It is seven of one of the east coasts, is four of one of the west coasts.
You think we've done this before, right?
It is the 7th of May in the year of our Lord, 2017.
It is season seven, episode 43, 393 times.
This voice has welcomed you to the Clubhouse Podcast Live.
Every Sunday on you stream, whether you're listening live, whether you're on our archive,
subscribe on your favorite podcasting app.
We're just glad that you're here.
My name is Rob.
I'm the executive producer of the Clubhouse Podcast, and probably sounds a little quieter than
it has, and as we started normal show here for the last six weeks.
Because for the first time since two weeks before WrestleMania, we are in the studio.
We're back home, at least for a couple of weeks.
So we're going to take advantage of that time.
Joining me across the desk is he tends to do from time to time.
He's the official fact checker of this show.
And a man that's got a little something up.
He's sleeve tonight, kids.
He is done.
You may know his fondango, but his mom and even don't afford.
I'm going to calm down for where else are surprise.
That's right.
The streak is alive.
Don't give away too much.
He's the only other person in this studio.
Doesn't know what's going on.
Yes.
Because ladies and gentlemen.
For the first time since the Royal Rumble.
And I'm not exaggerating.
He is back in the studio in his normal chair.
He is my co-host for this show.
And he is a man who already needs a haircut.
He is Chad.
Welcome sir.
Nice to be back.
Good to have you back sir.
Do I really see you?
It's getting a little moppy.
I'm not going to lie to you.
It's getting a little moppy.
I didn't do nothing with it when I left the house.
That was a little unruly.
I want to thank everybody that has come out and supported the show over the last six weeks.
I want to thank everybody that did that.
Thanks a lot guys.
Whether you guys came out for the Texas Spinball Festival,
or the Dallas International Film Festival,
the USA Film Festival, or the Earth X Film Festival.
And there's a lot more coming up that we've booked this week
that we haven't had a chance to talk about.
Yeah.
I don't know the next week.
Next week.
We got two next week.
Yeah.
Okay.
We have two huge events.
Next week.
April and May have turned out to be very, very busy months for this show.
You know, I listened through the last couple of shows.
No corrections or updates.
We'll give.
I decided we're going to hold off on our.
Paper view update scoring updates until the following paper view.
Just kind of make it more sense.
Yeah.
synergy.
That's called synergy.
That's called me actually thinking.
Yeah.
All right.
So let's get into this thing because it is time for us to do the way we normally do this show.
We got to start with some NASCAR.
A lot going on in the NASCAR is they are at Talladega today.
This Ricky Bobby can be there.
He might could be.
You never know.
This is the Talladega super speedway from the race center presented by Coca-Cola from the NASCAR website.
You're top 10 runners right now actually.
I'm going to refresh this real quick so we can see if there's any.
And he results if it's not final yet because it doesn't tell me.
Where they are in the race.
I don't know if it's completed or not.
So we'll go to your top 10 people on the board right now.
David Reagan.
Not that Reagan.
And the number 38 Ford is in 10th.
Paul Menard.
Yes, his family does own those those stores that you know of in the 27.
She have really.
He started in 19th.
He's currently in 9th.
By the way, David Reagan started in 29th.
He's in 10th right now.
Starting in 30th right now in 8th place.
In the 48.
She have bro lay.
6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times 6 times.
Whatever you're calling your cup this week.
Champion Jimmy Johnson.
Brad Casalowski in the number two Ford started in the bronze medal position right now in 7th.
Kurt Bush starts in 15th and the number 41 Ford.
He's in 6th.
Casey Kane starts in 19th.
He's currently in 5th and the number 5 Chevrolet.
Starting in 22nd currently in 4th.
Number 43 Ford Eric Almeroa.
In the number 18 Toyota, the only Toyota in the top 10.
Starting in 10th.
Currently at the bronze medal.
Kyle Bush.
In the silver medal.
So I can 23rd.
The number 1 Chevrolet.
Jamie McMarie.
I feel like his family should own a deli.
Welcome to McMarie.
Or he's the heir to the silver fortune.
Could be.
And leading.
He's actually led a hundred and ninety one now.
There's a hundred and ninety one laps.
He led forty fourteen of them.
I hate the way they got to work.
But sight laid out now.
Freaks me out.
17 Ford.
Ricky.
Stenhouse.
Junior.
I think there should always be at one.
At least one junior in NASCAR.
I feel like there's probably will be.
You know, because you know, they're not juniors.
We're telling you three days season.
So Ricky Stenhouse is going to have to carry that for a while.
It's like it should be like, I don't know if it's a quota or a minimum.
It should be at least one junior in NASCAR.
At all times.
A couple of bubble rays here and there.
Rust is in the chat room.
Good to see you.
So he says, how to take a seaway is an awesome facility.
I got to go to church with us actually there this weekend.
What's up, Russ?
So.
Let's take a look and see where we're going next.
Cause I don't even know how to point to work.
I'm going to talk to.
To.
To bar buyer and try to get how we're actually going to update.
The points because the website's very confusing.
I don't know what's going on.
Please don't try to repeat that one time when you tried to explain the new point system.
I thought I did a very good job explaining it.
You know, you did it.
But then by the way, today is the Geico 500.
Uh, I thought they weren't racing.
Although they're racing Saturday because they're not racing on mother's day.
Another.
That's the thing now.
So Saturday, there'll be a night race at the Kansas Speedway for the go bowling.
400 for a mass car race.
Can I just say I was having lunch with Dave Scott today.
And ESPN was showing their their pro bowling coverage.
Apparently there's now bowling teams.
Professional teams in bowling.
Why not?
You want to talk about wheels.
One of the teams.
I think was like the lumberjacks and they had people like in costumes with axe.
Like fake.
It was so wheels off.
We have costume like wearing bowling.
As they were as they were being introduced, like the last two guys that were being introduced on the team.
Like they go to introduce the second to last guy.
He gives like the man hug to the other guy.
And it looked so forced and so just.
Hey dude, I'm going to hug you, but I'm not going to like it.
It was so strange.
It was so strange.
His idea was this.
I don't know.
But it was definitely awkward.
All right, so we'll have that.
And see if you're the if you're the sponsor of the cup.
Should you really have a race that you sponsor too?
Because on the 20th, which is another Saturday.
All Saturday races for the rest of the month except for Memorial Day weekend.
Because May 20th will be the monster energy open.
They already sponsored the cup.
And then the all star races on the 20th and then the Coca-Cola 600 on the 28th.
Both of those all three of those races will be at Charlotte.
Because remember that NASCAR does their race the same day as the ND500,
which is always Memorial Day weekend.
Because it is what they call Indian the month of May,
which is a big deal out there.
So you got that going for you, which is nice.
All right, let's get into some television headlines.
Not a lot going on in the entertainment world this week so much.
But we do have some stuff we want to talk about in TV talk.
Fox has canceled pitch.
Wow.
Like what?
What episode?
I want to say it had a handful.
Oh, okay.
Well, they're known for doing that.
I think I got through the majority of their season.
Never watched the episode.
I mean, they already can't.
And you know what?
Got them had me for a week and now I'm off.
I stopped at this last season.
Stop two seasons ago.
NBC has canceled Emerald City.
That's a show that I was going to tell you.
You were going to get on board with that.
Never did it.
Don't need to now.
I tried.
You know how I feel about anything Wizard of Oz related.
So to me, it feels like they've already done that on once upon a time.
And didn't they call it Oz when they did it on sci-fi?
It was like a steam punk thing.
Yeah, I can't remember exactly what it was called.
And is this week the once upon a time musical wedding episode?
Couldn't tell you.
I know they got that coming up.
The girls have been watching it.
I saw Captain Hooks, you know, with the ring on it.
Reveal and everything.
And I was like, oh, okay.
So yeah.
The image that anything does really seem out of place.
Next week will be the season finale of Agents of Shield.
And they have revealed this week that.
What infinite Oz?
Okay.
What it was on sci-fi?
Yeah.
But they revealed the season family of Agents of Shield Ghost Rider is returning.
Well, they did have one called Tin Man to it.
That was on sci-fi.
That's what it was on sci-fi.
That's what it was on sci-fi.
I'm hearing rumors of only one more season.
Of Shield?
Hmm?
Are they going to do the spin-off?
Or are they just going to...
There's been talk about that for a while.
I'm not sure I care.
I mean, I call...
I'm going to fight through this to the bitter end.
Don't get me wrong.
But to me, that show went to a route of heroes.
But I thought the Ghost Rider storyline was really good.
But these last two have been terrible.
Talked out way before the Ghost Rider storyline even kicked off.
A Paramount TV has optioned the entire series of Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles.
Wow.
The entire...
And it's Paramount TV.
Not UPN.
Not the CW.
Paramount TV.
So I've heard rumors that they're kind of firing up the on-demand online thing.
Well, or does that mean they're just going to shop it around to different television networks?
They haven't said for sure, but I'm hearing very, very strong rumors.
And American Idol is dead.
Long live American Idol.
It's coming back.
Yep.
Yeah, that's...
To the one network that doesn't really do singing competition shows.
No.
