The following is a sooner-or-gator production.
Noice, noice, noice, noice, noice.
Good morning!
Boop!
Joe, stop. Are you ready for the jam?
I said are you ready for the jam?
Yo, jeep.
Kick it.
Drums, please!
Keep it going, uh.
Keep it going, uh.
Terry!
Wait!
Bam!
Yes!
Hey y'all, I'm bringing heat.
Bees to know how tough it's every week.
It is Saturday night.
It is 7-12, it's central time, which means it is 8-12 on the East Coast.
Means it is 5-12 on the West Coast.
West Coast, West Coast.
I think that's what they call it.
The kids these days are calling it.
It is the 28th of April in the year of our Lord 2012.
It is season two, episode 41 of the Clubhouse is live on the air.
Apologize for running a little bit late here at the studio.
Uh, had a late breaking plumbing issue that we're having handled.
So, but we've got that under control now.
The lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin is on the case.
Getting that taken care of for us.
I am Rob.
Joining me each and every week as he does across the desk.
He is Chad.
Good evening, sir.
And they find good evening to you as well, sir.
Big weekend for you.
Big week for me.
I know.
Eating up to this.
We're going to talk about that here in a little while, though.
That's also a big lot going on this weekend.
It is pay-per-view weekend.
Hey, we got a, we got a pretty big plate in front of us.
Not only is it pay-per-view weekend, it is the last Saturday of the month,
which means it is time for chicken studio.
Joining us as the description of this episode will tell you,
she is the innovator of chicken studio.
She is Sharla.
Good to have you back in, huh?
Thank you.
Justin Timberlake of the Clubhouse.
Jeez.
Well, no, but what I mean by that is all she, like,
if she's not doing something on a Saturday,
all she has to do is call me and say, hey, Rob,
come maybe on the show.
And she's there.
I thought she was bringing sexy back or something.
It never left.
My sexy never left.
And I thought it meant like I didn't bathe,
because it looks like Justin Timberlake doesn't bathe.
No, you see, the thing with Timberlake is,
he could call Saturday Night Live like if they,
they're not doing an episode tonight.
But if they were, he could call them like right now and say,
hey, I'm in town and they'll say, come and do whatever you want.
Like, literally, he has that open-ended deal with SNL.
I don't doubt it.
I mean, he, I think he alone has brought them like,
four Emmys in the last decade.
He's gold.
He's one of the few things that makes that show work still.
Deanna Box.
Emmy Award winning.
Give me a second.
Just like that.
That got an Emmy.
I just, given the content that got an Emmy.
Merka.
Let us start each and every week like we do with corrections.
We have one from last week.
We talked about this like not too long after.
But, and you know what?
I didn't catch this live.
You're, by the way, your lovely wife,
who's a British descendant has joined us.
Hi, sweetheart.
Thank you for letting me borrow your husband today,
Jules.
We got some, we got some very important things done today.
Yes.
So, Cliff was on the show last week.
Friend of the show, always a pleasure to have on.
Friend of Charles as well.
We were talking about Larry Brown being a summer camp counselor
for Tony Cornheiser.
And Chad said, maybe he's the Jason,
because he can't be killed.
And Cliff said something about him being Michael Moore.
No, Michael Myers, my friend.
Michael Moore's the guy that did Roger and me.
He's not doing fully qualified.
Very odd situation.
I also had a little bit of an audio technical problem last
week, because I was listening back.
And I'm going to apologize.
I got a little,
this story because I had some of the recording levels
up a little higher than I should have.
That's my fault.
So, no problem.
That's just on the archive.
Yeah.
Well, how did it sound live?
It sounded fine.
It did must have been just through Audacity then.
By the way, we do use Audacity to record the show
to put on so you can get it through iTunes
and on your portable device.
Again, if you're listening live,
if you're listening on the archive,
or if you're listening on your portable device,
we thank you each and individual.
And we're going to plug for Audacity while we're at it.
Hey, it's freeware.
And Audacity, I'm going to say something.
Audacity is a great program.
And not just because it's what we use for the show,
it's a great recording software program.
We use it for the band.
Yeah, for those of you who don't know what it is,
it's basically Photoshop for audio.
Pretty much. It's greatness.
Speaking of the band,
I'm not saying.
But allegedly,
there may be a colored logo coming,
a colored in logo.
Good, good, good, good.
Got a couple of different options we're looking at.
Very excited.
I will not be on the show the next two weeks
for band reasons.
Next weekend, we're going to
do three prisons just south west of Houston
in Rocharen.
That's what they call that area.
And we're going to be playing a two-day revival,
which is going to be great.
And then the Saturday after that,
we're going down to the
Michael's prison,
which I can't remember the name of the city.
The last time when we ran really late,
yeah, that's where we were.
Oh, okay.
And we're doing a thing called day on the slab there.
It's going to be like an all day affair.
And so
we might try to Skype it next week
if we can pull it off.
I just don't know what the schedule is going to be.
So we'll have to find out,
because Sharma said she's busy the next couple of weeks.
So I'm going to prom.
It's true.
I'm sorry.
It's true.
Is Cody going with you?
No, he guys go to work, please.
That would be awesome, though.
No, he needs to go make some money.
So we're going to the next couple of weeks,
we may be
winging in a little bit.
So just a little bit with us.
Just bear with us.
You can do this, sir.
You know how to do this.
Yeah, but we'll talk about working with that in net.
But isn't that what this show truly is?
Isn't that what the in America?
This is all I'm saying.
This is like early programming on ESPN2,
working with that in net.
The divertated might ESPN2 wrestling story.
I was watching ESPN2,
I always spent classical one night.
And they were showing some old AWA footage.
Yeah, you got my touch in the story, Sharma?
No.
I was watching some old AWA footage on a Friday night.
And it was from an ESPN2 was just starting out
and they had that real wheels off,
like extreme logo.
Guess who one of the commentators was for AWA wrestling?
Ralph Strangis.
Does the play-by-play for the Dallas stars?
And I was like, well, it makes sense.
I mean, where did the stars come from?
Mini store.
And where was the AWA based out of?
Mini store.
Miniapolis.
So it was kind of cool.
MPL, it suits in a mother house.
Let's start with a little last car.
I cannot wait in this segment
until we get to the point
where we talk about tomorrow's race.
Because I saw the name of tomorrow's race and I went,
okay, we'll get to it.
Last week, we had the STP 400 and again for the kids with the clothes
and the hair that is not stone temple.
Pilots?
That would be cool.
Scott Wyland's out there, just shredding it right in the middle of the infield.
The Bob, the other Bob Dylan of his generation,
besides Scott's staff, he just turned into an Indian trying to conjure up a raid.
I was wondering why it's wearing those feathers.
Look, what I did in college is my own business.
Okay, it's all I'm telling you.
You're doing it now.
Maybe it's just the 20th anniversary of the end of the 1st year of college, okay?
Which actually is coming next month.
Yeah, they get acid flashback.
Your top 10 finishers from the STP 400 are as follows.
Number 10 in the number 18 M&M's Toyota Kyle Busch.
I wonder if that car ever gets overheats and melt.
Of course not, okay.
Not with a steering wheel in the sand, anyway.
Maybe he's chewing on the steering wheel, maybe.
Yeah, because the candy shell keeps it cool.
Your brain's got it.
All right.
Teen.
You're doing a raid with the...
Was that a liner in there?
A lot of people could catch seven years, yes, they're called doctors.
And number nine at the STP 400 in the number 99 Ford sponsored by...
That would be one Kyle Busch.
No, I'm sorry.
Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch giving 10.
In eighth place in the farmers insurance Chevrolet number five Casey Kane.
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
Number seven in the Diet Mountain Dude National Guard number 88 Chevrolet,
Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Another top 10 finish to do.
He's rolling.
He's rolling, sir.
He's going to continue to roll.
In sixth place in the number 29 Reem,
R-H-E-E-E-M, I guess.
It's not the people that make like vacunes and stuff.
AC units, I believe.
Okay.
That would be one Kevin Harbock.
In fifth place in the 3M Novak 1230, number 16 Ford,
great last week's winner Greg Biffle.
This next one's kind of weird.
In the number 17 fourth place, Ford EcoBoost Ford.
Okay.
Can we sidetrack on that for just a minute?
Shall I, we didn't tell you what we saw today?
We went to Coles.
Uh-huh.
We saw the very first local electric car charging station in front of Coles today.
That we've seen, that we've seen anyway.
Yep, it's first time we've seen.
Yeah, there may be more.
But we're like, what is that?
Oh my gosh.
I know there's one downtown, right?
Like you can see it.
Oh, not a mosquito in Dallas.
Yeah, it's right.
You can see it off where you go off 45 and 75.
It's like right there.
Oh, okay.
But that's the only way to do that.
That might be better?
Yes.
Oh wow.
And taking in the bronze medal in the Lowe's Chevrolet Mountain Green Chevrolet.
Number 48, five times, five times, five times, five times.
Spring come champion Jimmy Johnson.
The silver medal in the Napa Auto Parts number 56 Toyota Martin Truex Jr.
And winning the STP 400 in the FedEx ground number 11 Toyota Denny Hamlin.
Was it on LA law?
That would be Harry Hamlin.
Oh, I'm sorry.
So congratulations to Denny there.
Your split cup standings, if the playoffs started today,
your 12th spot would go up one spot to Joey Logano
in the 11th spot Clint Boyard drops a spot.
Ryan Newman in 10 drops a spot.
Carl Edwards up two to the ninth place spot.
Tony Stewart down one.
Or as we like to call him on this show.
He drops one to eight, five times, five times, five times,
spring card champion Jimmy Johnson up one to seven.
Kevin Harvick drops one to six.
Denny Hamlin switches places with him at five.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. drops a spot to number four.
He's still hanging in there.
Number three goes to Matt Kenseth.
Martin Truex Jr.
up two to the second spot.
Greg Bipple is still your leader.
15 points ahead of Martin Truex Jr.
This week's race taking place tomorrow.
Tonight it's a night race.
It's about to go down.
It's on right now.
Apparently the Richmond International Raceway
is the capital city 400 presented by Virginia is for lovers.
I'm not making this up.
You're serious.
It's right here on my screen, sir.
Virginia is for lovers.
The capital city 400 presented by Virginia is for lovers.
It's on your local fox affiliate.
Because when I think lovers,
I think I think Richmond International
Raceway is just funny.
But that is tonight on your local fox affiliate.
And then we are off until a week from tomorrow.
When we go to Talladega.
Pretty.
Tonight race is harder than day races.
Cody and I have actually talked about that.
It's, you, you, you definitely,
they have to use different windshields.
Because the windshields they use in the day races
are a little bit more of a tint.
So it doesn't.
But he says it's, it's more entertaining for the fans at night.
It's a little bit cooler at the track.
So it's a little bit cooler for the cars.
But it's with the lights.
It's just, he says it's more entertaining for the fans.
It's a fairly recent phenomenon, too.
There's a lot of tracks that have just recently put in lights
for this purpose.
So not, not Charlottes, Cody.
There's, we have two codis we talked about on the show.
There's Charlottes, Cody, and we have
friend of the show, Cody, who hosts Cody's playbook on Sundays.
Not much else going on in the world of NASCAR.
So we are going to go ahead and move on and do a little music news.
Because we are your one-stop shop.
For all things sports and entertainment every Saturday night,
eight on the East Coast, five on the West Coast.
Again, we thank every one of you individually for listening in.
We have a live chatroom going on.
If you are listening to the show live,
make sure you are a registered user and join our crowd right here on U-stream.
Which I'm trying to do right now.
That's what I've been over here trying to do.
Trying to log in.
It won't let me.
I got it.
I got to make sure.
Probably my favorite song of ours.
Maybe again.
Really?
I thought waterfalls was your favorite.
No, waterfalls beat me in the submission.
Because radio absolutely killed that song.
I'll say this is my favorite too.
Yeah.
Because I like the group to this.
The video is really cool.
I'm a big fan of the chili.
It's pretty girl.
And they're all like silky PJs in the video.
No, the subject matter of the song may be not so much.
But, although I do, I also like into private back.
They're very first single that they released.
And they covered a printstrag if I was your girlfriend on this album.
As a matter of fact, it was a good cover too.
They also did a cover of a time song too.
I can not confirm.
I think they did get it up.
But apparently the two thirds of TLC that are currently with us.
Because this week was the 10th anniversary of the death of left eye.
You can believe that.
They are going to do a reunion tour this summer.
And they are going to be doing the left eye hologram thing.
Oh, your lovely wife who was a British descend things.
Her mother is listening to the show from work.
Yes.
Yes.
Hello to Jules's mom if you are listening.
And if you are not, if you catch on the archive,
we're going to say it anyway.
I just don't know how I feel about this TLC thing.
I mean, now that the two-pock thing at Coachella has happened,
this is now the precedent.
Everybody's going to do this.
But is it the same?
It's not the same.
But again, if you're not the first,
you know, if you ain't Kelly Clarkson, unless you're the Carrie Underwood,
you know, if you're not Richard Hatch,
nobody remembers who wins Survivor.
Well, but technically two-pock wasn't the first either.
We already discussed that.
No, but I mean from a someone who is posthumous.
Because the Mariah Carey thing, she was a hologram in five cities at one time.
Oh, okay, okay.
But you brought up an interesting point that I want you to talk about,
because I forgot to get myself a tasty beverage.
When we were at Coles today, you mentioned something about
celebrities are doing something preventative in this category.
And I want you to talk about that for just a minute.
Yeah, yeah.
Apparently, some celebrities are looking into possibly putting a proviso in their will
that will prevent this from being done to them.
So they don't want the...
Yeah, they don't want them.
They have one safe passed on.
Yeah, they don't want this done to them.
What's the reasoning behind that?
I guess they don't want anybody to cash in on their name and likeness once they're gone.
Well, who does?
I mean, like, who got the money for two-pock?
I mean, like, who does that go to?
I mean, does his family get any back?
I'm sure.
I would assume that if there's any money made off of this,
then...
I mean, how do you get permission to do that?
I guess.
Did they have to ask for permission to...
I would imagine that Dres probably close enough with two-pock's family
that they probably asked him if this would be okay.
And they said, that'd be great.
I'm sure they're all on board with it.
But I mean, if they're looking to literally...
If the show can't go on without this person that's no longer with us in the room
and this is the only way to do it,
you know, that's the backbone of that tour,
then I'm sure that's probably what they're going to problem with.
Like, I'm fairly certain that whenever this Jackson's tour kicks off,
this unity tour, I think, is what they're calling it.
The Jackson tour?
Oh, yeah.
Like, the Jackson 5?
Yes.
As in the Jackson's that are left behind.
I'm fairly certain that if they don't work Michael's hologram into
Immortal, then they're going to work it into the unity tour that they're going to kick off with in the summer.
And they're supposedly playing here in Dallas at the Verizon.
The Jackson?
Yes.
Yeah, it's already on ticket master.
Yeah.
And from what I'm told, it is happening in Immortal.
Yeah.
Oh, it is happening in Immortal.
From what I've read, they are doing this for Immortal.
What's they get to Vegas?
What's the...
What's the road show ends?
Whatever it's done.
Whenever they get it done, that's what they're going to do.
Yeah.
I can't help but think that they're probably going to wait until they get that theater done in Vegas.
And that's where it takes up permanent residence.
That's where they're going to go.
Placing the Lion King, I believe.
