The Deconstruction of NXT Deadline 2024

Welcome to the deconstruction of NXT Deadline 2024.
If you are hearing this, you are at least,
was that that's a lieutenant level or bigger here
with the Clubhouse Podcast at Sunset Lounge DFW
or so glad that you're with us.
As you know, I am Rob and as you also know,
we do these as an audio medium
so that you can queue up the plea and watch along with us.
To my left and in his living room is my co-host
and a man who is snug as a bug in a rug, he is Alex.
Well, I'm just trying to be as comfortable as possible
because I do not have high expectations for this NXT plea,
but I'm willing to be surprised.
But isn't that kind of always the way
when we do these of, it's NXT, take it for what it is,
they don't tend to run long.
One of the things that you and I talked about
before starting this was the fact that other than
standing deliver, NXT historically has run a very tight plea.
They have hit their marks, they haven't really missed any deadlines.
It's been very impressive.
And this is also starting at 7 o'clock Eastern versus 8.
We believe because there is a UFC pay-per-view tonight.
We'll probably give you maybe 20, 30 minutes max
breathing time between if not running up against it.
Right.
So which is also the smart move because that then diagram is very, very good.
So we're going to see how this all works out.
We're getting ready with you, we'll let you know when this thing starts
so that we can talk about you getting aligned up with us.
So you know exactly where you're at.
Now, we are heading into the plea right now, but I want to give them credit.
I hope they stick to that where they explain the rules of the Iron Survivor matches.
They keep it in a lower third below the preview of it,
whereas we'll get an entire age that sits there explaining any match that comes up.
And it feels like dead space.
Okay, we're in the intro now.
We just hit the now, we have forever on the screen.
Then we're going to go to the back away from the weird crowd thing.
So we're together on the screen.
You now have the logo by itself shining like it does jump, jump, jump.
Did you notice that there was a subtle change?
They had red flickers across the WWE logo in anticipation of the Netflix.
Oh, I did not notice that.
Yeah, so we are really it's just shiny, but there was actual red flickering around the logo.
Now we're live outside of Minneapolis showing the stadium that we're not in tonight.
And Javon Evans, who is getting very bouncy on a roller coaster at Mall of America's.
There is Ethan Page.
Well, that's an excellent suit that he borrowed from Corey Graves.
How dare you.
I think Corey Graves gets his cues from the all we go.
And there is Stephanie Vaccare.
My future ex-wife.
How are you doing?
Who's apparently somewhere?
Looking at a mural, looking at a mural of prints as we come around
is Trick Williams, your current NXT champion.
And they finally had a good shot of the new version of the women's belt to match the men's earlier.
Which I like this new belt.
Five matches on the card tonight.
So if you did listen to our deconstruction of full gear, it is not going to be that long.
Thank God.
We're seeing a clock now because there's a deadline, I guess.
Alex does have the captioning on because we can't have the audio, because then it's going to be very confusing.
And you know, it's the internet, Lord only knows.
Yep.
All right.
Show you a little advice tag teams.
Now we have the montage of everybody.
Jada Parker and little advice will be in an underground match tonight.
We'll be keeping an eye on that as well.
That's actually a really good set up for them because of how they have struggled with traditional matches.
And Lola with her genuine MMA background and her underground match back in June against Baszler.
Baszler and in a plea that was probably one of the worst NXT pleas of all time.
Yeah, we're just going to see how this all goes.
We have the tag team championships on the line tonight, Axiom and Nathan Frazier taking on.
This could be, and I said to you when we talked about predictions before we started recording,
I just went ahead and went out on a limb and picked Maddie Renkowski, currently the Rensen Claire.
Yes.
But you've also got the other guys from No Quarter Catch Crew in the test.
So you might have a No Quarter Catch Crew sweep tonight.
I think it'll be the opposite, but that's just my opinion in this scope.
But you know, because we're starting to brand Fraxium for more of a marketing aspect, I think they're going to be.
I think they're going to be together until it's time for them to move in some way, shape or form now.
With them being smaller of size, but very fast and very entertaining.
I feel like their initial trials are going to be back on WWE's speed.
As much as we're not big fans of that, I understand it's purpose.
We are being told now that the men's Iron Survivor Challenge will lead the show.
Eddie Thorpe qualifying on NXT this week, but then taken out by an unknown assailant, which then makes it a mystery.
I wouldn't be shocked if it's still him.
Still Eddie Thorpe?
Yeah, because he wants to be in the match so bad he's not going to let anything stop him.
But my problem with that one is, is I feel like that leads to negative response.
If you're like, oh, he's taken out, but it's still him.
I feel like you have to have a big bad come in in some form to make this worthwhile.
And as much as I have been an Eddie Thorpe defender going back to his New Japan Strong days, I don't dig this.
I don't dig NXT Eddie Thorpe.
I mean, I just, I really, really appreciated it more, but it was more also the strong style when he was on New Japan.
Okay.
And with NXT, he just feels incomplete.
I guess it'd be the way I would put it.
Because I don't care about the character, but I feel like his in-ring work has gotten worse.
Like he's been too caught up on having to work on a character and book your tea with the scarf.
Oh, dear.
I mean, there are many outfits that's going to be cold.
Yeah.
What?
Wierst?
Slime ever behind Booker T.
What was that?
It was ego sucks, but there was a line drawn to something else.
And it's a child.
So it's not breaking the rules or anything.
And, oh, Kipps avian's got a new gig.
I like a micro room.
You think I'm in a room.
I do too, but that hair is straight up.
Okay, I think we're back.
I think we're back now.
Shining to zoom out so we don't, oh, I need to zoom in.
That's the problem.
Okay.
All right, here we go.
All right, we're back.
And Javan Evans is the first competitor in for the men's iron survivor.
And I feel like the quantifier in this is,
we always need somebody like a Javan Evans to just flies around for the big spot or whatever.
Like I have zero percent expectation that he even comes close to winning.
But with Wesley trying to become more grounded in this heal miss,
I feel like Evans is here for the big spot for the crowd.
I feel at a certain level, I feel bad for Wesley.
I think I just realized who the fifth man is.
Is it going to be true?
I go, that's exactly what I was just thinking.
I feel bad as a little Wesley because he's kind of lost in his own shuffle.
See, I feel like this is the most interesting he's been to me.
But please explain what you mean.
He ever since this whole heal turn and all this, his TV time has been next to zero.
I feel like they didn't keep the rascals together long enough.
Yeah, it didn't register.
I think they were leaning into the idea like, oh, you know, these guys from.
And it's like, that's a huge assumption that's wrong.
Yeah.
And it's another really trying to keep the rascals thing going in TNA,
which I mean, eh, you know.
So we now have.
Javon and West in the ring were waiting for the third man to show up.
Oh, no, they're going to rumble style.
Oh.
So it seems weird.
It is because doesn't that put the fifth man at this advantage?
Because the clock is already running.
We've always said that.
It doesn't exist.
Well, we've never done a deconstruction for a deadline.
But we have watched it.
Right.
So in that same scope, we know that we have that disadvantage.
But there's that counterpoint.
If you want to tell the story, give us the Pat Patterson is of it.
The ones that are in there early have an advantage to get pins early.
But by the time that fourth fifth person is coming in, they're exhausted.
So they're like prime picking.
Another interesting thing I just saw in the captioning.
We are currently in the transfer window, if you will, as we approach Netflix.
NXT is included in the transfer window, according to what I just read in the captioning.
Uh-huh.
So it's not just Ron Smackdown.
Which we've been asking for for a long time.
Although this is arguably the weakest NXT has been since we started asking.
Well, and if you look at the last couple of drafts, the NXT promotions have not really panned out.
No, they've been drafted, and then we never hear from Gikers six months.
This year, Keanu James.
Yep.
And then she got released.
Yeah.
You had Carmelo Hayes.
DiJack.
And DiJack.
Yeah.
I mean, technically you had Odyssey Jones, but we also have he's gone too.
Which is strange because if this is your developmental, that's where it's weird for me.
Yeah.
Oh, excuse me.
So are we doing every two minutes then?
That's literally what I was looking up just to make sure.
Javan Evans with his best Miami Vice No Teeth or Monster Guava, which is very good, by the way.
Very much enjoy its kind of work.
Oh, it's not expecting a Monster Guava comment.
Oh, it's because they're doing the Miami Vice No Teeth with that flavor.
I'll just say five minutes.
Five minute intervals or just five minutes for the first.
Every five minute intervals.
So if you're the fifth man, you aren't living for half an hour.
Well, no, it's five minutes.
Yeah, but you literally get the last five minutes against many pins as you can.
Right.
Which I believe was how they set up a trick Williams last year during the Irons.
He came and just got a bunch of them.
Where he came in and had to wrap it fire because he was so hot with the crowd that they were just like, this is great.
Diablo four, a sponsor.
Yeah.
I've never played a Diablo game.
No, I'm on.
I like the logo for deadline.
Reminds me of the alarm clock I had when I was a kid.
It does.
It looks, it looks like the old school, like when you would go on the school field trip to somewhere cool,
and you would have like all of the doors and panels that had the rotating numbers or letters that would teach you.
Or John Wick.
Or John Wick.
Or it's like Grand Central Station.
That's what I was trying to remember was like Grand Central Station.
Okay.
Our next show, if we are able to get to it, the 20th will be ROH Final Battle.
Are you caught up on your Ring of Honor news?
Are you referring to any Cardona Siding?
That is correct.
Who will be vying for the Ring of Honor title at Final Battle?
He is now the complete Matt Cardona.
Well, I think that that's one of those ones that I like Matt Cardona.
I will.
Yeah, Mr. Spock.
Fauci Fauci.
But in that same scope, I like Matt Cardona, but I feel like this is more of a let me sign him,
so he doesn't go back to the company.
It felt like a proactive move because of how well Cardona is liked by the current regime.
And especially with his closest friend on his home stretch of his career.
Well, and his lady friend too.
I wasn't even going to go to that level, but yeah.
Something about being able to spend time with your spouse.
Oh my god.
Yeah, this has been a little rough.
But this is to me, I was also why five minutes is way too long.
That's really a participant in the time.
I match like this because you're asking these guys to carry a wrong time.
May I rebut?
Please do.
I think that it actually works out well with another issue.
The reason that we have this kind of a five minute stretch with these younger guys is it's kind of that same aspect of like the NBA.
You don't need to watch the first three quarters because the only thing that matters is the fourth quarter.
Right.
So what we have here is five minutes for two young guys to maybe try some things that are new.
And right at the five minute mark, we get our first pin by Wesley Onchabon Evans and who heads to the penalty box.
I think this penalty boxing is weird.
Nathan Frazier is the third participants.
Wait a minute.
What do you know?
Wait a minute.
He's in the tag match later.
That's been the storyline.
I've totally spaced on that.
Yeah, him and Axiom were for the qualifiers and Axiom didn't make it even with the last chance.
In my defense, I am not totally coherent right now because medicine.
But that makes perfect sense.
And I do like the fact that we've gotten a better lower scoreboard than we have in years past that fits with deadline a bit better.
And he's the man who does a field of hail.
Yes, which is why I will always hate him on the level.
Very talented.
But they are a very adorable couple.
Very talented.
Did a lot of great work in NXT UK that I think, yep, really helped get him here.
Well, to be honest, he was really good in AEW during the pandemic.
Yeah.
They really wanted to sign him and whatever happened, he signed with NXT.
That was a very strange time for the guys that were coming out of UK.
Yeah, because even being able to travel was like a non-existent.
Interesting.
And in case you're watching this for the first time, because, again, multiple participants, no countouts, no disqualifications.
A lot of wire.
Oh, yeah.
We got a flag on the moon.
We can't make those cameras wireless.
Well, I think there's the aspect of Javons out.
That was a quick two minutes.
Yeah, it was.
But I think that also has to go with the fact that I would argue, and with all due respect to Braun Breaker,
I think Frazier might be the fastest professional wrestler on the planet right now.
Like, I'd put him in the speed that he works up against anybody.
Well, I think with Breaker, you're dealing, you're looking at him from more of a ground speed.
Yes, he flies back and forth.
Frazier has got the acrobatics, too.
And I think that separates him in that category.
Javons with a nice move.
They really want us to say bouncy so bad.
Yeah, they want that to be a thing so bad.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know why these two are having such difficulty with each other.
And to clarify for anybody with Javon and Wesley, you would think that they, because they had matches against each other.
They've had work together in tag matches and other multi-man matches.
So I wonder if they're so caught up in their own head of trying to do things they haven't done before,
which kudos to them wanting to do something unique, but at the same time,
you don't make a square wheel because everybody's doing around.
Agreed there.
Wesley falls to the outside.
Frazier takes over where Wesley was. Super Falcon era.
I like this arena.
The armory does look good.
It's very, it almost reminds me of the factory.
That's a very good point.
And I would have been saying for months now,
them going to the smaller venues, the appropriately sized venues,
fits the entire vibe of NXT better.
Absolutely.
Even the ECW arena worked well for them in my opinion, which I also believe
that could be where AEW's seeing things like this and now saying,
we're going to play smaller venues in 2025.
To me, it benefits you.
I think AEW's is more along the lines.
I think they're trying to just make the show look better.
Are you struggling to do that?
Yeah.
But again, when you're not selling out 15,000 cedar renaz, make the call.
To me, it's almost a building thing.
Play these smaller renaz, but generate more buzz.
Because I appreciate the fact that Tony Khan wanted to just jump into the deep end of the pool.
But if you're going to have longevity, you build.
Okay.
Praise your cock that rope a little early.
Really hard.
But the guys were there.
Unfortunately, his momentum was fast enough to carry him past that.
We've seen a lot of ones where there has been a tope,
where somebody's knee pad gets caught and suddenly it's just a nose die.
Looks like we're about 30 seconds or less now.
I'm down to 20 seconds for the next participant in this match.
Still only have one fall for Wesley.
Yeah, it's going to have to be Ethan Page because you're going to save the fifth member.
