A MIRRORNIC!
Joe, stop!
Are you ready for the jam?
I said are you ready for the jam?
Yo G, kick it!
Drums, please!
Keep it going, uh!
Terry!
Wait!
Cran!
Yeah!
Hey y'all, I'm bringing heat

Waking news and I don't even try
It is Sunday night
It is 7.01 on the East Coast
It is 4.01 on the West Coast

For the 3rd of March

My name is Rob
And I'm the guy with more technologies
And he should be allowed to have
Joining me as he does each and every week
Across the desk
With a different mic that we're testing out
Because we can, he is chat
I really have to see how this translates
I sound so, uh, velvety
You get your not America's velvet teddy bear
This is how it sounds
What are we missing?
No, I need my other laptop if you don't mind
Oh, no, no, I'm trying to pull up our first story
And the, uh, the browser on my iPad
Is not allowing me to do so for some reason
We appreciate each and every one of you being here as you tend to do each and every week with us right here on the clubhouse
Remember, we are your one-stop shop for all things sports and entertainment

Let's start with corrections
We only have one for last week
And it was one that if you, I didn't catch it till I played it back
So, it's not one that was a glaring error
It's, uh, when we were talking about the Oscars
And we talked about Ralph Garmin
And he said that Ralph Garmin played Ted's dad and Ted
He was not Ted's dad, Ted is the bear
He played Mark Wahlberg's dad when Mark Wahlberg's character was a young boy
So, there is that
And by he, you mean me
He being you, yes
Because we have no third chair tonight
We decided to fly solo-ish
Because really technically we're not flying solo because there's another person in the room
But, uh, there's that
All right, we're almost where we need to be here
We have no passengers, it's pilot and co-pilot
Okay, this is, uh, not fun
We're having problems with the, uh, with our first story here
Being able to pull up here
So, we may as well just keep looping this song
We may have to, I don't know for sure
And all the boys have had their fun
We're having browser issues as well
Okay, so there's that
Let's just go ahead and get in the NASCAR, shall we?
Maybe?
There we go
I rebooted everything, I promise
Uh, Don Ford, our official fact checker is in the room
He says there's a rattling chatter sound with the broadcast
Is that just when, uh,
Because I'm not hearing anything on my end
Was it maybe just a home when there wasn't a music playing or...
I wonder what's the ceiling fan
It could be
And this mic
Um, I know there was a bit of a line noise with my mic earlier
No, I'm saying, with this mic being a new mic
And we've never tried it in this room before and the ceiling fan's on
It could be, I don't know, I've been getting some chop in it
See, we'll see which one's the fan and which one's not
Because that shouldn't be set that high anyway
A constant clicking sound, I've got nothing on that
And that might be the...
Uh, Russell's joined it as well
And your wife who has a British descent is here
How is it now guys, is it gotten better because I still can't hear anything on my end
From that
So
We check our settings here
Settings seem to be where they're supposed to be
We'll just have to see how it works out here for a little while
Because again, I can't hear anything
Um, I'm gonna mute my mic, tell me guys if you hear anything different
Because I couldn't hear anything either way
So
We'll let her make any changes on my face
Alright, we turned off the, off the ceiling fan in the studio
Let us know if that fixes anything guys
Uh, dates on a 500 last week
Ratings were a 30%
Overlash here
Jules is saying still the same noise
It sounds like there's a constant clicking if you had the baseball card in the spokes of it's higher
See that's so, it sounds like it would be
And there's not that much of a delay between what we say and when it broadcast
And I just turned the ceiling fan down
Let me switch this mic out, because that's the only other thing we've done
Yeah, switch it to see what happens
Now that I've muted Chad's mic, let me know if you guys are still hearing it or not
Because we can't hear anything on our end
You said it stopped for a quick sec
Oh, you know what?
I wonder if it's the wires
You're back on
Okay
But this is the highest rating for the Daytona's to 500 since 2006
I'm going to experiment with something real quick
Um, we start, you want to go ahead and pull up the next story
And I'll let you start talking about it and then I'll do something over here real quick
But Phoenix seems to be still going underway because we don't have results yet
Which is this week's race next week
We'll be the cobalt tools 400 at 3 o'clock Eastern from Las Vegas
Las Vegas
I love that, uh, that, uh,
Oh Carl Edwards did win, okay
No, NASCAR.com is not updated
But I love that they do Las Vegas winning thing because it's a boxing belt
Russell says it sounds fine to him, so I don't know maybe if we've got people on different servers
Or what's going on
We're going to get this thing figured out for you, I promise you
But we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment
Do you have the next story pulled up Chad?
Um, I'm having browser issues of my own either reboot
Oh really?
Yeah
It's fair, it's familyering
I blame Y2K
Ooh, that hurt
Your head's not the microphone?
I think I did
All right, let's just go on to some TV talk
Uh, let me know if you guys are still, are you guys still hearing it?
Is there still a problem?
Um, I don't know, I don't know what to say
I didn't cue that up
I queued this up, thank you
I will remember you
Haha, not to this is what we get for going solo
We have a Viacom deals to start TV talk as, uh,
The entertainment world lost a big name this week
At the age of 69
Uh, losing a battle with pancreatic cancer
Her name is Bonnie Franklin
So Chad, are you ready to go over there?
Um, still getting a new stream
Well, do you pull this up and then we can work on that
I don't know what's going on here, because again, I can't hear anything
So it's gotta be the signal going out
I'm wondering maybe we've got to lose connection or something back here
So
Um, Don, if you call me, we're gonna get the delay and it's gonna sound really weird
So, I mean, Grants is probably something weird now, but we're gonna try to get this thing in the control
I will remember you
I will remember you
I will remember you
Don't get you
Chad's still having some issues over there himself
You know what, Russell, I was gonna play the one day at a time thing, but I don't think I have it
But again, Bonnie Franklin did play the mother on one day at a time
Uh, with, uh, Valerie Burtonnelli
And Mackenzie Phillips
And Schneider
A great actress and from, from all accounts, a Greek human being
Born in Santa Monica, California
Uh, to the, uh, daughter of Claire and Samuel Benjamin Franklin
I thought that was an interesting, interesting name
Uh, he's, he was an investment banker
Her parents were both Jewish immigrants, her father from Russia and her mother from Romania
Uh, moved to Beverly Hills once she was 13, graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 61
Um, and, uh, attended UCLA
Uh, was married to playwright Ronald Salsy from 1967 to 1970
And to film producer Marvin Menoff for 29 years from 1980 until his death in November of, uh, 2009
Uh, he executive produced a television film called Portrait of a Rebel the Remarkable Mrs. Sanger
Which she starred as Margaret Sanger before they got married in 1980
And, apparently she had no children
But, uh, she, uh, family spokesman announced in September of last year, September 24th of last year
That, uh, that she had pancreatic cancer and was undergoing treatment
And she passed away at 8.69 on March 1st at her home from complications of pancreatic cancer
But had a very, very, uh, prolific career, particularly through the 60s and 70s
Uh, did an episode of the man from Uncle was in, uh, Gidget, uh, did an episode of the Monsters
Uh, she was actually, and this is something I was completely unaware of
She was, uh, Captain Stubing's ex-wife in the series' first episode of the Love Boat
I had never heard that or read that anywhere
And my memory doesn't go back that far of the Love Boat
Okay, I did get an example of what's going on
It's, there's definitely a clicking sound going on coming from Ustream
Uh, so I don't know if it's coming from here to there or if it's coming from the board to the server
So, um, I'm not sure how we want to do this
Do we just want to just kind of take a quick break, maybe reboot everything and see if it's still happening
That works for me if it's okay, guys, hopefully that'll solve the problem
We're going to go off the air for just a couple of minutes and we're going to reboot this thing
And then we're going to come right back
So don't go anywhere, we appreciate everybody being here
And you can turn the fan back on
Okay
And we're back
Holy cow
People listening on iTunes are going, what just happened?
Just to keep those of you updated
If there seems to be a little bit of an odd thing to the podcast this week
Don says we're good to go
Awesomeness
So apparently I just needed to reboot the computer
Or maybe, you know, it could have been Ustream was resetting their servers as well
For those of you just joining the podcast if you're listening on iTunes
We had some technical difficulties
Apparently there was a horrible clicking noise
Which is not just the two rocks that reside inside my head rubbing together to form thought
Not our jaws clapping again
But we did in the break, we did go back and listen to the recording we made locally
And there was no background noise
And we're thinking maybe it was going out from Ustream to some users
Again, we love Ustream, we've got no problems with them
And we appreciate them letting us have this show
And they've always been...
Now he says there's a slursound
Have you been drinking again?
I haven't been, I mean, I've got my diet mountain due here, but
It's not like you're turning...
Am I being punked?
It's not like you turned into foster brooks all of a sudden
He said the clicking stopped, that's good news
So we're going to go forward
We're sitting around the campfire
You're not in the boss of me
Forming our buttons, straggling
But I think we've got it fixed now
We're going to keep going forward
We're probably going to run a little bit late tonight
Because where you talk there is a...
Is it when both of us talk?
Is it when I talk? Is it when Chad's talking?
This is driving me nuts
You?
I executive produce this thing
When anyone talks
I don't know what I don't know what to say
We're going to go through this next...
Hey Don, do me a favor, try to log out of you stream and then come log back into it
Close your browser down, reboot your computer and come back and see what she does
I'm going to put on my headphones and listen to it through the laptop
You can try that
Or just take one of the spare pair headphones that we have to unplug ears
Your next cast of Dancing with the Stars has been announced
The season premiere of Dancing with the Stars season 415 or whatever it is
Is going to be on March the 18th that is a Monday night
So I will not be watching it
We're going to go with your lesser known stars first
Ali Raceman, who is one of the Olympic gold medalists and gymnastics from this past summer
She'll be on there
Jacobi Jones, Raven's wide receiver
Not really sure what's going on there
But Don said it got better, I got Betta
Lisa Vanderpump from the real housewives of Beverly Hills
Victor Ortiz, who's a former boxing welterweight champion
Which I'm going okay
Ingo Radamocker
If you are a fan of General Hospital
He plays jacks on that extravaganza
DL Hugh Glee
Who you know what?
I can't say either way on that
It'll be funny if nothing else
Dorothy Hamill
By the way, speaking to people of her ilk
I saw I was watching Jeopardy the other day
And I saw a picture of Nadia Comanich
Holy cow
Nadia Comanich, how you doing?
Thanks for coming by
She looks great
Kelly Pickler
Who's starting to grow her hair back out
Gorgeous girl that one
But I can never see her not here
I just...
Why, known a Judd?
Which, so there's that?
And Andy Dick
You can talk in the microphone if you want to
Oh, you're on the delay, aren't you?
I'm leaning back here
Trying to...
Oh, what happened?
I don't know, you tell me, I can hear you fine
Oh, I've got these headphones
You've got the headphones plugged into something else
Yeah, that's why you can't hear yourself, sir
He says the sound is still there, but it's not as bad
The commercial was fine, but there's a little slur on the talking
And a low volume click sound
I don't know
I can't even get the audio to work on my lap
We'll have to go back, but Russell says it sounds good in his end
So I don't know
And we haven't heard from your lovely wife who's a British descent yet
So...
So that's your cast for Dancing with the Stars
premiering two weeks from tomorrow
If you're interested in such things
And I've got...
Oh!
What?
Derek has joined us in the chat room
The pastor?
