Welcome to the first one of these we've done in a long time and we're doing things a little bit differently.
Welcome to the deconstruction of AEW full gear 2024 as part of the clubhouse podcast empire as part of the Patreon here on Sunset Lounge DFW.
We're putting this one on the main feed but going forward if you want these it'll be the next here and above I do believe I will check on that.
The father of tears you get all the benefits plus a little bit more what we're going to be doing is we're going to be watching full gear probably on about a four minute delay right now but that's okay because this is live to tape anyway.
But what we're going to do is we're going to get you lined up with the pay-per-view and then we're going to walk you through the whole thing so queue up to pay-per-view mute your TV turn this up and we will get you there now I am not by myself to my right is my co-host and a man who is incredibly comfortable right now he is Alex.
And I am going to get more comfortable as this goes on because I'm going to kick my feet up I'm going to enjoy some time we got some good people in a good room to watch AEW full gear now to clarify our wrestling deconstructions assuming there will be no changes all you have to be is an empire lieutenant that'll make a lot more sense when you start looking at our tiered subscriptions.

the logistics of that would be a nightmare with this thing we're going to figure that out as they go along but right now we are clicking play on AEW full gear twenty twenty four we will watch from the beginning all right so we're going to be black from zero hour now currently a black screen once the action starts we will not tell you where we are because you should be caught up to us at that point we are currently waiting for the disclaimer
to come up which AEW always does as any pay-per-view really does anything as we're waiting up now now we have the warning the anti-piracy warning
and once we get up and running we're not going to do full blown predictions for this pay-per-view but I am going to ask around the room of any cool stuff we expect to see tonight
because as we know AEW does tend to do long pay-per-views but now that they're doing them monthly up black screen now
where I'm wondering how much longer there's the AEW gear full gear logo
full gear logo now we are live in the arena make sure you're synced up with us there's the pyro looks like our first match of the
night will be the four-way dance to take on private party I love that they have gotten so far up the
card now that everybody else enters during zero hour no no private party gets the full regalia and
only on pay-per-view we are live from Newark New Jersey and we're starting with the world tag team
championships on the line I'm not going to yell I'm tired we've got the bottle girls going up the aisle
private party getting the young bucks little central entrance even though we don't have the tunnels on
this one like we normally have because AEW does tend to use a bit of a different stage setup for their pay-per-views
I am happy to see the tunnels gone I I said it for multiple shows now the tunnels are outdated they're
poorly shot if AEW wants to start making some serious headway and be taken seriously as a competitor
they need to up their production value and you know what you would mention this earlier during zero
hour but the stream has been holding well which as we know over the last couple weeks hasn't been a
common theme so hopefully we get a nice clean picture and we don't miss action because of bad cuts
we are watching currently through Triller TV let's be clear on that because if there's any
problems with pay-per-view dot com or whatever we can't speak to that we are watching this through
Triller TV now as far as what's going to happen after the first of the year we know that
January 1 all of the AEW programming including live will stream through max now what that means
is if you don't have a TV provider you will be able to watch your AEW programming live streaming
through max I personally use YouTube TV but we still do not know how shows like this
are going to work they still have not said will they still be pay-per-views will they be using
the WWE plea model or we just don't know I'm assuming we're going to know sometime in the next
six weeks why really I'm curious about is what we don't know why it hasn't been announced whether
or not there's a pre-existing deal with Triller whether there's still a deal with ppv.com or if
there's something that they are having to figure out in that scope and that's why they haven't
been able to say anything whether or not they're still trying to work out like oh no Triller ppv.com
you still get the international feed but most of it's going to be on max anyway so
I think it's going to be kind of like ESPN plus and UFC where oh don't don't tempt me with that
you have ESPN plus you have all these sorts of things but certain things you still have to pay
the 40 bucks 50 bucks whatever it is so go ahead I get that and that would make sense to me
but you know at 50 bucks a pop but it also could be AEW looking at the buy rates before we get
there and going is this is charging 50 bucks for a pay-per-view on max worth it or do we just
roll this up in well one of the rumors that has been discussed is the fact that max paid them more
on this contract to have pay-per-views included now what the real aspect there is we don't
know if it's going to be more WWE model TNA model or an entirely different or we'll call it the UFC
model now one of the things that I would like to point out if it is the UFC model which is the
most likely that Ricardo was talking about you're not getting paying for every pay-per-view
because they have expanded out then more monthly or closer to monthly what you're probably
going to have if it is that UFC model is you're going to have the big shows that you will have
to pay for but then something like World's End would be included see to be that's more the TNA
plus model that is the TNA plus model right you're right because UFC uses it right you have what UFC
tends to do is they still do this yeah but originally you would if you bought a pay-per-view UFC
on ESPN plus you would get ESPN plus free for a year but you still had to pay per pay-per-view
for UFC somebody like me who doesn't pay for HBO max because I get it free with my AT&T subscription
that's where it's going to be interesting as well but we're also we also have a match that's
gone well underway at this point this is a four corners match for the AEW tag titles
gentlemen any thoughts as to who walks out with this I'm going to be daring and say outline
outlanders outrunners outlanders would be more of a Scottish thing no and it's only outlander
yeah I just think that why not just shake it up that's my thing I I like where your heads out on
that one done yeah but this I feel like is one thousand percent your kickoff match because there's
a lot of talented people involved a lot of people can get their stuff in but private party literally
just had this big overcoming of the big villains to get the tag titles if these belts move I will
be shocked but I feel like it would be the instigation of what might become the AEW hot potato
era and for those of us old enough to remember there was a time during the attitude era you
had to turn into raw because the world title was moving every time so I'm wondering if if the belts
move now I'm wondering if that's going to become a more common thread going forward but I don't
see anybody but private party going out on this what about you Ricardo now I need you to also
clarify if your shirt has any bias in your answer no I just want to show you this is my shirt says
scissors me daddy nothing it's hilarious I think during this match the thing we're going to break up
the fans want the outlanders outrunners outrunners I blame Don it's my fault to
uh they're the fan favorites to win this the smart thing is to keep the titles on private party
but we have to remember this is Tony Khan booking that's hunter let's not blow it too far out of
proportion there there is the Tony Khan that the internet loves to make fun of and then there's
the Tony Khan who has shown that he is a fan and likes to take care of his guys so I see private party
winning it but I know the fans want the outrunners to win it I I don't see these belts moving either
it's too soon especially given the lead up to them beating the young box the outrunners are a very
interesting case study because this is not a team that should be as successful as they are
this is a team that is incredibly talented but this gimmick was made to not win
but it's so over when you had people with the old Sega outrunner video game logo
right camera dead center right on the rim which by the way for your reference sir they have
already put away which you are on board with because it is well documented that you don't like
people holding up signs during matches which we haven't seen a lot so far including what we've
watched in zero hour and to clarify I practice what I preach I was threatened to get thrown out
of the metal lands at a giants game because I took somebody sign and tore it up during the game
and I told security bring the cops never got moved but in that same scope information yes
oh no no no they moved people down in front of us who insisted on holding up signs I don't
care if it's your birthday I don't care if you're turning 18 I'm tearing it up anyways but
so what do you mean for me if I can the WWE you said they'll tell you when to pull them up so
what they have started doing as you'll see like on Smackdown they'll have the sign of the night
so what they'll do is they'll cue the crowd to hold up their signs at particular times yeah
to try and limit the obstructions and up until until recently they would actually do that
in a specific commercial break yeah but what they found is by doing this you don't get I mean it's
WWE will always have that level of interference true but it has lessened and I would agree with
you because of we're actually going to give you camera time yeah we're going to give you your
five minutes not 15 but five so yeah people are always going to look at now yeah before we get
too far away from this yeah I like I said I like what you're thinking as far as the outrunners on
this one gone but allow me to say what I think really happens for the outrunners I think they're the
team when it comes time for Dustin and Sammy to lose the tag titles that it's to the outrunners
and they become our awaits yeah I can see that okay and then keep them separate thank you yeah
yes all right we also have two all elite crates to go through because we haven't done this in a while
now yeah you're gonna you're gonna clarify right for always that was about to step on yeah I'm sorry

