missed it last week and you missed what we talked about on Saturday, it is bold time,
we always have to say something about that line, it is time for sports talk, but we're
gonna be very college football intensive, because it is officially the end of the regular
season in college football, we are in that weird, gray area for the next 11 days, until
the bull season officially begins, so we're gonna start, we normally would start with
NFL football, but tonight we're gonna start with college football, and we're kind of pushing
everything else to, if we have time, because we really want to focus on these bull games,
that the first thing came down about what, two hours ago, yes, and kind of shocked, kind
of not, a bull eligible team is without its coach, yes, Dave Wonstad fired this afternoon
University of Pittsburgh, that name should mean something to you here locally in the Dallas
Fort Worth area, that would mean where I'm from, yes, the former defensive coordinator
of the Dallas Cowboys, former head coach of Miami Dolphins and Chicago Bears, that was
a weird buying to me, for some reason, pits always had a higher, they won a national
title with Dorf Set back in the 70's, so they have kind of a high sense of self, and
I thought him winning seven or eight games for them every year was good, but I guess
really my question here is, why fire your coach, exactly, two days after your final game
is you're getting ready for both season, that's strange, and what's bad is pretty much,
and I know you have till February 2nd to verbally commit or do what's gonna do with college,
but yeah, this is not good timing, you know, that's all the former AD, the AD there used
to be at Nebraska, Sean Peterson, he was the one that really screwed up Nebraska, and
he got fired, and Osborne came in, you know, I don't know, that's a weird job, because
like we started, they've got to kind of, they think themselves higher, I don't know,
really what they've had some great, you know, McCoy came to their place from Philadelphia,
they've had some good players, but the likes of Tony Dorf Set and Dan Merino, they're
not gonna be at the University of Pittsburgh anymore, no, it's just not that, it's not
that way, and really, I would say that overall, he did a decent job, I mean the pit fan,
if you're out there, both of you, yes, motor cities, and liberties, and car cares, and
Papa John, bowls, and all this, that's about par for the course for you, and then you
could also go into the, when the, when the Big East and playing the Fiesta Bowl, like
Yukon is doing this year, but I think them going to those bowls and then winning the Big East
once in five years, I thought that would at least held onto his job longer than what
it has, but something happened, good luck getting somebody to take it, that's the thing,
is that's gonna be a tough job to feel, it's just like Vanderbilt, they're without a
coach right now, that's a weird thing, because Vanderbilt is a death trap, you get them a resume,
because I think you've got a shot, I mean, there's a lot of people who have a shot at that
job, but who wants to take it, and I've got another guy here that I've got to go with here
in a second, well, and you know, the next thing on our agenda, we're going to talk about
your beloved Sooners, as I'm going to read, is the wins of change, if you come call it,
the WWLS, the Sports Channel, Oklahoma City last evening, I did put this on our Facebook
page, please, please join that Facebook page, we update stuff daily on there as well,
um, this is, Kevin Wilson, if you haven't heard, is and has been named, that was Brian
Wilson, I'm sorry, and he played for the Giants, that's right, yeah, Kevin Wilson is the
new head coach at the University of Indiana, that's football, right, that's football at a basketball
school, I was going to say, it never works, very strange, I think he's ready for a head coaching
job, I just don't, I think this was a bad one, I guess, allowing me to play devil's advocate
here, um, isn't anything really a step up to get you to the next level though? It is, but
every guy that's left, the left OU or the Stoops, they don't make it as head coach, you
know, Chuck Long left, it's San Diego State last two years, he's gone, he's now at Kansas,
as an offense, as a quarterback, offensive coordinator, Mangino, Leach, is the only two,
I can think of their ever successful, of course, went to Kansas and Texas Tech, and then you had,
this, Kevin Wilson, of course, Mike Stoops going to Arizona, I think that's getting shaky,
I would be shocked if they lost his bowl game, Mike Stoops is not fired at Arizona.
Well, you said that last week, that's two, I mean, that's not, yeah, that's, I don't think
that's going to shock anybody. Yes, and if you look at these, except Mike Stoops, if you look
at the Stoops coaching tree, to me, the only one that's done what he's going to do, and that's Kevin
Sumlin, down at the University of Houston, who at right now is your front runner for the University
of Miami job. Really, because I, a couple of my wife's cousins are Houston graduates, I believe
my father laws are Houston graduates as well. They enjoy, they compliment someone,
because there's a lot of people at the University real high on Kevin Sumlin and Houston.
Oh, congratulations to him if that's, if that happened. Yeah, but, um, yeah, I know, this doesn't
make sense. He took a pay cut, and it's just a bad football job. But I mean, if we win six games
a year and beat Purdue every year, that might keep your job. They're always going to be the eighth
best team in the Big Ten. And you've also got what might be some other wins a change, which I
don't personally believe that are coming. Yeah, they're at that rumors out there, but I don't
believe that he's, he's already, he won't even comment on anything. He says it's so ridiculous.
For those of you that don't know what we're talking about, they'll come up in NFL talk. We'll
talk about that here in just a little while. Well, I wouldn't say a little bit. Yeah. Also,
changes about 200 miles southwest of where we currently are at the University of Texas.
Yeah, but real quick back on Kevin Wilson. Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know. I think this could be a good
deal. Hey, if you go to Indiana and you win eight games a year and your
then it moves on to bigger and better things. You don't mean well, just keep them in the headlines
until November when basketball fires up. Yeah, and hats off to him. Um, I'm a guy. I don't
about you. I'll ask you about this. If I would, I don't mind. He's been at OU since 02.
Only he's only been in the offensive coordinator for four years. Sometimes I like that
to freshen up. Ever for as a as an offensive. Yeah, you change it up. Change the game plan.
So I'm not at all concerned about this. I think it's a move. There were times this year, especially
Missouri game, Texas A&M as as a lot of people are going. What the what?
I mean, it's it's a very he was a very sometimes he he was he was real. He was real trigger shot
on running the offense. So I enjoyed um, what he did there, but I'm like you and Florida,
I think Florida is going to do the same thing. There are some rumors coming around down there
that there's changes coming as well. But yeah, Texas had a big old retirement party
Monday morning down in Austin. Did they really? Those guys, you know what? And I'll give
Mac Brown. It's people that listen here. No, no me. Don't be pretty well. Yes, sir. Um, I'll
give Mac Brown a bone. I think some guys have been loyal to you since your North Carolina days.
You don't fire those guys. You give them an out. You let them retire. So what she did. So I agree
with that. I totally agree with that. But man, that's knee jerk for those of you that don't know.
Yeah, Greg Davis. The deep offensive. Offensive at Texas who supposedly
was let go. They're saying right after the Texas A&M game over Thanksgiving weekend,
the university didn't say nothing about it till Monday. Now they're saying he retired. He resigned.
He resigned. Um, Greg Davis has always been one of our Greg Davis comms been up since 2000.
I mean, this has been a guy. The Texas fans had a love hate relationship with Greg Davis.
If Greg Davis didn't have that one unbelievable player, I events young Colt McCoy, he really just,
he, I think you're seeing that now. Yes, he really was a guy that he was kind of grabbing
its straws at trying to figure out, trying to figure out what to do with them. And
I had Greg Davis will never work again, but he has a national title ring from Texas. You don't
think he's got a job coming somewhere else? I don't know if even if he has to take a step backwards.
He, I guess he could, but man, him and Matt came and Matt were almost married for 13 years.
I'm saying that positively, not negatively. He had been in North Carolina. He kind of followed
Matt. And I'm sure that was a, that was a weird thing for for Matt Brown to have to go in there and
go, Hey, look man, they're gonna fire you. I'm gonna let you resign, but they're gonna fire you
regardless. But I give him a, I give him a little out of boy, a little pat on the back for
not embarrassing humiliating a guy, which sometimes this coaching thing, oh, that'll have to call a
drink. That'll happen to you. Um, and also you had your, um, offensive, offensive line coach.
Also, now he retired. He's the one saying that's retired. That's another guy that they're saying,
well, it was kind of a retire or you're gone too. His name escapes me. Somebody knows it.