The pastor has joined us, sir
I've been trying to get a hold of you for a couple of weeks
But you have disappeared on Facebook
I've got a couple of songs I want you to listen to
to see if you can find karaoke versions of
for your next karaoke venture
And I think Chad knows what I'm talking about
A rest of the development season four
debuts within the next couple of months
And I know you are stoked
Oh, I love this show
I love this show
And it's not going to be a weekly thing
They roll on them all at one time
And playing a rival magician to Job
on a rest of the development
played by Amy Polar's ex-husband
will be Ben Stillert
I'm on board
I can't believe they got him with this
But you know what?
You've never watched a rest of the development
So you really don't know the star power
that thing has had
But it's not
Can you be careful?
Because you know who the narrator is on that show
Who the what?
Who narrates the show
Who narrates it?
I don't know who had a narrator
Ron Howard
Oh, that's Ryan
Because he's executive producer
Oh, and tomorrow night's episode of Dallas
is the farewell to J.R.'s episode
Yeah, I saw that on you
Thank you for listening to that, Russell
Again, we've got the live chat room up and running
Get in the room, give us your opinions
Let us know how you're doing
I appreciate every member of the empire
And if you're not a registered user on you stream
You need to be, it doesn't cost you anything
Join our crowd
Another show that Chad's very on board
With apparently American Horror Story season 3
will feature one Kathy Bates
I am stoked
Is something about Kathy Bates and creepy things
I mean, she won an Oscar for one
Yes, but
I just want to see her with regular work again
But we don't, but we also don't know what this thing's going to be
I know she's going to be the arch rival to whatever
Jessica Lang
Right
Jessica Lang wants to play
For people that are fans of the X Factor
Rejoice that Chloe Kardashian is no longer the co-host
I like her
I saw some of the footage of her from that show
She's bad
But overall, she's my favorite Kardashian
Because if I'm allowed to have something
Did you see the picture that somebody's been posting on Facebook?
I guess not
A pregnant Kim
And she's wearing a dress at the front of its white
And the black at the back of its black
And it's side by side with a killer whale jumping up there
And for someone who's supposed to be a fashion magnate
I'm no fashionista
That was a bad choice
That's all I'm saying
Almost as bad as her choice of baby daddies
But you know
Don't get me started there sir
Um
This next
Like this
You're gonna hate me for this choice of music for this next story
But I had to do something
Really?
Really?
It had honey and boo in it
So it just
We couldn't play dueling banjos
You're gonna have dueling banjos sir
Mama June from Honey Boo Boo says she will not let her daughters become the Kardashians
Because God forbid you upgrade
What? Really?
God forbid you upgraded this life
Oh my God
But you know what, here's another thing
You heard about the slap on the wrist
That family got this week, didn't you?
No
Apparently they were contacted by the Girl Scouts
Apparently Honey Boo Boo was selling Girl Scout cookies on her Facebook page
Which is number one a violation of Facebook's policies
This is true
Number two
They weren't even hers
They she was selling them for a friend
Because it's also a violation of Girl Scout policy
Because Girl Scouts for the cookies they say you cannot sell them online
Because the purpose of the girls selling the Girl Scout cookies is to teach them certain lessons about commerce and the way interpersonal skills
Which actually answers the question I had last week because one of my one of my colleagues
Her granddaughter is selling Girl Scout cookies and I asked her have you thought about setting up a web portal
And she goes you know what I never thought of it well now I know she can't so I gotta go tell her tomorrow don't do that
Wow
But I think it's I think it's a brilliant move
Just to say you can't do it there
They're teaching them commerce just not e-commerce apparently
Just look how mama June
You know she turned down dancing with the stars
Because apparently she's lost like 75 pounds or something
Oh so she's down to 6,000 pounds
Yeah she just she looks like a ring finger not a thumb
Yeah she turned on the offer because they were gonna expect her to pay for the reinforcement of the dance floor
One of my favorite little bits they do on the soup was when they show the clip of her sneezing
And it's like her entire face just engulfs itself
Oh please let's get this next story
Please please please please
I can't wait to talk about this
And I can't wait to hear what you use but theme music
Okay
Yeah
It's only this song I have
Last week on this show we talked about
Morrissey wanting the Staples Center in LA
Telling them that they had to close their McDonald's
So the his show at the Staples Center can go vegan
And the Staples Center went
No
Did he go ahead and play?
I don't know
I would assume so
Not necessarily because he's been shooting everybody else down that doesn't acquiesce his stupid request
And you know how much sleep the Staples Center is gonna lose
No I would hope it would lose a lick of it
Well he's also booked to be on Jimmy Kimmel live this past week but this is great
He's booked on the same show as the guys from Duck Dynasty
So Morrissey says he's not gonna play Kimmel because of those guys
Because he refers to them as animal serial killers
Now that episode of Kimmel
aired the same night as the season premiere of Duck Dynasty
Which by the way had 8.6 million viewers
Which is an all-time record for A&E
So let that settle in first
My wife loves this show
The lovely and talented Mrs Irvin loves this show
It's soup fodder for me
That's all it is
I just can't believe it's on A&E
Just like I can't believe any boo boo's on the learning channel
So Kimmel in his monologue that night says
And I've got this all written down
While I respect his stance on this I really do
There's a very good reason why I didn't dump the Duck Dynasty guys for Morrissey's
And that's because they have guns
And he keeps finding new ways to depress us
Which I thought was great
It make light of it embrace the bit
Roll, right
Morrissey's response
He being Kimmel
Found time to jokingly promote gun ownership
Hugely amusing for the parents at Sandy Hook
No doubt
So we're gonna make this about people at Sandy Hook
He also promoted his special guests Duck Dynasty
Because apparently that's their name
Who killed beings for fun
None of the above issues are of course as important as Jimmy Kimmel himself
Who has finally revealed his show to have an overwhelming loss of meaning
To tune in and relive the intellectual fog of the 1950s
Now Kimmel after this goes to Twitter
Note to Morrissey
If you have more dumb statements to make
I invite you to make them where I do on my show
And then he tweets a link to Morrissey's album cover for his 2004 album
You are the quarry
Which featured him wielding a machine gun
Back at you punk
Yeah
So then Morrissey makes some snarky remark
And then decides he's gonna start taking pot shots at Paul McCartney
Right
Because he's 90
He needs to give back his knighthood
Because he needs to be anti the monarchy
The monarchy doesn't do anything
What are you worried about your moron?
What?
Your relevance ended in 1993
And that's about giving you a couple of years
Why should McCartney rebel against the monarchy?
Because Morrissey's got a bug up his bum
That's the dumbest thing I've ever...
Well I can't say ever
And somewhere Paul McCartney is quoting
Taking a Bono quote out of context
100
200
Billion
Yeah
Last time I checked he was a beetle
And you were a smith
Like even just saying that not even know what that means
You can tell there is a
Social class difference
You know, as Barris Decentral's
You are Morrissey
He is Paul McCartney
Your social relevance was
Oh my god
I can't even remember the last time he did anything
You said 93
And I said I'm not even giving him a couple of years
Because I told you that when I was in college
My college roommate
Loved the smiths
And loved petcha boys
That's all he paid his radio
All the time
So I already had a disdain for this man
Back then
Ridiculous
You know, and you talk about just
Can you do a happy song?
No
No
Everything is a bus
And everything
And then I will yodel when I sing it
So it sounds like it has
You go pound sand, Morrissey
That's not even a real name
The only problem is it's making us talk about him
So let's move on to the next topic
We've given him too much airtime
From a guy that shouldn't get airtime
Do a guy that in my opinion doesn't get enough airtime
Anthony Edwards
Viacom deals to his show zero hour
That gets pulled from ABC after three episodes
Shows have been getting killed off left and right here lately
And you know what?
Here's the sad part for me
I didn't know it premiered
Like I knew it was coming
Like I knew the show was coming
I had no idea much less that it had been on for three weeks
What is this?
It's basically something about the Nazis
And trying to, it's like time travels involved
Is it?
Don't talk about the honeymoon things
It's 8.6 million viewers
It's the new version of Beverly Hills
You're right
Don't insult Beverly Hills
Leave Buddy Epson alone
I felt bad for the dude
I mean the show didn't do it now
There are other show premieres tonight
Red Window
But apparently they basically give away everything in the trailer
Red Window
I thought it was Red Widow
Maybe it was Widow
It was like a playoff of Black Widow
It's something about her being a mob wife for something
Apparently her husband gets gunned down
And he owed an enormous debt to this drug lord
And now she's got to go to work for the drug lord to pay off his debt
So it's a mob doctor
It does ABC's version of mob doctor
From what I understand the girl that seal is currently dating is attached to this show
Is attached to Red Widow
I'd also want to say speaking of things premiering tonight
If you are interested in such thing
The 10-part series that the history channel is doing on the Bible begins tonight
Is that tonight?
I saw the preview point
It looks good
I didn't see that
Oh
I'm drawing a blank
Mark what's his name
You see how prepared we are for this show tonight?
The first 30 minutes is completely
This is a classic example of having the wheel shot off
Oh the DVR set
I'm very much excited about this
What is that guy's name
That's gonna drive me nuts
We hear this now sound awesome
Burnett
You're gonna have to turn the volume down on this
I know I keep forgetting
But you know it's now become a bit
And the CW is bringing back whose line is it anyway this summer?
They announced this week on Twitter
It will be hosted by former soup host Aisha Tyler
And again
Who does a great podcast if you have not heard her podcasts
It's got to be better than this one
Colin mockery Ryan Stiles and Wayne Brady
Will be in every episode with a rotating fourth chair
Can we sue for gimmick infringement?
