Allow us to testify if you will that it is Tuesday evening.
It is 8 o'clock on the east coast.
It is 5 o'clock on the west coast.
It is Tuesday night.
It is the 15th of February in the year of our Lord 2011.
That means one thing.
That means it is time for the clubhouse with Robin Cody.
Welcome everybody.
I am Rob.
Each and every Tuesday night.
And maybe a couple other extra times.
I am joined by Cody.
Like Lou Gehrig.
You have to miss a show.
I would like you to say you are the happiest man alive.
Let me try that with you.
You are done.
That happy man alive in the world today.
We have got a lot to get.
We say that every week but man.
Lots of stuff to talk about.
If you follow me on Facebook.
We had some things to say last night.
Woo!
Brother.
But let's get some mistakes and corrections first.
We are also watching some classic NWA wrestling in the studio right now.
Dusty's up there.
Cut the promo.
Got the enough from Pricewaterhouse.
We have one correction.
But we are not going to tell you what it is yet.
I did a bunch of that quote.
We have one correction.
It's coming up later.
We are not doing it now.
Because...
I mean, is it really a correction or is it just...
We miss predictive.
Is it a misprediction?
A correction?
Could be.
I don't know.
With the new format that we are going through.
We are mixing things up on each and every week.
Keeps it fresh.
Keeps it fresh.
Keeps it new.
Keeps it happy.
However.
We are going to play something that we haven't played in a while.
Real quick for you.
I won was the last time we played this song.
Was it that long ago?
Been a better part of six months?
When you hear this song.
It means that at some point in the show tonight.
There will be a major announcement.
There are actually two major announcements.
We are going to make tonight.
Some of you know about one of them.
A few of you know about both of them.
But assuredly, my friends.
One of these could be the biggest announcement we've ever made on the show.
And I know we say that quite a bit when we have major announcements.
But the one we are going to talk about the end of the show tonight.
Could be the biggest announcement we've ever made.
Could he agree with me on that?
Oh absolutely.
Huge announcement.
I've been chomping at the bit for the last week to make this announcement.
We are going to make later on.
I've got to wait a couple more hours.
So when you hear this song later in the show.
That's what we are going to go to.
We are going to start with music news tonight.
Last week.
We kind of do have a little bit of a correction.
We talked about something last week.
Cody was wishing a happy 50th birthday to Vince Neal.
And I said something about Vince spending his birthday in jail.
That was started today.
That was started today.
15 day jail sentence for a DUI.
So I stayed corrected on that.
Really if you think about it.
15 days is nothing.
That's a walk in the park for Vince Neal.
Even when he's there.
There's rich people rules.
And there's normal people rules when it comes those type of things.
Always.
And there's slightly crew rules.
They've got their own sets.
I wonder if that movie is ever going to get done.
That dirt.
I mean, yeah, there's just been a bunch of stuff that has always been.
What do you call it?
And rumored and stuff like that.
And never happened.
Someday maybe.
We're playing a little bit of radio ahead right now because their new album is going to be released on Saturday.
If you want to get it on the internet.
Album is called the King of Limbs.
I don't know what that means.
But then it gets radio ahead.
So maybe we're not supposed to know.
But if you're a fan of.
If you're a fan of radio ahead.
Wake up on Saturday morning.
Download the new album.
We're here to break these things.
Because that's what we do.
And really that's the only music headline we've got this week.
A couple of new releases today.
On your local music store shelves.
If you will.
Darling love.
With the sound of love.
The very best of Phil Spector.
Not a lot of people of our generation.
Understand.
That Darling love how to music career.
People of my generation.
And probably of Cody's as well.
Know her as Mrs. Roger Mertau in the lethal weapon film.
Yes.
But she had a very, very, very big recording career in the 60s.
So she got that also a new album.
From a guy who man is trying to get back to that place.
Trying to get back to that place.
Is a guy by the name of Genuine.
He has a brand new album.
This is called Elgin.
The Pony 2.
Pony is good.
One of Timberman's early works.
Also did a great cover.
I believe it was of Windubbs Cry.
Oh, one of his albums.
Sure.
Okay.
We're going to talk about right now.
Sunday night.
Because we have to.
So what we do on the show.
In case you've been living in another solar system.
Man, I can't.
I'm having to have it.
The Grammys were Sunday night.
A lot happened.
We're going to give you some highlights and low lights of the ceremony.
The first person to come out of the Grammys.
Was LL Cool J.
As they got ready to do the.
The Aretha Franklin tribute.
And I was shocked when they said that the dude's been in the business.
What 25 years now.
Somewhere in that neighborhood.
He's won two Grammys.
They haven't televised.
They haven't televised.
It seems like half the show is given away before we're on air.
They didn't do that at all this year.
Wow.
They did not want Grammy tonight.
What show was this on.
But they didn't do the whole.
In ceremonies earlier tonight.
The following people won Grammys.
They didn't do that.
But he introduces the Aretha Franklin tribute.
I'm just going to give you a quick breakdown of who was in this thing.
Singing the song.
But you almost fell down.
Martina McBride.
Did you see Martina?
Yeah.
Brother still getting it done.
Well, it looked like she wanted to be somewhere else.
Did she seem like a thumb at a finger party?
She did.
Three people did.
But she was classy.
I thought the whole ensemble outside of
a Tonga girl.
Well, I'm about to get to her, Jennifer Hudson.
Yeah. She overrated.
I don't know, but she could sing.
To me, though, it looked like if she wasn't singing the lead part.
She could have been anywhere else in the world.
But where she was.
And that kind of to me was a little disrespectful.
Yeah, same thing.
It's an ensemble treat it that way.
Same thing with the chick from Florence in the machine.
Was involved with this.
She kind of surprised me.
Because...
This, they're a new band.
They were featured on the VMAs last year.
Um...
I just...
I don't know. She kind of...
She surprised me because she sang it.
Didn't think she had that kind of soul in her.
Barbar good to see you as well.
Hello.
You'll learn the atoms.
Did you know who this was?
Were you aware of her?
She hadn't done anything in so long.
I'll be honest with you when I saw her.
She is a very, very big name in the world of gospel music.
Yes, I knew that.
I'm saying for those of all this stuff.
I thought you don't know.
I'm not assuming.
I know you know a couple of things about a couple of things.
I'm more of a Randy Watson fan when it comes to gospel.
Um...
But you know what?
You'll learn the atoms always great though.
Yes. Same line.
You're in style and grace to the ensemble.
After that, you had your first big Grammy of the night
version of Hazel's sister.
I didn't know there was a live version.
That was different from the other version.
I was very confused by that.
But great. You know what?
I like them.
You know what killed them I think early on.
They got so overplayed.
Yeah. I would love what Pat Moynihan said though.
Thank you Justin Bieber for not being a duo or group.
Oh yeah.
That was really blessed that I would go on.
Would not prove to be any of a threat really.
Yeah.
But I didn't understand the whole fandom of the opera bit in the middle.
She gets on a Morgan and plays.
And then she goes right back in the song.
She had the prosthetic spikes in her bit still working.
It ain't dead yet.
But can she just...
Just normal and sing?
Because she did sing and I'll give her that.
But it's very weird.
Also you had one that you and I talked about last night.
Miranda Lambert and performing at the house that built me.
Let me take something brother.
That is a voice.
Ready to hear her...
Ready to hear her do another song.
After that you had muse performing uprising.
Best performance of the night.
You said that to me on the phone last night.
You said that that was your favorite performance at the evening.
And then they would go on to win one a little bit later.
Then you had the B.O.B Bruno Barr's Janelle Monae thing.
All Janelle Monae did was scream.
Yeah it was not a fan of her performance.
I was just...
It kind of finished and I kind of went well.
That happened.
You know.
Yeah it was what it was.
Bruno Mars the kids kind of bring in that Sinatra vibe back.
B.O.B I thought was really out of his element.
Yeah.
It was kind of weird for me.
Then we had the female country vocal Grammy
went to Miranda Lambert for the house that built me.
I know you were very happy with it.
Very deserving.
I don't know if it's a good song.
I'm not going to say it's the great but it's a good song.
It's a decent song.
Actually written for Blake Shelton first.
Her fiance.
Her introducing her was kind of wheels off.
I didn't think so.
Then you had the Bieber Usher Jaden Smith debacle of never saying never.
Ninjas?
I thought Mortal Kombat was going to break out.
It was Bieber going to be Johnny Cage.
Did I miss something here?
And the wheels off part of it was Will Smith.
That's my baby.
And we have to fix the camera on Will Smith the whole performance.
And even Usher sounded off.
Like there was just something off about that entire bit.
Right after that we give rock album of the year.
The guys you're hearing right now muse for the resistance.
Great.
The power trio seems to be the new thing.
Most guys did very well.
Then pop vocal album went to Lady Gaga for the fame monster.
So congratulations.
Very deserving.
A lot of first time Grammy winners this year.
Then we had this thing with the Mumford Brothers, Avid and Sons and Bob Dylan.
What'd you have on this?
I'll tell you what.
That was appalling.
And I'll tell you what.
That performance for Bob Dylan to even claim that as singing is absolutely appalling.
Why do we have to keep growing him out?
Yes.
Quit putting a live mic on him.
That is done.
Drugs and alcohol and cigarettes has butchered his voice in mind.
He's done.
Just putting him on live television.
Put National Skyline in the CD player and just let it roll.
And then I'm good.
Exactly.
Absolutely.
He remembered the Oscars.
He had the little John Waters mustache.
He was performing from Australia because he wasn't there.
Very strange.
But I'll tell you what.
When the Mumford Brothers were performing.
I got a text from Brandon that said.
When did Tim Tebow start singing?
Yeah.
I said he just learned that day because he's Tim Tebow.
But I liked the other two groups.
It's good to see non-manufactured music being played.
I was kind of disappointed how they just kind of blew through the live time achievement awards.
Yeah.
Here's the only part.
Here's the only part.
You know what?
You really don't have the time to really honor every single person.
Yeah, but you're going to take somebody else
who absolutely is kryptonite to Superman with me.
And you're going to give her not only a whole song to sing,
but then let her give away the last Grammy of the night which we'll talk about later.
Which annoys a legend.
But you're not going to let Dolly Parton have an appearance.
Are you kidding me?
He's outlaws.
And Clay Matthews.
This guy's everywhere.
You know, I've never seen things like that.
If it was a starting quarterback,
I wouldn't be surprised.
But he's an outside linebacker getting this type of play.
You know what?
Congratulations.
Hey, whatever. Do your thing.
Did I miss something?
Lady Antebellum.
Dominated.
Performed it.
I can tell a part of if you don't know.
That was kind of weird.
Because they introduced it as...
People we've lost it.
I'd share it with you to Teddy Pendergrass.
I'm like, when did Teddy Pendergrass do if you don't know me by now?
And since when did he record American Honey or Ninja now?
I was very confused.
I thought that song was two years old.
It's getting to be close though.
When did that album release?
Take it off the ballot.
You're getting back into last week.
Let's bring it back.
Then Lady Antebellum once for country album of the year for Ninja now.
The lead girl.
The hair thing through me.
Jen said it was darker in the back.
I don't know.
She's very pretty.
She had her Grammy hair on.
As did her grandmother's hair?
No.
When it comes to the Grammy people.
Then we go to
Sealo Green,
Gwyneth Paltrow,
and those were Muppets.
I'll tell you this is funny.
You win so they'd have to say the song,
otherwise known as Forget You.
Just wanted to hear that path that put on the Grammy.
Great performance.
I was waiting for Dr.
Sealo Green was this close to being Dr.
Teeth from the Electric Mayhem in Zoot.
We couldn't roll them out.
Roll off in Zoot in the Electric Mayhem.
I did like the backup singers.
That was funny.
Great idea. Something different.
Visually looks good.
A lot of people thought
Gwyneth was bad.
I thought she was there.
She had to be.
Then Katy Perry comes out
and memo to all the pop princesses out there.
You it's okay to sing.
Yeah.
Katy Perry did it.
And did it very well if I may add.
Then Song of the Year,
which goes to the songwriters.
Now a lot of people are confused because you have
Song of the Year,
you have Record of the Year,
you have album of the Year.
Only goes to the songwriters.
Which, Lady Annabelle,
is now as they continue their march to Atlanta.
Apparently.
Then you had the M&M Rianna,
Dr. Dre Adam Levine.
Didn't understand what he was there playing piano.
But I'll take it.
And Skyler Gray.
If that performance told me anything.
It's Dre.
Get detox in the stores and do it now.
I'm not a fan of the of Kush.
But somebody call me a doctor.
That was a cool song.
And I'm not a big M&M fan.
I enjoyed that performance very much.
Thank you Rianna for not only singing on Key,
but singing the right song.
The last time she performed out of the VMAs,
it was an absolute debacle.
Then Best New Artist.
Goes to the Powerhouse.
Notice Esperanza Spalding.
Good. It went in Bieber.
I was actually pulling for it.
Because there's a curse that goes with Best New Artist.
I thought it was going to be him or Drake.
I've never even heard of this girl.
Was this a political move?
Then we have Mick Jagger coming out.
Everybody needs somebody.
Great performance.
Mick Jagger can do it every once.
