There we go. And it's the Christmas season, so I get to wear them Christmas shirts. Jen Ro out on assignment tonight. She will be joining us, I'm sure, next weekend because we'll be on it Saturday this week. We'll talk about all that later. Let's go down the deis below me on my screen is my co-host and a man whose shirt is almost as cool as mine. He is Alex. Hey, man. >> You know, it actually was the second shirt I grabbed. I thought about going with a holiday shirt as well, but I was trying to do the math.
And I think we may have one more Clubhouse before Christmas. >> We've got one more. We have exactly one more. That's on Saturday. >> So, I will be saving my Christmas shirt for then. >> Oh, I have so many. >> I know you do. I do not. >> Also joining us at the bottom of my screen is the official fact checker of Sooner Gator Productions and a man. He's so mysterious he's in the dark. You may know him as Igbonu, but his mama name him Don Ford. I'm gonna call him Don Ford. Hey, man. >> Well, okay. I'm gonna do the lighting.
I want to bring up something. We got a gift card from a company that does food delivery and I want to say not to give out their the the company. Um, but don't dash to the door if they >> So, it rhymes with more dash. >> Yeah, exactly. I want to say this. We got a gift card. We went to redeem it last night and it says it was invalid. And so then we called the number and said, "Hey." And they go, "Was used really?" Well, we never used it. Maybe it was stolen. And then they go, "Well, uh, we can't help you out on that." So, anybody thinking about buying a gift card for some company that that rhymes with more more rash?
Because that's what you are. Your gift cards are a big rash of the more big more rash. You guys are a fraud company. I just have to get that off that chest because we had good money put in that company. We tried to redeem the card. It was stolen from us. It was no good. It's their company's card. I'm mad. I am mad at this. >> So, Dom would like to say this the following to you. >> I HATE YOU ALL SO MUCH. >> IS THAT WHAT you're trying to say, Don? >> To that one company. >> Okay. >> However, if Door Dash would like to sponsor the show, we will talk nicely about them.
>> You can give me some gift cards. >> We will mute Don Ford and talk nicely about Door Dash if you wish. that ability. >> Let us dive right in. We want to thank everybody that tuned in last weekend for Who Needs Sleep. Alex and I had a great time doing the show. We had a mini version of this show that I thought was really good. >> Oh, I loved it. Actually, it was it was really great because it was stick and move. We were done in 30 minutes and realized, oh well, we covered everything we were going to cover.
>> We had a very mini version of the show, but thank you everybody that donated. We cleared $6,000 in two days, which we did more than Josh Gad did last weekend. So, I will wear that like a badge. >> And I bet that fact. >> So, you got the three time Iron Man. >> Uh, I will be four, Don. >> No, you got Oh, that was four. Okay. I'm sorry. >> That was four. >> That was four. Four time Iron Man. Sorry. >> 17, 18, 19, 20. >> Yep. >> Congratulations on that, sir. >> 144 hours total. And it wasn't as bad as last year when I got home, but it was it was in the ballpark for sure.
And we want to thank everybody at Music City Mall who was amazing. They're going to be hosting us for the next five years. Vocal did an amazing job. And Vocal's got some awesome stuff coming in the in 2021 that we can't wait to share with you guys that will affect both of our shows. >> Cool beans. >> Yeah, which you guys, it's pretty dope. I ain't going to lie to you. Let's dive right in. Let's cover the sports because we don't have NASCAR for another two months. Yesterday, NCAA Auburn fires Gus Mzan.
He was 68 and 35 in eight seasons. Did Auburn really believe that they're still a powerhouse? >> Well, it's not about that. It's the fact that everything has been just atrocious when he hasn't, you know, paid for a quarterback. >> Stanford now the latest school to opt out of the bowl game contention. They weren't in it anyways. >> When is is next week selection Sunday? >> Uh I want to say the first game is on the 21st. >> So it' have to be >> So it would have to be somewhere in that >> Monday. >> I'll have to take a look at that.
>> Uh also, uh Kevin lost his job yesterday as well. >> I want to say he he got fired after a what 63-7 drumming. >> Let's get to that right now. Uh, Alex's both of Alex's alma moers are right at the top of the list for Yahoo this week. Uh, one one one didn't. FAU loses by two touchdowns to Southern Miss, but Pit beats Georgia by two touchdowns. So, technically, Alex, you broke even this weekend. >> I'll take it. 2020. I'll take even. >> Uh, North Texas wins by uh by a safety. Arizon State. Boy, remember when that was a rivalry?
Arizona, Arizona State. >> Yeah. You want to know why Kevin Sumlin got fired? >> 70-7. That's why >> Oh, I was off by one touchdown. Excuse me. I turned it off at 63. >> Ruters wins in overtime by a field goal. Utah upsets number 21 Colorado by 17. Number nine Georgia over number 25 Missou. 49-4. Georgia learned how to play football. Congratulations. Because my Gators didn't. Northwestern over Illinois by 18 points yesterday. And they'll be in the Big 10. >> Oh, sorry. Please go. >> They'll be in the Big 10 title game against Ohio State.
>> Well, did you see the statement from the Northwestern coach from Pat Fitzgerald? >> I did not, but I am rooting for them. >> Oh, I am rooting for them as well because obvious things are obvious. But Pat Fitzgerald basically said, "Yeah, let them in." We had a tougher schedule and our record is good, too. So, we're not catering or hiding from anyone. And I was like, "You know what? Respect to that." Penn State beats Sparty by 15 in the rapid decline that Sparty sends to be on this year. >> The rapid decline of the entire Big 10.
>> Yeah. number one Alabama who will take on Florida in the SEC championship game even though yesterday happened 52-3 over Arkansas. Eastern Michigan wins by eight. Let's see what else we have going on here. Buffalo over the zips of Akan. Another Ohio loss to Alex Shagrin 56-7. Uh Army Navy, if you had the under, collect your winnings at customer service. Army wins that game 15-nil. Coastal Carolina keeps it moving 4238 over Troy. Uh Miami, thanks for showing up at home yesterday. Yikes. All that noise.
We're number 10 in the country. All that noise. We're going to play number 17. We're gonna wamp ON THEM. YOU LOST 62 TO 26. You got the Allen drone score. You want a fun one? >> Always. >> So, who beat up on Miami? >> North Carolina. >> Who were so bad at one point they lost to FSU? >> Mhm. >> What is that? What is that math equation? The tangitive property. Florida's better than both of them. Uh, Iowa number 16 beats Badger. Badger. Badger. Badger. Badger by three touchdowns. Oklahoma State. How bad has Baylor gotten?
How bad is Baylor? 42-3 to the Cowboys. Memphis wins by a field goal. Florida State gets a win on the board over Duke 56 to35. Sucks to have the under again. >> And backing up real quick, uh Chuba Hubard has opted out for Oklahoma State. He basically laid waste to Baylor and went, "That's enough footage for the draft." >> Jeez. Uh LSU beats Florida in a nailbiter. I had to stop watching this game because it was not good for my blood pressure. But congratulations to LSU on a hard fog victory in the fog.