I just don't think we can
Okay
But as long as they had those three I am all over this
I love this show
I just wish
Oh thank you Russell giving us kind words of encouragement
I'm just not a huge Wayne Brady fan
I'm not a huge Wayne Brady fan
But the British version of this
Which is where Stiles and mockery come from
When I was in college I watched it every day on Comedy Central
Every day every day
The Mike McShane who ended up playing Friar Tuck
And Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
Amazing
Josie what the heck was her last name
I can't remember any of the girls that was on that show
We can't remember last names tonight the same as
I just last names are overrated
I just remember Ryan Stiles is constantly getting kicked in the car
He would draw a card and say oh really
And I love that
Jason was a great host
Yeah on that show because he always ended
This is Clive Anderson saying this is Clive Anderson saying good night
Good night
I love that
So let's move on and do a little NBA talk
Because we are your one stop shop
We're all things sports and entertainment
Since our first two segments took 45 minutes
Technically not
Mike Shoshewski says he will not return to coach team USA
After seven years
This guy can do anything and I'm cool
Because he's coach K
You know I'm saying like I'm good with it
So that begs the question
Who coaches him
Pop of it
Because it had to be an active coach
Because two of them come to my mind
Shut up now
He says Don says it's still clicking though it's his head nod
I don't know I don't know
We can't hear anything it's got to be something coming from somewhere else
I don't know I'm very confused by this
I'm very confused by this
Granted confusion is not an abnormal state for me
Let's not get it twisted
That's where your mail goes
Yeah
I'm glad you brought
Because we're going to talk about the US mail
Coming up later in the show
I don't know if you've heard this story
But it's going to be during tech talk
It's a very interesting concept
That's called a tease
But I don't I mean who would you want to coach it
Commit them to do it and come out of their retirement
Does N master would be either
Um does N master
Yeah does N master
Phil Jackson or Riley
Riley's got so many things he's got going on with the heat right now
Because he's still in the front office there
I don't know if Phil could commit to it
Phil's really like being he really likes being retired
I'm just saying
Well I mean that that puts him on a on a platform to be
You know
Underneath a huge spotlight for a very brief moment in time
And have a and have an incredibly huge cultural
Um impact what
Oh that's your laughing because it made a noise again
I can't win for losing today
Tony Parker for these the San Antonio Spurs
Up to a month with an ankle spray
You know when you're when you're 74 years old
You're more prone to injury
I'm just saying
So it's frog legs in it
Still getting it done
Still getting it done I'm just saying
Magic Johnson has offered LeBron James
One million dollars
To participate in next year's slam dunk contest
Because apparently
That's all they're doing in heat and warm-ups anyway
Is there just these dude he's pointing off these amazing dunks
Which are better than anything that's happened
In the last three years in the dunk contest
And LeBron needs one million dollars from Magic Johnson
I just wanted to bring that so I could just go
Oh LeBron
I got a million dollars
Are you doing a dunk contest
Never gets old
No never gets old
To us anyway
Everybody else are like
One of my favorite stories about that
I don't know if you were ever listening
It was on Bob and Tom
Oh yeah you told people
He was like
It's like a 10 year old bit
I totally forgotten about it
And I guess you guys have been playing it
And people were coming up to me and airport was going
Oh, Craig
And he was like
I didn't even know what they were talking about
I was going to do the show
I made the reason
And you know what they played the other day
Because you know how they play classic bits all the time
Let's get to your current standings
In the Eastern Conference
Atlantic and the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division
I did say that right
The Raptors still 14 games out
But they're 14 games under 500
Let's do the map there
Huh
I mean if I did
Yeah they're 14 games under 500
And they're 14 games out of first place
Philadelphia is a game and a half better than them
Boston
Barely over 531 and 27
They're five games back
Brooklyn now three games behind the Knicks
And by the way
Toronto's lost their last four straight
In the Central Division
The Cleveland Cavaliers
17 games out
19 games under 500
So they're almost
That they lose one more game
They have half as many wins as they have lost
Detroit 15 games back
Middle walking middle of the pack
The Bulls are now three games behind the Pacers
What is going on with the Pacers
They just wake up all of a sudden
And and
Chicago is saying that Derek Roses return
Is going to be
Contingent upon
How well the Bulls are doing
That they don't
If they don't think they're going to be able to make the playoffs
And and have a decent shot
They may just hold until next year
And not take the risk
Wow
In the Southeast Division
The Charlotte Bobcats
Close closing in
On doubling their win total from my share
They are currently 13 and 45
They are 30 and a half games
But when you're in that division
If you know what I mean
Or Lando
Is two games better than them
Middle of the pack
The the Wizards 25 games back
And Lando now 10 games back
On the heat
Oh, who by the way
Or have won 14 straight
Since February 1st
The Miami Heat is 14 and one
God
Plan ball
Sir, somebody put on his own twitter
Somebody puts it a
You know what, a lot of people made fun of LeBron
For the not five, not six, not seven
Out
In the Pacific
To actually a western comments
To the Pacific Division
First, Sacramento
Who is 20 and 40
So congratulations to the kings
By the way, there is a group of people
That are now trying to buy the kings
From the people that bought it
From the Maloof's to try to keep them in Sacramento
And build a new arena
Are the Maloof just out of basketball
All together now?
Phoenix 21 games back
The Lakers now 12 and a half back
In the division, Golden State
Is nine games behind the Clippers
The Clippers are running away with this thing
Do it, do it
Russell talks about Rick Barnes' coach in the USA
I'm on board with that, I like him
In the Northwest Division, Minnesota
20 and 36 are 21 and a half back
Portland is six games better than them
Utah, 11 back Denver
Now 5 and a half games behind
The Oklahoma City Thunder
That thing's going to own this conference
For at least two or three more years
And in the Southwest Divisions
The New Orleans, Pelicans
Are 25 games back
And Sir, they are only six games
Worse than your Dallas Mavericks
Houston
Houston is five games
Better than the Mavericks, sir
You need to make some phone calls
No, no, it's out of my hands
And right now Memphis is six and a half back
If San Antonio
San Antonio is just their 26 and 10 in the conference
But what have we seen in the last few years
We always wonder what happens
Why are they doing this? Why are they?
And but they can't finish
And when you've got a team like the Oklahoma City Thunder
In your conference
You better get some blood in their brother
Because I'm telling you
They are playing basketball now
And that's what I have to say about that
Don't forget to join us
We are four weeks away
India 29
We'll be live at Fox and Hound
We've had a couple of great ideas come our way
This week that we're going to look at
I don't know
The one Brandon sent me
If we can pull this off
Brandon texted me earlier this week
And talked asked about a
Clubhouse Harlem Shake video
And I think it would be genius
With everybody dressed up as their favorite wrestler
Oh dear God
That would be awesome
But make sure you join us
The show will be at five o'clock
Central that day because the paper you just started six
Make sure you join us five dollars
Get you in the door
It's WrestleMania man
If you missed last year's WrestleMania
Don't be the guy that has to hear about it
The next day
Trust me
I were probably going to get there two or three
Just so that we can get set up
In time
Because I'm going to tell you something
Just
Let's do some music talk
I know we have POI next, don't we
And I haven't come up with one yet
That would help if you did
POI stands for person of interest
It is a
Section we do on this show
A segment we do on this show
Where we pick a
Person or an entity
And we debate their greatness or lack there
Oh
And you have nothing to do
My gun
No, I thought I did
No, remember we did the uh
Big announcement
From Don
Who was our correspondent in the field last week
At a big award show party
We've got some promo stuff from the
Rocks new movie snitch to give away
Nice
At the radio on the live show
Like we've got he's got a shirt
And other things that we can give away
In our trivia contest, I'm going to have to
Game around here somewhere
Let's define that
You used to have like a calendar or
Something like a best calendar
That was years ago
I don't keep those
But yeah, thank you Don for that
And we're going to talk more with Don
He and I are going to try to get together
Sometime this week because some things
I want to talk about on that front
You know, we can almost use
Ah, not only is there research
Huh?
You know what?
I just saw someone on the TV in the studio
And we can talk about it
It may not be a large discussion
Oh, he also has a
Ted poster and a finding Nemo movie poster
Give away
Is a big market big time sir
I'm going to have to wrestle somebody for that finding Nemo poster
In your opinion
Oh yeah, when Ferrell was
They just showed Will Ferrell acting like the security guard
The Lakers game
Shack actually did a bit with him where he cuffed Shack
Well, he's
But I want to talk about
In your opinion
And this may be
Oh wow
And a Wolverines from red Dawn shirt
He got some swag last week
Wow, man
Well, Dawn sir
In your opinion
How close should you be able to sit
To a playing surface at a sports event
Well, let's see
Relative to what you're paying?
No, just in general
All things being equal
You should be
At least
Ten yards out of harm's way
From player contact
Kind of like the NFL currently is
Yes
I agree because I watch a lot of these things
You know, of course sports nation has their
Gears of February on right now on the espn news
And
They talk about you know the guy that got hit
With the uh
With the basketball
By the way, don't get it happening
Oh yes it is
Or the young lady who
Tripped the end of tripping the player
Because she was taking the mayor's order at court side
You know who I really think does it right
Who
And this is going to sound really weird
Uh, Jules says she's not getting any sound
I think we're fine
We're broadcasting
But hey, you know what, real quick like
Dawn, I'll take you up on that
I live honey, booboo and horn swagger
Is that the new dance, the horn swagger
He said I live, so okay
I'm not compromising myself
And this is going to sound really weird but who I think does it right
It's tennis
Yeah, you can't get much farther away from it
It's at least like you said out of harm's way
Yeah
Um
I just, especially at basketball games
Hockey
Yes, you've got the glass but how often a year do we see the glass shatter
And ironic that you mentioned tennis because it seems like more often than not as the tennis players
That get hurt
Yeah, exactly
What was it? Monica Sella's got stabbed
Was it Monica Sella?
I mean
I worry about sometimes
People getting that close because
Because it's just
First of all, if you got that kind of money to spend on tickets, give it a charity
Well, unless you want to give them to me
And you call me charity if you want
To me, it's not so much the
Um, the spectators that I always cringe when I watch
Football and Basketball games
It's all these schnooks that are right there at the
And that's what I'm saying
And I'm like
And there are a lot of people that really don't need to be there
Um
It's almost like they're right there on the front lines of a battle zone
I'm like, why would you
And for one second, why would you even be remotely
And put yourself in a position where you're not completely focused on what's going on in front of you
The NFL for the
For the most part I think gets it right now
Cowboys stadium with the luxury boxes that are field level
Yeah
A little iffy for me
Yeah, um
Because somebody's going to get their head taken off by a parent pass
Plus they're sunken into the ground too
So you could, you know, somebody could
Scrape something into your face
Yeah, I just think that
Phantom is a very important thing
But I don't need to be able to be able to flick something out of
Player and have it hit them
What is he talking about?
We talked about uh
The new black chair
I haven't tried the new that the meal he gave me Jen liked in a lot
I just haven't been home
He's got a couple of weeks at the job of it
Is this the uh
The inner the energy
Yeah, no, no, there's another one
It's like, um, there's a black cherry raspberry somewhere
We're talking about a couple of weeks ago when Dom was here
I don't think it's black chair
I think it's like, I think it's berry
I don't think it's actually chair
I don't think you're something out
But uh, I just, I think that
Basketball especially
There because there's no berry
Yeah, and especially in college basketball where it's become
Uh
Customary when you beat a big team to rush the court
Yeah, and Coach K had some very very big opinions on that this week
And apparently got into a verbal altercation after a
I can't remember who was that beat them
But they stormed the court and security was very very slow
Players were still on the bench
Wow
And security was very very slow getting to them
I just think especially in basketball we need to have a better barrier between the fans and the players
And like, you've got these like sports illustrated photographers that sit there with their legs outstretched
I got four words for you
Malice at the palace
If you remember what happened in a Detroit game about 10 years ago
So I watched that when it happened live
Tell me what happened if it didn't happen?
No, this is Germano Niel jumping up in the stands, taking the swing of the guy that beat fight that broke out
Oh yeah, I watched that live because I worked at a local sports bar at the time
I just remember Dennis Rodman tripping over a
Over a cameraman and kicking him once he was once he had fallen down and the camera was like
What are you doing on my feet? You're affecting the field of play
I mean everybody kind of came down on Rob and I'm like
Rob, it's got a point
I agree with you
Hit your legs out the way if you if that's the best you can do
And you're going to be you're going to become a hazard to these players where they depend on this
Their their mobility for their livelihood you turn an ankle your career is over
Or could be I mean I know that
Rodman is not going to get a whole heck of a lot of sympathy after he opened his mouth this past week about
Kim John's son you know but
Yeah, but his brother mentally ill
That's a letterman joke I can't take credit for that
But but now he's saying that that un wants Obama to give him a call
Yeah, I'm sure he does
But you know, I know the people are going to be lined up to feel sorry for him as he's now got a friend for life
Yeah, of course he does
It's called his therapist
I would never put Dennis Rodman in diplomatic mission
Like something I want to say was the guys on rage on our local sports
And actually no it was the morning show it was a new school I think
And they're like if it was anybody with any sort of cultural significance now
Then maybe if it was Jordan maybe that situation was terrible
But Rodman's been out of the public eye and the public conscience is for a decade
Nobody came and we're showing right now we're showing you know new Rochelle defeating mountain Vernon
On a second last second buzzer beater. It looks like it looks yeah, it's a double. I think a fan storming the court
I just think it's a bad idea. I agree
It scares me every time that happens
I was going to take a son nut bag to have a pen knife in his pocket and come up and shank
Well, they had a kid that was in a wheelchair that almost got trampled about a month ago
And luckily you know somebody helped him fit that's pitiful
Let's move on do a little bit of music talk
As we start with a we have a couple of Viacone Dioces in the music industry this week
One of them was one of them with huge local connections
But isn't this the second person from this group in the last two weeks?
