Hey y'all, hey y'all, hey y'all.
It is Tuesday nights. It is 8 o'clock on the East Coast. It is 5 o'clock on the West Coast.
It is season 2 episode 20. It is the 22nd of November in the year of our Lord 2011, which
means it is time for the clubhouse. We welcome each and every one of you listening around the
globe. I am Rob joining me for his fourth straight show sitting across the desk from me. He is
Chad. The streak is intact. Big number coming two weeks from tonight. Big big big big big big
number coming two weeks from tonight. Very excited. So make sure you catch that show. I'm not going
to tell you what it is. If you can figure it out if you do the math. But I have to push one more
button. Because normally I push a button to unmute Chad's microphone so he can sound talking.
Start talking. I'm going to push one more button because we got somebody else in here. We
said we were having a guest this week and possibly next week. Two different guests. We're
booking big time guests on this show. He looked confused for us. He's like, really? I haven't
committed to that. So when he goes on microphone number three and headset number three,
you know him. You love him. You can't live without him in the chat room. He is John. Say hello to
your fans, John. Hello everyone. How are you doing, John? I'm doing very well. Thank you. Good to see you.
Good to see you. Thank you. Oh, he sent me an email a couple of weeks ago saying he wanted to
subject himself to this madness. And so subject himself to this bad. I'm just saying, like I said,
is he our guest next week? Possibly another major guest next week. Working on booking it right now.
Okay. Like I said, a possible triumphant return to this show coming next week. We want to thank
the over 1600 people. And if you don't believe me, look at your history page numbers don't lie.
Well, they might stretch the truth a little bit, but they don't lie. Hey, hey. Over 1600 people
checked out our survivor series special edition. That is so cool. Oh, not complaining at all.
Yes, Megan. John has been in the chat room before a lot of time. He's one of the more consistent.
Well, see, you guys are at this advantage, because you don't have the chat room. I don't have to direct
track. I'm not even going to bother bringing that laptop. It may as well be an advocate.
First announcement, we want to we want to slow things out. Oh, Julie is listening. So we say hello
to John's lady friend, Julie and my sister, who is still recovering from pneumonia.
Bless her heart. Yeah, I read some of the deeds on her Facebook page. Good Lord.
We want to start out with a bit of an announcement. Not enough about the show, but an announcement
about a couple of members of the clubhouse empire, which each and every one of you are.
This is the song I was telling you about the other night. I'm just going to let this play for a minute.
That's pretty somber. You'll get it here soon.
And the whole world is on your case. This song, if you probably recognize the melody,
the song is called to make you feel my love. Written by Bob Dylan, covered by both Billy Joel and
Garth Brooks. This is Adele's version. Oh, this is Adele. This was also the first dance on Friday night.
Shared by our webmaster Richard Cheely and his new, lovely wife.
I'm still calling her S.J. because I just made up a middle name for her one time and it's stuck.
So Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cheely married on Friday night up on the north side. Beautiful ceremony.
Babes catered. Oh gosh. Already a great day.
So congratulations to those kids. Congrats, guys. Yes, congrats.
So now that they're married and the weddings are the way, I can start booking Richard about the website.
So I'm very happy about that. Well, they're on their honeymoon right now.
No, they're taking honeymoon later on. Oh, okay. They will be heading to Vegas very soon.
It's usually that happens to get about the same. Yeah, nobody's going to work on there on a honeymoon.
I'm not here to judge you. We also want to thank the over 70 people that came out Sunday evening.
So Fox and Halden, Richardson, Texas for Survivor Series had a great time. I guess we always do.
I got a little misty eye when I looked around that room. I'm like, wow.
The thing that days before we started doing the show there, they had three people and two of them were not drinkers.
And in the, uh, then in 10 months that we've been there, we've been able to grow this thing.
We can't thank each and every one of you enough. Tell everybody you know,
it seemed like we see somebody different every time we're there. It's awesome. I love it.
Everyone's always full. I know. We're looking to make it even more full.
And I mean, it's it's becoming more and more like cheers every time.
And the next time we do it, we'll be December the 18th for TLC one week before Christmas.
Vince couldn't have done a week or one. Just saying.
All right, let's start with corrections because we actually have corrections this week.
We have corrections. Hey, if I suffer the show stuffers, okay.
If I suffer, you're all in this boat with, this isn't, this isn't me playing the fiddle on the tight.
Hey, I got to fuck it up. I was standing there last week, right?
You were in the chat room. Make that count.
It's guilt by association apparently. We're back and listening to this week's,
this past week's show would like to say that it is the maple leaves that plan Toronto for hockey,
not the blue jays. Also, this past week's pay-per-view was survivor series and not the rumble
during my 25th anniversary rant. I caught it. I just didn't say anything.
And after the show, we did look this up. One of the guys in the room Sunday night said that there
was a women's survivor series match at the first, the first survivor series. They're indeed was.
Who?
Moolah was involved. Wendy Richter was involved.
It was very spare. Okay, so there's that.
Let us get, we've got a lot to cover tonight. Let's just dive into the deep end of the pool with a
very quick NASCAR segment because there's really not much to talk about. It's one thing to talk about
really. We have a champion. And let me, let me tell you something, NASCAR got lucky this past week.
And I say got lucky because there could have been potential for huge failure in this finale.
Also, well, as we know, if you listen to the show last week or if you read things online,
Tony Stewart was three points behind Carl Edwards. So mathematically, only one of the two of them
could win the championship. Right. Well, we find out on Saturday that Carl Edwards is sitting on
the pole. And I don't mean that in like a biblical sense. I mean, he's the first person in line.
And Tony Stewart's 15. Wow. So on paper, you're going on this thing's church. There's just no way
Carl Edwards has this thing. What? Well, as John and I know, by living in South Florida,
when a race starts at one o'clock, you're going to get rain. And you're going to get a lot of rain,
especially this time of year. This, this race didn't end until right before the paper,
you started. Wow. Oh, that's right. This was six hours. We're at the race. Because barbed wire was
the one that given you the feeding you the end of the show. Barbed wire. Absolutely. Starting up his
own DJ business. It's really very exciting for him. But he brings up a notification. He gets on
his iPhone right before the paper. He starts is working ready to get off the air.
The way this thing has worked, Tony Stewart wins the race. But there's a tie.
So we'll talk about what happened in just a moment. Let's go over your top 10 from the
Ford 400 in homestead. Which John is that North of Miami? South of Miami. Okay.
Your top 10 finishers. Number 10, Jeff Burton and the caterpillar Chevrolet.
9th placement to Denny Hamlin. 8th placement to Kevin Harvick. 7th Casey Kane, who won the race last
week. Clint Boyer in 6th. Jeff Gordon in 5th. Matt Kenseth in 4th. Martin Truex Jr. in 3rd.
Carl Edwards in 2nd. And in 1st place, as we just said, a winning the race.
Tony Stewart wins. Now, there's a, so what happens is Tony Stewart gains enough points to tie
Carl Edwards in the, in the chase for the cup, right? So then my first question is, okay,
so I've never seen a tie in NASCAR. How does this work? Don't just roll shampoo. No, it's not,
it's not, it's not, it's not, it's not a cage man. Rocks, paper, scissors.
Also very, very possible, but not happen. Apparently the tiebreaker was number of wins in the chase.
And since Tony Stewart has won half the races in the chase, he wins the cup by one point.
Wow, over Carl Edwards. If you're NASCAR, you're sweating bullets because now,
the finish to your season has been the best finish they've had to my recollection in years.
And I'm not a NASCAR guy, but I don't even remember reading anything as long as I've walked
this planet that, that this thing worked as well as it did. So congratulations to Tony Stewart.
He wins his third sprint cup, not in a row because Jimmy Johnson's own the last five.
But now they get what? 10 weeks off. And then we do it all over again at Daytona, the
week after the Super Bowl. Valentine's Day or something like that, right? So it's Valentine's
and it's on a Sunday. It winds up around there.
Megan says she can't hear us. I, we're broadcasting. Fine.
Jules, let me know if you have us because I'm seeing no problems at all on our end.
And she says never mind. It's bad. Oh, okay. I don't know. I just worked here.
I think it's user error. Megan said, I will not debate you on that.
I could say that because I'm a thousand miles away. So am I. I'm on my mark.
But that is you're really, that's all you can really talk about for NASCAR.
I mean, that's the seasons over. Congratulations to Tony Stewart.
They're winning a squeaker, more or less. And you know what? Like I said, if you're NASCAR,
you're happy with that because you couldn't have had a better way for your season to wind up.
Exactly. It's a win. A suspenseful ending. You are listening to the clubhouse.
We appreciate each and everyone you're being here every Tuesday night,
eight only east coast five on the west coast. Let's get into a little movie talk.
I told you we're moving quick tonight.
Let us because I have to get some things up here. I thought I had that tab up and I do not.
We're going to talk a little box office numbers. I guess at some point in this deal.
Well, again, only one thing to really talk about. Yeah.
Yeah. I mean, if you didn't see this coming, then there's something wrong with you.
And if you did go see this movie in theaters over the weekend, there's something wrong with you.
And you go to the men's room on a regular basis, then please bring your man card by the rub by the
bunch. But you know what? I'm not going to say because there's guys that were dragged to this thing.
There, there were dudes that were dragged to this. And there's one word you can say, no, no.
No, this dude talks an awful lot when he's in this studio. But if I remember last week on this
very show, somebody in this room and it ain't me said if he didn't take his wife to a certain film,
he was going to be sleeping outside for a week. You said I would be sleeping us.
No, you said you'd be in the doghouse. No, I said I would take her to go see this because she loves that.
But she said if you didn't, you'd be in the doghouse. I can go back and check the tape.
Okay, go back and check the tape. Listen to it today.
It was, it was Doctor Who that we were talking about. She's real big in a Doctor Who.
I've never gotten into it because to me, it always looks kind of cheesy.
She is a hoover. She is a whosun.
Neither of us. I've never gotten. I've never, I don't get it. I watched it when I was younger.
I just, I, this current incarnation, this current generation of it, I haven't gotten it.
You know, it's always look cheap to me. Now that if they can, if they can serenity
firefly it up for me theatrically, you might have me, you might have me there.
But if it looks like it looks on TV now, I'm not interested.
Trying to pull up some, I have some technical difficulties from an internet aspect
of trying to fix at this point. It's like you get to the actual box office numbers.
I'll give you a hint. It's a lot. Well, we know, but it did not reach what, what, what the
predictions were. That's what I mean. I think it felt just just shot. I think they want to
gross like 137, 138 million. I'll tell you here in a moment. It's over 200, wasn't it?
No, it did not. No, it's, it's expected to make 240 million dollars domestically.
They were projecting it was going to make 104 out of weekend. Number 10, the George Clooney
vehicle, the descendants, which is getting great reviews, by the way, 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Number nine, the Justin Timberlake in time, $1.7 million. Number eight,
the very herald and Kumar Christmas still getting it done. The 2.9 million J Edgar makes 5.9
to come in at number six. Number five, the star-studded tower heist, 7.1 million. Number,
oh, that's, that was number six. What number five? Three, I can read. Puss and Boots,
another 10.8 million dollars. I am pooch. That would be the same force of nature.
Now, of course, I'm going to pop up at it's getting me nowhere. Okay, here we go. Number four,
number four this week was number two last week is still in the top five. This Adam Sandler debacle
known as Jack or Jill, although it did gain 1% so it's up to four on Rotten Tomatoes now. Oh, how nice.
Number three, Immortals still hanging in there. Another 12.4 million dollars still wouldn't
mind saying that. Number two, oddly enough, because it is a sequel. Happy feet to 21.2 million
dollars to open. But was anybody going to compete with this movie right here? Twilight,
the Twilight saga breaking down part one. Is this dark night? Yeah, because that's coming up in a
minute. 138.1. According to Rotten Tomatoes, I've right as high as 139.5. It was expected to make 140.
Yeah, 30 million at midnight screenings Thursday night alone was up to 74 million by close of
business on Friday. A lot of a lot of pre-pubescent women got no sleep that night. I mean, that's insane.
That is literal insanity to me considering considering the audience that you're talking about here.
It's a pretty much a niche audience. Am I really? I think I would I don't think it's a niche
audience because you can't be a niche when your audience is that big. When your audience is
pre-pubescent teenage girls, that's not a niche, sir. One word. Titanic. Boat movie. But that the
boat movie appealed to a bold, a full jaw, a full, it pulled gender. It pulled me in because
I saw the boat movie. Yeah, it pulled me in because of camera. It pulled me in solely because of
camera. But I didn't go back and see it 50,000 times. It was a better movie. Well, neither here
nor there. The Twilight group is what made Titanic so successful. That audience is what made Titanic
so successful, I think. Well, yeah, but that's that's a whole gender versus a section of set gender.
But that's the same. I'm saying the same demographic that made Titanic successful is what's making
Twilight. But let me ask you gentlemen this. Is it smart for this deal for this franchise to wait
another year to replace to release the second part? Because the second part doesn't come out
until next November. Harry Potter only waited half that time. Yeah. I'm sure they have a strategy.
You know, maybe they have another, I mean, who releases this thing? What studio? Summit. Summit.
I don't think it really matters because they're going to go anyway, right? But look at what it's
going to be up against if it releases in the summertime. Yeah, but they said the same thing about
Harry Potter and so did it but time of money. Yeah, maybe they think it's just a little bit too.
It's a little too crowded for a summer release next year because you've got all those comic
movies that are going to be oh, I mean, come on Avengers Spider-Man Dark Knight Rises.
That's pretty that's pretty heavy. My wife read all the books and she saw the first movie and hated it.
Really? It just it never ends. Julie's not a fan either. See, Julie's but Julie's not their
demographic as much. I mean, as as as much as I dig vampires, as much as I dig werewolves,
you would not I would not walk across the street to watch this. Yeah, but I don't think Stephanie
Meyer had had us in mind. She wants she wanted that preteen deal and she got it big time.
I just I just can't help but think that if she had appeal to our demographic a little bit more
she'd be making even more money than she already is. Good to see you Philstein. Thanks for stopping
in, brother. Big celebrity break up news as Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are du and done, brother.
After six years of marriage, speaking of anyone not see this coming. Well,
apparently they had an open relationship. Those are the reports coming out and hers weren't just
with dudes. Wow. I just wanted to see I want to know how long the two of them were able to keep
that quiet. That they had an open relationship. Yeah. It may have been something that they let
let out the bag early on. We just said, so what? They're weird anyway. But this was the first I'd
heard of it. I really can't recall if it had apparently it was him that initiated this not her
the divorce. The divorce? I've not heard the exact opposite. I'm reading now that he's the one
that was just like this, this doggy, huh? But she's the one that filed. Well, yeah, but that doesn't
mean she initiated it necessarily. Normally whoever files first initiated. I mean, this has been
this has been documented well enough we can move on. James McAvoy is stating he is contracted for two
more X-Men first class films. John, did you see first class? I did. What did you think? Love it.
