Welcome.
My name is Rob, I am the executive producer of the Clubhouse Podcast and it's Mother's
Day.
So happy Mother's Day to all of you, Mother's out there.
Talked to mine earlier today, the boy's got Jennifer very nice card.
We ordered Olive Garden to go because there's no way we were going to deal with that whip.
Dear God, man.
Chad, out on assignment tonight, Jen Rome, homesick.
Well, hope to have both of them back very, very soon.
This is actually our last show for the month of May.
This show will be off for the next two weeks and we'll talk about that here in just a
moment.
Let's go around the day, a sitting in the co-host chair.
Is a man that looks like he is rip-roaring ready to go.
He is Alex.
Welcome, sir.
Oh, I'm excited.
We're getting started a little bit early.
So quick, happy Mother's Day to both my mom and Nana and shout out to Nana.
Coming out of the day, this is the official fat checker of this show and a man who earlier
told us that he has multiple purple shirts and enlightened us on the colors.
He doesn't have to do that again.
You may know him as Igboonu, but his mom and even Don Ford, I'm gonna call him Don Ford.
I'm gonna be good.
Talk right into the microphone, Don.
I adjusted it.
Strike one.
Okay.
To my mom.
Yeah, my stepmom.
You met him both.
I did.
Very, very high quality humans, both of them.
Happy Mother's Day to them both.
And then also our unofficial kid, Doggy or Pet Doggy, that's a stuffed animal.
Got the Fantastic Faith Ford, a Mother's Day card with the DSW gift card.
Yeah.
And she's a big fan of the DSW.
Oh, yes, she is.
Oh, yeah.
That's a shoe store for those of you that don't have those in your area.
Yeah.
She's a big fan.
Oh, yeah.
Big fan.
So she got a gift card from the our pet doggy.
So.
No updates or corrections from last week.
We were clean.
Yeah.
So we have got a lot to get to.
We have to dive right in.
And as always, we start with the car of NAS.
They rescue.
They rescued.
They raced yesterday because NASCAR never races on Mother's Day.
That's one of the big things with them.
So yesterday we were at Kansas.
I'll actually watch a little bit of the truck race on Friday night.
I'll explain why when we get to POI.
Understood.
Here are your top 10 finisher, starting in 18th finishing in 10th.
And the number 37 Chevrolet Chris Boucher, Boucher, anyone, Boucher.
In ninth place, starting in 21st and the number 31 Chevrolet, Tyler, or Riddick, that's
kind of a superhero name in eighth place, starting in 35th and winding up in eighth.
That's a jump.
Kyle Larson, attorney at law, starting in ninth winding up in seventh and the number
one Chevrolet Kurt Boucher, starting in 12th winding up in sixth and the number 48 Chevrolet.
So half of your top finishers, the entire six through 10 is all Chevy and then two in the
top five.
Seven times, seven times, seven times, seven times, seven times, seven times, spring cup,
whatever you call them champion, Jimmy Johnson.
In fifth place in the number 14 Ford, starting in the second, falling to fifth, is Clint
Bowyer, the archer, we're just going to be archer from now on, phrasing.
In fourth place, starting in 32nd, there must have been another big wreck in this race.
There had to be.
So I can 32nd winding up in fourth and the number nine Chevrolet, Chase Elliott, and the
new Sheriff in town, starting in sixth winding up in the bronze medal and the number 20,
number 20 Toyota Eric Jones, the silver medal from fifth goes to the number 88 Chevrolet,
Alex Bowman.
Uh-oh.
You realized your problem.
Bowman and Bowyer.
This is not going to be a bowed well for me or bow well for me.
I'm not called one of them.
No.
Winning the race, starting in fourth place in the number two, Ford is Brad Tesolowski, not
a member of the cast of Monsters Inc. as we once thought.
Here are your monster cup energy NASCAR cup standings.
That's a lot.
Yeah.
The playoff started today.
Your odd men out would be Ryan Hello Newman in Austin Dillon, the new, the other new Sheriff
in town.
Johnson's in 16th right now.
Now, granted, it's May.
Yeah.
There's a lot of time left.
But he is eight points back on Larson.
Larson is four points back on Eric Jones.
Jones is seven back on Daniel Swarez.
You killed my father.
Be prepared to die.
R.S. is 14 back on Bowman.
Bowman is five back on Eric Alma Rolla.
I mean, we haven't said a lot this year.
Alma Rolla is six back on the stone, Ryan Blaney.
Blaney is 17 back on Bowyer.
Bowyer's 30 back on Kurt Bouch.
Bouch is nine back on Martin Truex, Jr.
He is eight back on Hamlin.
Hamlin is 17, 3, ish back on Keselowski, Keselowski, 2 back on Elliott, Elliott 17 back
on Harvick.
Harvick is 31 back on Kyle Busch.
Kyle Busch is nine back on Joey, like, I know.
So that's where we're at right now.
Points wise.
Now, a projective playoff, that's a whole different issue and I'm even going into it.
Oh, it's too early for that.
So where are we next?
So we're off this week, because again, Mother's Day, they do not race on Mother's Day, that's
why they race last night.
We'll be racing again on Saturday this week for two races.
We're going to have the monster energy open and then the all-star race are this weekend.
Oh, okay.
Those will both be on your FS1.
And then they will race, of course, the day before Memorial Day because that will also
be at Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600.
That will be the official race.
This is kind of their all-star break this week, but they do have an all-star race.
So it's a very cool journey, really freaking weird.
Aren't they always?
Why is that blinking?
Oh, because it reminds me when I drank.
Wow.
It seems a little lazy, I'm just saying.
Have you met me?
I have, but that doesn't mean I can't make observations, I'm just saying.
All right.
That's why I don't bring it on the video show.
That'd be kind of cool, though.
What's a little white going on?
Oh, we're going to need to table this.
That would be crazy.
We're going to need to table this.
Okay.
Sorry.
All right.
We got a lot of TV news this week because this week was the upfronts.
We talked about this a little bit last week.
The upfronts are where the...
But it was only some of the upfronts, correct?
Not all of them.
Not all of them, but we've got a pretty good idea of everything that's going to happen.
Right.
Where the networks go, they have...
It's like a big press conference, and the networks announced their schedules for the
upcoming fall, what's coming back, and what is not.
Some interesting news coming out of the upfronts this week will get to first, but first, we
do want to send our deepest condolences out to the friends, fans, and family of one Peggy
Lipton.
Yes.
Don, I don't know if you know who she is.
She passed away at 72 this weekend.
She was, Julie, on the original mod squad.
Okay.
Also, a model, very popular actress, great body of work.
And the odd thing is, there's a movie coming out this week where she was...
She was the predecessor, too, this movie that's coming out this week, and we'll get to
movie talk.
So, it's five days before the movie premieres, and she passes away.
Okay.
So, our deepest to everybody that loved Peggy Lipton.
Production has begun on season 10 of The Walking Dead.
