So he flies out on Tuesday to see my sister Montana to go down Wyoming.
And he missed Toby Keith last night because someone on the plane gave him a cold.
I call him this morning and I said, hey, happy father's day.
That's Rodgers got the cold and he missed half the he goes halfway across the country
to see the thing and he gets sick.
So somebody on the plane gave him a bug.
So dad, I feel for you.
Happy father's day anyways.
Poor guy.

We still saw him on the show and saw the family.

The chase will start on September the 20th.
And that's just like the top 10 isn't in the chase.
Actually, after next week, NBC has every race for the rest of the season between NBC
proper and NBC SN.

So they're going to hold gamut now.
They really are.
Maybe they're splitting the season between the two networks.
Is ESPN just getting out of the game?
I don't know.
Because always think of Fox or ESPN on the NASCAR and everything, you know, like CBS is
known for the March madness, you know, and Fox has always been known for the NASCAR and
football.

Well, they split that.
But that was their kind of deal was as always on Fox.

Let's get into some TV talk not much to talk about this week.

But it's an interesting one.
Netflix really starting to up their game when it comes to television series.
Yeah.
Where they're doing the deal where they're basically releasing all of the seasons at
one time.
Now, there will be a show next year.
I don't have the name of it on me.
But they're actually doing their first episodic week by week series next year.
Oh, so it's going to be like a week week thing.
I said releasing them all at the same time.
But this, the specific series we're talking about is called the ranch.
Coming up later this year.
It's about a semi-pro football player who returns to run his family,
ranch with his brother.
Now, you give that pitch and you're like, OK, I can see that whatever.
I said that on TMT, but yeah, it's the stars of this that are the intriguing
part.
As two members of that 70 show reunite, Danny Masterson and Ashton Kutcher.
So they're going to do reunite them.
So hide and Kelso.
Okay.
They're going to be bad.
They're going to be back together.
And I'm a big fan of Danny Masterson.
He's very underrated.
But in fact, she had a they got, uh, I did watch the first season of the,
which is that one, the plague thing or whatever of the virus strain, the strain.
Yeah, that one's coming next month, but, you know, they just ended just a
fight, and they just ended, you know, a sense of anarchy.
Garret's it's all that's been a while now.
Yeah, yeah, a couple months.
But now they're, you know, just trying to reopen get something different.
I don't know if they should end it since a banarchy.
Well, FX has also ended the bridge of the court.
Yeah, that I tried the first season.
Can you finish it?
Shouldn't get into it.
I can think I watched about five of them and that was it.
And speaking of television, uh, yeah.
Father's day today, the, uh, the fur balls instructed my wife to go to Walmart
and get me season four of Game of Thrones on Blue Right.
Oh, did they?
So there's the very thankful for that.
So Jasper and Tuflus actually paid off for once, huh?
They did.
They all, they pay off in regular dividends.
They're just not in their own state of defense.
Yeah, but, uh, and got, got some, uh, got some pajama shorts from my wife,
which I desperately need.
All I have is pajama pants and living in Dallas in June and July,
having pajama pants is a bad idea.
Well, you know, Tuflus has up money now from starting inside out at the very end.
You know, a lot of people say that and I haven't seen it.

Probably just to get people to watch the network and say,
hey, we're having this at this time.
This is something new.
But anytime after that, I understand.
You can watch it.
Why not just make the whole thing on demand?
Well, it's still going to be on demand right after it airs.
But what I'm saying is, my, I guess my question is,
what's the better business model for this?
The way they're doing it now.
Let it all happen anyway.
Or we're going to premiere this tonight after raw, but you
won't be able to watch it on demand for a week.
Because if you're going to do it, I mean, if you want to work at like a regular network,
where you schedule stuff that runs.
Because you can just basically set the network up, let it run,
and you'll be, you'll get constant streaming programming 24.7.
Yeah.
So the question is,

