any reason. No time clock. Literally because we don't have a clock on the wall. You're having to

about that because one of the biggest beat downs to me in the world is buying a car. When you say
no pressure, no, no, haggle, I'm on board. I'm already in. Yeah, it's one thing that turns people
off from the car is especially the new car. You know, they corner you. Nobody wants to be cornered.
They won't do that there. Pressure free environment. You're in beautiful Canton, Texas. So drive
to East Texas and save. Excellent, excellent, excellent. One of the things we do, we get a lot of
feedback from friends of ours and people who listen to the show. We have a couple of corrections
from last week. We're going to go through. First one is Frank Thomas. We talked about him a
little bit last week. Our good friend Lonnie sent us some information about Frank Thomas. We asked
him to and he did. He did. He did lose to Toronto in the ALCS in 1993. I know I said 91 or 92. And you
know what I did that because he's an Auburn guy. Yeah, Alabama guy. He never emails in.
So we don't expect any any Bama Crimson Tide stats. No, okay. Also says Frank was in the 2005
team, but he only played 28 games. So he doesn't think he got a ring on that. I'm tired of
ringless. Wow. It's hard to believe that. Thank you, Lonnie, for that. Also one more correction
from last week. We talked about a new album from Drew Hill. That was released in Drew Pendence
day. Our good friend Brandon. Let me know through an email that they are from Baltimore,
not Atlanta. So we want to make that correction as well. Now that we've got the business out of
the way, let's get to the stuff that we do every week. For as long as we're here, we hope you
tune in. We do have somebody that has just tuned into the show. We have one viewer. Thank you for
joining us. First things first, we go to sports. We always go to the greatest sport known to man.
And that is football. This is Hall of Fame weekend, which means yeah, it's the beginning of the
preseason, but it's still the Hall of Fame at the end. Yeah, it's a big deal. I don't compare this
to baseball to me. Baseball is the hardest hall of fame to get into. I agree. That was what
two weeks ago. Yeah, Andre Dawson. This is a good, this is a, there's some guys on this list.
If you're familiar with them, there's going to be some people that you're going to ask yourself,
okay, how come they're not in and this and then and he is and this, that and the other two of them.
Actually, one of them was a lock five years after he was pro. And I'm talking about Jerry Rice.
Absolutely. Real quick, bio on him, wide receiver checked in at six to 200 pounds. Wow.
Just think how small that is compared to your Antoine Valdens and Tio's in those guys and
Quonbolt and Quon, excuse me. Yeah, I mean, that was he was a skinny dude. I mean, and he was never
known for being the beefiest guy in the field, but brother, I'm going to tell you what, he had hands
and you blink, you're missing. Yeah, he was, he was, he was heck out there. Play college at a small
Mississippi Valley State. Yes, sir. 16th pick overall. As I remember, I'm sure if you're a cowboy
fan, you remember, he spent a big bunch of his time with the San Francisco 49ers from 85 to 2000.
Then I'm, you know, Tio came in and they were going another direction and he went off to Oakland
and had three extremely productive seasons in Oakland and finished up in 04 with the Seahawks,
then went to Broncos Camp and it was over. Well, but he did remember, he did sign that one day
contracts, we could retire. He did, he did what most these guys do. He did do that. Holds all,
it's too long to get into. Hold every single major receiving record that even exists.
Multiple Superbowl and Playoff records as well. Three rings. Superbowl MVP, which my co-host here
was in a halftime show. Superbowl 23 was the MVP of that Superbowl 13 Pro Bowls, all 80s,
all 90s in 75th anniversary team. Bar none, the greatest wide receiver of all time. Bar none.
I will not debate you on that. Who else, who else we got? Well, if we are, you know what,
we have explained our locale several times. You got Emmett? He Smith. I don't, I think I stop.
And that's almost a double, that's almost a double bias for me because I'm a pseudo cowboys fan.
So, and the other reason I became a cowboys fan was because Emmett, who went to the University
of Florida, was drafted by the cowboys. So I kind of followed him here. Um, I stopped there.
I tell the rest of these guys, hey, man, we'll catch you next year. Yeah, I don't understand.
Do we have to have a certain number in every year? It just doesn't make any sense to me. If
baseball can have a class of two, why can't the NFL go? Do you really want to be on the same
stage with these two cats? Yeah, it's going to be, uh, trust me, when I get to these other
ones that are a whole lot quicker and the resume is not as long as my arm. Um, you know, running back
five, nine, two, oh, seven is what Emmett checked in on draft day. So he's five inches shorter
than rice, but five pounds heavier. Yeah. Wow. Of course, played his college at Florida. Yes,
or he was a, a very highly recruited player coming out of Pensacola. Um, 17th overall pick in
the draft, you know, Dallas pulled off that crazy, Herschel Walker trade that made him a cowboy,
even being a cowboy possible, um, played 90 through 2002 with the Dallas Cowboys. And we all
remember what went on between O, um, O3 and O4, the Phoenix debacle. Yes, sir. Um, you know,
I look at a lot of these, a lot of guys do it. They think they've got it in the tank.
Rice did it. Emmett's done it. I think the, the Emmett played one year too long, in my opinion.
Yeah, the Arizona thing, I just, it hurt me to watch. Emmett was in what's bad is if you're
remember Roy Williams, not that Roy Williams, but the, the safety Roy Williams. He's the one
that kind of put a hat on Emmett and the shoulder and the, and his career in some retrospect
ended at Texas Stadium of God rest it. So I'm kidding. Rushing crowns 91 92 93 95 three rings
Super Bowl MVP of Super Bowl 28, 1993 league MVP 1000 rushing yard seasons 11 straight
ears. And oh, by the way, he's also the NFL all-time leading rusher on top of that.
Bar none. I don't know if he's the greatest running back of all time. I don't know that,
but I will say he's top three. And I want, and that's the topic too. Again,
I was told that there's a new drinking game with the show that every time I say that's
another story for another show, you have to take a shot. But that, with that, really, that's something
I want to definitely get into at some point. Yeah. Because there's somebody else out there that,
even I can say about Emmett, compared to Scott, we all know who it is. He's top three. He's top three
very extremely extremely deserving of John Randall. There's another guy that I'll be honest when
when I went over this list with you back after a month ago, we were super bowl time. Yeah.
And he was on there and I went, um, good. Maldi. There's one thing I remember about John Randall.
He was a mouth and he wore all the black. What would we say last week personality goes wrong? Yeah,
I think John Randall defensive tackle. Listen to this 61278 what he came in. That's a big old boy.
College Texas A and I. What is that now?
It's still I think I want to say it's going to Trinity Valley TV CC. I don't know that's even
possible. That's what his bio says. Wow. There's one of them out in Terrell and Athens.
Because you can show me a Texas A and I T shirt and I tell you that's a bit or
here we go. Undrafted free agent. Really? Was not drafted. Uh, most of the big bulk of his career was
1990 through 2000 with the Minnesota Vikings. And he did what's bad is from 01 to 03 in Seattle.
He had some of the most productive years of his career. Seven pro bowls, uh, retired with 137
and a half. How you get a half sack? I have no idea. You get a half sack when
you and somebody else are responsible for the sack. I believe that's how that works. Um, and,
pro bowl seven times already said that. All pro six straight season 93 through 98.
I don't see the resume there for John Randall. I just don't see something except the words
undrafted free agent jumps off the page and makes me think that's a Hall of Fame guy.
Well, I mean, if you remember, we had that conversation and you mentioned him and I said, okay,
that name rings a bell to me. With that name ring a bell to me.
As somebody who's fairly well versed in the NFL, I mean, somebody that's not one of your major
stars, I can understand it. I mean, he's, he might have been running out of votes too.
We're fixing to get real old here. Floyd Little running back Denver, um, played for Denver as an
expansion franchise 67 to 75 came in at five 10 196 1967. Um, Syracuse six overall pick in the draft.
Um, all pro four times. Uh, he was the, he was the vote getter from the veterans committee.
Was the Floyd Little 1971 rushing record. Um, from 71 to 73 had three 300 plus yard receiving
and rushing years. Once again, don't really see it in Floyd little longer. We're not broadcasting
here. Okay, we're broadcasting again. We lost the broadcast. Sorry if we lost you there for a
second. We are back. Keep going. Go ahead. Um, and I just, I really don't see like I said,
he was a veterans committee guy. Once again, I know, I know he's going to be like, Hey, how come,
Jane Nova check and how come this guy? How come that guy? Once again, I, the Hall of Fame's always
going to be a debatable thing. Always. Um, Dick Lebo former more known for a horrible head coach.
Yeah. Corner was actually funny thing about him. 6185 58 pick overall out of the Ohio State
University, cut by the Browns was drafted, cut and then went to Lions Camp and made the team
started 171 straight games. That's an NFL record at corner. Um, 12 straight years with three or
more picks ranks third all time in true corner back numbers. Hmm. Interesting.
And he come a Detroit. You're not going to have very many Hall of Famer. So be happy. Dick Lebo got
in. Same thing with this next team. Ricky Jackson, New Orleans linebacker, 62, 243. That's a big
old boy. That's a, that's a stick a dynamite. Um, pit, pit Panther, 51st pick overall,
played like us. Most of these guys stuck with one team for a, a very big amount of time. 81 to 93.
He was a member of the New Orleans Saints went through a lot of bad years there. Then actually
retired in 95 with the San Francisco 49ers. Six probals all pro 86 87 92 93 128 career sacks.
The Saints never finished below 500 in his last seven seasons. And also led the Saints to their
first division title. Nice. I know for a fact there's better linebackers than Ricky Jackson,
not in the Hall of Fam. But that's always a debate that you're always going to have though.
EIs act on this. He'll be there. And last but not least,
have a red skin. Got a hog. One of the original Russ Grimm, six, three, two,
seventy three. I remember him, sir. He was one of the charter members of the hogs.
Yes, sir. Um, 81 91 with Washington 69th pick overall. Wow. Yeah. Four probals.
Would you consider that a steal? Yeah, for what he became, obviously Hall of Fame guy. Yeah,
what what he became. I mean, he was, you know, let's be honest, they made, they made every,
they were kind of similar to what Denver's done back in the 80s. You stick a running back by,
you run out by committee, they could block for anybody. Some of the holes you could drive,
you could drive a truck through them. Um, 1980s all decade team five NFC title games in three
superbowl rings. That's his resume. The only one I've got Ricky Jackson in in in Randall. I just
don't see the, the Hall of Fame resume on those guys, but they're in Sunday, a Saturday afternoon,
they're in. And then Sunday evening, we get the Hall of Fame game Dallas Cowboys Cincinnati Bengals.
But before we get to Cincinnati, we've got a little something to talk about. We've got, you
know, I was going to tell you every week I have a TV in my office where we do the show from.
Right now we are on ESPN news, keeping an eye on a bunch of things. Pretty much 98% of your
coverage has been the announcement that allegedly Brett Farve is retiring. Honestly, I don't believe
this until the trade deadline. I mean, that's sad for me to say, but I'm, I'm so not sold that he's
retiring. Well, you're talking about a story that is half a decade old. Indeed. We've been on,
we've been on far watch for five seasons. Yeah. It's just to me, you know, the, the world wide
leader is all over it. He always, they will print Brett Farve. They've always have probably always
will. I just, I like, I believe with you. Once he's gone, he's gone. That's when I'll believe it.
Right now, I'm, I'm very skeptic because he's yet to make us sound. Suppose he's in a text that
said it's over and it was very cryptic and didn't really know where, where he was going with it.
And that's every all the contact anybody's had with Brett Farve.
What I've been hearing today is what he's seeing is that the ankle is not healing
like he thought it would. And because of that, this may be where all this is coming from. That
maybe he's realizing that maybe he's getting mortal. Yeah. And, you know, we just got off Hall of
Fame talking. We all know Brett Farve's a Hall of Famer. But I, you know, he leads. He has one,
two records, you know, most wins, completions. He's also got some records in the other direction.
He's always said he's got the records good and he's got them bad. He's a hit and miss guy.
I think we're going to look back as far of a legend. Oh, yeah. By far, it's, it's far of an
outlaw gunslinger type quarterback. Absolutely. Do I really think he's one of the all-time great
quarterbacks? I think he's in the top 10. Yeah. But I'll tell you what, he's in the Hall of Fame.
Oh, absolutely. Oh, he's first balled all the way all the way. Then I can now, can you get in the
Hall of Fame and come out and play? You know, I don't know that anybody's ever tried. It's like I
told you earlier that Sears commercial that he's so famous for now has really become a bit.
Yeah, you know, and God love him. I've got some Brett Memories and I think everybody does.
You know, last year he cost, you know, that New Orleans game. He was one completion away from
field goal range. They're in the Super Bowl. Yep. And I just think not only the ankle,
I don't know if far of could put two seasons like that back to back and make a run like that.
Oh, and it could also be argued that there are some rule changes coming in the NFL that are
directly because of what happened in that game. So I mean, he's a Hall of Famer. I'm kind of sick
of far watch if I'm being perfectly honest. I'm trying to find what's the right phrase to use.
Fisher cut bait is the family version of that phrase. Fisher cut bait, dude. Yeah, you know,
it's getting old. I think Brett Farves biggest fear is one day. He's going to wake up there and
had his bird Mississippi and get out of bed, kiss his wife and put on his Wranglers and go to
his front door and realize he's not a story anymore. I think Farves got a little prima don in him.
I think he's got a little bit of little little I'm trying to give a guy a bone. I'm trying to
give him a little bit of I don't think it's a little brother. But I think Farves got a little bit
of arrogance to him too. I think he likes people talking about him. He likes their retrospects on
his career. I think he's a fame, you know what? Yeah, but you know what the best way to have those
is don't have a career anymore. Then you're going to have all the retrospectives you want because
it's all making the shift. Especially in two particular towns because I really think at the end
of the day, Green Bay still reveres him whether they want it or not. We put them on the map, brother.
So, we want to go back to Cincinnati. As we were on the, did we not announce that on the
year last week that Tio had signed? Right. About an hour hour hour and a half before we hit the
area. Yes, absolutely. I just want to throw this out there. A quote from one of my personal
favorite fours. The great Dan Labatari. I know a lot of people can't stand him. I like the guy
and not just because he's a Miami guy. He refers to this team now as WKR Me in Cincinnati and
could there be a more perfect? Who would be Charlie Fever?
Carson Polar? That would Johnny Fever, by the way. Dr. Johnny.
Then, oh, Dr. Johnny Fever. Venus Flytrap. Less Nesman. Remember the more news,
less Nesman. And the great former Bert Reynolds wife.