ABC.
Will revive it in March of 2018?
No secret.
Yeah.
Even though he now works for that network, no secret.
Because he now the he lives in New York because he's now the Kelly Rippocolo's because God knows
are in a long national nightmare of Ryan's sequence not having 19 jobs as over.
But since he's living in New York, the producers want to keep the show in Hollywood.
He says if you move it here, I'll do it and they said we're not moving it.
Then I'm not doing it.
Okay.
Because now don't come and get another shot.
You know, that dude still go in strong though.
He's got a really good stand-up career.
But wouldn't it be amazing though?
He's not afraid of it.
He'll talk about it.
I think that'd be great if they gave him the gig.
And it winds up launching his multimedia mogul career.
But he just wasn't like he's not a TV host.
He really wasn't.
But I just think he would be kind of fitting.
Who's going to be the judges?
I mean Simon's kind of doing something.
Simon's usually doing about it doesn't.
I believe your judges are...
I don't care.
Because I'm not going to watch it anyway.
I'm not going to watch it.
Now you get Jimmy Pardo as the host.
You might have me.
Jimmy Buffett as a judge.
Jimmy Buffett's like, I don't need that.
I don't care.
Great.
I got it.
Great on hosting it.
I'm right.
Here we go.
We're going to be...
We're going to be doing some singing here.
Some singing and singing.
All right.
That is must-see TV.
We're going to...
Hey, I know more or no.
Welcome to American Idol.
There will be more singers on this stage
than USA for Africa.
And yes, it's a 35-year-old reference.
But everyone will get it.
Because I said it.
Of course.
Well, you just cracked yourself up over there.
Yeah, yeah.
I had to.
It's been a long day.
You know what?
That's we're going to high note right now.
We want to send our best to Shannon Dordy.
I don't know if you saw this story this week.
She is saying that her cancer is in remission.
Yeah, I saw her.
Cool deal.
Her social media post.
So yeah, she had said the neck now.
Now we're into that next five years.
It's the big thing.
Let's get through the five years.
So congratulations, Shannon.
We want to send our best to you.
Amen to that.
I mean, that's just she's really been fighting through this.
And all of her friends have rallied around her.
Holly wouldn't otherwise.
It's been really good to see.
So TV.
That would be available on DVD and Blue Ray this week.
Season one of the HBO series divorce with the Sarah Jessica Parker.
Moving on.
Season four of inside Amy Schumer.
Also season four of Orange is the new black.
I like that.
You've actually got at least one of their cast members will be on lip sync battle this week.
Okay.
This past week was the guy that plays the male announcer in the pitch perfect movies.
All right.
Oh yeah, yeah.
Him against Nicole Richie.
She's strolled out.
Oh my god.
Like, she's rail thin.
Oh, you know.
It was a little, it was a little uncomfortable for me.
Like it caused my wife to come out of the bedroom.
Okay.
Like just kind of freaked me out.
I'm okay now.
Let's see.
The complete series of elf.
Oh, what kept?
That's the best I got.
And the complete series of manics.
The complete series of the streets of San Francisco.
The show that taught me the word epilogue for the first time.
I remember that.
I don't remember watching.
Carl Maldon and Michael Douglas.
And WrestleMania 33.
Available this week.
Well, no, it's just vessel.
I'm Connor.
I'm 33.
Which we're going to talk about in wrestling talk,
because for America,
it's going to be missing something.
Talk about that one, right?
Hey.
TV talk real fast.
Yes, sir.
The season finale of Billions is tonight.
I've been watching it.
Oh, it looks good.
I thought that was on Saturday nights.
No, it's on Sundays.
Was it on Wednesday?
Yeah, it's on Monday on that.
Yeah.
Season one in season one.
I did watch the first episode of American Gods.
But it's not Legion trippy.
And people who have read the book are saying.
It's a very, very close.
And what do episodes that on?
I mean, that's on stars.
Stars.
Yeah.
Episode two will be tonight.
It's only a six episode series.
What's it called again?
American God.
Okay.
I should get that on.
Based on a Neil Gaiman book.
I will say this on NBC and already in this.
Lebanon episodes for the first season trial.
There were John Lethal.
That was.
I've heard a lot of people that enjoyed it.
Because well, something's got to cover for powerless.
And then also they have trial there.
That's pretty good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I can't see that moving forward.
So real wacky.
The shmack.
It was rough.
I got through two episodes.
I'm like, I can't.
I can't do this.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast.
We are finally back in studio after six weeks.
Not that we're complaining because we love doing road shows.
And we've gotten to see a lot of the empire come out.
And we've got to see a lot of the empire come out.
And we've got to see a lot of the empire come out.
And we've got to see a lot of the empire come out.
And we've got to see a lot of the empire come out.
And hang out with us at these road shows.
Got another one coming up.
Got two more coming up next week.
Two more that we're going to be more than podcasters for.
Yeah.
So next Thursday we've talked about this.
May the 18th.
We will be live at.
Music Hall at Fair Park.
Where we will do our normal pre show for the Texas High School Musical Awards.
Our second year covering that event for our friends at Dallas Summer Musicals.
Then we're going to take all the equipment backstage when the show's getting ready to start.
So we'll interview all the winners in the green room.
And one of those winners is going to feel really awkward because they're going to have to see his twice.
Because there's a brand new award being offered this year is for social media.
And your boys have been asked to present it.
We're the new day of podcast.
Just to see over this.
Yeah.
I'm still trying to find an orange and paint.
Uh, orange and blue tucks for us.
I think we're going to kind of put the guy by shot now.
I'm still trying.
I'm still trying.
Costume shop.
So I'm trying.
All right.
And I got to find one from myself.
And then two days later.
We're going to be at a local high school.
Garland high school.
We're going to be there.
For the 12 annual real R.E.L. owl cinema film festival.
Cinema film festival.
Okay.
Yeah.
The owl is their mascot.
That's why it's called that a bunch of students have gotten together and made films are going to be showcased a week from Saturday.
May the 20th.
The red carpet would be from 530 to 6.
Let me show one of the films from 6 to 8.
We'll be on the air from 8 to 9.
Yep.
Interviewing some of the filmmakers.
The award ceremony would be from 9 to 9.45.
And your boys are going to be judges.
We will be evaluating and naming some.
Some winners and not only will be naming them.
I don't know if we were had chat on the phone for this or not.
No.
We're going to be presenters there too.
Oh really?
For the final four judges.
Four times.
Four times.
Four times.
We're presenting four awards.
These are the big ones.
These are the final four.
Yeah.
We get to present a big award.
But wait.
Last year do you know who presented the final four?
No.
Jorge Gutierrez.
We are in good company.
I will pay for all day.
We missed it both the diff and the USA film.
I'm hoping he'll be there because I would really miss it.
I don't think it's going to be there.
We missed him this year.
I'm very bummed that we didn't have him.
I know that he's busy because he's working on another film.
That he was hoping.
I know he's hoping to get Jorge for.
You mean Diego?
Diego.
Yes.
Jorge was hoping to get Diego.
But we'll see.
So yeah.
A lot going on.
Big things popping little things dropping.
That's all I'm saying.
And we're going to keep.
We're going to keep it moving.
Because it is time for P.O.I.
You all see what you all understand is.
And P.O.I. still isn't going to really give it away.
But coming up later in the show,
we have a big thing to do.
Huge.
Uh-huh.
It's huge.
It's huge.
It's huge.
I really don't.
That's no clue.
Well, it kind of could be, I guess.
P.O.I. stands for a person of interest.
It is a segment on this show where we take a person or an entity.
And we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
Don was doing some work this weekend.
Uh, we got asked to help out.
I had some things going on.
I had to take care of because for those of you that are keeping track.
When we go on the show.
Next Sunday.
Friend of the show.
Barbar will be a married man.
That wedding is this Saturday.
We had this.
We had the rehearsal Friday night.
Uh-huh.
We had a great time out there.
It's out there house out there in the boonies.
Watching the dogs run around.
One of them run, run, run, run up to me during the rehearsal.
And they were like, no, what that happened during the ceremony?
I'm good with it.
And I dubbed the ring bear.
Exactly.
Um, had a great time looking forward to because I'm officiating that ceremony.
So that kind of hindered us for this weekend because this weekend.
I had to do some more that stuff for that wedding on Saturday.
But Don did a little work for us.
And he was in attendance at the Dallas Guitar Festival.
That was taking place at Dallas Market Hall this weekend.
I'm a fan of that show.
Uh, we, you and I went once years and years and years ago.
This is the 40th anniversary.
The 40th anniversary.
So friend of the show Joanne said that, you know, if we wanted to come out and cover it, we could.
So I said to Don, I can't make it.
But if you can, why don't you do some Facebook live in.
So he did walk around and show some Facebook live footage out there.
I watched a little bit of it happen live.
Our boy was doing work.
So Don, tell us about some of the stuff that you saw because we have a clip we're going to play here.
Yes.
In just a moment of a guy that you got to talk to.
Yeah, well, first stuff.
We got to think Joanne, everybody.
I'm such a fan of her.
She's so good.
Her, her husband.
