It is the 17th of March in the year of our Lord in 2012, which means it's always so St. Patrick's Day.
It is season two episode 35, which means the clubhouse is on the air. We welcome you
whether you are listening live on the archives or even on your portable device. We welcome each and
every one of you. Don't care how you listen, just as long as you listen. I am Rob.
Children as always by chat, evening, sir. Good evening to you. We didn't really want to burden anybody
to take a couple hours out of their same Patrick's Day to perhaps clear their mind and up to do the show.
We may have been doing a couple of people a favor if we ask. I'm not going to debate that, sir.
So we are just going to kind of do this, the boo-doo that we do so well, going old school.
Yeah, we are. We are going to, you know, maybe do the acoustic show tonight. I don't want to be
we eat barstools or some house unplugged. It would be on the air. It would be nothing there, sir.
Part of believe it's already St. Patrick's Day, which means the first day of spring is next week.
And we never really got our winter around. No, which is being summer's going to suck. Yeah,
it's going to be harsh. We're going to be honest with our audience, but that's all they ask of us.
So let's go ahead and start with corrections. We only have one. I mean, it's not really
as a correction, but it was kind of an expansion on information from last week. I could not remember
before the Saints and the bills, who Greg Williams worked with, it was Redskins. Oh,
that's right. So, I mean, and as you know, for a show as wheels off as last week's was,
to only have one correction, that's not a bad thing. The organist chaos that was last week's show.
This is to be a theme on this show. It was a good time, though. It was a good time.
But yeah, I can't believe that neither was picked up on that because wasn't that when
our local hammer was still with his original station, and they were making those jokes
about them all the time. I didn't even know what the memory started to go. Plus, I've got a lot
of my mind. I've got a long weekend going on this weekend. I got to get up at four in the morning
of the Margo. Oh, dear Lord. I got another another ministry gig within the prisons tomorrow.
And I have to work tomorrow for me. Oh, she's made sure you are so burning your candle
at both ends. But you know what, when you pursue a dream, sir. This is true. There are
sacrificed to have to be made, and sleep is usually one of them. That's true. Speaking of which,
if anybody knows a drummer that wants to be in a Christian van, let me know. Oh, yeah. We are,
we lost another drummer this week. I don't know what's going on. We're having spinal tap
like with drummers. I'm very descending. I don't know what's going on. But that joke goes right
over my head. Yeah, yeah. You start to watch the movie. I know. So let's start with a little bit of

dealt into it. Right now, my current obsession, musically, is that we'll get into that later.

want really in-depth especially NASCAR. I mean that guy Cody's the whole reason that we ever
talked about NASCAR on this show to begin with. Is that guy knows NASCAR? He also knows college
sports as well. If you want really in-depth good we do cover sports in most cases under more of
a broad stroke. We're doing NASCAR because we don't know a lot about NASCAR but we want to be
we want to give equal time as much as possible. Now that being said I'm not going to give you your
ice dancing updates every week from NBC. Oh why not? But I mean actually we're showing the nationwide
series at Bristol Highlights right now on ESPN news. What was that step they threw out
there about Danica that she had she's committed to doing NASCAR the industry. She's full-time. Yeah
full-time. You know she's done what she's done for me. Yeah I kind of figured she was. But see last
year she was just doing a lot of nationwide races. This year she's actually moving into sprint races.

Peter Fassanelli who was in a fast lane was a great show. Cody actually got me hooked on that show
when it was on. That's the one with the with Bellamy and a wasn't it? Yep. I'm in Bellamy and
Tiffany and Rethesan. That was a good show. It was a great show only with two seasons. And the
way they entered the second season you were just like, oh, then it never came back.

