Keep it going now.
Tell us.
Wait.
Hey y'all, I'm bringing heat.
Beast and all hot topics every week.
Breaking news and I don't even try.
It is 701 of the East Coast.
It is 401 of the West Coast.
It is the 4th of January in the year of our Lord 2015.
It is season 5 episode 23, chronologically episode 282.
The clubhouse is live and on the air we welcome each and every one of you individually no matter how you're listening.
Whether you're live on you stream and giving us instant feedback in our chat room.
Maybe you're listening on our archive.
Or maybe you subscribe on iTunes.
We don't hear how you listen. We're just glad you're here.
My name is Rob and I have new dishes.
That's about all the excitement that I can give you from this past week.
If you subscribe and iTunes, maybe I did something else that was pretty cool that you should listen to.
But I'm not going to say anything else.
Even it's simple tonight, joining me across the desk as he tends to do each and every week.
Is a man who has just been kind of hanging out with his wife all weekend off spring list.
He is chat.
Rob spring list not all week just a couple of days.
That's it all weekend.
All weekend.
And no guests tonight.
We're just kind of like I said keep it simple.
So let's go ahead and get Roman.
We do have one correction from last week that we realized after we went off air.
We did our best of last week and none of us mentioned Captain America the winner soldier.
So we want to center apologies out to them because that was a really good movie and probably should have been at least one of our list.
I'll put that as an honorable mention. I had it.
I'll be darn nobody did.
So we want to set our apologies out to Marvel.
My bad big time because I really meant to put that on the list.
That was a great show.
Really true.
So let's go ahead and get going.
Not a lot going on this week.
We haven't had a week this slow and entertainment news in a long time.
But
We find out this week that
Judd Appetal 25 years ago wrote a Simpsons episode.
That really nothing ever was done with.
Well, it's now been done. It's going to air next week.
You haven't been for there. You've got to bring it up.
I know it deals with Homer waking up and he's 10 years old.
Yeah, Homer undergoes hypnosis and believes he's 10 and he has such a great time being Bart's friend that he doesn't want to become an adult.
That's right.
What was the name of it?
Bart's new friend.
He's going to air next Sunday nights. He wrote this back in 1990.
Yeah, I thought I could kid something 25 years ago starts with the numbers one nine.
Yeah.
I want to repeat that just for effect.
Also,
Let's go on here with my computer.
My cuckoo be leaving Fox News.
He is to get ready for his 2016 presidential run.
Because it went so well for him.
I wouldn't go to say nothing.
Speaking of politics and television,
I did get to watch the HBO documentary about and Richards the other day.
Oh, really, very, very good.
That woman was powerful.
Jen actually came out of the bedroom.
I was like, can I watch this with you?
Apparently she's an alumni of Jen Sorority.
Oh, she is.
The wife says it and she talks about her sorority.
I assume that she's telling the truth.
And you're a fan of the Allison pill, right?
She got engaged this weekend as well.
Yeah, from the newsroom.
Didn't really recognize the guy she got engaged to, but he is a fellow actor.
I do.
Oh, do you?
Joshua Leonard.
Yeah, I know the name, but I just, I looked through his resume.
That's Josh from the Blair Witch Project.
Look at the news.
Well, you know, she was hooked up with the Barashale originally.
Really? Yeah.
They were engaged to buy me.
She likes a guy.
She likes guys that talk like this and really slow.
It's like it's kind of like a slower George Lucas there.
They call the quits about two years after they got engaged.
And now she's got a Mary Josh from the Blair Witch Project.
Is that a lateral move or a love as a strange thing?
There's a person out there to decide that I was good husband material.
So there's hope for all of us.
Wow, wait, I'm freaking be self-deprecating.
Now, you know, you're going to do something to it.
That's really all I've got.
Again, a very slow moves week, especially from an entertainment standpoint.
This may be the slowest I've seen, which is especially, you know, you've got the Golden Globes coming up in a couple of weeks.
You've got the people's choice of words coming up Wednesday night and whoever chose that hosting team.
I mean, granted it's CDS, but Alice and Jenny and Anna Ferris.
I like both of them, but I don't see them and go, yeah, put them on an audition.
Oh, there was a little bit of a Bruha, apparently at, I'm not sure which New Year's Eve celebration,
Adina Menzel or, oh, yes, that's probably, she really kind of gagged it up a little bit.
I'm going to tell you about her a little bit later, too, because there's another story that came out about her.
Does anybody else put out her name wrong? No, no, no, no, I kind of went.
So she's not a Dell Nazim.
It's about to, it's, you're, you're going to go.
I was, you know, we were of that.
In that voice, was it, is it possible?
It was, I saw this headline and went, what?
What? What?
I can't wait to get to this.
Okay, that is correct.
Let us move on and do a little NFL talk.

I have chat at theclubhousepodcast.com.
Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest, and she is currently in the, in the arena that we're about to talk about.
And Jules Walmick, I'm sure is just hanging out at the house just doing what she does.
You're right, a whip up some cheeseburger macaroni, nice.
That's good to NFL talk because that's where Charlotte is right now.
Doug Baroni, out with the bills, no longer there had coach rumors that he's interviewing with the jets.
Speaking of lateral moves.
And as we pretty much said last week on the show, Jim Harbaugh out with the 49ers in with the University of Michigan.
And he seems to be very happy with that move.
Your cousin's been hanging out all day watching a little football with me, and what we've talked about is I think the 49ers are about to realize what they've lost.
You think so, I do, I do.
Who's out there?
Yeah, you pretty much pulled the cork out of the balloon.
I mean, who's out there that's going to coach the 49ers?
I think that maybe Rex Ryan and Doug Moroni change places.
I think Rex ends up coaching the bills if he coaches anybody.
And also, there's a coaching vacancy in Atlanta.
With Alkin's firing their coach, I believe Mike Smith is his name.
This past week.
Well, with their winning record, making it to almost making it to the play halls.
They were on their own hard knocks this year.
And remember, nobody knows their owners last name.
Ha, Arthur Blank.
Really?
I just report the news, sir.
What is going on here?
I don't know, sir. What is going on here?
Trying to get some of the homepage, and it's just not doing it here.
Let's try this again.
What is going on here, kids?
It's like nothing on the internet is working.
Try this again.
Get out of the internet.
Get back into the internet.
Get out of the internet.
I'm trying to get some playoff information up for everybody.
There we go. Now, it looks like it's doing something.
Or maybe not. Maybe it's just going to hang out.
We are a well-oiled machine right now.
It's the first show with a new year. Why would we do anything differently?
Yesterday, it is Wildcard Weekend.
Yesterday, I was glad I was not a betting man.
Because both teams I would have put money on,
I'd have lost on both of them.
Carolina goes to Arizona.
Carolina, who did we remember, has a losing record in winning their division?
And they beat the Arizona Cardinals.
27 to 26.
A squeaker.
And then late yesterday afternoon, Baltimore goes to Pittsburgh in wins.
Handily, 30 to 17, which I was kind of sad.
I know that's shocking to hear coming from a Cowboys fan.
It truly is.
Because God knows I'm pulling from my Cowboys to go all the way.
I really wanted to see that rematch.
That's a Super Bowl this year.
Earlier today,
Indianapolis all over Cincinnati. Good night.
That was ugly.
And,
Andy Dalton, still winless in playoff games.
26 to 10 was your final in Indy.
Pat Mac, if you had a great day, though.
My favorite player in the NFL, of course.
And then right now, you have about 8 minutes and 18 seconds left
in Arlington, Texas Detroit up three on Dallas.
We have that on the air in the studio.
So if something breaks, we will bring it to you just in case wherever you're listening to the show.
You're not close to a television.
If you're watching live or you'll hear me scream.
If you're watching on the arc, if you're listening on the archive or on iTunes,
you probably already know what happened.
So just rejoice or suffer with us.
I will just.
I will just be weeping and taking off my stop actors.
It just kind of just feels weird that we're in the playoffs, man.
The season kind of in the thing that really bumps me though is that I missed so many games
because we were usually doing something while the game was on.
Yeah. I missed so many cowboy games this season.
We were at remotes or we were in the studio or whatever or we were on the road to a show or something.
So I feel like I missed so much of this.
Well, let's go ahead and move on to a little bit of a POI.
So the POI stands for person of interest.
It is a segment we do on this show.
Where we take a person or an entity.
And we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
Tonight the pendulum does swing back to me.
And we may have talked about this before.
But I want to go back to it because it's been a long time.
And I think maybe my stance may have changed a little bit.
And not in a good way.
Because I know where you're going with this.
I want to talk about Best Buy.
Let me say before we get into this.
Because I'm pretty much not even going to bury the lead.
Best Buy is one of the major reasons I've decided I'm doing all my shopping online next year for Christmas.
I have not in my lifetime.
I've been on this plan a few years.
I don't know that I've ever seen a store remodel more times in a short amount of time.
That's body in the last year and a half.
I mean, you go back even to the early days of this show.
Best Buy is going to be run forever.
Yeah, they they got the formula right on how to do electronics sales.
And somewhere along the way.
They lost that formula.
Because I go in there now. I can't find anything.
And nobody there seems to know where anything is because they're not the one stock.
It turns into an Abbot and Costello routine.
It's back there. No, it's up there.
No, you have to go back there.
Because I haven't cost lower a Jackie Mason or either way.
I don't just turn into crusty's dad.
Listen, you have to go down this street.
I just I'm right there with you, man.
I mean, the last couple times that you and I have gone there together. I'm like.
Why? Why is this over here now and why is that over there now?
Well, your your video game hardware is on the other side of the floor from your video game software, right?
Which makes no sense.
And if you're looking for accessories for said video game hardware, you really have to be careful.
Because it's so everything's so closely in or mixed.
Like you still have a big section for Xbox 360 stuff versus Xbox One stuff.
And you really really have to be careful where you're going to need stuff for the wrong system.
Yeah. And now they're also there, you know, Charlotte and I were at Best Buy.
Actually, as a matter of fact, I've spent some time with my little sister and had a great time.
But she said it best. She said there are food court away from being the mall.
And I said they're turning this place into the mall. She goes all the news of food court.
Yeah, because all these all these separate kiosks for separate vendors.