Yes.
Great people.
I love them.
But this was all weekend.
And this is the 40th show.
And it started 40 years ago at the Sheraton on mockingbird in 35.
That's now this week.
Just in that far away from Dallas Market Hall.
But this thing packed market.
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
They went from like 12 vendors to 600 vendors.
You could buy a guitar anywhere from $100 to God knows what.
They had a million dollar guitar there.
One that, yeah.
I got that.
They had 34.
Yeah.
They had the first double with double with double.
The double next.
Yeah.
The third double that you ever made.
They had one paid pay.
Because Rick Nelson from Cheat Trek owns the other two.
I'm sure.
So I mean, they had four stages going.
So I mean, is about the music.
It's about guitars, guitars.
There's band shows there.
There was any kind of guitar you wanted.
So I mean, this packed it out as talking to Jimmy that guy who's running a whole thing.
He's on the very end.
Clicked up that Facebook live a day.
That's about five minutes long.
But, you know, he really great guy.
Really gracious.
But he's one of, this is his baby.
And for 40 years, he's been growing this thing.
And he says, like, these vendors lay.
They book ahead of time.
He can't get anymore.
It's a big deal.
You know how big that building is.
It's he was filled.
Yeah.
That's market halls huge facility.
Field to the tea from one into the other plus four stages.
It's right outside of downtown proper.
There's a lot going on.
One of the major sponsors was Carl's Berg beer.
Yeah.
And Don actually got to spend about four minutes.
And we're going to play this for you with Justin Bennett from Carl's Berg.
So for only for the third time in the history of the show, we're going to have a pre-recorded interview.
So we're going to let this interview play.
And I'm going to mute the mic.
So you guys can hear it all in its beauty.
So here we go.
This is Don interviewing Justin Bennett.
Okay.
Empire member.
This is Don Ford from the Colby's podcast.
Fine.
Don go here at the Dallas International.
Guitar, festival down here.
Market Hall down downtown Dallas.
Here for the weekend.
Now I go into this man.
Introduce himself.
This name is Justin Bennett.
Justin.
Why are you here?
Why are you down to this festival?
Well, when you have the International Guitar Festival and it's based here in Dallas, with all of these miles and miles of guitars, we figure there would be some 30 customers here.
And so we brought the goodness of Carl's Berg.
They did mark beer.
The 5% beer.
The easy drinking beer.
The one that you're going to want to drink when you're playing your guitars.
Now, we're all about shame with some promotion.
Shame with funds.
How horrible of us.
Tell them, tell them about your beer.
Why make sure beer so special?
It's a 5% longer.
It's Britain, Denmark.
One of the special things about the beer is that the yeast that the Carl's Berg brewery came up with is the same ease that you'll find in most loggers around the world because he shared it.
He was the first person to come with the in-house yeast that wasn't a wild yeast.
It was in-house for a lot of yeast.
He shared so if you drink a millerine or a bud or anything that's a longer part of Carl's Burgers in that yeast molecule.
Tell us about where you paste out of your beer.
It's still in Denmark.
The Carl's Berg is Britain's Denmark.
It's shipped over here.
It's imported.
It's owned by Carl's Berg.
They're not owned by any other company.
So it's not a conglomerate like through Budweiser or anything like that.
They're independent of like Stein or something like that.
No.
Carl's Berg is the only beer that they own would be the Croninburg 1664 which is the beer.
That is Britain France but it is under the Carl's Berg umbrella.
Matt, tell us.
But you know it's big.
It's the guitar French and you can tell the background of the noise and everything.
Tell me what?
Are you one of the sponsors of this festival?
We are the only beer sponsor at the Dallas guitar festival.
We've been the only beer sponsor for the last two or three years.
This is the first year that you can actually purchase some of the beers here.
But we're always here sampling.
We do have crabbies ginger beer which seems to be very popular.
Very different than the lockers that we're sampling.
See a lot of people walking around with the crabbies and the crabbies hats.
I've tried that ginger beer cut it interesting.
I do like that.
So tell us where can they find a beer normal person?
Where's the best place to try to find a beer like the Carl's Berg's beer at?
The best thing about it.
If you're in Dallas for a word, go to specs.
Go to Total Wine.
Go to Goodie Goodie.
You can go to any of the pretty much any of the large liquor stores.
If you want to find crabbies, it's going to be everywhere.
It's going to be a target.
It's going to be a Tom Tham.
It's going to be a Whole Foods Central Market.
It should be able to found in most places.
Probably except for small, small, probably not the convenience stores.
But that's your largest store.
All right.
So, for all of us, I'll explain myself promotion shameless plugs.
Any websites, anything that you want to totally plug.
That would be www.saintkillion.com that we're the importer.
You can find our entire portfolio of beers that we import that are all available here in Texas and around the country.
All right.
Any Facebook page or anything like that?
There should be some Facebook pages and some Twitter accounts and some Instagrams.
Each Croniburg Carl's Berg had very good Facebook pages.
Now, why this guitar festival? Why up you guys?
What's up makes it so special?
Because it's here Dallas and we want to sponsor.
When you have something that's internationally, it's the largest thing in the world.
And it's based in Dallas.
You want to be here and that's what you're proud of.
So, you said, what's the heck?
Let's do it.
Are you going to be back next year?
We better.
Okay.
Any other promotions have come up in the FW area around the country that our Westerners could know about.
Possibly.
As far as music, if you go in the Dallas Forward area,
a lot of the musicals index festival will be there.
And we'll be there.
And we'll be pouring.
All right.
Anything else you want to promote, plug?
Cheers.
Cheers.
Well, guess what?
I need to try a little bit more of your beer.
I love that ginger beer.
So, what's up with drink?
Is that all right?
Let's do it.
All right, Tom.
Great job, sir.
That ginger beer was good.
I know you enjoyed it.
Very, very much.
But nice people.
Good time at the show.
It's wrapping up right now.
But pack, pack, pack, and eight.
They expected to have 20,000 people there over the weekend.
So, that's how big it is.
We apologize.
We couldn't do the show live there.
But we couldn't pull it all together.
Well, you need us next year.
Joanne, we're there.
We're going to be all over it, Chad.
Any thoughts?
Oh, you know me.
I'm all over guitar for late at stuff.
And beer.
And beer.
Yeah.
I've actually drank several Cronenburgs in my day.
Cronenburgs?
What he was talking about?
The director?
Yeah.
Yeah, the director.
He was talking about the beer that was bottled in France.
I'm going to judge you, Howard.
We drank that.
That was like the only beer we could get in Marseille and too long.
And Don, thank you for representing the show.
Gladly.
I liked your Facebook live.
You're out there showing us all the guitars and stuff.
And a million dollars.
A million dollars.
Remember that man and Joker guitars that we saw a couple years ago?
And it wouldn't turn around and there's Stevie Revans.
No.
No.
I'm going to cast her and I'm about cried.
Yeah.
So.
Good time.
Thank you to Joanne.
Take it to everybody there.
And more to come.
More to come.
More to come.
Stick with us.
All right.
Some NBA stuff.
You need to update it on at the half right now.
Boston leads Washington.
Actually, you know, they don't leave.
They tied it up at the half.
It's 48 a piece.
As the Celtics lead that series 2 to 1 coming up later tonight at 9 p.m.
Eastern.
San Antonio at Houston.
The spurs lead that series 2 to 1.
Also, going on.
Cavaliers sweeping Toronto with a win.
So they're just waiting on the winners of these other series before we can get into the NBA
finals.
Not us.
Really not a lot else going on in the NBA right now.
Just people whining about stuff.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's get into music talk.
Since we just got out of the Dallas guitar festival.
Loretta Lynn hospitalized over the weekend after having a stroke.
Uh-oh.
So we hope that she's doing well.
We want to send our best to her.
We're just talking about beer and Budweiser has their made in America fast coming up
right around Labor Day in Philadelphia.
Your headliners have been announced.
Jay-Z and Jay Cole.
I want to say, Jay-Z is a big investor in this festival.
The first year they did it, especially because they do a, um,
didn't they do a documentary on this?
Uh-uh.
Called Made in America?
Don't get me lying.
I'm not sure.
Also appearing in the Shane Smokers,
Migos, Solange, Run the Jewels.
Little Jewels.
21 Savage.
Sanfa.
Pusha T.
Kalila.
And Stormsy.
And a bunch of other bands over this festival.
I saw the poster.
I was like, you know, those things that bigger than the words and the words.
It was like that.
I mean, there's a Brazilian band.
It looks like a Star Wars scroll in reverse.
Yeah.
Pretty much.
Uh, where am I?
Oh, I'm, I'm in the wrong, wrong laptop here.
All right.
So let's go.
So, uh, music new releases this coming Friday.
B-O-B is back with an album called Ether.
Bob.
No.
No.
It's B-O-B because they are, it's an acronym.
Okay.
No.
It stands for.
Uh, Danzig.
Also back this week with black laden crown.
So it's a kid's a children's album.
Yes.
Uh, Harry Styles.
Fresh off his appearance on SNL a couple of weeks ago,
where he says his self titled album.
That kid's about to blow.