freak accidents. Yeah. You know, one of them just tripped and fell and broke his leg. It was
over. I mean, and they were just like, look, these guys were our consomant professionals.
Like, they released a statement saying, no, HBO did. Okay. That we've done our under it. It's
no one's fault. We just couldn't let this go on any longer. Dustin Hoffman and the creator
David Milch and a bunch of other people had that. Yeah, he's also like had a memorial service for the
show today for the crew. He's a he's a he's a co-creator and with botchco that they co-created
and why they blew. So they had they had a memorial service for the show brought in all the cast,
just to thank them for doing such an amazing job and they thought horrible. Has that's got to
that's got to be harsh. Apparently Britney Spears back in negotiations with the
expactor. So was she still, is she still iron that $20 million page? I did. The article I read could
not be clear. So I don't know, I don't know what's going on there. I'm not, I'm not paying

Sorry about the luck of a show that my wife likes to watch. Fox has suspended Jamie
Pressley's I hate my teenage daughter. That does not surprise me. My wife will watch the
strangest shows. I walk past the season. They said they will wear the remaining episodes this
summer. So you can pretty much call that a day. When you use remaining episodes, which means
and this summer, in the same sentence, if that's all that's remaining, do the math. And I like Jamie
Pressley. I watched a couple of minutes with her. Well, great people could make bad show.
Oh my god. Let's stop on this. Oh, holy cow. Holy cow. I need to get the right.
We have breaking news coming out of the world of FIFA.
There. Midfielder Fabrice Mojamba. Mojamba apparently is critically ill after collapsing
during an FA Cup match. I know what the FA Cup is because we talked about this to work the other day.
That is the world's oldest soccer tournament. Right. That was actually one for the first time
day before yesterday with the anniversary of that. That says Bolton officials are reporting this
on the swimming team. That's the club he was playing for was Bolton. Collapsing during the match.
That is crazy. I remember seeing something on YouTube a couple of years ago of a player
taking a header or something and then stumbling away, clutching his temple and then just falling
down and not getting back up. He was he was he had passed away before they even got the
the stretcher on the field. So I hope it's not something like that. Our best to the team and the
family and all the fans there. When something happens, we report it. Absolutely. We have a television

Oh, great Ferguson. Hose of the late late show is now filming a week of late show late
show episodes in Scotland. He's taking the show on the road before, but this is the first time
he's taking it overseas. But the weird thing is the episodes won't air until May 14th. I'm telling
you, sweeps. Yeah, but why wouldn't she just do it then? I don't know, but I just four words
immediately come to mind. Jeff in a kilt. Oh, the possibilities. Hi. Out.
Okay. I'm on a certain level. I'm kind of ashamed. I don't watch that show more. Me too.
Because I think he is so much on my TV for now. As as unpopular as this may be for me to make
this statement in this room in particular, best late night talk show host on television.
Letterman's lost his death. I'm not going to lie. I stopped watching letterman a while back. I mean,
because it's just Dave's, Dave's time is coming quickly. Yeah, he has, he has become what he has
detested for so long. He's become that old man. He's just not edgy anymore. He's become
Johnny. He really has. And I know that's never for him. That's a huge, yeah. Yeah, I mean,
that's not something that necessarily too cast aspersions on, but that's not who he is. That's not
why he got to where he is, but that's who he's become. And I'm sure he's good with that.
And back to the soccer thing, can I just give props to yes, he p.n. news for not showing any close-up shots.
Yes, everything's a long shot or they're showing other players. So respect them for that.
All I've seen is just this guy talking about it. I've seen some of the other footage because I'm watching.
I'm looking at you. Um, kind of weird to tie into this next story, but
the comedian Gallagher, if yes, if for those of us that are older cats, if you remember who he is,
he was doing a show here at a place called Coach Joe's hat tricks in Louisville,
which is on the north side of Dallas. What he's doing at this kind of a joint. I mean,
when I saw that he was doing a show, I thought maybe the improv, maybe he is. No, no,
Coach Joe's hat tricks, yeah. As he is in the green room backstage, suffers his second heart
attack in the last year, almost around this exact same time last year, he had one of Minnesota.
And as of last night, he was in a medically induced coma. Yes. So are our, are, are best to his
family and friends as well. Gallagher with a guy that I remember as a kid. If you don't know
he is, he's the guy that would smash watermelons, dislodge a man with a sledge of man who had some
of the most, here he is doing all these smashing watermelons and everything else.
But would also do some of the most cerebral human. Yes, that you ever, he was the really the guy that
started. Why do you park on a park on a driveway and drive in a parkway? He started that whole thing.
Shipment goes by truck cargo goes by ship and it was, that was reading that the other day it was
just kind of weird for me. And you go into, you know, his go deep into his story about his brother
by his twin brother that went to her as Gallagher 2 and he actually had to want to take
him to court so he wouldn't use his intellectual property anymore. He actually got a season
to sit on his own brother from doing it. It's crazy. Yeah. So are best to his family and friends.
Fans of Kate Quirk, her new talk show officially has a start date that start date is September
the 10th. Interesting day. She just, I don't know, like, she's lost a lot of her
hotness to me. Like, so when she was America, sweetheart, when she was on the today show,
it was like when she went to the CBS evening news, they like completely changed her look in
age to her like 20 years. Yeah, because she had to be serious Katie now. She was serious Katie on
it today show. I don't know about it. But she had to be cold stones, you know, creepy. Yeah.
It'd be, I'd be had to be the ice queen. And speaking of things from the NBC network,
congratulations fans of grandma. NBC has officially renewed it for another year. Another show I
wish I was watching. I just can't spread myself that then. So there's that ABC family. I don't
know how I feel about this next thing. Do we need home alone five? No, we don't.
With ABC family, we'll produce it for the holidays this year. We didn't need three or four.
We barely needed two. Two of your bad guys in this, though, are Malcolm McDowell and Debbie Mazar.