Chad, you and I are both the same. Absolutely. Probably my favorite superhero movie of the year.
I don't need another one. Why not? Leave that let's sleep in dog's lie because there's nowhere to go
but down hill from here. I don't know. I don't know if if they can keep if they can keep their
production team intact along with the majority of the cast that they had. Well, writing
plays a huge part. Well, production team. I'm just saying everybody involved behind this behind the
camera and I just in front of the camera. If they can keep the majority of that core intact, I'd
be in for a second one at least. I definitely see it. I would I would in a heartbeat. I was I was
on the fence on it seeing it theatrical. I think he and I both were and when we saw we're like,
why did we not go see this in a theater? I did see this in a theater, sir. Well, I wanted to go
see it with you. I don't know what happened. I wouldn't I wouldn't saw it with with the aforementioned
Richard. It was after their wedding shower. He needed he needed to go do something of a manly
there because he has been first class. Let's go see. Oh, wait. Now as soon as I saw the trailer,
I was in. I was like, okay, we're going to see this movie. I was worried about it because it's so far
out of continuity that it's almost back in continuity. But if you just leave your geek brain at the door,
it's a beautiful film. It's a great film. It's well done. The story is well told. I just
worry that there's nowhere else we can go downhill. I worry about you're you're worried about what
happened to the regular trilogy. You are correct. Yeah, but although I didn't think the movies,
they weren't as good as their predecessors, but I wouldn't say any of the three were horrible.
Third one was pretty bad. I liked it. I like third one too. But the first one's still the best,
but the other two, they weren't as good, but they're good though. I just remember sitting in the theater
when the beginning of the first one came up on the screen and it was Charles Xavier explaining
about how mutants work. I remember just sitting there going, I never thought I'd see this day.
Uh-huh. Ever. Well, you know, when I marked out at the end of two, oh, yeah, when you see the
silhouette of the Phoenix in the water, I was like, yeah, you heard my my nerd brain explode
all over the back of the back. Changing gears just a little bit. Merrill Streep doing a movie
called The Iron Lady, which is about Margaret Thatcher, who apparently we in this country love,
but the Brits did not. We found out recently from your lovely wife. We've seen the one
sheet for this thing, by the way. I've seen the trailer. The one sheet really weird is like she's
got big band in parliament shooting out the back of her head. Merrill Streep getting paid a million
dollars for this film. That's we're going right for this film. She's not keeping a penny of it.
She has donated her entire acting fee for the Iron Lady to the National Women's History Museum.
A lot of people were saying, oh, she only did this movie for the for the money. She didn't really care.
She's like, I didn't make a dime off it. She's like, well, she's like, ah, watch this. You know what?
And I respect that. Absolutely. Have anybody heard Merrill Streep having money problems? No. No.
No. You don't see her in very much. I mean, well, because she's usually, she's usually doing movies
that's going close. You just, I mean, the last thing I could really remember her doing was what the
Devil Wars product. She did something else recently. I've been darned if I could think of what it is.
We can look it over. No, I'll do it. I'll do it. Go ahead. Keep talking.
Well, you're here in the opening. Why so seriously from the dark night in the background right now?
The trailer is now set. It is going to now. Now, this is different from the Ghost Protocol story that
we reported on last week. Ghost Protocol is going to carry the first eight minutes of the film.
If you go see Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, which I was already on, in on anyway,
the trailer looks phenomenal. Now, we find out, we find out that the trailer itself
is going to be on Sherlock Holmes, a game of shadows, which I still have not seen the first one
in that series, which also may have the habit on it. We're here. No problem there. No, none here.
Have you seen any of the of the pictures from this thing that's been they've been posting on a
summer regular basis? I have not. They've shown like some pictures of the dwarves and the elves and
stuff. And it's it's it's right back to the Lord of the Rings era. I mean, it doesn't look any
different. We're looking forward to that one too. Yes, I see you smirking. It's time to talk to
the releases. Please, please, please do. New in theaters tomorrow.
Yeah, this is the default ringtone on my phone. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. The Muppets finally
arrives in a centiplex near you to mall. There you go. That's how much I'm looking for. I'm
saying the wallpaper on now. I will have seen this movie by the end of the weekend. Maybe more
than once. Thinking maybe the driving. I got the email from the galaxy driving today. Are they
doing a double? What's the double feature? Do you know? I had the email earlier. Let me look.
Give them a little. One hundred percent on rotten tomatoes right now. When was the last time you
saw that toy story? And as held it's held it. Also, this week, another animated film. Is this
of course as easy if it's doing this? Yes, Hugo Hugo 95% currently on rotten tomatoes.
This is a weird story. I can't quite let me see if I can get a deal on this and lock this thing down.
It looks to Zemeckis for me like it looks like the whole
Christmas Jim Carrey's Christmas Carol to me. Mars needs moms and that worked out real well this year.
Well, the original trailer I should have saw didn't tell me anything at all.
I'm sorry. It's based on a New York Times bestseller called the invention of Hugo Cabray.
They are doing the little feature by the way. Yeah, I know. No, I just never know what it was with.
Real steel movie will haunt me for months. The astonishing adventure of a Willie Wiley
and resourceful boy whose quest to unlock a secret left to him by his father will transform him
and those all around him and reveal a safe and loving place he can call home. Thank you,
Paramount for being specific. Also this week, another movie I'm in on. By the way,
completely in on this. What happened there? Okay. This is from the brand new green album. By the way,
this is Weezer and Haley Williams doing the rainbow. We could get green day to do rainbow. How cool
would that be? Arthur Christmas releases tomorrow. This is the story. Basically, Arthur Christmas is
Santa Claus's son. Santa Claus has gone completely high tech. So they really kind of show you how
Santa Claus can get hit every house in one night. It's kind of neat, but they find out that they missed one
kid. And so Santa kind of goes old school with it with his son to try to get to this one kid
before Christmas morning. It looks great. It looks, it looks really good. Well, look at his
responsible headstream works. Well, Ardman specifically. Yeah, well, you don't know who Ardman,
this is the guy who's responsible for balls. So I mean, currently 94 percent of Rotten Tomatoes
also on the other side of the spectrum. A film called a dangerous method. Now, I've only seen
this trailer on nothing but trailers. Very interesting concept. Who's the cast on this thing?
Maybe just a second. I will get to it for you. I don't think I've even heard of this.
It's not. Why is it not here? Let me go back to the Rotten Tomatoes homepage. I will have it there.
This is obviously a fictional tale based on actual people.
Boy, technology's killing me today. I like this version. It does. It's Haley Williams from
Paramore. Rob, if I may. Yes, please. Going back to a Meryl Streep. Yes, sir. In 2009,
she was in Julia and Julia. Oh, and it's complicated. Oh, yeah, it's right. It's complicated
with Alec Baldwin. The whole Steve Martin. Yeah, she was his ex-wife that he was having in a fair
win. So there's that. We also have my week with Marilyn. I'm going to get to the
Digest Method here in a minute. My computer's running slow. My week with Marilyn starring Michelle
Williams as the aforementioned Marilyn Monroe, who looks, looks amazing. When I first saw it,
I'm like, I didn't even realize it was her. Based on a book about a week she spent in Britain,
and she spends a week with this guy who she kind of takes under her wing as her
confidant that week and people tell her he's going to get played and blah, blah, blah. Okay,
Dangerous Mine. Method. Oh, oh, this is a phosphorythane. Oh, okay. So do you smell the
challenge of an impossible case? The driven coctor, Dr. Carl Young, Michael Fassbender,
who we all know for also from X-Men First Class. It takes the unbalanced yet beautiful subbenus.
I can't even say the last thing. He's played by here and nightly. He's Bill Rain is what it looks
like. As a patient, and his weapon is the method of his master, the renowned Sigmund Freud,
played by one Vigo Mortensen. Directed by wow, I just saw the director. Go to him.
84% currently on Rotten Tomatoes. He must, Vigo must be his muse or something. Doesn't
it make like three movies for him? Eastern promises and history of violence. Oh, so I don't know
what you know about this next movie. The artist currently at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. Hopefully not.
Well, here's my thing. This movie, this is a silent film.
What is it? Every, every trailer I've seen for this, it's been a silent, it's a silent film.
And of course I didn't. So click it correctly. I know to the 20s. It takes place in 1927 Hollywood.
John Goodman's in this, Penelope and Millers in this, Missy Piles in this, James Cromwell is in this.
The two principal actors. Kind of a rise and fall of an actor in Hollywood.
A silent movie star. Of course, Pigs says Vigo. Okay, you know, you knew that was going to happen.
Yeah. Currently at 97% your other big release this week is called Rampart. I first saw this and went,
are we bringing back a video game? Would it surprise you? It is not.
I can't listen to this album all the time. Alkaline trio. Woody Harrelson plays a dirty cop
balancing a home life with two X wives as he becomes embroiled and lost and the LAPD's infamous
Rampart corruption scandal. Sounds like training day revisited. 76% on rock tonight was right now.
I just like the people driving so bad today.
This is Alkaline trio. I just went for some dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.
Are you kidding me?
Very well done.
I'm not going to have to shut down the Internet Explorer on this other window because it's just locking me down.
Well, do you want me to go down D.B.D. Blue Radio Relation?
Go ahead and start them in a moment. We'll talk about them.
The biggest one I guess would be Super 8. Super 8, JJ Abrams directed.
So much of kids making a zombie film and there's a train wreck and an alien is like go and
Polarity and I don't think it's hilarity so much. Did you see this Rob? I have not.
Have you? I haven't either. I've heard good things about it. I've been done. I mean with that with with Abrams directing and Spielberg producing.
Did you have Persemin or see right this?
It I don't know. I don't know if they did or not. I can I can I have the technology to pull that off. 82% on rock tomatoes by the way.
Because again, if you don't know what Rotten Tomatoes are, it is literally Rotten Tomatoes.com is the website.
You can go there and it will tell you how many of the reviews on a certain film are good.
If you have a if you have a smartphone or
some similar device, it's part of the Flickster app. I know that's how we use it a lot.
Now the opposite end of that spectrum.
A movie that got absolutely slaughtered by critics. No pun intended.
Conan the Barbarian.
Comes out today. Oh, and answer your earlier question. No, J.J. Abrams wrote it himself.
Oh, did he? Yes, he did.
Of course. Oh, this is driving me nuts. I wanted to see this because I'm such a fan of Conan.
At least I've heard a lot of this movie that was Gore for Gore's sake.
Which I don't know who directed this.
There was somebody of note. It's a guy that's known for his Gore Fests though.
So you really kind of you really shouldn't have been all that surprised.
This is killing me these computers today. These kids today with the technology.
I can't make the technology work. Oh, oh, Marcus Nistvelle. Who also is known for?
Sir. Oh, oh, the remakes of Friday the 13th in the Texas chainsaw massacre.
So yeah, a guy that's known for his Gore.
Also today. Boy.
Why did this next movie even get made? I don't know.
My kids all the time in the world, which was in 4D if you saw theaters.
It means you got it was like a scratch of this. No vision thing.
The subtitle seemed like to be how much time they wasted making a sequel to three.
And I feel bad saying that because the dads played by the great Joel McHale.
Who I love from the soup.
But both of the original kids were it did make appearances in this apparently.
Very limited appearance. It didn't seem I mean, they weren't even a focal point of this.
No, it was two new kids and it just.
But not the new kids because then I wouldn't I wouldn't.
On the block.
Yeah, I wouldn't support that at all.
Also, WWE Vengeance. If you want to see Frenchie and Mark Henry break a ring.
There you go. That's all right.
And then there's this I had to put this on here because this was.
I saw this and I was like, oh, you know, I've never seen this movie.
Really to another one of those that's been around for ages that I've never seen.
The original.
You've never seen this. Nope, this shocks me.
The original 12 angry men gets the criterion collection treatment today.
Time to mention that.
We watched it in school when I was a kid.
Yeah, wow, we never really did anything like that for you sheltered kids.
Oh, yeah, we're so sheltered.
Julia probably scold me on that one.
I think Julia and I both had no because Julia, I would say in high school.
I think we both had to watch that in high school.
But you are a brown County school. You should have had to watch it too.
We didn't watch a lot of movies in school near field.
They would give us books to read.
And then we would go cheat and watch the movies.
Because it was there.
field page high school.
My school is better than your school.
All right, that's going to do it for movie talk.
At some point, we're going to get this thing on the get the wheels on this thing.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
I think we're going to title this week's episode.
Technology does not like me.
Technology doesn't embrace you.
Yeah, technology hates me today.
So that being said,
NHL news.
Congratulations on coming back to one Sydney
Crosby fear the penguin.
Let me tell you something brother.
They were talking about when Mario Lemieux came back after some
some stuff that he had going.
What was it?
Hodgkins that he was doing with.
Yeah, he had his first game back.
He had a goal and two assists.
Sydney Crosby says,
okay, I'll one up.
Yeah, in my first game back,
I'm going to have two goals and two assists.
And this kid's been out since January, right?
So yeah, over half a season.
Good.
Lord.
He's like a player.
That's for Dan.
Oh, man.
And they were already playing lights out hockey up at Pittsburgh.
Yeah, that's good.
He's back.
Without him.
Now they got it.
Well, they had it like we've talked about this show.
They had a nice little run.
Jimmy got a free taco coupon last time for Stars Game.
So thank you, Jimmy, for plugging into the NHL segment.
The jokes there are abundant.
Wheel, wheel, wheel.
Oh, no.
I'm going to pay for that one.
I miss the days of free Chalupa's if the Maverick scored 100 points.
Let's go over your NHL standings.
Atlantic division of the Eastern Conference.
The Islanders with
13 points carrying up the rear.
The New Jersey Devils who got beat by R4 to Panther, sir last night.
So you're welcome.
And fourth, the New York Rangers in third.
Philadelphia Flyers in second place right now.
Two points behind your at length.
Division reading Pittsburgh Penguins.
We just talked about them.
Is that going to propel them that much?
I can't not.
What, Crosby coming back?
I just...
That's going to be a joke, the team.
Heck, yes.
I'm more worried about this.
Talk to me about this in three weeks because I really want to say a lot of people say,
yeah, it was, it was, it was, it was New York.
When he takes that first hard hit, that's what I'm worried about for Crosby.
Because I think he's a great player.
He's great for the league.
He's a great ambassador for the league.
Because I've heard Obechkin as a bit of a D-bag.
We'll see as this goes on in the Northeast division.
The Montreal Canal.
21 points.
The Habs, the Habs, or the Habnots.
Oater-Wall, right above them.
Toronto and third.
Actually, we have a three-way tie for first place.
And it's the Maple Leafs.
And that's not the Blue Jays, right?
Yes, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Buffalo Sabers,
and John's beloved Boston Bruins.
Gone from Worst to First.
