It is 702 on the East Coast.
It is 402 on the West Coast.
It is Sunday, December 8th in the year of our Lord, 2,013.
It is season 4 episode 22.
The clubhouse is live on the air and we welcome you no matter how you're listening, whether
you're listening live on you stream, whether you're listening on our archive or whether
you subscribe on iTunes, we don't care how you listen, we're just glad you're here.
Good evening.
My name is Rob and if you could see me right now, I am so warm and toasty feeling pretty
good.
Joining me in the studio as he does each and every week is a man who probably hasn't seen
past the end of his street in about four days and there's nothing wrong with that, especially
with the weather here in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
He is Chad.
Good evening sir.
Good evening.
You sir.
Yeah, I barely saw the outside of an interior, but you know what, with what's going on here in
the Dallas Fort Worth area right now, there's nothing wrong with that, but I've been sick
as a dog.
It's still kind of clinging to me.
I went to work on Friday.
Sure I put my car halfway into a ditch, but don't go on it.
I got to work and I worked my shift.
And then of course yesterday, Grace, he had a big show, I'm sorry we didn't have
this last week on the show, but we didn't know we had it until after the show aired.
Grace, he had a great show out at Rowland static tattoo out in Quinland, Texas.
We want to thank everybody out there for having us, had a great time.
Kenny and I just went out there and got it done.
Had a blast out there looking forward to doing it again, raise the element.
We're Rowland solo tonight.
Didn't want to book any guests and have them try to get out there and we know that for
those of you in the Dallas Fort Worth area, we know that the ice is melting, but the weather
is now saying it's going to re-freeze overnight.
So please, please only go out if you have to.
There's no reason to be out there if you don't have to be.
Don is joined us in the chat room, good to see you, surrogate things are that you're
at your home safe and warm.
Because there's a lot of people out there doing a lot of crazy.
Oh, you know, YouTube videos on how to drive an ice if you have to, let's all
say in.
Because there's some people that just think, hey, I'm just going to go 70 over this bridge.
You're going to wind up on the other side of that bridge and not in the straight way,
in like the hard left or hard right way.
It'd be nice if you could somehow like attach a lawn spreader to the hood of your car
and then just fill it with kitty litter when you left the house.
So in case the city doesn't do it, you can just do it yourself as you're right.
By that stuff from Kroger, I saw the other day.
You just put it on your not killer, but the actual stuff, yeah, yeah.
We start every show with corrections.
We have one from last week, and it's on me because I don't know how to read.
If you set your DVR to record the sound of music on Friday night, you didn't get it.
It's because it was on Thursday night, or so.
And from all the reports I'm reading, a lot of people lauding carry underwood for her singing,
but not so much for her acting.
So that doesn't surprise me.
Well, I mean, did anybody was anything expecting MEO were running acting from carry underwood
apparently is acting so much?
You know what I'm saying?
I can't, I can't, I can't news for you.
Just with two just and from Kelly with love and done.
Don, we're going to talk about that here in just a little while.
If you're listening to the show live, remember, you can be a registered user right here
on Eustream doesn't cost you a penny, and you can give us live feedback in our chat room.
We love to acknowledge what's going on in our chat room.
We love having our the Empire.
We love us feedback.
Now next week, we're going to be live on location.
We're going to talk about that here in just a little while as well.
We're going to go ahead and start with TV talk this week.
Do you understand where I'm going with this?
No, no, no.
Oh, you're looking at the TV.
Yeah, I don't know what that is.
What the thing on that out.
Kelly, just a Blake shelter in the Elf suit.
No, it was the Kelly Clarkson Christmas special coming on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Russ is joined us in the chat room was well good to see you, sir.
Fox, we're going to start with them.
Originally the order for the show dads with Giovanni, Rebisi and Seth Green was given
a 22-order, 22-episode order.
It's been backed off to 19 now.
The reasoning that they're giving is that they want to give some way to some of their mid
season replacements.
Because you know, in January, a lot of networks put other things in the slots of especially
newer shows.
Yeah.
Unless those shows are just ratings, juggernauts, and our one correction from this week's
going to come in to play with that here in just a little while.
But they're not saying that it's anything bad about the show because apparently the show
is doing very well.
It's endorsed by two of at least one of my leaders.
Tom Griswald of the great Bob and Tom.
Oh, really?
Oh, he's this is brilliant.
I'm not taking on any more new shows.
I'm sorry.
I mean, you saw my DVR look right.
Yeah.
And you've seen that that my DVR now looks 33% better than it did a week ago.
Yeah.
But when does your DVR not look like that?
Normally it does.
But what happened was with all of the things that you and I get invited to because of this
show, it doesn't give me a chance to be home in the evenings very much and stuff gets backed
up.
I mean, I'm just today, I started watching this season of CSI.
And I'm over.
Just third to the way done within the last 36 hours for this season of Boardwalk Empire.
And just last night, I got caught up on Family Guy and the Simpsons.
Oh, see, you're caught up on Family Guy.
I mean, I knew that was coming.
And the rumor is that could negate itself by Christmas.
Really?
Yes.
That's what I'm reading now.
We're going to have a new heart solution.
But you know what?
Well, remember now, I won't give it.
If you haven't seen it or you don't have the internet, part of the plot of that episode
was Stewie destroying the time machine, but that doesn't mean he can't reconstruct it.
Because he was looking to reconstruct it in that episode.
OK.
OK.
And the replacement for the person that died is, I don't know if you read this as being
voiced by the guy that was Pauli Walnott's on the soprano.
Oh, God.
And a lot of people would describe to me the character.
I like him.
I kind of like the vibe he's throwing down.
So we're going to see where it goes.
Brain new episode of Family Guy tonight, a quagmire and Peter become like a Simon
and Garfunkel.
Oh, God.
Oh, yes.
That is happening, sir.
Which one is which?
I don't know.
But the picture I saw they're both carrying guitars.
So Anna Purno pictures.
If they're kind of coming on the scene pretty strong with some of their films that they're
releasing.
They're getting into television, too.
They're working on a new Terminator series.
It's going to branch off from what they're calling a very critical moment for the 1984
film where the movie goes one way and they're going another.
But they're not saying what that critical moment is.
Any, no indication of what they're going to add.
I really couldn't tell you what the critical moment they branch off from was.
I'm just saying any speculation on your part is to what that moment could.
No.
Think of what it could be that that you could branch off.
And you know how much I love to say are countercrunicles.
I was very upset that Fox cut that short like they did, but Fox tends to do that.
But Fox fly.
Speaking of which, it was 10 years ago today that sci-fi began the mini series of battle
start galactic.
10 years ago today.
The only thing I can come up with is maybe Kyle doesn't die.
Maybe, maybe, or maybe Kyle was an earlier version maybe that he was a, that he was,
that there's an Android version of him or something.
Possibly.
They don't kind of jack up the movie, but well, but you know, that's the thing about time
travel films.
He can do that first time.
No, not at all.
But that's, but that's about the only thing I can really think of.
It's got, if they're going to go another direction, Kyle is the only thing I can think of.
That'd be the only real, ex-factor thing that they could tinker with.
There has been no, no casting information yet, but they are looking to cast their
corners.
So, Sarah Connor will be involved.
Now, this is a series, right?
Is it a television series, yes, with what do you mean?
Which network?
They haven't said yet.
Okay.
Because I love what Fox did, but no, I'm a little upset with Fox right now, just in general.
Because they're keeping crappy shows and they're getting in good ones.
That's, Fox, that's the only one.
NBC is notorious for that.
Yes, yes, yes.
He's law, smash.
Well, those are shows that you watched that.
So, okay.
I can't pass it to none of those shows.
All right.
I don't know how I feel about this next story.
We have a writer, director, and showrunner for all 13 episodes of the Netflix Daredevil
series.
His name is Drew Goddard, the guy that did that cabinet in the woods in World War C.
My wife actually rented World War C. She enjoyed it.
And I know you enjoyed it very much.
I haven't seen it.
I thought you had it, but you didn't see it.
No, I haven't watched it.
But you said you saw it and you didn't do it.
Jen, don't think Dawn saw it.
Dawn did see it.
I know that for a fact.
Jen really, she said she really liked it.
That is actually her, her cup of tea.
But see, that's the thing about the lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin.
She has the honest taste in television and movies.
I mean, there's times when she'll be watching something in the bedroom and I'll walk in
and I'll look at the TV and I'll look at her and I'll look at the TV and I'll look at
her.
What is going on here?
When you told me, whenever you took her to see the first transformers, whatever
time 10 favorite movies of all time.
And I'm like, that?
I mean, not that it's a bad thing.
That was my retaliation against having to sit through twilight with her.
And she knew how bad it was because I hated too.
I was 45 minutes.
I was like, this movie cannot end quick enough.
But you've got to go see trans roses with me and she's like, I don't know.
My first thought was she's just saying that to say that just so that she doesn't sit
to feel.
It seems like she was tortured.
But she main things it to this day.
How much she loved that movie?
Blows my mind.
I just, that just does not seem like a lovely and talented type of film.
Myself and Leon Hart were both there.
And we both looked at each other with the same look on our face.
But you got her to get her right and direct.
Oh, it's going to be a 13 episode series for Daredevil.
Well, and you said you, I mean, I heard nothing but good things about cabin in the woods
for people in her fan of the genre.
I mean, you had it.
But you did.
Is the main reason you didn't see cabin in the woods is because it was ruined for you
beforehand?
No, it's just one of those things I haven't gotten around to seeing.
I'm still intrigued.
I believe it's on the.
Thank you.
Is it not?
Possibly.
Okay.
I think it is.
But yeah.
Thank you, Rick's rate for screwing that effort.
So many people.
Yeah.
But I want to see just for all the Easter eggs they're working because I hear that there's
all kinds of stuff.
Oh, yeah.
Well, I know that that was one of universal studios of haunted houses for their
for their October fright fest thing was a cabin in the woods deal.
Make sense because so many, so many other elements of other films and other, other
icons of the genre show up in that.
Oh, really?
Uh-huh.
All right.
So we talked about the sound of music before in corrections.
Congratulations to them.
I'm just going to go ahead and say it.
The sound of music live on Thursday night gets NBC.
It's biggest Thursday night rating since 2004.
Good lord.
What happened in 2004?
The friends finale?
No, friends was before that.
Wouldn't it?
I don't know.
Don't get me live.
This one was early 2000s because I thought the finale happened before we moved into this house.
You have to look that up for them.
Okay.
And I'm sure Don's on it, too.
But I don't know what it was, but it's the best Thursday night rating they got since 2004.
Also.
Hey, I'm clicking.
Okay.
The last one.
Which I bought on DVD separately and never watched it.
Uh-huh.
Did it say when in 2004?
No, just as oh four.
May six.
Then that's got to be it.
Then that's got to be it.
That's got to be what the last one was.
I know.
No, no pun intended.
When it was watched by 52.46 million.
Oh yeah, that's got to be it.
And of course my table cut off the end of it and I didn't watch it until.
A couple months ago, fourth most watched television series finale in US history.
There you go.
Not nearly as good as about a circle.
I've got to put that.
Okay.
Casting is underway for the Fox series Gotham.
That will be debuting in the spring talking about the young Jim Gordon.
They are looking to find a 10 year old Bruce Wayne.
Hey.
And you still haven't listened to that.
Well, I still haven't.
You described it to me with pretty.
Yeah.
It's a new detail.
If you know me, I am a fan of Kevin Smith.
I am a fan of fat man on Batman and he and Paul Deenie had a discussion recently.
Yes, that was a started with the commercial for Arkham Origins.
Which I'm not going to lie.
Probably one of the best game trailers I've seen in my years on this plan.
That's a particular one.
Absolutely.
And it's spun into a cover.
Just write it for those.
Just go out there YouTube after the show.
Because I don't want to bog us down in the new show.
No, it just shows the evolution of Bruce.
Right.
And they get into this discussion of why is it?