As far as I'm concerned.
Then we come to the Barbara Streisand section.
And if you know anything about me,
you know I am not a fan of this woman.
Somebody is because she's...
Isn't she supposed to be in Camada?
Yeah, that's what I was her and...
Where are you all still doing here?
Lowered it.
Then you get Best Wrap Album.
Goes to Eminem for Recovery.
No shocker there.
Was hoping it would have been the Blueprint 3,
but that's just me.
Rianna and Drake.
What's my name?
Also not a bad tune.
Quite enjoyed that performance.
What's a Lady Annabelle?
For Need You Now?
Then Arcade Fire.
Performs a book ending their Best Album of the Year, Grammy.
Well, that was an upset because I don't know if anybody knew who that was.
Well, I knew who they were because they'd been on SNL.
And if you remember the very first trailer for where the wild things are.
They were the band that played the song in that trailer.
That's the only things I'd ever known of them from.
But congratulations to them.
I didn't get the bit about the two guys and the BMX bikes with the camera strap to their heads.
Didn't quite understand that.
But everybody's got to have a bit, I guess.
Well, Target was involved in this.
Wow, but I like those commercials.
Those commercials were kind of man.
It was just Target, Target, Target.
Highest ratings for the Grammys in 10 years.
But I think a lot of that contributes to.
Doesn't? Don't the Grammys normally end up competing with either the NHL,
also getting the NBA, also getting the Pro Bowl?
Yeah, had it to itself.
So congratulations to the Grammys for the best ratings in 10 years.
And I can do without the president coming, the president of the Academy coming out
and talking about how.
Loot legging skill.
Yeah.
Oh, so sick of that.
Every year.
What's your little NASCAR talk, sir, shall we?
We shall.
Because it big, big race this weekend.
This is going to be a big weekend in general.
Well, it's not only a big weekend because it is the Daytona 500.
You've also got 10 years since the death of Del Earnhardt Senior.
Yep.
And there's a lot of people right now.
I don't know if you saw this story today.
A lot of people are screaming conspiracy right now.
Well, let me tell you.
We'll go.
Okay.
We'll go with the.
The latter.
You know, I don't know.
I think Junior has to shut up and win races this year.
I'll be honest with you.
What did I tell you all this last season?
I don't know a lot about NASCAR.
But when you change everything and you're still not winning, there's only one person left.
You do have Del Earnhardt Junior did earn the Daytona 500 poll.
The Gatorade 125 doles are coming up this.
I believe it.
Now explain for those of us that don't know.
Explain what they'll do is they'll take.
Junior will have a heat.
This was formally known as the Budweiser shoe.
No, that was Saturday night.
Oh, okay.
That's just a money race.
Okay.
But the Gatorade 125 250 dole excuse me.
Junior will have a heat of cars he's with.
And Jeff Gordon will have a heat of cars he's with.
And they'll race to get better positioning.
But Junior will have the poll regardless.
He won the poll.
So are he in Gordon 1-2 right now?
Yes.
So that's why they're team.
So they're both competing to see who gets the inside.
Exactly.
Exactly. That's right.
Okay.
It's a fun.
It's a speed weeks at Daytona.
A lot of fun.
Is this on your bucket list?
I'd love to do that once.
I've actually, I'm more of a bigger fan of Talladega.
I believe a super speed way.
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
They're trying to make it.
They don't want them three wide at Daytona.
But that's what they're going to.
Yes.
Isn't it?
Well, but they put new pavement down.
A whole lot smoother pavement.
This is going to be a fun race because I think you're really going to see how do these certain cars they took off the front spoiler.
Okay.
So it's going to be something they're trying to somehow get that car to grab the track more.
That's the, that is the, the thought.
And this is the debut of the new point system.
Now, explain to, explain to those of us like me that I've got an idea of how the point system should go.
But how does this sound like?
It sounds like what they want to do.
And I know there's some NASCAR fans in the room that they can even give me more insight if they know more than I.
It sounds like what they want to do is you get so many points for winning a race.
And you get so many points for where you place instead of it being a number of laps too late.
You're still going to get the bonus points from Furfirm leading the lap.
But I think winning a race is going to carry more weight becoming champion than it did.
As well as it should be.
I mean, I mean, I've been in the chat room.
I'm not going to say names here.
Matt Kinzith won the championship without even winning a race.
See, that's to me as well.
43 points for first place.
So yeah.
Ben.
I just, to me, here's how you do it.
You win the race one point, second place, two points, third place, three points, and so on and so forth.
All rules, lowest score at the end, you win.
Yes.
Also, can't be in both chases.
That is true.
Pick one or the other.
I'm good with that.
Yeah, I'm tired of Kyle Busch winning the win.
No, you're not a fan of either of the boys.
I'm not a fan either of them.
The brother, I'm more of a fan of the brother than the little brother.
Okay.
Nationwide series, you know, Carl Edwards was racing both series.
But let me tell you something.
If they tell, the Winston, the sprint cut won't think that.
If they, memories, rest in peace, too.
Yeah, if you can't have the sprint cut guys in the Nationwide series that some of these bigger tracks, that'll die.
You've got to have Junior Daytona.
You've got to have Tony start racing in the Daytona Bush race.
There's just not that...
Nationwide.
Yeah.
There's not that star power in the Nationwide series right now.
But, and then...
But isn't the Nationwide series more meant for the up-and-comer?
That's right.
But sometimes you'll have a guy in there like a junior or Tony that own a different team trying to help their sponsors out.
So it's a given take.
And then this news coming out that executives want to shorten the races.
Now, I'm on board with that.
See, that surprises me because I am not really a NASCAR guy.
I never have it.
I don't profess to be.
My NASCAR knowledge, I defer to you.
But, aren't you kind of toying with tradition here?
You are.
You're trying to make the Daytona 500 to Daytona 200?
Well, no, no.
I don't know if they'll shorten the races.
What I think is...
No, that's what they're talking about.
There's just too many...
There's...
They're throwing the cautions now for almost anything.
It's just that somehow races have seemed to gotten a lot longer.
I think it's the cars.
Number one, I think sometimes the cars are completely out of control.
The wrecks, especially these big super speedways like Daytona,
Taladega, Daytona back to the beach.
Yeah, and then a weird shape like the triangle track at Polkano.
Just different race tracks cause a lot of different problems for different races.
Now, let me ask you this because again, I don't profess to know a lot about NASCAR,
but I want to defer to you on this.
Road courses.
I don't hear a lot of bad things that come out of road courses.
No, the thing about the road courses is, let's be honest,
a stock car is not designed to do that.
So they do put special tires and special chassis on them.
And then you also bring in the ringer drivers.
Robbie Gordon was a guy that raced a lot of road courses and that was it.
He couldn't race oval.
The buddy, if it was doing the snake and all that, he could do that.
So I like the road course.
Some people do, you know, Sears Point is one of the big ones there.
But those aren't point races though, right?
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
There's a rumor that they want not to make them point racing.
Oh, that's what it is.
That's what I had written.
So that way your fans can get to see some, you know, Hermi Sadler,
TNA.
A guy that's very, very popular in TNA.
Yeah.
He's a guy that did a lot of road courses as well.
Boris Sad is another guy.
But honoring Dale Earnhardt Senior this weekend at Daytona.
Silence on lap three.
And everybody's supposed to hold three fingers in the air.
Just like they did the whole year after he died, the year after that.
Um, I'm going to tell you what, man.
He was a superstar.
I don't know if anybody knows a whole lot of people I don't know a whole lot of about him.
There's just not a lot of bona fide superstars in a sport.
I put him on the record with Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth.
All right.
I want to do the race then.
Brett Ski.
I'll put him on that level.
He was a certified superstar in that, that genre.
Was, would you consider him the first NASCAR superstar?
Oh, no.
Richard Petty.
I was going to say, because Richard Petty was one I always think of.
I think of old-scale NASCAR.
Oh, no.
Richard Petty.
And then you might want to get into, uh, Tobabi Allison as well.
Yeah.
I remember that superstar.
Yeah.
But, um, but, um, Dale, to me, Dale Senior was kind of that more of the universal guy.
Like, almost, like, it was Petty in him.
Yeah.
Because, Petty, you always reheated the STP commercials.
He was a Stone Temple pilot.
It's an oil brand.
Uh, but Dale Earnhardt Senior was the first guy that you really saw in this kind of era of NASCAR.
That was just mass marketing.
Yeah.
And he was everywhere.
And then you also bring in the black car, the black glasses, the intimidator.
And yes, he pioneered absolutely great point, Barbara.
I believe they have just now, finally, within the last three years quit selling his merchandise.
At NASCAR events, I believe his merchandise hauler is no longer at the track.
He was still selling merchandise and it's been dead three or four, five, six years.
So his wife, he was also the first driver to copyright his signature.
Really?
So everything on some David's star.
Let us shoot the wheels on.
Oh, that's what that does.
Wow.
Anyway.
But, um, yeah.
So, on our little, uh, little, little Dale Jr. here, I mean, Dale Senior.
Dale Jr. has got the pole.
I know that he seems to be under the influence that just because he thinks the fans might have got a little excited
because they haven't earned hard on the pole.
I don't know.
So, good luck to him.
And I'm interested to see on the duels where we go from here.
And then, of course, the race itself.
I personally will make a prediction.
I like Kevin Harvick this year.
The whole year.
I'm not saying just for the next day.
I hear Kevin Harvick.
I was in his rookie year Sonic with his sponsor.
No, they were.
They were.
They were a little sponsor.
He's the one that jumped in the car and raced for Dale Jr.
That, I mean, Dale Senior after he died.
Never did it right.
Never wanted race to three, which I respect that.
But he wears that Budweiser now, doesn't he?
That's Casey Kane.
That's Casey Kane.
Uh, Harvick was at the Super Bowl wearing a Budweiser.
He might have got the sponsor shift then.
I don't know.
Okay.
Last year he was a full body shell sponsor,
which is not what you saw a whole lot of.
Okay.
Let's move on to a little impact talk.
We're going to be doing more tax car talk because the season is firing up.
Cody, that is his bread and butter.
To answer that question, yes, Jr.
has a new crew chief.
Lattery is.
Jr. has got the best car, the best team, when the best crew chiefs.
It's up to him now.
He has to win races.
And thanks for that.
Uh, Kevin Harvick, new Budweiser.
Yep.
Budweiser will never do have the success it had merchandising.
Why would I be able to do some nice cars?
Since they'll, Jr. didn't have the eight.
That thing was everywhere.
Mm-hmm.
So.
For those who...
As we move into TNA impact.
Hogan returns this week to impact as does Flair.
Red that last night.
He was on this week's tapings.
Also a former knockout.
Returns to impact this week.
I don't know who it is because I didn't want spoilers.
So we'll talk about it next week.
Let me ask you a couple things about impact this last week.
Did you catch any of it?
Some of it.
Is this anybody oversell more than Mike TNA?
Anybody in the business?
I'm going to give you the field right now.
Does anybody oversell worse than Mike TNA?
Maybe the...
Maybe Cole when it comes to Miz, maybe.
Yeah.
We go into...
I'm going to tell you something.
Who really showed me a guy that I like a lot.
But a guy that really kind of took it to a different level for me this week was one Robert Green.
Like him.
This guy can do intense.
You know.
And he slapped that and Jarrett.
How many people have revert what they call reversing the whip on Jarrett?
In.
Like the guy.
Would like to seem...
Get a swim in a major...
Federation.
But in hint.
But whatever.
Only if he's with a taxi partner.
Yeah.
I think that...
I think the days of taking tag teams of the package deal in this business is over.
Well, if the brisk goes in, get the WWE thing done.
That's true.
You know.
Hernandez also returned this past week.
But now he's a hired gun for Immortal.
And apparently he cut a promo during the pay-per-view about how he's rebelling against White America.
Okay. Well, I'm out on that.
I just...
Yeah.
Why do we have to turn Hernandez heel?
Well, why do you have to make it a race thing?
Why can't he go?
You know what?
I don't like you, Anderson.
I'm heel.
Or Morgan.
I don't like you.
Yeah.
Why do we have to go White America?
Why do you have...
Hey, Eric.
You can't walk the line-lot Vince.
One thing Vince never depped into a whole lot was race.
Nation of domination?
As far as...
Worst Bereque was?
We're against Blacks.
We're against White.
Oh, okay.
I was gonna say that.
No, I'm saying they never can.
We hate whites.
Come on.
Yeah, this...
That was not good for me.
I did not enjoy that.
Yeah, that was weird much.
Uh...
CMT artist Sarah Darwin.
Does this mean anything to you?
Never heard of Ramallah.
She had a brand new video debut over the weekend.
AJ Styles isn't it?
Heard that.
But Sarah has called something to do with your hands.
It's very...
Very cheesy.
More than life.
It's new country music coming out of Nashville.
I believe it's very cheesy.
Hey, why I have a good show, brother.
Sit down the road, man.
Absolutely.
Give me a call later on this week, brother.
Now we're gonna talk about this thing.
This Jared's one big happy family.
Has this thing gone too far?
Yes.
Anytime you bring kids and wives and ex-wives into angles, it's done.
Because I don't know if you knew about the stipulations in their match this past Sunday.
