My name is Rob, I'm the executive producer of this particular program, and for those
you play in the home game, we are now into the fourth week of the year.
It's almost a 12th of the way their kids, and we're all still holding on.
But I'm not alone for this particular episode, joining me across the desk as he tends
to do is my co-host, and a man who had just had to put his glasses on to tell all
the kids to get off his lawn.
He is chat.
And somehow they made my hiccup stop.
Don't ask me why.
I'm not here to judge you.
To his left, one of our two special guests this evening, and a man who always welcome
on the show, and he's gearing up for some very big things in the future.
We're going to talk about hearing a little while.

A couple of follow ups on the Dumbo live action film.
Tim Burton will be directing and Will Smith's character is going to be a father of a family
that befriends Dumbo to teach him how to fly.

Moving on.
The last Ringling Brothers show will be in May, so it's not going to make it here
before they fold it. And so we were talking about the death of Snooka last weekend, and there's
one person we forgot to talk about in his lineage. That would be his daughter, to me now.
We named everybody else did y'all not get choked up at the little, you know, Twitter feed that
they showed at the end of the day. That was great. And then at the end, her holding his hand in the
hospital bed, that was beautiful. And from one of our iTunes exclusives this week, we are talking
about James McAvoy who's in split. We'll talk about hearing a little while. I mentioned that
he was in taken. He was actually in wanted, not taken. So I had to correct myself on that.
Let's get right into some NFL talk right off the top of the show because that's really what
we're in the middle of. If you missed the headline on Thursday, the writers have submitted the
paperwork to move to Vegas. But if the move happens, the earliest it will happen is 2020. I'm assuming
because of them building the stadium. Okay. Because it can't be, it can't be any kind of paperwork
because the chargers are moving next season. Yeah. And boy, can we keep forgetting to talk about it?
I don't know if you know about this about the chargers move because that stadium is not going to be
ready till 2019 for them to share with the Rams. Oh, I know where they're playing. They're playing
in a 30,000-seat soccer stadium. Yeah. If they can't feel that place up, they're about to lose
their starting quarterback. They've got a little bit of a reason. They don't want to play in
Los Angeles. So he's out. I don't really don't blame a lot of them for not wanting to do this. But
I'm going to drag them there kicking his cream in apparently. We know one team headed to the
Super Bowl as of right now because that game has completed while it was completed by half time.
But the Green Bay Packers. Sorry about your bad luck. Wow, they ran into a freight train
known as Atlanta. And really, it's like you guys were running a little bit late for the game.
But I texted Mikey. I was like, really, this game's going to depend on who's got the better
online because both of these secondarys were garbage today. And Matt Ryan just on fire.
Green Bay didn't have a ground game either so that you got to keep Aaron Rogers off the field
to make that game. And Atlanta just picked them to pieces 44 to 21. Atlanta has two thirds of the
over under on their own. Let's see if if Pittsburgh can beat up on these paths. And right now,
this game's very competitive. Yeah. Neither I mean the the weather is probably not helping the
passing game for either team as it is raining currently in Foxborough. I trust the lady on
Bell a lot. Go. Go Pittsburgh. So we're going to see how this goes. Don and Don, I'm sure is glued to
his TV said. This is whenever the sewers play, he's very superstitious. That's probably why he's
not here tonight. So he's glued to the couch watching the game. So we'll keep you updated as the time
goes on. Some television headlines for you. I just lost my page. There we go. Fans of this is us
very interesting move this week by NBC. Not only renews them for seasons two and three,
but a minimum of 18 episodes in each season. Yeah. I think the cast found out that
the one was the last award show that was held. The Golden Loops. I guess it was. It was like
at the post party. The producer pulled the cast to the side and somebody was running. I don't think
they've had the saga words. I think that Mandy Moore was running her cell phone or doing Facebook
live or something. And she got the bombshell dropped on them when she was talking all of her fellow
cast mates. They were seeing the episodes of season minimum. I mean, that's that's something
that you'll hear every day. Mikey, you're in both our wives are really into this show. It's a
pretty good show. It's not a bad show. My wife is starting to dabble in this show a little bit.
I think. What I've seen, I've liked. It's it's really it's a lot of flash forward, flash,
backward, flash, forward, flash, backward, but I mean, very, very selective on the shows I take on.
I've the only student in the new show that I've taken on this year is Taboo. And
I'm still not sure what to think and there's only 8 episodes and there've been two.
So, I'm intrigued, but I still want to know. I mean, I like that the day or last night,
but in the air. No, there's only been two episodes. It's the last two, two days.
Oh, it's two days. Chapter three is this week. Okay. Okay. All I can tell you is things are about
to get really, really real and things are about to come to a head. And it's pretty much
Tom Hardy versus the world. Right. At the end on that. The 1820s world. But it's got a really kind of
neat supernatural twist to it that I can't quite figure out just yet. The ending of the second
episode makes you go, oh, right. But there's that. If you're a fan of the flash possible
spoiler coming in three, two, don't say the one. Rick Cossenett returning to the show. If you remember
who he was, he played Eddie Fawn. So Iris's fiance coming back. Really going to throw some
wrinkles into the mix. Okay, spoilers are over. So if you've unmuted yourself, you're fine now.
Let's see what else we have going on here. ABC and the BBC have ordered M-A-M-C in the BBC. I'm
sorry. After the night manager did as well as it did picking up three golden globes. They've actually
now ordered a limited series based on another one of John Locard's novels. The spy who came in
from the cold. Haven't we already done this? I think we have. But they're apparently redoing it.
I don't know if it was theatrical or if it was a series, but I want to say it was theatrical.
And I want to say it was fairly recent. I don't think it was fairly recent, but
like within the last five to ten years' recent is what I'm thinking. Take a look.
So are you a fan of the Jerry Seinfeld? No. Yes. Have you heard that news this week?
What news is with that? He has an extra foot. Ladies. No. Netflix has acquired the rights to
comedians and cars getting coffee. There's crackle series where he has basically people getting cars
with him. Like President Obama didn't episode where they just he could see like Jay Leno he is a
bunch of different cars. And so they just grab out of his cars and it's kind of an interview show
of them driving around the getting coffee. It's very, very popular. Picture the car karaoke thing
that Gordon does without the singing. All the conversation none of the singing. Spy who came in
from the cold was actually done in 1965 with Richard Burton. Okay. So I think you're right. It was
not recent. So let's see. Something older than me. Yes. You are waiting with baited breath for the
CBS app only Star Trek discovery. You're gonna wait longer. God. It's been delayed again past May,
but they have cast James Frane as Spock's father. So you're going for it. I think they're going
that right. Does the name Roel Renee mean anything to you? Not to me. He's a little sister.