We don't know what happened to Bruce between the ages of whatever his parents could
shot seven to ten.
And when he comes back.
And so they start just snowball brainstorming this concept of a series.
I mean, they map out the first three seasons of it.
Just in a matter of about an hour.
And I'm in the car losing my mind about oh my god.
If somebody doesn't pick this up, they're out of their absolute freaking mind.
And it's you and I picked up.
They wanted to, I had the, I think what I felt is the best title for it.
Because he ends up going to Bloodhaven.
It's a private school.
And you know, like Harvey says roommate and things, how things progress.
I want to call it prep.
Because it's a prep school.
And he's prepping.
Yeah, mantle.
Because basically what brings him to the school is that he hears that the people behind the murder of his parents are involved in this school.
It's like a skull across bones.
Society kind of a thing.
Right.
We'll have to, we're going to have to play that for him.
Because I've got it sitting on my iTunes waiting on you.
So maybe we'll.
I don't know.
So you have not got.
Okay.
Good.
I can get rid of it then.
But if, if there's a network out here that has half a mind and half of its mind,
they'll book this for next fall.
Maybe they'll work this into it if they're passing it in your own.
Brilliant.
The concept is brilliant.
I mean, that's, that's, that's going deeper than that's.
And that's not just because Kevin's my leader.
And it's not just because it's Batman and we're Batman junkies.
The way he, the way, because it's not, and it's not just Kevin denies throw and stuff in there too.
What if we, the only thing I disagreed with.
Because they originally started with like, blue heavens and all boys school,
there's a girl with the all-girl school that he kind of gets involved with.
And the original concept is that it's going to be Silver St.
Clap, which I'm totally on board with.
But then they wanted it to be Selena.
And I was like, no, no, no, no, no.
And here's why.
Save Selena for college.
Oh, God.
If you know where I'm going with this.
Yeah.
Save her for college.
But I think having Silver St. Claude be his counter part.
I think would be awesome.
And there's talk of like the headmaster of the school being Hugo Strange.
You don't want to get to.
There's a couple of points.
But there's a couple of points where you kind of go, okay, that might be a little much.
Yeah.
But the way they work, you go into the storyline.
It works.
There's a couple of things.
I remember you told me about that.
There's a couple of things that they talk about.
We're going, okay, hold on to that.
Do that like maybe season three or four if we get that full.
Yeah, don't bog this whole thing down in season one.
But it's interesting to see.
Go listen to that.
I can't remember that.
I think it's called Shadow of the Bat.
Which I think it was what they wanted to call the series.
Not to leave him.
I'm going to call it Shadow of the Bat.
Which I know that was already the name of a comic book series.
But who am I?
But it makes sense.
Come on.
And fans of Sleepy Hollow.
Fox announced today that there will be a two hour season finale
on January the 20th.
Again, this is a show that I know a few people watched.
But I have not heard any bad things about.
I just couldn't bring myself to it.
It's just to me.
It's.
I didn't even get into the Burton film.
I thought it was okay.
I'm just kind of.
I'm just kind of hell on a bottom cardered out.
What's even in that one?
Yes.
I remember Christina Richi being.
She was the older lady of it.
I don't even think I ever got all the way through it.
I think I was okay.
You were listening to the clubhouse live every Sunday night.
Seven Eastern for Pacific.
If you miss any section of the show.
It is available on archive.
Almost immediately after we go off there.
Also, make sure you subscribe to this show on iTunes.
Because if you don't, you missed stuff.
I'm just saying.
And there's going to be more stuff.
You're going to miss coming this week.
Big.
Big iTunes exclusive coming this week.
I'm looking very forward to doing to a movie that we're going to see.
I'm going to see Wednesday night.
I don't know if you've made your RSDP yet.
I have no idea what started.
Hold on a second.
I'm going to meet the mics.
Okay.
We're back.
Let's move into person of interest, which is a segment we do on this show.
Where we take a person or an entity and we debate their greatness or lack their of.
The pension on the swings back to Chad this week.
Got into watching the Avengers again.
And who could blame me?
Because movies 18 different shades of awesome.
One of my top five superhero movies of all time.
And you get to the end.
You get to the Stanley cameo and it always gives you a gigal.
I still like it when he played half an Iron Man 2.
But that's one or two.
I think that was one.
I was one because he was going to party.
I think that was the where the vanity fair line came from.
Then after that.
And that where he.
No, that's where he met her.
Right.
At that party.
But I'm doing that.
And uh.
Jewels and I got to talk in about it.
And I was like, I want to have much money he's making.
Doing these films because I know he gets an executive producer credit.
Um.
So that's who I'm focusing on.
The POI for this week is Stanley.
So great Stanley.
Somebody that has had a huge influence over both of our lives.
Also currently is the voice of Mayor Stan on.
Hulk in the agents of Smash.
Which I am really suffering through.
Oh, is it?
And Dini's an executive producer.
Oh, man.
It's just.
The the angle they're using on it is.
Wait.
Dini's on it.
Yeah.
I thought Dini was strictly a DC guy.
Hmm.
Wow.
Okay.
Tim kind of more is.
But.
Um.
It's it's hard.
Because the way they're approaching it is.
Like it's a reality show.
So cut away to them talking to a camera.
And there's always a little camera drones at follow them everywhere they go.
But the duck shoot plays the she Hulk.
So.
Okay.
You know.
Well, I went digging.
Little research on how much money he's pulling in for his little cameyels.
And how much money he makes off the.
Marvel cinematic universe.
That nearly as much as you would think.
I'm not sure with our friends.
And in fact, it it from what I'm gathering.
It's like he's still in debt.
Are you kidding me?
No.
I mean, whenever he.
Whenever Marvel.
Darn their folded.
Um.
It was going under.
I mean, you remember that.
Huh?
When the marble was practically.
I do was practically bankrupt.
And he had to sign over the rights to all these characters.
Just keep himself out of the.
You know, out of the poor house.
So from the way it sounds.
He's like barely breaking even.
Really.
Yeah.
You know, like he got an ass in an interview.
Um.
About how much he got paid for.
Um.
The Avengers.
And he said, I hate to admit this.
But I don't share in the movies profits.
I just share in the interviews and in the glamour.
And the people saying, wow, I love that movie stand.
But I'm not a participant in the profits at all.
I don't know how to say this, but to say it.
Maybe it's because I am an outsider looking in.
But wouldn't one think that someone like Robert Downey Jr.
might go to Marvel and go, hey.
Yeah.
That's kind of what I was 50 million off this deal.
And the dude a bone.
If because if it weren't for him, this role wouldn't exist.
Right.
Yeah.
As most of the Marvel cinematic universe is.
Well, uh, the common, the common school of thought is that he created all these characters as,
quote unquote, work for higher.
Which means.
Which they were contractors back.
Yeah.
It which means he has no rights to them as an artist.
He only gets what he negotiated for way back from decades ago.
Which was probably Jack Squad.
Yeah.
But that's the kind of the way things were back then.
Yeah.
It's just weird for me.
I don't know.
It's it's it's it's it's it's it's hard breaking is what it is because you see this guy.
Who is an absolute icon of the industry.
One of one of the true icons of the industry.
Agreed.
I mean this this man has been around since pretty much the inception of the art form.
But I also think a lot of people misconstrued to.
And from what you're telling me.
It kind of makes me rethink this.
A lot of people think he does these conventions because he just loves the conventions.
And I'm sorry to wonder if he's doing it because he has to possibly, you know.
Made you realize.
This is what's really going for you out.
Yeah.
December 28.
He turns 91.
Looks great.
But still he's got to do all that.
Yeah.
91.
After everything he's done after all that he's contributed.
And he said the other day that he doesn't have a cameo.
In days of future past.
Yeah.
Schedule.
That's right.
Did we talk about it on the show?
We did.
We did.
And there's news on that front.
I don't know how far ahead you've read.
No.
But there's news on the future of that franchise.
Hmm.
I'm saying.
Okay.
So we call it tease.
I guess I will skip too far ahead.
But just.
Oh, no.
You can skip ahead.
I'm not going to hide the run sheet.
No.
No.
We have news about that in movies.
I do like to keep things fresh as the natural flow goes.
But it's just something about this just seems so wrong.
I just can't believe that this guy isn't the Bill Gates of comics.
I agree.
There is something that.
It's borderline criminal in my opinion that if it weren't for this guy.
There would be no Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There would be no $2 billion mega franchise around the Avengers alone.
To heck with the other films that led to the Avengers.
Agreed.
Yes.
There also wouldn't be.
There also wouldn't be.
The bad ones.
Well, but.
You kind of have to tell.
That shows you how much input he has.
Think about how bad the fantastic floor was.
Lord.
Well.
On a.
From a website called celebsnetworth.net.
They're saying he's worth 200 million.
Okay.
That given.
Let me put it to you this way.
We know by now that.
Downey's payday on the Avengers was 50 million.
I was.
I don't know if it was over.
I don't.
It was all most.
Okay.
That's downy.
Right.
Since.
He created pretty much every character in that film.
In some form.
He either on his own or with help as a collaboration.
If Robert Downey juniors.
Or was 50 million.
He should have been 200 million by itself.
I can understand that.
But, you know, maybe that's just something that.
Maybe that's part of his problem.
Maybe he just doesn't lax negotiating power.
Or maybe he really doesn't have any leverage.
I speak English.
I promise.
It's just a weird thing.
Because I'm reading a book right now.
Slowly but surely called Billion Dollar Batman, which is literally about the history
of the brand.
And how it evolved over the years.
And, you know, with the whole Bob Kane, his involvement and everything else.
It's an interesting read.
Oh, I bet.
Because of the way comic book deals were done in the 30s, 40s and 50s.
It's different than it is now.
You know, you look at somebody like McFarlin.
And the deals he can strike 50 years ago.
You couldn't do that.
No.
Because comic books weren't seen as a viable form.
Back then, they were just a funny pages that kids paid a nickel for at the convenience store.
You know, they're really the comic book quote unquote collector.
Wasn't a thing.
Right.
Probably until starting in the 70s.
Right.
I mean, you think about recently about the story about the guy that's
remodeling the house.
Uh-huh.
And as filler in a wall, found actually comic snow number one.
And of course, his brother-in-law, someone ends up ripping a page.
Which kills the value of it.
I think it was his answer.
They still got money.
But it wasn't what it could have.
And that wasn't the only comic he found out.
People were using his insulation.
God Almighty.
And the fact that, you know, the, the, the, the, the war, the depression.
Yeah.
That, you know, the people were just using it as recyclable material and just like,
Oh God.
Yeah.
Don brings up the whole thing about, you know, the actors from the Star Wars films.
They just signed their like this.
What was it?
Carrie Fisher said every day I wake up.
I look in the mirror.
I got to pay George Lucas 20 bucks.
Something like that.
Yeah.
You know, but see, but that was Lucas being smart.
He was having four sites of, you know, what?
Marketing is where it's at.
Even though fact that even Fox was like, yeah, you can have the marketing, right?
So this is going to do anything.
And he's like, and now Disney's going.
You know, and as, as Lucas sleeps on his mattress full of billion dollar bills.
But it's an interesting read.
And it's an interdo your research.
Find out, you know, I mean, it's not like he's not doing well.
But it's just you think he should be doing.
A lot better.
Giving that he's a creative force behind these things.
And that he's been around.
It's gotten a fair amount of my money over the years.
And that he's got that he's the better part of a century old now.
And he just makes you want to hit something.
I know.
Plus, the, the, the, the added little tidbit that I, that I picked up on this week.
That was kind of funny on a lighter note.
For Stanley is that if any of you've played any of the Lego series of video games.
I was watching you do so last weekend.
Right.
And this was the one that we were playing Lego Marvel Superheroes.
Lego Marvel Superheroes.
Uh, you, in almost every one that they've ever had.
You're collecting gold bricks to, to build, you know, to build something.
