And that's what I had to say about that.
Joining me across the desk is he tends to do.
And that is no exception to that.
He is a man who's had a heck of a weekend.
He is my co-host on the show. He also helps produce it. He is chat.
Thank you sir.
Glad to be here as always.
We will have a guest joining us in a little bit.
I just got a phone call from our third chair tonight running a little bit behind.
But we will have a third chair shortly.
But until then we're going to kick it old school for you.
We're going to get right into corrections.
In correction slash apologies. I guess it's what you could call this.
We want to apologize for those of you that listened in last week.
And couldn't hear the Eustrine feed.
Eustrine servers crashed.
It was a debacle.
But the show was still recorded.
It is available on iTunes.

Of course we'll be dedicating next week's show to him as well.
As will be the first paper view since his passing.
But we're going to talk about that more in just a little while.
Also, if you are listening live.
Go ahead and register via user here on you stream.
If you're listening to us live, you can give us feedback in our chat room.
Which we really appreciate.
Oh, we will get some more of the Empire joining us here shortly.
Other than that, I'm not sure.
I mean, there was some digging that needed to be done.
But I didn't do the digging, so I can't give you with the corrections actually.
Okay. So let's go ahead and get into.
And then to NASCAR, but for us to get into NASCAR, we're going to just not do any music at all.
Because I don't think that any of our NASCAR music.
Is going to be appropriate for this first story.
Late last night.
About two hours north of where today's NASCAR race took place.
In Watkins Glen, Tony Stewart was writing on a dirt track.
And apparently one of his fellow drivers and his name.
I really don't want to put out there if you want to go find it.
I don't know that it's appropriate to name this person at this point.
Lost control of his vehicle.
Got out of the vehicle on the track.
And was apparently trying to get into a confrontation with Tony Stewart or somewhere near him.
And Tony Stewart could not get out of the way in time and ended up striking and killing this young man.
And passed away at about 1115 local time last evening.
Originally, Tony was going to go ahead and run the race today, but then he reconsidered and by about mid morning had decided not to be in the race, which we greatly respect.
This was just one of those things.
There's no blame to be placed. There's no fingers to be pointed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with both the family of the victim as well as Tony Stewart's family.
He has to deal with this.
He has to live with.
And say what you want to about Tony Stewart.
You don't wish this kind of thing on anybody.
And our love and respect go out to everyone involved.
And we're just going to take a moment and just have a moment of silence.
Before we actually get back into NASCAR for both the family of the victim and for everyone involved in this deal.
It's a terrible, terrible accident.
And no one likes to lose anybody.
Just send our thoughts and prayers out to the families.
All right, let's get back into NASCAR.
So today was the cheese at 355 at the Glen.
Now I'm a fan of the cheese.
I'm a huge fan of the cheese.
It's just sounds funny to me.
We've had auto race names in this deal.
This is true.
Let me give you your top 10 finishers from Watkins Glen today in number in the 10th place spot.
Starting in 12 is in the number 55 Toyota is Brian.
No, my family did not invent coffee drops of vickers.
9th place in the number 20 Toyota starting in 8th was Matt Kensif.
Jumping from 28th to 8.
Wow, started in 28th finish in 8th place.
Greg, no, my family did not invent the backyard game with the plastic ball in that bifle.
And the number 16 Ford.
7th place dropping from 4th to 7th in the race was in the number 4 Chevrolet Kevin Harvick.
Joey Logano goes from 11 to 6 in the number 22 Ford.
Carl backflip Edwards starts in 16th winds up in 5th in the number 99 Ford.
Kyle Larson starts in 23rd and winds up 4th.
Wow, in the 42 Chevrolet bronze metal goes to Kurt Bush starts in 5th winds up in 3rd.
Starting in 2nd finishing in 2nd Marcus Ambrose.
No, he is not machiled.
In the number 9 Ford and winning the race today.
And the number 47 Chevrolet starting in 6th and finishing 1st AJ Almondinger.
Another one of my favorite names to say a NASCAR.
So no new.
No, no, I knew.
But I did a little work for the show.
We do it for the kids.
We talked last week on the show of how many people are already in the chase because as you know, we've changed rules in the chase this year.
And so we had to do some digging to find out because if you win a racer automatically in the chase.
Now if you have got multiple guys that have won the same number of races.
Then you have to go by the point standings to figure out what's why.
Okay, so I went through I went through the results from every race so far this year.
Put them in order and as you see on your run sheets or this is the order things go in right now.
So you have managed to make heads and tails of this as best I can.
Okay, now I could be a little bit wrong here, but I'm sure that the empire will let me know if there's a problem.
Right now there are.
13 guys that have won races. We have four races left until the chase starts. So there's only three slots left in the chase right now.
Okay, and those will be determined by the the point standings.
College football. Are you hearing me.
They may be hearing you, but they're not paying attention.
So in, you know, with AJ Almondinger winning today, that's his first win of the year, but from a point stand point, he's like 23rd or something.
So he's right now at the bottom of the pack.
Above him would be Kurt Bush above him would be Eric Almerola.
I feel like every time you say his name, you want to go in my baby.
When my baby falls me, I go to Rio. I don't know why I just do it.
Right above him would be Kyle Bush.
Clint Boyer above him. Denny Hamlin above him. Kevin Harvick.
Then Carl Backflip Edwards. Joey Lagano. Jeff Gordon.
Six times six times six times six times six times six times six times six times six times six times.
Spring Cup champion Jimmy Johnson, not the other Jimmy Johnson.
Brad keselowski and Dale Earnhardt Jr. is your current number one seed in the chase, which probably shouldn't surprise anybody.
He's one three races and he's up in the points.
The only reason that Gordon's not above him because of Gordon's above him in the points, but Gordon's only one two races versus Junior's three.
Okay. So as far as the research I've done, that's where we're at right now.
I'm glad you're able to figure it out.
And the great historian Lloyd Chris is one said, I could be way off.
But according to the way I understand the point standings working that is where we're at.
And as I said last weekend when we were talking about this, look at me talking that car.
Look at me talking that car.
But not hang with that. There's no way it would just hurt my brain.
I'm not saying that I'm really good at it, but I think I've gotten enough to do enough to be dangerous.
So are you ready for your favorite segment of the week? Where are we next?
I don't know if it's my favorite segment of the week.
We will be racing next Sunday at 1 o'clock Eastern on the Espin from the Michigan International Speedway for the pure Michigan 400.
Pure Michigan baby.
Is George straight involved in this?
There's no other kind of Michigan like you're Michigan.
But that will be extra pulp at the next Sunday on the Espin.
And then, um, then we're actually going to have two races next week.
So by the time we go on the air, actually no, it'll be, no, we're not going to have a race to talk about.
Let me go back in the studio after Summer's land because they're racing the following Saturday.
So, no libraries to talk about.
I can't do math today.
But the race will happen the day before what happened the same day because they're racing August 23rd on Saturday for the Irwin Tools nice night race.
Irwin Tools.
I have nothing to do with that race. They spilled my last name.
Okay, okay, so that's what I'm going to ask.
Now as far as the race that's happening a Labor Day weekend, I'm going to package that for our next show.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
We are live every Sunday night.
Seven Eastern for Pacific. The official fact checker of this show is in the chat room.
Fondongo. Good to see you, brother.
Next week, we're going to have one of two things going on.
We're either going to be at Fox and Hound for Summer's land or we will either be in the studio or at an undisclosed location depending on Fox and Hound.
Please pay attention to our Facebook page.
We will be updating that and our Twitter feed as to what's going on for Summer's land.
Because Fox and Hound last I knew still working on the technical issues they're having with the network.
They don't want to present it to pay for you unless they can do it in the best possible manner.
And we appreciate them for doing it that way.
That's how they respect it.
There are friends of ours.
We love them to death and we're looking forward to seeing them again.
So you'll know as soon as we do, we do promise you.
We are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
So let's switch to the entertainment side of the coin and talk a little bit of television.
Season two of Agents of Shield just keeps getting crazier because now Kyle McLaughlin has joined the cast for season two.
As long as he doesn't want to look for somebody separate ear in a field.
I'm all right.
I just want to hear the phrase.
That's damn good.
That's all I want to hear.
But I'm he'll be paying skies father.
Wow.
That's kind of rep my head around that one.
And Henry Simmons will be joining us.
Alfonso Mack McKinsey.
Who is he?
Henry Simmons.
Do I know what you're saying?
I knew the name and for some reason I didn't keep it on the run sheets.
So let's look that up right now because the miracle that is the internet.
Can help us with that.
Well, I really can't type today.
He was an NYPD blue.
That's why I put him in here because I thought you would know the name.
I had to see his face.
He's an African American gentleman.
And now of course now it's dragging its tail.
He was losing that move.
He was in that horrible queen.
I see if it would be taxi.
Who does he play on NYPD blue?
He was on Raven's wood.
He wasn't okay.
No, that's not him.
Okay.
Do you recognize him as you see him?
I just saw his little thumb nail popped up and I did the search on it.
I did me.
Now I'm not sure who this kid is.
He played detective Baldwin Jones on NYPD blue.
I know you were big.
Oh yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
I do recognize this guy now.
All right.
So edge continuing to get work.
As the show that he's featured on Haven gets season five will start Tuesday, September 11th
and then we'll move the Thursdays.
Is that right?
That's not right.
So it's still going to be on a Thursday.
So Thursday, September 11th at 10 Eastern.
So they're moving from following SmackDown on Fridays to Thursdays in the same
time slot.
Could it still be following SmackDown?
We're going to talk about that in wrestling talk.
Okay.
Package that.
Yes.
Maybe maybe not.
ABC.
Cancel's another one of their summer series.
You're welcome internet.
How did I know that was coming when I saw this on the wrench?
Yeah.
Black box.
Which I didn't really.
When I saw the commercial for this show, it really didn't do much for me.
I was like.
Like you're fond of saying never watched an episode.
Never watched an episode.
I mean the girl in the show is a pretty girl.
An incredibly stylish her name.
Basically it was the Catherine Black of famed and neuroscientious with a job at the Center
for neurological research and treatment.
Struggles with mental illness.
However, this is just one of the many secrets she hides from her fiance and her family.
That was the bit.
I gotta pick back enough.
Yeah.
So there's that.
Into the realm of celebrity relationships.
And you said, you did see how this was a story.
This was the really, maybe I'd forgotten about this.
But the first I heard of it when you and I talked about this yesterday, that David
do come in tail-a-only are divorces.
Yeah, that's like, they separated from him.
I want to say halfway through his run at California Cation, because apparently he was kind
of suffering from the same kind of melody that his character did on the show.
Really?
He had like a sex addiction.
Ladies.
Yeah.
So they've been living in an estranged relationship for a long time.
So I guess it's really, I mean, it just didn't come as such a priority.
But he didn't even made the front page of IMDB.
Yeah.
I was like, so, you know, they've been at odds for each other for so long.
Do I need to go make a trip to the green room?
Just a minute.
Car stolen motion.
Okay.
So there's that also, if you're ready.
Mark week starts today, baby.
Yeah, no one.
I don't have this camera, John.
Love that commercial though.
My sister takes Robloath, rowing the chum.
It's so sharky.
My sister takes me shark week.
I'm like, yeah, but I don't have the channel.
All right.
Let me go get the chum.
Let's go into the green room and let our, let our special guest in.
That's a survey.
Well, we're going to move along right now and talk a little bit about grazing anatomy.
I show I can really not talk anything about, but a headline from television reaches us this
week.
If you listen to this show, you know that the lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin is a huge fan
of grazing anatomy and Oscar award winner, Gina Davis is going to be on that show this
season and what they're calling a very, very important story arc.
