My name is Rob. And I guess winter is having its last hurrah with us here in the Dallas Fort Worth area. And the last 4 24 hours we've had rain, we've had rain, we've had cold, and we've had rain.

Just what we do. Because as she sends the first day of spring is in four days. The spring is at the equinox.

I believe it is. The ecosystem is the sole system for summer and winter. Don't ask me why I know that.

He couldn't be more excited about a video game as getting ready to happen. Can it honestly be said now that we're kind of on the eve of the new season of Game of Thrones, and we're finally sitting there saying winter is leaving. Well now it's all men must die.

He's the official fact checker of this show. And he is a man who's next six months are going to be very tiresome for him. Because he has to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates play baseball.

We thought we had a correction in a while. Last week on the show, I said that the Queen and Adam Lambert show would be in our fair bird in June. It's actually going to be July the 10th.

Oh, that's not that one week before the Lady Gaga comes into town. There's there's a one two punch for you. You heard about her inside by Southwest.

No, brought a girl up on stage, had her vomit on her. She's so nice. So she's out of the scooper now.

And when she's the one giving the keynote address at South by Southwest. Wow. They were talking about it on one of the radio shows I listened to this week and they were saying that 10 years ago, South by Southwest was 20, 25, maybe 100 bands that were looking to get signed.

Now it's 2,000 bands that are already signed. Like last year, they had Prince and a Pesh. Played South by Southwest.

There's a lot of big name acts. But not ludicrous because he was in our fair bird on Saturday. They were doing the Dallas St.

Patrick's Day for right. Wasn't Tyler the creator here after getting into a lot of trouble in South by Southwest. I know you inside of a riot.

I don't know if he's here. Yeah, he got in trouble and then he played a soldout show in Dallas. I think last night where was it at the gypsy town room?

I'm sorry that shut down. At Jupiter bowling lanes. Oh, yeah.

The parade yesterday or something. Luckily you think. There's no way I'm going to let that parade.

They said they were sent in 125,000 people. They were sent in good weather. Do you understand?

I didn't even get up until the parade was over. Because you know me on Saturday morning. I'm usually up 9, 9, 30.

But when the weather gets dark like this, I woke up it was almost new. Yeah, you forget what time it is. I'm like, well, I thought it was early.

I went to wake my wife up. I'm like, honey, it's almost 1. She's like, what?

So let us get into this thing and do a mask our talk. Speaking of rain. The food city 500 at Bristol isn't done yet.

Food city. It is not done yet because they are having rain in Tennessee as well. So NASCAR is going to be a real short segment at this point.

And then we'll have the official first two rounds pretty much decided by the time we're on air next week. And we're going to see how bad I can fail with this. Although I tied for the wind and the bowl picks this year.

Warren Buffett's put up a billion dollars if somebody can do a perfect bracket. With a B with a B. Some I'll get it.

You've already won at that point. I mean, not for us because you're not really flying anywhere. You're going for Dallas to Arlington.

But, uh, because you know, find a force here this year. Yeah. And our fair bird.

It is what it is. You know, we're going to be there in two years for WrestleMania. So yeah.

You should box up the food from ponchos. Bring it home. Just dump it right.

Late last evening of the passing of one David Brenner. He was. 78.

If my math is right, he had just turned 78. If you don't know who he is, then you're probably under 30. If you are someone, as the TNT show you to say, if you're a person of a certain age.

If I say that name, you know who that is. Right. This guy, I'm not exaggerating.

He did the tonight show over 150 times. He had to be right there with Flip Wilson back in the Johnny Carson era. His just showing up over and over again.

Born in 1936 and raised in poor areas of South and West Philadelphia. His father was a Vaudeville comedian singer and dancer performing under the stage name of Lou Murphy. Wow.

Who gave up a career in a film contract in order to please his father who was a rabbi who objected to his son working on the Sabbath. Spent two years in the US Army serving in the 101st Airborne as a cryptographer. He, after being discharged, he attempted to attend it.

Temple University where he majored in mass communication and graduated with honors. Was a writer, director or producer of 115 television documentaries. And he also headed the documentary unit of Western House Broadcasting, which at one time was the parent company of NBC.

This is his father, right? This is him. This is him.

115. Yeah. He's winning nearly 30 awards including an Emmy.

But, and that's even before he went to comedy. Good Lord. Why did he even bother?