You know, Cincinnati, I won't tell you. I agree. A guy that I don't agree just a heck of a whole lot
with Michael Irving, they said it best. They will be dangerous.
If they can get me and you listen, folks, we do prep this show. We just don't make a list and
walk in here and go, hey, hey, hey, we were show prepping last week for this show and this deal was
done. If they can get a thousand yards out of Cedric Benson or a combination of running backs there,
this is a serious contender in the AFC. I'll just, that's one of those. There's one ball.
There's one ball on the field. And you can also say that down in South Florida.
There's one ball on the court. And sometimes these things just flat out in a different sport.
In a different sport. Absolutely, absolutely. Yeah, I just, I think they're going to be an interesting
to watch if nothing else. I'll keep going. I'll keep going. Oh, um, they'll be playing this Sunday night
in the Hall of Fame game against the Cowboys. Yeah, somebody will be playing. You may see a lot of
backup guys in that game. But you'll see them all at least. They need to honor the Hall of Fame,
guys. Let them play. And you said something last week that I really kind of resonated with me,
and I want to reiterate, if it's the Hall of Fame game, let your starters play the whole game.
It's the first preseason. Too risky. Too much money involved. At least a half. I'll go with you on a
half. I'm not going to go on a whole game. I'll go there with you. That's fine. Speaking of
other things of people that may or may not play, Albert Haynesworth, my God, man. First,
sure you want to be traded. And then, hey, you know what, I'm, here's my theory. And I have a
theory on this. And you when I talked about this last night, I think he knew he wasn't going to pass
that physical, but he went through the whole, hey, I'm willing to play ball. And I believe in this
defense now, just so when he knew he wasn't going to pass the physical, it wasn't a knee or knee
or knee or kind of situation, he might get some sympathy out of what I mean does this shock you.
It's Washington. Yeah, that's true. It's Washington. It's their typical circus. This guy just got
a hundred million dollar contract, a hundred million dollars. And he can't even get on the field.
He can't even, you know, there was a story real quick, a reporter, a female reporter. Not
that makes a difference. Almost passed this test. I saw that this morning on Yahoo news. Yeah,
she was a local broadcaster somewhere. And check me if I'm right. I want to say golic did pass it.
Really? I want to say that they have some footage up on ESPN right now. If you go to the NFL,
golic now or golic then golic now. Wow. Now we're talking golics lighter now than when he played. So
it's not a far fetch for me to believe that. Good mercy. Hey, as long as he maybe he'll
can't play the whole year and he won't play those two games against Dallas.
Speaking of injuries, the Desbariat saga continues. High ankle sprain. They're saying four to
six weeks. That would put him ready to go two days before the Cowboys opener. Is this Oklahoma
state all over again? Like I said, last week, he has not he has not played productive football in
two years. This guy to me is a guy who at times excitable fun to watch. He has some problems.
I think he's got an injury problem. It's already proven like the little the little firing squad in
the Miami Dauphins. He's got some life problems. I think he's going to be trouble. I think that
this is going to be something you see. But Michael Irving twisted his ankle, his rookie year,
too. And we know what he came out to be. And I'm not sitting here. I'm not sure I'm going to put
them into. Yeah, I'm not trying to put one in one that's in Canton and one that's closer to
Canton, Texas and the Hall of Fame. I hope the guy does well. I just I think this is the beginning
of your going to see a guy that may miss four to five games a season. We need to backtrack a
little bit. We do have a message in the in the chat room from it from one LT heart.
Our good friend and the Tony reality of this show. Very relevant. Jennifer Marlow is the name of
the local news personality. Jennifer Marlow, who almost did the drill and also interesting
opinion by by Lonnie as well. He says does has Ricky Williams written all over him.
Absolutely. I agree. I mean, hey, don't put him on big 12 guys. I mean, let's say hey,
okay, SEC, Lonnie and SEC. Okay, now we're all the troublemakers.
Oh, yeah. So we are 67% SEC heavy hardware. So, but yeah, you're right. I think I think he's a great
guy. I mean, a great player. And I like the whole deal, you know, today I get sucked into these
weight Phillips press conferences. Well, you know, you want to coach a guy that can sit on the
sideline and actually get coached when not really being coached. That makes no sense.
There's not one thing that might Gundie taught him at Oklahoma State that has anything to do with
a doubt. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum with you on that particular not not the opinion of
being coached, but I hear press conference click. That's me now done. Well, I just like to, you know,
hear about the guy who was once a frog and got a kiss and became a king and now he's a coach
of the cowboy. I still think he looks like your high school gym teacher. I wait Phillips just
doesn't look like a head coach in the NFL to me. He never has. I want to say hi to my little,
my little adopted niece out there. We love her. Yeah. Most precious thing ever. Yeah. She's,
she's got that heart-sleeping face. Yeah, she does. I pointed that out. She does. And Christa,