Well, now, but now like it was just like Microsoft and then Apple Samsung has two.
One for their tablets and another one for their phones.
I'm trying to figure out the end game here. Are they trying to, what are they trying to accomplish exactly?
Because when everything was streamlined and everything was in their respective sections, you knew where everything was.
You went right to it like it was a video store.
I mean, and most of the stores were set up the same way.
Yes, yeah, there wasn't.
Well, if I go into this store, it's here, but if I go to this branch, it's here.
Like every best buy was a laid out pretty much the same way.
Do they honestly think that each store needs its own distinct personality now?
And some of them have the Magnolia thing and some of them don't.
It's, it's insane.
I don't have to deal with when you want to buy something from best buy.
I don't like it anymore.
As much as I detached going to fries, because it's kind of like boarding a southwest flight in there.
It's like it's all there go.
It's almost easier for me to go to fries to find something that it is to best buy.
And I never thought I would see this day.
Well, because fries is set up more like best buy used to be set up.
At least you knew where everything went.
That God forbid you're looking for a CD.
The layout of the layout of fries has not changed since it became fries.
I don't think.
Almost finished.
At least ours. I can't speak for every 15, 16 years ago.
But at least the fries in, in, in, in, in Garland, Garland slash Dallas off of Northwest and in Jupiter-ish.
It has been pretty much the same since it was no longer credible universe.
Which I know makes you sad and sick and it says every day of my life.
It makes me sad and sick and sick because that place was especially as bitter as I was in the company for so long.
Yeah.
It just,
I'm a guy that likes as much as online shopping was a lot more convenient for me this year.
I'm a guy who likes to have something in my hand when I, before I buy it.
You know what I mean?
I'm absolutely not having something physically there on a certain level freaks me out.
But you're a tactile guy.
Yeah.
Like, let me see this product before I buy it.
Let me read all the fine prints on, like I had to buy an external hard drive yesterday.
And I really had to compare shop, you know.
And I ended up going with one that was five dollars more than the one I had in my hand because, you know,
Seagate versus Tashiba.
You make the call.
Yeah. And you've used Seagate for the longest time.
And I've been using Tashiba.
So it's just, it's saddens me.
Well, where'd you end up getting it anyway?
I don't know.
I'm just going to go and get it.
But how long did it take you to find it?
Well, we were looking at some other things too.
And that was another thing.
Not only God forbid you got to find a movie, a CD, God forbid you got to find a movie.
Oh, God. Because Charlotte was wanting to price out true detective season one.
Because her boyfriend Cody was really, I'm starting to get into true.
He really liked what he saw.
And she was going to buy in the whole season.
Did she find it? We could find it.
We think we know where it was supposed to be.
There's more HBO used to have their own CD.
Yes, it hit. Yeah.
Now it's just HBO bargains and then television.
And if you're looking for a CD, don't even worry about it.
Don't even worry about genre anymore.
It's all together.
It's all together.
Are you serious?
Is it even alphabetical?
Is that the only thing that happened?
It was set out to be alphabetical.
It may not be alphabetical.
That they were shot because nobody pays attention to it.
No, and you got kids that go through there.
Just throw stuff where they want to throw it.
It was just a beating.
Absolutely beating.
And then you've seen what the register situation looks like now.
Yeah, the cattle call thing.
Well, not only that, but they've cut the number of registers they have.
Like in half.
Let's see. Well, they had four.
Did they just have two whenever you and I were there last week?
Two. I've never seen more than two open.
Of course, I wouldn't exactly glut of people in there.
I'm sure they're in there.
What I went in there.
No, I went in there.
What I bought Charlotte's Christmas gift there.
And it was was when.
How close to Christmas was it?
The week before.
Oh, geez.
They had two registers open and the store pickup register.
Wow.
I sat in that line for 20 minutes if I sat there for nothing.
Back in the day, they had at least four.
Not including the customer pickup.
No, counter.
This was probably the Thursday before Christmas week before.
That's ridiculous.
Because I gave it to her the Sunday before Christmas.
Because at that point, you're just putting yourself at a
Marked disadvantage.
You're not going to be able to serve as as many consumers.
People are going to get frustrated walk out.
And you know why they only got two open.
You only got five people working in the whole store.
True.
Their labor must be zero because God forbid.
And God forbid you ask somebody that's a windows person.
Microsoft rep anything about any other product.
They have no clue and don't and it's like they don't care to know.
I'd say I wonder if it's.
They don't know or they're not supposed to know.
They've been told not to know.
Well, bring me to somebody who does.
Yeah, point me in the direction.
It's not like you don't know anybody else that works there.
Yeah.
You've been in a break room with them at least once.
The the the the the the the the the the fan boy is.
I'm needs to stop and come to helping at that.
I mean, I understand if you don't want to buy my product. Hey, more power to you.
But let me get you to somebody that knows what they're talking about.
So they can give you the right answer.
You're looking for because maybe just maybe you are looking for my product.
And you don't know it. Yeah.
You look at this other product.
You know what I'm better off with this other product.
You'll let the salesman and you come out.
Let the pride in your work come out.
Yeah. If nothing else.
It's just it's depressing.
I mean, we've seen so many of these big buck big box retailers shut down.
Could we be seeing the beginning of the end for best buy maybe.
Somewhere the people that own circuit city are going.
Boy, are we live? We bailed when we did.
Yeah.
Because that that completely.
For me for a loop on that happened.
Even super target does a better job with their electronics.
Then an electronic store does their department.
At least our super target their their electronics department is so small.
But at least they know what they're doing.
Well, because it's easier to maintain because it's not so big.
I mean.
They've got to come up with a better with a better solution than what they've got.
If nothing else.
Maybe throw in a couple of touch screens and type in what you're looking for.
And it'll let you know that it's in stock.
Press this to summon an associate.
And some guys got a little beeper on or something.
Tongle.
I don't know that that'll help.
I don't know that that'll help.
Some really, really don't.
Well, anything's better than what they've got now.
Because this thing is broken.
It's not just.
It's not just a little bit broken.
It's it's it's completely falling apart.
I don't want to go in there again.
Best buy.
Get it figured out.
Because the big yellow ticket used to be your and my go-to place.
You ain't lying.
And I don't I don't want to come within 20 yards of it anymore.
Get it figured out.
Best buy.
You're listening to the clubhouse podcast live every Sunday night.
7 Eastern 4 Pacific.
3 weeks from tonight.
We'll be our next WWE paper view.
The first paper view of the year and the first major of the year.
As the Royal Rumble happens.
We will be doing it live right here at the studio.
We will not be at an undisclosed location because said individual that the host's undisclosed location will be out of town.
So we'll be here.
Is it going north again?
I believe so.
I believe so.
Why?
He's going to have to get up.
I don't know.
So let's go ahead.
Let's talk some music headlines because we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Ringo Starr says in the statement the other day.
Not peace and love.
Peace and love.
Nothing like that.
He's releasing a new album this year and a new tour this year.
And before you go in, it's Ringo Starr.
Go back and look at the people that he has tour with him.
When it's Ringo Starr's all star band.
That brother's not hitting.
Oh, Sheila was his drummer on Sarah the tour.
Yes, sir.
So Ringo vocally not the strongest of the Beatles.
But I'm totally puts on a good show.
Your man still has talent.
Regardless of what you may feel about him.
Not you specifically.
I'm the same.
The royal you.
I get it.
Also a brand new single in five years.
Dex Month comes from this group who I know your wife can't stand.
But I clicked it with the heck.
Your wife is not a fan.
No.
This group in any way.
I kind of like him.
But she can't stand.
But the prodigy first new single in five years drops next month.
I didn't realize they did one five years ago.
Oh, we're also not their target.
Demo either.
Okay.
No.
So now we talked about this earlier.
You're ready for your.
Idina Menzel headline.
Yes.
She intake digs of divorce.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, I do that.
I had no clue.
There were a couple.
I had no clue.
Yeah.
They announced it.
Several.
About two months ago it seems.
No, the divorce is now final.
Yeah.
But you didn't know that they were even married.
I had no clue.
Neither did I.
No clue.
No.
There was one music new release this week.
And I didn't even recognize what it was.
So I didn't want to pretend I knew something that I didn't.
So there's that.
Okay.
Deep breath.
There was college football.
There was college football.
I'd say.
Let us start with your with your ball prediction updates.
Currently.
Tied for last place.
Fifteen out of thirty.
Seven.
Dawn and Charlotte.
Really?
Hmm.
So his theory did not work.
No.
And the best he can do right now is 16 out of 39.
I'm just curious.
Because he's the only one that tonight has Toledo.
But he did he actually had Florida State winning the whole thing.
And they're not going to be there.
So he went completely against his gut.
I'm wondering how it would have turned out if he had gone with his gut.
He'd be at least.
You know, he'd probably be closer to you.
Uh-huh.
Three games ahead of them is me at 18.
Currently leading and will not relinquish said lead.
As we go to the final two games of the year is Chad, you have 24 out of 37 going correct.
Sir.
I wish I had money on this.
Um, you, you mathematically won it.
After, um, the, the, what would game was that?
After the tax layer ball.
Because that was the last game that you and I picked differently on.
Because we both had Oklahoma State.
We both had Florida tonight.
We both have Arkansas State.
Now as far as the up touchdown cowboys, by the way.
Oh, thank God.
As far as the finals go, the only two people that have a shot in the championship game are you in
Charlotte.
Okay.
Because I picked Alabama to win the whole thing.
Alabama loses to Ohio State.
Uh, and Don picked Florida State.
And Florida State lost.
Can't believe he did that.
Four turnovers in the second half.
All led to work and touchdown.
If for no other reason, just out of respect for you in this room.
Oh, and by the way, he owes me a nickel.
By the way, he does because Houston beat pit as I predicted.
How does he owe you a nickel that you've been a nickel on it?
Remember, remember when we did that.
Oh, that's right.
That was a side dead.
That was a side dead.
That was a side dead.
Okay.
And he lost.
Because I gave him two to one.
I'd have given him a dime.
So in Arlington, Texas, right now two minutes 32 seconds to go.
Cowboys up by four.
They're first lead of the game.
Try to awful a lot of time on that clock.
I know it's too much.
And if it's one thing that Detroit's show making doing this game is it's eat the clock.