God. He's the director of Death Race 2. He will direct the two-hour pilot for Inhumans
which is apparently going to be an ABC show that's not going to Netflix. I'm going to Netflix. Okay.
But the two-hour pilot will run for two weeks in IMAX before it airs on ABC this fall.
I'm still trying to play. Oh, it just finally clicked in. Who you said is playing Spock's father.
I just realized who that is. Tell her first one. Mikey. The tutors. And he was the guy that played the
Galavan on Gotham. He was also in Toronto, like I see. Yes, he was. He was Jeff Bridges,
the evil Jeff Bridges is a little toti. He was a guy that was as real. He was in the
count of money, Christo. He was in the smash hit reindeer games. Also in the lone ranger. He's
also currently on Orphan Black. He's also Theo Galavan on Gotham. That's what I said. Yeah. He was
Galavan on Gotham. He was also in a true detective. Oh, I don't watch that. You really did hate that
It was it was terrible. It was now they're talking about with vinyl having done so badly. They're talking
about a third season, but I haven't heard anything like they're seeing a what? True detective.
Because they thought vinyl was going to be their winter show and it failed so miserably.
And the producers of American crime story are working on a mini series based on the
Lewinsky scandal. So you got that. Oh god. You didn't hear about that. Like last week
they're doing two seasons next year of that show. Oh, what show? American crime story. They're
going to be doing the aftermath of Katrina and the Versace murder. But they're doing two seasons next
year because they're not going to get it done for this year. Well, they kicked a lot of tail it
during awards season after. I think the first of those made in America is better because it's a
documentary. So TV on DVD and Blue Ray this week Sherlock series four and great that that's
even here. Attack on Titan complete season one all together on DVD and Blue Ray this week. Yeah
seasons one of two of Hooper man if you remember that. Oh my god coming this week. When that
Danny Coleman? No that you're thinking that was John Ritter was Hooper man. Okay.
Why? Because they can. The adventure time islands many series coming to DVD this week.
And but why? And something called crime scene cleaners season two.
How did season one guys? I don't. Oh no because beauty of the beast.

shows up and it's up holding the family hostage. He's also on the Downton Abbey. He played Matthew
Crawling. Oh, that's a pretty good job. I want to say they got the directed the guest. He is also
leads about to be in Legion. Okay. Okay. I think he's the main guy in Legion if I'm not mistaken.
But when they've been running like a like crazy, you know what that is. It looks that's Professor
Rex's son. If I say it looks X from X been related because there's an X in the middle of the
yellow. No. I mean, let me take a look. No, he was 90. He was in three. He
lands a lot in 90. He's in three. Good. I did. There was a third. Yeah. It was pretty good. It's
takes place in London. And Rebel Wilson's in it. Yeah. She's like the gate guard. That was one of my first
part of me. I can just delete my uh give it a shot. It's fun. Give it a shot. It was

because there's something that's kind of in, I want to talk about, but it's not really POI related.
So we're going to, we're going to how you define POI, really. Technically, but I think we're all
going to agree on the importance of this. Well, we are, we are talking about it's greatness.
Yeah. I'm going to try to get through this intact. So if I have to take this a little bit slower
than normal, you're going to have to understand. We talked about this on the show the last couple
of weeks and yesterday was the ride for Dalton. Dalton is my nephew. He is his entire life. He's had
MS and doctors didn't think that he would make it to double digits and he's almost double that now.
He has a special chair of it. He gets around in. He can only move his head in his hands pretty much,
but he's a great kid. Amazing sense of humor that I, that I always, I love talking to him.
He's very cognizant of everything and about three weeks ago a young man that I like to call me young
man. He's only two four months younger than me. But I call him my brother because we just got sick of
people saying no to people. Assessive. We were really, he can't Harrison got wind of his condition
because he needed a new bed and it's a special kind of bed that he can move around in because when
he sits lays in one bed too long, he tends to get bed source, which causes extended stays in
the hospital, which means higher medical bills and not everything that's covered by his medicare
is Medicaid. So my brother can get wind of this and if you know anything about Dalton and his family,
they were, they were a family that kind of took me in when I was an adult orphan for lack of a
better term. I spent holidays with them. We went on family trips together and things of that
nature. So I'm very, very close with his family and they have a go-fund me out there.
I should go to go-fund me and look up, I believe the hashtag is bed four Dalton,
but you can look up Dalton, few trail, FUT, R-E-L-L. It's how you spell his last name. D-L-T-O-N is his first name.
Ken got a wind of the need and organized in the last three weeks. He got his brothers together
from the Southern Dogs, where he motorcycle club. A lot of, if almost all of the Southern dogs
are either current or former law enforcement or firefighters and they all got together and they
had a poker run yesterday. Over 60 bikes showed up. A couple of them have maniacs. Although they
had a very, very busy day yesterday, a couple of them came by for about 45 minutes, shaken hands
and kissing babies and taking pictures and signing autographs. They made sure to sign a picture
and leave a shirt for Dalton because Dalton gets there till later in the day. Friend of the
showed Dave Scott and his wife brought up their Jurassic Park jeeps and we've got a lot of pictures
of Dalton with those and other people taking pictures with the jeeps. They needed about $2,500 to
get to the goal combining that with the, what was on the go-fun me. We had that goal by like six
o'clock. Wow. And the event went to almost midnight. Some great bands came out.
Deception. I want to say I, no, I'm going to screw that up. Let me see if I can find the text
message because I don't, I don't want to screw it. Powerflower was one of the bands that came out.
Let's see. I got them right here. Deception powerflower, the last frequency and interact
were the four bands that donated their time to come out and hang out with us yesterday. I want
to thank Lori Johnson for coordinating all of the bands and all of that good stuff. All the great
people at the brick tavern. This was, can't ask me to come out and do a little bit of DJ work
and MC the event. We were out there from quarter to nine in the morning. I left at 11 o'clock
that night just because I had hit the wall and still had to eat dinner and come home.