Please send it over. And Texas is, I think the pressure is on it. I also think that Mac Brown,
there's also a rumor coming out of Austin that he's getting ready to mail it in.
Isn't he under contract? He's under contract, but there's some stuff in that contract that he
could still be a representative of the University of Texas, and not necessarily. So finally,
gets to be the role that he should have been in from the get go, which is as a, as a recruiter.
Kind of the same deal switcher has at the University of Oklahoma.
So don't know, uh, offensive line coach, Mac McWhorter was his name and also special team's
coordinator, Mike Tollison, which that was one thing with Texas that shot them in the foot all
year was special teams were bad. Yeah. So that happens at these big schools, but man,
I've never seen a team that went, I mean, went down one year. And boy, you talk about knee jerk
reactions. They went, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if that hurts your
helps yet. We'll know about 365 days. I don't know. I think, uh, I think you have that in the
rumor is major apple light. You know what? On board with that. He's on board with that, but there
are a lot of Texas fans. They'll struggle next year off physically. You can't expect a lot out of
him as a first year offensive coordinator. I thought I thought made me I think that was great
as a player. I think he's got a great line for the game. I think that will be a huge,
great hire for them. If I think that game, I think that job is way over his head as he
that juncture. Oh, we will, of course, monitoring all these situations for years and weeks go on.
As we were going off the air on Saturday, we had a couple of conference title games that maybe
didn't go the way we thought we were going to go. We only got one wrong. Well, we got one. We got
one wrong, but we got one kind of sort of wrong too, because we thought that that, I mean,
I'm going to let you run it down. I'm going to start here with we did SMU as we all know SMU
walls to UCF on Saturday, 17 to seven. My hat's still off to the ponies.
June Jones. And let me just say this for those of you that are not college football historians.
This thing on Saturday night is a double edged sword. Yes. When I'm talking about the 30 for 30 that's
going to air right after the Heisman trophy presentation. Good timing, SPN. Yeah, called
pony excesses. It is about what SMU did in the mid 80s. Watch it. I want you to watch it because
there hasn't been one. There's only been one of these that I haven't really been on board with.
ESPN's done a great job with this 30 for 30, but by the same token, take it with a grain of salt,
because that SMU is not this SMU. Yeah, they've actually done a little face change, but I actually
heard an interview with June Jones locally. He's invited Dickerson and Craig James, a lot of
them guys back to get back involved with the program. Why not? So I mean, it's history. He's still got
his hands on it, so that it is. Yeah, but pads off the ponies. They did lose the UCF 17 to seven,
but they got there. They got there. We'll talk about their respective bull games here in a few
minutes. But let's go down. Let's start. Oregon Oregon State. A game that a final score is a
little bit further apart. That's what I'm going to say. Don't let that score fool you. As they do
win the Civil War, the 118th edition of the Civil Wars, they beat Oregon State 37 to 20.
We got off when I got from where we were at remote in the car. It was 30. It was 18 to nothing
the first quarter. At one point, it was 37 to seven. And this, this game is what's going to
concern me, um, January the 10th. Yes. Um, they, they didn't put Oregon State away in state rival.
Uh, I don't know, man. I just, they should have owned them. Yes. Completely. Yes. I, um,
Oregon's a team. I've seen Oregon do this before. Get this point and lose. I think we all have
if you keep up with college football. You've seen Oregon kind of do some things. This is their
first rodeo getting this close to the national title game, but it happened. And they won. Um,
in South Florida, Saturday night, you had Connecticut defeating South Florida for not really a championship
game, but for the biggest championship 19 to 16. That's why we almost pulled that thing out. I'm
sure that I was keeping a very watchful eye on that game. As Yukon pulls about 19, 16 was a,
with a field goal was what a minute, minute left, where you had a South Florida couldn't keep
from turning over the football. Yeah. They recovered a fumble. Then it turned around very next play
through a pit got ran back. Um, it was a weird game, but you caught, you know, Yukon has only
been D1 for 10 years. So hats off to them. They punch a ticket to a big bowl, which we'll talk about
later. And then we go down to Charlotte up to Charlotte. Yeah. As Florida state, what happens,
y'all? That's the one we got. Why is it whenever I put faith in a team that I don't normally like?
They always like to show. Is this a personal thing? Are they, is this a personal vendetta that
these teams have against me? Because if it is, I understand, but just let me know. Another game
that's final score is a little bit, little bit, uh, you know, for Virginia Tech, 44 over 33,
that now makes Frank Beamer, two and eight against the Seminals. And it was the Tyrod Taylor show.
As he goes, 263 for three TDs, he made Florida state's defense look foolish. Was it a Florida state,
like three of 18 or 30? That was a blowout. I looked over there one time. And it was
34 to 10. And I had friends I was watching a bunch on Facebook. I had friends that are
Florida state fans going, what's going on? Florida state got run, that surprised me. And
Florida state congratulations on a great season, Jimbo Fisher. They absolutely exceeded expectations.
They beat Florida and Miami. Yes. So I got last time that's happened the same year. And then
let's skip one. We go to Arlington, Texas. That's how I was at Dallas. As the final big 12 championship
game we put. It's out, rode out in the sunset. It's Oklahoma comes from 17, nothing down.
It's an edge out in Nebraska. We talked about this on Saturday watching a big 12 game with you.
What was that like? Because I was, you and I were in separate facilities that night.
How was that in your house? Because I like it. Think of his, he's winging out right.
Well, when they got down 17 to nothing, I really, you had a big long run the first quarter.
You know, in Jones, 342 for a touchdown in a pick. That's a great night. So, but he did have a
pick that was remember back to three yard line. He was keeping them in it and then Oklahoma's
defense just in the Landry Jones took the game over. You know, score 17 points in four minutes
and 28 seconds. Half time. I mean, it was, that was a, that's the way that conference needed to
go out. That type of game, those type of teams. One pivotal play was on a fourth and three.
Bow was setting up for the fake punts. Stoops caught it. Burning a time out. Bow, let it go.
Was it Oregon that had that really nice fake punter where the punter jumped up like it was a
high snap? Yes, that was kind of cool. I thought it was a well coached game. It was a little chippy.
They were hitting. They were doing some things. This is an old robbery. Big 12 title game, ABC's,
best Saturday night numbers in five years. Congratulations. They were 73% over their closest
competitor. Wow. And also the game was up 48% from viewership of the last year. A little
be down next year. So there won't be one. But yeah, I thought that was a great way for that, that,
for that conference stuff, right off in the sun. I really enjoyed that game. Win or lose. I
want you to win. But it was really kept showing old Nebraska through the years. I saw some of that
side team and it was really, it was really a really cool thing. And the both coaches really respected
the robbery and that seven for Bob Stoops. He's a seven and one in big 12 title game. So then you had
a ball coach. You know, I can't even call my last name. He's coach because he's beloved to me.
I loved the fact that when he went to the Redskins, he never wore the colors given that it was
guarded and gold. I always thought that was kind of cool. What the H E double hockey sticks happened
in Atlanta on Saturday night? Well, what I saw was one thing that we talked about and we were
talking about this game on Tuesday before Garcia couldn't keep the ball away from the white
jerseys. And that killed Auburn. It killed South Carolina. But Auburn wins 5617. Auburn had a
couple of really nice touchdowns. Auburn had the deal before the half. I don't know why
South Carolina squib kicked it because you give Newton a chance to throw in the end zone. It's
tip touchdown. Garcia then has a pick run back for a touchdown. I mean, it was just,
is it going to be how many hours I kind of thought Auburn got a little carried away with it?
Is it going to be hard to watch him give a speech on Saturday night? Well, I'm going to say
something this to what happened after that game made my stomach turn. Please share with Auburn and
Cam Newton. Um, there was Cam Newton up there showing his rear end dancing and laughing and carrying on.
And because I see I miss this part. My son going, how come he's getting to play him and his family
cheated? Sometimes out of the mouths of babes. Yeah. And really that seeing him up there with
that MVP trophy, showing out, he was pretty much laughing in the face of every, every other