I still don't know why they're growing.
I can't watch the show.
I can't watch the show.
I can't watch the show.
I can't watch the show.
They're making money somehow, so...
The CW has ordered Batman and Nancy Drew to series, and also they spin off from Riverdale.
Is that the Jagged Chronicles?
No, this is a character they introduced that's trying to get a music career, I can't
remember a name.
Okay.
Melissa McCarthy will be replacing Steve Harvey on the little big shots.
That's true.
That's why, maybe because Steve Harvey's finally realized that 75 shows is a little bit
much.
Okay.
And...
Uh-oh.
There's a big sigh.
So, agents of shields started this week.
I have not watched it yet, but they have announced that it's not going to follow the MCU
timeline.
I did see that.
Mainly because they thought the debut was going to be in January, not May, which would
have been three months before endgame, so they couldn't sink it up.
Which...
Supposed to be the final season.
I may start watching it then.
It's not.
Because ABC at the upfronts announced renewals for American Housewife, which my wife enjoys.
Blackish, and we talked last week that they're going to get a spin off from that.
Yes.
Bless this mess.
I believe that's Dak Shepherd.
It's...
I think you heard that.
It just started.
The Conners gets renewed.
Fresh off the boat, which is a very strange situation because Constance Wu went a little
crazy on Twitter about it.
Yeah.
A million little things, which is there this is us.
The good doctor comes coming back.
Gray's Anatomy gets two more seasons, and I had to calm my wife down a little bit last
night.
She had heard it as they're only doing two more seasons, so you know, honey, they just
renewed it for two more seasons.
But haven't been there been reports before that Gray's was supposed to end.
Guess what it was.
How to get away with murder will be coming back.
And agents of shield gets renewed.
That show is starting to anger me.
The final season of modern family starts this fall.
The rookie got renewed.
My wife's a big guy.
No, your wife's a fan of that show too, isn't she, Don?
The rookie.
With Nathan Filion.
The cop show.
I'm a fan of the cons.
So we never got into that one.
Oh, that she said she was.
Single parents.
I think that's got Tyr and Killian in it if I'm not mistaken.
Station 19, which is the spin off from Gray's Anatomy.
American Idol, the Goldbergs and Schooled, all renewed.
Caught up on the Goldbergs and Schooled last night.
They're doing another American Idol.
They're going to do it forever.
But they have canceled speechless with many driver, which
my wife was a fan of, for the people, which my wife was a fan
of, something called the fix.
I don't know what that was.
Oh, no, they're cutting that.
It's been canceled.
OK.
The kids are all right, which wasn't on very long.
Splitting up together.
Another one of my wife's favorites in Whiskey Cavalier,
not getting a season two, that announced today.
Oh, that's going to upset a lot of significant others.
And take two, also not getting renewed.
The fantastic pay for it is going to not
like the Whiskey Cavalier and the fix.
And I'm starting to like Lauren Kohan from the walking.
Yes.
So CBS has renewed blue bloods, which I can't.
Cody gets all the credit that won't for that.
He's still winning that contest.
I wish you one day I want you to remember what it was.
You thought was going to beat it.
I'd have to go back and look it up.
Bull, which my wife very much enjoys,
one more season for criminal minds.
They're calling it after one more.
Oh, really?
Yes, sir.
FBI gets renewed.
God-friended me.
That was a weird thing.
Hawaii 5.0 gets renewed.
MacGyver gets renewed.
Madam Secretary.
Magnum PI.
Man with a plan.
That was when I was kind of surprised it back.
Because I like LeBlanc.
I just didn't think that had in that kind of way.
Mom gets two more seasons.
My wife's starting to get into that.
All things in CIS, not shocked.
The neighborhood, seal team,
swat and young sheldon gets two more seasons.
They have canceled elementary.
Oh, finally.
I don't know.
I forget things about that.
The Murphy Brown reboot is not getting another season.
Life and peace is not coming back.
Happy together, not coming back.
Salvation, not coming back.
And fam, not coming back.
The CW has renewed the 100.
All American, the final season of Arrow.
Black Lightning for season three, burden of truth.
The Charmed Reboots going to get a second season.
Legends of tomorrow, which I had heard rumors
just are only doing one more season.
But the article I read did not specify that.
Where was I?
OK, Dynasty.
That's getting another season.
The Flash in the dark.
Legacies, the outpost, Riverdale, the Roswell Reboots,
Supergirl, and the final season of Supernatural.
Which, you know, congratulations on season 74.
They have canceled crazy ex-girlfriend,
Jane Bavurgeon, and IZombie.
Oh, Sean's going to be upset.
I think we knew that coming in, though, if I remember correctly.
I don't know.
Fox has renewed 9-1-1, Bob's Burgers, Empire,
Family Guy, Last Man Standing, The Masked Singer,
The Resident, The Orville, and two more seasons of The Simpsons.
Cool.
Hey, as long as I heard the Orville in there.
Yeah, me and the Fantastic Four.
We'd like 9-1-1.
That is good.
I've heard good things.
And she's an Empire.
How are you doing?
Yeah.
And they have canceled the cool kids,
the gifted lethal weapon, The Passage,
with Mark Paul Gosler, and Rell have all been canceled.
NBC has renewed the Blacklist, Brooklyn 9-9,
all things Chicago, Ellen's Game of Games,
which this year will include holiday specials
called Ellen's Greatest Night of Giveaways.
Good girls, the good place, SVU,
a manifest will show up in mid-season.
Okay.
New Amsterdam, Superstore, Willing Race,
and they've given this as us three more seasons.
I never realized how little I watch on that network.
They have canceled.
I feel bad, Marlon, Midnight Texas,
Reverie, which my wife watched, and trial and error.
Oh, wow.
So a lot going on there.
Hope you kept up.
Season six for power will be its final one on stars.
Oh, wow.
Oh, face cannot like that.
And an interesting announcement from CBS All Access,
the Twilight Zone doing very well.
It's been renewed for season two.
But they're going to re-release the episodes
in black and white, which I think is kind of cool.
That is cool.
And Netflix has announced the partnership
with Dark Horse Comics.
Yes.
So I'm very excited about.
Yes.
So we're going to see where that goes.
TV on DVD and Blu-ray this week,
seasons one and two of the old school long-ranger series,
back in the day.
Also, the adventures of Robin Hood, the complete series.
I can't remember if that's the old one or the one like TNT
in the 90s.
I want to say, I think the adventures
are Robin Hood's the BBC one, isn't it?
Could be.
The seasons one through five of the Donna Reed show,
about an old school TV this week,
and the complete collection for Mr. P body and Sherman.
Oh, you're in the one episode.
I loved Mr. P body and Sherman.
Come along, Sherman.
Where are we going today, Mr. P body?
OK.
Anything else Don that you've got for TV talk?
Because that way we're not doing all the back tracks.
Please do.
The show on NBC didn't say anything
about the enemy within.