With everything that's been going on in our society lately and so much of vitriol and venom
that people are throwing in each other. Events like this helped me remember that humans can be
awesome and it was something that really, it kind of renewed my faith and humanity a little bit
yesterday because we've all been seeing everything that's been going on and there's so much darkness
but to see a light in the darkness for that his dad was telling me, Rick was telling me that
that was really the first time Dalton had been out of terror for anything besides a doctor's
visit in like two years. Wow and everybody, I mean and when I say everybody, I'm saying
every person whether they were part of the event or just were people that hung out at that
particular tavern that paid the $10 cover just because all the money went to him. They had a
fifth they had a the guy that won the poker run. It was a $100 cash gave them money right back in. Wow
the people that were second and third place that won gifts certificates for the tavern. They gave
those back a lot of people like I want to say the guy that won the 50-50 drawing he gave a chunk of
the money back to see people at everybody was going up and spending time so the one lady like
entered like interfered with whatever I'd say interest but put herself in the middle of the first
band set and was like look I want to talk to all my sisters out there. I just went to the ATM
pulled out money and I'm gonna see you talk to that boy you're going to be back into the
pullout more. Like it was. It was a special moment and I was telling Rob before I got on show.
I was at an establishment, it was about 10 30 o'clock at night, 8 o'clock at night, I'm at an
establishment and these guys were one of these bike vests and everything like that and stuff and
they were like yeah they were just kept talking about this awesome event that was going on in
Saxony and you know I put two and two together because it's all on social media that
yeah I was kind of all over it. That Rob was hosting this doing MC in this event and
these guys were sitting there was like yeah we did the we did the ride for Dalton thing
and everything like that and it's it's a powerful message that was sent across because
I was probably about 40 minutes away from where the event was held and these guys were
all the way from over here and they're like yeah we just came from it. It was a very,
very important thing and it was it was a wonderful thing to see because it didn't matter
what time of the day it was or where was that? You still had people talking about it. It's nice
to see things like that and like you said it's it's a gray dark area in this world right now
and a lot of things you know you can tongue and cheek everything and you gotta you gotta look
around but it's nice to see that you know humanity has a has a bright spot and everything like that
and it was a wonderful thing and it wasn't even just the southern dogs there were probably
six or seven different motorcycle clubs represented here that from all different walks of life
and everybody's hanging out and having a great time and friends of the show that it came out
people that weren't even affiliated with clubs that just rode their motorcycles came out and
they were interacting with everybody and it was just such I'm exhausted but I would do it again
in a heartbeat because of who it was for sometimes you'll stay up 48 hours to make it for the
right message you know whether you ain't lying and I really did and I just want to thank
everybody if you and if you still want to give or get involved go to go fund me just put Dalton's
name in Dalton futurel and there's a couple of different go fund me is one they're trying to
they're trying to get a new vehicle because they're they're last van broke down and they're
specialty vehicles that they have to have to be able to transport in places clarify the spelling of
Dalton F U T R E L L look those up and just help this family out there they're having a rough
go of it but they're I mean to see his two sisters right there with them all day long
whatever whatever he needed they were there when when Rick and his wife trend were kind of shaking hands
and kissing babies with everybody that came through the door because they all wanted to meet the family
the girls were just picking up right where they left off and it that is family people
that it's family aren't just the people you're born into family are the people that have your back
and are there for you regardless and for everybody that came out and everybody that's going to
continue to help out I can't say personally enough thank you it was I'm still freaking out about this
life affirming it's humans are just awesome sometimes and if if we could just have more of this
and less of that it's just it is amazing how much better things will be spend spend that energy
that you're taking and you're using to tear other people down and take that energy and lift
people up for the love of God and like I was telling people earlier sometimes you can't live in the
currency of likes you have to enjoy other people around you just smile a bit and just take it all
in because while you're nose deep in your social media and you're more worried about this
this currency of of likes there's people who are actually trying to like who you are as a person
and just smile enjoy walk down the street shake someone's hand just just do those small things
and it makes a whole difference in the matter of one day to a week to a month to a year just do it
just just just try it it was amazing and I I do it all over again heartbeat so thank you again
and and I don't want to spend the whole stuff show talking about this but you could
dig well be sure that we were going to talk about it regardless of what we were talking about tonight
remember because this was an amazing event we had so much fun and thank you to Ken
the man I don't know how he did it and he won't take the credit even if you talk to him
he'll give the credit to everybody else but I said it in Facebook last time I'm going to stay
again right now I'm giving him the credit because I can he's my brother and I know how much to
work he put into this and he crushed it so thank you again good job that being said let us get this
thing back moving again we're going to do some music news for you because we are your one stop
shop for all things pop culture let me get the right music you up here okay there we go
so this past weekend and we're not going to go too deep into politics but this is just what
this was called a bunch of artists got together and did an anti inaugural ball that would host
that was hosted by profits of rage and if you don't know who they are it's members of
rage against the machine public enemy and cypress hill god I was hoping rage against machine
would be there just for the civil theft that had the against in rage in the same well and technically
they work as Tom Morello was there but audio slave also reunited to play that gig oh so you had
that representation there too that actually sounds like a pretty good conversation brother you know
I'm in on just about anything Chris Cornell so so they that happened also another band announced
they're getting back together and touring this year the gemera quiet really back yes it's been off
there the ballman no no we were around the same time but touched on Pittsburgh by the way so this
is now back to a three point game almost so that's happening this year big announcement on YouTube and
this year for their second swim on their current tour through North America iron maiden back
on the road in North America oh my god with ghost opening up for them I don't know another label
come off a helmet that play they'll be here at the American Airlines Center on June 23rd although
the announcement on a certain website called at the American Airlines Arena let it go man you know
that mistake gets made all free proof read someone has to see that see the sticker coming off the
helmet right there it is you can see it was the underside of it music new releases in places you
get music new releases this Friday I put this on there just because I love the name of this band
the japan droids did he miss it yeah he missed it missed the extra points second time
the day that's happened the japan droids are releasing next to the wild heart of life I just
like the name of that dance I'll put it on there a train is back a girl a bottle of boat