college athlete, every team and every NCAA official. He laughed in y'all's face on that podium.
Should we put, should we put something to the time capsule and bury it in my backyard?
So in 2015, when we come, when we bury it back up that says we told you this was going to come out.
Yeah. And because as much as I hope it's not true, it's hard for me to believe that he wasn't
complicit. It's just very, very different. Yeah. And we're not doing Cam Newton radio here.
You know, but I'm just telling you, my, my, I watched the enough of that game at the end.
Great Auburn one. Hey, it's been a while yet on a title since 57.
You know, yet on an actual title since 1957. Glad to see y'all got shit playing football out there
in the southeast conference. But I just, that made my stomach turn because he thinks he can get away
with it. And if I have a kid right now that's college, I'm going after ever dime of money I can
from a school because they're telling me right now it's legal to do that. It's now happened twice.
Yeah, it's happened twice. That's what we know of. That we know of. And of course, you don't have
to be the number one, number one wins, number two wins. You know what happens next? We will get to
that later in the evening. But I'm not rooting against Auburn. I'm not even dead against Auburn.
So if anybody, I just, that made me sick. Just accept your trophy. Go on. We don't draw any more attention.
We didn't need the, what do they call me? And the team went, can, what do they call me?
Did he really do that? We didn't need that on microphone. Yes, we did. Wow. We did. Like I said,
I was, I, I did not have audio anything on it at that point. We didn't need that. Oh, my,
yeah, we didn't need that. The dancing, the showing out. We didn't need that from him.
Joe Kim, no one does it. It's funny because he's not in the rehearsal. But I'm just going to be
curious what happens next Saturday night as a scam Newton is up for the Heisman, as well as a guy
that we thought wasn't going to get in after I've started killing with it. But I'm glad he,
I'm glad he got him. Him killing more. Just a Jim, Jim, Michael James. I couldn't remember his name.
And then your fourth candidate? Uh-huh. I've lost one. Look, Andrew Locke. Interesting,
speaking of him, interesting question on the worldwide leader today. A lot of people think of
the four finalists. Luck is going to be your best pro. And I agree. I agree. There's people coming
out here saying that Newton's better, his skills at this level are better than Tim Tebow. I don't
want to even get in that water. It doesn't, I will. You can't forecast. That's all I'm saying. You can't
replace integrity. You can't replace attitude. You can't replace accountability. And you can't
replace a good guy with a good heart. Well, my thing is, if there's an NFL season, we'll have this
discussion 365 days from now when he's in the pro. Yes. And we'll see how this goes. Because
as we know, things tend to not translate. But as you see, James, your game was down 53% from
last year. As you saw, Bam and Florida, maybe Auburn, South Carolina, not the same sizzle,
or is this fan backlash? What do you think? I think it's both. I think part of it is,
if you thought in your heart of hearts that South Carolina was going to win that thing,
as we thought they might. Yeah. There's just, it was, there was so much going against them.
I just don't think people could predict. I mean, when you had Alabama, Florida, this was,
that was the game. That was taking my own bias out of it. That was the game. That was what,
that's what people were watching. It was, you know, now granted that big 12 game turned into a
better game last year. But nobody was expecting, really expecting Nebraska to win that thing. And
where has, you know, Florida, Alabama was almost a pickup and it turned into a beat down. But that,
to me, that was the national title game. I thought that, I thought that to Florida and Alabama,
not taking no discount from the University of Texas last year. And you know, what I, you know,
maybe if, if Colt plays the whole game, who knows? I'm once again, I'm not getting in that water.
I've been in that tub all winter. I'm not doing it again.
Is that a hot sub time machine? Yeah. I'm not, I've been asked that question more than I can
ever imagine. I've been asking any question. I don't know if that's true or not. But all I know
is to me, Florida and Alabama was a national title game. I can say for your own words. No. So,
okay. We're going to do a little random thought. We are because it was something we were going
to get to on Saturday. We got caught up in some great special guests and we have no problem with
stuff that we have special guests on the air. But we were going to talk about this random thought
segment about conference expansion. Is it good? Is it bad? Is it status quo? Well, and this is all
in the back in the comparison of TCU joining the Big East. Some people say it's bad. Some people say
it's good. I'm on the one. If it makes sense, I'm all for it. Yeah. If it's, we talked about this
last week and we said, great move for you in the fall. But basketball. Good luck. Basketball is
going to be tough for them because baseball might be good for them. Yes, but I'm not taking them
over Georgetown, Syracuse, West Virginia. I mean, there's going to be some. St. John's. St. John's.
There's going to be some who lives. But hey, if you like college basketball and if you live in this
area, hey, get your butt down to Fort Worth because you're going to see some class act basketball
programs down there. Um, Colorado Nebraska leaving, I think, is a kick to the, is a kick to the
stomach of the big 12 Colorado. And you know, the pack 10 will be 16 teams. If it makes sense,
geographically, I'm all for it. And that's why I think I'm kind of indifferent about the move
with TCU to the Big East. Demographically, it just doesn't make sense. Geographical. Geographically
doesn't make any sense. Yeah, I mean, you're going to play it on weight. You know, you've got a kid
that's going to go to TCU. You want to go see him play. I've got to go to, I've got to go to New Jersey.
Yeah. Um, and I think, you know, and I know you can't do this because of the being what it is.
I would like to see it go to a situation to where let's get some of these bottom feeders out of
here. And I'm saying that, you know, Vandy, why can't, why can't the SEC get Vanderbilt out of
that conference? And I don't want to hear academics. What keeps that from happening? I honestly can't
answer that question. I don't know. I mean, what if you're Vandy, it's good for you because you've
got those two little letters on your school. And also the money is trickling down to you anyway.
But I want to know what, what, what can't Baylor in the Big 12 for so long? You can't say that now.
You can't say they are biological. But in, I mean, come on, it's been a while. I'd like to, I'm
all for a super conference. I said that when I didn't want it to be the pack 10. I don't love
us seeing Oklahoma and Texas throw up deuces to the rest of the big 12 and go to the SEC. That
was, at that point, just keep, just call it the B the BCS SEC conference game. Yeah.
It's that simple. Yeah. I thought that would have been really cool. I thought it was playing for
that. I wasn't real big on everybody going to the pack 10 because then you have games and I'll
start till nine o'clock. And that was never good. Well, plus the fact of, for, for teams like
Oklahoma and Texas, that's a lateral move. Yes. If not a step back. And I'm not, I'm going to
tell you, I don't know if that still may not happen. I think you're fixing to have the big 12
missile crisis. Yeah. So I'm going to call it. And I just think you're going to end up having a
situation to where the Bay of Teens. Yeah. I think you're going to have situations that are
probably not happy. Big 12 and Texas not happy. And then all of a sudden, something happens.
What are you going to call it now? I don't know what you're going to be the big 10.
The big 12. Exactly. But I'm just very confused. I don't think this new rule. I give this new
alignment. I'll give it four years. You got to do something because I think the big 12 has to
realize that without a conference championship. Yeah. You're losing a bajillion. I think, I think
I'll give it four years and just see what happens. At that point, you just got to see what happens.
But man, I just, I don't know how this is going to work. I know there's one rumor that
they're wanting to probably you. Bedlam probably won't be Thanksgiving weekend anymore.
That hurts me. And they're probably saying the same thing out of Xanim and Texan.
Well, that's all about that being week three. Yeah. There's what I hear. Moving that around. I think
they're wanting attractive matchups that weekend. But you know what, the big 10 and pack 10 did it
for years and it worked. So it can work. It has happened. But the reason why this is you're going
to see a lot of games where you go, hey, that's supposed to be a big 10 and this is this real
alignment. Some and also some of your contracts with conferences and some of these balls have
expired. So you're going to hear see some matchups go, how in the world is that work? Is that
here? Yep. So let's get to it. Well, let's, let's do one quick thing before we, before we go
there, if you don't mind, it's the holiday season. Yes. You want to, the one thing that I love about
the holiday season that I wish was year round, but it's not is people like to give back. That's true.