It was on the bubble last I knew.
OK, didn't say anything on the weather is cut or gone.
Have not read anything.
OK, it wasn't on the list anywhere that's the thing.
Let me see if I can find any on the NBC list.
I know Morse Chestnut was in that.
Good show.
I do like that.
Let's see.
It is still has not officially been announced yet.
OK, so that's kind of that's kind of strange
that they haven't done that yet, but you got that
coming for you.
So it's still it's still at this point.
It's still alive.
OK, we haven't been told otherwise.
All right.
All right, Alex, anything that you got for TV?
I was just going to say if it's the adventures of Robinhood TV
series that is the only one that pops up on Google,
it's from the 50 so the old old one.
Yes, they're enough.
All right.
It's POI time.
Bring it.
POI stands for Personal of Interest.
It is a segment we do on the show where we take a person
or an entity and we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
POI is starting to turn into story time with Rob Bay Bay.
So Friday night, I texted Alex and I said very simply
for the first time in my life, my Zen has been tested
at a sport clips.
And you would not tell me until now.
Right, because it was a little bit of a story
and I want to get into it now.
I am very brand loyal.
If I go somewhere and have a good experience in that somewhere,
I will tend to stay with that somewhere.
Because I'm not big on making changes all the time.
I like my routine.
I like things the way they're supposed to be.
And I don't mind saying the name because it's
sport clips, right?
They're right for my house.
I've been going there pretty much since they opened.
And they've been open a while.
They've gone through a lot of changes.
But I still stay, because it's right around the corner,
I had to get laundry done Friday night anyway.
And my brother's getting married this weekend.
So Ken and Angie are getting married this Saturday.
I'm very much looking forward to officiating the ceremony.
Kind of wanted to tighten up the haircut a little bit.
Because I like to do that a week before.
So it has a chance to grow in a little bit.
So I pull it into the parking lot of the sport clips.
Good parking spot.
I think there was a lady trying to vie for it,
but I already turned my signal, which
means I have clung on the parking spot.
And she follows me in with her two kids.
Young kids.
God bless them.
I get logged into the sport clips that
I put my number in and my name comes up on the screen
and a non-deck, which means I'm the next person.
Cool, I just sit down.
There is another kid that's already in there.
Before you.
That's already in the chair.
OK.
Screaming bloody murder about getting his haircut.
And how old are we talking about?
I would estimate this kid at 7 or 8.
Because I thought he was a little kid when he was in the chair.
But when they were done, he stood up.
And the counter was just below his shoulder.
So is there a possibility that this kid is special?
No.
There was no challenges to this show me.
OK.
I mean screaming the entire time.
Now, at this point, I'm the next person up.
So I've left my earbuds in the car.
But I don't want to run out and get my earbuds.
And then they call my name, and I'm not there.
Even though I'm parked very closely, I'm on a time schedule.
I got to get to the laundromat because if I wait too long,
and then I can't be at the laundromat,
because the laundromat closes at 10, which means
you have to have your last load started by 9.
Right.
That's the rule of the laundromat.
Respect it.
Hey, it makes perfect sense.
Exactly.
So look down, go to check social media.
Look up.
The lady in the two kids are walking to the back.
Did I miss something?
I look up.
All of a sudden, I'm now bumped down to number two.
And these kids are bumped up to number one.
Little frustrated.
Is there a logical explanation, though?
The only thing I've never seen it, again,
I've been going to this workplace for a long time.
I've had it where kids have come in after me and have waited.
There was a guy sitting right behind me with two kids.
And they were listed after me on the screen.
Now, what I'm getting at is, did you ever see a point
where they were on the list behind you?
I didn't look up to look.
I just saw my name up there.
So what I'm thinking is, and I have a couple of places near me,
you can log in and remotely put yourself in line,
but you do not appear on the registry
until you physically show up.
That might be the case.
So that's why I'm wondering if there's that possibility.
Still.
What the crap?
Yeah.
So I got the kids screaming his head off.
I got the two other kids that are sitting there.
And I got the guy behind me.
Nice guy.
Got no issues with him.
Gives his kid the iPad to play the game.
Audio on the iPads all the way up.
Right behind me.
And this goes on for a couple of three solid minutes
before he's finally like,
okay, turn that down.
Nobody needs to hear it.
So if we're putting up bow on this,
it's poor parenting and kid treatment.
Or special treatment or all that.
Would that be fair to assess?
I am what I'm assessing right now
is do I need to change places like in my haircut?
I have an answer for you.
Okay.
You can at select sports clips, check in online.
And to my knowledge, mine is not one of them.
I am looking for it right now.
It wasn't at one point.
They tried it and it didn't work
because there was a guy that I think did it
and he didn't show up for his appointment
and his name got pulled off the board
and he was very upset.
Wait, he didn't show up and his name got pulled?
Right, I think they tried it at one point
and this, because I went there once
and there was a guy that showed up after I was there
and they called his name.
And then he showed up and left promptly
after saying that he had made a reservation.
But it was very, very frustrating.
And I'm now having to contemplate,
I said on social media yesterday
that I learned the term seasonal hair.
How people's hair can tend to change color
depending on the season.
And I said, I have seasonal hair.
Granted, it's always winter because it's gray and barren
but that's a whole different issue.
Is yours the sports clips, haircuts of Garland?
Broadway.
They are one that is available to do that.
Yeah, right now they're listed as closed
but you can check in when they're open.
Okay, fair enough.
So there's at least one explanation for you.
Yes, there's also the possibility
that you just ran into a person who did want to take
no for an answer and they just said.
You somebody who knew somebody.
Yeah.
Because it wasn't like this lady got hot
which you walked into door.
That's fair.
I just, and maybe that means they need to revamp the way
they do their deal because if I check in
and I say I'm gonna be there at two o'clock,
my name should show up on that screen
saying two o'clock appointment.
Well, it may and there may just have been an issue
with somebody agreeing to or clicking something
behind the counter that says we've received this online
appointment and it appears on the board.
Yeah.
It didn't when I first looked up.
Right, but what I'm saying is
is there may be something along those lines
that they're still working out the kinks.
I just, I don't know.
I was a little annoyed.
And plus I still do my laundry.
Now once I got to the laundry match,
you better believe I have my earbuds in.
Yeah.
I podcast listened to.
Grunt, but speaking of podcasts,
and as we wrap up POI,
anything you guys want to add to this?
I will say that there is,
if I'm gonna go very general on this,
people who think their kids can do no wrong
despite them being little demons in shoes
and we need to go back to a reset button
of people slapping the kids.
And I mean, my mother would have beaten me
in front of God and everybody.
I'm not saying that you go, you get at a hand
and draw a blood.
I had the fear of God in me.
That's what you need.
The kids need to know who's in charge
with a quick backhand.
No rings, that's a push of me.
Yeah.
I was, I was raising that way that
if I see kids do what we do at a re,
I see never kids do it at a restaurant.
