Got his degree, getting ready to educate the minds of America.
Got to spend some time with his family and as well as his wife's family.
Good times were had by all this weekend, I think.

I kind of miss him.
I need to make some time.
I also got to see my great nephew and I was able to regale him with a Batman tour
so big that came with a cape and matching little sockies.
He was the talk of dinner last night, I will put it to you that way.
And the logo on the torso big thing, because it was Batman's torso on the big, the
logo was embroidered.
Very classy.
Wow, very classy.
You don't see a lot of embroidery done, Uncle Rob throws down when he has to.
Just saying, had a great time this weekend, preparing for another week.
We start every show with corrections, we actually have two from last week.
We were talking about match game, it was Brett Summers, who we couldn't think about.
King is drawing a total blank on that.
And the blazers were not ahead of the Warriors last Sunday as I thought they were.
I read something wrong, which we'll talk about here in NBA talks.

And I will also be in Charlotte as the Indy 500 for Formula 1 happens in Indianapolis.
That's the same weekend.
Good Lord.

that we're not allowed to talk about just yet.
We're waiting on some clearance on that.

Fox has given them season four.
There were some rumors swirling that they might have been on the bubble, but they have
survived.
They haven't watched an episode.
That sister loves that show.
I've heard great things.
But again, when there's 140 programs on my DVR currently, I am finally caught up on Marble's
Avengers Assemble, got caught up on that today.
We're slowly, but surely working our way towards, towards getting able to watch movies
again.
Okay.
Speaking of things that are going away, we got some cancellations to talk about CMT as canceled
Redneck Island.
So Steve Austin only has 13 jobs now.
So good for that.
He talked about it on his podcast on Thursday, and he was really, really like he was totally
cool about it.
He was like, man, had a great time on that show.
I want to thank everybody involved.
But that's how I found out of was he announced it because I haven't read that anywhere.
That's the first I've heard about it.
ABC has canceled Asian Carter, the Muppets, Castle, Nashville, and they have officially
passed on Marble's most wanted that will not be a thing now.
Wow.
So you're right out those two characters to put them in a spin-off and ooh, the spin-offs.
So I've got to think they're probably going to bring them back next season somehow,
some way.
Well, it depends on how much longer that series plan is on sticking around.
Give me more Adrian Policki, I'm good, from Sam.
The CW does pick up super girl after CBS goes, good.
So and if they're smart, they keep it right in the same slot.
Yeah.
Because you're set your APM Eastern time slot, 4 to 4 out of 5 days is going to be the
WB, basically, because you'll have super girl, flash, arrow, and legends of tomorrow.
Now they have picked up a season order for this Riverdale, which I'm, man, it's Archie
meets supernatural.
Yeah.
Basically, but you don't put that on Friday nights and you've got comic properties all
the way across the board of the eccentric, an 80's turn.
Do we do we need an Archie?
I mean, seriously, I mean, did we need a vampire diary spin-off?
Well, because vampires are hot.
I mean, vampires are hot.
I mean, vampires.
It's an answer.
Well, I mean, like you had, you had true blood and you had twilight still in their,
kind of in their prime, whatever they started talking about vampire diaries.
How many, how many seasons has that thing been around now?