Yeah.
You kind of have to.
Well, it's, that's what we believe.
But you have a look on your notes.
What is its Xbox?
No.
No, no, no, no.
I'm just, I know.
Here we go.
And here comes Ethan Page.
Ego.
I love his entrance music.
I just like him in general.
Same, same.
I mean, he's always been very kind, very nice in as his self.
But he's so good at all things you want from a professional wrestler.
No, he's not going to be the biggest.
He's not going to be the strongest.
But he's good on the mic and he can wrestle with anybody.
And he's karate man.
Yes.
Oh, what is that fifth man with curry man?
Oh, Jesus.
Be the greatest paper you bought time.
Right into the box.
Nathan Frazier has pinned Ethan Page.
Yep.
I'm going to roll up.
But you know what?
I like, I like that Ethan Page is involved in things like this.
Yes.
Because it, number one, it shows his willingness.
But number two, it just legitimizes the concept.
Yeah.
And it makes his heel to that much better.
So I have a sneaky suspicion.
We're about to get a quick pin on Frazier or something else.
And we're going to get our first brawl.
And on the box fight.
Yeah.
Oh, no, no.
Javon Evans after Page gets kicked by Nathan Frazier.
Javon Evans.
Wait, wait, wait.
Oh.
Oh.
Because Xbox did, it was said some nice things to him on MXT.
But it does fuel me a little bit there.
See, I feel like in that same vein, who would be an Xbox parallel?
Like, who would Xbox send as a mercenary?
Well, he already said that Javon Evans reminded him of him.
Well, but here's a logistical question.
That falls under the old rule, though.
Either you have a good match with strong Walton or you can't have a good match.
Logistical question.
Okay.
Since this is a multi-man match, uh-huh.
As, like, let's just, we just saw where Javon was trying to pin Wesley.
Yeah.
If you're Nathan Frazier, do you want to break up the pin so Evans doesn't get the point?
Or do you want the pin to go through, which then would put the third guy in the box
and give you a better chance to get a pin because there's nobody else involved?
I think you just touched on a reason that this gets interesting in that same scope.
Because you can make the argument in either direction five seconds until Ethan Page is out of the box.
Uh-uh.
But I think in that same scope, obviously we know predetermined and everything that goes along with it.
Right.
I think part of that is the scope of-
There's your payback.
Yeah.
If you are a face, you want to break up the pin because you want to have that tough fight and you know that you should.
Whereas if it's a heal, maybe you look at it as I only want to break up the pin so that I can throw this other person out.
So now everybody but Javon Evans has a one.
Maybe it's only 90 seconds.
And not two minutes.
Because we're already down to a minute 10.
That is really quick.
And pro pro pro move by Ethan Page right there.
Javon Evans paused while he was going to jump on there.
So Ethan made a call.
Nice.
Javon stepping out of the way.
So Ethan takes the kick from West Lee.
Springboard in Zagoree.
Oh, that's ought to be interesting.
Okay, so now now I'm thinking about it.
Your last participant, we were counting too many, too many participants.
Because your last participant comes in at the 15 minute mark.
Can you start with two guys only three?
Yeah.
But the total time is 25 minutes for our county public school.
Shout out.
Oh, let's see here.
The Topay, Doomsday, Flipping, Javon Evans.
I don't mind that.
Yeah, I don't mind that.
Well, you also have it where it's the two heals helping each God.
See, I like that because they were fighting each other and did make it look like
hey, we're waiting for the guy.
Right.
And Javon Evans, like, I'm not saying the word, but boy, can he leap?
Big frog splash.
I mean, you see what Sean sees in a guy like him.
He's actually lead in Michael.
Yeah.
Very fast pace.
Ooh, somebody's bleeding.
Frazier's nose.
Okay.
Yeah, I didn't see when it happened.
But his nose was busted open when page pendant.
No free abs.
What?
You said busted open.
Wow.
Let's see.
Okay, so Frazier back in the ring.
It's a kick fast.
It's a kick party.
It's not super.
Yeah.
That was kind of a nice four-way kick.
Almost a square dance, if you will.
All right.
Fifth man in five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
Four.
Fifteen minutes mark now.
We will see who the participant is.
Wait a minute.
Uh-oh.
Did I just call it?
I think you did.
I believe I called that.
Cuz I see a lot of green lights.
Well, there's also some red in there.
It might be Santa.
Uh-oh.
Mitt Foley?
Okay.
So that's the X.
Oh my god.
No, it's Oba Femi.
Oba Femi is your fifth participant.
I believe he immediately becomes your favorite, too.
Yeah, because you know, it's the big man
and Trick Williams is the winner last year
being the last one in.
Yeah, well, it's also the fact that Oba Femi is so good.
He is the ruler.
I am wildly impressed with everything he has done.
As much as we also bag on people making botches
or different things like that,
Oba Femi has been a consistent home run
every time he's in a match.
I'm kind of, yeah, that's one I did not see coming.
No, but I love it.
I also love that he's given other people some shine here
rather than just being the overwhelming monster.
Oh!
Oh, very nice uppercut.
Austin, you only approved.
And now, Javon Evans goes back into the penalty box
as Evans is the only one left without a pin.
Man, actually, you want to blow the wheels off
with what you were talking about before?
Diggy takes in Oba Femi as a...
What's the word I'm looking for?
A mentee.
A protégé?
As it's what?
A protégé.
Yes, okay.
Fair enough.
Oh, this is an interesting little square off, too,
because you kind of have the reverse where Oba
S North American champion was always eelish
and Wesley was the face in that set-up.
So, God!
The winner of this would they get the shot at New Year's Evil?
I don't know that there is a set timing on it,
but I know they get the title shot.
So, it very well might be New Year's Evil.
It may also be a call your shot kind of thing,
because necessarily a catch-in.
Well, to me, that's more what...
The break-out is more than it is.
But that's why what I'm saying is,
is more of the calling the shot of maybe New Year's Evil,
maybe we do the long build to,
oh, Ethan Page, great eel move,
pulling the referee in the middle of the count-out.
But that also kind of answers part of your thing.
Oba Femi would take the lead over Ethan Page,
so pull the wrap-out.
So, in that same scope,
it's just maybe they do it all the way to stand
and deliver the way they do with the rumble,
even though there's other shows in between.
But it could be New Year's Evil.
Because we don't have another main roster plea now
until the rumble.
Until February.
Yeah.
Which is a very...
Well, depending on...
We have had that talk about Saturday Night's main event,
how you consider that.
No, we lost faith.
They are looking to do that quarterly,
and it was officially announced your next one
will actually be the last Saturday, in January,
the weekend before the rumble in San Antonio.
Oh, interesting.
Because Raw will be in this town that Monday night.
Yep.
On the Von Evans with a swan-ton off the top of the box.
Okay.
Chevon Evans, can we get his first pin?
Big flying cutter.
Uno, dos, and...
And we're all tied up.
Everybody had...
Is it this kind of the way it went last year, too?
No, I think we had a frontrunner.
I think we had...
Hell, it may have been Ethan Page at that point, too.
I think we had a frontrunner that was out ahead,
but it was only by one or two.
Okay.
So I think it would...
If I remember...
It was either Ethan Page or somebody of its...
We'll call it a smart heel,
because they wound up getting ahead
and then just playing defense,
and just breaking up pins ducking out,
which smart booking...
Respect to Oba Femi wearing the New York meds boots.
No, yeah.
Femi and Evans going to nose.
You know what I like about this, though?
It tells you how tall Jovon Evans actually is,
and you don't realize it because of how thin he is.
But Oba Femi is just a refrigerator
that moves and hurts people.
And moves well.
Yeah.
I still hate the whole ruler thing,
but that's because I learned that Oba means that.
Yeah.
So it's like an ATM machine, or a pin number.
It's redundant.
Well, I think you could put a quotations around it,
so that it could function and...
I rule into languages.
Yeah, or as...
It could function as the translation of...
Yes.
I mean, this match has been entertaining so far.
We're less than five minutes to go in the match,
and we forgot to check what the time was on Lee's
penalty box time, which only has...
It was 90 seconds.
Okay, perfect.
I actually looked up right away,
and I was already on a minute 24 or something.
What's going on with my watch today?
I do not know.
Okay.
Oba Femi just tossing grown men around like rag dolls.
So if he pins both of them, is that two points?
I think so.
Because I was going to say I bet he does that spot where he pins multiple guys.
Well, I could see him.
What I would think in that one is,
let him hit the Death Valley driver on Evans,
and Dave and Frazier let one of the eels push them out,
steal the two points.
Not just from a...
Because I don't know if you're a firm believer on this,
but we know the money is in the chase for faces, always.
So making it an underdog story makes more sense.
That's why Trick Williams worked so well.
That's, oh, okay.
Oba Femi just said,
I'm going to hit you so hard your ancestors died.
Well, he took a very snug superkick from Frazier.
Oh, even Paige.
And even Paige now in the lead with two points,
would you add an extra wrinkle to this that if you take the pin,
you lose a point?
No.
Because you're already being punished by the box.
And at this point, if you're Oba Femi, don't waste a lot of time.
Yeah.
Because you're already out for 90 seconds,
and it doesn't start until you're in the lead.
Right.
And so now we are less than three,
or we're at four and a half minutes, three and a half minutes
from the match being over.
Oh, here we go.
Either Paige getting super kicked onto another competitor.
One, two...
And...
Oh, what happens?
Now, it ties...
Paige with two pins.
Yep, and now we're going to have our box bite.
Either Paige, like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
But here's the thing.
This is really smart.
I get it.
Hold off until Oba Femi's out.
But now he puts himself in a disadvantage
because the clock is still ticking.
Yeah.
It just were earlier in the match.
Oh, they started his clock before he's in the box.
Well, maybe that's where the ref was like,
look, you can't do that.
I'm starting the clock now.
Yeah.
Oh, this will go well.
Look at Oba.
Come on in.
Come on in.
I want to see Oba throw him out through the roof.
Or through the plexiglass.
No, too many people too close.
You do have the places where I can stand on the corners.
It's like a very, very small war games platform.
The Paige trying to climb out through the wall.
The Paige is so good.
She'll unheal crime.
Honestly, one of your more popular people on the planet right now,
Darby Ellen.
I don't know that Darby Ellen's even known if it's not for e-conpage.
Also fair.
Because...
Out of my way.
Oba Femi just bouncing e-conpage off of the walls.
The door opens and e-conpage just falls over.
You're really...
Nice, nice thought thrust us by Wesley.
Keep Oba out of the ring.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's about to get chucked.
And he goes to the floor for his trouble.
Yeah.
But announce table still intact.
Or I like the little logo on the door of the cage, too.
Yeah, that's kind of...
I would have liked it to spread more across the door,
because it looks just like a poster they stuck on the front.
Because it looks good, but it looks almost...
Why do they awkwardly shaped?
Because Paige is talking right now.
But he's still laying down.
Yeah, he actually knows what I'd want to see.
I'd want to see an LED down there with the clock.
Or even better, you do the clock on the front,
so you have it for the camera,
but for the entire audience,
so what you have in the armory,
you have stanchions on all four corners with lights,
the lights tick down.
We are in the 25th minute.
Yes, we are getting close.
We never had a tie, have we?
I believe we have.
Actually, I think the first one was a tie.
But how did you break the tie?
I think they went into overtime.
It was the next week,
because the first Iron Survivor was on NXT TV,
and I believe the tie in the first one was Adam Cole,
and Gargano, or something of its ilk,
and they had another match.
I hate that you haven't watched the match down yet.
I already know it was gone.
Ah, I can't come in.
Down to 20 seconds left in the match.
Oh, God.
Femme is getting in on both.
One, two, three.
Now Femme has the lead with 10 seconds to go.
Nobody can catch him.
So that is...
Oh, Javon Evans trying to tie it.
Uh, nope.
He's gonna run out of time.
He's gonna run out of time.
And at the 25 minute mark,
Oba Femme has won the Iron Survivor Challenge,
and now becomes your number one contender
for the NXT title.
Javon Evans looks stunned.
Wesley loses again.
Nathan Frazier needs a Kleenex.
Ethan Page is finally starting to stir...
He's starting to contest.
...in the penalty box.
You know what?
I'm okay with this.
Hey.
If you tell me that these are the five guys,
Oba Femme, 1,000% is my pick.
That I would want to win,
should win,
and should be the next champion.
Is that why we kept it a secret?
Maybe.
Because it makes...
It's too much of an obvious pick.
Well, but yeah,
he wins this thing.
But a good match.
What?
A solid match.
What I'm going to be more curious about.
Oba traditionally has worked more heal-ish.
He didn't really do heal-ish things here.
He was just the monster that we enjoy watching.
So I almost wonder if there's going to be some kind of a...
wrinkle for him,
either going as a bigger deal after this,
or if this is going to be a face turn to the chase of the title,
which would also either have trick-williams going heal,
which I don't see happening.
No.
Or trick-williams losing that belt,
which I didn't see happening before this.
Because we have seen Rich Holland and Oba Femme have a great match,
with just two monsters just crushing each other.
Definitely a Hoss fight.
Honestly,
it's been a long time since we've had a really good Hoss fight.
I feel like that was the last one.
Probably was.
The big meaty men slapping me.
He goes sucks.
So now we'll see,
does he get involved later tonight in the title match?
I don't know if he gets involved as much as I wouldn't be surprised
if he is present.
As a reminder on the 6th of January,
Raw does move to Netflix.
We're still...
Now we do know that they have said it will remain PG.
I did see that.
That surprised me.
But I am still curious as to...
Am I going to have to watch this thing all the way through
because I have a commercial free plan?
Yeah.
Or will we be doing the...
I just don't know how commercial breaks are going to work.
I feel like...
And obviously I have no baseline on this.
I'm purely guessing.
I kind of think we're going to wind up
as people who have a commercial free plan with Netflix.
I feel like we're going to get a whole lot of WWE shop.
