9.5 weeks Which got iconic on that Also number one hit with his duet With Jennifer Lawrence The theme from an off-sort of gentlemen Up where we belong Feeling all right Which is a song done by Grace You are so beautiful Which is huge forever When the night comes Which I'm also a huge fan of A guy that was a little reclusive as the years went on But still great Was living in Colorado when he second mother to me When my mom moved To the Pacific Northwest She basically told me If you're not at my house Christmas and Thanksgiving morning I will hunt you down To care of me And her whole family really did welcome me in We also lost a very good friend of the show Chris Coronado this year It's hard to believe it's been almost four months Almost five months Since he passed A lot of great tributes to him this week on Facebook Also lost friend of the show Sila Luna Who was a friend of ours from the sports city days Worked at the Dallas Zoo Worked at worked with the gorillas there Really got to live out her dream And lastly And we've never mentioned this on the show Just for various reasons But we're going to go ahead and talk about it right now At the end of September my father passed away And Still kind of getting used to that If you know that whole story God works in all kinds of ways And he really worked very well With me in that way That I did get to see him Back in May And The blessing of that for me was I really got to meet a lot of people that New more about me than I knew about them Because they knew me when I was very very young And I need very young And people I hadn't seen in four decades And they treated me like they'd seen me the day before And so that was a true blessing Like I said, we haven't talked about it publicly Just for personal reasons But I think it's worth noting tonight As we wrap up the year To say farewell To people we know Anybody else that anybody else wants to put forward before we move on On this segment We good Yeah, I think I believe the Sony hack happened. I believe that that happened, but I believe that the interview used that as as the great imposter. They used a piggybacked off of a real thing to promote a movie that critics were already calling horribly unfunny and was at 48% on Rotten Tomatoes.

There's been worse. We already talked about it's Franco and Rogan. It's not going to be funny.

There he is. I was like, if people are thinking that it was maybe a disgruntled employee. I'll even look at wire.com.

Anybody else realized that by everybody going to see the interview, you're giving your credit card information to Sony, which I thought was funny. You think this was a big social experiment? I think it's possible. I don't think if it went down that way, I really don't see that they could have possibly had that much influence over an entire freaking studio.

The whole studio thing was at this. That the studio was like, yeah, go ahead and use it. It'll make this thing money do it.

That's my thing. I think that's kind of a story. Because right now, this thing has a really bad taste in my mouth because of it.

Because of the way this thing went down all the sudden, oh, we're going to go ahead and be brave and show it. I don't understand why people wanted to see this in the first place. Well, it just looks stupid.

Chad had a company me on a An excursion to buy an Xbox one we came in we came home and installed it Very much enjoying it's fine work. I just a couple of little glitches That need to be worked out and we're gonna have to get on the Xbox forums and find out what's going on there But I really like it it integrates my entire home theater really well It's pretty it really is and the interfaces easy to use I will say this it really I Don't have to turn my for somebody's and I don't have to turn my receiver up is loud Which is weird that's a good thing like it amplifies the audio signal and it does everything in seven one Really so it it actually you devised all of my seven one which is really really nice We watched it a deep blue ray on it last night. I did think it was weird I don't know if you were here yet Andrew we put the blue ray in and it had when I put the blue ray in I had to install the blue ray app Like the blue ray drivers weren't already there.

Oh, that's not surprising. That was kind of weird for me But we played a little bit of a mark when you get a game and you have to date your system That's all really all But we played a Lego Marvel Superheroes on it looks great I played the demo for Lego Batman 3 they probably could have picked a better level to do that on Because it was really confusing and kind of painful But uh looks great. I'm I'm I'm happy with my purchase Yeah, now I'm looking forward to putting it through some more paces and seeing what else it can do So I got the little media remote for it.

I got a extra controller We did find out though. They don't come with rechargeable battery packs in them Those are sold separately Of course, so I bought a charger and happened But I but I recommend it. I think it's a great little system to use We did install the NFL app and we mess with that today during the football games.

That was needo. It's pretty neat You can do different things like you can have it where Had just has the score. You can have like fantasy numbers scroll through the screen.