It's had staying power because it's still riding that wave, of course, the wave could
crash into the shore any minute, but I forgot that Nina Dobre of though, and she's had
a little something work.
Well, they struck while the iron was hot, but I really don't think this Archie Riverdale
thing is going.
We started in oh nine.
Okay.
So this would be going into 2016, seven seasons, at least, you know, you got that going
for you.
So you got that.
Also, sci-fi has green with a pilot for Krypton.
I think we need Riverdale more than we need this.
You think, yeah, I mean, we've done this already, kind of.
And I'm sorry, but if, if this take on Krypton is going to be the Superman version
of Gotham, I'll pass, I'm three or four of a sudden behind up.
You ate, this isn't the finale this weekend, the finale of almost everything is this
coming week.
I mean, Empire.
Well, I think Arrow and Flash have another week to go.
I thought this was it for them, I know Chicago Fire Chicago PD or shows I'm following
there for now these are this week, let me look and verify that for you.
Now, let's see season four scrolling down, yeah, there is one next week.
May 25th this is season finale, so I'm assuming that I know that the legends of tomorrow
finale I believe is this week, yes, but Arrow and Flash, I think are both next week.
Okay.
So, there's that going for you.
Let's see, FX has said the strain and your the worst will return in August, I've heard
a lot of good people take good things about the strain.
All I know is when you're, when you're first promo shot at something going into somebody's
I, I'm out, that freaks me out, I'm out, you what, what then on the billboards, that's
what I'm saying, yeah, Fox has given a series order to both lethal weapon and the
xorcist a series order sir, so get ready for that, oh, something that we were talking
about this past week at work, we were like, is, is rush hour done, is it?
I don't, so we looked it up, it was a 13th order season and it's slated to go all the
way through June 23rd episode, let's see, 987 episodes six or seven aired, that's 10987, so
episode eight arrows this week, it's apparently on Thursday, Thursday nights and we have not
given this a second of our time, which was, I think it would be a second about too long, it might
be too, it's just, no, there, there are certain things that just don't need to exist and that's one of
them, uh, preacher next Sunday night, that, you're ready? Oh yeah, I mean, they did the, I think
they are the, the first or the first two episodes that South by Southwest and people were going
crazy over it, so that premier is next Sunday night on AMC, now I'm curious, so we're these
following a show that you, you've stopped watching apparently, I mean, have you completely
bailed on fear, they're working that pretty much pretty much, I mean, just talking to the
front of the show Kevin Daniel says we can, he said his wife's barely holding onto this one,
it's, I, I, I feel almost as turned off by fear the walking dead as I do got them,
it is just my thing with got interesting got them has moments, but not in the same way that
agents of shield has moments, yeah, like agents of shield, I'm got them to the poor, I'm just like,
I'm done, this is the last episode I'm watching, and then they do some of them, I'm like slap
you pulled me back in, Gotham has these weird sprinkled moments that happen in the middle of episodes
and but see to me, the show does it, they've written themselves into a corner and they don't know
how to get out of it and see to me, they're, they're quote unquote moments as you put it,
feels like a Mick Foley cheap heat, yeah, it, it does, I'm just like, I know why you're doing
we're here in Gotham City, yeah, and I'm just having the air, no, I'm not feeling it, I just
not feeling it. Oh, Russ says something about Billy Ray Cyrus is the King on CMT, I don't know exactly
what you're referring to, sir. He's talking superhero Sunday flashed in Supergirl, no, I need no more
shows on Sundays, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, are you caught up on Game of Thrones,
by the way, yes, did you enjoy the picture that I put on a Facebook yesterday? What did you just go look at
if you're, you know, that's what I have to be caught up on Game of Thrones, but if you're not a
game of Thrones person and won't make any sense to you. I thought last week was a good episode,
was it a great episode, but it was a good episode, so I'm expecting big things tonight for Game
of Thrones, which we'll watch when we get out there. Not sure if you've heard about this,
UFC is in talks to sell to a different ownership group. UFC is, yes, right now, negotiating
prices 3.5 to 4 billion, and it should get it. So, did you ever get into some of
anarchy? No, there's a spinoff. That's currently inscript development at FX is going to be called
Mayans MC. Unfortunately, the lovely and talented in Mrs. Irvine is not currently any
or near the studio. You just saw it. Funny. You got to admit funny, sir. I feel suckered in, though.
So, I'll have to find out what her thoughts on this are because I don't really know what the
reference is, and I'm not sure if Don's checked in or not, but I'll have to check with him as well.
Speaking of spinoffs, the blacklist and other one of my wife's favorites is getting a spinoff
called the blacklist redemption with the characters of Tom Keen and Scotty Hargrave, the
latter of those two played by the fam Kajansen. Really, they kind of introed his character on their
season finale this past week. And I don't really want to go into because it's only been 48
hours or 72 hours. And so, I don't know if people are watching the blacklist or caught up or not.
