But now he's kind of on the same schedule as me.
He is one of my dearest friends in this world, and very very soon he gets to change

over a year.

I was misinformed on the return date for Preacher.
It returns in June, not July, so get caught up on season 1.
The national video game news museum is actually north and east of the star, not south
and east.
I got, I get a little confused up in that section of town.
And the Star Wars land is opening in 2019, not 2018.
I saw a promo the other day for.
That's the other reason I figured that one out.
All right, we start every show during this time of year with NASCAR talk.
And if there's one guy that I'm going to have NASCAR talk with, that can actually help
me make sense as some of this, he is in the studio.
We were at phonics this week.
That is correct.
Oh, for the camping world 500, qualifying completely threw me off when I saw that on
the guide.
I was thinking trucks because there's the camping world series for the, it is.
That's a fair point.
Yeah, there's a lot of things about NASCAR that are confusing right now.
You're top 10 finishers today, but I, we were talking about this last week.
I do like how they, they have something called the Delta, which shows you how far they
are behind the person in front of them, yeah, which I think is kind of cool.
They also have their best speed and their best time on the, on the website.
Still confusing this year.

that we don't say very often on this show comes in 4th today in the number 17 Ford, Ricky
Stenhaus Jr.

What's the last time we said his name on this show?
We've said it before.
I know we have, because I know that name in the bronze medal in the number 18 Toyota, Kyle
Bush, obviously, no suspension involved after last week, no penalties, little, maybe
I think it was because it was the week of 316 that they just weren't doing well.
Speaking of, at the beginning of the pre-race show, they showed the whole fight, everything.
JR was announcing.

As it should be, right?
Let me just say about that fight.
If we're going to have two teams fight, we need them in different color suits because
how do you know you're even punching the right guy?
Probably one guy like kicked another guy and ran away, it's like, come on.
Russ is in the chat room, good to see you, sir.