>> That was weird for me. Turn on the game. I was like, why is there fog? I mean, it's the swamp, but not literally. >> Well, usually people cut that down and with nobody there. Of course, Jay not with us, but he is happy because his TCU Horn Frogs beats L by seven or by six touchdowns yesterday. USC over UCLA barely by five. Auburn wins by two touchdowns. Uh let's see. BYU beat San Diego State by two touchdowns. And then you had 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 17 games canceled yesterday. Well, we do have uh selection Sunday is the 20th.
And if you want the most 2020 aspect of this, the first bowl game is before selection Sunday. When's the first bowl game? >> The 19th. And it is >> be able to do picks this year. >> Oh, no. No. We can do picks. >> We'll just have to do it off air. That's the problem. >> Well, the first g the first game's going to be the day before the show and we won't >> So then we won't count that one. >> So then we won't count the 19th. It's not a deal breakaker because it's SMU and UTSA playing in Frisco. It is the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl.
I skip it. >> How many bowls are they going to have this year with during this co thing? >> We don't know. >> We know of at least I want to say six that have been cancelled. >> They should basically do most of them. Who's going to care about the the I'm sorry. Um >> so Don clarify because they should do most of them. Are you saying they should CANCEL MOST OF THEM? >> YEAH. YEAH. >> They could do most of them. That me that would lead me to believe that you >> No, no, no, no. Okay. So, no. I'm saying you said they canceled about six and I go, they should do most.
>> I say they canceled eight. No, there are still 34 bowl games. >> Are you kidding? >> There are still 34 bowl games listed and that's not counting the ones that have been cancelled. But there's only one question burning in America's mind. >> I know where you're going. Hold on. >> If this does not happen, there could be rioting in the streets. Are we getting the Tony the Tiger Bowl? THIS IS WHAT I need to know. >> CUZ IF NOT, I GOT TO FIND YOU A PIN. >> I ALREADY HAVE A PIN. YOU GAVE ME ONE. >> I NEED FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL.
>> I don't have room. I don't have room underneath the one I have. And I don't think it would say second annual. I am not finding I am not >> I am not finding a Tony the Tiger Bowl, but I am finding a Duke's mayo bowl. >> Oh god. Why do we have the Bucks Bar and Grill from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana bowl? >> Because nobody cares about Montana but you. >> What did you just say, Alex? >> Duke's mayo bowl. >> Okay. I've heard of Duke's mayo. >> I have not. >> I have. It's mayonnaise.
What? >> Well, yeah. Duh. But >> why is the belt button not working? Thank you. >> But no, no Tony the Tiger Bowl. I'm not finding it. Wasn't it Tony the Tiger something else bowl? >> It was a Tony the Tiger El Paso bowl. >> El Paso. >> It was the El Paso bowl. It became the Tony the Tiger Bowl. >> You can find a uh 32 on Dukes Mayo at Walmart for 334. It's a yellow label with a black circle in it. Says Dukes. >> That's what she said. Okay, >> fact check. >> Let's move into the NFL, shall we? >> Please.
>> Thursday night. >> Hi, New England. >> Did you say AFL or NFL? >> NFL. The AFL. >> I thought you said AFL. I'm sorry. Go ahead. >> 24-3 Patriots lose to the Rams on Thursday night. Let's get into today. Chicago smart getting it at five and a half. Chicago get wamping on Houston today 36-7. The Cowboys got a win. >> Cal says half a win against the B. >> Let me let me tell you something. I don't know that the Cowboys won that game as much as Cincinnati lost that game cuz I watched most of that game today.
That was a comedy of errors by the Bengals. >> Yeah, we're tminus 20 minutes away from the Rob Schneider cut of fumble. Fumbleia start fumbling with >> as bad as my Gators looked >> because Florida Florida should have gotten wamped on last night cuz you gave up three turnovers in the first half. >> Yeah, but they were playing a very bad LSU team, which >> Speaking of my teams, the Chiefs. >> Uh-oh. >> Think what? What? What? Uhoh. >> Oh, Aaron Rogers down on the ground. >> He'll get up. He's invincible.
He's Aaron Rogers. >> Okay, he's getting up but slowly. It looks like a hip injury. >> He's got plenty of time to heal. Shut your mouth. I'm reporting >> uh Kansas City kind of messing around a little bit and keeping the Dolphins in the game today as they only won by six. >> No, the Dolphins are better than anybody gives them credit for, especially that defense. >> I'm just glad that I'm on the buy in fantasy football this week. >> Thank you, Alex. Uh Arizona all over your Giants. That was also kind of I only watched the last few minutes of the game because it was bonus coverage by >> it.
It was ugly. That was a little rough to watch. You know what it really tells me though? Daniel Jones may not be the answer. >> I don't think you've ever believed that though. That's >> I I believed that there was the possibility that he was the answer. Tampa Bay beats Minnesota 26 to 14. Denver over Carolina by five. Tennessee with one of the coolest touchdown catches I've seen all season today as they beat Jacksonville by three touchdowns. Indie final over Las Vegas 44 to27. Heather, you were worried about your Seahawks going into today.
I don't think you should have been because you won by 37. 37. And the Charges, they they covered, but not by much as they win over Atlanta by three. Currently going on 3:30 in the fourth quarter. Green Bay is up 10. Mason Crosby just kicked this 57 yard field goal. Wow, I like that. And yes, confirmed. >> How are they in the red zone if he kicked this 57 yard field goal? >> They Why would it say they're Are you watching it on the red zone? >> No, I have it on the on my Yahoo Sports screen. It says red zone.
I'm like, he kicked a 57 yard field goal. You take seven. That's only >> I think they were in the red zone before the Rogers hit. >> Okay, there you go. >> Uh New Orleans currently down 10 with 423 to go to Philadelphia. And football team is winning. football team is winning again. Don, you may not have to feel as bad as you did on Thanksgiving. >> Uh because they're up eight on San Francisco. >> It wasn't Thanksgiving. It It was It was >> It was the week after. It >> was the week after. >> It was the weekend.
Yeah. >> And it was delayed the game. It was a Monday afternoon game or whatever. >> That is true. Also, >> but you know, lost and I I appreciate you guys not giving me a bunch of flack about it, but I going Wait a minute. No, I mean it was just >> the pressure is off you now. The pressure is off you. >> And here's the thing. Let's say for instance we would have won this game and nine more. Would it have been tainted since it's a co year? >> You're still playing a complete season. You know, this is the only this is the only sport that I can say the NFL of the big four is the only one I can say I wouldn't be I'd be hesitant to put an asterisk on because they're playing a full schedule.