So, I really don't want to, you know, I'm not the guy that's going to spoil things the day after
stuff airs. Super hero news. You know, I told you I stopped liking that Facebook page right
as you should. Because now twice in the last six months, they've spoiled something for me
the day after it aired. Yeah. To me, if you do it once, you're, that's one time too many.
Oh, we have somebody in the chat room. I'm not exactly sure who it is, but they said they
feel shows keep jumping this shark and I agree. And it's like, they start to jump in the
midterm stops, but they said they're looking forward to game of thrones. I just feel like this
is going to be a big season for game of thrones. It's just, it's one of those things that I really
feel like we're marching towards something really, really big. And I've got theories, but I don't
want to share them on the show. Because again, people might not be caught up. I hope we're not
just being, I really dug the end of last week's episode though. It's like, ooh, it just got real.
Yeah. Robot chicken. Going to be doing a walking dead special. Well, this draw you to watch
it episode of Robot Chicken, probably not. So they didn't say when they're just coming up.
Any any TV news that I'm missing this week? This this rumor shake up on Empire with
Jesse Smollett talking about he's done with the show. And this would be who the kid that plays
Jamal like the the the the best singer in the family. Okay. Because I don't watch Empire. So
they had a cliffhanger ending on last week's episode. And was it the finale or the finale?
This is finale. This week. Okay. All right. Fair enough. So there are faiths that are kind of
hanging in the balance. His character being chief among them. And he kind of put out a really
cryptic tweet of, you know, Empire has been good to me time to make music and movies y'all or
something like that. And then apparently there were some wrangling with the contracts like
he wants to get paid as much as, you know, cookie and Lucius is, you know, you're talking about
other works of. Yeah. Yeah. Those are the stars, the anchors of that show. And they're probably
not going to be willing to part with that kind of money. So he may be it may be smoking mirrors.
I don't know. We'll find Russ says starting June 25th ABC is going to have a game show block with
$100,000 perimid, you know, who's hosted that, right? $100,000 perimid? Uh-huh. No.
Would be one Michael Strahan. Oh, good. And I guess ABC's going to be carrying a match game that we
talked about last week with Alec Baldwin and celebrity family feud. So Alex, not going to be on
NBC. That's it. I guess not. But I mean, that's a heck of a little block they got going there.
Yeah. I'm kind of fading with the family feud thing. It's not as much fun as it used to be. I don't
know what it is. But I was always a fan of the pyramid. Boy, this, and I'm, you know, I'm a fan of
a match game. We were having another massive resurgence of, of prime time game shows. I'm good with it.
I'm a fan of show fan. It's just weird how that, how that cycle keeps going. And I missed it on Friday night.
And I'm glad that's because that prompted something else that we need to talk about.
I wouldn't say friends of the show, but people that I follow on Facebook and Twitter via
our cabs. These are the people that make those awesome video, not fitting about pinball machines.
It had the plasma screens in them. We're on apparently on Shark Tank this past week. Really.
I saw it on Facebook today. I don't know how it wound up. So good look to them. Yeah.
Yeah, because I'll tell you what. That's someone you want to invest in. Yeah. That's a smart
it's pretty fun. Look them up. I mean, it would take me way to do how long to explain it.
But they do some really cool stuff. Let's do a little bit of NBA talk.
Our long national nightmarish over.
The heater finally out of the playoffs. This has been, you know, I love my heat.
But I was ready for them to be out of the playoffs. This was not good for my blood pressure.
Do you're relieved by this? Yes, but I can't.
Because they were going to get dismantled by the cabs anyway. So let's go get rested up for next
year, boys. And news that really kind of shocked me. Okay. See, takes down the spurs. So your
Western conference finals is now Oklahoma City Golden State. Oh, my God.
I'm going to say it right now. And I'm going to go against with a lot of these sports
pundits are saying Oklahoma City gets one game in this series. I think the warriors dismantle them.
That's going to be a heck of a matchup. I mean, I'd like to see a good series out of it. But
Golden State's just too hot and okay sees had some real flukey things happen to get them to this point.
Did you ever think you would hear yourself say that about okay see? I did say they were going
to dominate this conference for five years. That five years is just about up.
And Golden State is just everywhere right now. You can't you can't stop them. You can only hope to
contain them. I feel bad for whoever wins Atlanta Cleveland. Why is that? Because they got
to play whoever wins warriors okay see. This end of be a finals may be one of the most
lost side of we've seen in years. This is going to be entertaining. I hope so. I mean, I really
I hope so. I mean, you got to dig the matchups with nothing else. I still say warriors in five.
I'm just saying, you know, the matchups look great on paper. I also say Cleveland in five. I think
Atlanta will get one, but it's going to be kind of fluky because that is that your buzzword for
the playoffs fluky. This year, fluky is the word. That's really all we've got. Nothing really