I don't know if you read about this today. I saw this on, gosh, where did I see this? Oh,
this was on an gadget, which is a blog that I read in their Nintendo Wii section. Madden06,
first of all, there are over 6,000 retired players that are filing a class action lawsuit against
EA sports for Madden06. What they're basing is that EA, quote, kept the stats and positions,
but changed the numbers and took names off of these players. I don't know if that has any water
to even even float. What are they going to split? What are these? How many do you say again?
Six over 6,000 retired players. What are they going to story right today? I mean,
are we talking about a dime from each game split by 6,000? Is that what we're?
I don't know. It's, I read this and I was like, first of all, this is Madden06. So you know,
it's in Madden07, probably in Madden08, probably in Madden09, probably in Madden10,
and I could almost guarantee you Madden11 and I want to talk about the Madden curse maybe next week
because somebody put forward to me that there's an NCAA curse and I don't know if that one exists
or not. I know the mad, I believe in the Madden curse, but we all want to talk about that maybe next
week on the show. I don't see this dog hunting. I just don't. I've been taking you this long to
get this thing together. You talk about a reach. I agree. Is this, is, is Ditka involved in this?
Because I know he was, in the story that I read, no one was actually named. Okay. Because I know
that he's been one and I agree. The guys need a pension, a better pension. The guys need, I agree
with some of the, some of the stuff that Ditka and Darrell Johnston, some of these older,
ill-sayers, some of these older players want these guys to have benefits and more money. I 100%
they made the NFL what it is today. Now I think you're, you're getting up on that step ladder and
you're reaching for the roof on that deal. That's a little far-fetched. And of course you have this
ongoing deal with the college players too, with, with the NCAA games and that's a no hold. That's
a topic that you could, we could probably do a half an hour on alone. Yeah. Because I'm kind of on
the fence on that. I see that one from both sides. Yeah. That's, um, um, uh, the NCAA. Good luck,
I'm gonna have a lot on that. Good luck, uh, NFL veterans committee. Well, we'll keep an eye on
that story for you. Speaking of the NCAA, we're gonna get into something that happened this past week.
And you and I talked about this a little bit. And we're gonna, there's somebody that's,
that's posting on the chat room. That's probably gonna be real attentive in this particular segment.
USC 2004 by done. They don't melt her down. They've had, they've had, you get the rings back. They've
had the national championship taken away from him. What do you do? I mean, I obviously you told me
that Oklahoma has stated that they don't. Yeah. Stupes was brought up to him at big 12 media day.
And it's been brought up to him before. Um, they're not. Come on. Nobody's gonna walk in and hand
anybody a national tile. And you're gonna celebrate that thing and print the t-shirts. I mean,
it's been almost 10 years ago. I, you know, I, I, it's barely five really five. Well, but in football,
I mean, 2004 to me seems like it does seem like an age seems like an age. Yeah, it seems like it was,
I mean, what makes that relative? It, you know, anyway, this was like the season that that never happened.
Um, you know, USC and I'll, I'll one to admit USC kicked our tail that night. 5519.
It was a match. You know, that was a team that Oklahoma was about one of the best teams that
they'd ever filled. It led the country. USC and OU were one and two and about every statistical.
There was, um, but then you had another problem. You know, a team called Auburn. Yeah. That kind of
showed a very well coached and prepared Virginia Tech team, the door and the sugar bowl. And
then you also had somebody named, uh, Urban Meyer down at Utah took that from the, uh, took that from
the abyss. Um, and, you know, I'm not, it's hard for me to say, I, and if you got instant,
instant feedback on this, well, we actually do. Lonnie's opinion on this is you should not get the
rings unless you won the game. Yeah. Well, and he prefaced that with so too bad Auburn. Yeah. So
he's looking at that very, but the Auburn got rings printed. Yes, they did. Tommy Tubberville was,
and he showed it. He was wearing a 2004 Auburn national title ring at big 12 media day last week.
Does he wear that at tech? It's going to be the closest he ever gets to one again.
Just wanted to kind of sidetrack you there for just a second. Um, you know, I, and I want to know
anybody. How many we got in there now? Right now we have three people in. I think one of them was

