AIG the LA the stadium down in the new kind of relaunched kind of a
different field down by the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles that
stadium development hasn't been approved which means we are we're going
forward with building a stadium it doesn't have a tenant right next to the
Staples Center yes it doesn't have a tenant but there will be a football
stadium another owner here that's kind of nameless kind of shady he is
also saying that he is going to build a stadium in the city of industry which
is a suburb right right are we gonna try to do Raiders Rams again are we
gonna try to lure two teams they're not getting two teams you're already gonna
have three basketball team you've got two baseball teams and a hockey team it's
just it's one of those deals the city's not the city is saying that they're
not gonna hold the land to what AEGs want the city of L.A. to do is they're
wanting to lease this land and if they don't get the team for them to hold the
land till 2021 city of L.A. went no way if you don't get the stadium we're not
gonna hold the the land the name of this state there alone L.A. live is what
they're calling this pseudo you know what let me get real local on here okay
Fort Worth Stockyard deep Elham Greenville Avenue uptown that's kind of what
this is what you know what you know for those of you that don't know who AEG is
they are a concert promotion company they run what here is known as the
Verizon Theater and L.A. is known as the Nokia Theater which just happens to
also be next door to the Staples Center but then a warehouse magnet Ed
Roskey has permits in place like I said to build a separate 75,000 seat stadium
which it cannot host a Super Bowl correct about 15 miles east of Los Angeles
in the city of industry cannot host a Super Bowl that you have a hundred
thousand seats series here who would jump who's gone well you know my Jacksonville's
first Jacksonville's first I think San Diego's very real no way San Diego can take
the name with them because they worthy Los Angeles Chargers back in the old ASL
San Diego kids not gonna lose the Super Chargers I don't know man I just there's

trying to do a state lottery they're trying to hold on to that team with all

totals this weekend hope you're sitting down number two at the box office this
weekend was screened for with nineteen point three million dollars not a bad
showing no it's respectable until you look at your number one at the box
office again animated feature reo pulling in forty million dollars that's
a double what everybody thought was a gangbuster numbers being screened
those movies just I don't I don't even know if the like this concept to me is
kind of hokey but it works and it makes money those movies seem to make a lot
of money well here's here is my theory because I have a theory you know me I'm
a theorist you think about it who is going to see screen for teeny teenagers
young adults people maybe maybe our age at reo you're gonna get them plus the
kids so you're automatically doubling the numbers because parents aren't
mean I say this cautiously not that Rio you mean that's that better be on that
soundtrack you know I don't know it would have to be somebody else doing it but
you're not going to have a lot of parents taking their kids to screen for I'm
saying that with my tongue kind of planted in my cheek because I've been there
done that and seen it but you're gonna have a lot more parents taking their
kids to Rio so I think you're automatically doubling the numbers but still for
it to slaughter no pun intended screen for like it killed it that is ridiculous
all this next headline today yes we've talked a couple of weeks ago about your
next American pie movie being a reunion one of the people that they were
holding out for was one Chris Klein who played the big jock guy if you've ever
seen Street Fighter the legend of Chun Lee he kind of sort of acts in that if
you want if you want pure comedy watch that sometime I'm telling you it's
hilarious but he is now on board and what they were waiting on is he was finishing
up a step since it rehab isn't that's good point not me movie new releases
this coming week we talked about this a little a couple of weeks ago Robert
Pattinson from the Twilight saga and greasy greasy with her spoon star in
water for elephants this is a I have been told this is a very tight
tactic that's what I'm saying is this is this is the boat movie in a tent
that's how I'm classifying this movie and I saw the trailer and I was like
really is this is what you're going with and as of right now this movie has
not been screened for critics huh there's there it has an incomplete rating on
rotten tomatoes for those of you that don't know what rotten tomatoes is it is a
website where they take all of the reviews for a film put them together the ratio
of good to bad as a percentage and that percentage gives it a rating as you
know for you sir just when we didn't think Medea had anything left to do she's
having a she's one big happy family and Tyler Perry's Medea's big house family
as Chad creatures here's these words how many of she's like somewhere Eddie Murphy
going didn't I try this bit yeah this this Medea she's turning into almost
be like Jason Voorheek yeah Michael Myers she just won't go away but again not
being screened currently not does not have a rating on on rotten tomatoes
which I find a little strange also releasing this week have you heard anything
else about this next movie no that's funny palm the palm the juice palm
you know they are sponsoring the greatest movie ever sold this is the latest
movie from Morgan Spurlock if you remember who he is he's the guy who did
supersize me okay this is the same guy that we're basically he's trying to make a
movie completely sponsored by corporate entities and and and how he makes the
movie going to sponsors right now currently an 88% rating that good
on tomatoes 88% of the reviews are in or good cool so there's good for the
palm grinning I don't know if it's something I'd want to see yeah I mean I know
what corporate America likes to put their name on things and it's a lot of
product placement apparently Chad said he was on a
tack of the show tonight huh good show on g4 DVD and blue right new releases
this week I didn't could they they made when LeBron talked at night they made
up they're releasing that yes this is just this is this is about the what
did they call them the the decision the decision yes this would be I hate
him great this would be your Oscar winner for best picture yeah I don't know if
I want to see this or not I'm I'm curious I might if I don't have anything else
going on and it's on the shelf my local while I can't see my local blockbuster
because the only the closest one to me anywhere is but then it's five miles from
my house now instead of half a mile but I'd like to see it 95% on tomatoes
it's a bit winter for best picture I'm not I will rent the real version not