I don't know. Make it mean that. But anyway, all they were doing on sports center, it was like
footage of Denver's owners playing taking off from Denver and then landing in North Carolina. And
then the van that was going to Duke. I'm like, do I need this? No. But he did work out a Friday
with the Broncos at Duke University, which I thought was kind of weird. And then today apparently
with Tennessee, with the Titans and scheduled for the 49ers and the Cardinals.
And as I said on Twitter, Friday afternoon, I thank God for small miracles because my
dolphins are out of the race. Completely out of the race. And they are going after Madness when
which I think is a better deal for them. Oh, good. Good. Oh, yeah, and your wife who is a British
sense that she is precious jewel fund. Oh, no. Oh, the green catch up at Burger King.
They've done that before. But you can buy green catch up in the store. It just oaks me out.
I don't know why. Yeah, jules and I were talking about, we were walking around time
the other day and I told her about it. That's just sounds gross. It's like,
and I don't care if it tastes just like it. It's just the fact that it's green catch up,
freaks me out. Hey, tomatoes are green at some point. I know what you have fried green

And then there's this other story. I don't know if you heard about this earlier this week.
The red skins and the cowboys are going to have some problems this coming year.
Over the next two years, the red skins will lose $36 million in cap space. The cowboys will lose 10.
Yikes. Apparently for what the league is calling abuse of the 2010 cap free season.
Huh? That's what that's what they are saying. This is one of the strangest stories I have heard in the NFL
in some time. Because this coming after a season that almost didn't happen.
Abuse of the cap of the cap. There was no cap. How can you abuse it when there's no cap?
About to say. Apparently there were there were warnings if don't go nuts with this because there could be
repercussions down the road. You're telling Dan Snyder and Jules Jones that they can spend
whatever the heck they want, brother. They're going to spend whatever the heck they want. And did
either one of them win the Super Bowl? Did either one of them? So there's punishment enough.
Did either one of them even sniff the Super Bowl? Yeah. There's punishment enough right there.
That's just a just not to say. I'm just saying. Yeah. And we are just about a month away from the NFL
ground. Good. This past season was too good. I'm already looking massive. We're looking forward
to next season. And that's really, and NFL talk again. That's a lot of NFL talk for March.