all over again what terminal you okay over there bro and the return this Friday of bell bib demo
did you see them on the morning show or I did not but the first thing the first single run is
really really good I've heard some of the second single they do with SWV and it's okay but I'm a big
fan of run I really really last night was it bad no no last night me and a bunch of friends we were
having a margarita party and we ended up going to the house party soundtrack oh brother cross
but it was in the house funny soundtrack they were on the second one oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
because the first one was it was full force and yes and and and and that second soundtrack
very underrated in my opinion that's my favorite and good I heard nobody's on great song that's
the best kid in place on the ever came out but going back to television and I'm glad you brought
that up so you didn't because it triggered something else this week on BET is the new addition story
many series set to record my two Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday and then and I think they're
going to run all three parts in a marathon on Friday if you miss any of it but my my DVR is set
because I've seen the trailer for this thing and it looks really really good yes it does for a long time
so I mean I'm not as big of a fan of the group as you are you know I am interested to see the
story behind the curtain so just and I've said it before and I'll say it again the only group
outside of the Beatles were every member had success in the group and out of the group yeah
call point only time only the other time is happened that I can tell up I'm not Tito
I finally did watch that off the wall documentary that's Spike Lee directed good oh you just
not got around I was about did it over the break I enjoyed that yes right now I'm in the middle
of the rock and roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony from this year I've just gotten to end
away now I need one on dangerous yeah so I'm hoping maybe he just keeps going all the way through
well you know we still don't have a thriller documentary for me go to thriller next and then do
bad and then dangerous go I would love to see Spike do because he did a really good job on this yes he
did this was one of those things that if you didn't know Spike directed it it wasn't it didn't look
like a Spike Lee joint yeah well as radical as most of his other things and I love his work
radical or non but this was this was impressive well he this was impressive he's made a lot of
noise of tackling another artist and their catalog oh really oh yes and B.A. News Mike you have you
heard what TNT is going to be doing very very soon no they're going to take a series of games
over five different weeks we're instead of having your announced team they compete check in a
free throw contest got would take too long but you're going to have groups of former players
doing like their own commentary during the game live there's going to be two different
panels one will be Brent Barry Grant Hell and Derek Fisher the other I knew we found out the other
day at Grant Hill is was married to R&B Superstar Tamia yep didn't know that until the other
was or still is okay so are and the other panel will be Greg Anthony Kevin McHale and Richard Hamilton
let's do anything for you yeah yeah I mean this this was announced I want to see Jalen Rose
Chris Weber I want to see those guys like Gary Peyton Sean Kim Sean Kemp and all 12 this kid

Hispanic actor to win an Oscar and a leading actor Oscar and your mom is Rosemary Clooney which
makes your cousin George Clooney. He was in Robo Cop Iron Man 3.
I mean this guy has got skins on the wall. He's a voiceover. He was Slade Wilson in the team
titan series. He was in Twin Peaks. He was on NCI LA. He was his last big project. He was an adventure
time. He was a vandal savage on young justice which I'm so ready for season 3 on Netflix. They just
announced and get it done. He was in Beverly Hills, Chihuahua, three. Everybody's got their

we're going to do our movie commentary this year we're going to start this year okay and I'm
putting it down now because I'm putting it out there to the universe Mikey you guys are welcome
to Steven you're welcome to the very first movie we're going to do our own it's not going to be an
M.S.T. 3K thing we're going to do a straight commentary the first movie it's going to happen at the end
of March and it's going to be the sandlot okay can we do a Godzilla movie please we do it
everyone it's our show well I'm not parting because we all love that movie so much and we want
to do it right before opening day for Rachel Lee baseball and we take that movie there's a go
to the first throw in this idea around I love that movie it's one of my favorite movies of all time
caddy check oh well we can do caddy check we want to I want to make this as a side project
of the main show where we all get together and we we actually record it and so people can
start the movie when we start the movie and we'll sit in the green room and we'll set up the the
small set up in the green room and we'll all talk about it because I don't want to just
do a comment I want to talk about the things about the film that we love and why we love the
films that we do I think it's it's it's coming a little different than a lot of people do
right because anybody can do an M.S.T. 3K thing anybody can it's a fun thing right
so coming in ninth place the founder which released this week which we like to call iTunes
is exclusive 253 six million dollars and five weeks it's made twenty twenty four million dollars
forty five million dollar budget go see this movie I think it'll make it budget back quickly
by the way 17 nine newing one at the half is where we're at right now Patriarch Dre take the

Monster trucks hang in in it seven's place how don't know seven million dollars two weeks

559 theaters drops from five to six this week another seven million dollars six weeks five hundred and twelve point two
million dollars I didn't it wasn't the China opening this week I thought it I thought that was that was the
big one they were waiting on I thought I had an international release date uh four rings made four hundred and
ninety nine so it's really close to behind where it is uh total of almost one point one billion
worldwide that bad for a film that came out the end of December let me see if it's gotten
China's release date uh China just released on the sixth and it's already made fifty four million
dollars so it's two weeks not a bad old film yeah two and okay we're pulled for you
La La Land drops from a silver medal to fifth place eight point four million dollars seven weeks
eighty nine point seven million dollars thirty million dollar budget be prepared for this to jump
because the day after tomorrow is the Oscar nominations uh saying drops from three to four
this thing is still in the top five sir nine for a mark nine million dollars five weeks two hundred
and forty nine point four million dollars how does seventy five million dollar but I thought it
would have been a higher gross than that it's been in the top ten as long as it has been a hidden
figure drops from the gold medal to the bronze medal this week 16 and a quarter million five weeks
eighty four point two million dollars twenty five million dollar budget go see this movie just saying
so your top two money winners this week are debuts in the silver medal twenty million dollars
for triple X the return of zander cage oh no 85 million dollar budget

dollars winning the weekend is the new movie in the Shama Lama verse split makes forty point two
million dollars this weekend that's done it's me I do it's exclusive two for you with the new
and night shama on film with James McAvoy um from all consensus of people that I've talked to
he's back on the right trail took a long to get there a lot of people are comparing a chunk of
this movie being very hitchcocky in in nature as it used to be as he used to be and I've you
would I talked off air about yeah yeah that do yourself a favor if you have seen this film
do not spoil it for the people that do not want to know because there's a very interesting twist
to this film um it made my eyes fly open when you said it uh when I went and saw the founder
Don went and saw split and Kevin was there I saw Kevin the next morning and Kevin's like I didn't

he has his own production company right now and he is teeming up with the creator of blackish