Florida played them last year. How does Citadel keep making its SCC rounds? But I will tell you this.
I will tell you this. Don't even get me started. That game, that decision changed college football
forever because an undefeated SCC team was never left out that national title game again. When
sometimes I thought there might have been, I thought there were teams better in one of the person
that's listening was with me that night. I thought the, I thought OU, and I don't want to say OU,
I thought OU was better than the LSU team. I was working that. Yeah. I thought OU was better than
the LSU team that played for the national title against Ohio State two years back. I think when
you beat the number one team on a, on a mutual side, that gets you in the national title game,
but it's never going to be right. It's never going to be fixed until we strap it up. We get
some top quit voting. We're the only sport that votes on a, on a champion. And I think that,
that kills it. But yeah, I want to hear feedback on this. I'm curious of why. And I don't want to
hear nobody email Texas. Because y'all were, y'all were down in San Diego to holiday balls,
so I don't want to hear Texas. And I called that by the way that year, if you remember. No,
matter of fact, no, they were the Rose Bowl. That's when Vince Young became a star in that deal.
Beat Michigan. Ah, yeah. So yeah, yeah, Texas, but they weren't national title. They were not in this,
this deal. But yeah, it's, it's, it's something that you've now took a 2004 season,
including your husband, trophy winner. And, yeah, never happened. Oh, it was,
it was Alpha son of a team because it never happened. I'm trying, I'm just trying to think,
oh, four, husband, I want to say that was Jason White. Oh, you, because Bush might have been
oh, five. But either, I don't know, he would have wanted no fourth. They're trying to strip him up.
Well, I don't care if, uh, who it is pretty much your 2004 season never happened. So it,
it could be Santa Claus could be the husband, trophy winner. It, it didn't happen. And I think
some people ought to have a hard time with that. I think the NCAA needs to do something. What,
what do you think it should be at a point that Lonnie's bringing up right now? Should it be a split
title? I see, I've never been a believer in the split national championship. I don't think you
give the schools a choice. I think to keep the records in place, I think to keep
your husband, your passing record, your bowl records, everything that is, I think you have to go,
we've got to do this because we can keep our records intact because right now, like I said,
it's the season that never happened. Yeah, it's good point. Let's go to your college football
club hanger of the week if you've got that ready to go. Well, that'll wrap up this part of sports.
You know, and I'll be honest, once again, a disclaimer, I do this every week. No, no bias.
I enjoy this because I really could do my research on some teams I wouldn't normally.
And like I say, the cliffhangers not up from one team, it's on this. The other end of this,
I've been biting and biting and biting my tongue. And I finally got to let one of these teams
really, really have it. The first one is, and I kind of tied this into my story, is Auburn.
On the way up or on the way up? On the way up. You know, when the outback bowl last year,
defeated Northwestern, great game. Northwestern was kind of surprising. They're kind of salty,
kind of salty. They're great head coach. I don't think he'll be there much longer. But
let me tell you, it looked funny seeing Chizek and not Tommy on Auburn sidelines. Yeah,
it was very weird not to see him there. Did have some losses. You know, quarterback Chris Todd was a
senior tied in a Tommy trot. Another great guy than the guy that seemed to play there forever,
been tade at running back. It was just a serviceable back that could lower his head and get you
third and one third and two, whatever. Key additions. Our returners, you know, Darren Bates,
safety, Auburn's always been known for that nasty hard nose SEC. It's September. It's Alabama.
It's muggy mosquito, but we're going to pop you all night long. They've always had that tight
mentality. Love SEC football. Mike Blank at defensive tackle. Another guy that's got NFL scouts
going nuts, Darren Adams, but they also added a guy that's not going to show up on a lot of your
boards here. Juco transfer quarterback Cameron Newton. You should know that name. Teebo's back up
at Florida Stola Lab Top. I remember that now. Stola Lab Top was dismissed from the team and ended
up at Blin junior college right down here in college station and was eligible for, you know,
passes deal took the appropriate clashes and was in CAA reinstated and floated with OU floated
with going back to Florida and SEC USC. I mean, South Carolina and the Southern California
and ended up at Auburn and I think he could be your starting quarterback week one. The schedule
very favorable for Auburn to really do something the SEC. They've got Clemson at home,
a team without CJ Spiller, not the same team. LSU at home. Another tough game that Auburn has
at their house. That's got ESPN Saturday night written all over it. I have to look at
schedule C who else is playing that day because you'd have to have game day. Yeah. And of course,
the iron bowl. Then you go, then you go to Tuscaloosa. That's a little bit different deal. You know,
I don't want to say national title. I don't think they've got the clientele just yet to get in
there with Alabama or even to get in there. But I think there's a couple of people whose days they
could run. Yeah, they could be really upset heavy. I'm going to say with Florida being a team that's
got some holes. I'm going to say maybe they might make appearance in the SEC championship game.
Oh, sorry. I just a lot of you're killing me, dude. The Raiders of the SEC offered.
Hey, they're scrappy. Well played, sir. Well scrappy. The autumn wind is a raider.
And the schedule, like I said, the schedule is very, very favorable for them to do a lot of stuff.
If you can you dodge Florida, Georgia's not much. I just they have a favorable schedule to really
do some stuff. All right. And so that's your on the way up. Let's go to the other side of the
coin. Yeah. Are we going about three and a half hours south west? Yeah, you know, I bit my tongue. I
bit my tongue and I bit my tongue. This is and this is bias's side. Let's say this. This is bias's side.
This is just I think it's reality check. And I when I read these key losses, you're going to be going
probably right. That is my good buddies. My most favorite fan base in the world. That's the
university of Texas. I think they're going to have a tough go of it this year. Man.
Well, everybody's got to rebuild at some point. And let's preface it with that. It's not a
reload. What you guys are dealing with is a you're rebuilding. You lost a lot of people this year
down there. Lost the course. We all know lost the BCS title game to Alabama. That's not all they
lost quarterback Colt McCoy and wide receiver Jordan Shipley. There's 85% of your offense. Yes, sir.
That's not a couple. That's not some junior quarterback that played one year and went pro and some
spare wide receiver. That was 85% of your offense gone and then Sergio Kindle, your defensive captain.
I don't know how you replaced that Oklahoma had questions going into last year. A lot of teams did.
Texas has a lot of questions. They can't run the ball. But they've also, I mean, their strength
is schedules pretty. Yeah. And then the key returners, if Tray Newton, he's like he's a D2 guy
playing at a D1 school. I just don't think he's that good. But a guy I do think is tied in Dan
Dan Buccner. I think he's very good and same thing with defensive end Sam Acho. And Texas is
going to sign about 16 to 15 guys at their spring or summer workouts. Texas is a draw.
They held a whole conference hostage for three months. Texas is a draw. I'm so glad we weren't
on the air at that point. Yeah. We know what we know what they are. They are a draw schedule.
I was actually shocked to see some meat on it. UCLA in Austin. Don't know what they're going to be.
But UCLA there, that's a, that's a name. October 2nd, like Hank Williams, Jr. said,
family tradition. We do it all again. Oklahoma. I think they both come in undefeated. I really
believe Texas's first few games are so weak. They can do that. They can come in October 2nd.
And you put you want that game both times. You have to. I think they have to. Yeah. It kind of
builds the momentum of that game. And then 10, 16, the one that gets dicey for the last time,
unless they meet again in Dallas. Nebraska. You've got Nebraska. And that's a fan base that has
a huge chip on their shoulder for the University of Texas. So prediction. Once again, I just,
it's they're replacing so much. I'm going to say holiday bowl. Cotton bowl. I don't see them in
a BCS game. There's just too many weapons to replace. There's just too many guys missing.
Too many household names. And if you know me, I don't put stock in anything to me. I mean, I'm just
saying what I think and you can blow me up. And that's fine. But that's, I just, there's just too
many. There's too many too many people to replace. And that is your college football cliffhanger.

for them to win 100 games. Not going to happen. Once again, we've talked every week. Tampa's
scrappy. They like to ruin your day. Watch Tampa. Love it. Uh, the West. Hey, the ranger still
ate up on the A's. I mean, they're still there. That team's holding on there. And the central
once again, we said it'd be a yo, yo, I've bought the mix powder. I haven't put it in. I haven't
put it in the water to chill it with the ice to put it in the fridge yet. But I do have the mix.
It's in the pantry. I'm getting a little closer. They're getting closer. They're good ball club.
Yankees. This sounds nuts to say this. By the way, Chicago won up on Minnesota in the central.
The Yankees are six and a half up in the wild card over Boston. So they're also tied
into vision, but they played more games. So now they're leading. So they can make the playoffs
two different ways. Um, and the, and the hey, once again, there's that surprise. The braves
three up on your two time defending NL champs by three games. Um, you talk about a scrappy little
ball club. They took New York out behind the woodshed last evening. And we've got a friend that's
going to see them play. I'm incredibly jealous. I've made sure that he brings me back something
from Turner field. Um, and though San Diego, there's another team like Texas. They are holding on
man on the over the giants and the reds. I don't know what, Dusty Baker, you're your manager of the year.
Dusty Baker, Ron Washington. And I'm going to go, I'm going to say someone and Lonnie said this
in the chat room and I want to agree with him. I was looking at the Yankees like I look at Brett
Farve. I'm not counting Brett Farve retired until the trade deadline. I'm not counting the Yankees
out until October one. That's true. Man, I just, they're just, they look clunky. If there's, if
there's, if they're four games out and there's three games to go, then I'll count them out. They
just, they're one of the, like I told you two weeks ago, it's like Duke and college basketball.
You don't have to win, you don't have to win the conference. You just have to get to the dance.
Just get there. And there are team that, if they get there, they're very dangerous.
You know, trade deadline, you know, Lance Bartman's over there, you know, Texas,
adding, uh, can't, uh, can too. Hey, man, here we go. Everybody's getting ready for the big
stretch run and of course in the wild card, the cards two up. I mean, San Francisco's two up on
the cards. I got wild card and cardinals. But it's the wild cardinals. Yeah. But yeah, I mean,
in St. Louis's another team, I think they're, they're like Lonnie said with the Yankees. St. Louis,
they're kind of, and you know, Pullholz went first time below 300 in his career the other night.
So, is that a letterman curse? Cause he was on letterman last week.
Maybe, okay, maybe it's the, uh, we were just talking about the Yankees. A rod still stuck at 599.
I don't know what's, you know, he said some stuff. You know what's going to be crazy.

nobody wants to be that footnote to history. And really honestly, he said last night in a,
in a post game interview, he just feels like he's not getting anything to hit right now.
They're pitching around him. And at times he's lunging at balls that he would usually not swing
at just to try to make contact. I didn't see that. Just let it come to you. Yeah. I mean,
I say that as a guy who doesn't play professional baseball, but I, I just think maybe he just
needs to just lay back on it and just it's going to happen. You're young enough. You're not ever
going to not ever hit another home. Yeah. I just, I need to see him finish with about 625.
This season for me to really get my baseball pants, home run pants going crazy and go, he'll pass,
he'll, he'll, he'll watch his on. I don't, I need him to be about 625, 630 into the year.
I don't know if he's got another. Yeah, that's 1415 homers. He's only got 16 right now. Yeah.
So I mean, last thing in baseball. And of course, you know, my braves bias. If I see a brave story,
I'm going to throw it out there Friday night, the braves are retiring. Tommy Glavins number 47.