Finally got to watch the second episode of the ultimate fighter right before we went on air.
That aired last night. Good show. I like that show. It definitely has a different feel this year.
Because when you're alive, you always have a different feel for somebody. But all of the fights
will be alive. I thought it was in Brazil. It's actually in Vegas though. They're still doing this
in Vegas. Okay. Good. The fights are only two rounds instead of three. I guess they're doing
that so they can give themselves a time question. But the last night's episode ran up against it
because they only went two minutes and 16 seconds. I still lost the pick for the next fight.
No, they did say it. They said one of them, but they didn't say who is fighting.
Oh, I thought he was just going to fight the guy that just won. But last night, they didn't need
two rounds because James Vic wins over Darren Crickshank two minutes and 16 seconds with a
need of the side of the head that dropped that kid like a stoke. Oh, Lee.
But I really like where it's going. I do still wish. I mean, I know there's a
more crews as coaches. I thought man was supposed to be involved. That was last year.
I was it. Oh, man. That was it. Mayhem, bisming. I like man.

of genosis. Yeah. And then of course they make the brilliant marketing strategy move of taking
of Mars off of the title. The first one was of earth and then it was of Mars and then it was just
John Carter. Yeah. I mean, you know what the book is called? It's called John Carter. No, it's called
the Princess of Mars. It's the female character that's the lead character and this thing. But they
this thing was this thing could have been huge. Hugeer. This thing could have been a monster hit
for Disney. But I think they so much about this. I don't know if it was just focus groups or what just
totally led them down the wrong path. Number two, which took John Carter out last week and it's
second week. Another $6.7 million for a 15-day total of 142.3 million dollars for the war.

My first question is, they're doing another one. They did another book. Well, there's a whole series
of books. That's not my point. My point is it made a profit, but it took a worldwide to do it.
Yeah. Domestic box office was $10 million less than the budget of the film. It will be released
March the 27th, 2013. But again, we're all going to be gone anyway. Well, I liked it. I liked
Percy Jackson and the lighting thief. It was a fun entertaining movie. It definitely takes

Not at this point, which is what he's known for more than anything else. Yeah, maybe he's trying to
help somebody else come on. I mean, again, this was a guy that if you watch a lot of video episodes
of YoMTV ramps, his name is on it. He directed the famous NWA episode where they were on the bed of
the truck. Really? Have you not seen the documentary about YoMTV ramps? No, and they talk about
that episode specifically where they were just basically fab by Freddy was interviewing them on the bed of
like a flat bed truck. And they were driving through LA through Crenshaw. And they said in between
takes, or when easy wasn't on camera, he was, he was, he was throwing up signals. And at one
point during a break, Brett Ratner, who was directing and was there, said, what are you doing?
He said, right now, I'm saving your life, white boy. Wow, he was literally signaling to the
gangs that the kid was cool with the camera. Geez. Yeah, go back aside, I want to say it's a
VH1 rockdog. It's about the history of YoMTV ramps. It's really good. And yeah, so get ready for that.
I want to read this book, because I, you know, MTV, which again, we're in an MTV heavy show tonight,

note next week is I don't think anybody wants to compete with the Hunger Games is a foreign film
that I am all over. It is called the raid redemption. Oh my god. If you have not seen
this trailer kids do yourself a favor. It is a Japanese film. It's like if die hard was a kung fu
like if it would be this you put you put die hard and house of flying daggers and
crouching tiger hidden dragon and a blender and you come up with this. In the video game elevator
action in reverse. Oh my gosh. This this thing is going to be an assault on your brain.
I cannot wait. I may wait till it comes out of DVD because it's probably going to be one of those
go to the art house and pay 15 bucks. But I will see this. Now this looks awesome. This is one of
those movies we're going to have to say wait a minute. Run that back. I got to see that again.