And what always gets you.
But it's got to be six.
It can be three.
So the only games I think that Dallas has lost this season are games they haven't scored more than 30 points in.
That's true.
But there's always room to change the trend.
This is the playoffs.
This is true.
Why?
Do you know he's got more.
Winds as a coach with no playoff.
Winds at all.
Yeah.
I thought they showed that that story earlier on the CBS pregame.
That makes it.
But him saying that that name is type thing of him doing the playoffs.
They that much more ironic.
Thank you poor soul.
For more.
That will forever be out patrol.
I still don't understand though.
Why we're taking a week and a half between the semi-finals in the championship game.
I don't get that.
What between.
Once it's been decided and when the superheroes play.
Those games were played New Year's night.
And the championship is a week from tomorrow.
So that's almost two weeks.
Oh, we're talking college.
College.
Okay.
All right.
Let us move on and do our in Memorial segment.
Because we've actually got a few to talk about this week.
And a couple of these are going to hurt real.
We're going to start talking about Donna Douglas born Doris Smith.
In September of 1932.
She was born in Pride East Baton Rouge, Paris, Louisiana.
I did not know that.
I know she was a southerner.
She played it way too well to not be.
You would know her.
Mostly as Ellie may clamp it.
From the Beverly Hillbillies aired from 1962 to 1971.
In high school, she was a softball and basketball player.
It was a was part of St. Gerard Catholic High School's first graduating class.
She was Miss Baton Rouge and Miss New Orleans in 1957.
Then moved to New York City to pursue a career in show business.
Started out as an illustration model for toothpaste advertisements.
She was one of the letters girl on the Perry Como show.
A Christmas staple if there ever was one.
But you would know her best as Ellie may clamp it over the Beverly Hillbillies.
She was one of the films with Elvis.
I can't remember which one.
Not a bit like the Cisco kid or something like that.
It looked like a western.
They showed like a little clip of him like poking up through a window.
She was walking past it.
And the sound was down.
But I don't know if he was singing to her or talking to her.
But she wasn't an Elvis film.
In June 10th, 1993, she and her partner Kurt Wilson in associate artist filed a $200 million
lawsuit because Disney will be Goldberg Bent Middler and CAA claiming that sister act
was plagiarized from a book they owned called and none in the closet.
Really?
Trying to look at it.
And lost the case.
Well, this is Disney.
They were offered a $1 million settlement and turned it down and took it to court.
And the judgment.
Not so much.
Did a lot of post acting.
Two worked as a gospel singer and a speaker with church groups youth groups schools
and colleges across the states.
Also kind of somebody that's out of our realm.
But we knew that I knew the name when I heard it.
You talk about living a full life.
Little Jimmy Dickens dies at the age of 92.
Yeah, I did it.
Remember of the grand old operie?
He was four foot 11 hence the name.
It became a country.
A member of the country music hall of fame in 1983.
But he began his musical career in the 1930s on W.J. L. S. radio station
and Beckley West of Virginia while he was attending West Virginia University.
He was known as Jimmy the kid early on.
He was heard on a radio station in Saginawa by Roy A. Cup in 1948.
And signed them with Columbia.
Join the Grandal Opera in August of 48.
A lot of novelty songs.
Country boy, a sleeping at the foot of the bed.
I'm little but I'm loud.
Taking old cold tater in weight.
And that inspired Hank Williams and Nick name and tater along before Ron White had that.
Had his first top 10 country hit in 1954 with the,
Oh, I'm sorry.
In 1962 we had his first top 10 country hit since 1954 with the violet in the rose.
He was the first country artist to circle the globe while on tour.
Really?
His biggest hit in 1965 made a bird of paradise fly up your nose.
Love that.
He also later in life did a bunch of,
made a bunch of appearances in Brad Paisley videos.
He was also featured on several of Paisley's albums and bonus comedy tracks with people like George Jones and Bill Anderson.
Collectively referred to as the Kung Paal Buccarus.
Stop it.
That's just,
When Hank Locklin died in March 2009 he became the oldest living member of the Grandal Opera.
The Kung Paal.
Often, often would open his shoes.
Saying he was Willie Nelson after taxes because he was so sure.
Because he's got genius.
What a bit.
He was died of a stroke a Christmas day.
Days after his last appearance on the operative mark his birthday.
I'm sorry.
He was hospitalized after a stroke passed away on January 2nd.
I apologize of 94 survived by his wife,
Mona Dickens, who we married in 1971.
And two daughters, Pamela,
Peter and Lisa King.
What a life.
Tell you what.
When I heard the name, I was like, I know that name.
It's like I want to have a type here.
There we go.
Also passing away the other day and I got this.
I was driving somewhere and got this notification.
Mario Cuomo, former governor of New York,
born January 15th, 1932.
This is sad, man.
This is so sad.
The day his son is sworn in as governor.
Known for his liberal views and public speeches.
Most famous for his keynote speech of the 1984 Democratic National Convention,
where he criticized Reagan's policy.
Yeah, they were showing the fool out of that on the news.
A lot of people thought he would be the front runner for 88 92,
but he declined it in both instances.
I think he would have won it personally.
I think he probably would have won it.
He was defeated by George Pataki in 1994,
and after that he retired.
Yeah, never ran for office again after that.
Another one of his sons Chris Cuomo was currently a journalist for CNN.
This is true.
I always forget about that.
That of natural causes due to heart failure on New Year's day.
Born in the Briarwood section of New York City in Queens,
to a family of Italian origin.
His both of his parents were from Italy.
So he straighted out his cheeseboard up there.
A his family owned a store in South Jamaica, Queens.
attended PS50 and St. John's prep school played baseball,
whopping by all attending St. John's University in 1952.
He actually signed as an outfield outfielder with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Got a $2,000 signing bonus which he used to buy his girlfriend in engagement ring.
You got to like the guy.
I mean, got his bachelor's degree in 1953.
He became widely known in New York City in the late 1960s
when he represented the corona fighting 69.
A group of 69 home owners from the Queens neighborhood of Corona
who were threatened with displacement by the city's plans to build a new high school.
In 1974 he ran for a lieutenant governor under Howard J. Samuels.
I mean, this was a guy who did a lot of great things for the state of New York.
You know, you can, people with, it's, it's very easy to put him in the same breath
as Rudy Giuliani.
Yes, I was just a lot of people did because both of those guys
are a lot of great things for both the city and the state of New York.
And he will be sorely missed.
Imagine those two is running mate.
Good night.
Don't even bother running against him. Just don't.
And the only guy that did beat him, it was way late in his career.
He was like, I'm dead anyway. It's good.
And then this morning, this is what woke me this morning.
It was my, my phone got a notification from ESPN.
And I was like, man, it's early.
What are we?
Are we giving me something that's not going to start one of football games?
And then we found out that at the age of 49,
Stewart Orlando Scott.
Take out his middle name.
Sports center anchor.
Stewart Scott passed away.
Nobody will say that he lost his fight with cancer.
Because he said, when I die, I will not lose the fight with cancer.
You received a special award at the ESPNs this past year.
For his, I believe it's the Arthur Ash award.
I believe she thought, yeah, I think that's what they came.
When I was in my 20s, I was working a job at a call center.
And we're not even giving you the facts.
You know who Stewart Scott is.
But I was working at a call center.
I was working a weird shift.
I was working the the three to 11 30 shift.
And I get home just in time for the late night sports center to fire up.
And one night, these two guys hit my television.
That changed my ESPN viewing habits forever.
And they were Stewart Scott and Ray Chizen.
Because they brought such a fresh approach and really as,
as old school references as Chris Burman is, these guys were new school references.
You know, the first baseball highlight I heard Stewart Scott commentate.
I don't remember who it was, but they hit the ball.
And he went, he didn't want to get wicked.
And I was like, it was like, it was like time stopped.
I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Because if I had a DDR, I would have rewound it back then.
And I was like, okay, you have my attention, sir.
And I remember him saying some football teams defense was stingier than the only kill in the block with ice cream.
And I was like, who is this?
And I, one of the things I'll never forget was their day to the segment.
And again, this was the midnight, the 1 a.m. Eastern Sports Center.
And they did a segment where they switched bits.
And so you've got Stewart Scott doing with the kiss.
And he gets a rich eyes and then he goes, boo, yeah.
And you just hear this voice off-camera, dude.
Don't ever do that again.
I mean, in my opinion, he is the Sports Anchor for ESPN.
The, I mean, him and I'll shoot.
I'm drunk.
You know, I'm a big fan.
I mean, it changed the way Sports Center wins.
It wasn't just these dry highlights.
People were injecting personality into it.
Look at people like Kenny Maine.
One of my favorite Kenny Maine isms.
Jordan, looking for Pippin, find him.
He knows them.
They're teammates.
You know what I'm saying?
Scott Van Pelt, who does the greatest even a Smith impersonation on the planet.
You had these people that were putting personality into highlights which made ESPN that much better.
Stewart Scott to me is always going to be the guy that really made me a Sports Center watcher.
Always.
Like I watched it casually before then.
But after I first discovered him and Rich Eisen together, it kind of made it must see.
It was that was my stop down.
I get home from work.
I tune up Sports Center.
Watch those boys for an hour and go to bed.
And you really couldn't go to bed until you did.
And if you haven't looked up, I've only watched too.
I've watched Rich Eisen's tribute this morning on NFL Network.
And I watched Hannah Storm's tribute to him this morning on Sports Center.
I got to see if Oldman's done anything.
I've guaranteed you he has.
I don't know if he's got anything alive yet.
But to me that's the other guy.
That was one of the things.
Yeah.
Oldman was another great guy.
And they were all of that same.
You could call it that same Sports Center class.
Uh-huh.
Susie Colber, Mike Terrico.
Um.
I didn't know Susie Colber.
I was watching a documentary the other day.
Um.
Oh no, it was one of the Monday night wars and they were talking about Tyson.
She worked for Fox News for a while.
She did.
Yeah.
They had her on a Fox News broadcast talking about Russell Mania 13.
Or I'm sorry, Russell Mania 14.
Really?
Yeah.
I was like, where did this come from?
Why am I just now finding out about it?
Right.
Uh.
To lose Stuart Scott.