Oh, are they?
I thought they were just going to build a theater specifically.
No, it's replacing...
I believe it's replacing the Lion King.
As long as that replace Beatles love.
No, god, no.
The place of the Elvis thing, yeah, I'm good with that.
But how far do you take that all that hologram stuff?
I mean, to where you're just having concerts with dead people?
Isn't that what mediums do?
I'm going to call that a...
The Sands is also known as being in concert with the dead.
No, as long as the families involved are okay with it.
And as long as it makes money, people are going to keep doing it.
And it's just going to cause these people that are creating these things that can
continue to up their game.
Although the two Pokemon look pretty darn good.
It did.
It was all original created from scratch material.
Which I still can't run.
Wait, the future, sir.
I still can't run.
I had around that because it looked just way too good.
It did.
It looked real.
It looked real.
I was just assuming that it was just filmed footage of Tupac himself that they just lifted it up.
When he showed it on TV, that's what I thought.
I was like, oh, that's footage from the past.
And then they're going to show the hologram to show how it.
And you're like, and I was like, oh god, I mean,
I read from the get-go that Dr. Drains Tupac were going to be performing
with a hologram of Tupac.
And Nate Dodd was supposed to be involved.
But I never heard anything else about it.
New music, new releases this week.
The favorite with the kids at the close in the hair,
B-O-B, releases...
No, it's actually B-O-B.
He did that airplane song with the chick from Paramore.
He's done a lot of collaboration stuff.
And apparently, by the way,
Wiz Khalifa busted for pot in Nashville.
From me, anybody surprised by this, to the shock of no one.
And what, the only thing you hear right now?
You can believe she won American Idol seven years ago.
Carrie Underwood releases her third album called Blown Away
this Tuesday in your local CD store.
Or digital download store.
Man, that's a pretty girl.
Still looks great.
And still the best-selling American Idol winner, right?
Her, she's right there neck and neck with the Kelly Clarkson.
But she was also the first one to break away from the pop thing.
Yeah, so to me, that's kind of a different kind of,
if you're not first, nobody remembers you.
Because she was the first one to break with from the pop thing.
So I kind of give her, give her a pass on that.
Marilyn Manson releases Born Villain this week.
He says this album was the most liberating experience
he's ever had in the industry.
Probably because somebody let him do another album.
And then, you know, we gotta, we gotta play this next song.
You talk about a pretty girl, but grow the hair back out.
And a local.
Yeah, she did a movie a couple years ago.
She's kept it that she's got that real pixie short
that Michelle Williams short doesn't work for her.
Local girl, Booker T. Washington High School,
North Texas State University.
This was also the first dance at the wedding of myself
and the lovely and talented.
I remember that well.
Actually, the lyrics for it are right behind me in the studio
that she painted for me.
And at one point, I'm a little bit of water gone on.
Because she didn't, it wasn't covered by the glass.
But dog on it, we'll sit here for the rest of eternity.
Nora Jones releases Little Broken Hearts this Tuesday.
I really, she's just got that really cool vibe.
And yeah, love her.
Like Mikey got me into her music.
And didn't, didn't we send this, this show that
heard her father?
Ravi Shankar is her dad, huh?
Okay.
Pennywise going back to the other end of the spectrum,
releases all or nothing.
Charlotte, do you know where the name of this album comes from?
No, the clown from it.
Yep, it's called Pennywise.
Yes, that's creepy.
And Indy darling Rufus Wayne Wright releases
out of the game this week.
Sounds like a director to me.
Oh, that's Rufus Wayne Wright, right?
That's yeah, different person.
That's why it sounds like a director.
You sir, are strange.
No, I'm just stating the obvious.
I think we're all a little strange in this room.
Yes, it's kind of a...
A criteria to be in this room.
A prerequisite to be on this show.
There he goes off the court.
You can't, what are we going to talk about that here in a minute?
Um, that's what I'm looking for.
You go right there.
All right, that's going to do it for a movie talk,
or a music talk.
Not a lot going on this week in the music world, really.
Movies a different story.
Yeah, we'll get to that.
Movies is a whole different ball of wax.
We are going to do a little bit of MMA talk right now.
June 1st.
You're here on the center.
It's going to be a good show.
Nickelback, a bush, cedar, and my darkest days.
Ah, ladies, good show.
You better bring earplugs.
Great song, nice.
You guys have in a moment.
Rashad Evans, John Jones last week for the title,
goes the distance.
Apparently, Rashad, I mean, we were on the air
when the paper view was on.
Cliff and Montel left straight from here and went to watch the fight.
I was following it on Twitter.
And, uh, apparently, Rashad said his ground.
I mean, it went the distance.
But John Jones wins unanimous decision.
Just, it looked like it was a great, great fight.
A lot of people said, you know,
John's just, he's too much, man.
It's a bad man, yeah.
So congratulations to him.
Also, I don't know if I want to say congratulations,
or really, Bellator Middleweight champ Hector Lombard
signs with the USC.
Let me reiterate that.
Bellator Middleweight champion.
Current.
Yes.
Middleweight champion.
Yes.
He has eight, no, in Bellator.
So obviously, he hasn't lost the belt.
He's 24, oh, and one in his last 25 fights.
There were rumors of this.
He verified it on Twitter.
I believe late on Friday.
So what happens there if he has the belt?
I want him to walk in with it, pull a flare
to see coming to drop it in a trash can like Medusa.
Awesome.
Check Congo versus Antonio Rodriguez Noghara.
We'll be added to UFC 149.
It's going to be a good fight.
And the one after that UFC 150.
If you can believe we are approaching UFC 150.
That's crazy.
I remember UFC 100 was two, three years ago.
I was on a, I was on a trip for my job at the time,
and I just wanted to go have dinner.
And like hooters, their parking lot was full.
And like the next two people with them
was all their overflow for UFC 100.
I think that's where UFC 10 was.
That's the one I've got on video cassettes.
Oh, you have to see 10.
Yeah, ultimate, ultimate, ultimate.
Yeah, wow.
Before they had numbers, really.
Yeah.
I mean, I remember the first one was in the same place
where UFC 150 will be in Denver, Colorado.
August the 11th.
Yeah, there's a part of that.
That's a semaphore entertainment group.
Remember that whole thing?
Yeah, yeah.
That wasn't there was no weight classes.
Yeah, just real wheels off.
Ninjas versus wrestlers.
Gosh, it was nuts.
Last night's ultimate fighter live update.
On a split decision, Chris Saunders defeats Sam Cecilia
in a great fight.
It was good.
This, this season's been really good.
My only problem with this season of the ultimate fighter,
and I've said this on this show before, is.
It's because they're doing live and the pre-taped parts
of it are the stuff that's happened since the last fight,
it seems like they're just kind of throwing it together.
And you don't really get enough time
to really tell a story of what's going on in the house.
Ronda Rousey showed up to help out a dominant cruisers team.
It felt like a brand new women's champion in strike force.
I don't know why Dana won't do a women's division in UFC.
It's the same company.
How many women are there really actively fighting in this thing?
You've got at least a handful.
And people, I mean, part of it was there was a survey
and 75% of the people surveyed said they wouldn't watch it
if it was the women were in the main event.
But when the women fight, it's all anybody talks about.
Yeah.
So, and I watched that round around to Rousey.
Meisha Tate fight.
I'm going to tell you something, brother.
Look that up when you get home.
See if you can find like on demand or.
When they talk about it, is it a positive talk?
Or is it a positive talk?
Or is it a positive talk?
Or is it a negative talk?
All the talk I ever hear is positive.
Like, I wouldn't cross these chicks.
I mean, when Meisha Tate, now,
I'm going to talk about Ronda Rousey for just a second.
Ronda Rousey is now 5-0 in strike force.
She is now the women's champion, okay?
All five fights, she has won by submission with an arm bar.
Meisha Tate said specifically, I am training on defense against the arm bar.
The arm bar still got her.
Now, it took her, it took Ronda Rousey the second time blocking it in.
And she dislocated Meisha Tate's elbow.
Yeah, it was gross.
Yeah, I saw that headline, but I didn't want to tell it kind of bad woman, dude.
But I just think Dan, you should do it.
Why not?
But then we had the last court, the last of the qualifying fights of the eight will be next week.
And that will be Andy Ogle versus Mike Rio.
Andy Ogle four team, Faber, who now has a one fight advantage.
It's 4-3.
I'm about to say something's got to give here at some point.
That finale is coming up in June.
I'm looking forward to that cruise Faber fight though.
That's going to be a good one.
I like your eye Faber.
I just can't get used to him post haircut.
It still freaks me out.
Because he used to have the corn rows.
And then he kind of let those out and so his hair is kind of bushy and then it was all gone.
I really do like Rio Rock Faber.
Who is the guy that I'm such a fan of that looks like a wild man that always burps on camera?
You.
Are you talking about Clay Gita?
The real wheels off like a caveman looking guy that's got the fang thing on a garage guard.
And every time he's ever had a fight because I put it after you started.
Clay Gita, who do that is?
I pointed out to you, Charlotte, when we were watching one up at the city one time.
I said, watch, he'll burp.
At some point, they'll have the mic in his corner and he always does.
You are listening to the clubhouse live every Saturday night at eight o'clock on the east coast,
five o'clock on the west coast.
Join us tomorrow night.
Tomorrow.
Fox in town, Richardson, Texas, WWE,
something that resembles extreme rules.
Be there.
We're going to be on the air at six o'clock.
Paperview starts at seven o'clock central.
Three dollars will get you in the door.
Great food and drink specials.
You know the usual suspects will be there.
We hope that the lovely and talented Charlotte will be there as well.
I have fifty dollars if anybody wants to write my paper for me.
Charlotte, I will not allow you to cheat.
Not really cheat.
Yes, it is.
Take that fifty bucks, bring it to Fox and Hound when you finish your paper and eat well.
Okay.
Okay.
Sometimes I have to get on my little sister because I want her to better herself.
Just write it on your tablet while you're there.
Central and Campbell take central to Campbell.
Go west on Campbell about a block and a half where we'll be right behind the McDonald's.
Looking forward to great times.
It feels like it's been a lot more than four weeks since we did this.
Part of it does in a part of this is wow, what we're just there like a week ago.
But I don't I feel like it's been forever in a day.
Well, it's always it's always a high point for me.
Always just it is it's such good times.
Yeah, it really, really is.
By the way, if anybody knows.
I don't know maybe if I have to get an app for this or not a way that I can use my iPhone.
It does a high speed modem.
I'm told there's a way to do it because I think I may do that if the Wi-Fi is not working tomorrow night.
I think you might have to get a phone upgrade and make it part of your plan.
Really?
I think you I think you I think they can make that happen at the AT&T store.
Let's talk to them.
I don't think I have time tomorrow, but I'll call and find out.
I think it's an app thing.
I think it's something that you actually have to add to your service plan.
Not adding any more money to my service.
Yeah, I know.
I pay them fools enough.
Yeah, I think it ain't cheap.
Let us move on and do a little bit of NHL talk.
AT&T makes so much money.
So much money off us.
You do indeed.
I probably pay them at least $500 a month.
God almighty.
Oh, between all of your services.
All of my services at least $500.
Let me take a look.
I'm actually probably close to $3.350.
For phone internet and television and cell phone.
Right.
Because I have home phone too because I have to because of my house alarm.
Oh, yeah.
Wow, what's going on here?
I think the love in Townsend, Mrs. Irvin is probably running the microwave.
Oh, okay.
You always forget this.
I have a wireless transmitter that takes the whatever's on TV in the living room and puts it on the TV in the studio.
And since it's wireless, you can get interference.
And I think that's what's going on.
I always forget about that.
That if the microwave freaks it out.
What is she cooking?
Well, let's talk about what's going on in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Kinecks, black hawks and penguins are out of it.
Cannot believe it.
It is the first time since 1987 that the coyotes have won a playoff series beating Chicago.
And that was when they were originally the original Winnipeg Jets.
They've been to the playoffs.
It's their third year straight getting there, but they've lost in the last few years.
They've lost in the first round.
Just so weird seeing.
But I'm telling you, apparently an eight seed beating a one season Stanley Cup playoffs is not that unusual.
It's happened like 28 times or something.
Just with the way that their system is structured.
It does surprise me at all.
The coyotes last night beat Nashville in overtime.
They now have a 1-0 series lead on them.
God.
I'm trying to figure out what happened with my, uh...
Oh, and the devil's beat my beloved Florida Panthers.
So they're out of it as well.
And the Rangers beat Otter-Wall win that series.
So the...
So right now, today you have the Rangers beating Washington.
So the Obedchkins made it to the second round of the playoffs.
And St. Louis and Los Angeles currently tied 1-1 in the second period.
Oh, and by the way, the coyotes since 2009 conflict of interest as they are owned by the league.
Really?
Yeah.
How did that get past us?
Well, because since 2009, I don't think anybody cares anymore.
I think part of it was the fallout from the Wayne Gretzky gambling thing.
Oh, okay.
Thinking that that played a role in it.
So let us get into movie news because we've got plenty of it.
By the way, like us on Facebook.
Look up the Clubhouse Podcast.
Please put the word podcast on the end of it.
You can follow us on Twitter at ClubhouseShow.
I am, yes, that...
I'm at, yes, that Rob Irvin.
I am at ChadNVG69.
Charlotte Parker on Pinterest.
What's the Pinterest thing going?
Uh, it's getting full.
That's like, oh, the other day they sent me like this email saying you reached your maximum limit.
And I was like...
Of people to invite?
No, of like...
Oh.
Post like pins that I could do.
And I was like, what the heck does that mean?
But then they sent like this email out saying, oh, just kidding.
And I was like, don't play that with me.
Is it an April Fool's joke or something?
I have no idea.
They apparently like a lot of people got it first when Pinterest started.
And they were like, we don't really mean to send this out.
Are bad.
I'm like, okay, well, don't toy with me.
That's the Illuminati just keeping you in check.
It's what's going on.
They're in charge of everything.
Your box office totals again, last week's box office totals are old.
So we are going to give you the latest as of last night.
We are going to say goodbye to the following films leaving the top 10 this week.
You ready?
Out of the top 10 this week, lock out.
Wrath of the Titans, Mirror Mirror, 21 Jump Street and American Reunion.
Wow.
So we got a lot of stuff in the top 10 this week.
Although number 10 we wish we'd leave the top 10 about three weeks ago.
Making $1.3 million on Friday night for a 15 day total of $33 million for the three stuages.
Please go away.
Number 9, another $1.42 million for a 15 day total of $31.6 million for the cabin in the woods.
So how do you have any interest in this?
Is that the one where it's like people have plotted this cabin and they go...
Careful.
Don't want to give too much away.
I've read no spoilers on this.
Apparently there's a ton of spoilers out there.
There's like a lot of...
Oh well, I mean, I'm just going off the preview I saw and like these people find this cabin in the woods.
And like people are like behind the scenes and they have all these things set up for them.
That's like a big brother kind of thing.
But yeah, they're just trying to...
I don't really know the purpose, like why they're doing it.
But it's just...
You hear people in the back going, you know, make it happen or, you know, close the door.
Turn off the lights.
Jules said she would die if they gave her a living on Pinterest.
Because that's all she does is pinstack.
That's what I do too.
All day.
That's the first thing I do when I wake up.
You've created a monster with her.
Number 8 for another $1.6 million for an 8 day total of $15.3 million for the Disney Nature film chimpanzee.