Of course, because that's what it's always been.
In the silver medal in the number 42 Chevrolet, Kyle Larson, and winning the race by
31 hundreds of a second in the number 31 Chevrolet, Ryan, Newman.
His best speed was 130.8 miles an hour, his best lap time, 27.5 seconds, it's pretty
great.
Well, yeah, I was actually, what's that track, at least a half a mile around?
No, it's one mile, so it's a mile, so, you know, it's not bad.
All right, so, I'm to the point that we may not, points aren't updated, are the points
always a week behind?
Is that the problem that we're having?
I don't know.
I don't keep up with them through that throughout the week.
Because yeah, because right now they're saying it's updated to the last week's race, to
the cobalt 400, which is Las Vegas Motor Speedway, so that would have been last
week.
Because they've got mathematicians meticulously doing, I don't think they do because
if they had mathematicians working on this, it might make sense.
Like, I feel like I'm not a fan of the scoring system now.
So are we now top 12 get into the chase?
Or are we still top 16?
Top 16, I believe.
Okay, so let's go on the bubble right now, within, let's just call it within 15 points
of the 16 slot right now.
You've got, you've got kind of a log gym, because 16th right now is 7 times Spring Cup
Champion Jimmy Johnson, not that Jimmy Johnson.
So within 15 points of him, you've got four other guys.
Well, actually five, if you want to go within 20 points of him, Eric Almerola's three points
behind him.
Eric Jones is eight points behind him.
Paul Manard, yes, that family is four behind him, and six behind them tied or Matt
Kenseth and Daniel Swarez.
So you've got a log gym right now, but, and it usually is at the beginning of the season,
there are huge swings in the position, especially with, with all the bonus points.
I tried to use my phone to figure it out, and the lady inside my phone was like, don't
even try, don't even ask me because I can't do it.
In 15th right now, Clint Boyer is four points ahead of Jimmy Johnson.
He is tied with Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch.
There are all three points behind Trevor, Bain Trevor, Bain is only back on Ryan Hiddly,
Newman by one point.
Let's see, Newman is four behind Casey Kane, Casey Kane is tied with Kurt Busch, who are
both 14 points back on Jamie McMurrey, McMurrey Furblack, four back on Kevin Harvick,
is four back on Ryan, they call him this stone, Bainy.
Bainy is eight points back on Joey Langgano.
Leggano is 18 back on Martin True X Junior.
Martin True X Junior is 18 back on Chase Elliott.
Elliott is seven back on Brad keselowski, and keselowski is six back on Kyle Larson.
And then there's playoff points, but I just don't have time.
And to make it even more confusing, is all the drivers that have had that have won a race,
they can tank for the next 20 weeks, as long as they stay in the top 35, they're still in the
chase.
Which means they can play for the Philadelphia 76ers or the Wakers, which is kind of nice.
Very confused by all this.
Okay, so next week, we're not going to be on air on Sunday.
We're going to talk about why here just a minute.
But next Sunday, we're going to be at the Auto Club Speedway, which is where California.
California. California is a two mile track for the Auto Club 400.
Oddly enough at the Auto Club Speedway, so that kind of works out.
And then after that, we have the STP, not the band, the oil additive,
the STP 500 at Martin'sville, and then the week after that,
will be the O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 here in Texas at TMS, and then of course,
the week after that is Easter, so they won't be racing.
After that, the 23rd will be the Food City 500 at Bristol.
You're saying, Rob, we're talking about a lot of races coming up.
Usually only do one. Stay with me. Okay.
Let's talk some TV talk while we're at it.
So it's a really interesting story today.
Netflix is going to be testing out on certain series of theirs, a skip intro feature.
Where if you don't like the two-minute opening credits scene,
when they're going to pull that out of there, so you're going to go straight into the show?
Yeah. It doesn't bother me all that much.
We do that on that 70 show.
We got the whole season on DVD, and if you just skip once, it passes all the singing intro.
I just, I don't know. I don't know.
I got that big of a deal to me.
Well, if you're band-watching, the intro kind of gets,
be eating.
Oh my god. Daredevil. I just think that intro is so cool.
I could watch it over and over and over again.
And yes, I am still stuck in the middle of Jessica Jones.
There, there, I might have some time off coming up.
So if I do, because I'm caught up in all my shows,
really, I have been, I have been diligent because, and let me tell you why.
They, in December, they opened a gym at my office building.
So about a month ago or so, ish.
I mean, I was the first person in the door that they've opened the gym.
I've been working out at least three times a week, sometimes four, sometimes five.
Well, about a month or two ago,
I found out they had a pretty good Wi-Fi.
Let's struggle with first, but I think they got it under control.
So now I have a system.
I go to the gym, I go to the gym in the morning.
So my alarm goes off in 430.
Get up on the road by five.
Jim opens a 530.
Our, my treadmill has this little touch screen thing.
We're, so I can pull up and watch TV on the treadmill.
So I pull up channel 11, so I can watch my, I don't put the audio one,
but I just pull up channel 11 on the treadmill, so I can get my daily headlines.
And then I, whatever show I didn't get to watch the night before,
I queue up on my phone, because I used the Wi-Fi, I don't use my data.
So I use my phone, stay with me.
This is almost as complicated as the NASCAR point system.
But I use my phone to cover up the clock from channel 11,
so I can't see how long I've been on the treadmill.
And I have a little button that clears the countdown clock.
And I watch my shows on my phone, which is helping me keep up.
Cool.
It's, again, it's complicated.
And TV's gonna be kind of a big theme tonight.
But it works for you.
Yes, it's, it's my, it's, it's my system.
I don't even know.
I, I feel like I'm, I'm a borderline info marshaling right now.
But it's working, because I'm caught up now.
I got a little bit of lax this week, especially with wrestling.
And I had to burn through raw and smack down in the last 18 hours.
But we got it done and we're caught up.
So we're good.
I don't know if you heard this story about SNL.
No, for the last four episodes of the season,
starting with Jimmy Fallon on April 15th,
Chris Pine on May 6th, Melissa McCarthy is hosting on May 13th.
We all know it's gonna start that show.
And the season finale on May 20th will be Dwayne Johnson.
We're not sure if he's promoting fast,
faded the furious or Baywatch.
I can't remember how the release dates are working on on those.
Uh, faded the faster, friendly fate F8.
Yeah, is the, is that right on the same time?
It's April 17.
Okay, so it'll already have been out so he'll be probably pushing Baywatch at that point.
Russ says they just don't make TV things like they used to.
I agree.
Yeah, we're going to talk and that's going to come up as we talk about POI, but it's going to be live in every time zone.
Wow. So the last four episodes of the season, if you're on the west coast, SNL will start at eight thirty.
Wow, prime time. So there, I think this is kind of neat because you're you're not worrying about the take delay.
And everything's on time for the entire country.
Just now for us, it doesn't affect us in the central time zone because we watch it live at ten thirty.
Yeah. So yeah. And there's one more episode coming up April 8th. I can't remember who the host was and I couldn't find it when I was rushing through trying to find everything.
Speaking of SNL, in August, there's going to be a four episode half hour series that's just a weekend update.
With Colin Jost and Michael Chay.
So we can update the wheels have been kind of limping a little bit. They've been wobbling a little bit.
But this has been this season has been one of the best they've done in a while.
Over as a whole, there's been some stumble.
They've had plenty of content. And this task is solid. They're occurring cast is solid. I mean, I miss guys like Jay Farrow.
But you've got to I mean, Kate McKinnon is running things right now. I mean, she's just amazing. Leslie Jones has really up to her gain.
A big fan of 80 Bryant.
Sessley. Sessley strong. How are you doing? Beck Bennett. I mean, as long as there's a Putin, this guy's got a job. I mean, it's been a really, really good cast this year.
And I've really been impressed with what the show this year.
Also NBC News, they have renewed shades of blue for season three. Never watched an episode.
Never even heard of it.
It's that JLo thing.
Okay, you put her on anything. I'm pretty much out with this one. Yep. I've always been that way. And now that she's dead, even erod double out. Yeah, even with movies. She's in it. No, I ain't watching it.
I'm less, I mean, if I'm going for one of our vendors, I'll go.
But not by choice.
Not when she's not when money's involved. I'll just put it that way.
And I like the Ray Leona. She's in it. Sorry, brother.
Obviously, might not watching the show not hurting it because they just got renewed.
And TV has said for season three of screen the series, they're going to reboot.
So, I mean, I think they're going to reboot the series or reboot the movie. I don't know.
But again, never watched an episode. So,
FX has renewed Legion for season two.
We'll talk about Legion later. Put a pin in that. Okay.
Sci-Fi has renewed the expense for season three, which I have heard very, very good things about.
I've heard this show is really, really good. And they have renewed 12 monkeys for season four, which will be the final season.
Season three, though, is going to air entirely over three days.
Wow, between May 19th and May 21st, they're showing the entire season three of 12 monkeys.
So it's just going to be round the clock 24. Well, I think it's doing like they're doing like four, four and three to like 11 episodes.
So, but they'll be done in blocks.
For fans of Azizan, sorry, master of none returns the Netflix on May 12th. I've heard good things about the show.
He's funny.
My one of my favorite stories he tells me tells the story about how it's cousin gotten a Twitter beef with Snoop Dogg.
It is one of the funniest things.
Ballers season three has a premier date, July 23rd.
So, Dwayne kind of in hanging back a little bit. He's back in full force. So,
Alec Baldwin is going to get roasted on a spike TV special, so I just spiked TV picking up the mantle of the roast.
I think they have. And it wasn't, no, that was common.
It's common essentially.
But you know, it's Viacom either way. So, and let's just say next week, you'll get my thoughts on his new film.
That I screened yesterday. So,
Ryan Murphy, this is the guy that pretty much owns FX right now.
He's the guy that created American Horror Story. He's a guy that created American Crime Story. He's the guy that's done a few.
He's now doing another series for them called Pose.
It's going to take place in mid 80s New York City. Nice. So, Lord, we know.
If I see you're going to do a cameo, don't be greatness.
But it's, I want to say it takes place in the world of fashion.
Because that tends to be closed, but they, they're not talking too much about it.
TV on DVD and blue right this week, insecure season one. This is an HBO show that I've heard good things about.
Master of none. We just talked about season two.
And to Netflix starting to release their shows on DVD and blue right, I'm kind of interested in how those sales are.
Because I'll pay 10 bucks a month and I can watch whatever I want or I'm going to pay 30. I don't know. It's kind of weird dynamic.
But Master of none season one this week, season three of Batman, the brave and the bold. I enjoyed that show.
It was a little tongue in cheek. It got a little cheesy from time to time.
I always thought Dietrich Bader was a good voice for an animated Batman. He's no Kevin Conroy, but different kind of a flavor.
With them releasing him on DVD that helps people like me.
And because I have no internet. Oh, okay. I thought you guys got that up and run it.
No, it's not available where I live. Okay, but the last episode of that show is really, really cool.
I'm a big fan of the final episode of that show.
The complete collection of the television version of the untouchables available this week and
WWE 24 WrestleMania Monday. I don't know if you. Oh, so you can even get the network right now. Can you?
Just streaming on my phone. Oh, okay. If you haven't watched that, watch that one.
It's about to lead up to last year's WrestleMania. Okay. It's really, really well done. I was really, really impressed by that.