But they're not saying what it is or who her character is going to be.
But I told the lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin about this.
She was very, very excited because she's a big fan of Gina Davis.
And she loves grazing anatomy.
So that's just two great taste.
The taste great together.
Apparently joining us right now is our special guest for the evening.
A man who has not been here for a while wearing a great t-shirt with his renin
Stimpy references on it.
He is the king of bowling.
He is Andrew Beckham.
Welcome back to the show, sir.
Thank you.
I hope to be better than bad.
I hope to be good.
Hey, like a log.
We were just, uh, I was just talking about how Gina Davis is going to be doing a guest
in on grazing anatomy this year.
They announced that on Friday.
She's going to marry that director, too.
Oh, his career.
Well, I want to see his career.
What, what's she been up to lately?
Um, not much that I know of.
Do an archery trying to get into the Olympics after after that ill-fated commander and chief series.
Oh, yeah.
And they're trying to do that bit again.
Madam Secretary with T.
L.O.L.
L.O.L.L.
It all works itself back in.
All right.
So let's talk about,
the Andy Sandberg show known as Brooklyn 99 coming back late September early October.
Not really feeling that shit.
And announced to be playing himself in a guest role as one Terrell Owens.
Really not feeling that shit.
No.
Just a beat down on top of a beat.
I tried to sit through a couple episodes of that and I just couldn't do it.
I watched about 10 minutes of the episode that followed the new girl that followed the Super Bowl.
Oh, yep.
And I was like, I mean, I like Andy Sandberg and I like a lot of the people on that show.
Oh, what's the name, Terrell?
He's on that Andre Brown show and I was just like,
it's like, you look at Andre Brown, like, what are you doing on this show?
I just wonder, maybe it's, are we just not the demographic for that show?
I don't think that anybody that's in this current crop of SNL alums
are ever really meant to be our demographic.
That's fair point.
Also, we have casting news from ABC's redo of the odd couple.
Communities give that Nicole Brown joins the cast as Oscar Madison's assistant Danny.
Oscar Madison being played by Matthew Perry.
That is so weird.
That is.
I just can't, I can't picture him being a swan.
Well, I don't know what's weirder is, you know, I mean, I wouldn't say weird
but the casting for Felix Unger is Thomas Lenin.
He's a guy that's been a lot of the jet app and tell stuff.
He was the guy and I love you man that thought the dude was gay.
I have to look.
Oh, he was on Reno 911.
He's very funny actor.
Yeah, I just, I just don't know how long this thing goes.
I want Matthew Perry to be successful.
I want Matthew Perry to be successful.
But I just don't know that he is in this deal.
Do you think people will just watch just because it's Matthew Perry?
Well, I think you're going to get an audience that doesn't even know what the
ad couple is.
So they're going to be fine.
You still looking up Thomas Lenin.
I'm looking at him.
Oddly enough, he comes up as a writer before he comes up as an actor.
It depends on the person.
Especially when you look at the internet, the internet explorer version of IMDV versus the
app.
It's really weird the way they do it.
Like apparently he had a really big hand in creating the night at the museum franchise.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, that sound means it's time for P.O.I.
P.O.I stands for person of interest.
It is a segment we do on this show where we take a person or an entity and we debate their
greatness or lack thereof.
I see Russ is joined us in the chat room.
Good to see you, sir.
He says apparently there's a new candid camera that starts tomorrow.
Uh-huh.
Dude, he created Reno 911.
That's why I probably why he was on it.
Yeah.
He's a serious creator.
Wow.
So, P.O.I. swings back to me this week.
And I was thinking about P.O.I. and then I realized what we're wrapping up today.
In Texas, I know in Florida this happened last weekend in Texas it's this weekend.
It is tax-free weekend.
Or as we call it, retail hell.
Or as I call it, a weekend I ain't going anywhere to sell stuff.
For those of you that may live in states that do not have tax-free weekend, I'm
explaining to you how this works.
If you go shopping and it's not on everything, like you can't go buy a car and have
to be tax-free.
That's just not getting crazy with it.
Like anything that qualifies for back-to-school supplies, is that what we're doing
to add?
Anything you have to be doing back-to-school?
Yeah.
Clothes, paper, scissors, blotty-blotty-blotty-blotty-blot.
You can get this weekend and not pay tax on it.
In Texas, sales tax is 8.25%.
So you're telling me if I go to the store and spend a hundred bucks, I'm saving 8.25.
Yes, somehow this doesn't seem worth it to me, no.
Because if you've ever, especially if you live here in the DFW area where we are, if you've
ever seen the way tax-free weekend works, you would think it's black Friday.
Yeah, that's exactly what it's, it's Christmas shopping all over again.
All of the stores do big sales and door busters and everything else, and I'm gonna
know.
I mean, and I can see that there are certain people that this might benefit.
But I mean, if I spent a thousand dollars and saved 80 bucks, now you're getting somewhere
with me.
But if I'm spending 50 bucks and I'm saving four, I don't, that worth my time.
Yeah, I don't get how, how this has been official to anybody.
I don't either.
It just says, especially when we live in a society where the government's trying to find
money anyway, and now you're telling people for three days you're not gonna pay sales
tax on stuff.
Yeah, I had, I had to tell this to a sales person at a, Rooks Rocker.
That's what the, looks locker.
Looks locker.
They sell shoes.
But they're like supposed to take measurements of your foot, and, you know, if you need
a special shoe, they have it, it's supposed to be like a custom shoe for you or whatever.
But they have, you know, your locker, then, why don't I want Looks shoes?
I don't know.
It's crazy.
You want to be a child.
And they would take a half hour to do anything, and I said, I know the shoe I want.
Take my measurement.
Do you not understand these?
I'll just pursue this here.
I can't do it.
I can't do it.
I'm like, you're just missed out on a hundred and nine dollars, because you won't
take my measurement.
I just don't, I mean, is there, Chad, do you see an advantage of this thing?
No, to me, the, the hassle and the headache is far greater than the benefit.
It's just, it's not worth it.
It's not enough.
I'm now at the age where shopping in general is an absolute beating for me, because
people are stupid, don't says he was at a target over on the, on the north side today,
and it was no more busy than usual.
But if you have to buy this stuff anyway, it's better to buy this weekend than the
other weekends.
I don't know if I agree with that, because if it's the target close to our place,
yes.
I can see why.
Yes.
Well, people don't go there.
Actually, it is.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
For me, I, like I was saying, I, I get really annoyed with this.
Everybody has to try to get everything for as little as they possibly can.
Add a tube where people want to cheat the system to get something, or, you know, you
said it was this.
I mean, if something's marked a certain way on the counter, like I went to a gas station
who was buying a couple of bottles of bar there was to be too for 150, and they tried to
charge me three bucks.
I was like, no, with this sign says I think that's one thing.
But your ad said, this is 298 and you're charging me 299.
It's like, here's the penny.
Can you move along, please?
You know, I stop wasting my time with this.
That is a classic case of nickel and diamond it.
I mean, I don't want to get all over stone on this here, but is this a conspiracy by retail?
Just to drum up.
Yeah.
Interesting retail and a din of diamond.
I mean, I can understand back to school, but in some cases, kids went back to school
two weeks ago.
Yeah.
And kids here don't go back to school for another two weeks.
I'm sure they just get you in there, because like those doorbells.
There's, I'm sure they're not tax-free.
Oh, no, every, if it qualifies, yeah, but what if they have a door bus or this not?
You know, it's like, they have a door bus or, and it's like, like a firewood.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You can see the counter.
Dint, dint, dint, dint, dint, dint, dint, dint, dint.
Make your own paper.
Dura flame.
There's a case of dura flame.
Yeah, I want this tax-free because I can make paper out of it.
No.
I can make a pencil body out of this and then fill it with lead.
I don't want to go anywhere near your house because your house might be a health hazard.
No myth in that neighborhood.
Not saying, but breaking pens, the Walter White is supposed to fly.
I just, I don't know, it just, obviously, I'm missing something because it is a big deal
and stores do big deals for it.
You ain't missing nothing.
I just, when I realized it was tax-free weekend, I was like, okay, do I have everything
I need?
Is there anything I need to go through the store for?
Good.
Like, I'll go to 711 and get a beverage if I need it.
Outside of that.
Gotta be back in nothing.
Walmart.
Sorry about your bad luck.
Yeah.
Not getting my money this week.
It's the last place I'd be setting foot in.
Target, sorry.
Yeah.
Mall.
I was actually going to go to the mall today and get, because my Batman watch, I
got to get the batteries replaced in it and I went, oh wait a minute, it's tax-free weekend.
There's no way I'm going to the mall today.
Yeah, no.
That dog doesn't, I'm sorry.
I have got anything better to do all of a sudden.
You know, Batman watch, I'll wear my Florida watch for another few days.
Yeah.
You know, it just, I don't get it and I never, I don't know that I ever will.
I mean, if it benefits you, God bless you, but I'm just not that guy.
Yeah.
I think it benefits like the person that has like, like, three or more kids, like, two
kids and, you know, at that point, you know, you're spending three, four hundred bucks saving
about 30 bucks taking the lunch or something.
Yeah.
But if you're the kid, you're like, I don't want to go shopping.
I always think of the first verse of parents just don't understand.
Where he talks about going to school shopping.
That was me growing up.
I wore the zips.
You know, I didn't own brand name shoes until I was in high school and it was because
I was in the Super Bowl halftime show and they were given to us.
That first pair of rebocks, I wore those for the better part of a decade because it was
the first name brand shoes I ever owned.
And it's affected me later in life because now I won't wear anything but Nike's.
I won't wear crappy tennis shoes.
I won't do it.
Especially nowadays.
Yeah.
I can't do it.
So I mean, but we didn't have tax free weekend back then.
We just went shopping like that weekend before school started.
That was the ball game.
Just people were a little bit more normal back then.
That's fair.
They were more late back.
I should say.
They weren't trying to cheat the system all the time.
I mean, it was there, but it wasn't as prevalent, so I'm saying.
Any other further discussion on this topic, gentlemen?
Avoid it like the plague.
It's just, I'm right there with you, Bell.
Go shopping tomorrow.
There might be after tax.
Yeah, that's it.

How to get there and tell me to go pound-sane while I'm there.
I am Rob at theclubhousepodcast.com.
I am chat at theclubhousepodcast.com.
I'm at go-in-pound-sandagemiel.com.
Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest because we are morally obligated to say that.
And Jules Womack I can guarantee you is at the house today.
Yes, she is.
And remember, if you subscribe on iTunes,
you can get extra stuff that you don't get on the live show.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
Let's get into a topic that we wouldn't normally get into
this time of year.
We're gonna talk a little bit of basketball right now
because Team USA is having problems.
Just a lot.
As we know of last week, Paul George and the terrible, horrible, no good, really bad day, he had brutal.
I haven't watched it.
I know what happened.
I don't need to see it.
You don't want to watch it.
They tried to blame it on the, what are they call that thing?
Guards the goal post and the backside.
They tried to blame it on them.
I'm like, no, it's the same distance it normally is.
He just landed wrong.
You could tell he, in his mind, he knew he's like,
oh, I got to, I got to place my feet to land.
Yeah, just when you're going that fast, there's no way to stop.
Jerry Collangial said it.
He just landed hard.
He wasn't, it was a freak accident.
We don't blame anybody.
It sucks.
Yeah.
You know, a blight Griffin, citing back problems
and then doing vine videos and Bermuda
where he's doing back flips off of cliffs,
Kevin Durant now backing out, citing fatigue,
all, all George does that don't even call me.