I, uh, I thought musically.
Great songs.
Lyrically.
Needs a little help.
Well, they kind of dovetails over in the movie talk,
but there's a lot of buzz about him in, uh, being involved in
Dunkirk and Christopher Nolan's next film done.
Oh, is he in it?
Yes.
Did not know Tom Hardy, who's also when it is said,
people are going to be blown away.
That was throwing away my, my can of soda by the way.
Uh, by Harry Styles performance.
Really?
Yeah.
He was funny on SNL.
Did you watch the family feud sketchy?
No.
They did this family feud time travel edition,
where it was stars from the 70s versus stars from today.
Or so.
And he played 1970s Mick Jagger.
And, of course, your key in Thompson playing Steve Harvey.
He says, I like you stuff, but I like a lot of your solo stuff too.
He's like, who would go solo after working with such an incredible successful
bad?
It's crazy bad.
But the best was Fallen.
Because Fallen was hosting.
And he was playing both 1970s.
John Travolta and current John Travolta.
He didn't play Barry Gidd.
He did not.
There was no, there was no Barry Gidd talk show.
There was no Timberlick wouldn't there.
There was no Timberlick wouldn't there.
There was no Timberlick.
Which is a shock.
If Fallen was involved in a maze at Timberlick.
Last night was Chris Pine, which was hilarious.
His monologue was hilarious.
Because he was talking about how he's not Chris Evans.
He's not Chris Hemsworth.
He's not Chris Pat.
Because he starts to have a new movie out called Guardians of the Galaxy.
If you have a star screen, it was like, I knew this was gonna happen.
And he pulled out a board with all five of them on.
So he does a song to the tune of Uptown Girl.
It's a really funny.
He did a lot of singing in this, which I found was strange.
And that your musical guest was Chang Smokers.
Or not Chang Smokers.
LCD sound system.
Which I'm very mad with.
It just sounds like something that you would buy.
But you know who's hosting this coming Saturday.
Oh, I know.
I know.
No idea.
The McCarthy.
Oh.
So over your last two for the season or her and Dwayne.
Okay.
Yes.
Dwayne's hosting this season finale.
You would think they would've got him to host ever.
Furious came out.
He's got they watch coming out.
True.
Good point.
That's what he.
So they kind of bridged the two of them, I think.
Also this week.
A machine gun Kelly with a brand new album called Bloom.
He's back in my, I don't care category because they cancel Brodie.
So he'll be at the Maxwellmania probably.
Paramore with a brand new album called After Laughter.
I think that she's the only one that's there.
I think it's the whole new band.
I think my daughter's wheelhouse.
That was for a while.
It was just see there with a brand new album called Poison the Parish.
Gosh.
What?
Todd rungering with a brand new album called White Knight.
What?
What decade are we in right now?
Well, we continue that.
And this is going to be weird.
So stay with me.
Warrant with a brand new album.
What?
Which is weird because Jamie Lane passed away seven years ago.
Yeah.
So I don't know how.
I haven't heard who the new lead singer is.
So what's going on there?
Another slice of cherry pie.
And it's kind of like if it's.
If it's not Jamie Lane.
Why are you doing a band?
Like he was the singer.
He was the guy.
You can say that about a lot of bands.
And Zach Brown band with a brand new album called Welcome home.
So you got that going for you.
All right.
Let's move on.
Do some NHL updates.
Oh.
After last night.
And a high.
I'm currently getting shut out.
Four nothing by Edmonton.
There's 744 left in the first period.
Good.
Nice.
Ouch.
That's something.
Nothing.
You finish today.
Nashville over St. Louis.
They beat the predator.
The predators win that series.
So the blues are out of it.
Currently the ducks are leading their series three two.
But they're losing for nothing in the first period.
As the Stanley cut playoffs rage on.
Not a lot of sports talk to be worried about this week.
There's just not a lot going on.
I don't know.
Told you.
ESPN showing pro bowling today.
That tells you what time a year it is.
I mean, and we're on ESPN news, which we always leave on for breaking headlines.
And they're playing Grootin's QB camp.
I can't get sports center.
Wait till after the NBA finals.
They'll be real fun.
Then it's all baseball for two months.
Yeah.
A lot of crickets chirp.
I like baseball, but.
But give me something else, man.
I can't rule my world.
I can't rule my sports world.
And we're about what two weeks away from our local bird.
Being taken over by the PGA.
This last weekend was LPGA.
Here's true.
And the Byron's weekend after next.
All right.
Let's get a little wrestling talk if we can.
But we're going to win.
It's good to win tonight.
So we talked about WrestleMania 33 on Blue Ray and DVD earlier.
For the US release.
For the first time since they've been doing this to my knowledge.
Our version of the Blue Ray and DVD will not have the kickoff show matches on it.
Really?
Why?
That's odd.
Haven't said why.
It's just not going to be on there.
Usually it was like an extra on the second disc.
Because you would always have the first disc is the hall of paper view.
The second disc is wouldn't fit on the first disc.
Plus the extras.
And then the third disc was the hall of fame.
Maybe the paper view was so long they couldn't get it on there.
Because remember, this was a five hour paper.
Yeah, they need to trim this thing back.
Now, did you know this WrestleMania was the first WrestleMania
where Howard Finkel was not on camera?
That's true.
What was it about?
The pink.
Yeah, you always, you know, fast couple years.
He just did the hall of fame.
He is still on camera.
He was the only person who was on camera for every WrestleMania.
One through 32.
And this was the first year he was not on camera.
Because they're streak broken.
Yeah.
Wow.
Yeah.
The women's tournament that we've been talking about for a while.
That is actually going to take place in July.
And it will be aired out over a number of weeks.
Like they did with the cruiserweight tournament.
Okay.
Looking forward to that.
Because apparently the line up that they're getting ready to unveil for
this tournament is stout.
Not yet.
I haven't heard anything.
You think what's her face from a female will be on that?
She's out with an injury right now.
Really?
Yes.
So by the way, also we're going to be doing that show May 20th.
Also May 20th is NXT take over Chicago.
So there's going to be a take over the night before backlash.
Because backlash is.
Well, it's only one of the 20 pay per views in the next six months.
They're going to hit.
Boy, don't give me started on last week.
Boy, that was a part of her.
That was a thing.
Yeah.
I've had better payback after Taco Bell.
It was a capital plan.
That was my next question.
But.
And speaking of last week's payback.
I'm going to rail a little bit.
Go for it.
The side you're going to food run.
As we do from time to time.
Went to a local establishment because they featured a sandwich.
I was very interested in.
And I don't want to mention any names.
But it runs with tomorrow's schmoonier.
Culture.
Who has supposedly a baby back rib burger.
But I figured you were talking to me though.
I'm very interested in this.
I like hamburgers.
I like onion straws.
I like pickles.
I like ribs.
I like buns.
What would you not want to not like about this?
There was one piece of rib meat.
It was about the size of a quarter.
What?
And the middle of the bar.
I showed you this last.
I was like almost asleep from that paper.
Culture.
It's getting together.
That's what I'm going to say it.
Because you go by those billboards.
And the rib is the only thing you see.
Fall.
Which is what I should have seen on the burger.
And not a rib.
Not get.
Otherwise, not a bad burger.
You're still not a fan of their burgers themselves.
It's like they're too dry.
But they're having an issue with them.
Oh, upset.
But that would be too.
And another place that's right up the street.
That rhymes with schmick Donalds.
When I say art is in bun.
Because I can't have the seeds.
And I get home.
Let's put it on an artisan bun.
I mean, I'm assuming it was on a sesame seed bun.
Yes, it was.
And not that great buddy.
Oh, this just maple bacon.
I had the barbecue burger one.
Yes.
The bang to high ratio just isn't there.
No, not that great buddy.
Not a fan.
Not a huge fan at all.
Oh, Lord.
But at least I got a decent meal.
I don't Wendy's last night.
First time in a long time.
I thought that was usually your go to.
They've dumped it down.
Burgers are very, very dry as of late.
But last night had the little bacon ate or fries enjoyed it very much.
I just enjoyed a little chilly with it.
I just tend to stick with a lot of burger.
I play it safe.
I went to Johnny Cree and this was the first time last night.
Please to have one here in our fair bird.
I know if they're there's what like her store did.
We went to look at her.
But there's only dead in Grand Prix.
But it's like, why don't one in Dallas?
All I know is a saltlet can't get here fast enough.
Oh, my God.
I'm so pumped about that.
As soon as I read that you were one of the first.
Oh, Chad.
Rusted want me to remind you.
July 28th at the wind star.
More stay in the time.
Take it to the lowest $20.
They need to come here.
I think they are coming here.
I don't know.
The Rusted mentioned that to me this past week.
I saw them.
I forgot to tell you.
All right.
The Hardy boys apparently tried to get Jeremy Borrash to jump with them.
Because apparently he was booking the whole.
Broken thing.
And apparently he's in real deep with that whole production company.
So he really could take it and go.
I don't know.
Jeremy Borrash is the difference.
Don't think so.
Ross ratings the lowest since December 26th.
Oh, man.
Think about that.