It may have gotten weird, but they got the whole season in at this point. Now, we don't know what's going to happen between now and February, but at this point, you're at least playing the games. Now, does it suck when you have to play your your game in the middle of the day because the the the network carrying your >> being delayed and all that stuffed to the the tree lighting in Rockefeller Center, which I think is hilarious, but and it's not because of Rockefeller Center. It's actually because of because it was carried live.
One moment. Hold on. Excuse me. Um, it's because of the live performers and the contracts they had to perform. I found out, but it is what it is. >> The Super Bowl this year coming up or whatever this the next year technically at the end of the season, the Super Bowl winner. Do you think they're going to have an aster because they say, "Hey, some teams only had >> No, it's not even a consideration. It's not even close to a consideration because everybody has the same level with COVID. They're dealing with the same thing." In fact, I'll take it in the opposite direction for you, Don.
Should the Steelers win, we're exactly 10 to 15 years away from a Disney movie about how everything was against the Steelers. They didn't have the positive test that other teams did. They got moved around all over and Roger Goodell will be the villain of the movie and it will be hilarious. >> Okay, I see. >> Let's get into week 15. And Alex, I'm going by the lines that I see on Yahoo, so don't give me any crap about it. Thursday night, >> the autumn wind is a raid >> as the Las Vegas Raiders host the Los Angeles Chargers.
Current odds I'm showing is Las Vegas minus three and a half. >> I don't like that half up above the three because it's going to be a close game the same way it was the first time around. >> Las Vegas has over double the win total. >> Yeah. and the Chargers keep finding ways to lon because or lose because Anthony Lynn sucks. So that's a stayaway game for me. But if I had to at gunpoint pick, I'd probably go with the Chargers. They're starting to play defense better. Their offense needs to get back under gun, though.
>> I just don't trust the Chargers in December. I would >> trust the Chargers. There you go. >> I would take Vegas at the minus three and a half. I think Vegas, you know, they didn't play great today, but they'll play well enough to beat the Chargers by at least four in my opinion. Buffalo will be at Denver. Buffalo is giving five on the road >> all day, every day. >> This is also a Saturday game. We have actually Saturday games starting in week 15. We have two of them. That will be at uh 3:30 p.m.
Central. >> And then and that'll be on both games this Saturday will be on NFL Network. They will not be on major networks. The late game at 7:15 Central, Carolina at a Aon Rogers in the Green Bay Pack is Green Bay is giving seven and a half at this point. >> This is a stay away, but when you have Teddy Bridgewwater, who I am a big fan of versus Aaron Rogers. >> Yeah, I saw Carolina play today. Give me Green Bay. >> Let's go to next Sunday, the early games on Fox. Tampa Bay at Atlanta. Uh, New Orleans trying currently trying to seal up the NFC South.
Tampa Bay on the road is giving two. They've doubled Atlanta's win total. >> Uh, could I get a teaser where I could bet that Tampa Bay will win by 10? >> Did you see the You probably missed McAfee on on Friday. >> Mhm. >> So AJ Hawk did all his picks. He picked like seven underdogs this week. >> Uhoh. >> And it was one of those parlays that if you put 10 bucks down, you would win 82 grand. because >> Yeah, that sounds right. >> I mean, is that is that worth 10 bucks? Maybe. >> Yeah, Stephen. >> Early game on Sunday.
San Francisco coming to Arlington, Texas to play the Cowboys. San Francisco's getting a field goal. >> Man, they thought this was going to be a bigger game. Remember, this was supposed to be the Sunday night game and got flexed. >> And this was this is always I remember back in the day that this was a huge rivalry game and it's not. Yeah, but this this was your Sunday night game and got flexed out. >> So, the Cowboys got relegated for the Giants, so that's fun. >> Detroit will be going to Tennessee.
Tennessee's given Detroit eight in their own house. >> Tennessee has not been that good. Uh, give me give me Detroit to cover, but they're not going to win. >> It's going to that's going to be sloppy football in my personal opinion. >> Oh, it's going to be sloppy all over the place. But >> the Indianapolis Colts back home this week hosting the Houston Texans. Indy's given him six. >> And Indie is looking like a legit challenger to Kansas City. So give me Indie >> with my backup quarterback. Thank you very much.
>> Hey, you may be your starter quarterback depending on how Rogers feels. Well, but dude, if Philip Rivers wins me the championship, >> then you would have room to be dramatic. >> I would get a Tik Tok account just to do that dance video. NFC East battle. AFC East battle at the early game on CBS next Sunday. Dolphins at home hosting the Patriots in December, which I will always be happy when we're at Joe Robbie in December to play the Patriots. We're giving them two and a half. >> Uh, still give me the Dolphins.
They're going to beat them like they owe money. >> Yeah, New England's not even 500 right now, which is crazy. >> New England's not as bad as their record is. It's been a tough road, especially when you look at how schedules are built, but they're not good either. >> Oh, I can't wait to talk about Pittsburgh. Holy crap. >> What? >> No, Don, it's a good thing. >> We'll get there. >> Chicago will be at Minnesota early next Sunday. Minnesota's giving them six. >> Giving. >> They're giving. They are minus six.
>> Okay. If the Chicago team that shows up today, give me that all day, every day. >> I'll play on Minnesota if they play anything like they played today. >> Exactly. Although Minnesota has been playing great on offense. >> Seattle coming across the country to play football team. >> Seattle's giving three. I think I would hammer. >> Wait, that's it? >> That's what it is right now. >> Seattle. >> I was really thinking I was going to be taking football team with a different line because I always, one of the things I always look for that West Coast team playing an early kickoff on the East Coast and if they're only giving them three, please give me Seattle.
>> Oh, speaking of which, I do have a correction. Uh, I said that McAfei's betting show was called Bear Don. I was wrong. It's called Hammer Dan. >> Ah, because of his hammer. Yes, >> correct. Uh, Jacksonville will be at Baltimore. >> Baltimore does not look good, but >> Baltimore's giving them 11 and a half. >> Jacksonville only one game better than the Jets. >> And has one more win than me. I might still take Jacksonville. >> Really? They haven't gotten blown out in any games that I can think of.
>> Well, let's talk about the biggest line of the week right now as the Rams host the Jets. >> 13 and a half, my friend. >> Still not enough. >> Yikes. I'm pretty sure the Rams defense might cover that by themselves. >> And that's my defense. Thank you very much. >> You're welcome. >> That's my defense in my first playoff game. I'm very excited right now. Philadelphia will be at Arizona next week. We're now uh we are now into the late games. Uh New York LA was the first late game that's that's been listed so far.
Arizona giving six and a half. This game kind of scares me. >> Interestingly enough, with the way that Philly has looked right now and against New Orleans, give me Philly. Give me Philly all over the place. Arizona looked good today, but the Giants are half a team. Kansas City at New Orleans. >> That's the showdown. >> KC's given them three. >> I would have played a game like the plague. >> Seeing how they're playing against Philly, give me Kansas City. The problem that Kansas City has had all year is being ahead by too much and then backdooring a higher number at three all day, every day.
