Read Transcript
The following is a sooner or greater production.
No one's, no one's, no one's.
Good morning!
Woo!
Woo!
Woo!
Yo, stop.
Are you ready for the jam?
I said are you ready for the jam?
Yo, jeep.
Kick it.
Drum is clean!
Go!
Go!
Keep it going, uh.
Fast forward!
It is Saturday nights, it is 8 o'clock on the east coast, it is 5 o'clock on the west
coast, it is the 2nd of June in the year of our Lord 2000 in 12, it is episode season
2 episode 45, you can believe that, it is time for the clubhouse to do its thing, as it does
each and every Saturday night at 80s to 5 o'clock, we appreciate each and every one of you.
I am Rob, we welcome each and every one of you individually, whether you are listening
live, whether you are listening on archive or whether you are listening on your portable
device, we don't care how you listen, we are just glad that you do.
Chad again, working tonight, as he will be for the next few more weeks, before he gets
a Saturday night off, but we are proud of him for doing that, so of course we have the
rotating 2nd, 3rd and 4th chairs, sitting in Chad's chair tonight, friend of the show,
for his 2nd visit, we welcome Don, hello everybody, how are you doing tonight?
Doing well sir, how much is out?
Doing great, can we get a chair of course, but here again, glad, one time last time, you
know, looking for another good show tonight.
Outstanding sir, could you guys have you here?
Also joining us, he's had a couple of weeks off, so he's built up enough so we can actually
talk more than once every half an hour.
Also a friend of the show, good friend of mine as well, he is Andrew.
Doing it sir.
I am well sir, how are you?
Doing well, you can find me at King of Bowling on Twitter.
Also joining us tonight again, although she says it's the 2nd time in a row, but she can't
do math.
It's the 2nd time in 3 weeks, she took last week off because she had to take care of some
kids entering the real world, not hers, although some might say otherwise.
She is the Justin Timberlake of the clubhouse, she is charla.
Hi, I'm a history major, not a math major, so.
And I didn't realize until you put on Facebook that that was going to be your last graduation.
My last graduation.
Because you're getting ready to go back and finish up your degree, so we're very proud
of you.
Thank you.
Speaking of graduations, we have to send a hello to my nephew Josh Hansen in North Carolina
who graduated high school yesterday, he was born the day after my 20th birthday.
His dad was my mentor and my youth director when I was a kid.
And so Joshy shout out to you brother, I'm proud of you, I saw you put on your Facebook
today.
I'm not Joshy anymore.
I just wouldn't even know what we call it.
He wants to be called.
And let me tell you about, um, I just totally lost my train of thoughts, something just
kind of shut my wheels off and just kind of frustrating, but we're proud of you, Josh.
And looking forward to seeing you sometime very soon.
We start every show that we do each and every week right here on the show with Corrections.
Spot free.
I love this song.
I grew up on this song.
So listen back to the last week's show.
And we were clean.
So I'm very happy about that.
Who'd you have on last week?
Last week, Brigandin was here.
And John was here.
Okay.
Talks a little bit about Dallas Comic-Con, things of its own.
You were in the room.
For a bit.
A little while, but in an out of conscience, this, because I was tired.
I bet you were.
Chad's lovely wife who is of British descent is in the room, good to see you, Jules.
Hey Jules, thanks for not being an able-doer.
Let us start with a little NASCAR.
Last week, we had the Coca-Cola 600, which always takes place in Memorial Day weekend.
And just a couple of hours after the Indy 500 ends.
Always a busy day Memorial Day, that's the day before Memorial Day for racing.
The Coca-Cola 500 at Charlotte, so let's run your top 10, number 10, in the Fastinal
number 17 Ford Matt Tenseth, and number 9 in the 99 Fastinal Ford, Carl Edwards.
So two weeks of a row, we have two guys finish back to back that are in the same
response.
Very confused.
In 8th place, in the number 29 Budweiser Folds of Honor Chevrolet, Kevin Harvick, anybody
got a line on this, the Budweiser Folds of Honor?
I mean, I have something, I'm sure I have something to do with the Memorial Day, but that's
just kind of weird.
In 7th place, in the number 24 drive to End Hunger Chevrolet, Jeff Gordon.
In 6th place, another top 10 finish in the Chevrolet, number 88 National Guard and American
Salute Slash Diet Mountain Dew, Chevrolet, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
And by the way, an American salute is in quotes, that's part of the National Guard's
thing.
It's won.
In 5th place, in the number 2 Dodge Miller Light, Brad keselowski, 4th place in another
Fastinal Ford, number 16 Greg Biffle.
Bronze medal goes to the number 18 Toyota sponsored by M&M's Red, White, and Blue for Kyle
Bush.
In the silver medal, in the FedEx Ground, number 11 Toyota, Denny Hamlin, I'm sorry, FedEx
Ground does not go that fast, I don't care what anybody says.
And winning the Coca-Cola 500, 600, I'm sorry, in the number 5 Quaker State Chevrolet,
Tasey Kane, is your winner in that race.
So that being said, let's update your standings.
The number 12 spot in the points right now would, the magic number would go to Mr. Clint
Boyer, who swaps places with Brad keselowski, number 10 Carl Edwards, he says right where
he was dropping two from seven to nine this week, small Tony Stewart, 8th place moving
up a spot, Kyle Bush, Kevin Harvick also moves up one to seven, Martin Truex, Jr.
holds steady at six, five time, five time, five time, five time, spring cup champion,
Jimmy Johnson holds steady at five, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Denny Hamlin switch places, and
your top two stay the same, Matt Kenseth is 10 points behind Greg Biffle, who is your
leader.
Right now, the difference between 12th place, 12th place, and your winner is only 87 points.
That's it.
So double digit still, and we're just about to the halfway point.
Close season, very close.
Every, every, close season and time just flies.
Coming up tomorrow at 1230 Eastern time, it is the FedEx 400 Bennett's at benefiting autism
speaks at the Dover International Speedway.
Dover, that's Dover, Maryland, right?
Yeah.
It is a one mile oval shaped banking 24 degree track on your local box affiliate.
I thought, yes, being doesn't pick up the contract full time till after 4th of July,
right?
Isn't that when they're supposed to normally take it over?
Don't know that one.
I think it's right after, right after the Stanley Cup finals wrap up and we're just
not only baseball, I think that's when they pick up everything.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
We are live every Saturday night.
You can like us on Facebook.
Look up the clubhouse podcast, please put the word podcast in there.
You can follow the show on Twitter at ClubhouseShow.
You can follow me on Twitter.
Yes, that Rob Irvin, ERVIN, D-FORD 1576 at King of Bowling, and you can follow Chad
at Chad NPG-6-9 for you so I don't get corrections.
There are two dovers in New England, one New Hampshire and one in Delaware.
Maybe it isn't New Hampshire then.
No, it's in Delaware.
I think it's in Delaware.
Somebody don't tell us.
Hi, we're in Delaware.
Hard to believe that movie is old enough to drink.
We're going to do a little TV news for you right now because we are your one-stop shop
for all things sports and entertainment.
Congratulations to the cast of Nurse Jackie with the ED Falco.
They get the renewal from Showtime for Season 5.
Never watched an episode.
It's messed up.
She's messed up.
It'll make you feel better about yourself if you're feeling down.
Kind of like Springer.
Yeah.
So, I'm almost caught up with this next story.
I've still got two more hours to go.
Hatfield and McCoy's debut this week on the history channel.
We talked about it with it.
We got it announced.
We talked about it on this show.
Cody was very excited.
I was very excited.
Finally, debuts.
Man, alive, this thing is good.
I finished the first two parts.
There's one part left.
There are each two out.
We'll over two hours a piece.
You've got commercials in there so you can do the math there.
But the third part alone becomes the number one telecast of all time on ad-based cable.
Part three got 14.2 million viewers.
That was one of a watching live.
It's great.
Bill Paxton, Kevin Costner, Tom Beringer, there's a chick from True Blood in this.
The girl that played Rocket in Sucker Punches in this.
The great powers booth.
Oh, you mentioned his name, I'm in.
Just because he's one of those guys.
He was a bad guy in the Sean Claude Van Dam movie.
Sudden death.
When it took place in the ice rink.
Didn't matter his powers.
He was in it.
Still great.
And you thought the fight was on on this show when the first two parts, part three, the fight
is really on.
I'm ready.
And that sound track.
Oh, great, great score to it.
Part one got 13.9 million viewers.
Sarla, I know you have this on the DVR.
It's on the DVR.
I'm nervous because you just said Kevin Costner and I cannot stand him.
You almost don't think about it being Kevin Costner.
That's how good this is.
OK.
And then you don't want to prove it for the McCoys anyways.
Well, I'll be the judge of that.
But it's a great, great show.
Very upset about this next story.
We kind of knew this was coming.
We talked about rumors of this a couple of months ago on this show.
But yesterday, Andy Sandberg officially announces he will not be returning to Saturday
Night Live.
So officially, we had the departures of Andy Sandberg and Kristen Week.
What's left?
What's left for us now?
Sudakis and Bill Hader.
But how much longer?
The rumors are the Sudakis rumors have been swirling as well.
Because the original announcement was the three of them and not Hader.
Which if you didn't realize if you've seen the trailer for Men in Black 3, that's Bill Hader
playing Andy Warhol, which I thought was great.
I'm a little afraid for my beloved SNL.
How much longer can they keep going?
I've got the last four episodes on my DVR, so I haven't watched them yet.
But I'm a little upset because those four really kind of own that show for the last three or four seasons.
And you've lost half of that talent now.
So there are some great featured players.
I think Abby Elliott's great on that show.
I think she's twice as funny as her old man was.
You all know who Chris Elliott is.
That is her father.
Did a show called Life Sucks or something?
He's not losing about Letterman a lot.
Kind of a goofy looking dude.
Kind of got a little scruffy beard.
You know him if you saw Chris Elliott.
But they're the first father's daughter to ever.
Because he was on SNL for a season.
So it's the first time you've had multi-generations on that show.
You couldn't count Jim Belushi because that's his brother.
But first multi-generational.
I think she's good.
There's a lady whose name I don't want to start.
The seer.
I want to say it's her name.
She's very, very funny.
There is some great talent on that show.
I just don't know if that show can maintain.
I think it will.
It's a staple and they always have a rotating cast over the years all the time too.
But I'm going to be honest with you between 95 and 02.
That show was terrible.
But it also survived 80 to 85 when Lauren Michaels was gone.
Which that was a very, very tough time for that show too because it had no direction.
It was so just.
We're going to throw people out there and hope that God something happens.
If you didn't have Joe Piscopo and Eddie Murphy in those five years.
That show would not be on today.
I'm just, I'm almost finished with live from New York, which is the history of SNL
told by the people that were there.
Great book.
There are some people that cursed the existence of that book because of some of the things that were said.
But Eddie would not be interviewed.
He would not, he would not do interviews for the book.
He's the only one.
Andrew thought.
I don't blame him.
I wouldn't either.
If I carried the show, I wouldn't have any good things to do.
It's hard to believe he was like 18, 19 years old when he started on that show.
And American Idol.
Besides they want to go four to six more seasons and that's it.
Well, how about it being it now?
Please.
I heard that.
Because I just, I did not watch, I think I watched the first episode this season.
And then I was like, yeah, I can't do this.
I'm done.
It's just, it's bad.
Um, I'm just, I've just not been a fan of that show this year.
I saw the kid that wanted who we're going to talk about a little bit later.
And I was like, yeah, just still don't care.
Like, well, I mean, I always try to see the good in the world.
But then I think that Scottie McCreary won last year.
And I lose all faith in humanity.
Fixed, fixed, fixed.
That, that solidified that has fixed for me.
Yeah.
I had some hope when Adam Cook beat Adam Archaleda.
Like, that was some hope to me.
That's a little teeny-bopper heartthrob didn't win.
And then that happened.
I'm like, I'm flipping done.
Because that Lauren Elena blew him out of the water.
Yep.
Who are the judges on that show?
Uh, right now, still Randy Jackson, Stephen Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez,
although depending on the day, Jay Lowe's in her, she's out her, she's in her,
she's out.
I really don't care.
Just spend time with her babies.
I think she's a communist.
And I used to watch the show just to watch the show.
I think she's hot.
I used to watch the show.
A hot communist.
I don't.
I do not find her attractive.
She is gorgeous.
And I'm just like, tell me what you're doing.
Like, I just want to know.
I think her, maybe it's that her persona ruins it for me.
Like the attitude.
I know that attitude.
And that voice comes out of that body.
And she's one of those people that she sounds like when she sings,
she sounds like she talks.
And to me, that's a problem.
Kind of like Mickey James.
I'm just saying.
Just, I'm just saying.
I used to watch just for the auditions for a good laugh.
And beyond that, it's over, it's overgore by karaoke.
But I've always said there are two different demographics that watch American Idol.
There's the people that watch it for the train wreck.
And then there's the people like me that watched it for the actual talent as it went on.
But it just, when you don't have that stabilizing force that's willing to be real with these kids,
that show gets out of control like it has the last two seasons.
And that's just my personal opinion.
