The Clubhouse – Episode 26

Well, I don't know why I keep it tonight, I've got to feel there's something right.
It is eight o'clock on the east coast, it is five o'clock on the west coast, anywhere
else in the world. Look at your watch, whatever it says. If you're listening to this on the archive,
same deal. Look at your watch. I can't tell time for you. It is Tuesday night. You are on Ustream.
Misty's in the chat room. It is time for the clubhouse with Rob and Cody welcome.
I am Rob as always. I am joined by Cody. Hello. New year, sir. New year. And this song kind of works on
a couple of different albums. One thing that hasn't changed, the big ten is still horrible at football. So
2010 and 11, nothing changed. Just kind of a little roll over. Yeah, you know, we can do that.
We'll jab. Remember this song, it's going to come up later. Episode 26, which means next week,
is a very big show. Next week is a very, very big show. We'll talk about that next week. Very excited.
We appreciate you being here with us. Hope you had a very safe new year. Hope you had a good new year.
I had a blast over the weekend. Yes, our wife's parents were in town. We put a new door on our house.
Very exciting times. A couple of new things we're going to add in the show starting tonight.
But as always, we have to start with corrections. A grind to my gear segment.
That's reserved for family guy. You know what grinds my gears, America? You, you America.
I'm not saying the next one. As we do, we always start with corrections. We have one.
Yeah, I thought this about a second after I left your mouth. I think I might have my conferences.
Crossed. You said something last week and the more I thought about it, I went back and looked.
I thought the big 10 championship next year was in the arena or whatever you want to call the
stadium of the team with a better record. It's indie. It's in Lucas Oil Stadium because you mentioned
that and I looked it up. Maybe it's the pack 10. Now the pack 10 have they have not determined
on a championship game as of yet. Okay. Somebody has said we're doing it in the team with the
better record. That's me. That's my bad price waterhouse did call me and remind me to look into
that. So I did. Man, if it's if hopefully their their championship game will look better than
their bowl game. So with an S head that a rough Saturday day. We'll get that. The legend versus
the leader in that game. That's the oil barrel. So so Rick Flair is going to take on Hogan.
Okay. I'm sorry. I'm the loser now. I've been flair and savage. Remember the fake pictures?
Another show. Hold on a show. The wheels are already off tonight.
Oh.
The trailer victory and the agony of defeat. It's a great gym. Okay.
The human drama of athletic competition.
Oh, right. It is time for an act. One of this thing as always is sports talk. We always start
with NFL talk. Only one a couple of headlines we're going to get into. The regular season is over.
The Minnesota Vikings are not in the playoffs is Brett Farve done. I say for finally I can say
this with a 99.9% assurity. Yes. Yeah. You know, I wonder if he ever regrets this year. He's
oh, he's going to start regressing the last two or three. Yeah. Regretting that regressing.
Yeah. This thing didn't didn't work out. I like the new when the new head coach Leslie
Frazier when they introduced him yesterday. He said he's 99% sure that he'll won't will not
call Mississippi asking Brett Farve to return to the Minnesota Vikings. So Rachel Nichols,
if you're listening to this show, do not make plans to be in his front yard for a month now,
which I'm sure she's very excited about. He's done. I mean, what a what a career. If you really
think of his career and how it how it ended things that's come out the last couple of months,
I think shocked a lot of people, but kind of went out with a. I just I think he spent the last
three years tarnishing his entire legacy. He wasn't in the front yard. He wasn't medically
cured to play. I was shocked. He showed up on the sidelines. I didn't even know if he'd show
up for the game. And much less in a Vikings t-shirt. That's what got me. I was like, wow,
he really is going to wear their gear. I really didn't know he might have been up in a knowners box.
But I think for Minnesota, it's going to be what's what's next. I believe on throughout some names
here, I think make nabs a possibility for them. I think Washington's going to do something stupid
and just keep him around. I think they draft a quarterback. I think Minnesota drafts a quarterback
and I think they bring in a veteran. And I don't think trading for Carson Palmer's out of the
question. You know, that's not a bad theory. I think he needs a change of scenery. I don't think
that's out of the realm of possibilities. I'm not going to debate that. That's actually not a bad idea.
So, okay, we've got two different segments with this same next title.
But right off in the sunset, Brett, thanks for the memories. I'll always remember the wacky
from him. More than the greatness of him, I always remember the wacky, the throes that
did make any sense, the the weirdness of him. He was a strange guy on the field. So say,
lovey. Yep. Number Pat, all the records good and bad.
Always the one thing about him is that jets uniform. I see him that and I was like, God,
that did happen. Well, it's like Montana and that chief. Yeah, it's just like, whoa.
So it's like almost marino and a Pittsburgh uniform. If you remember correctly,
we've been eight men in a San Diego jersey. Yeah, the next segment. We go on to the first of
our two coaching caracels. Chad's joined us in the chat room. Hello, sir.
Early wed. That was very loud. Treating you. Wait, wait, been married. What? A little over 72 hours now.
Yes. Congratulations. Great ceremony. That guy that ran that ceremony.
Yeah, he went on the sauce, was he? Not that I'm aware of.
His in-laws are coming into town. Yeah, they keep it on the straight and narrow.
Eric Manjini out in Cleveland. Doesn't shock me. Doesn't shock me, but how much better are you going to get?
It's Cleveland. I've already said Drew Carrey not on the wish list. Well, I think if you think you can
make Colt McCoy a serviceable. I don't think he played that badly this year. No, he didn't,
but I think you better put an offensive mind around him. And cynical Wallace was on an ESP
enough affiliate in Cleveland yesterday saying that he felt like the team in the offense had no
sense of direction whatsoever. Is he playing for them? Yeah, he's their back.
So, Wallace is the back guy. I thought he was still in Seattle, but he said that his
the main problem they had was the play calling and things that were going on in pre-game and post-game.
They felt like they weren't allowed to run plays that they knew were successful.
So, Marty Morningwig is floating around this job. Really? Quarterback guy. I think they
wanted to. Morningwig or Morningwig is something like that. Something like that. And I wouldn't go out
of the realm's a possibility that home grinders don't come out of the office in coach.
I think that would be a terrible idea. Yes, it blows up in his face. Why can't you? But you know
what happens if that, if he does that, Jerry Fierce gear at the next day and becomes the head coach
the off-calum. No way. That would be funny though. If that gap there in Cleveland can do it,
so can I. Yeah, but not going to happen. John Foxx also out of a job in Carolina. No, but he
not see that coming. Carolina is back. They're a bad football team and they're already coming out
saying they will draft Andrew Lug a quarterback out of Stanford. If he does come out,
they need more than a quarterback. Yeah. And I don't think they gave
Clausin enough of a change. Well, they're already putting them bullet in his head and selling him off.
I thought that was a great fit for him. I would be shocked if he's not traded in camp or draft day
or something. Somebody needs him and they don't come back bottom in the rear end. Carolina
needs to get almost be a death. And I don't know that we're going to hear Andrew Lug's final
decision until we know. Well, this is something we're going to talk about a little bit later. But
I think Carol lives becoming Oakland of the South. We thought Marvin Lewis his contract was up.
We thought my he might be out of a job. Turns out just before we go on air, he get about
well, probably about three hours before two year extension. Well, not really extension, but a two
year contract. Someone asked him how much money played into it. He said none. He had a meeting
with the ownership this morning. Really thought maybe he'd stick his toe in the water out there.
Really? No. In Cincinnati. Didn't doesn't make a lick of sense. I know he is not happy with the
the Brown family that runs that organization. They're Cincinnati. I think he's always kind of
thought the organization. To me, Cincinnati since the 80s with Boomer and they made it to two
super bowls. Frank was his name. Sam Wiesch. Excuse me. I said Frank Wright. The biggie was in here.
But Sam Wiesch, I always felt like Cincinnati didn't have they've never had any real football
direction. And I'm shocked. He came back there because I thought that was a divorce wait to happen.
I'm going to tell you this that don't bring Chad back. Oh, Chosinco and Tio's not already not
going to be back. If I'm Lewis, I'm going let me pick the players Carson plays better without him.
In my opinion with you. I'm going to let you go on this next topic. Yeah. A Georgiak in Houston still
has a job to now he has been told according to sources in the Houston area. He's also been told
if he does not make the playoffs, his job is completely over as well there. He will be fired.
It Houston to me this year, if you really mind our course, I picked them. I put my name on them.
To me, they were probably one of the biggest disappointments in the league this year,
because they had Mario Williams, the events of tackle. I mean, Brian Cushing missed a few games
beginning of the year. But still, I thought they had enough with, of course, Andre Johnson.
To me, one of the best wide receivers in the game, they couldn't put it together. I think
Shob's a bad choice at quarterback. Now there's run links at Houston that way Phillips may be
hired to run the defense there. As odd as that is. Really. Yeah. So Phillips is now
there's people saying that's probably already a done deal in Houston. So Bums' kid returns to
Houston. You play college ball University of Houston. Yep. All Southwest Conference a few times.
But yeah, Gary Cubiak, I don't know man. I think that if I had, if I had other coaches, Houston's not
this isn't the old Oilers. I mean, there's some talent on that team. I got to let him go,
bro. I got to let him walk. Yeah, I thought that was weird. And they fired, as I reported,
fired a coach. Yes, kept him. That was what I mean, the decordinator Houston was 30th in the
league in defense. They were horrible. You know, you know, you know, you had a worst secondary than
them? Dallas. Dallas always had a bad secondary. But yeah, good luck to Gary Cubiak. I hope it
works out. I don't think you're the guy. But hey, that's why I'm here and you're there five years.
So as these coaching interviews get underway, there is always the talk that comes up of something
called the Rooney Rule. And for those of you that do not know what the Rooney Rule is,
the Rooney Rule states that if you're going to interview for a head coaching job, this is just
head coaching, right? Yes. You must interview at least one candidate who is considered a minority.
We think about that. If the real interviews, I don't mind. But if we're petting the dog on these
deals, I think that's a lot of what it is. I think most of these owners already have in mind who
they want to be the head coach of their team. Yes. I just, well, the one that's sticking out
and now is Dallas. Dallas Cowboys. There's rumors around. Garrett's the guy. It's all over town. I
mean, they reported this Sunday morning. Now the footwear star telegram. If you're local, that was
reported. The interview the wide receivers coach today. Now I did hear locally that he was in a
full suit. He had a briefcase. It was a three-hour meeting. So it wasn't just like it was just some,
hey, how you doing. But let me ask you this. Some things going on. But let me ask you this.
You put him and Garrett side by side. Who's going to get that coaching? I think that it would be
behoove to Jones to probably promote him to offensive coordinator. I can see that. He can wrangle
in T.O. Marion Barber. My hat's off to for Ray Sherman getting the interview and probably getting
a promotion out of the deal because if you've been through some of the Eagle maniacs, that guy's
had to coach in this town. That's five years. Roy Williams, T.O. All these clowns, Dallas brought in
Des Bryant. Looks like he might be a little bit of a sideline. A little bit of a diva. I think
Ray Sherman being promoted at the offensive coordinator is not a bad idea for Dallas at all.
And I think on a certain level, it helps these candidates because they can say
I interviewed, yes, with Dallas, and it gets them that experience. I just think it's a duel edged
sword that... Is it necessary anymore? I don't know. If you're qualified, you're qualified.
Yeah, if you can do it, you can. It cares. But it could also get your name into somebody else's
hopper that maybe you couldn't get before. You can say that about anybody. Exactly.
Tower. Speaking of coaches. Yep. And all I'm hearing, this ship has sailed. Is the hourglass
getting empty? Yes, I think the CBA has something to do with this. The collective bargaining agreement
for those of you that don't know what that means. Coward wanted three things. A franchise
little bit of history. Pull in the top office and a lot of money. I think if I think his choice
was he wanted to be the head coach of New York Giants. They're saying they're bringing their
head coach back. Scratch that one. So Kaufman is coming back. He is coming back. Okay. Okay.
Scratch that one. Miami one minute. They're keeping their coach. Now there's rumors coming out
that when Stanford was in Miami for the Orange Bowl, he did have a meeting with the owners of
the Miami Dolphins. He being. He being Jim Harball. Okay. Okay. And also I think Houston.
That was on Coward's list. It was New York. I know Houston isn't an option. Houston is on an
option. And I just think with the CBA, nobody's going to hand Coward a bucket full of money where he
may not coach a down a football next year. Yeah, for at least a year. Yeah, for at least.
Absolutely. Absolutely. So maybe there's not he's not out of time. He's just out of time
right now. Yes. I think he's out of teams for right now. He's not. I would be shocked.
And I know he played in C state. And I know he's got a big house in North Carolina.