Well, they're still celebrating that Stanley Cup championship in the first five.
A little hangover.
Yeah, kind of slip, you know, super walk through the first month there.
In the Southeast division,
Carolina, bringing up the rear at 19 points tied with the Winnipeg Jets.
You know what?
I'm not going to drag on the Jets.
The New York Jets, yes, the Winnipeg Jets now.
Tampa by my beloved Tampa Bay Lightning in third place of 54 points.
Washington, the aforementioned Ovechkin's team at 63 points.
And my beloved Florida Panthers.
First place in the Southeast division, 25 points.
Let's go.
How about that?
Tell you what, 74 on the road.
Not that bad right now.
In the Western Conference, your central division, the Columbus Blue Jackets,
with a whopping 12 points.
That could be the lowest total on the lead.
And indeed it is.
The St. Louis Blues right above them, the day-to-war Red Wings,
right smack dab in the middle.
One point behind the National Predators,
who are three points behind the division leading Chicago Black Hawks.
Well, there'll be a day where the Black Hawks go away.
They're very talented teams.
They very much are.
John the days.
They're one of the sharp.
They're one of the originals, right?
One of the original six.
In the Northwest division.
Calgary, 17 points.
Colorado, two points above them.
Van Cooper, two points above them.
The Edmonton Oilers, one point above them.
And leading the Northwest division,
the Mina Soda Wild.
There guy.
So congratulations on that.
Then let's go to your Pacific division.
Had a little bit of a problem this weekend.
Anaheim, 16 points still bringing up the rear.
The LA Kings above them, the Phoenix Coyotes.
In third place, one point behind your second place,
Dallas Stars, who fell as far as third.
Since the last time we were on the air,
last 10 Dallases at 500.
That ain't good.
San Jose is one point ahead of them right now.
But Dallas currently, 12 and 8.
Still haven't had been forced over time.
So can't fault them for that.
It's early.
It's it is, it's November.
But it's getting to that point with the weather
you can call it outside.
You just want to talk hockey.
I'm ready for the winter classic.
Considering we can't talk basketball.
Could the winter classic be the one thing
that may have injected life back into the National Hockey League?
Could be.
Because I love the winter classic.
Got the Rangers and the Flyers this year, right?
At the link if I'm not mistaken.
Leave your correct guess.
That'll be fun.
I always forget to watch that thing when it's on.
I'll catch at least one period.
Last year, I caught the second and third period.
Something happened.
I couldn't make it to the TV in time.
Why did your wife, your daughter, enjoy this song?
I'll send her a copy of it if you like it that much.
Love you too, baby.
You are listening to the Clubhouse.
We are live every Tuesday night.
8 on the East Coast 5 on the West Coast.
Joining us tonight in studio John is here.
I am still here.
He is still here.
He's gonna help me here for a whole show.
Sometimes he says, I, you know, sometimes I may laugh.
You need to keep it down over there.
You're talking to me.
I am Rob.
I've been for the last four weeks joined by Chad.
Make sure we do talk about everything on this show.
Sports, pop culture, pro wrestling.
One of the things we touch on is college football.
But if you want a really in-depth college football show,
be on this channel Sunday mornings at 10am on the East Coast,
7am on the West Coast, 9 o'clock central time.
That is when Cody's playbook takes the air.
Our good friend, Karen, to the show,
co-founder of this network.
Cody Hawkins takes to the air and he goes through the day in college football.
Huge weekend this weekend.
This is to me the best weekend in college football all year.
I can't agree more.
And I'm looking forward to it.
I'm looking, John's big college football fan, too.
But this weekend?
Dude, this is rivalry weekend.
This is huge.
He's a good bowl weekend with the best weekend in college football.
There is no bowl week.
Well, but it's a bowl month.
Well, you know, like New Year's, to me,
that's where it always kind of goes.
But they've spaced them out so far now.
You only have like one marquee match up a night
for a week starting June New Year's Day.
It makes me sad.
If I can get my computer to work properly,
which I can, look at that, kids.
Let us get into a little bit of wrestling talk.
And we're going to start with a guy that may have some problems.
And that's it.
When you told me this earlier,
they outlapped my head off.
As it did not surprise me at all.
Boy, this seems awful slow, didn't it?
I keep a little bit there.
He seems awfully slow in a short bus kind of way.
Hey, now.
Oh boy, it's all a little Jimmy's.
Yes.
Our truth suspended 30 days for violating the wellness policy
came down this morning.
I wonder.
This is it.
The company did say this is his first offense.
I thought it was his second.
I wonder.
Did they know last night?
And is that why they had him take that skull
crushing finale from his?
That's what I was thinking too.
Makes sense now.
But they were literally writing him out
and just suspending him as of today.
It's just the timing was a little bit too convenient
that that was the last image that we were left with
considering, well, we'll get to that in a minute.
Almost let the cow to the bag early.
Um, glass bullet point, glass bullet point.
Um, yeah, uh, it just seemed like
that's it made a lot more sense
whenever you told me that.
I'm like, ah, so that's why they
interfered.
That's what I was thinking.
Although I can still continue this as a second
but if the company says it's his first, it's his first.
So you seem like I thought he'd gotten in trouble before.
He was gone for a while.
So let's talk a little bit of impact.
Not much.
There wasn't much to talk about.
We've talked about how Sting is now the
I guess he's considered the GM of impact.
You got a lot of guys fighting in the back.
A lot of guys fighting.
It's kind of like chaos.
So my question is, are we trying to do this triple H
no confidence thing with Sting?
As long as he's, you know,
bear in mind, I do not watch impact
because it can't hold my interest at all.
I think of the only person I know that though.
Is he still working the Joker gimmick?
No, no, after once,
once he beat Hogan, that was over.
After bound for glory, that was over.
So did he just go?
Now he just comes out in shades and has the soul patch.
He's not even wearing the makeup.
Okay, so did he?
He's not in a wrestle either.
He's not in a white face anymore.
Not right now.
He's just wearing sunglasses.
But I haven't seen him compete either.
So I don't know if he's just saving the base paint for wrestling.
So did he like put jumper cables in his mouth
and hook it to a car battery
and jolt himself back into common sense, Will?
I mean, what happened?
He just turned a switch and all of a sudden he's
regular Steve Borden again.
Well, he's still staying.
He'll always be.
He'll always be my leader.
But I just, I think we're trying to work towards
an O-Stink can't run things because, yeah, blah, blah, blah.
I like, dude, WWE just did this a month ago.
Well, I'm sure they can run that.
We saw how unstable he was when he was painting his face
and that kind of like an idiot.
You know, I wouldn't have any confidence in him either.
Probably try to turn it to a TBN broadcast or something.
Hey, hey, hey, hey, careful.
Hey, he has done that.
Bigger than me.
Bigger than you go in somewhere.
Should we go and do another Dirk's Bentley concert?
Oh, she's headed out because she's having a sleep over at Sasha's house.
That's why in the middle of the week.
Oh, well, she's probably off school already.
Yeah, be safe over there.
Okay, have a good time.
Thank you, Sasha, for both of us, man.
We do appreciate each and every person that listens to this show.
Love that kid.
Well, it is your kid.
I would hope so.
I'm legally obligated to.
Then we had a 10 knockout gauntlet match.
To determine who your number one contender for the knockout's title is.
If anybody cares, just make a joke.
No, I didn't.
In case you were wondering.
Moving on.
But something.
I'm sorry, I have no.
Jobs like I'm out.
I'm done.
But I do want you to go back.
Get it, get it.
Go back.
I believe you can go back to Spike's website and watch last week's impact.
Go to the last segment.
Because James Storm is now on a quest to find out who jumped him
and took him out of the world title match.
Okay.
Something happened.
And I don't know what.
And I'm trying to find out.
If anybody in the chat room.
Oh, thank you.
SPC 34, I think that's for a great show on Sunday.
Appreciate that.
Something happened.
And I don't know if they didn't get the footage they wanted.
Or if the end of last week's show was supposed to be the beginning of this week's show.
Or they did it twice and just took the best parts of it.
The freaking audience changes.
What?
If you watched the last segment of impact, it's two different crowds.
How can you tell?
Because there's different people.
And there's the some of the same people wearing different outfits.
You've got to be joking.
And to God, I thought it was just me.
I rewound it.
And watched it again.
I actually watched this segment of impact twice.
Wow, that's got to be a first.
And I went.
That girl was standing over in the corner before and she wasn't wearing that dress.
So there's the person that was jumping up and down and raising their arms.
They're not there anymore.
Okay, wait a minute, wait a minute.
So not only are they looping crowd noise,
but they're hiring actors to pad the crowd.
I was just like.
At least if you're going to come back because if they tape.
I'm at a loss.
I'm at a loss.
What did I think their next paper?
You should be called total desperation.
It was just like if you're going to, I mean, I understand they tape a show Monday and Tuesday for two weeks.
And if you're going to come back for both tapings.
We're the same close.
At least try to do something.
And maybe I'm the only one that noticed it.
I don't know, but I'm just walking because I mean,
they have a girl that's fairly attractive that sits in the front row.
And I saw her and I was like, oh, they moved her down farther this week.
And then all of a sudden, she was like in the middle.
And I'm like, is this a mosh pit and nobody told me?
But wait a minute.
That's a white blouse.
And she was wearing a black blouse five minutes ago.
In a week that's historically marred by the history of the gobbledygooker.
That's about it.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time.
It's amazing, sir.
I wish go go go to spite TV's website and watch this thing.
God, you're going to.
And if I'm wrong, if I'm wrong,
I will put it right at the top of corrections next week.
But I swear as I am sitting in this studio, this happened.
That is insanity.
That is absolute insanity.
Oh, I thought it was hilarious.
Oh my god.
It's just what was I going to do?
Somebody needs to lose their job.
Dude, uh,
then we got to Sunday.
We come and smack down at our show on Sunday.
You can get that right here on the archive on our Ustream channel.
But let's talk about what happened at Survivor Zoo.
John, you were there.
It was.
Chad, you were there.
I was there.
It wasn't deep.
Yeah.
Thoughts on this paper view.
Better than I graded it.
Exactly what I graded it.
Because you gave it a C minus I gave it a C.
Yeah, it was average.
Yeah, it was.
It was poor for a major.
It was.
I can't.
But as a paper view, it was average.
I can't.
Too much average average.
Average, I would agree.
It ended just like we all thought it was going to end.
With scene of turning on rock.
But it wasn't like see a rock turning on scene.
But it wasn't like rock did a field turn.
To me, it was just exactly what you thought was going on.
I don't really don't know if it was rock turning on scene.
It was just like rock still filling the same way towards scene
that they did going in.
It just didn't get it didn't get you worse,
but it didn't get any more.
Now I did read an interview with Cena over the weekend.
Apparently.
Apparently.
He has actually apologized to rock for some of the comments that he's made.
Apparently, Orton has too.
Now he wants a match with the rock.
That's because Orton's who's he feuding with right now?
Wake freaking bear.
Did you did you also read about the final three-hour edition of raw
of the for the year?
Are they scheduled another one?
One in the one in Norfolk on December 12.
So the go home show for TLC will be free.
It's going to be a slammy's edition.
Yeah, yeah.
Just roll out Dennis Miller again.
Just so he can tell jokes over everybody's head.
Well, it says unrelated to the slammy scene,
they'll be leading into their next paper,
UTLC on December 18th during the episode.
The scope is also advertising a three-way WWE title match.
CM Punk, Alfredo Del Rio, and Cena for the live crowd.
And the slammy's edition of raw will be part of a five-hour block of WWE program.
So an hour before and an hour after on December 12th and 13th on USA Network.
Oh, so I bet they're going to do a live SmackDown.
No, they're doing a tribute to the troops.
The next night.
They're doing it on Tuesday this year.
They're going on Tuesday.
Maybe they're doing it live.
I don't know, maybe so.
Because they're a state side again this year.
Yeah, I guess they're not going overseas.
They're not going overseas.
They're not going overseas anymore.
We did find out.
Sincara through a bad spot over the top rope has a torn patella tendon.
He will be out six to nine months.
I felt real good.
I will say it.
I said it last Sunday night.
I'm going to say it again.
Biggest failure in WWE history in this guy.
Again, in a in a in a pay-per-view mark by the gobbleday gooker.
Vince paid a this was a bigger fail.
Vince paid a butt ton of money for this guy and he just failed.
Yeah, it's definitely not good.
I thought the shocker was up there.
And well, we also found out this morning.
Dot com.
WWE shop was a was he's getting ready to release 12 new pieces of merchandise for him today.
Getting ready to they were getting her.
I don't know if they did or not, but they were they were about to.
So there's that whoops.
Let's talk about wrong.
We do find out we did now finally figure out.
Kevin Nash can grow a mustache.
We know he can do it now because apparently he is shaving that top part.
Because if you looked on Monday night, it kind of leaned.
It leaned from left to right.
It's like he cut it unparalleled.
He was a hurry.
Is that a parallelio word?
I don't think it is.
But I bet it's more of a word than
epical.
No, let's see other ones that we can't stand.
What's the other word we can't stand in?
Yeah.
Wrestling vernacular.
I just lost it.
If somebody has like Hutzpah.
This ass.
No, there's a word that they use that actually is a word,
but it's not really a word in my opinion.
We get great fruits on the show a lot.
What are you talking about?
No, there's a there's some it's the word we always make fun of.
That they say where someone has Hutzpah.
Yeah, but it's it's not Hutzpah, but it's something of it's ilky.
And they put they put a suffix on the end of it.
Wow, I cannot believe that brings prison on this.
I can't hear there.
It's the holiday season, I guess.
I'll figure it out later.
Then we had a couple of things happen.
We did have a video promo for this guy.
We find out Kane will be returning soon to mask.
Why do we have to set the mask on fire?
He hadn't worn that thing in what?
Eight, nine years?
For a while.
I thought that was weird.
Is he bringing it back?
No, it's like they showed it hitting the ground.
Oh, it's fire.
Sorry, yeah, I maybe he's bringing it back.
I don't know.
I kind of felt okay with that about it bringing it back.
Yeah, I'd rather he did bring it back.
But it would be weird to write it that way.
What way, I mean, I don't know how you do it, but I'd be okay with it either way.
Are we going to tag him up in French again?
Or is this going to be Mark Henry's last feud?
I don't know.
I don't know where to go with this.
I don't know what kind of program you put him in.
I don't know yet.
And then we had this little deal come up.
There's a YouTube channel.
If you go to youtube.com slash
it begins 2012.
He ended up at a desk talking about he's coming back to reclaim what is his.
A lot of darker colors in this motif.
I am fully convinced it's going to be the return of the Undertaker on January 2nd.
Chad, you're shaking your head.
Unless they're just trying to completely throw people off, it doesn't look like anything that
would hint that it was the Undertaker to me.
To me, it did because you had the darker colors.
It was in a classroom.
It was just a kitchen.