But all the certain characters can use those gold, can hit those gold bricks.
Well, no, no, it's only certain characters can get into areas where they're accessible.
Okay.
Uh, but I think in lieu of gold bricks this time around.
You have to access an area where Stanley is being held.
So you have to rescue Stanley in every level of Marvel Superheroes.
Make sure you true believer I guess.
Exactly.
All right.

Who may or may not be in Mexico.
Right now.
We're not sure.
We've been some travel problems getting out of DFW.
And Jill's mom because wherever she wants to be, whenever she wants to be there.
Let's move on and go on campus.
I'm going to make a declaration on this show right now.
I am this close.
Uh-oh.
To not picking teams anymore.
And I'm going to explain in just a moment.
Because first of all, I want to talk about the coaching care cell.
Because it's already starting.
If you haven't been paying attention these last six days,
U.S.C. has hired Washington's coach,
Steve Sarkesian as their new head coach.
Which, you know, he was there before his insistent.
Okay, fine.
Here's your problem.
And that comes in the name of Ed Orgeron,
who's been working as the coach since Lane Kiffin was fired.
Uh-huh.
And they're like, no.
You're not going to coach anymore.
We're going to bring this other guy.
And we'll make you the highest paid assistant in the country.
He tells him to go pound Santa walks away.
I mean, you talk about as my mother used to say to me,
matter no wet hen.
This dude is mad.
I bet.
Also, we have movement, Boise State.
They've had a coaching change too.
Because there, uh,
I believe, let me just fold this up for you.
Uh, we have a computer problems here.
Chris Peterson, Boise State coach.
He's taking Sarkesian's place in Washington.
We haven't even started paying season yet, sir.
And the careous cell is already starting.
How many different forms of chaos can there be in college for?
What if I was said about BCS chaos?
Speaking of which,
I'm going to beat my head against this desk.
I am sick and tired of supporting and arguing teams
into the ground on this show.
And they make me look like an idiot.
That's we get in the scores.
Thursday night, number 19 Louisville.
Beats Cincinnati, 31, 24.
Most of these are going to be conference championship games.
Most of them, not all of them.
On Friday, bowling green.
Beats number 14 Northern Illinois, like a drum,
47 to 27 to win.
I believe that's the Mac Saturday.
We had Bedlam.
Bedlam's a week later than normal.
That's the Oklahoma Oklahoma State game.
Okay.
Played in still water this year,
but that doesn't matter because number 16,
up, number six, upset by number 17,
Oklahoma 33 to 24.
So a former coach of this show in front of the show,
Cody Hawkins will be happy with that.
Marshall loses to Rice, 41, 24.
Number 16, UCF just barely squeaks by SMU,
17 to 13.
Memphis gets drummed by Connecticut, 45 to 10.
In the big 12 championship,
number 25 Texas,
which that's got to be ranked on reputation alone
because they haven't been that good.
You want to know why I know they haven't been that good,
because Baylor number nine beats them 30 to 10
in the big 12 championship.
Mac Brown.
She's getting a warning.
And let me tell you something.
We live in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Do we not?
Yes, we do.
The University of Texas isn't Texas correct?
Yes.
Why is it?
When I'm watching Jeopardy on Friday,
they have a little blurb for the fan,
which is the local sports station.
And their sports show.
Can't spell Mac Brown right.
It's MAC Brown.
There's a K on the end of it.
Oh, God.
I rewound my DVR.
While I was watching Jeopardy just make sure I saw that right.
Yikes.
Get it right, man.
This is not a South Korean airline crew.
Oh, God.
You're 180 miles away from that school.
Wow, sir.
That's jacked up.
Am I wrong?
No.
But this is hardly something wrong worth it.
But that's what I'm just saying.
Like, on a certain level,
you forgive that because,
okay, it's a different continent.
Yeah.
This is, you know,
if you flew there would be bull,
the captain turned up a seat belt sign.
Bull, the captain turned a seat belt sign back on.
Like, that's how quick that flight is.
If you flew to San Antonio,
just that we were leveling off.
We were landing.
Idiots.
Miss Zoo in the SEC championship number five.
Boy, you want to talk about a defensive battle that wasn't there.
Auburn wins.
59 to 42.
Good Lord.
Sucks to have the under.
My beloved South Florida bulls get beat by Rutgers 31 to 6.
Stanford number seven beats Arizona State number 1138 to 14.
And the ACC championship.
Florida State number one team in the country.
Be to do 45 to seven.
Duke, you're ranked number 20.
We just remind you of that.
I also want to remind you that my beloved Florida Gators,
who aren't even bowelsable for the first time in 23 years.
Lost by less than that.
We put 17 on the board and they scored less points.
South Alabama 30 to 8 over Ula La and Fresno State 24 to 17 over Utah State.
Now let's get to the reason you called.
All season long.
I have picked up the mantle.
I have defended this opinion.
I have stood by this as recently as seven days ago on this show.
I have defended this.
Ohio freaking state number.
I said the number two team in the country.
I've said it since August.
They were they won 24 games in a row.
And then you go out and you lose the Michigan State 34 to 24.
So number 10 Michigan State upsets Ohio State in the big 10 championship.
So bark this state because I'm only going to say this one time.
We know Florida State's going to be in the national championship game.
I'm going to take a drink because I have a horrible taste in my mouth.
But the question is who are they going to play?
Who do you want to see them play?
What's up with the rankings right now?
Because we're going to have official announcements to the bulls by the time we get off air.
But we're going to do our official bullpick show next week.
Because the heisen is coming this coming Saturday the 14th.
So who would you rather see them play?
I want to look at the rankings right now because the BCS is not yet.
Florida State is at the top of both the AP and these are updated today.
The AP and the USA.
Both of them have Florida State won Auburn 2 Alabama 3 Michigan State 4.
USA today's got Baylor at five AP has Stanford at five.
I mean, I can't debate that the Florida State should be the number one to rank team in the country.
Strength is schedule. I still find sketchy.
But they went undefeated.
And it's a mediocre year anyway.
I mean, this has been a media and we said we talked about this at length on this show last week.
How a mediocre year for college football this is.
Oh, yes.
That's right. Don's as Fox and Hound is next week. So we may have to do an extra show at some point.
Okay.
Auburn has rights.
Which sounds weird to me because going into this season.
I really didn't think that Auburn was going to be much.
But they've got rights. They won the SEC.
Most complete conference of college football. They won it.
They ran the comment.
I think that's, I think that's the match of everybody wants to see regardless.
If Auburn doesn't beat Alabama, we don't have this discussion.
True.
But they did.
But they did.
But that's also Alabama's only lost.
But Auburn wins the conference because they beat Alabama and may win the division.
Right.
I won't be surprised to see if Pasadena has Florida State Auburn.
And I can't give you a winner in that right now.
Because I don't know that Florida State has a defense that's been tested.
And I don't mean that they can't play.
I mean that's been tested.
I mean, we can run down Florida State schedule.
Uh, pit.
Nevada.
Bethune Cookman.
Boston College.
Maryland was ranked 25 at the time.
Clemson who was ranked number three. And that might have been a fluke.
As far as Clemson didn't beat that bad.
NC State.
Miami.
Miami. I'll give you.
Wake Forest on ranked Syracuse on ranked Idaho on ranked Florida on ranked.
Duke might have been a little overrated.
I might give you two decent defenses on that list.
Russ is saying that the sources are saying for state Auburn.
The ratings are going to be in the toilet.
Just because there's not that that sizzle factor to it.
Because I think there's a lot of people that still aren't sold on Florida State.
But I can't deny that they're the number one team in the country.
Right.
But that's like being.
I don't want to.
I don't want to say this to be demeaning.
But I don't.
It's like being the prettiest girl in ugly contest right now.
They're good.
They've got.
Their quarterback is going to win.
Thank you.
Uh, yes.
PN Sports Center.
That quarterback's going to win the high's been trophy.
This Winston as it was announced on Thursday will not be charged in the sexual assault case.
Wow.
He wins the high's man.
Yeah.
He wins the high's man.
There's just.
There's nothing.
That's going to say otherwise.
And that would be presented Saturday night.
And as far as his guilt arena since I don't know enough about the case to make a judgment.
But it's been.
There's been a lot of criticism about the way that case has been handled.
I just, I don't know how the ratings are going to be for this thing.
Now, if you live in Tallahassee or.
You know, Albert Alabama.
There won't be a soul not watching it.
No.
And I have to pin my hopes on Auburn to keep the SEC National Championship streak alive.
And I don't know how I feel about that.
I still think AJ McKeren should be at least be in the.
Until that last play in the Auburn Alabama game, AJ McKeren was your leading.
He was he was neck and neck with James Winston for the husband.
Now it's not even close.
And I feel back because I like AJ McKeren.
There it is.
I felt that kid just watched him walk off the field after the Auburn game.
This is the Iron Bowl.
This is what we do, kids.
All right.
Let's get into the other side of the coin.
Let's talk in a fell.
I think they're nuts sound right there.
The world wide march.
God bless you NFL films.
Gary Kubiak fired his coach of the Houston Texans.
Wow.
After they win their first two games and haven't won a game since.
But then he had that small stroke and that took him out.
But Wade Phillips is your interim head coach.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
With Houston Texans.
Oh, no.
Let's talk about week 14.
Good luck speaking of the Texans Thursday.
They lose.
They lost the Jacksonville Thursday nights or 27 to 20.
That'll do it.
Oh, God.
I don't do it today.
The Jets beat Oakland trying to stay alive in the AFCE.
Which.
By the way, I don't know if you know this, but going into today.
29 of the 32 teams were still mathematically in the playoff picture.
Wait, how many 29 of 32 going into a week 14?
29 of the 32 teams in the NFL were all at least in the hunt for the playoffs.
Help.
How bad do you feel if you're one of the three that are.
Well, I can tell you two of them because we just talked about him.
Houston and Jacksonville.
Okay.
Indy gets drummed by Cincinnati today 42 to 28.
Geez.
Billy and a game.
If you have not watched footage from this game as soon as we get off the air, go watch some of the footage from this game today.
People were saying on Facebook.
Is there a game going on?
Because I feel like I'm watching TV in the 70s.
Because all I see is snow.
There was a meteorologist that said in Philly,
they were getting two to three inches of snow per hour in this game.
So it's just a new ice ball.
And Detroit goes to Philly and loses 34 to 20.
My dolphins win again.
Don's arguing that there's a conspiracy against his Steelers.
Oh dear Lord.
I need to go back and see the footage.
But Miami wins 34 to 28 at the very end of the game.
This game came down to the wire.
And they're still in the hunt for the playoffs.
If my dolphins make the playoffs, you will see the happy dancer.
That will happen.
New England beats Cleveland at the buzzer 2726.
Kansas City over Washington.
The woes for the Washington football team.
Because I'm on board with this now.
I'm on board with the name thing.
I'm going to call him the Washington football team.
There are there's a lot of members of the media that are not referring to that team by their name.
Because of the controversy that has been embroiled now.
But they're calling it the Washington.
They're calling the Washington football team because they will not say the name of the team.
And I'm talking about people like Peter King from Sports Illustrated.
Like these aren't like Joe Bob Smith from the South Dakota star.
Like these are like prominent people in the media.
This thing's coming to a head start within the next year.
Because even Daniel Snyder starting to bend a little bit.
But Mike Shanahan's woes continue as they lose to Kansas City.
45 to 10.
Oh my god.
Baltimore,
Edge is out in Minnesota 2926.
Green bait 22 21 over Atlanta.
So green bait holding on but not by much.
My buck in here is beat up on the Buffalo bills.
But that again, who doesn't 27 to six.
That's what's about to say.
Denver has a tying record kick today.
67 yard field goal in the first half.
They would go on to beat Tennessee 51 28.
And the Broncos are the first team to solidify a playoff spot today.
67 yard trade golly.
But it's Denver though.
I mean you're going to get that extra home because the air soaked them.