Give me Give me the Chiefs. >> I I need the I need two players on that team to do very well next Sunday. Technically, you need three, but that's because that's who's delivering the ball. >> Next Sunday night, your Giants are hosting the Cleveland Browns. We're going to get crushed. Cleveland's giving you three. We're going to get crushed. >> We live in a world where the Cleveland Browns are nine and three. >> And they're going to overtake the Steelers at some point, probably. >> Oh, don't go there.
>> Well, let's talk about the Steelers on Monday night. This week you will be going to Cincinnati who just lost to the Cowboys at home. >> Yeah, >> Pittsburgh is giving them 11 points right now >> in the jungle. >> See, that's the thing, you know, it's like um God um >> he's afraid to get cocky with it. Well, no. The thing is is that, you know, here's first off, Alex going, you know, root for Ohio team, which is scary on my part there, you know. I mean, but, you know, you're talking about Cleveland and stuff.
>> I didn't say I was rooting for them. >> No, you're saying that they'll win, but that's a Ohio team, you know. But, you know, it was so weird. The history was is that that loss of the Steelers, if they're ahead 14 points or more at Hines Field, they have only lost one game. That was the second game they ever lost when they were ahead 14 points. >> Yeah. >> You know, >> we can take them at minus 11, Don. >> Yeah. Well, the thing is you got to look how many games are left after this. We got Cincinnati, which will probably be a a go.
>> That's a win. >> Yeah. Buffalo's going to be tough. You know, >> Buffalo they're going to lose to. >> You think so? Honestly, >> I I I not answering the question. What >> would you take the Steelers minus 11 at Cincinnati? >> Yeah, I would. If I had to bet that, yeah, I would. >> Alex nodding in agreement. >> I agree. >> Yeah, >> but I I will also say that I have a financial investment in the Steelers losing tonight. >> Oh, I I understand. What's the line anyways? >> Uh I believe I got it at two and a half.
Hold up. >> Two and a half. >> Checking. >> No, is that Buffalo went ahead or is that >> Buffalo giving two and a half? >> So Buffalo's uh is actually uh the favorite, right? >> Yes. So, we can start talking playoffs now because we're close enough. Pittsburgh with the Miami loss has clinched a playoff spot. Kansas City clinched the division for the fifth time in a row and 13th overall with their win today. If the playoffs started today, remember this year only the only the top seed gets the buy this year.
So right now your buys would be New Orleans and Kansas City. >> Why would KC get the buy? >> Uh they have a tiebreaker right now. It's it's real time, Don, because they have 12 wins versus Pittsburgh having 11 at this point. >> Okay. Cuz >> so if Pittsburgh won tonight, >> Yeah. >> they would be back in first. It's just the fact that they have one less game. >> Yeah. Because their only loss was a out of conference team, >> right? Because they have a better conference record. But like I've said, this is in real time.
So by technical definition, Casey's up a half a game. >> Okay. All right. >> So if we started tomorrow, >> don't worry, they'll be one game fully behind by tomorrow morning. >> Oh, yeah. I believe >> KC would get the winner of Pittsburgh Miami. >> Yeah, that would be the first round, Don. Buffalo would have Indie. Tennessee would have Cleveland. In the NFC, New Orleans would get the winner of Green Bay, Arizona. Then you would have the Rams, Tampa Bay, and Washington, Seattle. >> So you said Casey would get the winner of what?
>> Pittsburgh, Miami. >> How many teams are going to the playoffs this year? Is it not six? >> Seven in each conference. >> Seven in. >> That's why there's only one buy. >> There's only That's why >> Pittsburgh would Pittsburgh have the number two seed? >> That is correct. Miami would be number seven. >> Okay. So, but the thing is is that if Pittsburgh won though, >> they would play go to Kansas City. >> No, they wouldn't necessar They wouldn't play Kansas City. They'd be on the opposite end of the game.
>> Miami would go to >> Oh, I'm just It's the way they're lined up on the screen. They're not lined up correctly. I'm sorry. That's my mistake. >> Okay. >> I'm used to it being structured so I can see who plays who in brackets, but they're not doing it that way right now. >> So KC would probably play Yeah, they would play that winner, wouldn't they? >> No. >> No, because they'd be the opposite side. You'd have Kansas City at the top with a buy and you'd have Pittsburgh at the bottom against Miami.
>> So what they would play would be the winner of I want to say four or five. >> Well, no depends on Tennessee Cleveland then. >> No. No. What happens is if Miami was to win, they would be the number seven seed. >> That is correct. >> Be the bottom rung. They would go to KC at that point. But if Pittsburgh won, it would be a totally different team at the Cor. >> They would get the winner of Buffalo Indie. Yeah, they would get >> if there is receding. We don't know if it's receding. >> Yeah, if K if KC is number one, they would get the the winner of that's the lowest ranked winner of the week of the first round of playoffs.
>> Math. I hate math so much. Just >> it's the lowest lowest surviving number is the person that goes to number one. So, >> all right, let's go ahead and get into TV talk now because we got a lot of TV talk this week. Uh, found out today one of my wife's favorite shows, The Rookie with Nathan Fillian has a new cast member this year and his name is Brandon Ruth. >> Oh, really? >> Yes. >> Superman joining MAL. So, you're you're your shirt being represented right now, Alex. >> I didn't know about this headline to be honest.
Uh AMC has a special streaming service called UMC, which is actually own is a co-op with AMC and BE that is going to be renamed, and I'm I'm going to have to spell it for you because it's not spelled like it sounds. It's going to be called All Black, but that's A L LK. So, if that is a if UMC is a service you currently have, it will be changing its name very soon. Be aware of that. Uh Apple TV has renewed for all Mankind for season 3. Go ahead, Alex. Uh there is no receding this year for the NFL.
So the number one seed in the AFC, so incurrent situation, Kansas City would face whoever wins out of seeds four and five. >> Seeds three and six would play, whoever wins from that would play the winner of seeds two and seven with the higher seed hosting. >> Okay, there you go. >> So there is no reeding this year. Uh, so before All Mankind getting season 3 from Apple TV, I've heard very very good things about that show, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Uh, if we we talked a few probably a couple of months ago about CBS doing a Silence of the Lamb series called Clarice, they have now set the the debut date for that to be February 11th at 10:9 central.
that is actually going to be uh 30 years almost to the day if not the day uh and I need to look that up of let me just verify that before I say it as soon as I can learn how to do things. Dad gum it all the New Jersey. This computer is very very slow. Give me just a moment because I know it's right around the same time. It might be the same day. 30 years to the day. Give me just one moment. I can look that up for you. By the way, uh, okay. So, Silence of the Lands did release on Valentine's Day in 1991.