So congratulations to them on that.
Yeah, I wish you would make a lot more money because it's going to do a good cause.
What's the cause chimpanzees?
Just wildlife preservation.
I just love the Disney Nature logo.
How it's like the castle, but it's in a rock.
Yeah, in a rock formation.
Yeah, all the Disney nature movies are contributing to whatever the subject matter of that movie is about.
Number 7.
That's nice.
Opening on Friday, getting $2.52 million for the John QSAC vehicle, the Raven.
I've already had a couple of friends on my post on their Facebook pages that they've seen this and really liked it.
Really?
Yes.
I just didn't know how I wanted him in that movie.
I've heard he's great.
And the very, I did not know the very hot Alice Eve is in that film from she's out of my league.
Wow, she's busy because she's going to be a minute black three.
That's a good look girl.
And she's Australian, which makes it even better.
There's something about that accent.
Just that's cryptic.
Superman with me.
Number 6.
$2.6 million for an opening day.
For the...
Is it the Jason Statham safe?
Yes.
Yes.
Number 5, making $2.75 million on its opening day, the Pirates Band of Misfits.
Which is hysterical.
Anything on this?
Well, it's the little claymation thing with the Pirates by the people that did Walls and Gromit.
Gromit, as I thought.
I just realized what this was.
Coolness.
It's actually going to be the next story.
Yeah.
I got a figure.
Sean.
Number 4.
It's just under $3 million for a 36 day total of $364.175 million, Charlotte.
Hunger game.
There you go.
Now, but they are now saying that Mocking J is going to be two films.
How do you feel about that?
I don't know how I like that.
Was Mocking J that big of a book that you could break it into two or...
I don't think Mocking J like...
Took off.
Like, I mean, it just...
You start it and it's gone.
It's kind of like...
Like Blade 2 was.
It was like, we don't have to tell you what's going on here.
It just takes off.
So, I don't like them doing this.
I don't like the fact.
I don't like the fact that they keep breaking up these...
Well, like the Harry Potter thing I got, because you could kill a Mule with that book.
It's so thick.
As long as they don't do this with Gromit, who kicked a hornet's nest.
Because all those books are about the same size.
And yes, I still haven't seen it.
How many told me not to see the movie?
Because they just said that I would not...
Well, see, I've had people tell me I'd love the movie,
but I've also had people tell me if you didn't like the Swedish version,
you're going to hate this version.
No, they're not.
They're telling me to not watch the movie because I'm not going to be able to deal with some of the...
Materials.
They can't out-imagine my imagination.
That's my view on it.
Because I have a very vivid imagination.
So, I don't think that there's anything that the film can do that would disturb me.
As long as they stick to the source material.
Well, if they stick to the source material, I know it's coming.
So, on that level, you know, but how faithfully do they stick to the source material?
Because I've heard it's more faithful than the Swedish version.
Because the Swedish version took way too many liberties.
Because I mean, I heard the exact same thing about it.
Because I read, like, for an example, American Psycho.
And there's no way they could have put that on screen,
without making it an X-rated film practically.
Love that part.
We got that.
Somebody's watching me vocal in the background.
Yeah.
Number three.
Opening on Friday with for $3.5 million.
The five-year engagement.
This has the Jason Siegel in it.
And the Appetite involvement.
Yeah, but I just blanked in the female lead.
Yeah, I was going to ask who that was.
Because she looks so phenomenal.
It's somebody we know.
Like, Emily Blunt.
Is that Emily Blunt?
Yeah.
And there it is.
This is apparently was not very well received.
I just, I saw the trailer and I was like, um...
Yeah, it is Emily Blunt.
I saw the, I actually watched the full trailer on the trailer apps on...
The Apple trailer app on the iPhone is awesome, by the way.
Yeah.
But by thing about...
Watch it when you watch the trailers when you're somewhere where you're connected to Wi-Fi.
Because the 4G's is real muddy.
Yeah.
And it probably stutters and sputters.
Yeah.
Something tells me this is going to be Appetite's second-meary.
Ooh.
That was fighting words, sir.
No, seriously.
I think if it didn't have a strong opening weekend and apparently it's not so far, it may very
well be his second-meary.
Number two at the box office making just under $4 million for an 8-day total of $32.51 million.
Another movie that Chad really wants to leave the top 10 is the lucky one.
So sick of this trailer.
I have never seen this.
I hear people talk about it but never seen a trailer.
No idea who's in it.
I just think of that Amy Grant song.
I'm the lucky one.
It's Channing Tatum, right?
I don't know who the girl is.
Oh, well then I am in.
I will go see that.
It's like he finds this picture on the ground in the middle of Afghanistan or something like that.
And he comes back and finds her because apparently the guy that she was with dropped his picture
got killed in combat.
It's something like, I don't know.
I could be completely butchering this.
But he goes and finds her.
So chick-flip.
Yeah.
So no, look again.
And number one, making $5.5 million.
So I sent for an 8-day total of $48.4 million.
Congratulations Steve Harvey as think like a man is still making money.
Get it while you can.
I've talked to a couple people that have seen this and said it was wonderful.
And everything, every time I see this, they just every time.
Time of Kevin Hart turns around and sees it.
Gosh, what a skirt it is.
That scene in the trailer.
Apparently he's got a cameo in another movie right now that's out.
I got nothing.
Me neither.
It's a movie that's got a bunch of unexpected cameos in it.
I got to look it up.
Hold on.
Hmm.
For Kevin Hart, like the highlight that IMDb shows under his name is SoulPlan.
Ouch.
Oh, is that really?
Really?
I burn.
Um, he's in the five-year engagement.
Oh.
Oh, really?
Oh, I already.
Apparently there's a ton of cameos in that.
So.
I don't like movies like that.
I kind of do if they're playing themselves.
I mean, five-year engagement.
Oh, but see, I can't, I can't harp on the five-year engagement because I forgot.
My Allison Bree is in that.
Well, I don't think you know, I'm necessarily harping on it, but I just don't think it's going to.
A comedian, Lauren Weedman, Mimi Kennedy, David Paymer.
Uh, let's see who else.
That's all I'm showing on the phone.
Mimi Kennedy, is that?
Who's that?
I know it sounds familiar.
Very familiar.
She's been around forever and at day.
Boy, I don't know if IMDb's just running slower.
My computer's running slow tonight.
But, uh, Scary Movie 5 is going to happen.
In.
Because we needed this.
Directed by Malcolm Lee, known for the film Roll Bounce.
Because we needed an all-state and the all-state direction kind of a movie.
I have seen every screen movie in the movie theater.
Scary movie or screen?
Because it's different.
This is a scary movie.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I thought, because five would be next.
They did scream five, right?
So you're in on screen.
No, then I'm out on this.
Because those movies are disgusting.
Yeah, they're stupid.
Speaking of Scary Movie, you know, another one is William Brothers.
Juggernauts.
Chad and I watched that Fox 25th anniversary special today.
That was terrible.
Oh, you were disappointed.
Oh, my God, it was bad.
Oh, you were really excited.
I was excited for what they should have done is they,
because they, they covered different genres in each segment.
And I was really upset that Tracy Omen got a passing mention when they started to mention the Simpsons.
Because she was one of the flagship shows.
Yeah.
And it was just kind of like, oh, yeah, the Simpsons games for Tracy Omen.
I'm like, are you kidding me?
Now, granted, the family got segments.
And the Simpsons segments were highly entertaining.
But we couldn't get those people on camera to talk other than Seth.
Yeah, that was weird.
And that's 70 show thing.
No Toe for Grace.
Because he's so busy.
Neither one of the parents.
Oh, they were so funny.
Yeah, I would have loved to have seen.
But I got to have Wilder Valderama.
Failure.
Failure.
I mean, you know, we can get you will always be fed.
I don't care what you get.
We get the Ashton Kutcher to show up.
We can get the Mielecunus to show up.
But we couldn't get any of these other ones.
And I would love to see Kurt Wood Smith.
I love both of them.
Let's see it.
Even the lady that played the mother,
whose name currently escapes me.
Debra Joe.
Rob, Rob.
Debra Joe Rob.
As much as she was on that show,
you know, who shall always be to me?
Friends.
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
And now that.
Do you have any repeat?
I love that laugh.
You're trying to merge your body with BC.
My sister's going to have my babies.
This is so great.
Russell Crow has now been attached to Darren Aronofsky.
Aronofsky's epic film based on the story of Noah.
That will be out in 2013.
But we're all going to be dead according to mine anyway.
I'm interested.
I like Aronofsky.
He was originally supposed to do the new Batman franchise.
Yeah.
If you remember, he was going to do Batman Year 1
as a live action film.
Well, now that this is going to be wrapping up the trilogy
with Nolan, maybe he's going to be back on the running for it.
Somebody's got to pick that thing up.
They're not going to just let that.
But he's not going to do Year 1,
because he just did as an animated film.
Oh, well.
I think you just hang it up.
Because Christian Bells are all you said he's out.
After this one.
So they're rebooted Spider-Man.
Yeah, but this was a good trilogy.
Yeah, it was a good trilogy.
Well, we're assuming with the third one.
We don't know.
That's the biggest thing for me right now with Avengers
and with Spider-Man.
With Dark Knight Rises is trying to stay spoiler-free.
And it's killing me.
Well, you really don't have to try to stay spoiler-free,
because they're really not letting a lot out there.
Well, I've got one of my former trainees.
Huh.
What's going on?
Oh, we've lost internet connection, I guess.
What's going on there?
That's great.
He's the wireless is down.
One of my former trainees who's at my job.
He's already seen the scene after the credits.
The scene after the credits of Avengers.
The Avengers.
Really?
And he went, I just shouldn't have done that.
Like, he had that look in his face like, my mind was blown.
Where the heck did he find that?
The movie's been out in Europe for a week.
I'm sure somebody's put it on YouTube.
Yeah, they probably yanked it down as soon as they got put up, too.
I'm telling you, I'm to really trying to stay spoiler-free on this,
because I'm just freaking out.
I can't wait.
Five more days to the marathon.
Jack White will do the soundtrack for the lone ranger.
The whole soundtrack?
That's what I'm reading.
I thought maybe it was just like the theme song.
No, he's doing the...
Wait, I'm telling him, which is a theme song, I'm going to be honest.
Well, but they always have like a...
It's kind of like a bond.
But you know what would be awesome if he just covered Blase of Glory by John Bon Jovi.
I don't know if I want Jack White singing that.
No.
Because I wasn't a fan of his song that he did with Alicia Keys for...
Oh, for one of my songs.
One of my songs.
Yeah, it was awful.
It was pretty bad.
Did you hear about the flat depths getting, though?
I remember the first time I saw him in costume, I'm like, what the heck is he doing?
They're basing the costume on a painting of Tonto that was done by an artist way, way back in the day.
And the head dress with the wings.
In this painting, there's a bird like crow flying behind him.
And Depp thought it looked like it was on his head, so that's where they put it in the costume.
And he's deaf, so they're not going to tell him, no.
Oh, I would.
I wonder if that's...
Well...
Yeah, but you're not having to make this mega star happy because let's face it.
People are going to go see this movie because of him, not because of Army Hammer.
That's a valid point.
I just...
I hear his name and I think about baking soda.
Yeah, I know.
But I wonder, is that the only look he's got in this movie?
I wonder if maybe...
I think Army Hammer looks great in the costume personally.
Which black.
And I know that's kind of...
I know that's weird coming from you.
That is odd.
Because I wear his black, but my lone ranger is, you know, kind of a light gray.
Always has been.
I'm going to start this next topic and then I'm going to try to fix this wireless internet problem that I'm currently having.
Martin Scorsese says all of his future projects will be in 3D.
Thoughts.
You have got to be kidding me.
Wow.
Scorsese.
Well, I guess he...
Charlotte, have you seen Hugo yet?
No.
I can't believe it.
Because I...
I know he...
Oh my God.
Na-na-na-na-na-na.
He's here all night.
I'm trying to fish.
I'm trying to fish.
Unless that's what he's going to be doing is movies of that ilk for the rest of his career.
I don't...
What is Hugo?
It was not for best picture.
It was a very...
It...
Just from what I saw, it looked very like bicentennial man-ish.
It had a lot of CG.
But it wasn't all CG.
That means that you...
I mean...
You have to do 3D...
Like how do I...
Like you have to do movies that are supposed to be in 3D.
Yeah.
Or I'm here on out.
And that's kind of limits you, doesn't it?
Yeah.
I'm like in...
So what?
We're not going to get any more movies like The Departed or...
Right.
Or Goodfellas God forbid.
Nothing more like...
I don't want my Goodfellas type film in 3D.
It's overkill.
Right.
That is a little much.
You know, unless he just thinks that you slap three...
Like a lot of Hollywood producers and directors are thinking...
Let's just slap 3D on it.
And that's another guaranteed 50 million at the box office.
But there's some movies that are in 3D that I'm like...
That movie made no difference to me in 3D.
Clash of the Titans was that way for...
For a story...
I did not need to see that in 3D.
I did not need to see it.
It wasn't necessary.
Completely unnecessary.
But you know, a friend of the show...
Devin Pike said that...
For him...
Seeing Hugo in 3D...
Was...
Was better.
Like it should have been seen in 3D.
That's how I feel about Avatar.
If you didn't see Avatar in 3D, then you missed out a lot.
Well, I'm just saying there's some movies like that...
That probably should just be in 3D.
Because they were shot for it.
Right.
When they put a lot of these movies in...
But I don't think Titanic was shot for 3D.
No, it wasn't.
Stupid boat movie.
That, you know, that was just...
That was an obvious...
That was all like...
Let's just make more money on it.
That's a shameless cashier.
Because it's the 110th anniversary of the tragedy.
And Cameron's all about 3D.
I'm sure that we'll probably get an announcement like this...
From Cameron.
Now that Scorsese come out and say all of his are going to be in 3D.
Well...
Well, now we're just limiting ourselves to the movies completely...
If every director starts saying that.
Well, but Cameron, you can kind of see it...
Because that's his genre.
Yeah.
He belongs in that genre.
Scorsese, I don't think he belongs in this genre.
Did he do that one movie with Leonardo DiCaprio?
The...
The departed.
No.
Thanks of New York.
No, that was...
Shutter Island?
Yes.
Yes, he did that one too.
See, like...
You can't do movies like that if you're just going to do 3D.
Well, I guess you could, but why would you?
Yeah.
You know, because he's Scorsese.
I can't.
I guess the Caprio is Scorsese Muse.
Like...
Dep is...
Tim...
You know Tim Burton doesn't like you.
Yeah.
Well...
He's just...
He's just go-to guy, apparently.
Alright, let's go...
Let's go back to this song over here because...
What do you...
What have you thought?
They beat this last week on the show.
What do you think?
The song, I like it.
This is a sound garden track from the Avenger soundtrack.
It's called Live the Rise.
And, boy, this...
This is...
This is an incredible song if there ever was.
Oh, yeah.
Apparently, there's people that are actually...
They're having a contest in the Avenger's movie's website
where they've got samples of the rest of the soundtrack
and they want people to make their own video mashups with it.
Oh, that's cool.
So, I'd like to know what else is on this time.
Sure, we'll know.
They did something like that for Iron Man 2 as well.
That was all AC-DC though.
I mean, it's...
The closest thing to a greatest hits album you're going to get out of them
because they haven't done it.