It's to lose part of your childhood.
Or are my young adult?
I guess you could say.
Uh, he leaves behind two daughters.
Um, a girlfriend in the next wife.
Apparently never left his side.
And that's, that's just.
You couldn't help but like the guy.
And worked all the way up until.
Had a car accident a few years ago.
Came back with the thick coke bottle glasses because he'd hit his head.
Battled cancer for seven years.
He had, had so much personality.
It's not even funny.
He was the guy we all wanted to be.
Yeah.
You know, you, you, that's the guy that cool.
That's the guy living the dream.
So with no disrespect to the other people in this segment.
Stuart Scott.
You sir will be missed by many, many so many people from so many different walks of life.
Even people that were casual sports fans will miss just what you did sir.
There is a gaping hole in ESPN now.
Brother, you ain't lying.
Speaking of sports.
But better way to give tribute to him than to go into a sports segment as we talk some NBA.
Lebron James out up to two weeks for the Cavaliers.
What do they say?
You could never beat father time.
He's been in this league a long time sir.
What did he come, what did he, him and Dwayne came in the same year.
But Dwayne three years older because he went to college.
Yeah.
I want to say it was a 2003.
Jesus.
It's been, it's been 11 or 12 season.
Let me see.
Keep talking.
But he'll be out up to two weeks with his injuries.
Looks like the Cavaliers may have sealed the game.
We're trying to keep an eye on it.
Looks like Stafford is walking off the field.
We may have a ball game done in Arlington, Texas.
Keep an eye on that for you right now.
NBA draft 2003 round one.
Pick what I saw.
Yeah.
That's what I thought.
Oh, they forced Stafford to cough up the ball too.
That's it.
It's over.
Cowboys now will go to Green Bay.
It's week.
This is starting to feel a little familiar.
And Detroit played last week.
And Carolina will now go to Seattle.
I'm not sure if what I'm more comfortable.
Indie will go to Denver.
And the Ravens will go to New England.
There is a good football.
It could be played.
So Saturday will be all AFC.
Sunday will be all NFC.
Oh God, Dallas has the ball for you.
The clock is ticking.
Detroit only has one time out.
It's over.
I can breathe again.
Let's go to your standings right now.
In the Eastern Conference.
Atlantic Division.
Chad, the Philadelphia 76ers are still in last place.
They're 19 and a half back.
They are four in 28.
They've lost their last five straight.
They are four souls.
But you know what?
They're only a half game behind the NYX.
And the NYX have lost 10 straight.
But you know what?
Somebody gives me tickets to the garden.
I'm still going to go.
Because the garden.
But it is not paid to be a New York sports fan these days.
And the NYX are eight.
I'm sorry.
The NYX.
The NYX are eight games behind Boston right now.
Boston is five and a half behind Brooklyn.
Brooklyn is now seven and a half.
Even after winning three straight.
They are seven and a half back on Toronto.
Who have lost two in a row.
In the central division.
But Detroit pistons at nine and twenty three are 15.
Fourteen games back.
You see they've got the games back and the conference games back.
Right next to each other.
It freaks me out.
But Detroit's one four straight.
They are three games behind the Pacers.
Remember the Pacers were in the conference championship?
Yeah.
They're next to last right now.
They're four games behind Milwaukee.
Milwaukee two back on Cleveland.
Cleveland now five back on Chicago.
Chicago's one two in a row.
In the south east division.
The Charlotte Hornets at eleven and twenty four are 15 games back.
They are a game behind Orlando.
Orlando is three and a half back on my beloved heat.
Who buy the way the heat of lost four straight.
And have lost them with authority.
These weren't close games.
Orlando beat them by double digits the other night.
Washington eight and a half up on Miami.
But only three back on the Atlanta Hawks who won four in a row.
In the western conference.
North West division.
Minnesota five and twenty seven.
They're only a game ahead of Philly for the worst record in the league.
Right now.
They're 20 games back.
And by the way, the timber bulls have lost eleven in a row.
They've only won three games at home this year.
That's Philly.
Philly has still not won a home game.
They're all in 14.
You taught six games ahead of Minnesota.
But two behind Denver.
Denver is three back in Oklahoma City.
Right now.
Oklahoma season one two in a row.
But they're still nine back on the Thunder.
Up and there's Des Bryant running his app.
He's kind of the reason I really can't support the Cowboys right now.
Because he's just such a jerk.
In the Pacific division, the Lakers.
You want to take a guess?
How many games back they are?
How many games have they won?
Oh, we played 33 games so far.
12.
Take two out.
Wow.
They're 10 and 20 to another 17 back.
They're four games behind Sacramento.
Sacramento four behind Phoenix.
Who is four and a half behind the clippers.
The clippers now four and a half back on Golden State.
Golden State and the clippers of both one three in a row.
Golden State's only lost one game at home this year.
They're 13 and one at the house.
And in the only game.
And the only division that matters to Chad.
In the South West division.
They know what it means.
Public games are one game behind below 500.
Okay, take out.
I'm sorry.
They're one game above 500.
Okay.
So they're 17 and 16.
They sure you have competitive.
Your division is sir.
They're still 10 games back.
God.
San Antonio is three games better than them.
Houston three games better than them.
Dallas.
Is now three.
What are we doing here?
Oh, there.
No.
I'm sorry.
There are seven games back.
Again, they get these calm.
So close together.
So New Orleans is seven back.
They're three behind San Antonio who's three behind Houston.
Dallas now tied with Memphis for a first place in the division.
But it's actually a half game difference because Dallas has won.
There's one one game more but lost one game more.
But Dallas is only just barely hitting double digits and losses.
So you're Mavericks.
Maybe they know more than I do.
I don't know.
Maybe so.
I thought that Rondo trade was a bad idea.
But they're moving things.
They didn't need to add for NBA talk sir.
No.
I'm just.
I'm glad things are going better than usual.
Right.
Let me get some things.
Cute up here.
And the S.B.
There we go.
We are your one stop shop for all things.
Sports and entertainment.
Let's combine the two.
And do a little be it.
Of.
Resting talk.
Jerry the King Waller admitted to the hospital the other day with
Diverticularitis.
Oh no.
If I'm not mistaken, wasn't that what's.
Lesnar was hospitalized for a reason that you have seen.
I just remembered being I thought a fictional.
To see he's at a couple of Saturday and out live characters of.
Doug and Wendy Weiner were always suffering from.
I didn't know it was a real thing.
It's a later.
Oh, is that part of their bit?
Hmm.
That's what caused them to win all the time.
They had Diverticularitis.
Oh, that's a thing brother.
I've had no idea.
Let's get right into raw.
Great sign in the crowd.
Eat.
Sleep.
Stay at home.
Repeat.
I said well played sir, madam.
That's my mantra pretty well.
And I'm a little upset this week.
JBL called the titles of subtitles.
Real.
So I don't.
I cannot confirm nor deny that he didn't say it the week before.
But I didn't think he said it.
And I think I just heard it myself.
So.
And I don't know.
Did I get shooting catcher on my then I did you know.
So Miz and Miz dialed by the way who dropped the tag team titles to the Usos.
They went to go back to talk to Edge and Christian because remember they were running.
The shows this week.
Edge and Christian.
And you had the combined the cutting edge peep show happened.
And so they were starting to do the Miz and Miz now bit.
So Edge pulled out of puppet.
Oh no.
Let's see.
Yes.
I missed those two.
I do too.
They did a great job though.
And respect to Edge on Raw he was wearing a Sammy's A and T shirt.
And on SmackDown he was wearing a Cesaro King of Swing T shirt.
Which I you know respect to that.
But then the ending happened.
Let me set the stage for you.
Okay.
It's the cutting edge peep show when your guest is Seth Rowans.
With Jay and Jay security.
Who will talk about more in a minute.
They set up a deal so that all of a sudden it looks like we're setting edge up for the curb
Stomp on the briefcase.
Unless John Cena comes out and gives Seth Rowans what he wants.
I guess what Seth Rowans wants.
No idea.
He wants the authority back.
And guess what happens.
Oh boy.
Yep.
The authority's back.
Yay.
But apparently this was the plan all along.
It was to get them back first of the year.
To begin the road to WrestleMania for Triple H Sting.
Still not the matchup I want.
But it's not the matchup you're going to get.
By the way, there was a picture on Facebook today of him and his wife with a seizure.
Not a non problem.
Not one.
Yeah.
Well played Mark.
But yeah.
So the authority's back.
Yay.
Because that's what everybody needed.
That's what I'm not even going to say.
It's a wrestling logic, sir.
That's just lack of logic.
We're so sick of them.
But they're not sick of doing it.
So unfortunately we're stuck with what they want.
But they have their they listen to the WWE universe and they give the WWE viewers what they want.
No they don't because if they did they wouldn't be on TV all the friggin time.
So TNA resigned Madison Rain.
EC3.
Jesse Gauders.
And this guy.
How is that?
How is that ship?
Not sunk yet.
Right now their roster is floating around 50 people.
That's just the roster.
It's like how are you for you to pay all these people?
And this Wednesday is the big night destination America.
Live impact.
I wouldn't call it a big night for probably for destination America it is.
So if you don't have your DVR set.
I mean I can't judge you for that.
I'm going to set it because we do it for the kids people.
We do it for the kids.
This remember to start to this Wednesday night on destination America.
And then next week they go to their normal time slot on Friday nights at nine Eastern.
Because your flagship show goes into the death slot.
So there's that.
Also because apparently TNA doesn't have enough problems.
Lockdown is not going to be a paper view this year.
If you remember last year I think they only did three paper views at the most.
Lockdown was one of them.
It was in San Antonio front of the shows Steven Zimmerman went.
This year it's not a paper view.
It's going to be regular episode of impact.
The rumor is they're doing away with paper views altogether.
Wow.
So we'll just record everything two months ahead of time.
Rob Terry has been moved to the TNA alumni section.
So he may be done with the company even as the freak in the menagerie.
They're calling that a three-man team now instead of two.
Instead of four.
So there's that.
Also moved to the alumni section.
Really bully Ray.
So apparently he and Devon are going to be free agents.
Go ahead and say it.
Come home.
There you go.
But I'm also hearing rumors of New Japan for them too.