it is a quarterly crate versus the monthly crate that pro wrestling tees does that we did
for a while but this was when we all got together on a weekly basis so but because we don't
have a studio to go to so we do home shows every week we haven't all been in the same room
during a pay-per-view in many many many many moves Alex and I have been together for some at
ace at a local eatery which no free ads which we may or may not be hoping to bring to the masses
Don and I have been at certain things together but the three of us have not always been around
in the same place at the same time so it was January the rubble yeah it was the last one and then
we did the last one at the dip yeah so the all elite crate the way this is going to work for those
you joining us for the first time I have the crate in my possession currently one of the two
because we're gonna have four hours to kill I will look at the items in the crate one at a time
we're not gonna do them all at one time we're gonna go what at a time Don because he pays for the
crate gets first right to refusal however he has said that during the time where Alex was
buying crates and Don was buying crates they would defer to each other for first right refusal
now that being said Don do you still want to hold that position or would you like first right
to refusal I would do actually I'm gonna be daring tonight if it's okay it's it's your

this is going to be a little more difficult plan you said that Don I was actually going to suggest

and the hundreds of titles and the title he currently holds begins its annual tournament this Wednesday
because it is for the continental classic and this t-shirt which might I say is a little snazzy
is for one kazoochka okada Alex you may now look oh yeah that's definitely a rainmaker shirt
Ricardo you have first rights to refusal refuse don't I'll pass Alex I know I don't like shirts when
they're when their names are I was gonna say I am an okada fan but this is snazzy but it's a real
picture it is verb it's not too many words because most of them are in katakana but I will pass
because it's a real picture of the person so what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to add
this to the swag box because it is a great shirt yeah oh I have no but it is not one that I
feel like I would put in rotation that's a fair space so when we do start doing our live shows again

bucks still written out till after the year until they're done with holidays
signing the crowd max caster idolizes Shelton Benjamin mm-hmm okay very poorly written you should
be no what we're seeing right now is max caster show boating a little bit is this with boons kind
of like hey man what are you doing I believe caster gets a little too big for his riches
goes to join the hurt syndicate they make him believe he's part of it and then turn on it
okay how how villainous do we want the hurt syndicate to be because there is a there's a
there's a very interesting in up we're going for the new day aspect no I was a new way job boss
oh well the first time I was seeing it was and private party braces it first time I remember seeing
it was new day yeah I'm not denying it I'm just saying the first time I saw it well I do know
what don's referencing at the same time especially given that anyways what I was getting at was if
we want hurt syndicate to be truly villainous do we get them an initiation of max where they make
him dress up as I don't know Bobby Lashley sister oh no no no no no no no there's a layer there's
a layer yeah I remember that I remember that said for those unaware there was a time in WWE
where he did max caster max caster played Bobby Lashley's sister this is a true story it is
verifiable you can fight that on the internet and in case you're wondering yes he had the full mustache
yes so I was wondering if that the hurt syndicate was going to be brought up in that conversational
piece but I don't I don't know that you want to go back to that well as max like if you're
going to break up the acclaimed which I still don't want them to because I here's here's my problem
max is not good enough to stand on his own but he's okay on the mic I don't think he's good with
the wrapping but he can speak he can enunciate and go through all of that video and private party
retains hashtag and still yes hashtag and still oh I think oh no I thought I saw our friend
max caster eats the pen after a gin and juice one two three private party retains but again
not shocked because they just got those yelts and exactly because you want to make a transitional
well but not only that you just had the whole thing of if we lose this match we have to break up
so you really have to start rebuilding private party as a team what this does for the acclaimed
will be interesting to see I don't know that we'll see anything tonight but it is going to make a
very interesting story for dynamite on Wednesday it's very new dish I really don't like what they're
doing with the new day right now anyway I just don't break them up please don't I'm not going to lie
I had I had a moment I thought Zayn just kidnapped a child oh it's biggie is he still out he's
still out okay yeah there have been reports that he might be getting cleared soon or even has
already been cleared but is training we do not have concrete on anything yet okay I saw the box
getting messed with so I'm going to leave as we're waiting for the next match to begin let us go to
another item from the crate it is the other t-shirts if this makes it to Alex I am going to
say that there is a very slim chance he passes on it that makes me feel like it's not getting to
me because it has one word okay that's an acceptable number of words this word for those of you

Adam Cole and Roderick Strong both wanted to take on MJF at this particular show MJF put in the
stipulation that they had to win three matches in a row
so Cole lost his third match Roderick Strong won his now they both had one all three it would have
been a triple threat now let's also clarify there was shenanigans to Cole's loss in the form of
the dynamite diamond ring which was given to cash to buy MJF fired on callus
which I would have booked it differently have they both they both won all three
because I wouldn't have made it a triple threat I would have made it a handicap match
oh I like that interesting idea because they both want a piece of him but if you make it a triple
threat then they have to fight each other but you know how you tell that with the handicap match
if I make I hope I'm not cutting you off at all I'm sorry I said it caught okay I wanted to
pause not only do you make it a handicap match but if somebody pins MJF they get dot dot dot
and that way you could put some tension in between Cole and Strong what you could do to tie
into the story they get some kind of an advantage in the next the one on one man or okay in the next
AEW diamond ring battle royale they get to be the Joker there yeah so why do you think they
cold was it injury do you think they did no no no I think we need to take a minute on this road oh my
god it is they aren't Jersey he is an all black and gold on the back the better than you be is the
Bruins logo MJF is just better and it's not a catchphrase now and the trunks a golden white
versus the golden black of the robe yeah well in the other part is is all of it and a banner dropping