I would be shocked if I could sit here in three weeks and go build cowards and new head coach
that Carolina Panthers. I'd be shocked if I said that. I can guarantee you they'd give him the
pull he wants. They give him the pull and they give him the cash. And if you're him, if you're going
I'm in my backyard. Two out of three ain't bad. That's true. But I'm going to tell you what
wouldn't shot me because I told you from the get go. I really thought that Carolina was a strong
possibility. I think he's going to have to take one in the face because I think Carolina needs more
than Andrew Luck and they need more than Bill Coward. I'll tell you that right now. Just my opinion.
Always I always think of him a guy that the NFL is a little bit different when he was here.
I think it's of what have you done for me lately, tight league? A lot of the league right now.
I need to build. I need to build. I need to quarterback. I need to build my offensive line. I need
to draft a lot of these guys want instant results. And I just I don't think he's that coach.
He's going to have to build a team. Okay. So that's that we now go. I'm going to miss it.
I know the island. Check it out. Do you get your packed up our suitcase? I did. I left a
couple of shirts behind. Yeah, I'll be back there next year. Well, you know, we're going to be we're
going to be dropping by. Yes. Just not as intensively. Yes. As we have been as the NFL week.
Week 17 came and went. Let me let me just before we get into the island. I like to send a memo
to Roger Goodell. I appreciate what you're trying to do. I truly, truly do.
But when you come out and you think you're going to keep people from putting their starters in
week 17 when they've got stuff locked up and we're going to make everybody play division
opponents in week 17, you probably didn't realize that most of those matchups weren't going to
matter anyway. There were a lot of blowouts. There were a lot of why am I playing in this game?
Because there's nothing that I can gain or lose by this going on this week. Exactly.
But some of them were actually entertaining. We will start out in one that wasn't. Well,
I wasn't going to say that, but two games here that had some significance. First of all,
Carolina, they locked up the normal pick in the draft last week. Well, this week things got worse
as they fall to Atlanta 31 to 10 with the win, which we'll get to the rest of the story here in a
minute. Atlanta does wrap up home food advantage in the best record in the NFC at 13 and 3 in the
first round by. Now, let's not get it twisted when you talk about the Atlanta Falcons. This is a
team that in the last decade and a half has proven to be always bridesmaid never abroad. I'm not
sold on them. I'm not either. Second of all, you had Pittsburgh going to Cleveland Brown,
as Eric Mangini coached his last game as head coach did know that then they lose to Pittsburgh.
Probably knew it by the third day. They lose to Pittsburgh 41 to 9. I don't know if Cleveland got
out of their own locker room. Pittsburgh with the win coupled with something we'll get to later
ends up clinching the AFC North. I've got two words. Troy Paul Molly. That's a totally different
team when he's on the field. Yes. So, yeah, Cleveland looked bad. McCoy 21 for 41 to 9 and a
touchdown. As you like to say pedestrian. Yeah, pedestrian. Nothing crazy. One I did like to see
Detroit. Six and 10. Nothing to lose. Nothing to lose. They won. They beat. They did beat the
Brett Farveless Minnesota Vikings 30 to 13. Barnburner. I think Detroit could be a team.
But don't we say that every year? I say if I had a dark horse, I'd pick Detroit every year.
Well, you did and we'll get to that here. But, you know, are they going to be
are they going to be a situation where they have to dump Stratford? It's getting close.
I think if if you're Detroit, you almost want to look at Andrew Luck if he comes out and find a
way to trade with Carolina because I don't know that that Stafford your long term guy.
And Kansas City had an old AFL Rob already come into come into the arrowhead.
A team that wore black and silver known as the Oakland Raiders. As they did visit the Kansas City
chiefs and blew their wheels off 31 to 10 Oakland finishes eight. Here's a question. I have a
question. I'm going to bring the music down because this is the craziest Oakland is in the craziest
situation. I think I am a man ever seen in all of sports in my entire 37th and a half by my
Sunday was my half birthday. So now 37 and a half years on this planet. You beat Denver twice.
You beat Kansas City twice. You beat San Diego twice. You beat everybody in your division.
Nobody in your division can beat you. And you don't make the playoffs. What the crap, man?
I don't know what Kansas City. I think they're out of gas and something that happened that will
affect that team. We'll get to later with Kansas City as well. I think Kansas City is out of gas.
Something about that team looks like they may fall Sunday. We go down to Boston where the league's
best record, best team in my opinion. They just trounce Miami 38 to something. I don't talk about that.
Exactly. But you had some very interesting opinions about that game. I got some Gooney on me from
Bill a check. I don't think you leave your starters until it's 30 to nothing at home last game
with the season. Everything's wrapped up. And I was a little upset by that too. But you know what?
That's Bella check. And if you don't expect that going in, then you're out of your mind.
The big one that I've kind of saw this coming. Number one hats off Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay upsetting
New Orleans in New Orleans ending the Saints. Ben win season 10 and sex. But again, not making
the blast. It was I think it was tough sledding the NFC this year. We thought the NFC'd be the
weaker. They end up being a little bit better than the AFC as far as their wild cards go. I think
the NFC is completely wide open when it comes to wild cards, individual winners. I don't
still think there's that been a difference between them. Be honest with you. Tampa Bay with the
defeat of New Orleans, Atlanta clinches everything in NFC. But my hats is off. I like Tampa. Hey,
you go for one win to 10. Freeman 21 for 26 to 55. I mean that kid. Him and a cigarette blunt
to the biggest stories in the league this year. Build it. Love it. The Jets beat Buffalo 38.
Seven to 11 and five. They get in Buffalo 4 and 12. Talk about the team. I think maybe out of gas.
Yeah, I think I think well, I think the Ryan factors warm out. And a game that almost got a
little shaky Baltimore wins 13 to seven. Yeah, that got weird. I don't know what's wrong with
with them. Flacco is so jackal high. Jackal high. Just over the map at times. It's nuts. But they do
win with the win. They they didn't get in as far as the division winner. They will be at the
Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead at Sunday. Tampa Bay. Like I said, not in, but they kind of
helped Atlanta. San Diego beats Denver 3328. Pointless game. Nothing on the line. Tim Tebow,
another solid day 16 for 36 to five. Two touchdowns. He might be the guy there. Two picks that
through two picks. So, but hey, still love the kids. Yeah, I wanted to do well. Still will wear my
jersey. Chicago loses to Green Bay. Ten to three. Yeah, I mean, it was a good game. Defensive
battle with the love. Love the Lovey Smith quote. Yes, Green Bay did get in and Chicago did not give
Green Bay a free pass into the NFL postseason. I think that was what Lovey Smith said. We're not
giving them a free play. He played his starters from first quarter till the clock said zero.
So again, we thank you for joining us. This is the clubhouse with Robin Cody each and every Tuesday
night at eight on the east coast five on the west coast. We are right in the middle of NFL
talk as we do our first act, which is sports on this show each and every week.
Sports sports. Indie. Well, Indie. Indie waited to the last possible second
when that AFC South. You know what? Again, if you're going to put the game on the line, man,
you're going to know who won the game kick. Yeah, I've been a Terry.
The guy is automatic. Minus Tennessee loses to Indie. Fisher. Well, you feel in or out.
There we go. You think he's out. I think he's gone. Indie wins the AFC South. Dallas.
In a game that I just think was meaningless. Yeah, I just you went. Well, the victim didn't even play.
No, but Dallas wins 14-13 late touchdown patch from Stephen McGee.
And you know what? Good on him getting some playtime, getting some, getting some experience.
Yes. Who is that? That is derriest Rutgers thing in the national anthem. Okay. Sugarball. Sugarball, sir.
San Francisco beats Arizona 38 to seven. They're coachless as we know.
New York beats Washington 17-14 to little too late. The Giants are out of the postseason. They will not
get in. San Francisco, man, you've got to get a quarterback there. You've got to. I never you never
would think the 49ers would never have a quarterback. You I see, you know, they had such
and it's all of a sudden it's like even Garth's Jeff Garth Sear was decent. Yeah, there. Yeah.
Houston finishes the season off with a win 34-17 and Sunday night. Not going to lie.
But before we get to that game, I have a point of contention. I want to go back to Saturday night.
I like to consider myself a consummate sportsman.
Watching the festival or what could be construed there in. Yeah. Send you a text afterwards.
Congratulations, your boys on a huge win, which we'll get to here in a little while.
The return text I get is thanks to words go rams. And I'm thinking of myself. I'm thinking
of myself, you know, Cody's supporting, you know, I like Sam Bradford. He's a good kid,
as Bobby Bowden would say. And then I realized who they're playing. And I'm like, that's
son of a motherless goat is talking trash about my dark horse. Well, your dark horse got the best
of me. Yes, we did. And we are in the playoffs. I am still alive. As they do defeat the rams,
yeah. First sub 500 team to get in the playoffs, they beat the rams 16 to six. I'm going to be
honest with you. That was one of the worst football games. It was like neither of them wanted to win.
It was like Seattle scored. And then it was like, okay, this is good enough. We'll be back in
the fourth quarter. It was a strange deal. A Charlie Whitehurst. You know what? Hasselbeck's getting
old. Yeah. Charlie Whitehurst. I don't know for a long time. I'm going to be honest with you,
man. If if I am the Seattle Seahawks with Mike Williams, they gave me three or extension. He's a
USC guy. Carol coached him in college. I don't know if I start. I just don't know if I start
Hasselbeck. Why would you? I just I don't know. I think he'd screw it up. I just I just love that
now Pete Carol can say my first share in the league. I want the division. Yeah. Don't don't ask
me what my record was. I got in the playoffs with the sub 500 players. You know what that sucker did.
He he tried to. Well, you know, everybody's there's always somebody dropping about the
EBCS system too. Pete, you're not doing anymore, bro. We're not there anymore.
Well, I saw the final on that game and I just laughed. I was like Cody was out there talking
trash to me when I thought he was just supporting his boy. I don't look at the schedule. I'm
woke up the next day like. So our wild card there. Hey, you're in it. A minute dark horse. Misty's
in it. I think you wouldn't you wouldn't get over the. Charlie's out. And of course,
your boy barbed wires in it. Yep. So. Okay, I'm going to go a little wild card weekend here.
Wild card weekend dinner plates. Yeah. Big weekend of football. Yeah. I'm going to start with the
where they will let me do the bowl game when they will air. Saturday Saturday after an NBC has
both games Saturday. So mark that on in your TV guide or whatever you have there. First
kicking off the day Saturday 330 Eastern 330 Pacific. Excuse me. 430 Eastern. I probably
butchered the time zone there. New Orleans versus Seattle who you got going to ride or die of the
dark horse. You're going to. I'm letting it ride. I think that New Orleans right now was very flawed.
Yes. As we saw on Sunday, they don't have that fire. Exactly. That they had last year where you're
like, these guys were going to be a role when we spoke yesterday. I also said that I also have
New Orleans on little on a little upset alert. For sure. I think they could be a team that
especially on the road. Seattle's loud stadium. You got a lot of stadium in the league. Yes.
That question. I like the way that quest field is set up. Yes. That is also 330 local time,
Dallas time, central time, 430 on the East Coast. Saturday night, you have the jets at the Indian
apolis Colts. A rematch of last year's AFC title game. Rex Ryan quoted as saying, we are going to
roll through Peyton Manning and go to Dallas for the Super Bowl. Memo directs Ryan at the end of
the day. He's still Peyton Manning. Yes. I like Indian this. I like Indian this big. I think I think
Indian explodes. I think Peyton's not going to go out first round in my opinion could happen.
Sunday, your noon game. Baltimore visits Kansas City. That's your arrowhead. Let me go back a
little bit. There's a stat I forgot to give you. New Orleans is your defending Super Bowl champion.
We talked about this earlier. How could we forget? Defending Super Bowl champion has not won a playoff
game the next year since the Patriots did it in 05. So remember that kid. This would be very
embarrassing if they got knocked out. But it would be apart from the course of the year. Yeah. But
with Seattle, I think New Orleans already blasted in pretty good earlier this year. But Baltimore,
Kansas City, noon noon. That's going to get Chippy, I think. I think it gets Chippy. I think Baltimore
wins pretty big. Baltimore is on a mission. Yeah. I'm not saying big big for Baltimore's winning by 10.
But that's in Kansas City. Yeah. That's in Kansas City. So Kansas City does that have that
home field advantage. You know what's going to be cold. You know it's going to be snowy but they
play in Baltimore. Yeah. But Kansas City. There's something about arrowhead. Arrowhead and get loud.
Yes. And then Sunday, to me, I think I'm the game I'm intrigued a little bit by. I don't think
it's a game. I'm going to watch the most of Green Bay travel stuff. Philadelphia. That Sunday 330
that's going to be fun for 30 Eastern Green Bay defeated them earlier in the year. They didn't put
Vic into halftime. If you remember, Philadelphia was going for the ends only end of that game.