The day after Christmas was the last time the ratings were this low.
And so the lowest all year.
My interest in professional wrestling has.
And boy, if that was not a rally cry, it sure wasn't heard this week.
Because this week was a struggle.
And it started and it started with the paper view.
And this was the after a paper view.
But how was the go home show?
What do you expect?
Terrible.
If I didn't have to take notes, I wouldn't have.
I think I'd one note between both shows and it was actually Smackdown.
And it was a raw paper view.
So it didn't matter anyway.
I only have two notes when we show this week.
Wow, that's sad.
Well, Emma, welcome back.
And now you're on the shelf.
She had already sold her injury at a house show in Liverpool.
All that I know what that means.
Tomorrow night, raw overseas.
And they still won't end on time.
Because they'll be pre-taped.
And you know, we have a paper view coming to our fairburg in July.
Yeah.
But we capture my birthday called Great Balls of Fire.
I'm not kidding you.
This is not a bit.
This is really the name of this paper view.
And they're seeing that that's Brock's first title defense, possibly.
They said maybe he might be an extreme role.
They're not saying either way yet.
But think about it.
Yeah, I know.
No, you're not telling me anything.
I don't know.
Because they did a whole promo on it Monday night.
Who is going to be the sponsor of Great Balls of Fire?
Um, Red Hots?
I don't know.
Hot to mollies?
You know what?
I'm going to leave it alone.
I'm going to leave it alone.
Because I, for the first time in many, many moons on this show, I actually stopped and thought
about what I was about to say before I said it.
So congratulations to me on that.
There are skid marks on the floor right now from him taping the parade.
Let me ask you something.
That rooms full of smoke.
Yes, sir.
If you're booking and I humor myself sometimes with what I type by mistake and you're booking
a paper view.
I'm going to put your champion on it.
Should he have been on granted?
I have said this was coming for about three weeks now.
So again, smartest man.
Wow.
You're made of it?
You're also fired down Texas, the mecca of wrestling.
American Airlines Center, historic building.
It's hard.
Okay.
It's held many fine concerts and events and special occasions.
Brock Lesnar.
Braun Strowman.
Is it the plan?
They're going to keep it going that long.
That's the plan.
Braun Strowman is not a manufacturer.
Well, what we've realized this week on Raw is they've just decided they're going to book
the Intercontinental Title as the World Title.
What?
Because you don't have a champion that's going to defend it or even show up every week.
So the Intercontinental Title is your featured belt on that show.
Wow.
This is giving me tired head.
And if I'm not mistaken, Orton wasn't even on SmackDown this week.
We was the last time you had a week of professional wrestling where neither champion was on the show.
It probably happens more often than you realize due to injury or other commitments or something like that.
I don't know.
And this house supports men.
Oh, that was wonderful.
You know the first 10 minutes of it were pre-tape.
No.
Because it started at the house in Missouri.
Yeah, it was taped in Missouri.
So they're in this house.
And it's nighttime.
It's like the paper used in San Jose.
And it's only like four in the afternoon there.
I went into my cousin Vinnie.
Do the laws of physics cease to exist at your stove?
Whoever's responsible for continuity just got future endeavoured.
Braid dumped the refrigerator of the rainy tea.
A refrigerator.
Yeah.
Yes.
He was there.
He was watching with me.
We were just selling the edges of the seats.
We're on a hardy thing with some more.
The edges of the seats are the bathroom.
And the baby dolls.
Yeah.
There's a whole room.
There's just a bunch of dolls that were hung from the ceiling.
Nice.
You know what?
Not a mere fuel there.
God bless Orton for selling it like he did.
Because he had to go on at least let me walk through the house first.
Because I don't want to see this for the first time when we're on camera.
Because I might laugh so hard at the end.
But I'm not laughing.
Yeah.
I gotta at least try to sell this.
Okay.
So raw notes.
Real quick.
More stated time.
Of course this thing is a win spirit.
He's doing nothing and tell.
El Paso.
But that's it.
Oh geez.
But 20 bucks are the win spirit.
Not a bad price.
Or there are some in this.
And it's a nice facility.
I just don't want to drive to Oklahoma.
It's an hour and a half.
I still don't want to drive to Oklahoma.
I've seen him live.
I'm actually going to do my notes in reverse order.
Great.
Okay.
First of all, Apollo Crews is a heel not buying it.
Trying to sell this whole tightest brand thing.
Not buying it, buddy.
And I realize this week.
Because you guys know how much I despise Corey Graves as a heel announcer.
I like the die.
Right there with you.
I think he's got great skills.
He's got a lot of knowledge.
But him as a heel announcer.
He's trying to.
But I've also realized and I've done some research on this.
Okay.
Cole lays out on him more than anybody ever did to lawler.
Because he'll drop what he thinks are these really funny jokes about people.
And I'm telling you, you could hear a cat pee on cotton from 50 yards.
It's so quiet.
No bastard.
Corey Graves.
I mean Corey Graves would be like, oh, this person blew blow blow.
And then nothing crickets.
And they'll be like, and then like five seconds later, you'll just hear Cole cook.
Another great match going on around.
Like it's.
It's it's so much worse than now that I've really paid attention to it.
Like when you're watching wrong, just pay attention to that.
I love it.
Especially now that Saxons on SmackDown.
Because see they switch Saxon and David Otanga.
But David Otanga's filming a movie right now.
So Booker T is filling in for David Otanga.
And even Booker T's laying out on him.
Like it.
There's a certain part of me that feels bad for Corey Graves.
Not even a little bit.
Because I mean, because you know he's getting fed all this stuff in his headset.
But they're just completely laying out on him.
It's not even a.
Wow, that was pretty bad.
Like they don't even say anything.
You know what I think this missing is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I don't know why it took me this long to realize it.
But dear sweet baby, she's just an manager.
It's funny.
That's classic.
Like, okay.
And at some point, you know, he's probably going to start say,
What, nothing?
Nothing?
I got nothing.
Really?
I got that one.
Okay, speaking of I got nothing, but I got something.
Great moment from the Bob and Tom show this week.
I think you want to talk about it yesterday.
But there's apparently someone in Asia that's saying that there's a shortage of ninjas in the world right now.
And Tom Griswald says,
Well, I think there'd be a shortage of ninjas after the intervention of the gun.
But that's just me.
No, I don't think you don't care.
That was my shortage of ninjas.
What?
I got to love that show.
All right.
So, other notes you need to know about if the world taught us nothing.
Billy Corgin has reared his head again.
What's he doing now?
He purchased the NWA.
Why?
Really?
He owns the National Wrestling Alliance.
Oh, my God.
And none of the old tapes.
Yeah.
But the library's not part of the deal.
Because Vincent, I guess Vince controls it.
And no.
Who know, they've got their own library of these stuff online.
Vince owns WCW, not the NWA.
I just figured he was snatching up everything.
That's just one of the things.
Oh, he hasn't gotten that yet.
But apparently, he's just going to blow the whole thing up and start over.
Good for him.
Well, I mean, God.
Best of luck.
Clean slate.
Something's got to be out there to.
And we're going to have to fix it.
He orders a VP shot up.
I will throw something at you.
Rust does say that Shinsuke Nakamura is on the poster for backlash.
They're pushing him hard for this thing.
I mean, he's good.
I like him.
I've got to watch him so much.
Smackdown notes.
So, you know, Simon Gatch is no longer with the company.
Right?
No.
So, Aden English, his tag team partner from the Vaude villains.
Still with the company.
Awkward.
Let me just say that Aden English is not going to be sending any Christmas cards to Simon
Gatch anytime soon.
Did you see this?
No.
No.
He's bit now.
He has to sing everything he says because I am a proper man and you are uncultured.
Isn't there already a gentleman guy already in the...
That's a 2005 live.
That's Jack Gallagher.
But he's doing this whole refined and I will sing everything in a very bombastic voice bit.
How stupid is this?
And you know, he's just in that ring going.
I'm going to kill Simon Gatch.
Because granted, we were getting buried as a tag team,
but this was still better than the crap you've got going on.
Flying pan to the end.
And so, Don, you did not see Smackdown on.
What part of it?
Did you see Sincara?
Do you want to call it that?
What happened?
What the hell's going on there?
I don't know.
What are you talking about?
Sincara has changed up his ring attire.
See if you can pull it up the gun.
Yeah.
It looks like body paint, but it may or may not.
No, it's something.
What?
And it was all green.
Like Hulk Green.
Sorry, it looks like a reptile now.
I was like, not even.
I mean, reptile would have been cool.
Green power Rangers.
What are we doing here?
Because he's been trading this Smackdown.
So I take it.
That's an experiment that's also failing.
Just now.
The superstar shake up that they.
Oh, hey.
Nobody cares.
So we're not even going to bother with the draft.
Oh, no.
Owen's got the US title back.
After Jericho beat him at payback.
Which really was a surprise.
Because everybody thought that Jericho was in a loop.
It was because him and father are about to tour.
And then he wins if payback.
And we all went.
The hell.
And then he loses too soon.
Yeah.
They pulled the sack prior.
Unfortunately.
Yeah.