You told me of such.
If Anglehead won, he gets full custody of their two kids.
If Jared wins, Angle has to give Karen away at the Val Renuel on March 3rd.
Have we got him?
Has the...
Are we...
Bishoff or Dixie?
Are we already grasping at straws?
This is just bad.
This...
I said this.
You didn't write down what I'm gonna say.
This is the worst wrestling in entertainment, promo package, whole nine that I've seen since
the last 10, 10 days to three months of the old WCW.
This show is horrible.
You said that to me on Friday.
And I'm not gonna argue with you.
This was a horrible episode.
We bring in Serita's cousin Rosita and I don't care.
Yeah.
Don't care.
But something I was thinking about in this, it was an eight knockout tag match.
How is it that TNA can have the corner on the women's division?
We've said this on the show a million times.
They own the women's division.
But with a belt that's almost a non-factor.
I had forgotten that Madison Ring still had this belt until I saw her wearing it.
It just...
It amazes me.
It's...
It's like the old saying lately that TNA could screw up something that we can't talk about on this show.
It was very, very odd for me that they've got such a strong women's division.
And even that seems to be dying on the vine.
We'll see.
I just...
I think the whole entire promotion is in my opinion dead on the vine.
And it's something you said to me this weekend too.
Mickey James has been here for how long and she still doesn't have the belt.
Now let's get to this...
Let's get to this main event.
Well, this wasn't the main event, Ser.
This world heavyweight title match was at the end of hour one.
This was not your main event.
To me, it's where I kind of went.
This was Morgan versus Anderson for the title.
Whoever wants to match faces Jeff at against all odds which happened 48 hours ago.
How is this not your main event?
How is this at the end of hour one?
It's called...
Which we had a sounder.
It's called booking on the fly.
Let's do this one.
And go.
Looking on the fly.
There we go.
I just...
I was like really, so there's another hour after this match.
Yes.
Jeff comes out in a self-painted ladder and sits on it the whole time.
You know, there were...
If you watch this, there were so many bad spots in this match.
Oh, it was a terrible...
It just...
Morgan and Anderson is a mismatch.
Well, one thing about it is...
I've always said this and I know there's people that don't think it's right or it's wrong.
Let me tell you.
Ken Anderson, and I'm not talking about Cincinnati Bangles fame.
I'm talking Ken Anderson, Anderson, is not a world champion.
Intercontinental United States, X Division maybe, a TV title maybe.
He's not a world champion.
You don't think he's good enough to be champion in that company?
I could pick four other guys better.
But in comparison to what's going on with the other side of the fence.
That's true.
Okay, I'll go there with you.
You know, I mean...
At the end of the thing, Rob Van Dam shows up.
Bye.
Goodness.
This guy's lost a step or two or nine.
Love you.
Love you.
I could watch you from 1995 till 2008.
Maybe.
Seven.
You were the best in the business.
I'll watch you.

title. So Sunday afternoon we find out Cazarian is going to defend the X title
that night he defends against Robbie E. and wins. Good. So I think we're going to
redo this thing probably next week or something of that nature. And Jeff wins
the beltback. Yes, clean. Well, because he's got a continuance. It shocked
me that he won it clean. But you always knew if they didn't give Anderson,
if he kept the modigraw mask belt, it was going to go back to Jeff eventually.
You knew there. You knew that. So and that's pretty much going to do it for
TMA talk. I mean, I wish I could give you more, but there's I can't I literally
can't. I mean, uh, this is bad bad deal. Yeah, but hey, some
things on the shelf, if it just seemed like it had direction, it's almost like a car
going down the highway at a hundred miles an hour with no power steering. It just
doesn't know. It just skids back and forth. One minute you go right direction. No,
we're going over here again. And then we're going to it has no direction. Similar
of the last year of WCW very similar. You you also equated this to the last six
months of ECW. Yeah, it just looks like it's like, okay, let's all get paychat. And not
the WWE version of the original version. Let's all get paychat. Well, they didn't. Yeah,
let's all get paid. And then hopefully Vince will hire some of y'all. If not, you
can go the independence. Get the wheels back on that thing. That's the five over
here to not, baby. I have no church up in here. Thank you for joining us. Remember
you are on the clubhouse with Robin Cody. We're here live each and every Tuesday
night, eight on the east coast, five on the west coast. Also remember, you can
follow us on Twitter. I am yes. That Rob Irvin, ERV. I am. I am Cody, PS Hawk.
Also, you can follow us on Facebook at the clubhouse podcast. We were going to save
one of these announcements some redder, but Cody's ready to do this now. I could not
be more excited about this announcement. This literally has happened within the last
36 hours. Yeah, exactly. Do you like stuff? Do you like stuff that has cool
designs on it? Do you like stuff that has cool designs on it that you could wear in
public? Let me tell you something. Go to our website W dot not right now unless you
can work to win us because don't leave the show. www dot the clubhouse with robincody.com
underneath my blog link. There is a brand new link that says merchandise. Click that
link. It's going to take you to the brand new just open on Monday, merchandise store
and I store for the clubhouse of the robincody. There are over 70 different items
that you can buy with our logo on it. It's got our logo. It says if you'd listen,
you'd know. And on the back it gives the website hats, shirts, mugs, pet bowls for
your, you put your pet food in, calendars, stickers, whatever. Men's, women's,
everything, everything. You want to put a clock on the wall. We got wall
clings. We got bumper stickers. We are, we have in fans of this show since
day when we've officially sold out. That's right. We've sold out sold out rings
everywhere we go. Yeah. Everywhere we go. And I'm going to make an offer right
now. And you know, I haven't had a chance to talk about this right now for
probably maybe the next two or three weeks. Anything you buy on our merchandise
store is at cost. Yes. The same price that Cody and I would pay for our own
merchandise. You're paying right now. But this is a limited time offer. Yes.
Because at some point we got to start making more money. Absolutely. But if you go
within the next couple of weeks, I mean, I'm on here right now, folks. Tell
about it. Coffee mugs, travel mugs, mouse pads. If you've got an iPhone and
iPad, anything, rapid covers, got ball caps, got a messenger bag, a little
satchel, fit a laptop in it. I mean, this thing, we've got all kinds of stuff.
Real simple, light rob said, www dot the clubhouse with robincoady.com. Click
the merchandise link right there. Hoodies, you name it. Bar wire is already ordered
to shirt. It's going to be here next week. They told him it would be delivered
sometime between next Monday and next Wednesday. So real short shipping. Hey,
just have fun with it. Do what you want to. But those are available and are out
there. Dad wants to sell some of the stuff at first Monday. I'm good with that.
Out there in the great city of camp. I'm okay with that. We're alive from the
Arbor of the million. That would be awesome. But you know, go there. We want to
thank Cafe Press. They are the official sponsor of our store. Yes. Thank you.
And we're going to be doing. You're going to welcome there and you're going to say,
well, a lot of it just has the logo on it. We're going to be doing different things
as time progresses. We're going to do limited edition stuff for certain
things that we're going to do. I'm very excited. Cody, I called Cody.
And I thought he was going to lose his cool one. I'll tell you what, in the coolest
thing to me right now is the baseball jersey. Well, yeah, it's the old style.
I've got the website on it. And people will go, well, I don't know.
Because you don't listen. Yes. But how do I listen? You turn around. You show them the
website back. Please check that out. Be very, very, very appreciated. Check it out.
There's also other items that I wish we could sell them. I'm not quite sure if we can or not.
But that says 9 a.m. till 3 a.m. Okay. Let's talk a little college basketball here.
I called you last night. People are going, you called Cody on Valentine's Day.
You did it Saturday. You did it Saturday. My wife and I were at dinner.
She had excused herself to go to the restroom. We were at a local barbecue joint
that you'll probably see barbed wire at here in a couple of hours.
They were showing Kansas, Kansas state. And I texted you and I said, Kansas is getting
manhandled. Man, this is a sport. We all thought football and it proved to be
NCAA football this year was completely wide open. A lot of your powers were down.
Who would have really thought you would have had that you would have had Auburn
and Oregon playing for the national title. And we said that all season. This year,
college football is wide open. Yes. Little did we know that we weren't even
going to be in the ballpark of what wide open was until this point in the college basketball season.
Well, you know, think about it is, Kansas, I believe and I'm going to go ahead and
I'm going to get the crystal ball out here. All right. Because I really, I pay attention
to this once conference tournament starts in like 98% of the country.
Yep, which we're coming up on about three months.
Pay attention to this until the tournament. It's just the way it is.
The Texas be the big. This is it. I believe right now. The thing about Texas is I've
seen this show before with Kevin with Kevin Durant. And they win it all.
Yes. They're sweet 16. They're out. That's just that's Texas basketball.
Once they get involved with tournament tested teams, they don't produce,
but their defense is mad. I'll give him that. Their defense is massive.
And for those of you that are wondering, we didn't cover this. I don't think we covered
this at all last week. If you are somebody that buys that March madness package
that this every year, you don't have to this year because it's not going to be
available every game between TBS TNT CBS CBS CBS college and true TV of all places.
Every game of the tournament will be available to you at no extra cost.
So if you're wanting to watch the the the Manson true TV Manson marathon or something
about Jeffrey Dahmer, you're going to be on. You may think you're getting Manson,
but you're getting George Mason. Yes. See, just right off the cuff, baby.
Not before I kill again, but I'll tell you this. There will be there will I think
there will be two one seeds in the big 12. I believe Candice and Texas are both one
seeds. But that always always doesn't tell the story. That's always dicey. What happened?
One year we had the final four of all one seed. That was two years ago.
Yes. Yeah. All one seed. So I believe Texas is the I think Texas will not get
more respect nationally because they're their football school. And I think it's tough
for some of these teams like a Texas. Let's say let's say all of a sudden pick one.
Alabama had a great basketball team. They're just not one of those guys.
But by the same token, the the schools you're supposed to hear from,
unless your name is Duke or North Carolina, where's Kentucky right now?
They're always in the conversation. Yes. I don't know.
I don't know. I don't know. Word. But it's going to I think Indiana. Where are they?
I've always been a bigger fan of a of a March madness tournament. That's wide open.
It makes office pulls better. It makes love. I love the tournament.
The only problem is they started on the Thursday. Yes. We do that on a Friday.
We do, but I remember one year. It's too much. You can't I can't play that kind of
hookie from work. That's right. I wish I could because I love the tournament.
Exactly. I love watching the tournament. But you know, the question that you post,
you know, first two two number ones go down within 48 hours of each other.
Is this is college basketball in decline? Or is it just beginning more competitive?
I think it's a little both. I think any any team that has a couple of
powers in it. Let's be honest, NCAA has a few powers. They've always had the
mystery guest at the tournament. Last year, I eat Butler.
And George. Well, there's different little teams that do that.
Exactly. Exactly. But now you know, I was expected to go because they started
going on those runs. Yes. I just I'm a person that I just like I say,
I just think there's a handful of teams that can win it. And this year,
like college football, I just think it's a wide open tournament this year.
You know, I just the big 12 to me in basketball right now is a two team team.
The SEC West is horrible basketball. Yeah.
There's just not that team that should go. That's the best. Well,
especially, especially a team that's always good every year,
but their coach is having some problems right now. Tennessee. Yes.
And I'm going to take this right now. Once Duke gets healthy, they're the best team in the
country. Don't be shocked if Duke doesn't repeat. Duke are the Yankees.
Yes. Get to the tournament. Once they get to the tournament,
all bets are off, sir. I didn't think they'd win it last year,
but they did. And one of the best finals games I've ever watched.
So he will revisit this a little bit more when it gets closer to tournament.
Little bracketology coming up here probably three or four weeks.
Yes, but I love again, I can't say enough. I think maybe 67 might be too many,
but 68 I think they're up to this year. Yes. But I still love the tournament
because you've always you've got a lot of buzzer beaters that happen,
a lot of crazy games, a lot of I don't understand how people bet on those games.
No, because you have to lose your shirt. I mean, if anybody that picked Butler
to get into the final game, Duke, you know, that's probably the same thing.
But Butler, there's no way. No way, man. Sorry. You're not that.
You're not Jimmy the Greek. Let's hope that on a lot of levels.
You're not Jimmy the Greek. Remember, you are listening to the clubhouse
with Rob and Cody. We appreciate you guys being here each and every week.
We're going to make, you know, a lot of people have said to me, Rob,
I would love to listen to the show, but I don't have two hours to sit in front of my computer.
Go to archive. You can go to the art, but I'm talking about even in the archive.
You gotta sit in front of your computer. That's true.
Do you want to get the show in your mobile device? I have a way.
You can get our show loaded into your iPod or into your iPhone.
We are not available on the iTunes directory yet, but there is a way that you can download
including tonight's show, which will be up tomorrow.
The last five shows can be available to you.
We'll talk about it later in the show because it's kind of a complicated process.
But it's real easy to do. I've been listening to the last four shows in my iPod for the last couple of days.
And it sounds great. And you can listen to wherever you go.
You get the gym, you're at the house, or whatever. That's cool.
Have you tried it yet? No, I've not. Have not. Okay.
Let's talk a little smackdown since we've got the Smackdown theme running.
Got a question for you.