I've been excited about this show for weeks after my huge monumental,
mislike victory in lock of the week. I've got the belt hanging over my chair right now.
It looks like a football. Actually, it looks more like a box of sting action figures but it is
hanging on the wall. We are going to go through the bowls with you and we're going to make our own
picks. I've got my spreadsheet ready to go. We're going to start at the bottom and work our way up.
Actually, we're going to do this in the order that they will air.
So, we start one week from this Saturday, December the 18th and Boise Idaho home of my mother,
the humanitarian bowl, as Northern Illinois takes on Fresno State.
Wow. You know, I really thought Boise. You know what? I missed one. I really thought Boise.
There it is. I really thought Boise would end up in this ball game being home. Obviously,
the home of the blue turf. I'll actually watch Northern Illinois in the Mac championship game
that they played at Fortfield Detroit last Friday night. Northern Illinois, to me,
looks like they could be a, I mean, they look like they're a pretty salty little little ball team.
Ranked seventh in the country overall in Rush Yards. If they're wrong with that. So 13th in points
and hey, top 25 defense, 16th averaging, 19.1 points allowed per game. So, I don't know.
These games are always so, I kind of like these lower bowls. I don't have a dog in the fight.
You know. So, um, but you know, then you flip the coin and there's Fresno State. They,
they're getting to be almost a normal. They're almost becoming Gonzaga and it's a late tournament.
Fresno State gets to be a ball team every year. They're, they're getting to that point where
they're, they're basketball teams, yes. But this is
67th in passing, 55th in rushing, 45th in points, 80th ranked defense in the country, 29.2 points
a game. I'm going Northern Illinois. You're also looking at a 10 and a 3 team versus an
even 14. That's correct. I will also take Northern Illinois. Yes, I'm going to put a B in that
category. Oh, wrong, wrong one. So, Husky, Husky versus Bulldog. And that will be airing it
530 Eastern on the worldwide leader. Let's back up three and a half hours. Yes, you, the New
Mexico bowl and Albuquerque, New Mexico, one time high school home of my wife. Yes. As BYU
at 6 and 6 takes on a 6 and 6 U-TEP team, BYU finishing 5th in the Mountain West Conference,
U-TEP finishing 4th in conference USA. Hey, U-TEP, U-TEP to me had one at one of the,
it's funny how these teams like Houston and U-TEP, these, these teams kind of start off so explosive.
As beginning of the year, they had a very explosive offense and they kind of,
6 and 6 barely got in, you know, 60th in passing, 69th in rush, 58th in total defense.
6 and 6. That's Koustak. 6 and 6. Speaking of 6 and 6, I'm going to have, when we're dealing
with this, I've got some numbers for you. BYU's same thing though. To me, this is a game where I
think it's a coin flip. BYU in the, in the Mountain West, usually they dominate that conference,
not that type of year in the Mountain West for, for BYU and every time I saw them on television,
they were just getting slaughtered. 86th in total offense in the country. Yeah, but you're all
talking about the New Mexico Bowl. New Mexico Bowl, you know, the trophy there, it looks like a,
you seen the trophy there? Is it a bowl of salsa or? No, it's, it's a queso. Oh, hey, and they come,
come for every, if you got a queso on your menu, I have to try it, I'm a queso coming soon. No,
it's kind of a weird Indian shield with feathers and paint, so it's Will's off trophy either way.
Which means it's going to be Will's off halftime shows. Yes, you know what? Do you got,
give me the miners. You're taking the miners. I'm taking you, Tip. You're taking miners. I'm
actually going to take BYU because of the experienced actor. That's true. BYU, they're also trying
to lobby themselves into a different conference. Now they have gone independent.