Thanks so
Because we played pop out of one was a run stone last week
For for Damon's adherence
And then this past week we have Richard Allen Street
Remember the temptations from 1971 to 1993 passes away
He was actually they found him because he was in a in a
Temptations predecessor group called Otis Williams in the distance
He was also part of an act called the monitors
And then became a part of the temptations
There are certain groups that as long as you have the vocal right
Because to me the temptations can be if you got the right person now that's a group that can live on forever
Yeah and it pretty much has music is timeless
Go to go to the Wikipedia page from the temptations
I just take people that are out there listening and you look at the
Look at the members that were listed former current whatever it's a mile long
There's like a ton of credited performers connected to the temptations as vocalists
There's like 1520 names there
And I still go see no matter who the person I was
Yeah
If you got the vocal right I'm in because again this music is timeless
And music is going to play a very large part in tonight's list
On beat
I just man
What was it you know you quoted Indiana Jones and the other day was
We're getting to the age where God starts to stop giving and starts taking away
Right
And it's that whole recognition of your own mortality in the circle of life and that kind of a thing
Yeah
It's this is sad to me and also a local legend
Here in the Dallas Fort Worth area
Huge local life
As at the age of 78 Van Cleaver passes away
He also
The main thing one of the things he's over at the age of 23
He won the international Cheykovsky piano competition in Moscow
This guy was that happens once every four years
This guy's like a musical diplomatic ambassador
He has played for royalty and every US president from Eisenhower through Obama
Unbelievable
He was also the first classical recording to have an album sell more than one million copies
Put that in your pipe and smoke it
I mean if you if you really want to know Van Cleaver just go look it up
Yeah
Like if you ever want to have your mind melted by a dude playing on piano
This is the guy
Yes it is
It's just
You got to make a piano dance
He really really can and
There's the words words don't exist
You know
Great song choice by the way
Oh just you can't make a bad choice with the temptations sir
You just can't
This is pretty much at the top of my list too
They played one of the ones that B&C have been drilling this week because of the temptations
Is a
Ain't no woman like the one I got
Which is one of the greatest songs
And I always forget that's the temptations
But they were all like
I'm Larry
I'm a passie
And the first time I heard that song
The first person I thought of when I heard Larry
I'm like no no no no no no no
And of course references Larry Graham
Speaking of Graham Graham being crackers crackers being food
Don't forget Thursday sir
The cool Ranch Doritos Lucas
Yeah, I have you seen the commercial
I have not
I can't remember I don't watch commercials
Don if you can refresh my memory here if you've seen it
It's a guy sitting at a bus stop and it's raining
And he's trying to eat a taco
And he's got a bag of Chorich Doritos and he's trying to shove it into the taco so he can get the Chorich flavor and a bus comes by and splashes it out of his hand and he's like all sad and oppressed and he looks on the side of the bus and it says Chorich Locos Tacos 3713 and he's like he falls to his knees and starts weeping and it's really melodramatic but it's really funny.
Okay one more sad story before we get on to the good stuff.
If you know Anastasia it's who you're here in the background right now, first of gorgeous woman.
Absolutely beautiful, great voice.
She has to cancel the rest of her current tour because they have a resurgence of breast cancer.
And this is her second fight with breast cancer as she was diagnosed 10 years ago.
Has it been that long?
And apparently Russell saying Toby Key's bass player was killing the car accident.
Oh my god.
Checked golf.
But I mean if you've never heard Anastasia stuff go listen it's Anastasia with a C, not an S.
Yes.
Great she's got a gorgeous, she's got kind of a, if you can hear what's going on the background, it's kind of Taylor Danish.
And you know I'm a huge Taylor Dane fan.
Oh that's right you are.
I love her.
And looking at this girl you wouldn't expect this voice to come out of her.
She's bad to the bone dude.
So we want to wish her the best and hopefully she'll be a two time defeater of breast cancer.
Good luck girl.
Let's have.
Oh you know I didn't cue this next song I'll give you one second.
It's a great song too.
Okay so I got to play this song as you talk about this next.
I want you to, you know the song you love this song and I'm going to play the very beginning of this so you can hear it.
Now this is a story all about how my life got when it's turned upside down and I'd like to take a man and just sit right there.
I tell you how it became the prince of a town called Bella.
Okay I want you guys to listen.
You guys know the song sing along this next part.
It's very important.
Oh hold on I just got to go through the instrumental twice because this is the three minute version of it.
Here it comes.
Okay let me rewind this so you can hear it again I want you to hear it again.
Okay one more time just so we can all remember.
Okay so date line Ambridge Pennsylvania.
A young man by the name of Travis Clawson.
I guess the school had to call his cell phone for some reason.
He had a doctor's appointment and I think the doctor's office was calling his cell phone to confirm the appointment time.
So he has this song on his voicemail greeting and instead of hearing what everybody else on the planet knows that shooting some b-ball outside of the school.
The receptionist hears shooting someone or shooting some people outside of the school which then causes the school to go in lockdown.
The cops show up and haul this kid off.
Oh no no no it's not just the school.
Oh really that come district.
I just run it was just the school.
The whole district wanted to lock down.
So it gets cleared up everything's okay but now his family is hiring an attorney.
I didn't know about that.
Yes his family is hired an attorney.
Here's what you do you come out you go you know what a mistake was made.
We're not real hip to the kids with the clothes in the hair even though it's 20 years ago.
Yeah listening to the 1890s show.
But do you need a lawyer involved in this deal.
You expunge it from his record.
Everybody has a few laughs.
Let's have a beer and move on.
But I don't you know I can kind of see both sides of this.
This kid got put through H.E. double hockey sticks got dragged down to the police station and cups.
I'm like because of my answer machine message and y'all didn't get the right.
And first of all people have music on their instruments so I'm like crap anyway.
Yeah.
There's no bass in it.
Oh wow Don Don used to live in Ambrich.
His step-grandmother still lives up there as well.
Right now.
So you might be able to get some insight on that next time we see him.
By the way I pulled up the the Cool Ranch Taco Bell commercial.
You know what they've been doing with the.
Was this Spanish thing?
Yes.
What's this for?
This is the you know what's the song.
It's hello.
And that's what it's called.
The commercial.
The commercial is called Ola.
Dude you got to pull this.
I will do that after the show.
It's almost worth it.
Because I'm in on anything.
Why don't you know that?
You almost have to almost want you to pull this up on the air so they can hear it.
No.
I gotta see it.
I gotta see it.
Also Ultra Bridge is going to have a new album in September.
They have started recording.
New albums releases this week.
This guy.
Boss Skags.
Wow.
Returns with an album called Memphis.
I like this song a lot.
Now if you look at his outfit on the cover of this hits album you can tell when it was made.
Because it's a light.
It's like a light flamingo pink jacket with a black t-shirt underneath it.
Oh yeah.
Hello 80s.
Now but this song was actually 76.
But the hits album came out these.
Luke Bryan for Fans of Country Music.
Spring Break.
Here at a party.
Because that's why Jesus should be wearing a tuxedo t-shirt because it says I'm formal but I'm here at a party.
I'll shoot you in the face.
Sunvolt.
Who?
It's one of the groups that the kids at the close in the hair like.
And you know, really this is Honky Tom?
I don't know for years.
I thought this was a Billy Joel song.
Really?
I swear to God.
I swear.
I thought it would.
No, I thought it was an Elk Johnson.
I was gonna say.
Yeah.
Drolls are back.
And then a new album from these guys.
It's the only song I have by them.
But they also played a role in a Tiny Tooms.
There are two roles in a Tiny Tooms episode for my favorites.
They might be Giants.
It releases Nanobots.
Not literally, but the name of the album is Nanobots.
Didn't they do that when I might walk by run?
No, that's the Proclaimers.
And they broke up before that song even became a hit.
What?
They had a radio hit, though.
But they had a...
If you remember the Tiny Tooms music television episode.
Particle man.
Particle man.
That's them.
And they had another one.
Istanbul, not Constantinople.
It's also...
Oh, that's them!
Okay, that's what I'm thinking.
That's what I'm thinking.
Istanbul, not Constantinople.
No, you can't go back to Constantinople.
And they do a lot of kids stuff, too.
Like they do...
They did a whole album of just like...
Educational songs for kids about stuff like math and science.
Now they're biggest...
I get you call it their biggest hit.
Because it's the only song I've ever seen for karaoke by them.
It's not called Birdhouse in your soul.
That would be a good song.
See, to me, I still think about the coolest animated theme song
done by popular recording artists would be like...
Oh, the flaming lips of Pomp Jones doing the duck Dodgers theme.
That is true.
I will not debate that.
I will not debate that.

Yes, that Rob Urban that has spelled ERVIN.
I am at Chad in PG69.
Sean Apaka won the interest.
I love the fact that she was doing her best surely bassy right there at the end of that thing.
With the heavy fisted...
Iron fisted...
Gold finger!
Boy, that woman rocked...
Well, she did well at the Oscars with that.
That's what I'm saying.
Well, we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Let's combine the two as we talk pro wrestling, which I finally got caught up on today.
But I had raw watch by Wednesday.
I can tell you.
So at how shows right now?
Oh, yeah, Don at D4, 1576.
That's right.
And how shows right now?
CM Punk is facing Kofi Kingston.
Really?
Is that just a moonwalk backwards?
What's going on here?
That's a swat dive.
And we're going to talk about that as we talk about raw.
First of all, we want to give...
We always give credit where credit is due on this show.
Because Lord knows there's not a whole heck of a lot of it that we can take.
But...
We want to say thank you to the Empire.
In case you didn't know raw...
For the 9,000 times they sent it on the show.
Raw was in Dallas this week at the American Airlines Center.
And sometimes all we have to do is ask.
And stuff happens.
We mentioned ad elimination chamber a couple of weeks ago.
That...
With Raw coming to Dallas, we needed somebody with a sign in the crowd.
That...
Not only advertise the show.
But also advertise a little something on this show that we like to call...
Wrestling Logic.
And we got both.
It didn't make it on television, unfortunately.
But we want to thank Steven Zimmerman and his sister for making that happen.
He actually texted me both of us.
Sister had a law, by the way, from what he told us.
Oh, he said he's sister-in-law, yes.
On one side it said wrestling logic.
On the other side it said listen to the clubhouse every Sunday at 6.
Greatly appreciate that.
And I felt like a maroon when I realized who that was.
He was always sitting behind.
Yeah, I was like, oh, that's hurt.
Okay.
And for those of you that if Raw comes to your town, SmackDown comes to your town,
we would love to see signs with a clubhouse on there.
It's gratuitous.
I know.
And it's shameless self-promotion.
By the way, Russell Goblin is rotting raw 72 on Twitter.
Oh, yes.
It's shameless.