they're not like CGI'd in yeah they are legit banners and I don't know if they're reusable like
they got the bottom of the bottom they got a problem holds in them so I wonder if they'll maybe
they hang those out like the nightmare factory or something well if you want they can do is just
actually they probably put it at creative they could they could paint over too that's why I said
are they reusable yeah probably because I wonder if there's also like a thing where you can like
flash clean them maybe but because they're essentially strong also in black and gold see but
here's how you tell that other story if Roderick turns on cold because if we're being totally
honest with the way that household is being booked that's not Roderick's strong that is Mr.
Shafir who's doing the best work of her career career she's not talking no she does every once
in a while but she's the whole vibe with her is different right now well they were just like
you're going to be a menacing killer you don't say anything you just hurt people and when you do
speak Russian that is also there let's see Roderick strong does anybody think Roddy wins this no
I think he does with shenanigans from cold yeah yeah I'd love mgf you know that he's not here
all right I I think Roddy and because a loss for mjf doesn't mean anything yeah I think
cold trust to interfere essentially it's Roderick and mjf picks up the win
I see I was thinking it was more of a he inadvertently distracts Roddy and mjf gets the win
um mjf ducks out quickly takes the powder yeah now let's also let's also clarify there's
technically nothing I'm trying to get it done first up here we go okay so he's now got this
stick but we we can't talk too much because we don't need the audio to bleed through especially with
the words he's probably going to say oh my god the better than you it's all ruined as long as
on his elbow bad oh yeah well you know in plus he's got to run down New Jersey because it's
New Jersey long Island right but don't I I can't have the audio bleed through to this
because we don't have to get flagged okay that's the whole reason we turned it down normally he
just has it in his ear like we used to do yeah I'm still trying to work out the logistics of that

not fans don't like that at all but what I wanted to focus on was the positive yes there's
technically nothing on the line in this match beyond vitriol but if you have Roddy strong
and mjf in a match those are arguably two of your best technical wrestlers in the company
not going to debate it and possibly in this chemistry so I mean there's a reason that both
men in this match have been world champions yep and you and I have talked at length before about
when Roddy strong was ROH champion was the best work of Roddy strong's career and it isn't
close and yes I'm even including the undisputed era or any version of it that he was part of
because he was never the guy whereas when he was ROH champion he kind of was
mjf before mjf I just don't think he went to that extreme like mjf does in his yield him
which still makes me laugh because we know better I just I just want Roddy to stop at the yelling thing
I don't mind the yelling thing I just think he over does it the only thing I like about it
is watching Taven and Bennett react when he does it that's what I'm getting at yes because the only
people who are entertained by the yelling thoroughly are those that are like give me the microwave
there's a tiktok generation mind there's no depth to it it's just funny because it's like out of
it's unexpected so in this yeah we definitely have to talk over certain words being said by mjf
because it's a paper view and so that the rules are a little looser and if he was auto corrected
it definitely would have been ducking yep does it also look like mjf put more tenor from the neck
up than he did the from that down I honestly think this was him going I'm cold I'm not taking off
my shirt but I'll get in the tanning bed yeah just add the spray later but then again you are all
we're also comparing it to Roddy who looks like he's like I know how spray tans work you pour it
in a bath tub and I dive in that's basically it he actually do hair thing a hair surgery mjf
no I think he just hasn't had a haircut in a while no for those that talk or whatever he implanted
hair whatever they're giving them ribs to mjf that's just that's that's an angle for sure that
that was something else leading to a different area area that they realized was going to be very
juice Robinson asked so we decided to skip that all right let's go back to the crate while we're
kind of in a low in this match and rest hold at this point after we do the t-shirts Don has the
decision of what we go to next because every crate has an autograph and a micro brawler
and a pin and up to four items that are just miscellaneous so Don what would you like to go to
let's do the micro brawler the micro brawler is actually a really well done one in this crate
Alex has had to go to the kitchen real quick so we're going to give him a minute to get here
and I'll close the
what I was going to add but I didn't want to yell from the other room real quick and um there
it don't don't start that you're better than that um but one of the things that they have
consistently been really really really good at has been the micro brawlers like we will get
go through crates and we're like that's a really good shirt that one not so much I don't know
that we have had a micro brawler where we've been that's crap this one is somebody who is
actively preparing their return in some very interesting vignettes
yeah they are a newly wed I know it is
and in that in their current gimmick gear it is julia heart as
the princess of the black throne or card do I see it you man
we're going to get the full examination before there's a distinction I'm going to have to call
a guy in for this yeah that's a great pulsar that that's that's a highlight
you know I'm sure I'll take the micro brawlers if you don't like oh nice catch
yeah oh yeah no this is really well done with the hat going through the whole ordeal
has the contact separation I like because he when she first started wearing the hat
it's nearly well I thought they were putting Ellie D's in it oh you did the light on it yeah
but denim when I found out that there's just like it's like like plexiglass but the light hits
it then I'm like okay I'm better with it now so do you know the other thing I really dig with
the brawlers that they do now is when we used to get them they were just in a bag
yep people wanted to protect them so they started putting them in plastic like you would get
action figures different things like that like the old star wars right but instead of having it
so that it tears the way they do the plastic actually will unfold in certain areas okay
Ricardo in case you were wondering like right at the top you can just slide that over slide the
the paper out wow if case you wanted the doll separate but to preserve the doll excuse me
the figure I don't know about action it doesn't actually do anything but you can slide it right
back in and put the plastic right back for your traditional preservation cool I just thought
that that like it's little things like that now you rob and I have long discussed about how
one of our fascinations as Disney adults go pound sand if you have issues as Disney adults
is them figuring out things that you don't even consider cracking the code which at times pro wrestling
tees by extension AEW shop or shop AEW has figured that out like with these micro brawlers
do you see that real fast up yeah
oh so that was a very interesting move as and that was a donkey kick to the face as Roddy
grabbed the top rope and tried to flip over and JFMJF put a boot to the face she's only five four
I didn't know that and he just did the making fun of Adam Cole with him JF baby yep from the second
rope and then took a backbreaker to the Messiah of the backbreaker I wasn't gonna say
for a reason way to do that I don't I think everything else was trademarked yeah it was just a
weird label for this he's gonna go next to my chance Brody King that I found at Walmart
a chase action figure yeah okay because they do chase brawlers too yes that's how a chase
and they also do the chase on the pins too yes they do because I have the one the brisco chase
is it weird that I heard him say chase burger king went on that last part burger I think
I think I'm just hungry but I'm still mad because burger king was my jam and I can't do
anything there you can you have to order on a potato bun I hate potato buns I don't taste
the difference I refuse to acknowledge the seats you can well they just they just redid the
one over here yeah very excited went by there today thinking maybe they got the Coca-Cola freestyle
no dice oh because a lot of burger kings have the Coca-Cola freestyle okay I it's the machine
with the touchscreen and you can do the things I have a question I have a question for you that
actually pertains to this okay and I want to get everybody's input on that bleeding
nothing I think it stands running MJ after the chest oh he's not bleeding no that that is
that is bruising but there is more Tanner going along with that there might be a small scrape
in that scope but it's nothing too bad but MJF just hit what was essentially pages ramp or
sarah formerly page per rampage DDT do you think there's going to be issue or is it because
it's MJ after there's no problem but I hate when they do that no it steals other people's
bits and it makes it like I am preserve your finish and if you're using it allow me to put it