We're going to be live on the air from the Texas pinball festival. If you have never had a chance to attend this and you live in North Texas do yourself a solid.
This is going to be located at the Frisco Convention Center, which is right next to Dr. Pepper ballpark where the rough writers play connected to the embassy sweet type.
40 bucks will get you in on Saturday. Now you're saying it's a flop 40 bucks.
Trust me on this. You will make that money back. This is actually kind of a bargain because once you get in.
It is the entire Frisco Convention Center. It is not a section of the Frisco Convention Center. It's not a room. I mean this thing if I were to equate it.
I mean it's a full blown probably three or four ballrooms connected together.
It will be filled with pinball games from the 30s until today video games will be in this room. There's food trucks that were out there last year.
I'm sure they're going to be back this year. There's a swap meat if you just want parts for things. They're going to have vendors out there. One of my favorite vendors VR cabs. I've no doubt is going to be there. These guys are amazing.
These guys will custom build you a pinball machine case that they put flat screens in and a PC inside it. So you can have like 80 pinball games that you can just cycle through and they're dead on.
Like you will be able to see actual pinball games that you can compare their video version to the actual machine that will be there.
So I could get the Metallica pinball machine for a fraction of the cost.
If it's available. Yes. I don't know if it's a fraction of the cost because I mean these things they're a little steep but totally worth it.
But there's last year they unveiled. Two years ago when I went they unveiled both of the rest of the WrestleMania tables, which was both legends and the WrestleMania itself.
I'm amazing. Last year they unveiled the Game of Thrones pinball. The amazing Spider-Man pinball and the Ghostbusters pinball.
So I've got a feeling. I can't base this on anything but there's a brand new Jetson's table that I've seen ads for on Facebook.
I'm hoping they have it because I will play it and everything's on free play. Once you get in you don't need any cash.
You can play whatever you want. Everybody's real respectful to each other. You play and you move on.
Sometimes you can team up with other people and play two or four player games and I'm telling you you're going to find pinball and video games that you're like I don't even remember that until just now when I saw that.
I mean last year they had a Mortal Kombat. Somebody had taken Mortal Kombat X and turned it into a cabinet game that came with headphones that were Dolby surrounded them.
This thing it is one of them that they have tournaments every year so you can sit back and watch people play. It's one of the coolest things I've ever been to.
I would be going even if I wasn't going to be doing the show there. This is my third year in a row attending this thing.
It is and you can you once you pay to get in you get a wristband so you can come and go all you want that day. Oh, that's cool.
So if you want to go because right where it is is like right in the middle of everything. Stonebriders right there is a ton of restaurants like it's a last year they had food trucks. So you may not even have to leave the grounds to eat.
Right and it is amazing.
Elvira Mr. So the dark is going to be there.
Sam Jones who played flash Gordon he's going to be there.
There are rumors. I have heard rumors fairly substantial rumors, but rumors nonetheless that somebody is going to be there and I don't want to jinx it.
But if we can get this person on the show I'll tell you off air.
If we can get this person on the show, you will probably see me lose my cool.
Not in the level if it was Steve is not Steve Borden. Let's just put it out there. It's not staying.
If that had happened just shut down the show because I'm useless at that point.
But this would be a pretty big get and I think there's a greater than zero chance that it can happen.
Is it on the level of John Landis?
No, no, no, no, no.
And this person would say I'm not on that level.
But it would be still be a pretty big get and I would be excited.
And when I tell a bar buyer this off air, he'll understand because he's known me for many, many, many, many, many years.
He'll understand why this would be a pretty cool thing to have.
So I'm going to be reaching out probably tomorrow or Tuesday to see if I can make this happen.

They had it last year, like double the width with a ski ball ball instead of a steel ball.
Yeah, I mean, I played, I played some of the stuff last year that I was just like, oh my god.
And these, these tables are pristine.
Really?
They had a guy last year that was building a table during the show that was a spinal tap electronic
table.
Was it black?
Yes.
It is some of the stuff there.
It's amazing.
And they like to have all of the old school video games.
It's come join us.
Here's the deal.
I'm going to be there all day.
I am getting up crack it on on Saturday, loading the gear in the car.
And I'm headed to Frisco.
I will be there when the doors open.
And I will probably be there at 11 o'clock at night when they shut the doors.
They're going to have to kick you out.