eight, eight PM Eastern, that same, you have three bowls on the 18th. As we go a little bit east of
us to the New Orleans Bowl, Miami of Ohio versus Troy, of course, that game is in the Super Dome.
New Orleans, Louisiana. You know, Troy won that Sunbelt conference. It has a certain team,
some local teams are here close to us. Also, you've got Miami of Ohio finishing second in the
Mid-America East Division. Yeah, the Mid-America Conference in their Eastern Division.
You know, Troy's, I have not seen Troy play one time, so I'm not exactly on the only body,
but I'll tell you this, they're 12 in the country and passing. So they're going to go back,
they're going to sling it. Yeah. You know, how's Ohio on past defense? Ohio in past defense,
right now, which I want to think about Ohio, that is a guy that he had the head coach over there.
He used to be at Nebraska. I may lean more towards Ohio because that Frank Solich,
who was at Nebraska. We all know that name. Yes. If you would hear us now, head coach,
he was Ohio was 100 of C against passing yards, 105th in the country. Ohio. So they are not a
passing team, but they're 39th in rush. Give me the bobcats. I'm taking Ohio. You know what? I
actually want to take Ohio, but I don't want us to agree too much. So I'm going to let you take Ohio.

an hour in a matter of seconds. Um, but I don't know. I'm, I'm going to go Louisville. Charlie Strong.
Well, I'm, I'm going to go the other way. I'm going to go Southern Miss. I just,
reasons, feels, just feeling saucy. Feelin' saucy. I, I've got to go, I don't want to
agree with you. What is the, I love Charlie Strong. I want to go with him, but you, you win