Toronto Cleveland in the Easter conference finals. The raptors. Oh, okay. Okay. That's my bad.

Atlanta on my head? This is my Braves can't win their way out of a paper bag. It's got to be what it is.
I got a cracker Jack prize. It wasn't Atlanta Braves to crack it. I'll take it. I'm so
fan. Hope it didn't get thrown away because I had to get in Atlanta. My brain is offline today.
Person of interest is a segment we do on this show where we take a person or an entity. We debate their
greatness or lack there. It is my turn to take POI this week. And I kind of want to change. Oh,
Jules is the anonymous. Okay. She's trying to figure out how to sign in as herself a non-anonymous
3,333. Fair enough. Gonna take a little bit of a curve this week on person of interest because
it's something that I don't know that you and I have really gotten into real deeply. Okay. You have
me entry. Had my second viewing last weekend of Civil War. Got to see it in 3D, which seeing the
road one trailer in 3D makes me really happy. But there was another trailer we saw
that I'm on the fence about. But I'm worried about at the same time. And that would be a little
movie called Marvel's Doctor Strange. Yeah. The Marvel universe continues to prove me wrong,
which is a good thing because I said Captain America was going to be tough to pull off with that
outfit. Then I would just change the outfit every movie. Everything seems to be working on
all cylinders. I was I was I was I was I was very very happy with Guardians because I thought Guardians
was going to be tough to pull off. But it seems like with the success of Guardians of the Galaxy
and Ant-Man. Two two properties that may be were risky to bring to the big screen because they
weren't necessarily characters that people were familiar with. And goodness knows Ant-Man went through
an absolute crisis, you know, identity crisis. I'm glad it did because then I heard about what
Edgar Wright was going to do with it. No it would have just crashed and burned horribly. He wanted
to be an ant that turned to do a name. Yeah. I don't think he quite have you ever read a comment
that did you understand the source material? But with Doctor Strange, the first trailer had a
couple of weeks ago. This to me is the riskiest property yet because number one you haven't
introduced him in any other way shape or form to the universe, right? Which I think is a mistake.
But it was worked before. It worked with Ant-Man. It worked with Guardians.
But then you you look at who Doctor Strange is. Even Strange is a surgeon who becomes a master
of the mystical arts. I really got a better look at this trailer when I saw it in a theater
much less than 3D. The end of the trailer looks amazing. Cumberbatch walking up the stairs
with the cape flapping in the wind. But when you're dealing with multiple realities and you're
dealing with someone who walks between those worlds, I think this is going to be a tough thing to pull
off. And I'm worried. I'm honestly worried about this. I am too because I think it's going to
confuse non-fans, non-comic book again. It's going to get dumbed down so much that it's just
going to be completely watered down version of the character. And it's going to tick off the fanboys.
Yeah, you've got to you've got to kind of serve two, you know, two audiences here. And it's really
hard to do service to one without doing a disservice to the other. And that's a slippery slope.
They've put themselves on with this. I mean, Guardians, I think it was a little bit easier to get away
with because people were so unfamiliar with it and they could have done anything with that group
because there's been so many different versions of the Guardians. Right. And I think they just,
I think they found the perfect blend somehow that worked for everybody, worked for the studio,
worked for the audience. And it plays well into the storyline. But Cumberbatch is capable.
But I'm not, it's not Cumberbatch that I necessarily worried about. Well, and, and me, either.
You know, he's, he's the least of by concerns. It's whoever's doing the script.
And who's ever at the helm? Let me get you some, um, do do do do do do do do do.
I mean, you got Rachel McAdams is in this also till the Swinton's, the director is a Scott
Daryxon. Now we're looking at an November fourth release here. Scott Daryxon, you would know,
this is a guy. I mean, given the, the, the subject matter, you look at some of the other stuff
he's done. He did the remake of the day the earth stood still. He did the exorcism of Emily Rose.
He did sinister. He did deliver us from evil. He also wrote Devils Not, all the movies I mentioned
before Urban Legends Final Cut. So he's got a little bit of skins on the wall in this direction.
He's worked in the genre close to the genre. He could save that. He hasn't done a comic
of the film, but he's worked out. He's also written this with a C Robert Cargill.
Oh, we need to go back some hold on here.
C Robert Cargill, you would know, basically co-wrote all the same stuff with him.
See, I don't know if this is pumping me any full of any more stuff.
This C Robert Cargill is from San Antonio. That name rings a bell to me. I don't know why.
But, uh, he did, he did, he'd also did an episode of the 8th Cole with Harry Nulls.
He did something called Let's Go DFW, didn't episode that. But, I,
I feel like I need to reserve judgment, but I don't know that I can. You know what I mean?
Well, I know that the majority of the naysayers seem to have an issue with
till the swim's casting, and the role she's playing. I'm not worried about casting yet,
because we don't know who's playing who yet. Yeah. So,
I'm just, I don't know.
They're just an ill-wind blowing on this. It's just that, uh, and I pretty got him wrong.
Yeah, I do too. I don't want it to fail, but it's,
for the most part, every marble trailer that I've seen,
I've seen something in it that gives me goosebumps. Like, okay, that's going to be worth seeing.
Right. And there are some interesting shots in this thing, but then again,
I'm not the biggest Doctor Strange fan in the world. I don't know all that much.
I never got into it. I was a younger man. I mean, I kind of got into Doctor Strange,
because that thought was really neat. And one of the episodes of Marvel's Avengers
assembled, they dealt with him this year.
Like, to me, I always thought that Doctor Fate was a more interesting doctor.