Like he's listening. Absolutely. Let's move on to basketball real quick, because it kind of ties
into baseball. I want to get back to that in just a minute with, with basketball, Mark Cuban.
It's been so much enough this right from what I've heard. He's buying up a lot of the creditor
debt so that he can become a creditor. And so now that kind of mucks the waters here. And I'm sorry,
again, we're going local. I apologize for those who do that around town. But is he just trying to
muck up the works here? Or is there something evil and sinister under the surface that maybe
maybe there's something to him wanting a piece of this deal? Well, you know, he tried to buy the
cubs. Everybody knows that was not approved by the, the major league baseball to do so. And
do you think he'd be approved of the Rangers? I know he'll put some money into it. And I think
that's what they have to get it done early. Because you got to have Josh Hamilton resign. I don't
want to get the auctions in less than 48 hours. Yeah. I mean, I think we'll know by probably
close of business tomorrow. If not for sure Thursday morning, what the heck's going on with a
fake game lead first place bankrupt baseball team? It's amazing. So we'll keep, we don't have a lot
just a lot of facts on that right now. Because he, you know, he's not returning. We go on the
air next week. We'll have news because we'll know who the other is. But let me tell you that he's
not returning any local media or any national media's emails or anything. Quick shout out,

Actually, we can go to because they're both coming from the same team. Marty Turko, now a
the gold tender for your defending Stanley Cup champions. How do you get rid of your goalie?
I think the guy just wanted too much money or it could be testing the water and having Turko.
I think you have to have two goalies in the NHL, my opinion. I think that could be a deal with
they're letting him kind of test the water a little bit and kind of see what's out there financially.
And just kind of see, hey, you know, I want to, I think that could be a little mini dynasty.
Turko, not bad. Let me tell you, his record last year is deceiving when your dodging shots,
their line was weak. The stars were weak. And I think that this year, you may see
old Marty Turko back like we remember him here in nationally as a star.
And the great Mike Modano expected on Thursday to sign with the hated Detroit Red Wings.
Can I say Red Wings and not sound like Elmer Fud? I can't, it's always Red Wings, whatever I say,

He wrote the man with a golden gun. And if you know me, I'm a huge James Bond fan. Also wrote
diamonds or forever. Also wrote live and let die. Also wrote the first two Superman films.

interesting story from the LA Times today. Something that you've kind of had your eye on
a franchise. Robert Rodriguez, the great director, now in talks to direct the Deadpool movie.
Once again, Wolverine killed it. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I was secret or I think you could you could
kind of reboot that and kind of ignore origins and do it right. I mean, that's one thing that when
I we, you know, I was in the theater and I saw that and I said, man, they just killed any any
any future of a Deadpool movie. They made him look so ridiculous. Yeah, I was very, very
disappointed in that film. But this thing is still alive. It's still got a shelf life now.
I don't know if Ryan Reynolds is still attached or not. But I think Robert Rodriguez could do
something. Yeah, you can, you can make it happen. I like the character. I like the, if they do him,
you got to do where he kind of looks into the camera and kind of the fourth wall. They've got to do
that. If they're going to do it right, they got to do that. And I'm on board. I'd go see it. I like,
I like what Rodriguez brings a table that I'd go see it. I'm definitely interested in his new
film, machete in and when you can get an entire movie out of a fake trailer from another movie,
I've seen the full trailer. It looks to me. Steven Segalton, dude. Really? Steven Segalton,
everybody and their brothers in this movie didn't the low hand. I should play a nun in this deal.
This one. I will now they're confirmed or tonight. I thought she was involved in this somehow.
You get a separate laptop. So I can just look stuff up on that while I got everything running on
my PC here. Lastly, Dan Reslin played Dr. Beeper from Caddy Shack. That's who we also lost.
It was what Lonnie is saying now. This kid that we're about to talk about is Kryptonite to
Superman with me because I think he has no talent. But man, he's making a lot of money. Just in Beeper,
they're doing a biopic on this kid that's supposed to come out next spring and it's going to be in 3D.
So like a concert of him or somebody playing? No, he's playing himself in his own story from
what I've gathered from billboard.com. Like three mile? Eight mile. First of all, I just man,
you talk about striking while the iron's hot. That's all I can say about this. But can you blame me?
I mean, I'm not blaming the kid. Make your money. But do you think? God.
That is the music industry. Especially the tween, the tween, or the teen, or the kid music industry.
That's the money. They will crank up the fire on a dancing chicken out there on you and make money,
make money, make money, then you're dead. That Disney machine too, brother.
And once it gets a hold of you, it'll run for, it'll run what you think. Are we talking about him
two years from now? I hope not. But in the way a parent waning of the Jonas Brothers wave,
Lonnie good point, compared to leaf Garrett. That was before your time. Well, he was just made for
dancing though. That was his deal. He's, I'm glad I was not in mid-Sip when you did that. Yeah, man,
and he's not celebrity apprentice. Leaf Garrett signed on how many times it's like, how many times
do these people have to go into rehab? Life Garrett's been on every single celebrity rehab show
that's ever existed. He's still not clean. Maybe what? He's a drug addict. Gotta make him money.
You know, new release movies this week. One of one of something we talked about last week,
something I know you're excited about and you've already bought your tickets. Step up 3D
is in films and theaters this weekend. There's actually a mid-not showing at the legacy.
Yeah. No, that's not true. That would be genius. I 3D, what are you going to do? Especially when the
second one was called Step Up 2, the number 2, The Streets. So is this like, so you think you can
dance the movie? No, to me, it's more dirty dancing meets the Lombata movie, I guess. Lombata.
And it's the four bits like saying that Lombata. Like John LaSinda Lombardi. They should have
had him narrate one of those movies. That would have been awesome. I think your biggest release this
weekend is Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, The Rock, Samuel Jackson, Michael Keaton, in the other guys.
Her interesting story about this last week, they originally pitched the movie cop out to Warner Brothers.
And they wanted it, the budget to be 90 million, Will Warner Brothers boxed, kept the script,
and gave it to my personal leader, Kevin Smith, who made a get the blue right. That's all I'm
saying of cop out. They went across the street, took the other guys, and then they made it.
I'm going to see it at some point. I'm interested. Oh, I'm in. Anytime I think, and I've seen little
snippets of this in the trailer. Anytime you got the Dwayne and Samuel L. Jackson together,
it just looks tragic. It looks like it's supposed to be. Yeah. And Will Ferrell, I kind of go with
Chad on this, not a guy that can be chalkboard nails to me. See, to me, I used to be that way with him,

