POI's assignment we do on this show where we pick a person or an entity and we debate their
greatness or lack of their of this week it was going to be something and then i changed it the
last minute because in pre-show Stephen and I were talking by the way joining us tonight in studio
we've got Russell and Jeremy on my right like it matters to whoever's listening but they're on my
right don't afford in the middle and sitting in Chad seat because he has convalescing currently
is Stephen Zimmerman can I just say how how dedicated remember the empire his wife is
her husband is is dealing and she is still listening to the show thank you put it out there of course
the lovely lady you wish to send you know she's a lovely great thank you for support but this
week we're going to talk that we were going to tell you something and I changed it last minute because
Stephen and I were talking in pre-show and he was that lockdown last week which is why he wasn't
in the chat room he was busy handling our our field work yes for impact wrestling which is now
CNN wrestling yes they keep changing the name of that company and so we got to talking about
lockdown I don't want to talk about what happened at lockdown I want to save that for wrestling talk
but I want to compare because at least two of us don't we're using the anniversary yeah he was
drove out I bought you the soda remember and I drove me on a taxi I have slept since then he
almost pushed me down the stairs like I was running up to say hi to you and he's coming down
the stairs he's like oh hey buddy hey oh I know it was just Jeremy were you guys at slam a
anniversary okay so the three of us were there Chad was Chad wasn't there barbed wire was there with you
so that they have that major here and then lockdown of course was in San Antonio
Stephen was the only one to run there so I want to compare and contrast the two I thought slam a
versery at at the time slam a verse was the biggest crowd T and they had ever played in front of yeah
now that is of course since been broken because the the British crowds alone crushed that
but I thought it was a well put together show I thought it was weird that not everything was
HD because every time they'd cut to ring footage the screen would shrink by two thirds so you
knew it was only in standard definition but you know staying gets the whole thing with Christian
coming out talking about staying and everything and I thought it was a great show better than it
had to be now Stephen you were at lockdown and I would like you to compare and contrast what what
did you think was better what did you think didn't measure up okay the ending didn't measure up I'm
just saying all right um slam a verse was better overall from card wise and the whole bit but the
one thing I liked about lockdown there was so much more uniformity there like they had everything
ready to go remember in slam a verse when we tried to get in and it was a zoo like you had to
pile in and push yeah yeah but I think the problem there was with slam a versery being at the
University of Texas at Arlington's basketball deal that was like one of the first events they
hosted there I think they were still trying to get their legs underneath them the album
of domes been around for a minute the construction didn't help their own the University of
Construction in Arlington yeah so that was one thing um the crowd I think was a little more
lively or though at slam a versery really yeah that was a great crowd yeah that crowd was hot
that was a great crowd at slam a versery I locked down the only people they got behind was
Chavo and sting but Chavo's had kind of career in his aunt hasn't he yeah he's didn't
more he's getting more crowd reaction in any of the reason why is because now they're going to
a lot of like Hispanic places where a lot of his banks live and all he has to do is do something
Eddie Grero because he can't think of either his own PowerPoint yeah I can't but Chavo's snoreville
as far as I'm concerned let me ask you this going to lock down and we talked about this
in the show about three weeks ago did the fact that not all of the matches being cage matches did
that affect the way you saw the card because up until this point every match at lockdown every
year has been some form of a cage match whether it was lethal lock down whether it was a string
cage match whether it was a tag team cage match whether it was knockouts in the cage did that affect
the show what I'll tell you no I thought it was better with lesser cages because those
cage the kitty and a cage is like a thicker dark material so it's kind of hard to see like in it
I mean you still get a good view and everything but it's but it's nice to see in ring action
and being able to see all of it I mean I mean during I mean during uh lethal lock down at
lockdown this year you saw a bunch of things but you had to see people like really take high spots
or be on one corner of the ring but you couldn't really see too much I but so they're not being
in a cage actually probably made it a little better let me see this on the crowd when Holgen and
Storm both came out that I thought the riff was going to shake that's Mac no one Holgen came out
and then Storm came out a little bit later I thought it was like some a verse read it's like a
verse read you remember that one Holgen came back that's right I forgot about that when Storm
came out and Holgen came out I thought the roof was about to shake when Holgen came out in the very
beginning yeah oh the I was like they're gonna have to take like three matches off this card
because this crowd won't calm down and then then the first match everyone got so involved with the
first match which was Joe and Aries which was great match I'm like amazing that I'm like there
because I remember the graphic I opened it and I looked at barb wire and I was like this is what
we're starting this with because I as it going into this will be one of the matches of the night
trust me but then Storm came out after that and no one's expecting to see him that all the
pop he got and then of course you had bully Ray come out first put second and and they got hot
because he was talking down on Texas that's going to reverse the crowd just blows the lock down
crowd away test marker winning the knockout title that night that was the first time I've heard a
like a knockout or a diva's reaction that loud yeah I mean you compare you had a lot of people
at at the Alamo dome and stuff in San Antonio but slam a verse tree was a much better at that let me
ask you was how much of the Alamo dome was not but was covered up 343 really we were a fourth of it
I looked at it and you you count the sections and you were in the house all the way around we were only in a
fourth of it how did that thing be money don't know oh same oh because of what's it called the
Alamo dome is now a ran through UT San Antonio so you have to go through their athletic department to
get it so it's probably cheaper than instead of it being like the old was that not when we had to get
those tickets for slam a verse he was that not the biggest whip ever what do you mean what try to buy
tickets summer you had to do it through the UT San Antonio yeah you had to do it section by section to
try to find it that was a beating for me yeah now I just I took a gamble and since it was an
Arlington I was like I'm just gonna buy the tickets at the thing and I dropped 45 bucks and got corner
ringsides seats for 45 bucks and you walked up and bought those yes wow I was like well like
did not know not right on floor like a month ahead of time yeah not like I'm gonna third deck not
on the floor not on the floor but it was right on the banking right like kind of where Chad and I sat
for WWE homecoming yeah I mean it was just like it was right there I'm like you know I was
surprised but you went to lockdown you had to have your tickets in advance for lockdown those yeah for a
minute I thought I would go and I was like no I don't have the money and then I then I had the
factoring everything else I would have spent to have gone and what are these days yeah I mean that
was that was a fun trip but as far as the show the atmosphere and everything I would definitely
take slammer versus so is it apples and oranges to you or would you have taken one over the other
if you had only two if you could only go back and go to one of the two oh slammer versus it would
be just slammer versus I thought it was a great show the great show great matches and what the
crowd was so into I mean we only had like four people behind us that were really into everyone else
it was like it was almost like I was at a Monday night raw crowd those are so poor I went to I
went to Raw a couple weeks ago when it was in Dallas that was such a poor show I don't like WWE
shows because you got to be quiet with all kids I can't be ready I think that was what's going on
with WWE right now they're mailing it in because they can that's my problem they they're mailing
it in because they know they've got the market again Vince is only at his best when he has competition

in the birds she was told it was going to be done without like it was just there there's
going to be a screen in the birds we're going to fly by so they never gave her one attack

palm-althe Santa Miller should have won an Emmy for that scene alone just the exact absolute

mortal combat with DC characters if you have not seen footage from this thing it is amazing
and basically what Jeff John one of the things he said was what Warner Brothers told us
because we were like what can we do what can't we do and Warner Brothers just said don't worry
about what you can't do do what you want to do he said there are so many Easter eggs in the game
itself for you to look at you'll spend more time doing that than you will playing the game and again
if you have not seen footage from this thing look it up it is ridiculous I can't wait to this thing