Well, I think they finally did do one.
Yeah, they did.
It was a box set.
Yeah.
Because the closest you got before that was that live album.
That was the...
That was the only thing you get close to a greatest hits album
until that happened, which made no sense to me.
This...
This band?
Come on.
But, congratulations to Avengers.
It has the third biggest opening in the UK ever.
With 4.
Let's see, 4.1 million.
You hear, and you're like,
yeah, but...
The American Dollars in the...
It's so far in the toilet right now,
that could be like 90 million dollars for all I know.
I just can't believe the two that are in front of it.
And it's only behind Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
and Episode 3.
Think about that for a second.
It's behind the fourth movie in the Harry Potter franchise.
Not the finale.
The middle.
I'm like, I would think that Deathly Hallows Part 2
would have that honor.
Not Order of the Phoenix.
By the way, right now,
96% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Oh, I don't doubt it.
But we've had a very limited amount of Critic screen,
this thing, I'm sure.
I know that the Tribeca Film Festival had a lot to do
with getting a lot of the Critic Word of Mad on Death.
10 reviews.
I'm sorry, don't 58 reviews.
Jeez.
So, let me see if there's any...
New York Post.
Time Magazine.
Variety.
The AP Hollywood Reporter.
Real.com.
The Mercury.
The Sydney Morning Herald.
ABC Radio National.
This is London.
The Irish Times.
A Liverpool Echo.
A Sun Online.
When stuff like that's released overseas,
do you think it affects the box office here?
And the States when it releases it?
The Guardian.
The only bad one I think so.
The only bad one I've seen so far is from something called...
Fan the Fire.
That's all you really need to know right there.
Box Office Magazine gave it a negative review.
It probably got somebody like Rex Reed
that's so completely out of touch with this culture of film.
And Amy Nicholson.
Oh.
I don't see the third one, shall we?
She's probably in her 50s.
I can't wait.
It's already almost 50 million dollars overseas.
This movie is going to go insane.
And then it's going to segue us into new releases
in your local movie house in six days.
In five days,
I will be handling the ultimate Marvel movie marathon.
Next Thursday,
May the 3rd,
which by the way is the official count.
You start kick off of the countdown to Summer BAM 39.
Which by the way, Charlotte has a location.
Oh.
We have a location.
The party will be on July the 3rd,
which is a Tuesday,
which is the day before the 4th of July.
Got a call from again,
Friend of the Show, Devon Pike.
He and I,
and another friend of the show,
Clay Harrison, our birthdays are all over a two-day span.
So it's being called Ragnarok.
Oh, buddy.
July 3rd, J Pepe is on Greenville.
Oh, yummy.
Five o'clock to the last person drops.
There will be a pool involved.
There will be a Nacho bar.
In.
You had me in Nacho bar.
Oh, I would hope I would have had you
and inviting you to something with me.
Oh, personally.
It's not like you were in at J Pepe's.
So it will be five o'clock to the last person drops
and mark it on your calendar now.
There is a Facebook page.
If you go to my page,
you look at the pages that I follow.
There's an event page for it.
Yeah, there is an event page for it that Devon set up.
So,
very excited.
What the heck happened?
Oh.
But the Avengers does start off next Thursday,
starting at 10.30 in the morning.
I will sit through Ironman Hulk.
Incredible Hulk was the second one, right?
That's the one we're doing.
Ironman 2,
Thorin 3D,
Captain America,
the first Avenger in 3D.
And
the Avengers in 3D.
That midnight.
I cannot wait.
Your head's going to explode.
I don't care.
I can't.
I literally cannot wait.
I can't.
I'm speechless right now.
I'm so excited.
Again, 96% Rotten Tomatoes.
Also opening this week,
the best exotic Marigold Hotel.
It follows a group of British retirees
who decide to outsource their retirement
to less expensive and seemingly exotic India.
Oh, I saw the trailer for this.
This actually looks kind of interesting.
Enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel
and bolstered with visions of a life of leisure,
they arrived to find the place
a shell of its former self.
Through the new environment,
though the new environment
is less luxurious than imagined they are
forever transformed
by their shared experiences.
Discovering that life and love can be
can begin again when you let go of your past.
So this is the Mirons in this, isn't she?
Oh, the Miron, the Dench.
Yeah.
Tom Wilkinson, Dev Patel, Bill Nighy.
Oh, my God, that guy's in everything.
So it's like the,
it looks like the traveling pants depends.
Oh, thank you.
Such are the traveling safety pants.
Oh, I think we just found our title.
Also a movie called Mother's Day.
Have you seen the trailer for this thing?
Is it in this movie thing where it's like Valentine's Day
and New Year's or whatever?
Or is it a horror film?
It is the remake of the horror film.
There's a horror film called Mother's Day.
Oh, yeah.
Yes, it is a remake.
Who's in it?
Anybody?
Jamie King, Rebecca De Mornay.
Oh, wow.
A Patrick Feuer.
For the makers of Saw 3, 2, 3, and 4.
Mother's Day is a graphic remake of the Trauma Horror Classic.
After a bank robbery gone wrong,
three brothers go home to hide out only to discover
that their mother, who is Rebecca De Mornay,
lost their house in a foreclosure.
The new owners and their party guests
become the depraved brother's unwitting hostages.
The sadistic mother soon arrives and willingly takes control
of the situation, ratcheting up the terror.
As the hostages struggle desperately
to survive the harrowing torture,
they realize there is nothing a mother
won't do to protect her children.
Yeah, I couldn't be any more out if I tried.
Yeah, I'm just saying.
I like horror, but that just sounds like a beating to me.
Also, coming out, a movie called L-O-L.
Is that Miley Cyrus thing?
Yes.
That's all of IMBB.
An authentic story that perfectly captures
the coming of age in today's digital world.
L-O-L is a remake of the hugely popular 2008 French film.
Oddly called L-O-L.
Starting a new year of high school, Lola,
played by Miley Cyrus, or L-O-L as her friends call her.
See what we did there?
Works to find the right balance between family,
school, friends, and romance.
Broken-hearted by her ex,
L-O-L's world has certainly turned upside down
when she is surprised to find her best friend Kyle,
played by a Douglas Booth,
a musician in an up-and-coming rock band
could possibly be the love of her life.
And her first year in high school?
Just saying.
The love of a shut up.
God.
Sounds like an estrogen sponge cake to me.
Also coming out this coming Friday,
with a whopping 5% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Oh my god.
5% are you serious?
Kate Hudson, Kathy Bates,
Guy Algarcia, Bernal, Lucy Punch,
and Peter Dinklage,
in a movie called A Little Bit of Heaven.
Setting New Orleans about an irreverent young woman
who unexpectedly falls in love with her doctor.
Okay.
I don't like a decent enough cast,
but my gosh.
5%.
Yeah, he's.
What else we have going on here?
Meeting evil.
This has been a trailer that's about nothing,
but trailers as of late.
The odd pairing of Luke Wilson and Samuel L. Jackson.
Okay.
We're basically Samuel Jackson's a devil.
And he won't leave Luke Wilson alone.
You have my attention.
So Sam's got two movies coming out on the same day.
Mm-hmm.
He's been busy.
I'm from hell.
And I do it again.
And I do it again.
That was terrible.
And I want to apologize to all of our friends.
The perfect family also.
That is Rob.
Yes.
And I hope they burn it.
Well, I can arrange that now.
The perfect family.
If you can believe this thing,
have you seen this trailer?
No.
When you see the, it's, it's,
it's got Emily D. Chanel and Jason Rader are basically the,
the children in this thing.
And one of them has decided she's going to come out of a closet
and the other ones just not doing much with this life.
The mother in this.
You watch it and you're like, who is that?
And then you realize it's Kathleen Turner.
And you're just like, oh my god.
That bad, huh?
Yeah.
Like it does, it doesn't even register.
That's like, oh my god.
That's, that's Kathy Turner.
She's gone from Jessica Rabbit to Roger Rabbit at this point.
I guess I was just like, wow.
I was like, is that Kathy Bates?
Oh, really?
Look at that.
Look at the poster.
Look at the look of the poster on IMDB right now.
Okay.
Okay.
Deep breath.
Who is Kathleen Turner?
A body heat.
Keep going.
Chandler's father.
Keep going.
Do you know where Chandler's dad from, from friends?
Oh, I thought that was like a movie or something.
No, no.
Chandler's father.
She played.
Yeah.
I actually do take off your headphones.
I'm going to pull it up right now so you can see this.
I've got it.
I don't want to see the trailer.
Do you see this thing yet?
She's just not aging well.
Not at all.
But I don't know.
But I also don't know if they did this on purpose from the movie.
Well, she import health in the movie, maybe?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm going to pull it up so you can see the trailer.
Here.
Can you see her right there?
OK.
I'm going to pick a better picture.
OK, you see that, right?
OK.
Pull up the picture for her on the phone.
That's her.
Yeah.
I mean, that's her back in the day right there.
Jewel of the Nile.
Romance in the stone.
I'm thinking they did this on purpose for the movie.
They had to.
I don't know.
Because.
And then you have this next movie called First Position.
This is a documentary about young kids that want to make a career out of ballet.
I've seen the trailer.
This looks like it would just break your heart.
Like these kids are like six and seven starting out.
Oh, yeah.
But not in like a toddler's interior.
It's kind of way.
Oh, good.
So.
DVD and Blue Light New releases this week.
In case you've been waiting for your dolly part and fix, joyful noise.
There's two days.
I rather smash myself on the hand with a ball.
And then if you're like me and you need your Gina Carano fix.
The movie she did with you and McGregor and everybody else directed by Steven Soderberg.
Hey, wire.
Which went nowhere.
But I sure did look.
I want to see it.
I don't know my list.
But then I saw this thing grow with a dragon tattoo.
And that's my fault.
George Harrison living in the material world.
This was a two-part documentary.
Yeah.
That's a video did.
Watch the second part.
The first part that told me anything new.
And that's real.
Also, covert affairs season two of you are into such shows.
I watch the first season.
The Piper Peribault.
Some days I'm like, oh, hot.
And another reason I'm like, no, not so much.
Yeah.
She's kind of hot and cold.
Is that her?
Yeah, that's the Piper Peribault in that show.
What's the one with the dark hair girl?
Sarah Shahi.
That's a that's a fairly legal.
Fairly legal.
Okay.
Can I say something?
Yeah, they didn't see what they did.
They're fairly legal.
Never mind.
New Year's Eve.
These sequels of Valentine's Day.
Which.
Kevin went.
Yeah.
Mercifully so.
That's that's one of those movie prenup situations.
Yeah.
And W.E.
This was the movie that Madonna won the Oscar for Best Song for.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
Okay.
About royal affairs and.
Madonna can go downstairs.
Apparently that tour has been delayed.
Having production issues.
Like they're having Madonna issues.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
We are live each and every Saturday night.
Eight o'clock on the east coast.
Five o'clock on the west coast.
We are your one-stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Let's do a little sports right now.
Shalloway.
If I can make the computer work.
Okay.
There we go.
Little NBA news for you.
Metal World Peace.
Or the player formally known as Ron Artest.
Now he's still our tester.
And the elbow heard around the World Charlotte.
What have you seen this footage?
I have not.
He's celebrating a score.
Because I heard about it.
Because my problem is with the schedule that I work.
I don't get to watch around the Horn and PCI every day.
So I actually download the audio through iTunes.
And I listen to him when I'm on my dinner break.
And I heard about this.
And I was like, you know, he's really been kind of making.
Making strides.
He really has been trying.
So maybe this was incidental.
Contact.
I went and saw this thing.
He ran past the dude.
Pulled his arm back and elbowed the student in the head.
They are saying possible concussions.
They're not sure yet.
He is suspended for the Lakers.
First seven playoff games.
If they don't play that many, it will carry over into the next season.
So like I think it's swept.
He'll be suspended for the first seven games next year.
I think this is too light.
I great.
This is the Ron Artest side of Metal World Peace.
Rearing its ugly head again.
This guy is unstable.
Period.
Debate it.
Oh, there's no way.
The Bobcats.
Congratulations.
You know how the lowest winning percentage in NBA history?
Surprise.
So sad.
They won seven games.
Seven.
Seven and 59 for a 106 winning percentage.
It's not funny, but it's funny.
They are the next lowest team to them.
They are 14 games behind.
Wow.
Lottery pick.
Just saying.
Congratulations, Kevin Durant.
He wins the scoring title over Kobe Bryant.
That came down to the last game of the season.
It's true we did.
And I'm happy that he won it over.
I'm happy that anybody won it over Kobe Bryant actually.
The playoffs are underway.
The Bulls take a one game lead over Philadelphia with a 103-91 win.
Orlando in Indiana.
Right now Indiana up five on the Orlando Magic with five and a half to go.
How about that, sir?
It's unreal.
Dallas, Oklahoma City will be getting underway here in about 13 minutes.
And my beloved Miami, he take a one game lead.
Let me lay this down for you.
This is the first round of the playoffs, okay?
I'm showing you.
Miami, get ready to show the elbow.
Miami beats the niks.
167.
LeBron James 32 points four rebounds and three assists.
Unreal.
Charlotte's currently looking at the meta world piece footage.
Oh, he's a disgust.
But do you see what I'm talking about?
Like, he really, like, he loaded that and let it fly.
And didn't even break his stride running away.
Yeah.
He picked up his pace.
Like, nobody saw that.
Nobody saw everybody saw that you tool.
By the way, also, we just, oh, John's here.
And John, we're about to talk about that here in just a minute.
Good to see you, brother.
Do you want to say a quick congratulations?
Your daughter attending promise, even.
Yes.
Her prom picture is over here on my screen, Charlotte.
If you would like to see it in her gown.
Have you seen it?
Oh, of course.
Okay.
I didn't realize I was tagged in a picture.
The one with her in Sasha.
No, this is her, her, her, her by herself.
And it is the both.
Oh, yeah.
I saw the one with her in Sasha.
So.
So that is my goddaughter going to prom tonight.
I am getting old.
You are getting old.
I love it.
Sure.
That is your child.
Yes, it is.
Also, just found out.
Good show.
Thank you for listening.
Russell, appreciate you being here, brother.
We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night as well at Fox and Hound.
And as John said in the chat room, Derek Rose tears his ACL in the Chicago victory today.
He will be out for the rest of the playoffs.
This does not bode well for the Chicago Bulls.
No.
They've got other weapons.
Don't get me wrong.
Derek Rose, heart and soul of that team.
MVP.
Yeah.
Last year, for sure.
Yeah.
So, I mean, on one hand, I hate to sear that for them, but kind of helps my heat a little
bit.
But you don't want to see that happening to anybody that's no.
But, you know, apparently this guy who's got the heart of a lot.
Yeah.
I like Derek Rose.
But you also have former Gator.
Joke him no on that team.
Two time.
You can see that by champion.
Yeah.
So.
But the good news is I think they can still get past Philly.
Philly had such a meltdown in the second half of the season.
That I think that Chicago can hold them on.
I think that Derek Rose today, 23 points nine, nine rebounds of mine.
It says he almost had a triple double like in that.
And when did he go down?
Let's see.
I think I'm poor.
John probably knows.
Yeah.
When did he tear his ACL?
John.
I've got it right here.
I'm looking it up right now.
It's a race.
It's a race.
With one 20 left in the game.
Oh man.
80 seconds left in the game.
Oh.