You are listening to the Clubhouse.
Make sure you stop by our website.
www.theclubhousewithorobincoated.com.
Get you some shwink.
I just like to say that.
Let us move on right now to MMA talk.
Did I mention these guys were in town last night?
Yes.
I saw some pictures from the show.
By the way, if you haven't seen this tour, it's Nickelback, Bush, Sealer, and My Darkest Days.
Which is a great combination.
But apparently during the middle of the Nickelback shows could be a spoiler alert and I don't care.
They're all on this round platform plan.
And the entire platform lifted up into the air.
And I was like, that would have been cool to see.
But yeah, it was a day.
A little bit of an awkward turtle moment last Saturday night at UFC Night of the Heavyweights
as Brock Lesnar was there.
Apparently, you know, Dana was kind of dancing around that at the press conference.
You know, being kind of coy.
Reports come out later that the meeting between Lesnar and Dana did not go well.
Holy yeah.
Why would we go well?
That's not surprising.
But if you're Dana, do you even take the risk on this guy?
No.
Because I watched the last fight.
Alistar over him hit him with a body shot.
And that diverticulitis is killing him.
Yeah.
And he said he was like, I couldn't train as hard as I wanted to.
I'm like, didn't get out.
Just go away.
If you're not 100% you really can't be a spoiler alert.
He looked terrible when his WWE reday view.
It would Vince let him do the UCF fly still in the contract.
UFC.
UCF is the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Sorry.
UFC, would he allow them to do that?
Obviously, Vince is okay with him being there.
Well, being there, but participating and going back is another thing.
You can't do both, right?
That's what he's wanting to do.
King Muller-Wall doing strike force and TMA.
Well, let's not compare TNA to WWE now.
Lately, yeah, you can.
And we're going to talk about that here in a minute.
Then we find out on Friday or Thursday, Jason Mayhem Miller is done in the UFC.
Dana apparently has had enough of this guy's shenanigans.
I think he's funny.
I think he's entertaining.
He showed up to the weigh-ins with like these pink sunglasses and a huge pink boom box.
I thought it was funny.
But apparently something happened backstage.
Dana is apparently, he says, this guy is done in the UFC period.
I think he's a great fighter.
You got his butt kicked by Michael Bisping.
We don't know what happened now.
Nobody's saying.
I've been trying to find out.
So if any of our listeners know, please let me know.
The tough finale was last night.
A three hour live finale, first of all.
Which I watched today.
Watch what I got up this morning.
Here, Ari, I'm not even going to do the undercard because the undercard was on fuel and I forgot to record that.
But here is how the card went.
The very first fight was two of dominant cruises, guys.
Justin Lawrence takes on John Cofer.
Something we have not seen in the UFC in a long time was a knockout via high kick.
In the third round, this guy lays a kick.
Lawrence lays a kick on Cofer right on the jawline, knocks him clean out.
That's awesome.
A beautiful kick.
Perfectly executed right on the jaw, down goes Frazier.
I mean, it was that, that hardcore.
After that, we had Max Holloway versus Pat Schilling, a couple of lightweights.
Max Holloway, all of 20 years old, youngest person in the UFC right now.
Get's a perfect 30 to 27 win over from all three judges.
Dominated this fight.
Great fight.
Quite enjoyed it.
Then you also had season 12 winner Jonathan Brookins, a kid who I'm a very big fan of, fights Chris Olivera.
But Brookins gets submitted in round two.
Brookins was fighting hard.
They went to the ground and one of the smoothest transitions into a guillotine choke I have ever seen.
If you get a chance to go back and watch this on the finale, see if it's on YouTube or something.
Great finish to that fight in round two.
Then your championship for the ultimate fighter happens.
Michael Kiesa, who we talked about on this show, was a guy gets into the house four days after he gets into the house, finds out his father has passed away.
Has to leave to go to the funeral and come back.
But takes on Al Ayakinta, who was the number one pick by Uriah Faber.
Both Faber guys in the final.
No cruise guys in the final.
Al Aquinset gets choked out at 247 of the first round.
And he did not tap.
He got choked out.
So give love to Al Ayakinta for not tapping out.
Kiesa wins.
Not only does he get a six figure contract because they added a couple of deals this year.
He wins a six figure deal with the UFC.
He wins a custom Harley Davidson motorcycle.
As does Uriah Faber.
But the one that they did for Kiesa is off the chain.
It's a beautiful bike.
And he also gets a three fight endorsement with tap out.
And Britney Palmer was there and saw what happened.
She gave him the trophy.
She looked at the camera and said, Rob will call you later.
No.
Please.
You have to stop this.
I appreciate that.
You know, it worked.
Yeah.
You know what?
The lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin is exactly that.
And I have to tell her.
Look.
If this is circa 1998, you got a shot.
You know, after 1999, the market is closed.
I did that to Chad the other day.
We were talking about local radio personality.
Beautiful.
And he's like, how was this woman single?
I said, because I told her she has calm.
And he was like, keep telling yourself that, sir.
And I said, don't need to tell myself that.
I got the voicemail to tell me that.
And then your main event, Jake Ellenberger versus Martin Campon.
Let's say some Ellenberger was owning this fight until round two.
TKO.
Campon, great fight by Campon.
They think he's got maybe one more fight he's got to get through before he gets to the title.
I thought the finale was very entertaining.
Quite enjoyed it.
Now, starting tonight, Fuel will be showing the one they did in Brazil.
That's all until tonight, only been available on UFC.tv.
And like we talked about on this show, they're saying happy guys could fight in the UFC right now.
You know, my guitar player, Kenny Belcher said, hey, if you're into subtitles, you're good.
Because it's in, you know, it's Brazil.
So it's going to be in Portuguese.
I don't care.
I just want to see these guys go.
So I'm looking forward to start watching that.
They're going to do the pre-show tonight and then the episodes will start airing a week from tomorrow.
So there's that.
But I thought the finale was great.
I thought the live fights did very, very well.
Want to talk a little bit.
Boxer Paul Williams, if you know who he is.
This past week in Georgia, he gets into a motorcycle accident as paralyzed from the waist down.
According to his manager, very, very positive about it.
Says he wants to fight later this year.
That's like, um, dude.
But he goes, hey, I think I can at least do a career and stand up comedy.
So he's be staying very, his spirits are, he's staying very positive.
And then people are saying that's a very, very good thing for him.
Give me one second here.
Are they saying it's temporary?
Like, I mean, they're saying it doesn't look good.
Oh, okay.
Then we had a death in the world of boxing this week.
I found out on Facebook.
Johnny Tapia.
I heard the name, his nickname is Mean Vita Loka.
Passed away on Sunday.
I mean, this is a guy that dealt with adversity his entire life.
His father was reportedly murdered while his mother was pregnant with him when he was eight.
His mother was kidnapped, raped, hanged, repeatedly stabbed and left for dead by her assailant.
This is a guy that basically was, the gym was his both of his parents.
This was a guy that happened to her while she was pregnant.
No, this happened when he was eight.
Oh, okay.
Like, he was awakened by her screams and saw her chain to the back of a pickup truck.
He was raised by his grandmother.
When he was eight, he started boxing just as an outlet.
Yeah, obviously.
Yeah, it's dad died when the mom was pregnant.
Oh, okay.
His professional boxing career began on March 25, 1988 in Irvine, California.
After four rounds, the fight was called to a draw.
He would end up winning eight fights that year, five by knockout, four of which were in the first round.
I mean, this guy, I've seen, I used to, I saw him box at least once on HBO Great Fighter.
In 1990, he won seven bouts.
And then he got suspended for testing positive for cocaine.
And this is a 1990.
So who wasn't?
Returned in 1994.
The fourth round knockout of Jamie Olvera won three more fights by knockout.
He became the WBO Junior Bantamweight Champion in 1994.
His first loss in his 48-bout career came to Polly Ialla.
If that name sounds familiar to you, he is from Fort Worth, a Great Fighter, and a great individual.
Would go back to the Featherweight Division, came back, and then, you know, he just had ongoing problems.
And couldn't, couldn't come back, but a great fighter, Viacom Dio's to you, sir.
I was very shocked when I heard about this one Sunday.
You're always into the clubhouse live every Saturday night.
Join us two weeks from tomorrow.
June 17th, Fox and Hound, Richardson, Texas for it.
WWE, no way out.
I'll be there.
Yep, you'll be there.
Kids?
Charles and maybe.
I'm always a maybe.
Well, it's Father's Day.
So I don't know if you've got family stuff going on.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Andrew's calling the audible.
I'll be there.
Chad will be there.
Getting you ready for no way out.
We'll be on the air at 6 o'clock, central time.
It's $5 gets you in the door.
And once you get in the door.
Yeah, after a rest of my year did.
Sure.
Before it starts, I don't think you know.
It's cheaper than 2 or 2.
It's still cheaper than 60 bucks.
Yep.
And you can use that extra $55 on some awesome food.
I pretzel.
Oh, the soft pretzels.
Oh, the soft pretzels.
Oh, the chicken tenders.
The pizza.
I had the buffalo chicken sliders.
How was that?
Very.
They're buffalo sauce.
Like, I'm a spice list, but it's still kind of.
It's got a kick to it that I even I can handle.
I love spicy sauce.
So, at the end of that new one, the guacamole burger.
I had that last time.
I'm not a big guacamole fan.
I don't know.
Some ways doing guacamole now, too.
Well, I had that one.
It's not that great.
They're guacamole is terrible.
Terrible.
It's terrible.
It's terrible.
Still laughing about last week's show.
If you haven't listened to last week's show.
It's titled Hard Knocks may have to be on PBS and Magic Sings.
I'm glad.
Very funny.
I mean, I'm not trying to pat myself in the back, but yeah, I kind of am.
Let us talk a little NBA news as we are getting ready for game for four.
I'm sorry, game four in Oklahoma City.
Did you guys hear this meta-world piece story?
No.
No.
Meta-world piece or the basketball player formerly known as
Braun Artest.
On Monday, because, you know, he's a genius.
Oh, you can tell by his name.
Puts on Twitter.
Happy Labor Day, everyone.
Enjoy it.
This is back to the future.
Time machine.
I just...
Maybe it's Labor Day somewhere in the world.
Or maybe he thinks he can stop wearing white now.
Maybe that's what it is.
I don't know.
Well, he's on it.
He didn't have to do any labor.
I think we need to make a list of people who have to run their tweets through someone before they're allowed to hit enter.
Like, one of the news sources that I go to is a YouTube channel called SourceFed.
Like, they need my help.
They just hit 100 million views in four months.
But check them out.
They're a branch of Philip DeFranco Show, which I've said on this show a million times on a huge fan of.
They brought this up and it just stopped down the whole show.
You can hear the crew in the back laughing.
I mean, they put the tweet right there on the screen.
And I was like, you have got to be kidding.
And they just said, wait, he wants to wish everyone.
And they pointed the bottom screen.
A happy memorial day.
They just had a happy labor and everyone would enjoy it.
And I was like, oh.
Oops.
No response.
He had nothing to say.
I just had to respond to that.
I just...
Oops.
I really believe you have to take a test in order to be able to use the internet.
I just do.
It just...
And even if I fail that test, I'm accepting of that.
You know, it's just...
Look at it calendar, dude.
There's got to be one somewhere near you.
Or maybe when you turn your TV and it says happy memorial day.
Maybe this is for the tech corner.
But I think you should have to ask the common sense test before having...
You know, to use any type of technology.
Here we go.
Oh.
Playoff updates.
As we just said, game four of the Western conference finals about to get underway.
Oklahoma City on Thursday night decided that they were going to start playing basketball
and finally hand the spurs a loss after 18 straight victories.
20.
Oh, is it 20?
By the time it was all said and done?
Man, those old guys can get it done.
And they're at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City tonight.
If you have never been through Oklahoma City, I'm telling you, I don't know how they deal with the Ford Center
because it is right in an area of downtown.
You can kind of see it whether they're doing the overhead shot right now.
It's in an area called Bricktown, which oddly enough, there's a lot of brick buildings.
That's where the Toby Keys I love this bar and grill is.
And I mean, it's right there downtown.
Parking has got to be a nightmare.
But it's a beautiful arena.
I've got some friends that live up there that love going there.
And they have, they really have embraced the scene.
There's nothing else there really.
Well, they're not that far from Norman.
So you've got, you know, oh you.
And you're really not that far.
You're only probably a couple of hours from Stillwater for Oklahoma State.
Sub.
And it's my only thing with Oklahoma City is this time of year.
You think it's bad here in Dallas?
Oklahoma City is brutal because there's nothing to block the hot wind that is constantly blowing.
It's, I mean, my first trip to Oklahoma City was four years ago today.
Brandon just checked in, good to see you brother.
And so we call today the fourth anniversary of the Oklahoma City incident,
which we will not talk about on the show.
There's two or three people that know what that means.
Richard, Sarah, Mari, you guys know what that means.
Happy anniversary on that particular subject.
I will tell you one story from that.
We went and did karaoke one night.
And we're sitting there and our webmaster, good friend of mine,
the deputy mayor of awesome town.