There's no way.
My dad would throw me through the window.
I mean, now, granted,
I didn't get my hair cut by a professional
because I was in high school.
My mom cut my hair all growing up.
Oh, my grandma did mine sometimes, so that kid.
My mom always cut my hair.
Yeah.
And I had a part on the left side, which I hated.
But there's pictures out there, trust me.
I mean, I, I, I one of those guys,
if a kid gets two in a restaurant,
I'll call out the parents.
I will look at the parents and say,
put your kids on a leash.
I'm not going to let your kids ruin mine.
That's a whole different discussion for a whole new time.
Oh, that's a, that's a, that's a battle to be had,
but, you know, people need to take accountability.
Yeah, and nothing I'll do,
and this is another discussion too,
is the way people treat people
when they're like service workers and stuff.
I've called out people in grocery,
when I'm at the checkout in a grocery store,
the people in front of me start yelling at the checker
in front of me, I'll call them out.
When I get one of those people,
it's one of the things that I talk about
with my team all the time.
And it's, guys, just know that when these callers call in,
they're not upset with you,
they're upset with the process.
And I think that helps my people kind of stay calm a little bit.
Because they understand their job is to deal
with the escalating people.
If they weren't escalated, you wouldn't be getting them.
You know, and that's the way some people treat
servers and restaurants.
I'll call them out.
I don't care where they can do,
scream at me, because I'm a customer.
Where are they going to go and complain and fire me?
You know, I just, it really hurts my soul.
And I think that's one to put a pin in.
Yeah, because there's a double-edged sword to it.
And that's a great topic.
That's a great point, Don.
Same for next week.
This time.
Yeah, that'll be next time.
Next time, it'll be next month.
Because next week, we'll see next week,
and let's go ahead and do that right now.
Next week is money in the bank.
Okay.
And so we'll be doing our pre-show on the Cheap Popcast,
but then we'll be watching the pay-per-view
so we won't be on the air.
The following week is Memorial Day.
We want you guys to enjoy the holiday weekend.
So this show won't be back on the air until June 2nd
after this episode.
So, and plus our friends at Vocal need a break here.
We want to know how.
Yeah.
So, Jay, he rocks.
We love all of our guys at Vocal.
They do such a great job.
And they write a conference this week,
and apparently did really, really well.
So we want to congratulate all those guys.
Absolutely.
The main guys at Vocal and the guys from Tech Fugitives,
all they're hanging out.
So make sure you check out their show as well.
They do a really good show.
All right.
Let's get into some baseball standings, shall we?
In the AL East, the Baltimore Orioles.
If they doubled their win total,
there'd be two games above 500.
They're 14 and 26 with their 10 and a half back.
They are two back on Toronto.
Toronto is five and a half back on Boston.
Boston is two and a half back on the Yankees,
but the Yankees now,
by the way, Boston's won five in a row.
The Yankees are still a half game back on the Tampa Bay Rays.
In the AL Central, the royals are terrible.
They're 12 games back.
They're five games back on the White Sox.
The White Sox are only a half game back on Detroit.
Detroit is two and a half back on Cleveland.
Cleveland now, four back on the Twins.
In the AL West.
Almost my things I'm doing.
The Rangers have fallen to last place.
Well, the erratic play will do that.
Yeah, they're 17 and 21 right now.
They've lost four in a row.
But they're tied with Oakland at seven and a half back.
They're both a half game back on Seattle.
Seattle is a half game back on.
readin'
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Los Angeles County, California,
North American, North America,
Earth Milkway, Universe, Multiverse.
Seattle, I'm sorry.
LA, the the angels are six and a half back on Houston, Houston, Houston,
Houston's won five in a row.
Three of those now are at the expense of the Rangers.
In the National League, in the NL West.
The San Francisco Padres.
They are 16 and 23, but they're nine back.
They've lost three in a row.
They are three and a half back on Colorado.
Colorado is two and a half back on San Diego.
San Diego is a half game back on Arizona.
Arizona three and a half back on Misty's beloved Dodgers
who opened eight, Ian.
Lately, in the NL Central,
Cincinnati Reds are still terrible.
There are only four games below 500,
but they're six and a half back.
They are three and a half back on St. Louis.
St. Louis is tied with Don Pittsburgh Pirates.
You guys are both two back on Millowacay.
Millowacay is only a game back on the Cubs right now.
Yeah, we had that eight game slump, which just...
Yeah, that did not, but you've won three in a row
at this point. Yeah, yeah.
And in the only division that matters,
the NL East, the Marlins, 19 games under 500.
So we're pacing well.
We're 13 back.
We've lost five in a row.
Only five, but we're two and eight in our last 10.
Six and a half back on the Nattinals.
The Nattinals now three and a half back
on your beloved Metz.
Your beloved Metz now only a half game back
on my beloved Braves.
The Braves are three and a half back on Philly.
So... That should be a fun race for the end.
He used to be Texas today, 15 to five, by the way.
Well, Texas only wins or loses by seven to 10 runs.
Well, it's great when you can score 12 runs,
but when you give up 15, my Braves currently up to
top of nine on Arizona.
So that's what's going on right now.
All right, now I couldn't find any music headlines
that I cared about this week.
Well, did we want to fill it with the game show
or anything?
Yeah, not yet.
So let's say a lot of time.
Well, I know you said you had a specific time
in front of your mind.
June, starting in June, we'll do a master of it.
She used to drive for Memorial Day.
Right, so we'll do it in June.
I didn't remember.
Because now we have two months of worth of data.
That's a good point.
So music, new releases in places you get music,
new releases this week.
Carly Rae Jepsen's back.
Oh, really?
With an album called Dedicated.
And she is because she's still around.
Dion Warwick.
She's back, according to this album.
But did she know what was coming?
Interpol back this week with a fine mess.
Lil Kim couldn't pick her out of the line up these days.
Neither could I.
With an album called Nine?
Don's favorite album.
And oddly enough, right after that,
Ramstein has a new album coming out this week.
I'm sorry, are you doing Ramstein?
Don's our docks favorite band and the known title yet.
Well, it might be just they didn't know how to pronounce it.
They head in the heart with a new album
called Living Mirage.
The national releases I am easy to find.
And Tyler, the creator back this week with Igor Allcaps.
So you got that going for you.
I don't know if I would buy any of those albums.
Maybe either.
Just saying.
I think I could buy one or two.
On the wrong page here.
OK, let's get into the NHL playoffs
and the insanity going on therein.
Oh, bless San Jose closes out the Colorado Avalanche.
And they are currently up 1-0 on the St. Louis Blues
who take out Dallas 4-3 and 7, if you can do math.
Boston closes out the blue jackets.
They are up to nothing on Carolina who swept the islanders.
So you're saying there's no more Ohio team?
Yeah, they're gone.
Oh, it's a win for me.
I know it is.
How much should love Ohio?