Don't know where we're going with this guy.
How do I say it where I don't sound redundant?
Drew McIntyre, what are we doing?
Yes. You know, I don't know, man.
I mean, this guy was primed for a title run.
Yeah, all of a sudden he disappeared.
It's a push. It's a non-push. It's a push. It's a non-push.
It's a push. It's a non-push. I don't get it.
I never will.
Get it done. Yeah, get it done.
I wouldn't mind seeing Kelly Kelly turn heel and join him.
Well, right now she's, she's quote unquote fired.
I think they need it. He need to shot in the arm.
If he hasn't had one already, but anyone.
Oh, wow.
He emailed me. Cody is the clubhouse with robincoady.com.
That's Cody. I'm Rob.
Just so that we're clear on that.
I just want to make sure everybody understands the difference
in the dynamic here.
The core. Same question. Where are we going with this thing?
Well, you know, you know, there's not a leader.
There's not a leader. Let's be honest here.
Wade Barrett is the guy in the core.
And he's the one getting all the pushes.
That's just how this thing goes.
It's just very odd to me.
Yes. I don't understand it.
I thought maybe this would turn into a core versus new Nexus thing.
But now that's not going to happen.
Are we just going to beat up on Big Show every other week?
I am.
This just doesn't, I don't get this.
Well, we'll see.
Let it play out again.
Everybody looking on the fly.
Everybody's trying to get to WrestleMania.
So let's just see what happens after that.
I don't know if I can make it that one.
Now this next gentleman I'm in on.
Booker T, here's my thing.
I remember I missed back down two weeks ago
as having cable problems.
I watched it.
It's not that he doesn't need work to me.
My thing with Booker T is,
is he not talking loud enough?
Do we need to turn his microphone up?
It just sounds very strange to me.
It's always, it's kind of like,
I always do a podcast called Hollywood Babylon
with Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman
who works for a radio station in LA.
And he does this impersonation of Harrison Ford.
And this is an impersonation of modern day Harrison Ford.
I want to thank everybody for coming today.
It's just a great opportunity.
I mean, it's really, it's very classical.
That's what I hear when I hear Booker T.
Does he need to talk more?
Do they need to turn his mic up?
I was very confused.
Because I like what I heard.
But I didn't hear a lot.
Like, I can hear this better.
Kane.
Oh, man.
Why is he in the chamber?
To me, he's the, he's the art truth of that particular chamber.
He just doesn't fit.
Well, is it time really to maybe move on
when your, your big match on SmackDown is squashing JTG?
Yeah, you got to get rid of him.
Not get rid of him, but I think it's time to kill the bit.
But what do you can't repackage him?
No, absolutely not.
It's either continue on the same course
or you put him in the Hall of Fame and you call it a day.
I don't think there's any other recourse.
You couldn't, he couldn't even jump ship without the bit.
Huh.
Which is my opinion.
Take it from what you paying for.
Just saying.
Clay Matthew shows up again.
As he is the substitute referee in your world title match
and counts the three.
And now the rumor is, I don't want to ruin this for anybody,
but now it looks like we're going to hold up this belt.
Well, I wouldn't say that's spoiling anything.
Is that happened last night?
Well, we'll talk about that later, but good.
Get some hate around it.
I can't just...
But it just seems like for a roster that's so deep,
it's not.
No, but is it deep in the right kind of talent?
You know what, that could be it.
That could be the worry that we're looking for here.
I just, this is so bad.
They've got to go live.
Allegedly, they are still going live.
And again, this year, the spec down before WrestleMania will be live.
I hope it's not a, hey, we're here in fan access.
And here's a match.
And it's a match from Tuesday.
I just, I mean, I like the fan access thing.
I think it would be kind of neat to go.
But I don't need to see King and Cole
they are talking and hanging out.
Hey, look, there's Evan Bourne talking to people in the room.
I'm talking to people in the ring.
Yes.
I don't know.
Maybe I'll be a little picky.
And unfortunately, that's going to do it for Smackdown talk.
Very shallow wrestling pool this week.
At least until just a little while from now.
Yeah, business picked out last time about 10 o'clock.
And thank you for that very simple text that didn't give
anything away because I was a little bit behind.
Okay.
Get close.
What did I do?
I have it the wrong way.
Got some stuff here.
I've added really quick.
NBA.
Well, just a little bit of NBA in the office week.
One thing, if you have been listening,
if you'd listen, you would know.
That's right.
That's the flow of this shit.
We've been talking about little something called NBA contracting.
We have.
It has been mentioned.
And David Stern announced this afternoon.
Well, this is something I don't know.
This is new.
David Stern says he might be in favor of contracting
the New Orleans Hornets.
Well, doesn't the league own them now?
The league owns them.
They are looking for a buyer or the possibility of contracting
that team.
One thing that has to be determined is where do these players go?
Does Chris Paul go, is it a draft?
I think they put everybody's name in a hat.
And you just reach in and whatever team you pull out,
that's the team you're going to.
That's it.
Yeah.
I like that completely, but yeah.
So we've been talking about that now for a month.
And we're finally getting some things that what we do talk about
have some relevance because that's something I've been
wanting for a while.
And I could name Toronto and Memphis.
Get three.
Contract three of them.
Here's my thing.
Keep them for one more year.
Because you're going to walk out the year after anyway.
Oh, yeah. Absolutely.
And you can start over now.
Absolutely.
Also, another more news, NBA.
It's the only really thing going on.
Karan Butler, pain-free in the knee.
Good for him.
So we might see him back this year.
And then, well, while also return to,
is planning on returning to Dallas Maverick practice this week.
Latest on the Carmelo Anthony fronts.
Apparently, now the nicks are saying
that Denver wants too much.
I think they do.
They want too much.
And I'll be honest with you.
The nicks just don't have anything to get.
Yeah?
That's a very, very shallow roster.
And there's one superstar on their shirt.
They're not going to trade a Marley Staldemark.
They're right back where they were at.
Here's my thing.
If you don't want to be somewhere.
And somewhere don't want you to be there.
Why is this such a difficult task?
I don't understand that.
I don't know.
You know, it's the trade.
It's the basketball.
It's the trade.
It's everything.
I don't want to give up something without getting nothing.
Similar to what's going on with Michael Young
and the Texas Rangers right now.
We don't want him.
But yet, we're not going to pay 50% of his salary not on my team.
Ron Washington said today he wants him to stay.
Well, he can say what he wants to do.
That's a holder.
That's later.
You see this thing, Chad, just posted that NBA Jam.
You can get that on your iPhone.
I've seen it.
It looks amazing.
You see it.
NBA All-Star Weekend.
Shalaka.
Shalaka.
Coming up this...
I for some reason I thought it was this past weekend.
No, it's this weekend.
It's this coming weekend.
Going live to Los Angeles, California.
Outside of the dunk contest with hands down.
Blake Griffin, former Oklahoma sooner.
Will win.
New human highlight reel.
Yes.
Will win.
I'd love to see him get out of the clipper.
But Blake Griffin will win.
Mark it down.
The NBA slam dunk contest.
At the game's boring.
There's no defense at all.
I'm a DV artist just because I want to see what Blake Griffin does.
Yes.
Blake Griffin.
Glad to see you.
That's working out for that kid.
So.
standings.
Little standings.
See where we stand.
In the NBA.
I'm sitting.
You're sitting.
I'm going to sit.
I'm going to sit.
Okay.
Sure.
Well, I'm just paying rent.
Over.
We always start in the Eastern Conference.
Over in the Atlantic.
Division.
In the ACC.
ACC.
I'm sorry.
Not quite.
The Boston Celtics.
Now 12 up on those.
New York.
Nick.
Boston Celtics.
That.
My.
Miami.
He can't seem to beat.
The nicks are the nicks are in reverse.
They're.
That's a bad team.
That's just a bad team.
Need a shot in the arm.
Chicago 12 up on.
Indiana still.
And really only two games back from having the best record in the East.
So Chicago right there with Boston still don't think they can take.
Boston in the best of seven.
When are we expecting.
Joking.
No return this week.
Are they saying this week to week?
You know what?
That chemistry so well with that team right now.
He's only going to make them better.
Watch the bulls.
I'm not saying win the title, but just keep an eye on that team.
Down in the southeast of Miami Heat.
Now five up on.
Hot Atlanta.
The Hawks will not go away.
Also five up on Orlando.
So real quick.
Disclaimer to all Charlotte Bobcat fans.
Michael Jordan is not coming back.
Just because he's into the full court practice.
In P.A.s.
And I'm in bed for that not to happen.
Please don't bread far of yourself.
Michael Jordan.
Yes.
That's all I'm asking.
Oklahoma City.
Over in the northwest.
Four up on Portland.
Portland's now one sixteen games in a row.
Wow.
Portland does this every year.
Yeah.
Stinky.
They'll get that eight seed.
L.A.
Slap them around and that's it.
In speaking of L.A.
In the Pacific.
Now 10 up on the Suns.
Still want to play a very inspiring.
I'll tell you what.
Lost by 20 to the Bobcat Slaps.
They took a beating in Charlotte the other day.
But a lot of people were saying.
They do that every year.
But a lot of people were saying this is not a team.
They're going to face in the playoffs.
Yeah.
So why worry about it?
Yes.
And also speaking in the southwest.
Dallas now falls back to seven and a half behind San Antonio.
San Antonio 46 and nine.
I just don't know that San Antonio's got enough in them to go in a long time.
They're going to be a team that I need to see after the All Star Break.
46 and nine.
What they call the rodeo run.
Yes.
So the spurs are still around.
Boston.
I tell you what Boston looks good.
And you're right.
Miami just.
LeBron said it best.
We're not going to beat them at being a team.
You know why?
Boston's deep and they play together a long time.
Yeah.
So I'm glad LeBron's not slamming on the brakes and freaking out.
Because they're not.
It's going to.
I said year two.
If you listen to a show.
And I agree with you.
We've always said year two in Miami.
There's not going to be an over not success in Miami.
No.
So that's NBA.

Yeah, I'll do that in the morning.
Yes.
So that is how you do that.
We'll have all that up.
I guess it's a little complicated.
We'll have step by step instructions up for you tomorrow.
Let's talk a little movie.
Ah, yes.
One thing that broke late today that is not on your run sheet coding.
I'm going to say this for you real quick.
We have a release date.
Spider-Man.
The amazing spider-man has a title.
It is now called that.
It will release the day after my birthday next year July the third 2012.
So get ready for that.
America.
This thing's got a ton of people in it.
Martin Sheen.
A Sally Field.
Emma Stone.
Dennis Leary.
The kid that plays the rich kid in social network.
Yes.
So we're Hayes Gray and underway on that.
Finally.
We'll see.
Little anniversary.
Monday on Valentine's Day.
Which was a very strange day for this movie to be released.
Valentine's Day 1991.
I was a senior in high school.
And it was the release date of silence of the lambs.
We had it at my movie theater that I worked at in high school.
That's when they released that movie.
A year later, Valentine's Day would be the release of Wayne's World.
Don't dance.
Don't ask me how I did.
I just do.
We have a director for Die Hard Five.
His name is No Moreau.
I looked this cat up on IMDB.
He has done nothing.
Well, we'll see.
Why in the world are we still doing Die Hard?
Because Bruce Willis is running out of options.
That's why.
New releases in theaters this week.
We start with I am number four.
Well, I'll tell you.
Nine people in the world with abilities.
The first three are dead.
This kid is number four.
I don't know how much you've read.
This kid apparently is impossible to work with.
Well, there won't be an IM number five with him.
He is apparently very anti-social.
Doesn't really like to be around people.
He's working on another movie right now where people are saying the same thing.
It's like, dude, if you're going to be in a vehicle like this,
you've got to be approachable.
Exactly.
You want to have a career in show business?
You've got to be accessible.
Don't be a D-bag.
Just me.
Bum.
Bum.
Also this week, unknown.
Starring Liam Neeson?
Why is every movie he's in now take place in a foreign country?
Because he's foreign?
No, I'm just saying it's just it's like cars driving on the other side of the road.
Good sense.
I am done.
You know what this looks like?
This looks like an updated cheap knockoff of the fugitive.
Yeah, but with the fugitive,
everybody knew who he was.
This is called unknown.
It's where he's just it looks like.
I remember in Worseline.
I remember how to kill you out.
Right now, he's chasing, taken.
Yes.
Because taken, if you haven't seen taken, do yourself a solid here.
That movie was amazing.
If you're a fan of just the people, people.
Billy Bade in that deal.
Yes, he is.
It's like 10 minutes of setup.
And then an hour and a half.
So Liam Neeson just beaten people into the crowd.
I will be at the grand.
The grade is closed.
Oh, I was scheduled for an appearance for this next film at the grand.
I have a bunch of free clubhouse robbing Cody Swag that night.
So come see me at the grand.
Nobody got swag like us.
No.
Big Mama's like father like son releases this Friday.
There were so many questions from Big Mama 2.
Did you realize Big Mama 1's a decade old?
That was on TBS and I said that movie.
It came up 2000.
That movie the right time.
But you know it's worse.
You saw that.
He actually uses the phrase, whoop, there it is in this film.
The only good thing to come out of this is he was doing press today for this movie.