I think Green Bay can get in and ruin some days. They're the only team I've seen hanged with New England.
To me, they're they're the story too. Yes. Green Bay finally getting themselves pulled on themselves
up by their bootstraps and getting things rolling again. Yes. That's going to be to me the most
interesting matchup to watch. So we've got New Orleans. I'm going New Orleans. I'm going New Orleans.
I'm going New Orleans, but I've got sell-ups all right. I'm going the other way with it. I'm going
Colts. I'm going Ravens. I'm going Packer. See, I can't go Packer because I've predicted
that Philly's probably going to be in the Super Bowl in Dallas. Yeah. But I've also predicted,
you know, Steelers, New England and the AFC title game too. So and whoever wins that game,
I think wins. This is not a contest. Right. I'm just going out stuff here, but that is that's your
week. One of the playoffs. Pretty pretty good slate. Interesting matchups. I think we've got four
four. I think if you're going to tell your happy. Yeah. I think if you're the networks, you're happy,
especially since you're getting ready to have a strike anyway. You've got your defending champs.
You've got the New York market. You've got a team who hadn't been in it in a while in Kansas City.
And you've got two classic teams with Green Bay and Phil Delfia. And you've got a superstar
in Peyton Manning. So you're represented and then you've got Seattle who you never know.
So I think this has a little bit for everyone this weekend. Full slate of games. Let's go see Hawks.
Help daddy out because daddy needs help right now. Let's go. Let's go Raven.
You've got to change alliances now because you don't have more. I'm all this. I'm mercenary guy.
You're a fan for higher. Miss the AN78. I'm a chief baby. Let's go Raven for misty.
You're going to like push her too far one day and she's just going to wall up you. Let's go to
the other side of this. We get into the NCAA. We've got the sugar bowl deep underway right now.
Another coaching carousel. This one's weird. Let's start with the team that's been through
the most coaches since the last time we were on air. The University of Pittsburgh fires Dave
wants that hires the coach out of Miami of Ohio who two days later is arrested for a domestic.
Now are we this wife? All I'm hearing is domestic. That's all I'm hearing. I'm just kind of
wondering the a domestic situation. The extent of this. What we were what we're dealing with him.
I've heard girlfriend slash wife. So hopefully he only has one of those. Yeah.
And then is fired the next day. Pittsburgh now looking for a coach again. Now there were some
people complaining they fired him going. Hey, hadn't been charged anything. Had been charged with
nothing. It's a private business. They have to do whatever they want. That's true. That's true.
You know, I'm just kind of curious. I'm just kind of curious where Pittsburgh goes from here.
I and I've heard nothing. I've heard. I've heard some interest in the assistant coach at Penn
State wanting this job. I've heard. Once again, I know this is a popular name. I have heard
leech because they might bleach. Why not? Why not? He's interviewing everywhere. I've got something
on that two in a second. But and then I've also heard Eric Mangini. His name's floated out there.
Why not? Why not? I have Bud Ford or Bud Foster. Excuse me. The deep sub coordinator at Stanford.
So I mean, there's a lot of names floating out there. Also,
after the festival on Saturday night, things got a little bit weird if your name was not the
University of Oklahoma, as the team gets on the show. Actually, there's a meeting in the locker room
first, right? That's what I heard. Where this stud running back Jackson out of UConn goes into a
private meeting with coach Edsel comes out and tells the team he's going pro, which okay, interesting.
That don't think anything of it. After the game team gets on the plane to go home,
coaches not on the plane. So the coach calls a conference call with the kids on the plane to
put some on hold for a half an hour as they're flying from Glendale, Arizona to Connecticut.
And then gets on the conference call and says, oh yeah, by the way, guys, I'm the new head coach at
Maryland. Good night. And then calls it a dream job. To me, that's a lateral move. That's not a move
up. And we've taken 10 years and built a program from D2 at best to going to a BCS bowl,
having a share of the conference title. And then good night, Irene. I'm going to Maryland.
Yeah, that was a very strange few few hours after that. Um,
Maryland's a decent job. I don't necessarily think it's going to be a situation where they're
going to compete for national. I just they are what they are. I think Maryland's in a situation
where they are what they are. But Maryland hasn't even been in the conversation. Football years.
I do have a switch. I do have some some leech news about the Maryland job. I know it sound like
that was somebody we thought that was going to really severely look at him. He was going to be
the heir apparent there to Ralph Regents. We all thought, um, interview Thursday last Thursday
went well, both sides and well, the ACC got involved and said he could not be a candidate for
this job. So he dropped his ESPN lawsuit. He said, no, they said you're no longer a candidate.
Really? Yes, that is was broken by a little uncomfortable four-letter radio network here locally
today. That's why leader broke that. That's what's happened is they ACC went to leech and say,
we they want you as the coach, you've got to drop this lawsuit with Craig James and ESPN about
you're firing at that tech. He said, no, they said have a nice day. It's kind of weird.
And supposedly, I've heard that he is a horrible interview.
Well, I mean, he probably brings a fifth with him. So, I mean, he is what he is.
Wow, but he's still outpiring, you know, I just don't know what I'm talking about. I just think it's
I think he's going to be a guy that he may have to go to New Mexico. He may have to go to the
Nevada. He may have to go down into one of these wax or a Mac or Mountain West and just coach and
try to get his name back up there and clean up this reputation because he is still thermonuclear.
Apparently, I didn't think he was, but apparently I was not correct in that particular assessment.
He just can't seem to get his foot in the door. Charlie, why is now your offensive coordinator
at the University of Florida makes no, come on down to Gainesville. Charlie will take you.
There's no sense to me whatsoever. I think I'm on board. I don't think. As a fan, I'm on board.
I don't want him as my head coach, but as an off. I mean, look what he did with Kansas City.
But just the thing is does Florida have the talent right now to not to run the top of offense?
He's going to run. We don't know. We'll know with nine months. He never could get it going
at Notre Dame. I saw that and went, okay? I think Florida is kind of, it's like you said to me
on the phone last night, Florida is building that staff around Munchchamp. Yeah, they even brought
in a defensive coordinator, which Munchchamps a defensive guy, but they brought in the defensive
line coach from the Seattle Seahawks. Who I guess was a Pete Carroll guy. Bring him back into the
college game to be the defensive coordinator, which now means Munchchamp all he has to be is the
head coach. That's what I think is setting him up for success. Yep. So I hope it works. Florida,
we need Florida good. We need Notre Dame good. We need some of these national powers back.
Michigan's going to be one that God. We thought at lunchtime today, Rich Rodriguez was out of a job
as we are in the middle of NCAA football talk here on the clubhouse with Robin Cody.
By four o'clock, central time, Michigan saying he's not fired as he met with the AD and the
president of the school today. I think this is all smoke and mirrors until the Stanford situation,
which we're going to talk about here in just a minute, all that dust settles. I think he's the
coach until they know if Harball wants the job. That's my personal opinion. My deal with the
Michigan job is I never was sold on Rich Rod from the get go because I think he's a guy. See,
I thought that was a weird hire myself. I think there's big program coaches, there's small program
coaches or medium program coaches. I think that Michigan was too big of a job for Rich Rodriguez
from the get go with him. I just didn't know. Well, you talk about beat going from being a big
fish in a small pond to being a decent sized fish in a much, much, much, much, much bigger pond.
I just don't know if I think the I'm going to take one thing to me and I'm sure there'll be some
people debate and stuff. I think one of the main main things with Michigan's downfall in recruiting
called football. I think it's got a lot to do with the climate up there with the economy.
I think everybody's migrating south also think that's why you're seeing this SEC dominance
when it comes these big 10 schools. Yeah, you know, they just had a Detroit U.C.
guys from Michigan recruiting to USC, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma. They can't keep guys there.
And I think it's just the economic times. Michigan, hey, you were great in the 20s and the 1800s.
Hey, this is real modern day post-World War II air football. So yes, it did. That's going to stay
there. But now let's talk about the Harbour situation. It is a situation. This is a guy who is
right now the bell of the ball. This guy is the new kid in school, man. And you know what?
I've always liked the guy. I like to mess a player. His brother, of course,
multiple coaches. Currently, there's rumors of that going around. If there's a coaching opening
anywhere right now, I believe the South Garland kernels need a defensive coordinator. He's all
the best for that. I don't know what's going on, but he's a guy that I think needs to stay in the
college game. Yes, if he's not in Michigan, why not stay at Stanford? Yeah, almost guaranteed.
If you say you get another year of Andrew Luck, if it wasn't for the academic restrictions,
I would say, full-heartedly, I think he could build a powerhouse there with the academic
restrictions there that them in place like SMU and they tend to have, man, they're fast.
How stay looks like they're watching the circuit. They're moving in slow motion.
That's easy speed, brother. I just, the 49ers keep swirling to me. I think this is a bad idea.
And I'm not just because it's San Francisco 49ers. And you and I talked about this a little bit
in pre-show. Any move that Harbaugh makes to the NFL, those expectations are going to be more
than he can handle. And I honestly believe that. Stay in the college game. Get a little bit more
skins on the wall. Go to Michigan if you have to. I mean, he's a Michigan guy. He's a Michigan
graduate. But I just think that, you know, right now, he's Vince Lombardi. I think it'd be fun to
see him at Michigan. I'll tell you what, he ripped that ESPN reporter a new one, didn't he? Yes,
sir. He let, he let her know. Yeah, and I agree. Right, that wasn't the place,
nor the time to ask those questions. Let's stand for it and enjoy winning the BCS game, you know.
But I hope it works out for him. I'd like to see him at Michigan staying the college game. I don't
know, man. I just, I just, I think Michigan might be, they might be past the point right now.
It's possible. I don't know if that, that's not a quick fix. I'm sorry. It's not a quick fix.
And Wolverine faithful. I don't mean people don't like red daughter of the X-Men.
Be patient. Yeah, I can't, it's a word you hear me say every week on this show. Be patient,
because it's going to take time. It's going to, yeah, absolutely. It's going to take some time.
It's going to, it's going to be a situation, I think, that it's going to be the right,
it's going to have to be the right coach in the right hire. That's the main thing.
Well, let's recap some BCS balls. Let's go to Saturday morning as my beloved university of Florida.
Gators. Hello, my team. I can't even think of their name. That's where I'm at tonight.
Not really an BCS game, but it was the outback ball. And we wanted to highlight it because it was
the final game at the University of Florida for Urban Meyer. Thank you, Urban. If you're listening
for all the memories, the national championships and all the awards, we, we, we appreciate you staying
on campus. Great win for him. Very gracious to Joe Paul afterwards. Joe Paul, I said Joe Paul's
one of his closest friends. I watched him. Joe Paul didn't know where he was at. Do you see him kind
of take a little, little quick kind of a kind of a playful punch at an urban in the free game?
Yeah, but he made out of no where he was, but you just love seeing Joe Paul on the screen. I didn't,
I didn't. I didn't. It makes me sad. I thought it was going to be the last game for both of them when
I see him. When I see him, I go, Joe, what are you doing, bro? 89 years old brother, destroying this one
time, a great program. You can't recruit. That's another deal, but Florida does win 3724. You know
what I was stuck out to this game? You had eight guys rushed the ball for Florida. Eight different
gators touched the ball. This was the team. Where was this team three months ago? Yeah, you had eight
different guys. That's what drove me nuts watching this game. I didn't even watch the first half
because I didn't want my, you know, I didn't want my blood pressure going out of control. But I thought,
and I thought hats off to Penn State. They kind of held their own with Florida for a little bit,
but then the pick, the end of the game, run back for a touchdown. That's the five nine corner.
Yes. Here's some of you don't hear every day. A five nine corner. That's right. Oh,
I'll say it's trying to score, but did they just fumble into the end zone? Yep.
Oh, that's it. So we then we go to midday Saturday as Michigan gets just undressed. Did they
just take like the Detroit Community College team and put their uniforms on them or Mississippi State
beat their beat them to death 50 to 14 and the score is not even close enough? So now we're
o and 2 in the big 10 on Saturday. Yes. Okay, continue on. And this was a game where I have to let
the coach go. Michigan looked lifeless. They did. They looked uninspired. They looked ill-prepared,
and they just flat out. I don't think they wanted to be there straight up. In my opinion,
well, if you want to give a game away, they did. Yes, he said they'll take it from you. They looked
horrible, horrible, horrible, real quick. Mississippi State took them to the 50 to 17. There was nothing,
there's no stats for Michigan. And I'll tell you who I felt bad for right about that same time.