His first paid gig was at the improv in June of 1969. Made his television debut in 1971 on the tonight show. 158 appearances.

He guest hosted for Johnny Carson 75 times between 75 and 84. He and fit on the list of carpets and favorite and most frequent guest hosts. Root five books and started four HBO specials.

Releases first comedy album. 1983 called Excuse me, are you reading that paper? The title rose from a gag.

We're in a fellow passenger on a conveyance. Asked a breader if he was reading a newspaper on which he was sitting. The punch line was sitting on the paper.

The punch line was breiner. was Brenner saying he was standing up turning a page and sitting down in the cat. When we know where his head was on that trip, if you don't know who he is, you need to look him up.

And you know, when you said his name, the first the first image that popped into my head was Belser. Yes, I completely got my wires crossed because I always got them confused in the 70s. Richard Lewis, the great Richard Lewis, described him as the King of Hip observational comedy, has three children.

He and the mother of his first son fought a custody battle lasting several years. He'd probably won custody in 1992. If you don't know who he lost a battle with cancer, if you don't know who he is, look him up.

And if you do, look him up again. One of the great comedians of our time, I would put him observationaly. I would put him on a car on a car on that scale level.

Yes, very much so. And I love that brand of comedy where you just look at everyday life and you see the humor in it because if you can't do that then you're not living in my personal opinion, he kind of walked that tight rope between manic and observational. He was kind of like if you put Carlin and Robin Williams in a blender, you'll come up with David Brenner kind of.

And Robert Klein, I never felt to the masses he got the respect he deserved. I agree. I don't think he did either.

But you were, you know, probably older than us. He was kind of a niche comedian, huge fan, David Brenner does it the age of 68. 70, I'm sorry, you serve, we'll be missed.

All right, so let's go to something sad to something sad for different reasons. I don't even know how to start this. I haven't had the run sheet in front of me, so I don't know.

NBC is rebooting the odd couple. We found out about three weeks ago that Oscar Madison will be played by Matthew Perry. Which I can kind of see that.

He can play the OCD cleaning Tony Randall role. Thomas Lennon will play Felix Unger. Who?

If you don't know who he is, he's the guy and I love you, man. That was trying to turn Seth Brogan Gay. Was also on Reno 911.

God, nothing. Look him up, you'll know him as soon as you see him. Thomas Lennon.

Okay, Matthew Perry. Matthew Perry is playing Oscar. Let's say Oscar Madison.

No. I don't know. Oscar is the messy one.

Right. I about to say that's gotta be wrong. No, that's no.

So he is playing Oscar. He is playing Oscar. Thomas Lennon, that makes more sense now.

So I've been up since 4.15. But that's all. I mean, I saw the TV news.

I've got very slow weekend television news. Well, it's going to be slow for a little bit right now. Because it's the final four.

No one's going to put anything big up against the, I mean, the March Manis and all that stuff. Right. I mean, realistically, you're ready for a lot of reruns.

If you missed something to do a chance to, you know, say it again. Well, with what we're fixing to be doing here in just a little while, it's a good thing because it means my DVR is going to be spared. What was this guy's name again?

Thomas Lennon. You still don't, you still don't recognize him? I'm trying to find him on IMDB as somebody other than a writer.

And maybe it's the same guy. It's the guy that he was on Reno 911. The only entry that's coming up is a guy that was, there's known for riding the 9th of the museum films.

Maybe I didn't spell it right. But that's his name. I know who he is.

So look up Reno 911. You'll see him. And of course, IMDB is crashing on me.

Thank you. Let's move on to the little hockey talk because a very big story in the world of hockey, especially as it pertains to the team in this town. Tuesday night, I believe the stars are playing and forward rich peverely collapses on the bench.

It was caught on live television. You actually see the guys pick him up and carry him out. Had a hard problem.

The league game, basically they asked Lindy Ruff who just starts Coach Lindy Ruff. Can't get you to that. They asked him what happened and he goes, let me tell you something about this kid as an athlete.

He regained consciousness. And the first thing he said was, we're down a goal. What am I back in?

Yeah. That's a hockey player. That's a hockey player.

He was released from the hospital. The next day there was a press conference held. He's done for the season.

But they don't know. They don't know how he's going to be after that. They're not willing to say either way whether his career can continue or not.

That is such a risk. That is such a huge risk. But you know what?