Ken LaBaris to remake white men can't jump oh good guys because that needs to exist I can't go
back and watch the original because it's so dated well the original though was really good though
and it's time like I like I like watched a few minutes of it I was like this is so dated I can't
yeah great soundtrack another we talked about soundtrack earlier great soundtrack I don't know how
you put it into modern day time I don't either but but I mean it's a great movie but beyond that
it would be like trying to watch it in living color now oh I'm saying it's food to stop with the
letter Q Billy we do have a distributor for the two-poock biopic all eyes on me it's a lines game
it's going to just be good uh release date will be June 16 so they're feeling very very good about
this film to release it in mid June is that dot counts birthday very nice have you seen the trailer
yeah Steven have you seen the trailer for this thing oh no actually I can't after the show
look up the trailer for all eyes on me this kid is nailed it to buck he nailed it's scary as
much as a kid that look I don't know is it the same guy they got straight out of compton I don't
think so I don't know it's it's frightening how much he looks like did you watch the trailer I
asked you to watch before the show no I never could okay Steven have you heard of a movie called
colossal yeah uh dot com might what if you heard of his new movie coming out called colossal it's
with Anne Hathaway and she's kind of a down on her luck single girl and apparently in Seoul South
Korea a monster is attacking the city and what they find out is the monster which is a Gojira
type monster is a manifestation of her so you're watching the trailer and you're hearing the
reporters like why is this monster always looking down as it's destroying cities and you see her
just kind of walking so one night she's watching the TV and she's moving her arms and the monsters
doing exactly what she's doing and she's like oh my god so the end of the trailer they've got she's
like no visit they're like you're full of it whatever she's like no pull up some news footage
that's live and she starts doing this weird dancing and they're like she's like what is it doing
they're like it's dancing she goes yes but how is it dancing and they look here and they're like oh my god
that's her she doing the Elaine dance kind of think she's like if it's
braggle furniture Jim braggles sent me this at a text message and I watched this trailer and I went
oddly enough I'm in on it's it's got it in our wheelhouse that's what like when you ask me I'm like
it's sci-fi comedy so I like it's a quest it's like a modern day attack at the 50 foot woman kind of
sorta but she's but she's but it's like an avatar of her it just watched the trailer okay
it'll make more sense when you watch the trailer uh Warner Brothers even I don't know if you heard
this another attack on Titan reference Warner Brothers developing their own live action
attack on Titan film um wait so so is it going to restart because of the first
two-part special bomb or like I don't know they just want to do their own version
they want to do an Americanized version of it American I don't know if you can
Americanize that but James Franco and he could be younger he could be the chick with the jetpack
there is going to be a new spider-man animated feature coming in winter of 2018
Miller and Lloyd are involved and I from what I understand Miles Morales exactly that's going to
happen and then we found out Friday as Dwayne Johnson announces that black Adam's gonna get his own film
I thought that was always the plan no he's the villain in the shazam film yeah black Adam I
just I thought that was always the plan though that he was gonna get his own film they just announced
it this week that it's gonna happen I don't know how I feel about this um if Suicide Squad can
get their own film why not black Adam they'd really got to be careful it's all I'm saying
I'm just saying following that that path of logic that's my key doing over there
why's he got to be Adam why's he got to be Adam why's he got to be Adam
you idiot okay so moving you releases this week because everybody needed this to happen
resident evil the final chapter is happening oh he sure it's the final chapter we
hope which is all that thank god it's over a movie that we will be screening on Tuesday night
a dog's purpose which is under a little bit of scrutiny right now the premiere got cancelled
and Josh Gad is looking for people to look into this we'll be giving you our review later this week
also reviewing this week from us but we will be seeing tomorrow night the new Matthew McConaughey
film gold based on a true story I love gold it actually looks kind of good it's very
wolf of wall streetish so also a movie called I am Michael this is going to cause controversy I'm
Steve it well he is Michael well I don't know that this is his story
Quinto let me let me pull this out I don't want to get this wrong because this is this is kind of wheels off
James Franco and Emma Roberts are in this and Quinto is in this as well
a gay activist and magazine founder is saved from his homosexuality after turning to God oh boy
oh precious so I hope this is a here we go kind of thank god oh boy also brace yourself the
daughter starring Jeffrey Rush Nicholas Hope and Sam Niel this is a story of a man who returns home
to discover a long buried family secret and who's attempts to put things right threatened the
lives of those he left home years before apparently this has been on the on the shelf for a couple of
years and finally getting released it's the end of January always a good sign so be it be advised
DVD and blue right new releases this week in furnote didn't this just come I got the end of this
is like an october I think the light between oceans which dawn screen and I I don't know if I
can look that far back and see which one that is US Indianapolis men of courage starring action
film star Nicholas Cage what happened to him I saw what happened to the death of Superman I know
what happened to him limited collectors addition three disc blue ray of the man who fell to earth
this week with the bowie the late I would think a faith based film called I'm not ashamed
and criterion collection does the sixties film black girl this week I wish I would do a little
less obscure stuff really too tech talk let's get to it's hulu will be offering offline playback very
very soon they haven't said a timeline but they're going to be where you can just download the show
and watch it when you're not connected to the events oh that makes sense can't leave more
numbers or services don't do that a couple of switch announcements for you ultra street fighter two
will be on it yeah finally set a platform other than ps4 that lands three will not be on it
badlands what's badlands it's similar to like red dead revolver but like modern day
esk borderlands is it borderlands I know it's badlands okay badlands it's no it's its own game
and some news on mario cart eight deluxe sputumes on it but not no new tracks though
alright deluxe mario cart I heard I heard two new tracks every new every new thing is going to
be on the battle system but they're going to have at least two to four new tracks okay because
the the headline I said there weren't going to be any new tracks but there will be like you
set a revamped battle mode new characters new vehicles I love the new characters oh I like
that they're doing a smart steering feature for new players to learn how to use it yeah oh no I
think that's that's really good form because I have a lot of friends who are like they don't want
to play against me and they're like you're jerks on my own that's fine well they're also now
doing the ability to carry two items at the same time yeah oh yeah it's like like a carry over
from the arcade game like double dash yeah um now the the tracks that I saw I know where you're
going with it they're splitoon based I wonder if that's part of the battle system or the the new
battle mode oh yeah they have they have paint and everything including for the battle mode so I'm wondering
like are we not getting new tracks to race on but we're getting new tracks to do battle mode on
maybe okay okay and uh tech ins release date may have been leaked a screenshot was put up
that said your tech your new tech and it will be May the 28th but the official announcement's
coming this week I hope it's bad in that last one and Halo Wars 2 is finished and ready to go