year by Stoops no Oklahoma he had a couple catches this spring game it was

2009 and compare them to photos from this spring it's a completely different
person jazz is getting in the doghouse I think going in the doghouse was good for
him from a performance standpoint because the dude ended up getting swole he
looks impressed I saw that I saw some pictures on him that they had that they had
on ribos of different sites speaking of that Roy Finch he's he's one that's
cut pretty well is he the one that we talked about when I went in it when you

guys like Roy Finch of course the freshman out of Brookshire Texas
Brandon Williams he looked a little lost out there to me Saturday I think
he's true freshman that he's gonna take in time to learn like physically he's

highly recruit of course him and Kenny Stills were kind of a package deal and
Jefferson Tony Jefferson when they came out of California it was kind of
weird because Clay was kind of once Finch got going and he got Murray going
Brennan Clay kind of became the forgotten guy well who are you gonna play are
you gonna play Finch over Demarco or are you gonna play play I mean are you gonna
play Clay over Demarco or are you gonna play Clay over Finch when he's
obviously the more explosive back oh he is and Clay is the more workhorse
Clay is the Chris Brown of this group of running yes moving on we did
what we covered Robert Severs coming back at the quarterback position we
touched on Landry a little bit is Drew Allen the clear number two quarterback a
very important position with things in college football things can happen is
Drew Allen the clear number two quarterback at OU this year oh it's
crystal clear it's Drew Allen large large gap Blake Bill Blake Bill the bank the
bank the hype on him did I miss something I thought for a guy that been in
the you know he did take some practice at the festival I was expecting a little
bit more out of him and then all of a sudden Saturday he got in there and at
times he he looked very lost Drew Allen looked like a guy that had been in the
system for two years I just I was hoping Blake Bill because I followed his
recruiting and under our game and all that on the deep bits of side of the
ball I mean man how good did Dallas Skyline product Cory Nelson look Saturday
we're to see him in Demarco seven but man at times he looked unblockable he was
amazing after he he is a wild man I do we do we compare him let's not let's
not hold him against Travis Lewis but I'm gonna throw some names of the past
maybe a guy that can with a little build can grow into a guy maybe a rocky
calmness tight linebacker quick off the edge maybe even a torrent's martial
tight player I would say torrent's martial would be a good comparison kind of
player he could become yes that's what I watched him of course when he saw
that number seven out there and it didn't say Murray on the back it was just
very strange to see that but yeah he looked at times like they're wanting to
kind of move him around I noticed that sometimes he'd be lined up as a true
end and then they put him in an outside linebacker than one set that that
Brent Venerable's drawout they had him in the middle so it looks like they're
kind of going to use him all over the field in and it kind of speaks to the
depth at the linebacker position to see not gonna start that's yeah you're
right he's not gonna start that's the sad thing but Bob Stoops as as Jess did
say in our chat room last week that Cory Nelson has been the most impressive
player on defense oh you this spring Tony Jefferson of course we know you
reported this I got this off you working out with Roy Williams how did that