So, it will be three days shy. I thought it did. Three days shy of 30 years to the day for the TV series. >> What else we have going on? Uh Disney Plus, be aware next month if you have a membership, it will go up $1 a month if you pay monthly. If you pay yearly, it's going to go up 10 bucks. But given what Disney did Thursday and Friday, it's kind of okay. >> Why would they do Thursday and Friday? >> Have you Oh, Don, >> you don't know. >> I BETTER CALL SOMEBODY. >> I'M WORKING ON I'm working on visuals.
So, Don, here's what you need to know. I didn't know, so I need to call somebody. >> No, this not last call. Okay. >> Uh Disney had a I said, "Go ahead. Go." Sorry. >> That's the theme I used for last call when I used to DJ. >> Oh, okay. I didn't know that. >> Yeah. >> Well, I heard I forgot. >> Welcome back to the show, Don. >> Okay. >> Disney had a call for their investors, which normally it's about like finances and all that stuff. Not this one, brother. Alex, do I need to let you share your screen?
I need to make sure that's available to do all participants. So, we're good there. Not being able to find it. Alex, you're muted. >> I'm trying to find the image to truly drive the point home. Well, you should have three different ones or four different ones. >> No, I'm I'm looking for this one. No, hold on. This one. So, I >> Which one are we starting with? >> Just a moment. I'm literally going with the widpread share. So the Okay, this is this is all of the star the basically the the the Star Warslucasfilm stuff that they announced on Friday, I believe.
>> Mhm. >> Children of Blood and Bone, Star Wars Visions, which will be more of an anime type series, imagining Star Wars stories. Rangers of the New Republic, we have not heard a lot about. Of course, the Mandalorian we know about. There will be a Lando series. I like the fan theory of Billy D telling it in kind of a retro style where he's remember this. >> How I Met Your Falcon >> when I was on the Falcon. And then you have Donald Glover playing the younger version of him in that. I'm all on board for this.
Uh you have a droid story coming out. Uh Ahsoka Tano getting her own series after being so wellreceived on the Mandalorian two weeks ago. Andor is our friend Diego Luna, former guest on the show, and his character from Rogue One in his own series. There is a trailer out for that. That looks amazing. The Bad Batch is a spin-off from Clone Wars will be animated also looks great. >> So excited. >> Obi-Wan Kenobi happening. And they just announced on Friday, Hayden Christensen will be in the Obi-Wan series as Anakin.
The Acolyte we don't know enough about yet, but we assume it will be something empire-based. You will be getting a fifth Indiana Jones film with Harrison Ford dropping in 2022. And in what could be one of the coolest announcements, that's what I'm getting to. I was saving that for last, sir. That's the hammer. >> Yeah. >> Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 84, will be directing Rogue Squadron. She does a great promo on Twitter where she talks about how her father was a fighter pilot and how she grew up around it and she was able to get a project where she can combine two of her favorite loves and that's being in the air in Star Wars as she put on an X-wing pilot uniform and walked towards an X-wing and my jaw hit the floor.
>> So that is that might be the fifth most interesting one for me and yet it's still very high. You also have the Willow series coming. That's actually going to be a series, not a film. >> Like the Are you talking about the ones with the the vertically challenged Willow >> with Warick Davis? >> Correct. With Warick Davis. Well, >> we'll see if he's involved, but yes, the Ron Howard film. >> Okay. >> Marvel announcements. We know now that Wanda Division is scheduled to drop on January the 15th, I believe, is the is the new date for Wanda Vision.
They have announced Armor Wars, which means we will be getting War Machine back and probably Sam or Rockwell's character from Iron Man. Was it two I believe that he was in cuz three was Yeah, two was him because three was >> was Guy Pierce. >> Correct. Uh Iron Heart will be getting her own series as well. I'm very excited about that. >> Secret Invasion is going to be a series. So, I I got a feeling that they're going to intro that in Captain Marvel 2 because Secret Invasion is about the scroll creole war.
Ant-Man and the Wasp. The that subtitle be will be Quantum Mania. No word whether uh Hulk Hogan or a CGI Andre the Giant will be involved. >> Brother, >> I am Groot. So, Groot's going to get his own series coming out, which I'm very excited about. and we're gonna see. We're gonna try this Fantastic Four thing again, but I have a lot more faith in it because Fox has nothing to do with it except that it's owned by Disney. So, please get this right. I beg of you. That's That is the the image that they put up there.
>> So, the other ones I was thinking was the Miz Marvel series announcement. >> Very excited about that. finally got their first trailer for Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which >> very intrigued by though I don't know how I feel about Sebastian Stan with shorter hair, >> but we'll see. The other one was the Did you watch the Loki trailer? >> I watched all of it. >> Okay. I watched the Loki trailer. I was confused. I was unsure and I wanted more of it. >> Then it did its job, my friend. >> Exactly.
>> And your casting for Shang Chi, which I'm very excited about. And >> I believe that was the last one on this page. >> Yes, sir. >> They mentioned the quantum mania, but adding Jonathan Major as Kang the Conqueror. >> All right. Big news for Alex Disney. Do you think they're doing too much >> on this? How dare you? >> I mean, that's I'm being honest. I mean, sometimes is it quality over quantity? >> No. >> You know, are they really too milking us too much? They're giving us something. >> What do you think?
>> What about What about films though that will hit the theaters in two years from now? What's the slate on that? Are they even talking on that? >> Very little. And I'm okay with it. Take your time. >> Because my worry is Yeah, you got the Lando, you got Obi-Wan, all this. I'm just I've said it before, I'm going to say it again. You're gonna have a Jar Jar series. I'm worried they're gonna say the Jar Jar series. I don't >> Do we Do we want to talk about this? Do we do we want to talk about the Buzz Lightyear movie?
>> That's Young Buzz Lightyear. Thank you very much. >> Semantics. Uh but the other movies, most specifically for me, the Rescue Rangers. >> Yes. And they've got casting for that available, too. >> And Doug Days. Very excited about having Doug in his own series or movie or whatever the heck it is because I like >> We'll find out. Doug is my friend. Scrub. >> Big news for Alex more than me. >> We'll see. >> When he gets caught up, which he almost is, it's always Sunny gets four more seasons on top of the next one, which now >> you got five more seasons to go, sir.
Exceeding their record as the longest running live action series of all time. I appreciate the stupidity. >> Plus, to me, that one, well, see, to me that one's just a sac. It's just a victim of time for me. It's not that I don't like It's Always Sunny. I love It's Always Sunny. It's just I with enough things that I have to do to prepare for our shows, it's just become a victim of time. That's all it is. They Oh, Don. Oh, Don. >> Don, I want you to pay attention because this one's for you, brother.