release date is February the 21st did you ever play the first one statement were you ever
Halo Wars oh no I like Halo period I I can't stand call a duty by I love me some Halo I'm
not good at it but do Halo I'll take Halo over and call a duty well Halo Wars is nothing like Halo
Halo Wars is more like Starcraft Command and Conquer it's it's what Halo was originally supposed
to be in the first place before it went first person shooter it was created as this format okay so
they finally did it with Halo Wars and then that company was local actually uh I can't think of
any of the studio but it was a Dallas-based studio it was our last game before they folded oh yeah
Steven any Nintendo information that you want to get or that you can give us at this I remember
you said if you want to give us what you can but I know some of it a lot of it is just pricing you know
you got your joycons and everything and stuff like that new joycon if you let's say you lose
aside panels on the on the switch on the on the game pad you know those are going to be about
fifty dollars the pro controllers are going to be about sixty um everything's kind of up in
price because I they're taking a big gamble on it thinking that this is going to be it's going to be
the mecca of gaming for at least the next three years what is your thoughts on the two 99 price
point how it jumped I'm I'm okay with I mean there's an average price it hits the market just fine
my fear of it I thought they were going to over price it they marketed it great but because they didn't
do that with the Wii U so I figured they were going to you know over market it and then over price it
but the two 99 being 300 bucks I feel that's a fair actually a great price for what it is
because you think about it's a tablet a console a 3DS it's it's it's multiple things that you could
have in one and I I feel that's an amazing price for it you got to buy you got to you got to you know
stick your stick your toes into the water a little bit and try it out but the one thing I think that
heard some a little bit isn't the fact that the library it doesn't have anything the first opening
you know they have no launch towels and Zelda well it's something Chad brought up last week
on the show that I wanted to ask you about is in the marketing of this we're seeing a lot of places
there's a there's a game stop near where I worked where they're like look we're going to have 35 of
them and it's first come first serve so reserve yours now is are you is there are a lot of places
that are experiencing that are they're just companies that are making small orders to try to
avoid flooding the market no what they're doing is they're basing it off of the the micro
NES system so that was kind of the the NES classic the NES classic they they sat there and they're
like all right we're going to put we're going to put a 200 out see how many people buy it was sold
out in a minute they want to do that with with the switch just just to get a touch and go because
it makes it a little more better and it grows more money because the the way the world is now
is if you can't have it you want it more I don't know but are but are is the plan we're going to
release some and then we're going to release more because I think part of the thing that make
it's making people gunshot was you did an initial release but then it took forever you for you to
make more of them and release more of them is there a more timely timeline this time oh yeah
no no no they have they actually have they have a full set market like the Wii U right now they have
a full set market but what they want to do is to see what the pre-sales are and like you know
like you said some of the place will only have 35 a lot of the places especially in the Dallas
market Dallas is really fickle about buying things okay and and like I can go to Santoni on
go to Jersey I can go to New York and they're sold out in the matter of minutes Dallas you
can you can have a touch go everyone Dallas no matter if it's 150 30 or whatever they're all sold
out all over the place targets best buy game stopping thing like that and I think the switch is going
to exceed expectations because people are going to want to buy it that's March 1st is your release
March 3rd okay March 3rd which is a Thursday or a Friday okay Thursday and I feel like
it's it's genius the way they're doing it because I feel that they actually that is a Friday
oh it is all right well I feel like if they through all of it out without doing the pre-orders
and stuff like that and just said hey we have you know four million consoles out for sale
it would plummet but if they make it an exclusive thing people want to fight for the exclusive
right so the color controllers things like that so but the but the timeline is going to be a little
bit more aggressive of more availability for oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah because because the way they
want to see it is see how how well it it test out so if they say we're only going to have it available
for a week it's pre-orders and now that's what worries me so they're going to sell all their pre-cells
and then have nothing in stock other than their pre-cells it was the thing when Nintendo the
two highest game the highest selling game consoles and all of gaming history are the 3DS and the
Wii I think Nintendo is okay with what they're doing and they marketed this and they didn't market
the Wii U no they didn't yeah I think that really hurt the Wii U a lot yeah but but the Wii U was just a
stop gap they even said it was literally just a test it was a stop gap it was a necessary step they
get to the square because all of the switches a combination of every Nintendo game console that
it's been made pretty much they took elements from all of them so the Wii U was just stopped gap
you know here hold you over shut up shut up I love that system the Wii U is still one of my
favorites this time right here with you I really when Chad brought it over here that one day I was a
big fan of it we we played it every other night we played last night last night Margarita night so
it's it's a great console but anyways I think they're trying to market it the right way and everything
like that and I I also feel like because you water died they're also trying to be financially
responsible because they have shot their load where they made too many consoles and sell some of them
hard to wait and the Wii the Wii U was part of it where they're like oh we just we we overhauled it
and we didn't see that coming and nobody understood what it was when they marketed it because they
didn't market it well and this is why they're like we're only gonna have this amount available
but we have more made like the amount that they had made was last October and it was like astronomical
like it was more than like the Xbox and playstation 4 but then it's only a third of it is available
to purchase right now at launch date so excuse me so that's what they're trying to do is just
see how it goes see how it is and with it being sold out everywhere right now on pre-order sales
it'll be available in about in about a month after it does make me kind of sad though just knowing
that Zelda Breath of the Wild is the last scheduled release for Nintendo on the Wii U that's it that's
the final curtain call for Nintendo on the Wii U good game to go out on but it did the same thing
with Twilight Princess that was the last game cue game before the Wii U shooting yeah
anything else that we need to talk about in tech talk um uh uh i'm not supposed to
complete talk about it but i mean it's already out but Nintendo Switch is getting a Pokemon Sun
and moon third game that's gonna be on the console and i'm going to play I would expect nothing
less and here for me that's it before we get a tech talk to plug it again what's coming
up in March uh March 4th um Collinsville Illinois next to St. Louis Missouri it's about 45
man drive it's um Pokemon regionals all be a part of the juniors division commentary team for
the VGC tournament for the video game championships i'm not going to be a part of the trading guard
tournament but you know you can meet me out there i'll sign your Pokemon cards or whatever you
guys like doing before all right is it is it only going to be on twitch or is there going to be
other platforms will be brought just on twitch because it's regionals it's you know it's you kind of