I'm glad he's okay. Yeah. But if a doctor says he can play, he can play.

You know, it's one of those things where an athlete is going to be an athlete, but you can't necessarily rely on the athlete when it comes to that thing. Because they're going to want to play. You have to listen to the doctors at this point.

But we're glad he's okay. Very scary moment. It was all over social media.

Shall we? In the Eastern Conference at Atlantic Division. The Buffalo Subways are now 49 points out of first place.

They are 1940 and the eight. Yeah. And you couldn't be happier, sir.

Yes. Are you tempted to give him Lundy rough back just to see if I can turn this thing around? Yeah.

My Florida Panthers are 12 points ahead of them who lost in overtime today. Oterwa is 11 points better than them. The Detroit Red wings are in the middle of the pack with 73 points, but that still puts them 22 out of first place.

Montréal is six points better than them. Tied with Tampa Bay. Toronto.

You might be to tell you first of all, Boston's won their last eight games straight. Which now gives them a 15 point lead over Toronto. God, Lee.

On March 16th. John's beloved Boston Bruins getting it done. In the metropolitan division.

What the hell? You're too polished. I just can't say that.

It retains the hockey. Lundy, are we launching the metropolitan division? Have you seen the price of a hockey ticket lately?

Fair point. The New York Islanders are in eighth place, which is last place with 61 points, but they're still 15 points better than the Buffalo Subways. Carolina six points better than them than the Devils, who have lost two straight.

Our four points ahead of them, but there are three points behind the Washington Capitals, the New York Rangers in fourth place right now. Tied with the Columbus Blue Jacket. So again, we can't play America's favorite game because Columbus is tied for the division.

Oh, I finally found a guy you're talking about. Because you know, I'm talking about that. Apparently they were in 17th.

They were in 17th again together. I don't count that. Oh, just saying they've been moving before.

The Philadelphia Flyers are in second place, but they are 15 points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins. So what is this over here? He and he's a Pittsburgh guy.

He's doing his emolution bits. When was the last time you watched the hockey game? I don't have three notes in a box in his house.

I don't know. I just should've just got whatever you're talking about hockey. I'm not your judge this man.

I looked the other way. Kind of like, you know, you know, you didn't look down. It's like he scores.

I'm like. But that's the way. He gets to Islander.

See up. I heard a commentator once said when you're talking about hockey. The way that he comes is like.

So this guy went to Boston College for four. Oh my god. It's going.

Pretty much. That's just the. It's.

But see, at least with soccer, you've got some time to ramp it up because of the size of the field. Hockey's like, well, wait. I can't.

Oh. In the Western Conference Central Division, which is central to nothing because there's nothing on East for West of it. The National Predator 68 points still.

31 points out of first place. I will say this about hockey real quick. That's what saves the winner of one thing.

Oh, by the way, I do want to win a Olympics update for you. The young man, I told you that the skater that won the bronze, the figure skater. Jason something.

Remember to show you that like our senior said he's known him since he was a big fan. His mother was our senior's original producing partner on the original show. Oh, wow.

Yes. Anyway. The Winnipeg Jets are one point better than Nashville.

But Dallas stars are in fifth place in the division. They are six points ahead of Winnipeg, but five points behind the Minnesota wild. The Chicago Blackhawks with 90 points are one point behind Colorado.

Colorado is seven points behind the central division leading St. Louis Blues. And in the Pacific division, the Edmonds and Oilers.

Think they probably want Gretzky back. They got 57 points right now. They are 40 points out of first place.

Ever since they've gone to these two divisions, there was such a chasm between last and first. It's ridiculous. Calgary is four points better than them.

Vancouver is 11 points better than Calgary. But there are two three points behind Phoenix. Phoenix seven behind the King San Jose is tied for first with Amahine right now.

The San Jose sharks have won their last six straight. Here we go again. That's that western conference sir.

I like Windows XP. Very user friendly. But you're only going to get security updates and stuff like that.

It's our new system. Or we just making you pay to be beta testers for Windows 7. I don't know why this one upsets me.

When they stopped supporting Windows 95. Because Windows 95 was the one that started the whole ball. I remember.

I was actually described in the local Dallas paper in an article on the launch of Windows 95. Because at the time I was working at a electronics giant known as incredible universe. God rest itself.