Yeah.
I can respect that.
And remember, this is Fiba, not Fifa.
Right.
This is the Fiba World Championships
that really is not that important to people in this country.
I'll still room for Team USA because Merka,
but I mean, start using the college kids, man.
Yeah.
We can't really, any time you play, you're going to run a risk.
Would you rather do it for your country
or would you rather do it the daily?
Yeah.
You know?
They should play their college players or do you like players?
They need the name recognition in the most.
Well, I was talking to somebody about this the other day.
And we used to.
But in, you know, going into the 88 Olympics,
we said, hey, in 84, we saw you guys were using your pros.
We'll give you 388.
And if we still see a new user pros, get ready for 92.
And the other teams did it.
And so 92 is when the dream team happened, and that whole bit.
And I think that's just carried over into the Fiba Championships
and everything else.
And they've just never not done it.
Right.
Christian, let you hear.
A poor guy.
Left is talent, Barcelona.
Left a lot of things and Duke North Carolina.
Yeah, left it.
And that's a who I really felt bad for.
And that deal was Bobby Hurley.
That can have all the talent in the world
and just that, that accident screwed up everything.
Yeah, still look great.
Still does still works in basketball and a great guy from all accounts.
Well, it's a big fan of him in college.
Yeah, it's amazing how you can have so much talent in him one day.
It just, yep.
And an interesting story coming out of Houston this week.
Maybe Dwight Howard and James Harden starting to alienate themselves
from a team with some of the things they're saying.
Oh, yeah.
TMZ was reporting that that maybe they were eating on their own,
away from everybody else.
TMZ now saying we were misquoted in that article.
So it was just a matter of time before this came out of James Harden.
But he, he left Oklahoma City because he wanted to be the man.
He knew he never was going to be.
I got two words for the Houston Rockets.
Win something.
Win something.
Yes.
I got two more for them.
You're Houston.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's, it's bad down there right now.
Yeah.
You're, you're not going to reincarnate.
Clad the gliding.
It came the dream that just won't happen.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
And the tail end of Barkley's car.
It's a came back.
Yeah.
I missed from a tempo.
Cooking monster of the NBA.
But I did want to call that call.
You know, we cover as much as we can on this show.
I wanted to put that out there.
But let's move on a little bit through some music talk.
Talk about one of Chad's favorite artists right now.
Not sound good.
Are you out of your mind?
She made headlines.
So you were part of her as one of my favorite artists.
Nicky Minaj says there will be no collaborations on her new album.
So if you were a Nicky Minaj fan, get ready for 20% more Nicky Minaj on her new album.
Because you know, the one thing I was missing was the pure Nicky Minaj experience.
And maybe that's how they're going to work into the pure Michigan 400 next week.
With pure Mickey Nicki Minaj.
See you miss early Andrew.
I actually did the homework and got the NASCAR standings right.
So I know who's one.
I did all the homework.
Oh, really?
Yes.
Did you talk about the Tony sort thing?
We did cover that.
But if you're Nicki Minaj fan, you're ready for more Nicky Minaj.
So there's that.
I mean, Nicki Minaj fan's on a room.
Wow, sound like it's his deafening.
Now then.
And a story that kind of shocked me a little bit.
The VMA is coming up in a couple of weeks, not just that shock to me.
The fact that they showed on MTV, also shocking.
But Maroon 5 is going to be performing on the VMAs for the very first time ever this year.
Really?
Yeah, that kind of shocked me.
I was like, they've never played the VMAs because they probably realized the cultural
insignificance of the VMAs.
And your Michael Jackson video van guard award this year will go to the Beyonce.
Oh, finally wrapped up that tour.
Not yet?
Yeah, apparently so.
It wraps up next month because they're filming it for HBO in Paris.
They may have filmed the North American list.
Yes, it wrapped up.
And there's only three stops on the rest of the world of that thing.
And two of them are in Paris.
Apparently it's made like 150 million or something.
Oh, man.
They've got that on them.
What do you think?
Hey, sometimes you go to Vegas.
You want to double down now.
He can't.
Yeah, now we can't really do that.
Just don't take the elevator.
Oh, no.
Oh, no, no.
Speaking of that elevator scene.
And the, the buckle of a movie with mutant.
I haven't watched it.
I'm not seeing it.
We'll talk about it movie talk, though.
Yeah.
I don't plan on it.
Paramore fans.
Haley Williams has canceled more dates due to exhaustion.
Can we not call this band Paramore and just call it the Haley Williams band
because that's what the band was always meant to be because they've everybody
also in the band's change but her.
Mm-hm.
It's like a guns and roses situation.
Just in a lot less time.
I mean, I like this song.
I like this.
This first album that was very good.
But then again, not the target demo.
My kid was a huge fan of this crew band.
A crush crush crush.
You played that all the time.
Yeah, really.
It was on.
I remember it was later on Rock Bandica guitar here.
I want you wanted to do that song over and over and over.
As I said, if I have to play this song one more time.
I'm going to, I'm going to freaking beat towns in this guitar.
And in news, that's probably going to upset Chad a little bit.
Adele has turned down the theme for James Bond 24.
Right now, your front runner is a Sam Smith.
Who?
Uh, your ex-wife is a big fan.
We actually talked about it on Facebook yesterday.
She posted one of his videos.
That's a shame.
Does a new, does a new bond have a title yet?
It does not.
You probably won't get a title till probably Marchish.
Okay.
Because they're not supposed to start filming till November.
Yeah.
It's going to hard to write a song.
But you know it, I'm okay with Adele passing, though.
I'm, I'm, who was the only guy that's done a choice?
It was a girl.
Surely bachelor's done with her ham-fisted vocal.
You're on fire, iron, iron-fisted vocal.
Not a ham-fisted, iron-fisted.
I just, I know, because Skyfall did so well.
If I'm her, I'm like, ah, I don't know if I could talk about that.
Well, because this is, this is not an original script, right?
They're just kind of, they haven't said what the storyline's going to be.
Yeah, they're real.
Yeah, yeah.
You want to talk about a franchise that manages to keep the majority of its secrets secret.
And you could get J.J. Abrams or direct one, because then you know,
do you wouldn't know anything.
Speaking of it, did you see what he sent his ex-nider on Twitter yesterday?
No.
Picture of C3PO on a rooftop.
Is the dark night?
Okay.
Eyes are glowing into the bat symbol.
It's the symbol of a million.
Man, let's do it.
Look it up.
It looks really cool.
And J.J., don't you have a movie to film?
And he's, he put it on the bat robot Twitter feed.
It looks really cool.
Okay, that's all I need to find out.
Yeah.
And the Morrissey saga continues.
His label Harvest Records has says they're done with him.
I'm surprised.
And it happened with this album selling very well.
But he puts a challenge out on YouTube for people to film videos for his new song.
And then he uses that opportunity to say, oh, these are great.
And I love these.
And if the record company would just listen to what I'm telling them,
they said, oh, we heard you.
You're done.
See?
And he went, oh, no, I'm going to write a album about it,
because now I'm so depressed because they never record label.
Shut up, Morrissey.
I hate it.
When is this guy going to get the hint that he is relevant to so
he has the rear view?
There is a segment on last week tonight with John Oliver,
that might be dedicated to him, whose name I can't say on this show.
It's all I'm saying.
Something about this guy.
Yeah.
And in a rough news for me, Kings of Leon has had to postpone their tour.
They were playing in Boston, headed into New York.
And a pedestrian jumped out in front of their bus,
bus driver slams on the brakes, throws the band all over the bus,
and Nathan followed a little break some ribs.
Wow.
They say he's recovering.
Oh, you just saw that.
Yeah, you see what he calls it?
I couldn't say it off.
The C3PED crusader, so it's like caped crusader with the show.
Show Andrew the picture looks great.
But we want to set our best out to Nathan,
follow along the boys.
Love me some Kings of Leon.
Awesome.
It's sick.
Hope Nathan gets well soon.
Love their, I just love their sound.
That is epicly fun.
At least someone's on fire.
New, music, new releases in places you get music,
new releases from this Tuesday.
Guy is going to be here with our fair bird for a Christmas concert in December.
The Brian sets our orchestra guy.
I don't know if it's the orchestra just him, but it's called rockabilly,
riot, all original.
I'm not being on this.
I love him, I love you some sets are.
When they did the Brian sets are orchestra did their version
of rock this town.
Very, very cool.
Rust wants to ask about something that I didn't put on the run sheet,
but we can talk about it.
There is a petition going around that's trying to get weirdo yank effect
to be your Super Bowl half time.
That's right, yeah.
I'm on board.
You know I love me so weirdo yank effect.
Like on Wednesday it had like almost 60,000 people that are already signed.
Isn't that more than enough?
Yeah, but it's the NFL.
It's true.
We're probably going to book Engelbird Humphord Ink.
I don't know if you're a little well-ven, really?
That's who you're going to pick out of the bin here.
This is how you isolate people.
Dude, this is live radio.
I can't plan these things.
But Engelbird Humphord Ink.
You couldn't pick those by the better.
A little bit more time.
Engelbird Humphord.
Mac Davis.
Maybe.
But think about when they had like the stones in the hoo and everybody else.
But Engelbird Humphord Ink works.
Heck with it.
Yeah, Tom Jones up there.
Yeah, the way Newton.
That'd be a neat trick.
Also with a way Newton's hologram.
Also with a brand new album this week.
American Idol Alumni Chris Allen.
I like this kid.
I really do.
When he did the phrase version of Heartless.
That was really cool.
I'm a big fan.
Here's new album.
Horizons releases this Tuesday.
Rome Ramirez does get free.
Now that may not ring a bell to you, but this is the guy
that toured with Sublime last year.
Where was Sublime with Rome?
Because they couldn't call it Sublime.
Because Leedsinger was dead and there was a big court case.
He has a solo project called Get Free that comes out this Tuesday.
Also this Tuesday.
A lady who we haven't heard from in a while.
And I'm really not that concerned about it.
Now this is the only song I had by her.
Which is actually a pretty cool song.
Skinhead O'Cotta.
Shouldate O'Cotta releases.
I'm not bossy.
I'm the boss.
Because that makes me want to run more.
You didn't have it.
And in bars across America, we'll go in at the boss to me.
You didn't have nothing compares to you or not her version.
Or layer hands on me.
Nope, this is all I have.
But I like this song called Tiers from the Moon.
Steve Aoki.
Artists for the kid to the close and the hair.
Releases neon future this week.
Also R&B guy tank.
Releases stronger.
And this guy.
Twist that with an A.
Because he's extreme.
Because he's extreme.
No, no, no, no.
Because he's famous.
Because he's from the streets.
Releases.
Nope, I'll just lost it.
Where does it?
Dark horse.
Where is this guy, man?
Collaborating with everybody else.
Let's move on and talk a little baseball.
Can somebody please let me know when Detroit shows back up?
We'll go two weeks.
What a meltdown going on in Detroit, Michigan right now.
Yeah.
Now, they're still leaning to division.
But I like a game or a game in a half.
I mean, I think like seven out of their last 12,
they've scored more than two runs.
They're staying on a float, but not by a heck of a lot right now.
Everyone's like their pitching's going down.
I'm like, well, I mean, if your pitcher gives up two runs,
and you only scored one, they still have a good game.
It just can't get.
What's talking about these standings in the American League East,
the Boston Red Sox, 14 games, below 500.
15 and a half back.
They are six games behind the Tampa Bay race.
Tampa Bay now, three and a half behind the Yankees.
The Yankees are starting to look like they might be a team last night.