have to dig into it if it's nationals or worlds they they expand a little bit do it on youtube live

watch it how did i know that was coming by the way 17 nine new England okay so i was thinking
this week i've been having a lot of talks this past week more than normal with people about music
and how music has evolved in it's purchasing state how you can really we used you said to buy a
whole CD and it will be like two good songs on it but we now live in an era where if you want one song
you can get one song indeed so i got me thinking of can i name my top 10 albums from my
lifetime that i can still put on listen to all the way through not necessarily 10 CDs i take to an
island but 10 albums that to this day i can put on listen to all the way through from track one to
end of track last track and still greatness to me you have my attention number 10 is one you
know of but haven't listened to enough of it is the self title album from christian musician rust
half okay now did you listen to that whole album or is it just i still believe uh you'd have to
give me some of the names of some of the tracks on there i'd have to read that don't have it right
to me the best album he ever recorded rust half 4 million with the imperial is a very old school
gospel group branched out on his note owned it a lot of great stuff uh i love this album it's again
his version of i still believe from the lost voice soundtrack is phenomenal he is such a great voice
number nine total four this is the album that has both rosanna and africa as well as uh i won't hold
you back one of the very first albums i ever purchased with my own money on vinyl really i still have
my copy to this day sitting over your left shoulder uh this to me was their best album i'm a huge
total fan i love a lot of their stuff uh mickey i'm gonna say out of bounds um but it's one of
those albums that takes me to a specific place in my in my childhood and i have such a special place
for this album in my heart and it's just amazing straight through number eight we go to the year of
our lord nineteen ninety two as dc talk releases their third album free at last this is far
in a way the best album they ever recorded a lot of people were referenced jesus freak that is not
dc talk to me this album is dc talk to me this was an album that where their their stuff
stopped being cheesy because my best friend in florida riko when i we talk a lot because this is
one of the groups that we really dig and those first two albums are tough to get through it's kind of
like picking up bobby browns king of stage you're gonna pay for it and then you're gonna pay for it
that's the way their first two albums were but they were popular because they're one of the very
few christian hip hop acts at the time but with free at last they really kind of came into their own
they do a really cool song where they they sample uh jesus is just all right from the dubie brothers
and kind of put their own spin on it there's some really strong themes on this album that i'm a big fan of
and this is also kind of where everything changed for them because jesus freak would come after this
and things would go nuts out for them so that's the way they kind of matured you could say that
artistically this is really matured number seven you see the t-shirt on wearing and i didn't do this
on purpose i just realized i was wearing this t-shirt tonics first album lemon parade 1996 i believe was
the year uh actually yes because last year was the 20th anniversary and the reason i have this t-shirt
was they went back redid the entire album acoustic and it's at i'll obviously Mikey it's really
really well done i actually you're on his wheelhouse now they had a what the music version of a go
fund me and i pledged fifty dollars to help them complete this album so i got the t-shirt i got a
signed copy of the cd and i got a digital download of the album dude it's real it's the entire album
and it's it's got it's good a little parade inch here to we're both really good both but and even the
the the the the self-taught about that take me as i am on it great but wasn't very music friendly
i'm a huge fan of these boys always have been if they if they ever come to town again i'm there
because they're just you know they're amazing and lemon parade is one of those rare albums
from the mid nineties that beginning to end every track on that album is strong my actual favorite
track on that album is mountain because it starts out real kind of mellow and then it just hits
you clean the face about a minute in and it's really the lyrically they know how to write
musically they rock your face off and this album did not get nearly the love it should have
like had three singles you had uh if you could only see or no yeah if you could only see um open
up your eyes and soldiers daughter was actually a single but didn't do as well as I thought it would
um the title track is a heartbreaking song but it's beautifully written number six another one of
my favorite albums from the nineties gin blossoms new miserable experience their first album
it's a little dated when you listen to it but it's still amazing as an album uh this was the album
that gave us hate jealousy this was the album that gave us found out about you uh there were
three or four singles off this album uh they also did a country song at the end of this album
and the the chorus basically says you can't call it cheating because she reminds me of you
somehow i don't think that would hold up in court but okay great it's it's it's a lot of fun
the guy that wrote most of this album was the one that uh removed himself from this moral
coil shortly after it's released so when you go and you listen to congratulations i'm sorry
there is a drastic difference in the song writing qualities because it's none of it was this guy
number five i think another one of my key favorites if i'm not mistaken
counting crows Augustin everything after really you didn't like this album no i'm out of the
there they're their first album huge fan and i like this album because every song is so different
from the rest of the album it's not necessarily a different genre but the songwriting styles are
different whether it's perfect blue buildings and it begins Mr. Jones murder of one
round here there's a reason that i'm out of a counting crows fan which is like to hear that
reason you know it tonight one of our themes has been secret origins of Mikey so let's do it
i was a graduate assistant at Sam Houston State and they rolled through town to have a concert
they're on campus and this is much many years later yeah it was my responsibility to take care
of the band to get what they needed prior to the concerts they had a you were there liaison
yeah i had to get some of the things that they had on their lit their requirement list
their writer certain certain liquors certain foods and the guy was just a big d i've heard that
and i've heard that i mean you see when he was had dreads back in the day that's all i'm gonna say
a little patchouly going on there yeah i've heard that about adamdoritz but i just i i can
separate myself because that album is just so good i've never been a fan of that band number four
probably got another guy that maybe has a little patchouly stink to him Chris Robinson and the
boys of the black crows shake your money maker that first album was strong in 1990 even the follow-up
southern harming a musical companion also a very good album that kind of fell off after that
for me but this first album is to me is a more complete album than southern harming a musical
companion was uh this is the one that has hard to handle and she talks to angels and jealous again
and twice as hard and other things you know uh uh you're welcome internet you went there uh
number three we go to your wheelhouse sir and i know you're gonna argue me into the ground because
you and i have this discussion quite often yep but my favorite prince album is diamonds and
pearls i love this album 1991 big booty girl oh no they really weren't i'm in a pearl weren't
i'm sad but from from the opening track thunder all the way through live through love i know you hate
Tony M and you have every right to because do the logic is sound i can separate it i love this album
i can roll with you until we got to juggated and then shhh yeah i like the way juggated ends
check it's funny to me um i live i live i live listen to live for love on a
lightweight juggated it would take me a day and a half to listen to it four times but