I don't know what's worse.
To go out the beginning or to go out the end.
Wow.
That's that's harsh.
You know, if you follow if you're a friend of mine on Facebook,
I put the video for this song up here.
Did you watch it?
No.
This is the strangest music video.
Like they're playing basketball and then a kung fu fight breaks out.
And this came out when.
True.
There you go.
But they're playing basketball on like a seven foot rim.
The rim itself is seven feet in circumference.
No, seven feet off the ground.
Your normal NBA rim is 10 feet.
Yeah.
And it was just like everybody's dunking.
I'm like, you're not even leaving the ground.
Jackass.
It's like they're playing office basketball from their chairs.
Duking into tragic tomorrow's slate of games at one o'clock Eastern.
Utah will host the San Antonio Spurs.
At two thirty Eastern or sorry three thirty Eastern Denver will will be at the
Lakers seven o'clock Eastern Boston at Atlanta and nine thirty Eastern the
Clippers at Memphis.
That last one's going to be a good game.
Clippers Memphis.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
It's going to be a real good game.
So that's what we've got right now.
We're going to move on.
Do a little bit of a person of interest.
Person of interest is a segment we do on this show.
Where we take a person or an entity and we debate their greatness or their
own.
Did I click the wrong one?
I did click the wrong one.
Yeah.
That's it.
Oh, although that does kind of not a real vote.
He did act.
Yeah, but he's done films.
Yeah, he's done.
Yeah.
Yeah, I guess you are right.
That's not the first thing you think of when you mention him.
Trying to update our feet at the same time here.
The pendulum does swing back to me and I thought about this literally came to me
like this morning because I was like I said we've done POI for so long now.
That I'm starting to run out of ideas.
I can't believe we haven't covered this one sooner.
Considering who my leader is.
And we did what we did.
Cody and I did a Cody did a list one night of like top 10 worst songs done by actors.
We probably should have pulled that list up.
Well, we'll play a couple of them.
I'm actually going to play this instead of the Peter gun theme.
We're going to start here.
And the sad part is actually I really like this.
No, no, this is a bad example.
You know what you should play by him.
Yes.
No.
Exactly.
I don't have that.
I had Megan look that video.
I was like, what in the world?
I'm like, yeah, pretty bad.
I know it's got your leader in it, Megan, but that song was awful.
What's up with you?
What's up with you?
Martin doing that just killing me.
Anyway, we're kind of bearing.
So we are actually the POI tonight is actors who sing versus singers who act.
And I don't mean like Broadway.
I mean, you have cut an album and released it.
I have always maintained that the latter is easier to transition than the former.
Actor singing rather than singers acting.
Yes.
No, sorry.
No, singers act.
Yes.
No, singers acting is an easier transition because they act are singing because we'll Smith.
Yes.
Ice cube.
To a certain extent, Phil Collins.
Ice tea.
Ice tea.
That's a great example there.
Now, other side of that coin.
You're listening to it.
Or unless we forget this one.
I just want to say for this deweasel zappa, you are wrong for playing guitar this song.
Can we think of an example where an actor has, and I can only think of one example where an actor has had decent success.
By the way, this is Don Johnson doing heartbeat.
This video was terrible.
The only example I can think of where an actor had a good amount of success in the musical arena would be Jared Leto with 30 seconds from ours.
Yeah.
What about like all the people who are like in the Mickey Mouse Club?
But I don't really count that because it's a variety show and they have to say they were singing anyway.
Well, this one's going to hurt, but I'm going to go ahead and do it anyway.
This was one that was on Cody's list, and this one hurts, but it's true.
A bad actor that can't sing or a bad singer that can't act.
This was an actor who did an album.
I have no idea what this is.
Two words.
Black Widow.
This is the Joe Hanson.
Russell says John Travolta.
Yeah, but he actually had a little bit of success.
But he knew when to get out, too.
Well, you know, it wasn't.
He didn't redo a lot of music, but Patrick Swayze had a pretty big hit with she's like the wind.
But how over-profit.
Let's cue that up because here's my contention with that song.
A lot of echo, a lot of studio effect.
Oh my god.
And I've got to get out of the show.
Please, please.
Do we do we do each.
What about the day Chanel?
The day Chanel stuff was actually kind of decent.
The Matt and Kim thing just failed.
Do we tread into the Bruce Willis territory with the-
No.
The return of Bruno.
Okay, just- but listen to the vocal here.
She's like the wind.
I mean, it's not bad, but, you know.
It's not something-
Some of the worst lyrics ever.
Yeah.
But it's 87, sir.
What do you-
But you look at me when I do.
Smooth.
You know, it's the same thing.
And- and I'm sure that the only reason that this song was nearly as successful
as it was was because of the film it was attached to.
Because that-
Everything it was attached to-
But you know what, nuts.
It's still not a bad song.
No.
I like this song.
Yeah, it's not- it's not really a bad song.
Melodically.
I've sung this on karaoke, and I'm not afraid to admit-
I don't doubt that for a second.
A lot of people said, what happened to this song?
I-
I am a karaoke risk taker.
And I'm not afraid to admit-
Yeah.
You- you look over the edge of that cliff and say, I'm jumping.
That's right.
I did- I have done party all the time in Korea.
That's a brave man there.
And I even did the whole Rick James-
I did the whole thing.
You're an idiot.
That's how I roll, sir.
Well, we- we spent a lot of time talking about actors who sing.
Now let's talk about singers who act.
Again, Will Smith.
Tim McGraw.
Tim- Tim McGraw, I think is-
He needs to do more.
Impressive.
Because he's-
Him and Dwight-
Well, he- him and Dwight Yoko.
You know, Bon Jovi's not bad either.
But I think what Bon Jovi's-
Because his ego's just got so out of control.
But-
But-
But Dwight Yoko, how many times did you have to sit through-
Um-
Sling blade.
Before you realized that was Dwight Yoko.
That's true.
He had to tell me that I was-
When we were sitting there watching blinds on, I'm like, that's Tim McGraw.
Yeah.
Well, he did a great job in the blinds eye.
Yeah.
I'm trying to think of who else.
Um-
Well, you got my leader that didn't do such a great-
This is a principle.
Well, I mean-
You were a big fan of the Timberleg.
That you can act.
Not a fan of him, but-
I mean, Prince was-
Prince was decent in purple rain, but purple rain was going to be a good movie,
whether or not he could act or not.
It didn't really happen.
And again, did not mind Graffiti Bridge.
Not a bad film.
I still think, Cherry, it makes a better film.
Graffiti Bridge.
By the way, uh-
Russell, Russell says George straight.
Yeah, pure country.
I'm not-
I'm not on either side of the neck.
But-
So while we're on this, I want to go back to something.
We talked last-
A couple weeks ago about this.
Three doors down ZZ Top Tour that's coming to town.
She was opening for them.
Gretchen Wilson.
Like, somebody found her.
Well, you know, in reference to pure country, let's look at what-
What Gwyneth Paltrow's done.
Yeah, I was about to say her.
Yeah, but here's my thing with Gwynne.
She did the duet movie where we first realized that she actually did sing.
Didn't realize that she-
But, but see, she's one of those people.
I love the Gwynne.
Don't get me wrong.
Beautiful girl.
Crazy as a moon apparently.
When you name your kid Apple.
And Moses.
Uh, and Moses.
She's one of those people that-
It's like Mickey James in TNA.
Right.
When she sings, it's just like she's talking.
It's the same exact voice.
There's no-
There's no depth to it.
There's no range to it.
Uh, you're a lovely wife who's a brilliant sense.
Isn't a cool kid, man.
Uh.
If you're counting Mulan Rouge.
What about-
Oh, no.
Because that was Broadway.
Well, then you and Whitney all that bad either.
But then-
They didn't make a career out of singing.
I don't think Nicole Kimmins released an album outside of anything to do with Mulan Rouge.
And I-
Yes, I know she's saying it happy feet.
Right.
But I'll tell you what I am looking-
What I would-
Would like to hear is the album that Rita Wilson's put out.
Oh, wow.
I forgot-
We've talked about it on this show.
Yeah, I forgot about that.
Uh, Tom Hanks was pimping on his Twitter feed.
We have to ask him anything about-
Well, of course you would.
Which is Tom Hanks.
He's just greatness anyway.
But it-
But I contend.
It's easier.
Now we're back to this.
I-
I was running out of time.
It's easier for the singer to go into the acting arena than it is for the actor to go into the singing arena.
Now-
Now we're-
We're leaving a bar out here.
We're leaving a big video.
We're leaving a big video.
Oh.
I don't-
I think Fitty's since done some great stuff at night.
I talk about Fitty.
Even though he's still being basically his own character.
I'm talking about a juggernaut.
And she's already come up once tonight.
Kelly Clarkson.
Ma.
Da.
Nah.
Not a great actress.
Not a great actress at all.
I've seen her work.
I've seen Diana another day.
She was-
She was good in-
In a league of their own.
Chouche.
But I think with-
With a league of her own.
The people surrounding her made her better.
And I got another-
I got one word for you.
Evita.
Ah, but-
But-
That's a musical.
I know.
But still-
That's-
Hey, Jesse L. Martin.
He went from Broadway to long order.
He was using the original cast to rent.
Amazing.
He's supposed to be playing Marvin Gaye in the biopic.
Wow, could I see-
Oh, my God.
Could he pull that off?
That's why he left one order.
Because he was going to go do the biopic of Marvin Gaye.
It still wasn't out.
Now, that'd be amazing.
He's-
Oh, my God.
You could have picked a better guy for that.
I didn't realize that he'd come from rent, though.
I know.
Did he do the original cast?
But didn't he do the movie when they did the movie?
Because the movie was the original cast.
Except for Joanne and Mimi.
Well, then who else came out of rent then?
That's been a pretty successful actor.
Tate will know.
Was Rosario Dawson in rent?
Not the original production.
No, not the original production.
He was in the original Broadway run.
But she was in rent, wasn't she?
The movie, but not on Broadway.
I thought that's how she got her start.
No, no, no.
She was in Broadway.
No, no, no.
She was not the original Mimi.
But I mean-
Tate Diggs can sing.
Well, your wife, who's our British descent,
says that Nicole Kidman sang some stupid song with Robbie Williams.
Did she really?
That's what she sings.
Yeesh.
Did she yet, was it that word?
Was it worded that way?
Saying some stupid song with Robbie Williams.
It says she sang something stupid with Robbie Williams.
Oh, literally.
That's right.
I do remember that.
Is that the name of the song?
Something stupid.
It's the Frank Sinatra remake that he did with Nancy.
It's so it wasn't an implied thing.
She was being a little rarer.
She did sing something.
That's right.
I don't know.
Pretty girl.
Tall and Australian.
Double whammy.
Anna Redhead.
Triple whammy.
She got a little bit too lanky and stringy looking for me.
I'm not good with it.
I like the Cameron Diaz.
I like the better when they hit curves.
Well, Cameron Diaz definitely.
She got way too skinny.
I think Nicole Kidman.
I think she looked her best in Days of Thunder.
But that's just me.
I do like this song.
This song is a guilty play.
It's definitely true that she is.
Rick James in the control room.
Acting like this could be the greatest song ever.
He's like.
Hold that note.
Hold that note.
For you, young kids.
For you, young kids that have not seen this video.
When you're done listening to the show, just go to YouTube
and look up Eddie Murphy.
Make it your old school jam with the week next week.
And then go look at the video for what's up with you.
Him and Michael J.
Actually, don't.
Because I don't want to be responsible for scarring these people.
Because that song was you would think.
Eddie and Michael.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They got a relationship.
Just saying.
It's horrific.
All right.
That's P-O-I.
That was a good one.
Let us do.
We could probably talk on that another night.
You know what we see in the clubhouse.
We are your one stop shop for all things sports and pop culture.
Sports entertainment.
Make sure you join us tomorrow night speaking of sports entertainment.
Fox and Hound Richardson, Texas.
Just west of Central Expressway on Campbell Road right behind the McDonald's.
We will be on the air at seven o'clock Eastern.
My wife already has her menu selection picked out.
I'm so ready.
I love the food there.
Although, Charlotte, I call you today and you pick up the phone.
I know.
And that had a really dumb moment.
Like I was sitting there writing my paper.
I was all into it.
And the phone rang.
And I was like, Cody, answer your freaking phone.
Like, and I was thinking that in my head and say it.
And then I just started to get ready to come here.
And I was like, oh, my God.
That was my phone.
Oopsie.
We had lunch at Max and cheese today.
I wanted you to come with us.
It said, oh, we have to pause this.
We're going to talk about Max and cheese.
You have not extolled the greatest of Max and cheese.
I've never heard of it.
Just pulled up food.
Let her play in the background.
town is smooth.
town is small.
And if you don't know how to hold it.
It's the only reason you go there in a food court.
It's gourmet macaroni and cheese.
And Nathan's hot dogs.
They have a hot dog.
They have a hot dog.
It's where A and W used to be.
Yeah.
The hot dog that I had had Boris skin on it.
I'll be there tomorrow.
I will be standing outside town.
He's small at 12 o'clock going.
It's so good.
And you can get like you with your mac and cheese.
You can have like I have like crushed rips and panko and parm and chicken in it.
Chicken.
You can have chicken.
You can have tuna.
You can have ham.
It's okay.
Chicken helper.
No.
This is it.
No, do not compare.
No, I'm not.
I'm not.
I'm just saying.
It's like the first like we just saw.
And we're like, what is this?
And we tried it.
And I'm just like, I call them as I'm coming to pick you up.
And I'm like, what do we do to prove it?
Always.
That's what we do.
We do it.
I'm funny.
We do it.
I'm not going to give up on it back and cheese because I'm feeding it, because there's only one other one.
It's like in seat or hill.
The which for those who they're not locals on the other side of town.
Why why we got picked?
I have no idea.
But I'm glad we did great places cool.
So let's do some wrestling talk.
Shall we?
Sure.
Had you heard about this first story.
It's not.
This is not a good story.
I mean, it's getting better, but it was not earlier this week.
If you hear the music in the background buff.
Bagwell.
Calls his girlfriend.
friend and says he's having a seizure. And a friend or wife was he or was wife. I'm sorry.
And as soon as he's talking to her ends up flipping his Jeep multiple times in Atlanta,
Georgia was in ICU with broken bones in his face and neck, which apparently is why he
called her. He said he said he. Yeah. Apparently he knew the seizure was coming. And that's
why he called her. He said, I think something bad is about to happen. He was intubated.
On Wednesday, he was able to open his eyes and move his hands and feet. Today, he was
actually taken off the tube, breathing on his own and eating solid food. That's good.
That's real good news. His mother, if you remember, Judy Bagwell was on was part of an
angle with him at one point. She said that she thanked the fans for all their support.
Like people like DDP and a lot of his old WCW friends had come to the hospital to see him.
She was very, very impressed with all the support from within the industry. Say what you
want to say about Buff Bagwell, you never want anything like this to happen to somebody.
I'm glad he's getting better. We wish him a speedy recovery because it sounded way too
close to the macho man thing to me. Yeah. And we're glad that he's getting better. Yes.