And we had a debut of somebody last night at the Ring of Honor tapings.
Which I don't know who it was.
Sure.
Haha.
He's now an Alberto Del Rio now known as El Patron.
He debuted last night at the R.O.H. tapings versus Christopher Daniels.
Also showing up at the R.O.H. tapings last night to help out the briskos was one ODB.
I know you're a fan.
We need to get whoever that network is at the sinclier broadcasting network who ever show them.
We need to get an affiliate in Dallas.
We got they have one in Austin because it's all the commercial for it.
And I don't care that it shows Saturday night to 11.30.
I'll leave you.
All right.
As long as you've got room.
Which I do now by the way.
60% free space now.
Thank you very much.
And you know how many recordings are mine?
Three.
Really.
I've got the world's end.
The Simon Peg movie.
Right.
I've got the rock and roll Hall of Fame induction from last year and last year's double words.
That's it to watch.
The rest of them are Jen's.
Last year's what awards?
The double awards.
The gospel musical.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
They're called the doves.
Just a dub awards.
Am I hearing a dub step?
No.
No.
That's why I was asking for clarification.
Talk a little smack down.
I actually have notes from smack down this week.
I did not realize how short Joey Mercury is.
Because think about Jamie Noble for a minute.
He's maybe an inch and an inch and a half taller than Jamie Noble.
I know he's I know he's a weak guy.
And I don't mean he plays in the Nintendo system.
And Christian has now helped me coin a new phrase that I can use for somebody that I don't like.
He called Jay and Jay security dork chops.
Don't tell me you're not going to use that.
That is funny.
Yes.
That's that's up there with Arch Dush.
I know.
It was like dork chops.
Well done, sir.
I'm maybe done.
And you know I'm not a huge fan of Arch Ruth.
I don't say it as a character.
As a human being, I have no issue with them.
Because I've heard good things about him.
But as a character, I can't do it.
Do you know that he did a call and response channel of whoop.
There it is on SmackDown this week.
I'm not kidding you.
And how updated is that?
What's he three year old reference?
Good night.
What did you know what?
I saw what may have been the greatest shirt of all time.
Ringside on a girl on SmackDown.
They said I'm a Charles Robinson girl.
I was like.
Because it took me like two segments.
Because she was never on camera long enough.
And I'm like, does that say what I think that's it?
But you know you would have marked up like a school girl.
If it said I'm a little native girl.
One of the greatest moments of all time.
That's the shirt you need.
That's the shirt you need.
And then the ascension did debut on those raw and SmackDown this week.
But on SmackDown, they fought two jobbers.
And they never said who they were.
They never said who the two mechanics were that were in the ring with them.
So I did some digging.
I found out one of them was a cousin of the Usos.
And the other one was former ROH personality ret Titus.
Who was a great wrestler.
But they're making them a jobber in WWE.
Really?
I could not believe that.
But the ascension, you know.
Stone Cole was just talking on his podcast this week that they don't have enough of the matches with.
That they just have an established superstar work of five minute match against the jobber.
Which other certain level do you kind of miss that?
Because you have so many big names versus big names.
You kind of get spoiled after a while.
You know, give me these these squash matches so we can see kind of who these guys are.
And it doesn't hurt anybody.
You know, there's guys that made absolute careers out of this.
Yeah, the Brooklyn Brawler.
I mean, it was one of the biggest ones.
Barry Horowitz.
I've got to love me some very well.
Uh, Al Snow.
But who kind of part laid that into a big thing?
Yeah.
The job squad.
Um, I mean, you had a lot of great, the mokey brothers.
Well, never forget the day they beat the row warriors on the World Championship wrestling.
And it was the one of the craziest things I've ever seen.
But let us keep moving to a little bit of the hacking.
The uh, you know what?
I missed the uh, the winner classic.
I was just about to ask you.
Do you watch it because I did?
What would you think?
Was it good?
Oh, it's great.
You want to talk about a great ending, you know,
Gaps pulled it off in front of a hometown crowd in the baseball stadium.
Which was really strange.
Um, I like that.
They just did it once this year.
Correct.
They went back to that.
So my knowledge, they don't have any more schedule.
Which to me, just adds to the specialness of the family.
Be one winner classic.
Yeah.
To be that's the outdoor series.
Yeah.
Now, what I mind if, you know,
there were teams that went strictly to an outdoor format new.
I would not mind at all.
But yeah, hard that is to do.
Well, yeah.
Of course I do.
But, you know, they play in Alaska.
But, you know, how often, you know, how often, uh, football teams deal with the deal with the elements outside.
I don't know why hockey players couldn't.
All right, hockey fans.
You gotta keep the ice out.
It's not the fans.
The conditions of the game itself.
I still think it's probably doable.
Let's go to.
Standing in the eastern conference at Atlantic Division.
And, uh, news that I'm sure will upset Chad horribly.
The Buffalo Sabers are 23 points out of first place.
They've lost four straight.
I've got no beef with the Buffalo Sabers, even though that's who we had to take out to get the cup.
But, were there eight points behind Oderwa?
You say that about Detroit.
Now I'm happy.
Oderwa is four points behind my beloved Florida Panthers who are one point behind the Boston Bruins.
John Anderson's beloved Bruins.
Boston, one point behind Toronto, Toronto, four behind Detroit.
Detroit is three behind Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay, two behind Montreal.
But Montreal's one six in a row.
Do you have God?
In a mental pose in Division.
You can't say that any other way.
Like, how snooty are you?
This is hockey.
The word metropolitan never come into play.
Just, just, just love the.
Thirsty and how the third acts, if you love it.
This is the most remote in Division.
The Carolina Panthers are, uh, see, 25 points out of first place.
They are seven behind Jersey.
Jersey tied with Philly and Columbus.
But the three of them are 11 points behind the New York Rangers who are a point behind
Washington.
Washington, six behind Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh is tied with the Islanders for first place in that division.
In the Western Division, Pacific, Western Commerce, Pacific Division.
The Edmonton Oilers have 25 points.
They are 31 out of first place.
They are nine behind Arizona.
Arizona, coyotes.
That's going to take me some use to get these two.
They are 11 behind Calgary, who is tied with San Jose.
Both of them, two behind the LA Kings who are tied with Vancouver.
But in a high and right now running away with the division, they are up on both Vancouver
and LA by nine points.
In the central division, that has no Eastern or Western division.
The Colorado Avalanche, 38 points right now.
They are 15 out of first place.
They're two behind Minnesota Dallas.
They're only eight points out of first place right now.
They're third from the last division.
They're six behind Winnipeg.
Who's two behind St. Louis.
Who's three behind Chicago.
Nashville kind of kicking a little butt right now.
I do always like that Nashville logo with a big same or two.
Yeah, V2.
It's one of the more intimidating looking logos out there.
As we are closing in on the All-Star Break for both basketball and hockey.
About four weeks away.
How many things have you written in the last few days you had to change the year on?
Nothing yet.
I missed typed at once.
Now how things go tomorrow or work I make no guarantees.
But because I return to work tomorrow after my...
Not a good vacation.
You'll be jacking up.
Not just a year but a month too.
But I mean, I feel good.
Like for the first time after a vacation a long time,
I feel like I've had my battery recharge.
You feel fully rested and ready to take it on.
I'm still not ready to get up at 5.15 in the morning.
But you're never really ready for that.
But some people are.
But I'm ready to get back to the job.
And if from what I've heard everything went really well,
while I was gone nothing melted down so we're in a really good place.
So let us move on and do a little bit of movie talk.
Box office numbers.
The only movie dropping out of the top 10 this week.
Dropping from 9 to 12 is Exodus Gods and Kings.
$3.7 million.
$4 weeks.
$61.2 million.
$149.
Sometimes I'm right.
Oh, and also dropping, I'm sorry, there's more than one.
Dropping from 10 to 11 is the Reese Witherspoon movie wild.
$4.5 million for a 5-week total of $25.8 million.
I do not have a budget on that.
But who is never going to be a world beta anyway,
as far as box office was concerned.
But going from 11 to 10 this week is Big Hero 6.
Getting back into the top 10.
Good for that.
Well, kids on vacation.
$4.8 million for a 9-week total of $211.3 million.
$165 million.
It's a good job, Marvel.
Dropping from 7 to 9 this week is the gambler.
Look, it's alone.
I took it.
It's in a bag.
You already slipping into that accent before you infinite the time now.
I can't even get to it anymore.
The gambler.
The gambler.
I'm a gambler.
A gambler.
$6.3 million.
$2 weeks.
$27.6 million.
$25 million.
So, it'll make its money.
We get there.
Okay.
I thought we'd drop something there for a minute.
Dropping from 6 to 8 this week,
the 100 games mocking J. Part 1,
another $7.7 million.
$7 weeks.
$323.9 million.
I don't know.
$125 million.
The imitation game goes from 8 to 7.
The competitive cumber batch.
Here at nightly vehicle.
$8.1 million.
$6 weeks.
$30.8 million.
Had bad.
The Annie movie.
Remind me later.
Drops from 5 to 6 this week.
$11.4 million.
For a three week total of $72.6 million.
$65 million.
This thing cannot go a week.
Dropping from 4 to 5 this week.
Not at the museum.
Secret of the tomb.
It's not a tomb.
14.5 million.
$3 week total.
$89.7 million.
$127 million.
And this is a good film.
It's an enjoyable film.
The only debut this week at number four.
The woman in black two angel of death.
$15.2 million.
And that's the old one.
The only one in black two angel of death.
$15.2 million.
And that's the old one.
And we got to do not have a budget on that.
Unbroken.
Your top three.
Stay the same.
Your bronze medal.
Unbroken.
Another $18.4 million.
$2 weeks.
$87.8 million.
$8 million.
On a $65 million.
And also into the woods.
Stay the silver medal.
$19.1 million.
Two weeks.
$91.2 million.
$15 million.
$15 million.
I've talked to a couple of people that have seen this and gone.
Not that great buddy.
I kind of get that vibe from it.
It does nothing for me.
As much as I had that unhealthy crush on the Anna Kendrick.
I just, I didn't care about it as a Broadway show.
I don't really care about as a film.
And you know what scares me?
One of the things I think is kind of keeping me from being interested with it was that.
I think it's Johnny Depp.