No, remember they had shots in that little garden that were very black and white, purple and white.
And they showed like a swing set.
And I was like, and the last time we used kids to Harold somebody's return, if you remember.
Judgment day.
I don't remember that.
The little girl's skipping rope.
They try to do a Freddie type thing with him.
To me, it just seemed very triple H-ish to me.
I don't think you have to to Harold a triple H return like that.
Not like that.
If you're going to Harold a triple H return, I think you go the cone in round like they always have.
Well, but I would say the same thing about Taker.
I ain't no great.
We're going to hold my body down.
That fit him.
This doesn't look anything like him.
You know, when the guys in chat room says maybe it's Brodus Clay who will never debut.
A lot of people are under the speculation as leading to our last bullet point that maybe Brodus Clay
ate Jonah Hill.
Well, but he also, I mean, this guy makes a good point too that Taker, having it be Taker,
is a little bit predictable.
But by the same token, how quick do we figure out that the whole same as thing was Jericho?
Yeah, it didn't take us long at all.
And I mean, somebody, basically it was caught the first time at aired because somebody
saw in those little deals.
It was whatever the track listing was in the volume of WWE theme music.
That was Jericho.
The first time Jericho had his theme on a WWE TV.
And something was like the day he debuted in the ring or something like that.
It was August of 99 because it was the countdown of the Millennium.
Something like that interrupted the rock promo.
I remember when they first, who in the blue, he'll tell her, yeah, I'll never get watching that with you.
We just marked out like a couple.
And what do we learn that thing?
Never interrupt the rocky promo.
No, it's just not a good idea for anybody involved.
Then we got to about the hour 50 minute mark.
And I looked at you Chad and I went, we're missing something here.
And you went, we had to think about it.
I was like, where's Jonah Hill?
Jonah Hill was supposed to be on Raw last night.
There was no mention of him.
So I was like, well, maybe the dude's cigarette.
We find out today, Jonah Hill no showed raw.
I guess he won't be expecting.
He no showed Vince and I can only imagine where that's going to go.
I don't think that Jonah Hill is worried about being blacklisted by Vince McMahon though.
Yeah, but I mean, when you know show something that's that big live television,
that can't have repercussions on you.
I mean, it's not like no show in SNL.
But still, I mean, you no showed a major television appearance nationwide.
You don't hear about people doing that very often.
That's true.
But they they gave you no hint or no indication of why he no showed or he just flat out didn't show up.
From what I'm ready, he just no showed it.
He just woke up and just said, I'm out.
All right, you're boy.
Got to go to my next Jenny Craig meeting.
Hey now.
Do you want to talk a little bit before we move on?
Jonah, yeah, that Jonah Hill show is pretty bad.
But he's got that movie coming out.
It looks terrible.
Yeah, but he looks like old Jonah Hill.
If you've been listening to the show the last couple of weeks,
you know that I am dealing with a situation in my home right now.
I'm having to re-floor my entire house.
That's going to happen next week, I'm told.
We do want to send a quick shout out and a huge thank you.
So this should have said he was playing Call of Duty.
I thought that was a modern warfare 3.
Yeah.
What is a huge shout out and a huge thank you to forever floors and more in Garland.
The 320 West i30, if you get on the i30 frontage road,
and you are headed east, it is on the south side of the freeway right by the DMV.
They are taking care of us.
They're going to do a great job.
I can't wait to see what our new floor looks like.
Their customer service is phenomenal.
You need new flooring in your house, whether it's tile,
whether it's wood, laminate, whether you're doing hardwood flooring in your house.
No matter what you're doing, they've got the people that will do it.
Let go see them.
Forever floors.
Give them a call.
972 2701288.
Again, that is 972 2701288 forever floors in Garland.
Cannot wait to see what the new floor looks like.
When it's expecting to be done, they sit three or four days for the whole house.
And we're not just doing carpet.
We're doing the wood laminate, some places, tile in some places.
My wife's gone kind of crazy.
I'm not going to lie to you.
Let us
spare
money.
We can peer break.
No, let us not do that.
We are going to move on.
You are listening to the clubhouse right here live every Tuesday night.
If you miss any portion of the show, it is archived as soon as we get off the air.
We want to thank the amazing, immense number of people who listen to our survivor series
pre-show.
We cannot thank each and every one of you enough.
If you're local here in the DFW area, join us for TLC December the 18th.
Cannot wait.
Last pay-per-view of the year.
We're going to move on and do a little bit of TV news now.
I didn't have music for this first one.
So we're just going to use this for the first two.
I could have used a Dexter's lab.
I don't have Dexter's lab.
Oh, you don't?
I thought you had like a club that shows up.
John, are you a fan of the Dexter?
I am not.
No.
Is, uh, is Julian a fan of the Dexter?
I had never seen her watch it.
Okay, I thought she watched that show a little bit.
Congratulations to them.
Renewed for another two years by Showtime.
I'm told there may be an issue getting some of the actors for another two years.
But I'm just glad his health is held up.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Consider what happened to the guy that got diagnosed right around the same time
with the same problem on a different network and he's no longer with us.
That's correct.
Uh, by the way, that the Spartacus premiere has been set for late January.
Could I, could I be anymore?
Was you ever watched any of the Spartacus shows?
I have.
You ready for the new season?
Gertrude is core and Gertrude is nudy.
Yep.
That's the only two things I can say about it.
That's that's pretty much sums up the entire.
I just wish they would stop talking about Jupiter.
But they do that with with great story writer.
It's very well written, I think.
Yeah, I like it.
Game of Thrones.
Same thing.
We can't wait for season two of that.
You have to get caught up with you.
I know.
You hear who are you in the background right now?
The theme from CSI?
Mark Helgenberger is now officially leaving CSI.
Originally, she said she was just going to work part time.
Apparently she will be leaving the show.
And being replaced and I can't be happier.
The very hot.
And if you debate it, you're an American.
The very hot Elizabeth's shoe.
Holding up well.
Who all is left from the original cast of the show?
Jordan Fox, George leads.
The tech.
What's his name?
Hodges and the corner.
Yes, and brass and brass and brass.
Is he here to think a lot of people are saying,
oh, well, this show's done and lava.
Let me say something.
I've got three words for the people that think this show was done
because you're not going to lose them or I should law and order.
In 21 seasons, how many times did that show turn over a cast?
About ER.
ER, another prime example.
ER is a great example.
I, if you have good writing,
you can survive anything.
And Elizabeth's shoes character apparently is going to be a lady
that's just getting out of anger management.
And she may or may not have been fired
by Ted Danson's character when he was in Seattle.
I kind of like where they're going with this.
I like Ted Danson.
I think he's a good job.
Thank you.
I think Ted Danson's great on the show.
Because I tried watching a couple of Lawrence Fishburden
era episodes.
But see, I like Lawrence Fishburden.
I like Lawrence Fishburden.
Don't get me wrong.
He's the original cowboy Curtis.
But it was.
But it did.
He did nothing for me on that show.
He's too dry.
His character, but I thought his character was a little bit too
over the top.
I can't wait for him to pull a jack bower.
You are running out of time.
I can't wait for him to bring out a red pill and a blue pill or something.
You will know who killed him if you take this pill.
I think this pill, no crime never happened.
There is no spoon.
And I'll send Tom Cruise's next to him.
It's a bad thing.
You know what?
Oh, well, thank you, Jimmy.
And then hello to Amanda as well.
I need a monitor.
At the very least, I need a monitor.
We need to get you a PC that works.
Then we think this next story.
John, were you a fan of a rest of development?
No.
I'm not a fan or did I watch it?
I wouldn't say I'm not a fan.
You never watched it.
Never watched it.
Go, go back to see.
You have to watch it from the beginning.
There's only three seasons.
It's not very bad.
Go back and watch the show's brilliant.
Is this another show that I wish I was in on when it was still on TV?
We talked a couple of weeks ago on this very show that they have announced
there will be another season of rest of development after the movie.
Fox will not be carrying it.
The way you're going to see the new season of a rest of development
exclusively is streamed on Netflix.
I'm still doubting the wisdom of this.
I think it's calculated risk.
Considering the beating that Netflix has taken publicly in the last several months.
But I think this could set a precedent.
We talked on this show how we believe that the record label,
the end of the record label is coming.
This could be a step in that direction for some TV studios.
If they can garner enough viewership off of this,
it will show other shows you don't have to be on a network.
Well, look at what they don't even have to have people.
You don't even have to have a TV.
Look what they try to do with what they're trying to do.
Anyway, with one life to live in them.
And now they've completely pulled the plug on all my children online altogether apparently.
I won't miss that.
Well, no, you won't, but there were there are people out there that will.
But you're also talking about a show that my grandmother.
A show that's on 52 weeks a year, five days a week versus a show that has 12 episodes.
Well, but again, they are going forward with plans to do it online with one life to live.
But they're not going to do it with all my children.
A lot of people are saying it's because the luchi what does because of the luchi.
Yeah, she wants no part of it.
That's my that's my regis filament.
By the way, by a con.
Congratulations, Reese Filman had his final episode on Friday.
Temporarily a place, but yeah, he's on film.
What the heck is this?
This kind of ties into the next story.
And that story after next.
Oh, okay, okay, never mind.
So I guess we'll just see Regis on Letterman occasionally.
He said he says he's not done with the industry.
He's just done doing mornings.
So a lot of people think he's going to go to a maybe a late night talk show.
Maybe he goes back to the wants to be a male yet.
I don't know.
Why not because Meredith Vieras leaving that show.
And she isn't she going somewhere else?
She's got her she's got her irons and a couple of fires already, though.
She's she's a busy woman.
Jack Wagner and Heather Locklear and their engagement.
Here's a question.
Who knew Jack Wagner and Heather Locklear were engaged?
Who cared?
That one got that one got by me.
All he needs is a little bit more time to realize how we feel.
Shut up.
Just move on.
Move next story.
I'm not letting you do this.
I'm not letting you hijack the show that way.
You know, I agree.
Is Regis is the Ric Flair Opelli?
That's in the chat room right now.
That is genius.
SPC 34 is in the chat room.
Who is that?
I'm not sure.
Identify yourself.
I think it was somebody that was in the paper view on stuff.
Stand up and be recognized.
Ooh.
I will style and I will profile.
Slayride the Jacks.
You're closer than I am.
Smack him in the back of the head.
In order to beat a man, get to beat a man.
If you are old school like me,
and we may do another old school show tomorrow,
I'm not sure I got to look at what my schedule looks like.
If you are old school like me,
John and I grew up in the same area.
Four o'clock Eastern time every week day,
my television was on MTV.
For a show that I like to call YoMTV wraps.
I cannot believe we're using this music, though.
This is on the YoMTV wrap CD.
Yeah, but how it's not.
How it's not the 900 number.
Oh, yeah, you do that.
I can't even think about that.
Oh, I'm going to do that right now.
Yeah, just turn around.
It's probably on a shelf behind you at a record store.
Did I ever say that story?
Chad's talking.
This is a song called the 900 number.
You'll know it's a second.
You know it.
Oh, yeah.
Chad and I are in a CD store one day.
CD store.
Yeah, the version mega store out in great five notes.
And he goes, you know, there's a song I've been looking for for years.
I can't find it.
I'm like, what's it called?
It's like 900 numbers.
Really?
He's for the Ed Lumbertax.
I'm like, yeah, I love that song.
I literally reach my arm over and grab just a random CD out of the rack
and turn it over and it was on that CD.
I wanted to slap him and never see a man lose his life force faster in your life.
How do you do that?
It was all I could do from piano myself.
I was laughing so hard.
Don't act like you plan that.
Don't even act like you plan.
Oh, okay.
This is the guy that asked me about Morrison before the pay-per-view at Foxon Herrick.
Okay, excuse me for a while.
But if you were like me and you loved young senior rap's doctor,
not Dr. Dre from NWA, the other Dr. Dre.
Ed Lumber fab by Freddie.
This was the show that exposed that Humpty Hump and Shock G were the same person.
For those of us who couldn't figure it out on our own.
It is returning for one night only.
December the 4th.
Mark your calendar.
This is a Sunday.
Why that day?
Because they will be doing their first ever sucker free award.
Sucker free.
Sucker free TV is the thing they do right now.
It's just all hip hop.
Fab by Freddie.
Ed Lumber and Dr. Dre will be on hand.
I saw the lineup of other people that are going to be on this show.
It was a paragraph long of people that are involved in this thing.
Who are the notable that you can recall.
I would try to take my brain but it's quiet.
I mean, I'll try to pull it out.
I'm just trying to pull it out for you right now.
But it's the suspect you would suspect.
In some cases, yes.
In other cases, no.
Like I'd love to see Big Daddy Kane,
you know, Erick D. and Rock M.
Cool Mo D.
Yeah.
Cool Mo D.
Yeah, there you go.
Get cool Mo D and LL Cool J in a room.
And have a, have a freaking.
Put it on.
No, just have a battle.
Have him have a lyrical battle.
That'd be the coolest.
I would mark out like a school kid.
Have him go jack the ripper.
How you like me now?
This is on your face.
I can't loop that goes on for six minutes.
And it's still great.
And so 18, but Jillian copy.
I just, I just keep singing at the end of the dance.
And it's so because I like, I think two or three times day on XM series.
I heard let me clear my throat.
Really?
I hand it off.
I've got that.
Jimmy says the Wu Teng, I believe Wu Teng claim was on that list.
If I could just left him.
Anyway, well, it's like.
It's like, uh, Stuart Scott once said,
everybody, their brother's been in the Wu Teng team.
I think if I look back, I think I was in the Wu Teng claim.
For like an hour now.
This is like an finest.
That's an inside.
Man, this computer turns like that.
But that'll be on December the 4th following the sucker free awards.
Sucker free.
I have to say that I do it non-C8, what I say.
Is it like a sucker or suck?
Sucker.
Okay, it's suck of free.
So that doesn't mean they don't have any lollipops.
I just haven't booked your team.
Be the MC.
Oh, that would be the greatest day of all time.
Just get him out from behind the commentary booth.
Listen, pay the hair a little off its label.
Can we tell you what?
Let me tell you what?
No, no, no, no, no.
Did you see that?
Michael Irvin and Cookie Monster rolled up at a one minute.
Oh, greatness, they're well played.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Worked my last nerve.
Football is my life, but cookies are my passion.
Today you're making me find this story.
I just don't move on.
It doesn't matter.
I'm just doing it for the round.
Just I know the one.
I was like, oh, wait for a moment.
I'm gonna find it.
I'm just curious who all they got to turn up.
I just think that they got that.
I'm telling you it's everybody in their brother.
That's, that's, that's, that's all they don't say.
It's everybody in their brothers would be on this thing.
How long is the show supposed to be?
They have no sense.
I'm hoping it's at least an hour.
And I would hope it'd be like a three or four
or a block of programming.
Well, I've told the second three awards are probably two hours,
and then I was hoping that the U of T D
would be at least an hour.