Imagine if Sebastian Janikowski played for the Broncos.
He'd be kicking.
He'd be kicking field goals from the parking lot.
I can not doubt.
But say people be winding up with souvenirs.
They were out tailgating.
Arizona over St. Louis 30 to 10.
The woes in Arizona can see the woes in Arizona continue.
I still think there is St. Louis 1's up back in LA.
Because they beat the L.A. Ramskin.
San Diego beats up on the Giants, which I know makes you happy.
37 to 14.
Yes.
Makes me very happy.
San Francisco trying to get back in this thing.
Basically playing back to back weeks again Seattle.
They were in Seattle last week.
They're at home this week.
They win 19 to 17 tonight.
Carolina at New Orleans.
This sir will be a game.
You know, I didn't realize that this was their last year.
Candlestick.
Yeah.
And we're going to talk about something very important with that.
Coming up in Rustam talk.
Because I was listening to it on the way over here.
And where they're building that stadium is.
It's like almost an hour away from Santa Clara.
I'm excited.
God.
That's going to rip the heart out of that community.
And tomorrow night sir, you've got a choice to make.
No, if I'm going to be over here.
Well, do we push raw to Tuesday?
Because tomorrow night your Dallas Cowboys are at the Chicago Bears.
I know.
We're going to need to see what the DVR looks like.
Because if my wife's taping a bunch of stuff, we may not have a choice but to watch wrong.
This is true.
But that's tomorrow night.
Let's look forward by the way, sir, the week 15.
Next week.
Already.
That must be that's the thing about the NFL.
That's why I love football so much.
It's not.
We're not playing 162 games.
Every game counts.
It's like they talk about people want to college football.
Playoff system.
It's the regular season.
Because you lose ones in college football brother.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's talk about Thursday night.
San Diego at Denver.
This could be a better game than a lot of people think well.
But the problem is, San Diego plays so skit so.
You can never figure him out.
Trying to keep a blind eye on what's going on with the closures here in a local Dallas
Fort Worth area tomorrow.
So I see my wife has to go to work.
She doesn't teach school.
But I got to watch.
I see closures.
It's crazy.
At least you can watch something and let her know.
Next Sunday.
Buffalo at Jacksonville.
Oh dear Lord have mercy on my soul.
Break out the no does.
San Francisco at Tampa Bay.
The question here is going to be which Tampa Bay team shows up.
I mean, they're going to be at home.
So there's that.
Seattle will be at the Giants.
New York's going to get drum.
Yeah.
I'm thinking.
But this is also the time of the year where the Seattle meltdown starts.
Philly will be at Minnesota.
This game could go either way.
I just again, it depends on which Minnesota team shows up.
New England at my dolphins.
If we can pull this off, I will be so happy.
Because it's not like New England's playing that kind of football that makes people
go.
Oh crap.
Here come the Patriots.
No, they're really not.
Houston at Indy.
This won't be this won't be pretty.
No.
This won't be pretty at all.
Chicago at Cleveland.
This is this is a game that could go either way.
Washington at Atlanta.
You're going to be drummed again.
Washington.
Because Atlanta's trying to get into playoffs.
I don't know if they're going to succeed.
But they're trying off.
We'll talk on hard.
The Jets are at Carolina.
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but let's go Cam Newton.
Wow.
Kansas City at Oakland.
I don't care what the line is.
Bet your house on the chiefs.
New Orleans at St. Louis double the line and still bet your house.
On the on the Saints.
Where are we out here?
We're good.
Arizona at Tennessee.
I'm not going to go either way on that.
Yeah.
Green Bay.
We had Dallas in the late afternoon game next next Sunday.
So we're going to see how that works out for you.
You're night game next Sunday.
The Bengals at Pittsburgh.
That might be a good game to watch.
I'm going to have to keep a blind eye on that when we're.
Yeah.
I'll rush out my night.
I happy joy.
Dance of joy reference.
And next Monday night.
Baltimore at Detroit.
I don't know how to predict this game.
Because neither one of these teams are playing consistent football.
Baltimore is coming on strong the way to the season goes.
But Detroit.
I just you can't.
It looks like that the ISD is not going to be.
Be close tomorrow because it looks like they passed it.
But we'll take you look again.
But Detroit.
I just I can't predict them.
You just can't.
Russell says he got a bunch of z's in the chair room.
So there's that.
Let us move on because we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Let's go to the other side of the coin.
Do little entertainment talk.
Let's talk about music.
Grammy nominations came out the other day.
Jay Z gets nine.
He is leading the pack.
But this guy right here.
What did you explain this to me, sir?
Timberlight gets seven.
He was just in town the other night.
But none of them are for song of the year record of the year or album of the year.
He gets shut out in the three major categories and he put out two albums.
Well, I don't know if this second one qualifies because I don't know what the cutoff time is for the Grammys.
But still he's got that much product in the marketplace.
This song can't get nominated.
Are you kidding me?
I mean, this is basically his side of the times.
We have a special guest in the chat room, ladies and gentlemen.
Brent Peoples is joined us really in between his world travels.
That's one of the bad boys of comics.
Who's been, they've been doing some things lately, sir.
It's good to see you little brother.
But how does he not get nominated for any of the big three?
I don't get that at all.
But this is the Grammys or stupid.
You know what?
I can't argue the logic there.
Also with seven nominees, Maclimor and Ryan Lewis and Kendrick Lamar.
Also get seven nominations.
A lot of people confused right now because this Lordist does not get nominated for best new artist.
She's a young one.
She's like 17 or 18, I think, which he's a big deal right now.
Oh, Lordist LLU are not not that one.
It's not her.
Okay, she's a lot older than that.
She's in her 20s by now.
Is she?
Also though, the Miley Cyrus, not one nomination.
Now the album didn't come out till after the cutoff point, but she had two singles out this year.
Before the album, completely got one nomination.
But she's an artist and she's going to express herself on a dear Lord.
No, Brent Peoples is an artist.
That he is.
And we have proof of that in this studio.
So sweet too.
And it is we are way overdue for a Brent Peoples appearance in this studio.
I'm just saying.
Put it out there.
That was subtle.
And in news that I know Chad's going to be extremely excited about.
Our Kelly is on the Arsenio Hall show this week.
By the way, almost for the entire hour.
Oh boy, what a thrill.
I won't say never, but it's been a long time since I've seen a worse lip sync job.
And this guy did.
For his song, shut up.
Which you were hoping he was going to do at some point.
Well, he starts out this podium where it looks like there's all these like news.
Microphones with the little thing.
But if there's one right in the middle that doesn't happen, I'm like, oh, well, that's probably going to be the one he's called.
Singing into.
And I am, you know, the loving talented Mrs. Durman.
I actually watched watching this together.
And I said, you know what?
He did this album right here, 12 play.
He has been chasing this album for 20 years.
And he hasn't matched it.
I don't care what anybody says.
He has not matched the greatness of this album.
Ever.
This album beginning to end is strong.
Well, there are tons of artists to do that.
Excellent question, Brent.
And I said the same thing.
It just, yeah.
But he says more trapped in the closet coming next year.
To the tune of about 20 more chapters.
Why?
How long is this guy going to be stuck in there?
Somebody's got to go to work at some point.
I hate this guy.
I really do.
I can't stand.
And plus he wore sunglasses the whole time.
And you know how much that annoys me.
Oh, yeah.
No, I will say there was one lyric in this shut-up song that I found kind of funny.
And I don't know.
I can't say it word for word because I remember he said something about.
But y'all can't say that there's a lot of babies that weren't created because of my albums.
I'm just, I'm just showing statistics.
And I thought that was kind of funny.
You know, that may be true.
But then he, but see, here's the thing he says about you know,
he's given glory to God.
And I wanted to say,
Dude, you did a song called Feel on your booty.
Okay.
Let's not get it twisted.
And let's, let's not go into detail about thee.
Yeah.
What was referenced in the chat room.
Yeah.
I just, but he's got his new album comes out Tuesday.
I want to give glory to God with my new album called Black Panis.
And if you buy the special edition of pair of Panis comes with it.
God, I'm not hitting you.
God.
This is it.
Oh, God.
Just go away our calendar.
I wish I was lying.
I, I really do.
Kind of yamo burn this.
Russ says Lord is is 17 and she's from New Zealand.
So probably not the Madonna offspring.
But also new release in your,
to be the other side of that coin.
Your other big new release this week in your local wherever you get music from.
The new album from childish Gambino called because of the internet.
And if you don't know who childish Gambino is.
He's the,
I just, I just lost his name.
He plays Troy on community.
Come.
I'm willing to go out on the limb here and think in that that's probably how most people are going to get this album.
Because of the internet.
I think that's probably why you call it that.
Because this is only the second,
this is only the second album he's done.
That's been released in stores.
It's first to get free online on his website.
He was on our scenario.
Donald Glover is his.
Yeah, about to say.
Donald Glover is.
I thought it was something.
Who will not be on community this year?
I'm all upset about that.
But that's right.
Why are we not getting more big album releases right now?
It's the holiday season for goodness sake.
I don't know.
Very confused by this.
This is such a good album.
I'm curious, but he says.
Such a great album.
Is this not the second arc Kelly song you've played under in the show?
What do you have?
What do you have?
That song's terrible.
Why did you play it?
Because it had to do with what we were talking about.
Yeah, because you know, Princeton didn't do a Batman album or anything.
Danny Elf and didn't do a show.
But the show is called Gotham for God's sake, man.
But it's a crap song.
But it's called Gotham.
But it's called Gotham.
I'm just saying.
Let's talk her and keep.
Can't argue that logic.
We're not exists.
I'm sorry.
Have we just met?
No.
Okay.
Just making sure.
Not much going on from news in the NHL, but we are going to talk.
I don't like this whole two divisions per conference thing.
It's just weird for me.
I'm still going to use to it.
Let's go to the Western Conference in the Pacific Division.
Edmonton.
Twenty three points.
They are 22 points out of first place.
There are three points behind the Calgary flames.
Calgary is 11 points behind Vancouver.
Vancouver is tied with Phoenix.
Los Angeles with 42 points.
They are 1 point behind San Jose.
But Anaheim leads the division with 45 points.
They've 1 to straight.
In the Western Conference Central Division.
So you have a Pacific in a central.
You don't have.
Didn't you think there'd be a third one to balance that?
Yeah.
Nashville.
Twenty nine points.
They are 16 points out of first place with a peg.
It's three points better than them.
Your Dallas stars sir.
33 points are 12 points out of first place.
There are five two and three in their last 10.
Oh God.
But that seems like a better team than this.
We may have an opportunity to go to a game next week.
We need to check it out for the show.
We may have an opportunity.
Really?
I got an email.
Okay.
Minnesota is two points ahead of Dallas.
Colorado is five points out.
St. Louis four points behind the Chicago Blackhawks with 45 points.
The Chicago's lost their last three straight.
Into the Eastern Conference.
The Metropolitan Division.
The New York Islanders.
They are 20 points out of first place.
They've lost their last nine game straight.
The Metropolitan Division.
They're calling it Columbus.
It is six points ahead of them.
Philly is one point ahead of them.
Jersey and Carolina are in the middle of the pack.
But Carolina is tied with the New York Rangers at 31 points.
Washington at 32.
But Washington in second place in the division is still nine points behind Pittsburgh.
Who leaves the Metropolitan Division.
In the Atlantic Division.
The Buffalo Sabres.
Sabres.
14 points.
Buffalo is 27 points out of the league.
Sure you enjoy that sir.
Yes.
My Florida Panthers are nine points better than them.
But they are four points behind Oderwa.
Toronto and Tampa Bay middle of the pack.
Detroit is four points out of first place.
Boston.
One point behind the Montreal Canadian.
That's what's going on in the NHL.
But you know what starts this coming weekend.
24 seven HBO getting ready for the winter classic.
Oh yeah.
So what's the winter classic?
You know I've never watched it.
Really?