Well, was that right?
It was because I mean, that was injury.
That ended up happening.
But with Jericho.
You know, you threw me a curveball.
God bless you.
But boy.
I can't wait to talk about that paper few here in a couple of weeks.
Because next paper, you backlash is in two weeks.
And just as a public service message.
Because that's what we do.
Guys, don't forget.
Next Sunday is Mother's Day.
Already sent up the cards.
So no NASCAR next week.
We'll still be on the air.
Because it'll be in the evening.
And then the week after that is backlash.
And then the week after that's Memorial Day weekend.
So you're going to blink in this month.
It's going to be gone.
And then eight weeks from now is summer ban 44.
So time's already moving.
God.
I believe that.
All right.
So let's talk some MLB standings.
Shall we?
I don't want to.
But it's not like your Rangers are playing badly.
Or no, they're playing badly.
But no, they'll win 14 to two.
And then lose 140 to three the next night.
They're just inconsistent.
After night after night.
I mean, they're inconsistent.
They're not bad.
Yeah, they are.
But I can't say the Rangers are a bad team because they're winning games.
I love my team, but they're really bad.
Right now.
American League East.
Toronto 11 and 20.
Boy, we're going to get the play here.
Really, it's a flavor game tonight.
Really.
Toronto is nine and a half back.
And it's me.
There are four games behind Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay is two games behind Boston.
Boy, there's an instability there.
This past week.
You saw about this, right?
What's that?
Adam Jones outfielder for the Orioles.
Had racial epithets through it him from the crowd.
They threw out 28 people.
Wow.
And the Red Sox had to really come out.
And there's a lot of apology.
And.
Oh.
Yeah.
Somebody got banned for life.
Like something.
They found the guy.
Yeah.
I think it's all fake.
Shut up.
Kurt.
Kurt.
Really.
Two words.
Kurt.
Video games.
Take a walk.
Have a seat.
Wow.
Wow.
I think it's sued by an entire town.
Uh-huh.
I think it did a 30 for 30 on it.
If I'm not mistaken.
Oh, they did.
And Boston is three.
Three and a half back on Baltimore and the Yankees who are both tied.
It looks like the Yankees actually have the tie ring.
Because they're winning percentages.
2000.
Better than Baltimore.
By the way, Yankees.
Eight and two in their last 10.
So keep your eyes peeled kids.
They might be back on the dog on trail again.
All right.
American League Central.
Oh, I hate to New Marlins logos so much.
Because there's always screen right now.
Uh, American League Central.
Kansas City is 10 and 20.
And they're seven back.
Let's see.
They are five games behind the white socks.
White socks are a half game back on Minnesota.
Minnesota's tied with Detroit.
And they're both a game on a half back on Cleveland.
Please hold on to relevancy.
And you're like, you're dangerous only lost by one today.
In the AL West.
You're Rangers though.
In the last point.
That's what I'm talking about.
Three and seven in their last 10.
Uh-huh.
Their eight games back.
They're a game behind Oakland.
Is a game back on Seattle.
Seattle is a half game back on law.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles County, California, America, North America,
Earth, Milky Way, universe.
And Houston.
Just right out of the gate, brother.
They're five and a half games up on the Angels right now.
It's mid-May.
Tom Sayon.
Where's my cursor?
There it is because I got to get to the other one.
They don't put them all together anymore.
You have to click them separately now.
American League West.
Let's get down to it.
San Francisco.
Which they may be our contestant this week.
They are nine games back.
They're 11 and 21.
They're a game behind San Diego.
San Diego is American League West.
I'm sorry, nationally.
Okay.
San Diego is five and a half back on Arizona, Arizona's tied with the,
with the, with the Misty's beloved Dodgers.
But they're both two and a half back on Colorado.
In the NL Central.
Don.
Oh.
You haven't rough day.
I know.
Your Pittsburgh Pirates are 14 and 17.
But let me put it to you this way.
To tell you how bad that division is,
there are three games below 500.
And there are three games back in the division.
I'll take it.
You're doing better.
They're a game and a half back on Millawakay.
Millawakay is a game back on the Cubs and St. Louis.
Louis has the tie break.
But they're both a half game behind their reds.
And then the only division that matters the NL East.
What are you doing over there?
I'm trying to get that Sintara thing.
The Atlanta Braves.
We're 11 and 18, sir.
We're strong.
We're nine games back in the division.
We're a game and a half back on my beloved Maroan's guide at logo.
Maroan's are tied with the Philly's seven and a half back.
The Mets are six and a half back.
And the Natinals are just, they're 21 and 10 right now, sir.
The Natinals, the Natinals.
But see, the Natinals all, they're 12 and four on the road.
God.
Who else has a better road record than them?
Probably nobody.
But the thing about the Natinals is they always start out strong.
And they just peed around that.
They do like break.
Not only that, or they'll make it, they'll make it to the playoffs.
And then just choking dogs.
Like my pirates.
Let me verify that we're about to play America's favorite game
with the right team, which it looks like we are.
So until otherwise stated, it is now time to play America's favorite game show.
What is the run differential?
For the San Francisco Giants.
It's not your Atlanta Braves anymore.
Oh, no.
My Atlanta Braves are actually doing well.
I think if they're like a minus 20, something.
You're happy.
So I mean, we're still in the last place.
All right.
Here we go, boys.
What is the run differential on May 7th for the San Francisco Giants Chad?
He says 62.
Don.
What's with that going over?
I'm going over.
I'm going to say 40.
40.
We're going to give Russ just a moment to see if he puts his prediction in there.
But speaking of, because of that going over, I actually was at the doctors the other day.
I'm having some issues with my shoulder.
So I'm right now on issues.
I'm on performance enhancing drugs because they gave me a steroid shot.
And they had the prices right on.
The doctor's office.
True is looking a little healthier.
Good.
Trying to get a little bit of the weight back.
He's like the jolly green giant.
Yeah.
What's that?
That was this past week on SmackDown.
You look at the jolly green giant.
Is he on it?
Is he?
All right.
Russ says minus 65.
Ooh.
So he tried to update.
Okay.
So closest without going over is Chad.
Really.
Closest with going over is Russ because it's minus 63.
Oh.
Wow.
I was really close.
Congratulations.
There are 11 and 21.
The 344 winning percentage.
They're nine games back.
They're on a three game losing streak.
Six and eight at home.
Five and 13 on the road.
Three and seven in their last 10.
So they got that going form.
We're going to be a monitoring that situation.
They've got nothing going on.
Come on.
What are you talking about?
It is America's favorite game show.
We have to have it back.
Is that time of year?
Yeah.
The Empire wants it.
And they do people have actually asked me for it.
Seriously.
Yes.
They're like, Rob.
Where's America's favorite game show?
Okay.
Who are these people?
And why do they not have hobbies of their own?
As we start to transition our way into movie talk.
Had a great media roundtable this last week that
Donna has attended with James Venhouse,
a comic book writer, a local guy.
Playwright who's written a three.
You should limited series for IDW called Night Owls Society.
We're actually going to take that media roundtable.
We're going to do a spotlight episode on that.
And here in a couple of weeks.
He's on the road right now because yesterday was free comic day.
He's down in Austin today.
We're going to have it.
We're going to spotlight episode with him in studio.
Okay.
Just a couple of weeks.
Nice guy.
Great guy.
We found he and Kelly Kitchens went to the same high school.
My wife.
Yeah.
And we got to take Kelly Kitchens for the invite.
Because we love Kelly Kitchens.
How little will Madeline while we were at it?
Full.
We got full of it.
And so if you want to stick around for a little bit afterwards,
let's read the comic.
But you're not taking it with you because he actually signed the one I have.
Yeah.
All right, gentlemen.
Let's get into movie talk, shall we?
All right.
Let's do it.
We're going to go straight to box office numbers from our friends at box office.
Mojo.
Have you looked at numbers yet, Chad?
No, I have not.
Good.
I'm glad you haven't because we may have to have an.
We may have to have an over under.
On number one.
All right.
Dropping out of the top 10 this week.
Get out after 11 weeks.
Finally got out of the top 10.
Yeah.
Did you ever see that?
I did not.
$720,000 this week.
11 weeks.
$173.9 million.
Domestic.
On what kind of a budget?
Four and a half.
That's phenomenal.
Yeah.
That's phenomenal.
So congratulations to Jordan Peel.
Wow.
That's that's amazing.
That looks like the only film dropped out of the top 10 this week.
In 10th place dropping from 8 to 10.
Smurfs the lost village.
Did not know it had actually come out.
$1.8 million.
$5 weeks.
$40.6 million.
A $60 million budget on that film.
That was like an Easter release I thought.
Was it in the event?
Dropping from 7 to 9 this week going in style.
I want to see this.
This is that Morgan Freeman.
That does look.
That I saw the first time it was called last Vegas, but I still want to see it.
Remember I'll get out of that.
I did that.
You did.
You did.
I did look the great film.
Great film.
Drop some $79 going in style.
$1.9 million five weeks.
$40.6 million on a $25 million budget.