production budget back world wide. Or you've seen that. I caught the day. I caught it on HBO.
I caught the tail. It was it was the curiosity and the cat is what that movie was for me.
And I watched it. It turned into background noise while I was sitting here in my office working
on some stuff. And I was just like, it was hard for me to believe that a that a movie could be
this great. And Lonnie says he plays the same character in every film. I, but it works for some.
It's like saying Chris Farley plays the same role in every film. And Tommy Boy. Gene. Yes. Black
she was tough to get through. Beverly Hills Ninja had its moments.
Had its moments, but then again, he was also taken from us to Zinja. Also in theaters this weekend,
a movie called The Disappearance of Alice Creed. Alice Creed played by a young lady by the name of
Gemma Atterton. You may not know the name, but she was in Clash of the Titan. She was also in a
little flick. I like to call Quantum of Solace. She plays a girl that gets kidnapped by a couple of
guys and in this prison type apartment and she fights back. I had screening tickets I couldn't go.
Also in theaters this weekend, the Oxford murders. This is Elijah Wood and John Hurt working
together as a professor or student combination working to solve murders using math of some form.
It seems kind of weird to me, but it's coming out this weekend. I got to throw it out there.
Another movie this weekend by a director who very much just upsets me and has upset me for about
12 years. The movie is called 12. It's about kids and drugs in New York and lives in her 20.
Directed by Joel Schumacher. If you, a lot of says the Oxford murders as numbers remade for film,
that's what I was thinking. When he said solving a murder with a man, I said I have seen that somewhere.
But the Schumacher deal, Schumacher killed the Batman franchise. But on a certain level, he gets
a pass because this is the guy that directed St. Almost Fire. But I'm kind of interested. Fitty
sense in this movie. That's all I got on that. I saw the trailer last week. Also in limited
release this week is a movie called Middlemen. We have an appointment tomorrow night or I would be
going to a screening of this. It is the story of how adult websites got started. This movie
Luke Wilson, not Owen Wilson. Luke Wilson is brother. Terry Cruz, which is the real muscle guy
from the old spice commercials. He's in this Giovanni Rebisi who you might remember from friends
playing Phoebe's brother. James Conn is in this thing. Kelsey Grammer plays a judge. Christopher
McDonald's in this Kevin Pollock's in this takes place in Texas. I saw this on a trailer show in.
Yeah, it looks interesting to me. Looks interesting. I'm glad to get that thing in theaters now before
this Facebook movie comes out in September. I'm glad we've got to deal where Luke Wilson's working
again and not for AT&T. It's valid point. Kelsey Grammer, of course, looks like he plays a
senator. He plays a judge. I don't know if it just does just a ton of movie, but money. I think
it'll do well. I really do. Now, given a couple of movies that are coming out next week, make your
money now. We will talk about those movies next week because there is a couple of huge movies
releasing next weekend, the weekend of August the 13th. Darren, you're right. Better than anything
can. I would probably would have done, but he was. I'm not sure which film line he's saying he
was not asked to be in. And I don't know what part of the conversation is internet horn. Wow.

released this morning. Lady Gaga scores 13 of these nominees. She'll be Kanye West. She won't win
a one of them. Well, she jump up on stage and interrupt somebody else that does have one. She's
going to interrupt Kanye. Well, can her can her whatever outfit she's going to wear get her on the
stage that quick. You know what's funny? I mean, I don't know a whole lot about this young lady.
I know, you know, Alejandro and some of the music and that. She striking Wally Iron is hot.
Yeah, you know, she will. She's going to make a lot of money off this bit and I don't. She sold out
two straight nights at the American Airlines Center a couple weeks ago. I mean, that's two in a row.
That's what 18,000 people. Yeah, I mean, she's she's big right now and MTV's loving her to death. That's
almost half a cowboy stadium. She is very easy to look at. She's very pending on the video. Yeah,
but she's but when I'm when I'm meant by that was she makes good videos and MTV wants that when
they decide to show that they should have the VMAs taken away from them. If you don't show videos,
you can't have a video war. Yeah, as long as the situation's not on the screen. You know, he
you know the cast of that show. It's going to be involved in some way, shape, or form. And it's
going to again, kryptonite to Superman. That show is why the rest of the world hates America.

And we all have the real world to blame for all of this. All of that. But hey, in, in on, in on Gaga,
never done anything, never anything to bother. I'll always check out the VMAs because I like to see
some of the performances. I missed it. We had a paper view to watch last year when the whole Kanye
thing happened. And when I found out about that, I'm like, well, I pretty much don't need to watch
not just watch the clip tomorrow. But this year, not much going on. I think the Cowboys played
that night, but yeah, you know, MTV's changed so much through the years. It's, you know,
they need to not be MTV anyway. They seem to be TV just TV. I would love to get something,
get something, another channel and fuel kind of does this a little bit. The fuel channel will
show some videos, but it's always these artists you've never heard of. It's like MTV 2 used to be
very. And even MTV 2 is an MTV 2 anymore. It's, that's not even videos. You know, now you have to go
like with you versus I have the MTV hits channel MTV Jams, things of that nature. But not everybody
cares. I know that direct TV does not know. And those are those are the channels that show videos.
You know, and it's just sad that you have to have all these alternative channels to even see
videos you recognize. Exactly. Well, that's what like, sitting to switch to my, my walk, um,
CMT. CMT does, but you know, I CMT gets a pass with me. One word crossroads. Yeah, that's a phenomenal
series. But I mean, they've actually come to me. It's early morning. Maybe, maybe maybe
maybe later anyway. And then you might have some, some videos late at night, but then it's,
it's a world strict as parents. It's CMT. My big fat red neck. It's my big fat red neck
wedding. Now does GAC still show a lot of videos? That's all they show. They have no original

A few unreleased, but a lot of it was recycled stuff. But I mean, this is what you're going to get

after greatest hits. And they're going to mill back at all. Greatest hits. Greatest hits. I'm okay
with that. It's this previously. It's not Latoya singing. Lonnie, be nice. It's actually Janet.
But in one thing that they interviewed, I believe it was will I am from the Black Eyed Peas. And he said
the thing about Michael was he was such a perfectionist that he wouldn't let it go out unless it was
perfect. And I would think that this material would be very raw and very unfinished. Because even if
you have the anniversary edition of Thriller, which I have, I don't have the one that's got all the
remixes, I've got the one that's just just the album with some interviews. There's a couple of
tracks on there that were that were almost on the album, but didn't make it. But you don't even
get the whole song. You get about 60 seconds of it. Yeah. So I just, I mean, this is what it's

thing. If it's bubbles making appearance on this. No, I would think not. It's I don't know, at least

today. We start with a pretty big big deal. The black crows have a brand new double CD set out
today called Croology. Again, it's two discs. It's all acoustic. It's all of their all of their songs
that they love to play the original. I know the Robinson's are back together. They have been for a
while. I don't know about anybody else being arranged, but as long as you got the Robinson's,
that's what you need. That is the black crows has he now that he bathed and shaved for this album
because last time I was all him. I was neither confirmed nor did I was very disappointed in their
unplugged last time. Yeah, I didn't they're good. I want to say I think I'm gravitated hard to
handle. Of course, remedy. Of course, hard to handle is a cover originally done by Oh, just
reading, but I like your body. Redmond is one of my favorite songs by them. That second album,
Southern Harmony Musical Companions. Great. Great material. Great band in. It's also going to be
followed by a tour that's called Say Good Bye to the Bad Guy. Love it. I saw that. I love this.
Has to be included because you love that line. Yeah, say good night to the bad guy. And because
they're going to take about they say they're going to take at least a two-year hiatus after this tour.

We have a reissue this week of an album that came out in the 60s, I believe, called Clint Eastwood
sings Cowboy favorites. I put this on here specifically for you. Clint Eastwood could sing the
alphabet. And I'm in. He can do it in. He can do it in the man with no name voice. He can do it in
dirty Harry voice in anything Clint Eastwood does. Greatness. He can act. He can direct and I guess
he can sing. Somebody gave him an old saying the theme from raw hot. Yeah, that was his name in raw
hot sir. Oh man. That'd be one rowdy eight rowdy eight you are correct sir. That is absolutely
correct. One thing I've always loved about Clint Eastwood. He's got that big box set of all of his
movies 30 years 30 flicks. And in the interview, he says I didn't necessarily make pictures that I
thought everybody else would like. I made pictures that I liked. Yeah. Hey, I mean, there's some.
There's there's some that I know, you know, they're but for the most part, his body will works
first dollar. That guy made a Western in the 90s and made work. And that's the last people say
tombstone. I tombstone was real stylish. I love tombstone. Tombstone can't hold a candle to

Kickass out. Really? It looks too stupid. It's basically taking the concept of superheroes and
kind of putting them in the real world of his kids go. Why can't this work? And it's based on
a graphic novel. I'm a fan. I'm going to rent it as soon as I can. Heroes season four release
today or as I call it the mercy killing that show. If you watch the first season of heroes,
the first season of heroes was amazing. Like I didn't watch it the first season. I bought
the DVDs because people were. The first season was really, really good.
After that, it just fell off the planet. And it was terrible. Seasons two, three, and four were
horrific, horrific. And this last season, they were supposed to do a two hour movie to wrap
everything out. I hope they don't because that thing was sinking so far. Yeah, you were in really,
really, really, really involved in that. All of a sudden it just died. The first season was so
great. And then it just fell off after that. Diary of a wimpy kid. My son's leader. Have you seen that?
I have not my, my wife and son both have other books. We've got like five of them.
Oh, this is a series of books. I remember watching about this. Ramona, Quimby. Yes.
Yes, yes, yes. Which is a film coming out or came out last week. Same, same, same, same deal.