I've never watched so much fun.
Watching Ron Burgundy on the damn Patrick show.
You know he was supposed to host sports center.
And it got pre-empted because of the whole James Winston thing.
They gave the cancel the appearance because they were carrying in that press conference
live.
Okay.
That is NHL talk.
We are going to move on.
You are listening to the clubhouse live every Sunday night.
70s are in for Pacific.
Next week is a very very big show.
Very big.
If you listen to the beginning of the show, you might think, hey wait a minute.
Isn't that near something?
You're going to find out next week.
Let us do some wrestling talk.
So I saw this first story.
I'm very interested in this.
WWE in a few years has really been releasing a lot of documentary DVDs and things that
it's nature like.
They've just now releasing their 50th anniversary.
The 20th anniversary of Monday Night Raw.
But they're going to be doing a music of WWE DVD next year.
They're doing 25 of their best theme songs with the stories behind them and how they connect
with the superstars.
Is this something you'd be interested in sir?
Absolutely.
I'm on board with this.
Because they haven't put out the list of who's going to be involved.
But I've heard some stories about how certain guys get their music.
They put like two or three choices in front of them.
I'm kind of really, really interested in how this works.
Very interested.
Well, okay.
We know that.
What's the Jim Johnston?
Yes.
Has been the author behind the majority of the chunk of the current crowd.
He's the guy that came up with the broken glass.
Right.
So he did the majority of the attitude aero stuff and the stuff that's a little bit more
recent.
But if I remember correctly, wouldn't Mr. Mouth the South responsible for the earlier stuff?
Jimmy Hart was very, very deeply and entrenched in the early stuff.
And a lot of the WWCW stuff.
Right.
So, so I'm wondering, are we going to, you know, get both of these guys?
You know, brains picked for this thing?
I'm hoping.
Or are they just going to put it on?
Because this is John's heart on a leg and legends deal anyway?
I don't know.
That's what I was curious about.
I mean, because I don't know how well some of these folks left WWF to go have WCW.
They still own it anyway.
Well, I'm just, I'm just saying, you know, are they, would he be willing to go on camera
with him anymore?
We'll see.
I guess he's shown up for stuff fairly recently.
Also, WrestleMania 31's location has been pretty much announced.
It's not, it's not set in stone, but sources inside the organization are saying.
WrestleMania 31 will be in Santa Clara, California, the home with a new 49er stadium.
And the raw and Hall of Fame ceremonies will be in San Jose.
32 is supposed to be announced at the same time.
Which is supposed to be here.
32, the strong rumors are Dallas.
Still not holding my breath.
I'd love to see it happen, but I'm still not holding my breath.
So there is that.
Let's talk about raw shall we?
Let me ask you something about, we talk about tons of funk.
Which you have to say, very, very, you have to, a nonsigate that.
Can the mass maniacs sue them for gimmick infringement?
There's probably tons of guys in the NFL that do what they do.
Not just the NBA, but the NFL.
Yeah, tons of guys in the NFL before the mass maniacs did what they did in the NBA.
What, the guys, the mass maniacs are like the first ones that really do that bit on, on the field of play.
I mean, a lot of, like, I know the Texas legends have their own version now,
which is the deeling team.
Well, you know, I think about the dog pound, and I think about the hogs and guys.
But they're not parts of the organization.
They're just fans that own season tickets.
Now the hogs are retired.
Oh, that's right.
They have retired, haven't they?
I always found that bit creepy.
I did too.
And as we were watching the shield cut their promo,
what all the light lamps and tables all stacked up.
Was that in a big lots where they were cutting that promo?
What was going on there?
Oh, Brent says that he hung out with the godfather and Ted D.B.
I see this weekend.
Good lord.
Well, it's a place, sir.
I like the picture that didn't happen.
Besides, how does that pick not get posted?
But it would be not tagged in it.
Shame on you, Brent.
And I don't know what we're doing with this way.
Bad news, Barrett thing.
But first of all, he gets his own podium.
And it says hashtag bad news, Barrett.
And then he talks.
And then there's his grab it.
Boom.
That comes on the screen.
It's hashtag bad news, Barrett.
It's horrible.
And it's so bad.
We had to do it twice.
He has not been relevant since Nexus.
And I'm telling you something else.
They did it twice on SmackDown too.
Oh, for the love of God.
And it's just like, are you kidding me?
Wow.
Brent people's ladies and gentlemen.
And this is normally the one segment he tunes out on.
Oh, I just want to say that for the record.
Thank you, Brent.
And no, we can't share that on the hand.
No.
No.
Good God.
This is why you participated in the chat.
And we're there.
Wow.
But yeah, this bad news, Barrett things.
Yes, it is.
And you can't be saying there and going, yeah, that would well.
That one about us, well, this dead man down did.
But you know, he was a huge part of that film.
Part of the, part of the huge blockbuster dead man in May 10 bucks that opening weekend.
Was it Bobcat, go through it, so the Boba top show.
Let me tell you something.
My movies have made thousands of dollars.
Let's move on and talk a little bit of DNA headlines.
So we talked on this show a few weeks ago about how WWE wants to build their Hall of Fame at City Walk in Orlando.
Well, the soundstage that sits at City Walk is soundstage 19.
Guess what's being filmed.
Oh, no.
Stop. Stop it.
I'm not kidding you.
This is where, in fact, it's taking.
Oh, my God.
Dixie walked up.
I read this story and almost fell off my couch.
That is funny because that's the only soundstage that sits on the City Walk property
because universal owns that City Walk thing.
But that's where impact is tape right now.
Geez.
And they're saying expectant announcement regarding that sometime this week.
Oh, God.
I also read this week.
They're taping impact almost a month.
And we're going to talk about that here in a minute.
As we talk about impact, I just read that story about lost Michael.
You know, we talked in this show last week about how they're taping segments out of order over a three day period.
So as not to leak things at the internet, I don't know how that affects anything.
It's going to get linked anyway if it doesn't.
But I, it is providing you this in great comedy.
Oh, because because from sexual impact.
Well, here's the thing, from segment to segment, the audience change.
Oh, geez.
Because we're taping it over three days out of order.
So I'll be like, wait, that guy was there in the front row.
There's certain people that we talked about last week on the show that I was like,
oh, I've missed seeing them because they were people that were there all the time.
But they're in different seats and then wearing different clothes.
But I'm like, this is comedy for me.
And my wife even noticed that she's like, what, didn't I?
Yeah, yes, I didn't.
Just don't.
Wow, she didn't pick up on it.
She did pick up on it.
She was decorating the house while I was watching impact.
My god.
I mean, because she called, geez.
Yeah.
And moment of the night goes to sting.
He's going to talk to Kurt Angle before his match.
And they've appointed an executive director.
This rock star spud guy who won their version of tough enough over in the UK.
Uh-huh.
He's about five, too.
Okay.
And he's like, and like, he's given a bunch of grief.
He's like, and you're here to see Mr. Angle.
He's like, and you are, and he goes, I'm sting.
Maybe you've heard my albums.
Oh.
It's the first time I've ever heard him acknowledge that.
I was, I was wondering if that's ever been a thing.
That's funny.
I'm like, you know what?
Okay.
Now I'm good.
When you have lost a feed, it's just like busted into.
It's probably me or if I release my feed thing.
Oh.
Who would have made it?
Who wouldn't even have fun or do you feel like, remember?
I'm like, short spiky hair.
I'm like, oh, god.
You had cardiac arrest.
Don says that.
Yeah.
Because we're talking about impact.
Don says they've already taped a January second episode.
I stumbled.
I was trying to avoid spoilers.
I know what happens with the final resolution tournament.
I know what happens with the TNA world title.
And you still don't care.
It's, it's a move that.
And I don't want to give spoilers in case.
There's one of our listeners cares about impacts.
But it's a move that made me go.
You better hope this pays off.
It's all I'm saying.
It's my dad.
And how is it?
Because they talked about how they're having this tournament for the TNA with AJ taking off and
what not.
How does the NCAA not own the copy right on the phrase final four?
Because they used it up one wall and down the other on impact.
Because you had your final four participants.
Because final resolution is this Thursday on impact where they'll have the final two
for the, for the World Heavyweight title.
And they're walking out really thin line.
But I've heard other people use it.
How does the NCAA not own the copy right?
I don't know.
It seems like so that they don't have a lockdown.
So I read this next story and found it very strange.
Alberto Del Rio is planning on retiring over the next two to three years.
Really?
And so I see him punk.
I mean, I guess they've spent enough time in the business.
But it didn't just hit the big time.
I see him like they've been in the spotlight that long.
And also creative.
It does want to turn tons of funk feel but not the funk adaptals.
Because of this total divest thing and total divas got renewed for season two.
So we may be breaking the funk adaptals off from tons of funk.
What is that?
The only benefit that comes out of this heel turn for me is that maybe we get
Brodist to dump this gimmick.
I doubt it.
Because this now that he's wearing like the foam.
Try serotops scales on his back.
This is getting ridiculous.
Try serotops and then scales.
What is it?
Stegosaurus.
Stegosaurus.
I was never a big dinosaur guy.
Shame on you.
I liked that.
But I wasn't the Ross Geller of real life when I was a kid.
It was I.
But I was done.
Never mind.
We're going to completely dilute this conversation.
And it news that probably couldn't make you more happy.
That ain't Sincara sir.
Vince owns the gimmick.
So they've got some it was who it was Unico.
That was under the under the mask on Monday night.
The dude that was Sincara.
He's back in Mexico.
That might be the ball game.
Wow.
I read that.
What a horrible investment that turned out to be.
Let's talk about SmackDown speaking.
Which because I did sit through that.
So we're going to show footage.
They actually showed the SmackDown opening on WWE 2K 14.
Which was kind of cool.
I still don't understand why we can't get eyeballs in the inside.
The people's mouths writing video games.
But that's just me.
But why is it when you go to show the display?
You have to have a display case art thing at the end of it.
Why is it the PS3?
Am I bogging down in Manusha?
Do we not have it available for the PS4 or the Xbox One?
No.
Okay.
There would be why then.
Yeah.
Because I was like, we can't show one of the new currency.
No.
They didn't do it for the next year for the current speaking of which.
This past Tuesday on the Steve Austin show was the Daniel Bryan interview.
And if you remember, he's on the inside cover as the fan art.
Right.
And he said not only did that win domestically in one internationally too.
So the European version is the same way.
Oh, nice.
So great interview with him.
Great interview with him.
Good chance.
A Thursday was taz.
And I think that interview was way too short.
And remember, the Thursday Steve Austin show is the unleashed show.
So don't play that around the kids.
Yeah.
But I thought that the taz interview should have been a two partner.
He could have gone a long time on that interview.
Uh, so we find out that Shawn Michaels will be presenting superstar of the year.
I think this is where we start the angle of him versus Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30.
Because remember, it started hell in the cell.
Were you superkicking a Bryan?
Whenever we got to the bottom of that.
Right.
So I think that's what's going to happen here.
Because I am hearing rumors that it will be Shawn versus Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30.
And you know what?
This Roman Reigns thing.
He is really starting to come into his own on these promos.
The promo he cut on SmackDown because CM Punk had to wrestle one of the shield.
Since he's resting all three of them at the paper of the next week.
Uh-huh.
And Roman Reigns was front and center in that promo.
And his charisma is really starting to show through.
Good.
Because that was the one thing I was that kid.
I liked that kid.
That was the one thing I was the most unsure about with him.
And the other thing you might want to go check out.
I don't know if you can find on YouTube or I'm sure you can on the WWE channel.
They did a video package about the history of both belts.
That was really kind of neat.
So go look that up and we got a fair.
Okay.
Really, really good.
And that's pretty much all I got for wrestling talk.
But we do want to talk about next Sunday.
Because next Sunday for our big show.
We're next week.
That's a good point at Dampos.
They put the, they put, they don't want to be able to vote on the app for the new title name.
And then they don't use it.