But just bring the show back.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Doing old school rap show on it.
I don't know, maybe make M2D about let me see.
Music for a change?
For those of you that are fans of Cougar Town,
their episode order has been cut from 15,
I was cut from 22 to 15.
Anybody in this room affected by that?
Not so much.
Okay, moving on.
But if you are a fan of Grim,
which I've heard good things about,
that got a full season order,
so congratulations to them.
We also found out you have your
Saturday night live host set for December 10th.
This is a remix that I just want to use this version.
I don't have a lot of dancing,
I was about to make my spine snap.
I'm gonna do a theme song.
Let's play that for all six minutes of it.
This is the remix that it's going on forever.
Okay.
Katy Perry will be hosting Saturday night live
on December 10th.
Hosting.
Hosting.
Not the musical guest.
It was a musical guest.
The musical guest will be the young lady that opened for her
on the teenage dream tour this summer,
the return of Robin.
Do you remember show me love, show me life?
She's back and it's not very good.
I've heard some of the new stuff.
It's not very good.
Do you remember Robin?
Let me cue this stuff for you.
I don't confuse Robin with Robin S.
You guys not the same person.
Here you go.
How's this working out for you?
I remember this.
Her new stuff does not sound like this.
This is like 96.
Nickel.
Played it.
97.
A baller.
Nickel.
Played it.
Oh, you think it's bad?
Oh, yes, Jimmy.
Jimmy asked me if I watch Boardwalk Empire.
I have not watched this week's episode yet,
but I love that show.
That is good show.
I watch that too.
Oh, so much for the majority of the first season of it.
It was this season's even better when I was hanging over it.
Mike, he's as tangled as it got last year.
It's worse this year.
And Jimmy has finally found where he belongs, I think.
He has a home now.
He does a great job.
You are listening to the Clubhouse.
We are live on you stream each and every Tuesday nights.
A member of the sooner or greater productions family,
along with the Clubhouse of Cody Hawkins at the Clubhouse guy.
I did it this week.
The playbook with Cody Hawkins.
Tune in Sunday mornings.
Listen to his in-depth analysis in the college football.
I listened to it.
You should too.
Because it helps me keep up.
Let's do a little bit of music news.
This is the new I think it is.
This is exactly the new thing.
Because he's the first person we're going to talk about.
Lucky.
Allegedly, the Justin Bieber baby mama drama could be over.
This girl has now withdrawn her case.
But we found out today, Bieber still took the paternity test.
And when you say case, you do it with the little finger quotation marks in the air.
He took the paternity test today.
Jimmy says his son just started singing in dancing.
No!
No Caleb, look away!
Look away!
Don't go into the line.
That's great.
Oh my god.
I'm sorry, Jimmy.
I'm sorry, Jimmy.
Seeing that the Bieber, we did have the American Music Awards happen this past Sunday night.
Because I love you people.
That much.
I sat through this thing.
You have dedication.
I sat through the pre-show.
I sat through all three hours of the award show itself.
On my DVR, so I get fast forward commercials because that's important.
A couple of notes.
Nicki Minaj opened the show.
She actually sang, and it didn't sound bad.
She may whip you into submission, but I'm coming around on her.
She's a little odd.
I got a lot.
Yes she is.
And she may or may not be dating Drake, we don't know.
Not as odd as Janelle Mone.
But well, that girl's all kinds of weird.
Favorite pop rock band duo or group went to maroon five.
Favorite female country artist with the Taylor Swift.
This is the fourth year in a row.
She's one that award.
Shocker.
There's that.
Family show, it's a family show, it's a family show.
The band Perry performed if I die young.
I can't decide if the girl in that band's hot enough.
Who?
The band Perry.
They do a song called if I die young.
It's a sister and her two brothers.
Okay, you're not the demographic.
No, I'm definitely.
Chris Brown performed a medley, apparently he's blonde now.
So mark that on adjust your fantasy music numbers accordingly.
I hope he never released a greatest hit song.
There's way too many.
It'll be a maxi single.
There'll be way too many jokes.
Just waiting to be written.
I'm not even going to go there.
Fella.
Fella.
A, a, a, feel saying that the girl from the band Perry is hot.
Although he said she's hit first, but then he can see it's something.
It's okay.
You can laugh.
I like that.
That's all correct.
Jimmy says that this is Caleb Song.
I know.
Jimmy, there's some things that maybe you shouldn't share sometimes.
Do him a solid.
Because as your friends, we are now morally and
contractually obligated to make fun of that.
Favorite rap hip artist went to Mickey Minaj.
Quick note for her.
If you're going to be on an award show, at least use a dress you can actually walk
in without assistance.
It's like a guy had to help her walk across the stage to get this award.
I haven't seen it yet.
I did have Julie DBR it.
So why am I a chance to watch it yet?
So hopefully one of these nights is weak.
I'll be able to catch up here.
I heard that happened a lot during the show.
Do we need to mute you during this segment?
Or you don't worried about spoilers?
Kelly Clarkson performance where new hit Mr.
know it all.
But it was kind of cool.
She did it with a big band.
And kind of a kind of a retro did up a little bit.
Trying to kind of made it kind of a swing number.
I kind of dug it.
I'm not going to lie.
Christina Aguilera backed a basics on it kind of.
Not as much.
But I liked it a lot.
Favorite soul and R&B album with
to Rihanna for loud.
She was actually not there.
She was touring in in a year up.
But she accepted the award via satellite.
Enrique Iglesias.
Iglesias.
Aparms performed.
With the Crenshaw boys.
Youth choir and the ludicrous.
Enrique Iglesias.
Great voice.
But is he just an odd duck?
Seems like he's always like just connected from himself.
He's on stage.
He's having an out of body experience.
It does.
It's like he's trying to
keep himself from sneezing or something.
Jennifer Lopez then performed.
Her new hit Poppy.
And then Pitbull joined her for on the floor.
How much money to Fiat pay her?
Because you just got that commercial.
Where she sings the new song in it.
Yeah.
There was a Fiat on stage.
And she was like, she was driving it.
And there was like a look like she in the background.
The background was moving that kind of thing.
All right.
So you know she had a full-blown Fiat on the stage.
Now when I say full-blown Fiat,
your lovely lady friend used to drive one.
And we physically moved it.
So you know how big this thing is.
I've heard that story.
I think you goes away more than Fiat.
Is anybody more convinced than me right now
that she's just merely style over substance?
Because I've never thought she's saying that.
If I say, please don't tell me you just came to this realization.
I just the more I see her in the world.
I'm just like, dude, really?
Favorite country duo or group lady and a bell
I'm stuck in here in a row for them.
And she's hot.
I'm going to say it.
Give her real time.
One republic performs their latest single.
This is to me one of the most underrated bands currently in the pop scene.
One republic.
Never heard of them.
I've heard of them.
You know who won.
No, you're going to make me kill one republic.
No, no, no, no, you don't have to do that.
You don't have to do that.
No, it's good.
I like them.
Well, we don't want to cause another Caleb dancing fit.
But that, but this would be okay.
Well, but Jimmy maybe trying to get Caleb to calm down
and go to, you know, try to get some sleep.
It's, it's...
Okay, it's on you.
It's on me.
My conscience is clear.
It's Thanksgiving break.
But they are very underrated, in my opinion.
Favorite rap hip-hop album was a Nicki Minaj
for Pink Friday.
Mark Anthony performs with Pitball,
who apparently is everywhere in Friday.
She actually has a member album.
This is wonderful.
Which remind me when we get to the end of this thing,
but it's something that's really gotten
under my skin this week.
Okay.
Katy Perry performs a brand new single
for the first time called The One That Got Away.
She played acoustic guitar on it.
Excellent songs.
Very much enjoyed that performance.
She is then presented with an award by Heidi Klum
for being that we talked about that on this very show.
First female artist to have five number ones on a single album.
Only the other person ever to do it?
All right, Karen.
She's the first female to do it, so it wasn't right.
Uh-oh.
Michael Jackson?
Yes.
On the bad album.
Not Thriller.
It was bad.
Shut up.
New artist of the year went to the Hot Shell Ray.
Don't get the bit.
Don't get their bit even a little bit.
Go ahead, John, it's the same.
One, two, three.
Who?
Yeah.
I'm getting old.
Yeah, exactly.
Well, they're like the,
they're like every other male group out there right now
that do the rap singing thing.
What is going on in Ohio right now?
They're doing the ad lever dance.
No, that's actually a different dance that they're doing.
I don't remember what it is on.
Okay, favorite Latin music artist went to Jennifer Lopez.
Is she teaching her how to ducky or something?
I guess they're having fun.
She gets up on stage and she goes,
I totally didn't expect to win.
Oh, by the way, I had this piece of paper.
I'd like to read really just in case.
No false modesty there.
Yeah, but then you are expecting to win.
If you're not expecting to win, then you're not prepared.
You always got to be prepared though.
Mary J. Blige also performing a song that came off of
a firm new album that came out 24 hours ago.
So the album wasn't even out just before it singles off it.
I don't get that a lot of artists did this Sunday night.
Do this on Letterman.
Do this on, don't do it on a award show.
Here's a song you've never heard before.
Well, you know, and this has been kind of bugging me.
Why did they change the time of year for the AMAs
from the beginning to the end of the year?
Yeah, I don't know why it used to be in February.
Yeah, it was like January or February.
It changed it to November.
Favorite soul R&B artist female artist went to Beyoncé.
So there's that.
Maroon 5 in Christina Aguilera performed Cody's favorite song,
The Moose, like Jagger.
If you don't get that, there's an episode called that.
Just go back and listen.
And I just love the fact that Christina Aguilera's biggest hit in years
isn't even her own.
And I'm going to tell you something.
I'm no fashionista.
Oh, you're not?
That was a horrible dress that she was wearing.
Christina, you have a stylist.
I'm just saying.
She is.
Well, she's already fired her, didn't she fire her publicist?
That was years ago.
But I'm saying, baby, what I'm saying.
I know this one she was doing the people cover.
Yeah, that was that was it.
And it didn't sell and didn't resurrect her career.
She'd put out that bionic album and they wouldn't know where.
Which wasn't a bad album.
And she missed a version of Super Bowl.
And then, uh, well, Adam Levine leaves Maroon 5
and then goes and performs the gym class heroes.
Who used to that backspack?
I like that song.
It's not a bad song.
Drake performs his latest single.
Favorite pop rock male went to Bruno Mars.
I liked that kid that kids got talent.
I think I know why they're doing these performing new songs,
though, on the award show because it's this right around the holiday season.
They're probably trying to get people to buy the CDs.
Dottry also performs a new song from his new album that dropped on Monday.
That's what I'm saying, dude.
That just favorite country album goes to Taylor Swift for speak now.
Who she said she wrote that whole album on her last tour.
So congrats to her.
Sold out.
That probably happens a lot.
Sold out four straight nights in Madison Square Garden.
That she was in the middle of performing.
She left to go the AMAs.
Jennifer Lopez and will I am debut a new song?
You can go harder.
You can go home.
I'll go home and Jagger sings on the end of it.
So there's that favorite pop rock album.
It could be my favorite album of the year.
Adele, congratulations for 21 artists of the year.
Taylor Swift.
Second time she's one artist of the year overall.
And we finished the show with LMFAO performing party rock anthem
and I'm sexy and I know it.
And they were joined by the Bieber.
Which that's that's okay.
The kid dances.
I get that.
Then we're doing I'm sexy and I know it.
And then all of a sudden here's the Hasselhoff.
Who tears his pants off and he's got the big boxers with the big smiley face
that they use in the video.
I'm glad I hadn't even yet.
And also apparently they also involved this.
Have you seen this kid that's famous?
This whole his whole bit is he lip syncs songs on YouTube.
Yes.
He was involved too.
Would you think of me differently if I told you that I actually do like that song?
I know.
It's I know because I like the song.
Which one?
I'm sexy.
I know it.
It's party rock.
I love party rock anthem.
Every day I'm shuffling.
You can't.
I don't know if I'll be able to get that video out of my head.
That Keenan that's that's last name's Keenan.
Jimmy's good to see you brother.
Thanks for stopping by.
We can listen if you miss any portion of the show you can always listen on archive.
That's going to do it for your American Music Awards wrap up.
So there's that.
Then we're going to go and do a story that to me has a little bit of an irony to it.
No kidding.
As soon as I read there's something in.
Huh?
Metallica going to play the black album in its entirety.
At something called the down load festival.
Am I the only one that sees the irony here?
Absolutely not.
No.
That load festival in parentheses as long as you pay is a good thing.
Yeah.
I want this song.
That one 99 percent.
Actually I have the CD.
So I paid 15 bucks for it.
The only but they're playing this album in its entirety to beginning to end and
head feels going.
I had to reword some of these.
Geez.
I mean you got to think of it.
This is the 20th anniversary of the black album.
That's the only album that there's I ever bought.
And the last great Metallica album.
Although Death Magnetic was not a bad album.
This was the last great Metallica album.
Period.
Just have to stop it here that.
Katie Perry announces she's going to be taking a year off from music to start a family.
There are rumors that she is already pregnant.
Didn't like I had heard not too long ago.
They were talking like they were having marital problems.
They I think they went through the therapy or something.
But she is denying that she is currently pregnant.
She wants to be beyond something.
Napster is going to host the down load festival.
How funny would that be?
But you know what Lars Ulrich says.
He goes back when he watches that section of the documentary.
He's like I can't watch it because I can't believe what a p-rich I was.
Really he admits that he was all he does now.
Good.
Then we have kind of a sad story.
Bonnie points her over the weekend arrested on a cocaine charge possession of rock cocaine.
Released after posting $10,000 in bail.
She is doing court January 17th.
That trio which was down to a duo right because we lost Anita didn't get it's correct.
Wow I mean was the other one Ruth?
Yes.
Well look at John bringing the knowledge.
I just remember a booth in Anita those the two I remember.
What Bill's doing in the chat room is driving me down.
But we were I would really like to.
We've already lost one of them don't want to lose the other two.
Let's get this thing back on track.
Give her some help please.
Bruce Springsteen the e-street band announced a new album and tour for 2012.
Boy I bet you there's going to be a really heavy heart on that stage on the first number
on the opening out of that tour for Clarence.
Do you replace him or do you just have there's no way?
No you can't replace him.
Unless you can pull out a big gun like a Dave Cause or someone of his ill.
A Najee maybe yeah that would be a hard call to do.
Well I mean but I mean I don't know how you can't.
You don't really rip a place but so much of those songs live especially
have our lives so heavily on Clarence.
Phil in the room also a saxophone player like myself.
Phil who would you replace Clarence?
Clarence comes with an e-street band.
I mean Dave Cause would be the first person I would think of.
He says Kenny G and when I reach the computer choke the life out of it.
We're true saxophone players.
We understand that.
Get some fear to put his pan flute down to pick up a saxophone.