So we're just not going to get commercial.
Yeah.
And will I be able to start it on delay?
That is another great question.
Now these would be all the things that we're going to experiment with
in January.
And of course we will talk about those on the normal show.
Yes.
Because we're definitely going to spend some time on
the logistics of this.
Because this is something that really has never been done before.
Mm-hmm.
You know, I like...
When I'm watching the NFL on Amazon Prime,
I'm still getting commercials.
Yeah.
So...
You know, of course next Saturday night is Saturday night's main event,
which I'm still upset it's not in the Saturday night.
I have time slot, but I get it.
Oh, I was laughing.
Did you see the one where they were like,
the only thing left that we truly need is Al Bundy introducing it.
To the cheese.
So this is from the Becoming Cody Rhodes documentary,
which God, that was two years ago, wasn't it?
Don't.
Yeah, look at last year.
Well, I'm thinking of it as two WrestleMania's being two years.
It was last year.
It's 2023.
Yeah.
So we're close to it being two years,
but we're not quite there.
It was a great documentary.
Yeah, it was.
I still got to...
I need to watch the Bray Wyatt one.
Yeah, same.
But anyways, one of the other interesting things is
that they are doing it from the Intuit Dome in LA.
Did you see the other thing with TKO in the Intuit Dome?
I did not.
So they're going to be doing a lot of test running,
apparently, with the RAW on Netflix,
because the next UFC pay-per-view,
less than two weeks after that.
I want to say it's on the 16th.
Something like that.
Is there next UFC pay-per-view in the Intuit Dome?
So they're planning on leaving stuff there.
Believe that would be the 18th if it's that Saturday.
Like I said, I honestly do not remember.
Because that would be two days before RAW is here,
and that's on the 20th.
Right.
Man, just seeing the torn pack is insane.
I know.
Would he took off that jacket just all of us in the room?
Remember us trying to be like,
oh, that's definitely makeup.
That's tough.
And then it's like, it's not rubbing off.
It's not moving.
Oh, my God.
I hate you, Solo.
Shh.
I'm still shocked that they did the one more year thing
with Cody from the WrestleMania.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
We have our new producer trying to change his...
Come here, baby.
And she says, I see things bouncing on the screen.
Do we have to play this long of a problem?
Oh, I bet we're doing underground.
They gotta take the ropes down.
Yep.
That's another thing I'm surprised.
Start with that.
Yeah.
So then we have to take it down and put it back up.
You want my honest opinion?
Based on my...
Continuing the thought of...
Based on my opinion of the two competitors involved.
I should have been on the pre-show.
I don't even do matches on the pre-show.
I know.
Nobody does.
None of them, none of the WWE please do.
Which is insane.
Because if you do it on the pre-show,
you don't have to worry about getting the ring set up
until actor.
And well, like...
When they're doing two hour pre-shows
and you're not even gonna put a match on there?
Or something worth watching,
because you keep putting Sam Roberts and Pete Rosenberg on there,
which immediately means,
oh, this is why the mute button was invented.
Don't do that.
Don't.
And apparently...
There was an event recently
where something was recorded
with Cody and Roman.
But they're not sure if it's something that will be used or not.
I have not seen this.
They were both at an event recently.
Okay, you gonna come sit with me, Kai?
Okay, there you go.
Yeah, because the interesting thing you had with that was...
The Georgia Georgia Tech game,
where you look at it,
Joe Onoaii,
I.E. Roman Reigns,
is in their Hall of Fame as a player.
That might have been where it was.
And Cody Rhodes,
and Cody Runnels,
is arguably one of,
if not the biggest Georgia Bulldog fan,
this side of anybody else.
That may have been where it was.
We have Wex's King now.
I still keep wanting to call him Pete.
He's a racial hair.
You know what I do love about this though?
Do you notice anything about the wardrobe?
It's where the Bengal Tiger?
Yeah.
Where is that?
Yeah.
Give that man his name back.
So he keeps saying with Brom Breaker,
give that man his name back.
Well, the King is a point.
But...
But Pellman has said that he doesn't want to use that name.
That was the other part about it.
But I will respect Brian Hillman Jr. for choosing.
And he's in a lot that are placed
in his former tag team partner.
That's not saying much.
Gryff Garrison was always a spare.
Now tagging with Preston Vance,
on a room of honor.
That's sad because Preston's a friend.
Preston's the kind of guy.
He needs to be in a group like he was with a dark order.
Yeah. To give him a mouthpiece
and just let him be big and posing.
Well, I've read an interview with him this week
that Brody Lee is the one that lobbied for him
to be in the dark order.
Yes, that's 100% true.
That's why Amanda also refers to him
as her oldest child.
Oh, really?
Because he is negative one's big brother,
even if he's not in the dark order anymore.
But as we've said multiple times,
we're going to get our obligatory.
We need the dark order to be a better thing right now.
Yeah. It's unfortunate.
Although the bit they did on Ring of Honor was kind of funny.
Did you read about this? No, I did not.
So the opening was G-Y-V being G-Y-V
and beating up on a bunch of extras
for eating food before then
because they're the veterans and they go first.
Mm-hmm.
Cut to later,
it's, um,
not Johnny Hungie,
but the other one.
Reynolds. Reynolds and Evil Uno are talking.
And they're wondering where,
and Reynolds comes in. He's like,
yeah, I saw G-Y-V being mean to some guys.
So I went into the locker room and stole all the clothes.
Nice.
There it is. It is now time for NXT Underground.
Good call.
And if you're listening to this,
this is probably your p-break.
But I always like the way this.
I'm just glad that stop being a bit with Shane McMahon.
Yeah.
It's who are these people?
Spares.
These are our lumberjack-ish people.
I'm just looking to see how many of them are WWE,
I-E-D,
and I don't recognize any of them.
Let's be honest, it's probably a bunch of local Minnesota talent.
You know what? And good, good on them to get on a plea.
Yeah.
I really don't like this
scanner-darkly thing ever since a debut
as an app on the iPhone.
What? It's animation style that they're using.
Oh, you're talking about the AI animation.
Yeah, where it looks like a standard darkly.
God, I forgot that movie existed for a while.
It was mentioned on something I was watching.
Oh, you know, I was-
I was watching going through YouTube yesterday.
And what culture?
No free ads.
Did a bit on 10 sequels?
We're not sure why are happening.
Uh-huh.
One of them,
the number 10,
was so far out of left field.
Apparently we're getting blue streak too.
I thought we already had blue streak too.
Mm-hmm.
The Martin Lawrence one, right?
Yeah. I genuinely thought we had already had a sequel to that.
Apparently it's happening.
Maybe I'm remembering it as
blue streak and then the one that had steves on.
Whatever that one was.
No, because it was Luke Wilson with him in blue streak.
But what I'm saying is, I think the sequel that I think is-
Well, he had national security with that Robin.
Yeah.
So...
Here's my head.
I appreciate the vignette.
Telling the story, but we could have been doing this the whole time.
But also, don't play the same one you play on the pre-show.
We've had that conversation multiple times on these shows
where they're like,
okay, we've checked the box, we did one vignette,
we're just going to run that into the ground,
and maybe we'll do snippets of it later on.
And it's like, just stop.
Because this is an interesting.
This is...
And that just such a bad rustling logic.
And are we going to do anything with OTM now?
I thought they got released.
I don't think they did.
I wouldn't be surprised.
They're gone.
Well, they're gone from TV.
Because I don't know if they were part of that battle royal or not on Tuesday night.
I don't remember seeing them.
And they're big guys.
And also, the whole hip attack from Jada Parker is so dumb.
Was that Naomi's bit for a while?
Well, she did the rear view where she did more of a jumping split style.
Also, you have been the one for wrestling logic
where you're like, the gimmick match ends the angle.
Don't you feel like an underground match is a step down from...
Yeah.
Well, reading the captioning, the wording was the first ever women's hardcore match.
But the captioning said the first ever women's parkour match.
Those are two completely different.
And now, the other clarification was that it was the first women's hardcore match on NXT
at the ECW arena.
Oh, okay. But they said on NXT in the captioning.
Yeah. Well, they eagred it.
Because if you go back, you're like, oh wait,
we've seen multiple mode EQ matches with women already.
Oh, right.
Every Halloween have a Catalan, basically.
So, you're either working on semantics of what matters
or we're eukering it and being like, it's the first women's hardcore match
in NXT on television in the ECW arena.
And it's like, okay, we threaded that funnel.
I did like the bit with Jada Parker throwing the brick.
And then hitting her back elbow.
Yeah, that worked.
With the pseudo-judice effect.
But the problem was, is that brick looked so bad.
I thought it was a clone.
Looks like, now by the time you guys are listening to this,
she'll already know what happens.
But it looks like we have over time in Atlanta.
Oh, wow.
Clarification.
That would be Texas and Georgia and the SEC.
Yes.
Low the vice comes out first in her deep.
That may have gotten some makeup on the back of it.
That probably did.
I mean, both of these women get spray-tanned to hell.
Yeah.
I do appreciate the logistics of not putting people
on the front side of the ring, so it blocks the camera shot,
so you can see everything.
Well, you also have that really expensive video board
on the front of the ring that you're not covering up.
Yeah.
And I cannot remember this rep's name,
but he's really hitting the gun show today.
But it's funny, it's patiently.
If you look at it, though, all of the underground video
where somebody is working on the ring, it's him.
So it's the referee that's working on the turdbuckles.
Oh, here's OTM.
Okay.
We do have OTM, who will probably get sent from the back,
or sent to the back from the stage.
You know, speaking of things of that nature,
because you are unable to be on the show this week,
and so there's things I've been kind of saving.
Why does Okada have to be in the continental classic as champion?
So the way it's set up is a round robin tournament,
similar to the G1.
Right.
So the way that they tell their booking,
whoever wins, now I want you to,
I'm going to make this a little bit more difficult,
so allow me to establish,
the G1 is the continental classic.
Right.
It's the exact same thing.
So when I say G1, I'm referring to both.
Right.
The way that they tell that story is,
whoever wins that tournament gets the shot at their mania,
which was Wrestle Kingdom, and now Wrestle Dynasty.
What they have done otherwise,
is anybody that beats the champion during that tournament,
will get a shot at a later date.
Okay.
So that's why you have the champion in it,
because the way it goes is if the champion wins the tournament,
they can call their shot on facing anybody they want.
Whoever wins it, if they're not the champion,
they're the ones that get the shot.
Now, that has actually happened,
I want to say twice with Okada in the G1,
where he called his shot and faced like Naito,
or Tonohashi, or, you know,
a big name because big money match for the Rainmaker.
Both from Florida.
Yes.
I know that Jada Parker was built from Port St. Lucie.
Yep.
Port St. Lausie, check it in.
That's your town, not mine.
It ain't my town anymore.
I got out.
And I have no more ties to it at all.
Here we go.
Oh!
Knee from Lola to start right out.
And I want to say Lola's Bureau, right?
They build her from Miami.
Well, that's the 305 aspect.
Yeah.
I want to say she's actually from Bureau,
but I could be wrong there as well.
Let's be honest, she's probably from like Hylia.
There's something like that,
but Miami's what people know.
That's some local, not local talk for those at home.
Oh, Jada Parker's butt takes out four men.
Nice.
Lola vice for the Invalority Loretta.
Loretta.
She was born in Miami.
Okay.
Oh, if that looks like that hurt for Parker though.
Well, she was a part of American talk team.
Yep.
Well, any fighter that goes through Florida
pretty much is on ATT.
Because ATT is everywhere,
whether it be Deerfield, Port St. Lausie, Miami.
Like, their gyms are all over Florida.
She's the daughter of a Taekwondo master.
Marcella, by the way.
She herself is a fourth degree.
Black, that's this Dan, which is like a sense.
Black belt in Taekwondo was part of the US Olympic Taekwondo team
before coming in MMA fighter.
Nice.
I wonder if she fought with my buddy Pete.
He was a Taekwondo champion in Florida as well.
What you would remember is his uncle
had the gyms for Casey Jones Taekwondo.
Pete is on our nephew.
She was part of the three day tryout during WrestleMania 38 weekend.
Yep.
And I believe if I am not mistaken,
it was Nikita Lyons who got her to try out.
Oh.
Because they go back with their fighting background.
Okay.
Yeah.
So bad.
Jada Parker, real name Tiana Lillian Marie Kaffee.
Like C-A-F-F-E-Y.
Yeah, that is correct.
She's about three months younger.
Damn.
Then Lola.
Okay.
Oh, we got the Judas effect.
And she was.
Oh no, I just realized what they're going to do.
That's the Jada effect.
Oh.
Okay.
That would be the easy way to do it.
She was born in Port St. Lucie.
Her cousin.
Wait a minute.
No.
She can't have been born in Port St. Lucie.
There's no hospital in Port St. Lucie.
Just do what it says.
Oh.
Because I would have been born in Port St. Lucie if there was a hospital.
And that's why I was born in Stewart.
Former NBA player and two-time champion Chicago Bull Jason Kaffee.
Oh.
Is her cousin.
Okay.
She has five-seven.
Yeah.
Well, she was on the soccer team.
They've told us at 18 billion times.
I was called up to play for the USA under 17.
They're doing a terrible job shooting this right now.
Yeah.
Because Lola Vice has a good grapevine ankle lock.
And all of our shots are from the wrong side.
Every single shot we're getting is the wrong angle.
It's so dumb.
Oh.
Here we go.
Here's why we have people partly.
Parker was ranked number 90 in the top 250 female runner.
Oh.
Here we go.
Here's why we have people partly.
Parker was ranked number 90 in the top 250 female runners in the PLPMI pole last year.
PWI?
Yes.
Okay.
That too.
Well, and that's the thing with Jada Parker and Lola Vice that I've said consistently.
I don't think they're good wrestlers.
They are gorgeous women who can literally kick my butt any time.
Not because I want it, but because I wouldn't have a choice.
Ow.
That looks like that actually hurt.