Richard says, dude, I'll give you 20 bucks if you do vanilla ice on karaoke.
And in my head, I'm going,
does this dude not know what I do on the weekends?
So I'm like, no, I'm not going to do it.
He's like 25.
I'm like, no, there's no reason.
He's like 30.
I'm like, no, he goes 40.
At this point, I'm just seeing how high he'll go.
Right?
He gets to 50.
And I'm like, okay.
So I sign it up.
Do the whole thing.
I'm not even looking at the screen.
That's such.
He's just looking at me like, I'm like, it's like, dude, really?
I'm like, just pay my tab.
We'll call it even.
It was just to look at his face.
And everybody's looking at him like, we all know what he does on the weekends.
He hosts karaoke.
He's been a DJ for like ever.
20.
Good times.
Poor guy.
And in the Eastern Conference,
Heat with a 2-1 lead over the Celtics.
They'll play Game 4 tomorrow.
I'm still, I mean, I still think my heat win this series last night
got a little testy.
They went down by, if he were down by as many as 25,
still only lost by 10.
Had a nice, nice run there at the end.
I, what, what I think the key here is,
get Boston worn out quickly.
Because Boston paced themselves very nicely in that game last night,
which I think killed them in games 1 and 2.
But being home doesn't hurt either.
Of course.
Well, I think Marquis Sanio's had a big, big, big, big,
big play in how they won last night.
I mean, well, you have to put in their subs
and their starters didn't play 42 minutes.
Well, my thing was, in Game 2,
when Rondo hangs 40 on you and you still lose,
I thought that was going to take some steam out of them.
The Garnet in here is really having a good game.
They had like 16 points, but that's nothing to them.
Oh, Garnet's got to shut his mouth.
That's my thing with Kevin Garnet.
Channing Fry punked him two years ago.
And if you don't know who that is,
like a 7 foot 140 pounds soaking wet guy.
Very, Sean Bradley asked.
Yes.
No respect for Garnet.
But we'll hopefully, by this time next week,
on next week's show,
we'll have you getting ready for the NBA Finals,
as we are officially underway in O.K.C.
I'm rooting for San Todeon this, I have to say.
I've been picking Oklahoma City since day one.
I know this conference.
I've got to stay with it.
I've got to stay committed.
It's just from my personal view.
What happened with Seattle?
I cannot be in Oklahoma City.
Let's see.
I don't blame.
We can talk about some pre-show.
I don't blame Oklahoma City for that.
I blame the owner.
I know.
But you know what?
I'm okay with Oklahoma City having a team
because I really monitored that situation closely
when the Hornets moved there after Katrina for two years.
They sold out every game.
And that team embraced that team
as if they'd had it for 40 years.
So when they announced that they were moving
to Oklahoma City,
I was like, you know what?
I've got no issue with this because that.
And I still believe there will be an NFL franchise
there before it's all said and done.
Because that's what that's going to turn into in the fall.
We're just going to do it for the economy of that area.
Because you're going to have a solid weekend of football
because you know how crazy they are about college football over there.
And they have pro football on Sundays or Monday nights.
I think that'll be huge.
But they get one before LA, you think?
Yes.
Because the one thing nobody's talking about
is the fact that LA screwed up twice.
Oh yeah.
Rams.
That's all you have to say.
Yeah, Rams and the Raiders.
I mean, the Raiders have been back to Oakland.
Now, who goes to Oakland?
Although Golden State's moving there.
They're moving the Warriors there.
Say what?
Yep.
They're moving the Warriors from San Francisco to Oakland.
Hmm.
Now, the question is,
will they add franchises to the NFL or who will leave?
Jacksonville.
That's what I've said on this show for months.
Jacksonville will leave and go to Oklahoma City.
Now, if LA does get a team,
the rumor was,
if Minnesota didn't get the stadium deal done,
they were going to go to LA,
which you can't lose the Vikings.
You just can't,
because you can't take the name with them.
They could,
and they can't be the Rams yet.
Now, could St. Louis move?
This is not the greatest show on turf anymore.
Yeah.
But because they could also keep the name.
Well, look, you taught jazz.
I mean, you know, I mean,
give that back to Oakland.
Give that back to New Orleans.
Please, I beg you.
But because there's a rule after the Cardinals moved,
that was the last scene that was allowed to take the name with them.
If you moved the franchise,
you have to change the name.
That's from now until the end of it.
But since the Rams were in LA,
if St. Louis moved, they could keep the name.
Kind of a weird grand fathering thing going on there.
So let's move on to a little bit of music news.
We talked about American Idol winner Philip Phillips.
Shame on you.
Shame on you for naming your kid Philip.
I didn't give the kid the name,
which is right on the paper.
Shame on you.
But you know what?
He sells 278,000 downloads
of his debut single home in its first week.
So this could be a Scotty McCreery situation.
I don't know.
I've never heard the kid and I don't really care.
But I thought those were your respectable numbers.
He's rich now.
That's all the matters.
Thank goodness.
That's true.
Well, it depends on the contract he got with the American Idol.
I mean, they get a contract, but what does it get
percentage-wise and everything?
I think that it's early,
it's kind of more incentive-laden.
You get a ton of money up front and then it kind of builds.
You know, because early on, a lot of the early winners
were getting out of their contracts quickly
because 19 records was just not,
and was owned by jive records at the time,
was not giving them solid deals.
You know, you're not Kelly Clarkson.
It's all I'm saying.
Name me five winners besides her.
I mean, I can, but just because I watch that show for so long.
Also, you hear Guns and Roses in the background.
Explain to me how this works.
Axel Rose, if you go to a Guns and Roses show,
which you could probably go to at your local loobies
on a Saturday afternoon.
Because you could fit everybody in there.
Yeah.
I mean, let's be honest.
Is Guns and Roses going to play Cowboy Stadium
not in this lifetime?
But they're banning anyone from wearing slash t-shirt.
Like how petty is that?
What do you do if it's like a female?
Are you going to tell her to take off the top?
Yes, that's exactly what they're going to tell her to do.
Yes, she is.
There's the refunds or what's the deal on that?
I don't know, maybe they're making them turn them inside out
or maybe they're turning the way at the door or what's going on.
But I just get over this thing.
Can you do that?
Can you say sorry?
You can't come in with your slash t-shirt.
Management reserves are right to refuse service to anyone.
But they'll have to give you a ticket.
They'll have to give you a refund on the ticket price.
They have to promise some more.
Absolutely.
They haven't lost any money.
That's all I'm telling you.
Because see, now they can say you knew before you came in.
This was published as a thing.
It's out there now.
If you come to our show, we can tell you to go Pound Sane
and not give you Jack because you knew.
I think the back of your ticket says they don't have to refund you.
Most of them do.
I mean, from what I can.
Axel Rose ain't given anybody anything.
Except a headache and bad music.
Well, the people that be responsible in this is actually the venue.
Of course, the venue will.
I mean, like a WWE card subject to change.
You have a right to walk out within a certain amount of time to
if this started not show up.
Yeah, but that's different because you're saying once you can walk out
once it starts, this is if you're not happy with the product.
And that's we're telling you if you show up with this on,
you ain't getting in the door.
I really believe they will not refund that ticket.
I can almost guarantee it because I've for the last 25 years,
God, I can't believe that.
Axel Rose has been a D-bag.
He's always been a D-bag.
He will always be a D-bag.
Quid Pro Quo.
Which that doesn't mean anything.
We're saying I just want to use something Latin.
Just give away Axel Rose T-shirts.
That's a good way to.
Yeah, at the door.
Just have Axel Rose T-shirts on hand and if they have a slash
T-shirt on, switch it.
Yeah.
I'm good with that.
Or to make more money, say, well, we can give you this one for $45
and you can wear that in.
It's about manipulation.
The whole thing's just stupid, girl, Axel.
Axel Rose just sucks.
You know what I'm saying?
New releases in your local CD or video or CD store or iTunes
or Amazon or wherever you find music.
Allegedly fine music.
Allegedly.
Alan Jackson releases his new album called 30 Miles West.
I think that's like 90.
Still getting it done.
Oh.
See, and I really, you know what I really dig in when he does those
those gospel albums of those old school hymns where he just
break, they're not here.
I kind of dig that.
He's got a good life.
He's got a country voice.
Now, I could go the rest of my life without hearing where you're
down, you're under change.
I could go the rest of my life and not hear that.
Because when I think Chattahoochi, it is a river, okay?
But there's a city in Florida named Chattahoochi,
and that's where the funny farm is.
So whenever I hear that, that's what makes me think of.
And that crappy gravel stuff that's in my back patio.
That's called Chattahoochi, too.
I hate that stuff.
Because it hurts your feet to walk on it.
It's just, whoever invented that, it's just,
they're calm enough.
They're calm enough.
They're calm enough.
They're able-doers.
You don't want to play this for a minute.
I have not heard the song for it.
This is the mega mix, sir.
This is every little hit.
I probably sit here in the studio thinking,
hey, this picks me back to a simpler time.
Another album old enough to drink.
But why are you playing in this, Rob?
There's a reason for this.
Bobby Brown releases his new album Tuesday called The Masterpiece.
Quick pull.
Anybody believe that that's actually what it's going to be?
It's like an oxymoron title or something.
But you know what this is to me?
This is a three-headed dog.
I don't want to look.
But you have to.
But I have to.
Like, I need this to take this thing for a spin
and just see how bad it is.
Because his last two albums were terrible.
Like, don't be cruel.
That's The Masterpiece.
That was the R&B album of 1989 in my personal opinion.
Bobby, which followed it, had three or four good songs.
But for the most part,
like, pumping around it, that was a good song.
Good enough, a good song.
The duet with Whitney was really cheesy.
And then the album, the two albums after that were just absolute tripe.
Like, I could use those for discus practice.
Like, that's how, or maybe skeet shooting.
Skeet, skeet, skeet, skeet, skeet.
That's a different song.
I got to side my prevent.
You guys know how much I love
Den Levitator's highly questionable.
And how when they do the break and the second break,
they always come back,
and where they're teasing the next segment,
Gonzalo always does, like, hip hop lyrics.
They throw for him on the teleprompter.
And it's this old Cuban man singing with a hip.
This is what they did the other day.
We hope you enjoyed this commercial break
from the window to the wall.
And I just lost it.
I fell on the floor.
I was like, okay, done.
Oh, God.
They just made my day.
I was like, I love this show.
And another sidebar.
We talked on the show last week how,
yesterday was the last day that the beetle was going to be on sports nation.
Is that show done all together?
What's the beetle?
Michelle Beetle.
She does sports nation.
Call and call her.
Well, because they've had other people come in,
but I was just like,
I was like, is this show done?
I just, and I don't think the beetle,
the beetle to me doesn't work for Access Hollywood.
She needs to stay on the SPN, but that's just me.
Also, we got a lot of albums coming out this week.
Brandy Carlyle.
I think she's one of these kids with the clothes in the hair.
She releases Bear Creek.
That's the B-E-A-R.
But that's a whole different thing.
The Charles Robinson Brothers.
Is that happened?
If the Charles Robinson Brotherhood was a band,
that would be the greatest album ever recorded.
Because there's only one thing you could call it.
Knockout?
The only thing you could call that album,
if it's the Charles Robinson Brotherhood.
What?
You're going to call it shenanigans?
Exactly.
Oh, that would be the greatest album of all time.
Referee is down.
Three canals.
And Heffler.
The Little Nights Experience.
Of course, he held the cell.
See, and it's so sad that Chad was the only person there
for that incident.
Because I'm telling you,
he looked directly at me.
You not heard this story?
No, no.
Chad and I were at Hell in the Cell two years ago
when it was an American Airlines Center.
Oh, yeah, that was there too, actually.
And Chad and I were seatfiller.
So we were like 12 rows behind the announce table.
Like, we were on the floor.
Okay.
And the first Hell in the Cell match,
he was referred,
but they hadn't laid it lowered the cage yet.
So we're in,
but they're showing some kind of video package people at home.
And I yell.
You better call it down the middle, Little Nights.
And he heard me.
And he turned around and looked at me and pointed and smiled.
And I was like,
yeah, Chad's like,
I'm never going to live this down.
And I'm like,
no, you won't,
because that was awesome.
But the Chris Robinson Brotherhood,
who I'm assuming this is Chris Robinson
from the Black Crows,
where these big moon ritual,
which also means two things.
Circus Maximus,
which is one of these metal bands
of the kids at the close in the hair lover,
at least nine,
R&B former,
did he ever marry the Howie Berry?
No, they, no.
Eric Benet,
released as the one,
which apparently she wasn't.
Another one of these bands of the kids
at the close in the hair lover,
the fear factory,
released as the industrialist,
the great,
let me just cue this up,
real quick.
Got it, got it, got it, got it.
There's something on there for him.
Oh.
I love this song.
Great song.
Here's a guitar, thank you.
My Mazzarotti does 185.
But I lost my license,
so I can't drive.
Tell him, Joe.
Joe Walsh releases a brand new album
called Analog Man,
this coming Tuesday.
Cool Keith,
if you're old school like me,
releases a new album
called Love and Danger.