Like because it sounds like it's a sequel to something but it's not. And I thought maybe it was
based on a video game or something. I remember they showed the trailer for this thing on the

Commentating in the big Rose Bowl show, they sold out the Rose Bowl in 87. And bands like Depesh Mode
just didn't do that back then. And you know, it bad enough itself was an amazing feat. But
the format of that film is basically where I think the creators of real world and road rules,
which is even more like that movie. So I don't watch road rules in the first couple of years.
Because you could still watch, you don't see the rap, you could still watch TRL, which was back
that one called total requests live. Yes. Because apparently we can't waste our breath on words anymore.

videos anymore. Even VH1 has at least has a countdown show on the weekend. Yeah, just for the
simple fact that you've got to go to VH1 classic to even get videos anymore. You have to go to
MTV James or MTV hits or one of these not even in HD channels. Yeah. But then again, how many of
those videos back then were shot? And even to watch new videos. But who's that question?
I mean, but we have to foster the next generation though. So that's the point. But to me that's the
point of this discussion is is why this that this generation to me has been denied a staple of our
generation that I mean, I hate watching standard definition programming on my high definition
television. It looks like crap. Well, and this also begs the question, why how can they even bother
to have a video music award show anymore when they don't show music videos? I don't get that
either. Why? Why do we have the VMAs? It's pointless. I mean, if all they want to do is
slap themselves on the back and congratulate themselves for another great year of reality show
programming, that's basically all the VMAs need to be. Yeah. Greatest greatest fight on Jersey
Shore. Give me a break. I mean, now don't get me wrong. Don't I mean, MTV has broken some really
serious ground in these fields. But it's all they seem to care about anymore. I don't want to watch
16 impregnate. Do we really want to promote that? We should have 16 impregnate. Do we really need to promote
that? No. We're going to promote Jersey Shore. Why not? Well, I don't think we should do that either.
I agree. You know, it's absolutely none of them are from Jersey. I mean, you know, and we may come
off his first press first class hypocrites because we love beaves and butthead. And it's not like
that promotes great behavior either. But beaves and butthead had videos. That is true. But but when you
watch this past season of MTV, not a lot of videos there. They were mainly making fun of Jersey Shore
in 16 impregnate. You know, it's sad whenever whenever MTV's programming is making fun of
itself because it's the best source of material. It just makes me pull my hair out. You know,
whenever I show whenever my daughter turns on MTV, she doesn't even see a shadow of what you
and I saw growing up. Not even BET in one. No, BET is going on the same way. Yeah,
CMT. Well, but then BET never really claimed to be just about music though. Yeah, but BET used to be real
video heavy. Well, because during that movement, you know, soul and hip hop back then was everywhere.
You know, it equals it. It crossed over every single demographic you can think of. But nowadays
it's kind of gone in the other direction. And you've just lost a lot of people. And
they've definitely. Yeah, MTV has definitely lost our generation. We're in the rearview mirror.
I mean, whenever you turn on the 80s channel on XM and you hear those original VJs,
they would be so completely at the place. That's how XM to me got it right. Yeah,
you know, the 70s that they all sound like this because that's all the DJs sound like in the
7 days. And then the 80s got the original MTV VJs, which I think is awesome. And then on the 60
channel, you got cousin Brucey, which fits perfectly. It just, that's the makes me sad. That's,
that's our only solace nowadays. It's sad light radio. That's the only way we can really
recapture what we grew up on because we sure as heck are not, I want my, my MTV,
then people at that way. I want my MTV, not their MTV, my MTV. And unfortunately,
whenever going to get it, it's you on that. So there's POI for this week. POI that's turned into a
POC. You know, your wife who is a British descend says that VH1 is more of a music channel.
I'm going to debate that because VH1 shows all real. You get like, you maybe get two hours a day
if you don't include pop-up video. Yeah. But it's all, it's all VH1 classic. But they do show

to me, the channel that's really from an HD standpoint, especially the channel that's got the

they do get a hold of something beat in the ground now. But they, I mean, but that is what MTV
should aspire to be naked over with. Yeah. That's what that's what MTV needs to aspire to be like again.