in the style of like Rick Flair on the back of his trunks as tradition is also in the Bruins font
yep were they wrestling it new working yeah so a I believe it's the prudential center yeah which is
the home of the devils who might be the biggest rival or they're the biggest rival may be Boston
which I think is rival is reading boo no no we had boom earlier on this I know I know I think
your jersey devil yeah I there's a part of me that will always respect the devils because of
martin brodoor they they ruin the star's day more than once that's true 2001 that's fine
there's a one what's your conference team that was a great rival you though that was really was
oh that was right there is one that just especially when you get with the person the on
when you call it on defense I guess rolls off of it it just looks really good I remember I saw
clip this was like 10 15 years ago this easily 300 pound wrestler picked up this
hundred pound woman wrestler and did that move and when she hit his knees she's just like bounced
off but look like she like died I want to say I know that clip and it was Candice Loray
it was Candice Loray I believe if it's the same clip I'm thinking of it was Candice Loray now what
most people don't remember Candice Loray is one of the biggest I don't know if we can say a certain
word but it starts with bad and ends with two S's but when she was part of world's cutest tag team
they were doing legit hardcore spots and everything and that's the part that is a little bit
weird with me for her AWE right now is knowing that she can do things that virtually no other
female competitor and half of the male roster can do but it doesn't fit her character nor the
story right now so it's a little bit odd but she legitimately has done some amazing stuff
obviously there is some uh disclaimers of who was the other part of world's cutest tag team
that had some issues but if you can separate they had some really really amazing matches and I
believe multiple tag team championships that were not gender specific uh like pro wrestling gorilla
and down in mexico and various other promotions where they did some amazing work the most common
image that people have recognized from that run was them being held or their hands being held up
by the referee in victory with both both members of that tag team meaning Candice Loray as well
completely crimson mask all the way down her face uh Roddy has tapped out to the salt of the
earth Fujiwara armbar so I like how he lip syncs to the yeah to his do his initials the only thing
I like better than my own initials as me my voice saying yeah yeah works perfectly apparently the
blue meany is greater than mjf according to a sign of the crowd you mean team who meany in the front
yeah well that's not him holding it somebody behind him but they're probably giving their
problem tribute to the bw o mjf now has a share see this is this is the other thing I was expecting was
to heighten the deal because the smartest part about this with cold not being in this match
independent of the fantasy booking which I very much like your ideas around or your ideas on this
one um is the same reason that we see Roman versus Jacob Fatou being held off as a one-on-one because
that is a money match for later oh the still man eyes oh did you uh speak a book return he's doing
an indie gate on the 15th of December and here comes cold shout out Matt Mashler and his
a friend and the rest of the undisputed kingdom there is a sign of the crowd this is remember
Wardlow you're saying you're a qt marshal after thing that boat girl sorry mjf qt marshal yeah yeah
he doesn't do very many indie dates he actually does a lot more than you realize he just doesn't

the big performers in AEW they are fairly uh often allowed to work indie dates at their discretion

O'Reilly has showed up and has pushed cold to the ground
because he's kind of a wild card in this whole thing yeah he is he is the middle ground because
everybody else is technically part of the undisputed kingdom but Kyle O'Reilly is not but he is
friends with all the members of undisputed kingdom even if it's strained like it is with cold right now
and he's with the conglomeration and I love that name yeah I apologize what was I saying before
the sidetrack on that one oh the the indie dates so one of the things is with AEW having
first right of refusal in case they want them to do a spot somewhere they actually don't
advertise it often or widely because there's that possibility of getting pulled off of it
and especially with somebody as in demand is MJF who they can plug and play in an interview at
a given moment he's one of the ones that they're like you can do the dates we're in trying to keep
it under wraps but there's a distinct possibility you're gonna get pulled off to go do a variety
interview or go to do the next thing like in this for this one in Newark there's a billion
outlets in New York and the tri-state area so odds are you want your best talker and MJF is
the best talker on the planet right now I don't care what anybody says I'm not counting Hayman
because he's not an active or an active participant in wrestling but as active participants MJF
number one no question but because you know you can rely on him to sell whatever it is you need
him to sell and do it well he has to be very reserved on it as we're preparing for Mercedes
and Monet versus Chris Statlander Don we have a pin we have a sticker we have two items an

version of the WWE cells called the bleacher creatures the fanatics there is the brawler buddy which
is the term for AEW and then they have the bleacher buddy which is an offshoot of the bleacher
creatures so size changing okay Ricardo pass on Darby done I'll pass Alex I almost said something
I don't know where I love to say but I'll say it starts with Darby is and refers to a piece of
the body and I don't want it okay it will go to the swag box at this point Mercedes-Benz has made
it to the ring without chamele now I want to clarify if that was somebody else that is a high-quality
item and I would have gladly taken it okay but again you don't like Darby I'll tell you

for both belts which I like I would love to see Statlander witness with shenanigans from chamele
costing Mercedes the match because we've been teasing this chamele finally being done with her
for a few weeks now and but as rumors have said and Alex tell me if this rumor has been debunked
or proven I have heard she has that Mercedes-Benz has created control I have heard the same thing there
has been no confirmation but there's also been no denial in that scope now like you were saying
about with chamele costing her I think that your this what this leads to is Mercedes wins proceeds to
continue to be herself to further drive the wedge between her and chamele and then chamele is the
one to eventually get thrown her because as we know chamele brick house not chamele the brick house
right longest reigning NWA champion not named mildrid burr I believe although the belt is named
that is the mildrid yes and I believe for that reason yep but has had amazing matches is very
quality as a performer and has shown herself to be a diverse entertainer and able to do a lot of
things as we have said many many years ago I openly said there is literally nothing about chamele that
isn't main event money not mone money except her speaking voice which has gotten better it has
gotten better she had there has been some learning there but I think there's also when you
even at your worst are the best talker in your household there's that aspect
uh sign in the crowd uh even baby Yoda doesn't like Mercedes oh and then there's free chamele
yeah that's the other side of that sign yeah but at that same time it's I don't want to say
Mercedes is a bad performer or wrestler somebody I actually had a very healthy discussion about
this because I am the one who has repeatedly said Mercedes is the fourth best of the four
horse women and it's not close but somebody who is a very big Mercedes fan was trying to say that
she's not as bad as she looks in AEW it's the fact that she does not get as much work with a lot
of these other women with the way AEW's schedule is structured and that Mercedes is trying to do more
lucha eskmoos or things that are higher degree of difficulty and unfortunately a lot of times
that winds up looking sloppy instead of now my counterpoint in that very nice heart of the outside
off the apron off the apron on statlinder my statement to that is then you shouldn't be trying to
do it for the first time in a live match the only people who should ever ever ever ever be able to
get to do that are four names Shawn Michaels and the undertaker and Randy Orton and Seth Rollins
only two times something crazy has been attempted where they couldn't get it right and they nailed
it live the problem with that though when you talk about AEW is that they don't do house shows
exactly that's that's why I'm saying they're there needs to be a situation where there's no
house shows so they're freed up on other days you know at this level they all either have a ring
have a gym or have a gym with a ring so they have the opportunity to practice and if they don't
I know some people that people through the ring are every day in the name of Natalia Knightheart
and TJ Wilson great heel moved by Mercedes no day counting with the ref at the same time
call me crazy you're crazy wasn't a w attempting to do house shows a little more if they were
and they were called house rules yeah that's okay yeah it lasted like three weeks yeah that they
never did it but even then their house shows were like we're gonna run a Friday or we're gonna
run a Saturday and that was pre rampage in collision now the interesting thing is is when they
didn't do house shows and one of having rampage in collision they weren't happening on Friday or
Saturday because they were recording them now there's a little bit of gray in there depending on
what their needs are or their production schedule stat later not back in the ring
now it is this match but what I really want them to do and this I know this is nitpicking
I want that belt to have the old TBS logo I could see you know what yeah I like the super
station logo that's what I'm talking about yeah that's the one they went to when they went to
very funny or whatever they did I was almost 20 years ago that was 20 years ago yeah oh god