Was there rivals? Yeah. Michigan State had to play an Alabama team. You talk about Matt and a wet
hand. I'm on my coin to phrase. And I'll tell you, you played a scalded dog. And I said this
from the get go. Even though because you said when we did bowl preview show that you weren't sure,
you thought Alabama had bought some steam. I thought I thought it was just they were going to come
out of there. And that was right. They came out of there ready to G. Oh, they were. They were
a scalded dog. They were a team that was on top of the world. We had them win it at all again. We
didn't see anybody beating them in August. Yeah. And now all of a sudden, you know, you're playing
in the capital one bowl at, you know, one Eastern on New Year's Day. And they left no stone
unturned. I think if Alabama beginning of the year, there, I think there's a mental breakdown
that keeps your team from winning back to back national titles. A lot of pressure too. I think
Bama's a prime example. They should have walked white the floor with South Carolina. They were up
on Auburn 24 to nothing. And then gave it away. I just on Thanksgiving day. Bama just had Bama had
some mental stuff go on in my opinion. But congratulations to them. Then we go to Saturday
midday. Yeah. 430 Eastern in Pasadena, which is going to play a role here in a little while.
You and I have a little Twitter fight or a little text fight that after. I even went back and
queued up the tape just to be sure. TCU. Why did they not? I mean, you said Wisconsin in was going
to hang in there. I disagreed. TCU and props to coach Patterson, stopping them kids from that
Gatorade bath. And he turned around and said, I'm going to say something. We play 60 minutes.
He let those kids know. Don't get me near me with that cooler till that says four triple zero on it.
Great game though. Great game. I don't know if TCU won it or Wisconsin lost it.
And see that was my thing. I have it. I thought I thought Brad Billima. I always knew he was
we was good for a loss for Wisconsin. Didn't think it could come in the Roosevelt, but it did. I
just don't think he's a great head coach. Both teams I thought traveled amazing. Now Wisconsin
a whole lot more than TCU. But it's still you could see that division down the middle of the
stadium with the purple and the red. Great great presentation of the Rose Bowl. It always is great.
I don't you almost don't care who plays in the Rose Bowl. You always watch it. Yeah, great game.
I think and Andy Dalton to me is a good player. I'd like to see maybe go to the senior bowl
and maybe get to the con by and get with the coach and maybe learn stuff. I think the guy has a
pro build. Is he a Thursday night pick? No. So you think he's I think he's draftable. I don't
think he's high. Okay, he's not a first pick. First round pick. Excuse me. The play of the game,
of course, you know, Wisconsin runs the ball nine straight times. Yeah, we talked about this
last time the phone. Two point conversion away and you end up in the game. From tying the game
and you line them up in the shotgun. I just if it ill him, bro, kill him. What are you doing?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I said this in the pre and the eat and the go back and find the
tape in the in the show we did on Pearl Harbor day. No. I'm talking beginning of the year. You're
talking college football, especially with this. I said with our good friend. Longing that holds
Wisconsin back from winning championships as they're badly coached. Look it up. I've got it. Yes,
I said that. I think that he's a guy. He'll lose you a few ball games. They're horribly coached.
Wow, but hats off. Hey, TCU. You want it. You did it. Send derella. The slipper fence. Go live with
the prince. You're done. That dead horse is dead. Quit beating him. Yep, you can't be. You can't,
you can't now be. It's kind of like Gonzaga in basketball. You're not sitting derella anymore.
Done it. Then we get to Saturday night as we go back to Glendale, Arizona. And again,
congratulations to your Oklahoma. Thank you. Got a little scary in the first half of that game.
Uh, but one it convincingly got the BCS monkey off your back got the Glendale Arizona monkey off
your back. Uh, now we can stop talking about it and start playing football again. They're
renorming. Uh, uh, Landry Jones, 429, 3 touchdowns. I mean, he was. He said a couple of records
that night and he made one bad throw when they got returned 60 for a touchdown. And you know what,
you, you texted me when that happened and you said that pic hurt. You remember what I told you?
I said, you got to remember Landry is going to give you that one mental error. He always does.
And you better be happy. He's doing it now and not deep. I just think that's something that
may keep keep him from being elite. Oklahoma does win 48 to 20. Covered the 17 point. Yes, she
did. Didn't make it. Didn't not see that in the first half. You didn't. I was like, I'm still in
this thing. I did not see that happening. Uh, great all around game. I thought the defense was
phenomenal. I had to pick sixes late in the game to really put it away. Hey, we won the game.
Stoop said it best. We didn't pick who was on the schedule. Yeah. You play who's in front of you.
Yes. Especially in bowl season. I do have, you know, we talk last night. ESPN tried to make that
not a BCS game. They took all the feel out of it. But that's what they do, especially when it
becomes the BCS and the University of Oklahoma. They wanted to be the network that carried the game
of that next big team like the boys. If I heard Millen, if I heard Millen say one more time, boy,
if you can't, could cut this to one score. It'd be great television. Well, I don't like Nick
Dunna and I didn't like him. That's what made me mad. So your brother in law's checking in says,
you conscience sick to women's basketball. Did you see that yesterday? Get there. Not number one.
Yes, Baylor. That's off to the Baylor Bears women. Next. Okay, how we did women's sports.
Okay. Again, that's Cody. I'm Rob. Um, but you know, it's, you can't, you came around.
You got, hey, you can't want it to be respected. They did. And I thought that running back,
they have is very, very well. Love, love that story they told in the pregame about the kid.
Jordan Toddman, that kid that got killed last year. Touchdown Arkansas Thai ballgame.
Of the story about the kid who died last year. Yes. Good. And his best friend came out right before
the game where he is. And he had a great story. He had a decent game. I'm going to tell you.
And I know that I don't like to do predictions really in January.
But I'm going to tell you, if we can get all the guys back, we can get the band back together
for one more run. I think, I think there's some teams. I'm saying, I'm saying, I'm two teams
right now. I'm going to watch three teams preseason pole Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas,
the TCU. I was going to say Texas is still a little ways off, sir. But TCU, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
It's going to be a fun year. I think I think next year, those could be your cream. They're very
young teams, very young teams, bring a lot of guys back. There's a lot of fun. But that was one
thing. Just kept getting on my nerves as well. You know, if we could do this and then we get to
last night, as we have the next to the last Monday night game of the year, although not in the NFL,
again, this game's 30 minutes. We're doing okay. This game went 60 and Stanford went,
okay, take the lead off. You know, I knew Andrew Luck was good. Oh, good Lord Jesus. He just,
he did something. I mean, he just really got out there. Tyrod Taylor hats off to him. For some reason,
he's never been able to get the full meal for him. The groceries never seem to get right with him.
Great quarterback. I think it's a great athlete. Reminds me so much of, he knows he reminds me of
McNabb. Does he? He had, he's not, he's not an NFL player. He could catch on somewhere.
But 40 to 12. That was a six point game. And they got, they got to, they started with a safety.
Yes. What a mess. That Andrew Luck. They had anybody stop him. Virginia Tech, you know what
played was killing them. The shift. They could not handle that two, tied in, set, and that running
back went up through the gut of that defense every time. Every time I looked over there,
he was stricken up the middle of the field. But hey, Jim Hardball hats off to you. You want it?
Stanford won a BCS. Hey, it's off a great season. Great, great to see L.A. and of course,
Jim Plucket on Stanford sidelines last night. Yeah. A lot of fun. Good to see Stanford.
Orange Bowl not sold out. That bothers me. I can remember that was a little bit bigger class of your
game. I don't know why they wanted to finish that bowl. I've never stood that back. Would let
Stanford's band on the field at halftime due to their controversial shows for the whole year.
Had the theme was supposed to be recent sports events in Miami was supposed to be the theme of the
show. Lebron alone. I was like, uh, beating that horse. We got a couple more games coming up as
the week goes on. But let's go to our bowl, pick them updates. As you know, last Tuesday night,
Cody was up five games. I gave you a little bit of a run. I know what I think as the week went on.
You and seeing Tennessee killed you did it. Double O.T. I'll pull that out.
So the score is now 19 to 13 Cody. I cannot come back because three of the remaining
games we both have picked together. So you have won this thing. Congratulations. I've still got
locker the weekend right now. I've got our course on. So I feel good about it. I think the
sponsors, you know, would you do this sort of thing like the last car. Got a little
nasty car right there. But we have the Carl's Jr. South Garland High School Chevrolet.
Got the thing. Refreshy. Refreshy. Actually, no, tonight's clear America. Rose art pencils.
Are you just gonna pick stuff on your desk? Mo. Mo. Always got to think Mo. Most tavern. Yeah,
it was fun. That was fun. But man, that was it. You don't realize we picked a lot of games that
night. No, Chad, you're right. They did a pre-game show, but they were not allowed to perform
in halftime is what I'm saying. Originally, it came out that they were banned, but then it came
out later that they were okay with doing the pre-game. But that wasn't going to be televised.
14 to 7 Arkansas off the Ohio State fumble. No, that's just seven. Seven. Hang on.
Did we just, yes, they just scored. Did we just re-show something? Hang on.
Okay, we'll catch up here in a minute. Come on, little kid. Did I rewind live television?
That was not because that was the exact same play. Maybe a little glitch. They were saying,
man, they scored points that quick. We're re-showing stuff, apparently.
We had a lot. Okay, Chad, saying that's right. Both bands played pre-game. The
Google dolls did the halftime show. And for those of you playing the home game, they were
at the win-star New Year's Eve in Oklahoma. They played the Orange Bull on Monday night.
Huh. So I guess we're replaying the touchdown. Maybe there was a challenge they were
re-chocusing. I don't know. That's weird. Seven seven Arkansas now.
Okay, all right. Officially. So next Monday night is your national championship game,
which things are going to get kind of weird for me, because I will be national championship
intensive. So I may be watching Raw Online or something. Well, I do have some news coming out of,
oh, hold on, I got music for that. Hold on. Glendale. Hold on. Is this for this next part?
No, I get that cute up. Yeah, I got to get to, oh, it's actually, you have a minute and ten seconds.
Well, what's weird is, you know, usually these kind of places like for Oklahoma, New
Khan, the Hilton was packed out. All these other hotels. Adam's Mark. Yeah, with Alabama,
it's the the Motel 6 is red. Hey, hey, hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. Wow. You are just loose lips thinking
ships on the show. By the way, if you don't have anything to do on Thursday night, listen to Lonnie.
Oh, no. We remember Lonnie. That's him. Not me.
Part of sport. It's had to rib him a little bit. Part of sport. We missed him on Thursday night.
He was, he was out of pocket, could do a show. So, he had to rib him a little bit. We love that
guy. I mean, he was in my wedding. Yes. He's one of my closest friends. He was at mine. He was at
yours. Absolutely. Um, but yeah, to rib him a little bit. I know he's excited, playing for that
national title. I had to give him a, had a rib. Well, you said Alabama not Auburn. Well, Auburn
out. It's like, no, it's all the same schools. You're telling me now they're like in multiple games.
AmeriSweets, but Motel 6 super eight. Trails in. Wow. Okay, let's go on to this next feature
that Cody wants to show. You ready for music? Yeah. Yeah. For music called on wait for it in too. One.
I got this sent over. Um.
From, from a source, you know, I am a rivals. There's a rumor. And this I actually called this
Lakostra Nostra of college. Kosa. No, I'm not. Kostra Nostra. Hey, this is Mr. New Cular.
Lord. Um, there is a rumor going around a certain city with a certain team that it was Mr.
Bob Stoops that led Florida to much champ. Really? That they're thinking this was a little
There's collusion. Collusion there. People on the Texas staff think that you're in the middle of what I've
called now. And I want to copyright this phrase. This is what I'm calling this the texitus with
all these coaches. Um, something about that he was contacted by Stoops, obviously contacted by
Florida for the head coach and baking vacancy as he always does. Um, and Mr. Foley there,
the 4 AD asked him his glorified stunt man asking for his his opinion. And Stoops said, I,
you know, I've got a good a good a core from some players. Some friends of some players that play
for Texas that still keep up with my players that much champs not happy down there in Austin.
Yeah, I'll pick up a phone call. So I don't know if that's true or not, but I've heard that also
about West Virginia's hiring of Dana Holgerson, the offensive coordinator was at Oklahoma state
that he was going to be the, um, head coach at Pitt and West Virginia offered him more money
and met in the offensive coordinator at West Virginia. I believe this kind of stuff goes on.
Oh, I think there's always some of these things that get going with some of these people.
And I believe there might be a nudging from other coaches or players or nudge,
something like that. That goes that goes on there. But I thought that was an interesting story
that some of these coaches really want to be enemy. I thought that was kind of thought you'd
get a kick out of that. As we do get a kick out of this show, we hope you do each and every Tuesday
night. This is the clubhouse with Rob and Cody live on Ustream. Make sure you check out our

R-V-I-N. I am Cody PS Hawk. Oh, and make sure you're on our Facebook page. We are breaking headlines
round the clock that we're awake. And swing by the New Look website. Thank you Richard did a great
job on that. That's the new look. All the new logo up on the website. That's www.theclubhousewithRobinCody.com.
