Now not chronologically, because he's on that show this show every week. Too bad this is not a visual medium, a guy that comes September I will have known 29 years. On his way through Dallas, on his way to Arizona with three young ins and toe.

And we're going to talk a little bit about some of the relief efforts that will be going on this week as the show goes on. Much love to Kevin Durant who has just given a million dollars to the relief efforts. Much love to carry underwood who has done the same thing.

If I break up on this a little bit, I'm going to pull it as ahead of time. It's all right sir. When I was in elementary school, Paul I drive elementary and building his Montana at a very good friend of mine named Chris Wise Cup.

And Chris at the age of 12 accidentally swall the balloon and survived. But there's so much air loss that he had severe brain damage. And for 30 years he lived basically where he couldn't talk.

He can he all his movements were involuntary. He couldn't really communicate you name it. He just lied in a bed and looked around and that was his life.

And I was able to last time I saw Chris. I think man named Todd Garlock who was his nurse for the last seven years. We all went to school with.

He was he graduated second in his nursing school in Seattle. Inside it I'm going back to buildings work with Chris. And so Chris was 2011 was last time I saw Chris as last time in Montana.

And Chris passed away this Thursday. After 30 years of basically living life in the horrible situation. And he took his bath.

He put him as bed he is taking an nap and never woke up. And he was we say how tough life gets for us. This guy had a fight every single moment of his life just to live.

And what he had lived was a horrible situation. But now he's with God. And I really just it's tough situation isn't so long that.

So my prayers go to Chris to Todd. It took every for seven years. There's a place in heaven for you Todd.

And I know Chris is with God now. So rest in peace. Good buddy.

Yeah, African Methodists who pursue a church. We always refer to what most people call a funeral as a home going. Yeah indeed.

Um, I don't know he's very secret He I don't recall ever seeing him A long TV and I watched PVA bowling religiously along with your lovely wife who was a British chef descent Who was among the living today which we appreciate thank god And and as well as the great Leon art and and our friend Julie who was with us as well We had a big crew going to see Star Trek last weekend And so we said you know when we would see Iron Man 3 they had this thing in North Park and it was called the EETX Yeah, it hands theater experience and I was curious as to what this was so I looked it up and it's this thing called Dolby Atmos And what Dolby Atmos is it's 128 tracks of audio There are literally speakers in the ceiling in the fear so that's what so we wouldn't saw in that with the 3D And I said we would report back on it on POI tonight If I had to sum up Dolby Atmos in one word That one word would be disappointed. Yeah, or as as Kevin Sorbo one said there's a point I did you don't know that bit from that one do you know then they were doing exquisite acting Oh, apparently it was an episode of Hercules that he did were apparently he was just acting and read the stage direction There's a point. Oh my god.

Are you joking? No, that happened And that was a favorite line in black dynamite My faith yeah, so castically I'm the leader That could be one of the best movies last 10 years have you seen it live? No, I have we need to book that Black dynamite no, oh dear god It's a spoof on all the old black exploitation films and Michael Jai White is black dynamite.

Oh my goodness You would love this and there's an animated series to that cartoon that worked it last year Oh Dolby Atmos I was very disappointed like there are certain times I could tell like in the opening sequence It's dark track like you see in the trailer where they're running through the woods and they're getting spears thrown out of by the By the aliens and the planet and you could kind of hear it run overhead But the only thing I thought was kind of cool was like when Benedict cumbersback was on the screen and The camera would move like his voice would move with his face face moving Okay, that was kind of cool, but other than that, I was not not impressed there was one scene in particular I thought was a huge distraction. It's when Alice Eve's character is going through engineering and I'll see and how you doing Kirk Chris Pines Kirk is Addressing the crew as she's going through engineering you could they literally switch to like she's in engineering And it's overhead it just got all that echo where you're in like a big hangar type You know room and I didn't find that point that thing that as distracting as you but you couldn't hear what he was saying And you knew that it was something important, but you know the gist of it well, but still like they cut back from that shot and You know Spock is just kind of sitting there looking and I'm like he's waiting for his next sentence and I'm like no Go back and repeat what the hell you just said because I could understand a word because it was so garbled Now I know that you've kind of We've been kind of like yeah, yeah, this this wasn't what we were expecting but honestly I'm willing to give it another shot with Man of Steel because I personally I think Man of Steel would probably lend itself better to Dolby Atmist and Star Trek wood If I'm all the flight scenes and fighting in the sky Yeah, I'm thinking that might sound pretty good in that I don't really don't know if visually There was that much of a different especially in 3D I really think if it's if they can up their game on the audio and I really think that a movie like Man of Steel would lend itself better to add Miss and Star Trek If I could when I saw oblivion at the screen they had an atmosphere In that may the movie so do you felt like when the ship's rolling up and down these in the ships and I'm living that Tom Cruise came out about one to go If the shook the seat do you feel like you were in that thing and I'm like oh wow This is so incredible you're like shaking on you feel like you're there. That's what I'm saying.

Yeah, give it one more One more one more one more one more just you know, but I mean after this what's next? Cuz I mean of steel we got lone ranger. We see that room.

This okay if if if Man of Steel doesn't rock our world We see Pacific Rim and I Max like we say it now and even though this I shouldn't have to say this I think this is gonna be true. I think Pacific Rim is gonna be the surprise head of this I think it's gonna suck a bunch of people and people because people are not promoting it They just now start doing TV spots for it. I think a lot of people are gonna be close Yeah, because I was about to ask you what is this.