do you do you think part of the reason why she didn't go over as well it's because of how she left

think her having the two belts was a java wwe just no because the new japan thing to me was
makeup because I think she was supposed to win that tournament originally and then when she got
injured in the world night game match I think it was like when you get healthy again we'll put
this belt on you yeah I don't think she should have it because I'm not a big fan especially with
new Japan strong of crossing the streets because new Japan strong struggles enough as it is it needs
it's it's like I feel about ring of honor it needs to be its own thing when you have ring of
honor champions or ring of honor talent that was not good uh on aw and vice versa you're not
giving the people that need that TV time the TV time there's a lot of great talent in ring of
honor that is not getting featured because you keep putting AEW guys on that show and then taking
you meant on our way 20 yeah ring of honor so when you're taking 20 to 30 minutes of your weekly
show playing a classic match which drives me to the brink let ring of honor be its own thing
you like the aerial view it's it's a weird camera because it's a weird video quality
I like to from the roof why not TNA did a really good job with that in some of my favorite matches
of all time and it was that best of seven when it was beer money and motor city machine guns
they used that angle a lot do you remember what they called it W or F by the beginning of the day
that that camera angle from the top the why we call it it wasn't yeah yeah what

but when you weigh 64 pounds and all you do is ragdoll yeah it makes it a little bit easier
but if you really want and I this was my other note if you really want to see how real talent
makes others look good even when it's difficult number one watch that crucifix mini bomb that
statler just sold but go back and watch battling the valley from new Japan between willow night and
gale and Mercedes-Benz because willow conservatively might outweigh Mercedes by 200 pounds but bumps
and sells so incredibly from Mercedes you don't even think about that separation
do we see her tonight I hope so I love willow because she's I don't think she's cleared yet
well you and I had the fantasy booking of we want statler to win this and then the next program
to be willow having her back against menei on any kind of return but it's like we're

name full gear because full gear was the joke on Adam page because the young bucks were calling him
chunky during the BTE segment so he wasn't ready to be in full gear okay so that's why full gear
became his crowning paper view when he finally beat Omega but I believe it was after revolution okay
and the reason I say that is because with full gear being the Adam oh nice use of fire in the
fire row um I love they should have had a chair for him but I do they should have had a chair
they still use that footage of the burning house yeah on the big drawn yeah um but to clarify because
revolution was where you had moxley's lights out match with Kenny Omega it's where you had your first
heavyweight title change between Jericho and Moxley uh so I feel like revolution was the second
one they did because it was about a six month gap from all out which or excuse me it was a six
month gap from all out which they did after double or nothing because double or nothing was the first
technically all in was the first right it wasn't under AEW at that time then you had all out then
I believe revolution I think full gear was the fourth one okay uh I could be totally wrong on that

has been closed okay it could revisit it absolutely they had a great program and as we know with
wrestling give it six months and you're an entirely different person uh but i feel like adam page is
what's the word rudderless at this point because he's kind of fit into wherever but with him losing his
mind and still being over with the crowd i could see him just being the fallen angels mercenary if you
will aka is fam and just let him run rough shot over anybody that's getting in the way like he is
the ace in the hole for Christopher Daniels who has issues with the elite oh that's not the
ditch no it's the dead eye okay i was hesitating because i was wondering if they were selling something
on the knee landing since he's been injured on the knee uh dead another one yeah

model or the ufc model tnm plus is really the better model description there where you have multiple
pay-per-view style shows but they are not charged for unless they're one of the big ones
now for us sure that diminishes the importance of certain other ones but i think we can all agree
double or nothing all in all out however you want to talk about that uh full gear and revolution
are your big four yeah and those are the ones you would definitely have as a pay-per-view
whereas everything else might be lower what were you thinking i'm just i said going into this match
of Kyle Fletcher doing his best Randy Orton he literally just did the ddt off the middle road

has always been the industrial with the yellow and white in the logo if the gear is
for both face and heels is trying to mimic a color scheme so you could say that's the full gear
outfit and different aspects like that whereas you might get more of a red and black with double
or nothing because that's their color scheme on the pay-per-view i'm wondering if there's something
we've overlooked because it is well and the full gear and the full gear logo is golden black and white

up signs should be doing it in front of the railings so they're not blocking people's beer