now wow so is he with during the lockout during the lockout and during the
offseason he has a home in Edmund so he's right there cool I was glad to hear
that are we putting too much pressure on Tony as a sophomore or do you think he
can handle those type of comparisons because it looks like he's gonna be doing
that rover roll too I they drew up three blitzes in a row with Tony Tony
Jefferson coming around the corner Tony Jefferson's a 19 year old man who
listens to Justin Bieber I think he can handle the pressure he is he's a he's
gonna be he's one of those special guys he's got swag again just driver from

down to brass tax gentlemen yes what do you see from this team in the fall of
2011 I'm gonna start Jess you can chime in with me and he want to I think I
don't like to throw out 2011 national championship I don't want it because
things happen of course this is one of the most talented teams that I think Bob
Stoops especially on a the weapons at the wide receiver and running back
positions is sick the lines a year older they get another year of eligibility
of eligibility would be the right word say a more maturity defensively the
linebackers will be great if Jamel Fleming comes back that's even better if he
doesn't I think Demontrey Hurst can play that position I think right now they're
hands down to the best team in the big 12 for the big 10 when everyone to call
it is whatever this conference will be but also think this is a year that
anything less than the national title might might leave some taste in some
people's bad taste people's mouths we think Jess I agree most of that it's hard
to label a team national champ or bust because so much luck goes into winning
international championship well then what I mean what what are to you what are
realistic expectations for this team this year realistic expectations is the
big 12 champion with no more than one loss zero preferably I have a game
circled mentally the game to Tallahassee I know Florida State we got a lot of
people in the show that listen that are from the Florida area or have lived
there before the Florida State game man that that game makes me nervous knowing
it's probably going to be a primetime night game and I think Florida states one
of them teams that might might be turning the corner this year well I think it
will be true but I just like from big 12 expectations the national expectations
thank you first of all the the desire has to be to win the big 12 exactly
absolutely yeah because you can't get anywhere else you know I say the same
thing for Florida be competitive and win the conference yes so I think
just me and you're agreeing a hundred thousand percent on that that you don't
want to just throw it out well if it's on a national title it's it's it's
ridiculous but one thing that has shocked me with the height that seems to be
around Oklahoma this year to me the recruiting's been a little slow I we'll
have four could only have four commitments a rumor coming out last week that
Oklahoma would only be giving about 15 scholarships out this year is that
something go ahead very true it's it's we have four verbals to from Oklahoma to
from Texas right now we're only going to be taking the low end is 12 the high
end is pushing 18 so it's gonna be a very slow year for recruiting is I know
everybody knows Derell Derell the receiver out yes out of Missouri he's
there's a his top five they're saying Oklahoma Arkansas Notre Dame and two to
be determined how how do you think we get that kid I want that's a guy that I
need to see in the Crimson McCream I would say we were on the Merle if I would
have to play some percentages with it I say we got probably a 60% shot at
him comparison to the other four games because the way I've heard it the three
teams for Derell are OU Arkansas and A&E of Wow huh hmm well I had to make that
choice for me that's an easy one but I mean I'm not you know I think well
Arkansas I still think no matter who you are playing the SEC means something
Rob you're a Florida fan absolutely I think in the Arkansas being the SEC I
think that still holds some weight with that being said another thing that I've
noticed you've noticed what's with all the dang championship rings being passed
out in the big 12 and we had a conversation in this on Twitter just one day
afternoon but Jess you posted was it you that posted the picture of the
Mizzou rings for winning the big 12 North yes I posted all of this and then my
my reaction was if you're gonna give him rings and they should all be cubic
circonious because if you don't win you don't get real stone and then he also
posted the real ring and it's sharp it's good but there's no we always
poke fun of course Oki State got one and A&M got one and if you don't live in
Texas they're kind of the equivalent longhorn fans look at A&M like we do
Oklahoma State and it's funny that they that they got a ring and had the
nerve to put big 12 South champion on it I just is this is the ring thing getting
a little out of control it's why don't they just why doesn't the big 12 just
hang out and out participation at the end of the season and that's something I
brought up the other day when I was a kid and I played little league there was
five teams in a league we were fourth and we got a little any bitty trophies but
that was it I mean but it's different from when you're seven to when you're a
grown man exactly when if you win something that's worth having a ring and
have a ring the reality is those big 12 rings they're recruiting tools exactly
that's those for those coaches they can go into a recruit house and flash a
diamond and gold ring and say come play for me son we'll run win rings very did
for years shoe box full rings okay he's got a minute and table in the living