bullies. They address a lot of things that are elementary. This is something that can be
franchised as in. Diary of a wimpy kid. I heard it's been green lot and really. So we're,
we're, we're doing that. Also out today, a movie called The Ghost Writer. That made off our ITR.
That wasn't the O PBS kid show where the ghost pin. Goosebumps. That's Nickelodeon. I
didn't know what you were going to make from. But Ghost Writer, Pierce Brosnan plays a politician
of some form. You and McGregor has been off. It's been hired to be the ghost writer of his
autobiography and things get a little weird because certain things come to light that this guy
doesn't want to. But the previous two or three ghost writers have gone missing or wound up dead
and it's kind of a thriller kind of a deal. I might catch you on HBO. I don't know. Yeah.
We have the Blu-ray release of Escape from New York this week. Did that do anything for you?
Ruined by a sequel. Yeah. I mean, it's Kurt Russell in on him. And who was the mayor of New York
in the prison of New York? I don't know. We'll be one Isaac Hayes, sir. Oh, yeah. On him,
for sure. Yeah. Great movie. Great movie. I'd like to see the Blu-ray transfer. Again,
I talked about I was watching the Blu-ray of the Godfather on Sunday. Yeah. That transfer is
gorgeous. They did a great job on that. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, Escape from L.A.
Listen, yeah. I was saying I was terrible. The sequel to that.
25th anniversary of the Breakfast Club. Welcome, Dad. Thanks for getting in. We appreciate
you being on the chat board. And you know what? This is a movie. And you know, I am 25. I was
four. So give me give me my dude. I don't know a lot about it. But hey, when I saw it as a
my my she hates when I mention her on the show. The lady I live with that I bought a ring for
instead in front of a preacher. She likes this movie. It's a great film. It's one of the seminal
films of my generation. I enjoy this movie very much reading a book about it. Yeah. I like it. It's
it. I think that movie defines in my opinion a generation. It does. And it's it's part of that
brat pack phenomenon. I recurrently I'm reading a book called You Couldn't Ignore Me If You
Tried, which is a line from that film. And it's the impact of John Hughes on a generation. And
how the whole thing happened. I would like to own this one. Just because there's extra stuff.
And they're doing a panel in New York next month for the 25th anniversary with the cast. And since
Hughes is no longer with us being moderated by my leader, Kevin Smith. Really? It's a two-night
panel. Remember when Peter married her own family guy. He woke up and was married to Somali Ring
Wald. And Lois was married to choir. They were they were they were just we're doing the dance.
Dad says that you are referring to his great daughter-in-law. That's true. She says when I mention
her own on the show. Really? She's shy. My wife doesn't mind so much as long as it's in a flattering
light. Yeah. She's shy. But your wife's a good woman. You got a good thing going on over there
out there in the great city of Royce. Also a movie out this week. It's the movie called
a prophet. If you are somebody like me that watches shows like the ultimate trailer show or
nothing but trailers, you've seen this trailer. It's a foreign film about it's very God. It's like
the Godfather set in a prison. It's a guy learns how to be that guy. And it's interesting. I just
subtitles for two hours can get to me. What's that tree's this in again?
It's a French film. Also a WrestleMania 26 Blu-ray. I guess it's not a best-by-exclusive anymore.
So you can get that at any of your local retailers now when it was first released. They're
officially show some of it on the NBC. An hour. And it's like it's almost like a big long music
video. Yeah. So I read about it. I think the only match that that's in its entirety is Sean
and the taker. And on Blu-ray, the Bond movie that never was. Never say never again. It's being
released on Blu-ray this week. Man, that was bad. If you don't know the story of that,
it's basically a remake of Thunderball. Sean Connery actually bought the rights to the story.
And it's called never say never again because he said he would never play James Bond again and
blah, blah, blah. He went to a different studio because it's not an MGM UA thing and it's pretty bad.
It's pretty bad. Well, I'm always I'm just want to see a new one.
We'll have to we have to find out who's going to own the franchise with MGM folding.

We now move into the meat and potatoes. We start. We always start with sports. We go into
entertainment. And now we get into the one thing that brings all of us together and makes the world
a better place. It is time for professional wrestling talk. We do this at the end of the show

First thing I want to talk about it's a it's it's wrestling related. We found out on Friday,
Hogan's ex wife is marrying her 21 year old boyfriend. They're getting married on the yacht she
bought and named it Alimony. Is she still a story? And that's bad. And that was the question I was
going to ask you. Is this the I I remember. And that's the last season of Hogan those best when she
looked at him and said, you need to get a job because I have a lifestyle that I'm accustomed to.
That's right. At that point, done. She happened to me. She happened to marry the eldest of wrestling.
Yes, she did. And and took him for just about every. And now, you know, did we ever think we'd see
Hogan hawking big screens and stuff at Rena. I mean, did we ever think that we would we would get to
that point with him? Absolutely not. Yeah, no. And then I always thought that she was an odd
choice for him, but also she dealt she stood by him through a lot. Oh, yeah, she probably deserve
her money. I mean, I guess. To me, I just we had to mention it because it's wrestling related.
Now let's talk about starting last Tuesday night when we went off the air and XT went on the air.
Got a couple of bits on this I want to talk about. We're just going to say real quick.
Eli Cottonwood gets voted off. Does Nexus take the castoffs or do we just keep them where they are?
I think you keep them where they are. I mean, this thing because I've heard rumors. I'm like, I'm
like, keep them the six. Keep them where they are. Yeah, this thing gets this leave them where they
are. I really don't want this Nexus thing that I enjoy very much. I don't want to get clunky.
Don't get too big. You know, the NWO at 30 members at one point. Good Lord.
But there's a couple of guys on this thing that right now are standouts.
The first one to me is McGillicutty. His dad was Mr. Perfect. And his grandfather was Larry.
He's got he's great. He's intense on the mic. He's he's got a great and he's undefeated on the show.
I guess because they're pushing him pretty hard. I don't know that he wins it, but he's a
guy that they've got to get signed. He's great in the ring. I wouldn't mind Nexus taking the good
ones. I don't think they need to take every single castoff. Take the good ones.
Also, Riley, this guy, I don't like his gimmick. He's like the guy that bullied you in high school.
He's the varsity villain. But the guy's got great mic skills. If they could repackage him,
he's good in the ring. I hate to say anybody that's being proto-jaded by the Miz is great,
but the guy's good. Yeah, that's one thing about this business that's changed through the years.
I don't know if it's in ring talent. I think that it is stick. It's stick work.
There's guys that I think are great and like a Shelton Benjamin just could work the stick.
And that's so much a part of the business now that if you can't work the stick,
you're done. Real quick on the post, all you Texas fans, I put some Facebook

I'm great. I've only had the two seasons, but we've got two divas that are coaching a guy
in Caval who's amazing in the ring. I would love to see him do a program with Evan
Bourne because to me, he's the only guy that could keep up with him move for move. But could we get
it? Could we get away with these pros shedding their gimmicks and really being mentors to these guys?
Or is that asking too much? I think you... Yeah, I think that might be asking too much. I think
that's Vince wants to keep it that way. Because it seems like everybody else almost does that,
but them. Yeah. Because when you have the little interview segments and whatnot,
you know, I don't know. They do also have a guy by the name of Percy Watkins. Showtime Percy Watkins.
I've been kind of bare with him since they'll get go, but his finisher is one of the most insane

I don't know how you know you put earrings and lipstick on a pig. Still a pig. That's what this is.

But they've signed for their pay-per-view this Sunday, which again,
are we trying to duplicate one nightstand? This failed.

they're amazing to watch.

I think it gave him right around it.
I thought he was an incredible heel.
I thought he was a great as a heel.

We actually watched an entire episode of World Class
a couple of weeks ago.
Was he too patronizing as a face?

they could draw a lot of money and get main event type status.

By this time, the Von Erichs were in it, kind of.