And says the script is underway and all the principles are.
Bad voice three.
Bad voice three.
That's the only good thing about this movie is that that came out today.
Now Michael Bayes in.
Will Smith is in.
He's in.
What else do you need to know?
This next film here, I've got some concerns.
Triple H.
Stars in the Shaperone.
There are eight theaters in the entire country.
But this is a carrying this move.
But this is a good thing for Vince.
Quit making these things world-wide.
The Attica releases because they're not.
They're going to make more money on DVD.
One theater in each of the following states.
Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois.
Twice as many as nothing else.
That's true.
Minnesota, New York, Ohio, and Texas.
You camped out for Nuckelhead, didn't you?
It's in my InstaQ.
I still haven't watched it.
But I do have it on the agenda.
The theater in Texas is in a small community called South Wake.
A lot of money, that look.
Which is what?
You'd say about an hour 15 here?
Yes.
No desire to see that.
Probably won't.
This may be an InstaQ.
We fire up one night.
And I'll watch 30 minutes of it and go,
I'm the Shaperone.
Shut up, all.
It'll only give this movie points if they fire up King of Kings in the middle of it.
Well, I'll give it points if he just gets into character halfway through.
And at the end goes,
Shaperone.
Yeah, credits.
And then you have your Shaperone coosie.
It starts coming down to the end.
Oh, that's Sean.
Not Hill.
Okay.
Lord.
Also this week, vanishing on 7th Street, this looks really creepy.
If you have HD net movies, you can watch this.
I believe either tonight or tomorrow night.
Chad's asking if that staff-like theater is where Nuckelhead was shown.
I can neither confirm or deny, but I believe he's right.
Huh.
DVD and Blu-ray new releases this week.
We begin with the Crispine Denzel Washington vehicle unstoppable.
I think they showed the best parts on the preview.
I just like when they made fun of it on SNL.
That made me laugh.
But I just, I have, I love Denzel Washington,
one of the great actors of our time,
but I have no desire to see this film.
None.
Also, if you want to go to the other side of that coin,
a movie I am very interested in drops on DVD and Blu-ray today.
This may be a rental this week.
Who is this Brody in this?
Hey, what, there was a Superman movie that,
okay, I know what this is.
Okay.
I was thinking about when he played the reporter
and I'm thinking of another film, I'm sorry.
This is called Waiting for Superman.
The Superman is in quotation marks.
This is basically, there's another documentary
that's a lot like this one called The Lottery.
And what the concept of this is it's a bunch of inner city kids
and their parents want them to get into these better schools.
Well, these schools only have a certain number of scholarships.
So basically they get everybody in like a town hall type style deal
and they have a lottery.
They draw for scholarships.
It's completely right.
Okay, I remember you telling me about that.
Okay, I got you.
Did not get in the Oscar nod this year.
It would shocked a lot of people.
We also go to season four of Spin City Drops today.
One of my, I enjoyed the work of this show.
The great Carla Gugino was in this show.
Yes.
Very hot.
Also had a,
very hard.
Yes, haha.
Paris Bueller Sidekick was in this as well.
A lot of great actors around that show.
Michael Jacob-Box of course as well.
And Game of Death drops today.
Which-
Wesley.
I think this was this.
The last movie he did before he went into the solid clink.
Yeah, thanks though.
So there's that.
You know, I meant to play this next song we made our announcement earlier.
I'm going to make this song because we'll make this announcement again.
Yes.
Notice how I watched a noosh.
No one has swag like us.
No.
Because we got swag now.
You can go to www.theclubhousewithRobinCody.com
Click on merchandise.
It will take you to our store.
Please wear our gear.
Let everybody you know.
Know that if you-
If you'd listen, you'd know.
I'm going to put a sticker on my car.
Get a wall clean for the studio.
I'm going to get a wall clock too for my office.
Some great stuff right there.
Go check that out.
I'm so excited about this.
When we have appearances, people can go-
I might just turn my name into a symbol and have it on there.
Can you draw a bird?
No.
Just like a little ember.
I need a medallion on there.
With a piece symbol or a Mercedes symbol.
All righty.
Let us move on at this point.
Notice I watched a new show last night.
Yeah, we're going to talk about that here in TV News.
Something that I noticed.
If it's not these SVUs and these criminal minds, why do we keep adding more show?
Did you see this banner during the Grammy?
Yes.
It's Whitaker and Jeanine Garofalo are on my screen advertising criminal minds suspect behavior.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Tomorrow night on the CBS television network.
It's, you know, SV, we had Lawnor, SVU, then it was all these DCS signs.
It didn't see I.S.
And it's-
Why do we need a criminal minds spin off?
I don't know.
This was a move.
This was a show that Mandy Patenkin couldn't stay on month.
I don't watch criminal minds so I can't tell you.
Is the cape going?
No, we just finished at last night was episode 6 or 7.
It is a 10 episode run.
It was 13 NBC kind of back to 10.
But apparently there were some nice plot twists last night.
I have not watched last night's episode because I was a little busy watching something else.
After my wife and I got home from dinner.
But Cody is right.
There's a brand new show that debuted last night on the Juggernaut known as CBS.
Sarah Chalky.
I'm a fan.
She's a hot.
Scrubs?
Yes.
Also was a Roseanne.
Got you.
The daughter.
She was the blonde.
Brandon just joined us.
Hello, sir.
Hello, sir.
Jason Biggs.
In the show.
American Pie.
American Pie.
Tyler LeBean.
Very funny and very funny.
Very funny.
Joy his work.
Called Mad Love.
And you watched it.
I watched it.
This is new information.
I was not aware of this.
I was not aware of this.
I was not.
I did not.
I did not.
I did not.
I did not.
I did not.
I did not.
I did not.
I did not play.
Oh!
So been lovely and talented Mrs. Hawkins put this on.
I was told that was watching TV.
That's not.
That's not.
So that's what I did.
That's not.
That's not.
That's not.
That's not.
You just said that for my dining room.
I was watching it.
Um.
For a pilot.
I give you this, the drill, the deal here.
Jason Biggs and the Tyler got worked together.
Tyler LeBeen.
They go out.
He meets, this, the female leads in this deal.
loser best friend. She's got a loser best friend. Well, they meet, they fall in love in eight hours.
Thanks to the chalky do or the other two do. Bigs and chalky. It's and it's real weird. He has some
some past with his ex girlfriend. It's a weird show. It's funny. The chemistry's there. I
I just need to see where it goes. Okay. Well, I'm going to give it another week. I'm going to watch
it again, but very funny. He had all the funny lines. I've never thought Jason Bigs was really
that funny to begin with. I just think he's the ever he's forever going to be the American
pie guy. But I don't know the hell of a great good show. I'll watch it again. Can I take a quick
Sarah chalky story? She was on Letterman once. You know, she's engaged to a to a guy. Yes.
And he proposes to her. She gets the ring. They go on vacation. She loses the ring.
Loses the engagement ring. So he surprises her on her birthday with another engagement ring.
The inscription on the ring said, if found, please return to it.
Funny. Yeah, we'll see. By the way, Chicago code getting killed.
Really? Yes. I don't change things in Chicago. You can't. And for still the number one show,
that looked a little weird. The trailer I saw for last night's episode of your guest,
star last night on the Wi-Fi, though. What was that? Well, see, I mean, I guess they're out of it,
Nick Lisey. Yeah. So Wi-Fi, though, still doing great. I've still got outsourced doing very well.
I think we're both going to lose this show because you know, all the blue bloods, we're teasing
the death of Tom Sellett already in season one. We've already went to that stick.
Mmm. So I don't know if the blue blood is the light at the end of the tunnel,
what you're asking right now. Yeah. So one of my, I may have picked two of my three,
or almost once canceled completely. Yeah. I don't start pilot. I thought they went. They were
episode one. Was it one and done? One and done. Wow. So. Do a little clap. We ready?
Let me take a look. See where we are on the sheet here.
We're going to talk a little stick and pucks, sir. Yeah, I guess. I read this in the last week's
episode and you really did sound like you knew what you were doing. Yeah. Let me get you to
let me get you to little hockey music, okay? Hold on. Yeah. Hockey, I'll tell you the, for local here,
the Dallas stars just went, are they're going to be up in Canada? They are in the end right now.
Yeah. They're there right now in Edmonton. Yes. They are doing the swing through Canada.
Hockey now addressing their own concussion type situation. I'm going to tell you something.
There's been a lot of suspensions. And it's not getting any better with hockey. I think it's
unavoidable. Then don't do checking with. I believe the concussion problem in HL. You can't fix it.
You can't fix it. Get it, Rodney. Robbie bandwinkle.
But here's my thing though. Can't we get better gear? We could. But I just think if you put them
in full helmets, you've got hockey on ice. And I just don't. You've got hockey on ice?
Well, you got football. That was weird. You do. You have, you have, you have, you have that
football. Yeah. You have football on ice. And I just don't know if the hockey purist,
like the great Doncher. Okay. I'm a fan of that man. So I just don't know if you're
watching to show the other day. This is what I saw. But Crosby still out. What about
stills a national era? No. But Crosby still out. That would be city Crosby. They're saying now
the penguins are saying he may still be out until next month. Okay.
Get like the NHL's a playoff league. Be in the top eight. He is at home in Canadian.
Getting it. Just, just healing. And you know what? You don't want Crosby back until he's 100%
because then you're getting back fresh and you make a big playoff. Exactly. So speaking of being
in the top eight, let's, you know, let's, I'm going to toggle Peter, Peter Forsberg. You
want to do that first? I want to end with standing. Peter's four, Peter Forsberg says he's
going to retire. Comes back for two games, plays a total of about 18 minutes. Says he's done.
Let me tell you something. Peter Forsberg. This is a guy. He's another guy that I don't like him
because of the colors he wore. Detroit, as, well, in Colorado, that's right. As a stars fan,
he gave this team fits for years. But still a great player. I'm saying Hall of Famer.
Guy played a long time. Did a lot of great things. Viacom Dio's to you, sir. We'll see.
Got speed. Yeah. One of the good players in the league. Never heard much about him. Bad.
Yeah. He has a dirty player in him. Yeah. A little bit dirty player. They all know. They all do.
Love it. Love it. No. Standings. Well, standings here. Like I said, top eight.
You are standing. I'm standing. I'm standing. I'm standing. You are standing. That's all I'm
going to give you is the top eight. We started in the east of Philadelphia. Flyers first placed
in the Eastern Conference, followed by your Tampa Bay Lightning. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep.
Boston Bruins, the Pittsburgh Penguins Crosby List. Did you see those Bruins third jerseys
like that? Like that? Like that. Like those. Like that. Pittsburgh and fourth.
Star sweaters, not the Monterey. All Canadians.
And hey, Washington Capitals barely holding onto the sixth seed right now.
So followed by the New York Rangers in that great hotbed,
Raleigh, North Carolina, home of the Carolina Hurricanes.
Hockey hotbed. We talked about that last one. Over in the Western Conference, Vancouver,
followed by Daytona Detroit, Phoenix, Dallas, Anaheim, Nashville, San Jose,
and Calgary, the flames in the eighth final spot leading the Minnesota wild by one point.
Now, where are where are you defending the City Cup champions right now? Chicago.
Chicago down in 11th place. So apparently they are three points out of the final
playoff spot in the west. So apparently you can change things in Chicago. Okay.
See, it always comes back to that horrible line.
So that's going to do it for hockey talk.
We're moving quite a long river. You are here live on YouStream with a clubhouse with Robin
Cody, each and every Tuesday night. Make sure you follow us on Twitter. I mean, yes,
that robber of an E-R-B-I-M and I am Cody, PSO. Thanks for having picked up a lot of new followers
lately. Thank you very much. We always want more. Yeah. So please come one, come all.
That's America. Bring your, bring your masses. So you're going to come one, come all.
We're going to have that later. Oh, we're excited.
Right now, we're going to get to our classic match. Not a very long match this week.
Not a lot really to talk about. It was definitely a innovative concept, if you will.
We are going to go to the year of our lower 1986.
The Derryton, original, November 27th, 1986.
To a pay-per-view called Starcade 86, night of the Skywalkers.
How George Lucas did not sue? I do not know. This was actually in two locations.
This was featured at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina and at the Omni in Atlanta.
They were trying to do the WrestleMania two thing, I guess. I'm not for sure.
We are talking about tonight, a guy, a tag team who this was their theme song in the NWA.
In my opinion, probably the greatest tag team of all time as the road warriors take on a version
of the Midnight Express. Of course, the road warriors with the precious Paul Ellering,
the Midnight Express at this time was Loverboy Dennis Coddry and Beautiful Bobby.
I've forgotten about Loverboy Dennis. They, of course, we're not only with Jim Cornett.
Do you know who else was in the ring with them? Be one big bummer Roger.
Was in this match. This was a scaffold match. Basically, you take two, you take a scaffold,
you take a 25 feet above the ring, you put all four guys up there and it's basically last man standing.
This match only went about 10 minutes because there were a 13 matches on this card.
This was 11 of 13. I'm going to run it down for you.
First of all, Tim Horner and Nelson Royal defeat Don and Rocky Carnotle.