From an NBA standpoint, not calling it garbage
because the result today makes me happy.
Step forward, if you're the new coach of the Lakers,
not so fast, Tyron Liu.
Frank Vogel is your new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Not saying what broke down those talks with Tylu,
because that was supposed to be a done deal.
Supposedly.
Oh, I can do that right here.
Ha-ha-ha.
Well, remember, Tylu is also the one
that has the most infamous Lakers picture
of Alan Iverson stepping over him.
Yes.
So let's go to playoff updates there.
Portland closes out Denver 4-3.
Yes.
Golden State closes out Houston Houston 4-2.
As they do pretty much every year.
Milawake almost sweeps Boston, Kyrie Irving.
Bye-bye.
And Toronto Philly go to game seven.
Right now, Toronto was up 14-9, but it's still early.
It's very early.
Two minutes left to go in the first there.
And Milawake waits on the winner of that series.
At first time, Milawake has made a conference finals
in 19 years.
I was wondering about that.
I was like, OK, so.
At least conference semis in 19 years.
Finals may be longer.
Well, the only time they won it was with Kareem.
So that should tell you something.
That's go Portland.
Absolutely.
Done it.
Anything else you got?
No.
Before we get to movie talk.
No.
All right.
Because my pens have got spanked.
And if it counts, we're all out of that playoff.
And can I say, I am shocked that Pittsburgh doesn't
have an NBA team.
They did a long time ago.
Yeah.
In the fish that say Pittsburgh, I believe.
Yeah.
But still, I'm surprised that that town doesn't have basketball.
Yeah.
Because they can fit them in in the console energy.
Oh, there's a few different places.
I know what they call the igloo now.
Well, yeah.
Do they still call it the igloo?
No.
Because the igloo.
Yeah, I've been in there in the both.
But basically, the where console energy is,
do you see the parking lot of the igloo?
And so, but it's in the same area.
But it's like basically your triple American Airlines
center.
Do we blame John Club Van Dam for sudden death?
Yes, we do.
I just checking.
I like that film.
But I will say that even though they don't have an NBA,
going to see a game at Pitt is a lot of fun.
I'm good at it in time.
I want to go see a game anywhere.
That's fair.
I enjoy watching professional sports.
It's just fun.
See, for me, I like college sports and person pro sports on TV.
The only game I prefer on television is baseball.
Because it's so slow.
See, and for me, with baseball, it's the hot dog
and a beer, where if I do that at home, it's just weird.
I'll go down Go Store.
No, I can't get the boom stick down there
that I can get over at the ballpark.
You may want to tell what they are.
That's $27 hot dog.
That's the length of a bat.
Yeah.
But we haven't done there our weird ballpark food list
in a while.
I'll have to bring that one back up.
We might have to update it.
All right, so let's get into movie talk
and get into some box office numbers from our friends
at box office Mojo.
Dropping out of the top 10 this week, La Yerona
goes from 7 to 11 this week, 1.8 million,
four weeks, $51.5 million on a $9 million budget.
Shazam drops from 8 to 12 this week, $1.1 million,
$6 weeks, $137 million on a $100 million budget.
They're going to be OK.
Little takes five weeks to drop out of the top 10,
but it drops from 10 to 13.
$622,000, $5 weeks, $39.6 million on a $20 million budget.
Dumbo drops from 9 to 14 this week, $568,000,
$7 weeks, $110,000, $8 million.
But it's killing it for it.
Yeah.
So in 10th place, dropping from 5 to 10 is Captain Marvel,
$1.8 million, $10 weeks, $423.8 million.
They're going to be OK.
Yeah, I think so.
Dropping from a debuting in ninth place this week,
Tolkien, or as I like to call it,
home show number 457, $2.1 million this week in.
And if we wanted to read your review, where we're not that big.
That would be at www.theclubhousepodcast.com.
That's our website.
Breakthrough drops from 6 to 8 this week, $2.4 million,
$4 weeks, $37 million on a $14 million budget.
Ugly dolls drops from 4 to 7 this week, $3.9 million, $14.3 million.
This is a $45 million budget for STX.
Not good.
I enjoyed the film.
Not great, but it's good.
Debuting in sixth place this week,
palms with $5.1 million, or as I like to call it,
home show number 456.
From the bronze medal to fifth place this week,
long shot in its second week, $6.2 million, things
made almost $20 million.
I think it's going to be all right.
The intruder goes from the silver medal to fourth place this week,
$6.6 million, $21 million on an $8 million budget.
No, no, no.
The hustle debuts in the bronze medal
position making $13.5 million.
I would like to say the following.
More than that.
Home show 458.
And if you'd like to see our reviews on that one,
it's at www.theclubhousepodcast.com.
That's our website.
It deserves more sound effects than that.
It deserves more vomiting.
Kids, I mean, the whole thing.
We almost had a dethroning this weekend.
Surprisingly.
Detective Pikachu, at least this weekend,
$700 million worldwide.
Highest debut for a video game adaptation in the history
of ever.
Early reports were saying that it beat end game.
Yeah, not so fast, my friend.
The actual $58 million.
And that's a third of the budget.
But $700 worldwide, you're going to be OK.
There's $150 million budget.
You think they come even close to this without Ryan Reynolds?
Not at all.
But the winning, defending, reigning, undisputed box
office champion for the third week in a row.
And let's, one of the things I like to do
is look at the range of money.
10th place, Captain Marvel, does $1.8 million.
Avengers Endgame in its third weekend, $63.1 million.
Domestic, $724 million in three weeks.
Domestic.
Yes.
That's just Merca.
Yeah.
When you add foreign, we are $15 million shy of $2.5 billion,
which means we are $215 million away
from taking down Thunder Smurfs.
Actually, would you like the actuals that came in just
recently?
Go ahead.
It is $300 and $2.5 million short.
But you got to put it one thing, though, too,
is that, again, you could look at these movies that came out
in the 50s.
And you did this.
Well, if you do the actuals, nothing's
going to compete with God with the wind.
And exactly.
And the other thing is, is that they
didn't have, even with Thunder Smurfs, $20 tickets
for the Dolby 3D, but that's still impressive.
Don't get me wrong.
Remember, films like Gone With The Wind had a 10-year
theatrical run.
Yeah, I'm just saying.
It was over a year.
Yeah, but if Thunder Smurfs did not have $20 tickets
for the Dolby 3D, you know, so let's just be honest.
Well, they had no, this was a better move.
But it first came out.
Avatar was when 3D first started.
I am actually, it wasn't made that way.
And Dolby, yeah.
No, right.
There wasn't a Dolby cinema at that point, though.
But they had the higher tickets for that, because it was
made.
I am making a prediction on this show.
OK.
That next week, it won't be the reigning defending.
Worldwide, I agree with you.
Because it's going to need Worldwide to do that.
No, because there's a certain film that we'll talk about in a minute
that's going to be released this weekend, which I think
is going to knock it off.