So we had a spinning back fist attempt for Lola Vice.
Jada Parker ducks and she smashes her forearm into the post.
Ooh.
That was a really good looking spot.
Here you go.
Ooh, and hit her.
Her forearm bone on the post.
Yeah.
But with the way her hand whipped back, it looked real nasty.
I hope she's actually okay.
I haven't seen the ref check, but I'm sure he has, because every ref in WWE is the best of the best when they're except for Frank Casbah.
Our boy.
Absolutely.
Now, I have not had a chance to listen just yet, but did you happen to see the complaint lawsuit that was filed this past week against the EW?
Yes.
I didn't read about that.
We did not talk about it on the show.
Okay.
But we did talk about it.
I am very curious how that's going to go since that's who I was possibly having dinner with here in a few weeks.
Okay, why are we putting on her glove?
Are we telling this like the gloves are loaded now?
Because Jada Parker has stripped Lola Bice and put the padded glove on her own hand, which doesn't that just feel backwards?
Unless it's a coal miner's match.
Gosh, there's a flashback in a half.
The coal miner's glove.
But it's like, why?
Why would you make your punches softer?
And then that's how you tell the story.
Now, reverse of how the match started.
Yep.
We have not in full mount, but Jada Parker in the top position for Lola Bice, now slamming her hand on the mat.
But I do like that they're telling the story about this.
Oh, she hit it on there.
So, I am going to make a state.
I have said, multiple times, I don't think they're good wrestlers.
They are doing better in this match than I've ever seen either of them do to the point of it being a fun match.
Because we know if there is anything, I will get things wrong, but I will own it when I do, indeed, unlike some other people on the show.
Well, one person.
Okay, so we have the pink and black belt being pulled into the ring post.
This is getting a little awkward.
I mean, it's working, but it's awkward.
I guess we can't have a Batista or John Cena Batista win to this, can we?
Because it's not a last person standing.
Oh, that looks bad.
That's interesting.
Now, granted, she has her arm in the right position to protect her.
But getting that, what is essentially a Camura, by belt around the post is a really cool spot.
Now, part of that is it would have to be unload a bite because she's the one that knows how to apply a Camura from her MMA days.
This has been really good.
I'm surprised how much I've enjoyed this match.
Well, we still have the wrist trapped inside the belt, but we're in the DVD position.
Close line with the belt.
The other close line with the belt.
That was the best of the three.
And, okay.
Double knockout.
Let's go.
We're going to rocky for this.
All right, back up into the Death Valley driver.
Into the sloppiest somehow and drop I've seen in a while.
Yeah, but wouldn't you say that a match like this tends to take more out of its participant.
So being gas is going to happen a lot quicker.
Oh, what I'm driving at is absolutely.
And they've been going for a while.
So even if it's not just this match, they've been wrestling for a while.
For me, it was the fact that she did not clarifying.
Parker did not have Lola vice in the correct position.
For that, we're getting a little bit of thunder.
I don't think it was thunder.
So like somebody ran into something.
No, no, I watched it outside.
There was a lightning strike with the thunder to follow.
Okay.
So apologies in advance if the weather decides to abbreviate this, but we will be getting it done.
That sounds like a fire fireworks, maybe.
No, that sounds like that could be it too.
Because I thought I saw red lights over there earlier.
Yeah, she's trying to pin her.
This is great.
Yeah, that's not the way this works.
Yeah.
We've only come through it.
But I think the story you tell there is like she's not well versed in underground matches.
Yeah, of these two.
Yeah.
But I always find that dumb because it's like we're ramping up to this the whole time.
If you want to tell that like we're jumping into a type of matchup and that's what's happening, I can roll with you.
But the fact that we've had this whole build, how long we've had the video package, I would be shocked.
If you were talking about it from a realism standpoint, then they would forget that they can't win by pin.
Okay, we are in a rear naked show.
If this is accepted well, do you see an underground title coming?
I honestly thought we were going to have an underground title before.
But I think the other problem we have is that it's so awkward of a match.
Yeah, it's definitely fireworks.
I don't know what's going on right now, but it's definitely fireworks outside.
I know.
Well, I know my city is having their parade.
Maybe it's some kind of a celebration that Rockwell's doing?
Perhaps.
I have not seen anything.
Okay, Jato Parker brought in the brick, took a kick and is back in the rear naked show.
So I think I think we're about to lock it in.
Locked it in.
She can't reach it.
Shouldn't the rev just push the brick out of the ring?
Well, there's technically no rules against said brick.
Well, I then a piece of red tape.
I just kicked it further away.
Okay.
This is not mere suplex.
Excuse me.
Well, a nice German release Germans.
Yeah, it likes by Jato.
Well, we covered up a little earlier than she should have.
Yeah, but it makes sense in that same scope.
Those are awfully close.
Got her own spin punch.
I think I might be the golf course.
Maybe.
Oh, those are real fireworks.
Yep.
That's why I was, oh, anaconda.
Choker out.
Let's go.
Okay, Jato Parker, unconscious little mice continue to win.
We have breaking news from serious XM.
We now have a yacht soul Christmas channel.
What?
There's a lot going on there.
I am going to be checking it out.
I will not be.
Because I no longer have serious.
Yeah.
She has a tendency to get cuddly.
Because she is.
Because Kai Kai is a snuggle by it.
Yeah.
That really was.
I want to say that was the best match I've seen from both competitors.
Yeah.
And it's not particularly close.
And the bridge was never actually used, right?
No.
No.
It was present.
And can we stop calling those bricks?
I mean, it's literally red styrofoam.
Right.
But brick in quotation.
Yeah.
Because you still have to sell the bit.
Yeah.
But use something good.
I mean, you're already going to Michaels just by stone spray paint and spray the brick.
Yeah.
Good.
I like when they get good camera shots like this with the dejected Parker sitting outside the rain while Lola vice celebrates.
Ah.
A stretchy kitty.
No.
I feel bad for the dogs.
They don't do well with fireworks.
I don't like them either.
Yeah.
All right.
So you were two for two.
Well, you were correct on what you said was going to be coming up.
What do you see coming next?
I think you've got your world title now because it gives Frazier time to rest before the tag titles.
Interesting.
And then close with women's Iron Survivor.
See, I was thinking it was going to be tag titles Iron Survivor and then the title match.
But I like it.
I could roll with the women's being at the end.
I mean, respectfully.
I don't like it.
They get stars right now.
Like they did with survivors.
Yeah.
We have March 1st.
Will be the date for a limousination chamber.
I don't like this bit where they're saying it's John Cena's last time in Toronto.
No, it's not.
Maybe it's his last time as a competitor into.
Yeah.
But I mean, because it's one of those, it feels dishonest.
It also starts time of 6 o'clock in the central.
Nice.
So.
But I find that also interesting because we have the rumble on February 1st.
The limousination chamber on March 1st.
It's almost like, why are we ruining it?
Mania should be on April 1st.
Just keep it consistent.
No, that would be a Tuesday.
I know, but I'm.
During the zero chance of an appearance by Tristrat.
Oh, absolutely.
But I'm still mad that I, as many times as I said,
I wonder if they're selling those sweets that are in the Marriott Rodgers Center.
They were.
And I did look soon enough.
That's on me.
By the way.
Looks like we're doing the title match now.
It does look like that.
As we have evenly, evil dressed Andre Chase.
Are we just glad he's not a poker player anymore?
I don't know.
I think he enjoyed that.
But do we.
What do we do with Chase you from here?
Well, if you up, Georgia wins.
22 19 in overtime.
There you go.
Oh.
If you remember on NXT this week, Mr. Chase was walking down the hallway
and somebody said something to him and he turned around and we cut to black.
So something's going to happen.
I missed that one.
Yep.
He packed up Chase you and closed the door and walked down the hallway.
And so he said Mr. Chase and he turned around and I don't look on his face
of being startled and cut to black.
Okay.
Yeah, see when he started packing up Chase you,
I kind of just moved on from there.
Now it's the rapid fire.
Something that says probably the end of the fireworks.
We can help him.
I doubt it.
When you have neighbors who enjoy the white trash carnival,
we might start seeing mortars landing in the yard because that's happened.
Oh, yeah.
I don't like the fireworks but I don't think you should be banned from using them.
Except for the fact that they're illegal in Rockwall.
So that's its own thing.
I guess they're feeling cocky with the rain.
Maybe.
Or like a feather.
Maybe it's something that the city's doing.
I'm still.
That was one of those things though.
Like we're doing the number one contender match where Andre Chase lost original.
But why was trick Williams in a Jeff Gordon jacket?
Maybe just he was cold.
That was all that was available to him.
All right.
So here's what I was talking about.
Because trick Williams doesn't wear clothes.
He doesn't wear shirts.
Here's what I was talking about.
He's packing up.
Chase you.
Got the towel.
Oh, he's such a good girl.
And I just, man, when this thing debuted, I was like, there's no way this bit has legs.
You and I thought it was done in a week.
I could not be more role.
Oh, kind of glad we were role.
What was that three years ago?
I thought it was four.
Because last year was the calendar.
Yes.
The women of Chase you calendar.
So it's and it was the debut of NXT 2.0.
It was witness happened.
That's a while back.
Hey, Andre Chase walks out the door.
And we are getting Chase you chance from the armory.
That's doing the long set up.
There's such a strange way to set up that.
Not like now that's his locker room.
I mean, it's his classroom, but he has a submarine on it.
And then somebody says something from down the hall.
Brett.
Oh, wait, wrong commercial.
And then he turns around and he raises his eyebrows.
But who would that be?
I don't know.
I did recognize the voice.
But, you know what?
Kudos to them.
They've been entertaining.
That's all I ask.
Keep going.
If you're going to be fun.
Oh, we're doing women's iron survivor now.
Stephanie Bakker is on this on this channel.
I need everybody to be silent.
Unless this is the teens.
Oh, no, no.
Stephanie Bakker is always a tease for me.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my God.
Is this how you bring in Penta as the replacement?
Oh.
So you have those luchadoras.
So you're going to shout out to us, don't worry about me.
He does.
It's supplying us with the luchamasks the other night that we are.
Yeah, it's on.
Oh, yes.
I think Nathan might have actually either he broke his nose
or they had some serious makeup go in there.
So we're going to be the tag team now.
Yeah.
And I could not care less about this.
No quarter catch crew versus Nathan Frazier and Axiom.
Frazier.
Okay, kid.
See what I did there.
I'm surprised we didn't get a longer run with a town down under versus them
because those would have been great matches.
We're getting to each other the face and still win.
And you know, so we haven't changed those belts.
Yeah, but they don't need to be there.
Good.
But I'm just saying that's those are the only belts that
have been around long enough to say they haven't changed in form.
Because I don't know that the North American team
that you've been around.
That is version two of the tag belts.
Right.
But I'm just saying it's still been around longer than anything else.
That's what I'm saying.
But to clarify, the original NXT tag belts had that black and gold motif.
Right.
It was like the split.
Yeah.
I really, really want to able to do better and she just doesn't.
I also don't understand this thing where everybody's buying these chains
that have their initials and they lay sideways.
Very strange.
What?
Avis chain had an A, but it was letting side.
Oh, yeah.
I've seen that.
It's very strange.
It's just a thing.
And this match Tuesday night did not go on nearly long enough.
Yeah.
This battle royal was over in a heartbeat.
Yeah, it was on top.
Look at it.
I wonder if we're not seeing more of OGM because of the mask.
Like that there's a legit injury.
Could be.
Hank and Tank trying so desperately to be heavy machinery.
Apparently they're going to be making an appearance on reality
wrestling sometimes soon because they've been mentioned in the last two episodes in a row.
Yeah.
That dude really wants to be Randy Orton.
I keep thinking it is momentarily.
I'm not even getting miles born desperately wants to be Randy Orton.
But he's also so uninteresting.
Yeah.
And Tavy and Heights, I just...
I can't feel good about him being in the company.
Because you know who that is.
That's the other Steven, Stevenson guy.
Oh, is he real?
Yeah, that's Gabel Stevenson's brother who...
Well.
There were some things that aren't on air conversation.
But I will say the one thing that always catches me from no quarter catch group is
when Dempsey talks and you're like, oh right, he was born in this country.
Even though he's dead, super brilliant, William Regal.
Interesting back tattoo.
Maddie Renkowski not with them as she is preparing for the women's iron survivor challenge.
Like I get that she's ready to play with God.
Maddie Renkowski is just a better name to me.
But remember, we've talked about this.
It has to be two to three syllables for the company.
Because that's how they market.
That's why you had Stone Cold, The Rock, Sean Michaels, Triple H.
They always go two to three syllables because it rolls off the tongue and it can be said easier.
Always like the sentence.
Yes.
Especially how it incorporates the entire arena usually.
Lots of lasers when you're at the champion.
God blessed them for being able to do their own version of the Kodi Vader manually.
I've never seen anybody show two Gaul's pads inside one nostril before.
It's kind of interesting.
Called Selon the Bit.
I don't know that it's Selon the Bit.
Like I said, I think he took a legit shot.
Well, there was blood on the thing out there by the company.
He was bleeding everywhere.
And Axiom paying tribute to Wonder Woman.
I still don't know why they had to put him under the mask.
A kid was fine on his own.
As I wanted to steal Deona Farazo's bit.
They made their tag team debut last night on rampage.
Yep.
Mike Rome, who I said he has no problem going back to NXT because he lives in Orlando.
And he doesn't have to travel in there as much anymore.
Exactly.
Am I wrong that it bugs me when tag teams don't match?
Even a little bit.
Because Miles born distinctly going for the black and gray snake skin.
Tavy and Heights in the worst black and yellow single I've ever seen.
But at least he's the color scheme of the group.
I don't know that you can say that though.
Did you see the entrance video?
No, no, no.
I get that.
But I don't believe no quarter cash crew has established age group.
He's matching that.
He's matching the entrance.
Yes.
But Axiom's colors are just all over the place.