And it's completely vain.
But I don't care.
It's kind of neat.
We've got to get a head start on wrestling logic though.
And she did put logic in quotation marks.
Yes.
That's the important part.
Here's my first question.
And Cody and I talked about this the other day.
Cody Hawkins and I.
In the beginning we have the whole Vince Paul thing,
which I don't know if Vince was taking a shot at.
Daniel White or not, because he referred to Paul Heyman as the ultimate fighter.
But possibly I have this fear for WrestleMania.
And my fear is that this thing's going to turn into a tag match of H and Vince versus Heyman and Lesnar.
Oh, God.
Cody disagrees.
He thinks it's going to be, you know, one's going to be in each corner.
Having Vince in your corner is not always a good thing either as history has shown us.
I just can't believe they signed Lesnar to it to another deal.
And he did believe like a stuff big quickly.
I mean,
profusely.
I couldn't believe how much he was.
Am I also the only one that gets nervous every time Lesnar wrestles now?
No, I'm right there with you.
I just, I get this feeling that at some point he's going to snap and forget that he's not in the UFC and try to kill someone.
Yeah.
I mean, really do some serious damage.
Main somebody.
And something else I noticed and I said this to Cody and he said he laughed.
What is it about the random out of nowhere triple H appearance in Dallas?
I was saying that.
What is it about this town?
Because we were, I was there at home coming.
Yep.
You were there at home coming when he returned and was like my birthday present that year.
And turned flare into a 20 minute beat down.
I was so overdue.
Not that I had anything against flare.
I just hated flare playing that character at that time.
And I'm still getting used to short hair triple H.
I think if he's going to be short hair triple H, get rid of the leather jacket.
Because I said I, I, I connect the leather jacket with the hair.
You just, you tell the guy what to do.
I'm just saying.
Besides, remember, I did call hair versus hair matching at summer slam.
Yeah.
Him and, you know.
But I just, you know, I always like having triple H on my TV.
I think this is going to be H is going to have to carry this match.
Oh, yeah.
Even if it's, whether it's a tag match or not, he's still going to have to carry this match.
And somebody knows something the crowd already has the new belt.
Yeah, I saw that must be nice to have 450 bucks of disposable income.
Well, where were they sitting on the front row?
Obviously, they've got disposable it.
It's a valid point.
It's a valid point.
I'm not saying I'm just saying there might be something else that we talked about last week.
We pulled that off.
I'm telling you, man.
It's going to be off.
Your next home of fame inductee when I first heard it.
Because I saw it on Facebook before I watched Draw.
And we're going to talk about that more when we talk about impact.
My first thought was, really?
Because your celebrity inductee this year is Donald Trump.
It makes sense, though.
But the more I thought about it, and that's kind of where I'm going.
He's the only person to have back-to-back WrestleMania.
He's pretty much been on board with Vince almost since day one.
Because he held WrestleMania three and four.
You had to battle the billionaires.
And Vince's hair has never been this.
I just don't want to listen to the dude do a speech.
And they're going to be very along.
And who inducts it?
Get lashedly for one night.
Let lashedly do it.
Or D.V.O.C.
There you go.
Let D.V.O.C. do it.
The million-dollar man inducts the million-dollar Trump.
I just don't see how it's anybody but Vince himself.
But see, Vince kind of shies away from that whole thing.
Because if you really go back and think...
How involved has Vince been in the Hall of Fame?
Not bearing.
Not bearing.
And apparently they are still looking at land in Florida for a physical building.
You know, Don asked the question, Trump's in, before the Freebirds or even Cindy Loper.
Did Cindy Loper didn't go in? Did she? I thought she did.
No, Wendy Richter.
Wendy Richter was the whole thing about that.
And Lou Albano's in.
God rest his soul.
And is controversial now the new vintage?
How many times did they use the word controversial?
I was going to count it on Monday night.
That might be our new bit.
The controversial count.
As even though he's not working heal anymore, thank the Lord.
Cole is still annoying as I'll get out.
I just... I'm so sick of that word.
Stop trying to say your controversial if you're not.
You're PG-13 at best.
And that sonic thing could not have been more forced if they tried it.
I'm like, Jerry, do you honestly think that's the best food for you after your recovery from a heart attack?
And I'm not a fan of Sweet Potatoes anyway, so Sweet Potatoes does nothing for me.
I'm just saying.
Well Charlotte's trying to, she said they're awful.
Now, Cherry Lime made?
I'm a fan.
And he was double fist in those things.
He wanted each hand.
Things your Cole wouldn't get in the squad.
And he didn't on SmackDown either.
And then they're also featuring some kind of a chocolate lava sundae on SmackDown.
Really?
Yeah.
I can't have it anyway.
It's promoting health eating.
Good to see Orton get a win.
Still don't know what you're going to do with him, but it was good to see him get a win.
How weird is that, man?
I mean, this guy was your cover athlete on WWE 12.
Yeah, which was a two years ago now?
Give or take, yeah.
Now, we're going to talk a little bit more about him when we get to SmackDown talk though.
And now, Maddox and Vicky, he is now referring to them as Team Bricky.
I'm done.
I'm out.
I'm out.
Do I treat?
You're done.
Roses, it was multi-lava cake.
That is correct, sir.
That's good eating right there.
Team Bricky.
I'm done with this.
I'm just, and him just talking on top of her all the time.
Somebody that's actually more annoying than Vicky.
Wrap your head around that for a second.
You can't.
It's hard for me to take Swagger, sir.
When him, when Swagger and Colter came out and they were doing cutting the promo from the ramp.
Uh-huh.
And they were wearing those vests.
Can we get one for Swagger that fits?
All I kept thinking is.
Attention passengers, if we start to go down to the plane, best will pop down.
You get it right there.
We are pulled to tab.
And it would play for you for a flotation device.
That's all I could think.
It looks like the teddy bears that you buy at proflowers.com.
It has like a vest on.
But also the scene in Tommy Boy where he pulls the thing and it jumps out.
It looks like one of those.
It's the most ill-fitting garment you could ever put anybody in to.
And didn't we talk about in this show last week that Titus O'Neill was injured?
Was going to be out six months?
He worked raw and smack down this week.
He looked fine to me.
So he was mubbed.
And that whole bit.
Kane with one hand tied around his back, Daniel Bryan.
Now when they did it on Smackdown, when Kane was the one blindfolded.
And the blindfold, Daniel Bryan had put a goat face on it before he put it on.
That was funny.
But other than that, it was out.
So we get to the main event.
I want to spend a couple of minutes talking about the main event on raw Monday night.
First of all, when it's the two-hour 41-minute mark and we start this thing,
I'm going, you're going to give...
See, we've got another segment planned.
Or you're going to let these two dudes go 30 minutes.
The former was not the answer.
These two went 30 minutes.
So as we get into the match, I keep thinking, okay, punks are going to have to carry this thing.
Because we all...
It's well documented.
That scene has got the five moves to do.
So punks are going to have to carry this thing.
And the longer that match went on, I was like,
this is a heck of a match rather than watching right now.
And then punks holds the pile driver.
Which if you know anything about this business,
the pile driver is a banned move unless your name is the Undertaker or Kane.
Yep.
And when he picked up Cena, I was like, oh lord.
Oh lord.
I had Austin...
Oh, and Flashback.
Yes, exactly.
I was like, they'd better have rehearsed the crap out of this thing.
And Don's even saying in that match, CM Punk had the flu when he was working sick.
But...
Unbelievable chemistry in that ranked or in that match.
And then Cena hits a Hurricane Rana.
And you're like, wait a minute.
Who just hit the Hurricane Rana?
I was like, we now have move number six.
Congratulations, you've expanded your repertoire.
And it was a clean win.
Because all I kept thinking is, remember,
we talked about this on the show last week.
All I kept saying was there's going to be Shenanigans.
It's going to be a triple-threaded WrestleMania.
Which I was okay with because Cody and I talked about this at Linky have a night too.
Right.
That...
It's almost a foregone conclusion that Cena's going to win at WrestleMania.
Yes.
There's a very, very little bit of doubt in my mind at this point.
But at least if it was a triple threat,
you'd give me a little bit to play with here.
Right.
Because it could go either way.
But on the other hand, it had to be a clean win.
It almost had to be a clean win.
No Shenanigans, no weapons involved, no outside interference.
So now are we working under the assumption that it's going to be punk under taker?
Because what do you do otherwise?
Because the guy who's neat music that we're hearing in the background is obviously going to be tangling with less.
But I don't think I can deal with taker H3.
Leave that thing right where it is.
Yeah.
And you didn't respond to a text I sent to you the other day.
What's that?
About the streak.
Something to ponder.
People that are part of the streak.
Kane, Edge, Triple H twice, Flare, Sean twice.
Cena is not part of the streak.
Oh, that's right.
That hit me the other day and I was like,
Cena's never necessarily an taker.
And they're going to happen this time either.
Could it be the one that he retires?
Could that be the last one?
Possibly.
Triple H three times.
Yeah, because we keep forgetting about the one that happened early on.
But we're talking two times in a row.
Right.
But I'm just like, that hit me the other day.
I'm like, he's never wrestled the undertaker wrestling.
And wrestles right tomorrow night's old school raw.
Yep.
If undertaker wants to show up tomorrow night's the night.
Because now that you've, now that you've officially closed the book
on punk, Cena, you can open that book.
Because it was a clean win.
There's that.
Because who better to take down a man that calls himself God.
And I think they're in Buffalo tomorrow.
Then somebody that's dead.
So we're going to find out what happens tomorrow.
You'll find out what happens tomorrow.
I'll probably find out Tuesday or Wednesday.
You can call it the immortal versus the immortal.
I cannot believe they're going to work that in with him.
That's twice now.
Your arms are too small to box with God as he talked to the rock.
I was like, really?
You're putting yourself up on good nights, sir.
I am the God of hellfire.
And I bring you.
Let's get to impact.
As you know, if you listen to this show on a regular basis,
you know that there is something, there's a word that annoys me to no end.
And I know what's in the dictionary, but it's still not a word.
And that word is resiliency.
I have found another one.
And Gail Kim said it Thursday night on impact.
She referred to Terran Terrell's referee abilities and her incompetency.
In competency is not a word.
And I don't care if it passed the spell check in my iPad.
It's still not a word.
You're either incompetent.
Or you have competency.
You don't have incompetency.
Don't want to know when Zekor's going to catch it.
I kind of think he has to do it at Mania.
Because if he doesn't do it at Mania.
Isn't that his last chance?
No, he's got one years.
We can't tell July.
Remember, he wanted at money in the bank and they don't do that at WrestleMania.
You have a new exhibition champ and his name is Kenny King?
You're a fan of that guy, ain't you?
I like him, but here's my problem.
And this is something that we referenced in raw talk and I want to get deeper into it now.
Again, no secret.
Okay.
I don't get to watch the shows as they air.
Nobody is worse at spoilers than Dixie Frickin Carter.
I am halfway tempted to unlike her on Facebook.
Because when I'm taking a break and I'm looking at my feed.
She's spoiling every major impact moment as it happens.
So if you wrote DVR, I knew this was going to happen.
That matter anymore.
But I will say this for TNA.
That's three title changes in the last month.
That ain't healthy.
I think it is.
That ain't healthy for that particular.
Is it the same title?
No.
Or is it just multiple titles?
No, tag titles?
No.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
These are the main title changes in the last month and two of them were on the British tour.