engaging and open people on that they were two of the first people we ran into on the cruise i
believe they were the first two you're probably not wrong with it was on the deck after we had
gotten our stuff into our cabin yep oh and we had come up to the pool deck because they were
going to start doing some of the the matches mm-hmm and they were just hanging out yeah they were
just hanging out talking to everybody and the funny part is is i don't know that we would have
recognized because he was wearing a hat mm-hmm but i remember not thinking out loud but going
that girl looks a lot like finale before and that's because it was
and that's one of the things i thought she was taller the one of the yeah i would be too but
that's one of the things i really liked about the cruise i i've heard that that cruise does not
exist anymore but let me finish now about that cruise which i think separates it from some of
the other themed cruises mm-hmm i've never seen a report from a themed cruise like that
where people have talked about how just accessible the talent really was and i selectively but still
on the average yeah on average absolutely i still continue it was impossible not to run into
booker yeah well i still contend we were eating breakfast right next to dawn callus and we didn't
i didn't realize it's like a month ago and that he was the guy in the tuxedo that was an MVP
thing that we were like who's this guy in the tuxedo sitting back here with these two slubs
i think that was time callus i don't remember him being on that boat but it could have been
but i loved it just even with the photo ops it wasn't like there was a level of cattle hurting to it
yes but not like i've seen in other places yeah well and i think part of that was the fact that
that was the time where it was like hey if they're available and they want to take a quick selfie
that's okay to ask but remember they have the right to say no but you will have the opportunity
in this setting where you would get in line and there was the hurting aspect and where the
culmination or the origin story of jack perry versus Alex Barnhill began and then jm versus me
i don't know if he was against you at that point he didn't have a problem he was just telling you
the rules but i still i still need to go on a non themed cruise to compare and contrast i have
the exact same note i i need to see what that is like and i will i i hate saying it but like
that first cruise the way they had it laid out the fact that it was so new and they didn't quite
know what they were doing worked perfectly for me because i didn't oh the closest i had hardest
part of the ring uh backdrop on the apron by jack perry to daniel garcia who is going to talk to
daddy magic with the 1992 bell bimbo bow jacket checking in fat effron here we go
but uh anyways but with the first cruise they they overlapped a lot of their scheduling so you had
to make the call of did you want to do a or did you want to do b and what that was that was
the table that was supposed to be next to the ramp ramp the unforgiving recycle bin with
wrapping paper up poster to uh anyways but the thing is with that first cruise it let it
it set it up that you had people that were deciding to go to one place and people who were going
to another place and a lot of there was a number of those people that were complaining that they
couldn't do both and it was like go on the next cruise but instead because six men cares so much
about their people and wanting them to be happy and Jericho to an extent wanting the people on
its cruise to be happy they made sure to set up the structure of the scheduling where there were
less things happening but that they did not overlap so that people could go to quote everything
which I actually think heard it on some level because you wound up with so much
for lack of a better term overpopulation at certain events and it was it really was exhausting
exactly and that's why I was saying like you could go to different wrestling parts like
I was explaining to you how it was so much easier to get a good vantage point for the wrestling
because people were going to a show or a stand-up routine or different things because it was
sunlight and they were just burnt because they were on a cruise and we had gone to the Bahamas
or whatever reason they wanted to be doing something indoors so it allowed the other people
to be able to get good vantage points that's where I made friends with Brad Williams because we
were able to sit basically in the front row for some matches with SCU and then you had other
aspects where they did get very crowded because it was the last wrestling event and there was
nothing competing with it or because it was when they were doing the sea of honor tournament
and that was going to be on uh did they have a term for that R.O.A.D was on honor club
honor club I drew a blank on honor club but yeah they did stuff that was a show
so you had more people going there but because of different aspects overlapping
you never had that moment where it got too overbearing the way it has from what I'm hearing on
every cruise after it yeah which is getting ready to happen here soon I believe that's February
yeah it's the what six one six on the beach yep hey I oh no they've done that with all of them
I know I know yeah uh so I was on the I was on the first two and had a wonderful time on both
even though I still feel guilty about creating a cacophony of snoring you don't have to we talked
about this we talked it through was you'll start in the singing of Judas yes yes we did it first
the first cruise was like a cruise that was the second cruise uh started the singing of Judas
that was the first title change in the company's history as well was on that second cruise
that was the tag titles and going from SCU to hangman and omega and then three weeks later the
world shut I do too I I very much miss SCU but you know he's still in the company um score
sky yeah he's he's still under contract but they got nothing for him right now that's you know
what put him in the air business send a kid send a kid yeah uh no I I said that a few weeks ago where
I was like I need my dude to be doing something do I need to put a sticker over my necklace now
to turn that be into an s or do you just add an s so it's the hurt yes
we got those like they had just put those out on the cruise when I bought the first two wasn't it
they didn't have them out yet I literally walked in saw it in a bucket
and they were like oh yeah MVP selling these and I want to say I grabbed them for you
because I was I wasn't gonna buy them and then they were like you know both for 40 bucks and I was
like this this is happening yeah that's right I said I was going to grab them for you but I didn't
know and then I took the picture that you have and then we had to when we had to take one of them
back and exchange it there was something wrong with one of them like the class didn't work yeah
that's right the chain wouldn't and they had no issue just giving us another one which I thought
was great hey customer service yep I mean it's not like they're not making the money
and Tony con what MVP do is one man show please oh my god yes most valuable prisoner so good
and that's where I made friends with chavo very very chavo has to be there absolutely I heard
the insight interview with Christian Bleigh with chavo how he get a line on MVP show just
people trying to take photos with him we were there oh we were there and the phrase from MVP we cannot
say on air talk off air yeah we cannot say it on air but I laughed so hard chavo mentioned
an interview so we were the we were the fourth row yeah so after that show we were out in no I was
out in the hallway and you had very drunk very drunk jack swagger oh slow and moderately drunk chavo
boo for the low blow every time every time he had a comic because swaggering him are are friendly
and we're just going back and forth yes he kicked out give it time uh so you had the aspect every
time and chavo was cold he was okay so the the big change from the first cruise to the second
cruise and by us talking about the cruises instead of this match tells you how much jack berry sucks
but yeah I said it but that's part but for those that have never been through this before this is
not abnormal for when we do deconstruct yes we go off the beaten path because it gives us a chance
to tell some of the stories yeah that we don't get to tell on the normal show because of time
constraints so I have rumble stories but the biggest mistake that they made with the cruise in my
opinion the first one took place over Halloween yep and they had theme nights and everything and
that's when uh hurricane became one of my favorite people just because I could not stop laughing
the man had the entire wardrobe not a replica had the entire wardrobe from coming to America to
be prince hockey prince I came hurricane hurricane did he had the wardrobe to be prince I came
and he he spent the entire night walking around and if he was trying to get through a doorway
and somebody else was there he would just go oh and put his hand up like I came into the
and I'm not gonna lie I had had a couple of drinks and I played the body by Jake
and he was the only time he broke character but you had SEU entirely dressed like they were from
pulp fiction oh wow and there was a whole bit of sky and Christopher Dales arguing over who got
to be Sam Jackson and then to close the entire he's the one that had the hair um
um but in that same scope for the last set of matches that was not for tv or anything they had
uh impact because it was impact at the time versus real bar I want to say the elite at that time
oh was it because I think it was just the elite but all of the elite were in mario themed costumes
so Cody who was with the company and was the new japan was the new japan uh us champion came out
full bowser and I cannot remember but I believe sharp shooter yeah I believe brandy came out as daisy
okay because uh max wife and I apologize for getting her name
ruby what are Matt Hardy no no Matt Hardy was with a different company at that you said Matt
that was Matt Jackson oh okay his wife whoa oh tap tap tap tap tap tap new champion new champion
new champion suck it Jack Perry we have a title change we have an actual title change on the
paper view I had a moment I had to wait and he wanted clean yeah with a sharp shooter
with a deep well that was the dragon slayer sharp shooter that he coined on uh
brine danielson where he removes the actual sharp shooter old to pivot to hold with the lean back
but anyways so you had all of that the the the young box were mario and Luigi
omega was towed he's a bowser that was Cody that was Cody Cody Cody come on okay yeah um towed
but they they did the whole thing and the result of the match I will never stop laughing at because
everybody and I was like and you're winner everyone but semi calla head because semi calla head was
doing the the heel bit and for the record another ohio pass for me because that man was absolutely
awesome well documented on the show well documented on the show but he wanted going with the full heel
and on team impact you had what was he going but I what was john morson going but johnny impact
because he was their champion at the time yeah up next to kester ricochet uh you had brine cage
who I will never get the image of him pushing a stroller out of my mind uh on a cruise ship no he's
so big yeah he couldn't fit in the hallway uh but everybody else that was from impact were just normal
wrestling I want us they did not adopt j-lethal for that one but there was a black bichismo um oh no it was
it was priceless uh but team impact were not in costumes or whatever but calla hand was starting
to do the heel thing of getting mad at his own teammates so he literally took I want to say
14 or so super kicks in a row one from everybody on the elite one from everybody on team impact
and then everybody else stop piled on semi calla head Marty Marty was part of team elite too so it
was a five on five oh who did marty dress as oh he came out as um as wario because villain yeah um
um but it was it was so much fun uh and calla hand had actually gotten the win the night before in a
deck fight but so it was squirrel or marty squirrel and sammy calla hand yeah that wound up in the pool
and because of it don't call us was on the first one because he's the one that cheated to cost
the marty oh ricochet kicking it old school a little bit a little bit okay he's got a little bit
of the uh well not wearing black and gold was really he's wearing out of devil's colors
I was thinking that he was just stealing Bailey's wardrobe but I feel like they need to get away
from the R as the logo of out of this world as stupid that is never been a good phrase since 1962
but no but that for his reminds me of uh the man gravity forgot
it's endless lives it is but I would still take that over out of this world um but there was just
there was so much going on that last night and that was the only segment going oh that was also the