Beth Phoenix. It was released on Tuesday that she was going to go undergo an MRI for the
extent of a ligament strain in her ankle from raw. We found out that was a work. So well
played. And as I watched as I watched raw after I read this, I didn't watch raw till Wednesday
for good reason. She sold it pretty well. But if you watch close enough, if you knew it
was a work, there were a couple of things in that set in that exchange where it's like,
okay, if I watch close enough, I can see she's putting weight on that ankle, but she sold
it. She sold it like a champ. Speaking of which, let's talk about raw. Well, wait,
we've missed something. Oh, yeah, I do that every week. There's one I skipped. Andy
Ray, the silent rage has been released after he did violate the wellness policy and got
suspended. I guess they just couldn't get him up to speed. He finished before he finished
before he even started. Well, did they say what he was? Nobody saying that's the weird
thing. I can't find a reason anywhere. Why he was released. I was released. Yeah, like
you were saying what he did on the wellness. Yeah, like what he violated. It was the
band substance. That's all I knew, which could be any number of things. You'd be marijuana
could be HGH. You know, and we're going to talk about that a little bit later in this segment.
But let's talk raw. The band of charles existence happened this week because charla makes
no bones about the fact that three hour, there's two things about the WWE that absolutely
wear my little sister out. One of them is a three hour raw. The other one is the draft,
which I thought was actually what this was going to be. I actually I love the draft, but
it stresses me to the point to where I'm pulling my hair out. Like it's fallen out. But
is there even a reason for it anymore? No, no, no, it's not. But there was a time when
it was exciting. It was very exciting because it meant something. Yes, but now it's just
really. Well, when there was still something resembling brand separation, but now there's
nothing resembling brand separation. When everything is a super show, it doesn't really matter.
I mean, the first thing I brought on my notes was three hours. Yeah, yeah. But I mean, that's
why I didn't watch this thing till Wednesday because I kept putting it off. I was like, I don't,
I don't want to come into this. I don't want to come into this. I just I can't, I would get
home from work. And I'm just like, oh, I don't want to do this. I didn't get all the way through
it. And there's a point on here where I turned it off. And I said, I've already seen this. I'm
turning it off. Well, see, I got, I got through one city. The only part that was even remotely
entertaining to me was Jericho taking a microphone to the head courtesy of CM Punk during the sobriety
test during the third attempt at the sobriety test. You didn't miss all that much, but he started
doing the, he was walking the red line in the middle of the ring, walking the straight line.
And he actually started moonwalking a street. Wow. And started doing the elephant alphabet
backwards. And about you went, be and then kind of sat there and thought about it for a second,
when A blocked it with a microphone. Because Jericho is trying to be Mr. Lupo like he was in
WCW stripping him to the title. But they, what kills me is he gets in and, and give it to me. I'm
like, they never said it was just going to be. But Lauren, but Lauren said he would. Oh, Lauren,
I said, I never heard of say that. It shows up in the middle of, of the opening scene of promo.
And it acknowledges that his contracts up in three days. Yeah. Which I thought was kind of cool.
He's got to grow the hair back out now. Yeah, he looks creepy. Well, it's because he's got the,
the Shawn Michaels thing now, which we didn't realize until recently, like he's got the, the eyes
don't match. Yes. And you can really tell now that he's got the short hair. So it's the hair that
throws it off. Well, because it detracts you from because it covers him so much. But he's,
got can still kind of promo. Why did he cut the hair? Is he doing a movie? I don't know.
After that last one, he did. I wouldn't be betting money on it. But here's my thing with that
edge promo. Are we, are we trying to force scene of face heat? Is that what we're doing now?
When you, when you book him in a match, like they've booked him in with somebody who was going out
of their way to be the mega monster heal of the promotion. And that's not working either. No.
Because they're both getting a mixed reaction now. Because now they're, now they're going out of
their way. John Cena walked out there and everybody was all cheers this week. And I was like, what
is, what now? That's what I'm saying. I mean, because they're really going out of their way to make
Brock Lesnar an overduce. And let me tell you something. If you were, if you really thought
that that contract signing was going to happen in the beginning of the show, I feel sorry for you.
Something about oceanfront property in Kansas. Yeah. That's not going to happen. You knew that
wasn't going to happen till the end of the three hours. And so why did we even start that to, to give,
to, I think to honestly, because they announced on the website that that, that, that morning,
that it was going to start raw. I was like, it's not going to start raw. It's not stupid with it.
To heap monster heel heat on Lesnar, plain and simple. And apparently it's working because if,
if Cena got a, a, a face pop, yeah, if he's getting a face pop now, it's not making me root for
Cena. No, it's not, it's not even making me root for this match. It's not making me root for this
broad, for this company. No. But if that's what they're trying to do, if they're trying to build
heel heat against Lesnar and somehow wrestle some part of the fun, wrestle some face heat out
of that crowd for Cena. Finally, then I think they probably maybe accomplish their goal.
Because that's the loudest face pop I've ever seen, to get in a long time. We had a pub bear
siding that, um, totally unnecessary. This is where I turned it off, because I was like, didn't
someone already take Paul bearer and beat him up for a little while? At least one edge, wasn't it?
Yeah. Did edge kidnap him? Yeah. He killed him and tried to threaten Kane. I was like,
already seen this. And it didn't work then. And I ain't going to work now. And then Kane like,
did finally find him and then he was in a cooler and then put him back on the cool workers.
Like, I'm not saying this time. He's like, I don't care about my father at all. And I was like,
and bearer already Twitter, don't, you're not going to see me. He said, I'm having too much fun
doing what I'm doing. I'm not going to be a regular fixture on row. I'm like, good, good for that.
To creepy looking. Well, then because, you know, we have to put everybody on the roster on the show
because it's a three hour raw. Three hour raw. I like that little harmony there. Yeah. I'm working.
I'm not working on that. So this happens.
I'm a guy. I'm sick. Okay. First of all, if you believe he owns all those cars,
I feel sorry for you. But if you're going to try to sell that he owns the cars,
do me a solid. Do not put a close up of the camera on the interior of the cars where I can see the
cheaply made seat cover that he has to sit on. So it's not to damage the car itself. That was put
on there by Akami rental company. Not really, but, you know, I was just like, that is so tacky.
You might as well have just put like one of those B things that the taxi drivers use.
Or like a towel or something. Like it was so bad.
And it's Porsche, not Porsche idiots. Who said Porsche?
Well, need you say more than?
You're wrong. I'm so sick of this whole bit. Give the guy a one car,
pivot on him. Come out of that. But the seat cover, does it really sell the bit?
It's just like show the front of the car. It's a pretty car. Yeah, show him getting out of it,
but don't pan around and get all the details. Or when he gets out of it, move the camera,
pull the seat cover, and then show the car. Yeah.
I mean, I'm no Albert Feinstein. However, you don't have your own law for it, but
nor am I David Ohtonger, who classy for not being there. Yes, he was with his fiance or whatever she
is this week with him during her court case. And I make no bones about the fact that I am not a
fan of Jennifer Hudson, because I'm sick of her white watchers commercials. I'm not,
it's not that I'm sick of her white watchers commercials. I think that that Oscar was politically
done by the Academy to thumb their nose at the TV industry, because they hate each other.
But God bless her for going through this. Yeah, she had to leave the courtroom when they started
showing the pictures. And she was the first witness call to the stand. I still think that might be
a scheduling thing now. That maybe she was, she had some prior engagements. And they wanted to
make sure that they got her on the stand. I just, I really hope that this all works out for her.
I do not interview the position she's in with that.
So the Nikki Bella, whose contract expires on Monday and no one's going to renew it, wins the
divas belt. Yeah, enjoy six days as champ. But she's getting a rematch there tomorrow night. Yeah,
even though Beth Phoenix is undergoing an MRI, whatever, I don't get this. Why take it off of her
if you're just going to give it back to her, unless they're not going to give it back to her.
And this next next bullet point, I said to you on the phone last night or a night before last,
we didn't talk about that. Right.
I think this next point, a lot, when it comes to our fair sport, whether it's TNA, whether it's
WWE, no matter what it is. But I thought this more watching this raw that I think I have in years.
I cannot tell you during raw, how many times I thought, my God, this is the only thing on
USA right now. If you're a battery, who's the remote, you don't feel like getting up to change
the channel. That's all you got. This was terrible. Yeah. And this was a go home show before a
paper, not a major, but a paper view. And do we need matches to be sponsored? Did you see this,
Arla? The Jack Swagger Dolph Ziegler versus Brodus Clay and Hornswaggle match.
Was sponsored now granted. Who was sponsored by? It's totally on board. That was a local taco
match. Yes, sir, it was. Is that what that would finally be sponsored by? That would finally
be Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell. That I love there. No, I tried it like two weeks ago.
Oh, you did? Okay, okay. This is one of the greatest things that man has ever made.
It's like taking two things that are already pretty awesome and making them even awesome.
It's like a racist peanut butter cup. Oh my God. That you got your Doritos on on my Taco Bell Taco.
Well, you got your Taco Bell Taco on my Doritos. We're there. Did you keep it in the paper
shell? I did. I took your advice and did you not bite into the paper shell? I did not. Oh,
cheer. I did not. He was so fine. He's going to get a mouth. I was like, no, it's not.
It comes in a paper sleeve like that. I end up biting the paper sleeve, but it wasn't really.
It's not flimsy paper. It's like, but again, it's a bad depth of perception thing.
I actually had to pay attention when I was eating Doritos Locos Taco, so that I didn't do that.
Because believe me, you don't want to do it the other way because you will make your hand a
powdery or cheddar mess. That's so good. It really is. Oh my God. No, no redeeming nutritional value.
What's so ever? But God, is it? I think the next time I try it though, I'm going to try it with the chicken.
Did they do that? You don't order anything you want these days. You probably pay a little bit more,
but I'm going to try it with the chicken. Somebody just told me it's going to be really good. Maybe so.
Maybe you get some little cheeky sauce on it. Anyway, and then the name of all things good.
That's not a nacho bar. In the name of all things good and holy,
I never want to see Hornswaggle on a single it ever again. I never want to see Hornswaggle again.
I want it gone. I don't mind them. This bit kills me. It's just the funcadactyl. It's a shut up.
It's a stupid bit that's got stupider as he's been in that company's tenure.
At least he's not grunting anyone. Oh, is he speaking words now?
Yes, Christmas member. We talked about this on the show.
He won the battle royal on Smackdown, the Christmas Smackdown, and so he got to have a wish
from Santa Claus, and his wish was to be able to speak until he can talk now.
Because remember, he is going to be in the leprechaun reboot as the leprechaun.
Give me a break. Give me a break. Just put him in front of a moving car.
And let me tell you this. Brock Lesnar, could you be more disinterested in this whole bit?
Possibly. I mean, you're going to have your climax of raw at your go-home show.
Be carried by the vocal stylings, or lack thereof, or lack thereof, a Brock Lesnar.
He couldn't read a cue card if you held a stake over it and promised it to him.
This was terrible. He was awful. This was terrible. What was the, what was his misspeak that he did
like 15? He said, if you do not, unless he's demands are made.
Unless he's demands are made, I will not, no, you've already made this mansion.
You just made them want them more on Jack Hole.
Oh, there's so much ink.
You know, I'm not that naive farm boy. Yeah, you are because you can't talk.
He said it like four times. I'm not the same naive farm boy. I was eight years ago.
You're just a knuckle of drag and troggle that died that can't talk.
Simple Brock. Punch him in the throat.
Would you burp your hand?
Yeah. Well, maybe if I had like an anvil that I could throw at him.
Just, you know, hit him in a crowbar.
Repeatedly, not one of those fake ones that they use underneath the man either.
And I told you this on the phone.
And I'm going to say this publicly.
This will go down as the biggest debacle Vince has done since Sin Cara.
And like I said, especially if five million dollars a year, especially if he pulls his
trapezius tomorrow night or something and he's out for, you know, nine, 12.
Did I mention five million dollars a year that I mentioned that?
Five million. You got it.
They're paying him five million dollars for one year.
For very, for very 30 appearances for a very limited work schedule.
And, and extreme rules will be four or five.
So we may not see him again till summer slam.
That might be a blessing.
No, no, no, might about it.
It will be a blessing.
Let's move on. Talk a little impact.
Check your DVR starting May the 31st.
Impact will air an hour earlier at eight o'clock eastern instead of nine.
They think it's going to be better for the ratings.
You want to know what's better for the ratings?
Do a decent program.
Hogan.
Oh my god.
I'm going to, I'm going to say this next one.
I want to bring the music down so many people in the cheap seats can hear it.
We had the very first open fight night that we talked about on the show last week.
Oh, and this, and this went well, right?
I'll be honest with you.
This show is more entertaining than wrong.
Oh, really?
Well, but that hates saying much because the bar was on the floor.
Um, one of the things was every, every week a, a title will be defended.
And every open fight night, a title will be defended.
So this week on impact Hogan Habitat titles currently held by Samoa Joe and Magnus.
Defended.
He picked four tag teams and he eliminated one tag team as the show went on.
The choices were Daniels and Kazarian, the Motor City Machine Guns,
Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson and ODB in Air Count.
Jeff Hardy's not jail yet.
He's in TNA, isn't that close enough?
Too safe.
Oh, that's hell, that jail.
Hogan's going through all the champions.
You're talking about Gail Kim, your gray, blah, blah, blah.
He gets to Samoa Joe and Magnus.
And I swear to you as I am sitting here.
He refers to Samoa Joe and Magnus as the greatest tag team of all time.
I had to rewind it to make sure I heard that correct.
I'm at a loss.
I'm like, there's such a thing as selling it, but there's also such a thing as completely overselling it.
Like, Hogan's lost his mind.
Why would you even say that?
When you've got beer money, when you've got, you don't have your money.
Well, but you've got the Motor City Machine Guns, the best tag team in the industry right now.
When you've got, you know, the, uh,
that they have both Dudley Boys working on that fact that they're not, they haven't been a tag team over a year.
But still, he did, but you did say he said the greatest tag team of all time, right?
He did, he did, he did, and he's got both parties working over there.
No, just one.
No, just one.
Matt doesn't have a job.
Uh, Matt's probably fixing to go to jail.
Oh, that's right.
And Reb, he's guy still with him.
So there's that.
Matt's going to jail now.
Oh, yeah, he's, he's looking at drug charges.
Or is it a DUI or something like that?
It was a DUI.
But, you know, I'm sorry that I've got to put, you know,
a hardy boys or the Dudley Boys or Agent Christian
in that, on that level before I'll even think about this failed chemistry experiment of Samoa Joe and Magnus.
So apparently, um, angles face now.
I don't know where we're going with that moving on.
Um,
Borash.
Did this open fight night?
He challenges Eric Fishoff.
Eric Fishoff ends up distracting him while
Bubba Ray comes up from behind and hits him in the little JB's.
Can we stop one thing in the sport, please?
Or everybody has to come out and say,
here with the greatest fans in the sport of professional wrestling.
Let me explain something to you.
People get into that free when they're at universal studios.
Have the people in there don't have any idea what they're watching.
That is why you have to pump in crowd noise every week.
And pay attention.
You'll hear the pattern because we did one night.
It was when they were on the road.
And I was just like, are you kidding me?
Stop this.
So you don't have to buy tickets.
No, you want you want your in universal studios?
If you're there on the day of a taping, it's free.
Well,
and they wonder why the company's losing money.
Take this thing on the road.
Packing him deep and hoping to interview this week
that he has been pushing for over a year for them to do it live.
He has been pushing for over a year and the network won't budge.
I think the network is probably just coming out on the smarter end.
No, do the show live.