Fritz was in it by name.
Kevin Carey had already went on to the WWE by this point.
And wrote it into a storyline where Eric Embry
defeated a devastation incorporated member of Tojo Yamana.
And he was, in fact, Eric Embry managed by the great Percy
Pringle III now, Paul Barer, indeed.
And the fact of the matter was the, when the match was over,
Percy got up and tore down the WCCW banner
from the top of the support of Troyal, and that was not written.
And that was not, was that the beginning of the end?
Yes, the problem was Jerry Jarrett is the one that bought
that Jeff Staddy, Jeff Staddy.
And what happened, the truth of the matter is Jerry Jarrett
could not afford to buy the copyright to WCCW and keep the name.
Fritz wanted too much money and charged them through the nose
with rent and support Troyal.
That, that, that changed Texas wrestling forever because you had
mid card, you made event guys, Usman King Parsons, Chris Adams,
Kevin Von Erich, the whole devastation incorporated guys
that were pushed to mid card status as he pushed Tennessee
wrestlers. That's where they were based.
Yeah, pretty much TNA.
That was the USWA, that was the, yeah, that's what it became.
And Jeff Jarrett, Jerry Lawler, Sid Vicious, Tennessee wrestlers
were being pushed in that federation.
And really, honestly, that was the beginning of the Texas
independent wrestling scene.
Gary Hart tried to get something fired up in like 93
called world class two failed.
And now you see a big vacant patch, a field over there
that used to be more Troyal.
Should have been landmark one more one more one more.
OK, 1997 very odd for a summer slam to be this early in the
month. August 2nd East Rutherford, New Jersey, summer slam
97 heart and soul, if you remember this, last summer slam to
use the old orange and blue ring logo, which I love that.

and sometimes you'd have a droids episode.
The Ewok movie didn't mind.

No, that was the Star Wars Christmas special.

We don't talk about that.
Now, the main Ewok, if you have seen the ads for the new family guy,
Jedi, it's called it's a trap.
The Ewok is being played by the bear from the Cleveland show.
Yeah, was Corey Feldman an Ewok?
Oh, no, and I know Willow, the little midget that played.
Yeah, yeah, I don't think Corey Feldman said that I saw.

Number seven, Super Mario Brothers Super Show 89 to 91.
Better than the movie.
And who played Mario on that show in the movie?

That would be Captain Lou Albandon, sir, but yeah, the movie was horrible.
The show Bob Hopkins has Hoscons.

Number six, which they got three years out of this.

I watch this show because when I think Mr. T, I think a gymnastics team.
Yeah, and that spun off into the cereal.
Hey, he made a lot of money from clubber laying to superstar.
Pretty much.
Then of course, the summer to WrestleMania one.
I mean, T was everywhere to T was everyone and two.
Yeah, one and two was in one two was the Piper.
Yeah, he talks about his.
Yeah, T was everywhere.
Number five, I was debating to put this in.
But I thought it had a whole Kogan rock and wrestling.
85 to 87 again guilty.
Oh, everybody.
Well, I did, you know, I didn't realize none of the real wrestlers
did any voices on that.
Nope. None of them.
I thought that was so weird when I was doing my research on that.
Yeah, oh, they were working so much.
They didn't have time to do the voiceover.
Um, I actually ran until 89, but was not made new.
Till eight, nine, eight, seven.

Uh, strawberry shortcake, but see, to me, strawberry shortcake,
that I don't know if that ripped off something else because weren't the dolls
made to code to coincide with the show, I believe the next one he's named.
I'm not going to say because that one does come up on the list as well.
The dukes 1983.
How did this get past me?
Because I never remembered there being a dukes of hazard cartoon.
Um, was, you know, and even the research on it was real sketchy.
It, you know, what's funny is when coin vans left came on.
When coin vans came on the deal, it was during the, that was the, the strike 83s
when Tom Wolf had, and they got a full season.
When Tom Wolf had in John Schneider left the dukes of hazard.
They left contract for race NASCAR.
That was a full season.
Well, on the cartoon, they left and coin vans actually came into the cartoon
for a few episodes and when John Schneider and Tom Wolf had came back,
they actually came back on the cartoon.
That is genius.
Every original cash member did their voice.
Really?
Yep.
Every single cash member.
Um, and to me, it was just the way the still, I mean, I saw a little bit of it on
YouTube.
It was dukes of hazard in a cartoon form.
I didn't think that they just rip off actual episodes original stories,
flash didn't talk.
It wasn't really anything real cheesy about it.
It just did that need a cartoon show.
Again, striking while they are in time.
Now this one, number three, I remember what I'm guilty.
Guilty here too.
Adventures of the gummy bears.
Who did that?
Do you remember who did that?
It was Disney.
That was a Disney property.
89 to 91.
Was that coinciding with the candy?
The candy was pretty popular at that point.
I don't remember the show having much to do with the candy.
Oh, good one, Lonnie.
Police Academy did have a cartoon and that's going to get addressed here in a minute
because there's something that coincides with that and the one he put above it,
which is actually on the list that I always thought was very strange.
But gummy bears, it was a decent show.
I mean, it was that Disney machine, man.
That was a weird.
I remember seeing that.
I thought it ran longer than that.
89 to 91.
I'm going to watch this show and just play it along with the duck tails and then tail span
and the darkening duck.
Never got into any of the duck chefs.
Never was my wheel.
Got a big friend of Scrooge McDuck.
I like Scrooge McDuck.
I like Huey Dewey and Louis.
I just, it never was my bit.
I was, but at this point, I'm animaniacs and tiny tunes and tests.
Yeah.
Those were my two animated shows at this point when you get into late late 80s or early 90s.
Number two, Rambo and the forces of freedom.
This is one that Lonnie had in the show.
I've got a quick note on this.
1986 light first rated R property together.
And that was going to be my point is that and police academy.
You make those into cartoons that are aimed at kids, but they're from rated R properties.
I thought that was weird.
The Rambo was the first one that was a R property that got a green let TV show.
Ran one season 86.
Do you remember he always had the same montage when he suited up putting on the bandana,
putting the knife in the deal?
It was always the same.
It was like watching he man become he man, like Prince Adam, which originally there was no
Prince Adam.
That was created for the show.
But whenever he'd go into Rambo mode, he always had the same motif of foot.
And it was just they just took that one scene and just stuck it right before the climax
of every episode.
But I always thought that was weird.
Yeah.
Um, did Lonnie get I saw some some things being nailed there.
He got number one.
Okay.
He did get number one.

Rubik's the amazing cube 83 to 84.
And you know, you know what the problem was.
It's hope people year to figure out the show.
Because it yeah, yeah.

Yeah, you know, Salt, you know, once again, researched this had to be a boring cartoon.
I just didn't see a whole lot going on.
I remember it's existence every episode what Rubik's good does.
Rubik's goes to the west.
Rubik solves a mystery.
Rubik's goes to swim.
It was very almost like Nick Juno.
This is what I need drops.
Yeah.
This is like very Nick Jr.
Like almost like you would show a door of the explorer and it's yeah, you know, Rubik's
goes to the jungle like real wheels off.
And it's a talking cube.
Lonnie says it still comes on one of the Latin networks.
They still show it.
Hmm.
Wow.
Wow.
I think it might be more entertaining in Spanish.
It's got to be because what I saw was just was just horrible.
I know, I know for a fact, there were some.
That of course Lonnie's name and I left off.
Even some modern day that that's a lot of adventures.
Yeah, I mean, there's even they're still doing it.
The bits have never gotten old, but you know, but, but you know what also has
to meet gone by the wayside is the Saturday morning cartoon.
Oh, for sure.
I know Muppet babies.
I left that off.
I was debating that one.
It was.
I actually watched that show.
You know, who played the nanny on that show?
Who was the voice?
Was it the mom from leave it to be?
No, sir.
The great Betty White really was the adult that you know, she was like Charlie Brown
teacher.
Yeah, although you could understand her, you never saw her.
Socks and shoes and maybe the bottom of the drawer and a hand every.
Yeah, vaguely, yeah, I liked Muppet babies.
Now, it was no tiny tunes.
I thought it was.
But I almost I almost put that on there, but didn't really.
But that was a big Saturday morning cartoon was the Muppet babies.
But I see I remember as a kid.
And I'm not a morning person, but when I was a kid, Saturday morning, if you
weren't, if you weren't up before the national anthem played, you were already
behind.
Yeah.
And you sat there with your bowl of cereal and your pajamas and you watch cartoons.
I look at it at a guide now on a Saturday morning.
There's nothing out because you got Cartoon Network.
You've got Nickelodeon.
You've got these full scale kids networks that run 24, 7365.
Cartoon Network has become MTV.
If you watch Cartoon Network now, they're doing a lot of live action shows and
things of its nature.
So you're, they're losing and they take all their good cartoons and they move
them over to Boomerang because Boomerang is like your classic cartoon network.
Yeah.
And which a not not nothing wrong with the classic cartoon.
Although I do like Adult Swim and we are getting a new season of robot
chicken.
I don't know when I heard that from San Diego, but I'm a name of splits in.
That wasn't really a cartoon.
That was live action filmed at
Six Flags over Texas.
Was it really the banana splits?
The opening montage with them on all the rides and all that film that Six Flags
over Texas.
Yeah, wow.