It's your one-stop shop. Yes. We are your one-stop shop for all things sports,
pop culture, and professional wrestling. Let us continue on with our sports talk with a little
something I like to call. Masking ball. Masking ball. Tell them curse blood.
The NBA. We are a month away from the break. Yeah. I'm going to go ahead and start this real quick
breaking news. A few minutes of hours for we were on the air. Karan Butler out for the year
from the Dallas Mavericks knee surgery. They're expecting Jirkin and Iskie back next week maybe.
That's what they're saying. Seems like every team, every time this, this team gets close. It gets
real dicey. Got guys getting hurt. Karan, I don't know, but I'll say one thing that hurts about
Karan. I think he was your trade bait to get Carmelo Anthony on this team. I don't think that
happens. I still think he goes to New Jersey. Or New York. Either one. In the Eastern conference,
Boston still up seven on the neck. Woo! In the Atlantic. That could shrink quickly though.
With Garnett. Well, Rondo came back. He played well last night, but it was Philadelphia.
I could be filled out. Chicago ate up on Indiana in the central.
Done well without. I didn't know how that thing was going to react without Noah.
Well, I think that they're going to play well enough to keep that lead, get him back and
then build on it. Miami 27 and 9, but Orlando won't go away. Miami's only up four. The
Western Conference has a lot of teams. Wait, what's the Eastern Conference right now? Eastern
Conference is with a lot of teams with single losses in the single digit loss. The Eastern
Conference is playing good. That's the ball. I mean, I think Boston's Realistic, New York,
Chicago. Miami, of course, in Orlando. You need eight to make up the field, but I'm not going to
say Indiana, Milwaukee. I mean, you're always going to have a couple of those. Yes.
But they've got a lot of good teams. They're Cleveland. Remember them? They had a guy that played
ball. They did. I think at one point. Yeah. And he made a decision. They were very cavalier
about it. We're made of made of made of decision. Yes, I did make that pun. They're 15 games out of
first place. Eight and 26 for the for the guys team. Well, the owner will win a championship without
LeBron. So well, 31 other teams. Can you fire the owner? I'm sure the city probably could.
Western Conference Utah won up on Oklahoma City. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City. They started
horrible. But see there, but they're one of those teams. Oklahoma City is one of those teams
that's going to get. They always get better as the year goes on. Yes. They always had that slow
start. Durant got blessed. The kid. He's really, I mean, I want that city. Yeah, he is. He is
committed to Oklahoma City. And he's he's going to lead that team. So LA ate up on Phoenix.
In San Antonio, now it's opened up to four over Dallas, Dallas at 25 and eight. San Antonio 29
and four. But Boston problems. Oh, man, they've got problems right now. If KG's out for a long
period of time, but they're deep, Boston's probably I think one of the deepest teams in the league.
And I think that's one thing it hurts Miami. And it does. But I think the thing about Boston
this year that's a little bit different for them, uh, they're winning quiet. Yes, they're not the
boisterous. We are the Celtics and we're going to take you to a wood shed team. They've even been
in the last few years. Exactly. They're very quiet this year, which it's kind of weird for me.
But KG, I mean, he's a big part of that depth. And he's he's a little banged up right now.
He's now day-to-day twisted knee. Very similar to what Dirk has had.
Dirk Novitsky and KG almost to me, almost the same player. KG, a little bit more tense.
Definitely a lot more physical. 14 to 7. Oh, how state has regained the lead?
Wow. So this might be, uh, this might get a little weirder than we thought. Try something
might finally beat the SEC at 17 drives, but it is Arkansas. But um, yeah, KG being out for
all her stem, it's good to have Rondo back. I'm I'm excited about get going to the break. And
I wouldn't be surprised to see Miami make a trade. Try to add a body. Would be surprised mellow.
Would that be something 19 out of 20? Wouldn't that be something?
Just when you think we're just going to get that whole draft class on one team. Yes.
Winter classic. Let me get a different reason for that hold on. Do you watch any of this? Do you
have to watch a little bit because it got pushed back? Seven. Seven o'clock. It was a seven o'clock
Easter or seven o'clock central. It was a prime time game played under the lights,
which I think made it work better. The way that the look of the game, the feel of the game at night,
I thought was awesome. Interesting note for the winter classic as the capitals win two to one.
The highest rated regular season NHL game in 36 years. That winter classic drew 4.5 million viewers.
I'd say it was sloppy. If you saw any of it, I mean puddle, I mean it was raining.
Oh, the rain didn't help. I mean it was sloppy. They're talking about bringing it inside,
Jerry's talking about making a bid for it. What do you mean bring it inside? They're doing it
like an indoor stadiums. Oh, well, I think it loses retractable roof. I think it
to me, it's kind of had that original six feel to it. Yeah, I'm not sure. But that's maybe that's
just also real quick. I'm glad the capitals went back to their classic look like those shoes.
Yeah, like those unies a lot. Remember they had the, remember they went real wheels off
in the capital building? And I'm glad that they got look like they were like the Rangers with
a big Statue of Liberty third. They were HBO 24 seven. You can watch the little bit of this. I
watched. I'll watch more of it than I did. H, let me, let me just break this down to you real
simple. If it's an HBO sports documentary, I don't care if it's about the tidley week's championship
in 1913. You watch it. Nobody can do, although 30 for 30's given them a run. HBO does the greatest
sports documentaries on the planet, unless your name is Ken Burns. Oh, but you know, like baseball?
No, I'm saying he's another one that I put it out in that now rush more.
But the 24 seven, they do the 24 seven before all their big fights.
You know, live Shriver is the voice of those things. It's, you hear that, you know,
that's the dude from screen. It's just kind of weird. But when they're classic,
congratulations, NHL for getting some viewers, man, getting some doing something right. Now,
now let's get those viewers for things like regular season games that aren't played outdoors.
And the Stanley Cup finals, Stanley Cup finals, you're all started.
Yeah, you had decent ratings last year because of the Chicago market. Yeah.
So, and I'll tell you, I just remember when after Dallas won that thing in 99,
you've never seen the worldwide leader or biased in your life hating the fact that that cup was
south of the Mesa Dixon. They like to keep it up there in Canada. Yeah, they like it up there
in the cold. They don't like it when it's down this far. They're in Florida. Oh, not in Tampa Bay.
The lightning. Hey, two-ton champs. Yeah, they won't strike that year. Yeah, we could have
defended. We would defend the cup we could just say it. That's a repeat. I'm counting that.
That is going to wrap. Oh, no, we have one more. We have a new segment. It's my segment. I forgot
about it. We have a new segment this week on the show called Random Sports Facts. My in-laws
for Christmas got me a Sports Facts daily calendar. So I'm going to take a couple of them each
week and read them to you. Let me answer your faults as we get into this.
The Rose Bowl has always been played in Pasadena. False. When was it not? Was I alive?
I will say no. 1923. No, when? I will tell you here in just a moment as we get ready for this
I have to drop another song in. If I tell you the Rose Bowl was not played in Pasadena in 1942,
could you tell me why? The war. Correct. Oh, because of security concerns after the attack on
Pearl Harbor, the Rose Bowl is moved all the way across the country from Pasadena to Duke
Stadium in Durham, North Carolina. Who was in that year? Oregon State beats Duke 20 to 16 in that
game. The annual New Year's Day tradition will return the next year when Georgia trounces UCLA
9 to nothing. Three field goals. Huh, what else so? And the other one I have for this week?
24 hours ago. Okay, big anniversary in your wheelhouse, sir.
January the 3rd, 1973, the year I was hatched. Something happens.
As George Steinbrenner's Syndicate buys the New York Yankees from CVS for $10 million dollars.
$10 million dollars. Here's a funny. I've got a lot probably another night here, but I've got a
I watched a deal on him, a Yankeeography on him when he bought the Yankees and we tried to buy
the Indians. At the time of the purchase, the Yankees haven't been to a world series since 1964 or
one once since 1962. Steinbrenner president of the American Shipbuilding Corporation meets the
press to announce his plans for the Yankees and declares that he will not take an active part
in the club by saying, quote, we plan absentee ownership. We're not going to pretend to be something
we aren't. I'll stick to building ships. Yeah. How'd that work out? That went over like a, you know
what in church? Yeah, you know, but funny thing, the Stofer family was only Indians at that time,
that Stofer of the Rosen denners. I know all about those. That was a weird deal. You know,
he took a trip in New York and said that CBS was was pumping the Yankees as I love Lucy reruns
and just almost nostalgia killed it. That's cool. So we're going to do a couple of those every week.
Nothing real intensive. Not nearly as thorough as you get to be during this weekend resting
kitchen because I didn't want to take any of this team over the mat. But there's certain stuff
like today four years ago was the Texas USC National Championship. What a nod. We got four years
ago. Yes, I do. I can tell you where I was at. One of the best college teams I've ever
watched. I can tell you where I was at and where I was at the next day.
All fair. Let's go ahead and say hello to our sponsor. I just wrap up sports talk for this week.
Too much fun in here tonight. Every week. Yeah. I love this show. We hope you're loving it too
right here on New Stream. Make sure you join us each and every Tuesday night. A on the East Coast
five on the West Coast. Hello, John Crow. Yeah. Are they still John Colonel?
They're still. Yeah, we know I've not got any refer. Yeah, but I haven't gotten any information.
Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. That is John Crow GMC Buick in Canton, Texas. Just wrapped up first
Monday trade days this past weekend. Little chilly for my opinion. That's good down there.
But go down there and get your great deal in a car, new or used truck SUV, minivan, whatever you
might need there. They have it all. You can access their website from our website. That is
www.theclubhousewithrobincoady.com. You can click on their logo in the left hand corner of our
screen. It'll take you to their website. You can build a car from paint, color, interior,
anything you want. You can get it done there. I'm partial of the UConn and the trucks. You might
need a Buick. Or you may have a teenager who's graduating this year need to get them a new car.
Don't buy them new. Buy them used because I'll be honest. They'll ding it up a little bit.
So you can see Randy and sales who'll get you the Ken and finance. They'll get you wrapped up
and taken care of. Thanks again. And remember, if you've got a business that you'd like to have
advertised right here on the clubhouse with Robin Cody, contact our marketing director. Her name
is Misty. You can email her at Misty at the clubhousewithrobincoady.com. You can also email me at
Rob at the clubhousewithrobincoady.com. And I am Cody at the clubhousewithrobincoady.com.
Anything you want to email us, things you want us to research for you or stuff you want to tell
us about. We love to hear from you guys both here live in the chat room and on email. Again,
check out our brand new logo on the website. Richard did a great job. It's good. We're also looking
to have some time or maybe we can get out amongst the people. So maybe if you know of somebody who might
benefit from us broadcasting live from their establishment, we have more than welcome to do that,
whether it's special edition or maybe it's just a Tuesday night where we want to get out and
meet some of you kids that maybe we do or do not know or maybe we just want to hang out with you
because that's how we roll. As it is now the 115 mark, we are going to get into act two of this
thing which is our pop culture section. Not a whole lot to talk about this week but we will get
into it as we always do. We're going to let the music cue itself out. Let the Beatles play us
into one of Cody's favorite songs of all time.
Only one big movie story this week. This came down late last night.
As Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part one is the 16th film in history to pass the
$900 million mark worldwide. And I have not seen one of those. Never read a book, never seen a movie.
Yeah. But it is a it is a force of nature and it wraps itself up this June as Harry Potter and
the Deathly Hallows part two is released. A lot of people thought that the studio was being
real greedy by split this into two. I think they just wanted to do a 700 page book right.
That's just me. New releases this week. There's only one. What do you know about this film?
I know that I can't see how Nicholas Cage is broke because every time I turn around he's in a movie.
Season of the witch. This is not a remake of Halloween 3. Oh no. I thankfully put on the pumpkin masks.
You know if there's any movie that needed to do over it's that one. Maybe that we need to do
that as a listener. They just sharpen her thinking. I don't think he had anything to do with it.
I think this this was a completely off book thing that they just threw the Halloween name on.
And I'm going to do some research on that. But uh season of the witch it's a medieval thing.
Nicholas Cage. Witches. Yeah it looks it looks very oh it looks there's some money been put into it.
Special effects wise it looks good. We'll see. We're going to take a look at that.
DVD and Blu-ray releases this week. I'm going to go rent this. I may rent this this weekend
as the Robert Rodriguez vehicle machete which was actually a full movie they wrote based on a
fake trailer in Grindhouse with the great Danny Treyhoe. Everybody and their brother is in this. I'm
told that the low hand does a little bit of the neckiness in it as she just got out of rehab today.
Again. Oh no. And now apparently she's relocating to Venice.
It's the wine. The wine's better than that. Steak and Hogan, Venice Beach, Cal- no.