I'm going to stab you with my car.
But the only thing Phil says he's going to do it.
Oh good for you Phil.
Better tell the family you're going to be going for a while.
Typical Phil answer.
And it's true I don't know.
I invented electricity.
Dave Cause is the devil.
New releases that actually your new release day this week was Monday.
Instead of today because of the short week.
Mary J. Blige releases my life to the journey continues.
And it continues for me not to purchase it.
But then there's this.
I love these guys.
This is one of the two singles that they have on radio.
This is the one that was released to rock ring.
Think wire play.
I just bought radio home and a rock ring.
The album is called here and now.
The band is called Nickelback.
It releases today.
Not yesterday but today.
Well, you can get it today.
You want it?
I got it.
I'm telling you so many people don't like these guys.
I love and they're all stupid.
Also, we have a brand new greatest hits collection from a guy who will be here in our fair
bird in a mere three weeks.
Bob Seeger releases ultimate hits rock and roll never forgets.
Sounds like a beat low foul.
But I'll tell you what they do forget.
Name me two other members of the silver bullet fan.
Can't do it.
I don't even want to act like I can.
And then we go to a new release from a band that John was talking about in the chat room
last week.
And Hale?
No, that's you were talking about.
Not us.
And they're right here.
Stones.
Yes, sir.
Stones release a special edition of some girls.
The deluxe edition releases this week.
It's like 30 tracks or something.
I mean, it's huge.
You love this song.
This is one of my more favorite stone tracks.
Chris Cornell releases songbook today.
I think it's a live edition of songbook.
Is that what it is?
I believe it is.
I'm a huge fan of Cornell.
Also, we just talked about this guy just a moment ago.
The album is called Break the Spell from Daughtry.
For those of you keeping track, this is his third album.
Only his third?
You gotta remember, he was on, I don't four years ago.
But that's the end.
I've seen Michael's been longer than that.
The dude is working.
Yeah, he is.
I like him a lot.
Okay, we're here.
I saw him open for now.
Yeah, you did.
Was that at the Frisco?
That was at Frisco.
It was them Puddle of Mud and Dottrick.
That was a good day for you.
Then there's a scene that releases today.
You can get a one-disk version or a screw-disk version.
I went and got the two-disk version.
Because I am both a fan of this artist and what this represents.
Wow.
There is a Cirque des Soleis show called Michael Jackson Immortal.
That is going to tour.
And then making it to a Vegas where it will stay.
At the pole, I believe.
Yeah, can you believe you like that transition?
You're gonna die when you're here in the suit.
I've heard about three or four tracks and I'm already in.
I literally just got choked up.
And right now,
right now, the closest it's going to come to Dallas Fort Worth is Houston.
I'd roadtrip it in my case.
I would, too.
I would.
Because I love Cirque des Soleis.
And I'm not afraid to say it.
I've never seen a Cirque des Soleis show.
Never seen one.
I've seen two.
My wife and I wouldn't saw Beatles love in Vegas.
By the way, before he cannot make it.
That's the one.
That's the other one I don't want to go see.
But this top of my life.
We also wouldn't saw the Cirque des Soleis.
That's at Disney on our honeymoon.
It's called Leibnouba.
I don't know if it's good.
We got a question in the room.
What happened to Ruben's third?
He actually fell for divorce last week.
Oh, really?
He just released a new album about a month ago.
He's about back to the gospel thing again.
But he is finally for divorce for his wife.
That he married after he won Idol.
But this is, I mean, it sounds like the quality of the sound isn't it?
Is it like, did they do the Beatles DTS mastering?
Like they did on the...
It sounds like...
But there's not as much of the multi-layered tracks
as they did for the Beatles.
I've seen video previews of this show on YouTube
and it looks mind-blowing.
What you would expect pretty much.
This is very, very quickly become my favorite song of this.
As much as I loved Billie Jean all these years,
this song has pretty much taken its place.
This is a stop down for me every time.
That's going to do it for music talk.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
We are live every Tuesday night.

Wow, let's talk a little MMA get the blood flowing again.
UFC 139 took place this last weekend.
Phil and I caught a couple of these fights
at a local eating establishment.
A local eating establishment.
Yeah, I'm not going to give them a plug.
They're not sponsoring this one.
Forever floors and more, they get a plug.
Hey, Garmin, Texas.
9722 2701288 for all of your flooring needs.
Talk to them again.
I can't say enough good things.
When you can, when my wives can look at me and say,
these guys are going to do a phenomenal job and they took care of me.
That's all I need done deal.
That's all I need to know.
Forever floors and more 972 2701288 in Garland, Texas.
I mean, I didn't know there were so many different kinds of floors.
You know, I have to boggles the mind how many kinds are there.
And you're like, I don't know too many.
Too many to count.
My brain exploded at one point.
John, are you actually looking for the thing?
He's looking at it.
UFC 139, let's just get to the main fights.
Heavyweight fights, step and boner.
It's a unanimous decision over Kyle Kingsbury.
He apologized after the fight.
He's like, I should have finished him and I just didn't.
It just, it got to be one of those.
He apologized?
Yeah, because it got to be at the point where you're just like,
can somebody just win this fight?
Is there on the ground and grappling?
And you're just like, dude, hit him.
Finish him.
I still think that that happens.
Don't shout out on and finish him.
I still think that that happens.
You should be able to get up and tickle with that.
Get it, get it, get it.
Tickle torture.
I'm just saying.
Well, he is laser focused on something over there.
John, John's trying to find out I have no Twitter.
Then you had Rick, the horror story losing to Martin Campman
in a split decision.
There was a lot of blood mismatch.
A lot.
Both guys were bleeding.
So he lived up to his namesake.
Yeraya favors Submitz, Brian Bulls,
in an amazing second round submission.
That's always, that's all I was hearing about this whole event
was it may be the best UFC event in history.
Yeraya favor was amazing in this fight.
He wants a shot of the title.
Cungley loses to Wanderlei Silva in a TKO in the second round.
All I was hearing about was Cungley.
This guy's going to be awesome.
He got knocked out, son.
And then Dan Henderson beats Shogun Rua in a unanimous decision in it.
And remember, it made event fights
where there's a title on the line or not,
UFC now.
They're five rounds.
These guys went five rounds.
Henderson gets the decision.
And by the way, the Wanderlei Silva knockout,
there was 31 seconds left in the second round.
Your next UFC event will be a week from this Saturday
in the Open Fighter finale followed by the coaches fight.
I guess they're taking this week off.
They're going to do the semi's next week.
Take thanks, Kevin.
I'll let you do that.
Sure want to.
Give me a solid.
You know, we need on the show a few more nickel-backed themes.
Okay, Mr. trivia.
What soundtrack is this on?
Is this off on?
Yes, sir.
I couldn't tell you that.
We Charlie's Angels full throttle.
Oh, thank you.
And this has to do with what?
Saturday night's all right for fighting.
That's what we do in the MMA segment.
Okay.
That's what we do in the MMA segment.
That's the way we do it.
Oh, that's a bad thing.
You know, I love these guys.
Make sure you visit our website,
www.theclubhousewithRobinCody.com.
Visit our merchandise store.
Get you a t-shirt.
When we do these live events,
we want to see people in our gear.
Julie needs a t-shirt, John.
Christmas presents.
I'm telling you.
What you're doing is like,
if he buys me a t-shirt,
I won't fill him with this thing.
Phil needs a t-shirt.
You know, I received it in a chat room.
Nickelback every paid WWE pay for you.
I'm in.
I'm in.
People in Detroit stop complaining.
If you were losing,
nobody would care that they're doing the halftime, Chef.
That is so ridiculous.
It's me, man.
It makes me mad.
Apparently, Nickelback did respond, though.
Oh, they did?
But it's a funny or die video.
Which I've got to now watch,
because that makes it even better.
Oh, so you don't know what the response is.
I haven't seen it.
But I just saw that it's from Funny or Die.
I'm like, okay, even better.
Which apparently,
Piper did the other day himself.
He did a Piper's bid on Funny or Die.
I'm like, okay, I need to get in on this.
But your auntie leader runs that site,
so you can't go that side.
Yeah, you're right.
I got to go.
Person of interest.
This is a segment that we do each and every week
on this show,
where we take a person or an entity
and we talk about what could or could not be
the greatness of that personal entity.
I, the pendulum swings to me this week.
John, I want your opinion on this,
because you're a guy that I know has
participated in this entity as much as I have.
We're going to talk about ESPN films.
And I will encompass 30 on 30 into this discussion.
You kind of have to.
30 on 30.
Great.
Consistent.
Like,
I would agree.
ESPN films, not so much.
I'm talking about like three and stuff like that.
The stuff they did this year.
Okay.
Like, catching hell.
Which was supposed to,
let's see, here's my thing.
That was supposed to be about Barton.
I don't need 40 minutes of Bill Buckner.
I know that story.
That story has been well documented.
I don't need to,
I don't need you to rehash it for 40 minutes.
I think it kind of helped set the story up though about Bartman.
But if you're watching this thing,
you know what happened with Bill Buckner.
Not everybody.
Not everybody.
My wife watched you with me.
She didn't know anything, maybe the one of them.
Okay. Could you have paused it and explained it to her?
Huh?
Could you have explained it to her in 30 seconds?
Yeah, I could have,
but I think they did a better job than I could have.
But to me, it wasn't about Bill Buckner.
It was advertised to be about Barton.
That's the story I wanted to hear.
Because that's a story that wasn't very well documented.
In my opinion.
Well, they couldn't. He wouldn't sit down with anybody.
Yeah, but nobody's even gone as far as that guy,
the guy that did the documentary did.
That was my thing.
That's what I, that's what, that's why you called.
Well, but it kind of explained why they,
to me, just with the content of what they did on Bartman,
kind of explains why they had to include Buckner.
Because they're really what net much about Bartman to tell.
Because the apartment wouldn't talk.
And I'll tell you as the last one they did
was the best one in this year.
Which one?
Rollside War Eagle.
Oh, I haven't seen about Alabama Auburn.
I haven't seen another one.
That's phenomenal.
That one could have been a two hour.
And I'd have been happy with it.
Although they gave the guy that killed the trees
way too much of a camera time.
That kind of takes me off.
But they talk about the entire history of the rivalry
of Auburn and Alabama.
That's the best one they've done this year.
So as, but as far as this series as a whole.
We talking, you know,
peaks and valleys.
There's a bit consistent across the board.
They have released all the ones they've done this year
on DVD this week.
They also did a special edition of the 30 on 30.
I still don't think they did 30 of those.
I didn't see Mike some of them,
but I don't think I've been keeping track of all of them.
But that has been some amazing film making.
I just think that ESPN films now needs to up their game
to get back to the level of 30 on 30.
Well, like, what would you say?
We're like, if you could pick like your
the five best examples of ESPN films and 30 on.
John, you're sitting down, right?
The you.
Yeah.
This is phenomenal.
Pony access.
Oh my gosh, phenomenal.
Who killed the USFL was phenomenal.
Yeah.
Jimmy the Greek was phenomenal.
I haven't seen that.
That was the first one.
I haven't seen that one either, no.
Without bias was phenomenal.
Yeah, the one with the one by the only 30 for 30.
I didn't like was the one about Matt Hoffman.
And I don't know it's because I'm not a BMX guy.
I didn't see that one either.
It was very, very, I turned it off that way.
The ones I really like was like the Reggie Miller Spike Lee thing.
That one I thought was good, but not phenomenal.
They went not phenomenal, but it was really it was entertaining.
The other one I put in that same category that was that was
watchable, but I wouldn't watch it again if it was on
was the Marion Jones one.
Yeah, that one didn't do much for me.
I would say that one other.
They talk about her whole deal.
They they they they she goes back to the prison she was in.
Yeah, they they walk her through the whole thing.
The Esco bars two Esco bars was amazing.
Wow.
I always I out by you want to keep see.
You remember that shot in the two Esco bars
where the goalie catches the ball his feet come up over his head.
Yeah, that's just that's burned into my brain.
It's probably burned into his too, because I think his feet
touched his brain in the in the chat room.
The markets do pre one very good.
Ricky Williams.
Yeah, Ricky Williams.
It was very, very good.
The markets to pre that was a good one too.
The one about the Croatian basketball team.
Oh, it was with Vlade.
Was it Vlade?
Yes, it was Vlade.
But that was an ESPN film stuff.
That wasn't a 34th.
Well, I'm saying just I don't think wasn't
encompassing the whole the whole thing.
That one.
That if you're not at least got a little lump in your throat
at the end of that thing, then you don't have a soul.
That was just heartbreaking to watch.
So ESPN films not as great as 30 for 30.
That's the verdict.
Do you prepare for video game 40 20 wait until next week?
We're running a little running a little long.
That's fine.
We'll put on video game credit until next week.
Okay, because we need to go on campus.
A lot going on in college football right now.
If you want a more in depth look into college football.
Listen to Cody's playbook or the playbook with Cody Hawkins
every Sunday morning right here on this you stream channel.
You can catch this week's.
Oh, also the also asked about the Fernandez.
The picture from the Dodgers.
Oh, balance well.
Balance well.
That wasn't a good two.
But listen to the playbook with Cody Hawkins.
He gives you all the everything you need to know about college football and then some.
Yeah, Cody, that's his bread and butter.
Joe Paterno, we find out this past week.
Diagnose with a treatable form of one cancer.
I'm not going to go in depth to what's going on at Penn State.
We all know what's going on.
There's nothing that's come out this past week.
That's made me want to talk about it anyway.
However, Syracuse having the same problems now.
Lord, but they're basketball.
Yep, but this guy saying this isn't true.
I've been to this investigation already.
I was there was nothing found.
So why is it coming up again?
Because of the Penn State thing because you know what the media does now.
It's hard to for for people that are in the mass public
to have objective opinions anymore.
The media wants to be the first one to tell you what happened.
Instead of saying the word allegedly, which we love on this show,
doesn't get used enough anymore in my opinion.
I agree.
And you're tried.
If you're tried, you can pick it in a court of public opinion anyway.
Let's go ahead and do this next one.
I'll work on what kind of downside of this.
We want to send our best out to the Oklahoma State family.
Lost their women's basketball coach and then assistant in a plane crash
before the weekend.
I mean, I'm not a recruiting trip.
Almost 10 years to the day after the last.
Yep, until the moment they had it with their men's basketball team.
So our hearts of minds go out to them.
We do want to say on that note, we do want to say congratulations to Rich Rodriguez.
Arizona.
Yep.
Got a new job.
He did.
Is it just me?
Or does he just keep moving farther and farther west?
Where is he from?
He started at West Virginia.
Does anyone to Michigan?
Appalachia.
Was he born on the west coast?
He's just trying to migrate back or something?
I guess.
Oh, hold on.
Appalachia midwest.
Now he's in the desert now.
Now he's going to California school to be next.
And then I guess Hawaii after that.