wrong they have tons of talent their stories need to get better their production has actually been
much better tonight but it still has issues yeah got overhead cameras so it looks like bad YouTube
videos yeah and I honestly I wish there was an easy fix because I want AEW to be a true competitor
like the Monday Night Wars but I don't know that it will ever get there I think it would have
Tony will give up the book do you think so do you think that that has to happen or do you think
that there's other things that could get them there that has to happen okay so that is is that
the only thing though no because honestly what it starts with the booking allow me to put it in
this context I don't believe Tony Khan needs to give up the book what I think needs to happen is
he needs to let go more and let his producers go from a to b like he says what he wants because it's
his company I'm good with that but if you I'll put it in this context you can drive to my house
from here it's 40 miles you're gonna get there one way or the other yeah but I'd much rather do it
in something like a Mercedes than a fiat there's nothing wrong with a fiat but it's going to be a
smoother ride and more enjoyable in something that is better constructed now they both make vehicles
so it's still a to b now in that context you have the replacement booker who tells you what's
happening Tony Khan is also telling you what's happening but I think he needs to step back
let producers do more and focus on hiring good production people because the biggest issue I have
always had with AEW is stuff like this okay I get you want to look at ricochet getting up on the
top turnbuckle but why am I staring directly into your lighting rig and also it's enough to take
an hour and a half so if you want this exact shock rotate to the left side of the post done
that's all that's literally all you need to do there's the problem with this camera is also the fact
that it's terrible the resolution oh no no that was good has yeah WWE does that series about

not counting zero hour this is this is one of those times where I feel like a producer needs to get
involved but it's a great example ricochet just got absolutely annihilated for five straight
minutes on that and he can just hop up to the top ropes with no ill effect I feel like there should
have been like somebody to tell Rick Mr. Oshay to struggle a little bit you just got your head
knocked off multiple times yeah you just took a full rotation German off of the ropes take a hint
from the video games you have to have recovery exactly yeah I mean there's nothing wrong with him
getting up to those top ropes but the fact that it nullifies every bit of that impressiveness the
five minutes before okay ricochet and by the way ricochet if you're gonna do the motion or
you're putting a clip in a gun you don't spin the barrel just saying I didn't take that as
spinning the barrel I took that as cocking because he went like this on the side oh he went back I
think he so it was popping right hammer see it looked like he was spinning the barrel see I
think we saw it going two different directions okay because from that angle with his hand coming
down I took it as the hammer going back you took it as the spinning of the chambers and he kicked
out of that I missed what oh was that the to catch the version of storm zero basically kind of
sort of do you think with the amount of like Canadian destroyers and stuff like that where they
hop up immediately they need to work under something well and but and we've said this for years
I remember a time where if you got DDT didn't get up for three days and you never got it outside yeah
yeah but look at like don't do me now the something has got a lot better now I want to clarify
like this is another one where I see oh nice okay I see it as a different scope than selling so
let me clarify what I'm saying and I want to see if it's the same as what you're talking about
because everybody on this card knows how to sell ricochet can sell ice to Eskimos to make
somebody look good yeah what I think they need is not necessarily learning to sell as much as
learning to tell the story of with the sale like it you could sell great yeah but I think where
you're talking about is strategically timed return versus like for you it would be selling the
continuation yeah for me I think they know how to sell it's more on the lines if they need to
understand structure better this is where that production and producers come well in WWE has
the same problem too and they do but you can tell with certain producers who know the negative
space rule when it comes to wrestling the biggest one I've seen lately nice pal can arrow off of
the ropes that's got to do it two three yeah but the ones that you you want to look at and I love
doing this because it's an interesting thing for me I try to avoid spoilers as much as possible
but what I want to know when I'm washing matches is who the producer was because one of the things
that you'll see you were talking about WWE getting a lot better you know who's been a big part
of that behind the scenes Bobby Roode yeah Bobby Roode never the strongest never the fastest
good character never great character but he knows how to put the whole picture together so for him
there's a lot of and I believe it was all this who mentioned it where he was talking about the
crazy thing with Bobby is he is also teaching at the same time as producing and as you know you never
stop learning yeah so what Bobby would take the time of of like okay here's the spot we're going
to do this is why we're going to do it this is how it's going to fit into the story but what I need
from you is when this happens listen for a cue whether the crowd is owing an eye whether they're
doing this and this is how you respond whether it be the slow crawl or it's one where you hulk up
for lack of a better term and Bobby Roode has been very instrumental on talking to his talent
with those in mind yeah so what you'll see is immense growth with a lot of different talent that
they've been using I believe he has been almost strictly the dedicated producer for LA night stuff
and you notice LA night has even gotten better yeah the people around him have even gotten better
whether it be just something like I'm going to call him umberto because I refuse to call him
what they're calling him now umberto who is a younger very good oftentimes flippy talent but you'll
see him take something more technical and more of that growth into it yeah so the big one on that one
if you look at I want to say it was this past Smackdown or it was the Smackdown before when they have
the face off with LA night and he is the one that hits night in the ring instead of just diving
into it he had a moment where he paused and would jaw and give the crowd time to react versus
jumping into it yeah because you could see him go from okay this is the beatdown moment so I got
to hit him and go but you see him pause was that a shirt was Jericho walking in from
they had somebody looked an awful lot like Chris Jericho walking in so if you watch that there's
that moment of letting the crowd understand and breathe which is something that Triple H has
harping on but what is going so is wearing a mask of himself no
is that George Floyd no no there was gold teeth that was him it was because it was the same grill
but that was his little sting dedication I guess maybe yeah because he's on the side of his
trunks too who is it's himself is that mask yeah yeah it's the same truck yeah