Also available. With that of course goes to the Mexico trilogy. You can buy that today on Blu-ray
which is El Mariachi, Desperado and once upon a time in Mexico. All three available on Blu-ray
today. Also available a movie called Dinner for Schmuck's with Paul Rudd and Steve Carell who
you found to be very unfunny as we talked about in free show. Yeah. Because I watch date night
over the weekend with my wife. Him and Tina Fey. I thought it was great. Enjoyed it very much.
I don't know if he's very funny. I do. I like him a lot. Also for those of you that are fans of
such thing season four of Big Love is available on DVD today. Never watched an episode. I think my
wife watched like the first season maybe. Also available today a movie called The Last Exorcism.
This was a mock humanitarian. I guess you could call that, but it wasn't really funny. It was
creepy and straight. I already had the ending taken care of. I don't watch these kind of movies
and somebody told me what happened. So I'm good with that. And Case 39. This was a movie with
Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper where she is a social worker. And Case 39 is the her 39th
case as a young lady who is either possessed. Kind of sort of by the devil or demons are chasing her.
It was kind of one of those. They did this movie like four years ago. Never thought it would
see the light of day. All of a sudden Bradley Cooper's the hot it guy and this thing hits theaters.
So that's how that went. Huh. I always liked our case. I'm not like I remember a little bit more
about that case. It was marketed pretty well before it came out. So there's some other releases.
I'll put on my blog later this week. So keep an eye out for that. We're going to get into a little
music talk now. I'm selling. It's not great, but I'm going to fade out here. I think she sings
very well when she wants to. I don't have anything by this artist. So this is the closest you're
taking it. Walk a flock of flame. Who is this? This is a rapper. Chad, you didn't really miss
much. We're in. We're in music talks now. He's some kind of a rapper that the kids like. I remember
in my my latter days as a DJ. People were asking me for his stuff. And I was like, no.
From Texas, he surrenders the police on drug and gun charges last night. He's being held on
$31,000 bond. Here's what he's he's had to surrender on. Possessing marijuana and a controlled
substance, not saying what it is. Possessing a firearm by a convicted felon. So we're already there.
And possessing a firearm during a crime. Okay. He's also charged with breaking Texas' anti-gang laws.
Shouldn't everybody have anti-gang laws? I think so. I mean, I just thought I was thinking.
And violating probation for driving on a suspended license. Now you're saying all of this and he
violates his probation. What's this guy on probation for? Oh. Apparently
in the state of Texas, you can't be charged if you possess a sawdoth shotgun. Yeah, that'll get you thrown in. Yeah. Yeah.
So that was what he was that originally started as we're watching the Sugar Bowl as well.
We've got a player down for Ohio State. Again, you are listening to the Clubhouse with Robin Cody
right here on YouStream. We appreciate you being with us each and every Tuesday night eight on the
East Coast five on the West Coast. We are right in the middle of music talk right now.
We talked about Chad getting married on Saturday. Somebody else got married on Saturday in the beautiful
territory of Puerto Rico. Report to Rico, depending on how you pronounce it.
Wed, though. Shania Twain found something else about her new husband. We know that she is now
married the guy who is the husband of the lady that her husband cheated with. Yes, we've
determined that a couple of weeks ago. Apparently he is in some kind of a French businessman or
something he's getting his own show on Oprah's new network. Oh, okay. I saw a picture of them on
the beach. It was on billboard.com today. Of course, I mean, do I need to say she looks great. Oh,
yeah. Oh, yeah. Beautiful dress. He's a lot, you know, in her and mud to me just never went
together. That was always weird. I've always said even Lyle love it cut Julia Roberts for the
mud, mud laying. So congratulations to Shania. Yes, absolutely. I hope this works out well for you.
That's a name coming up this next bullet point. I hadn't heard it in a few years. I've always said
that you know that your career is going into its sunset when you have an extended engagement
bank. It's this next artist did. Tony Braxton just recently revealed that she has been battling
Olympus for many years, huh, which is the same disease that Seal Pass. She apparently is going to
have a reality show on the Wii Network, the Women's Entertainment Network. Her four sisters are
going to be more of the focus of it as her four sisters try to break into these. They're all four
aspiring singers. So there's a man that worked called me. We have we can we have me. I think we
as I think it's called spike. Okay, just that wasn't it wasn't that what spike was set up? Yeah,
like the anti-wee or would that be the Xbox 360 Tony Braxton? Okay, never mind. Also one more
thing we want to talk about today. I mean, so I can get things queued up correctly. There we go.
Boy, I barely got that in on time. Disco duck. This is not disco duck. We want to say
farewell to a singer who's saying the song we played at the top of the show. He also sings this
very song that we're we're playing in the background. We're going to give him a little bit of love.
Foo Fighters do a great version of this song. The great
Jerry Rafferty passed away today at the age of 63. This is a song called Baker Street. Everybody
remembers this horn riff right at the beginning. He was also in a group called Steelers Wheel
who did the song you heard at the top of the show called Stuck in the Middle with You.
Also wrote a lot of stuff. Love this song. I'll admit this song reminds me of being a very young man.
Love this song. Love Steelers Wheel. Again, great version of this by the Foo Fighters if you've
never heard it. We want to say farewell to Jerry Rafferty today. Godspeed sir. Only one real big
music new release today. Dead mouse, you know this is. No. He's the guy who's got the big. He
wears the big mask. That is the big mask. It's like a big mouse head. It's got the big eyes.
And the big mouth. I think so. He was the DJ at the VMA system. He had the big LED. That's dead
mouse. Four times four equals 12. Well, it was mass wrong because that's 16. Well, he's a musician.
Oh, it's allowed to do that. A lot of what they're calling icon collections released today
is basically greatest hit stuff. A lot of really good ones are coming out today but I usually
don't cover greatest italics. But that's really your only release this week again. You're in the
beginning of the year. Anybody seen what this dead mouse looks like? I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know this guy's ever seen a space. Chad says purple rain was added to the Grammy
Hall of Fame. Cool. So congratulations to Prince because he needs more awards. How about putting
on a good album? That's all I ask. And Chad, Chad's with me on this. He hasn't put out a great
album in now 16 years. And Penny Lane as well added to the Grammy Hall of Fame. Good deal. So
congratulations to Beatles and Prince. That's right. So what are we doing now? We are going to TV
news now. Here we go. We've been waiting on this. This Sunday. This coming Sunday. We are five
days away from a show that you and I are both fired up about. Yeah, it's man. I'll tell you what,
if you watched any of that game Sunday night and they missed a commercial you went to the bathroom
every break. They showed this preview at Nazim. I just I hope this show doesn't let me down
in case you don't know what we're talking about. It's called the Cape. It's about a guy who's
who's a cop and his family is killed by bad guys and he doesn't really get powers from the
Cape. But what he does is he from what I've gathered. He decides to live with some circus folk
and learn about the art of deception. Oh, okay. Chad also saying the Grammy Hall of Fame on the
road again and I've been loving you too long. So a lot a lot of people getting awards right now.
So we'll be watching that. I gotta set my DVR after the show so I don't forget.
Vinnie Jones is in this thing again. I've said Vinnie Jones is in it. I mean yeah, there's a lot of
if David is in this but you know it kind of has that smell or that feel that it could go either way.
I just I hope for the sake of all things good and holy that this thing doesn't turn into heroes
seasons two three five. Yeah, it just looks like seasons hero season one of heroes was amazing.
It just looks like this thing could kind of go. But we're going to stick with it. We're going to
see where it goes. Yeah. We've still got our normal shows. Is blue blood still on? Yes, they
moving that to Wednesday. So we're going to Wednesday night with that. Okay. Uh, Boardwalk
Empire is done for me. They've been a great strong strong finish. Uh, no ordinary family. Uh,
they come back on the air tonight. Chicolas, if you're listening, get your butt in here.
Get this thing back on track because it this thing is dragging pretty bad. We're going to talk
about it. The other one of your shows here in just a minute because something broke today. I don't
know if you know about this. Uh, what was my other show outsourced? Yeah. Found out this weekend
based on a movie that my wife has had in the instant queue for months that we didn't even know it.
So we watched the movie over the weekend. Uh, I like the TV show better.
But outsourced comes back I believe next week. It's actually getting some seem. I'm going to stick
with it. Over the weekend, we also found out Oprah's own network. I don't mean like her own
network. It's called own. Oh, WN is the name of her network. And there's some of her loyal fans
not happy about this thing. What's going on there? I have not heard this. I guess because it's
on cable. A lot of her. I guess a lot of her loyal. Did people think she was going to get a broadcast
network? It's basic cable, isn't it? Yeah. Well, no. Some places it's not on a basic package.
Really? You have to get expanded basic to get the Oprah own. See, I always thought she had a
road network. I didn't know that she never had a network before. And then she also does. She's
got the XM series XM channel as well. So interesting. I don't know if you're watching this.
Apparently, Prince playing a charity event at the Super Bowl. A tent charity event
where Reunion Arena used to be in downtown Dallas. Interesting. I'm sure that's going to be
you know, five bucks ahead. A lot of highway noise. Yeah. At one of the worst rated. Yes.
Mixed masters in America. Speaking of, we were talking just a minute ago about one of your shows.
I don't know if you saw this. This broke about 3 30 central time today.
AFC Championship on CBS 23rd of January. Immediately after the AFC Championship,
they were playing a brand new episode of Y5O. That show trying to really get even more people.
That's involved in that show's getting good. I may have to go back and maybe
catch some of the old that show who that show you picked the winner here. Yeah, that show's
getting good. That is right now. You are a winner, winner, chicken winner. That is that is
getting to be a real good show. I just hope it doesn't be one of these deals where it just hit the
wall. Do you think the potentials there or do you think it just could happen? Because I'm asking
you because you've been watching every episode. I've watched how this is developed. Can they
still expand or do you see the wall coming? No, no, no. They can expand. I think that it can
it can do whatever it wants to. But I'm just kind of wondering the characters.
They did a real good job in casting. I'll tell you that. I've heard that. The casting's been phenomenal.
I like. I like Khan's kid. Scotty Khan's really kind of carved out a good niche for himself.
You know, you've got the Daniel Kim from Lost. You've got Grace Park who was great on Battlestar
Galactica. You've got established names. I think that helps. You know one thing that I feared
with this and I think everything that came on came out to do with an old TV show after a certain
time period with a movie called Starsky and Hutch. Well, that was tongue in cheek though. You always
worried about one of these things even being baited to a movie or a show because you thought they
just it'd be so yucks and stuff. It wouldn't make any sense. I feared going, okay, this will be...
Well, I was told that they were taking this kind of in a serious direction. So I was kind of okay
with that. This will be one of those deals that it'll be real cool and then all of a sudden it'll
just go crazy. So, my opinion. And that is going to do it for pop culture talk this week. As we're at
the one thirty two mark. As we get into the reason you called. Yeah. It's what the show is founded on.
It is the cornerstone of the show, if you will. As we get into professional wrestling talk.
Come on. There we go.
See you later. See you later. Oh boy.
I know you talk about something that literally broke right after we went off the
air last night. Yeah, that was strange. Like, I literally, you left, you left our studio to go
home. The ladies left the studio to go home. I sat down in my recliner in my living room.
Got onto my laptop at this thing breaks. I don't know if it's major. For those of you that do not
know last Tuesday night at a house show in Pennsylvania, John Cena was in a cage match with Wade Barrett.
Took his finisher. Wade gets up on the top rope and just kind of sits there and
just waits and Cena kind of never gets up. Uh-huh. We thought that it was a right knee injury and
it turned out to be a deep bruise. He is listed as day to day. But was not on any programming.
This weekend is probably the best thing for him. I'm not going to disagree with that. It just,
I think it's time. Put him, put him in bubble wrap for a few weeks. Let me let him chill.
Something I read something after I sent you the run sheet today.
Can you name for me the last pay-per-view that did not involve either Cena and or Orton in a big belt
match? Either either the WWE title or the World title. The last pay-per-view were neither one of them
were in a match for a belt for one of the big belts. Tell me. Cyber Sunday 08. Wow. You had Jeff
versus Triple H and Batista versus Jericho was the last time that neither one of them. Every pay-per-view
for the last almost two and a half years has involved one or if not both of them in a title match.
Either WWE title or World title. I read that when if that does not tell you everything you need to know
about why we need somebody else in this mix. Yeah, it was just getting stupid. I mean, I thought
that was insane when I read that. But it, but it's true. So, and we're, that streak of course,
we'll stay alive as we'll talk about here in a little while. Also, tough enough has been announced
for USA to premiere April the 4th. You know what I didn't realize? That's the day after
Manion. Huh? I did. I was thinking about that. Yeah. Which also means since it's going to air
before RAW every Monday night, that gives you no room for a three hour RAW for 10 weeks. So,
you know what that limits you on? What's all the draft? So, my question is, do you do an abbreviated
draft? Because you kind of almost have to do a draft given what given the nature of the beast.