At Friday night, they're open to open the morning.
Really?
Saturday.
I believe 11 and then Sunday, it's like nine to two thirty, I believe.
Let me get you the official numbers on that.
I mean, because I'm telling you, I can't talk about this enough.
When we actually got the green light to do this, I was over the moon.
I hung up that phone.
And luckily, I was sitting in traffic.

I would have run my car into something.
And I want to say the quick shout out to one of my co-workers, Sean Dan.
It's he's the one that kind of orchestrated this for me.
Not realizing what a fan I am.

It's going to be Fridays from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight.
And then Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

The whole weekend for 65.

I was having a conversation with someone,
this last night I was having this conversation.
It was last night of this morning.
And we were talking about one of my favorite new shows,
my guilty pleasure show right now.
And my guilty pleasure show right now is Riverdale.
Thursday nights on the CW, it's, it's the Archie gang,
but it's got like a Twin Peaks vibe to it.
It is.
Remember when you, when you first started talking about it.
Dude, it is so much better than it has to be.
And I can't stop watching it.
So I was talking to someone I was like,
dude, get caught up.
You know, I think episode six is next week.
I think they're off this, they were off last week.
They're off this week and they come back next week.
Cause they don't want to compete with the tournament.
And this person I was talking to was like,
well, you know, they haven't done the,

I was talking to a friend of the show, John Contherin,
and one of his daughters.
And she was like, I rather just watch it all one time.
I'm like, are you kidding me?
And she's not on the way to week.
And so I want to talk about binging TV shows
because to me, it's a double-edged sword.
Cause just this past Friday,
Iron Fist dropped on Netflix
to very, very mixed reviews.
And I mean, very mixed reviews.
I've talked to people that have said,
this is nothing but a televised turd.
And I've talked to people that are like,
you know what?
I'm kind of digging it.
And Iron Fist, I'm a huge fan of the character.
So again, I'm still stuck in the middle of Jessica Jones.
So it's good to be a minute.
But I don't know if releasing an entire season at one time.
First of all, it's not a season.
Right.
You should do what they do in England.
It's a series.
Right.
Series one.
There you go.
Yep.
I get that you get the instant edification,
but I also kind of like the fact that, oh man,
I don't know the way the other week,
so you're watching the episode.
Yeah.
Cause for people that,
it's no, well, document on this show,
the huge game of throwing a fan.
Love game of throwing.
But I've talked to people that are like,
no, I just have to wait to the seasons
of where I can watch it all together.
I'm like, no, but that.
That spacing between the episodes is so like,
it builds it up and you're, you know,
we always have game with our own talk on Monday at work.
Like, okay, here's my theories.
Yep.
But it's not.
I wish I, I'm glad I don't get to watch it all one time
because I like that plus you can plan things.
Like, what are you doing on Wednesday night?
Well, we watched this show.
Exactly.
I have shows every night.
Yeah.
I don't have no more Friday anymore.
Just go ahead.
Well, right now we've only got two nights.
We were watching, did you see the series,
the season six on the history channel?
No, I did not.
If we're good things about it, man.
I thought people talk well really well about it.
It was cool.
I will tell you what,
probably my favorite new show with the season was taboo.
And yeah, taboo was dope.
I've got it all on DVR.
Haven't watched an episode.
Dude, all I'm telling you, I'm telling you
because you have all eight parts on your DVR.
Yeah.
Don't just say, I'm going to sit down
and watch the first one because you're
going to watch the whole thing.
Taboo is one of those shows that you fire up
and you go, I have no idea what's going on here,
but I cannot stop watching.
Because every, I mean, it's a full hour show.
Yeah.
Well, so with commercials, it's an hour 15 and hour 20.
But you get an hour of programming.
And it's Tom Hardy.
Yeah.
And it's Jonathan Price.
You know, say, and that's why I wanted to see it.
It's, it's some of the most gangster stuff I've seen
in a long time.
Especially when you get to that last episode
and his entire plan on ferals.
You're just like, oh my God.
And it's like I said why I posted my watch the first episode.
They helped put the F and FX.
I'm just telling you now.
Yeah.
Be prepared.
And that has been, I've noticed that the cable channels
have been less, especially FX.
Yeah.
FX has been pushing.
I mean, they've pushed the limit since the shield for me.
But my other thing is like, did you watch the American
Crown Story People versus OJ Simpson?
Yes.
When the mother F bond dropped, I was like,
what, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, yeah.
Like it literally freaked me out because it's commercial TV.
They're not supposed to say that.
See that coming.
Now, I still think OJ made an America was a much better series.
The documentary shows is amazing if you haven't seen it.
But I just don't know that I'm okay with binge watching things.
Because first of all, I can't.
What I've realized is I'm good for one episode of a show at a time.
So what I have to do, like with Jessica Jones,
I'll watch an episode and then I'll go watch something else
and then I'll watch an episode of Jessica Jones
because my attention spans getting shorter.
And you've already made me sit through 56 minutes.
I need a palette cleanser.
And so now that I'm getting caught up on my DVR
because I got movies and stuff I'm watching,
I can now go back to that,
but I still have to have a palette cleanser of some form.
Even if it's like a half an hour or something on boomerang.
Right.
I need to reset my brain.
Yeah.
And I blame JJ Abrams for this.
I really do.
Because his shows get so cerebral that I can't.
And again, I get kind of squirrely.
I can't do like 13 episodes of a show in a row.
No.
No matter how good it is, I can't do it.
By the way, guess what comes back tonight?
Into the Badlands.
No, I know five essential tonight on AMC.
Did you ever watch this in one of that?
No.
Six episodes do get caught up.
Really?
It's a post-apocalyptic feudal kung fu series.
Oh.
And it works.
Dude, I can't even explain it to you.
Oh, again, that would be an entire podcast.
It's one of those shows that you're like, I need to find the comic source material.
There isn't.
It was a creative last year as a six episode thing to just kind of bridge between
walking dead and fear when fear the walking dead started.
And the ratings went through the roof.
It's awesome.
And it comes back tonight.
And I've got like, there's like a whole circle of us that are like, we're talking
about this tomorrow.
I was flipping through the channels the other night and just it was on.
I keep seeing it on the guide and I'm like, okay, I'm going to see what this is about.
And now I've got to watch all of it.
That's that.
Billions.
You know, Don, Don, Don, Don's, it stoles that show.
I've never watched it.
But for good things.
Right.
Now they're showing season two.
I want to jump into the middle.
I want to see season one.
And I don't have internet.
So I can't get it on demand.
Oh, yeah.
And that's why I watch it on my phone.
I'm on demand is its own POI.
But we can kind of tie that in here.
My problem with on demand is it's not, it's not always on demand.
Right.
Sometimes you're only, you'll get sporadic episodes.
Well, sometimes you'll only get like the last two or three episodes.
Another thing with on demand, which I'm sure I know it's different POI.
But we can kind of go buy it with you, verse.
This says, you can get all this on demand.
Well, I want to see this.
No, that's not on demand or up already paid for or you just have to get it from
like iTunes or something.
Yeah.
You know, I just, I can't binge watch.
I can't do it.
I know people that can do like my wife got this fast and loud.
She's at like 15 episodes back up right now.
And one of these days, she'll decide it's time and then she'll knock it out
the day.
That's our Monday night.
I can't, I just can't binge watch stuff.
And part of it's my OCD, if I see multiple episodes of anything on my DVR
freaks me out, yeah, especially when it says, six new, because it's kind of like,
when I start watching raw, I'm like, I'm committed to this for the next two hours of
my life.
Did they cut it to two?
No, it's still three, but I don't take the cameras.
Oh, sorry.
It's still a solid two.
Yeah.
You know, and it wears miss something.
Where's the out?
I can't do it.
I don't understand.
Like, I respect people that came in, and part of it to me is the time commitment,
too.