the gist but we're really gonna do this to swear since he's been with MVP though he has gotten better
now to clarify that's I don't even know that he has gotten better as much as Bobby can't talk
a lick and again I caught myself on that one yeah he's not a great professional wrestler if you
talk about like amateur ability and shoot Bobby lashley is the exact kind of modern version
that needs somebody to come along that does for him and it should be MVP but they're busy working
a more slick deal here but at some point somebody needs to do for Bobby what Hayman
did for Kurt Angle now for those of you that don't remember Kurt Angle was running the gamut
as a joke for a long time in wwe at one point because he was willing to make fun of himself he knew
he was a phenomenal exactly the ukulele yeah and all those things but when they didn't know what
to do with him was when they had wwcw and Hayman went you're a gold medalist you could literally
have a real fight in wrestling form we need to make you a shoot pit fighter and just lean into that
you don't need to change your bit you just have to go out and absolutely annihilate people
more aggressive exactly and Bobby lashley has those same skill sets I mean he's not an Olympic gold
medalist but he's a multi-time army champion and that's some high praise did you just roll into your
water or did you knock it over and lay in it yes he was actually a champion in Belator
but that's what I'm saying he has those legitimate skills to me good way to put it to me he's never
been interesting in professional wrestling because he is a legit fighter but when you get to
wrestling and you're trying to make him look slick or smooth it looks clunky he is Lenny to MVP being
George if this was of mice and men he's just a big group if you were doing this correctly
you'd either find a young guy to put with the hurts and to get like let's let's find
us he booked a different timeline swerve is a star swerve can talk swerve can entertain and swerve
can wrestle he can go technical he can go high flying he can get into a bit of a brawl as we saw
at the Adam Bay stuff yeah Bobby Lashley can't do any of that he can throw people around he
should be your muscle in a group behind a better talent now if you're talking about the hurts
syndicate right now yes Shelton Benjamin is a little bit older but you know what he is one of the
best wrestlers to ever live true so Shelton's problem was he struggled with talking
but he could do all the other things like swerve does yeah so if you want to put it together
because we were talking earlier about a guy like Jay White who benefited from New Japan
Shelton was already good he found other gears going to Japan and being part of Suzuki Goon
with the murder grandpa Minoru Suzuki yeah so he figured out how to do more
and his best work in my opinion was while he was in Suzuki Goon with Japan
even if he was stuck in tag team matches or things like that because he realized
he could get a little bit more snug with the stuff that while he was the gold standard
may have looked a bit more comical yeah now that's why I say in this variation of the hurts
syndicate MVP is the brains and it's not even close he could do everything as well but he's
gotten to the point where he can still go he could still wrestle he could still grapple
but he's not going to put on a showcase match with all due respect to MVP he's not going to be
able to do that he's just passed that point okay so so you have MVP as the brains and the mouth
that's the one thing he could still absolutely do any given time Shelton Benjamin can still
wrestle anyway you want but doesn't talk Bobby Lashley is a bruiser that is the end of his list
right now serve as the guy that can do all of those things or they need a fourth member to be a
true main event guy with MVP as your mouthpiece Bobby Lashley and Shelton as your tandem backup
so who currently on the roster other than Swarth would you want to put with them that's a great
question and honestly I could see a situation where you use somebody like Ricochet but Ricochet
can't talk either so he'd benefit from MVP but he's the younger hotter talent for me I think I
would I don't know if I could do it in the company I have one go for it it's going to be a project
okay Anthony I go go I see where you're at I actually had a fantasy booking with him in
regal year two years ago three years ago where I was talking about a before blackpool combat club
was a thing yeah I was talking about having regal do an entire like euro stable during the pandemic
with Anthony and go go as his prized pupil to teach him those different aspects the problem with
the go-go is he is Bobby Lashley he is Bobby Lashley for striking whereas Bobby Lashley is wrestling
so I like where your heads at with that one because he's a good looking kid he can talk a little
bit because he's been trained for press conferences and whatnot yeah but he is a massive massive
project so what about actually do you want me to give you a different one that might surprise you
I go ahead I think of someone else but go ahead oh no I I think I know who you're going to go with
so I'll say mine and then do you want me to try and guess yours go party okay the first one I'm
talking about uh-huh Mark when a future split up private party Mark when can talk a little bit he's
never been the mouthpiece because they always has been but Mark when can wrestle yeah any way you want
he's got a good look he's got good size he's not too dissimilar to sort of Strickland but in a thicker
package okay so he's a bigger-bodied wrestler now the one I think you're going to go with it's in
that same vein would be Bowens but Bowens does check those boxes as well because if you want to tell
that story you have MVP walk up to Bowens and be like look at you your big strong athletic can
go for hours in the ring you could beat anybody with the right tutelage but you are stuck in a
comedy act with a guy who says he's better than you and does not take you seriously that's how
you tell the story of getting Bowens into something more serious because Castor like I said before
he can talk but he can't wrestle every style the way that Bowens can so who are you thinking
real rush no the problem with Leo rushes he's an head case and he only knows how to do flippy do
let's hit you more wrong let's have to this match okay because I'm probably going to go after
but yeah in that same vein I'm I'm thinking of somebody who is outside of the scope who can become a
world champion now yes Bobby has been a world champion I it worked it made sense in the hurt
business I have no issue and that's a perfect example Bobby was slow getting to his spot he had
to literally break to jump over to be where he was supposed to be for Swerve now is there an aspect
where Swerve should have probably been watching for something watch how he has to move yeah it's
the point there what he should have been was one more step from being sideways to like he's sitting
on the desk so all he has to do is lift his head to the spot he was out of place
now obviously that is nitpicking but at a level where somebody should be a world champion
and let's be honest I think we all think lashly wins this are we there's that true I think
lashly wins I don't know that I don't know that kid the house call house call yeah that's one of the
most I think the way my favorite person to take that is uh oh no Osprey but like like we said before
Osprey can sell ice to Eskimos yeah there's no problem there now we all think lashly wins this
but what we're doing in that same scope and let's make sure there's a kick out
yeah what we're telling in that story is that lashly is now above your not last champion
but the person who was very recently your champion so you're telling me by that booking
that lashly is world champion level and I don't buy it now like Rob was talking about with the
hurt business and currently with MVP MVP makes lashly more credible in almost every way
obviously you can't change him being a big body performer who can throw people around
but MVP does legitimize a lot because you believe MVP as having the interest as a manager
you believe in MVP in making people better because it makes him money oh but that's what Bobby
lashly does he's a big dude who can throw people around let me ask you this and has the worst
spear in the history of wrestling and yes I'm even including the Rizzler
who's the Rizzler because I'm a bad kid at the beginning no the Rizzler was the kid that ringed
the bell they're the same spirit the spear came from the sun they're the same people
okay but that's the concept on a manager's point
would you put MVP up there with Paul him in no no that's that's an echelon on to itself
Heyman is closer to he and then he is to anybody else but for right now because it is such a thin
field if you remove and if you remove Heyman as a manager remove him from the picture MVP is at
the top of what's left or near the top of what's left but Heyman is such a creature unto himself
in a management advocate wise man category it's entirely different ball games there's the
spear and let's do a flippy-doo because reasons and now to what used to be called the hurt lock
still is is it yeah they're still calling it the hurt lock there it is you have to just set it
yeah because here's the other problem I have with this not only were we telling Lashley as
beating a recent world champion we're talking about him making that man unconscious
oh when did J.R. come out probably before this match yeah well Bobby Lashley is one of his
two is one of Jim Rawls he'll probably do the main event as well yeah
like I wish there was another person in there but there it's just gonna be Lashley no because it's like
there is no way another person in wrestling will have that physique or that size in that scope with
the ability to do what he does from a wrestling standpoint but it's not interesting does
Nana bring Wardlow into his employ to help combat this because I can't think of anybody else
I that you would put because you've got cages in the Don Callis family uh so you know he's out

the match where if I believe first I lose no I thought it was a it was a ladder match it was okay but
they went through all these different things where it's like okay so if I escape the cage I win

walks it right it was the the exact words where I'm not gonna do well at this and the funny thing is
because when his music hits everybody in the match and there was like a solid seven or eight people

a ladder lays it on the ground stands on the flat ladder and yeah but the nothing will ever
top that promo before everything started because he was so look the funny thing is he does
ridiculous things we acknowledge he does ridiculous things and we know this is predetermined
so settle down because he can he can literally wrestle any way you want except for a power game
but at that same time it was just one of those where he was so believable oh my he's a little too
oh yeah that was a little snug yeah um but what you had with that
aspect was the fact that it was just one of those where you were like even with our truth no
matter how ridiculous it is there's that little bit of believability but you're already laughing
because you know it's going to be silly with Cassidy it was early enough with him on that one that
you were like no but it was one of those where it was like is he just playing this off the cuff
or did he write this down because it was so natural and so smooth I couldn't tell now I want to say
I was the first one that showed you the video of orange Cassidy was on YouTube we had different
highlights from him it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen into this day still makes me
laugh even though I've watched a billion times I was about to lose our second that was part of it