why do you think that is Jess with the spring game that we haven't had the
following a lot of these other teams do it's not in our nature to pay
ten bucks to watching exhibition or cheap but see I'm the same way spring game
means nothing to me if I watch it anywhere I'm gonna watch it on TV I kind of

expecting more I went last year when it was cold and rainy there might have been

reports their spring game attendance Baylor 3500 fans that almost sold

even North Carolina 155 for their spring game
Mizzou's 10,000 even Iowa State 4th out huh then we go to the Bulldogs had a

and you're doing a campus visit don't go in a locker room and steal $1,300

know Oklahoma City got one up on on Denver as well L.A. was a bigger shocker
coming out of losing to the New Orleans Hornets were Chris Paul could there have
been more fingers pointed around that locker room in house game and also of course
you San Antonio upset by Memphis which we I predicted on this show I didn't say
Memphis would win this don't think San Antonio is gonna sashay out there and
sweep them in the Western Conference gentlemen are we seeing with the
surgeons of a team like Oklahoma City maybe a team like maybe a Denver now
if they got rid of Carmillo San Antonio's older Dallas Dallas I'm sorry Dallas
cannot win a title in the present day the way they're built I've said it
leadership no heart Portland looks like they're gonna be a
continued down the road are we gonna see a changing of the guard in the Western
Conference not this year I might be looking two years down the road that's true

then just if we haven't seen this match enough we had Orton versus CM Punk again which I thought
it was very strange and it just didn't make a whole lot of sense well there was no buildup
within the show it was just his has happened later yeah when I talked to you last night I asked to
from Vince two things I don't mind the idea of them two fighting let me know where we're going
yeah I'll get in the car and I'll ride but where are we going yeah and there's no belts
there's no belts between them there's not even a number one contendership there's nothing
on the line it's a crutch it's crutch match that's right I am on board a question from the chat room