I had the opportunity to spend some time with former co-hosts of this show,
Cody Hawkins out of his beautiful place that got out in the country.
Yeah, I forgot to ask you, I forgot to ask you how that went.
How the great time with them met his, met his almost two-year-old daughter,
Gentry kid is just the cutest thing you've ever seen in your life.
We were talking last night because you know what?
Because I'm not saying this as a Yankee fan, he goes,
but don't let the Yankees get into the playoffs.
Because because they're playing just crazy enough to try to do something.
They are currently six games back, but they're a half game behind Toronto.
Toronto now five and a half back on Baltimore.
But Tampa Bay is one three straight, so that's awesome.
In the A.L. Central, the Minnesota twins, yes, you still suck.
You're 12 and a half back. The white socks are three and a half ahead of them,
but three games behind Cleveland. Kansas City, with the Detroit meltdown,
the Kansas City Worlds are now one game behind the Detroit Tigers.
Get your stuff together because Jesus is coming.
In Chad's favorite division, the A.L. West, your Texas Rangers,
still continuing to stink up the joint, but they won today.
So good for you, sir.
Well, did they make up the thrashing that they got beat behind last night?
I didn't see that.
I don't want to know. And that's what I have to say.
I don't want to know. They are 25 games below 500.
Right now. They are 46 and 71. They are now two and a half games behind Houston.
No excuse for that. Houston now 13 games behind Seattle and the team we like to call.
That was my almost a family opera.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles County, California,
America, North America, Earth, Milwaukee way. They are now four games behind Oakland.
Oakland's one three straight into the National League West, Colorado, the Rockies.
So they're 20 and a half back. They are five and a half games behind Arizona.
Arizona is three and a half games behind San Diego, but there's a huge gap,
because they're seven games behind San Francisco. The giants now are four and a half
back on Misty's beloved Dodgers. So they're starting to pull away a little bit.
In the NL Central, the Cubs, God bless you. You're 14 and a half games back,
but you're nine and a half games behind Cincinnati. Cincinnati, two and a half behind Dons
of 11 Pittsburgh, Pirates, John Anderson, who had a birthday this weekend. So I have a birthday
to John. His beloved St. Louis Cardinals are two games behind the Milwaukee Brewers who are
a conflict of interest. And in the only division that matters, the National League East,
the Philadelphia Phillies, still suck and you're 11 and a half back,
but you're three games behind the Met. The Met are a game and a half behind my beloved
Miami Marlins, but my beloved Braves are four and a half back on the nationals. The nationals
doing you have to stay afloat, but the Braves are starting to come alive just a little bit.
I didn't help when you lose any games in a room. There is that.
Well, kids, it's time for America's favorite game. Yes. What is the run differential
for the Houston Astros? Don has a guess of minus 110. Ross, we're a little bit lower
at minus 105, chat. 106. 106. I'm Andrew. I want to go with 97 that play in the Rangers
series. Minus 97 for the Houston Astros for Andrew. The Houston Astros are 49 and 69 right now.
20 games below 500. They have a win percentage of four 15, which I believe is that the lowest
of the win. The Rangers are worse, right? The Rangers are the only teamwalkers. No. Great.
Colorado is also worse. No. Yeah. Are they still allowed to a whiskey? No. He's there. He's
there. I'm just sick of losing. Yeah. Yeah. They are 26. There are 24 games back in first place.
They're 28 and 34 at home. 21 and 35 on the road. They're on a one game losing streak.
They are five and five in their last time. It's not a streak. The run differential for the Houston
Astros. Nobody wins this week. You all went too high. Oh, no. It is minus 90. Wow. They made
up a lot of ground. Now for the Rangers. No. You're winner this week would have been done because
there are minus 120. Oh. Do we have to change the name of it? I'm saying it. I have to.
The Oakland still is the best in the league at a plus 173. They're the only team in the green
and triple digits. And you know, it's all in the same division, too. Yeah. The only team close to them right
now is Washington at plus 81. Wow. Yeah. Sick. Wow. And you know the Rangers won like 16 to 0 this
past weekend. And they're still at minus 120. Yeah, but you don't get credit for run score. I'm just saying.
You are losing to the clubhouse. We are live every Sunday night. 7 Eastern 4 Pacific.
If you miss any section of the show, you can, well, you can catch it almost immediately after we go
off air on on on you stream or you can subscribe on iTunes. So good. Why the heck wouldn't you?
Yeah. It's good for our self esteem. Let's go to our in Memorial segment. We've got a couple
to talk about today. The first one is Minahem Gollen. Born August of May 31st, 1929 passed away
yesterday. And his really, oh, they're day before yesterday. I'm sorry. And his really director and producer.
This guy, you may not know his name, but you know his body of work. He was born in
Tiberius, then called the mandate Palestine. Study directing at the Old Vic School and the London
Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and NYU was a Israeli pilot in the War of Independence for
Israeli married had three kids. As a director did movies like El Dorado, be the biggest one
you'd know from the 60s, looped over the 70s, escaped to the sun. But let's talk about the 80s
entered the ninja Delta Force over the top, Mac the knife. He did the remake of Prime
and Punishment of 2002. This is a guy Delta Force. That's all you need to know.
I mean, Chuck Norris. If you remember the old Canon films logo in the 80s,
it pretty much anything that Chuck Norris was involved with. He was usually on Canon.
He was the guy that ran that studio for a while. Really? Mm-hmm. For years or just.
I think up until they just shuddered. Started out as an apprentice at the Habimath Theatre
in Tel Aviv. After completing his studies, he staged plays in Israel. Gained experiences of
filmmaker by working as an assistant to Roger Corman. A lot of people did. I wanted to say
Cameron did that too. Yep. You're correct. He also helped out with some of the deathwish
sequels. Mm-hmm. Oh dear. He also produced the Masters of the Universe. Yes, I told you that
yesterday. I was like, we got to talk about this. Gained infamy in 1987. After the UK based production
of Superman 4 failed in theaters. Mm-hmm. I think that's one of the things that kind of
help bring about the downfall of that studio because they wanted to do Spider-Man in 86.
That's right. He did. I wanted Dahlve Lundrin to play the Green Goblin and wanted Stan Lee to play
JJ on a Jamison. You know what? That would have been real interesting. And 86. Yeah. No,
just to see Stan Lee play Jamison. That's genius. But you may not know him, but you know his work.
He will be missed. The man has skins on the wall. He did contribute. Doing lines, sir.
Also passing away this week, if I can get, look at Peter behavior itself. Here we go.
Another actor by the name of Charles Keating. I want to know that name. Is that a soap opera
actor? He was a soap opera veteran, sir. Passes away at 72 was on another world, was on guiding
light. Having some problems with, I guess, my wife is moving very, very slowly tonight.
I saw his name mentioned. I was like, I know that name, and I looked above and I was like,
this guy. The list of soaps he didn't do. We sure did. Yeah. Let me say if I can get IMDB to help me out here
because Wikipedia is the Wikipedia app is always been very strange.
He has one of those classic soap opera looks. He looks like if George Harrison had been a soap opera
actor, that's what he kind of looks like. All my children in another world, the time that remake
of the Thomas Crown affair, the bodyguard. His last work was in 2005 in during Doose Pigolo, European
Jigolo. John Carlos did a couple episodes of alias, did a couple episodes of Zeno warrior princess
and Horky was Zeus on that and Horky Lee's legendary journeys. He was Friedrich Golchin,
and the Thomas Crown affair, did a couple of episodes of the sex in the city,
very accomplished actor, born in London, England. So we know all y'all know what he sounds like.
He also played Ebenezer Scrooge in the Christmas carol at the Guthrie theater in Minnesota.
That was nice. That was nice, France, that's nice. I know. He will be missed as well.
Let us get into some NFL talk because we can, baby. Yes. Here's my first question.
Is Dean Blandino a genius or a moron?
Here's Dean Blandino. Vice President of officiating for the NFL last weekend.
TMZ gets footage of him getting off the Cowboys party bus and going into a club.
Awesome. Did it help them? No, the Cowboys still lost by three touchdowns, but still.
Genius. He can't win. If you're an officiator official, you can't win.
The Cowboys have a party bus.
It's training. It's their owner.
Well, I don't know. I'm not sure we want to get into those photos either.
It's a trickle down effect with the Cowboys. There's no sense of responsibility. No, they sure.
We're going to make sure we take some selfies with some young lighties.
Because I'll never come back to bite. Well, but you know what diffused that whole thing?
For those of you that don't know, there were some pictures that photos for a surface on Twitter of Jerry.
Not really in compromising positions, but really round one of them could have been construed that way.
But the other two, everybody was fully clothed.
But just maybe not in certain pictures with these ladies.
But when the guy that posted the pictures claims to be the son of God,
that kind of diffuses that situation a little bit. What? Yeah, he said he said he didn't want to do this,
but he has to teach Jerry a lesson because as the son of God, it is his responsibility to call these things for
What? Do you not get that little? No, that little tidbit. No, that's a little coco for cocoa puffs.
Because now people are looking into maybe possible photo shopping in these pictures because of it, and yeah,
that's why I didn't run you put on the run sheet, but we can talk about it.
You can't not talk about it because that was definitely story in the end.
I was just saying there's a party, but it's a trickle down thing.
They're going to be lucky to win three games. I got to do something.
We need to establish an over-under on how many yards cowboys opponents will get through the first 16 games.
So the first 16 games? Well, they're not going to the playoffs. It's obvious.
Cowboys running backs or opponents running backs? No, just total yards for the offense. The other teams often.
Because you want an average or you want total?
Yes, both. No, no, just total. I think average offense that the cowboys give up this
season will be over 200. I'll set the over-under at 220 per game.
I didn't want to go college on it. Did you see what Philip Rivers and
then those other people did at two of them? If last Thursday is any indication,
it's going to be a long season for cowboy fans. And I say that as a doll fan.
Okay. Speaking of free season, let's give you the scores from this weekend Thursday night.
The aforementioned Dallas Cowboys lose at the San Diego Chargers 27 to 7, but jets over indie by a
field goal. They need to have my favorite player in the league, Pat McAfee. So I kick some
field goals. I'm just saying. Sure you got out of it, Harry. But new England loses to the
Washington football team 23 to 6. Wow. 23 to 3, Baltimore over San Francisco. Don't get me
started on that crowd reaction. Huh? They cheered Ray rise. Yeah. Cheered him like he was
hogan. Baltimore over San Francisco as we mentioned Kansas City beats Cincinnati by a
by a safety sucks to have the under in this game as Casey wins 41 to 39. Denver over Seattle
21 16 where a lot of their players felt that this was vindication. It's crazy.
On Friday, my beloved Dolphins lose to the Atlanta Falcon 16 to 10, also losing 16 to 10,
or my beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Jacksonville. It's going to be a long season. Yes.
Buffalo beats Carolina by a safety 20 to 18 soon to be the Toronto bills.
Chicago beats Philly 34 to 28 26 24 New Orleans over St. Louis and Oakland loses to Minnesota 10 to 6 last night.
The era has begun kids. If you're watching a film network, you saw Johnny football
played for the first time. Don't care. But they lose by a point to Detroit 13 to 12. This was a kick
fast. Oh, I'm not kidding you. Punt hunting. No. Field goal field goal field goal field goal field
goal field goal. Man'sel tried to scramble and by faith. Of course, if you don't know the way
NFL network does the preseason, they give you the local feed. So if they show the cowboy
games, you get the channel 11 feet. So this feed was the channel 3 out of Cleveland there on your side.