I know he was still around.
Don't know how LA Guns is releasing a new album,
but I guess most of them have already left Guns and Roses.
Surprise, they're allowed to use that name,
but they release Hollywood forever.
A new album from Neil Young and Crazy Horse.
It's on Tuesday called Americana.
I'm gonna sing every song like this.
I can't stand Neil Young.
Patty Smith,
indie darling from the 80s,
releases Banga.
I don't know what that means.
Maybe that means two things.
I don't know.
Sean Colvin,
if you remember her,
from Sonny Comes.
Sonny came home.
What was that the theme to?
That was a theme to a TV show, isn't it?
No.
You're probably thinking Dawson's creative.
No, no, no, no.
Sonny came home with a theme to a TV show.
I'm gonna look that up right now.
So she's in this Joe Walsh's play.
Also,
Shown and Knife,
which is another one of these,
shows with the kids in the clothes and the hair love.
They were released now.
I'm just called pop team.
But they're like metal and something like that.
They're pop.
So there's always that.
Let's see.
Sonny came home.
Of course it doesn't say on here.
But that was the theme song to a show, I thought.
Maybe not.
You know what?
You know what?
I get always get confused because it came out at the same time as that,
Vonda Shepard, the song that was a theme to.
Yeah.
They came out at the same time.
So there's that.
The Beach Boys released their first brand new album in about 150 years.
That's why God made the radio.
And how many original are on that?
All of them.
All of them that are still walking the planet.
But this is with Brian Wilson.
I wonder if Brian Wilson even knows he's making music.
I think he's a robot.
I think he's like an android.
Like they freeze Tim for a little bit.
And then they're like, let's think on music.
They freeze them.
Education major.
They would have frozen him.
Freeze is not a word.
Frozen.
But I would have had to use have had or has before it.
Correct.
They would have had to, you know, he would have had to have been frozen.
I said they freeze him.
But freeze is not a real word.
But I can't say they frozen him because they didn't say have has or had.
Well, they froze him.
But I can't say.
They froze him.
You can say that.
But I'm not going to say frozen because that's not the right word.
But froze is.
I'm just saying.
This is like we're taking a lot longer than it's supposed to.
The Hives released Lex Hives.
Not listen to anything called the Hives that creeps me out.
And the Melvins with three of the original members are back with an album called Freak Puk.
It's a true story.
Well, thanks Melvins.
Okay.
And that's going to do it for music talk.
You are listening to the clubhouse live each and every Saturday night at eight o'clock.
I have a clock of a list.
Oh, let's get into P.O.I.
P.O.I. stands for Person of Interest.
P.O.I. is a segment where we take it personal or an entity.
And we discuss their greatness or lack thereof.
And so we talked about the beach boys and men going to kind of segues nicely into this.
Chicken Mcbites.
I had them.
I want a burger.
So good.
So good.
And they're like, they're a good size too.
Yeah.
But they charge me for the sauce.
They do charge you for the sauce.
Mike, they don't show me the sauce if you're going to charge me for the sauce.
They're doing that now everywhere.
Like if you want more than like two packets of something, they're going to charge you 50 cents a packet.
That's side bar.
This is just second before we get to P.O.I.
Some of you were talking about before you got here.
I just recently discovered the greatness that is Chick-fil-A sauce.
Yes.
It's wonderful.
I've had it forever.
I didn't know until recently.
It's like they made it with unicorn tears.
Like it's that good.
I prefer the Polynesian.
But I've also heard the honey roasted barbecue is very, very good.
I haven't tried that yet.
It's kind of spicy.
Is it really?
It has a real funny kick to it.
But that's not what P.O.I. is about tonight.
P.O.I. is, you know, something I was thinking about earlier this week.
And the P.O.I. tonight is the concept of the reunion tour.
Let's rewind.
Let's say circa 1994, 1995.
A lot of these bands that, you know,
the cars, the who.
All these classic bands that were broken up.
They're like, I'm never going to do this again.
And now, I guess they've realized how much money is in it.
A lot of these bands are getting back together into Van Halen who can't seem to keep it together.
Are we kind of past that point now with reunion?
There's only one reunion tour left.
Because the police have done it.
Genesis has done it.
The who has done it.
They actually had a doors reunion tour with injury from the cult,
which some of that stuff was amazing to listen to.
Queen just breaks up and gets back together just with different lead singers all the time.
There's only one band left to do a reunion tour.
They still used Adam Lambert, right, as the lead singer.
No, the rumor was that Queen was going to do that this summer.
But they're now dispelling that.
Okay.
Thank God.
There's only one band that I need a reunion tour from.
This would be a race.
You'll recognize it here in a minute.
And this is one of my favorite songs by them.
Classic.
Just love that the drum beat alone to this.
It's just so...
Yeah.
They dirtyed it up.
Remise.
And by the way, the guitar player from this band
not invited to the opening ceremony for the Olympics this year.
Figure that out.
Ah!
Yeah.
Although he does have the closing ceremonies in Beijing.
He's not the opening ceremony this year.
And he's from there.
Yeah!
Figure that one.
I love this song.
So what was this this show?
Mm-hmm.
Got nothing.
It's not physical, isn't it?
No, this is often four.
Four.
Right, Zeppelin?
No?
Nothing?
Nothing.
No, who they are though.
I do know who they are.
They just depressed me.
Really?
I feel like that's what you...
Wasn't you after a really bad day and just like shoot up with death or something?
Yeah.
They have some classics.
They have some of the all-time classics in it.
And I'd like to see it with the John Bond side.
Jason.
And he's amazing.
Yeah.
He was a beast behind the drum beat.
He put the original three there alive in John Bond.
And they did this at the O2 in London.
Yeah.
And Plant won't do it.
Plant's the only holdout.
And it's just like...
And I guess the him he just doesn't care because they would make a bazillion dollars.
Yeah.
Just for one summer, like the police did it.
For one summer, Genesis did it.
For one summer.
Never made it here and it made me mad.
But...
I mean, is there any...
Like right now, Charlotte, money's no object.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
Is there a reunion tour that you would pay for right now that hasn't been done?
I don't think so.
I don't.
I mean, if...
I don't know if you'd call it a reunion tour, but if TLC's members were all alive, I would spend a lot of money.
Well, they're talking about touring with the holographic laptop.
That's not what I want.
So, no, I wouldn't.
Now, is there some...
If there was somebody equitable that they put in her place?
No.
Because, like, Zeppelin would have had to have done with John Bonham because John Bonham died 30 years ago.
His son, who's an amazing drummer, sits in with them.
I'm hooting the blowfish.
I would do that.
That would be a reunion tour because they haven't been...
They haven't played a gig.
I have, too.
But let's go around to them.
Andrew.
Oh.
There would be none for me.
There's nobody out there that you would think right now.
If money was no object.
Like, because, you know, you're gonna go see the eagles.
You better bring your checkbook.
Let's be honest.
Not really, no.
Really?
Don, go.
Okay.
I'll see if he was alive.
I'd like to see the original Alison Chains.
But, alive that they could actually do...
But, see, I like the guy that they've gotten.
I would love to see Pink Floyd do the wall.
But Roger Waters does it all the time anyway.
But to see the original Pink Floyd do a reunion tour...
There is talk.
There would be a bomb.
There is talk.
And then, of course, Abba turning down a billion dollars, literally.
Yeah.
But Pink Floyd, the original Pink Floyd, the Ford do in the wall.
There is...
There is actually talk of that right now.
That's one I would...
A couple of...
A friend of the show, Chance Monsterman, has been kind of keeping an eye on that situation.
He's actually seen the Roger Waters thing like 140 times.
Or something like...
He's gone all over the state to see that.
So...
I'll talk to Chance and see what's going on with that.
I think I'll...
Hopefully, I'll see him here.
And hopefully, I'll see all of you, speaking of which, on July 3rd.
Jay Pepe is on Moe or Greenpool.
For Ragnarok.
I got your birthday present.
Outstanding.
I don't want to tell my birthday.
That's good.
Give me out the party on the third.
Come out.
Man, five o'clock to the last person drops.
Run it out the pool area at Jay Pepe's.
Sharla said she's in because there's a Nacho bar.
Yes.
Nacho bar.
There's going to be a Nacho bar.
I'm being told.
That's right there.
I want to thank Devon and Clay for putting this together.
I'm going to try to get them on the show before...
The Ragnarok if you don't know is the Viking Armageddon.
Which I thought was a great name for this thing.
Come out.
Join us.
We're going to have a really good time.
And you're not going to have to work before the July anyway.
So just be there.
Back to P.O.I though.
I just kind of feel like they've become...
Where you need to have become a gimmick.
You know, I respect the police for going look.
We're going to do this for one year and then we're not going to do it.
And I heard the show was just absolutely amazing.
I would have liked to have seen the Genesis show.
They had Phil, but I would have liked to have seen it with Phil and Peter Gabriel.
I thought that would have been amazing.
I don't like when you call it a reunion tour and you do it like six more times.
Kind of like Kiss.
Yeah.
Or Share.
Share is like, this is my last or Elton.
He's like, I'm done.
This is the reunion tour.
I'm going back on the other.
But I would spend a lot of money to see Share.
One of my favorites though was Phil Collins' last tour was called the first final farewell tour.
Well played.
What we didn't know at the time was that really was the last time because he will never tour again
because he physically can't do it.
And I've got a DVD from one of the shows that he did.
It was in Paris, I think.
And it's kind of cool because when the song starts, you can hit your angle button
and go to the actual video for that song and then come back to the live version if you want to.
And when he does it in the air tonight, it's amazing.
Oh, so great.
But I will say where you need to have an overdone because there's a lot of people who love to see that band
get back to him and finally be able to see them.
I don't think they're overdue enough.
If it's the right band, like Zeppler and Floyd.
But again, it's become such a gimmick that, you know, the go-go's prime example.
It just depends on the band.
It depends on the band.
You know?
Then Haylen is doing it for money.
They're not doing it for fans.
When they first did it, I was like, because I went the last time, you know,
oh, seven, I think.
And I was like, yes, I'm in.
It's just awesome.
And now that they're doing it again, I just don't care.
Because the new car smells gone.
You know, because we waited so long for David Lee Roth to be back with them.
And now it's kind of like, okay.
You know, it's like, I do it once.
You know, like, I was the same.
I was so waiting to see David Lee Roth do running with the devil fan Haylen.
And they did, brother.
And they did.
And they did.
To see the original Pink Floyd, you comfortably numb behind a wall.
What I wouldn't do for that.
I mean, it depends on the band and how many times they do it.
Yeah.
I just think that we're kind of coming to the, to the point of.
Number one, we're running out of bands.
Because let's be honest.
Go after the 80s.
I mean, how many bands have had that kind of longevity?
We would go, hey, if they get back together, be great.
Sound gardens back together, which is great.
They're awesome.
They're talking about doing a Nirvana thing.
No.
No.
No.
With holographic Kurt Cobain.
No.
I was never a fan of them to begin with.
I always, I respect what they did for the industry, but I didn't really have much use for them.
But I mean, there's nobody else that would be like, oh, that would be awesome.
I guess that, though, it's also from a guy's perspective.
But you think about girls.
I mean, I'm sure if InSeek got back together and did a tour.
Look at the NKOTBBSB thing where they packed American Airlines in it.
But how many groups like that are even would you even go with anymore?
Abba.
If they did it.
They turned down a billion dollars brother.
That didn't gonna happen.
That's a big gift, though.
Are all four of them still around?
Yeah.
Yeah.
They all turned down a quarter of 250 million dollars each to do that thing.
You know, it'd be even better if Abba would be in the next month at movie with the Swedish chef.
That would make me happy.
Just to have them sing an eer bit eer bit eer bit.
I mean, that was making me so happy.
And that's what they did for us to know.
They offered Abba a billion dollars to all four of them to go on the tour.
And they turned it down.
Why?
A guaranteed billion dollars, just 250 million dollars each.
I got that on me.
Why?
They hate each other that much.
The money's not worth it, though.
It's like a two divorces.
How has there not been, like, an Abba expose a book?
Now, expose a.
That's a group I would see.
I love them.
Three people.
Jade.
I would see love to see them get back together.
But really, to me, it's just become such a novelty that it's kind of taken the awesomeness out of it.
Because the egos were the first real big bandit.
When that happened in 90, it was just like, oh my god, this really happened.
And it was cool when the who did it.
It was cool when Genesis did it.
It was cool when the police did it.
It was cool at first when Van Hangman did it.
And it was really cool when the edition did it.
But I don't know.
I just kind of lost this luster for me.
And that's PLI.
We'll have another one for next week.
I just don't know what it is yet.
I've got next week's list already written because it's going to be the sequel of this week's list.
But you are usually the clubhouse live every Saturday night.
We are here for you almost no matter what.
We're going to try to figure out what we're going to do in two weeks.
Because Charlotte thinks she might be able to do this in a couple of weeks without me here.
So we're going to see how we're going to make this.
We're going to get this thing done one way or another.
Unless that's the magic show, then we might have to push that back a week.
Magic show.