I think this is a healthy, healthy thing.
I really thought, and I'll go ahead and get Jumped to Gunna live on Smackdown.
I really thought they were going to finally give the US belt to Miz on Smackdown.
That's two out of three.
You knew it wasn't going to finish in two falls.
Still, that's his arrowhold onto it.
But I just...
It drives me nuts.
that she just she's completely spoilerific. Nobody can tell Dixie what's right and
what's wrong though. Well I can try to be sure to listen to her. But we have the
return of Eric Young. We talked about last week on this show that he's gonna make
his... That's your boy. EY. EY is TNA. He should be the highest paid wrestler in
total nonstop action wrestling. And he wasn't working a goofy bit because they
were revealing the team's release a lockdown which by the way lockdown is one
week from or two weeks from sitting is it one week from today? Yeah it's next
Sunday in San Antonio. In our in our very own steam and is everyone going? Yes he is.
Steam was revealing his team for lethal lockdown and he said and my last
member and then Anderson grabs the mic and goes would you just frickin say it
dude? He goes it's show time because that's your catchphrase but who's your
guy? He goes I said it's show time. He's no that's your catchphrase who's your
freaking guy? And they pull back and there is Eric Young's Nicky Showtime
Eric Young and he's in the he's in the ring with just he's got his hat on
backwards he's got a pair of jeans he's got no shirt on so he wasn't working the
goofy bit he still has the beard but it's not as well as off as it was and he
just commenced a whooping it and I love Eric Young I think he's a great wrestler
I think he's absolutely hilarious the his whole bit with with E with ODB I
think is great but he can go and apparently we had a we had a PD Young
sighting or the PD I'm sorry PD Williams got that I showed you guys the sickest
finisher and wrestler yeah he's doing some indie shows so he is still around
PD Williams Vince sign this guy somebody better sign him we can't get well
last night's the right to save by the way tonight episode is called last night
last names are overrated because we can't seem to get a last name for the show
to save our life tonight technology is our friend and have you ever have you
noticed that face Bubba Ray is a lot less hillbilly than heel Bubba Ray because
when he was working heel when he first became bully Ray and he finally joined
Twitter the greatest day ever as I put something in my Twitter machine well
didn't he used to have a really bad stutter to that was the ECW but now that he's
face he just talked I am tweeting it's cool he's just a lot less hillbilly-ish
when he's like he's face still comes off as I still predict law I still predict the
turn oh yeah I do let's talk oh by the way we had one of the participants in your
gut check match it was a knockouts match was evil lease wasn't she on tough
enough I believe so wasn't she the blonde on tough enough I think so she's a
brunette now Evelies Velez I think it was what she's going by now and I was
like I think she was on tough enough and I think she actually had a contract with
NXT until about two or three weeks ago I V I'm sorry I Y V E L I S E and then she
but she wrestled a young lady who was the niece of the barbarian horrible match very
very slow very wonky I will be surprised if either one of these two gets it gets
a contract next week if that's true we the bit oh yeah she was tough cut from
tough enough to do so if you're living she had an injury yeah that's why I
thought that was and Jules verified it for me as well I was just like wow
made her debut into the ring name Sophia Cortez and an FCW house show in a
six woman tag tag team match all right let's talk smack down speaking of NXT
though Lance storm is gonna be a guest trainer in NXT this week that ought to be
interesting good to see that dude get I like Lance storm even though yes he did
use to dress like a power ranger and he doesn't have a whole heck of a lot of
charisma that dude could go in the ring I'm gonna say it Hall of Famer he's had
Hall of Fame caliber career flat top and all so we had social smack down this
week horrible name and the announcer is going to be live tweeting during the
show so your announcers are live tweeting during a show that was taped three
days earlier now that's comedy although my favorite tweet had to have come from
Caitlin it was during one of the guys matches and she said something about so
and so did a move it didn't capitalize geez do I have to do everything on the
show and Del Rio used the word kaka I thought this was social smack down not
third grade smack down I did he used the word kaka and you know what they kind of
tease something at the end of Smackdown Shamus Orton tag team are you in because
Shamus Shamus had Orton's back when the shield attacked Orton at the end and then
Frenchy hit the the KO punch on Roman Reigns I don't see why not now unless this
is how you're gonna turn ordeal turn on on Shamus but I think that would be a
heck of a tag team the two of them I'd put the belts on them they need to get more
tag teams out there that are but then yeah I didn't need any actual tag teams I
will agree with there currently the Mavericks are losing by 21 to the Rockets
in the third quarter there's a shock and then of course J.R. is gonna come out
and it's like did you not expect to be an Oklahoma and not see J.R. but why are
we treating why why do we have to punk J.R. every time he's on camera now I don't
know I would really like to know what you did to do the Hall of Famer to draw so
much higher he just he just he's a punching bag and then in fear I've I've
actually got to meet the man briefly once it couldn't have been nicer I'd
probably scared the crap out of him because he's trying to you know just kind of
minding us on the business walk into the Oklahoma game and Cody and I are standing
outside the stadium and I see him he's a lot shorter than I thought he'd be
he just walked by I was like Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody Cody he's
like go talk to him like I can't and he kind of nudged me I kind of snapped me
back into place and I just shook his hand I said just want to let you know that's
Don said cold trending with cold said trending worldwide but it was tape show
kind of like Alex Riley trending worldwide but I just treat that man with the
respect he deserves and maybe they are backstage but that doesn't mean anything
on stage that man is a Hall of Famer and should be treated so we had the
debut and I'm gonna I had to say this right hold on
says he will not debut in the ring until they say his name correctly really how
quickly is this thing gonna die you do you won NXT and all you did for a month
was like illustrate bad cliches like crying over spilled milk and now you are
Carlos man of love somebody put on Twitter all glittered up and nowhere to go
funny or all good up and nothing to do or so no so much glitter so little time
so that happened and well you know I'm looking forward to Rotomar night but I
just want to see what they actually do and Don says yeah it's just like
out but I can't even roll my arms right cuz I don't have enough tasty beverage
I guess let us move on and do a little bit of movie talk
why do you start the Jones for Empire Pitball just by hearing this music I enjoyed
that very much so I gotta mention that in tech talk box office numbers for the
weekend out of the top 10 this week warm bodies and beautiful creatures is
already out of the top 10 it is not cleared 19 million dollars on a
60 million dollar budget doesn't shock me at all wow isn't Jeremy irons in
that thing yeah he was also a does it drag it's not so fight point taken 10th
place this weekend dropping from the sixth point spot you know the dark
skies makes a total of 13.4 million dollars the budget on that film was three
and a half million well look at the names involved number nine down four slots
from number five making four and a half million dollars this weekend for a
three-day total of just under 60 million dollars good day to die hard it hasn't
made two-thirds of its budget back done it just people are crushing that film
wow 92 million dollar budget it's it's just that hasn't even cleared 60 number
eight down one slot from number seven making just under six million dollars
which by the way has almost made six times its budget back for silver linings
playbook with that kind of star power and the budget was 21 million dollars
let that sink in and I'm sure there's going to be another resurgence after
Jennifer Lawrence is Oscar dropping down four slots from the three slots for
number four to number seven making six point three million dollars the movie
save haven chick flick extraordinaire oh yeah which has already surpassed its
budget as well it's over doubled its budget 28 million dollar budgets made
almost 60 dropping from third place to sixth place this week with just under
seven million dollars but it has made its budget back 43 million on a 40
million dollar budget for escape from plan earth the animated thing that'll be
that'll be gone out of the top 10 next week down from second to fifth making
seven point seven million dollars for a two-week total of just under 24 and a
half million dollar for snitch which I've heard good things yeah I have
anybody down it new with this week at number four in the top 10 making eight
million dollars the last exorcism part two which would be the last
est exorcism or the last her ex budget on that was only five million nobody's in
it but still the effects alone you think would be more than that third place in
the bronze medal category also knew this week making nine million dollars on a
13 million dollar budget in three days for 21 and over third place its
respectable yeah because you're your core audience I bet that money makes a lot
more money this coming weekend because you'll have a lot of kids on spring break
yeah silver medal last week's box office winner making nine point seven million
dollars for a four-week total of a hundred and seven point five million dollars
for identity thief godly 35 million dollar budget sir again with that star
power that's nothing this needs that and winning the box office this weekend with
20 your your difference between one and two was 21 million dollars as Jack the
giant slayer makes 28 million dollars on a two hundred hundred and a
five-dollar budget yeah this time I'm telling you this is this year's John Carter
Derek breaks first guardian of the galaxy they're saying Stan Lee is going to
do the voice of rocket raccoon in in in in did I mention in oh and by the way
it's it's taking place in kind of a parallel dimension kind of thing so you're
not gonna see a lot of earth if at all but it's guardians of the galaxy and so I'm
good no word on Batista yet although he Batista is going to be in that new
riddock movie I forgot that was you being made they're working on right now they
posted a production still today of him of Vindy Sloan Batista in a fight scene nice
so we've got to figure out we're gonna watch me with the air and fist too so in his
own words Seth McFarlane will not return to host the Oscars I thought he did a
very good job you did not no you and I were texting back and forth I think we
are about what probably 45 minutes yeah a part I didn't get done with nothing
so it's one thirty in the morning yes and it's still been going to our whole thing
because it cut off that like speech halfway through of course and there is
justice in this world because our go wins sorry if we spilled it for you if you
haven't watched it yet if you haven't welcomed a week ago okay he didn't win best
director he wasn't nominated wasn't nominated or nominated for best actor but he
was a producer why don't I wouldn't have nominated him for best actor I mean it's
it's just kind of like you know brave hearted dance with wolves directed it
produced it start in it I think both of the other guys got nominated for their
roles I think Alan Arkin should have won it's not like Alan Arkin a lot of
things great in that movie but when you're in a category with crystal
thoughts you might as well just cash it in and what was he just he he was hilarious
he was probably the most shocked person of the night crystal false I'm like what
are you shocked for dude your better speech his or Daniel Day Lewis's the even
swap or he was gonna play Margaret Thatcher that's kind of a hard one to top she
and Quentin winning for best original screenplay on board that was so great but
I'm sorry personally the only real life for me was the visual effects guy not
letting anybody else talk and talking so long he had to get cut off do you cut
off by the jaws thing I see I it was funny the first time but I think they
should have switched it up and was this the first year that the orchestra was
not in the room weird down the tree to capital records yeah I've never known
that to happen before and there's also saying that there was a rumor that that
Tony Stark might show up in guardians which I'm good with and Don yeah you're
right I'm on the October he had he look this is this is how good of a fact
checker Don Ford is he quoted the week when I said on the October 13th show I
said that Argo would not get nominated and he did and it's true I said it
it's not it wasn't going to be the Oscar darling that I thought the other two
were but I was wrong I was absolutely wrong and I'm I'm glad I was wrong because
Affleck deserved it that would that's my favorite speech of the night even though
we didn't get to hear the whole stinking thing I don't know best director was a
pretty good speech even though he's still probably very upset about it because
he's anglic I'm sorry I stole that from Bob and Tom I stole that from Bob and
Tom I thought it was hilarious what a likable guy he is man but I just can't
forgive him for Hulk but I just I thought overall it was a good show I think that
Jane Fonda needs to chill out the boob song was funny Jane Fonda had a
problem oh she got all bent out of shape about it so I was in a program I'm
about shut up now some of the scenes he quoted probably I wouldn't have
quoted some of those films like Monsters Ball or Silkwood but it was I thought
Shatner could have been not necessary for that that went a lot longer than it
should have the Shatner thing the whole the whole song and dance routine I would
much rather have been able to have seen Affleck speech in the proper runtime
because at that point we were already 30 minutes into the overrun I'm
gonna set it for next hour next year yeah and Adele dominating the world she's
won three awards it's March three huge awards at that if I'm her I'm like is
anyway I can get to a Broadway so just see if I can get a Tony nomination real
quick I'm still really bummed out that the bond cast a simple that made me so