But you know what this might be, but this might be good for him.
I thought when he got hired at Michigan,
oh wow, they said that the pilot that flew that plane with Oklahoma was 87 years old.
What?
That's the worst thing in the chat room.
But back to the Rich Rod thing.
I think this is going to be good for him.
It's not nearly as visible of a job as Michigan was.
He was probably a little bit over his head on that one.
Yeah, but I mean, I admired the dude for taking it.
Oh yeah.
You know, I mean, God bless him because
you've got to go in there with Michigan.
You have to win right now.
And you got to be a Michigan.
And he was like 15 and 15 and 68 or something.
Not sure the numbers, but it wasn't doing.
Yeah.
But you know, our best luck to him.
You know, I'm not going to tell the dude that he can't coach.
And with the way
stoops was dealing over there with the way Mike stoops had that program running.
He can win.
He can get bull eligible and be Vince Lamarty in that town.
Nothing against Mike stoops, but maybe he wasn't ready to be a head coach yet.
I'm sure Bob will take him back.
Let's talk about your BCS rankings.
Oregon at number 10, Oklahoma at nine Houston at eight.
We're going to talk about all these teams in a minute.
Boise State seven Stanford six Virginia Tech five Oklahoma State drops the four.
Arkansas, Alabama, LSU.
The SEC dominates the podium right now.
Yes, he was.
Yes, he was.
I'm so excited about this.
You have it as a destination.
Probably not.
If you're not an SEC fan, you hate this.
You hate this.
We have a hammer lock on this.
But it's because you know what we have and it's one of my favorite things to have right now.
Chaos.
Well, you think you have it now.
Oh, if Arkansas beats LSU, I'm Friday.
I think you got a chaos now.
Let's talk about who showed up and who didn't speaking of which for this week.
Who showed up?
The aforementioned Michigan.
Congratulations with a 45 17 win over Nebraska.
These were two ranked teams.
Michigan was 20 Nebraska at 17.
You're boy.
Denard Robinson.
11 for 18 for 180 yards.
Two touchdowns in a pick.
He rushes 23 times for 83 yards and scores to more.
Do you feel a big time?
That's why we had to do it.
I can't.
We're going to create what we produced actors.
We didn't produce that.
Hey, it's an MMA fighter.
Better than that.
Well, not the high school.
Better than Steve Fagan.
Yeah.
And better than one.
Ross Sarpa.
Michigan 418 yards total offense only one turnover and forced three.
And they only gave up 260.
Michigan's starting to get the wheels on this thing.
Running back fits Gerald Tucson 29 rushes for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
Big 10 football.
What do we say?
Big 10 football run run run run run.
That's why they game take seven hours.
Is is it time for a change in Nebraska?
Is the Polini era over?
I would have to agree with that.
Yes, we thought with the way that that Nebraska's been playing the last few years,
the big 10's going to be great for that.
They can't win their way out of paper back in that they can't beat the big.
They can't beat the big ones.
So you come out and you beat the defending champ and then after that.
Yep, you got nothing.
Michigan 238 yards on the ground 180 in the air.
It's good balance, but it's still big 10 football.
If you're running back, you want to go to a big 10 score.
That's what I was saying.
Hugh, let's talk about Houston.
Can we please talk about Houston?
It's like I've said, I'm putting Houston in this thing when the show just because it's a bit now.
Game day was in Houston.
For Houston, SMU.
Game day was in Houston.
We're, of course, I'll drop the F bomb.
Oh, did he really?
I didn't hear about that.
And they threw out it.
There's a there's a staff one and this is why Houston's a bit.
SMU is the first top 50 defense they've seen all year.
Now granted, they beat them like a drum 37 to 7.
But this is why this is a bit for me.
But they still put up 513 yards in no turnovers.
Just something, right?
Case Kingdom 30 for 45 for 318 yards in a touchdown.
Oh, yeah.
And he rushed four times for 19 yards and another touchdown.
Through to eight different receivers, but none of them broke out.
Down goes Frazier.
Oh, man, he got hit hard.
They ran 78 plays.
SMU only ran 66.
And this is not a slouch SMU team.
That's a musical decent team.
It's not the early 80s, but it's better than it's been for a long time.
Oh, yeah.
I know only two penalties for 11 yards for Houston.
That's impressive.
I saw it very impressive for anybody.
Anybody?
Yes.
Michigan take back Chad Henney.
Funny.
Um,
here's here's my thing.
Somebody put on Facebook last week.
Well, you know, if Houston wins out,
they can play Alabama in the cotton bowl.
You want no part of Alabama.
I don't care in that game.
I don't care if Alabama's favored by a thousand.
You mortgage your house on it.
Alabama will destroy you.
That would not be pretty.
No, it would.
Now let's talk about, oh, we got one more NC state.
37 to 13 went over Clemson.
Has the Clemson Lacey's in meltdown arrived?
I will steal.
If I am home in front of my TV,
I will still watch that game this weekend.
Clemson South Carolina.
I will watch that game.
That big a game.
Their top performer was running back Mike Bellamy,
who was seven rushes for 11 yards in a touchdown.
That was that was Clemson's top performer.
They didn't really need to win that game
only for national rankings,
but they already clinched a vision.
So they were just like, okay,
neither team broke 400 yards total office.
They gave up two of 14 on third down.
I'm sorry.
NC State's top performer was Mike Bellamy.
They gave up two for 14 on third down.
1.2 yards per rush.
The seven point four.
No turnovers though.
So there's that who didn't show up this week.
Oklahoma State.
The hopes of the big 12 were in your hands.
Down in flames and aims.
And then we go to over,
we got to double over time against Iowa State,
lose 37 to 31.
Let's compare, let's compare quarterbacks, okay?
Brandon Wheaton, Oklahoma State.
42 for 58 for 476 yards,
three touchdowns and three picks.
This cat threw the ball 58 times.
On the other hand, Iowa State, Jared Bennett,
31 for 58 for 376 yards,
three touchdowns and two picks.
Combine them together.
There's 73 for 116 for 852 yards,
six touchdowns and five picks.
If you're a fan of offensive football,
there you go.
It ain't the big pen.
That ain't the big ten.
They put up 536 yards and they gave up 568.
They also gave up seven of 17 on third down to Iowa State.
Iowa State ran 101 plays.
Oklahoma State ran 76.
This is the number two team in the country until Sunday.
Number two.
Their defense been suspecting Iowa State showed it.
But no running back on either side, hit 100 yards.
But they had 10 penalties for 87 yards.
I don't think even a vocal home estate goes out
and wins bedlam.
I don't think they did.
Now you've got another situation where one and two
are playing each other.
One of them is going to knock you out.
I'll burn, I'll burn, I'll burn, I'll have to beat Alabama.
I'll just use God, but he's got to beat Arkansas.
Can we take a moment and talk about our common enemy?
That would be a lower state.
Yes sir.
What happened to you, Florida State?
In a 14-13 loss to the Virginia Commodores.
Virginia Cavaliers.
Ah, actually.
Codores.
Vanderbilt.
Oh that's right.
That would be another...
Florida State has to learn how to finish a game.
Half to finish.
Half to finish, half to finish.
Another missfield goal.
Did he go wide right?
Left.
Okay, let's think it's right.
Well, you've got to balance it out.
You know, it's been about a bunch of wide rides.
We've got a few in through a wide left too.
Virginia only had 316 yards of total offense in this game.
No fourth down attempts by either team.
There was...
And again, no running backs with 100.
Only one receiver that barely hitches the trick.
Actually, if Florida State did have a first down,
a fourth down attempt, but it was a wipe down by that 15-yard face pass.
We'll see there you go.
And they had 11 penalties for 94 yards.
Also, the only other team that I had that didn't show up this week.
We talked about Oklahoma State.
We got to talk about their rival.
Oklahoma's out of it.
Let's take a fork in them.
In a 45-38 loss to Baylor,
this team has to find consistency.
When Robert Griffin III goes 21 for 34 for 479 yards and four touchdowns.
Do you put this guy...
Do you put this guy in your high school conversation?
I think you put him in the conversation.
Do you invite him to New York?
Because right now, I can't tell you who's going to win the high school.
Usually, by now, I can give you two or three guys that I think have a legitimate shot.
I think Andrew Luck has a legitimate shot.
Luck does.
You know who I think...
I think does Keenum in the...
But you know who I think you're leading candidate is right now?
Kid for Morgan running back?
Yes.
To me, that's your leading candidate.
I can't give you another person that I think has a shot right now.
Hey, look at this.
He's getting love for both of us in the chat rooms.
There's go-kains and U.S.F. bowls.
That's America, sir.
That's him and I didn't even write that.
You got two-thirds of the room covered.
One comment.
I got another one.
Oklahoma had 11 less yards than Baylor and gave up three turnovers.
Baylor did not commit any turnovers.
Oklahoma had two fumbles lost both of them and they had 87 plays to 73.
Baylor was three of 13 on third down and you still lose to him?
I don't get that.
Landry Jones, though, 36 of 51 for 447 yards but he had a pick.
Landry's playing very inconsistently and I'm not afraid to say it.
But I'll tell you something.
This kid, number 22, running back Roy Finch for Oklahoma,
this kid's the future.
I saw him play last year.
This kid, he wears 22 for a reason brother.
He runs just like him.
Fearless right right up the gut.
You just need to quit losing to those teams.
17 rushes for 95 yards.
Texas, tech and Baylor, yeah.
Let me tell you something, Oklahoma.
95 yards and penalties.
Gonna kill you every time.
Oh yeah.
Gonna kill you every time.
That's who showed up and who didn't.
Big weekend in college football this weekend.
If there's one weekend a year that you need to buckle down and watch college football,
my friend, this is it.
I'll agree with you on that one.
This, and I think you do this, you know.
You'll let the wives and the girlfriends go do the Black Friday shopping.
Brother, I'm on the couch.
I understand what I'm saying.
Yeah, much to Julie's with this man.
Yes, I'll be okay.
That's not a one.
If she gets too mad, just come over here, man.
Go watch it here.
That's the point I was wanting to get back to.
Have you seen this new target campaign?
They actually have Rebecca Black's Friday as the theme song.
Like Friday.
I was like shoot the TV, yeah.
Let's go to the other, let's go from Saturday to Sunday.
Talk a little NFL.
Breaking news that happened just before we went on the air.
Kyle Orton has been waved by the Denver Broncos.
And now we find out he's been cut.
So somebody wants to spend $2.4 million.
There's a guy that'll do it for you.
Chiefs.
I still think the Texans.
The Texans choose.
Because the Texans with, with Matt Shaw about,
I just don't trust Matt Liner.
I don't.
You never know, bears too.
Yeah, bears could use him.
Please don't put my work, don't, don't, don't.
Oh no.
The dolphins were just putting them.
No, no, no, no.
Stay away from Miami.
Stay away from Miami.
We don't want him there.
I didn't want far there.
I don't want him there.
Jake Cutler.
We talked about Chicago could be out the rest of the year
with a fracture thumb on his throwing hand.
He hit the ground hard.
Did you see that?
Sometimes the quarterback's got to go, you know what?
That's a shame.
Dion never tackles.
I don't get to.
But that's, that's the M.O.
with Chicago though.
You know, Cutler's been playing well.
Forte.
Forte.
He's Russian like.
You know, this guy's a fence fan.
We're a fence, we're a fence.
John are both huge fence fans.
Can't be a worse backup than JP.
You know, but JP was not that bad.
He just had that good.
Let's talk about week 11.
Chad, you ready?
Go for it.
Okay.
You look like you're losing focus over there a little bit.
Thursday night football last week.
The Denver Broncos over the New York Jets 17 to 13.
Tim Tibo.
Kids winning.
That's all you need to know.
And the Jets lost.
And the Jets lost.
Yes.
We always like a Jets loss.
That was a good day for that was that alone.
It made your day.
Cody's dark horse.
The Minnesota Vikings lose to.
The Oakland Raiders.
27 to 21 Carson Palmer.
No picks this week.
Didn't help that the Pearson got hurt too.
Oh, there's that.
Christian Ponder, 19 to 33, 211, two touchdowns, but three picks.
I feel bad for Christian Ponder.
I really do.
This has been put in a bad situation.
Let's be honest.
Our beloved Miley Dolphins have now won three games in a row.
35 to 8.
That's a win streak, sir.
Three is a win streak.
Oh, yeah.
Matt Moore, 14 to 20 160 yards and three touchdowns.
I can't say that I trust the dude yet,
but he's trying to win me over really bad.
I'm not getting too excited.
It's Matt Moore.
That's true, but we're winning.
He's going to wake up and he's realizing that more.
The Baltimore Ravens over the Cincinnati Bengals 31 to 24 in a game
that came down to the wire.
Again, I love the red zone channel.
That's a great channel ever.
Because I watch every game, I don't even have to click.
Ray Rice, 20 rushes for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
Cedric Benson had about half that, but he still had two touchdowns.
The Cleveland Browns, did you watch any of this game?
No thank goodness.
Do you watch any of the highlights?
No thank goodness.
This got testiest again.
Cleveland wins 14-10.
Cleveland almost loses this on a completely blown call.
Kick the field goal.
They wave it off.
Now, from the angle behind the goalposts,
it looked like it was no good.
Okay.
From the angle in front of the goalposts,
it looked like it was no good.
If you look at the angle of the goalposts cam, it was in.
Kickers freaking out.
Well, Jacksonville starts to drive and they're driving
at a clock swinding down.
I'm like, if Jacksonville wins this game,
fourth in goal, Cleveland stops him on the one.
And the kickers just like,
thank you.
I'm like, I'm going to go to the bathroom now.
It was a crazy ending.
Dallas.
How many times can Dallas try to give away a game?
Did you watch any of this, debacle?
They wanted, apparently they wanted Washington to win this.
Just over time, that's something.
They wanted to, they were trying to snatch the feet out of the jaws of victory.
Roma back to his pedestrian day, 23 of 37, 292 and 3 touchdowns.
He got the touchdowns, but he didn't have the accuracy that he had the week before.
Listen, my beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers could not get the, they fought.
But Tampa Bay may have shined a light on something.
Like Garrett Blunt ran all over them,
being the green Bay Packers who are still undefeated.
They, they may have shown a weakness in that green Bay defense.
If you can, if you can get a strong runner up the middle,
you can score on green Bay.
So I'm hoping whoever got, whoever they got left on a schedule, take notes.
I need somebody to beat them, please.
Very important to me.
The Detroit Lions try to lose, but end up beating Kamadutun
and the Carolina Panthers 49 to 35.
Matt Stafford 28 of 36, 335, 5 touchdowns.
Ah, two picks.
But let me, let me look at Kamadutun.
22 of 38, 281 touchdown four picks.
Well, this kid's learned what it's like to lose.
Because remember, this one, this first two weeks.
We're like, this is, this is a human.
Did you see what one of the defenders from Detroit did?