Where I'm just like, I never thought I'd see this day, but I'm like, there's so much
other stuff I could be doing right now.
Like, I was driving around yesterday, and I was like, there's a time in my life,
where I would say, yeah, I'm just locking myself in a house all day, because all I want
to do is watch TV.
I'm not at that place now.
I'm like, I got friends I can visit.
I'm hungry.
I want to go do this.
Yeah.
I'm still going to watch this.
It's weird.
That's why we usually have one or two shows, and that's it.
And they usually come on either at eight or nine.
So I get home at three.
We're usually out in the yard doing stuff.
Are there any shows?
Because Jen and I don't have this anymore.
But are there any shows that you watch that?
I think they call it like binge cheating or something, where you have shows that you watch
together, but if you watch it before Christy does, like, she gets mad at you.
No, no, we don't.
Jen and I used to have certain shows that's like, look, we watch this together
when it happens.
Game of Thrones was like that in the beginning.
Yeah.
But then she gets distracted.
Now if she's busy, then we'll just DVR it and then watch it together.
Now, do you have shows that you do that, but you, you're like, look, I need to watch
it.
You don't have shows that you have to ask permission of him.
We still haven't watched this because we can't wait on you.
We don't have that many.
There are certain shows that we do watch, but we, but our schedules are so out of
thing that we can't.
Like, I have to say, hey, have you watched SVU yet?
You know, I think that's one of the few that we have that we share.
We don't have a lot of shows that we share in the morning,
which is kind of weird.
Because we used to have a lot of shows that we're like, look, have you watched this
yet?
We get to something DVR.

Because I've already watched it.
It's okay.
We have the fast and loud or street outlaws on Mondays.
Face off on Tuesdays.
And then we were watching six on Wednesdays, but now that's over,
we got to find something else.

And then everything goes on the stretch run in April.

Which I can't get ahead of myself.
So usually on Thursdays and Fridays, we're looking for a movie to watch.