ball. We go to the 22nd of December at eight o'clock on ESPN, the Neko Las Vegas Bowl, and of
course, Las Vegas, Nevada, Utah Boise State. This is kind of a sexy matchup. You got Utah who
finished second in the Mountain West versus Boise State, who of course finished second in the
whack after Nevada. Well, you decided they were going to take them out. Brief all. And again,
Utah ten and two this year Boise State, Nevada was their only loss. I've got to give it to the
Broncos. I think that they want to get back to that level. I think they're going to be hungrier
than a Utah team that maybe didn't have the strongest strength to schedule this year. After
Notre Dame and bearish Utah, they just kind of fell off the map. You know, TCU blows them out,
then they lose the Notre Dame, and then all right, Utah, thanks for stopping by.
I mean, that's pretty much what's their season. They got, I mean, their two losses were bad losses.
And they lost to a Notre Dame team that I thought Utah would have blown off the map.

still Notre Dame. They had the big shoot out week one with East Carolina lost 51-49. Also in a bowl
this year. Also bulgeable. Tulsa, I have a Ken kinship to Tulsa, Todd Graham. I'm a skeet local guy
here. Jujay Kenny, Canton. Saw him playing high school. I got to go with the golden hurricane. I've

Oh, we get out of Hawaii at home. They don't lose very often in the Hawaii bowl. They just don't.

got Army Navy. Yeah, but always a fun game. And they're not doing the blue gray anymore. They're

know who's showing it. But the champs sports bowl in Orlando, Florida, NC State, West Virginia,
NC State 8 and 4 this year, 3rd in the ACC Atlantic Division, West Virginia. As we all know,
finished second in the Big East at 9 and 3. Yeah, you know, North Carolina was a few seconds
away from playing for the ACC title in last week. NC State was real close to representing
their division in the ACC title game. I like North Carolina State. West Virginia, I think
Bill Snyder, I think that sees getting hot. And they've always had a pretty high opinion
themselves too. Well, because it's two words. Yes, Ridge Rod, Rickus, Michael Vick.
That's Virginia Tech. I follow you guys. No, West Virginia, yeah, West Virginia is kind of
since the Ridge Rod era. We're both all over the map. I like West Virginia. I like their

fourth in the big 10 and 75, Mizzou's second in the big 12 North at 10 and two. If you listen,
or you watched anything, listen to our show or ESPN, Iowa is probably one of the biggest disappointments
of this season's Iowa. They just kind of rolled off the table, the less they were the orange
bowl last year. Yeah. Georgia Tech and Iowa both representatives in the orange bowl last season,
they just rolled off the map. I think Missouri's good. I saw them play several times. At one time,
they were top 10. They're only 12 now. I think they're better at quarterback. I'm going to go Mizzou
on this. I have said Mizzou as well. Yeah, I'm going to go Mizzou. I don't know why. I think I think
I'm going to go Mizzou, but I wouldn't be shocked if Iowa won this game. Mizzou is one of those
teams that just somehow, when the big game comes around this year, they just step up. They've
shown up. Except the deal with tech. Again, they were attacking out. I don't know what happened
that day, but I wouldn't be shocked if Iowa didn't win this game. I'm going to go with Missouri,
but then if Iowa wins, I'm not going to go. Wow. It could believe almost another big 10 school.
Their Missouri was making rumble. They were going to go to the big 10 for a while,
but then the big 10, we don't want you. I'm going to go Mizzou, but then it's not a big shocker
if Iowa pulls it out. Let me ask you this. Why do we have a triple header on a Wednesday?
On the 29th of December, we started 2.30 in the afternoon because you've got too many balls.
Damn, oh, there's that. The military bowl in Washington, D.C. and either one of these teams
are in the military bowl. I think it is. Because they're probably playing that at that FedEx field,
or whatever that is. It's not or must I just not count Maryland East Carolina.
Maryland, second in the ACC Atlantic Division in 8 and 4. Congratulations to East Carolina.
I've got some ties there. Second in the Kusa East at 6 and 6. Now, Maryland's the one that run
NC State's life. Yes, they did. Ralph Riggins, he had to get back on the map because,
remember, this was a four-win ball team ledger. The Terps, after playing in the orange bowl three
years ago, Maryland kind of took it on the chin this year. East Carolina, love East Carolina.
Like their head coach, Ruffin McNeil. I thought another great name. I thought he should have
been the head coach at Texas Tech right now. Want my opinion? Keep the tech should have tried to
keep that in the family. I'm going to say I just don't know if he gets his first bull win as a head
coach this year. I'm going to Terps. I'm going to Maryland. That's what I've said. I don't want to
do that, but that's another one. Don't be surprised if he's caught on the win that ball game.
Because Ruffin, those kids, they've already been saying those kids have really rallied around him.
He's preaching and they're believing. That's all you need. That's all you need for a successful