Really?
I really do.
I think so.
Johnny Depp has really stopped being a selling point now.
He's had so many tanks and failures on his resume.
As of late.
I think that he's no longer guaranteed box office gold.
I think it's time they woke up and smell that coffee.
Yeah.
Until 23.
Jump Street.
And then winning the weekend again.
The Hobbit, the Battle of the Five Armies.
I wouldn't saw this last night.
I watched the entire trilogy this past week.
Oh, that's a binge.
Really not in a row.
I did one each night.
I think I skipped a night in there somewhere.
Unexpected journey went very fast.
I was surprised.
I was like, wow.
This two and a half hours kind of sailed.
Does it kind of freak you out knowing that the goblin king was the same voice as
Bruce the shark from finding Nemo.
That's a day madna.
I did.
But I did like that.
They had mountain pennant in it.
It makes me happy.
Oh yeah.
Big time.
Does the distillation of Smog?
Smog?
Whoever you are.
Wow.
That was a long three hours.
It was the two towers of that trilogy.
I was like, this got to end soon.
Is that can we get the dragon out of the castle now?
Please.
Please, please.
Now.
Now.
Please.
It turned into a hole alone there for a little while.
Oh, god.
And if you're going to call the distillation of Smog,
kill Smog in the second one.
Like.
You didn't kill him.
You went to the third one.
It kind of felt like that whole opening was just like in case you
were like, it was like last time on the Hobbit.
That's what it was for me.
But once you get past that, I really enjoyed the battle of five armies.
The Hobbit turned into Dawson's Creed.
It really did.
And I was like, what the crap just get on with.
Yeah.
The fact that they that they show that whole Shabbang,
and then you get the title card.
I'm like, but that's what they did.
No, no, no, no, no.
The fact that you get what should have been the ending for the second one.
Right.
Before the Tyler card to the third one, I'm like, that was so unnecessary.
Because you had plenty of stuff to do in the third one.
But I enjoyed it.
That battle was insane.
21.9 million dollars for a three week total of 220.8 million dollars.
Don't have the budget on that for some reason.
But it's official.
It's over.
Yes.
It is.
And from from 20 minutes before the credits to the end of the credits.
My daughter was sobbing nonstop.
It's good.
I enjoyed it very much.
And it news that will make Chad probably happier than me.
Jurassic World has announced there will be a Super Bowl spot.
Oh, good.
I just this trailer does nothing for me.
I just feel like I'm watching the first one again.
Is that a bad thing?
Yeah, because I saw it the first time.
When was called dress park?
I do think it was interesting in the trailer that there was a Margaritaville there.
Is there?
Do you watch the trailer?
Yeah.
I didn't know.
Right when all hell breaks loose and they're running.
Right after the whole run.
There's a Margaritaville.
And to me, that shot in that trailer looks like there is an element that's yet to be added.
Oh, of course.
It looks like that there's probably going to be some sort of a tyrannodon or something added in that shot.
This does nothing.
And I really, like, I want it to be good if for no other reason I want it to be good for you.
Because I know you're such an Uber figure.
Remember, I still haven't seen JP3.
It'll take a little bit of the bad taste that you've asked me to.
But what's it?
Last world didn't bother me that much.
Last world bothered me because it was nowhere near as good as the first one.
Because there was no way it was going right.
But for me, I'm just like, because even the source material wasn't as good as the first book.
Because I kind of feel like you do.
You felt about me with the whole how long it took us to get staying on WWE television.
I don't want this to let you down.
Because you're such an Uber fan of this franchise.
Well, whereas I number one, I'm a casual fan.
Now, I will never forget the first Jurassic Park.
I saw it four times the first weekend.
So did I.
But 15 times over all the, actually, I saw the first one.
I just didn't do anything.
This trailer doesn't have nothing for me.
That made me go.
I mean, I like the little piano version of what I'm hearing right now.
At the end, that was kind of cool.
And I like Chris Pratt.
And you know, I like me some Bryce Dallas Howard.
Mm-hmm.
That's pretty girl.
But, and, you know, then me also comes from very talented family.
This is true.
But I just, this does nothing for me at all.
Well, I really can't.
I'm kind of bearing my lead here because this is going to come up later.
Um, Stallone had an interview this week where he talked about his next three films,
Two of which would be, he will be in creed.
Of course, he's been off, right?
And he announced Rambo last blood.
Will it be?
With a title like that, it better be.
I mean, people that were a fan of that franchise said that that last one,
the John Rambo was pretty good.
I didn't, you haven't seen it.
Did you see the last rocket?
Did you see Balboa?
Yes.
Okay.
Did you see who's playing Apollo's grandson that he's training?
Yeah.
The kid from Fruitvale Station.
Michael B. George.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I, people won't enjoy it.
I'm sure.
I'll see it.
Yeah.
I'm not going to be greedy.
Yeah, I just, Rambo was really good.
Rambo was really good.
I was surprised.
And apparently, apparently, set construction has begun on Pirates Five.
So this thing is a go.
What is this?
Pirates looks at Forty.
To me about it.
Oh.
And you know, Don's a big, to me, Buffet fan, so.
I mean, you, you fell off on this thing pretty quickly, too.
But no, but at least I've seen all four films.
And they brought it back around with the fourth one.
They did, they did.
I enjoyed, again.
But I was never fully all in on this franchise.
Well, two and three.
Two started to drop off three fell off completely.
I was almost ready to just bail.
It took a lot of convincing to get me to see four.
Because three was such a let down for me.
And I was so happy whenever we were done with Orlando Bloom and Kira Knightley's characters.
Because they were, to me, the most boring parts of that series.
It, more Jack Sparrow.
This is the one thing that cannot suffer from an over exposure of Johnny Deb.
This is the character he was born to play.
I mean, Keith Richards.
He got every, every movie that you've seen since then has just been him playing a variation of Jack Sparrow.
It really is.
You can't see anything else but Jack Sparrow.
So he's kind of pigeonholed himself.
It's fair point.
But if you're going to keep making money, go back to the one that brought you.
Fair enough.
And then a nice little marketing play this past week from Marvel.
They released an anti-sized teaser for Ant-Man, where if you look it up on YouTube,
the pictures about a half an inch talking about the size of your thumbnail.
And it goes that fast.
It's 18 seconds.
That's jerky.
Well, then the next day they released the people-sized version of the teaser to the teaser.
That's so stupid.
Which, and it's really is a true teaser.
It tells you nothing.
But the full teaser will be available as Agent Carter debuts this Tuesday on ABC.
And you're gonna show the time, I'm sorry.
Oh, the DVR set.
The DVR is set.
I love that character.
And I'm a fan of her too.
Oh, but they're going to show the Ant-Man teaser during the show this week.
So I'll probably- I probably won't be able to see it till Wednesday because we've got a screen to there.
Are you going?
I have no idea.
I guess I'm not talking about it off there.
I haven't read RSVP yet, but I'll have to look up.
Let me give it a fair.
But I'm interested to see where we're going with this thing.
I really, really am.
Especially since it's not going to come out until after all Tron, which I still don't understand.
Because you had to change the whole storyline of all Tron because of it.
But I can't not trust Marvel right now.
It comes to films.
They do too much correctly.
Movie new releases in places you go see movie new releases this week.
I have a very special set of scooters.
Take in three.
The final chapter.
We pray.
This looks terrible.
Yes, it does.
Well, I had nothing good about the second one.
I liked the second one.
I didn't love because the first one was so good.
Yeah.
Again, but it was just like you talked about.
There's no way the second one was going to be as good as the first one because the first one was so good.
And when you weren't expecting anything from the first one because it's a new franchise and it just seemed very formulaic.
I remember I saw it when it came out of DVD and Lonnie let me borrow his copy.
I was going to a business trip.
I mean, he's like, dude, just just watch it.
Whatever.
And I was in the hotel and I was like, you know what?
There's nothing on TV.
This thing's 90 minutes long.
Let me pop this thing in.
And I was like, holy crap.
It's good.
The second one was passable.
But this one looks terrible.
And the fact that they pretty much, it's, it's, it's,
spoiler-rific in the trailer.
Yeah, which I thought was kind of weird.
Why would you give that away?
It was like, I know pretty much what I need to know now.
Thanks, guys.
I was kind of like, I don't.
And I do, and I like everybody involved.
Also this week, a movie called Pre Destination with Ethan Hawke,
Noah Taylor.
I'm trying to go through and see if there's any other names in this.
I recognize I don't off the bat.
The life of a time traveling temporal agent on his final assignment.
He must pursue the one criminal that has alluded him throughout time.
This is based on a short story by Robert Heinlein.
Heinlein, I'm sorry.
And friend of the show, Jim Bragel has read the short story and said,
Don't expect to feel good movie in the year.
We've been getting a lot of that.
Yeah.
So also a movie called Let's Kill Words Wife.
I've seen the trailer for this and I got a big bag of nothing.
I just, it's, it's one of those movies.
And it's got like a lot of, it's got a lot of people in it that you know.
Of course, they're not listing any of them.
Donald Faisons in this.
Scott Foley's in this great grunberg, who you know, I'm a fan of.
Basically, nobody's going to sell tickets or put butts and seats,
but they're good actors on their own.
Words wife is a witch with a capital B.
Everyone knows it including Ward.
After numerous conversations and ruminations on the subject,
amongst the Ward's colorful group of friends,
a fortuitous accident leads to a whole new world of problems and possibilities.
I think I saw this the first time when it was called very bad things.
I never saw it very bad.
That's a good movie.
It's, it's one of those movies that you spend the whole movie going,
why am I laughing at this?
I should not be laughing at this.
I should be in hell for laughing at this.
But again, it's January.
So it's movie studio dumping ground,
which is why I worry about that black hat that's coming out.
I'm not this coming Friday, but next.
Because on one hand, it looks kind of good,
but the other hand, you're like, wait a minute, it's still January.
So we'll see.
DVD and blue ray, new releases and places that you get DVDs and blue rays this week.
A movie that made all of our top 10 lists for 2014.
Wait for the music to start?
There we go.
Boyhood.
Amen.
A movie that literally took 12 years to make.
Richard Linklatter.
Just go check it out.
I mean, what else do you say?