Because, well, you think about it.
We are now at Season 2 Episode 45.
We are three episodes away from the milestone.
So, and that might end up being the season of the Middle League.
It's a way we've been going lately.
But let us move on now.
We're going to do a little movie news.
I know. We're going to do NHL News first on it.
Quick update, OKC.
Is that tighter?
Yes.
No, it's not.
2826.
2826 San Antonio early in the second quarter.
Hey, one of these team might break Aini.
The whole entire San Antonio Spurs are over the age of Aini.
So yes, they've all had the same broken.
Their team average age is the same as the Clippers, which is weird to me.
They have a bunch of young guys.
That's true.
Stanley Cup playoff updates.
OK.
Thanks for following direction.
The finals are underway right now.
Game.
Cameraman.
Yeah, game two is underway right now.
At the end of the first period, the Kings are up one nothing.
The LA Kings.
Wow.
No idea.
Is Gretzky back there again?
Because I couldn't, like, if the team walked in right now with teachers on it says we are the LA Kings,
I still wouldn't know who they were.
I would think they were like a gang and I would be very frightened.
It goes to Gretzky.
Gretzky moves the fuck around.
A bunch of gang members who say aboot a lot.
An organization.
You know, I just, but they're playing the New Jersey Devils.
And let this sink in.
The Devils were a 16.
The Kings were an 8 seed.
And that's your Stanley Cup finals.
Been a great year for hockey.
But they are, they're actually in Jersey tonight.
So.
Wow.
If LA can take a two-nothing lead back to the staple center.
East east side west side, you know.
I don't know what I'm even talking about anymore.
I don't know what I'm doing on the show sometimes.
Also an interesting story comes out from
Baston, John's beloved Boston Bruins.
Tim Tom is talking about sitting out next year.
This is the same Tim Thomas who refused to go to the White House
because he disagreed with the ideology.
Can you do that?
Can you just sit out and say I'm not going to play.
No, I don't know how that works.
I'm very confused by this.
I'm very confused by this.
Hopefully it doesn't get paid.
Yeah.
Of course you would.
Yeah.
That's what the contract is and says and everything.
Come on.
Did he give a reason why he wanted to sit out?
I'm exhaustion.
I hate what people say.
I'm suffering from exhaustion.
Well, here's the thing.
Everybody always wants to say that right after they played in a playoffs.
You know, wait a month and then we'll go, maybe I want to play a little bit.
He says he wants to do a half-a job and get paid for it.
Well, he's a goalie.
He's not exactly stable.
Let's be honest.
You have a job where a piece of coal gets launched at you at 90 miles an hour.
I would think within last year, too.
you're too no offense and I'm not going to ask anybody's plentiful
affiliation here but when you have a chance to go to the White House and you
got it you go president yeah regardless of your who it is you know I mean
that's an honor to say I was standing next to the president in the White House
Charlotte did you watch the the team tournament on Jeffrey this year because you
know they finished it in DC and the kids in that tournament got a got a
personally guided tour of the White House from the first lady yeah and got to
eat food out of the her the garden where she grows the it's awesome like you do
that I don't care if you agree with it you do that because it's awesome it's a
story that is a bucket list item that must be checked off I mean you can go
on pay for a White House tour but it won't be the same as if you're invited
there and shown around by you know I did I mentioned the president asked me to
come by to crib I'm just saying did I mention you see why there's no
strange thing right here when the president got my name on it I actually have a
letter from the president when I was a kid with my name on it I one of our
students make a wish foundation granted his wish and he gets to meet the
president next year when I was a sophomore and I was a junior in high school we
got to go to like a national tournament for constitutional law knowledge and we
got a letter from the president congratulating us on making the president well it
was 90 so it would have been push senior it would have been yeah push senior is
I like thank you for coming out I know a lot about the constitation so I can
say nobody does George HW everybody does Dana Carvey doing George HM not
our session more of a hybrid you're so good I am I am the one chain of my
generation was is the trailer for rock of ages we're seeing right now yeah terrible
movie looks terrible it's got Alec Baldwin in it so I'm in
apparently they there's a scene they've had to cut out of it that has made
people uncomfortable now Julian Huff as a groupie makes me uncomfortable Julian
Huff as a groupie I accept that as a high school student not so much to say it
well isn't she a high school student in but loose that's what I'm talking about
yeah I thought you meant in here she was a high school I'll have it not I haven't
seen this crap yet I'm not moving on speaking of movies let's move on to
that's called a segway kit they will never be a day that the wheels are on the
show they're just constantly just axles grinding on the ground box office
numbers dropping out of the top nine this week we're gonna top nine dropping
out this week sharp was below 100 yes it's okay well you know it's made
almost four hundred million dollars domestically so you're good we're great
number nine number nine making one point zero two five million dollars last
night because remember we're not giving you last week's box office holes because
those are old we're giving you last night because that's how we roll for an eight
day total of twelve point four million dollars for Chernobyl diaries another
movie I have no desire to see no number eight dropping like a stone with
1.05 five million dollars last night for a 22 day total of 68.1 million
dollars dark shadows you talk about failing that the Johnny Depp yeah like
people were like maybe you know Tim Burton's gonna run you know Tim Burton's
going to turn this thing around it's not to curve it around and this is let me
look at see what the the what was the budget of a hundred and fifty million dollar
budget sorry and it's made not even half of it what's wrong tomatoes put
um look I have that I have the technology to do that as long as my internet
continues to work dark shadows on Rotten Tomatoes 40% or zero
number seven a casting crew did all that 40% last night making one point two
six five million dollars for a 29 day total of 22.2 million dollars for the
best exotic Mary Gold Hotel so congratulations to the sisterhood of the
traveling safety pants one of Chad shining moments you have to admit it true
I'll give him that number six making 1.4 million dollars last night for a
17 day total of 47.5 million dollars for the dictator Don saw this enjoyed it
very much I am just not a fan of this guy I want him to go away I'm a fan of
the bear cone and Sasha and all that and the shows I just like it's one of my
four days I enjoy like if you don't like it you're gonna hate to move the
like I said the only thing I like about him is I like to move it to move it I
like to move it to move it that was the only thing I'm just not a fan of teach
they're on you know it's it's another bear cone except he does some great
stuff too and Hugo he does some incredible and I don't like the fact that he
gets to be with the Ben Kingsley no who's his lady friend I just
sure I love Fisher love her I just need him to keep his clothes on like keep
your clothes on you're that's gross the only thing I'll give the dictator is
it does have a guy that played Rafi in the league in it number five making 1.4
million dollars on Friday for a 15 day total of 51.7 million dollars
battleship has made 51 million dollars budget of over two hundred million
dollars no one ever went broke by overestimating right under I'm sorry
underestimating the American public number four with 1.45 million dollars on
Friday for a 15 day total of 27.7 million dollars for the chick flick what to
expect when you're expecting Charlie anything on this okay moving on number
three still top three I couldn't be happier another 5.7 million dollars on
Friday for a 29 day total of 538.1 million dollars domestically for the song
up the whose soundtrack you hear on the background right now the Avengers God
this movie was good it's great yes in 3d though that movie is great yes in 3d
number two making another 8.3 million dollars on Friday for an 8 day total of
91.3 million dollars for men in black three people are saying it's a great
movie and I'm like but Andrew just said he didn't like I mean everybody I've
heard the like see it see it see it I just feel like I have to wait for this on
HBO you can wait what's wrong tomato is giving it up it's actually doing very
well with with critics 69% on Rotten Tomatoes it had a good ending I mean
your top 10 Avengers 93% battleship 34% the dictator 58% Chernobyl
thierry's 22% what to expect when you're expecting also 22% best exotic
miracle hotel 76% in Charlottesville at heart 100 games 85% and number one
opening last night opening with 20.3 million dollars who wants to take a
shot what was your big opening this weekend snow white and the Huntsman
doing very well I mean I haven't heard from anybody that didn't like it I
mean that's it but it's only 46% on Rotten Tomatoes right now so take that
for what you're paying for it make 20 million bucks just that I can't hate
I mean it's over over almost three times what the movie behind it made so
there's that Charlie's there speaking of people that are intimate with
Kristen Stewart Robert Pattinson officially out as Finic and the Hunger Games
catching fire we defer to our Hunger Games correspondent in the field I have
discussed this with a lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin and she said good
because that's not who I saw in my head anyway Sharla stay away from my movie
Robin Pattinson stay away his name is Robert Pattinson I see Robert now you said
Robin you might be talking to his brother I probably stuttered that
that would be terrible how to speech and pet him when I was little and I had to
get it fixed I'm still working on it when you were a kid it was like two weeks
ago so to say so yes I am still working on it had to see a therapist by the way
the Hunger Games set to release in mid August in your local Best Buy DVD you can
actually if you want it to get it on you and from iTunes you can pre-order it
now and you'll have it at midnight on release date it will now move so there's
that we have a ton of release dates that have been given to us this week we're
gonna run the list for you real quick the long ranger now coming out on May
13th of next year the army hammer I want to see this I tell my Abraham Lincoln
by next week or a week to fight it Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter as the kids
like to call it let's play this again because I want to hear that time again for
to has an April 8th of 2013 release so it will not be a summer release it will
be a Thanksgiving release dawn of the planet of the apes now set for May 23rd of
2014 July actually this is a mistime it's actually July 3rd of 2013 we will
be getting ID for 3d it's exactly what you think it is it is a re-release of
Independence Day in 3d what's this supposed to do a second part of that movie they
were but they can never get off the ground and there's nothing wrong with that
the sequel to X-Men first class will be out on July 18th of 2014 it will have
Jennifer Lawrence as it will not interfere with her filming the Hunger Games
catching fire which is now the title they're not just going to call it catching
fire they're going to call it the Hunger Games colon catching fire not the
colon of the Hunger Games it's just that those are the two dots
do we even have the axles on this it just raw transmission across gravel at
this point but I am the guy who said the Charles Robinson brotherhood so
there's that the Percy Jackson sequel Percy Jackson see of monsters were
released on August the 6th of next year apparently did a ton of money
overseas which is why you have monsters over so there's a chance and he saw the
first one thought it was really good I think the problem with Percy Jackson is
it may be the general public perceived it as them trying to rip on Harry Potter
but what they didn't understand is this this was a very popular series of
kids books and a great task too good mercy the secret life of Walter Mitty is
getting really is getting remade and it will be released on the same day as
the as Michael Bayes reboot of not Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just ninja
turtles they're gonna be from space he's redoing the whole story on Christmas
day of 2013 a Spielberg's got a new movie coming out called Robo
Pocalypse and it's exactly what you think it is on April the 25th of 2014
there will be a movie made of walking with dinosaurs the very popular live
show that will be out on December 20th of 2013 and the second part for the
hobbit called there in back again will release one week later on December 27th of
2013 we have a new chairman of Walt Disney studios after their previous one
stepped down after the John Carter debacle his name is Alan Horn he is the
former president and CEO of Warner Brothers so the guys got skins on the wall
also announced late yesterday so Charlie have you seen the trailer yet yes I
have is it wonderful it's wonderful yes it's great I actually I was not on board
until I just saw this because I was like she's not in it I don't want to do she was
the one I was right about to yeah Christina applicant will be in the anchorman
sequel oh great I saw the trailer it doesn't know I just like who those figures
who's standing in front of the lights and it's oh and but see you're kind of like
okay and then it gets the corral and you're like okay I'm in I haven't seen the
trailer for look it up look it up after the show it's it's real brief it's only
60 seconds long but it's it's exactly what you need that you said see corrals in
it right corral it's all four of them all four of them are back and now Christina
applicants into the expendables to releasing an August Lionsgate now
considering turning the expendables into a TV series anybody on board with
this no I kind of am done I'm kind of on board with this to be to watch
the blow up on my TV every week I'm kind of cool with that however her notice
the fact that what is for notice nobody knows that show but they also want to do
this with red and step up like the dance movies yeah that you know reds the
Bruce Willis movement but they're doing a sequel to that which I love everybody
still in it everybody's back and Catherine Zeta Jones she's tasty her acting sucks
though don't care I wanted to be one to one yes they want they make them all TV
series like step up well you know I would watch that that's just me I saw all
dozen movie theater so we talked about the Avengers a minute ago if you are a
super fan like me when it does release I believe in September they there is
rumors of a ten disc ten that's ten blu-ray so God only knows that they're
released on DVD you're gonna have to have like a separate car for it um marvel
superset with the blu-ray DVD combos of all of the movies plus a bonus disc if I
could afford it I would have this because they're calling it phase one so they're
gonna do a different face for each series of movies which is the spark what do
we say in the in the pre-show hold on now you're gonna make me look this up again
but we're talking all of all of the current generation of movies so you're
talking Iron Man Iron Man to the incredible Hulk not the crappy Angley one for
Captain America and and uh oh yeah the Avengers I'm multi-tasking I'm not very
good at this there's just no wheels there are no wheels
what what is that thing called that goes on the train track where two people are
like this that's what we are right now this is an audio meeting but I was
hoping that you will know I don't know what it's called right now you can get
it on Amazon pre-ordered for one fifty three thirty retail will be two hundred
nineteen dollars yeah that's all you pay for that thing wow look into that
but I'm in that's all I'm saying I'm in on this also the new die hard film has
a title it will be called a good day to die hard and we really hope it is because
I don't want another one of these movies Bruce Willis gonna be in it Bruce Willis
and his his adult son who at one one point was roober to be played by Tim D
bow and he went oh no but apparently it's going to take place in Russia
exciting there's that Warner Brothers apparently I heard I read this story
today and win it as dark night rises will release July the 20th
apparently at one point wonder brothers wanted to Leonardo DiCaprio to play the
riddler do they think he's like can do anything like the Iotola of
he's a Chris Jericho of acting oh god they were wanting Johnny Depp who would
have been a great riddler I think you put Johnny Depp in it yeah I've been saying
this for the last couple of weeks I am worried about this film I am worried that
we we've crammed too much into it I tried to look up the budget the other day
and couldn't find it so I don't know so is there the riddlers in no okay now
this is catwoman in vain okay but it's in half the way hi in half way he used to
be the tail of the show and I'm sorry that we that we bumped you for
pretty Palmer but you have to understand there's there's a there's a
pecking order just saying and finally we find out George Lucas is actually going
to retire taking over him as chair of Lucasfilm will be Kathleen Kennedy who
knows a few things about a few things this lady's got skins on the wall
George says he only wants to work on hobby films from now on that and hacking