But here's my thing.
No quarter cash crew, yes.
Because they're part of a unit.
The other two, they're two separate guys.
So I don't have a problem there.
But they have been a tandem for a while.
Right.
But they're not.
There's no tag team name.
That's official.
Gotcha.
Like, Fraxiom is just what everybody calls them.
Oh.
He took the they took the nose bandages out.
And threw them out.
Kind of gross.
Yeah.
As Roddy Piper would say, I hand full of boogers.
I feel like they didn't quite measure everything out properly.
And the penalty box being at an angle messes with my OCD.
I feel like that was on purpose though.
Because it's trying to face the penalty box somewhat towards the hard camp.
That's fair.
I agree with you.
I would have rather put the penalty box like where the tag belts are in the back right.
So that you can see into the penalty box.
Frasier taking a powder.
Oh.
Is he saying I can't go?
Okay.
See, the other part is with that entrance video.
It was more of a gold to me.
Whereas this is bright yellow with katakana on a glass of gold.
Oh, man.
Dude, I've got two more matches after this.
Yeah.
And we're at the hour 16.
I don't know what we know.
One of them is going to go for at least about a half hour.
Well, it's going to go for 25 minutes exactly.
Maybe.
Because there could be OT.
OT?
Yeah, it's fair.
Well, somebody doesn't have to spell axiom on the captioning.
Yeah.
And just go to default to that spelling.
Okay, fair enough.
Oh, interesting.
Frasier does not want to tag in.
Okay.
Alligator roll.
Enroll.
Enroll.
Enroll.
We have so many ads right now.
It's a little disturbing.
Well, but that's the TKO way.
No, it really is.
But it feels like, you know, had on a hat when they were putting it up on the side.
Because it's like brought to you by 47 things.
I mean, at least the ring only has the Diablo logo.
Yeah.
But I would rather it be on the corners with the deadline logo in the middle.
Agreed.
But I mean, we know what the change has been because that, like you said, the TKO way.
Well, that was gone impressive.
I was really thinking he was going to miss it and end up kicking axiom.
That's what I thought too.
But he came in so low.
And here's OTM for reasons.
Are we going to have the whole division out again?
No, we're going to get a schmoss that makes sure we're done early enough.
Yeah.
And if Razor is legit injured, are you having a book on the fly a little bit?
That is a good question.
I just keep wanting to call Miles Bourne, Mandy Borg-Borgenshire.
Who's he talking to?
He's talking to the camera for some reason.
No, he's talking to the ring crew.
Good.
Okay.
He really shouldn't have shaved his head.
That is what it is.
Boy, that was kind of slow.
Axiom with the slowest topay of all time.
I like what machine guns are doing now, holding the ropes open.
Yeah.
It's kind of like that.
They've done that for a while, too.
Oh, man.
At this point, it's like, why is OTM even here?
Because I don't think they were actually part of an angle.
They were part of the battle royal.
We didn't get that right earlier, but that was it.
Okay.
Now, that spot I'll give.
Because they're drawing.
Well, Ed was drawing.
And he suplexed him over the top rope into the two.
Right.
Which I'm okay with it being done that way.
That was impressive.
And Frazier really timing it.
Well, yes.
OTM now being banned to the back, distracting 714 referees.
But again, this setup works out really well from Minneapolis or at the Armory.
I think it looks great.
The bars had the deadline of logo behind them.
It also looks great.
Nice teamwork by no quarter catch crew into the carryover.
And it's to count.
Still to come tonight.
We have the NXT Championship match where Trick Williams will take on Rich Holland.
And then we also have the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge.
Which I think could be the match of the night.
This is going to be fun to watch.
Five very, very, very talented individuals in that match.
I'm also interested to see what kind of shenanigans we're going to see in the title match.
Because both the competitors coming off pretty hot angle.
I've got a feeling you're going to see some sort of involvement by Andre Chase.
Because he showed him earlier and if we weren't going to have him on the show tonight.
Probably not much reason to have him on there earlier.
There's a shot of the tag belts.
I do like that.
And that they're putting the belts on like a pedestal by the ring when they're on the line.
I really do like that.
It gives it kind of a nice touch.
Nice reversal by Frazier.
Bormons it into the flip.
Both men fighting in the middle of a ring in a human tug of war.
I say human because there's no rope.
Their arms are the rope.
Nice move right there by born into the pinning combination.
And a two count.
Very that replay of that.
And if you missed under did not understand the reference earlier.
Axiom used to be in NXT UK a wrestler called a kid.
They put the mask and he was from Spain.
It was very, very had a very good run in NXT UK.
The very, very end of the NXT UK run.
So it's good to still see him in the company doing great work.
But right now he is on the outside as Frazier is trying to keep this match alive against heights.
Right into the middle turn buckle.
I do appreciate that.
Oh, and then a big backdrop.
Heights takes out Axiom.
Oh, got wrench very nice.
Frazier kicks out again.
Surprise there hasn't been more entrances by tag teams in this that we only got OTM.
Especially giving the chaos of the tag team division has been over the last month.
Nice shot of the armory showing you the depth of or the audience.
Interesting amount of seating opposite the ramp to make up for the very low seating on the sides.
Frazier now trying to get over to the other side of the ring.
Reaching.
Reaching.
Watching.
Insiguri.
And we have the hot tag.
Also on the other side.
Axiom with a beautiful cross body.
Now by himself taking on both of his opponents.
Some chops.
Now the whip reverses.
Oh, very interesting spot.
Axiom uses both of his opponents against each other.
Hoking up a little bit.
Very long two count on that.
After another near fall.
An NXT chant has broken out.
Axiom giving some kind of a cue, which usually means we're about to go home.
When they talk to each other audibly in the ring.
One thing to always look out for to see where you're at in the match.
When one wrestler says something blatantly to the other within the shot of the camera.
Usually means we're getting close to the end of the match.
It's a cue for them to do what they need to do to end the match.
Hides with a power slam.
Axiom with a very, very overstated kick out, if you will.
We got split screen, so I'm trying to keep an eye on the live feed.
And the next two special events that we will try to cover.
Actually we have three.
We have one on Friday night, but we won't be doing that one.
We have to do that one on delay, which will be a final resolution for TNA.
There's also a final battle for Ring of Honor on the 20th and AEW Worlds end on the 28th.
Another kick out by Axiom.
Tadeon seems to be bleeding from the mouth as well.
What a blood on this show tonight.
Boot to the face.
Another boot to the face.
That's a doctorate a mentor, a rumor, a reference look at that.
So double team shenanigans, no.
Axiom throws.
Born onto his partner outside the ring, looking to set up a tope.
A little close, okay.
Let's say a little close to the penalty box.
But Frazier is going to try for the spot up over the top rope.
Gets both of them in the spot that I don't like, because you can see them waiting for it.
I don't even know if heights as the legal man at this point.
But we'll take a look.
One, two, no.
And a kick out.
Really thought born was the legal man at this point.
With Frazier and Axiom a good tag team because of all the apura bags,
I just don't know how much longer they're going to be together.
I'm just saying.
Born now back up.
Earlier I did predict they possible sweep for the no quarter catch crew.
We'll see what happens here.
We do not currently have a location on Axiom.
So Frazier trying to do his best to keep this thing moving by himself.
Heights joins him on the top turnbuckle, superplex.
Born now in.
So I guess heights was the legal man.
Well, let's be honest, it's NXT.
The legal man is whoever they want to say it is.
So similar to AEW.
Axiom in for the save.
With a hybrid stomp slash drop kick to Mandy Orton's head.
I also forgot that we have a TNA plea next Friday, the 19th, the 13th.
Oh, it's Friday night for final resolution.
Final resolution then final battle then.
Oh, I was thinking January already.
Axiom.
They're not going to spell it right.
That's all right.
Frazier selling the hot tag finally.
I really thought he was going to end up getting a pin so they could tell the story of,
oh, I did all the work.
Can blah, blah, blah.
So Axiom or no, that was going to be Frazier's thing because Axiom's out for a while.
Spanish fly into the Phoenix splash.
Wow, impressive.
And what he does.
Oh, there he fights.
Nope.
Oh, that was interesting.
He's broke up the pin and ran into a super kick.
Literally just stomped on the back of Frazier on the way by to then eat the boot of Axiom.
Very nice.
Especially when it's done in a creative way because we haven't really seen that.
Sparking another NXT chant.
We're going to try it again.
Oh, dear.
Yep, there's the misdirect.
The misfire Axiom, John Wu, super drop kick on to Frazier.
Huge clothesline.
Heights into the DVD.
Flip over.
Oh, he did not tailbone onto the apron.
Yeah, the artist part of the ring.
I think we got it here.
So it's a tandem TKO one, two, no.
Kick out.
See, that's an impressive move.
That should be protected.
Well, hello producer number two.
Ru has joined us.
See, only time I wish we were on camera.
She's just wondering because we're starting to hit that time where I look like I start doing other thing.
Another attempt of a finisher by the no quarter catcher reversed into a pseudo destroyer into a PD William special.
Taking advantage one, two, oh, not barely a two count on that.
The crucifix countered into the small package.
And retaining pulse-mackage master of the small package.
Wow, really didn't see that coming.
Hey, I'm good with it.
It's a very good false finishes in this.
Yeah.
And Fraser is bleeding again.
Again, solid match.
So this is the first one I've gotten wrong.
Well, but here's the thing.
Are we about to get Axiom turning on Fraser?
Because we've done that numerous times.
No, like, what we do with Axiom is a heel.
Put him with Wesley.
Hey, they're on.
Neither of them have anything going on.
If they have lost, I could see that.
Yeah, that's a fair point.
But what I'm saying is this NXT for a while there got two.
Leaning into win-tag titles.
One turns on the other for a while.
Because we had it with the women's, we had it with the men's.
We got all over the place with that.
Because they were like, oh, nobody will see it coming.
It's like, yeah, NXT you've done it a few times.
Because we're also getting a lot of blood on his nose.
Yeah, he definitely broke something for Andy.
We'll be hosting the Royal Rumble on February 1st.
Alex's favorite show of the year.
It's pretty wrestling Christmas.
Yes, it is.
I'm going to be interested to see how they set this up.
I have seen the layout.
Allegedly, it's going to be a very long runway.
As it has been in the long run.
But without a stage.
But we haven't had a stage for the Rumble in years.
They've been doing baseball stadiums too.
That's also a little bit tougher to do.
Yeah, but you still have the same kind of tunnel
that you're going to be building something around.
It's kind of like they did with...
Come on, Pete.
When they were at NRG.
Yes.
Well, and you think about it.
You also had San Antonio.
Yeah.
Where it's literally just kind of a...
It's the hall.
I'm going to hallways the wrong way to call it.
But it's just that.
A breezeway, if you will.
Nah, perhaps.
Excuse me.
That and we also have any plea that does not have Roxanne Perez
as a lesser plea.
I would be shocked if they...
If they didn't put her at ringside for the women's survivor.
That would make sense.
Because since she's not on the card.
Yeah.
Like, trick not being out there, he's on the card.
Oh, I like the shirt, though.
Look at your neck.
I don't think I'm ever going to get into the I was their shirts.
But I appreciate it.
Unless I was actually there.
No, no, no, I mean in general.
I'm not a fan.
How many letters, too many words, too much?
Showing now a clip from the behind the scenes with CM Punk
and Survivor Series last year.
And of course it's Bruce leading him.
Mm-hmm.
And all the people that have been giving the CM Punk hate.
It's been a year.
Nothing but glowing reviews across the board.
Shut up and move along.
I just love his reaction when he comes back to AG.
He's like, this is good.
This is going to get.
It's not going to get me better.
Yeah.
I just remember we were at your house last year.
There's paste.
What?
Michael Hay?
Yep.
Yes, Michael Hayes.
AKA Doc Andrew.
Yep.
But nothing will ever top that picture at the In Your House
and NXT Worker Gano came out straight in the picture.
Anyways.
I remember when we were at your house,
we were like, man, that was a really lackluster survivor series.
And I can't believe and then cult of personality hits.
And I'm like, everybody shut up.
And we were both just like, oh my god, they pulled it off.
Yeah.
But I like that they filmed all this because you can see it.
I just remembered that pop was deafening.
Yep.
Oh, Bailey.
Because nobody knew.
Yeah.
Even Triple H is up looking at it.
And that's...
I just get the point picture.
Get the point picture.
Uh.
Boy.
Say it again.
I got regals just like, yeah, we worked together recently.
Just watching Bailey's reaction.
Because she's like, he's like her big brother.
Well, you saw the statement from Cody, right?
I don't remember.
Right now, Bailey is your unquestioned locker room leader
regardless of gender.
Yeah.
And that makes sense.
She's done everything.
She's conned the rest of the world into thinking Mercedes Monet
was really great.
You want to push to put out a picture of you
and me and blow up the internet.
My favorite, though, is when...
I'm curious.
When Randy gets there.
Oh, but are we going to get the unedited version of what Randy says?
I don't know if we get it on the...
Well, I'm just...
I'm kind of curious, just in that same scope.
Are you a hugger?
Maybe you were tag team champions again.
Something in the urban.
Yeah, man.
Kofi!
We don't do that anymore.
But Randy's responsive.
You can't even let me enjoy my return for 10 minutes.
And just that look of Galee on Randy's face.
It's just so worth it.
He's come so far.
Yeah.
Yeah, there he is.
Yep.
He just believed it.
10 minutes.
You know, I genuinely wonder how much of this was Randy evolving as a person.
And how much of it was working with Riddle in realizing he doesn't have to be on all the time.
The answer is yes.
Yeah.
The only good thing Riddle may have ever done.
Another shot of downtown Minneapolis.
Beautiful sunset.
Yeah.
December 17th.
They're going to be in Lowell Mass.
So another onsite episode of NXT.
I wonder if they're going to do a double taping that night.
Because the next Tuesday would be Christmas Eve.
I bet they do.
Unless they just do a best out for that.