I thought that I think that's one of Baylor's biggest Achilles heel is they're not very good at
stopping the run. If there was one thing, a lot of teams with Baylor, A&M, Oklahoma,
a lot of these teams, they ran right at the gut on Baylor and I hope if that can't continue
University of Illinois, the fighting align eye. Yes. The former Rob is runs looks to there.
So yeah, Baylor don't get sucked. But Illinois was a 13th ranked team in the country
and rushing at 242.3 yards per game. But they also average given up 25 points a game.

game than last year's Orange Bowl. Yes. Well, I said at the end of last week, college football
segment on the show, this is the one team I did not want to play in a long game. Stanford. Oh,
Stanford's very physical. I think in my opinion, they have the best pure pure quarterback
in the country. I agree. Running throwing running in offense. What's the line right now? The line
is Stanford minus three. I like. I like Frank Beamer. I find myself always kind of rooting for
Virginia Tech because of him. I like the work ethic. I like their defense. They're always a beast on
special teams. I just think Harball also will predict this will be Harball's last game and Stanford
head coach. Give me Stanford. I know that might be hard. I just I think they have all the tools.
I think they're really really good coached and they're so physical to point of attack at the

thing people are giving it granted for Auburn's very, very exposable and they'll give up some points
on defense. You can score on them. Let me tell you this much. If it get you're not going to

answered points against a team like Oregon. Oregon will run them out of that building. Well, Michael

side. I think at times Oregon on defense. I was going to say Oregon's defense can be very safe.
They can get lazy. I thought they were going to let Arizona beat them the Friday after Thanksgiving.
I was like, man, they're Oregon better wake up or they're going to play their way out of this deal.
This is a tough one. I think I'm not sure. And I want to say this. Let's play what if.

because I know the NCAA president's taken a lot of heat for his decision. I understand it though.
If you don't have enough to say that it's guilty, you can't. This is a tough one. This has actually

a slam dunk. Anytime Ohio State played against SC team, it was a slam dunk. I think the last time
you really had a competitive game was a show divided was Oklahoma Ford as the last time you had a
very competitive championship game. But Auburn keeps teams in games. I think I think it bites them.
But as of right now, they have the player number one player in the country that nobody can stop.
Until somebody stops him, I do like what Chip Kelly said though. We're going to hit him on
ever playing. We're going to tackle him on ever playing. You have to. That's yeah. That's how you
contain it. I think to me, he ran through South Carolina like a wet paper bag. But South Carolina
is not our Oregon. I think Oregon is a little bit tougher. I think they'll hit him. I think Oregon's
better coached. If we're going coaching, I think or I think Chip Kelly is a better coach than

If you want people to give you the respect that I feel now your team. Your team. Yeah, this is
the game. This has kind of been and I think one thing Auburn has to shake it off. A lot of people
nationally think this is a one man show. And to this point, it has been Michael Demps have been almost
non-existent for this offense. Cam Newton, you're running back. He's your fullback. He's been a wide
receiver. Oregon might take that away. They hurt you're giving them almost a full nut for Oregon
to win this game. If all really, if they can neutralize Cam Newton, this game gets weird. Yeah.
But I think that again, as a team Auburn, congratulations. Yes. Because Cam Newton is the only
person on the field. There's 21 other guys that have gotten YouTube this. But I think if you take
it, if you take away Cam, somebody else got to make plays. I just don't know if he's going to be
able to run around and he's not. Run around and be able to field and run five or six yards and
fall down and it's first and goal. I just I got to give more for Oregon for that by opinion.

removed from the final resolution pay-per-view for they were saying on behavior and some believe
to be drunkenness backstage. There's some rumors. It's fatigue.

Michigan to do an appearance there. Then from Michigan, Fudor, Orlando, a lot of the people that
went on this Middle East tour with TNA with him backed him up. That's really what pushed it over the