let me tell you something about the Dallas International Film Festival this will be our fourth year
doing the diff which is is mind blowing in itself we've made some amazing friends both in the
press core and with the Dallas Film Society who puts this on every year isn't this a big one like
a big anniversary well this is technically the 10th anniversary because it's the 11th annual yeah
this lineup and I said this on social media and the president of the Dallas Film Society actually
quoted me when he saw me that night this lineup is stout they are doing this year one of the
themes is they're doing a salute to 1967 the opening night film March the 30th will be at the Dallas
Performing Arts Center which is a caddy corner to the wingspeer part of that whole complex
will be celebrating i'm good lord hold on one of the battle cat is up on the on the desk and I don't
trust him um oh my son this is the 50th anniversary of Bonnie and Clyde oh that's right it is
happening we will be there for for the opening night that's the one with fade underway and worn
baby you know parts of that was failed in my fair bird wasn't really well I'm gonna say something
I'm excited because I'm gonna get to see it on the big screen that is the opening night film this year
they will also be showing films from 1967 like Camelot cool hand Luke
guess who's coming to dinner be original animated jungle book nice they will also be showing this
year the new pizza dragon as one of the family films they're showing uh they're showing some
great films that were she featured at Sundance South by Southwest they're showing a documentary on the
age of the cassette tape called cassette a documentary mix tape which I am very excited about
there's going to be a documentary about film scores called score of films a film music documentary
I'm very excited about I have a little I every year I map out the Dallas International Film Festival
I have all the films I'm going to be able to see and there's still eight or nine that I want to see
but I can't figure out how I'm going you can't split yourself uh Dinklage isn't one of the films
I'll be showing this year there's a lot of big stars that will be in these films I am hoping
at least one of them will take some time to talk to us they're doing a conversation and screening
with judge Ryan Hold but they have not said what the film is yet there's going to be a lot of
panel discussions there's going to actually be a panel discussion about film in 1967 which I'm very excited
about this is and this thing goes from March 30th to April the 9th it is a full week and a half
we will be doing our traditional two shows both Friday nights the opening Friday night isn't
going to be a lot of people it's going to be at the Angelica there's going to be the Magnolia there's
going to be multiple venues and then we'll also be doing the second Friday night when we
will be doing our post show for DFS honors and we could not be more excited and we're so thankful
to people like the Dallas Film Society people like James Faust and Lee Pappert and and everybody
involved over there who have done the make John Wildman who's handled with a PR this year a dear
friend of the show and a guy I am a huge fan of a Jessica Moon who just kind of she just kind of
navigates everything for us it is as far as I know we were the first people to ever do a live podcast
from a Dallas International Film Festival three years ago we could not be more excited to work
with them again so let's map it out again next Saturday there's coming Saturday March 24th
from March 25th I'm sorry we're going to be live at the Texas Pinball Festival the following Friday
will be live at the Dallas International Film Festival two days later is a little thing I like to
call WrestleMania yeah so we'll have that'll be three shows then you have our fourth show will be
DFS honors the following Friday maybe a wrap up show on Sunday these and then after that we've got
the USA Film Festival which are hoping to cover coming up may we're going to have the Texas
High School Musical Award which we will be covering we've already talked to the people at
Dallas Summer Musicals they're excited for us to be there these but you see belts on kids
and make sure you got room in your phone or your iPod because we're going to be we're going to be
blowing up here in the next couple of months we could not be happier about getting ready
uh rust wants to know if you should bring pencils for the cassette movie you might have to
if you have to rewind the film I don't know but
these things are picking up steam and these next few weeks I'm going to be living on
Mountain Dew Kickstarter so be aware of that I will be I will be working on fumes
but it's fumes that could not be more worth it for us we are so excited and we are so thankful
for everybody's number we don't do this without you guys without the empire none of this happens

the album so Steve Hackett formerly of Genesis has a brand new solo album out called the night siren
this week three is that reunion gonna happen never they just kidding it's not that they don't

I'm uh I'm out of control today I've been waiting all weekend to share this news right
now that it's out there all right so let's get into in memorial I'm gonna spring it down just a little bit
we only have one to talk about this week um 90 years old for Chuck Berry um passes away this week
um parents and now I'm gonna choose everybody okay let me hear somebody at the door
Chuck Berry may believe rollover Beethoven rock and roll music Johnny beat good
uh you never can tell which was used in the twist contest scene in Paul fiction no particular
place to go which was actually used in the updated version of Sergeant Bilco that had Steve Martin in it
was born into a middle class African American family in St. Louis went to Sumner high school
while so high school student was convicted of armed robbery and sent to a reformatory where he was
there for 1947 after he got out he worked in automobile assembly plant and he began performing
with a Jimmy Johnson trio in 1953 there's a big big break came in when he moved to Chicago in May of
1955 when he met muddy waters and would would join chess records went to uh he was one of the first
people inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 1986 as he should have been uh he's included in
many a lot of people's greatest of all time lists this is a guy let me tell you his influence
my niece uh turns I she's six this year I think when she was a little bit of girl her mother's parents
got her listening to Chuck Berry like she would get in the car and say I want to listen to Chuck
Berry please and they would play the same seed I have the same greatest head seeded that they have
and this is one of the pioneers of rock and roll music but it wouldn't have happened if it hadn't
been for Marvin that's true Marvin Berry's cousin we all know that from the end of the seed
day it's you don't know the reference kids just look at it I don't have time to tell you
this this one I got this this text yesterday I was like wow rust is actually the first one to break it
for me bro rust tends to break news for me quite a bit and he like he can beat the internet sometimes
I don't know how he does it but he he texted me and I was just wow I mean 90 to heck of a run yep great run
he will be missed be interesting to see what they do for him at the rock and roll hall of fame coming
up here in just a few weeks yeah that induction um I'm kind of hoping they do the same thing like
last year what they did for Prince was over the end credits they played him at the rock and roll
hall of fame playing while my guitar gently weeps which if you've never seen that clip look at
it up it's over all over YouTube that dude destroys that guitar solo and as did the guy we saw recently
we wouldn't saw let it be but Chuck Berry passing away at 90 he will be horribly horribly missed
a guy that I don't know that we talk enough about when we talk about greats yeah but he should be
recognized as such that being said let us move on a hell hell rock and roll brother you

eracle a grand is a god that I had actually talked about at my job for the first couple years
of my company I ran the training program and I would always tell them I would gather my team around

being thrown around also apparently there's also another tape that has surfaced
with Alexa Bliss who's your current SmackDown Women's Champion and some pictures of former
Deva Katelyn may have surfaced as well respect to her family though her mother came out and
released the statements had looked this was done illegally we support our daughter this should never have
happened normally we wouldn't even give this airtime but it's out there we're not I'm not even promoting
where they are you go find in yourselves but I'm gonna tell you something I say this for awareness
and this is the reason we cover the story we're doing it for awareness I want people to be aware
that these people are these kind of people are out there and I hope they're found and I hope
they're prosecuted the full success of the law privacy is privacy yeah and it's not like you can

