So about a guy whose friends get together and try to help him
Uh, get past that stage in his life and they do it as a document
I think it's a mockumentary, but they do a documentary style. I've heard excellent things about it
also was very limited release

We're gonna talk about that I watched today just to make sure it was fresh in my mind
It is listed as one of the greatest matches of its kind of all time. It was the standard bear
It's the one everybody talks about as Sean Michaels faces razor remone in their second latter match of the year
The first one being earlier at wrestle mania 10. I'll tell you one thing you forgot
During this pay-per-view was Lex Luger made his last wwf television
I was gonna talk about that afterwards. Yeah, and the ramifications

The next week he shows up on nitro. Yes, that was his literally his last appearance in the wwf

Sean and razor razor at this point had how he had the intercontinental by title three times
He was looking to be a four-time champion
Some of the notice in the very beginning of this match
We were showing hbk merchandise during the entrance during the entrance that guy
I don't know, but I also like the entrance everything he had on I thought really popped Sean wore the blue with it with the black
Tiger first and only time is that the only time he's more than that and he had the the belt
He had the belt and razor came out first yes had all the pyro in the rain that Sean you know that has now which kind which was kind of interesting
Also, but the way he had the back to the belt the intercontinental battle with the old silver background on it to me
Made that belt pot with what he had on with the blue and the silver. He really that's one of the better intros
He's had in the aisle way with the no light behind him and he kind of opens up and there he is great entrance your
Commentating team for this match was Vince McMahon and doc Hendrix who we also know is Michael PSA's
Hendrix says during the match that this was the eighth summer slam six of the seven previous summer slams that the icy belt was defended
It changed hands. Yes. This is also a little more history on this. This was a a come a rematch of a a match at WrestleMania 10
That in my opinion is the greatest WrestleMania match of all time in my opinion. I will differ on that sir
I think that I mentioned that a little bit earlier as you you get a maybe come WrestleMania week

But to me that that match really it sold the WrestleMania 10 card. This was a rematch to that
Did it live up?
I liked it. There were more bumps in this one. Yeah, well this that's why this one is the standard bear more the ladder match in my opinion
Sean had won the icy title from Jeff Jarrett at in your house to lumber jacks
There was really no build up for this. It was originally supposed to be Sid versus Sean
Something happened. Sid was removed from the match two weeks before razor shows up. They were in his match
They spun this as a viewer's choice. Is that what it was?
Sid was guaranteed the following night on Rawl. He got the winner
He was number one contender for the tournament. We had a number one contender for the intercontinental battle and talked about that
Sid's got it was a doctorate. Sid's got to be licking his chops and lauler too. Yes, but lauler
Sid actually got the winner of this match the following night on USA on Rawl. Okay
This was face versus face. They weren't seeing that a whole lot anymore
And I'll tell you what razor had a heck of a pop in the beginning of the match that crowd went crazy which hit the hall was as razor hall was over
Then how many vignettes were there before he showed up? I mean this this is kind of what I see them doing with Alberto Del Rio right now
A lot of vignettes leading up. He was on the shows every week. You saw razor Ramon a lot
Which made his jump to WCW forming the outsiders that much more of an impact because not only did you know who this cat was
You knew where he came from he was there all the time never got never got higher than I see belt never had to yeah
He always kind of hung around that

Sean almost loses his trunks
He did that WrestleMania 10 remember he lost the model. I think that might have been a little and Doc Kendrick said there's a full moon and Pittsburgh that I
Uh bad spot falling off that ladder as he his knee kind of catches the the cross handle thing
Lot of bumps in this and I couldn't tell if that was what he was trying to do or not
But kind of razor kind of spun that and took a lot of time focusing on then you reminded me a lot of Ric Flair
Where you don't have that much anymore where you have you tell a story of a guy focusing on a certain body part to try to soften him up
Yeah, you see it every once well, but not as much as you did back then um
High spots out the India
There's a whole lot more high spots the only high spot from 10 was the image you see of Sean at the very top of the ladder doing the splash
On to Scott Hall. That's the image from that that WrestleMania 10 which he did in this match and missed it and missed it
Yeah, and this is before high spots were really thought you weren't savage or snooker or Tito Santana or Ricky the dragon
Scene boat high spots were not something that we're very prevalent in the industry. I think also I you know
This has happened before you think they booked the same match twice
They wrestled the same match twice because there's if you watched them within two minutes or side by side
Some of the spots are very eerily similar to WrestleMania 10 spots
But if it works the only in the ending of this match the the wrap-up was to super kick off the ladder right and we're getting this

What I also liked about this match was doc Hendrix kind of going back and forth on his commentary
Sometimes it was goat razors sometimes it was go Sean and Vince kind of called him. He's like I'm confused man
I'm I'm torn, you know, and that was fun to do let's listen to that
Hayes always great on a microphone in any capacity

Ray at one point Sean gets halfway up the ladder razor picks him up off the ladder straight into
The razor's edge, which I thought was a great spot
um
When it comes to ladder matches and and things I like ladder matches
There's a couple of things that always stand out to me. That's one edge mid air spear. Yeah, TLC's another one
Just to literally picking Sean up off the ladder into the right thought maybe Sean's gonna kick
He's gonna he's gonna reverse it. Boom straight to the mat
Then when I was this the first time that multiple ladders were used with the same ladder Mary first time that multiple ladders
were involved in a ladder match absolutely that Vince called the backup ladder in case of the primary ladder broke of
Sean hits the super kick off the top of the ladder onto razor who's trying to get up there with another great spot
But Sean
I don't know if he botched the ending twice
Because the first time he had the ladder too far away and he went to grab the belt and he fell off
But then there was a spot where
uh razor goes from the power bomb using the the fists
Struck down Sean reverses it throws him over the top rope. So that that makes me wonder was that was that first bot
I don't think that was I think the second one the last one so they kind of improvise it a little bit
I didn't say botched the last one then Sean gets up on the again
And he's too far away and literally fall straight to the mat and that one you know for a fact was botched
Because Sean was madder than a wet hint. Yes that that ending of that was botched
And then Sean goes back puts literally spot almost spikes the ladder through the mat
To climb up and get the title
And again this this match is the standard bearer. It's on the ladder match DVD
Said it's the only way you can get it. I watched it on youtube earlier today
Had the old wf logos on it. They didn't blur it out or anything
Yeah, it was a very good match. I picked that because I know it's Sean going to Hall of Fame. I thought it was
Customary. I didn't want to go something run of the mill so I pulled this because it was kind of it's kind of off the beaten path
From some of the classic matches from Sean Michaels that we remember through the years and him doing certain things