It's, it's, you're literally watching a kid grow up.
It's why it took him so long to film the movie,
which sounds like nothing that would interest you until you send it.
And be prepared.
It's three hours.
Yes, but it's very, very good.
A movie from Chad's top 10 list.
Get on up.
Chad with Boseman.
And he does not have any, any bias to that.
Playing James Brown.
Horns with the Daniel Radcliffe.
Which I've heard is a movie that's odd but funny.
Just strange to me that.
Daniel Radcliffe can't play a character that doesn't have something wrong with his forehead.
Yeah, fair point.
The guest, which is one of these guy shows up.
And he's not who he says he is kind of things.
A movie from Don's 10 worst of this year, left behind.
With why am I in this movie?
Nicholas Cage.
The criterion collection release is an old film called The Sword of Doom.
This week.
Sounds like a spillwork film.
The sword of Doom.
I really should get more of those over at work.
I'm just saying.
Also a movie called Two Night Stand.
With Miles Teller and Analy Tipton, a snowstorm forces two people who made an online
action to unwillingly extend their one nightstand as the Blizzard goes through the night.
It looks interesting.
I don't know that I'd spend money on it, but I'd check it out if it was on K-Board.
And W-W-E releases the greatest superstars of WrestleMania.
Two soon.
Should this be a figure release?
You would think about the rumble maybe.
Yeah.
But that's coming out this Tuesday.
Tent corner or anything for it, sir.
Well, you're analysis.
My Xbox One?
Yes.
It has made me incredibly lazy.
I've been waiting to have this conversation because my wife was saying today,
because I showed her I did the Xbox Watch Fox.
We changed from the CVS game to the Fox game.
She goes, well, does it work on CMT?
I don't know.
Xbox Watch CMT.
And it went there.
She was like, no, man.
Because I know it takes stuff.
It takes quite a bit to dazzle the lovely and talented Mrs. Urban.
You have to be careful of any hand gestures you make in the list too.
Yeah.
I did find there's been a couple of glitches.
Like, it just kind of froze on me yesterday.
And I had to unplug it and plug it back in.
And if I put it with a stick to a few times, yeah.
The issue we're having where the audio, like the audio went out,
when I was watching a standard programming show yesterday.
So I'd unplug it and plug it back in.
We still need to get to the bottom of that.
But overall, I really am enjoying what I'm doing.
I've got one more episode and I'm caught up on all of them on the night war.
Very good series so far.
I wish the sting undertaker episode would have gone a little deeper,
but it was kind of neat to watch.
I love the episode with a click.
Came a lot later than it should have.
How does there any difference in presentation from the,
from the Roku as opposed to the, I,
I don't know what this is just because I want to see it this way,
but to me, it seems like the video quality is better than the Roku.
Even though they both do 1080p,
I will tell you,
they're both using HDMI.
I put a standard DVD and I put one of my casting crowns DVDs in.
Uh-huh.
And the up conversion looks gorgeous.
Really?
Yes.
It really looks great.
I mean, it looked like I was watching a blue eye.
Good, good.
Because sometimes when you do the up converted,
it gets a little fuzzy on you.
It looks like you're watching a YouTube video.
Yeah, almost looked gorgeous.
It really, really did.
It really does my heart good when they could figure that out.
And the five one sounded amazing.
It's weird what it decides the decode and what it doesn't.
Like that, and Richard's documentary was in two one.
Because the subwoofer was working.
But I read your documentary.
Yeah.
What?
But still, you'd still think it would, you know,
with the soundtrack.
I don't know, it's score.
But it does work the seven one works,
but it's weird because it's like it brings down the audio
on what would normally be my rear speakers.
Uh-huh.
And it brings up the audio on the rear surrounds.
That's always kind of unstable.
It's a little weird.
But it works.
You know, the seven one does sound great.
Like sometimes after a moment,
if there's speakers behind me.
But so far, I've been impressed.
But you really haven't delved into the gameplay.
But there's not a lot of games for it.
Like you got one, you just won't play it.
Did something I won't play it?
I don't want to play it, but I already sell.
Like Lego games to me.
It seems like it's better when you play them with other people.
Wow.
Well, it can be if you have somebody that is a generous partner.
And I'm talking to one.
I'm just saying, like, when I'm trying to play it with my kid,
she likes to run off and go rogue.
Like she'll, you think?
Yeah, I played the Lego Batman 3 demo with her.
And I was like, I've got just had to let her play it.
Yeah.
Because she wants to just go completely off off the reservation.
And I'm like, you really need to reel it in.
Because I can't keep up with where you're going.
The way the screen splits.
Yeah, I don't.
That's impossible to do that.
Yeah.
It's a little headachey sometimes.
Yeah.
And like sometimes when you're trying to make precision
pinpoint jumps and landings,
you may as well have the other person drop out.
Because the scrolling is going to throw you off completely.
But get a little bit deeper into playing the thing.
And we'll come back and revisit your analysis again.
Yeah.
But I, so far, I have a no real problem with it.
You need to play something on the connect.
I do like how I can work it with,
with like a media server.
Mm-hmm.
Or I can, because, oh, I didn't tell you,
we found out the same deal works on the blue right player in the bedroom.
So it doesn't need anything plugged into it.
It just constrained from in here.
Yep.
That's fantastic.
We did, we did figure that out the other day.
Because I was like, you know what?
I wonder.
And so I went in there and turned on the blue right player
and went to the media player and did the same exact thing.
I didn't expect one.
Uh-huh.
Found.
Because that was that other thing.
We had the play to option.
Right.
That was what the other thing was.
Oh, gosh.
We were looking right at it.
I was, I was looking.
For some reason I thought it was a receiver.
No, it was the blue right player in the bedroom.
That's bad.
So that way we're good there.
I do like that capability of you working with a media server.
That's, that's awesome.
Which I'm very excited about the prospects there in.
Mm-hmm.
Because one of the things that I'm one of my long-term projects
is I want to build a media server where I can take all of the movies I have in the living room
Uh-huh.
And start ripping them all to a hard drive.
So that way we've got everything set up.
Got it.
And I found a software that one of my boss was showing that.
We'll do that.
Mm-hmm.
And I just want to make sure because he only does it was just the movies themselves.
Right.
I want everything.
I want my movies.
I want my audio track.
I want my commentary track.
I want my special features.
The special features.
We're going to do the tough.
In other cases when you get a whole of digital media files.
Sometimes whenever they stack the audio tracks,
Mm-hmm.
When they show up in their playability,
it'll go to the last option and make that the default option.
So like you could be getting, you'll watch a film and it'll be all of a sudden it'll start
be it'll be playing in Portuguese audio because that was like option five.
Well, I always say that.
I always say that.
I always in the menu set up the set up the audio.
Well, but I'm just saying when it comes to ripping it.
Oh, I don't know what it's going to do.
So you may have to really, really watch your settings closely when you start tinkering
with the mess with them a little bit and see what happens.
But I'm enjoying it.
I truly, truly am.
Oh, yeah.
And you've just scratched the surface.
You've only had it for just over a week now.
But it's I'm enjoying it.
I'm excited about the possibilities.
I think I made the right choice for me.
I do too.
So, you know, no offense to people who want to PS4.
God bless you.
That just wasn't the option that I found to be the best for me.
I really do think that this is best suited for what you were wanting to use it for, primarily.
The interactivity of the thing.
Yeah.
Within my current system, the fact that it works as an amp for some reason.
It's like it works as a preamp.
Mm-hmm.
That I'm not using nearly the volume capacity that I was using before to get the same amount of sound
in my room.
Uh-huh.
It's crazy.
Well, and at the end of the day, the PS4 is a gamers machine.
Right.
Whereas the Xbox One is more of a.
All of them all encompassing entertainment hub.
Correct.
And I think that was probably the best choice you could have made.
All right.
Let's get to the list.
All right.
Kind of a shorter than normal show tonight.
But there's nothing wrong with that.
I was running in a new year and trying to get things back to abnormal.
The PS4 thing's back to Chad tonight was we end every show with a list.
Go!
Well, we've been talking about this year in film.
Upcoming year in film.
For quite a while now.
Big year.
Huge year.
So I just kind of cobbled together a list of 10 of the films I'm really looking forward to.
Yeah.
Do I know what number one is?
Well, it's not going to be a big shock to anybody.
But I've got a couple of honorable mentions.
I couldn't quite fit into the top 10.
Number 10.
I'm going to honorable mentions.
Mad Max Fury Road.
I'm curious as to where they go with this.
Well, apparently it's a continuation.
It's not a reboot.
Yeah.
We're going to tell you last week.
I saw the newest trailer.
Okay.
It looks interesting.
Crimson Peak.
Guillermo del Toro's next film.
Just because it's Guillermo del Toro's next film.
It's a thriller horror hybrid.
Kind of like Pan's Labrant looking thing.
Right.
I'm intrigued by tomorrow land.
If for no other reason.
Well, I want to see tomorrow.
It looks cool.
It's based on a Disney property and Brad Bird's directing.
Oh, and that was another thing that when I was watching Billy Crystal seven hundred
Sundays.
I did not know that his dad was one of the pioneers of integrating black and white jazz musicians
together.
Really?
And one of the people his parents knew was Rosemary Clooney.
So there's Rosemary Clooney over in the corner going.
My nephew is the sexiest infant in the world.
And the last one.
Even though I didn't give a credit about the first two attempts at this.
With the reboot, it looks a little bit more promising.
It's fantastic for him.
I haven't seen the trailer, but I'm looking forward to what they can do with it.
Because they seem like they're trying to make good on taking off the fanboy community
with what they did with those other films.
And some would say they're doing the same thing now.
Yeah, possibly.
But it remains to be seen.
Hopefully they can write this shit.
But anyway, number 10.
Minions.
Yes.
I mean, I almost feel bad putting it.
I just kind of started throwing names on the list.
There's no real order except for maybe the top three.
Bottom.
And ironic.
It's at the bottom of the list.
We have our own reasons for being fools for these characters.
More than one.
Yeah.
There I love the minions.
I don't like what they've done with the minion rush game on my iPad.
It makes me really mad.
But I loved both of these movies.
More than I really thought I would.
Yeah.
And they had a lot to do with it.
Just the minions have a lot to do.