off his neighbors yeah love that story did you hear that story from last week
injury he's been trying to build a studio on the on the lot Marin County for
years and his HOA keeps preventing it so he's like you know what the heck with it
I'm just gonna build a housing for low-income families low-income families
and seniors on fixed budgets and I'm like if he's HOA is going to be like we
should have given him the studio all the time love that story like we've said
for years how much of a D bag Lucas can be but when you're on this side of that
fence I think it's exactly moving new releases in your local fear of this
coming Friday a movie that Don has already seen the alien prequel called
Prometheus Don take it away I did see it as as screening for the press last
night in 3D you guys see it in 3D now Scott has not released a sci-fi film for
about 25 years just need Ridley Scott the director and it has been worth the
wait the sets the sci-fi were incredible on that Charlie's they're on oh yeah
two movies in two weeks by the way it was a white last week Prometheus
this coming storyline was very good and I'm not gonna give anything away but if
you are an alien fan like me it fits in pretty well and it leaves it open where
they could have a sequel which I hope they'll do you see them franchising this
yes I do do you see Ridley Scott continuing or do you hopefully yes I think it
kind of cool we got what the camera won't do it but have him do the second one
you know yeah it just long as if they did it right because this film was done
right I really think and it left it open for like I said sequel but just
long as it didn't get like where aliens got what the alien resurrection work
just got totally just ruined but it was a very good movie if you're an alien
freak like I am you have to see it and see 3D it's great sci-fi film currently 80%
on rotten tomatoes yeah new me rapace who was the original girl with the dragon
tattoo Michael fastbender who is very popular with the ladies fastbender yes
sure we see our guy pierces in this also Madagascar 3 on the other end of
the spectrum Europe's most wanted so there's that that currently is at 80% as
well Bell on me releases this coming week in your theaters I don't know if you
guys have heard about this film listen to this catch you ready that French it
is indeed is actually based on a true story I'm gonna give you the synopsis
first tell me if you're interested and then we'll go from there Bell on me is the
story of George De Roy who travels through 1890s Paris from cockroach ridden
Garrett to opulent salons using his wits and powers of seduction to rise from
poverty to wealth from a prostitutes embrace to passionate trists with wealthy
beauties in a world where politics and media jostle for influence where sex is
power and celebrity is an obsession Charla would you be interested is this
something you would be interested in I might see that yes now let me do this
let me throw this out at you the cast if anybody from toilets in an amount
christian sucks christian scott Thomas Uma Thurman
Kristina Ricci robert Pattinson out out get a tan and maybe I'll be interested
and don't sparkle also a movie called safety not guaranteed have you guys
heard about this film very interesting it's from the producers of little
Miss Sunshine great movie when unusual classified ad inspires three
cynical Seattle magazine employees to look for the story behind it they
discover a mysterious eccentric named Kenneth a likable but paranoid
supermarket clerk who believes he has solved the riddle of time travel and
intends to depart again soon together they embark on a hilarious smart and
unexpectedly heartfelt journey that reveals how far believing can take you we
read you if you look at the one sheet for this I want to read you what it
actually says it's the actual ad it says wanted someone to go back in time with
me this is not a joke you'll get paid after we get back must bring your own
weapons I have only done this once before safety not guaranteed
it's interesting I like the concept here also would you call Lola versus where
Greta Gerwig plays Lola a 29 year old woman dumped by her longtime boyfriend Luke
just three weeks before their wedding and I think we all know where that's
going also and I have to pay this next song because it's the same title I love
this song I thought who do you do this
it was on the bodyguard soundtrack was it really
actually that's where this version comes from it's the Curtis Tigers version
much I love Curtis Tigers well peace love and misunderstanding I know I can't
directed by two-time Academy Award nominee Bruce Barrisford peace love and
misunderstanding stars Academy Award winning Jane Fonda two-time nominee
Catherine Keener also Chase Crawford and Sundance as breakout star Elizabeth
Olson yes of that Olson family a comedy about an uptight New York City lawyer
who takes her two spirited teenagers to her hippie mother's farmhouse in the
countryside for a family vacation
also interested in this next film called Paul Williams still alive this is a
documentary anybody remember who Paul Williams is he was the short little dude in
Smoky in the band it he won two Grammys in an Academy Award wrote many
number one song started a Brian's a Palmer movie put out his own hit records
and albums was a guest on the tonight show 50 times and is the president of
ASCAP you might not have heard of them in the 1970s American singers the
American singers composers and publishers association artists and publishers
the American Society of composers artists and publishers Paul Williams was a
singer-songwriter actor-songwriter that emotional alienated teenage boys all over
the world wanted to be a sexable before MTV when sexables could be five-foot
two and sing songs about loneliness with the muppets a wistful musical
journey double reintroduce a new generation to Williams soulful classics Paul
Williams still alive is the charmingly self-narrated story of Stephen
Kestler's long time obsession with the former superstar and what happens to
the nostalgic filmmaker finally catches up with him I knew who this was I'm in
I don't know who it is I like Paul Williams I got to sing he's got that 70s
both boys have you what is he saying that some we would know do you have anything
oh I don't have any of his music in my mind so there's that DVD and blue
a new releases this week the aforementioned John Carter I will rent this but
I will rent this act of valor which we talked about on this show with the
servicemen women a safe house Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds that thing
that was pretty good really act about or see how stuff that they're active
on that was better really violent which one safe house
so you know action moving up into extreme or anything like that considering
but I still thought to get moved the act about aren't that was more of a stand-up
movie I think the rocks journey to the mysterious island releases this
Tuesday also machine gun preacher this is based on a true story about a
preacher that goes to a war-torn country in Africa I believe you are butler
yeah I'm very interested in this the ultimate collection for the three
studious which is basically all of the newer as Chad calls it better box sets
pulling a one large box it's not that expensive like 60 bucks and the biggest
matches in ECW history by top at that footage is really grainy and then finally
for the first time ever on Blu-ray you don't think this is a purchase right
your mind is I we already have this on DVD and apparently this is a holy
grail DVD like you can't find this on DVD anywhere but now being released on
Blu-ray in 7.1 yeah yellow submarine this song annoys my father more than
anything and one time we went to dinner and he was getting on me and Hannah's
nerves really bad my sister so we just started screaming yellow submarine in
the restaurant and he was like I have nothing that's right
we're gonna do one quick on campus story because this came up the other day and by
the way you are listening to the clubhouse live every Saturday night and on the
east coast five on the west coast like the show on Facebook look up the clubhouse
podcast you can follow me on Twitter at yes that Rob Irvin you can follow the
show on Twitter at clubhouse show D41576 King of Bowling Charlotte Parker on
Pinterest and chat is at and chat MPG 6.9 one quick on campus story you guys
heard this story no apparently the son of Peepuff Diddy Daddy plays a little bit
football for high school he has been offered a full-ride scholarship and has
accepted a full-ride scholarship at UCLA okay before we get too deep into this
knowing what you know right now given the facts of the case don't we're gonna
start with you what is your opinion if you aren't it having a problem with it
Andrew I agree with that Charlotte I mean why would they offer for I don't know
I mean I don't see a problem here is the uproar there are people saying and I'll
give you my opinion here in a minute this is a school that gets taxpayer money
for its scholarships why are we giving a scholarship to the son of a guy
that's worth half a billion dollars here is my opinion number one totally on board
with him getting a scholarship because he earned it number two and this is a
a point somebody brought up the other day how many of these kids that are
collegiate athletes that you see that are on scholarship come from rich
families a lot of them why is this why is this any different my opinion is first
of all good on because I'm not a big p-puff ditty daddy fam good on him for
getting the kid mobilized enough to want to get a scholarship on his own because
p-puff did he get it is it just do it every one I'll write a check but he did he
said you went out there and you earned a scholarship now I have not heard if
they all of a sudden are gonna build the p-puff ditty daddy library at UCLA but since
I haven't heard that I am I am operating under the assumption that this kid
earned the scholarship on his own with it's because I've seen a picture of the
kid the kids style like he went he did the whole muscle thing and it gets kind of
stout I'm on board with this I don't I don't see the problem I mean why are we
discouraging him people are saying that the other kids that could have used that
scholarship they aren't gonna get it now because he did but you know what he got
it give the kid credit and a thing has seemed like he could be cut off from his
dad like like what Bill Gates does and not give a bunch well it's like George
Lucas says I got to constantly tell my kids I'm rich you're not and kudos to
p-puff ditty daddy for being supportive of his kid and going you know what go
out there and make your own way in the world I'm cool with this now granted I
think he gave him like a Bentley for his 16th birthday or something stupid but in
this particular category completely okay with this I don't see the problem it's
not that kids fall through his dad is no and the fact that he did this on his
own completely okay with it I mean he could have I mean whatever he's being called
right now p-pitty whatever he could have easily just said you know let's not do
college I'll just give you a job where I work and exactly eventually you'll be
president in the next two weeks because you're my son but he didn't I'm on board
with it I just and I think it's a great thing and you're right about 90% of the
kids who do get scholarships come from very wealthy family is and is this
literally the case of don't hate to play or hate the game I'm sure it's just
somebody who wanted the scholarship and didn't get it who's complaining just
bitterness oh yeah totally all right let's get into wrestling talk
and we're running a little bit behind that I don't we know there's no
wills on the show tonight's job this queen Latipa I just wanted to make sure it
is okay money in the bank is back on we are gonna have money in the bank
this year will be July the 15th have you seen the poster yes love it it looks
like the cover of like Forbes magazine this money in the bank and it's
alfredo del Rio oh my gosh looks great on board I'm just glad because when they
were talking about taking this pay-per-view away I was mad because I love money in
the bank last year's money in the bank pay-per-view was the best pay-per-view of
the year when you because they took it away from WrestleMania which made me mad
I love that style of match I think it's awesome I'm just I hate the whole oh we're
gonna you know win money in the bank and then we come out at the end of a match
from the champs on the ground and beat down and take it like that's what makes
creative great that's not creative anymore you've done it seven billion times
come up with something else and they don't do anything after that so
Daniel Bryan come up with another way edge three times I'm pretty sure that was
all James I'm sure creative had nothing the only one who I can think you're
really said I'm gonna cash it in ahead of time was rbd yeah that was it and then
he didn't didn't he get hurt or something and he wanted but then he got the
suspension for the yeah yeah we're rolling the do me I think it's great for
creative and plus if you notice a lot of the last couple winners and that's why
picked Daniel Bryan last year yeah you did you did because I said they want to
but it's a chance for a mid-quarter to get move up to move to a higher shot if
you notice that literally a trial by fire I mean it's a good concept but you
need to work it a little differently like I'm tired of that whole let's come
out the end things come up with something else that's what makes it great though
he's gonna catch it he's gonna catch it yes he is that's the answer he's
gonna catch it but you look at something like Daniel Bryan how many times we're
like okay he's gonna do it now and then he doesn't okay he's gonna do it now
and then it didn't happen but I still know it's coming that's the thing he
didn't seem to lost the edge the first time the first time you're right but the
second time yeah I was like oh yeah it's gonna happen great job speaking of
money or lack thereof wwe stock right now
cha-ching seven dollars and fifty eight cents a share I do have that on me that is
a nine year low for wwe stock and a seven percent drop off from the last
quarter I don't know anything about stock so that I mean like what do you
want it to be okay my company but I work for our stock is at twenty five dollars
a share right now okay that's bad Apple stock or like I can get you an exact
number where's my phone 500 something now and it broke 500 a share the other day
I know that Facebook it now Facebook not doing as well Apple shares right now
if you want one share of Apple stock it is five hundred and sixty dollars and
ninety nine cents at one point it was six dollars Yahoo stock is fourteen ninety
two and that gives you any any comparison my company stock has gone way down
and apparently a lot of rain coming next week starting on Tuesday
oh crap Tom Pritchard out as head trainer at FCW his brother currently works
for TNA hmm he was also Tom was actually one half of the heavenly bodies
from that tag team I do his brother was brother love
oh I love love I love you let us talk a little bit about rock because there's
not much to talk about about any of these shows this week I couldn't even get
the Ross like bored first question memo to WWE do you actually expect me to
believe that at any point in the history of ever in this universe not a parallel
universe not bizarre a world this one that Alex Riley is the number one trend
on Twitter I don't care that friendship through him through a building you're not
going to get Alex Riley as the number one worldwide trend on Twitter maybe for
like half a second because everybody was off Twitter at the same time there was
one guy on Twitter and you know what I'm gonna get French a little bit of
credit I've never seen a man beaten with like a ripped off piece of the
announcement so that was different I like that angel I just don't we are we
gonna do this with him again I just I know you like you know I love face
Frenchy heel Frenchy just annoys me like he's not a good heel unless like when he
first came in and he won the world title was very first match and Jimmy
Hart was managing him and Jimmy Hart was the mouthpiece I'm cool with that but
Frenchy just he can't cut a heel promo very well he always looks like he's ready
to cry he's like the big big boy you know he's a big boy goes around beats up
everybody TNA's already got one of those and that don't work yeah I think the
bigger you are the the easier it is to be a face it's just harder to be it you
I just like seeing the old you know I brought a clay you kind of beat down still
undefeated though because the match never started and funk is on a roll make no
mistake they're all they're all they're getting their bill I like I like
and I'll say this for Smackdown I'll you know I like I'd like to get me to but
I'll see just next time with the Smackdown and that's all I've got for
all let's say anybody's got anything else they want to talk about that is this
show was brutal this week like Chad told me the other day since he's gonna be
off the show for a little while he's not even watching wrestling like he's
that disenfranchised right now I'm like you got it but I said dude you got to
keep up at least a little bit because we've got a live show to do in three
weeks what about three hours a week I mean I see Smackdown like in the
guide on the you verse and I'm like not even gonna waste my time I do it for the
kids June 23rd is at the dates that they go July 23rd they're gonna go three
hours every week what are they gonna do the same thing they do now which is
nothing because it works so well for Nitro I haven't watched role at all this
year so I have no idea what's going on let's move on and talk about impact had