FX >> is developing an alien series. >> No, >> they are >> with Noah Howley who did Fargo and Legion for FX. He is developing an alien television series that will bring the xenomorph to Earth. My friend, how do you feel right now? Well, I'm scared because alien versus predator, you know, that was and then that alien uh AVPR. Oh god, when an alien comes to Earth, it was But if they could do it right, oh yeah, I'm gay. I'm gay. I am gay. >> This is in good hands, Don. This is a guy that's legion. But but doing ABPR and how they handled that one where they actually >> But that wasn't Earth, my friend.
>> What? ABPR? Alien versus Predator Reququum. >> I don't think Reququum was Earth. >> Oh, that was Earth, >> was it? >> Yep. That's where they hit the town. >> I thought that was another planet. >> No, Alien versus Predator was in the Arctic under the under the South Pole. The other the alien PR is when what happens is is that that dead the last surviving uh predator they take up to space and it was infected with the queen uh alien which was part predator now and the ship goes back to earth and crashes and starts causing havoc everywhere.
That was that was on Earth. Trust me on that >> in Gunnison Colorado. >> HBO is rebooting. See I read the original script for the first AP and it was humans but it wasn't on Earth. So that that's probably where I got confused. Yeah, >> cuz the original script for the first one was amazing. And they use most of that in Reququum, but not the best ways. HBO is rebooting True Blood, which will probably make my wife happy. >> It'll make Shawn happy. My wife did. I bought my wife the books after the series.
She did not enjoy the books. She liked the series. She did not enjoy the books. >> I appreciate Sean's positivity with it going, "Well, it's not the show, and I like the show better because I can see it, but the book's okay." >> Okay, fair enough. Hulu has renewed The Handsmaid's Tale for season 5. And I'm not saying that I'm considering canceling my Hulu subscription because Animeaniacs keeps me holding on. And hey, AT&T, get your head right. ABC is blacked out on my AT&T TV right now. And if I didn't have Hulu, I wouldn't have the Goldbergs right now.
However, apparently Hulu has inked a deal and will bringing be bringing us new Kardashian shows next year. >> Oh boy, >> I can't wait. >> Hard pass. Uh NBC, very interesting news from them this week. They're working on a Zoro series, >> gender swapping the main character. >> Yes, I don't care. More Zoro. This will be produced by Soph Sophia Vgara and Robert Rebecca Rodriguez are involved as well. >> Sophia Vagaraa, how you doing? >> So, hey, I want to talk about this uh ABC and tenant deal with um with Universe and also uh Direct TV and all that and AT&T >> been out of the ABC from now tomorrow.
No, Tuesday will be two weeks. Okay. >> Oh, has it been that long? >> Yeah. >> Wow. cuz we're having to watch it like trying to do it interactively to watch Big Sky because that's the only thing I really really miss from that network. And that Big Sky show is good. I will say that right now. I love that show Big Sky. Not to say because it's Montana, but it's a good show. It's a good plot. I really really enjoyed it. But the thing is is like why can't they deal? I know costs go up, but then tenants saying, "Hey, you want our product?
We're going to have to charge you this much more." But then AT&T says that's too much. Is Tenant being too greedy? Is AT&T being too cheap? Because they had a deal and obviously if they would have kept the same deal, everything been great. But AT&T I mean but Tenant wants more money to to have the permission to use their their network. Is Tenant the bad guy here? >> This would be the first time that I've seen a stalemate like this go this long. >> Yeah. Usually it's a day. Oh, it's going to go away.
And then at the 11th hour, oh, we got a deal done. >> Or if it goes off, it's a day or two, >> right? >> Maybe three, four at most. This is going to be coming up to two weeks on on >> Well, and here's what's interesting to me is don't have ABC, but I got all my Disney stuff and I got ESPN. So, but Don, the answer to all of your questions is money. >> I know. But I will say this also on TV though I would say that we started watching that one um Brian Crankstdale the your honor on Showtime the first episode was that was good >> and the unforgiving with Nicole Keman you know much I hate Nicole Keman that was a good series it's over now but I liked how they >> the undoing >> the undoing I'm sorry >> unforgiving is a Clint Eastwood >> I know okay but the unoing but that your honor we saw the first one the last uh a week ago and the second one's tonight worth watching >> I am interested in this new Bee's documentary that dropped yesterday.
I want to check that out, Alex. >> Well, we also have some other uh TV news in the ABC realm. So, we really need to make sure that this gets fixed because the SEC is moving to ABC. >> Still in the same family, but yeah. >> No, from CBS to ABC. >> Well, but ESPN has the SEC network. That's what made me think of it. >> Right. But what I'm saying is is all of your >> the SEC contract. >> Yes. They've had >> starting in 2024. >> Time. Well, 2024. We got time. >> I understand that. But that came down three days ago.
>> Wow. >> Yeah. >> So now tell me what you have on CBS for me to watch. >> I know my wife has shows on CBS. I don't. >> Nor do I. >> NCIS 60 Minutes. >> Don't care. >> Just saying. >> And uh SNL this week. Last night's SNL was meh for me. Timothy Shalamé, very funny, but a lot of it was kind of meh, but it had the boss. So, when you got the boss, the boss is automatically going to make it a great episode. Uh, this week promoting Wonder Woman 84, you will have the show hosted by one Christristen Wii and your musical guest is the Duual Lia.
So, get ready for that. >> Dual Lipa. >> Duualipa. She's very popular. Okay. Care with the clothes in the hair. >> That is correct. >> Okay. >> So, Alex, did you see the Netflix announcement for a new series they've got coming on next month that I think you're going to be very interested in. >> You're going to have to be more specific. >> It's a six- part series. Don, pay attention to this. >> Listen. Listen. >> Hosted by Nicholas Cage. >> Okay. >> The history of cursing. >> Really? >> Yep. And it'll be a different curse word every episode for six episodes.
>> Should we clarify to the viewing audience that I wander the halls of vocals swearing up a storm so I don't do it on air and still fail periodically? >> And it's hosted by Nicholas Cage >> because why the not >> so you go from being an Oscar winner to hosting a series about cursing on Netflix. >> It's Nicholas Cage. He doesn't say no. >> I'd rather it be Samuel Jackson. Oh, they couldn't afford him. >> But the word will be >> uh could you just clarify how many George Carllins? >> Uh it that the F word is one, the sword is one, >> the B word is one.
Uh four of the six you can actually say on radio. The meow word is one. >> Okay. >> Oh, I got there. Okay. Uh >> Rusev >> the the Hoover Blank is one. The Hoover. >> Really? >> Yeah. >> Like dang. >> And um Richard is one. >> I think that's all six. I think this is so bad. >> But it's a six- part series hitting Netflix next month. >> Yes. Auto correct. I always meant to say duck off. >> Vice President Dick Cheney. former vice president. >> Well, he he still if you were to address him today, you'd still call him Mr.
Vice President. >> I'm not sure you'd be addressing him today, Don. >> Well, I was going to say, but >> isn't he no longer with us? >> No, Dick Chain, he's alive. >> You're the fact checker. Verify that for me. He's in a tube somewhere. But >> I He's in a tube in Wyoming. But yeah, hold on. >> I thought nobody goes to Wyoming on purpose. >> I did. I was born there. They go to see my place where I was born. It's going to be a national hallmark. >> Uh let's just move on. Paramount Plus is reviving I Carly.