Interesting. And we had a big Windows 95 launch party. And I wore my big doctor.

Sue's had. I think described me like getting people hyped up in the paper. And I wish I still had that article.

But um. I did get people hyped up to buy an operating system. Dude, you should have seen how packed that place was.

Oh, because they probably felt like they had much of a choice. No, I mean, no, we did the midnight launch. And the place was packed.

There was there were lines starting at nine o'clock after registers. Because they couldn't buy them until 12 o'clock. And every register was packed.

I'm not kidding you. I remember it like it was last week. But this one getting rid of XP is upset me because XP.

To me has been probably the best version of Windows I've seen. Sevens. Okay.

Sevens still gets kind of quirky for me. I haven't even messed with it. See, eights.

You have eights when I'm on. And it's not all that different from seven. The only real problem with seven slash eight is that it was designed for touch screens.

But they're actually fixing that. Well, they're, yeah, but they're fixing it. They haven't fixed it yet.

But it's, you know, we've kind of been stuck with this particular format ever since launch. But I don't think that, I don't know that seven was designed so much for touch screen. Yeah.

Eight was. Because eight, eight to me looks like it has to be our own touch screen. Eight was, eight was designed to address some of the more pressing issues that seven presented with the touch screen interface.

Oh, is that what it was? Yeah, because basically they were trying to shoehorn everything that they had done with, ironically enough, the Xbox live dashboard. They wanted to make all their windows operating systems look like that because the phones look the same way.

I remember you had a windows phone at one point. I still do. I thought you didn't like it though.

I don't. If I remember correctly, I'm a research. I think it was that particular phone.

I mean, I'd be because of the operating system. It was just that particular phone. Mm.

I just, I don't know. I can't. Now, granted.

The, the really weird part is that Windows XP is now 11 years old. But to me, it still feels fresh. It still feels.

I mean, think about how many iterations of office we've gone through. Oh, dear. It's more XP got on every couple years.

Yeah. And then right now, you, you can get office 13, I think. I don't.

And I'm working on office 10 and I'm still getting used to that. But. I just, I don't know.

I don't, I just think maybe we should have kept this thing around for a while. Because you're going to have a lot of people like me. I don't know that the PC that I run XP on can run seven.

Yeah. Well, I mean, the seven's a bit of a memory hog. Well, I mean, they, they have kept it around for a while.

Think of how many different operating systems they've gone through since XP. Two. But, well.

Well, three of you have this stuff. Yeah. Um.

I don't know. It's, to me, this is, this is the, the real two headed beast of technology. Is it, you want a better operating system.

But whenever they offer it to you, you cling on to features from the previous operating system. Yeah, but it doesn't let go of. The problem is it doesn't necessarily get, you don't necessarily get a better operating system.

This is true. You know, it's, it's a case of be careful what you ask for. You want another operating system?

Okay. I mean, I, classic example. I used to be a guy that lived and died by, by, by Firefox.

Yeah. You couldn't get me on another browser. I know.

I live and die. Google Chrome. I be here.

Firefox just started having so many problems with websites that I would go to. Nothing's worse than Safari. God bless you, Apple.

I have many of your fine products. But Safari's a piece of crap. Or if you've ever used Opera.

No, I'm not present. Not granted. I remember.

That's gay. Don't get me wrong. If I'm an upgrade from VISTA, would you recommend me doing seven or eight?

Depends on your compute. Yeah. Depends on what you're, what you need to do.

You can actually go to the Windows website. And it will actually look at the specs of your, of, you, because you are using laptop or PC. Uh, desktop.

Okay. It'll actually tell you based on your stats. This is the best option.

It'll actually rank it. Like, I don't know. I think there's a one to five scale.

Something like that of how compatible those OSs are with your computer. Um, because they'll tell you if it's not going to run Windows eight right. It's going to tell you don't get Windows eight.

Go get Windows seven. I like Windows seven. I don't love it.

I like an XP better. But there are certain things about seven I like. I kind of like being able.

I like the my computer version of seven better. I still, I'm, I'm gunshot when it comes to the Mac though, and I don't know why. Got an iPhone, got an iPad, got an iPod, won't touch a Mac.

I mean, you like the my computer version of what do you mean? In seven. It's just a little bit more user friendly in my opinion.

It looks more like XP. No, I just think XP, it just, everything look, it doesn't look as slick to me. I don't know.