the live version is amazing money don't matter tonight one of my favorite albums
but didn't despite direct that video yes there were two versions of it but
insatiable come on oh i'm at it i can't argue with there are ladies right now listening to
this show and i mentioned the name insatiable they're pregnant right now that's what that song is
yes the title track was in your first wedding set yes it was uh stroin is a fun song
to be for sure it just comes off as a throwaway track it's just it's kind of one of the thing
the high point of it is the guitar um but get off we get off we get off the first single right
get off was released on his birthday of that year and the album followed in October so it had a heck
of a lead time which and he would even do the VMAs before that album huh he did the VMAs and he
did an appearance on the Arsenio Hall show that same weekend that was one of his best television
appearances ever you haven't you videotaped and you haven't someone yeah i've got i've got it on several
formats actually uh number two also from that era James Taylor new moonshine i figured there was
gonna be a Taylor appearance on that was the album that made me appreciate James Taylor
he has this cover of Sam Cook's everyone everybody loves the cha cha cha on that album which
i'm absolutely adore there's a song called like everyone she knows that destroys me every time i
hear it um and when the king actually covered one of the songs on that album called like
got the stop thinking about that uh which has one of the greatest former lover songs i've ever
heard written where he says i wonder who'll be loving you next some fool will be writing bad checks
i love a good somebody somebody done me wrong song he also has a really good cover of the water
is wide on that album which is amazing again this was the album that made me a James Taylor fan
that made me go back and listen to the stuff in the seventies number one from my favorite
Christian music band of all time white heart nineteen eighty nine the freedom album what they did
not know is after they would release the album the world would change because within six months
of the albums released the Berlin wall would come down and communism would fall and so everything
was timed perfectly the best album they ever recorded one of the best concerts i've ever been to
was on that tour i've still got the i have a shirt archive in the toy box that sits in the closet
here in the studio my tour shirt is in there it's a nineteen ninety the year freedom um this
would also be the last album that Tommy Sims would play bass with them on and he had already left
the band by the time the tour came to our town so i never and Tommy Sims is one of my favorite
bass players in the history of ever and so i never got to see Tommy Sims live but the guy that
that replaced him are a lawyer i'm also a big fan of play with Jeff Moore in the distance play
with Steven Curtis Chapman as well uh this album no matter if it comes on the iPod number one
it's a stop down number two nobody bothered me for the next four to five minutes because i'm not
i'm not going to take my earphones off to listen to you because i'm listening to something from
his album the i remember when i heard this this album the first time back in the day you go
your Christian bookstore and they'd have a bunch of demo cassettes that you could just put into
a little awakman and you could sample it before you bought it uh reco and i were already fans
from their previous uh two albums and the way by by Babylon starts it just grabs you by the
throat says this is your life for the next forty five minutes and i remember hearing the end of
by by Babylon and taking off the headphones and rewinding the tape and looking at reco and going
you have to listen to this and he looks at me it's like i have to i'm like you have to and i put
the headphones on him and he got through by by Babylon and was just like what just happened here i'm
like this is a purchase today uh is it is one of my favorite albums of all time it captures
a time in my life that was very crucial to who i am today uh by a group of guys that i'm a huge
huge huge huge fan of uh anything that you guys they've just come to mind for you guys oh yeah
oh yeah y'all go ahead i'll go last well uh there's a couple about prints alone the gold
experience purple rain i like both of the gold experience i can't say i kill us to all
through purple rain to me i didn't put purple rain on my list because that's a that's a given
well because to me that's where it all started that's it again it has to go on but that's just one of
those albums that's just a given period um and uh other than prints i would have to say
Michael's dangerous dangerous was such an amazing album that i think a lot of people overlook yeah
Michael uh George Michael's faith may he rest in peace and depression modes violator oh nice
violator was yeah that was the violator is the the the depression mode album now there are people
that i know that you know that are like much deeper depression mode fans and most people but
and they would probably argue this into the ground but that is the album oh yeah period end of
statement it was there i know that they would did a lot of people would say that music for the
masses began their crossover someone's even early on that with people or people but violator is where
they truly crossed over because they were going a little bit more guitar heavy on things i remember
the first time i heard personal jesus no enjoy the silent oh god and i was like that that song will
change your religion yeah that that that that that that album just gave me goosebumps from
from start to finish yeah i don't think i have 10 i think i only have four or five that's how i go
him yeah no i have a rancid indestructible i have Metallica's master of puppets master of puppets
as you see the new book that's out about that no they released a new coffee table book that's
about the making and touring of that album because that was Cliff Burton's last album it's i
when i get a little bit of money that's actually what i'm buying barbed wire for a belated
burger yeah i'm i had to look at that one uh you know uh nauseous ill magic oh brother you
ain't lying and then my favorite band of all time and the first the first album they came out
with but block parties silent alarm wow go ahead get into the crate very nice that is the best
the best hands down album start to finish for me personally and i can i have a damn my
iPod in my car i was listening to one of the songs on the way here that that album does not get
old i could be 13 years old and i could be my age now i could be 25 or 26 years old and it's still
the best of my ever heard that defines great music for me is at least me no and it's every time
block party is still my band wow nicely done best album ever mighty i'm gonna couple um getting back
to prince there's two prince albums that i can listen to i guess want to start to finish yeah
go ahead the one on the right no it's one on the side of the times uh yeah i should have yeah
that's another one of mine too i know my boy i know he's a huge fan of that of that
sometimes in gold or or two of the albums that i i have on repeat a lot for me gold had a couple
of points roe just kind of like a like what i'm just i'm not a fan of another level holding
head that's off of parades i thought that was on no that's parade that's off of the
out of the sharing mood sounds okay i'm not Billy jack b is one of the songs i heard from that
album uh incubus both of oh i figured that was coming there first two albums were strong yeah
STD anything by STD there's a couple of stone tip of politics core or purple are you a
like purple and i like for those of the two that i i listen to quite a bit after that they started to fall off
they kind of did there one song of theirs i could listen to on a loop is interstate love song
yeah i love i don't know how the how we got to this segue but but think of it all those band
right there i don't know how it because it doesn't relate but the clash lending calling
look at this column is constantly one of those currently constant people list i'm a big fan of the
clash i love the clash i love that album that is good i think there may be one track i don't
like but just one or maybe two but that's a good one i don't know how STP maybe things that
mic anything else those are the one thing i think i've talked my head right now all right