And you don't even know that you can apply the rule of 50 here because I never saw
any trailers outside of what I saw like on nothing but trailers.
Marketing for going in style. I've seen a lot of TV spots. Yeah, yeah, I gifted it goes up from 9 to 8 this week
2.1 million dollars five weeks
19.2 million dollars. I do not have a budget there
Baha-bu-a-ba-ha-bu-bali to the conclusion. Now, let's talk about this
This actually last week debuted at the Bronze Medal. I was dropped to 7th place
one of the stars of this like the main star
passed away right before the movie was released. And they basically said we're not
doing another one. They're talking about now maybe doing another one
with working around it. Don't look at my screen because I just saw the
screens big over here. Don't look at my screen. Okay, gifted was about 7 million
dollar budget. Okay, good. Good for that movie. So did I. Oh yeah. The circle drops
from 5 to 6 this week. $4 million to weeks, 15.7 million dollars on an
18 million dollar budget. So they may not be the bad. I thought it was going to be
for that cast. Because that's almost no promotion on this. I saw a decent amount.
Now like it should have been that cast. How to be a Latin lover drops from the
silver medal to fourth place this week. I have talked to people I've seen this. It's
the same guy that remember, remember, Don, we saw instructions not included a
few years ago at the Valley View theater. Yeah, it's the same guy. Oh, really. Okay.
And people are saying this is really, really funny. Yeah. Now on the circle, our
friends at all. I didn't green the market. I we asked Josh. It's one of their
movies, but they were unable to screen it. The studio wouldn't let it. But I mean, it's
only an 18 million million dollar budget. So I'm going to start. We missed fifth place
dropping from six to five this week. Beauty in the beast, $4.9 million dollars, eight
weeks, $487.6 million dollars. I think that little studio is going to be just fine.
Good lord. But how to be a Latin lover does five in a quarter, two weeks, 20.7
million dollars. Because this guy's really big. He's huge. I can Brazil. And he's been
trying to figure out how he's going to break through with American audiences. But people
are loving this film. How to be a Latin lover. Have you seen that one of the posters
for it is a parody of 50 shades darker? No. And it's him, but the ladies like an old lady
and he's putting the mask on. The boss baby goes back into the top three. It doesn't
happen very often. 6.175 million dollars, six weeks, $156.7 million dollars. I'm
moving. I didn't give a shot and it's a good film. It's fun. I did not want to
like this film. I loved this film. And it's back into the top three. That's impressive.
They do the furious drops from the gold medal to the silver medal. And if you bet against
that, you're an idiot. Because if you're like, no, it's going to win again. No, not this
weekend. No, I wouldn't think so. 8.6 million dollars, four weeks, 207.1 million dollars.
Yeah, that's the line. Yeah. Chad just saw how to be a Latin lover poster. That was the
teaser. 50 shades grayer. Yeah. But faded the furious, $271 million dollars, $250 million
budget, but it's making serious bank oversee. It's a biggest international opening in history.
Wow, I was curious. All right. I've got a head rush right now. So we all know what number
one is this weekend. It is guardians of the galaxy volume two. Don, you want to take a stab at
what kind of business it now? Remember, faded the furious at 8.6 million dollars this week.
I already read it. I know. Okay. Chad national international. We're just going to domestic
take domestic. I'll give you international afterwards. 160. 200 million dollar budget on this film.
$145.1 million dollars. What was close? Now, foreign, this foreign had opened to another week earlier.
Yeah. Yeah. In Australia, opening day, it is the most opening money for a Marvel movie ever
and it tripled the first one in Australia. Jeez. Total foreign box office right now,
$282.6 million dollars. So worldwide, this thing's already almost at a half a billion.
Made it's budget back with. We've got written reviews up at the website. It's also iTunes exclusive
number 284. You know, I'm just thought of it. Yes, I don't what we thought. All right. Subscribe to iTunes.
So, uh, May 16 next Tuesday. I don't know if you've seen what the Allamodraft House
chain will be doing. No. They are going to be doing Logan noir. They're doing it in black and white.
They are doing it in black and white next week. And it also will be available that way on the
blue rate release. I'm being told. See, and I heard the same thing about Mad Max Fury Road. I'll
not that ever happened. It made it to the blue rate. I know that. Okay. All right. And getting a 3D
release August 25th, T2. The ultimate for the ultimate for the 26th anniversary. Yeah. That is kind
of strange. Yeah, it came out in 91. If I remember that summer, because that was that and Robin Hood
Prince of Thieves, the same summer. Uh, the fire starter remake has a director. Oh, they're redoing
because it does a key of a goldsman directing a fire starter remake to anything for you. So he's
directing now. That's what they said. He has a screenwriter to director. Okay. So the remake. Oh,
because Carrie did so wonderful. Now those. Actually, Carrie didn't do all that badly. Believe
it or not. He has many times it's been remade. That's what like three remade. I say,
and they need to leave everything alone to just pave the way for the dark tower. Let that be all
the focus. Yeah, let that be because that trailer could well, but think about you've also got
it coming out. And that's easily his biggest juggernaut. Rob can't wait. So you know, the remake of
a star of is born as being filmed right now. Yes. Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, first production
still came out a couple of weeks ago. I liked what I saw. But they have cast noodles, the character of
noodles in the film. Someone that's very close to your heart. Am I about to throw something?
You wouldn't know him for serving pancakes. She fell really? She fell as playing noodles and a star
is more. Oh, nice. Don, I know you screened this. I don't know if you did chat. I didn't get to.
You screened bad moms. Yeah. Yeah. What? Yeah. The sequel is in production. Oh, really? And it's called
a bad mom's Christmas hook. We had that great thing out there in a South Lake. I didn't get to go
that. Yeah. But joining the cast for this one, because you got me lacoonous Catherine Han,
who was the third in that Christian Bell Christian Bell. Anthony, Anthony from the movie brother,
uh, joined me. He was there. Yeah. Yeah. Joining the cast, Susan Sarandon, Christine Baranski,
Cheryl Hines, and Peter Gallagher. So we're going to have an old bad mom's club right there.
It wasn't our genre, but still I liked it. I know you enjoyed it. I don't know if it wasn't our genre or not,
bro. That was also announced today that the sequel for Edge of Tomorrow has a title,
because you know very few people actually refer to it as Edge of Tomorrow, which is the actual name of
that film. Because the tagline was so prominent on the poster, everybody calls it live die and repeat.
Oh, I always call it Groundhog Day with Guns. The sequel will be called live die repeat and repeat.
Hey, you got a bit that works. Moving your releases this week, and I have to say this very
clearly. So it's not to be confused with a guy or richy film, and also so that we don't do
that that means two things. Snatched. Amy Schumer, Goldie Han, we're going to be screening it on Tuesday nights.
So make sure you get your RSVP in. So Goldie Han, opening a film right after her life partner,
opens a film. Yes, got the way the DH team in that King Arthur legend of the sword speaking of
Guy Richie. The wall gets its release this week. This is the John Cena thing. Yeah, that the war
film and I don't know if you've seen this trailer. Low writers. No. No, it's it. This is a thing.
Oh no. Um, Eva Longore is involved in this, which I was kind of like really, Melissa Benoist
isn't this super girl herself super girl is in this, but she was also in Patriot Day.
That is, but this this thing, a young street artist in East Los Angeles has caught
between his father's obsession with low-writer car culture, her his ex-fellan brother and his
need for self-expression. And I'm out. Sorry. Theo Rossi, Damian Beshear. Not like that dude.
That's the only names I really recognize on this. Yeah, that's a thing.
Did they get their rights to this song? I'm just wondering.
DVD and Blue Right New Release is this week. Well, but we just-
Oh, and Chuck really, but I think Chuck's a limited release this one. Okay, okay, which will be
screening tomorrow night. This is a Leav Shriver. That looks good. Yeah, but the story that inspired Rocky.
So it's kind of weird. We just talked about this in that poster at 50 shades darker.
It's Blue Right and DVD this week. Can I wait not to buy the void, which was shown at the
Dallas International Film Festival, which friend of the show James Bragel checked out. He really,
enjoyed the criterion collection. Stay with me on this.
John Delman, 23 quadru commerce 1080 Berset is the name of the film. I'm assuming it's French.
Going on that limb. A couple of tech talk headlines. Donkey Kong Street Fighter 2,
Pokemon Red and Green, and Halo Combat Evolves have joined the video game Hall of Fame.
Well, good. Those are your entries for Donkey Kong. Hey, how it took Journeyway to
Long to get it in the Hall of Fame. By the way, did you- General would get through that whole thing?
Uh-huh. What a great show that they did at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. I don't know who impressed me the most.
But Jeff Lynn? Yeah, well, it was always- I was stunned at how good they sounded. They're amazing.
And the the whole Snoop Dog thing. So funny. So funny. I got tear yet. I am not gonna lie. I got tear yet during it.
And just let me set the record show. There's something a lot of people were complaining about the whole
Steve Perry didn't perform with Journeyway. They dedicated a lives to him. He's been having health problems.