Made a big play.
You know, Kamadutun does, I'm pulling my shirt back on Superman.
Yeah.
He pulled it back, buttoned it up and said.
Greatness.
Surprise, I didn't get him a taunting penalty.
San Francisco wins again.
Beating Arizona like a drum 23 to 7.
I said, last week's show, this might be a game.
I was wrong.
This just is the base of me that they're 9-1.
Sam Farball.
Sam Farball, new coach.
You still got Alex Smith as your quarterback and your 9-1.
And Alex Smith, 20-38, 267 yards, two touchdowns in a pick.
Somebody woke up and told Alex Smith he was a quarterback.
It's been such an odd season with Detroit and San Francisco coming on as strong as they have.
The woes in St. Louis continue as Seattle beats them like a drum 24 to 7.
Marshawn Lynch, 27 Russia's 88 yards in a touchdown.
What else can you say Chicago?
Jay Cutler beat Nuck.
San Diego is melting down.
They usually do their spoon at the beginning of the year, not during the middle of the game.
They're just losing it when it counts as they lose 31 to 20 to San Diego.
Jay Cutler, 18 to 31, 28 to 86, two touchdowns in a pick.
Let me tell you something.
You don't think they're going to miss him.
You're on your mind.
North Turner's time is running out.
Then in the game, if you're an NFC East fan, you wish would end in a 0-0 tie.
Does not as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New York Giants 17 to 10.
Vince Young, 23 of 36, 258 yards, two touchdowns, three picks.
They won.
I mean, what else can you say they won?
They won the vision game.
Atlanta beats Tennessee 23 to 17.
Matt Ryan, 22 of 32s, 316 yards in a touchdown, and New England last night.
I said it's going to depend on which Kansas City team showed up.
The wrong one showed up as they go down.
Yeah, they go down the New England 34 to three and the Braun Kowski show.
This kid is forced for catches 96 yards and two touchdowns.
Did you see the second one where he jumped up flipped over landed on his neck and got kind of
woozy when he got up and they asked him after the game.
Did you have concussion-like syndromes and he said no because if I say yes,
I won't be able to play next week.
Oh God.
Awkward.
Oh, by the way, yes sir.
Detroit's last, I'm sorry, done to Troy.
Green Bay's last six games at Detroit this Thanksgiving day.
Right.
At the Giants.
Home against the Raiders.
At the Chiefs.
No.
Home against the Bears and home against Lions.
They're at the Lions twice.
Wow.
Wow, you're going to be in them.
You're going to be in such an underman Thursday.
No, I'm not because I'm going to eat turkey and watch football.
Well, I've been under them there.
Well, no, I'm just saying you're going to you're going to be so stressed out.
Let's look forward to this week starting on Thursday.
Get up early because it's on an 1130 central time.
Green Bay at Detroit.
This is going to be a war.
This could be the best game in the weekend.
Our beloved Miami Dolphins come to Dallas for the midday game.
Because it's a triple header now on Thanksgiving day.
The late game San Francisco at Baltimore.
Jim Harball complaining about having to come across three time zones.
Here's a tip.
You're in Cincinnati right now.
You're not traveling across the country.
We're going to be okay.
They stayed over in Cincinnati.
They didn't go anywhere.
Still in the Eastern time zone though.
Yeah.
So they're somewhere they complain and you're playing the late game.
Poor little millionaire football player.
Then we get a Sunday morning Buffalo at the Jets.
Buffalo after paying Ryan Fitzpatrick all that money now.
Got a bunch of nothing.
Oh, and three.
Yeah.
And they're one and four on the road.
The Jets need to rebound.
I think the Jets are a little after the Denver loss.
Cleveland at Cincinnati.
Cleveland trying to get the 500 but they're one in three on the road.
Minnesota at Atlanta.
That's not going to be pretty.
I think Atlanta is going to destroy the business there.
There's two in eight.
Let me have an awful fight song.
Allegedly.
I don't think they ever officially adopted that thing.
Carolina who can't win on the road
goes to play the O-10 Indianapolis Colts
and the fight for the basement.
Something's got to give.
Something's going to give.
Somebody's going to get it.
Yeah, the floor of the basement.
By the way, I remember kids.
That's the home of the Super Bowl this year.
So let's just say the streak of no team has ever played
the Super Bowl in their home stadium.
That's intact.
My beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers go to the Tennessee Titans.
We have got it.
We are one and three on the road.
We got to get a win.
Houston.
My dark horse Houston Texans going to go beat up on them.
Jacksonville Jaguars who will very soon be the Oklahoma City Jaguars.
I can tend that.
Arizona at St. Louis.
Do you need a mid-afternoon nap?
Because if you get it at one o'clock,
he's turned on Sunday.
If you watch this game.
Is anybody in St. Louis even bothering to turn your TV?
Arizona is one game better than St. Louis right now.
But that's ain't good.
They're one in five on the road.
St. Louis is one in four at home.
They're going to find two and nine in this situation.
Chicago goes to Oakland.
I'm here.
That's going to be rough.
That Oakland team.
They're very skitsome though.
This is another one of those which team shows up.
Is it the Oakland Raiders or is it the Oakland Raiders?
We don't know.
I think of the Fadden's back when I think Oakland takes care of this.
The Omaha Jaguars.
Would you put a professional football team into basketball?
No.
Washington travels to Seattle.
Washington's one in four on the road this year.
And they're going to Seattle where it rains nine months out of the year.
Washington, but after that hot start,
Washington's three at seven just me.
For Grossman.
You know me.
I've got this.
I don't write it anyway.
New England at Philadelphia.
Another game that you wish would end in a zero zero tie.
Not if you have Tom Brady's your fantasy quarterback.
No, you do, don't you?
Fill it.
You're going to fill his one in four at home this year.
Are they really?
Denver at San Diego.
Let's go Broncos.
Continue the very bad day that Phillip Rivers has been having for the last month.
Your night games Sunday.
Pittsburgh at Kansas City.
Oh, they are now saying and Rocklessburger will play in this game.
I don't think it's going to matter.
Hi, but you know what?
I mean, Pittsburgh seven and three, which is kind of, but I mean,
that's still three games better than Kansas City, but
I would if I'm a if I'm a palco, I'm a cheese fan.
And even if I'm a seasoned ticket holder, I don't know why go this game.
Then Monday night Monday night, I think it's going to get ugly.
As the New York Giants head to New Orleans to play the Saints,
the red hot Saints right now who are undefeated at home.
That would be good game.
That could be that seven and three record to me is very deceiving.
That's a good seven and three team.
I saw sports in a commercial today where they're all jammed up trying to get
into the complex.
There's a Marty Garofold, it's very narrow, just back off.
Funny, that's been around for a while.
Street light on street lights on street light is on.
Which means it's time for the list.
Chad sent me a list I called an audible,
because I want to say Chad's list for next week.
I worked hard on that thing.
But you understand why I had to go.
Oh, absolutely, absolutely.
This is not a protest.
I was like darn it, but okay.
Is this Thanksgiving week?
So we have to do a Thanksgiving list.
I agree, I agree.
I didn't even think about it.
So I came up with the top 10 great things about Thanksgiving.
And can we get some mood, some mood music for this?
And I know where you're going.
I'm sorry, shocker car, but we have to do some mood music.
They want to hit a Thanksgiving song.
No shock.
What's the next thing we saw in our hope you enjoyed?
Number 10.
Chad actually wanted to do this first,
there's the item as person of interest.
But I said no, because we're going to put on one.
So number 10, agree or disagree.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
John says no.
I love the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Here's my thing with the Macy's Thanksgiving something good.
I ain't getting up that night.
Now I did see apparently NBC is going to rerun it,
I think on Saturday night.
I've never seen that before, but I think I believe I saw that on my
guy that the NBC is going to rerun the parade.
Well, I mean, it used to be the, it used to be the only show in town
on on Thanksgiving warning.
But now you've got the all-American Thanksgiving Day Parade
and they'll show you the lady.
God, God, Thanksgiving special.
That's going to be, don't even, don't even start with the parade kind of guy.
But well, I marched it enough.
Well, but you know what you get the whole you get to see.
Sometimes you get to see some of the Broadway shows at presentations and,
you know, you got to say, if they're, I think that's one thing,
but just sitting there and watching on TV.
There's no way in hell I would be at that parade.
No, November in New York.
Listen to Al Roker, whoever does it.
Just like I'd never do New Year's even times.
It was, it was a thing.
I enjoyed my mom.
It's still in my first of my life.
Yeah, and that's why I want to make sure this was on list.
Because I know there was some of it, a tradition.
Yeah, I put your mom.
Something my mom was really, really big on.
It's something that, you know, whenever I was living on my own.
And actually I was staying with her for a few years,
making my transition.
That didn't sound good at all.
I'm not here to judge you.
I was going from a divorce guy to, you know,
and Thanksgiving took on an entirely new meaning for me.
Oh, sure.
And this was something that while we were living together,
she was making sure that we did together.
Thanksgiving morning.
It really meant the world to me.
And this will be my first day.
Thanksgiving without her.
So it's going to take on an even more pointed meaning for me this year.
Sure.
Number nine.
Go back to a couple of weeks ago.
Yeah, it happens in autumn.
Yeah, my favorite time of year.
Number eight, it starts the season of giving.
And I'm a big proponent in just giving in general.
I wish it would be year round.
But since it's not,
I'll take what I can get.
And this is the season of giving.
No, you'll get what you can give.
If you watch the cowboy game on Thursday,
they'll do the big Salvation Army thing at halftime.
They already got the Bill Ringers out in front of the car.
They've been out for like three weeks.
Not really.
They might be person of interest only.
Not the Salvation Army, just the Bill Ringers.
Because I like the Salvation Army.
I'm all about the Salvation Army.
Number seven.
Four-day weekend, unless you're John, you're going to five-day weekend.
You know, when we were kids,
we only got Friday and Saturday.
Now they get the whole freaking week.
Not in Mesquite, they don't.
Bill's kids have the whole week.
But they're dead.
No, these Bill does too, where it really works.
I think the kids may even still be going to school tomorrow around here.
I'm not sure.
We went Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Yeah, exactly.
We always did.
Number six.
Friday, I get to start listening to Christmas music.
I know we have radio stations in the sound.
We have two that have been playing Christmas music for three weeks.
Yeah, I do not touch Christmas music.
Even if my iPods on Shuffle,
I click past it.
Ooh, I just got an idea for the list.
Unless it's Friday of this week through Christmas Day.
I become Christmas music intensive.
If you're in my car,
we will be listening to Christmas.
Like XM series has four channels completely devoted to Christmas music.
That's definitely just last week.
And that's why I love Christmas music.
Because you don't listen to it four weeks ago.
Number five, you get to see some of your family spend a little bit of time.
This year, not so much.
We're not traveling.
But just that whole concept that the family get together.
That people kind of go out of their way to make it happen.
Yeah, Christmas and Thanksgiving.
That's what Thanksgiving's all about.
Getting together with family.
John Lennon called Turkey.
Because I think.
Number four, we talked about earlier Black Friday.
John, we were talking.
I don't know if you were on that side of town today.
Where the best buy is and the ski.
No, two tents already pumped out.
That was on the news last night.
There's a day.
John said there's one up in Denton.
But then he found out why this guy's
do you want to just go ahead and share that, John?
Why this guy's camped out?
I'm not sure exactly why the reason why.
But I can only assume that that spice
having that was a 42 inch sharp for $199, $199.
That's redeeming guilt.
That's even got me rethinking.
I mean, just drive by and just give that guy a couple hundred bucks.
Can you get the TV for me?
Just call a brother.
It's probably a 720 with no HDMI.
Oh, it's 1080p.
It is a 1080p.
Wow.
As the show completely stops, we go to Geek Corner.
Oh, 1080p.
Number three, just some downtime, man.
Most people just need some downtime.
Yeah.
Number two, we just got done talking about it for a half an hour.
Football, football, football, football, football that I've mentioned.
Football.
I think you need to go ahead.
College and Pro.
Because when the pros are done, college is still going with.
Yeah.
And college is going through Friday and Saturday.
I don't tell you, this is the way we can watch college football.
It just is.
And number one,
booed.
Here he is.
I love Turkey.
I do too.
I think three.
I thank God for Boston Market.
So I can get a fix all year round if I want to.
And I don't have to just rely on.
But you know what?
Also a bit of the ham.
See, I'd never been a real big big.
Go get you a honey baked ham brother.
Honey baked ham.
Yes.
Honey baked ham is good.
That's what we did for Christmas last year.
Yeah.
I went to the honey baked ham store.
It was old.
Hey, you should go to Rudy's.
For you saying what you should say.
Oh, I, I, I, I, I, he's got one right this street.
I know, right?
Apparently Richardson and Dallas both are in school this week.
Okay.
There is one other thing that, uh, please do, sir.
I guess they kind of, did you get to start listening to Christmas?
Usually, but I know a lot of people have made it a tradition to where one
of the Thanksgiving meal is over and the things, you know,
picked up and cleaned up for the tree.
They both, they bust out the decorations and start decorating.
Let's not tell the next day.
My mom does that Thanksgiving.
She puts up the tree.
Well, you got black Friday on the list.
You know, so yeah, but that's, that's when, to me,
that's when you do that.
You do that on Fridays in the women shopping and the men stay behind
and put, put, put, hang the lights on the house.
That's not me.
And, and hopefully they don't, hopefully they don't break their crazy neck on the
ladder as they say in clerks.
But that's it.
That's another thing I should have put after Thanksgiving.
I get to start watching my Christmas movies.
For Christmas movies.
Christmas vacation.
Christmas story.
Every year without bed, which by the way, on the way over here.
I think I was listening to Holly.
Whatever it was, it was the exam station.
And Mavis's Christmas vacation.
That movie is so great.
Which still is not my favorite.
Screw, it's a wonderful life.
Christmas vacation, Christmas, Christmas movie.
A Christmas story is mine.
Let's see, a lot of people are burned out on a Christmas story for the same reason.
I'm burnt out on it's a wonderful life.
Because they play a 24 hour straight on TNT.
And between Friday and Christmas day, it's a wonderful life.
We'll be on somewhere at some point.
Like TNPO won that for a week and two.
I never was really bad.
I get to watch probably brown Thanksgiving.
Let's watch that on Thursday.
But, you know, we should have on blue right.
Me personally, I've made it a point to watch
diehard and lethal weapon.
Diehard is a Christmas speaker.
I don't care anybody says you're absolutely right.
Yeah, hard is a Christmas.
As lethal weapon opens with Jingle Bell Rock.
So I'm counting that too.
I always think of lethal weapon too.
It's like I'd like to see your license and register.
That's the list.
We'll do Chad's list that he had written for tonight.
We'll do that next week.
It's a great list.
You don't want to miss that.
We appreciate each and every one of you.
Whether you're listening live,
or whether you're listening on the archive.