man that would okay I stand correct or I sit corrected that was the biggest
low moment for me was the absolute and utter failure that the bond tribute was
yeah you're telling me how he bury was the best option first of all she was
an easily one of the cheesiest bond films ever one of the worst absolutely one
of the worst now sure we bassy did not have the iron fisted vocal I thought
she did first of all she looks incredible yeah she's she's in her 80s isn't
she 78 she's pushing 80 didn't iron fist it which was nice she was very a lot
smoother than if you go back and listen to the original recording of Gold
finger but none of them none of the six the fact that Connery was actually
interested they had actually got into kind of commit to it but that
Brazeman said he would not do it and Craig wouldn't even the country but I
think Craig could have flown in Rachel vice said we're not even gonna be in the
building Charlie's there I also had a problem with the boobs on because given
the nature of just there's another movie he could have picked besides that one
because two words devil's advocate I mean I'm wondering when they showed her
reaction was that a live reaction or was that a can that was a can reaction
because if you go back and watch as she was wearing a different outfit that's
why I tried to tell Jill she's like she seemed upset I'm like I think all
those reactions were the reaction shots yes those were those were done in
rehearsals yes because if you look every outfit was different from the one
they were actually wearing because at that point what she have already been
backstage to do her dance number with memo to ABC get different people for
the red carpet Christian Chenoweth I wanted to throw something at and I guess
that mystery object the first time they said it they had a mystery object that
they were asking for celebrity giving them clues in the first clue was it has
10,000 parts of like Ruby shoes oh and I was right Russell talks about Jennifer
Lawrence don't feel bad for me did you see the meat did you see the meat my
reposted on that it showed her falling and it's that I offer myself a strip great
he turned lemon into lemonade and of course night you know she trips and who
helps me sneak up but Wolverine you know very meta why try to help her if she was
already back up on her feet I thought the way Miss thing was good Russell
crow said a lot of people said that it didn't really bother me as much I thought
it's a good show overall and was it you that thinks that Catherine Zeta Jones
was lip-syncing I will not the only one I've heard people in the press say the
same thing okay because I'm like am I the only one that's noticed she's got no
microphone on her and some at certain points it didn't look like it matched
and I mean any excuse to have Catherine Zeta Jones on my TV I'm good and I know
you are looking for a nickel plan to revolve or whatever the dream girls thing
I just remember that getting that text for you I'm so I'm done with I'm done with
Jennifer Hudson and I get to deal with her on a weekly basis on you do I don't
watch that I said I get to deal with her on a weekly basis but there was the
joke that that Shatter said about Amy and Tina Tina faces that she doesn't
want to do it but ABC now apparently interested in Jimmy Kimmel a biggest
audience in three years and the highest they've had in 10 years amongst younger
viewers because of Seth probably yeah I thought he was good I think I love the
whole the Lincoln thing or so the other person I really got to Lincoln's mind was
John Wilkes Booth oh 150 years and it's too soon see that's one thing I love
about McFarlane is he knows how to deal with the audience reaction he's very
quick in that manner but I think he went over about as well as Ricky
Jervais did at the Golden Globe and people just dig it better I think it's
better and my daughter is calling me right now she's check a schedule Russell Russell
says Ted two starts filming this month really and Don says there are actually
four pairs of door three shoes from Oz one's in the Smithsonian which is one
which was the pair they had at the Oscars because Chenoweth said because and
halfway was like oh can I have them and and Chenoweth said no the Smithsonian's

right around that same time assuming because why else would you do it then love

soundtrack because isn't body Tyler's hold out for a hero in the soundtrack do no
that's off a footloose sir is it okay yeah so first I was okay is maybe
because it was in lethal weapon two and it's whenever Lori singers doing like
the car but they but they use it in the weapon two holding off for a hero during
when his trailer get shot up that's the there's a trailer for hero Cologne
playing on the TV and that's the song that was in the commercial okay and there's
a bottle of it that gets exploded in the trailer and it goes on it catches on fire
yep Chris Cooper is going to play the green goblin in amazing spider-man

this them one and come back to it a movie called the Wii and I did I put this
on a list just because I read about it and it looks really cool it's basically
the entire movie takes place on the afternoon of the last day of school on a
school bus as the kids are being driven home this is a documentary no or it's
it's scripted but it's kind of about what the kids go through I'm I'm interested
in this looks great and then there's this don't stop believing every man's
journey and it is exactly what you think it is it is a documentary about the
second iteration of journey with the new lead singer and everything wow I am in
on this by the way do you see who the the director of the Wii and the I is no
don't really oh really he's right Tommy Lee Jones speaks no words with
both face like the angry cats well played Jules because you know I love I love
Tar the Angry Cat and I did post a picture on Facebook of a mashup of
Tar the Angry Cat and Jabba the Hut that I think is brilliant just put a

Jarred Betler replace the Jar Butler replace the soccer goalie that goes back to
his hometown and all that that's that okay matter on Christmas time the Miz in
the marine three home front really funny on Smackdown when they showed that
clip they cut back to him and you can see a mouth of the camera that looks pretty
good I'm sure you think so I didn't even see the second one with Mr. Kennedy
Kennedy and Brett the hitman heart the dungeon collection yikes you know anything
about wrestling you know where that's going let's go to Tech Corner this
we're almost on no no we're not on time there were a couple of things we're
going to talk about in tech where it's a couple quick things there's a new
service currently being austere offered in Austin in San Francisco it's called
outbox cost you five bucks a month and what these people do is they will
drive to your house what was that what me oh I think it was me oh is Jeremy
checking in hello to you sir what they'll do is they'll come to your house
and they'll get your mail out of your mailbox and they will scan it and then
they will email it to you is this a server she would use no stupid I mean but
what happens like somebody sends you a check exactly I mean I guess you got
things that you put on the list I'm like look you know there are certain things I
actually need the physical copies up because that's why it's mail to me but no
this is point and Jeremy did want to change your name real quick so I have you
changed your Twitter handle yet no I just I don't know is it that much of a
convenience for me to walk 50 feet to the mailbox seriously come on
somebody tried to but apparently it's doing very well in Austin I'm sure
somebody's gonna try to float this whoever created this is probably gonna be
showing up on Shark Tank in a couple of weeks and hopefully got chewed up and
spit out I just got a whole bunch of really I'm it I tell you what though there's
a there's a tech happening this week that I'm so looking forward to what's that
that would be the Tuesday release of the reboot of Tomb Raider oh is that this
week that is this week
so I had to take a taste of my my tasty beverage and the young lady from
True Blood that's the new Lara Croft how are you how are you doing this game looks
unbelievable
and Facebook is going to unveil their new news feed on Thursday I'm sure it's
gonna take a lot of people off it's the first major change they've done to
decide in two years September 2011 was the last time I make people furious
I don't mind that they change the new mobile version I like and bother me that
much they just look a little get used to just like anything else people hate
change whenever they become creatures of habit
just those of it too a little tizzy
I just love this song it is time for the list because the street light came on
about 15 minutes go where does the time go oh I don't know maybe the first 30
minutes of disposable time so I was thinking the other day and I've already
missed two weeks of this and I apologize if you're following my blog at
urunko b dot blog spot dot com I turned 40 this year so I thought what I do this
year is twice a week on Mondays and Fridays when I can and I apologize that I
haven't been able to lately I liked I'm telling the story of my life via the
soundtrack of my life certain songs that represent certain times of my life
and they have special meaning to me at that time and and again if you want to
follow that it's urunko b dot blog spot dot com I put videos up for the song so
you know what the songs I'm talking about are I have a lot of fun with it but I
was thinking this week and I came up with the top 10 albums that have landmark
importance in my life at certain points and when I told Chad that this week's
list might kind of take him off guard a little bit when he finally read it he had
the exact reaction that I thought he would some of these he probably is
looking at me like I have I couldn't even tell you why this is on the list there's
a couple of weeks probably I couldn't even tell you what this is oh I know what they all
are do you really okay we're going to start with number 10 we go to 1991
that's the only reason I knew what this one was because of this song
Jim Blossom's new miserable experience
this album came out it was my second year of college 1992
it might have been late 91 but this was the first CD that I ever owned that I could
just listen to on a loop over and over and over and over again there's not a
bad song on this whole album in my personal opinion and at whatever I hear
this not necessarily this song with the very first track of this album which is
called lost horizons it takes me back to a very specific point in time and we're
gonna talk about it later this year I have a very good friend who I call my twin
sister and she lived in a city called Boyton Beach and from where I live it's
about a 45 minutes to an hour drive and about once a month I drive up and see
her and spend some time with her and we'd hang out and do fun stuff and I would
always drive home I drive I 95 to get there but driving back I could take A1A
or if you know what A1A is it's literally the road that runs parallel to the
beach yeah because I didn't think it was a real thing but it's a real thing I
would drive A1A all the way back it would take me twice as long minimum but it
was totally worth it driving along seeing all the houses on the beach and just
seeing the beach and I would have the windows down and this album always reminds me
of that time that transit that just driving back and beautiful 74-degree weather
in the springtime you didn't need you didn't need AC you just drove down the
world down the windows in my 1986 Mustang and I think was gone by the time you
met me probably was I drove it out the beige one right oh yeah that's the one
okay that is I still had I still had that yeah I still had BAMO BL version 2.0
wow okay you were probably rockin when we met it spawn and that's and I just
remember listening to that album and I've now owned it twice because I've
scratched one beyond recognition had to rebuy it an amazing album and I think
it's gonna be another another list we'll do later this year of ten albums that
I can give you that I will I can say without a shadow of a doubt not a bad
track on the whole thing that's gonna be a hard list to put together number
two can't debate with you on this one Michael Jackson's thriller this was the
first time for me I was in the fourth grade I all whenever I hear anything off
a thriller again it takes me back to a very specific time our PE teacher who
was amazing his name is mr. Green every Friday he would bring his boom box to
work and he would just play music for us before school during PE during recess
after school and he had one of those boom boxes and I've only seen maybe a
handful of these but it was a boom box that had a record a tire table yeah I
remember and that and you inserted it vertically and shut it like a cassette
door I remember they had those where you brought it from the top and he
or you could clear it on the side and he would play this record constantly and
somehow and I don't know how he must have known somebody he actually before
there was a video for thriller he had that version on vinyl yeah I had that
version on and I was just like what did I've never heard and I saw the
videos like he had she had that for like three or four months yeah and just and
again not a bad song on the whole album I still own it on vinyl to this day and I
always think about when you pulled out the jacket and had the two drawings and
either side one was for the girls mine and one was for thriller it was it's just
one of those that Michael actually drew yeah and if you were of our ilk and of
our age in that time because I joke about how old you are you're not that much
older than me no really let's just put it out there you got me by four years
ish four years and a couple of months but still it's it's one of those albums
that if you grew up in the 80s that had a landmark whether you had loved it
hated it or didn't care it played a role with who you were I went to the
victory tour so it was the it was one of the first concerts that I that I wanted
to go to they've got the concert up to that point it was something that my one
of my parents wanted to see I got dragged to a John Denver concert with the
Starland vocal band opening for them and this and this was the opening
track on that album yep and and for years this was the opening track of
whatever tour he was taking yep great song too I mean I want to be starting
something you couldn't ask for more appropriate song number eight
and I am man enough to say this I'm secure in my own skin and I can say this
I have seen musicals in my time I've seen fan of the opera loved it
phantom was the first musical that I owned on CD not nearly as big of an impact as