Thank you, Chick McGee. It was the most, there's a radio session here in Dallas
that does a thing called the Homer call of the week. If this doesn't win, and calling,
I'm calling the fix. This is literally what happens. They're about to go to break as Johnny's
taking the field to get ready for this first snap. All right, fans. Here's Johnny.
And he's wearing a visor on my dude. You're indoors at night. His first scramble. He scramble's
left. Things he's going to jook around to the right. And there were three defenders just waiting
on him. Oh, good. With silverware and napkins talking to their neck. And apparently his first
comment after the game was well, not an anime anymore. These guys are fast. Like welcome to the
NFL. Welcome to reality. This is not the NCAA man's basketball goal. But I did learn last night
that your second string quarterback in Detroit is former Miami Dolphin quarterback Dan or
Lobsky. Yeah. I'm like, he's still in the league. And who play, you can see who one of your
receivers for Cleveland is? No. One mile's Austin really is playing in Cleveland. And that's why
it was a kickfest. And who is the field gold kicker for Cleveland? Also former Calboy great
Billy Kondiff. Yeah. Oh, God. Oh my, that's really kind of like 140 now.
Well, you kicked the ball. Well, you know, 30 yards. No, I will. I'm like, good, mercy this guy.
Well, you know, hey, you can be 15 and still kick the ball. One of the top, you know,
long as you're one of the top 20 people that do it in the world. Also last night, uh,
Don's beloved Steelers lose of the Giants 20 to 16. Also 20 to 16 Tennessee over Green Bay.
And this last one. My wife's cousin is a season ticket holder at Houston.
Last night on Facebook, he posts available for sale for tickets for the Houston Texans this year.
They lose to Arizona 32 to nine. Ouch. Yes. That's a hard day at the office, sir. Yeah.
What goes to show you that this is a quarter back. Lee, you can have that one of the best receivers and
running back. Yeah. If you don't have to tell you, why do you draft defense again? Why do you
draft defense again? I like to Davey and Cloney, but did you really need him? Yeah.
Two words, Mario Williams. It's all I'm saying on the way. The way they're secondary. It's uh,
beat up. They got to have one good pass rush to give those scrubs back. There's some time.
All right. Well, you know, we're going to talk about NFL. It's talk about the other
start of the coin. Let's go on campus because what could be the biggest news in college football this
year came down on Thursday. The NCAA goes to the pack 10. The SEC, the big 12, the big
10 and the ACC and says, you guys make the rules. Excuse me? What are you hurt me?
You guys make the rules. How do we do recruiting? How do we? Yeah. This is coming. They've got to
have their rules in place by October 1st to be presented at the NCAA conference in January.
Wow. We will be paying players in 2016. Make no mistake about it. I heard they was going to be
like putting a trust fund that they could touch after they get out of college. I don't know. Most of
them are going to graduate. You know, Cody and I were talking about this last night and he was just like
these, these and small. And now these five conferences are only talking about playing each other.
So, uh-huh. That's North Texas getting that 250,000 dollar payday to take a 70 point
ass kick in. Not having any more. Yeah. That's stupid. And most of those conferences are top
editing. But anyway, so you're still going to get those. But see, here's my problem, though.
This is the reason I can't stand the first three weeks of college football. I don't want to see
Florida. Go play Sister Mary's College for the Blind. Beat him 947 to negative 20.
And here's a check for a couple hundred grand. That drives me insane. Yeah. We have no winner here. No.
It hopes our recruiting. Oh, yeah. We got beat by Florida by 5,000 points in the first quarter. Yeah. Like, yeah.
Oh, not that we're going to be that great this year. But, you know, also Thursday,
the SEC network goes live. Oh, yeah. So excited. Well, there's only like four or five teams.
You can follow the rest there. Just, you know, yeah. Good. The SEC. Our gosh. The SEC. I'm good.
True. So, and there, their first game is going to be the first live game they're going to carry
is going to be A and M versus South Carolina. Really? Mm-hmm. Now, do you get it? Is it on
you first? You first has it available in SEC states. And since A and M's in the SEC, I'm good.
And it is a premium channel or is it just part of sports pack? Okay. Good. Also,
something Cody and I were talking about last night, because we talked about a lot of things last night.
It was a house. This house for a while. But you, again, beautiful little house out there in cattle mills.
Um, couldn't find it on a map. Could not find the city on a map. So, right now. It's all by Grimple.
Could not Grimple either. Go to a hospital. But here's, but here's going to be the question.
How does this work with CBS? CBS has to have something in their contract that says they have first
dibs. Yeah. Because, let's just say by some miracle of nature,
Florida and Georgia are ranked in the top 10. Come October. Does the SEC network try to steal
that game? And then he gets in a war with CBS, or they're like, no, we've had the SEC
game of the week for decades. Yeah. That has to be laid down up front.
And Vernon Lundquist has already said, I don't have a contract with the SEC network. I have a contract with
CBS. Yeah. And I love watching, listen, well, Vernon Lundquist call a game. I'm a big fan of them.
See, and I grew up long I'm here. Yeah. So, yeah. I'm going to be watching this situation very
very carefully because I'm a little concerned about how this is going to go. Pretty sure that's
going to have to be in their NCAA rules that they're going to bring up, which is probably why
the NCAA did that. Here, you get all these people that are not going to respond in a timely manner.
I just wonder with, you know, the pack 10 has a network now. We've got the longhorn network.
I wonder how this is going to affect the SPNU. They're going to wind up doing all the mid majors.
Because doesn't like a mountain west, even have their own network out there. I think about why
was a Mac or somebody like that. Someone's going to make money off of it in that area.
All right, boys. Let's combine sports and entertainment and talk a little bit of wrestling.
The rock puts a post up this morning. I think the rocks found the new passion project.
Which is this past week. His mother and his niece were hit head on by a drunk driver.
Both are okay. Thank God. But he puts a picture up on Twitter of the accident. Says
everyone's okay. This could have been 100% avoided or prevented. Hashtag choices matter.
Is this a guy you really want to be on the bat side of?
No, he's got the name power right now and everyone loves him from his movie.
And it was what I saw at this morning and it had already been retweeted over 3300 times.
So we're glad his mom and his cousin who's cousin is an NXT diva.
We're glad they're both okay. But again, you can't stress enough kids. Get a designated driver.
Call a cab. It's not that hard. Do something.
I mean, you've got like 55 apps now with people that like tried and lift and all this other stuff.
Also congratulations to the rock. He's on the cover of this month's UFC magazine.
He puts a post up the other day. So they interviewed him.
Russ tell me you're joking in the chat room.
And I'll wait for your answer. But he was very excited. They interviewed him and they made the cover of the magazine.
He said he said he loves MMA and he would have loved to have been a part of the UFC.
But that can't no rush. You can't. I'm waiting for us to respond.
And then don't ever get used to this song.
Alberto Del Rio fired this week. Wow. Even after that match he had this. Well, apparently he didn't back
stage was apparently manager of social media live events. Cody Barbieri threw some kind of a racist barb
at him and he slapped her. Oh. Russ says no joke. There are three new bullgames. The
Boker return bowl. The Miami Beach bowl and the Bahamas bowl. Oh God. What college this year?
Boker. I don't get that. Yeah. Why would you go there to watch football?
But Alberto Del Rio now no longer with the company. Wow. And a lot of people bought it by
to pin a work and then WWE puts on their Twitter feed. You want to blame anybody.
blame Alberto Del Rio. There's no reason to not be professional. Yeah. Now a lot of people are saying
will there be consequences for this Cody Barbieri? Given what, you know, they're saying
was a racist remark. The remark has not yet been said. Yeah. But Alberto Del Rio gone from the company.
A week after Ricardo Rodriguez gone from the company. Apparently, apparently Ricardo asked for his
release. Really. He was being used and under a mask at NXT. He was having some problems getting
getting down to the weight they wanted him to. But he was doing the announcing. But with the cutbacks,
he knew they were going to cut back one of the announcers from the Spanish announced table. So you
just said let me go. Yeah. I like him. I thought he was great. He announced table. Yeah. And that's just
me. Also got some details this week. A lot of people were asking in the wake of the Alberto Del Rio
thing. Why AJ Lee wasn't fired after the Michelle Beetle incident. And the inside information has
been that Vince saws as more of a big picture that firing her would be worse for the big picture.
Oh, because now he, she's married this year. Well, this is before they were married. Oh,
they were engaged at the time. This is before they were married. But she was, excuse me,
one of the strongest teams you have in the roster. Yeah. Russ says the boat to return,
but we'll be played at FAU Stadium. I didn't know FAU Stadium was that big of a deal. I graduated
in their high school or I graduated in their gymnasium. I graduated high school there. Many people
can they hold in this stadium. I don't have to have a buddy who's in a llama. I have to ask,
that's kind of that. Also tomorrow night in case you were living a cave in having to watch any
WWE programming this week. Hogan's birthday bash tomorrow night. Oh, boy. Yeah. And there is talk of an
N-W-O reunion. Hall of Nash. Really? No, no, no, no, no, no, Sean. Well, I'm not heard any talk about him.
I don't need him on the way from it. Russ wants to know that maybe TNA would be interested in
Alberto Del Rio. I just don't know if you're fired if you're non-competes to apply. And if it does,
they might be gone by the time. I've got to say it. Yeah. Exactly. It's Marcus Bagwell has a
burned his bridge with his. He's burnt his bridge with everybody. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we'll see if there's
there's a reunion tomorrow night. And I've had enough of this fluff. What about favorite lines
ever about? Bring back Scott Norton. He has the most powerful force in professional wrestling. Yeah. Yes.
And you, we may have some problems with this thing. The nation 2.0 may be done. Really.
Creative is having a tough time, apparently. Trying to work a nation stable into the current
PG era. Okay. See that. And in Australia this weekend, Kofi's been back working face and
Biggie's been working by himself. Now, they're saying this could have just been something for the
Australian tour. But there's no reason to really have the nation 2.0. What do they do? They
come out and a lot of people think that they're trying to rip on the deal that they're doing
in TNA with Lashley and MVP and all that. Does the WWE honestly need to rip on TNA? He's not.
You just bring yourself down to the competitors. Exactly. Don't say who cares about
Hogan. He needs to go back to the old folks. I was sort of feeling on his paperwork for social security.
Here's my question on that. Who says he hasn't already felt about the past? I've got to say you
think it hasn't already been handled. He needs money so bad right now. And you my food stamps brother.
I need it for my vitamins. Yeah. And my prayers in my bills. All right boys, let's talk about raw a little
bit. You know, God bless WWE. They really want me to care about seeing a listener. They really,
really do. They have been shoving that down our throats. How long was that interview? Let's
talk in all that. Yeah. Well, okay, it's really good. Yeah, I lost the right channel. We're okay.
I'm pretty sure how fast forward it was nearly two segments of that. Oh, I did. I know there's
another two more on SmackDown. The same two. And it's the week before the go home show and you
couldn't get either one of them on the show. Yeah. And I said it last week's show. What do something
pre-taped? Well, they did. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. You don't
understand as a scene it comes out. Oh, he's a about it for you. He's a good guy. He'll be a great
challenge. And Brock just comes out and just is talking just mad noise about him. And if you
wouldn't have been seen at doing that, you wonder why he has Paul Haman listen to him cut a promo
now you know. And apparently there was a story when they were here in Dallas a few months ago.
For Raw. Apparently, Hayman and Lesnar and Sable went to a local eatery. They asked they called
the head and asked them to stay open. And ended up going there. And they said that Lesnar was one of
the nicest guys ever. And you hear a lot of stories about Lesnar kind of heismitting people. He signed
autographs. He said the only thing he wouldn't do was take pictures, which I respect that. Yeah,
you know. Apparently left a very hefty tip for not only the server but the manager. Wow.