Well, there's also the news about Avengers Endgame
that they're using to drive up sales.
That is not correct, by the way.
What is it?
What you're about to say?
Oh, really?
Was it proven wrong?
I have had it proven wrong.
OK.
I know they were talking about that,
but who said it wasn't happening?
I got it from a pretty good source.
OK.
That there is no answer.
I mean, I will.
I'll Google it real quick.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's it's worth a Google.
Google.
But I'm just making that prediction.
I think there's a certain film opening this weekend.
I think it's going to knock it off.
The aforementioned thing it did.
OK.
And that was two days ago.
But they're the only ones.
And we are talking about the Spider-Man after credit scene.
It's just saying that.
Oops, spoiler alert.
Avengers Endgame just added.
But that's that is what that is.
Yeah.
I'd still go see the movie again, not just because of that.
But I feel like I still need to watch it
where I'm not crying like crazy for three hours.
So what happens after endgame?
We know that far from home drops on my birthday, which
we are now 51 days away from.
What's far from home about the new Spider-Man?
Oh, Spider-Man, OK.
But after that, Disney has said they will reveal the post-end
game lineup this summer.
I'm assuming it's San Diego.
Yeah, they're saying it's San Diego
or there's another Disney con.
A Disney 24, a D23 is what that's called.
And what do you talk about the next phase, the whole layout?
Yeah, what they're going to do.
Your next Star Wars trilogy is now set.
December 16th, 2022, December 20th, 2024,
and December 18th, 2026.
And that's all we got.
That's all they know.
Rumor is, it's going to be done by the guys
who did Game of Thrones.
Yes.
And the rumor, the strong rumors will
be nights of the over-public.
And kind of give us a nutshell on that.
That's the early days of the Jedi.
OK.
So like pre-Yoda or Yoda's younger Yoda?
Yes.
Yeah.
Way before Obi-Wan and all that.
Way before.
This is literally the formation of the universe, essentially,
where everything can happen.
It's a prequel to the prequel.
Yeah.
OK.
But I believe they confirmed that there
is a night to the over-public,
but they haven't confirmed if it's the trilogy
that they're talking about.
If they bring the Jar Jar Banks's relatives in the world,
the new mutants has been pushed back again April 3, 2020 now.
And are they just making a different movie now?
I don't know.
But Disney Fox now has canceled a gambit film
that Channing Tatum was doing as well.
I'm kind of OK with that.
Your Thunder Smurf sequels have also been pushed back.
I saw that again.
I saw that again.
The second one now set for December 17, 2021.
The third one, December 22, 2023.
Four now set for December 9, 2025.
Five now set for December 17, 20, 20, 27.
And they're doing the opposite of the Star Wars, basically,
is what they're doing.
Yep.
And here's the thing.
I think the, how do you think that?
Let's talk about Cerasex, the Academy.
Do you think these Oscar push movies, these Oscar bait movies,
and all that are getting ticked off
that they're releasing Star Wars in Thunder Smurfs
right in December during the prime time
when they usually did the Oscar push movies and stuff
like that?
You know what I'm talking about?
I think it's apples and oranges.
Because usually the movie of Moonlight's not
worried about Star Wars competing with them for best picture.
Yeah, they're also not expected to make a ton of money,
but they're artistic.
Yeah, but they're scared against opening
against Star Wars because they know what everybody's going to go
see.
And so that gives that a week out.
It takes away a full week during the haul.
They season.
And I think there's, you know, it's, it's,
or you, but you can also, but you can counter program the week
before, get word of mouth to see your film too.
Yeah, I think you had a point up until the, what happened
with the Hurt Locker.
I think at that point they started to realize,
OK, well, just because you make more money doesn't mean you win.
So, uh, Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield
will be starting in a new film called The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
It will be playing the bakers.
I started an interesting thing on 2020.
They did that to our special on them.
That was very, in a way, Tammy Faye looked when she passed,
right before she passed away, she was not to Tammy Faye.
Everybody thought she looked like it's like, oh, my Lord,
she, that illness hit her bad.
Mm-hmm.
And we have the Suicide Squad news.
Oh, it's what we're calling it now.
That's what's called, OK.
Michael Rooker in Tarks to play King Shark.
I will take Michael Rooker in any role, or any role.
Him and Idris Elba on screen together.
I just, I just imagine Idris Elba is staring blankly at him.
So what's King Shark?
He's literally just an oversized shark.
Person.
He's a villain in the, he's, they've used him in the Flash Universe.
OK.
Yeah.
Also known as Great White at times, I believe.
Some cases, but it's King Shark, for the most part.
Right.
Moving new releases in places you see moving new releases
this week.
We're burning through the show this week.
I'm just coming.
It's coming, it's coming.
Two episodes left.
John Witt, chapter three, Parabellum.
That is not two Bellums.
We're seeing Tuesday nights.
Our reviews will be up Thursday night.
If you are in an area that has an Alamo Draft House,
they will be doing the triple feature on Thursday.
Should you choose to partake?
Well, that's cool.
Yeah, if you can do that.
A dogs journey this week, which is
the second book after the movie we saw last year with Dennis Quaid.
This is where Peggy Lichten, who we mentioned earlier,
was in the first one.
And she passed away five, five days before this version.
And she's not in this one, but she's related to it.
The souvenir, this, this is actually one
of those early morning screenings.
And I was really bummed I didn't get to see it,
because I'm very interested in this film.
Fine, too.
I'm going to try to try to get it up here.
A young film student in the early 80s
becomes romantically involved with a complicated and untrustworthy man,
till the Swintons in this.
And I haven't really seen anything on it,
but it was a screen of it, it was during the day,
so I couldn't get to it.
A new movie for Sean the Sheep, called Farm Again.
Really?
Yep.
It's Sean the Sheep.
Also, the sun is also a star.
A teenager finds love at a difficult time in her family's life.
This is a foreign film.
Also something called the Professor.
Have you seen anything on this?
Johnny Depp, Zoe Deutsch in this.
College Professor lives his life
of the reckless abandoned after being diagnosed
with a terminal illness.
Rosemary DeWitt also in this Ron Livingston is in this.
Danny Houston is also in this.
Saban Fallon, who's now Saban Fallon Hogan,
is in this as well.
Just with the basic read up,
it almost feels like it's a much more mild version
of falling down.
I can see that.
Yeah.
Another foreign film called Photograph this week,
which is another one of these.
That was a daytime screening and I missed it.
A struggling street photographer in Mumbai,
pressured to marry by his grandmother,
convinces a shy stranger to pose as his fiance.
The pair develop a connection that transforms them
in ways they could not expect.
And then Laura Derns in a new film
called Trial by Fire this week.
Oh, this is disturbing.
This the tragic and controversial story
of Cameron Todd Willingham,
who was executed in Texas for killing his three children
after scientific evidence and expert testimony
that bolstered his claims of innocence were suppressed.