Recyting them to when she was typing in them in for me, so a lot of them were your standard staples like number 10's McDonald's

Fan as I was neither am I neither am I but the other reason that it really makes the list is because the drive through is up in 24 hours
And they most cases and they have their and they have their breakfast menu items on their breakfast menu
Available all the time, so you can get an egming muffin at two o'clock in the morning if the mood strikes you
So for if for no other reason because of that
Number nine is Denny's and and number nine and number eight could probably be interchangeable
Denny's and high hop because remember kids you never plan to go to Denny's or I hop. You just wind up there

One plate and if you get the full Albert special it can feed you for a whole week. It it has
It comes to tortillas. It's amazing. They make their own salsa there. It's fantastic. It is absolutely fantastic
I forgot how many times we would leave the city. We'd leave sports city and we'd go there
I was more than I would never went there after sports city, but I would go there after scooters because they're out of the street. Yeah
Number four jack in the box
Again for the same reason because they have a 24 hour drive through and they serve their full menu all day long

Jack in the box tacos and it's just it will soak up any alcohol still left in your stomach
Still out and it will at least give you something there in case the worst case scenario plays a stuff

Stuff like that. We're like if you have a particular craving that you just can't find at a drive through or at a sit-down restaurant
Jump in grab a plate and jump right back out a fruit platter
Sometimes you're in the morning sometimes you're craving pineapple. You know, it just that does happen

Has stepped it up even further. Oh really. Oh good lord
They have like a general chose chicken and
They have the okay, okay, okay, you know the bowls that they have a KFC that have like the layer of mashed potatoes and then the corn
They do that and it tastes just like the KFC bowls and it's a grocery store
Yes, yeah, no, it's a pretty heavy grocery store over there
Tortilla soup. I mean, it's it's like gourmet food that's just right there and it's next to nothing like you can get like the little
Mashed potato bowl the chicken mashed potato bowl for like 250
And it really is great good. I mean, and it's a it's a dead arm. Is that right up here? Basically right up the center building LBJ here locally
And they're building one right out there where we're staying in an early console. I'm happy about that there

We looked it up and there was one that's open in in that part of Dallas 24 hours a day not all of them are but this one is and I want to say there's one of four
Worth that's open 24 hours as well. They had banana bread french toast
Surved with sliced fresh fruit and thick cut bacon
That blows anything that dinnies are I'll have whatever put in front of you out of a water
Gourmet coffees and teas is they they tend to go as the as a name of the place would suggest a little bit more
South of the border style
Fair like they they they serve a
Meagus and shorty so a lot of there are a lot of their plates and stuff but you don't have to go that route if you don't want to
Sanwiches are always good
But their breakfast is absolutely killer so that's that would be my go to choice if there's a cafe
Brazil around me at three o'clock in the morning and I'm wanting pancakes and sausage
That's where I'm going to go. Oh my god slush it's you go