Yeah. So and they said Sable was great and Hayman was great. So I really can't hate
on them for that. You know, you take care of people. I'm cool with you. Yeah. But they do
can't kind of promote. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You can't wrestle either. And if Rooset is on the
card, I feel bad for the people that sit on TV side when they've hopped a flag down.
And that's all that. This silence was definitely done. Also, I would love it if we could
have the key to call off to like a legends run in and just bum rush Rooset. Even though he's
from Charlotte North Carolina. Yeah. When I found out he had a horribly thick Southern accent
it ruined my world. I'm like, that dude pulls off a Russian accent really well. Yeah,
Darwin wants us to talk about the, did you watch Raw? I'm fast forward. Did you see
Fondango's new dance partner? Yes. Oh my god. I thought I'm nearly through the TV off the balcony.
You haven't lived it's that you've seen a whole swaggle and vinyl reflective gear.
My head turns back on now. I hate him. I really hate him. That is a
point that I, I, I, I seriously, I stopped the recording every week. Like I don't record
Raw anymore now. Oh really. And I, that's when I deleted Raw. Like that, that was my stopping point.
That's, I deleted it. So I don't have to watch it anymore. That's him dropping the microphone.
And so they made the announcement by the way. Actually, we'll talk about during SmackDown
because I got that listed. The network's going to go live in 170 countries this week.
But not in the UK until October 1st. Are we still that mad at the brids?
Wow, they can hold a grudge from 1776. Yeah. I was like 170 countries, but not England.
And I don't get it because they love it. Yes. No matter no matter what you give them. There's gotta be,
no, no, no, no, no. You can't be that they don't want to. There's gotta be, there's,
there's gotta be something blocking it. There's probably something else. There's gotta be something
legislation that has to be asked. Because JBL said, you know, JBL lives in Bermuda.
And he said, you know, Dermuda is a British territory and we're getting it October 1st.
So I was like, really? Yeah. But but like I said, with the network, stick with it, investors,
give it through the end of the year. Because you're going to get your 1.2 million subscribers. I promise
you that people are panicking and they don't need to be. And am I the only one that
realize that the miz has my haircut from the third grade? What's going on there?
Coming. Uh, Don says Nikita has really put pro wrestling behind him. And he is now a devout minister.
He was even on a reality show about preachers and daughters. I don't know how they would even
go back if they gave him the Hall of Fame. He's a Hall of Fame, my personal opinion. Yeah. Yeah.
His run with the US title was one of the strongest that I've seen in my lifetime.
To do, do, do, do. You're going to hear this on Sunday. Maybe you might hear it tomorrow.
I were hoping. Yeah. Well, let's talk about the impact in the meantime. Apparently,
the president of Spike TV attended the August 6th impact tapings, which a lot of people are
seeing as a positive sign. As we know, the deal is up in October. And there's a lot of rumors
saying Spike doesn't want it. How bad is it when Spike doesn't want you anymore? They do
crappy Comic Con coverage. Yes. And how hard is it to do to do, to do, to be a crappy coverage
for that, especially when you charge when you air it two days after the convention is over.
You have no competition. None. Because G4 is not even the thing anymore. And they were the
kings of Comic Con coverage. Let me start it on that. So we started an impact with a monster's
ball match with Bram and Abyss. You know, I don't care how old I get. I don't care how many times
I see it. Thumbtax spots will never not freak me out. I don't care who you are. Watching somebody
get chokesland onto a bunch of thumbtacks will always mean. Logically, I see no way that wouldn't hurt.
So much us getting them removed. That's a bad day. I just remember whenever I would see
fully do that. Like you would pick Thumbtax up and just stick them into his forehead.
Like you really are crazy. You really are out of your gord. And Loki made his return again.
I really think he needs to be a Star Wars villain. Dude.
Well, he's already in Avengers villain. The way he talks. No, that's low key. Not low key.
Did he come back in a high style or was he just kind of alive? No, he was in the, it was
destination acts. I mean, it was so. He was, it was in the three way match for the,
there's a lot of time visibility. Oh, yeah. Okay. And by the way, Samoa Joe's your new
ex division champion. What? Again. Okay. And I'd like to quote EC3 quote, there is no way that
Dixie Carter will ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever go through a table. We should have
probably edited that promo out since they showed the teaser for it the week before. They told
us it was going to happen. And lastly, an MVP and Kenny King come out with with some ladies.
I'm not going to say they were low quality ladies. One of them was good looking, but the other
four. So let me tell you the golf bother. Look at them and win. Pass. That's all I'm saying.
Yeah. Ouch. Those were some handsome women. That's all I'm telling you.
If you, if you didn't, if you didn't understand the TNA budget, you do now. People, you can't even
like not pay them just to have them on TV for exposure. And I was, I was texting back and forth
with a friend of the show Stephen Zimmerman on Thursday night as I was watching him back. And
the last two weeks of impact have been decent. And it frustrates me because it's like you show
me these flashes of greatness. You know, wolves hearties was an amazing match. The hardcore war,
the four on four, where you had Snitzky and Ezekiel Jackson and EC3 and Rhino,
against Bowley Ray, Devon, Tommy Dreamer and their mystery partner, who turned out to be
Al Snow, who by the way can still go. Really. He came out with head and everybody in the Manhattan
Center had the styrofoam heads and it was awesome. I just read how much I love that entrance.
You know, but that back was quality. It was a good match. Really. Yes. Did Al Snow do a lot of
wrestling in WWE or did he just do like a lot of sitting around and waving the head? No,
he did some of this stuff, like especially during the invasion. Oh, that's right. Yeah.
But he, he looks great. He can still go. So Kudos to Al Snow and it was a great match. And I was like,
why is this? Why can you not do this consistently? And you wonder why you're having the problems
that you're having? When, when will this just buy out TNA secretly and just have them?
Petties on the dollar, man. They'll get it for pennies on the dollar. Now, but I'll give credit to Dixie
for taking the bump. She took the bump through the table and apparently she legitimately got injured.
And if you watch it, I think Bowley tried to hold on to her and secure her too much. And she kind of
jerked back and forth a little bit. Right. But it was a good spot. And she took the spot.
And that place was nuts. I can imagine. Stay in New York, TNA. Stay in New York and build your
audience. Was there more than 47 people there? Dude, the place was pretty full. I mean, it looked
like a good, and it was a great. The crowd was totally into it. Yeah. They were totally into it.
The problem is it gives them like actual wrestling, not the product they're used to seeing
up there. Titan. Oh, plus it was in the Manhattan Center where raw really got its legs. Yeah.
I mean, you're not going to get your, that's what's a gold mine. Yeah. You're not going to get your,
your big screen in there. But yeah. Right now, you don't need it. Yeah. Get your product right first.
It was more or less like when that one is the birthplace of raw. Yes. Yeah. That's what I'm saying.
And, and that crowd was on fire for them. And wouldn't ECW based there, too? That was more
at the Hammerstein. Was it okay? Okay. They did some stuff in the Manhattan Center too. Yeah. They
looked very similar. I was talking some SmackDown headline, shall we? So a graphic comes out this
past week talking about SmackDown going back to Thursdays. Oh, man, because that's going to
make it better. And that has caused panic in the TNA locker room. Really? Because it'd be out
an hour earlier. So yeah. That's what's causing panic in the TNA locker. Because SmackDown would be
Smack, I mean, not the worry of a WWE's going to take the ratings. They're going to take the ratings
from. I'll still record both of them. But still, how about your product sucks consistently?
That should make you panic. We're going to have to see how that works out. Also, there are rumors
that if you watched Raw on Monday night, Kane gave his mask back to Stephanie and Triple H. And
then walked away. Yeah. The rumors are that we're going to get him turned into Jacob Goodnight,
his character from Sino Evil. Oh, stop it. Late for that. Yeah. By about a decade and a half.
Are they doing a sequel to that or something? Yeah, no, it's coming out. Oh, it's happening.
Also, I feel bad that I didn't realize this, but Sheamus has been off the roster for a couple
of weeks. He's been fighting the flu, but he's back now. So he's back on the road. Wow. Yeah,
I had no clue. Yeah. What does that say? Like, I know. Because I like Sheamus. I mean,
no, but I got that probably, but I got that healthy can be having to battle the flu for that
long. He doesn't really bad to drain. Yeah. And Scott Steiner was interviewed at San Diego
Comic-Con. And he claims that he was offered a legend's deal, but his lawyer said quote,
it was not worth the paper. It was printed on versus the millions you're making right now.
And it's even worse because as he's doing the interview, he's wearing an NWOT shirt.
How stupid can you be? I, I, I somewhere, his brother Rick's going.
I always like Rick's underbitter anyway. Yeah. The dog face grim with loved him.
Let's talk a little bit of smack-down stuff here. I just want to say Dean Ambrose rules.
He comes out in the beginning to cut a promo. Because remember, Monday night he wins his match.
So he gets to add, he wins the beat to clock challenge. So he gets the name the stipulation for
his match with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. And he's going through this list of these horrible
gimmick matches. It's going to be done. He goes, now we could have a, well, we could have a loser
most triple H as law. And but I think he's probably already doing. His promo was for real.
This guy has to, if he can just turn you around a little bit, has it on the mic? Absolutely.
But in the ring with the, with the over the top overselling of his, of his facial expressions,
he just, he's still, he's still needs to work on that. And if you missed it, um,
I forgot what was going on. Oh, if you missed it on SmackDown, it will be a lumberjack match.
I'm digging him as a character now. Yeah, I mean, he's, you know, on Monday during RAW, he grabbed,
during Rawlins' match, he grabbed the briefcase and, like, ripped up the contract in the briefcase,
and poured some popcorn and soda in the briefcase, and then put JBL's hat in the briefcase.
Yeah, and this is Amazon's doing this. Yes. What may be mad about that is I'm like,
JBL, you could wipe, mop the floor with this guy. And you just let him do that. But if you
listen to last week's show, remember when Randy ripped the monitors out, ripped out the monitors.
Ooh, JBL's iPad to the side. Speaking of Randy, oh, we're going to talk about that in tech talk.
That's on tech talk. Okay. Okay. Good. I know where you're going with that.
And Chad, you were asking where French he was. We found him. He showed up on SmackDown,
and a tag team match with Mark Henry. Against right back, so. But French he's back, so
I'm cool. It just seems to be weird that these guys are just kind of disappearing with that
of belief on the radar. Well, I know, French he had to go make a movie. He was doing a movie.
You can't have that. No, he's too. No, this was like, this is like a, he's like a horror film that
he's doing. He's like really excited because he's like, I get to play like a bad guy at a horror
flick. Oh, but it worked out so well for King. Well, and you know Chad, you missed WWE
programming this week. So you missed Triple H, shilling the crap out of the network. And for only
999, that was the bit. Can I, he said about 150 times. Can I still align from office space? I can't
exactly say I've been missing it. And it was so bad that on SmackDown Friday night, they actually
had a thing on the corner for hashtag 999. No, not ID. I saw that back and up all over social
man. How much was it again? How much was it again? Zina with Sina was funny. She's like,
so how much is the WWE? That's it. Yeah. If people thought she was serious, she was like, I wish
I could type surges. You can. You just put like in parentheses, I roll or something, you know,
just to indicate you don't really have to get back to me on this one. Yeah. But people were actually
reacting like she was serious. I was like, come on, people. That just, that goes show you man.
Mark still out there. And it's the reason why the product is the way it is. Well,
good, whatever I saw that, I started to say something to you. It's 9999, isn't it? Because I hadn't seen
it yet. I'm like, so not everybody would have seen that. They would have said the same thing I did.