Just called Trial by Fire.
Yes, sir.
It opens this weekend.
Yes, sir.
Let's see, DVD and Blue Right New releases
and places you get DVD and Blue Right New releases
this week, Cold Pursuit.
I have a very particular set of skills
and I will be on a snowmobile.
The Apollo 11 documentary,
Deck out the IMAX release that I missed.
I wanna see that.
Yeah.
That's really good.
A movie that Don has seen.
Happy Death Day to you.
Oh, boy.
Fighting with my family this week.
Gotta see that.
I do wanna see that as well.
Backdraft 2.
I'm sorry, what?
Because there were so many unanswered questions
from Backdraft in 1991.
Father Backdraft.
This follows an investigator
with a Chicago Fire Department
who has to track down an arms dealer
who uses deadly fires as a distraction.
Wait, an arms dealer?
Not to its end.
I just wanna confirm I heard that correctly.
Donald Sutherland, William Baldwin.
Wait, so they got them back?
Yeah, apparently.
Emily Barber.
I just like to name Ross O'Hennessey.
You done messed up like a brother.
You need to go see O'Shaugh Hennessey's on this right now.
Also this week,
the Collector's Edition of Princess Mononoki.
If you are a fan.
The 30th anniversary edition of Field of Dreams.
This week and two very dark films
from the Criterion Collection this week,
Funny Games and House of Games.
The Funny Games cover is very disturbing.
The whole movie's disturbing.
I know you're not in your wheelhouse,
but I distinctly remember being in your house.
No, no, no.
Couple of tech corner items this week.
Pax West will be in Seattle,
August 30th through September 2nd,
and Pax Unplugged will be in Philly, December 6th through the 8th.
So if you are a gamer, what's a big thing?
Anything else for you to move on to the list, gentlemen?
Man, we're cooking with gas.
Oh, I'm just, as far as Pax West goes,
I seriously wait for E3.
Pax West is usually next month, isn't it?
It's in June, yeah.
But that's usually the big reveal
that I get excited for.
Pax West is usually more of a teaser
unless they have something from like Bungie or Microsoft.
So let's go on the list.
We end every show with a list this week is no exception.
As you know, I spend a lot of time on social media.
And I was thinking this week,
what are the 10 things that people do on social media
that I don't understand?
And this is not,
are you sure we are able to narrow it to 10 things?
I tried, I really did.
And so I made this list.
These are the top 10 things that people do
on social media that I don't understand.
All right, everybody with me.
Yep.
Number 10, negative commenting.
You don't agree with someone, just move on.
Unless you're being constructive.
Like I can see a scenario where it's more
along the lines of constructive criticism.
However, social media is not the forum for that.
Well, there's also a difference between healthy discussion
and control.
Correct, that we're gonna get to that in a minute.
Number nine, grammar and syntax errors.
Get used to it.
Run on sentences.
I do a lot of, I do not think that word means
what you think it means on social media.
Like I pride myself on,
if you read one of my posts,
you can hear me in your head saying that.
I like to think I write the same way that I speak.
Yeah, but there's certain people that the way,
and this could be like a side version of this.
I know at least a handful of people
who's online persona is different
from their real life persona,
and that's weird to me too.
And part of that comes from this.
They don't line up.
Yeah, it's like, I know you, this isn't what you're like.
You know, and that's kind of thing with,
you know, we joke about my writing abilities and stuff,
but you know, for me too, it's a different realm,
but especially with my job.
Because you're not, you're not social media active
because of that.
Well, yeah, but another thing is,
when I, are my job, when I submit cases,
I have to do a whole, like one prosecution,
I have about 10 pages of legal writing,
where I have to put the evidence,
all this other stuff,
and I have to put that in legal wording,
which I, you know, I have a lot of, you know,
templates and stuff that I use, but still, you know,
so I have to go to that world,
and sometimes that may come over into this world
when I write certain stuff too,
which you probably notice when you think about it.
In certain cases, yes, in certain cases.
Number eight, reposting without commentary.
I don't understand it.
If I repost something, I'm gonna put something
with that post of why I'm reposting it.
Like, hey, I thought that was kind of funny,
or totally see where this is going,
or sometimes you just need this in your life.
Mr. Irvin, if I may rebut.
Please do.
I will do this sometimes.
However, I don't feel like there's anything
I can really contribute that isn't already obvious,
and I don't feel like tagging my own stuff on top of it
to make it look like it was my post.
I get a little bit of that.
So if it's one of those where a funny video
or something comes along, there's nothing I can put on it.
But if there's a certain person
or something I'm meaning to see it, I'll tag them on it,
but I won't necessarily write something there.
But that's still putting something there.
Right, but what I'm saying is if there's nothing
I can really add to it other than,
hey, I think other people should see this,
I'm good with the repost blank.
If you do nothing but repost blankly,
you need to think something through.
Number seven, vague booking.
Oh, God.
It just wears me out.
Vague booking.
Vague booking.
Where people just say things and you don't know what it means.
And so it causes other people like,
oh, what's the matter?
Or, I'm like, look, if I'm going to put some other
I'm going to put some out there.
Yeah, let me put it this way.
No, no, no, the vague booking.
No, don't write it to me.
Oh no, but what I'm going to say,
the one that gets to me on that one,
and I do apologize on, I may have stepped over,
but it's more along the lines of like,
well, you know who your real friends are.
And it's like, yeah, that wears me out.
What?
Or, if it's not meant for everybody to see,
don't post it.
I agree.
That's what the messengers were,
or you can post just on somebody's specific page
that the only they could see.
Or if you're not willing to say something,
keep it to yourself.
Yeah.
Number six, not double checking your sources.
If you're going to post a story,
vet your sources.
Make sure it's not clickbait.
Yeah.
Just vet your sources.
Is this, you know,
if it's from the onion, don't take it for fact.
Or if you do, please let us know
so that we can point and laugh.
Yes.
Well, I read it on the internet,
so I have to be true.
I'm wondering if something that just popped into my head
is later in your list right now.
Number five, these posts with the backgrounds on them.
Especially on Facebook,
where you can put backgrounds on your posts now.
You like to pink backdrop or the pink,
but now there's like patterns and stuff.
I just want to make it look pretty.
I do that when I'm like messaging Nana
or something.
That's a different.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
That one doesn't bug me.
Or someone wants to make their posts pretty, I don't care.
It's sometimes that makes it hard to read.
That's true.
Make sure the colors are right.
How about that?
Number four, what I call the every breath thing.
Oh God.
Hey, just take a breath.
Hold on.
Like if you're posting more than five times an hour
consistently, let's tap the break a little bit.
Yeah, and then your posts are just like,
oh, there's another one who cares.
Versus if somebody like, let's say me
who's not too active, post something,
people are gonna, hey, there's a post from Don.
He doesn't post it 10 times a day.
Would it be fair to call that the social media cry wolf?