Which wouldn't surprise me either.
We have Julia warming up on three steps.
That's a whole lot of hair extensions going on.
Uh-huh.
Or at least they blended it well.
Somebody walk like give me a high five.
Earlier tonight because these are all the exy underground people that this would have happened about a half an hour ago.
Yeah.
They really are all the people from the NXT ground around the ring.
I am I am genuinely concerned.
But I think that's more my guard constantly being up with this industry.
The Javon Evans turns out to be a jerk or something like that.
And it's going to hurt my heart.
Yeah.
I really hope.
Oh, Wesley is going to run his mouth.
Speaking of jerks.
No.
Javon Evans.
He's scared of the women.
They are bad.
See, I think what we were starting was we're going to have a program with Javon in west.
Oh.
Cheap shot.
I was just about to say that the tattoo on his left bicep looks like the deepest title.
That I was just thinking that it was going to be.
Uh, so the women are going to close it.
Yep.
I just had those two flip.
Yep.
Anywho.
No, I was just thinking that we're setting up for a program between those two and trying to let one of them, if not both, shine enough to elevate.
Yep.
You know, it's been a while.
When's the last time we actually, and I'm going back to the men's iron survivor.
But when's the last time we actually saw Obamacan consistently?
Does I feel like it's been a bit?
His remass for the North American title.
Which wasn't recent.
It's right after howling habits on month.
That's not recent in this industry.
No, but still.
There's a look at six weeks.
Oh, man.
So more video package, more video package.
So we're calling it the redeemer, even though it's the rampage.
Maybe they thought rampages a little too, too, uh, on the nose of a shot.
Well, it is because it's spelled like her name.
But what I'm saying is calling it the redeemer is another shot.
And the whole air bishoff thing.
It's literally just thumbing their nose on AEW.
I was like,
but it also is probably him promoting one shot, too.
But at that same time, there has been a long standing back and forth of bishoff versus Tony Khan.
And Dave Meltzer.
So that's been a consistent thread.
So throwing him on NXT, even if it gets their lowest ratings and God knows how long.
It was really just a, yeah, we can still use this guy.
You might not be able to, but.
And bishoff will tell anybody who wants to listen that even if Tony Khan offered him a contract, he wouldn't do it.
Money talks.
Well, I was going to say we know if nothing else taught us from wrestling in the 80s.
Everything has a price.
Yep.
Thanks to the Vios.
Nice.
That's as close as I'm going to get to it.
It was well done.
The Vios.
Bit.
Yeah, I can't do it now.
I just wanted to throw it up on the floor.
Also there.
Yeah.
That was definitely a fashion choice trick me on Tuesday, too.
Well, he's like, are we going to Canada?
Denim, denim, denim.
I thought it was velvet.
Bishoff acting shocked.
Yeah.
But Rich Holland is another one.
I like him, but he's better as part of a group.
Absolutely.
His issue is one of the ones I've said with like other people.
He's not inherently interested.
You have to put him in something.
Like to make him interesting here, he's going to title match.
If you were saying like, okay, Rich Holland versus Ova Femi for a number one's contender,
I don't know that I care.
Like I want Rich to be there.
You wanted to see that from the Hawks' fight aspect?
Oh no, I do.
But what I'm saying is from a story aspect, I don't care.
I'll watch the big meaty men's laugh and meat.
But when it comes to an actual story, it's literally nothing more than the Hawks' fight.
Whereas something like just spitballing here.
Rich Holland and Shamus have the history you can tell the story,
but it's going to rely on Shamus doing the yeoman's work of carrying it.
We have a very interesting video package opening for Rich Holland.
And he's going up and smoke.
Do we start calling him Cheech Holland?
There he is.
Where in white?
They just want him to be the guy from Warrior so bad, and it's not happening.
Excuse me.
What is happening right now?
Because this is just weird.
They're just playing in music, according to the captioning.
But what I'm saying is that you have the cameras too tight.
The shot is too tight right now.
He's like a love child between the next big thing and Zack Ryder.
Oh, that's an interesting pull.
I was thinking he's Braun Breaker without the wrestling experience.
Or the graffiti.
Or the graffiti.
Chase, you drop out.
Okay, that's fun.
Yeah.
I mean, it's factual.
Hostile dropout.
Oh, I just saw the three lions on his boots.
The three lions on his boots.
Sorry, English national teams.
It's three lions.
Oh, okay.
So, when you see like the...
It's also got something on the front of the Trump scene.
I think that's just his initials.
No, it's something like a black hole.
Okay.
But anyways, the three lions, if you ever see like the men's English football team or soccer,
they have the three lions as the patch.
And the lion.
Oh, they've said three lions.
Oh.
Yeah, but it's my congestion probably.
Okay, we just...
It's not.
Because it's like, okay, let's stand up, put our thumb down in bow, but there's only like six of us.
But I was saying earlier, like, I like how they've got the...
Most of the seats on that side facing them right now.
And we don't have to listen to that chant that I don't like.
Well, we're gonna see the caption of it.
Yeah.
I'm just curious how much Booker T we're gonna get in the closed captioning.
Now, that you can say that's beautiful.
Look at that velvet.
Of course, he comes out in purple because the face pandering to the locals.
Oh.
There might be something on the back too.
Something won.
Yeah.
This should be a good match though.
But Trick has been doing great, great work for a solid year now.
But he is also really the...
I hate to use the word prototype.
But how you develop a guy.
Yeah.
He was the guy next to the guy for a while.
He was established learning by osmosis.
And so that when you do finally have the guy face the guy, it's been long enough that you've told enough of a story.
And he should have learned enough to be able to do it and he did.
Yeah.
Well, and it's that whole aspect like Triple H said all along.
NXT, for what it was always meant to be, was premier athletes who did not have background in wrestling being taught wrestling.
It's a good looking suit, my crumbs wear.
It is.
I like it.
I like how they do the thing with the lights.
Give it that old school MSG spotlight.
Yeah.
There's always 61253 and he doesn't look a bit under 65.
Yeah, there's a lot of words on that logo, but there's a skull in there and a cross.
But the only thing like with this, and maybe it's just my own preference, Trick Williams 64242 time and NXT champ.
Ritalin born Luke Menzies.
Yeah.
But anyways, like you were talking about with the lights, the only other thing I would want is that microphone that comes down from the ceiling.
I do miss that.
Kennedy.
No, I'm talking about even before then.
But yes.
Where we ever robbed of greatness more than with Kennedy's injury.
Unmultiple front.
Yep.
I am not a big fan of the looks of that belt now that I see it up close.
I like it.
But the spider web is in.
Here comes the slug fest.
Because Ridge.
I will never.
I am longing for the day that Ridge goes to throw a suplex and I don't cringe.
Oh my god.
That would have been interesting.
I haven't beat Trick Williams in all of about 47 seconds.
You got to reserve half an hour for the last match.
Now does having the other iron survivor challenge as the last match does not hurt that match because at this point you know pretty much how much time is left in the shed.
I don't know that it does.
I think what it does do is it helps out a ton because people can understand how much time they have left.
And they don't have to worry about how much longer is this going to go.
So.
God, I just got word that.
The Christopher Reed documentary Superman now available to stream on max.
Nice.
I will be watching this super slash man.
Yeah.
I just want to clarify for anybody that goes looking.
A lot of Superman stuff lately.
I think Superman and Lois ending.
The rumors of a trailer coming Christmas day.
And tangentially having creature commandos doing great.
Also getting great reviews.
I like that Royal Rumble color scheme.
Well, it fits the cults and everything but it's one of those where.
I feel cold right now.
I don't like the looks of it.
It makes me feel colder.
It's almost icy.
Did anybody ever really pull off white boots?
Well, I don't know that.
I feel like the closest you would have was Hollywood Hogan.
Or, and even then it was mostly covered in Harlem heat would wear off the all white.
That's true.
But that kind of blended into the pants a little bit more than the boots being by themselves.
On the men's side.
Because I Trish said I did the white boots quite a bit.
That's fair.
Yeah.
On the men's side.
Oh.
I had a moment.
I was like, oh, we're just being caught up on the results from earlier in the low.
Yeah.
And I was like, why are we acting like we haven't already had that match?
Oh.
That's something they've been doing lately.
Oh no, I appreciate that.
I like it.
I just, my brain forgot it.
Like literally just spaced out.
I just thought we were like, oh, we still have the underground match.
What?
I appreciate that Ridge is really trying to sell this.
Oh.
Okay.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Yeah.
I'm never not going to cringe whenever Ridge goes for a belly to belly.
It's just not going to happen.
You're not wrong.
After we realized it was four years.
But independent of that, respect to Luke Menzies for going to the hospital afterwards.
And multiple levels of contact between those two during the time.
Yeah.
Going to old school.
Turnbuckle to turnbuckle with trick Williams.
Okay.
Who was it that throws the neck breaker like that?
Was it Z-Corp?
Mac and Tire does it too.
Interesting.
Slight heel move for trick Williams would be a slingshot into the bottom of the board.
But he said at the beginning, this is not the happy go lucky champ we used to see.
That is true.
That venue is so interesting to me because there's that wall that has armor on it.
But it's just a wall.
Yeah.
And like, I would love to see that venue with the lights on.
Just add a curiosity.
Because it's like you were saying before, it's an excellent size.
It's an excellent layout for this.
But it kind of looks, it reminds me of, like you were saying, the factory.
But it also has a little bit of gillice feel to me with the bar in the background.
Oh.
Very slow.
Well, Ridge is heavy.
That's a lot of humanity on that.
Yeah, it is.
I feel like I would love for somebody to teach trick Williams that, hey, you've made it.
You can throw this thing or it's flat like legitimately.
You don't have to just walk up and jump like you're trying to kitty paw the person in the corner.
Stop on a bog hole and walk in a dry since he's seen on British.
Roy.
He just had NXT his mind.
I also worry about guys that don't wrestle with knee pads.
Yeah, I always wait for it to like scrape.
Oh, yeah.
But we've said that similar to wrestling.
We've said it with football, everything.
Yeah.
So I'm going to say it, I'm going to be unpopular.
For as much as the underground match surprise and excelled to me, this one is not.
Oh, I don't think it's unpopular.
This has not been a great match this one.
Yeah.
I mean, I get what they're trying to pull and it's just, it feels clunky.
I guess it'll be the best way to put it.
I can't disagree.
Oh, man.
So I guess we're going to have a long time between this and the last match, too,
because all the set of five people doing entrance was well, yeah.
But logistically, there's no issue.
Yeah.
It's not like the underground match.
Well, but you're also not bringing all five out at one time.
Right.
Which is why I'm thinking it's going to take longer because Soul Rooka might go in at a fast face,
but that probably is the list.
It also depends on the order they bring everybody out.
Yeah.
I just realized something.
So we have talked numerous times about certain matches occurring in NXT for reasons that may not be obvious.
So they know Ridge has a good look.
He is a big beefy dude.
But he struggles wrestling at times.
Do you think this is more of a test for trick Williams to prove that he can carry people?
Maybe.
Because he's doing a lot of bumping.
You can see that.
Kind of like when we were talking about with Carmelo and other matchups that he had post title matchup.
Trium, whoa.
Thanks, Joey.
You're welcome.
It's kind of feels nice to stretch like that.
I feel like I could go for that right now.
That would be very good because my back is hard to disagree.
Hello, I'm television's Rich Hall.
Crowd the week.
Crowd the week.
I always love what they do that with the captioning.
Yeah.
They're like we're filling in too.
Don't worry.
Feeling too good about his career?
Okay.
I feel like we missed something in that.
Let's go.
Did Trium put his foot in the...
Okay.
From that angle, it looked like his foot was in the hole at the turn by...
I know exactly what you mean.
But I think that has to do more with trick being so tall.
He can't do the traditional loop because his legs are too long.
Otherwise, he'd just be like laying with his shoulders on the...
That didn't quite work well for Rich.
I think you just described most of his career now.
He tried to wrap Trium's foot into the ropes and it just...
It just tumbled.
Yeah.
Okay, so...
Is he in choke?
Question work?
Hi.
At old school neckbreaker.
I haven't seen that in a while.
I like it rolling.
It's not quite the swinging neckbreaker, but...
Oh, here we go.
Taking away the tape for the neck.
What a blast legend comes out to save him.
So be a little odd.
Always will be.
Yeah.
Nice.
A little tumbling DDT.
Oh my god.
Roo wants to play with her Toei.
Uh-huh.
Oh, somebody else in the tension.
Oh man.
I don't know.
Do you like it with the...
Because we were talking about it before, but the Diablo IV logo being the only thing on the canvas this time.
Did you like it with the white writing?
Or would you prefer it black?
I like it with the white writing because when you black out the arena, you could actually feature it with like a black light.
That's an interesting concept.
I think of it.
Because to me, I felt like I was...
I would prefer it to be dark because it blends in better.
But that's kind of the opposite of what an ad does.
Very supposed to do.
You also matches the ropes.
It's true.
Oh, got an arm bar coming in.
Into a cross face.
Yep.
Oh, we're looking for something too.
Oh, he hears the bell.
Uh, nope.
Book end.
Booker never taking a moment to not call it the rock bottom.
This has been kind of sloppy.
It's been slow.
Yeah.
And it's also at that point of the show where it's just like...
We're approaching our three little burn.
Yeah.
Okay.
I thought we were about to have a tiger driver.
But Holland would need extra slow power bomb pickup.
Well, it's like Holland's trying to pick up the pace, but he's too gasped.
Yeah.
That was a terrible camera angle for a trick.
Just...
Redemptionist.
That's what it says between his names on the trunk.
Redemptionist?
Interesting.
I thought you were talking about the logo on the...
No, I was originally.
Yeah.
But since I saw there was something on the back.
Yeah.
I was...
That's...
Once I saw there was something on the back, then I couldn't figure it out to the desk now.
And...
That's the flying head.
But with some lady in the background, shewing him away.
It's rumbling.