Do you do a smaller draft? Or do you get crazy with it? And do you move the whole draft and do a three
hour Smackdown? Could do that. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think so. Do I live three hour Smackdown?
Sci-fi could handle that. Yes. You know, just back it up an hour. You almost have to because
the draft has become such an even though it's a beating every year. It's one of those things
that that this likes to do for ratings. And you're getting right close to that May sweeps time
because you almost have to do it. And I think it would help sci-fi at that point.
Binky, binky, binky. At that point, we get into impact last week. Oh, hello. What did I just do?
I just wanted to hear the song really. I actually took me forever to get through impact.
You know, take that for what you're paying for it. Touchdown Ohio State. Yeah,
this thing's getting out of hand. Thank you and I are both going to lose this one. Yeah.
Arkansas better get a touchdown before half time where they may get run on the building.
Impact opens with more of this. Mick Foley trying to help out Mr. Anderson. Anderson saying,
I'm fine. Stop ragging me about this. My doctors say I'm okay. Are we going to really take
concussion talk and use it to turn Anderson heel? Maybe. I don't know. I just think that might be
a little little out of the out of bounds. This thing's getting impacts getting hard to watch.
I mean, I really believe they're probably going to try to go three hours with it. Yeah,
because as we know, or if you didn't know, reaction is no more. This past Thursday's reaction
was the final episode. They're done with it. Spikes doing something else with the hour. They're not
saying what? I think they're going to try to go three hours with impact like what they did to
sink nitro. And I think it's a horrible idea. As again, you are listening to the clubhouse
with Robin Cody right here on U stream live every Tuesday night at eight on the east coast five
on the west coast. We are right smack dab in the middle of wrestling talk. And we are talking about
TNA impact right now. Let me ask you this. This immortal thing. Can you talk about it? You know what
church? Yeah, this thing is this thing's failed. If this thing continues to fail like it does,
does can this can bitch off swallow his own pride enough to put a bullet in it.
Because this is what I'm sitting there in my chair and I'm watching this and I'm thinking I think
bitch off doesn't see this as failure. I think he sees this thing as working. And if anything,
I read a report the other day that said if you look at impacts ratings a year ago versus now,
it's actually down a hundredth of a point on average. They've got to do something with it. I just
I think there I think their belief in it was that we could get Hogan in and prop Hogan up
enough where we think Hogan might be able to go. And you heard me in the whole time. I thought he'd
have that belt butt down for glory. Yeah, he can't. Hogan can't go. And if you watch that finding Hogan
documentary, Cody's not being facetious. He's being literal. Hogan literally cannot go. I just
think that was the idea and getting that together was what we'll do is eventually everything will
sit around Hogan. Hogan can't do that anymore. This can't be NWO because Hogan's not physically able
to make it the NWO. And nor and I think that you couldn't do that again just because the shock
value alone. Uh-huh. You had that then. Speaking of shock value or things that sound like shock,
we had the return of Shark Boy. My question when I first saw him was where is this guy been?
Shark Boy. Because he mentioned they kind of pushed him quite a bit there for a while and then
he was gone. So I did some research. His real name is Dean Roll. Apparently he had, he was off TV
because of a bad swine flu scare. He had an August. Okay. And he's been repping and he's been
road-agony for the company. Good deal. So the guy's got talent. He just got stuck in a bad bit.
Now when he became Stone Cold Shark Boy, that bit's funny because that's the that's the
chum in line. That's the fish in line because Shark Boy said so. He uses the stone cold chummer.
Okay. Funny. Don't care who you are. That's funny. Then we had a knockouts strap match.
This got a little weird. Serita and Velvet Sky in a four corners leather strap match.
Which my my first thought here was this is kind of weird. But I'll give him credit for the
booking. The way it ends. Spoiler alert if you haven't watched it impact. Really?
Velvet Sky is carrying Serita on her back with this strap.
Velvet hits a turnbuckle. Turns to the next one and she turns Serita hits the turnbuckle.
Velvet hits the second one as she turns. Serita hits the second one.
Velvet hits the third one. Serita as she turns hits the third one. Then does some move where
she drops Velvet and hits the fourth one. Kind of funny, a little bit different, a little bit creative.
I'll give points for that. I think we're teasing another beautiful people breakup. Again,
because Velvet's freaking out. She can't beat Serita. Angelina's, you know, what's going on?
It's not you with me blah blah blah. She's got the whole winter thing going on right now too.
Did you get to watch any of it impact to speak a little bit? I noticed something on the graphic
and Chad was watching this with me. And I said something to him and he didn't see it and so I
had to I rewound it. Did you see the little graphic when they were advertising? Do you want tickets
to TNA impact? Did you see the email address? Who was it?
Impact tickets at hotmail.com. You have a website. You own tna wrestling dot com.
In Dallas, Texas, you you can't hook up a impact tickets at tna wrestling dot yeah. You've got to
go hotmail with it. I just don't I don't know maybe charla set that up because you know if you
charla at internet.net. I just don't see that this thing going much longer. I'm just like I just
don't I don't see it feasibly possible. I mean I get saving a buck but man alive.
Amazing red brings out his little brother for the double J double M.A. challenge. I don't know
if you saw this part of it. The guy go I look kind of like him. He was a big old boy and then of
course I just this whole thing with with Jared. Can we just go ahead and bring some I would
go out and get this thing over with? Yeah. Genesis is a week and a half away or actually it's less
than a week now because this will be the last episode of impact before the pay-per-view.
Can we just get this thing done? Yeah. Because this is wearing me clean out.
Douglas Williams. Singing in the British invasion song playing right now. He is an attack match.
Doesn't have a partner and all of a sudden here comes one magnus. Says he'll tag with him.
Have a little British invasion reunion as they take on AJ Styles and the freak Rob Terry.
Is this London brawling thing failing? Because I haven't seen them on TV. Yeah. Exactly.
Are they just on explosion which is the which is the European version of being attacked?
To me it probably makes more sense to do it that way. I don't know what's going on here but it's
kind of it's weird to me. And the magnus wearing the sunglasses and the beret.
Like if he remembers he was brought in as a gladiator. Can we do something different?
It's just kind of like someone said man some of this stuff they just open a costume trunk and
just pull something out of there. Some of this stuff they're rolling out is getting a little
difficult to watch. I mean Doug Williams I think is a great wrestler. He's got some problems with
the mic skills with the accent but I think it maybe magnet maybe he could just let Magnus tag with
him for a while. This Magnus is kind of a stick. And then here we go again. The angel of Da Nero.
I don't know if you saw this. They just they I think they've come to realization. We don't know
what to do with him anymore. We've now hit a wall with him. Did you see what happened?
This made me very uncomfortable. Wasn't it wasn't the strip club? No no that was two weeks ago.
Two weeks ago come. Okay. This week he goes to a rescue and says I want to make a special
holiday for the kids. Yeah you have some puppies that we can get for the kids. A couple of
litters this guy guy says yes sir we got a couple of rescue litters in today and he goes one thing.
Got to be pit bulls. Whoa okay. Whoa. Let's let's reel it in a little bit here.
Creative at TNA. Got to be pit bulls. Got to be got to be literal pit bulls.
There's a little saying that you and I used to use quite a bit when it came to Vince and I don't
know if you know where I'm going here. Walk the line. Yes sir. Yes sir. Let's walk the line and
something Chad said when he said he goes how long ago was that? I said it was a while ago but
that don't make it right exactly. This is this you are now treading into very dangerous water
in my personal opinion and if y'all don't do this right I mean I was with you okay maybe
dog and then he went pit bulls and I went oh boy. Is he now going to be Pope Mexico?
I'm gonna change his name. I thought that was a little that was that was a little much for me.
So there was that. Then the next night we had Smackdown which I actually ended up watching
today. I got so behind on stuff. Apparently Vicki is now saying as a result of the
attitude adjustment she took from John Cena. She has vertigo and you know what she said one of the
symptoms of that was nauseousness. Did not know nauseousness was actually a word a little confused
by that which Vince would just cut her all the Guerrero's and Chad. You know what I just I don't
get it. Chad that was a bad pun. Drew McIntyre you talk about a guy that we've now hit the wall with
what what are we doing with him it is who did he to y'all might be suffering a little bit for
his for his wives transgressions too. Well let me ask you this is this a guy who
are we doing smoke in mirrors with him or are we are we tweeting him what are we doing with him
they don't know because he's kind of being telling Kelly Kelly I'm not who you think I am I'm
a different person blah blah blah and then all of a sudden he in the ring he's just like I'm
going to beat Chad out I'm going to rip your soul and you know he beats up on somebody gets
in their face I I mean he's he's got the skills I think so do we need to tag him with somebody
do we do we tried that yeah for like what a week and a half yeah I don't know what we need I
think I think Cody but then I think with them tagging him with Cody was it's you've got Cody so
strong in the big he's working right now he didn't need to be in a tag team and I think that's
the problem that you faced with him but that's just me I don't know speed of people who need to be
retooled we have gotten rid of Kaelin Croft we have kept Trent Burretta formerly known
collectively as the dude busters because they like the bus dudes I guess weird we did do we need
to take this kind of TV and maybe attack a champ kind of likes to be with Tyler right yeah I just
kind of see what happens because he it's he's like WWE's Robbie E it's very strange to me
what has gone this computer is not wanting to work with me today I was watching like cool
and I now have I'm now torn on Michelle cool because my question is
is she that good as a heal or is she just that bad in general
uh yeah I just I don't I don't know if she's got the push she's got if she's not married to
who she's well no I mean we all know that it's she's married to the undertaker and we know that
when his when he's done we know that it's not she hurt her push one and she'll probably retire
with him but I just haven't decided is she just that good at being a heal um I think the bit
I think the bit can work or it has worked because I believe you can you can gear it towards a younger
audience it's funny it's a mean girls type thing I just think the bits run out of steam you think
I don't necessarily think it's him the hurr I just think the bits run out of steam in my opinion
um I don't know it's just kind of weird to me here's here's another question for you if you're
pitching this del Rio cane edge ray as your main event why does it end the first hour
the way I've never I've just they've been doing this for months and I don't understand it's one
thing about that the writers on that show they just I don't know man smack down to me looks very
very very unorganized I've said that before who and do you know who has the book there right now
I know at one time they were good they were trying to give it back to Hayes and that didn't happen
yeah so it's very weird to me with with what they're doing right now
I don't know did you get a chance to watch any smack down I know you've been busy out yeah
striker revealed a little something on air that I actually had to stop and rewind Hulu makes
sure I heard it right striker's cats are named after the avid nitics press a beautiful Bobby
in sweets tan or striker's cats I'm like I don't care I don't care if that's real or not it's
funny and you know striker breeze life into that show Chad talks about charisma and I think that
you know that maybe that's what it is for someone cool she just has a lack there I don't know
you know that one of my bits now is I've chosen to take Michael Cole under my ring my wing and
I'm going to help him out for teach him how to be a better commentator because I think I've got
some skins now something for Cole this week that I want to help him out with
you only need to use a bit once or twice he called because an Italian they were calling the
Italian paid they cool was she said well this little piggy's gonna fly he said this little piggy
in a bit about 72 times in a minute and a half again we get it you're a heel announcer we
established it by now yeah you don't have to remind us every 35 seconds that you're the heel
announcer you know you get to be heel announcer on this show I don't have to remind everybody I'm
just saying then we get to raw last night very good opening why again okay let's let's back up a
little bit remember you are on the clubhouse with Robin Cody right here on you stream we're live
every Tuesday night if you miss any part of the show you can listen to it on the archive
why did we start with the world title match I don't know why they did that they announced that
I had to get a little nostalgic on you they they announced that early
Monday almost Monday morning that broke then that was going to start the show they broke that
thing false count anywhere for the world title miss versus Morrison and I just went whoa whoa
did I miss something when when a when a good 25 strong yeah and it was a good one you had about
last night's show there was a lot of wrestling on last night's show yes there was so which is something
that we've clamored for for a long time so we can't really complain too much but it was one of those
deals where that was one of the strongest parts of your show and you're leading the show with it
and really what I thought was gonna happen was
there'd be some kind of a screw ball ending that we would still lead into the paper view and
that was kind of their trial again you texted me and said clean finish I hadn't started watching
it I usually wait three or five minutes on the watch commercials but and you were right clean
finish great match some great spots Alex Riley acts stunned on the deal on the on the safety rail
and Morrison jumps up on it knees him in the face great spot Morrison jumps off the WWE
level he took all the bumps that's for that's for dang sure it was and and all of a sudden then we
find out after the match we're gonna have what I thought originally was a four corners match but I
guess it was a three way dance in a cage for the number one contender match for the paper views I
thought okay Morrison's gonna get back in this thing somehow that's gonna lead us in there's
gonna be shenanigans of all which will lead us to elimination chamber where I personally believe