Rob you don't leave the house much I do I really do sometimes number 10 just taking like we're
talking take it in a sporting event yeah I need to get out to the ballpark man we need to get
out yeah I need to get out there I usually go two times a year and I have not made that that
on the jazz of yet I want to let the new wear off if we get just come down for a visit well I'll go
yeah I don't I didn't let the new wear off the the pennant there I've always said don't care who
they play don't care if they win or lose just like I can't say that I like the ballpark I have
seen them play the Indians and the Marinor another I've seen it play my brain A's the angels I've
seen those suspects so much that I like to go the interleaks on play the Dodgers the Cubs I like
to kind of mix up a little bit number nine road tripping we went up to Norman last year yes we
have burned in the mid not oil brother we did it had a good time didn't we yeah you give me my
iPod and my car and it's on yeah that's a fun trip I I've got limits really with the drive
what's what you limit on that Houston from Dallas to Houston that's a boring drive and from Dallas
to Branson Missouri you you figured out how to get it it you figured out how to get Branson
Missouri back in the shell congratulations but uh yeah I saw the the mats the mats and the
braves this year in ballpark and only two um or we go to it or do they go they go to turn or
feel the Marowans come here I know the mats come here yeah the Marowans come here so but the
braves do not also number eight number says one number eight really yes when I was a kid
my mom had a company picnic every year sac race did the sac race won the sac race thank you won
the three legged race thank you where's all these metal versus participation now I will say
this and as much as I enjoyed the company picnic first girl to ever turn me down for a date
was for the company picnic y'all were you went to a date of the company I think I was 11 it was
the sixth girl it was the first girl I ever got turned down by had a had a had a get her hair done
hair looked exactly the same Monday as it did Friday close her name Ashley Ashley what it's in my
sixth grade you're Ashley if you're listening tonight that was very mean okay Branson but the
Branson here we go the Branson's in the chat room I think that movie yet no I have done go see
she's out of my league please go run it on the way home so number seven big fan more if I was
younger than I am now but the water park I'll tell you what I went that the water park to me can
be a good thing or it can be a total absolute rip off we went down to that Schlitterbond you see
a Slitterbond on my left I would love to go I'll float the river sit that that's not water I'm the
other way yeah exactly well what's the river the river everything everything peas in the river
I'll get a I just put it on a raft and I'll float the glide but I don't know about the water park
wide I love the water park the big straight down slide they've got one in Houston where you
literally stand and it drops you in out you know John remembers when we were kids six flags at
lannis and how he would Florida then became the lannis that's what the big submarine was out front
oh yes we ours was multicolored yeah but they had like this whole thing that was like 90 just hot
tubs and you just are hot springs you just sit there it was great huh big fan of the water park
wow number six concerts deaf leopard and heart come up in July still in the concerts just I need
my concert in a different thing let's see we've got the starplex great place to see a show
outdoors see Nick go back there twice sit a bunch of shows out there saw Aerosmith and crew
on a very very very cold night I was out about number five watching fireworks I don't care how old
you get watching fireworks it's just in this year you know we remember we fought July the weather
was so bad here last year we didn't have a lot of the fireworks shows because the weather just
got so bad in this year you'll probably have the burned bands well all over the state if the
wildfires depending on timing I could be watching fireworks on the beach again this year
great Bismarkey he just can't hear the music because I don't have the music pumping in through the
tone yeah this one's kind of something I've never been apart I was gonna say you probably
haven't just have you ever been out on a block party oh yeah I'm from a small town we do that
we did that twice a year is there very little things more fun than than a block party which is number
four on the list everybody shuts everything down you literally block the streetoff and everybody
on your block gets together and now it's kind of like a potluck thing and you've got music playing
and people dancing and dancing see my block party's kind of a bunch of neighborhood guys getting
in the garage on a tailgate and bringing the natty out I'm counting I'm counting I'm counting
I'm counting we're counting natty we're good but it's it's the same thing I mean you're just
getting a bunch of people together on the street yeah it's like just it's grown up in a small town
you just do neighborhood parties too there's not enough of those anymore in my opinion this is
something I like to do number three of my my top 10 outdoor activities just sitting around just
chilling yeah maybe maybe the the big green eggs fired up maybe the the grill over here's
filed up and just sitting on the back porch yeah you can't take thrown darts throwing darts
I want a dark guy I'm I'm three and oh I can't do the champion right do you want to get me get
get on the dart board you win every time number two this is probably your number one oh yeah
absolutely but number two is firing up the barbecue I'm going to tell you something my friend
some of my favorite memories in the last 14 15 years have been in some form whether it's my back patio
your back patio your back yard firing up the grill and get done exactly a lot of you know what's
bad a lot of people just don't cook and just don't do that anymore so and it's so much fun especially
once you get it done this last one you haven't done this in a while I have not but it's still my
favorite thing to do outdoors but living in Texas and just Oklahoma you probably have the same
problem your window for this is very very narrow we're in the middle of it right now yeah I've
played once and that would be golf you were with me you you've been in the golf course with me
on some couple of wheels off oh yes I don't hear a miss but I hate I'm terrible at it
but I love to play yeah and you played by we just use one out there and played nine holes by
yourself I'll do that I've got no problem with that remember that I hit a ball that was so
with so far to the right the church next door hit their fire alarm when it happened I don't
know if they did it on purpose but I'm taking credit and the one that skipped a lot like golf
my love the driving range oh yeah it's so much fun I think I'm I love to hit the ball I just
I played once this year and did a little better than I did last year I'm kind of new to the game um
but that's the list that's the list that's a good point back to me back to you for next week