Hall of Famers.
Then Hector Guerrero and Baron Van Rashky defeat Chasco Watley and the Barbarian on this card.
The great Chief Wahoo McDaniel.
For the University of Oklahoma.
There you are, sir.
He defeats Rick Ruud in an Indian Strat match. Rick Ruud at that time managed by Paul Jones.
Jimmy Valent with Big Mama.
Apparently Martin Lawrence was around. I had no idea.
Defeats Paul Jones at a hair versus hair match with many Fernandez locked in a cage.
And I thought you might be.
Tell me Blanchard with J&J Dylan defeats Dusty Rose in a first blood match to win the NWA World
Television Championship.
The Rock and Roll Express beat only Anderson and Arne Anderson in a steel cage match
to retain their NWA World Tag Team Championships.
Which I guess they won back from the horseman after the World Championship we watched tonight.
Brad Armstrong fought Jimmy Garvin with precious to a draw.
The Russians, Crusher Crusader and Ivan Cole off defeat.
The Kansas J-Hawks Bobby Jaggers in Dutch Montel.
And a no-dQ match to retain the NWA United States Tag Team Championships.
Here's one for you.
Bill Dundee is defeated by DQ by the great Sam Houston.
Wow.
And he retains the NWA Central State's Heavyweight Championship.
Yeah.
Big, big Bubba Rodgers beats Ron Garvin in a street fight.
This match, Rick Flair and Nikita Cole off wrestle to a double disqualification.
Rick had the belt at this point.
Nikita had the U.S. belt.
Originally, Magnum T.A. was supposed to face Flair.
Yeah.
I remember that.
But he got temporarily paralyzed in a motorcycle accident.
So Nikita, who was actually feuding with Ronnie Garvin at the time,
turned face and took Magnum's place.
Okay.
This match, your announce team, Tony Chavani was one I could not recognize who the other
announcer in this was.
Uh, the midnight express was introduced as from the dark side.
And I like that.
I always like that.
That part's unknown.
The end of this match, both teams wind up underneath the scaffold in like a monkey bar chicken fight almost.
Bobby decides he's going to try to get across and wrap his legs around animal.
Well, Hawks right behind him.
He showed up to Hawk.
Animals right behind him pushes him off.
Both members fall.
Then for some reason,
Paul Ellering gets Jim Cornett's racket and Jim decides the best course of actions to climb the scaffold.
I remember that.
That's like the scene of that match.
Yeah.
And if you know anything about Jim Cornett, he is horribly afraid of heights.
He falls off the scaffold.
He's actually pushed off or his hands are moved off by by by animal.
And he was injured because he landed wrong.
If you see him, he lands on his side and you just like,
ow, I think his voice jumped too octaves.
He was in such pain.
Had a big rubber Roger's carrying him out of a rink.
You would see this later on.
I bull.
Is it with the horseman?
Yes.
It was a rock and roll express.
Rock and roll express in the Midnight Express would do this.
Let me ask you a question.
Could you even pull off this match today?
No, the safety sample.
Okay, I don't think so.
Let me tell you something.
Ultimate X.
That's maybe five six seven feet.
This thing was 25 feet in the air.
Three scaffolds because they were painted red, white and blue.
So this was no joke, sir.
This was this was hardcore.
These guys back then would do anything for the sport and we love them for it.
But I just don't know that you could pull this.
It would never be pulled off now.
Great match.
One in classic ones.
I'm going to go ahead.
We're going to start a new thing.
Okay.
Next Tuesday from now to the Monday after WrestleMania to a nothing but
WrestleMania classic matches from this Tuesday on board all the way through.
So what do you want to do for granted?
You know what?
I think we oughted not to get to nostalgia here.
So that's what we do.
It's classic match.
I want to start out with the main event from WrestleMania one.
Now, was that the tag match?
Yes.
So you're hogging Mr. T.
Piper and Orton.
Orn d'Orth.
Orn d'Orth.
So yeah, we're going to start out.
If Orton was there, it rings out.
We're going to start off kicking off classic match WrestleMania all the way through
till after this year's WrestleMania classic match.
Every week we WrestleMania starting with the main event from WrestleMania one.
So we have what?
Seven weeks between now and WrestleMania 27.
So I think that's a good starting point.
All right.
I'm good with that.
Yeah.
So.
Awesome.
College football.
Let's do a college football.
Talk it out real quick.
The top recruit, if you listen to our signing day,
get together.
There was one recruit that didn't sign that was number one player in the country.
J.V. on Clowney.
And we talked about this last week that he was going to do his on his 18th birthday.
He did.
He was on Valentine's Day.
And he did.
And he chose the University South Carolina.
I go play.
Stay in his homestays.
Play for the old ball coach.
Let me tell you something.
Spory or either they're.
Sporyers getting some guys there.
Back-to-backen.
Five-star recruits between, you know, running back Marcus Latimore and now Javon Clowney.
South Carolina looks to be laying a little groundwork.
To maybe, maybe shift some of the power in the SEC.
There's just, I think you're getting a log jam between Bama, Florida.
Now, Auburn, LSU, that talent has to start thinning out the ranks, I think.
Do you think that this is kind of something that, if these kind of things didn't happen,
would Sporyers still be there?
Would he be just like, you know what?
I think he's done this.
But somehow, South Carolina now, all of a sudden,
seems to be able to recruit some decent ball players.
Also, in a weird kind of thing.
University of Texas, defensive coordinator Jerry Gray, also formerly of the Texas Longhorns,
former cornerback coach for the Seattle Seahawks, takes the job last three weeks as now your new
defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans.
So, Texas gets a coach, he leaves, and then they're old.
Cornerback coach that left earlier in the off season for the University of Arizona.
Coach Aquina, now he's back in Austin.
So, I don't know what's going on down there.
It was a very weird situation.
Jerry Gray, a lot of people around the UT program, very excited about his hiring.
Weird situation.
Well, there was also another breaking.
College headline, as you were on your way to my house,
as Nate Montana transferring to Montana.
Yes, he is leading the college of his father, Notre Dame, and heading to the University of Montana.
Yes, we've always said that maybe greatness doesn't get a generation.
Nate Montana couldn't hold Joe Montana's cleats.
So, working, I mean, to me, doesn't that seem like a step backwards to you?
Yes, very. Montana's not even D1.
I believe that's a one-double A.
But that's, yeah, so his brother, okay, there was a death with the coach,
Coach Aquina's brother died, so he came back.
A good deal.
I think Texas in order to keep doing what Texas does, and that's when,
you've got to get some continuity in that coaching staff.
So, him coming back is a good thing, and I'll be honest with you.
That's it.
As we're getting into that weird low of college football, as news comes out,
we will bring it, but let me tell you, there's just not a lot coming out right now.
This is you're getting into the quiet period.
Yes, you are, so.
But another sport's starting to fire up a little bit, brother, sir.
I'm kind of, are you in this year?
We talked about this last week.
We are 43 days, 14 hours, and 29 minutes from opening day.
We talked about this last week.
My brain, I think, is preparing for the lack of an NFL season.
And because of that, I think I'm more excited about baseball,
because I'm pretty sure they'll play the full season.
Well, the hot stove, a couple things coming out.
King Griffey Jr. returned to the Seattle Mariners as a special consultant.
I'm good with that.
So, Griffey going back home, never made sense to me.
I know he was honoring his father, never made sense to me him in that Cincinnati Red uniform.
He was always a Mariner to me.
Maybe he had a couple more before that.
Yeah, but anyway, so.
Very bonds.
If you think about this, we feel about this.
Getting some of those felony counts lowered from 10 to 6.
It's from 11 to 5.
11 to 5.
Okay, I've won off.
I believe that was, and the plea bargaining starts later this week.
Can he just get out of my headlines?
I just, yeah.
I don't know if Barry bonds in the trouble he's in has any relevance right now.
Guess who's having second thoughts a little cold feet?
You'll never guess.
Oh, you're married, not married.
Chad and Mary.
Andy Pettit.
Really?
Is he there going to be a record of that?
Andy Pettit now thinks he might have acted a little premature.
And breaking news, Miami wins again over Indiana 110-103.
But yeah, Pettit, Jorge Posada seems to be believing that
Andy Pettit, wrestling with a return also,
C.C. Sabathe, not against opting out in the middle of a seven-year contract.
Yeah, well, I read that late today.
What is going on there?
I don't know.
It's a weird, let me tell you something, man.
I like the Yankees.
I like the history of the Yankees with the arc.
I just don't know if they're going to be your daddy's Yankees this year.
There's some turmoil, you know, George being dead.
I think that team's in a lot of swirling right now.
But the big story right now, two big stories.
Albert Pohlholtz has extended his deadline till noon on Wednesday.
Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, on a 10-year 300 million dollar contract
that makes him 41 when that contract expires.
But does he, he's rejected their latest offer if that's correct?
That's correct.
Um, I know, uh, that's right.
You're right. Pettit called far off copyright payment.
I like that. I like that.
I like that copyright payment.
Get a hold of that now.
That's why I said about the I-35 series, and nobody would let me have it.
Um, but, um, yeah, you know, and, you know, there's,
how I think that this might be a situation to where it is legit because
now you have owners going, if not St. Louis, where?
I know the Cubs.
What a way for new ownership to make a splash but sign Albert Pohlholtz.
They're cross-town rivals.
The, uh, the white socks.
There you go.
You've got some other teams.
Mostly National League.
The one that seems to be sticking out quite a bit is Anaheim.
I could seem there.
I think he needs to get in the ALASAP.
Excuse the pun.
But I think this, this guy's got two years on first base.
And I believe he's a DH.
I just don't know if he can play 10 years at first base.
And one more, one more little blurb here for baseball talk.
I like what we're about to talk about here.
Mother's Day.
Every team in the league on Mother's Day, if they are playing,
they will have not bat boys but bat girls.
And this is in conjunction with the Suzan Comin Foundation.
Now we're doing the pink bats and pink, uh,
wristbands and pink analogies.
Yeah, I've got one more little blurb here.
Man, this thing's picking up so much.
Your stuff, man.
Hey, we're keeping, keeping a loop here.
That's right.
So we've got the Florida Marlins expressing interest in Michael Young.
Florida Marlins also put the very first seat in their new stadium today.
Cool.
Um, but Michael Young and the Florida is on one of the eight team
in his, he will take a trade there.
Only want to pay eight million of that $16 million contract.
Well, the Marlins are notorious for not paying.
So if you remember, when they won the World Series,
their payroll was $19 million a year for the whole team.
So Michael Young, they're saying they would be happy to take
Michael Young for eight million dollars.
No, I just don't know.
I believe Michael Young is untradable.
With that contract, their Rangers do not want to pay
$8 million of a $16 million or a deal for a player not on the roster.
I agree.
So, but I would be shocked if he broke camp with them to spring training.
Are we moving on?
We're done.
Ready?
All right.
Can we play this one?
Please.
Play this one.
We're going to get back into wrestling.
What do you little Raw talk?
Do you want to say a quick congratulations late today?
Former WWE Diva, Candice Michelle, expecting another child.
Congratulations to her if she's listening.
You never know.
Also, on the other end of that spectrum,
we do want to send our condolences to the family of Jerry, the King of Waller.
As they report on Raw last night, we heard early Monday morning.
Yes, Jerry, Jim Ross, actually, the funeral today in Memphis.
As Jerry Lawyer's mother passes away.
And I do want to talk about that here in just a minute.
How they address that on Raw.
I was a little concerned, but it did okay.
Before we get into Raw talk, I do want to remind everybody.
Remember, this is the Go Home show to a paper view.
Yes.
What that means is this is the last Raw before a elimination chamber,
which comes up on Sunday.
Did you read that little board of today about the paper view in Europe?
Yes.
That in Germany, they are not calling it the elimination chamber
because of the wording.
They're actually calling it no way out.
I like that.
So it's been no way out.
I agree.
But I thought that was kind of interesting.
I didn't even think of that.
As you know, I've kind of taken, I want to take Michael Cole under my wing.
I want to help him be a better announcer.
I want to help him be a better character on television.
So we're going to stop down for this week's memo to Michael Cole.
I want to get themed easy for this.
Michael Cole.
Enough already.
We get it.
You like the miz.
This is getting to the point of ridiculous.
Right, to the point where I even throw up in my mouth a little bit.
But just the mere sight of, as someone would call him later in the show,
a drunken hobbit.
Can we just go ahead and just turn him face?
Can we just go ahead and just turn him face?
That's it, yeah.
Because he's horrible.
He can't convince me he's a heel.
Exactly.
He can't convince me he's a toad.
But he can't convince me he's a heel.
And something else I noticed, I don't know if you noticed this last night,
when it's like a shot at him at the announce table,
he has a laptop in front of him.
Why do you have to leave your laptop to go to another laptop that's on a podium?
Just say it.
I do want to give a little bit of seeing the miz.
I want to give him a little bit of credit here.
He started to talk about Jerry Lawler and I got very uncomfortable.
Yeah, that was kind of a tense thing.
But he curved it around.
He did.
Because he said I want to send my serious,
most highest condolences to the family of Jerry Lawler.