We're talking about the WWE network network in the
fact that you can schedule that they have a schedule.
I mean, I get the fact that they want to be like, they want to treat it like it's a network.
I understand.
But it's not.
You know, it's, it's not like I have to go to the guide on my, on my Uverse.
And go, hey, when is, when are they showing the ultimate warrior documentary?
I just go on there right now.
I want to do warrior documentary.
You know, it kind of takes away from the urgency.
Even someone like NXT, I can go watch every NXT episode that they've ever aired right now.
But when it was, when does the new one come out?
When is the United Seven?
So I could kind of see that.
Here's when it comes out the new one.
In case you want to see it, right, when it comes.
But for me, it takes a lot of the specialness if that's a word away from it.
But I will say this on the other hand, you look at all these other networks.
You name it from Fox to CBS to HBO to Showtime.
Game of Thrones, for instance, after that episode on Sunday night aired,
it was on on demand the next day.
Right, but that's actually on demand right after it airs.
But you're talking to different, actually three different platforms.
Because you're talking live on HBO versus HBO go versus HBO now.
This is all within the same environment.
That's where the, that's where the oddness comes in for me.
As if I was in the corporate offices there on the network side of WWE,
I would probably do something like that because you wanted to available in case somebody can
see the first half hour.
It's there ready to go.
So they don't miss out.
And I can see I can see your point too, but me as a business person,
you know, you want to keep the people you want to have the stuff available as soon as possible for them.
Yeah, I get that, but I guess I don't know.
It's a, it's a double a short.
There's good points on each side.
The CD the way you want that specialness.
Hey, wait a week.
We might show it two or three times to make it special.
Then the next week it's on, but then some viewers are going to want it.
Hey, I can't see it at that time or that time.
I can't DVR it.
So hey, I want, I want to available soon as it's done because I still want to see that on my own time.
I would be interested to see the numbers of people that watch stuff as the network streams
alive versus it's going to looking at on the archive.
And they probably have these people in the corporate offices who look at that stuff and say,
hey, we're getting good numbers here.
We might just want to do what we're doing.
Because a lot of things that a lot of stats that they're showing now, if they're calling
plus two and plus three years, if you hear that terminology, what that means is,
if it's a plus two, that means this number of households, DVR did and watched it within two days
of air.
Okay.
Plus and the plus two and the plus three are the main things that most most networks watch for.
All right, and what's have if I DVR and I watch it like six days later,
all of that, those numbers they really don't look at.
I don't think okay, because they're looking at more of the people who...
So they know when you watch it, too.
It's it's tracked through your cable system.
Okay, I didn't know that.
Big brother.

You got nothing to hide, you got nothing to worry about.
Exactly.
So.
Yeah, I understand.
It's just interesting to me.
I would like to, I would be interested to find out of the people that we know that have
the WWE network.
How often do you watch stuff as they quote unquote air it live?
Here's my big right still on the WWE.
I do not have it.
I would love to have it.
But the only way I could watch it right now,
because without spending a ton of extra money,
is on your phone.
Is on my phone, or I'm on my computer.
Mm-hmm.
I have it locked up now, where I got the apps on my blue ray player, where I could get Netflix and
the whole kit and Commodore.
And if I could get WWE, that's the same way like I get Netflix.
I would order it in a heartbeat.
And I'm sure I'm not sure why they're not doing that.
That's my big league.
There's only certain like Samsung, I think,
is the only manufacturer they're doing it for TVs and right now.
No, I got it.
I got a Samsung and the EVD player and TV, and it still doesn't fit.
Not there.
No.
I thought Samsung was being released.
It still haven't done that yet.
They said they're going to work on it or get it on it.
And that's a big market.
They're missing out on it.
They're missing out on my 10 bucks a month.
Well, maybe that's an email you need to send.
Say, hey, you guys that was supposed to happen last summer.

Because I do it through my Xbox One.

The entire event got cut a little short due to some rain.
But we had some good time.

I just, I wanted it like when he came to Miami, they did.
They made the finals the first year.
They didn't win it and then they won the other two.
I'd rather have it that way.
You know, just he made the finals.
He went to next year.
You'd be happy.
I did fine with it.
I'd have been fine with it this year.
But I'm more fine with it.
Not getting it this year.