shameless will win the title after triple H wins the rumble setting H to get his win back at
WrestleMania that is my theory at this point then we find out Morrison's not even in the number one
contender match and it's gonna end up being Barrett versus Shamest versus Orton okay well you know
for a fact that you're not gonna have heel versus heel at the rumble uh but you're kind of
tween in Barrett so maybe he could go either way but if he does win he still heel anyway because
he's with Nexus but if he loses then as punk said he's out of Nexus for good very strange way
we did this but I think now with this scene of thing you're kind of morphing this into punk Barrett
now yes this whole Barrett to Smackdown thing to me can't work now because you've got to keep him
on raw to be to play face to punk yeah I don't know if it works quite as well I think Barrett
if you're gonna if you're gonna establish you've got to get some of these young guys to establish
themselves a main event guys or it's not gonna work it's it's kind of like you've got to get
it's like mother nature is forcing Vincent's hand at this point they have to push me as Morrison
Nexus punk scene that is not gonna be off forever and I I was shocked when I saw once again we're
doing the Orton thing again yep and Orton is your number one contender and so we're putting him
around that belt again which he kills that belt and that belt kills him personally people forget
he has it because he's not an enduring champion people forget he has the belt so he's now your
new number one contender I just don't think they put it back on him I I I really think that
something happens there's shenanigans involved where it's gonna be miss shameless this guy Morrison
take three other guys and throw him in elimination chamber because I don't think you involved
Triple H because I still think he wins the rumble yeah I think he's number 30 wins the rumble
he gets his win back at WrestleMania to put you have to put the belt back on him at this point especially
if you have no Cena you have to put the belt on yeah to carry the company uh and then we have
all Alberto Del Rio shows up and we're gonna put him in a match with our truth who does this guy know
I think one of the main things with um Del Rio is I think they're trying to get fans to like him
or like his style and trying to then implant those fans over in a smackdown that's my opinion
I like the guy I think he's a great heal we just have to figure out what we're gonna do with him
that's you're a hundred percent correct we're bouncing him from program to program well they've
got it they've got it in the the bit with him and Ray it's gotten stale Ray as far as a
viable person to me as far as a viable guy that you can go this guy right mysterious not a
main event or anymore and I know there'll be people debate that argue that he you're not gonna hear me
be I just don't think he's a main event guy anymore he isn't I I think he's one of these guys that
I think maybe go back to Triple A and retired there on top I honestly and I'll be honest with you
I honestly don't believe that even he could be anybody at TNA I just I think the the the
son is set on him for good the son is set on good for on Ray Mysterio hey thanks for the memories
Ray but Del Rio needs to get away from him because to me Ray is mid card at best right now yep
so I agree with you on that too and they better figure out some I need to get some more stuff sleek
and about the rumble but one thing about the Royal Rumble is the main events the Rumble always
is so you can throw out a lame title match at the Royal Rumble and get away with it because the
Rumble's the main event you and I talked about this at length and that's why I didn't understand why
we had to go do the Miss Morrison match on Raw yeah you could have them do that match and go okay
here's your pay-per-view shot gentlemen and you can either get this done or you're not going to
get this shot again and or maybe they felt like all of a sudden that was going to be what was
going to kill it exactly I it's just I don't know it's just kind of a weird thing to me why we
had to do that on Raw and even Cole said we don't ever see the the WWE title defended on Raw
so it's just a weird thing let's get in that time machine it is about time to get the time
machine and chat chat is called our truth of many I'm at Johnson can't debate that there's
ripped he's known as E.K.L. Jackson because these E.K.L. Jackson's actually got skills
in it and our truth getting getting rowdy I don't know I fast forward it is time for us to get
the time machine as it's my one of my favorite parts of the show it is this week in wrestling
history and I wonder do you have one of an anniversary of today would it be the figure of
Buck of Doom no sir I'll let you add yours the end okay good July and January 4th because I
want to say it earlier but I didn't want to tell you January 4th 1999 Hulk Kogan defeats Kevin
Nash with the finger so today was the out of the I think her poker do as well that's kind of
weird yeah we're Hogan laid down and of course very strange that was that was the Vince Russo
era and WCW that's kind of how it went this year in the year 2000 this day and year 2000 the
Monday not war reached its first full year really so they were doing that whole thing also
Ted Turner's ownership of WCW became official huh so that was I mean I guess it was tied out
what was going on there but it became official this this week wow also very WCW ish this week
billionaire Ted the nacho man and the Huckster debut on WF television what was the last one one
year ago today was the debut of Hulk Kogan and Eric Bischoff on TNA it sure was I didn't see that
they went head to head on Monday night that was when Jeff Hardy showed up in the the asylum match
yeah I did see that yeah I was thinking about somebody here but in that year ago right now that is
this week in wrestling history a lot of WCW stuff with the Huckster and then when I like when
Sean played Hogan yeah Lerkin brother brother brother brother brother great a smacked group and
then they they turned around and they called D. B. O. C. Trillionaire Ted Trillionaire Ted yep
we think TVS is going how to show you dollars you think I'll be on this show
remember how he debuted sitting out in the crowd was really threw up that for a horseman
sign I thought whoa Ted's fixing to go there but a real quick um Terrell Pryor's Sugar Bowl
ring will be on for sale in the morning as they are all over Arkansas just missed a 50 yard
field goal and then Terrell Pryor turns around and throws about a 50 yard touchdown it is now about
to be 28 to 7 Ohio State Ohio State trying to be the saving grace of the big 10 yes in bowl games
Arkansas they look very und defensively they look horrible receivers dropping passes all over
the field number 18 in the country yep they look Arkansas looks as worse of a team I've seen of
any ball any team in a bowl game Arkansas looks that bad they look as bad as you know I'm I'm
not going to say it but up to the opponent I mean I think Yukon right now looks better than Arkansas
does so less a lot of people out there in the social media saying the same thing let's get into
the the list the pinch of swings back to Cody for the first list of the year of our Lord 2011
there we go you thought I forgot didn't you kind of working this song kind of works in with this
yeah let's tell you like this I'm like faith no more I'm a fan well I've seen I was think I was
thinking about venues you know with with bowls coming up with the rolls bowl the orange bowl the
sugar bowl I'm venues go to places watch games play games of the 20th century a lot of these things
these buildings are no longer one particular is no number number one is no longer standing
but I was thinking about different places you know when you watch a game like the rolls bowl for
instance you kind of get that man a lot of stuff's happened in there and we found out one year it
didn't happen there yep yep so top 10 sporting venues of the 20th century number 10 the
rolls bowl pass it in a California now isn't that also the UCLA's home home games are played because
so that's not the the Olympic stadium that is the Coliseum that's USC's home that's right that's
right that's right on board love love the rolls bowl like the game it is the granddaddy of them all
have heard the stadium I did have some some mutual friends that I worked with that went to the
you said five years go day national title game with Texas very cramped corners in a rolls bowl
I'm hearing you know it's like every college stadium I go to it's it's like it's very very tight corners
parking's a nightmare number nine I tied this with my nine I tied this with the rolls bowl almost
St. Andrews speaking of things of a golf nature did you see the announcement that
electronic hearts made today Augusta you can on Tiger 2012 you can play a Gusta and you can win
the green jacket cool video game players hey it's called I love to Tiger with St. Andrews
it's it is played on Tiger Woods it's very difficult the bridge yep crossing that bridge and
all that I think there's some nostalgic I think they should put the bridge up on there you think
of you think of uh you think of the British open you think of top of course Tom Watson who seems
like he's always in first place day one you've ever noticed that he's always oh Tom he's on the
leaderboard yes number eight Lambo I'm good I don't I know they've now revamped
well in it the frozen tundra of lambo feet we're good a lot of course the ice bowl barred star
Brett barred star MVP of Super Bowl one yes Brett Farve there I remember that you remember a time
when the Packers played at Milwaukee still Milwaukee County Stadium as they were remodeling Lambo
a lot of beer yes um it's just one of those places I think Lambo is just one of those places the
Packers players there's a mystique about Lambo field that especially when that temperature starts
to drop which we have it sorry we haven't seen that at all this year not a lot of the there's
been a couple of you know though of course the Minnesota game yes but not not a lot of good snow
football yes number seven rigley field it is the friendly confines I know I met a lot of winning
going there you you've touched that stadium I have not I thought been way in and I thought you'd
touch the rigley one I have not okay it's touched me though but no rigley field of course
home of the Chicago Cubs at one time Chicago Bears of course the Bartman a lot of bad luck ready for
that 30 for 30 yeah catching hell I think rigley another old stadium very tight corners I don't know
I think that thing that's one thing baseball's lost number six this one I've been to Notre Dame
stadium and let me tell you something and we really haven't talked about the time I spent at work trips
at Notre Dame if you've never been to that say let me tell you a couple of things about South Bend
Indiana first of all college football Hall of Fame is there great time to spend there if if you weren't
a college person and you did not know Notre Dame was in South Bend Indiana you'd never know it is
so tucked back on away from everything it took me a while to find it and I knew it was there
but you go to that campus you can feel the history oh yeah gorgeous campus the bookstore is amazing
and I've been to a game in that stadium and again it's it's wooden bleachers and you are
butt to butt oh they'll put a hundred thousand people in there it's a great place to watch a game
you're absolutely right to have it on this list number five Daytona International Speedway now
what are they doing with that this year they're doing something a little crazy with it this year
aren't they um Fox keeps talking about see Daytona like you've never seen I think they're going
three wide this year which I think it's kind of weird for them if you're the NASCAR guy um I think
I mean for NASCAR fans this place has always had its place it really became one of these venues
when of course Dillard Hart died there I think it became one of those places um it's Daytona it's
it's the it's the super bowl that's the first race of the year I don't know all these sports
are super bowl at the beginning of the kind of wacky but I think Daytona a lot of that's the race
everybody wants to win yep because that sets the tone for the rest of the year yes number four
Cameron and Dorina if you don't know that that's the home of the Duke Blue Devils and the thing about
the Cameron indoor stadium and it's very interesting if you've never if you don't know anything about
it they don't sell advanced tickets so what the what the students do is they will they call what
they call Shchefskyville they set up tents and they camp out for tickets to home games and coach
and his wife will come out and bring all the kids in Shchefskyville cookies uh talk to him it's a
very cool thing if you do some research if you don't know about Shchefskyville and Cameron
indoor stadium I've actually read reports where if you go see the opposing players that are
standing at center court if you ever watch a college basketball game most of the teams really
jump oh apparently it's so loud and Cameron indoor stadium if you are standing at center court it
will lift you off the ground this is why I've said if if I if I remember to buy lottery tickets
tonight and I hit that three hundred and thirty five million that is one of the places that is on
my list of places I will go see Duke North Carolina and Cameron indoor stadium because it's just an
amazing atmosphere number three Madison Square Garden didn't there seen it I saw it from a plane
hey it's the garden the world's most famous around you think of the next WrestleMania Billy Joel
anything that's happened is that one of our mechas to do yeah is that our our travel bucket list
it was a house show just to say you've done it yeah MSG I touched it when I was there nothing was
going on that I was actually closed you can't even really take a tour of that oh it's so awesome yeah
it is a close I actually touched the touch the building uh pretty cool very Chad said if I
didn't win that lottery I could buy that place with that kind of chatter yeah it's true it's a
small arena you do you think yeah you think of this big but then it's actually very small same thing
as well you you've got MSG and then you've got the theater so it's a very small venue same thing
as Radio City Music Hall also a very small would love to see that venue see some see a concert
there number two Augusta National we talked about that earlier gorgeous thing about Augusta National
I don't know how much you know about Augusta there are only fifty members from Augusta
there's one member from every state at Augusta and let's say your dad is a member
and your dad passes away you don't get his membership you have to apply for his membership now
there's like 1500 charter members and that's where a lot of your uh masters champions and people
like that that are charter members but actual members of Augusta there's only fifty wow
and number one I did it I toured it I touched it I walked on the field the old Yankee stadium
not the one that hosts the pinstripe bowl no the old the house of Ruth built and you know
what if we get to do this MSG tour we probably just go just book that too because I'd like to see
what all the hubbub all is all about gone about the new one yeah about the new one when I was
there they were about 75% done when I was there okay you were touring it right at the end of the
deal you got to see I was there I was there a week after the all-star game wow they had just pulled
out they told me this story a hundred times because goose bumps on goose bumps I mean if you're
if you're a sports fan don't care if you're ranger fan whatever Yankee fan whatever fan
you get goose bumps in that building because you think man Babe Ruth was here Mickey Manel
the benches the locker room crazy crazy pretty cool trip but that's the list and so the pendulum