Mm-hmm. And that's probably why he didn't perform. Not exactly. Oh, really. From what I've read,
it's what's- what's the new guy's name, Steve O-O-Cheer, whatever that is, O-Cheer, whatever. Who-who
Perry spoke very highly of. That's why. He's like, that was a group that I was a part of. I'm not a part of that group anymore.
To take the spotlight from him would be unfair. I would have liked to see them perform together.
I wouldn't. Yeah, I would like to see. Especially since you're doing don't stop believing. Yeah.
And as much as I like lights, I would have liked to have maybe a little separate ways, maybe, you know,
our nil, Pineda. No, that's the guy. That's the guy. Um, the- I like I would have liked to, you know,
had him come out just start doing the don't stop believing, you know, oh, you know, repeat over and over.
But at great moments at the Hopkins Royal Hall of Fame, enjoy the whole thing.
Joan Bias looks great. Yeah, no kitten. So, all right. So, normally this is where we would do the list.
But, you know, because we can't do anything normally on this show.
Oh, uh, Russell says that the 40th anniversary is smoking in the bandit.
Really? I love that film. I saw it to drive in a few years ago.
Yeah. Smoking the bandit and Star Wars kicked off in the brown and round at the same time.
So, this is the part chat doesn't know it's coming. Okay.
Instead of a list tonight, I thought we would revisit the Dallas guitar show from this weekend.
Don calls me this morning during church.
And I'm on the answer in the phone because I'm a church.
So, I call him back and I do. What's going on? I'm a church. He's like,
So, this thing happened this morning. And I want to see if we can play it on the show tonight.
And I'm like, okay, what's going on? He goes, I got this call and
I wound up in a hotel room to do an interview. I was like, oh, really? So, we got the interview
and it's entirety. It's 12 minutes long. I'm going to mute the mics because I want this to happen
uninterrupted without our commentary because this is a big get.
So, ladies and gentlemen, oh, hold on. I've already muted you. I'm sorry. This trick is still alive.
Ladies and gentlemen, what you're about to hear is Don Ford's exclusive interview one on one
with Ted Nugins.
This is Don Ford and power members here from the clubhouse podcast. I'm interviewing the
Motor City man, man himself, Ted Nugins.
Don, you expect me to believe that this little handheld apparatus will actually accept
embrace and convey my spoken word. This is what you expect me to believe. I'm trying. I'm trying.
I'm going to get over closer. Okay, that's not problem. I have trouble with you. All right. So,
we'll get this point across because you know, Don, that the reason you're here is because
every word out of my mouth is life pivotal. You know that, don't you? Yes, okay. I've been following
you. I'm almost like a guru. I'm almost like mother Teresa and what's the guys sitting in the
mountain top? Who are they? I'm like them, except I have a clock. If Gandhi, that's maybe good. Maybe
Gandhi, yes, you're like, like if Gandhi was a guitar player, he would have wrote Wang Dang's
sweet poem tank. I promise you this. Well, first off, I want to say you're here for the 40th
anniversary 2017 Dallas International Guitar Festival. Why are you here? What's the special about that?
They want me on that hill. They need me on that hill. They rise and celebrate their daily lives
under the shadow of the sonic bomb blasts that I provide and do not ask him question why or how I
provide that sonic bomb blasts. This is a celebration of the universal communication of music
in all of its forms that is driven by, without question, you see, I almost said that we're probably
and I edited myself. That would be edited myself. It is the universal guitar expanded voice
that is the driving force in the most important and powerful music in all music lovers life.
Yes, the keyboards. Yes, the bass. Yes, the drums. Yes, the stacks of horn section, all of the above.
But the guitar is such a definitive emotional musical expression vehicle that if you
would have, did you witness the line I had yesterday? Yes, I was there looking my eyes. What's left
of my eyes? Yes. I am stimulatedly fatigued, which is the greatest high of highs because
every one in line, which for eight over eight hours, thousands of people, we shared a celebrated
and united love. And obviously it was a Ted Newton booth, so they were there to meet this guy.
So it was focused on my songs and my music and my guitar tone and ego be damned.
I'm a huge fan of excitable dynamic music and every man, woman, child and infant. It's
a little baby girl. Maybe boys and girls are gay to laugh. They got kissed some some
form of authority. Yes. Their parents expressed wide-eyed and passionately how my songs,
individual songs, the intensity of my performance and the maximum human dynamo of my bandmates
have delivered pivotal. I said pivotal when I first answered your question. Not just great moments,
not just really special moments. Pivotal moments in their lives that my songs played,
the soundtrack. And I'm sure the stones and the Beatles and the artbirds and the kinks and the
Who would James Brown, it wasn't big in a salmon day and orders ready and Jimmy Hendrix and
Stevie Ray Vaughan and I could go on for a hundred days and never run out of masters that have
provided pivotal soundtrack moments and life times for people. And the international
Dallas guitar festival had to be put on by a guy named Jimmy Wallace and as you noticed that the
list of musicians and virtuosos that attend this and celebrate this really are the the top
dogs in the musical world. So I know that there's a spirit and attitude of fiery passion
for the music that that describes my love of the music and my shared love of the music and for
them to mention a song is so fortified. There's only one thing more dangerous than a coiled
rattlesnake within two feet and that's Ted Newsy with more confidence and I have my confidence
cup continues to overflow because of the love and sincerity that these people express so Jimmy
is putting on an event called the International Dallas guitar festival that draws music lovers in
to meet Chris Duarte and Derek St. Holmes and Andy Timons and in the past Jeff Bakker,
Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Billy Gibbons and again I could go on and on and on and on.
600 vendors there. Those of us that love the music love to get together and talk the music and that's
when you're and see the fans. Yeah well you know you use the word fans and yes I'm a fan of the music but
I'm also a music I use the word blood brother. It's an Aboriginal term of deep and spiritual connection
where a blood brother will be there for his blood brother and be there for his tribe and really this
this goes deep into the realm of spirituality these people's lives my life your life I
suspect everybody who has a fire and a passion in their belly it is so moved by the music that we love
and the best music in the world just happens to be driven by guitars. Now we have your career as
change over the three years he started off with the 10 new gyms well first it goes way back before that
well I started in 1955 and Detroit I had a band called the Royal High Boys what was I seven years
old and me and the drummer we were a combo we didn't usually read bands it was we have a combo
and do that but I've been at this all my life I'm a lifer of rock and roll and rhythm and blues and
American music or people's music and so to do this at the age of 68.6 and see the the excitement level
not only has it not diminished as you can tell for me not only has not diminished in me it's just keeps
escalating every day but also with the fans or the people who share this love of the music so it's really
a tribal blood brotherhood primal eruption it's not background music yeah plus country music
but this is not background music that we play and people pivot on the dynamo the sexuality the
sensuality the rhythms the the primal scream the out-of-body stress relieving that music represents
and I I'm able to articulate that because I've communicated with music lovers all my life not just
the greatest musicians but the greatest music lovers in the civilian trench like me I
yeah it's not that I hear you're describing you pretty good yeah you start you know you had to
career then for instance you joined the band damn you know that's when I saw the band and I saw you
that's the only time I saw you live was in Billings Montana when you're touring with that company
oh yeah you're great yes yes and the music has changed what is the future for Ted now what
style do you plan to do what do you just want to keep on touring doing the old stuff or you got new
stuff coming in well I don't really think I have changed in fact I jammed the other night with some
guys the guys that are jamming with me tonight at the guitar festival his name is John Cuts KUTZ
on drums and animal and Johnny show and they call him Johnny big on bass guitar another example
of you expressing the excitement level and the musical believability and authority that the damn
Yankees and bad company and all the bands have been around but Tommy Shaw jack plays Michael
Cardelloni my current band Jason heartless from Detroit on drums great Smith all these years on
bass guitar this is an example of the superhuman caliber of talent that I've always been surrounded
by so I don't really think I want to change that the other night we jammed in a little club and
wake up because I can't help myself and we played baby please don't go which I played for the first
time in 1961 so in yeah we played with a little bit more fire I don't know about more fire but
a little bit more precision maybe I'm not even so sure about precision because the garage band
lifts in our music so I don't see changes I see expansions and developments but Wang Dang
sweet pun tang and Wang O'Tango and Fred Bear and Strangohold and doggy dog and all my love songs
and paralyzed and off his shut up and jammed I still believe in everything matters and Johnny be good
forever and a brand new song I wrote last week called where you're going to run to get away from
yourself it it's it's still black soulful howler wolf muddy waters will some pick it
James Brown bogeyly Chuck Berry little Richard Jerry Lee Lewis driven uninhibited
unlimited primal expression so I don't see it changing at all what worked in 55 for me

in a long time I did want to mention that we something that I thought you were going to bring up
and and TV talking okay we did something that I heard earlier on this week that
with game of thrones winding down I hear that they're planning I didn't put it on there because
that there's nothing solid but yes they are planning on spin-offs from game of thrones
of them and I'm actually easy killer I'm very easy killer on that yeah as am I approach that with
cautious often yes but apparently they're working with George R. R. Martin on it yes and they've got
like that doesn't necessarily tell you well but they've got like four specific screen writers
working on each treatment for each series like four separate screen writers so who knows and Rust says