this what you're hearing right now is the opening overture from Miss Saigon
have you ever listened to Miss Saigon with her no I think you dig it if you
especially you know the story of it this is actually where Leah Salonga got her
stark yes and she is explained she's moved on exactly also she's a singing
voice and you know who the who basically as Miss Saigon she's crowned the best
lady of the evening right in the brothel and you really have to listen but you
know who who who the who the head of the brothel was in the in this version the
madam no it was a minute it was a mystery was not a matter I know Jonathan
price was involved in this okay was him okay I know my miss Saigon I remember I
was in college and my next-door neighbor who oddly enough co-hosted a radio
show with me in college he was he was still a friend of mine to this day he's on
my Facebook page great guy he had this and I borrowed it he just like dude you
have to listen to this and so I sat down one day and I put my headphones on
and I listened to it all the way through and when you get to the end of it and
it's not really spoiler alert but let's just say it's not the feel good
ending of the year and when I got there I cried like a child the music is
gorgeous the story is riveting it's one of those things where I heard it and I
was just like wow like I just sat there for like 20 minutes after in silence
just like that just happened I mean this is so much and you and I have talked
about this at nauseam about how majority of music today is just product
drove and this is music as true art it tells a story it draws you in it has
emotional impact it makes you feel and I want you to I want you to say I listen to
this all the way through I really do I think you're really true and but have
the lyrics she with you so you can follow along it's you can get online
and try to get as a pdf but it's it's absolute brilliance and this and I've
never seen it live I would love to it comes to town a lot well I'm just saying
the next time it comes to town maybe we can book it because I'm hoping we're
gonna book the Lion King when it comes to town I would like to see that
Jeremy wants to know about the commercials that's a you stream thing it's not
an us thing you stream does that they'll pay commercials every once in a
while number seven and we have to play this track we have to really what's the
name of the track I don't know it's called Hannah Jane oh this is the opening
track from hoodie in the below fishes correct rear view Adam album Adam Adam
1994 took me a long time to get on board with these guys and what if it would for
you wouldn't happen I would I loved it from the first time I heard hold my hand
I was like I don't know what this is but I love it and I bought the album almost
side unseen I only knew hold my hand letter cry hadn't been released yet my favorite
song which was the follow-up single the first time I heard time I had to pull
the car over because I heard the lyric time why do you punish me and it hit me
right right live again beginning to end I lived it with this album in my CD
player for almost two years when he does at the end of the album he actually
does acapella he does a little bit of motherless child and it sounds good and the
very last song on the album it's called goodbye that's one of those songs that
I've heard live and I've heard studio and it's just as good who originally did
motherless job God who hasn't you're going back I couldn't
honestly tell you who originally did it because I've a prince do it and blue my
and it's not a 20's then it and if you know me I'm a big
derriest fan I love Derriest Rucker it's great and he's he's just as cool
alive as you see him in interviews I would love to see him in his current
incarnation the country thing alive because I think I like the country stuff too
wow just he don't post he saw them with toe to what sprocket that'd be a great
shell love toad number six and there's two the next two selections are there
for kind of the same reason but different times in my life
I have anything to do with that in my good I know the next one's got to be Chicago
greatest hits 82 to 89 and I say this specifically because I have always
unashamedly been a Chicago fan I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of some
some could argue they were my first concert but I argue shanana okay I've
claimed this I saw Chicago with satara when I was kid oh wow I also saw them
probably 15 years ago with holla notes at the Starplex nice great show but
when I saw holla notes most of most like three quarters of their set was up
their new album do that play the classics hate that go out there roll out
method of modern love mode roll out adult education roll out I can't go for
that and we're rock solid but I digress this was one of the first times that I
realized the power of music on me personally because I realized that you
could this was where I started to really start to get I started really DJing was
in 89 and the power of the mixtape oh yes where you could give a girl a mixtape
and you're in there well if you if you thought you you know you were right
there on the on the on the cusp being able to take this young lady out and you
gave her a mixtape and it didn't happen you never had a chance to begin with
depending on the contents of said mixtape now this next song is that to the
next level because this was more like high school this next one was college I don't
care who you are I don't care where you come from this you are almost issued if
you if you lived in an urban area in the early 90s by a country mile this is
the greatest album Keith Sweat ever recorded being I'll give all my love to
you who wasn't that said that when they bury him he's gonna have his hands
tucked in the baking position well played sir uh don't said he actually met
Chicago in 2006 they were awesome anywhere to four seasons but this song
specifically done holly I'm saying hey and I'm not ashamed and you've been there
I've done this song on karaoke yeah because I I have no karaoke fear I would
dish song touch this song with a 10-foot pole yeah I ain't scared brother and it's
and what I love about doing this song is watching stuff just stop in the room
with that opening keyboard riff hits if you look they're like they're like trying
to adjust their eyesight because they think maybe the hue is off like when the
first time I think I did practice what you preach are like what's this chunky
white boy up here doing this for third I was like y'all don't know me and this is
another I can't say it's beginning to end on this because there's a couple of
tracks on here that are questionable yeah musically but still the best album he
ever recorded yeah if for no other reason this song this is the last track on the
album and this is the title track right it is indeed we're gonna move on number four
I got no words here my wife if you it is no there's no secret that the
lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin is a huge Beatles fan as is my wife we have seen
Beatles love I had a girl out with the high school assault last night at the
Mirage it is an amazing show my when the opening of that show hit my wife was
already in tears like it's that good but for me this album specifically let it
be and this song it's the first time I heard it I was in the fifth grade my
mom my mom always brought me up around music but for some reason there wasn't a
whole there was a little bit of Beatles in our house but not a ton the first
time I heard this song I was like what is this and how can I get more like this
whole album even though it was the last album released it wasn't the last
album they recorded they recorded Abbey Road first yeah but they recorded it
last but it was released first this and again reinforced by across the
universe I was hoping you say you can get through this section in across the
universe and not be affected on a molecular level you have no soul I will
never forget the first time you showed me that film in this this scene passed by
I looked over and you were gone you were just this scene just wears me down and I
got to I got the opportunity to play a sing at a a tribute concert last year
to a fundraiser concert and we did this song and it took me probably two days
before I can actually there's certain songs that I can sing and and
separate myself from there are two in specific that took me easily a month
before I could get through it with like healthily and that is this song and
there's a song that we sing in the band by side rock prophets that I absolutely
love and we actually did a Kenny and I did a acoustic version of it that we
we took up and then we we took it back down because we weren't and we were kind
it's called the words I would say it's absolutely amazing number three
Phil Collins but seriously this was the very first album I owned digitally the
very first CD I ever bought continue the first two just like the first two tapes
I ever owned for ZZ top after burner and the soundtrack to top gun the very
first two CDs I ever owned were Phil Collins but seriously who I've been a fan of
long as I can remember and the new Jack City soundtrack I know the first CD I
bought Larry Graham's grace it's shut your eye hole now it was the it was a
limited edition in the 10 of the Batman sound oh yeah I remember that I bought
that CD before I had a CD player but you know not still strongest work but
coincidentally enough wasn't he the first artist to go sans vinyl yes wasn't
that's why no jacket required was all about yes it's called no jacket required
because because there was no right album but now it was released on vinyl later but
it was the very first album that was not it was only released on CD and tape you
can't get it on vinyl but it didn't come so much later right but that's why
I'll always if I hear this this probably one of my favorite songs on the
album hanging long enough I think it's a great song father to son I think is too
long there's a couple of tracks that again not his strongest album I would still
go with either face value or no jacket required but this was the first CD that I
ever owned and so his is still another damn paradise it's always been a
shame that's on this album yeah my favorite song of his of all time
I can't think of it because I can hear this song but one more night way up
there for me Mr. Domara come the autos X of that I guess all odds is always
going to be a good ball house don't lose my number just because of the video
is greatness I number two
my computer is going to stop there we go
this is a little obscure for most people but it's not your list go Pound Sam I am
in the eighth grade it is 1986 for those of you that know me well enough you know
that faith is a very very big player in my life I'm not gonna go into and I'm
not gonna turn this into my personal platform although I could it's my
chef but it's our show I'm sorry I didn't mean to take too much
my mother traveled a lot when I was a kid and my mother was in a Christian bookstore
and she said to the guy my kids just starting to really get serious about his
faith I want to get him some music that he can listen to and the guy in the
Christian book store gave her two cassettes Petra's back to the street which is
their first album when they change lead singers and this one which is oddly
enough white hearts first album with their movies this was called don't wait
for the movie and I remember the first time I put this cassette in a net opening
that you heard it because this is the first track on the album it's called don't
wait for the movie and it's how it's called read the book don't wait for the
movie and my brain melted I was like what is this what what what what what is
what is what is this it is what began a love affair with a band that carries to
this date 27 years later I can put any why I own every album they've ever
recorded I have the entire catalog and it's when I got my first ipod I had to go
into iTunes and find up the stuff before this album because it's hard to find
anymore much less on CDs my best friend Rico back home he and I went on this
journey together he's actually seen them live more times than I have he beat me
by one or two but this is one of this is probably my favorite Christian band in
the history of ever if for a number of reasons it's done some amazing work but I
would just remember hearing this song and going wow I dig this man and that had
a very profound effect on me and does to this day number one on the list and
Chad thought this was really strange but there's a specific reason
Lynn Mark albums in my life now this is the opening track to the album
REO Speedwagon high-end fidelity this is the first non-kitty album that that had
any heavy rotation in my house because before this it was there was a Sesame
Street album others know there's a shot on all of us albums into a lot I think
I still have this album high-end fidelity this is the album that has this was
a single probably their biggest hit came off of this album in my opinion
being keep on loving you in your letter take it on the run was on this album
which was a carrier of you staple of mine for years my personal favorite
song of the album is called I wish you were there but I have owned this album
on vinyl I have owned this album on cassette I own this album on CD this was the
album that made me realize that music played a huge role in my life because I
listened to this album over and over and over I could probably recite you this
album beginning to end to this day and this album came out in 1981 I believe
wow I this this album 1980 I'm sorry so this album is now 33 years old this
album had a profound effect on me because if I could pinpoint one moment where
where music became a major player in my life it is this one and from that
point forward music was more than just something on the radio music was
something that I had a passion for and that I I couldn't get enough of it I
wanted music all the time yeah now I didn't really understand why until
probably seven or eight or nine years later when you know what I would get
into band and I would you know everybody's in children's choir so I don't
like count that but you know in the band you should and into DJ and into care as
my life has progressed over almost four decades now I've realized that this
was the moment this was it and it's it's really hard for people to pinpoint
certain things in their life but I could honestly say sitting before you now
this was it this album are you speaking to you I get high in fidelity which a
lot of people argue was when they became too commercial I don't care well
there's a reason for that because it gave it gave people exposure to their
their four of their biggest hits came off of this yeah this was their
thriller that that that that whole thing of their two commercial is about the