I'm sure I'm sarcasm. You can't hashtag sarcasm. All right. Let's talk movies, boys.
Not that one. I need this one. Good. Box office numbers this week.
Movies dropping out of the top 10 this week. We have five. Wow. Half the no four. I'm sorry.
Dropping from 7 to 11 this week is the purge and archie just under $2.3 million for a four week total
of $68.6 million on a $9 million budget. Wow. Also dropping out this week, a most wanted man
dropped from 10 to 12, $2.2 million as well. Three week total of $10.4 million. I do not have a
budget on that. Dropping from 9 to 14 is and so it goes $1.3 million for a three week total of
13.3 million dollars. But I think it made its money. And dropping from 8 to 15 this week is sex tape.
$1.2 million for a four week total of $37 million on a $40 million budget. Probably the worst
review film of the year so far. That I cannot confirm or deny.
In 10 place this week dropping from 6 to 10 planes fire and rescue 2.4 one nine million dollars
for a four week total of $53 million on a $50 million budget. That is going to crawl across the
finish line. 9th place this week dropping from 5 to 9 is dawn of the planet of the apes. 4.4 million
dollars for a five week total of $197.8 million on a $170 million budget. So I think it will make
up the difference on Bluraine dbd. Oh absolutely $50 million per motion. 8th place dropping from
the bronze medal to 8th place and to chad this may get on up. $5 million for a two week total of
23 million dollars. I do not have a budget available for my friends at boxofficemojo.com. It's a shame.
It just came out in the middle of a bunch of blockbusters dropping from 4 to 7 is Hercules.
5.7 million dollars for a three week total of $63.5 million on a $100 million budget.
It was I was excited about this movie and it was terrible. This could be the first rocking rock
movie that he starred in since the boom that may not make the $100 million more. Day viewing in
6th place step up all in. No I'm not. 6.6 million dollars. I do not have a budget. Lucy drops
from the silver medal to 5th place this week. You said you did not enjoy that. Is that correct?
Yeah. I don't see any format I would ever watch that again. Really? Yeah.
You're the only person I've heard say anything bad about it. 9.3 million dollars for a three week
total of $97.4 million on a $40 million budget. So it's made its money.
Day viewing in 4th place is the Oprah Steven Spielberg collaboration the 100 foot journey makes
11.2 million dollars. 22 million dollar budget on this. Pretty much all of it going to hell
and mirror. She's the only one I've heard of on that thing in the bronze medal into the storm
or as I like to call it, Twister 2.4.0. $18 million dollars. $50 million dollars budget.
So there's that. Russ says Big Show is going to be in the WWE
from called Vendetta. That's what he's been filming. Not V for Vendetta. Just last week's winner
drops to the silver medal this week. Guardians of the Galaxy makes another 41.5 million dollars
in two weeks. It has made $175,76 million dollars on a $170 million budget by the way kids for
those of you keeping track worldwide over $250 million dollars right now. Guardians of the Galaxy
also put Disney's box office receipts for the year over a billion. Wow. And winning the weekend
and why would it. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. $65 million dollars. No desire at all.
On a $125 million dollar budget. Oh, make it. In case you were wondering,
he has you in Ninja Turtles too. We'll already been already been going. Oh yeah.
I've already been green light. Oh yeah. But let's go back to Guardians because that's a
lot of much more fun to talk about. And it's one of you say green light. I know.
That's it. I'm like. Oh, James Gunn had a birthday the other day. Oh, I'm sorry.
I don't know. Like what happens at the end? That's why I say it's fine. It's been green light. Not the
turtles. Okay. Yeah. James Gunn has a birthday the other day. Disney sends him
an infinity gem inside of an orb with a quote from Chris Praffin movie that was a good plan.
Also, he something I learned this week. The Baptista apparently collects lunchboxes. He loves
lunchboxes. Really? So James Gunn made him a custom dragster destroyer lunchbox. That has
drags on it and says it's written on the front of it. Thumb to the throat means death.
And Batista gives Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana custom WWE title belts. Awesome. So
nothing for probably Cooper or Vin Diesel apparently. I'm probably didn't get the
know them as well because they want to see Guardians of the Galaxy. Yes, yes you do. Every
frame of that movie is amazing. I mean the extra scene was a little bit to be desired. Yeah,
it was kind of stupid. So universal because they can't be out done in rebooting franchises.
They will be rebooting and Rice's Vampire Chronicles. That's not all of her that they were rebooting.
Oh, please share. They're talking about rebooting their entire movie monster. Oh, yeah, we're going to
talk about that before. Yeah. So it's just a bunch of that's already in production. So it's just
interesting that they're that they're taking this along with it as well. Also getting a movie
being produced by Judd Apatow and I can't play anything by them because it's a family show.
The lonely island Andy Sandberg and the boys are getting a movie have fun with all that.
I'll bet there will be some kind of yachting excursion. It's all I'm saying.
And Michael Fassbender in an interview this week says he's still doing Assassin's Creed.
It is still happening. Do we know who's but speaking of movies based on video games? Who the heck
is playing Agent 47 in the new hitman? No all the fans are not coming back. One moment, please.
There's a new hitman. Yep. Wow. And it's called Agent 47. Oh, that's all. Yeah, do that. Yeah.
God boy. Rupert friend. This playing Agent 47. Why do I know that name? You would know him
from boy in the strike for pajamas. No, I haven't said to that. He put himself through it. He's in the new
Terry Gilliam film of zero theorem. He was on home land. Five days of war.
The young Victoria. The last legion. His degree is not going to come back for this
movie. Probably. But playing John Smith in the movie is one Zach Quintel.
So I'm on board with this. February 27, 2015 is your release date. A Syrian
hines is in it. Hannah Wear. Those are all the names. Rupert friend is like a he could pass
for Orlando blooms twin or something. I just need to see a trailer. So I'm saying. All right,
movie new releases and places you see movie new releases in this week.
Russ the question you're asking can be found on iTunes.
I want to know how something at the wind's beer was. Oh, oh. God is hard not to talk about it.
We have a Wednesday release this week if this song would ever get underway. Thank you.
Another way has made their foray in the film as let's be cops released. I've heard good things.
I'm not sure what the uh, I'm just hoping that all the funny parts are not in the trailer.
Well, I heard they said they stole one of the jokes from a haunted house movie. Yeah.
There he is in 1847. That's Rupert friend.
He he looks he looks like Orlando Bloom. Doesn't he? Yeah, but let's be cops does not have a rating yet.
And I know they've done press screenings. So that's it. I think it's going to be R.
Now I'm talking about like a rotten tomatoes rating. Oh, really? And I know it's been screening because I know people have seen it.
But maybe they're maybe they're under uh under gag orders a man. Also releasing this Friday.
The expendables three.
Ronda Rossi man. Oh, and they're going after the pirates on this thing, man.
They're going after go daddy. They're going after all sorts of uh it's out there. It is out there right now.
And then the pair with the version that's out there is a high quality. Really? Yes.
Movie called the giver, which has been getting a lot of press lately.
And it is not about the guy that you choose commercial. That's it. That's your only thing I can think.
Hello, I am the giver. You all use my modus up on Randy. Is this a movie about giving and receiving
and resounding and giving? No, no. The haunting story of the giver centers on Jonas played by a
Brenton Fwates, a young man who lives in a seemingly ideal of colorless world of conformity and contentment.
Yet as he begins to spend time with the giver played by Jeff Bridges, who is the sole keeper of all the
communities and memories. Jonas quickly begins to discover the dark and deadly truths of the community secret
past. With his newfound power of knowledge, he realizes that the stakes are higher than ever a
magic, a matter of life and death for himself and those he loves most. At extreme odds, Jonas knows that
he must escape their world to protect them all. A challenge that no one has ever succeeded at before.
Katie Holmes is in this, Maryle Streep is in this, Alexander Skars guard is in this.
So there's that. Maryle Streep looks rugged in the trailer for it. I've seen this trailer now.
It looks very much like divergent. Also a movie called Frank,
which if you've seen the trailer for this, it's really weird looking. It's fast bender in a really big
mask and he doesn't talk in the whole thing. Okay, but Maggie Jill and Halls in this scoot
McNeries in this. He's basically, he's like a wannabe musician and he just kind of gets out of his
range. I've seen the trailer or nothing but trailers. It looks very odd. But somebody
bold enough to put fast bender in a mask and try to sell the movie that way. So he never comes out
of the mask. Not as far as I know. And it's one of his favorite machine masks that's like twice
the width of your body. So it looks like dead mouse, kind of sorta. Also a movie called Life After
Beth with Aubrey Plaza, Dane Dahan, John C. Riley and Molly Shannon. After his girlfriend unexpectedly
dies, Zach is devastated. However, he gets a second chance at love after she rises from the
dead nice. The poster looks funny. What's this called again? It's called Life After Beth.
Did you see what they did there? Yeah, that's clever. Also, it would be called the trip to Italy
with Steve. Can I just say Steve Cougan? And that's all you need, really? Because you know I'm a fan
of him. Let's see. The movie was largely improvised. If it was called the trip. It took me
as Steve Cougan and Rob Bryden are semi-fictionalized versions there of on a restaurant tour around
Northern England. In this witty and incisive follow-up, winter bottom reunites the pair. That
Michael Winterbottom is the director. reunites them for a new culinary road trip, retracing
the steps of the romantic poet's grand tour of Italy and indulging in some of speaking banter
and improvisations and improvisation. I mean, I love Steve Cougan. You did not tell me about the
tagline on Life After Beth's poster. Oh, what is it? Some girls just want to watch the world
but no, really. The look on her. Look at this. I mean, she literally does look dead inside. Look at this.
That looks so. And in a movie that I am claiming gimmick infringement on,
claiming gimmick infringement on Ragnarok. Oh, come on. This should have been on the side
fight channel. Oh, by the way, I want you to look at the poster for Ragnarok and tell me there's
not gimmick infringement there. Oh wait, I think I have a point for your answer.
And lastly, releasing this week that's a worthy talking about a movie called Jake Squared.
This has the great Elias Cotea Senate. Wow. Virginia Madson, Jennifer Jason Lee,
James Seymour. Jake Klein, who's a 50 year old sets out to make a movie. He hires an actor to play
himself and throws a big party. Whoa. Yeah, he just saw the poster.
gimmick infringement. Oh my god. His idea is, and it's gimmick infringement of Mortal Kombat.
Oh yeah, what? Wow. Yeah. His idea is to shoot the heck out of it and see what he gets.
But everything spins out of control as different unexpected people show up. Old loves are there,
new loves are there. His dead father mother when she was young, his kids, his ex wife,
even his younger selves are there. And every one of them has tons of advice on how to fix his
screwed up life. Why not? By the way, breaking news, congratulations, Rory Makaroi,
wins his second PGA championship in his fourth major beating Phil Nicholson by one stroke.
Well, they played the heck out of that thing on CBS, man. That's what they do for majors, man.
No, like when I turned on my turn on my TV to watch Craig Ferguson Friday. I was either Thursday or Friday.
They were still doing coverage on it. Yeah. Midnight. All right. DVD and blue right
new releases and places you get DVD and blue right new releases this week. There's a new Batman
animated feature, a salt on Arkham. And I like the style of this thing. Very film noir looking.
And I'm on board as Batman should be. Also the Disney nature of documentary bears
available this week. The Railway man. If you have not seen this film do yourself a solid. Oh,
and just FYI, Conroy is the voice of Batman again on this one. They're not going outside the realm again.
Looney tunes, the platinum collection volume three comes out this week.