This this is a comic book property called Hellblazer and it's really well done the guy playing and it's also based
The movie Constantine with Cano Reeves is based on the same property, but I think the guy that's playing him in this show
It's a lot closer to what I see in Constantine Matt Ryan is his name
Also another one of my favorite actors Harold Perino is in this show
There's a little young lady by the name of Angelica Celaya
She gets a whole lot of how you doing
In this show number seven is a show I watch five days a week
On ESPN it's called highly questionable with Dan Levittard Beaumonti Jones and Gonzalo Levittard who is Levittard's dad
They talk about sports issues of the day
They also have great interviews with people everyone from athletes to actors to musical artists the whole nine
They do a a segment called do you question where they have like viral videos that they make fun of and then
They also have a segment called see or know or they talk about what's on television that night and they tell you if they're interested or not
I love this show. Yeah, it's fun
And they got to see them a few times. I really enjoy watching that show number six ring of honor
Get on board now kids if you were any form of a wrestling fan you need to be watching ring of honor

So you kind of see how the the rebellion begins

You cut up on season one number four. There's two CNN series the sixties was last year
The seventies is currently going on now. It's a documentary series put together by Tom Hanks and his friends. Okay
It's a really really good look at the decades
Real the sixties was great. I just watched about 15 minutes of the first episode of the seventies
They've done two episodes. It's on Thursday nights
It's very very well done
All right, I could probably be like on there on demand or something. I would assume. Okay, if not I believe the sixties is
I like that kind of stuff. It's really it's it's done
Interview style, but they interject all the actual footage that they're talking about with it and every episode deals with a different
Different facet of the decade whether it be politics whether it be television movies music
Headlines. It's really yeah
Number three another one of my personal favorites on every Sunday night at HBO last week tonight with John Oliver

And there was a sign it said John's he in the drinks bud light line very very you knew
You had to watch that show to get that show very very funny show. It's only a 30-minute show
So get yourself but you could go on a rate. You know he talks a little makes a little jokes about the current goings on
You know that week a couple big headlines
But then he goes he focuses on something that he just thinks there's an injustice on yeah, you know and he could really get in on it
And he goes very very in depth and into the major ones very big. Yeah, because also I want to say one thing
He did one on the pharmaceutical companies and the four reps in everything
When I work at on the board of corporate I told I'd sold catering I did catering cells and half our business was farm
That's now tell you I was gonna say he better bring up about the money they spend a fee these doctors and he did
Yeah, and that was true to a tea. I you know, I saw oh, yeah, it's in one doctor paid 800 bucks
Just you know one rapid 800 bucks to feed the staff to see a doctor for an hour
Yeah, yeah, I like his rant very good number two. I showed that you got to watch a little bit of an pre-show called
Unsung on Tuesday one. It's behind the music, but it more focuses on hip hop and R and V artist
There've been some great episodes there in the middle. They're they're late at season right now
They're last episode. They did was for DJ Quick, which I have on my DVR currently and
Number one and it's a show that's it just started its second season
It's called Holt and catch fire. It's on AMC
It's about the computer boom in the 80s
Is a dramatic show or is it drama takes place in Dallas okay
The first season dealt with the development of the first laptops
This season they're dealing with the genesis of online gaming and all the the roadblocks are hitting where they don't have
Secure phone lines and and things like that. It's really well done. It's it moves a little slow
So be prepared for that
You know, it's it's it's not one of these slam bang look at us. We're hackers kind of thing
It's it's a slow burn, but it's completely worth it
This I mean it shows got some of the best
Some of the some of the best actors that you you've seen and you don't even know who they are
Lea pace who played Ronin the destroyer and Guardians of the Galaxy he was also in the Hobbit trilogy
He's one of the main characters in this scoot McNary who you would know
From he was an argo
Okay, he was one of the one of the people that they were protecting an argo
If I can get this to work McKenzie Davis carry Bishay
A lot of really great this week James Cromwell of this year James Cromwell is on the show. You know, I'm a huge fan of them
Just it's a really really good show, but just be prepared that it doesn't move as fast as a lot of these shows do
Because it's it's telling a very very complex story

I know why they're doing this and what's going on. Okay. It took one heck of a turn if you did not see the last episode
Watch it because now that really revved it up