And like the guy or not like the guy,
you got to give him credit because if they were going to make him talk about it,
that's a very, very thin line to walk and he walked it with professionalism.
And I'll always give credit for that.
As we move on in the show,
what do you think of this version of Morrison?
You can do something with him.
Hacked off Morrison just beating everybody down and bringing a little luck.
Like a turning full blown heel again because he is dying on the raw roster.
I don't know if turning him full blown heel is a good idea.
I just don't.
I think keep him face but let him be a little bit more aggressive.
We shall see because let me tell you, he will take all the bumps in the chamber you watch.
Yeah.
And this parkour thing, it makes the character suffer in my opinion.
But he will take all the bumps in that chamber you watch.
We also saw the return of the Kali kiss cam.
Who was the little girl doing the awkward dancing in the ring?
This was the girl that's in the chaperone with triple H.
But the weird dancing was weird.
Well, I have a couple of things on this.
As this thing went on,
I could feel myself getting dumber.
Like I think I lost in five minutes when she jumped out the candy in the box.
Well, I feel like after that I lost any knowledge I have of the American Revolutionary War.
Her dancing was weird.
I was like, why is she dancing?
And a lot of screaming and being very MTV.
Yeah.
The dancing was weird.
What do you think of Regal?
Funny.
For those of you that missed it.
Well, what about the cobra?
They're doing the kiss.
He slapped the cobra.
And then we get we cut to the locker room and there's two guys standing by
side's regal and Zach Rider.
Zach Rider is talking about something and Regal just reaches over and kisses him
on the chin bounces.
Regal's the look on his face when he turned to the camera was absolute gold.
And I liked him.
Paula Famer, no doubted by mine.
I had to stop my recording because I was laughing so hard.
I couldn't hear what was going on.
And then Hornswaggle wants a kiss from the...
Isn't he like 40?
Yeah, we're very uncomfortable for him.
But the kiss on the cheek then she drops the candy.
That was the thing he clings it up for.
And then she starts dancing again.
Why is this child dancing?
Can we just...
It's like every time she got nervous she started kind of doing this weird...
Well because she didn't...
There's no way she knew where she was.
It's hard for me.
I mean, unless Triple H's like gave her a cheat sheet.
Can we just buy out Colley's contract?
Because there's nothing left for him to do.
No.
I like him as a character.
The guy he's huge.
But I just...
We've run out of stuff on him.
We've run the course with the great Colley.
One could argue that we were in the course of long, long time ago.
The child dancing was what had me concerned.
I don't know what to do, so I'm just going to dance.
Hey.
Let's dance.
You've made straight your allocations.
Like an old 80s movie.
Hey, I'm mad at you.
I'm mad at you.
You're mad at me.
Let's dance.
You know?
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues.
As Bowie once said.
What do you think about this?
What I am now concerning as a tag team of HLRKO.
Cena and Orton.
Hey.
How's the loyalty respect RKN?
And Orton's got to get to smack now.
You've talked about this quite a bit.
I've talked about it since probably
almost latter of the part that we started this show.
At least since the fall.
But I just think the cat needs a change of scenery.
It's not his respect for his talent.
He's just, he's running up people to fight.
Yeah.
Orton, Shamest last night, horrible match.
I was one thing.
Shamest with the slingshot over the top.
Bro, look at Shamest getting kind of arrow all of a sudden.
He's got to do something.
He's working.
Yeah, like that.
He's got to do something.
Then, well, but hey.
And it all leads to that.
And after that, you texted me.
I started watching RAW right before 10 o'clock.
I headed on my DVR.
You texted me with one word.
Three letters.
All capital.
Wow.
And that was so shortly after you.
I got a text from our buddy Angel.
Said, what do you think of that?
And I said, guys, I just started watching.
Don't tell me what happens.
We get to the end of the show.
To announce the host for WrestleMania 27.
This woman gets out of the limo.
This has been so big.
Every single major media outlet in the world has picked this up.
The lights go out.
You start to see clouds and lightning.
And I like that light went out.
Done.
Done.
Yeah, and so yeah, and then all of a sudden,
you've got the clouds and the lightning.
I'm thinking here comes stink.
Oh, here we go.
And then the whole place goes pitch black.
And then you hear.
Boy.
Big.
The last time I had a reaction.
Our correction.
Yeah.
Chad called this.
Misty, I believe alluded to this.
You and I were on the complete opposite side of this course.
We thought there's no way you ever see him on WWE programming unless he's going into the hall of fame.
Two things tells me the check's pretty big because the rocks always kind of shunned this part of his career.
He always has.
And that was where the whole scene of thinking.
I mean, the scene had called him out on it.
And rightfully so in my opinion.
Yeah, I believe that the rock did.
He kind of ran from this.
A lot of.
If you went to a wrestling site, nobody saw this coming.
No.
So it has been seven years.
And that's shocked me that it's been seven years since he was on.
You thought he looked out of shape.
I want he could go right now.
You know, we'll see.
We'll see where this goes.
You like you here.
I got some here.
Back home.
I'm never leaving you again.
Hall of Fame.
He has to go in the hall of fame.
Yeah, that was my first time.
There's no way the shun and rocky.
And the same Hall of Fame class.
Better keep them separated backstage.
Let me taste up.
Duane Johnson made a lot of enemies in this business.
Yes, he did.
So he did.
Like the guy, but not the rock.
But the Duane Johnson, the man behind the character,
he made a lot of enemies in this business.
So let me just do it.
But if Sean can get Brent to bury the hatchet, that's true.
You know how on this promo went?
It went.
They went 20 over 22 minutes.
Yes, they went 20 over.
When was the last time you saw anybody
cut a promo for 22 minutes.
And my wife even watched this.
And my wife said that was 22 minutes
because that felt like about 10.
Yes, he was cutting.
And I mean, I didn't know for a second.
I said, okay, Rocky, you're going to talk.
Are we going to walk from tailgate from tailgate
from Turnbuckle to Turnbuckle?
Are we going to talk that place?
If it doesn't have the relevance,
if rock doesn't grab the microphone.
No, you know he was going to.
If he'd have walked in and waved,
and he wouldn't have seen him again
until the non-Arrests Romania,
I don't think it has the relevance.
Oh, no.
For him getting on the mic and talking to the crowd,
the roof blew off.
I'm going to call it the pond.
Yeah, it was.
You can call it which was Honda Arena.
Honda Center now.
But the arrowhead pond,
arena, and Anaheim,
the roof almost blew off.
You know what I'm looking forward to?
Rocks cutting one.
One of them cars drives in from the backstage area.
Delria.
I'd like to see that meeting.
Memo to Dix.
Real quick.
That is impact.
Yes.
That's how you get it done.
Kevin Nash said,
I've all been hearing for four years as impact.
I've seen zero impact in TNA.
You have it.
And I hate to say this to you and all people.
I think that this kills the sting.
I don't know that it does.
I think there's still room for it.
I think if you are able to get this done,
it could be the biggest WrestleMania ever.
Oh.
I mean, there's just no other way to put it.
Yeah, by far.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Do we want to do our major announcement?
Absolutely.
All right, let me cue up the proper music.
Oh, I'm excited.
I picked up your list from last week.
I was just
ready to waste a spin Valentine's Day.
Whoa.
Hopefully maybe somebody did it.
I don't know.
Uh-oh.
There's the song.
Is this from my big Mama's house?
No, this is not from big Mama's.
Like father like a son.
Sorry.
Big Mama's house.
Huge announcement.
This could be the biggest announcement
that we've ever made on this show.
From now till December.
Yep, we were told today.
We were told today.
This Sunday is a elimination chamber.
It's your February pay-per-view.
There's been a small gathering of us that have
rotated houses around to watch pay-per-views
because the wing house shut down.
That was where we watched them all.
Before that plugs his library.
My friends.
A new chapter is upon us.
A new chapter of wrestling pay-per-views
that we're going to watch together.
As Fox and the Hound and Richardson Texas
this Sunday.
It is located at Campbell in 75.
If you go to our website at www.theclubhousewithrobincoated.com
you can get a link to their website.
Find out where they are.
The pay-per-view starts at seven.
We want you there early
because starting this Sunday in every pay-per-view
for the rest at least of 2011.
The clubhouse with Robin Cody will be live
in person doing a one-hour pre-show.
Starting at six o'clock this Sunday.
Cody's going to be there.
I'm going to be there.
We're going to have our whole setup.
We're going to get you ready for elimination chamber.
The only way we know how.
And that's the best way possible.
Yes.
And this is going to be something that's going to be
elimination chamber.
Restful media.
Backlash.
Whatever they call them from down rules.
Over the limit.
Night of champions.
The whole thing.
Root TLC.
We're going to be there.
Through December.
We're going to be live at Fox and the Hound.
Lewisville.
$3 to get in.
Which isn't bad.
Which isn't bad.
I'm told the food is very good.
Yes.
They'll be drink specials.
We're going to have our own private room.
Yes.
Private room.
It's a 50.
So it's a very bugged stretch out.
Got sofas in there.
We've checked the place out.
Everybody in the Metroplex has been
gripping since Pugsley's closed down.
Where can I watch these pay-per-views?
Here we are.
And hey, if you're not in the state of Texas
and there's a Bailey's or a Fox and a Hound near you,
check it out.
They could be showing them.
And make sure when you come out,
tell them that you're there
because of the clubhouse with Robin Cody.
We are building our audience.
We're helping them build their audience.
We cannot be excited enough about this.
This is going to be every month.
And hey, I'll be honest with you.
If you don't like WWE, don't let's not your bet.
Hey, come have a beer.
Come up and have a listen to show.
Shake our hands.
We'd love that too.
Yep.
Absolutely.
Welcome all of them.
And I want to say a special thank you to David.
Our buddy David Rizazada, who alerted me to this.
Yes.
They just started with the rumble.
So they're trying to build this crowd.
Bring everybody you know that has any interest at all.
We're going to be live.
You're going to see us do what we do in person
in three dimensions.
3D seems to be the big thing right now.
Join us this Sunday.
Get there early.
The show is on the air promptly at 6 o'clock
as we prepare you for a elimination chamber.
Boxing the Hound, Richardson, Texas, just west
of 75 on Campbell Road.
It's right kind of right behind it.
What used to be a KFC?
You have to look for it.
It's there.
I'm excited.
I'm excited.
Yeah.
These are great times for us.
So yeah, the show is growing, growing, growing.
And hey, if you get some clubhouse swag
probably wouldn't have it for this one.
Hey, WrestleMania starts a little bit early.
Wear your swag out there, man.
We'd love to see you.
We'll be in it.
I'll be in it.
That's right.
I'll be in it.
I'll probably have on the spaghetti tank.
But anyway, thank you for also to Fox
the Hound as a whole for really embracing this.
Yes.
There's a lot of around the country that carry them.
Check them out.
We want to thank these guys for bringing us in.
They're as excited as we are.
We're looking forward to it, man.
Come out, say hello, see the show live.
Get ready.
We may have a little laptop set up
so you can order your own swag while you're there.
Yeah, we worked that out.
Oh, let's do a little NFL talk.
I got a kid a little.
Yes, I'm all excited now.
Interesting, just came down before we went on the air.
The NFL's added again for the displaced 400.
They've offered them yet another.
Because people work a pain in what about my hotels?
What about my flight?
They are offering five grand or what they can,
what these 400 people can prove and receipts,
whichever is greater.
Okay.
For their accommodations that they've
quit programming.
Note, I am going to do the mock draft next week.
Next week, I want to spend some time.
I don't want to rush through it.
Absolutely, I'm going to pour with that.
Next week, mock draft teams one through 15.
Oh, wow.
So you're going to have to 15 on it.
Yeah, it went 15.
And that would start with the Carolina Panthers
and end with your Miami Dolphin.
So we will do a mock draft next week, one through 15.
Los Angeles wants Super Bowl 50,
but they can't do that, right?
Two small problems don't have a stadium,
but most of all, they don't have a team.
And you told me that this is,
this is league rules.
League rules.
You don't have a team.
You can't have a Super Bowl.
Also, into that, I know a lot of people's rumour,
Jacksonville's been won,
St. Louis's where they were,
they were their LA Rams before.
Minnesota has passed.
They will pay for their new stadium
through taxes off a lottery tickets.
I'm sorry.
They're fixing the roof in the backroom.
Yes, for one more year.
One more year.
And it looks like the Vikings are going to stay in Minnesota.
They're going to go back outside.
They have to.
I agree.
They have to.
Yes, I believe LA needs another team.
It's a second.
It's a second largest market in the world.
I'm not the world.
But I'm here in New York, LA, Chicago.
Yeah, I believe LA needs another team.
But let me tell you, the NFL has no plans of expansion.
I believe San Diego, Jacksonville, St. Louis, Buffalo.
That's it.
Yeah, Buffalo, go to Toronto.
Jacksonville, go to Oklahoma City.
I'm still singing by my guns out there.
Okay.
Albert Haines, but do they deserve another shot?
Yes, yes.
Oh, absolutely, absolutely.
Albert Haines worth this cat.
This came down late Monday.
Yeah.
Inside sources within the Washington Redskins
are saying Albert Hainesworth has been accused of sexual harassment.
How many chances will this for on what's bad is?
