If my math is right, he had just turned 78.
If you don't know who he is, then you're probably under 30.
If you are someone, as the TNT show you to say,

This guy, I'm not exaggerating.
He did the tonight show over 150 times.
He had to be right there with Flip Wilson back in the Johnny Carson era.
His just showing up over and over again.
Born in 1936 and raised in poor areas of South and West Philadelphia.
His father was a Vaudeville comedian singer and dancer performing under the stage name of
Lou Murphy.
Wow.
Who gave up a career in a film contract in order to please his father who was a rabbi who
objected to his son working on the Sabbath.
Spent two years in the US Army serving in the 101st Airborne as a cryptographer.
He, after being discharged, he attempted to attend it.
Temple University where he majored in mass communication and graduated with honors.
Was a writer, director or producer of 115 television documentaries.
And he also headed the documentary unit of Western House Broadcasting,
which at one time was the parent company of NBC.
This is his father, right?

He's winning nearly 30 awards including an Emmy.
But, and that's even before he went to comedy.

He'd probably won custody in 1992.

One of the great comedians of our time, I would put him observationaly.
I would put him on a car on a car on that scale level.
Yes, very much so.
And I love that brand of comedy where you just look at everyday life and you see the
humor in it because if you can't do that then you're not living in my personal opinion,
he kind of walked that tight rope between manic and observational.
He was kind of like if you put Carlin and Robin Williams in a blender, you'll come up
with David Brenner kind of.
And Robert Klein, I never felt to the masses he got the respect he deserved.
I agree.
I don't think he did either.
But you were, you know, probably older than us.
He was kind of a niche comedian, huge fan, David Brenner does it the age of 68.

Let's move on to the little hockey talk because a very big story
in the world of hockey, especially as it pertains
to the team in this town.
Tuesday night, I believe the stars are playing
and forward rich peverely collapses on the bench.
It was caught on live television.
You actually see the guys pick him up and carry him out.
Had a hard problem.
The league game, basically they asked Lindy Ruff
who just starts Coach Lindy Ruff.
Can't get you to that.
They asked him what happened and he goes,
let me tell you something about this kid as an athlete.
He regained consciousness.
And the first thing he said was,
we're down a goal.
What am I back in?
Yeah.
That's a hockey player.
That's a hockey player.
He was released from the hospital.
The next day there was a press conference held.
He's done for the season.
But they don't know.
They don't know how he's going to be after that.
They're not willing to say either way whether his career
can continue or not.
That is such a risk.
That is such a huge risk.
But you know what?
I'm glad he's okay.

But if a doctor says he can play, he can play.
You know, it's one of those things
where an athlete is going to be an athlete,
but you can't necessarily rely on the athlete

To me has been probably the best version of Windows I've seen.

I haven't even messed with it.

And it's not all that different from seven.
The only real problem with seven slash eight is that it was designed for touch screens.
But they're actually fixing that.

But it's, you know, we've kind of been stuck with this particular format ever since launch.
But I don't think that, I don't know that seven was designed so much for touch screen.

Because eight, eight to me looks like it has to be our own touch screen.
Eight was, eight was designed to address some of the more pressing issues that seven presented with the touch screen interface.

Yeah, because basically they were trying to shoehorn everything that they had done with,
ironically enough, the Xbox live dashboard.
They wanted to make all their windows operating systems look like that because the phones look the same way.
I remember you had a windows phone at one point.
I still do.
I thought you didn't like it though.

If I remember correctly, I'm a research.
I think it was that particular phone.
I mean, I'd be because of the operating system.
It was just that particular phone.
Mm.
I just, I don't know.
I can't.
Now, granted.
The, the really weird part is that Windows XP is now 11 years old.
But to me, it still feels fresh.
It still feels.
I mean, think about how many iterations of office we've gone through.

It's more XP got on every couple years.

And then right now, you, you can get office 13, I think.
I don't.
And I'm working on office 10 and I'm still getting used to that.

I just, I don't know.
I don't, I just think maybe we should have kept this thing around for a while.
Because you're going to have a lot of people like me.
I don't know that the PC that I run XP on can run seven.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, the seven's a bit of a memory hog.
Well, I mean, they, they have kept it around for a while.
Think of how many different operating systems they've gone through since XP.
Two.
But, well.
Well, three of you have this stuff.
Yeah.
Um.
I don't know.
It's, to me, this is, this is the, the real two headed beast of technology.
Is it, you want a better operating system.
But whenever they offer it to you, you cling on to features from the previous
operating system.
Yeah, but it doesn't let go of.
The problem is it doesn't necessarily get, you don't necessarily get a better operating system.
This is true.
You know, it's, it's a case of be careful what you ask for.
You want another operating system?
Okay.
I mean, I, classic example.
I used to be a guy that lived and died by, by, by Firefox.
Yeah.
You couldn't get me on another browser.
I know.
I live and die.
Google Chrome.
I be here.
Firefox just started having so many problems with websites that I would go to.
Nothing's worse than Safari.

looks very interesting. It's a documentary about a guy who buys, he's like a collector. He

Vivian Meyer. It's some of the most beautiful photography you've ever seen. It's undeveloped. So he
gets a developed. And so it's, he goes in search of all these people that knew her.
And they, the trailer looks fascinating. Like nobody knew she did this. This was like a hidden hobby
she had. She never told me about it. And people are just like, this is amazing. We never knew
her to be like, looks really, really good. Also a movie called Rob The Mob. That was not a nickname for
me in middle school. Is that a nickname? Is that a documentary or a days at sports city? No, that
would be, when I was a kid, it was Swirvin Irvin, because the way I played basketball. I just
worked back and back and forth through the key. I had game. Swirvin. That's true. So sorry.
You had Andy Garcia's in this Ray Romano is in this Griffin. Done his in this. Michael

about a couple in the 80s who targets the mafia for heist and stumbles upon something big

He's career never recovered after that.
But I almost feel with him like he kind of just didn't want it to go.
He's still making awesome powers money, you know?