Because when I know the next two weeks of impact in two days,
that hurts your ratings.
I just I just think it's so funny that
coming from a guy who was had the company of WCW on his shoulders
that gave the results away of raw on the air.
Now raw can do the same thing.
Even more reason.
Yeah.
Robby T who robbed Rob Rob uh
Can you remember his last name?
Tardashian?
No.
The from the British invasion that he is he's with Robby E.
But as Rob Terry, the really really big dude.
Uh he's like the valet for for Jersey Shore guy.
Oh god.
The other day or this past week, this past Thursday on, on impact.
Robby E is coming to the ring.
And Rob Terry carries this clipboard because it says the list on it.
It's like if you're not on the list, you can't come near him.
He walks over to the crowd and he does the whole puts his hand out to stop people
from from reaching for him.
He pulls a Ralfus.
That's exactly what I thought.
Robby T is the new Ralfus.
And you know what that means?
I am greater than Robby T because there's a sign in this too.
It says I am greater than Ralfus.
So Rob is greater than Rob.
Okay.
And he spells it wrong anyway.
I just love the whole Ralfus.
Any any head and they have this match.
And I think Robby T botched the ending
because right in the middle of the match,
there was this weird cut to the crowd.
And it wasn't like a crowd shot where people were like,
yeah, she did that.
What happened to that?
It was just a random shot of people looking at the ring.
And then we cut back to the ring.
I think he botched the ending and they didn't know how to edit it.
And you wonder why they won't let it go live.
There you go.
Last thing on on impact real quick.
We all remember how
Bischoff was unceremoniously
written out of raw, right?
Written out of raw.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
Out of the W.A.B.
Didn't they throw him in a garbage?
They did.
Yeah.
So Thursday night because after lethal lockdown,
Bischoff can't use the name anymore.
He has to go away forever.
So what did he create of geniuses at T and A.D.?
Throw him in a porta potty.
And then tip it over.
That's creative.
Yeah.
That's disgusting.
So there's that.
This comes from the girl that I wouldn't saw Jack S3D with.
That's a valid point.
That man has a valid point.
It's still disgusting.
And one of the one of the one of the high points of that show was
Steve Owen, a budget fortified.
So
moving on to things like it.
Things moving on to a Smackdown nature.
Ray Mysterio now suspended 60 days for a whirlwind.
It's probably wise.
Give him his walking papers for the love of God.
You've got Alberto Del Rio now.
How long have we been screaming for them to let this guy go?
Kevin Nash says on Twitter, he does not want to be in the hall of fame.
He says, and I quote, H-O-F means nothing to me.
If I die before it, I've asked my wife to pass.
Nothing against it or WWE, but if Pete Rose ain't in Cooper's town.
Oh, come on.
So when I see the Axel Rose arrest, there's more.
I don't need it to validate my life.
I wake every morning to the side of the ocean.
For a Detroit boy, I am already in.
I watched it this year from up close, but don't need to stress.
I love the WWE.
Just love me more.
90% of my shoutouts are gone.
Not cool.
I guess he's saying 90% of the people that he would think in his speech are no longer with us.
Let me think.
Sean?
Yeah, I'm talking about people that they probably come up with.
That's just what he said on Twitter.
Somebody asked him if he was drunk and he said no.
He did not pull a curtain.
No, just bitter.
And for Smackdown, I got nothing because there was nothing on that show that I cared about.
There was literally nothing on Smackdown that I saw
and outside of Teddy Wong wearing a really weird maids outfit that I found to be very creepy.
I will say this.
Claudio Castignoi did not look good in his premiere.
He did not.
So, somebody else will forget about in a day.
And really, I mean, let's be honest,
I've really got nothing for Major League Baseball updates.
Nothing really happened this week that maybe we should talk about that, Pudge.
We talked about that last week.
Am I the only one that does this show?
Well, but he did the whole...
Yeah, he did the...
But we talked about it on the show last week because when he did the whole deal,
where he threw the second, that happened on Friday of last week.
Yeah, but they covered it in the media this week is what I'm saying.
Pudge is retired. He's a ranger.
Satisfied.
Thank you.
I guess so.
And I still haven't had the boomstick though.
I don't know.
Somebody post...
Who was that?
Was David.
The poster pictures of the guy next to him that was eating that thing.
I think he bought it.
If somebody...
If somebody funds it, I will take it on.
Because it's $28.
God almighty.
I think he was like giving a running commentary.
Okay, then.
No, it wasn't, David.
It was John.
If somebody will carry it for me too much, I'll do it.
Yeah, it was John.
John, we've got a guy in the chat room
that witnessed this thing being consumed.
John, did you do that?
No, he didn't do it.
He was taking pictures of it.
He didn't even witness it.
I'm not going to miss that.
He was doing the running commentary too.
Okay, he's up.
He's probably on his way.
For those of you that don't know,
the boomstick dog is a brand new item at the ballpark in Arlington.
That is a hot dog,
literally the size of a baseball bat.
With cheese, jalapenos,
and onions and chili, right?
They ought to call it the widow maker.
Is what they ought to do.
They ought to call it...
Call a plumber because you're going to need
one.
Did you see that story about the couple who got the ball
and didn't give it to the little boy?
Yeah, yeah, I saw a picture of it.
A horrible, terrible people.
I'm like, oh my god.
We're doing this again.
Let's do a little TV news.
Congratulations to the Kardashian family.
Oh, how lucky for us.
Another three years on...
worth 40 million dollars.
I'm glad you guys watched that network
because they're the main...
one of the main reasons why I won't.
I watched the soup because I like the soup.
Outside of that, I'm done.
I only watched Chelsea lately.
I just don't like her.
She has some very, very bad things to say about the WWE
and it just kind of sits badly with me.
Yeah, but the things that she was saying were very unfounded.
Like, if you're going to talk a bad about somebody,
at least have some facts to back it up.
Shard Hayes.
What is this playing for?
This is, I don't know, I just want to hear it.
Okay, very excited about this next item.
Is this what I think it is?
This is exactly what you think it is, sir.
Oh my god!
Sci-Fi channel.
Who, by the way, they're getting sued by the people
who made battleship for...
Not them, but the...
whoever does, they're really bad movies.
Um...
The asylum?
Yeah.
Paramount's suing them for their really bad version of battleship
that they're putting on Sci-Fi.
Sci-Fi will be doing a mini-series based on a Stephen King book
called Eyes of the Dragon.
One of the first good books I haven't read.
Be more excited.
Charles, do you know anything about this?
I don't.
I read this back in high school.
Back in the day, when Stephen King was really at his height.
Let's just say mid 80s, 86, 87th.
Yeah.
He was putting one of his kids to bed.
And one of his kids said to him,
Daddy, why can't you write a book that we can read together?
And so what he did is he wrote this book called The Eyes of the Dragon,
which is a fairy tale.
Kind of like his take on the Lord of the Rings.
And it is wonderful.
Yeah.
It is a wonderful, wonderful book.
And I've just, for years, I'm like,
why has no one done this film?
They are doing this.
Because he's had half a mini-series.
He's had half a mini-series.
He's had half a mini-love of his book's done like more than once now.
I'm like, we can't get this one on the screen.
In any form?
I just hope they do it right.
But it's sci-fi, so it's going to be a mini-series.
So I'm a, but you know what, they're,
they're medieval stuff, Merlin.
Doing very well.
Yeah.
That we don't.
I'm very excited about that.
We know Stephen King's track record for stuff like this.
Oh, I'm so excited.
It worries me.
For a minute, the mini-series do tend to be pretty well,
but what they do is for fans of Big Brother,
it will be returning on July the 12th.
Never watched it.
Well, I watched the first season.
I watched the first season as well, yeah.
It makes me ashamed of humanity.
My guitar player watches it.
Shout out to you, Kenny Belcher.
HBO has renewed real-time with Bill Mar for two more seasons.
So two more seasons of that R-Swip.
Seacrest also re-upping with American Idol for the next two years,
and now also signing a deal to be a special,
oh, I thought that was Metal World Peace doing commentary for a man.
That's Jalen Rose.
Seacrest also signing a deal with the today show to be a special correspondent.
I'm telling you.
I'm telling you.
There's part of the Illuminati, too.
He is a, um, oh,
Jon says about the Boomstick Dog.
A lot of people mainly guys were eating him.
He saw six of them in his section alone.
I think they said something like they sold over 150 of them on opening day.
I'm surprised I didn't sell more of that.
But uh, Seacrest, I honestly believe,
is either has clones or he is a robot.
Because that dude does too much to ever be able to sleep.
It's a hologram image, everything.
No, he's going to be the next at Clark.
I know that's who he wants to be.
And boy, is he aligning his,
the stars or aligning friends do pretty much do exactly that.
But, and you know what, say what you want about Seacrest,
I like the guy.
I got the reason to hate him.
Sometimes I feel so bad for his little partner on the first American Idol.
You're just like, where did that guy go?
He's still a comedian.
And he just got a raw interview.
Well, Dunkleman was a bad fit for that show.
He walked from what they,
did he walk away?
Was he told to walk away?
No, I believe he was fired.
Okay.
And see, and I remember, I remember Seacrest back.
What do you remember in the original iteration of G4?
It went through like, oh, it was tech TV.
It was, before that, it was like CNET.
It was like CNET television.
And Seacrest was the host of a show called The Web.
Along with AJ Hammer,
who I've seen recently do entertainment correspondence.
Oh, he's, he's, he does the, uh,
showbiz tonight.
I'm CNN there forever.
Well, they were both on CNET TV.
That was the first thing I saw them doing outside of their,
I guess they were like, kiss FM DJ.
Well, I know he was a kiss FM DJ in LA.
You know, apparently according to Wikipedia, he quit.
He, uh, in appearances on the Howard Stern Show,
he insisted he intended to leave Idol to pursue a career
and stand up comedy and acting.
But in 2008, Dunkleman admitted to stern
at leaving the show as a mistake.
You think?
So because Seacrest is a force of nature
and you're an, you're an, you're an afterthought.
Stern compared him to Pete Best.
Hey, you know,
Dunkleman conceded that he experienced
several months of depression,
also harbored resentment against Seacrest,
but has come to terms with his situation.
Well, if he walked away, he's going to be able to blame it himself.
He's got pictures of Seacrest like on his wall
and just starts at it every night.
John laces out, laces out.
He's like Ryan Seacrest, he can't die.
We do have somebody new in the chat room.
I have not seen, uh,
WWE response says we're lagging a little bit.
Yeah, there is a seven second delay.
Oh, okay.
Between live and what you guys here.
Who, who, what's the screen name?
WWE response.
Oh, oh.
And, uh, John says the King's just beat the blues.
So LA beating St. Louis in game one of these Stanley Cup playoffs.
What the, it's better this next story.
So I think I can come up with, uh,
oh, oh, Chloe 70
is in talks to play the rival to Jessica Lang
on season two of American horse love, right?
She was like on S.V.U.
Not.
Yes, she was.
I'll really, the great Chloe 70.
So I think, you know,
they're trying to load the gun in season two of that show,
which is one of your personal favorite.
I like the first season, but
I just, it just weird to me because it's almost like
they're going anthology style to where they're just
completely rewriting the rulebook with the next season.
But you know what?
It's something different.
And what do we clamor for on this show?
I know.
Something different.
But I mean, they were already something different.
I don't think they have to trick it up that much
when they completely re-cast everybody.
Congratulations to the people at Fringe.
They are going to get one more final season,
13 more episodes.
It's it for them.
Is that the Dawson's Creek Boy?
Yes, the Joshua Jackson.
And congratulations.
They're Michelle Geller and Freddie Prince Jr.,
expecting their second child,
they announced the other day.
They've been married for over 10 years now.
Good for them.
She's gorgeous.
He's hot.
She was, um, my, my first almost wife.
So
in his mind.
And then she got with Jury O'Connell.
And I'm like, I can't compete with that.
So that being said,
we are going to move on to a little bit of NFL news.
These Saints' woes are continuing.
Mickey Loomis now being accused
from the U.S. Attorney's office now.
Being accused of wiretapping up coaching coaches booths
to hear what they're talking about.
This was in the 2004 to 2006 seasons
before the Super Bowl run.
Jeez.
Poor guy.
Poor guy.
Well, and then now Joe, Joe Vitt,
who's the the interim coach,
because they're going to have to have an interim
interim coach comes out and says,
oh, this is this is false.
This is terrible.
He like compared it to,
he made like a Star Wars reference
that made no sense at all.
What do you mean?
In a press conference.
Come over, but I was like, why,
what does this have to do with Star Wars?
But you know what, dude,
you're already in trouble for Lyon.
So what credence do you bring to the table?
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying?
So there's that.
The draft wrapping up this weekend.
No major surprises.
Although I was a little taken aback
to see that the Lions took
Boise State quarterback, Killin Moore.
Why does that surprise you?
I just, I forgot he was coming up.
But I mean, with the year Stafford had,
I mean, he had a decent year.
I guess they're trying to load the gun up a little bit,
especially since they just signed Megatron
to that huge deal.
Megatron.
We'll be mentioning him later.
I think we will be.
Congratulations, stealer fans.
You've got Byron left-witch for a year.
So there's that.
And I read another, another report
just yesterday.
The NFL is talking after this year
of getting rid of the Pro Bowl.
Good.
It's dead weight.
Is there all you have any feelings on that?
I have no idea what the Pro Bowl is.
Is the all-star game that they play after the Super Bowl?
In Hawaii.
I never understood what it's after.
But because they used to be,
this year it wasn't.
This year was the week between.
But usually, usually they do it
so that the guys playing in the Super Bowl can play in the Pro Bowl.
Because if you play in the Super Bowl,
and you're not going to play in the Pro Bowl,
if it's the week between the championship game in the Super Bowl.
Because you're risking,
you're putting yourself at risk and don't have it.
If it's, if it's that thing of a risk,
then don't do it at all.
Yeah.
That's what I don't understand.
This is something that the player should want to do.
But if they have to be talked or coerced into it,
cut it loose.
They don't want it bad enough.
This is just pointless that after the Super Bowl is over,
let's have another game.
That's just dumb.
To me, it was always just an excuse
for the NFL to make a little bit more money
and get people to book flights to Hawaii.
It's pointless.
It's just really good.
The game for the fans can nobody afford to go to Hawaii?
No, exactly.
There's never more than like two or three thousand people there.
Anyway, yeah.
And they're just,
did you know speaking of which,
and then we're gonna go back to baseball.
So, this is a stat for you.
The Mets.
You know, meet the Mets.
Yes.
Greet the Mets.
Come on out and beat the Mets.
Yeah.
You know how many season ticket holders they have this year?
35.
7,000.
7,000.
But I'll tell you another, another harrowing stat
that I saw this week.
There is now not a waiting list for season tickets
for the Indianapolis Colts.
Oh, man.
I read that this week and I'm like,
oh, you know, I wish you had looked up to the stat
of how many season ticket holders the Yankees have
just as a comparison.
About 140,000.
And Charlotte hates all of them.
Hate them all.
Hit by a bus, please.
Thank you.
I'll be driving the bus.
So, that's all we got.
And then I felt like not a lot this week.
Let's go on to just a little bit of technology corner
because we only have a little bit of that.
Before you switch,
were you guys disappointed by the draft?
You know what?
Unfortunately, working nights,
I didn't get to watch much of it.
And I don't really don't fall in love with that.