Chair paradise.
What?
Mark.
All these kids, he's just hanging out.
Oh.
By the way, in case you were looking for the apple forest called the vessel of hatred.
Because...
Of course.
Yeah.
Easy killer.
Yeah, she likes the claw jeans.
Oh.
Double broke.
And trick just falls on him.
Oh.
Interesting.
So, I think we both have trick winning this, right?
Oh yeah.
Yeah.
If you were to book Ridge winning, how would you do it?
Love, love.
Just go with the default.
Keep it simple.
No external curriculars.
Not yet.
Okay.
Because I was thinking...
Ethan Page...
No.
...assisted a fall, my friend, if you sit right there.
Yeah.
Because the one that crossed my mind was Ethan Page helping Ridge Island just for reasons.
Now, if Ethan had won the Iron Survivor Challenge, that would give him skin again.
See, I would think of it the opposite way.
If he won the Iron Survivor, he's getting a shot regardless.
But because he didn't, he has to do a favor for the new champion.
Oh.
Here we go, the announce table.
Question is, does it survive?
Does it stay up?
It's not made of iron.
I'm going to let you go.
Is it bad that I was like literally expecting it to fall at that moment?
It's about to.
Yeah, it's buckling.
It's already wobbly.
Well, that's because they pulled the pan.
Yeah.
Oh, back body drop.
I hope that was how that was supposed to go.
I think it was.
What is Vic Joseph wearing?
Good God.
I wasn't even looking.
Okay.
Look for the man-sized fuchsia spot.
Okay.
Oh, that's about what I'm part for him.
Oh.
Oh.
We have a pan man.
Interesting.
Now do we have Ridge lose his mind and start pulling down as I be trying to choke?
Trick will even do a DQ.
I don't know.
You get five.
God.
Was that not supposed to happen?
Because I felt weird.
No, that was pretty well worked out.
Because all he really would have to do is put his feet down and move.
Right.
But what I'm saying is with the way they did it, it looked weird.
Nope.
Another king guy.
Okay, I'll get my infringement.
Going for the front handle.
Nope.
I don't know.
That was a gotch pile driver.
Oh, is that what that was?
Yes.
Oh, dear.
That was a little sloppy.
That was sloppy even by the standards of this map.
Yeah.
Which I've already been sloppy.
Flying knee.
Oh, careful.
Come on, okay.
And the trick shot wins it.
So clean win.
Which do you prefer when they call it the trick knee or the trick shot?
The trick shot because trick knee makes it sound like he's going to hurt himself.
That's, that was my thought process, too.
That's still.
And Booker going nuts.
Now there's Oba come out and just wreck house.
Because that would be a good way to tell the story.
If this was the last match, I would say yes.
Well, you saved that for Tuesday.
Except for the fact that we just, I don't know if this was coincidence or not,
but our referee holding up tricks hand saying something and staring up the rampway.
I feel like NXT has no real contenders anymore.
I mean, we, of course, corrected with Oba, but for the most part, it's like, I...
It's kind of...
It's kind of like the aspect that we had during Reigns' undisputed title run
where nobody seemed like a viable person to beat him for the longest time.
Oba, maybe as close as you're going to get, right?
That's what I've said.
Yeah.
That's why I referred to it as the course correction for Oba being the number one contender.
Because as much as I want everybody to do well, Ridge ain't it.
Ridge wasn't beating anybody.
And we sacrificed to chase you for a minute just to make it look like he was.
Yeah.
Oh my god, it's Cody Rhodes.
Did you ever see that video of Rhea Ripley during media doing the signing
and they kept playing Cody Rhodes entrance over and over again?
Because it was the kids' entrance.
So, all the kids wanted to be Cody Rhodes, so they just kept playing Cody Rhodes over and over again.
Yep.
Okay, exciting, nice main event.
Next Saturday, Long Island from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The home of the islanders.
But right now we're getting that, oh, interesting use of the picture and picture with the Bronson Reed,
Splat, with Michael Cole as the mate, oh god.
Michael Cole just had the time of his life.
Cory Graves always looking confused.
Oh.
Oh, excuse me.
But, what are we pumping up here?
Oh, unfortunate Bronson Reed going for the tsunami off the top of the wargames cage
proceeds to shatter his entire right ankle.
So, we wish the best to Bronson Reed on his recovery.
Dude's been doing great work lately.
It's an unfortunate situation, but injuries do happen.
So, who knows.
I feel like there's a chance he could be back by the rumble,
but it may be one that they keep him out longer just to be safe.
I honestly don't know.
I am not a doctor, but it looked real bad.
I don't recommend going and looking at that video in any way, shape or form,
because that ankle gives way.
When do you think Bronson Reed will be back?
All three injuries they have said indefinitely.
I remember that.
I was thinking, my hope would be he'd be back by the rumble,
because it gives him enough time to heal, usually at six weeks for a broken bone,
but because his is his ankle, it gets caught.
I've heard he was both.
I've only saw the right one.
I've heard it was both ankles.
And if that's the case, if that's the case, it's definitely.
But I believe based on his own social media reporting, it's only his right hand.
We hope that's the case.
We hope it was less, but that's not an option.
We have currently a video package for Gunther,
because we're getting ready to push him as a face.
Also read this week that apparently 2025 is going to be a huge singles push for one thin bowler.
I did see that, because when you look at it, it's the same aspect.
That was Triple H's original pick, it's the universal title.
Yep.
That he had to harp 22 hours.
Still feel bad about that.
If my entire career was based on a Burger King crown, I'd be a hate net.
I'm wondering, if we did King and Queen of the Rain the same way next year,
are they going to do like they did with crown jewel and just give him a ring and keep the crowns there?
I don't know, because we didn't have the crowns kept there at this time.
And they weren't used for very long.
No, no, they were only on for a few weeks, but at that same time, they were still used this side of the pond.
It's a really long promo for somebody who's not on this show.
Well, and I could understand, again, like we were getting ready for the underground match.
You got to take the ropes down.
You don't have to do anything.
I was saying about setup, but all I could think of is maybe we're getting some last minute coaching or something that's taken a while.
All right, now we're going back live backstage with Ethan Page,
because we had to take the stickers off of the water and then free ads.
Could you imagine if that was your job the entire way?
It's like you're just a label guy.
All you do is cut labels or put black tape over them.
Your entire job involves a pair of scissors.
And black tape.
Yeah.
It's not everything can be cut off.
Oh, he has somebody to talk to.
And it's me.
You know, just get Scork, bring him over.
Put minute of the year back together and let's do this thing.
You know how to always give my guys guys some hip love.
Why is there just random people walking away in the background?
And why does he does it look like he's in the parking garage?
He is.
They have tables set up, but it's in the parking garage.
There was napcotts in the background.
I think it's just a bunch of road cases.
Bailey.
He is a heavy boy.
I just saw this entire chair flopping over in my laptop.
I'm going to be flying.
Well, he is almost as big as Hunter now.
You probably weighs more than Hunter does now.
Yeah.
Bailey, which is looking for my friend.
Well, there comes some.
Alright, so we have Ava.
Ava, I only have a job because of, you know, nephatism.
I'm trying to see if she's actually going to say anything we need to record on.
They keep showing that it's a visco San Martino Andre versus Hulk.
Ken Patera versus Tony Atlas.
That was the heck of a card.
That's MSG.
Or not MSG.
That's a Shay Stadium show.
I like how it's said.
I think it's a steel-caged match.
Yeah.
First in the NXT of 2025 will be live from Los Angeles.
So they're going to be out there, too.
And we have a Tiffany Stratton appearance.
Well, she is Minnesota's home.
Yeah, but this is her hometown.
Now, if now she's there in Roxanne's ringside.
Oh, that's an interesting little idea.
You're talking about her potentially catching money in the bank on NXT.
Yes?
Yep.
But she has held that belt a couple of times.
No, the one I was thinking in that one was if you wanted to make it interesting,
Ava could have done the flip of, well, you could have two shots at titles.
If you join the Iron Survivor, we'll make it a six person.
And then the fine print is the winner of the Iron Survivor gets the money in the bank.
Yes.
I would have been a fun little switch.
Okay, here's your answer.
Addresses the NXT Universe.
I hate that.
They're just basically giving the tease for NXT this Tuesday.
You have a tag match of the other two fatal influence against Tatum Paxley and GG Dolan.
Could we find a worse picture of Ava Femme for this?
Yeah, that's from tonight.
I know it's from tonight, but it looks like he just pooped himself.
Like, he literally went to flex and lost control.
Are we going to explain this again?
Probably.
Yeah, we are.
We're doing the full video package for it too.
They didn't play this the first time.
Yes, they did.
They were talking over it.
I think now that we're here,
I think Rhine is still the most interesting story going in,
because should she win?
She's the only member of no quarter cash crew to win her match.
That is very true.
I mean, I know this sounds bad,
but I am drawn to blank on who had the heritage cup right now.
Dempsey does.
That's what I thought.
So then you'd have the aspect of Dempsey and Sinclair,
and then the tag team or the odd men out.
And now we have a Gracie.
And it's going to say hello.
Yes, I have to start prepping the food so she can get her drugs.
Ah, yes.
Because thankfully she is doing much better.
Anyways, because she's a good puppy girl.
Because last year was Roxanne one, right?
Roxanne won the first one.
Okay, who won the women's last year?
Um, yeah, Roxanne.
No, that was, but that was in the quarter of the second.
I thought that's a 2024 or 2023 vibe.
Well, that was in the performance center.
Maybe she won both of them.
It wouldn't surprise me, really.
Because there was a long stretch in there
where she was like the only safe NXT women's competitor
because she was good.
All right, your first participants are...
Who are your youngest people?
Because Rens and Claire is going to be one of them.
I'm saying that right now.
We just explain the rules.
They don't care.
Oh.
Words, words, words.
It's a wall of text.
Like this is the dumbest thing ever.
You just did an entire vignette explaining the match.
Yeah.
Which I guarantee you was played in the arena.
Which was this, but this was the wall of text
that I was talking about.
That I liked how they did it in the pre-show
where they let the vignette run
but did the stuff at the bottom.
Yeah, and they did the same thing here.
Starting out the match.
Is this Julia?
No, it's Zara.
Yeah, it is Julia.
Julia is your first participants.
With her Mad Max mask.
Now Kai want to climb the chair.
And I can do anything you can do.
Yeah.
But what we've learned is
you really don't have an advantage
being one of the first two in from a time standpoint.
Yeah, it's true.
Oh.
And we will see coming in second.
I feel like we might actually get the curve.
Unless they're holding that back.
Sonic 3 coming December 20th.
Just in time for winter break.
Oh, interesting.
I forgot.
Blair Davenport one last year.
Okay.
Another call-up that really hasn't been able to do much.
Yeah.
Rens and Claire is your second participants.
So in your originals, it was Roxanne Perez,
like you said, increase in wall.
So then last year was Blair Davenport and Trick Williams.
Oh.
Color me completely on the shot.
That's a lot of orange.
She always looks uncomfortable.
It's so weird.
Like I don't know if it's on purpose or not,
but she always looks.
At least in this one, we know who all the participants are.
Well, unless they're so shenanigans.
But yes.
Bring the bell.
Okay.
Although I will say I think it was the first time
when we had the men's match that a pinfall happened before
other people had gotten in.
I think that was the first time.
I mean, it was right at the five minute mark.
But I feel like that was the first time we had somebody
in the rain by themselves in any of the matches.
Very much could be wrong on that one.
Based on, you know, the flurry of pinfalls last year
with Trick Williams.
Yeah.
Red and Sinclair looking for a test of strength.
Okay.
A lot of pelt's going on.
So we're not going to do the two hands.
We're just wide-handed at your bite.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, do это.
Iron eye.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
Still disturbing this?
I got out of my gut.
Now I got the good test of strength.
I still find it interesting because Julia's English
is not great.
English is very great but it's all she speaks. Sorry I'm thinking of Adriano Rizzo that's that voice. Oh okay. Oh interesting. Nice little roll tuck. Yeah and if you get a pin in that first five minutes, you really can't book it that way because it's like it's like punk at the rumble. Exactly. That's why I was saying it was interesting that they did it.
But the timing was exactly how you would. Yeah. The only breeder is them getting into the rain. But if we're, you know, playing the home game, we're looking at this match should be over by just about a 30 local. No.
You got two minutes in. We got 23 more minutes. It's a 25 minute match. Right. So you're a 42. No, no, I said 42. Oh, it's a 32. I was rounding down. Okay. Yeah, because we were talking earlier about this show. Yeah, probably every UF 30 minutes total left. That would give 10 minutes. We're going to switch over to UFC now.
Honestly, I kind of feel like we, this one may end in a tie. I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like this one's going to end in a tie.
Okay, you're just silly. Very much so.
And our friend really still here. So many, so many kitties. So little time.
That's the two minutes to the third participant joining the party.
Rensen Claire looking shocked right now. Shocked. I tell you.
Oh, man. So with this, as we were discussing earlier, if you had your way with any plea. So I'm talking about not brand specific.
Would you want to book yours like NXT? Give us five good matches to great matches and call it a day.
Or would you rather do major shows like survivor series and cover multiple hours?
The way NXT does it, I like because it makes the majors more special. That's been my issue.
When every pay-per-view runs four hours, the majors don't mean anything. Yeah, they're no longer major. They're just named.
Yeah, which I think is the issue that AEW faces. Yeah, because they constantly go so long.
And the other problem you have with that is a lot of their pay-per-view matches are ones we already get on like dynamite and stuff.
So it does not help.
And when they were doing three to four a year, that made sense. But now they're going to a monthly model.
And you're asking an awful lot of your audience because it's in that same vein of I've been thinking about this.
We talked about it for the future state of majors from under the WWE banner.
I kind of feel like every plea should run like an NXT. Give five great matches or five of the best matches you can.
And then for the majors, do two nights, but do the exact same thing. You get four hours one night, four hours the next night.