part of the season for the get-downs happening I loved that show that was amazing
Edward James almost has joined the Blade Runner sequel so say we all really that was already
finished I guess not play runner 2049 was announced this week but isn't that coming out later this
summer they may be doing some restutes okay you remember no let's see also thought saw the first
poster for the first dark tower film it is set for July 28th my best friends birthday and it's just
pretty cool looking poster very impressed by that saw today uh aquaman is officially set for December 21st
2018 and the Batman has been in delay and DC's trying to get another movie up and running in its place
but they're gonna put the aquaman against Han Solo I guess I'm not possibly probably the
week before I think instead of right before Christmas maybe just oh yeah you know
Dwayne Johnson's next action film has been set for July 13th 2018 it's called Sky Scraper
things enemy of the state meets the towering in Furnown okay basically he's a guy who's a
responsible for security and office buildings and I believe he goes to Tokyo because you know everything
of Tokyo blows up and they have tall buildings yes and apparently something goes horribly wrong
and he's framed for it that's what you're looking at uh venom has a release date really october 5th 2018
I didn't even know it was that same thing this thing is happening because Sony just doesn't care anymore

on the matrix and speed racer and Jupiter ascended just remake the third one
leave the first two alone remake the third one had its issues too so he's of the opinion that they're
going to end up merging together and I know if I go too deep then I'm going to start ruining the second one
but a lot of his theory comes from the last five minutes of the second film
and dear god if he's right I will never hear the end of it because see my thing is I am kind of
poking the bear because I'm kind of feeding it because I've given him a couple of alternate theories
that would still wind up that way but he may be a genius that's all I'm saying
because the company that distributes the John Wick films summit in in Europe is also distributed
by Warner Brothers who did the matrix films and then once that got out all of a sudden later
that day that any connection there in was removed from Wikipedia so now it's turning into this

that it's the new uh Woody Harrelson film yeah I saw the interesting trailers it's watching the trailer
but I was it I couldn't really pay attention a DVD and blue right new releases in places you get
DVD and blue right new releases this week you got little ones out there on the on the compound
if you haven't seen sing no get this for the kids I love this movie it's

it's worth it it's a wonderful wonder my mom called me and told me how much she enjoyed this film really
yes also this week assassins creed boy that took a bad at the box office
miss loan with Jessica Chastain which I've heard good things about uh julyetta which is a foreign
film I've heard good things about uh tower which I actually have on my DVR because they showed it on
PBS this is a documentary about the tower shootings of the University of Texas okay uh I have
people are going crazy this actually showed last year at the Dallas International Film Festival and I missed it
PBS showed it I DVR it I haven't watched it yet but people are like a lot of it's re-imacted
through animated sequences and there's people that that are taught that interview they're like I've
never talked about this before and so it's really I've heard it's really well done
a kind of murder which the movie that kind of came and went this is about a guy who
has an affair but he's a Patrick Wilson's in this Jessica Beels in this and the girl that he
has an affair with winds up dead it's kind of like a reverse gun girl I guess you could say or like
the girl on the train in 1960s New York Walter Stackhouse is a successful architect married to the
beautiful Clara who leads a seemingly perfect life but his fascination with an unsolved murder leads him
into a spiral of chaos as he has formed a force to play cat and mouse with a clever killer
and an overambitious detective all the same time rusting after another woman. Hayley Bennett also in
this as well. See the trailers it definitely looks creepy. Ben you're uh criteria in collection
this week I wish she had was here because one of his favorite uh Peter Sellers being there
being the criterion and something called multiple maniacs. It sounds like a kid's film.
Tech Talk this week let's get into it. Congratulations to the guys who made Horizon Zero Dawn this
is an adult over 2.6 million copies. Wow and our friends over at that nerd show I believe
they have their review up for it now. I know they've been they've been working with it a little
bit lately. Firestorm has been confirmed for injustice too so that roster just keeps getting bigger
and bigger and bigger. Telltale these are the people that did the walking dead series of games
right now they're doing telltale the Batman the next one they're doing will be Guardians of the Galaxy.