And for me,
the first two rounds are the only things
that I really pay attention to.
John says the dolphins have 30,000
season ticket holders.
Which is about not even a third of that stadium.
You watch it for the first 15 or 16 picks.
Like the first round went really fast this year.
Yeah.
Like I looked up at nine o'clock central
and it was done.
The first round was over.
And two years ago,
when I sat with Cody at his house
and watched the draft,
as it was when Tiva was drafted,
I didn't leave his house almost midnight
and it was just the first round.
They said this was the quickest first three picks ever
because everybody knew what they were going to be.
Well, the first two,
the third one people were like,
really Minnesota?
Taking an offensive tackle?
But we all knew it was going to go luck RG-3.
I mean, that was...
And that's something I don't like about the draft.
I don't like how they announced that.
Well, we're doing it.
I like it when you don't know,
you know, they're my piece.
Maybe they're going to go RG-3.
Maybe they're going to go luck.
Having that, having that mystery.
But when they announced it two days before,
this is what we're doing.
Takes away from it.
Yeah.
A little bit of technology corner.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
We are live every Saturday night,
eight o'clock of the East Coast,
five o'clock on the West Coast.
If you miss any portion of the show,
it is archived almost immediately
after we get off air.
We appreciate every one of you that listen to our show
each and every week.
Follow the show on Twitter at ClubhouseShow.
Like the show on Facebook.
Clubhouse Podcast.
You can follow me on Twitter.
Yes, that Rob Urban, ERVIN.
And I am at ChadNPG69.
Charlotte Parker on Pinterest.
Only if you're in the Illuminati.
Let's do technology corner.
Really only thing that really caught me this week.
Unless you've got anything to add.
I do.
Apple reports that in the second quarter
of their fiscal year,
they sold 35 million iPhones.
God.
Two thirds of this room are on that list.
Yeah.
I almost was on that list.
I've got an iPod touch,
but I don't have an iPhone.
What'd you want to add, sir?
Apparently, there's still an issue
with the pending release of the Wii U this holiday season.
Really?
That, uh,
it's bigger than the Wii U.
A little disappointed the more I'm learning about it.
Well, yeah.
Does that awesome controller?
You can only use one.
Really?
Only one at a time can be used.
Well, there's apparently they're talking about anything
that's published first party.
By Nintendo,
you've got the option to either buy it in the store
or downloading the thing directly into your console.
Yeah.
The question is,
where are we going to store all this stuff?
Yeah, because you can't put external storage on it.
That's, I mean, they've yet to really,
you know, make a firm announcement of what they're doing.
What's their storage media going to be?
Because the best we could do on the Wii
was an SD card.
Yeah, and those would get like six gigs or something.
Yeah, so stupid like that.
I mean, I think I've seen maybe a 32,
which ain't bad,
but it's about a hundred bucks for the darn thing.
It's just ridiculous.
That, you know,
I think they're going to paint themselves into a corner.
Unless they get some sort of an
upgradable hard drive situation like the 360's got.
They're going to be
side note.
Subway, I do enjoy this new barbecue chicken sandwich
that they're doing,
but you can't make me care about battleship no matter how much you try.
Now,
anything else?
No, that's it.
All right, let's do a little just a little bit of on campus.
There's not much to talk about this week.
Arkansas has a new head coach.
His name is John L. Smith, formerly of Weber State.
Also spent time at Michigan State.
By the way, he was at Weber State for four and a half months,
and he went there from Arkansas.
Oh, that's thinking, but that's thinking.
Okay, but that's thinking.
What is he, the boomerang guy?
I am operating under the assumption that
he didn't want to be there.
Well, what's his name was there?
But you know what, if you're Weber State,
or you're really that ticked, I mean, maybe,
I mean, how many kids went,
ooh, John L. Smith's the head coach.
I'm going there.
Breaking your, breaking your pins,
getting it out of your pocket,
assign that letter of adept.
I can't wait to play for this guy.
Just a bunch of people just went, who?
Huh?
I'm responding to the chat room.
Oh.
And that's, I mean, that's really all I've got on campus.
We're just in a very, very slow time.
You know, we're in that time where really the spring games are over.
We're waiting for the college world series,
which isn't for another month.
There's just not much going on.
This is a low point.
You know, we got, we got basketball on the playoffs.
We got hockey on the playoffs.
Baseball's waiting for them to get done,
so they can be the only game in town for about six weeks.
There's that.
Which means the street light is on, indeed.
Charlie, do you like the new list theme?
I do, yes.
Six.
I heard it last week.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
I'm going to get in and get settled.
I'll stretch a little bit.
Because I definitely got your attention with this one,
because it's about to go down.
It's all I'm saying.
Interesting choice this week, sir.
Let's go ahead and speak to the kids.
Well, I was going to go one direction,
and then I was going to go another direction.
And then my research of going in the other direction,
I stumbled across this particular one.
I'm like, you know what?
I'm doing it.
And hold on to that other one.
Do that one?
Yeah.
Next time you have the list.
Yeah, I like to I like to go through that much as well. Okay, but
For those of you that know Rob and I specifically
Well, as some of you should you say most of you that are listening should
Know that we are huge fans of any and all things
Animation where kids at heart always what I was happy. I was well. Yes
I'm using this and
This plays really heavily into it. It's I think these people don't get enough credit for the work for the work that they do
Yeah, well, yeah, but you know a lot of people just don't even know. I mean, have you revealed the list yet? No, okay
But it is the in my opinion the top 10 voice actors now now that you said that
There are two professions in this world
That you can be up a billionaire and live in relative obscurity. Uh-huh songwriting and voice acting. Yeah
I mean my sister actually went to work went to work went to school with the high school
Graduated local here at Miss in Mesquite high school that does this I would love to do this as a bit
I mean, he what we have a new supervisor at work who just got involved with a
Voice over community. Oh really?
I'm trying to have him help me get into he probably knows that is something that I want to get into
I mean my my sister went to school with the guy that's the that was the voice of two Nami Tom
He does the voice work for Krillin on Dragon Ball Z. So man's got skins on the wall
Yeah, got a resume and a phenomenal artist phenomenal comic book artist
Anyway, let's get it. Let's get it rolling all right number 10
In case occasion and everything I say sounds the same and your first instinct whenever you hear that guy's name
And you hear that voice as you think American top weekly top 40 but and it's I love
If you dig a little bit you will realize that this guy was actually the voice of
Shaggy, yep, he was also the voice up Robin from the super friends from the super friends
Zoying school. Yeah, I mean when you think about that you're like yeah, I like that. Okay. That's Casey Casey
Tim or Casey Kaseem. He's also now
Yeah, he's I mean, that's that's just a couple of examples of the stuff that this guy's done, but
Number nine, I mean believe me. I really didn't know like the lot of half of this list
I really don't have in any particular order because it's really hard for me to put her I
Really didn't know where to place her because she's this woman is incredibly versatile. Been around for a long time. Trust me, Neil
I have to have her autograph. I know you do on a hat. Yes, that my mom actually stood in line for like three hours
And
Those of you that may not recognize that name. Well, you recognize her as the voice of dot Warner from the Animaniacs
We'll always love that name because a lot of people know where that name comes from
Warner brothers used to be called dot Warner productions. That's why they named her that
She was also
Babs Bunny on tiny tunes another great show one of my personal favorite and she's the current voice of Daisy duck
On what's it called it the looney tune show now or no not a look no Daisy duck. Oh Daisy duck the other side of the fence right
This man here
I
The list is long and distinguished and I personally am offended that he is this far down the list again, sir
I just you know, I had to revise the list
There were actually three other people on this list and I was like no, I got to put him on it
And I didn't really shuffle the order to me actually dude
He's number two. He is number two. He is number two in my number two
Because this man was such a part of my job so many people's childhood and adulthood now
The great late great Jim Henson. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. I mean, we don't have time. Hey, who can we be broke here? I mean
Kermit Ernie
We can go on for we can go on for days and in the same breath do I need to play rubber ducky? No, no, no
In the same breath you can't mention Jim Henson without mentioning the equally amazing Frank Oz
Well, they go that's almost a one in one eight. Yeah, I mean, it's I mean with him being the voice of Grover
Fuzzy Miss Piggy
But you did it anyway. This is a rubber ducky
Oh
Well, so we go from Jim to to Frank now
But let's also not forget that he's also the voice of the greatness of Yoda
Yes
Remember that we shall and Lord Chamberlain from the dark crystal. Let's not forget that when he's such a good movie. Yes
And since we mentioned Star Wars
One of my favorite voiceover jobs of all time is James Earl Jones's Darth Vader
I said this on many many occasions the reason God doesn't talk to people is he gave his voice box that James Earl Jones
And when James Earl Jones dies God will talk to people and you know that man had a stutter. Yep, so did Samuel Jackson uh-huh
So one of the great I mean and in the same you know, Mufasa
I just I remember watching something sometime when somebody walked up to him and said could you just say this is CNN for me one time?
And that too, you know, and when he's a voice of 18 be hot
He was also the voice of 18t for a while if I'm not mistaken
And spoiler alert the end of sneakers one of the greatest cameos of all time. Oh really?
Did you not see sneakers that Robert Redford now dude
Do yourself a solid that movie is awesome
I also dug him in the in the Jack Ryan films. I really dug him in in the hunt for red October
Went in a much, but what he was in I don't know what surname says all she wants is uh, it was uh
River Phoenix peace on peace on earth goodwill. No, it was uh the blind guy peace on earth goodwill towards men
He goes where the he goes whoa little federal government. We can't do that
And let's not forget him in the sand and redford goes just don't know where
I was like you need to see if that's only in circuit when you get home tonight wash sneakers. Okay, it's a I mean Robert Redford's Dan
Robert Dan Acquard river Phoenix
Uh, James. Well, he's it. Who's that lady? I can't remember the lady's name. She it's somebody you're not a lady
How late lady? I just love his line in the sand like you're not in trouble. You're dead. Will you stand?
He was also in Conan
Oh, it's also dude
I just never will forget whenever he said where would you be without me my son you halfway expected
Go ahead and look to the sky say why didn't you tell me I'll be one
Anyhow
Number five. It was a tie because
Both of these guys there would not be one without the other
Well, I guess they're kind of wood but
Kevin Conroy as yeah, you can't have one of these uh, yeah with the characters they played these we talked about this in pre-show
The characters they played you can't have one without the other Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamilton is freaking back
Yeah as Batman and the Joker respectively
They have him I said he's not ever gonna do that was yeah after after his tent after his tent in Arkham City
The last game that they released because Conroy's been playing him in the games too how much how much did your brain explode when you realized
That was Mark Hamill when I saw his name in a credits
I was like the first time I watch it back in 92. I'm like
Who is this guy doing and I'm doing it dead on and I'm like wait that Mark Hamill
Yeah, I mean how many Mark Hamill's can there be and then the first time I actually saw him do the voice on television
Yeah, no not just the voice the laugh. Yeah, that freaked me the heck out. Oh and Kevin Conroy is Batman
Yeah, he note like he owns that people may say it's Christian belt. Uh-uh people may say it's Michael Keaton uh-uh
Adam West thinks it's him. No, that'd be on the admin series when it's Kevin Conroy
Number four number four
Frank Wilker
Not gonna hear me debate show. Yeah, the voice of Megatron Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget and
Hello gadget and
Fred of the mystery game
Believe it is game believe it or not. It's the same guy
Megatron did a lot of animal voices. Yes, but also did a lot of animal voices on Animaniacs. Yeah, and
uh
He's also the voice of uh was speaking of animal voices the voice of Abu in a lat
Abu or is it Abu or Abu? Abu is on the Simpson. It's yeah
And actually that got an honorable mention on this list
The guy that does the guy that does the voice of Abu because he's incredible. It's um
Hank is area. Yes. Yeah
You would just do the voice cast of the Simpson. Yeah, I just leave that. Yeah, because I or Seth McCartley
Castellanetta, you know speaking of Aladdin. He took over for Robin Williams for the genie and whenever I went to the animated series
and
By the same token. Yeah, I probably could have done four and three in one category
But no, you really can't because as long as these guys have been doing this. Yeah Peter Cullen
And I've been and again, this is a name that you're like who? Huh
Don't need to say the first day the first one the voice of Optimus Prime. Yep
Still the voice of Optimus. Yeah, because they didn't even get frank welcome to come back to do Megatron
They got I thought for the second one they did. No, no, it's it's it's been um. Oh, it's um Hugo weaving you're weeping
You're right, but and I didn't realize this to look to don't look it up on IMDB
I love and I know I'm in the minority here. I love the 1976 remake of King Kong
I know with Jessica line you with Jessica Lang and Jeff Bridges. She didn't know me for an Oscar
For best supporting actress. Yeah, I know she got a golden glove for best newcomer
Golden Globe nomination for best newcomer, but uh, he was the he was the voice of Kong
I'm like, I had no idea. I just thought it was just animal voices, but no, it's it's it's him doing Kong
He was also the original voice of Mario as in yes that Mario as in Super Mario
And uh, he was the voice of the he was the voice of the predator
In the predator film it's like and he's also the current voice and he's been the voice for quite some time now of EOR
Number two, I had to put him on this list because he's with you on the King Kong. Yeah
Uh, because there was actual Oscar talk for this performance
Of you're not gonna hear me debate. Uh, I don't know number two ever, but he's definitely on top that well
Because I was I'm not putting this cat up of Jim Henson. I don't care who you are
Well, if for no other reason because of the Oscar buzz for Andy circus as gollum
It pretty. She's I mean he creeped you out on a level that people
I can't I can't wait some of it some flesh and blood actor
And we didn't even we didn't even address that movie talking about that flack that came up in in in the uh
It'll work itself in the screening. They call it work itself
But number one
There was no other choice
There cannot ever be any other choice you put anybody from a voice actor care category above this man
I am screaming sacrilege
Of course we are talking about the incomparable male blind god rest is so
I mean again, although he did he also prompted one of the greatest. Can we do that play that bit?
Do you have that bit Bob and Tom Bay
Go ahead
Because the amount of chewing it up right now because the amount of voice voices that this guy created
Way too long to just name it just go down the Warner Brothers original roster. Yeah bugs daffy silvestre
Tweety all of them. I mean all of them. They were all him
With very few exception. I mean they were all him
That's the list. Yeah, what played sir there was a couple I wanted to put on like Borskala for doing the Grinch
uh
Thoreau Ravenscroft were also singing the the Grinch song and also being the voice of Tony the Tiger
Tony the Tiger one of these guys on this list was 2k and Sam I can't remember who the guess is one of the NASCAR race right now
Smoke
Smoke is winning
Um and Hank is area and when Dan Castlin and we're also
Very very high up. I would put Seth if you did a top 20 episode for Seth. Thank follow up was probably probably nice when you're watching the the pop-up
Commentary for it's a trap
And it counts the number of voices he does in the episode is like 27 different voices
Well, and you know you really can't sneeze too hard is Seth green either. Yeah, he's done a lot of voice up work too
Unless you're talking about the last season of robot chicken I can sneeze all over that
But that's the list. Thank you. Well done, sir. Thank you, sir. And that's gonna do it for the show
uh

They're like classical masterpieces, but all with the Warner Brothers characters in them. It's great
Like bugs bunny touch in the hand of you know daffy duck of god. This is the last do they have the last supper?
I think he does all the guys on the one side of the table. That's right. I fall kind of like horn