Obviously nobody cares. Um, another great movie with Tom Hardy called Lock.
I figured you'd be at least interested in that. No, not. I was reading it. I would watch it on TV
but never own it. Oh, I've got the first volume. I've got it for my birthday last year.
Because I never have bought the second one. So, but a movie called Lock with Tom Hardy,
we're basically the entire film takes place with him in a car. To, and it sounds really simple,
but it's really, really good as a lock. That's a name. I know. Yeah. But no, it's really,
really, really good. Which reminds me, have y'all seen the Mad Mac trailer again. No. Yes.
It looks pretty good. Fury wrote, he's P's Max. How hard he's Max. So,
Don says that Roy is a third youngest person to win a fourth major behind Tyga Wu's and
Jack Nicholas. Congratulations, Roy. Good job. Also, I'm Blue Ray and DVD this week,
a haunted house too in case she missed a five minutes it's spent in theaters.
Foreign film Love Streams gets the criteria in collection this week and Muppet's most wanted
available for all of you in this week. I've been ever had a heck out of it for about a month.
All right. Let's get to Tech Corner, gentlemen.
Your first pictures of WWE 2K 15 service. Can you pull those up so that Andrew can see them?
I don't know where you found them. I saw it. It was on a 4-1-1 make. I saw some earlier this week.
Did you see the pictures of Orton? No, I didn't see those.
I just saw the cover. That's all. I don't know. Screen shots have surfaced. Really.
It is. You know, you can remember usually when we see Orton in a video game it just doesn't look
right. Yeah. They got it right. Really. Yes. If you go to go to 4-1-1-1,
Mania.com and go to the wrestling news. That's I don't remember if it's on the first page or not.
But, uh, second-pulting.
This chat was over here yesterday and I showed it to him and he was like,
Dear god, man. Let's see.
I don't see them. I've got it. I've got it. Andrew. Yeah. That's me. Man.
You really want to, yeah. Look at the top of these because one of the bottom is 2K 14.
Go on on the top is 2K 15. Now I'm going to go back one so you can see the other one they showed
on for. Wow. Look at the difference. It's in 14 and 15. You remember back in the day whenever
like, yeah, Madden got so good that like if you just squinted your eyes a little bit, it looked like
you were watching a regular football game. You don't have to squint anymore. I just lost my
cool. I was like, oh my god, dude. Yeah. That's a myth. Yeah. That's the best rendering of
Orton I'd ever seen. It looks like they went like super high. Well, it's it's Xbox 1 and PS4
that you're looking at. And there will be a Hulchomania version of the game you can buy.
I know one of the things it comes with is a piece of the ring apron. I want to say
for myself, I mean, yeah. Really. Yeah. At least I can pull it up. Can't believe they're not doing
a sting icon edition of that game. It's because they hasn't been in the ring yet. They really
can't do it. Well, who would buy it if they had the last time we saw Hulchoman wrestle and true
by that rationale. What do you watch DNA? Of course not. Well, then how do you know he didn't
wrestle? Did he? I don't watch it either. Yeah, he wrestled sting. Well, there you go.
You're really sick of bound for glory. Okay. Okay. Okay. You're welcome in your net.
I'm pulling up the IGN has it. Okay. Wow. The packaging looks great. When they
did for the Undertaker last year, you're going to get a copy of the WWE 2K 15 video game,
exclusive premium packaging, exclusive collectible art card autographed by Hulchoman.
You get the the Funko Hollywood Hogan figure. You also get an exclusive piece of authentic ring
canvas from Hulchoman's Monday Night Raw period. That's what it is. You get the two pre-order
launches, exclusive playable Hulchoman characters, Hulchomania and Hollywood, and you get the sting characters, too.
So that's the premium. I think that's going to retail for about $100. I think you can get
on Amazon now. Anything else gentlemen? It's about it. All right. Street lights on. Let's do it.
It is time for the list. We said we had every show to list. That's what I think Cody
asked you like us are. Are you guys still doing a list? Of course we're still doing the list.
It's staples, sir. Chad, you had the list this week, sir. I just pulled up the the details on
the Hulchomania edition. Good Lord. Yeah. We're taking a lot of shelf space. I actually stumbled
across this when I was polishing the list from the last time I had it. I almost went with it that day.
I was like, no, I've already got this list together. So I'll go ahead and go with it. So this week,
it's just something that just kind of fell into my lap. I know how bummed out I have been ever since
the Clinton administration that I have yet to see the return of the smoky bacon cheeseburger from
Wendy's. I'm not here. I'm a hologram. Oh, the burger definitely not here. They've never
put the smokey bacon. It was so good. It had the mushrooms and the smoky cheddar all. No, no,
that was a different one. That was a different one. Was it? Yeah. The, I don't know what that was.
You were a fan of that was like the smoky cheddar burger or something. Yeah. So good. But it always
makes me think to the other fast food items that we haven't seen in a long time. So I stumbled
across the list. It was the top 10 or just 10 fast food items that are apparently gone forever
because we have not seen them returned since. Number 10. Number 10. The McDonald's mixed salad
shakers. And there's a good reason to remember. Yeah. But in this day and age, don't you think it would
go over better now? How do you eat a salad out of a shaker? I'm just saying you've, you've got the
like this emergence of the more health-conscious McDonald's menu protein bars. And then you've
got your, what does that salad place that you're so fond of? That's basically the same concept.
Are you talking about snapping? Yeah. You don't eat it out of a cup. But I'm just saying
in this, in this, get it done yesterday. You rush around, eat your food and get back to work.
I think that this would kind of go over better now than it did back in the 90s, but it died
or relatively quick that. Number nine, the Taco Bell's BLT soft taco, which I was a pretty
big fan. I was a fan of that as well. And you know, I'm not a fan of putting lettuce on anything.
It's not a salad. But I enjoyed it. I thought it was a genius move. This one really hurts me, though.
The Burger King's Burger Shots. Oh, there's their burger minis, wasn't it? They also call them
burger bundles or burger buddies. They're about the size of a white castle. What's the matter with you?
Oh, that's what I like to know. You get a six pack of those things. You were pretty much set.
Here's another one that I never saw why they had this on the menu in the first place, but the Taco Bell's
BLT for. You remember this thing? No. It was basically a Taco Bell sloppy joke. It was the contents of a
taco on a hamburger bun. Like you can get a taco cost. They still do something almost exactly like it,
but it was just taco meat, shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomato. So it was like a ace, ace,
spicy sloppy joke. Oh, God, that sounds awesome. And it never made sense to me. Why they went
pan up there? I mean, you're like, why would I come here and get a burger? They should only
sell it between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. and 1 a.m. and 1 a.m. This one, you can, you can say what you want,
you can feel how you want, but the McDonald's fried apple pie. Because they all are at 1 a.m.
No, they're all baked now. Oh, really? And that's why they removed the fried one from the menu
when replaced it with the baked one. The fruit pie? The apple pie? Yeah, that's unfortunate.
That they're all baked pies at McDonald's. Now you can still go to other fast food establishments
and get a fried pie. But you ain't going to get, yeah, a lot of burgers of great example.
Let you're not going to get a fried pie at McDonald's. The long john silver's peg legs. Do you
remember these things? No, they were chicken legs. They were the the bone and chicken legs. And I
think they caught some flag on calling it a peg legs, so they changed it to the chicken flakes.
And it's been that way in percent. Something that came and went fairly recently, fairly
quickly was the BK chicken fries from Burger King. The chicken fries, I don't remember those.
And I like them. I only got them once or twice and I guess that was probably one. Well, probably,
no, that's probably why it died a quick death because everyone only got them once or twice.
That's okay. Try it moving on. What I think is it going to happen with the saddest fries as well.
I don't see those being around very long. These next three, I think are going to hit you pretty
hard, Rob. Okay. At least I was a huge fan of of number three that McDonald's arched the lux.
What's on a huge fan? I loved the arched the lux. Never had one. And again, in this day and age,
I think it would do better now than it did when they first introduced it because everybody was so
stuck in the hole. I mean, they're getting a big Mac or a quarter pound of cheese and I don't want
anything else. And as I'm getting chicken nuggets, it was when they first really started to break
out of that, you know, everything comes out of a mold. Right. It was more of an artist and type burger
with like a like a bakery style roll. And like I want to say it had like like a deli mustard on it.
But it was really good. I liked it. But it just for whatever reason that just never found its footing.
So it just kind of went away. This next one, I was a huge fan of the Wendy Superbar.
Oh, the Superbar. Yes. Oh, yes. The three stage salad bar was salad bar was one stage and then you had one stage that was all pasta.
And you had another stage that was all Mexican. Like a taco nacho bars. And when I worked at Wendy's, we were supposed to get it and we never did.
Yeah, because it was costing them a fortune. And it was really good. I mean, it was like the stuff that you can get it super salad pretty well.
It's exactly what it was. And I mean, it was all you could eat super. Better than super salad. I think so.
And we terrorized that Wendy's over there by the city. Actually, we hit it every chance we got.
Which is, I guess, why they stopped doing it because it was gone too much money.
The number one on the list, because everyone looked at this like it was just some sort of freaky oddity.
Was the McDonald's McDLT. Not a fan. Apparently you are not alone. Do you remember this Andrew? No.
DLT? The McDLT. What it was? That was the McDLT. Yeah. Is Mc would have been like the family from coming to America.
Well, you know, they had the beef was on one side of a styrofoam container. It looked like how they packed it there.
Their breakfast. I don't know. The beef and the top bun was on one side of it. And then it was sealed off by itself.
And then the bottom half was the cold ingredients. So the hot stays hot the cool stays cool.
It was just a very gimmicky burger that just failed miserably. Almost as bad as crystal peps.
Could you eat it without the sarfoam in between? You take. He's not only. I don't think he's getting the concept.
Oh, yeah, you eat the hot part of it. You take it. Yeah, you open the lid and you you assemble the burger.
Oh, so it tasted more like a fresh made burger. It wasn't sitting in its own. You always did it.
That well, that was that was a concept they were trying to sell us on. So you pay for the burger then you have to put it together yourself.
A lot of people just thought it was an environment. It's kind of like going to taco casa. Yes. It was a very
very environmentally friendly because of the styrofoam packaging was a huge for just a burger. They're like, no, just scrap this. It's just not working.
Yeah, I liked it, but it just again. It was just like an experiment that just didn't work.
I have an honorable mention. Okay. Please do the KFC chicken nuggets. I love those things when they were around when I was young.
Can you see it chicken nuggets? Yeah, and then they went to strips only and I was like, oh, I forgot my childhood.
With a double down won't go away. I hope not. It seemed like they've done away the majority of the snackers.
Like the buffalo snacker, the barbecue snacker. I think the only one that they have left is the original recipe or the crispy snacker.
Because I ate the buffalo snacker all the time and I don't see it on a menu anymore.
It may have been costed on too much just to store. I do miss the BK sliders though. Those are awesome. Yeah, I was a huge fan of the burger shots.
But let's say brought back the burger, the barbecue burger back. Now when he's also did a barbecue Swiss burger at one time that I was really a big fan of barbecue.
This yeah, I don't really read this. This is way back when I worked there I was 14
And it was really really good. I do not have any recollection of this. You would have a better recollection of
Of dead Wendy's menu items than I would the Superbar was a big one for me
That's because we didn't have it at my Wendy's, but I knew the one that they did and we always went there. Oh, yeah
We would we would shut that thing down
That sounds amazing. It was great man. And it was cheap
It was like when the bad at all. Yeah five six bucks a person or something like that. All right gentlemen. Let's do the plugs