>> Okay. >> Miranda Costrove, Jerry Trainer, and Nathan Crest will be returning. >> I don't know who any >> way after my time, >> but it's good for the kids at the closing the hair. >> I know both of you are big fans of The Dark Side of the Ring. Vice is doing two spin-offs. >> Oh, really? >> One will be about football. >> And the other one will be about 90s culture. >> Okay. H >> because8s culture pretty much. >> Speaking of the Yeah. Dark Side of the Ring, the next season, I heard another one they're going to do is a Brian Pilman death.
>> We've actually talked about that. >> I know. I know. But I heard that that's one that they're really slating now. That was an update since whence we last talked about it was Brian Pilman. Uh Dick Cheney was born in 1941. He's 79 years old and he's still alive according to the way. >> He still lives. Okay, fair enough. >> Depends on your definition of alive, but yes. >> And by the way, on that cursing thing, what word starts with F and ends with UK? Fire truck. Okay, I'm I'm done. Fire truck. There you go.
I need therapy. >> I like to let that entire drop play. >> Especially on that one forever. >> Oh, we could do this one, too. >> I was >> I'm still There's another drop. I was expecting >> Which one? I have so many. >> The song one. The one that you made. I don't I I don't I I have to be at the studio for that because that's not in my in the in in the app. >> TV on DV and Blu-ray this week. Season 4 of The Expanse, the show that will not go away. >> It's just canled. It's back. >> And uh Undertaker's The Last Ride will be available on Blu-ray and DVD this week.
>> Really? >> Yes. >> Some sad news in the music world this week. Uh we usually we we've stopped doing inmemoriam but we have to do this one because this is someone who has been on our show. >> The great Charlie Pride passed away this week at the age of 86. >> Uh Don was just telling the story a couple of weeks ago >> when we had him on the show. And >> one of the things we like to do when we do our live remote shows and we have someone of Mr. Pride stature is I make them introduce themselves because I believe no one will believe me if I say it.
What did he say, Don? This is Billy D. Williams. >> He did indeed introduce himself as Billy D. Williams. Very funny, very engaging. We were so proud to have him as a guest on our little show. Absolute legend. Uh I was >> Go ahead, Don. >> Pure class act. Even the time he because everybody was trying to get him and he came to us first and how much time he gave us. But, you know, really nice. And I remember when they came up to me, he goes, "I'll go to your show, but I want some popcorn." >> He did want his popcorn.
And good >> popcorn. And he ate the popcorn on the show. >> The look on his face when they brought him the popcorn. I wish we had a picture of absolute legend on every level. >> USA Film Festival is when we had it. I remember that. Mhm. >> I saw a tweet from somebody over the weekend that said they were working on uh some things and Darius Rucker really pushed them to look into Charlie Pride's story and the things that he overcame in the 50s and 60s. And his story is amazing. I would uh I would implore you to look it up and honor the man's legend and his life.
And our deepest go out to his family and friends. The great Charlie Pride gone at 86. Kevin say bucket of win my friend. And what really kicked in is that was the night that Gary got hit. >> That was the same No, that was the Dallas International Film Festival, Don. Not the >> Well, we did them the same night, remember? >> Oh, we did we did those shows. That's right. Then we did the show upstairs, then we did the other show downstairs that night. >> Yep. >> Wow. >> Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, that really, you know, and you know, here's the thing, and I don't know if we want to, you know, we could fly by this if you want, is some people can saying that the CMA awards that he was on just recently may have been a reason he got CO.
>> I don't want to deal in conjecture. >> Yeah, >> we don't have We know that we died from complications of COVID 19, >> but we don't know. >> Yeah. the fact that people are putting those theories and rumors out there, I will not comment to that because we don't know that as fact. And even like we've had things I've told the story a couple of times recently where we've had a couple of major events happen while we were on the air and I will not report them without three verified trusted sources in doing so.
Uh right now that's all conjecture until we know for sure and we may never know for sure exactly where it came from. I it really does it really does kind of bother me when people will just put that out there. It's like no, do the research. Don't don't deal in theories. Deal in fact because that's what gets people in trouble. That's what what causes rebel rousing and things of that nature. And I just >> and I and about this disease, I mean that makes the point right there that you know this is not a joke, you know, and uh we we all have to take it seriously and how we lost a great man because of this disease.
So, please don't say it's a hoax. Please don't whatever. Please do. >> We've lost a quarter of a million great folks. >> Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. >> In other news, it's kind of hard to transition out of that, but we will try to do so. It was verified this week. Uh there were hints being dropped and and fans can u asking questions. Ariana Grande's latest tour, her sweetness tour, there will be an airing of that on the Netflix. She has reached a deal with them. So, if you are a fan of the Ariana Grande, you'll get to see her latest tour on Netflix.
No new music releases this week, which is kind of weird. Week before Christmas, you think people were blitzing it. If you did watch SNL last night, uh what's her first is it Maria Via Seenor? >> Yeah, >> remember that cast? She did an amazing Dolly Part Melissa. Melissa, you're right. She did an amazing Dolly Parton impersonation during Weekend Update that was really funny. very much enjoyed her. I love her impersonations. Some of her characters I'm not a huge fan of. I also see them now turning the Dion Warwick show into a thing.
Apparently Dion Warwick has joined Twitter and it's gone a little wheels off and they >> talk about that Dion Warwick show they did last night with >> what's her name? Who's the one that did Dion? Was it uh the girl from Nigeria? She just became a cast member recently. >> Yeah. Uh yeah, that was her. Uma. Sorry. last her last name is Muin, I believe. >> Yeah. >> Uh, some movie news this week. Interesting announcement this week. There's a movie coming out called Wander Darkly with KJ Appa. What is going on right now?
We've been getting a lot of links for movies to watch as we wrap up the year. Man, a lot of it's dark. Not a lot of like upbeat, happy chipper stuff. It's all really dark right now. now I'm like kind I'm kind of like dude not helping. But the director of the Wonder Darkly movie, uh, Tara Mle, M I E L E is how you spell her last name. She will adapt the script and direct the memoir of Carol Bernett. I am very interested in this. >> Real fast. Egoy. It's NY, my ego. Yeah, ego. >> Uh, that bop was at Focus Pictures.
Apple has gotten a hold of it. So, that will probably be going to Apple TV. And we have not had a biopic of the great Carol Bernett. So, I'm very interested in this. Uh, what is going on with Spider-Man 3? What What are we doing? Are we turning this into a liveaction Spiderverse? What is happening right now? >> That's exactly >> because now we're saying Kirsten Dun is coming back. We're saying Alfred Molina's coming back. Jamie Fox is coming back. >> YEAH. >> DON'T SCREW THIS UP. I I ALREADY DIDN'T dig far from home.