backstage and his character's name is Seth Rollins. And I'm like, if that's Tyler Black,
they've redone him completely because this dude was, no, it was not him. I will tell you this though,
I think that you've got to get him out there. I think they've got to get him in Nexus.
They're going to do something with me. Yeah. I mean, the guy's a name that people know. I don't
know if anybody knows the name Seth Rollins. This is the Black Machismo version. What are my favorite
bits ever? So last week, Mark Henry, Yoshi Tatsu, beat Nexus and become your number one
contenders for the tag belts, which we said last week was kind of weird. Congratulations,
you're now number one contenders, which are going to be in a four-way match with two other teams
who are also going to make number one contenders. And Nexus in a four corners tag team elimination
match, one by Santino and Coslov. Very strange. You know, I'd like to see tag team
turmoil TLC. They could be setting that up. So it's weird. It makes sense. But let's work this
to the pay-per-view. If they still have them after TLC, I'll be like, huh, this is weird. Even if
those things are on the wine at TFC, TLC, I'll be shocked at this point. What do you think of
Shamus' king outfit? I thought like a character from the Hobbit or Lord of the Rings. Very strange,
like devil horns on the, yeah. He had a shellaly. I thought maybe Finley was going to come out or
Hornswaggle was going to be his court jester. And then it was so funny when Morrison came out and
they had their little brawl. I got a text from our friend Andrew who's in Atlanta right now
this week. He sent me a text that said, ooh, throw me into a padded chair. Yeah. Oh, I mean, it was,
but they, they are committed to keeping this Morrison Shamus bit, but John, you're fit. I think
you're going to get the monster push backwards because hey, he's king for one reason, pump the
return of Triple H, which will happen any day now. Waiting for it. I think, you know, I said,
I think it might be worth it to bring him back at TLC. Do you bring him back for the slant
night? Because you've got a three hour rod of fell. True. And it is the go home show for the paper
view. That's true. I just manned it. I just don't understand. I mean, it's like I told you
on a text message one day, it's like Vince is saying, needy-hokers, okay. Yeah, I'm okay. Yeah,
there was, there was nothing that made me just go, man, this was wrong. And there was, to
me, nothing except for maybe the tag belts changing hands, nothing jumped out at me and said,
this was a, this was a good show. I didn't feel it. And I'm about had it up to here. And you can't
people can't, what I'm going to come in here. I'm so sick and tired of John Cena. It's
Cena night Raw. It's Monday night, Cena. It's like Vince is so scared to get him off. It's just
Cena have the book. This is getting almost a best TNA. Yeah, it's like to me that John Cena may
have the book over there. I just, I just wasn't, it just did nothing for me. Did you hear with law,
but law or got a little lippy with like cool, right? The beginning where he said, why don't you put
on something a little more comfortable like a coffin? Oh, King, King's getting a little scrappy.
I thought that was weird. And then, yeah, natty gets beat down, but Melina, do you think,
are they trying to make Melina join this thing? Good day. I think we've kind of, every time we
push her, she gets injured. Weird. We'll see. I mean, they got to get more going on next Monday,
for sure. The WWE Championship match at TLC has been determined. It will be Randy Orton versus
the Miz. The one thing we didn't want to see in a table's match. Just something about Randy Orton
and a main event of any pay-per-view. I don't care. Belt or no belt doesn't do anything for me.
Why can't we switch those and have that VTLC so we don't have to get a cane on a ladder? Yeah,
that I feel bad for Edge. I pity Edge right now because Edge is going to have to carry a TLC
match by itself. And I think they keep the belt on cane. I said that. I said that Saturday.
Well, you and I had a stark reality over the weekend when we were talking on the phone. He's held
that belt almost six months. Yeah. Can't tell that belt since Money in the Bank. That's amazing.
Took it off right. And that, and that was just one of those deals. I have a high? Yeah. But I,
and I don't know, but with cane being healed without the undertaker has zero relevance to me.
And and Percy Pringle makes it worse. Yes. All bearer makes it worse. Yeah, but I would like
them to keep it on the Miz. I wouldn't be shocked if Orton got it back. I think you,
one thing you got the briefcase away from Miz. No, he still can't let there's nothing you don't
know what I'm saying. It's, it's giving it now. It's a given there. But I just, I think this,
the business has fixed kind of well, not the business. There's fixed me across roads and
an intersection or fork in the road. And they better start getting people in more involved.
Because I think the business is in a lull that we have it seen since the early to mid 90s.
I think it's worse than that. Yeah. Because at that point, at least you still had WCW that was kind
of viable. And TNA, right now, that's not viable. They're just swirling the TNA is almost, I mean,
not to spoil anything. And if you're not into impact spoilers, this really isn't one, but I'm
going to say it anyway, your main event on impact this week is Tara and Mickey James. The knockouts
are your main event on impact. Now, granted that we say it every week. They've got the corner on
the women's division. Absolutely. But when you're letting that, you're, they're going to main event
over everything else. I mean, I respect the fact that they're doing it. They've got some of the
greatest women wrestlers I've ever seen. But wow. That's, I think that maybe the first time that's
ever happened. Yeah. That's where we're talking coming off an era of people like Trish Stratus and
Leeda and Sunny. You know, this is, this is crazy. Weird.
What's next for Cena? I mean, the ultimate it was thrown down at the end of the show,
where Wade Barrett's told by David O'Tonga, if you don't hire him back, you're out of Nexus.
I still want to know who's letting Wade Barrett hire in fire.
True. He fired Cena. He can rehire Cena. If, if I could just work in K-Fame for a minute,
Teddy Long can't hire him. That's true. I just, you know he ends up with the belt.
That's just how this works. I mean, that's just how this thing works with Cena. It is Monday,
night, Cena. The two worst things of my net Raw is Randy Orton and John Cena. I just,
Michael, because Orton, they keep, you know, it's sad if you think about Orton.
He's peaked at 27. That's crazy. To me, Randy Orton is done with relevance in this business.
TNA. Well, T go to TNA and put the belt on him. But it's not, it's not, it's not, he goes to TNA.
He's Jeff Hardy in TNA. Yes. It's not going to hurt anything Vince is doing.
I think, Randy Orton in TNA is a finger at a thumb party. Yes.
A thumb at a finger party. I'm sorry. Yeah. That's how it is. It's just sad because to me,
his wrestling career is peaked and he's only, he's only 27 years old. He's made his money.
Yeah, he's made his money. But to me, he's losing relevance when he ought to be in his prime,
his primes two or three years behind him. I wonder if a Smackdown move would be the best thing.
I think so. I think he needs to, I think he needs time off. And I think same thing with Cena.
I think the best thing would would would been Paul Cena to the rumble. We'll see what they should have
done after Survivor Series is pull him off TV for two or three weeks. Yeah. See what the ratings
do and then make the call. Yes. I totally agree. Because that way, if you lose a point and a half,
then yeah, bring it back. But I don't think the ratings are going to dip that bad if John Cena's
not on television. That's just a strange, strange, strange. And they are totally, we knew they would,
though. We knew they screwed that up. We said they're not going to, they're not going to turn him
and they'll screw this whole nexus thing up. And they did. They did exactly what they,
what didn't, we didn't screen. We were. They are who we thought they were. They did it. They
did exactly what everybody didn't want them to do. Vince didn't. He killed the nexus. He's now
made nexus a joke. And you're once again, Cena is this unbeatable person. And you've got some
kids in nexus that I think can go. Yeah. McGillicide, Gabriel, Gabriel, Barrett. I think all of them
really can. I mean, Tunga could go, but he can't be by himself. Exactly. I just don't understand.
And maybe this is me with good old day syndrome. I don't know.
But a lot of the players are players that these, this isn't these guys first. Yes, swim in ocean.
They know what's going on. Yeah. And I don't understand why we can't get, get this thing back on the
track. That's right. But we'll have more, more wrestling talk for you next week. We appreciate