It's really really good I very much enjoyed it and it automatically defaulted to the game we were watching Really which was kind of cool. I didn't try to force us to watch anything else which I really really dug But I think with that that NFL app it only works like we were talking about on your big tv because if you're trying to run stuff down the side on My 46 inch TV then the game is going to be a lot smaller. Yeah, it does shrink the game down a little bit Or it makes a resolution look a lot better because it's smaller.

It does compress it a little bit true But you you see less right like yeah everything the players like a little tiny guys I don't look like really We're not a lot of robes Yes, they don't know either confirmed or denied doesn't look like you're playing a video game on a game boy Anything you want to add on your Xbox one experience so far It's it's it delivers. It definitely delivers. It's got a learning curve to it, but I think if I ever have a this a PC now that's got windows 8.

I'll be able to use it easier and I really hope that that Illuma room concept finally sees the light. I'm not saying it wasn't good And it didn't just extrude to the source material. I know that's probably yours Yeah, I'm not saying it wasn't good, but after seeing it two or three times okay I'm done like it's not that kind of movie like Thor or Guardian's or Avengers that I can watch multiple True, but it was great the first time you watch on like wow that was better than I thought it was going to be yeah It was better than I thought it would be the first time For me my number nine The most unchecked flick chick flick. I've ever watched the other woman Cameron Diaz Leslie Man Kate Upton I like it very much enjoyed this film.

I didn't see this as a top 10 for you though Oh, it was it's one of my favorite movies of the year because it's one of those movies that as a dude You can sit in and not feel like you're losing your man card Because it's just it's a really really good film and I've been trying to get Chad to watch it for last six months I don't know if he has yet. It's a six-year-old boy He ends up going to college. Yeah, the same kid you see and it's all filmed in Texas Check it out. It's it's it's almost three hours long and there's and it's not a very linear story Like certain things happen and there's no resolution to those things It's just more like a glimpse into into the into the life of this kid is he gets all teeth in a hawk Who I'm not a huge fan of it's great in this?

It's good in this Basically, it's the story of in 2014 a company comes up with a chemical that they think will reverse global warming and they release it into the atmosphere versus that Well, what it ends up it basically blocks out the sun and turns the earth into an ice ball While this guy comes up with this train that runs at its own power circles the globe over one year and The only people surviving this thing are on this train and there's a there's a class system in the train You have the people that are the halves are in the front of the plane train and you have that have nuts from the back of the train And there's a prison in the middle and the have knots aside. They're gonna have an uprising And read by Chris Evans Could you I mean am I the only one that watch out?

I'm like didn't even think about him as Captain America at all No So great go check that out. It's available on DVD and the train is a character Yeah, the train is some of the best fight choreography. I've seen it all wrong time.

I'm not saying it wasn't a good movie But I can obviously you're not because it was a top 10 I just don't know that it was the best movie of the I just can't think of something so innovative something more That's what gets me that the fact that this was so gutsy and it was But it doesn't but it doesn't gutsy doesn't make the best movie of the year I decided this was just amazing just because you felt like you're watching this boy grow up like your his parent But I think the other thing that A lot of people will put it, but not the best movie of the year One of the things I had to do watching this film I had to take my Texas glasses off My Texas glasses It was looking at this film with my daughter who is the same ages this kid sitting right next to me going Daddy you and I have had that conversation Yeah, that this was a it was like but you but those are different lenses than I have But that's what I love I love it so much that's why it it spoke to me in a way that it may not speak innovative and so there are different ways And patients The only thing that I think will turn people off to this film is that it's not linear storytelling And that's why it's sat where it's sat for me because it's not linear story so many because there's a lot of moments at that film that Don't get resolved and we live in an in a time where people want to see Resolution but they want to see the bad guy get theirs in a film. They want to see This happened to this person.

I want them to get their chips. They're just caught To me that's not not that's not linear and not linear like not linear storytelling is like Poet fiction where it jumps around but that's my definition linear goes I go from here to here with this story part and you don't get that there's a lot of different moving parts to the story You don't think we'll turn people off. You don't get closure and everything in your life at one time.

It's not possible And that's why but I don't expect that in real life in a lot of people expect that in their films That's the difference and I'm not saying again.