Absolutely.
Number nine.
Pixar's next film.
Inside out.
I need to see more.
The trailer on the side story.
The first time when it was a television show called Herman's Head on Fox.
Which I loved.
I love that show.
I need to see more of a trailer to see where this is going.
Well, which one have you?
You just seen the first one or you've seen the second one as well.
I've only seen one.
Yeah.
They put a second trailer out where they're having a conversation at the dinner table.
Okay.
The only one of these was like all the clips of all the Pixar films.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Then there's another clip up.
I'll show it to you.
Number eight.
That peanuts film looks so.
It really does.
And I'm very.
I was skeptical going into the first trailer.
And I saw it.
I was in.
You have my engine.
And then I saw the second trailer.
And I was like, okay.
Yeah.
Good here.
And they released it right around the holidays.
And they're showing Snoopy decorating his dog house.
I'm like, okay.
You got me.
Look.
I didn't think of you got me.
The.
The kids they've got doing the voices of the.
Of the.
Of the crew are.
And they're all kids.
And they're all.
I want to say the girl.
This point.
They've met Patty because they showed them all like the like right before the.
The Thanksgiving day parade on the today show.
Well, and the director tweeted a picture with the entire cast on a staircase.
But apparently, Patty looks like she's probably in her late teens.
Oh, really.
Yeah.
Mid to late teens.
He looked like an older girl.
She didn't look like seven year old.
Fair enough.
Something I never thought I would say.
But there is an Adam Sandler film in my top 10 anticipated films of the year.
Pixels.
Well, because it's not an Adam Sandler film.
It's an Adam Sandler film.
He's in it.
But I thought Adam Sandler film.
But you you take two things that I geek out over.
80s video game characters.
And Peter Dinklage.
And I'm pretty Peter Dinklage with a mallet.
No less.
And I'm sold.
I've seen the short that this is based on.
Have you ever seen it?
No.
There's a YouTube short called Pixels where they got the whole idea from.
It's about.
Oh, gosh.
Maybe three minutes long.
It might be long.
I could be way off.
But it just shows the pixelization of the planet as it's being invaded by.
80s icon iconic video game characters like buildings get tetrisized and stuff like that.
You'd love it.
And so on that premise alone, you've got me.
But it just it has a coolness to it.
It has a cool factor to it that Dinklage I think is going to bring to it.
That is going to kind of put it over the edge of your average Adam Sandler film.
Where it's normally just direct.
Number six.
Kingsman the secret service comes out next month.
Looks sick.
Yes.
The latest trailer looks awesome.
This thing looks like it's what wanted should have been.
I think it's what a lot of films about.
Origins of spies should have been.
Well, did you ever read the graphic novel for wanted?
No, but I've heard it's like completely.
It is.
It's nothing about that comic resembled that film that came out of it.
Nothing.
Even the basic plot was just barely a resemblance to it.
Characters not even close to what you pictured.
Okay.
So this looks like a butt kicker of it.
And to be releasing the first quarter, it kind of surprises me.
That's why whenever you're saying this about black hat, I'm like,
This thing looks pretty darn good.
But January is different than February.
I mean, February is still normally a dumping grab, but not as bad as January.
That's your natural.
I think to be seen.
I really hope it breaks the cycle.
I do too.
Number five, even though I haven't seen part one yet,
we are wrapping up this Hunger Games ride.
Oh, yeah.
I'm very much looking for it.
Now, Charlotte said don't put so much stock in it because she did not like the way it ended.
She did not like the way the book ended.
Yeah, at all.
But you got to, I mean, you got to see it through.
Yeah, I know.
We're going to see it through.
No, no, no, no.
And I'm just saying just to see how much money this thing makes over the last three.
So number four.
Number four.
Number three.
Number four.
I really don't know if I got the order right.
I just put them up there because these are easily my top four most anticipated of the year.
Spectre.
Indeed.
November.
Good.
Lord.
The weight between Skyfall and this film has been agonizing.
Well, Skyfall was what?
2012?
Hmm.
Wow.
Exactly.
It doesn't seem like it's been that long.
But it's been that long.
Uh-huh.
We got, uh, we had the, we had the, we had the, we had the director returning from Skyfall in this indeed.
And that was rock solid.
I mean, one of the best of the entire franchise.
Um, so it's in good hands.
Number three, as you've already said, you're not really on board with it.
But I'm itching with anticipation for Jurassic World.
I, I, I, I wanted to be good for you.
I really, really do.
I just, I got nothing.
Well, maybe after the Super Bowl spot, your opinion will change.
Let's see.
Number two is, the next two are not going to be any surprises to anybody that listens to the show with any sort of regularity.
Age of freaking Ultron.
Oh, yeah.
Is it bad that I want another trailer?
No, it's not bad at all.
A supposedly we're going to be, I would, I would wager that we're probably going to get another one of those during the Super Bowl as well.
Right.
And this pretty much is going to put the ribbon on phase two, correct?
Yes.
Yes.
That is the end of phase two.
Yes.
And then we just have to wait on the on the blue ray artwork.
It's it's see if it could out do the last one.
I just want to see what the, but the box that's going to look like.
That's what I'm talking about.
I think it's going to be Ultron's head.
Because that's really the only thing.
There's nothing unifying all the films.
Unless no, that'll be phase four.
The gauntlet.
Yeah.
Number one.
You might as well just start playing the music because you know what it is.
Give me one second.
Give me one second.
Give me one second here.
To the surprise of nobody.
Uh, yeah.
Yeah.
The force awakens.
Which apparently we're going to get another trailer for this in May.
Attach to the Avengers.
Oh, I'm doing them.
And by the way, I'm doing the marathon again.
I'm going to do the phase two marathon.
If, if AMC offers it on there.
But it was weird.
Your website still out offering the, they're still advertising the Hobbit trilogy.
To have a month ago.
But yeah, if AMC or anybody does the marathon this, this time around.
Uh, Jim Bragel and I have already said we're doing it.
I'll be in with you.
But I'm going to take both days off.
Both days.
Both a day up in the day out.
Okay.
Well, because back then, I was working the late ship.
So I was getting done in three in the morning.
I could sleep till noon to be okay.
Right.
Well, now I worked the early shift.
So I'm going to take that day off.
And the next day.
That dog won't.
No.
I'm sure that my boss will insist today.
I do.
Um, I can't think of the last time.
I'm going to have to go back to the original trilogy to find it.
I was just excited about starting from start.
Well, because these have.
I never dreamed in a hundred years.
I would have a Star Wars conversation that would contain the words.
I am so glad Lucas has no involvement.
I'm just.
I need to see more.
I'm afraid to see too much.
I don't want to see.
I'm going to stay spoiler free as much as I can.
Well, if you're spoiler free, you're not watching any trailer.
Now, I'm as much as I can.
Like I said, I'm not going to go out of my way.
Because I think that that's why I enjoyed as episode three as much as I did.
Because episode two, I basically knew the whole thing.
Hmm.
I was spoiler horrific for episode two.
Well, if like an episode three, I avoided as many spoilers as I could.
And I really enjoyed episode three.
If people post links on Facebook of huge spoiler, I'm avoiding those.
That's what I'm saying.
I know people that are putting up posts of the.
Um, conceptual art.
I've been avoiding those for the most part.
Um, characters names.
What do I care?
What they're called.
Right.
I will say the video that JJ put up of the Falcon.
I looked at that because it's a Falcon.
We're in a Falcon.
Well, like, you know, stuff like if it's something that the filmmaker wants out there.
I'm good with that.
Right.
But if it's something that spies on set or gathering, I don't want to see it.
Because it was never intended for me to see.
Exactly.
Um, but.
The seven year old in me is going to be screaming.
I'm this December.
I'll be going out of my mind.
I mean, I want.
Okay.
Over under.
Maybe an over under of when the tickets go on sale.
The over under is Halloween.
And I'm still taking the under.
I think those tickets go on sale October one.
I'll take the under on that because I think that and they'll sell out through
years.
Day.
Would it surprise you if they started selling tickets whenever the Avengers premieres?
A lot of them go that ball.
It wouldn't shock me seven months.
Why not?
For Star Wars.
For anything else.
That's a year crazy.
For Star Wars.
I wouldn't doubt it for a second.
For this Star Wars film.
I still think October first is a good day.
This is a sequel.
We have.
With that star church or holiday season.
Really.
Brad.
We consider that this is a sequel.
We have waited 32 years.
Because I am not.
I'm sorry.
You can't.
It's a sequel.
Not a pretty cool.
Somebody put up the.
Somebody put up the graphic.
I think it was Devon 350 more days.
I don't know.
I'm Friday 350 days.
No.
I don't think any sequel has ever garnered this much anticip.
There's no way.
There's no way.
Any sequel has garnered this much anticipation.
JJ.
We're putting a lot of faith in you, sir.
I'm not worried about right now.
JJ's got to pass with me right now.
Well, I went back and watched track and track in a darkness again.
Just so I can gear myself up for what we might be seeing.
And those films still into darkness didn't really.
Wow.
Me when I saw it the first time.
Like the first one did.
But going back and seeing it again.
You know, taking the anticipation goggles off.
It's better than I remembered it.
I'm on a repeat of you.
Really.
I love the first one.
But it holds up.
But if this is as good as we're hoping it's going to be.
He will have a lifetime path.
I don't care if he makes each turn nine.
He will.
I'll be like, no, I'm going to see it.
I don't care.
His next announced project is Water World 2 with Kevin.
I'm in.
Don't care.
I'm in.
Got it.
I'll let you guess why not.
Just don't do a street footer field.
JJ.
I go.
I'm telling you.
If this movie is as good as I'm hoping.
I don't care what.
I mean, I resent that.
I don't do a street footer field.
I don't care if he does a strawberry shortcake.
I'm in.
What?
It's been work of a Transformers and GI Joe.
Why not?
Give up.
Oh God.
Oh God.
Give him masters of the universe.
Give JJ.
Amen.
That would probably be the biggest challenge of his career.
I mean, you take elements of Lord of the Rings and elements of Star Wars and smash
their into a master's at the universe film.
Correctly.
Good night.
Alrighty.
Let's do the plug.
Or they can always be stretch orange strong film.
Or plastic.