I'm still surprised that it was summer slam that went two nights and not the rumble.
You know, we've been talking about that for a long time, but we know it's not far off, yeah.
Saul Ruka is next.
I can't, I can't get behind her. I just, I can't put my finger on it.
She's athletic, she's gifted. I just, I can't find myself giving a crap.
Does she, is it because she reminds you too much of Charlotte and we already have Charlotte?
No, no. That's an interesting poll because of the acrobatic blonde.
But to me, acrobatic tall blonde, fair. But for me, it fits more into the motif of,
she's in there to be the women's version of the flippy do.
Like, I'm not going to do anything really that interesting, but I'm going to do some interesting stuff.
Interesting move there, pretending that Julia was a surfboard.
You think that would cause the, the other mat, the other thing.
But Ruka going for a double pin, not getting it, but her still catching Matty.
Yep. A red.
I'll accept it. Either way.
Ow, ow, ow.
Kind of, kind of given, love it.
Yeah, it's even playful.
Oh, cattle mutilator. Interesting.
Call it, friend.
The former finisher of one Brian Danielson.
And she's doing the loop.
That's pretty cool.
That's a pin. I know she's on, she's face down. Never mind. Right.
Oh, a double submission attempt. Double STF.
Nobody has gone to the penalty box yet.
Well, I think.
Okay, that was pretty good.
Ren stopping soul from tapping out.
Yep.
Which at one hand you give up two points or the other hand it breaks the hold.
Well, no, no, it would only be one point because only soul would have tapped out.
Okay.
Like this, this feels like it's going to be awkward booking.
Yeah, it's going to be awkward booking.
Three quarters worth, excuse me.
Three fifths. So 60% of your match.
Just odd communication. Don't know each other.
We are halfway between the third and fourth entrances.
Uh-huh.
Oh, who'd you are up from?
I do love when they let Maddie.
I'm going to keep calling her Ren casky.
When they let her kind of show that she really is a good technical wrestler.
Because they don't like how many times do they actually let women's performers do that?
Rarely.
So last few years.
Yeah, they tried to do it with Natalia and it just didn't take for whatever reason as well.
Ah!
Okay.
Trading submissions all around.
Uh-oh.
Okay.
There's a lot going on here.
So now we've got the double down into the stretch.
The other thing I find interesting is they've definitely assigned colors for everybody across the bottom.
Mm-hmm.
And it's known as a-
Oh, excuse me.
It's one of those.
I feel like based on their entrance videos, Sinclair should have been orange.
Uh-huh.
Ruka should have been pink.
Julia's was what blue black kind of thing.
We've actually talked about that before too.
Yeah.
It's not really doing well, coordinating those colors.
Well, and I don't- I know it's picking nits.
It's not really something that really matters.
Yeah, but I agree with you though, because it just gives you more consistency.
Yeah.
Less than a minute to our fourth competitor.
Yeah, I think it's going to be for care.
Either you save Zaria for last.
Yeah.
Well, I think it's- whichever one comes out last is the one that winds up winning.
That's- that's my prediction.
I'm- I'mma- I'mma eat in this.
Well, watch that timing.
Not so much on that one.
I know it's weird to say that, but is NXT the deepest women's division in the- in the industry right now?
I would say yes.
All right, we have our first pin.
Julia takes the- the point.
And then Saul sneaking in.
Oh.
We have our next participant coming in right now.
Oh.
Oh, so we are going to save the care for last.
We have Jordan Grace at home.
It's very- she's very Jordan Grace mixed in with a little bit of Beth Phoenix.
Yeah.
That's Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy smash that.
Oh, easy.
Well, no, no, that was- okay, so on the Indies, that was one of those.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Similar to the other champ that we absolutely love, but we can't say on this show.
That is very bright right here.
Well, I was trying to possibly look too far into it.
I was like, why is there an amish in her head?
So Rooka is desperately trying to blow in other rates.
Yeah.
Yeah.
20 seconds from Sinclair back in the ring.
Smart by both of the other two rolling out after the double soul smash.
So she can't pin either one of them.
And Sinclair is clear.
So based on her significant other, do we- oh my god,
poor Sinclair is going to roll right back into the box.
Oh my goodness.
One, two.
Wow.
Sorry, Maddie.
Or does this, but does this set up the underdog story?
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
I'm feeling it too.
It's like, Soul Rooka, Soul Rooka, Soul Rooka.
Everybody pins her, and then she pins everybody else.
But yeah, I think at one point she gets four.
That would be cool.
Smash.
Yeah.
Soul Rook is going to go off the top of that.
Oh, absolutely.
And the- does only her-
What would you even call that?
But only her and Bren would be your high fliers, right?
Vicar can do stuff.
She definitely can fly.
Julia has usually been more of a ground game.
Zarya is more of a power game, but Vicar can fly.
So I wouldn't be surprised if it's two different spots,
one for soul and one for Stephanie.
Also, I still hate the idea of Soul Rooka using the, like, 1984 font on her trunks.
Oh, and Jita Parker's got the GTA thing, though.
Yeah.
Oh, now Zarya free announce table.
Great spot.
Oh, little wardrobe malfunction.
And that's fine.
I'm sorry.
Did you notice Maddie just looking through the glass?
Like she's just peeking over the ledge, like, oh my god.
And Sinclair clear again.
Just to get pinned again.
No, the only person that hasn't pinned her just went through the table.
And you can't pin any of them there.
Oh, the one-
No, it has to be in the ring.
She's great.
I don't know.
She'll be just going to pin her again.
Yeah.
Nope.
Run away.
Oh, right off the other side.
Minute 15 to Stephanie Vicar.
Oh, that was a stiff landing by Julie on the outside on a dropkick.
Oh, here we go.
ACL's optional.
Let's go.
Wow.
That's impressive.
That was about a one-inch margin of for error.
Because she almost got too close to the rope out before the flip.
To clarify anybody listening, Soul Rooka hitting a cartwheel, handspring, backflip over the top rope.
Two, Maddie Renkowski and Julia on the outside, and landing on her feet.
And almost miscalculated the jump.
High-risk high reward.
Here we go again.
25 seconds to 70 for care.
Oh.
Tarantula.
Five, four, three, two, one.
Bring her out.
Bring my horned goddess to the ring.
She said, no horns tonight.
I'm going here.
I'm here for business.
All business.
She's standing on business as the kids say.
Taking up the pace a little bit.
Yeah.
Because now we're on time.
All five competitors now officially in the match and the clock is ticking.
Yob.
And Julia and Soul are the only two to score a victory or a pinball.
I feel like she has to pin Ren at this point.
They're probably not wrong, but that would mean we'd have two more.
Oh, deep dragons grew out of the corner.
Incredibly well done.
And then Julia breaks up the pin.
We get to stare down.
These two women have been up and down the road to get there for years.
Yep.
Sorry, yeah, with the key flea shot.
Did you sell the affectionately coin?
Yes.
Yeah, we still have to get Zarya to get a pin on Ren cows.
Yeah.
So it's all in order.
God.
Oh, nice.
Jump off the ropes into a spear.
Better spear than anybody else on that roster throws.
Yeah.
Julia from behind in the sleeper.
Got it locked in pretty deep.
And there's care now putting the sleeper on both of them.
Yeah, there's no DQs.
Yeah.
Well, no, there is a DQ.
They said in the rules, if you're DQ, it's like a pinball.
Oh, okay.
I thought they were saying that there isn't because multi-person match.
Yeah.
So maybe it's more about the referees letting them go.
Oh, wow.
Okay.
That was impressive.
So Zarya still had the Julia backpack from the real naked choke and threw a cannonball on
her in the corner.
Super cannonball.
Cannonball.
Okay.
Do you have a look at the thing I told you about with Zarya's F5?
She'll throw another one.
Zarya just got her first pin.
Not Julia.
And Julia goes into the penalty box.
Need her to throw another F5 so you can see the block that I was talking about.
And we're going to get turns kicking.
Similar to the same spot we had in the men's match.
Not too dissimilar.
Yeah.
The block here.
Oh.
Oh, interesting on the single leg on both of her and Maddie.
A lot of pinning attempts.
Face buster.
About 40 seconds left on Julia's penalty time.
Deadline signs weird.
What Deadline signs?
The one that's on the back side of the ring on the rail.
It's like the video got stuck or something.
Zarya with a big zine saw.
Oh, yeah.
Like it froze.
Yeah.
But I like this kind of like this shows the sense of urgency that the participants have as we're getting deeper in time frame.
Because we've got less than six minutes to go in this match.
Yes.
What happens if everybody has one when we go to the finish?
Sudden death over time.
Well, like we said, they waited for the next show the last time there was a tie up.
All right.
Double DDT.
Either of our care nor simpler have a pin yet and we are down just about to the five minute mark.
20 minutes.
Our truth gets confused as he's in the match now.
I hate you right now.
Comes out gets rolled up.
Just go straight into the middle box.
That's how you count that.
It'd be a great heel tactic though.
Okay.
Soul Rooka just super kick of Adi Redkowski who landed on Zarya who was prone on the ground.
And it almost was a pinfall.
Oh, God.
Ah, 70% of our care is stopping the pin.
Okay.
Doing these shouldn't get caught.
Well, I was having a moment.
I was like, is she suggesting to work together for the last four minutes or is she saying bring it?
Okay.
Not in that book.
Headbutt city.
I guess that's why you have two referees because you have two pins at the same time they could both count them.
Yeah, that makes sense.
All right.
There's more Samoan.
Oh.
We forgot what we were doing there for a second.
Oh, nice drop.
Sheer drop back drop.
Nice.
It hurts my knees.
Yeah.
But it looks good.
Yeah.
Three minutes to go in the match.
Right now, a three-way tie between Julia, Zarya, and Soul Ruka.
70% of our care.
Ready?
Sinclair.
So the people, those names kind of sound alike.
I'll have a point.
And the other people whose names also sound kind of like point.
Don't have a point.
Yeah.
Okay.
I still want to see the Sinclair just get two quick pins as time runs out.
I just want to see your fall, like literally get knocked out and fall on three of them.
Oh.
Sinclair's been pinned again.
All right.
So now everybody has...
Okay.
So everyone's pinned her.
No.
Somebody pinned Julia.
Zarya did.
Yeah.
Then you know what the crazy part is.
If you look at the time left, Winston clear gets out.
There's just going to be a few seconds left.
You'll be 50 seconds left.
A few for a dramatic effect.
Yeah.
I'm just giving you the exact number.
That they all just wear each other out.
They're all just laying there.
We can knock out.
Count.
Count.
Because really, she only needs two.
That's also true.
90 seconds left in the match.
Oh.
Yeah.
Didn't quite land as far as she should have.
Yeah.
But she's okay.
That's all that matters.
Did she give me the mic so I can say the thing?
Which part?
I'll tell you in ten seconds.
Yeah.
You want me to set it up for you?
Nope.
You don't have to.
But I can.
One minute, one minute remaining in the final period.
Dang.
See?
I want that, John.
I mean, you do know somebody.
I know a guy who knows a guy.
Sinclair comes in and just gets pinned.
One, two, three.
That's why he's got one.
There's one.
And here comes my curve.
Next pin pretty much wins.
Yep.
Referral.
Oh.
One, two, three, go.
Oh.
Zarya with a double spear.
Okay.
Watch her flat back when she throws the F5.
Weird.
Well, she's trying to make it sound good.
There's the knee.
One, two, three.
Julia now has a second point with eight seconds.
Oh!
Five, four, three.
Three nobody can match her now
Matches over Julia wins
Oh, very exciting finish to that iron so both both iron survivor challenge matches with very very well. I feel I agree
So Julia wins your iron survivor and we'll take on Roxanne Perez for the NXT women's championship
We have feet. I wonder if that's going to get the Lowell match show or they're going to wait till New Year's evil
I think we're going to find out on Tuesday. I think you're probably right
But I'm glad that he at least got on the board. Absolutely
It did give us that little bit of hope for the your fantasy. Oh
Great job by all the participants in absolutely very exciting match
Is weird to say that the if I had to rank the matches on this card that the world title was the least exciting
Nope, you that's a thousand percent accurate and it wasn't a terrible match
It just didn't have the excitement factor that everything else did. It wasn't interesting
It was a lot of slop and flop, but that's about it
Poor Matty just getting pinned to every time he comes in
So what you see what I mean with Zarya doing the flatback was the F5 to try and make it sound that went a more impactful and the fact that she times it's impressive to me
I still want the shot when they went through the table and Matty just looking through the glass
They're just every touchdown from every game
And
Interesting story to that
Julian the hurt to pins neither one of them were about care. Yeah
And that's the other interesting thing about my care saying I only needed two more seconds
Julie it's just overselling the victory
No, you know, this is one of those rare matches though. I think I don't I wouldn't have had issue with anyone of them winning
No, not at all like I wouldn't have wanted I think stack rate soul would have been my least favorite pick, but I still wouldn't have been mad at her winning
Oh
Dark demon turned for a care coming
She's not wearing the horns either
Give it time. Yeah, I'm just saying
She's always wearing the horns in my head. Yeah
Yeah
Maybe that's a stat we need to keep to what her record is and she wears the words. Oh, I think this was a one-off because there was no
No shenanigans at the end. No
The whole lot of confetti
That's a lot of confetti close your mouth, please. I don't want to say it like go in your mouth
As we go off the air from Minneapolis that was NXT deadline thoughts
Decent show and imagine like it's the very quick hitting that NXT does well
I do feel like it the title match bogged the entire second half down, but
You know, you have to have a title match honestly. Yep
Would you grade it?
I'm giving a solid B
I'll say it about there too because I gave survivor series a B plus and I thought that show was a little bit better than this one agreed
Oh
Solid booking on both shows
NXT continuing to show that it does things well. Yeah, that it's a a viable third brand
We won't have another plea from them until New Year's evil if that's what we're going to have
But we usually do and that will take place on
January the 7th of all things all patterns continue. Yep