No, because they're not always doing,
sometimes it's just like, hey, I walked down the hall.
Well, but what I'm saying is is there's,
they post so much that you tune them out
or in my case, mute.
Fair enough.
That's fair.
Number three, the fact that we've created people
called influencers.
Oh God.
I don't understand that.
What happened to not stop making stupid people famous?
Oh, that'll never not happen.
Yeah.
That will always be a thing.
Although I will say there are some people
that put out some good content.
There's just way fewer than people assume.
Yeah.
Who's that one girl that just got
the college admission thing?
Oh, Lori Loughlin's daughter.
Yeah.
Who literally said, I'm just here to party.
I'm like, you just, oh, I know you took up a seat
that somebody else could have had.
So just live near the campus and party.
Yeah.
Number two, trolling for the sake of trolling.
Simple.
I know people that have literally told me,
oh, I did that because I like to be that guy.
Really?
That's your bit.
Like, people that have put out spoilers.
Just because they could.
I hate you.
If you're that person in any format, I hate you.
I like, I want to send you a virus for your computer.
I don't want to send you a virus for your computer.
I want to send you a virus for you.
That's just respect.
Yeah.
Adventures endgame for the most part.
Surprisingly good.
People were respectful, unless you're running back
for the bills.
Shady, I know you were better than that.
No, he's not.
He was when we were when we were in high school together,
he was.
I just, I don't get, I mean, not everybody
was going to get to see something.
This is why I have to watch Game of Thrones when it happens.
Because everybody ruins, like, I don't know
that there's anything worse, although walking dead
is close.
Yeah.
I don't know that there's anything worse
if people talking about online than Game of Thrones.
And it wears me out.
Because it causes me to be a, and I'm
going to be a real late next Sunday.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, we've got money in the bank.
No, I do have to work Monday.
You do?
Memorial Day isn't two weeks, sir.
Next week is money in the bank.
And the Game of Thrones finale.
Sorry, I'm mixing up weekends.
So what's going to be a long day?
Yeah.
And number one, and I don't know if people do this on purpose
or if it's out of habit, but it still confuses me.
People that like their own posts.
I do not understand this.
Like, I know I like it because I posted it.
I don't need to, you to know that I like it.
Because I'm a word.
There's a word that I am avoiding using
because this is a family friendly show.
I don't understand it.
And I'm seeing it more and more.
Like, do you not think I like what I post?
No.
Why do I have to like it?
Because I already do because I posted it.
It's like, if it really matters to you
whether or not you start with a like or get a like,
you probably should just give up.
I mean, I can understand somebody who puts a great comment
or something and you like that.
Oh, no, that's definitely the difference.
Those aren't your words.
Yeah, yeah.
No, I'm talking about what he's referring to
is somebody who will post a picture.
And then like, they're out.
Yeah.
And you're the only one.
I just, I don't understand it.
That's why this list isn't like things I think are wrong
on social media.
And there's some people and there's some people
that's like, how can you do it like my post?
Oh, I don't care.
Those people immediately get my mute button.
I still like, I just don't care.
Like, my social media is for me to have some fun,
be positive, be uplifting.
That's it.
You know, sometimes I'll say to somebody,
hey, did you read this?
Yes.
A lot of times, like, something I'll post that I know
you'll like and you'll think it's funny.
You don't have to like it.
But I'm saying, hey, check out what I posted earlier.
It's pretty funny.
But the other aspect with that is because we do follow
so many things and we have different avenues
that there may need to be that real world reiteration.
I don't know.
Oh, I have a big one for this list.
Please, we got time.
Those people that do the quizzes and share like,
which golden girl are you?
You're a moron.
And you know what?
You deserve exactly what you're getting because this is,
this is how people are getting your information
because you're allowing them access.
This, every one of those quizzes you get
is a potential breach.
And if you do all of these and I have many members
of my family and I love you as a person,
social media, you're a moron.
Don?
I got a couple.
Good.
Number one, going out there in, well,
at least the Farmville things have stopped
in the Mafia Wars.
Remember the end of the base base?
I wasn't able to do that.
I remember those started on my space.
But I remember how they came out of you.
Mafia Wars are on my side.
I was, yeah, those were kind of gone.
Thank God.
But number one, I got two.
The first one is, okay, if I, there's going to be,
I'm going to go in Nigeria.
Okay.
I'm going to put some posts up there showing,
I think that's going to be cool.
Yeah.
But it's coming up in this end of the year.
It may be because of the other.
The other, that's totally, totally, totally.
But my big thing is, people who want stuff
to say, hey, I'm rich.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, that's number one.
And this is going to, this is going to be kind of,
kind of a warning to everybody out there who listens.
Don't let your Facebook post be used as evidence against you.
Yeah.
It's certain matter.
Preach brother.
Oh, God yeah.
I, that applies for my job too, because I'll go out there
and look, my wife told me early on in social media
this was my wife worked in the staffing industry.
I don't care if it's private.
HR will find a way to find your page.
And another thing is like, if you say you're sick
and then you're out on vacation on the day you're sick,
yeah, that's, that's not smart.
And number two is, if you are committing
some kind of illegal activity, don't let that be used
as evidence against you.
Or, larval.
Larval.
Trust me.
Me as an investigator.
I love Facebook.
I love Facebook, yes.
It's so disturbing to hear you say that,
because I just picture you just like tapping your fingertips
together going, good.
You know, I'm just like, I'll just look at it and go.
It's like, thank you.
You made my job a lot easier.
I hate to say.
Yeah, you're right.
I don't say, but I mean, yeah, when actually,
I have submitted postings from Facebook
as evidence in a criminal prosecution.
That is a true fact.
And since it was a public post that they don't have private,
you know, I didn't, when I was a lot of a friend,
well, there wasn't there a guy in, was it maybe Chicago
that actually put out on Facebook, like, he was on the run.
He's like, come find me cops.
I'm here.
There's been a couple of those.
Yeah, sure.
One of them with him.
Saying, hey, this is how you sell your food stamp cards.
Oh, yeah, that's not smart to do.
No, it's like, what?
It was my private page.
You put it out there on the internet.
There was one case where lady was posting
how she committed tax fraud and all that stuff.
And yeah, do you still have the same reaction
whenever one of those stories comes out as I do?
You hear the story start and you're like, come on.
Not Florida.
Not Florida, not Florida.
It's like it reminds me of it.
And this Tampa Bay resident cannot.
You're like, please be Ohio.
Please be Ohio.
That's me.
I never want to hear about Ohio existing.
It reminds me of the old Simpson's episode
where Bart goes to summer camp.
And while he's gone, Homer starts like workout.
And you start growing his hair back.
And Barton, Bart causes a rebellion at the camp
and it's on the news.
And Homer's going, not the boy.
Not the boy.
Not the boy.
And then they show him on the screen and Homer loses all his hair
and his cut falls back out.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right, good job, gentlemen.
All right, let's get out of here.
Good luck.