Uh-huh.
Next week, Fox and Hal and Richardson Texas.
You're ready for TLC.
Which, you know what?
Getting a little fired up for this one.
Feeling good about this card.
We're going to get the rest of it.
I'm sure tomorrow.
It's got to be better than the last five bucks get you in the door.
Fox and Hal and Richardson Texas.
We'll be on the air at seven Eastern for Pacific with the one hour pre show leading you up to the final paper view of the year.
TLC tables ladders and chairs.
Probably my favorite poster of the year, too.
I like that poster too.
I like that one.
Come out and join us.
Great food and drink specials again.
Five bucks gets you in the door.
Come hang out with us.
We love to hang out with the Empire.
Please do.
And then the paper view will be on at eight Eastern.
So, looking forward to this one.
Gonna have some fun.
Next Sunday.
Richardson Texas.
Fox and Hal.
Just west of Central Expressway on Campbell Road.
Let's talk about the NBA.
Tonight Kobe makes his return.
At home.
See if there's a they'll be hosting the Toronto Raptors.
So, there's that.
You're seeing your standings.
Currently, let's go to the Western Conference.
We'll start in the Northwest Division.
Utah.
Where are we?
They are currently 14 games out of first place.
You're for an 18 Utah.
Really?
Minnesota is.
Six games better than them.
Denver's five out Oklahoma City.
Currently two games behind Portland Portland.
17 and four right now.
The trailblazers.
A lot of people are saying keep an eye on them.
If they can stay healthy.
They're 17 and four.
Yeah.
In the Pacific Division.
Sacramento 11 games out of first place.
But remember when Sacramento was somebody.
Long time ago.
The Lakers are five games better than them.
They are tied with Phoenix.
Golden State.
Five.
I'm sorry.
I'm totally.
Yeah.
What am I doing here?
I'm sorry.
Let me try that again.
Sacramento seven games out.
Yeah.
Who's rearranged the way they do these things?
It's very difficult to watch.
The Lakers.
Two games back.
Phoenix.
Two games back.
Golden State is one game behind the Clippers right now.
And in your division, sir.
The Memphis Grizzlies.
Six games back.
Ty with New Orleans.
Your Dallas.
Three games out of first place.
They're a game behind Houston.
Houston is two behind San Antonio.
San Antonio is 15 and four.
But your Dallas.
Mavericks have won their last three straight.
So there's.
And there's six and four in your last 10.
Right the ship.
Right the ship.
And the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference.
The New York Nicarbuckers.
Four games out.
Brooklyn and Philly are tied at three back.
Toronto.
Two back.
And Boston is leading the division right now.
A lot of up people.
With the Brooklyn Nets.
Jason, kid.
And his first year going from a player to being a coach.
The size to take assistant Larry Frank who has a lot of experience.
And has delegated him to the paperwork coach pretty much.
So good luck with that continued failure.
Because I like Larry Frank.
That and we're still really from soda gate.
The Milwaukee box.
Oh yeah.
You actually see him say hit me.
Stupid idiot.
Four and 16 for the Milwaukee box.
They will live on four games more than me.
What you know.
They're 14 out.
Cleveland.
Three ahead of them.
Chicago to ahead of them.
Detroit is eight back on Indiana by the way kids.
Did Indiana Paces are 18 and two right now.
Really?
Yep.
And then the only division that matters in the southeast division.
The Orlando Magic nine games back.
Charlotte and Washington six and Atlanta five games behind my beloved
Miami feet.
Who are eight and two and there last 10.
You can close for those Christmas day games.
I was all I can say about that really.
And then this both that happens.
Let us move on and do a little bit of movie talk.
And we start with a Viacone deus.
And this was really the best place that I could figure to do that.
Of all of our categories.
Because you can't.
You can't talk about this and not.
This can't have happened and that's not talk about it on the show.
Oh, absolutely.
Um.
Thursday.
I'm.
Braving the elements.
As I am.
Tending to do.
And uh.
Got to know the occasion.
I couldn't get a hold of you because you were off the grid.
That Nelson Mandela passed away at the age of 95.
And I was able to make it my way to your house.
So I could keep you updated.
Yeah.
My jaw hit the floor.
This is a man who.
To say he shaped a good portion of modern history.
Is an understatement.
He is an activist.
There'll be a movie coming out about his life in a couple of weeks.
Sorry.
The great.
Idris Alba.
That I'm looking very very forward to seeing called long work to freedom.
Catch that trailer if you get the chance.
Oh my god.
Because your jaw will hit the floor too.
He was president of South Africa after being released from prison.
Um.
There's a song written about that that was kind of a bit on a local sports station here for a while, which I actually have in my collection, but I wasn't going to play it during this segment.
It's it's it's not a bad song.
It's probably not appropriate for what we're talking about.
No.
95 years old.
And you talk about it got it aged well.
I did have a had a discussion with somebody that I know.
And the way I had to identify.
I had to let them know who Nelson Mandela was.
Was because he was portrayed by the great Morgan Freeman in Invictus, which is a movie if you have not seen it.
You need to see.
Been meaning to.
Oh, you you still haven't seen it.
I know.
Invictus is one.
A lot of people gave Matt Damon a lot of grief for that movie.
I thought he was fine.
He wasn't great.
He was fine.
But that's not what you want.
Why you watch this.
Morgan Freeman is Nelson Mandela is um.
I mean, you can't you if we start talking about this guy, we won't stop talking about this guy because he is he was an amazing individual.
He helped like I said, he helped end apartheid in South Africa, which was just do the research.
I mean, this man changed the course of history in that section of the world and he's a guy that if you're of our generation, you know who this is.
You have to know who exactly.
And so Nelson Mandela passes away at the age of 95.
Viacun deo sir, you will be missed.
That's not what I want.
I want that one.
Okay.
Box office numbers.
Remember, since the show is on Sunday, we bring you the whole weekend, not just today dropping out of the top 10 this week.
Last Vegas drops from 10 to 11.
Makes a total of $60 million on a $28 million budget.
So congratulations to them.
And blacknessivity drops out.
Makes 17.5 million dollar.
I'm sorry, makes 6.4 million dollars on a $17.5 million dollar budget.
I think that's all it dropped out.
So let's get into the top 10.
Number 10.
Up from 12 to 10, Dallas buyers club enters the top 10 with $1.5 million dollars for a six week total of 12 million dollars.
I do not have a budget.
Dropping from 8 to 9 is filimena $2.28 million dollars for a three week total of $8.2 million dollars.
Dropping from four to eight is the best man holiday.
$2.7 million dollars for a four week total of $67.2 million dollars on a $17 million dollar budget.
I don't remember.
Exactly.
The book thief stays strong a seven.
Go see this movie.
$2.7 million dollars for a five week total of $12 million dollars.
When to 82 more theaters.
So there's that.
Home front drops from five to six three point four million dollars for a two week total of 15.2 on a 22 million dollar budget.
The Vince Vaughan vehicle no pun intended delivery man up from six to five.
$3.8 million dollars lost $131 but bumped up in the ranks.
It's about over a million from budget.
$26 million dollars.
It's made just under 25.
For the dark world drops from the bronze medal to the fourth place.
So it's only dropped one spot with four point seven million dollars.
And that's after losing two hundred and twelve theaters.
Still hanging in there for a total of $193.6 million dollars on a one hundred and a seven million dollar budget.
And it's been released how long now five weeks.
Day viewing in the bronze medal is out of the furnace.
The brand new film with the Christian bail.
Five point three million dollars.
It's a twenty two million dollar budget.
So we're going to have to see how that works.
In the silver medal.
It got knocked off.
The hunger games catching fire drops from one to two with another twenty seven million dollars.
But I think they're going to be okay because in three weeks it's made three hundred and thirty six point seven million dollars.
Yeah, I think they'll manage to put food on the table.
We're talking them off the throne.
It is frozen thirty one point six million dollars for a three week total of a hundred and thirty four point three million dollars on a one hundred and fifty million dollar budget.
But we look funny to me.
I don't know.
I don't know yet.
So the big headline from this week comes down on Friday where Disney has secured the rights for quote future Indiana Jones films.
Do you have my attention?
Do I?
I just don't know if I want another one.
As long as you leave shy of the buff out of it.
I'm okay.
I just don't know if I want to see.
Here's a four to hundred and forty years old.
Why am I why am I automatically thinking of that line and in Raiders who knows and a hundred years.
Maybe even you will be worth something.
He is becoming back.
I know.
I just don't know if I want to see another one.
I don't want to do like.
Young Indiana Jones because that didn't work.
No.
I don't want to do.
Well, it did for what it would.
Universal Indiana Jones.
I mean, we're already getting another Indiana Jones movie because they're making the movie out of temple run.
But that's happening.
I just don't know if I need another one.
I'd just like to see a really really good one.
I wasn't in Crystal Skull.
Oh.
Or as we'd like to call it Indiana Jones and the King of the Empty Skull.
Yeah.
I just don't know how to feel about it.
I don't really care.
I'm leaving where it is.
It's kind of like how I felt after we watched Pacific Rim.
Don't do another one.
Just leave this where it is.
Is that that I hated Pacific Rim?
I just don't think it warms a sequel.
I just don't want to see.
I just don't want to see the planet go through another butt kicking like that.
All right.
This next thing may be spoilers because if you haven't watched this by now, you're too late and I don't care.
The trailer has been released for the amazing Spider-Man 2.
Chad, you watched it right before the show.
And so I'm going to start with your thoughts.
Oh, no.
Really?
Yeah.
In an oh, no.
Kind of way.
Or in oh, no.
Kind of way.
Yeah.
Really?
I wanted you to expand on that, sir.
It looked like Spider-Man 3 to me.
Really?
Yep.
I'm worried.
Well, we know one thing that's going to happen in it.
Yeah.
My fears that we talked about on this on the show last week were a little more
of relieved.
My concern was with the rhino.
I thought it was going to be like a Voltron looking kind of a writing thing.
It's more of a suit.
What it looks to me now.
Very reminiscent of the power loader in aliens.
Kind of.
Okay.
I could see how you could go there with it.
I could see that.
About that size is what it looked like.
Yeah.
It wasn't this massive robot tech thing.
I'm concerned about the goblin.
Bad two.
There isn't after watching that.
There isn't a heck of a lot that I'm not concerned about.
I'm okay with the electro.
I think that's kind of cool.
Look at I kind of like where they're going with him.
They couldn't go with the comic book look of electro.
Try it.
Yeah.
Let me start my life with his motivations and stuff.
I'm kind of cool with that.
Yeah.
I don't see.
This is weird because this is a very strange juxtaposition on the show.
Because I was expecting the opposite reactions.
They went overboard with the CGI.
Way overboard with the CGI just from the trailer that I saw.
That it's too much.
It looks like you're being left based in the chat room.
You can land based me all you want to.
Yeah.
And this is this is coming.
Brent.
I I loved the first two Spider-Man films that Rayme did and he hated him.
I hated all three of them.
And I loved the first amazing Spider-Man.
And I was on board.
Another more fantastic.
I thought Mark West work was amazing.
But no point intended.
It it.
It just looks like overkill.
It looks like absolute overkill.
I agree with the fact of I hate this many villains in one film.
There was a couple of nice little Easter eggs in it that you noticed, which I was happy about.
Yes.
Uh.
I'm okay so far.
I mean this this is a thing of I hope I'm wrong.
I hope I'm off base.
I really do because I want to love this movie because I love the first one.
No.
And this is this is one of your favorite.
One of your favorite heroes.
Yeah.
By a long shot.
I mean I've been a Spider-Man fan since I was going to be a fan of comic books.
And for geek news by the way, we already talked about BS2 earlier.
I think I've made sure we covered that because that was just awesome.
Um.
I don't know.
I'm good.
I mean believe me Brent.
I don't want to be right.
I don't I don't want this to be as bad as I'm a.
Is is is the impression that I got from that trailer.