And Sonic Manio announced that South by Southwest this weekend has been delayed but their new
game will be called Sonic Forces. So be ready for that. All right I think we're almost caught up.
We're still a little bit behind but let's get into the list. Again I've had to do both
PLI and the list because you know Chad still went back and it's taking me a while to figure out
what I was going to do for the list but I mentioned I tease this earlier and this is what we're going
these are the top 10 shows I'm still holding on to and I'm not quite sure why.
You with me? Yeah all right so number 10 it's a three way tie.
Arrow Supergirl on the flash. I'm not sure why I'm still watching these shows. Season 2 of Supergirl
has been rough to get through. It's gotten a little too cheesy. The flash emo berry is wearing me out.
You screwed up the abade flash point deal with its son and Arrow is just so all over the place.
I did just once I want all of you to go I'm going to be the one to destroy you all over Queen and
I just wanted to go yank the first yank gonna be the last. You kill me the show's kind of done.
I need to see W to curve this around.
Now legends of tomorrow is actually doing really well for me. This week's episode
they travel and they're in World War II and they're they're going here for this thing pieces
is the thing called the spear of destiny which can alter time and space.
Well they're apparently they're going to be working with JR our Tolkien and the name of this week's episode is
the fellowship of the spear. Oh gosh. So and I like it because it's kind of
rust it's telling us that ant man in the wasp has an official release of July 6, 2018.
What I love about legends is it doesn't take itself too seriously and it's it's kind of having fun
which is where supergirl was for a while and now they're trying to be too serious where they can come on.
I'm going to stick with you because the geek in me wants this to be successful
but you've gotta give me ammo when people ask me why. Which leads me to number nine and I'm talking to you
Gotham this show. Oh like when we talk about Fox screwing up continuity you can't screw it up any
more than they're doing with Gotham. Like your average villain by the time Bruce is old enough to
be Batman it's going to be 90. Like it's just it's the entire last season and a half of Gotham
has been it's like they've written themselves into a corner and they don't know how to get out of it.
So they just throw more villains in. What's wrong with that? I was at Jasper over there.
They both want to be on the show tonight. I'm waiting on their mother to get home.
Jen's been down with Sandra parents in San Antonio this weekend so they're they're getting a little
antsy. This mommy should be home anytime now. Like I love everybody involved in Gotham.
Just the writing is killing me. It just like I've got people that that are that are big geeks
like me that have already bailed on the show and my Batman bias won't let me do it.
Like I'm the guy that watched was that beware of the Batman that they heard on cartoon
network that was like a man. I watched every episode. So that makes me a glutton for punishment.
Number eight and this might shock you. This Simpsons. I don't know why I'm still watching this show.
I never really got into it. Like it has moments. There's moments that I watch so I'm like okay that's kind
of funny. But that's all I'm getting right now. Like family guys back on track.
They only guys killing it right now. But the Simpsons it's just...
That's where I'm at. Maybe it's because it's been on since 1863 and then just you know I am
a complete it. Number seven it's always sunny in Philadelphia and they're getting two more
seasons. They're getting for two more. Wow. And it's like they've run out of shock value
but I'm still there because everybody they it's like they watered it down from doing it.
Like the league new into bail. The league bail and they may maybe one season too long but they
still new into bail. But it's always sunny. It's just like we're running on a stuff to
do shock value. Number six Marvel's Avengers assemble. This is the animated series that Disney
is doing. It's so bad. The original like Earth's mightiest heroes are what they called it.
That was awesome. I was a huge fan of that show but they kind of kidded up a little bit.
Kind of like they did with team times versus team times go. I can't even watch team times go.
I could barely other team titans with that style of it. But it's just this ultra-on revolution.
It's not working. Now they're supposed to be doing secret war next. You might have me back if you
do it right. But I'm not holding my breath right. Number five and we mentioned at the
top of the show that you got renewed for season two, Legion. I have no idea what's going on here.
Like I was watching it this past week and there's only two episodes left in the season.
And my wife walks it about halfway through and she sits down and we're one of the very few
times we're actually having dinner together. And we're watching Legion and she looks at me and
she goes, do you know what's happening right now? And I said I think so. Spoilers if you haven't
watched this week's episode yet in three two don't say the one. This entire episode takes place in
his head. They're trapped in his head. And it's just every episode is just trippy. Like
60s like the writers had to have hit an entire sheet of LSD and went okay dude here's what we're
gonna have a dude right and he's trapped in the astral plane but his body's still in the physical
plane but the only way his body can be preserved is if we put it in like a like a 1950s
diver suit right and in the astral plane he's gonna live in a big ice cube that's gonna have
an apartment in it and it's gonna be totally 60s out and he's gonna be played by your main
Clements but he's gonna mention karaoke which really isn't gonna make any sense because they
wouldn't have had in the 60s. Maybe they're it's a fox marvel property do I need to say any more
maybe they want you to drop acid before you watch it and you might have had a kid that plays the
main character is the kid that plays the beast and you're in the beast he's also on down Navi
and if you are a fan of comics you know who he is he is professor x is son he is the one that
usher's in the age of apocalypse but if you don't know that you see Legion and the oh has the
ex in it and you're like oh it's no no it's not it's not an ex-man series also
I have a theory on that show because Gene smart from designing women isn't it and she always wears
some form of very light coloring I think she might be the white queen that's my theory I'm thrown it
out there because your main Clements character who's her husband he's very white Kingish
so I'm wondering if they're part of the Hellfire Club just go through I don't know
haven't read but it's my theory and I'm sticking with it number four another show that just
makes me angry marvels agents have shield what are we doing this LMD storyline was terrible I
thought what they did with Ghost Rider was good but no no this LMD story is horrible
and now they're all with like a dream state and in the dream state may works for Hydra
and now grants back because they're in this dream shot up and the only reason I think I
lose and I'm really holding on to the show is they do tend to tie it to the cinematic universe
and I'm again I'm a completeist so I have to know everything that's going on and all the
crossovers number three and NBC needs to get off their duff here powerless this show is bad
for those of you that don't know about powerless powerless takes place at a branch of Wayne
Industries that makes gadgets it's Alan Tudick Vanessa Hudgens Danny Pooody like it's got a good cast
but it's so wacky smack it eater oh it's just god awful but it's got the Wayne name on it
yep I gotta support it you're a completeist
number two and if that hurts you this one's going for tomorrow number two and the list of shows
I'm still watching and I can't keep rid of it I don't know why comic bookman
wow I love Kevin Smith and he's he's really the reason I'm still watching
now I have not seen yoga hoses yet fully admit that what takes me out of comic bookman
is the fact that I know it's all staged because when you watch the end credits it says casting by
like I watch it because number one is Kevin and I'll always support him because I'm a huge fan
have been since 94 but they do like the people that when they do their pawn stars bit
people kind of bring in some cool stuff so I can watch it from that angle like oh I haven't
seen one of those in years that's almost I can almost every time I can call what it's going to
sell for really because the person says it and then Walt gives his alternate I go that's what
they're going to give it for I'm pretty I'm I would say I'm about 80% accurate I'm like just
offering 125 and be done with it I want to see more cool stuff I don't care about the bat boat
it's just so badly acted and number one and I don't think there's a person on the planet that's
going to debate me on this the number one show that I'm still watching and I don't know why
one order special victim's unit I have been I've been a one order junkie since 1991
we have got to call it we have got to throw in the towel on order SVU is just getting worse
it's like how else can we screw up Benson here's what we're gonna do to learn
like this this show is so bad and like every episode this year has just gotten progressively worse
whether it's the acting whether it's the writing it just it makes me want to throw things but
I'm still watching it because again I'm a completeist and I'm gonna see this thing out to the
bitter end I have people that use that are just as big a law in order junkies as I am and they're
saying to me why are you still with this why are you still doing this why do you torture yourself
in this way it's just so bad is there anything you want to add any shows that you're not sure
why you're still watching no because we really don't watch that many shots kind of fair that is kind