Don't sink farther down this hole. Unless that's how we're going to fix the whole Jonah Jameson unmasking him thing. And I'm still not sure I trust it. Stop it. Just give it to Marvel. Sony trying to keep them out of this is what's going to kill that franchise. They've proven it time and time and time again. Just give it to Marvel. Sony, lay it down cuz you can't do it without them. You can't give it back to Disney, please. I beg you. As I step out of my DC cup, and better news from Marvel this week, and and we've we've heard the rumors for a few weeks now.
It was verified this week for Black Panther 2, they will not be recasting Tchala. I fully am on board with this. >> But how do you do it? How would you do it if you had the book here? >> I like the the sheer concept, but I want her to be Iron Hart really really bad. >> You and I have been on that bandwagon for a while or pretty much since the first movie came out. Uh but I don't see how you go any other way. Well, my only thing is I'm not well enough versed in the Black Panther pantheon, if you will, to say who else could do that.
Um, but I I trust Disney to do the right thing. I'll be first in line to see it. I I saw somebody going completely off the rails and I don't know how I felt about it because I think it would get us to a good endgame, no pun intended, >> but the idea that something has happened, they're trying to revitalize Tala and they wind up with other family members, aka a cousin who was in the first one coming back as his better half, so to speak, and Michael B. Jordan being returned, not quite as Killilmonger, but in the bold of they're everybody's on edge because he was Killilmonger, but it's a different iteration kind of deal brought back >> that he's kind of seen the error of his ways and and wanted >> No, no, no.
That this is an entirely like thinking where it's like, I understand you thought I was this person, but I'm actually this because they're using the royal DNA or whatever you want to call it. Do we follow the the multiverse of madness and pull it from there, too? >> There's also that possibility. >> That comes after Doctor Strange. You can do whatever the heck you want. >> That's true. >> So, Rehea and the Last Dragon is going to get the Mulan treatment. It will hit theaters and Disney Plus at the same time with the premiere thing.
So, there is that. Uh Rachel McAdams, speaking of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she will return for that film. So, I'm very excited about that. Jamie Alexander will be returning as Lady Cif for Thor Love and Thunder, which is that cast is getting bigger and bigger every day because as we know, the Guardians of the Galaxy will be involved. So, we could get the Asgardians of the Galaxy if we're not if we're not careful. Uh, and in news that I'm not sure I feel good about because I I I've always felt this film was overrated.
Steven Soderberg did a film in the 90s called Sex Lies and Videotape. He is now doing a sequel to it with Laura Sanji Como and Andy McDow returning. No word on James Speder. I just this to me this was one of those '9s arts for arts sake kind of films that I said, "Yeah, I saw it. It was a thing. I'm moving on." And Soderberg for me is real hit or miss >> and maybe get a little pretentious. >> Yeah. And so I don't know how I feel about this. >> Like why not? I I I'm in a why not world at this point because we got to do something.
>> Yeah. So, so there is that movie new releases and places you see movie new releases this week uh on the Netflix, a play that has now been turned into a movie of Maine's Black Bottom. This takes place in the early 20th century with uh R&B artists kind of changing the game from jazz into rhythm and blues. Uh Boseman is in this >> and it looks Viola Davis. A very unrecognizable Viola Davis. >> Yeah, that caught me off guard when I first saw the trailer. >> Very interested in that. We also I mean I need to look this up.
See if I can get if I learn to spell Skylines. We have a sequel to Skyline and it is called Skyline. >> You mean another Skyline? Uh, when a virus threatens to turn the now earth dwelling friendly alien hybrids against humans, Captain Rose Corley must lead a team of elite mercenaries on a mission to the alien world in order to save what's left of humanity. Lindseay Morgan, Ronitra, Alexander Sadig, haven't heard his name in a long time. >> I know. I feel bad for at least two names you said. I love Ronitra.
I love Alexander Sadig. This is going to be terrible. It's been 10 years since the first one. That's right. There was Beyond Skyline, too. >> Exactly. >> With Frank Gillo. >> But you also remember, isn't Skyline the one where everybody who made the first movie got sued because the production company stole everything from Battle of Los Angeles? >> I think. No, I thought that was Was that Skyline? I think that was Skyline. Could be. I don't know. Uh, movies on DVD and Blu-ray this week. Tenant available to you this week.
should you choose to do so. We have a two dis limited edition of the original Tremors >> because because Kevin Bacon, Fred Willard, and is that Fred Willard? Was that him in that? And uh Reeba McIntyre. >> Oh, it's Fred Ward. >> Fred Ward. Yes. Fred Willard's the other. I get get those names mixed up. >> Sorry, I was busy adjusting my earpiece. >> Michael Gross was in the original. >> I like that show. That was funny. It was good. >> I enjoyed the original. Oh, Ariana Richards was in the original.
The little girl from Jurassic Park. >> Oh, really? >> Mhm. Victor Wong was in the original. >> Oh, yeah. >> Okay. Anything with Victor Wong has to be inherently funny, right? >> Yeah. Well, it's it's very tongue and cheek. the original. >> But what but what I'm saying is I can't think of a movie where I've seen Victor Wong in it that didn't make me feel happy and laugh. >> I you know we got that going for us which is nice. >> I mean that that would be an interesting study right there. >> The complete collection of the Itman movies even though we're getting another one.
So maybe the almost complete collection. >> The complete so far. >> Currently currently complete. How about that? And the Criterion Collection will be releasing the highly acclaimed film Amores Peros this week, which I believe was in the late 90s. Very, very critically acclaimed film. I mean, if I only had a box that would tell me that it was from 2000. >> 2000. Yes. >> Where's all my information on this? Good lord. >> Oh, it's uh Alejandro Gonzalez Into. >> Yes. in a early I think it was his first major film if I'm not mistaken.
>> Checking on it now. >> Anything that we haven't talked about that you gentlemen would like to do? So, >> no, I don't think we have anything for tech talk in like how weird is it that we don't have anything for tech talk going into a holiday. >> The only thing I can talk about in tech talk is there there's been some issues with Cyberpunk if you're playing it on the PS4 because apparently it was more designed for the PS5. So, people that are playing it on the PS4 are experiencing some issues. Uh, sorry about your bad luck.
Not going to lie, I genuinely feel like the old man trying to play it cuz I'm like, there's so much going on. It's such a gorgeous looking game, but man, is it complex. Amore Sparrow was his first feature film. All right. Anything else we need to talk about today? >> Think we got it covered. Let's head into the holiday season. Looking good. >> All right. Our next episode will be Saturday afternoon because we're going into a pay-per-view weekend and then we'll let you know what we're doing from there.
Uh cuz that following weekend's going to be Christmas weekend and then that following is going to be New Year's weekend. So, the four of us need to get together and get a plan put together.