Maybe I was expecting something that I didn't get.
Um.
But.
A lot of quick cuts though.
I think you want to see a better trailer.
Maybe so.
I think that's part of the promise.
You want to see a better trailer.
And this is all you're getting for probably another two to three months.
Mm-hm.
And it just to me it looks like a lot of style and not a lot of substance.
Uh.
I'm not there yet.
Because again, there's so many quick cuts in it.
Because I never got that feeling from the amazing Spider-Man trailer.
I never got the they're just trying to dazzle us with with, you know, magic tricks.
Here it looks like you're not trying to do it.
So you think the real life romance between the two leads may be a problem.
No.
Okay.
I don't I don't see that even being a factor.
Um.
But you know, it's it's the it's the triple threat thing that that is always kind of worried me.
I just hope we're not doing we're not trying to do Green Goblin and Hob Goblin.
And it's well, it can go either way.
Because the trailer leads you to believe that you might get both of them.
Well, you you definitely see both Osborns in the trailers.
So.
But at one point the father is in the hospital.
Right.
He looked good.
But he wasn't in good shape in the first one just from what you were told.
Yeah, fair point.
So I don't know.
I just.
I got I got a bad first impression.
And I hope I'm off base.
So let's go to some better news, shall we?
We have Wonder Woman.
Her name is Gallicado.
She has a former Miss Israel sir.
And they have.
Israel has has cranked out some beauties.
I'm on board.
I just don't I don't know.
Are we doing this to stick our toe in the water to see if that's going to be a viable franchise?
Because I don't know how I want to work her into this unless we're doing what I think we're doing and we just did it a year ago animated.
What do you mean?
It's Batman versus Superman.
She was involved.
Her and Selena both were.
And so was Holly.
And we just did that we animated that a year ago.
So would you have felt better she had done a standalone first?
I just wonder if that's what we're doing here is we're putting her in the movie to see if the character is strong enough to support a full movie.
Kind of like what they did with Hulk.
No, because you had two Hulk movies for your adventures.
Yeah, and they both did not get the.
The second one was great.
It was great, but it didn't get the massive turn out that either the Iron Man's or or Thor.
Well, the first one was the horrible film.
Yeah, but even the second one with Norton wasn't as successful as any of the films in that in that cinematic universe was.
Well, I think part of it, too, as much as I love at Norton Mark Rufflow's country model.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But I think this is what we're doing here.
I think this is sticking your toe in the water.
And I don't, I'm, I don't, I don't, I don't want it's getting this thing.
Don't do it either.
But I'm on board with her, but you're also going to have two villains.
They're talking Luther, Luther, and Matalo now.
Why, Matalo.
Because this is when you could, this is how you introduce Kryptonite.
When in God's name, are we going to get freakin' Brainiac in a freakin' Superman film?
I don't know.
This is killing me!
I'm, you know, and something else I'm kind of wondering.
Do we ever get to see Darkside in a Superman film?
If we don't get to see Brainiac in a way, at least get to see Darkside.
And at any point in this iteration of the Superman cinematic universe,
do we see the doomsday fight?
It's gonna be way down the road.
That might be part of your Justice League movie.
Just sayin'.
When he comes back, they form it, or they get together in the wake of it,
or...
Could be.
I mean, I can't forecast.
I'm not right in the script.
But also, Bryan Singer announces that May 27th, 2016,
will bring X-Men Apocalypse.
As an age of...
There are already planning that.
He put it on Twitter on Friday.
That's a gutsy move.
Well, in the wake of days of future past,
and you've got blink in this one.
There are some people that are getting a little worried about days of future past.
I love the trailer.
I love the trailer.
I remember the...
The wake of the whole Doctor Who thing.
The day of the Doctor.
There was news all over the place that they were worried
because they were having to go back and do some re-shoots.
That should be a good thing.
And that's what I was thinking.
I'm like, why did they try re-shoots?
They're trying to make the thing work right.
And they said that Fox hasn't spent this kind of money on a film
since Avatar.
Thundersmers.
And I was like, wow, really?
I mean, this has been a while since Avatar.
This is a big storyline.
I know.
That's kind of...
Eggs in a basket kind of thing.
I'm ready for another.
I'm ready for another.
Days of future past trailer.
Because I'm ready for this movie.
I need to go back and read it, though.
Before this movie comes out.
I mean, like, okay, let's see.
That trailer gave me goosebumps on top of goosebumps.
That's the feeling that I got watching days of future past
is what I was hoping to get when I saw Spider-Man too.
But again, I think you put your-
You said the bar too high for that Spider-Man trailer
because it's almost like an expanded teaser.
You don't really get a chance to focus on anything.
And what was days of future past?
You at least had more-
You had longer shots.
I think a lot of the shots in the days of future past
are that there were longer sections of it.
And it wasn't-
Yeah, and it also wasn't dominated by CG.
It's fair point.
Fair point.
And that's what worries me about this Spider-Man.
So this next story, I don't know how you feel about.
Andy Circus.
You might know him as Golem.
He will be starring in a new version of the George Orwell Classic Animal Farm next year.
A book I had to read in Americanism versus communism
and freshman year in high school starring in it.
But it said it's the story I read.
Well, you know, I don't know what he got on me.
He was also-
But is this a story that's-
I don't know if this is a story that's relevant to today's society.
Because the concept of Animal Farm was basically showing you
Communism versus Americanism.
And I don't know if there's a place for it now.
If it's going to be relevant.
I want to be just doing MoCab.
MoCab is gotta be MoCab.
Yeah, it's gotta be because it's just a bunch of animals.
It's the name.
Because you know he was second unit director on the Hobbit.
Right.
So he's- he's getting his cred.
I just- I don't know.
I mean, I'll- I'll wait for a trailer.
But I just don't know if-
If this story has relevance now.
Because we all saw how well the remake of Red Dawn went.
Nice music, choice, by the way.
Here, welcome.
I-I get it right everyone.
Well, figure if you were gonna go with Nickelback on this one.
Yeah, I think this is more, you know.
This one fit better.
Jerry Brookheimer announces that he assigned a three-year deal
with Paramount.
And in that deal with Paramount,
will be the top gun reboot.
And the reboot of our-
Beverly Hills Cup.
I'm sorry, top gun too.
Not a reboot of top gun.
I'll be top gun too, which makes no sense to me.
I thought that thing got-
Once-
He's got- he owns the rights to it.
Yeah, but I thought once Tony Scott did what he did.
I thought that pretty much just-
But the Kibash on that film.
There was just a sack dance in the-
The night came and got me.
Watch- I just-
We're gonna put this to the side just so I want you to watch this guy.
What he does.
If they show it again.
Here's the sack.
Down goes Cam Newton.
Show it.
I know he stood up and did the whole Cam Newton touch down.
Then where he ripped it up.
Like, look at you.
Oh.
Yeah.
And then he like slammed like air slammed it.
It's funny.
Um.
I don't think we don't really don't need a Beverly Hills Cup reboot.
If CBS won't turn into a show.
Yeah, because that got killed.
We've got a couple of-
It is gonna be Auburn at Florida State for the National Championship.
Russ also tells us Ohio State will play Clemson in the Orange Bowl.
In Jorabi Stadium.
They're- the- the bowls are coming in now.
So.
Also.
DVD and Blue Ray in February.
It's gonna be Justice League War.
This is based in- and Brent.
If you're still in the room.
I'm gonna defer to you on this.
It's gonna be based in the 2012 storyline.
Justice League Origin.
You know I'm on board with pretty much anything Justice League.
Oh yeah.
So.
We'll see if Brent's got it in opinion on that.
But I just- I saw the first screenshots been released from it.
And it looks like like old school style costumes.
And it had a- is it something similar to like the new frontier
that they did several years ago?
No.
Nothing- all works different than that.
It's not that retro future type style.
It's not really dug bad.
It was- I- I thought that was okay.
I didn't really dig new frontier.
But you know I'm willing to take-
I- I saw I haven't seen the Wonder Woman movie.
But I haven't seen-
I haven't seen Flashpoint Paradox yet.
I haven't seen that either.
But the Wonder Woman was one of the best animated Marvel's-
Marvel's animated DC features.
I've seen it a while.
Really?
Yes.
It was not expecting to be that blown away by it.
Really?
It was really good.
Fair enough.
Let's get to new releases in your local movie house this coming week.
A movie that I really probably should go ahead and see at some point this week.
Because the Hobbit, the desolation of Smell releases this Friday.
You can go Thursday they're doing the double feature.
I know at the Alamo draft house in Richardson they're going to be doing the Hobbit feast.
Which they've got the- the menu would up for that.
I would love to book that.
Also, on the other side of that colony.
Oh god.
Tyler Perry is on the deacrisis.
With Larry the cable guy.
Oh good god.
Yeah, he's in this too.
Oh.
Gator had a new gem.
Also, going back to the good side of the coin.
Tom Hanks, Emma Watson.
No, that's not Emma Watson.
That was a girl from-
Emma Thompson.
Emma Thompson.
Emma Watson was in Harry Potter.
Saving Mr. Banks.
Which looks fantastic.
Where Tom Hanks is playing Walt Disney in the-
In the- securing the rights to do Mary Poppins.
Looking forward to seeing this.
Oh, thank you very much.
Also, another movie I'm looking very for you forward to seeing.
I saw a- I saw a- I saw a- a- a gift the other day that had the poster for American hustle.
Which comes out this Friday.
The original poster on one side.
And on the other side it's all of them in their comic book roles and the sleeves plots.
I was wondering if anybody was going to do that.
This is how normal people see this poster.
This is how geeks see this poster.
It's like rocket raccoon and lowest lane and-
Oh, that's right.
Bradley Cooper voice is rocket raccoon.
Very funny.
Rust says when the Carter will always be Wonder Woman.
You know, I can't debate that, sir.
Nope.
Also, a movie called ours.
And I mentioned this only because of the star of this film.
You know what this is, sir?
No.
Paul Walker.
Oh, that's right.
Oh, that's right.
Oh, that's right.
Let me get to the right page on that.
I should have been more prepared and I apologize.
Come on.
You can do it.
I hate websites that have so much on them that you really can't keep up with stuff.
There's block stuff left and right.
Come on.
HBO.
Help a brother out here.
At least we got a nice song.
Let's do the background.
Here we go.
Thank you, Mr. Zimmer.
Hours, which is of 20% of Ron Simmons.
Right now, American hustle at 96% saving banks at 90 and Hobbit at 78.
Hours.
Before sunrise on August 29th, 2005, no one hates played by Paul Walker.
Arrives at a New Orleans hospital with his pregnant wife Abigail played by a Genesis
Rodriguez, who has gone into early labor.
Which should be one of the happiest days of no one's life quickly spirals out of control
when the birth goes tragically wrong and hurricane Katrina ravages the hospital, forcing
an evaluation of evacuation.
Told to stay with his child who is on a ventilator and a weight transfer by ambulance,
no one in his newborn are certain cut off from the world by power outages and rising flood
waters.
When no one returns to help no one faces one life and death decision after another finding
to keep his daughter alive as a minute by agumizing minute passes becoming unimaginable hours.
This is an interesting take on this.
This sounds incredibly depressing.
Yeah, this sounds like the feel good movie of the year.
The heck with the fact that, you know, what the other reason it's at 20% is there only five reviews right now.
Oh.
And the one good one comes from coming soon.net, which is good film thread didn't like it.
The McClatchy Tribune News Service.
The heck is that.
Twitch didn't like it and something called we got this covered.
Didn't like it.
Well good for them.
And a movie called some velvet morning releases this week.
Sounds like a country song.
So are Stanley Tucci and Alice Eve.
It's kind of a, he hadn't affair with her and so then he leaves his wife and he wants her back,
but she doesn't want him and the old little weird.
Yeah.
Alice Eve.
How you doing?
So I would say about that.
Just be careful of the gratuitous underwear shots because the director
would have to issue an apology to everybody.