Okay. I'm gonna give it to you in basically It's gear almost a tourist list film. Okay Real simple robots versus godzilla Tony Jack like gigantic transformer type show gun warriors basically And show gun warriors versus giant godzilla's what that's a Merk I'm seeing I just want to ask and trailers for that movie already and the one I'm looking for to the world board see I'm looking for he's out on that.

But the New York Yankees hold the tie break Although the bet the Red Sox had a 10 point better run differential The Boston Boston's also one three straight There's a lot of momentum in that town right now in the central division the Minnesota twins still suck The Roi see remember I was worried about the Royals and I was like all of the Royals are in first place And I was saying that they're only gonna do the fan dangle thing like 20 times yet they fall into fourth in the division in the last two weeks So they are now five games below 500 so again the world is back to normal exactly The white socks Who have been beating up on my motor for the last three days?

They're a middle of the pack to Cleveland Indians are now a game in a half behind the Detroit Tigers But the Tigers back in top of the vision the world is back to normal in the AL West the Houston Astros Bad as this Hey, we're going to the American League and we're still gonna suck as bad as a marlin's Let's let's play let's tweak America's favorite game That we since we were boycotting hockey. I mean we're talking like T-Rex and Jurassic Park kind of detail, you know that kind of stuff if we games have come such a long way The only real downside in my opinion No backward compatibility at all And I'm gonna say something apparently game stops Quick, quick it again Well From they may have worked that little conundrum out not so much with the backward compatibility But it was the used game issue that They were going to have a pass that's tied to that console when you buy a game You put that passcode in that game belongs to that console You have to go through like kind of a rigour roll when you sell that game There has it has to be going to the cloud that they have to Disengage your passcode to that console so it can be sold to somebody else So they're making things a little complicated for a used game retailers so This current generation may be the last real generation where we get used games quickly and easily Yeah, they're making it harder for the bootleggers at the flea markets too What yeah and and I think what the one of the things that they're saying is that they want the majority of that money When a used game is sold back on the Xbox one or the PS4 They want the majority of that money to stay with the publisher not with the not with the retailer But aren't they trying to also go to a day where you're not buying games at the store where you're just downloading the entire game? Yeah, but they've kind of like like say for the PS3 It's a real headache to upgrade your hard drive Once you fill up that hard drive on the PS3 It's not like the Xbox 360 where you can pop a bit pop a smaller one out and put a bigger one in It's like it's just it's part of the hardware Now I haven't told you you can plug an external hardware in you can still put another hard drive on it But I don't know how much because the standard's gonna be 500 gigs on this thing, right? I've been fortunate up to go to Arlington The IV Arlington. I've seen the changing of the guard of the two with the unknown soldier. It's it's It is an incredibly humble you know, I saw my bucket list.

I've been there. I've been there too. It's it It's nobody can describe to you the feelings That you get when you're just standing there and they're doing the changing of the guard.

It's amazing. Yeah, my head's got to go off to a lot of the Boy Scout chapters a Boy Scout post that go out to the veteran Cemetery's and plant the flags Very similar to how the old guard does it at Arlington and you're 30 minutes from Boy Scout headquarters. You know there.

I got my name It's emotional the main junior year when we went back to DC We got that we got to see that memorial and at the same time While we were there, you know the statue that stands there. Yeah, that was sadly By the way, but they were actually cleaning like they're washing the statue when we were there And it was also kind of sat around You know the bike crew is great too. Those bikers that do the run this year.

I was every year in the morning Yes, when you're they actually just left a bike at the wall You know for the POW stuff, you know If they're gonna build they're talking about building another museum Will be right next to that wall where they'll show stuff that people left over the years Which I would think in credit another connect that will be awesome. Yeah, yeah, so Yeah, you know, they talked about sacrifice my dad's brother died and that's why got my name because the sacrifice Yeah, no idea. Yeah, yeah, yeah, well, even even as a veteran myself I still do take the time to honor and thank those that served before me and served after me being a veteran myself I still go out and do that and Unfortunately Since we're on a memorial day theme I have to give a shout out to a very strong woman that I know who has Who has been paid the ultimate sacrifice and I was with him when he did It is Michelle Griffin and her husband was a Comrade of mine staff sergeant Patrick Lee Griffin junior who died on May 13 2003 and I do vanilla I rack so this As any other week any other memorial day out I will honor him Because he he died for us and Being being there and seeing it happen it could have been Anyone of a handful of people me me included indeed and that's that is why Do again remember why we do this every year.

It's not just a three day weekend. It's it's you know There's a meaning behind it and whether you served or not if you know somebody just thank them Because you talk about a thankless job Yeah, you are literally in a position that that polarizes your nation And just think about how you feel when somebody just thanks you for doing something nice for Now multiply that by about a thousand yeah, and that's how it feels when you walk up to our our men and women who serve Or have served or are getting ready to serve it and that last that last category could be the most important because You gentlemen know how you felt that night before You know As soon as you put your pen to paper If any group of those three needs your support It's definitely that third one. Yep to encourage those people and thank them for the the journey They're about to embark on that will that will shape them for the rest of their lives absolutely So all of the veterans or families of veterans are listening to this show We cannot thank you enough.