their first live show speaking in which this week a Don West now leaving TNA
on amicable terms because he's gonna be a GM with the when that she
Washington franchise of the NAHL true story Don West what's that it's like a
binary cocky North America so there's that has has replaced flare in the gut
check segments I'm very very worried that we're trying to do a nexus thing
with this oh god because there's talk of a spin-off show just for gut check
which is really their version of NXT the guy they had this week Joey Ryan they
did not give him a contract he cuts a promo on taz taz slaps and blah blah blah blah blah blah we're doing a
nexus thing right but flare was one of the judges the judges are the afore
mentioned Bruce Richard taz and al snow al snow is the vice president of
talent relations for TNA on that out this week it smells wonderful in your house
right now your wife must be cooking something okay well the lovely
tells you this is urban is here last I knew so
Dixie Carter Dixie Carter Dixie Carter Dixie Carter
please know when your own pay-per-views are I mean this was live TV and I'll give
them credit good crowd for their first live TV show very good crowd Dixie
wants to invite all of us to slam a verse ring on September the 10th which was
nice well that I can do I'm just like really dude and then she introduces we
talked about on this show at the last pay-per-view that Brooke Hogan is now the
new VP in charge of the knockouts that segment could not have fallen any
bladder if they tried that was brutal television watch what are what are the
knockouts reaction to her being in charge have not heard anything and there
were none of them on camera but she said they were all very welcoming and she's
excited to be here in blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah and the song
she came out to get so certain new single so auto tuned so auto tuned I was like
oh my god I think she can sing a little bit and they also announced an
impact this week that TNA is going to have their own hall of fame the
feet the first inductee will be announced at slam aversory which is another
reason we need to go because I think it's gonna be sting that's what I was about
to say it's probably gonna be sting talk to your man get this done yes sir
we have a real hall of fame some Vince has been looking at land in Orlando for a
very long time for that so there's the significance behind Orlando I don't
know it's just where they're looking I know the people in Orlando know that
there's a head by TNA funny I know the people in Orlando know that there's
only 30 shopping days left to tell my birthday but that's just me that's all
I've got for impact this week I mean Westings gonna be real short this week
is there wasn't a lot fans of Randy Orton sorry to tell you your boys out 60
days for his second wellness policy violation so I can take it too much
of it and with Jericho out too they're hurting yeah this is not good and you're
gonna see seen on raw I mean I'd smack down some now he was supposed to wrestle
well he was supposed to wrestle Jericho at the pay-per-view so that kind of
just worked itself out yeah we don't have to book for you know we don't have to
book a replacement so there's that let's talk a little bit about Smackdown
Sin Cara returns who yeah exactly we which kind of goes into this next point I
love my Lillian Garcia I love her dearly but Lillian do not ever introduce him
has international superstar Sin Cara because that just does not apply and he
didn't have a trampoline bound slinger did he not use that because I really
wasn't paying that much interest just ran straight in he didn't do that a little
bounce over the top if that is who he really is once you know why didn't we do
that on television why didn't we do that on television I would have loved to
have seen that maybe he walked out with a Doritos Locos taco those are good they
are they're wonderful they're messy though I don't care I'm gonna sleep yeah and
this Damien Lindelof thing or Damien whatever his name is stand out stand out who
is Damien he's like a TV executive isn't he I like him I like this gimmick because
he's very I am I am I'm using a lot of big words and I'm very sophisticated like
three three different opponents he's gone I will not wrestle this ignoramus this
cretin I will not be wrestling him this gimmick should annoy me but I'm kind of
retained and he another he looks like Rafi from the league but he has purple
shorts you know when he comes into the ring and he comes out to hallelujah but
purple shorts it's just funny it's just funny I'm in one thing I want to bring
about Smackdown please do sir and they're doing a lot of this which is kind of
gonna hurt I think the company is they're doing a lot of building matches a lot of
squash matches lately yeah I said last week we need to get him to wrestle
people that are not in the lollipop guild and look at that Brodus Clay
evolving squash matches Sandows been squash and Brodus is wrestling people you've
heard of well not not any tough tough he has not had a tough challenge he has
not taken on Jericho or you name it he can't he can't wrestle scientifically
let's be honest I know but I'm saying though they he has not had they're doing a lot
of that squash matches that people especially on Smackdown they have three of them
and all these characters are squash squash squash it's right they're the
eighties you know let's get bring it back let's get some good good tough
competition where you know where the who the winner's not gonna be okay I agree
can't debate it but we've got to but we've also got like I said we've got to
get the quality competition that's my hope it let us move on and do a little bit
of NFL talk because we are your one-stop shop for all things sports and
entertainment things just get a little bit more complicated for the New Orleans
Saints out as of late last night it was announced that there has been a ledger
and not that has been discovered in bounty gate that's so terrible oh it gets
worse it's because there are things that are being rated if you make somebody
what they call a cart off like they haul them off in the thousand bucks for wax
which is solid solid hits jarring hits four hundred dollars piece if you
commit a mental error they will dock you one hundred dollars and apparently
every player was updated weekly with their progress oops and all the guys
suspended all the players suspended have appealed but again the guy that does
the appeals is the guy that got you fired in the first place you morons that's
that I'm saying stupid and you do officially now have your team that will be
handling hard knocks this year
you're happy
we're always in control
I used to really really love this song until I found out this guy did the same
exact song for like the Houston Oilers
like I was in middle school I'm like yeah we got a fight song what and I got to
college guys like listen to this and it was the exact same words you just
with Houston Oilers in it I was like shut up
but the Miami Dolphins will be featured on hard knocks this year anything to get
my dolphins press I'm good and as long as it's good press it's going to be
Ryan Panahill which you know what I'm giving San
Hill I'm I'm I'm going in with an open mind because it can't be any worse than
we've had for the last seven years yeah it can't be any worse than we had
since marina because you realize we've had like 27 different starting quarterbacks
since Dan marina and less than 20 years
I still love the song takes me back to a simple time so that one Superbowl
they've been in my lifetime and got run out of the building by the redskins
marina is working here with anybody have anything for tech or you look let's
let's get the music started home in seven six five four three two one and I would
first like to ask you you you found something the other day that you sent a text
to Chad Chad sent that text to me about a deal at fries oh yeah please share
that with our audience the deal fries was a 250 gigabyte Xbox 360 for two ninety
nine ninety six and and you get a wireless controller and you get a hundred
dollars fries for a hundred dollar fries gift card did they just have like a
third of them I don't know for 250 gigabyte I mean that's pretty good that's
really good you could sell that online and just give it yeah it's awesome I think it's
a couple it gets you a couple games a couple of movies exactly I think you need to buy
the movies anymore than if everything you can get on your Xbox 360 now but yeah
it's something that you want to talk about oh yeah I read online the day that there's a new game
coming out I think yes some of the first footage has come out it takes place in the criminal
underground in the Star Wars universe also E3 get ready to fire up this coming week where people
are going to get their first hands on with the Wii U that's going to be on display also have you
guys seen the footage from this new DC fighting game I can't remember the name of it off hand
but it looks like there's a there's a shot they showed in it where Superman punches somebody
and put just them through a building like they go find through the building like it's going to be
completely interactive environments in 360 it just looks awesome if that indeed is gameplay it looks
same technology's out there I hope so hopefully we'll have some stuff to talk about from E3 next week
on this very show so stay tuned for that we're gonna do a little bit of masalink baseball talk
apparently go for Phil Mikkelsen who apparently forgotten it was his wife's 40th birthday and left
in the middle of tournament this weekend oh I'm exhausted but it is my wife's 40th birthday just go
shoot a 78 and leave you are capable of that lefty and by the way thanks for telling Phil
Mikkelsen like he wants to see him in the off the gun that's what he always says he's like I hate him
and by the way thanks for letting everybody know how old your wife is publicly
because women love you revealing their age so much but he apparently is part of a group that is
trying to buy the San Diego Padres did not know they were up for sale I'm not shocked don't get me
wrong why would you want to be part owner of the San Diego Padres because that way you can have a
mascot that's a monk it has the little monsoon thing on his head I don't know
it just seems like a dog well look at this count boys it's Jerry Jones bought them for how much
and where they work now you never know how much you on this show we lost we talked about the
Steinbrenner trying to sell the Yankees anyway remember how much George Steiner paid when he bought
the Yankees 10 million dollars wow of course that was a long time ago there nice ROI there George well done
got rest yourself sir Johan Santana pitches a no-hitter on Thursday and it's the first no-hitter in
Metz history how does that happen you have a world series ring how does that occur it was 1986
but you have a world series ring you've never had a no-hitter they were like the amazing
miracle Metz did not they were like in last place halfway through the season so they probably
didn't have very good pitching that shot for Nolan let's go through your current standings and
Charlotte's beloved A L East the Toronto blue jays 27 and 26 they are three and a half games
out of first place Charlotte's beloved Boston Red Sox only a game ahead of them but they are one
game behind her hated New York Yankees the Orioles now are out of first place by a game they are
a game behind the Tampa Bay race they have been losing games and I'm gonna dispel another rumor
that has been around it in three years and then I've sit on the show before tropical field is not
that bad of a stadium I've been there they've got a live devil rate tank in left center feeling it's
just awesome don't have a pool to yes they do did you see Dan Marley a couple weeks ago no a buddy
of his has their the little there's a deck down there they serve food and stuff so his buddy calls
him says hey come on down grab some food so Marley goes down there to grab food as he's got a
plate of food he's he's formulating in his hand he turns around and a ball is hit bounces he catches
it with the other hand just dead catches it still keeps his plate yes wait it not dumb it's
Dan Thunder Marley did he switch with three pointer you see that footage yes where he just gets
up out of the commentator shows his one on one side and then one on the other side back to back
from center court it's amazing former former he great in the al central the Minnesota twins
here's this one 11 and a half games back right now they are 18 and 33
they are tied for the worst nope there's one team worse than them wow Kansas City Royals are four
games better than the Minnesota twins but the royals are a game and a half back of Detroit Detroit
is three and a half four and a half back of Cleveland Cleveland is a game and a half back of the
Chicago White Sox in the AL West the Seattle Mariners who hanged what they had 23 on the Rangers
the other night they are currently in last place they're nine games out but they are only a half
game back of Oakland so no mercy rule in baseball yeah and then Oakland is four games behind the
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Los Angeles County California America North America Earth and the
Angels are four and a half games back of your Texas Rangers who are 31 and 21 right now but they
have lost three straight by the way the White Sox nine game winning streak going into today they don't
fire and the Angels are one like nine out of 10 in the National League the Angels are tenets
or no they're nine in one in their last ten you are correct Andrew and and the LA is one in
nine in their last ten in the NL West the before the aforementioned San Diego Padres with the worst
record in baseball at 18 and 35 are 14 and a half games out of first place they are five games
behind the Colorado Rockies who are only a half game behind Arizona Arizona four five games behind
San Francisco and the Giants are four games behind the LA Dodgers oh Dodgers about a team and
you start winning never gets old in the NL Central these Chicago Cubs are 11 games back of first
place they are three and a half games behind the Houston Astros the Astros are a game behind the
Brewers who are right in the middle of the pack the Brewers are two and a half games behind both the
Cardinals and the Pirates they are two they are three games out of first place to the Reds by the way
the Cardinals have lost four straight Houston's lost seven straight Cardinals win that division and
in the only division that matters in Major League Baseball the NL East the Phillies still in last place
because completely upside down tied with my beloved Braves but they're they're both only three
games out of first place the NL East is a tight division this year the my beloved Marlins are a
game and a half out there a half game behind the Metz the Metz are one game behind the Washington
Natinals who are 30 and 21 right now I wouldn't even more that Jersey out there but that's all they
had you know I call them that right Daniel where I call the Nattles right they showed up on the
field one day and all their Jersey said Natinals they were they were missing the eye really and but
but that's all they had they didn't have a choice yeah you still play I've seen in that there was a
pitcher that they played a joke on for at the with the Rangers where he had on the wrong color Jersey
yes I didn't hear about that he was gonna he was warming up the pitch and they're like uh we might
want to go ahead and tell him now that you know change the earthy hey dude seriously dude
so I'm gonna kick some of the back or something yeah exactly well that's like when Mike when Mike
all-stop retired from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers people got this huge uproar because they had a
frame jersey and it's an all-side people like you can't spell his name right it's like no do your
history his very first game in the NFL they spelled his name wrong on the jersey and it's an
all-side yeah love I love the a-train god that he was a beast yeah smoke like do you just feed him
like live cows every because he was just he was like you're like right back supposed to be you know
street light is on so let's play the theme music I like this too I'm getting used to one of my
favorites from Sesame Street run as a kid do you read that story this week that apparently
prisoners prisoners at Gitmo one of the torture devices was they would just play nothing
but Sesame Street music all the time oh actually I read one thing we're in that'd be
the greatest day for me or the Bieber who apparently suffered a concussion recently after he
caused a panic in Norway well didn't they do that at a school they played Justin Bieber like
constantly they raise enough money I'll talk I'll talk Charlie you have a list tonight I don't
I do not I don't want to get too far into this and then Charles girl list which did you have
you listen back to that show I'm not great show good I've been very very happy with the way
the shows have been going we have been on a really good roll this week we're kind of we're going to
do a two week list okay it's a two-parter it's it's it's it's the cliffhanger list I should have
done this as a season finale then shouldn't we're already here we're going to do what I consider
this week's my top 10 favorite movie themes and that doesn't have they're not necessarily
instrumental but they are themes two films my personal 10 favorite if you disagree
go pound sand it's my list we start with number 10
and I've got all 10 to play two of them I had to download but legally
and this this song works on multiple levels for me Charlie you know what this is or you know
because you see the list yeah who does it we're going to play out let her let her
that's she sounds awesome too
This is the theme to Golden Eye.