I found it.
I found it.
DVD and blue right new releases this week.
A movie that's, if you buy the best buy, you can get a million's lunch box,
despicable me to lunch box.
Yeah, lunch box.
Despicable me to.
If you haven't seen this to yourself a solid as much as I love the first one,
this one was better for one spin since specifically towards the end.
Fast and furious six releases this week.
Also, if you did not catch the day of the doctor in the theaters,
it will be available for you on blue right at DVD this week.
And with saving Mr. Banks coming out this week,
we also have the 50th anniversary edition of Mary Poppins.
And my wife will want both of those.
We have some more bo updates for you.
The sugar bowl will be Oklahoma and Alabama.
That'll be a great game.
The yes to bowl will be bailer and you see F.
And the rose bowl will be Michigan State and Stanford.
Also, the 25th anniversary edition of Big.
Oh, this week.
Yeah, I believe that.
The piano Reeves.
We thought we wanted to be the Matrix and then decided against it.
Man of Tai Chi.
Movie starring Chris Brown, which means I won't see it called Battle of the Year.
The creepy movie adore about the two friends that go on vacation with their sons and
the sons hook up with the other ones.
Oh, yeah.
Great gardens get the criterion collection treatment.
And I put this next one on here for you sir.
Gatch a man, the complete collection.
Yes sir.
A movie called Touchy Feely, which is about a massage therapist who basically has to deal
with her own family issues.
And a movie called The Booker, which is a documentary about wrestling.
Not Booker T.
Okay.
Not about the five times five times five times five times five times WCWT.
They can't be just a coincidence.
No, about Booker.
I got you.
I got you.
Okay.
Sometimes I have to.
Oh, you.
Let's go to Tech Corner.
And I did the Tech Corner headlines this week.
Sir, you're welcome.
I've got one to add, too.
Mark January 28 on your calendar.
If you were an Xbox One or PS4 owner because the Tomb Raider definitive edition is coming.
And you can pre-ordered on Amazon right now.
I think it's actually available for the old generation platforms as well.
That Tomb Raider was released on initially.
I think it's just going to be the game and all the DLC.
Fair enough.
But you're going to have a shiny coat of paint on it.
If you get an extra system.
And Atari gets a quarter approval to emerge from bankruptcy.
Really?
Yes.
They did.
They're going to pay 3.8 million to their bankruptcy lender.
Alden Global Capital.
And so their unssecured creditors are over the next three years.
They're going to pay 1.75 million a year.
So Atari's back.
They really weren't gone that long.
They just went out of the hardware race for years.
Yeah, but it's nice to just see them so as a viable thing.
Yeah.
I got enough of my childhood disappearing or getting bastardized.
I don't need this, too.
Well, they've been continuing software development.
They never really went away completely.
They're going to mount a bankruptcy.
That's a good design, sir.
A one little tidbit I want to throw in there.
Okay.
You ever heard of a developer called Tail Tail Games?
Yeah.
I will not have to confirm or deny that.
They got a lot of publicity.
A lot of recognition for doing a game.
An episodic game.
This is what they tend to do.
They'll take a property and existing property and make an episodic game.
They're kind of like the, uh, back to the future game.
That's who did it.
They did that.
Okay.
I'm with you now.
They did back to the future.
They did Jurassic Park.
And then they got a lot of praise for what they did for the walking dead.
On the cops.
Yeah.
I did see said they're doing something.
A property they're doing.
It escapes me right now.
Oh, it shouldn't.
It shouldn't escape you.
No, I read the story.
I can't remember now.
Because when you said walking dead, that triggered it.
Uh-huh.
Developing a game based on George R.R.
Mark.
Oh, game of thrones.
Yes.
I don't need that much game of thrones.
Well, again, they may not be basing it on the HBO series.
It may be more based on the books.
Um, I just, I need to keep my game of thrones or his.
Because like I said, that's what they did with walking dead.
They based it on the comics rather than the television series.
Because somebody else did a game based on the television series.
And it sucked.
Yeah, I didn't go well from one of them.
No, it didn't.
All right.
Street lights on.
Go for a brother and almost on time tonight.
We end every show with a list and tonight is no exception.
The pendulum swings back to me.
And this is a list I've been kind of mowing over for a couple of weeks.
And I finally decided this week, you know, we're going to go ahead and do it.
Because there's a lot of movies out there.
That's cast well known actors.
Because that's what you do.
Yes.
But the actors, they cast them with, although both great actors.
Don't necessarily gel well together.
Um, and this was, this, what really was the nail on the coffin for me.
By the way, the cotton bowl will be January 3rd.
It will be Miss Zoo in Oklahoma State.
Was I was, I don't want to, I don't want to bury the lead.
But it had to do with the number two on this list.
Because I saw a number featuring, I saw a movie featuring that individual.
It just solidified it for me.
So this is going to be the top, my personal top 10 movie couples.
And I felt had no chemistry on screen whatsoever.
Number 12, we go to number 12.
Number 10.
I'm very confused right now. The big 12 was just not enough.
Number 10.
We go to Batman begins.
Katie Holmes and Christian Bale.
It was like Christian Bale was overacting to try to make up for her lack therein.
If that makes any sense.
It's, it's like he was, it's like he was trying to play a romantic part with his sister.
Yes, it's good way to put it.
Especially like the whole scene where she hits him with the stun gun, he's like,
Number 9, Ellen DeGeneres and Bill Pullman and Mr. Wrong.
There was nothing good about this film.
And the two of them together just, no.
For obvious reason.
Well, I saw people put, some of the lists I was looking at.
Some people included Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher from whatever happens in Vegas.
But that was kind of the point of the movie.
So I would didn't put that in the list.
Even though spoiler alert, they wind up together.
But if you, if you, if you were a spoiler alert for what happens in Vegas,
you might want to reevaluate with you guys.
Number 8.
I saw one list.
I saw say Adam Sandler and just about anybody.
But I thought he had good chemistry with Drew.
We'll Drew and with Julie Bowen in Happy Gilmore.
What was that?
Billy Madison.
That was Billy Madison, wasn't it?
No, Billy Madison was,
Oh, no, that was,
Bridget Wilson.
Oh, how you doing?
Stown you from Mortal Kombat.
This is Peter Samper's.
That's right, yeah, that's true.
But for me specifically for him,
it was he and Kate Beckinsale in click.
Outkicking your coverage by country.
Yeah.
I mean, you talk about outkicking your coverage.
Let's be real.
Number 7.
A Nick Nolty and Julia Roberts in a movie called I Love Trouble.
Did you ever see this piece of direct?
Absolutely not.
Where they are like rival reporters working for the same newspaper.
Oh, it's horrific.
Just seeing those two in a film together,
I'm like, nothing good can come from this.
Do-da-do-da.
I think I saw it like on accident or something.
But I know I've seen it.
Because I, there were some lists I saw out there
that named people like Johnny Depp
and Angelina Joey and the tourists.
I haven't seen this story.
So I, it's not my, that's not why I wouldn't put that on my list.
Cause I haven't seen that movie.
You know what I mean?
Right.
I could understand it.
Number 6.
Made in Manhattan.
Jennifer Lopez and Ray Fines.
You only, this was a,
the lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin picked it.
And I rolled with it kind of a night.
And I regret that ever since.
I just, I don't know that there's anybody
that any movie I've seen her in that I've seen her
with good chemistry.
Because you can't act.
No.
A lot of people had Julia on the list.
Well, a lot of people.
Yeah.
But they haven't seen it.
Don't have any plans to.
Number 5.
Drew Barry Bore and Michael Vartan
I've never been kissed.
I like both of these two.
They're just not good together.
Vartan on my huge fan.
Because he was an alias.
You still never watched an episode of that show.
Yeah.
Oh, have you seen a couple of them?
Love that show.
But I used to think they worked well together in that film.
And plus I don't buy Drew Barry Moore as an undercover.
High school student.
That just didn't work for me.
Or was she supposed to be a teacher?
I don't remember.
No, she was a student.
Couldn't tell you.
Number 4.
Rosie O'Donnell and Dan Acrode and exit to Eden.
There were so many things wrong with this film.
That this was just one small piece of a thousand piece puzzle.
Did you read the book?
I did not.
You know who wrote it?
Uh, one time I did.
And rice.
Oh, really?
Under a pin name.
Um, I thought Dana Delaney was great of it.
I mean, the role that Dana Delaney portrays.
portrays.
In the book is just.
It's.
You think 50 shades of gray would freak people out?
Oh, really?
Some of this stuff that happens in this book with her.
Good God.
And that whole thing when I saw the trailer and Rosie O'Donnell and the patent leather.
Right.
Right.
I threw up in my mouth.
When I saw the trailer for them, I just read that book.
And this is so not this book.
And they turned it into a comedy.
Yes.
And it was not a comedy.
If I'm in rice, I was throwing stuff.
Uh, number three.
Are you with me?
I dare you.
Branden Ruth and Kate Balsworth and Superman returns.
Oh, my.
And they're both good actors.
I didn't say great.
I said good.
Him.
I'll roll with her.
I've never.
I've never bought her anything.
She's like her.
But it seems like a nice girl.
But I just they almost had negative chemistry.
That's how like the it was almost like they could closely.
Repel off each other.
Yeah.
They're like.
How bad this was.
Yeah.
And I don't blame that horrible script.
I just blame those two not having any on screen chemistry.
Yeah, just didn't work for me.
Number two.
Owen Wilson and just about anybody.
I don't see him as a leading man.
I never have.
And what's a little fight for me as I said at the top of this list was the internship.
His romantic interest in this film.
She looked like there is a thousand places.
I'd rather be that in this scene.
I don't know if that's where they were going with the character.
But it just I was not convinced.
I wish he I she's somebody that I've never heard of.
Okay, it's beautiful.
But I just I don't know.
And I'll put wedding crushers on that list too.
Because that was the one thing.
Him and Rachel McAdams.
That was the one that seem like as far as physical chemistry.
No, but they had.
It's in my head like a little bit of something, but it wasn't much.
Me.
I love Fisher and Vincent Vaughn had better chemistry than the two of them.
True.
And that was.
I love Fisher, I know and number one, oh boy, debate me because you can't.
Nope.
So when you've all been going Rob, why haven't you said yet?
It's because it's number one.
Natalie Portman and Hayden Christianson and Star Wars episodes two and three.
Do this, I'll just take me back to Street Fighter Legend of Chun Li.
What do you, his best friend?
Like that's how I felt, like this, like, I feel like the moment that they kiss that
they're both just like, can we just get over it?
It's easy to, he was so wouldn't in two and then she got even more wouldn't in three.
Yeah, what happened to your skill?
Is, we couldn't get that together?
Yeah.
Like, everyone, she just planned to finish.
You're breaking my heart?
I was like, you shut up.
Please shut up.
Please shut up.
Somebody force Choker, please!
She died of a broken heart.
Spoiler alert.
Her agent died of bankruptcy too.
That.
Disney, don't let me down.
Disney, don't let me down.
It's all I'm saying.
That's the list.
I still say there's one grievous error from me.
Please do.
Harrison Ford and Anne Hage.
But see, I don't remember if I've actually seen six day seven nights or not.
It's, it's, that, that is, because that made a bunch of the lists I saw.
But I kept thinking, did I see this movie?
Because I know we had it at my movie theater that I worked there.
But I was like, did I see this movie?
I remember.
I remember trying to sit through it a couple of times.
Trying.
I was like, okay, let me see if I can get another 10 minutes on it.
I can't, I can't.
I can't.
Because I want to say at that point, her relationship with Ellen had been made public.
I, if it was, I think it was right after it released is when that whole thing happened.
And if I remember correctly, horrible timing.
I was like, how are you going to be able to sell her as a romantic interest for Harrison Ford?
When you know she's played for the other thing.
And you know what the producer said.
Oh, Ellen, now you're going to ruin the movie.
Don't intrusion.
That's the list.