I'm saying like, on my laptop here, it's, it's a Windows eight laptop. Uh-huh. But, and you've got the, the, the, the live tiles that you can scroll.

Right. Right. Right.

Or you can go to your desktop version. That looks like you're running XP. No, I, I'm talking, I'm not talking about the desktop.

A new Batman game, Arkham Knight, the first trailer, hit the web today. No, no, it hit a lot. I want to say hit like the fourth.

Oh, it's been about, it's been about, I just saw a lot of people posting pictures from it today. They were just doing a spring. Yeah, they were doing a spring.

It looks great. It looks fantastic. And this is, it's back in Rockstady's hands, because they had another studio step in and do Arkham Origins.

Conor I wasn't involved in Origins, but he is involved in this. And they're saying this is the finale. This is the end of the Arkham series.

I don't know if it's the end of Batman games for Rockstady, but it's the end of the Arkham series. Maybe they're just doing a different series. Possibly.

I can't imagine. Because this thing looks gorgeous. Yeah.

And you finally, finally get to drive the Batman bill. And this Batman bill is freaking insane. It's like, it's like a hybrid of the Tumblr and the Burton 1889 bat.

With a couple of sprinkles of unfortunately shoe mockers. The glitter and clips on it. But these are so nipples in the bat.

You see the bat too. And this thing, you get a real good look at the bat too. There is a couple of points I was like, is that live action?

Like, it looks that good. What did you ask me? Is that David Porkhead?

This is not David Porkhead. It's because he looks like David Porkhead. But it's but unfortunately, it's next gen only.

There is no, there is no plan from the look at it. It needs to be. Well, that's cinematic, though.

But usually, usually the game looks as good as a cinematic, too. And stuff that's done by the studio. We've reached that time in history.

Speaking of that time, the street lights on. We end every show with a list. Pencil, I'm swings the user.

Well, this was a painful list. And I don't, I don't even know what the list has on it. So, well, this is stuff that I know could be brought up for debate.

The level of damage that was done by certain things on this list could be debate. I don't know what it better would be on there. Well, they're, I mean, it's way open.

I mean, there's more than 10 on here. Because I had to have a couple of honorable mentions. All right, let's get rolling.

This is, and I've got multiple sources that I was checking here. Of films that were so bad they destroyed people's careers. Or, you know, had a hand in their career ending.

Or just completely going off the rails. Go, yeah, going off the rails and it took a while to get it back. And there are no real particular order.

Because I really don't know if there's a degree of severity here. But the first one I've got written down is the list of a Berkeley and show girls. Did that kill it or was that just a nail on the coffin?

That killed it. I mean, because this was really the first thing she really did after, say, by the bill. And I know she was in the first wives club.

But she was one of the trophy wives. And I had a very, very small role still looks great. Her run on CSI Miami.

I was amazed by how great she's still a little bit. But look how long that took between show girls in this. And it's just her character was so unlike a pole.

And the person that film was unlike. And the problem with her is that she was always known as that sweet little girl. And then she comes out as this, as this Uber tantrum, throwing dope.

I just, that wasn't anything like. And Mario Lopez still gets work. Next one of the list is Mike Myers and the love guru.

He's career never recovered after that. But I almost feel with him like he kind of just didn't want it to go. He's still making awesome powers money, you know?

Yeah. But, you know, trick. I mean, that's a fair point though.

You know? But that's voice overwork. You got tons of people that.

Well, still that's still. You don't matter whether you're on the screen. I know it's your list, but I'm counting that.

But I mean, are you really counting that as a Mike Myers success? Yes. Oh, yeah.

Hmm. I'm gonna think about it. You, the Frenchy and then Brian would be called Trechen.

Don't you think about who originally had that role. Yeah. That was a farly role.

Yeah. Farly had done most of those. They had to go back and redo everything.

Uh, this next one hurts a lot. Okay. Sean Connery, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

That's what gotten the retire from the business. Working with Stephen Norton to directing that film was such a soul-sucking experience for Connery. He said to heck with this.

It was a terrible film. Hmm. But apparently just working with that guy.

That's going to work. There's anything that I adopt from him. It's horrible.

He was going, he was slated. He was about three quarters into development on the third alien film before he bailed. And then bump, bump, bump, bump, bump.

And then they brought him fincher and we all know how that turned out. Lord. Kevin.