The Washington Redskins can't release seem or trading.
So they're locked financially into this thug.
I said it.
Okay, Bob, do you hear me debating?
And they're tied into this guy.
I believe he's a guy that you can't release.
You know, Washington, clean up your team,
releasing David's Daniel Snyder.
You made the deal, bite the bullet, pay the guy,
get him out of your locker room.
Buy him out.
So please, he's a Redskin fan.
Redskin, so.
Michael, two of these today.
Michael, Vic, and Peyton Manning,
and Vincent Jackson,
from their respective teams,
all get the franchise tag today.
And for those of you that don't know what a franchise tag is,
basically what that means is for the next season,
they don't go anywhere.
Yes, they stay right where they are.
So, Peyton Manning will be a cult,
but Vic will be an eagle,
and Vincent Jackson will be property of the San Diego Super Chargers.
That last one was kind of weird to me.
Yeah.
The weird one was because Mr. Erse,
the owner of the Annapolis Colts,
Guaranteed Peyton Manning would be the,
what do you call it?
The highest paid quarterback in college football.
That was his name, didn't it?
But in the NFL,
they're not able to do that.
So they're franchising it for you.
Here's still make $25 million.
Did you see the owner of the pants?
Yes, speaking of Peyton Manning.
And let's do this.
People in the chat room want to know.
Let's do a little labor.
NFL labor talk update here.
No closer.
No closer.
And they've got what, two weeks until the next week?
Really, to me, it's June.
Well, yeah, because that's what I mean.
Because many kids aren't going to be marching.
Yeah, I think the March deadline's a little must.
That's when you quit paying the players.
That's when you lock the players out.
But I'm going to say really it's the start of training camp.
And these talks are not getting any more civic.
What boils down, what boils down to is this.
The owners want more money,
but they want the players to take less.
They believe that the current state is,
that the NFL's players are paid too much.
And that's what's drove up the cost of ticket prices.
Well, they want a 50-50 split of the revenue.
The owners laughed.
They walked away from the table.
Yep, they did.
They got it walked away.
But yeah, the exchange between the owner of the Carolina Panthers
and Drew Breeze in Peyton Manning was very awkward.
They don't need to read a spreadsheet.
Do you son?
No, it's, can you read a spreadsheet?
Yeah, yeah.
Are you sure you know how to understand how business works?
And what they brought up on the four-letter network last night was,
this guy played in the league for 10 years.
You know, he basically told Peyton Manning at one point.
Back in the day, if I wanted to shot at you,
I'd have taken a shot at you.
Wow.
But you know what, the play, to me, the players,
I'm gonna be honest with you.
I mean, everybody in the chat room, everybody listening,
which we appreciate that.
Absolutely.
A lot of these players are so cash-strapped
and live, so paycheck to paycheck,
I don't know if one of these guys can go for five months without a chat.
Drew Breeze lives on my couch.
Yes, I just, I don't know, this is a beer.
This is more death-remental to the players than the owners.
Because I don't know if people, I'm just gonna name names here.
Tony Romo, Michael, I'm just picking out names.
Peyton Manning, we don't know their financial situation.
Can these guys go a year without a paycheck?
I think some of them can, because I think some of them,
I think the Peyton Manning's in the world are smart.
Well, there's a deal, that 70, 45% of them can't.
But whose fault is that?
That's their own.
You don't need 10 houses, cousin don't need a house.
Mom don't need five cars, come on man.
The league told you, beginning of the year, save.
Eight, the league takes.
The league told you last, you start saving one more year to go.
Start saving your game checks.
It won't strike.
The NFL does want 18 game season, that will happen.
I think it will too, because especially if you're gonna get rid of two preseason.
Yes.
We've said for years that the preseason is too long,
you end up charging your season ticket holders,
almost full ticket price for a preseason game
where they're not gonna see it.
Now, in order to get the 18 games,
the players have proposed less, less padded and tackling
and hitting in training camp.
I'm on board with that.
I can completely understand that.
I think that happens.
Also, think the rumor of expanding the playoffs by one team happens.
But then you'd only have, wow, I think it's pretty much,
but that means one team gets a buy?
Yes.
Pretty much, it's billionaires fighting with millionaires
over about $500 million.
That's what this boil, that's this boil is down to in the long run.
And the owners are gonna get their money regardless.
Yes.
So, that's where we stand, not a whole lot coming on,
but the combine will happen and the NFL draft will happen.
But let me ask you this.
If we're talking about maybe an 18 game season,
killing two preseason games,
would you be a proponent?
Because this is something that I'm very on board with.
That Thursday night game, the first game of the year,
that's your Hall of Fame game.
Yes.
I mean, there's different, they've got to mix it up.
Because the Hall of Fame is a preseason game, where's me out?
Yes, they won't strike.
They will not lock out the year.
I still think they will.
I don't.
I think that fat is this.
I don't know if it'll be done by March 2nd.
I believe it's done by May, the second week of May, this is done.
He's putting it out there, kids.
Second week of May, it's on record.
Yeah, I think this thing's done by the second week of May.
I believe everything's back to normal.
But I believe, you know, quit a couple things here.
Quit building these high dollar stadiums.
I eat Jerry Jones.
The cheapest ticket's 200 bucks to get in.
The cheapest ticket's actually $49, but you don't get a seat.
Okay, I'm not doing that.
So you're not doing 200.
I'm not doing 200 dollars either.
But what I'm saying is that the NFL, I believe, for a lot of markets,
it's priced itself out of the arena.
I agree.
So, but we will get more labor talk when we get it.
You'll know as soon as we eat every Tuesday night, right now on the Clubhouse.
Next Tuesday, Montdraft, Carolina through Miami.
Carolina, you're on the clock for the next week.
So, street light just come on.
It did come on.
And the pendulum does swing back to you, sir,
as we prepare for the list.
You have a nice list this week.
You like that?
We went from Valentine's Day to breakups.
Yeah, well, you know, hey, it's after Valentine's Day now.
Yes.
Some guys are actually getting back together with their girls.
So what's with it after Valentine's Day?
Get with the faith no more.
So,
we'll talk about Valentine's Day.
Yes, your day last week on the show.
If you listen, you would know.
Exactly.
That's the slogan.
But,
so with the Michael Young situation and the Peyton Manning
and all these teams, these players not being happy here,
I thought the top 10 sports breakups of all time.
There've been a few.
Been a few.
I learned it down to 10.
Everybody should know these.
Number 10,
many Ramirez and the Boston Red Sox.
Many Ramirez now,
a Tampa Bay really.
Oh, how the mighty have.
This one in Damon and Ray's uniform is just really weird.
If you remember,
Manning was in Cleveland for a lot of years.
And I believe Boston,
he did a lot of Manning being Manning with the Red Sox.
Walking into the outhouse out there in the left field,
jumping in the crowd,
and giving the guy the high five,
all the antics with Manning Ramirez as we remember
as a baseball player.
A couple of crotch grabs on camera.
So Boston, and when they broke up,
that was a weird deal,
because I believe the Red Sox just got tired of Manning being Manning.
Their fans didn't,
but I'll be the organization as a hold-in.
Yeah.
Number nine, Bobby put it.
He got to LA and now to Tampa Bay.
Yes, okay.
Number nine, Bobby Patrino and the Atlanta Falcons.
This was a weird situation.
Bobby Patrino leaving the University of Louisville
to take the job with the Atlanta Falcons.
Lasted one year,
one season, and then he's now at the University of Arkansas.
Yeah, Pixie, but what's the break up was,
he left a letter in all the posted on the locker room door.
Doesn't even tell his own team on his own team,
and then he has shown that night on local television
at a midnight press conference in the great city of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Saying, peace and chicken grease come out.
Saying, Pixie, which irritated a lot of players,
one being the Angelo Hall.
Called him gutless and spineless.
Number eight, Joe Montana and the San Francisco 40th.
This, to me, is one of the weirdest things
ever in professional sports,
was seeing Joe Montana in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform.
Yes, absolutely.
Weird thing here, pretty much what happened was,
Joe Montana gets injured in the 1989 NFC Championship Game against New York.
Giants?
They put in an unknown backup at the time named Steve Young.
Oh, yeah.
And things in the Bay Area, not the same.
Joe just couldn't get healthy.
That's true.
And by 1992, actually 91,
Steve Young is your full-time 49er starting quarterback,
now Hall of Famers.
Well, and Joe goes off to Kansas City plays one year and done.
Number seven, one that you, he was done when he got there.
Number seven, one that's very close to me.
Yes, sir.
Barry Switzer in the University of Oklahoma.
I know we have a lot of fans in that part of the region.
This thing went on actually.
They tried to fire him from 81 on.
The drinking, the womanizing, everything that he is and still is.
And what it boiled down to was the raising of players' grades.
Oh, of course.
It's what ultimately got Barry Switzer, i.e. resigned or five years
Oklahoma.
And really, honestly, that was 89.
It took Oklahoma 11 years to recover from that.
Really put that.
And then he went wrote a book about it.
And it's a great book.
And I want it.
It's an art background.
Signed if I'm not mistaken, yes.
Number six, Tom Landry and the Dallas Cowboys.
Reason why most of the Dallas Fortwork Metroplex hates Jerry Jones.
Indeed.
He fires the legendary coach in the Fedora.
The only coach that Dallas Cowboys had ever had at that point.
Of course, he hires Jimmy Johnson.
Also, fires the great Tech Shramp.
And that big head cutting deal.
But hey, we got three rings out of the deal.
Number five, the whole entire franchise of the Chicago Bulls.
What I mean by that, if you remember the 97 Chicago Bulls labeled the last dance.
Phil Jackson, Dennis Rodman, Scotty Pippen, Michael Jordan.
Like Jerry Rajdorf.
Just if he keeps Phil Jackson, all of them guys come back and play.
And they probably went for your four.
I mean, Jerry Rajdorf just did not want to deal with Phil Jackson anymore.
Number four, this summer, LeBron James and the City of Cleveland.
Oh, good lord.
This thing, I had, and I knew this was going to happen.
The burning of jerseys, kids crying.
Put the jerseys in a casket and bury them.
Come on people to sports.
Oh, see, my whole thing was, and I still contend to this day.
He gave you seven years of his career.
And y'all couldn't get him the supporting casket you needed to win a championship.
Couldn't do it.
So you can go and lose 24 straight.
Number three, Brett Farb and the Green Bay Packers.
See, to me, this was what people like to call a comedic grenade.
Yes, because it hit, but it took a year.
Actually, it took two or three.
Until, I mean, to me, the full shrapnel of this
was the day he pulled up in front of the metro now.
Well, to me, the climax of this happened last week at Cowboys Stadium.
Yeah, with Aaron Rodgers getting the deal done.
Very strange thing.
Yes, that was, that was one, too.
We will add that on here at the end.
Some honorable mentions.
Um, yes, but Brett Farb and Green Bay, that was a weird deal.
I can see the disrespect on both sides.
Green Bay was wanting to dictate when Brett Farb was done.
So, but then Brett, I think owed it to Green Bay.
Maybe not going to Minnesota.
Yeah.
Well, remember the deal for the trade that the Jets was,
if he played the full season, they got a fourth round pick.
Yes.
If he made the playoffs, they got a third round pick.
If they made the, the, the, the conference championship,
they got a second round pick.
I mean, the first round, but if the Jets traded him to Minnesota,
they got four first round picks.
Yeah, that was the stipulation.
That's how much hatred there is between the Green Bay Packers
and the Minnesota Vikings.
Yeah, there was a weird situation.
Number two, the city of Baltimore and the formerly known
of Baltimore Colts.
Did a 30 on 30 about that?
Yes, the, the band that never died.
If you remember the city of Baltimore and the Colts,
of course, the owner, Jim Urce,
pick right, wanted a new stadium in the city of Baltimore,
didn't get it.
Mayflower in the middle of the night,
pulls up into Baltimore Colts, almost in Arizona.
Mm-hmm.
If you're watching a 30 on 30 on Spain,
Baltimore Colts almost moved to Arizona.
They were within striking distance.
Yes, but they moved to now Indianapolis.
They build the brand new Hoosier Dome,
if you remember.
Mm-hmm.
And RCA Dome.
Baltimore never could get an expansion team,
finally stole enough, pulled up,
and stole their original Browns from Cleveland in 1997.
So, and number one,
I, I, it could not, you could disagree,
Shack and Kobe.
When you talk about,
Now, do you even say sport,
are you talking about the bad blood therein
or just the impact at the top?
The impact at the top?
The LAs?
Yeah, the LAs won more champions, yes.
But I'm talking about, at the time,
L.A. was top of the world.
So, and a lot of people thought,
Shack, going to Miami,
it was going to be one of these deals where,
and he said, I'm here to win a championship,
and dog gone, and he didn't, he didn't, he didn't.
Yes, I'll give you that one, Emmett,
becoming a member of the Arizona Cardinals was weird.
I don't know if that was necessarily a, a bad breakup though.
I mean, the Cowboys just didn't want to resigning,
and I believe the team was going younger,
and he made some parting shots on the,
on the roster as he left.
So, yeah, the diamond's the poop who think,
you're right, you're right.
That's it, that's the list.
Balls back in your court, brother.