Written by Bono in the Edge, by the way.
Tina Turner.
Really cool video too.
And it was also really the return of Bono.
This was Pierce Brosnan's first Bono movie.
Great one of my favorite Bono movies.
Great theme song.
So that's number 10.
Number 9.
We returned to somebody we talked about earlier.
I love this song.
I love the Ducky Fresh song from the experience.
A great song on this soundtrack.
Ghostbusters 2.
Bobby Brown on our own.
This line though.
It took me forever to figure out what the heck he was saying right there.
And he does have a cameo in the film.
He runs into the outside of the mayor's office.
He's like, can I get a proton pack from my little brother?
I like to serve proton pack.
Oh, that was Bobby Brown.
That was Bobby Brown in the film.
Heart and soul.
Get dance.
Number 8 on the list.
You can't hate on this song.
As much as I can't stand her.
This song breaks me down on a molecular level.
I love this song.
Plus, I have very, very fond memories of this movie and this song.
I mean, I remember it was my first year of college.
It was, I actually saw two movies that day because they both came up to this one.
And the Adam's family sequel came on the same day.
That one will show up next week.
Just, it was really, I mean, Disney started the ball rolling with the little mermaid.
But there wasn't a big, like there wasn't a big radio-friendly song from that.
I mean, everybody remembers under the sea or part of your world, but they weren't.
Those were in the context of the film.
Beauty and the Beast.
This was not the version used in the movie.
This was the version they played over the end credits.
Because Angela Landsbury actually sang it in the film.
By the way, Disney is about to open this fall a restaurant at Disney World that is modeled after the ballroom in Beauty and the Beast.
It's called the PR guest restaurant.
And it looks, I've seen some of the pictures.
It looks gorgeous.
Just, but I can never, let's go around the room on this one.
If you had to choose.
This song, a whole new world.
Charlotte.
A whole new world.
Okay, Andrew.
A whole new world.
Okay, done.
I go with this one, I like this one.
See, I'm kind of two minds.
Because it kind of depends on the day.
It's kind of like my Scarlett Johansson, Catherine Zeta Jones' conundrum.
Because sometimes one's at the top of the list and sometimes it's the other one.
Scarlett Johansson.
So she has a red head.
God, she was great.
But it's my list again.
So if you don't agree, go Ponsan.
I just want to play some of this.
So you can kind of get the feel for this.
It's also from one of my favorite movies.
And bar.
Which one?
I'm going to see if anybody knows.
This is Nancy Wilson from Heart.
That gives you a clue.
Nancy Wilson.
One's married to anyone.
Brian Wilson.
Nope.
One's married to Cameron Crow.
Who directed a little opus called Say Anything.
This is the theme from Say Anything.
It's called All From Love.
It's a single.
One of my favorite movies ever.
Wonderful soundtrack.
Great soundtrack.
And actually, originally the theme of this movie was going to be,
if you remember the smithereens, a girl like you.
It was originally supposed to be on this soundtrack.
But if you listen to the lyrics of a girl like you,
they literally wrote it for the movie.
And the production company felt it gave away too many plot points of the movie.
So like you guys can have, we appreciate it,
but you can have it back.
We move on to number six.
The original version.
Thank you.
Love the movie.
Love the movie.
From the Breakfast Club.
And a song that simple lines did not want to do.
They did not want to be part of a soundtrack.
Really?
It took, because this was one of the favorite bands of John Hughes.
He literally flew to Europe and met with him.
It's like, guys, can you please,
because I'm such a huge fan.
Can you do me a solid?
They ended up doing it.
They're probably their biggest hit.
This one alive and kicking.
Again, from a great film.
I think it should be like,
if you're going to be an American,
you have to see the Breakfast Club.
Yeah.
And they were,
I'll just do it.
That's it. That's all I need.
There was always talk of them doing a part two.
Thank God they never did.
I could see it, though.
I got a class reunion.
They all made a class reunion.
They go out for drinks.
I think it would soil the original.
I really, really do.
You never know.
Of course, the original is a class.
I could watch that show over and over.
Debate it.
That's all you have to hear.
And you turn into cordhole.
Wow!
Oh, that's just so great.
You will believe a man can fly.
And you did.
That's the least I've ever seen.
You will believe a man can fly.
And you did.
That's the least I've ever seen.
And you can see the difference.
They're all dead.
They're all dead.
They're all dead.
I just, ah, so great.
You will believe a man can fly.
Yes.
Have to use all Superman the movie and it's still I mean people still use it to this day
John Williams is a flippin genius. I don't care who you are
Seriously
Number four
Another one that took kind of a coin hallway on moment
This is the instrumental version, but oh, okay, I said you're the other one
Yeah, I wanted the other version but I queued this one up from my mistake because I've got the CD. It's called the rocky story and so it's got
All of the you know a sampling of all the films because the other one's the one that people the vote
Let's see. I'm gonna make you that one
And this is so 1977 just the way you hear it
You see people slow dancing in a disco
The fog on the floor
There it is. That's the one you want. Yeah, the lit up stands floor with the fog going across
More polyester than should be allowed in one building at a time
But you know if I'd be a perfect honest
You know what show has ruined this movie for me
Family guy
Especially the Empire Strikes Backup episode where they're parodying a rocky for
Not for nothing, but I think the Empire's got a better gym than we do
But rocky number four in this list, but you can't write you can't you can't write rocky above this next song and this is the original
Paul freaking McCartney
And what I loved about you okay, yes, I'm fine
What I loved about this theme especially because again two bomb themes on the list. I could do bond themes all day long
Although they have not announced who's doing the theme for Skyfall yet
I'm so ready for this
Have you seen it's me have you seen the
Have you seen the the new trailer?
The teaser trailer
Just the dynamic change in this song how it goes from that bow and it gets really fast and it goes
It just kind of sets you up for the film
Gunther roses did a decent job, but it's not Paul McCartney and Wings. It's just not I don't care who you are
This this is Paul McCartney and Wings own this and I don't know
The last bond theme I wasn't a fan of
That Jack White and Alicia Keys did for
Quantum a solace
There's another one that I'm not a fan of, but we're going to talk about that when next week
Number two and a lot of people are going to be shocked that this is number two on my list, but it is
And I know when Chad hears this on playback he's going to be shouting blast for me and I don't care
But you hear that and you know what time it is you just you know what time it is it's about to go down
No, in fact the 20th century Fox that didn't let them that even lead something to your Star Wars. Yeah, that is true
Whatever see a 20th century Fox film in the year they think it's Star Wars. It's the next thing comes your mind
Thank jules might be on a bit of a delay which is I can let him I die
But number one my favorite movie theme of all time. Oh, by the way, does anybody remember the trivia when it comes to me about don't you forget about me?
What do you mean the trivia there is a piece of trivia that applies to me about don't you forget about it very first song I ever sing on karaoke by myself
True sorry 1994
But number one if you know me
This number one has played a huge role in my karaoke career
It was the theme song that we played to start the karaoke show for years. It is my favorite favorite favorite theme song of all time
Debate it debate the greatness of theme from shaft
You automatically smile and all you can think of is like bell bottoms walking down a road, you know
And but you know what else I think whenever I hear this I don't know if you ever saw this the episode of the Simpsons
We're Homer things. He's got the poison blowfish. I think since this last night on earth
When they're at the Japanese restaurant Lisa and Bart are in a different room singing karaoke and Bart is singing this song
It cuts to
That shaft is a bad mother shut your mouth. I'm just talking about shaft
He's like I can dig it and that's what Bart does
He's a complicated man, and no one understands him, but he's one mind. She goes. God Jeff
And I just
One of the greatest Simpsons moments of all time because I'm like of all the songs in the history of ever
You pick this one that has no lyrics for the first two and a half minutes
I thought I almost had this on karaoke, but the version that I got it like cuts it off for some reason the file was to
File would I didn't have the whole file so it cuts it off right ever you start thinking I'm like
But that's the list next week. We're going to the other side of the spectrum
You're where you're least favorite ones of all time and that this has already been written
Can I give an honorable mention please do sir?
Jaws
Yeah, you think you hear
Halloween
That was that Halloween or is that yeah, okay? Yeah, I thought that was the exorcist. No Halloween trust me
I watch Halloween like weekly
You probably lifted
Some of the some of the hell fire that you have to endure or had to endure had to
Trying to kill time was the eyes of case God rest his soul
Because at least we can do is let eyes of case sing the chorus to this song
I
Don't know like I have this I also have the entire soundtrack to
Enter the dragon
Which I actually use as my career if you think for a while
Tell them shabby
Wait for here we go
Man
This song just makes you want to get the wink in the gun, which is super creepy
It's not easy. I want you to pound sand
Star Wars
It's dishonest at what we've got was a kid is that stank toe jam under all the smell and funk make you want to call your mama teleback
But that's the list that's gonna do it for the show this week. We appreciate each and every one of you listening in
Can I bring one thing please do you have 35 seconds week 10. I know game of Thrones finale tomorrow night. Oh, I'm so ready now
I've ever read ahead or anything like that
And Peter
Definitely does such a great job with this, you know what happened if this character goes, you know
Let's talk about that off air. Okay, because I'm upset about last week's episode
But as you said was last week's episode was also awesome at the same time. Yeah, so check point please like our page on Facebook

And this emptiness fills my heart
When I want to be
I'd rather be in my car
But whichever way
I come into the place you are
All my instincts
They return
Your grandfather's soul
So soon we'll go
Without a wish
Without my pride
I'll reach out from inside
In your eyes
The light's the heat
Your eyes
I am complete
Your eyes
You see the joy
Your eyes
The thousand churches
Your eyes
Resolution
Your eyes
Of all that movement is so chised
For I see the light and the heat
I wanna be that will be
I wanna touch the light
The heat I see in your eyes
The
I don't like to see so much pain
So much wasted
And this moment keeps it being away
I guess you're tired
Working so hard for us tonight
I look to the time
To keep me awake and alive
And all my instincts
They return
And the grandfather's soul
So soon we'll go
Without a wish
Without my pride
I'll reach out from inside
In your eyes
