The question that we posed last week and we both found the answer to it. The last time Texas missed
postseason play was 1997. We mean long horns and we say text. Correct. Also was the last time it
was one of the worst cowboy Dallas cowboy seasons too. That would have been very switzers last year.
Was it yeah there you go. So so those are those are our two corrections from last week which means
it's time for us to get into act one of this thing. There's a lot going on on all fronts of the show
today as we do constant variety as always so apparently we're having some issue with the chat room
we're going to try see if I may send an email to our friends here you string find out what's
going on there. All right it is time for us to talk sports as we always do as we always start with
NFL football. Boy and I tell you well we all it wasn't a matter of if it was win. It was also this
you know we just kind of had a run of the mill NFL talk until about 26 hours ago too. If we
not if you've been in a hole or don't have cable yeah wait Phillips out as the head coach of Dallas
cowboy and you know if you if you have a chance to read I've got a blog entry up about this I
think this was the worst possible. Well the thing about that Jerry Jones could have found a coach
mid year is I don't know if it does anything I don't know if it if you it is what it is his people
are still there you still got his offensive line coach his defensive line coach his secondary coach
I just don't know if this move really does a whole lot for you as far as getting the team better.
Well here's my thing and I talked about this in my blog if you look at the rest of Dallas' schedule
to me there's only three winnable games on it yeah so you're talking best case scenario going
4 and 13 or 4 and 12 well you know and Dallas is probably going to win a game that nobody sees coming
to or maybe they win that last game of the year when could you fill these rest in everything that could
could be New Orleans on Thanksgiving I mean let's be honest they there might be some there might
be some a game stick out on the deal of the schedule that me go they Detroit's winnable especially
with stats for being out that's that's a winnable I've got that winnable I've got Arizona winnable
yes they're bad too they're not nearly as as good as we thought they were in the beginning of the
year yeah and it's it's one of them things that and I think I've got Washington winnable yeah
Dallas they got to fix it because I'll tell you something about the Cowboys they've lost to me a
lot of this swagger in my opinion oh like but there's been no reason to have swagger in for this
team in the better part of the day you ain't want to ring since 95 and I addressed this in my
blog it's your two about the about the culture of winning that you have here and that you have
in New York and you haven't Chicago and Los Angeles and for those people that don't live in
those markets I try to explain it the best I can but my problem here is I understand why you don't
hire a new coach because you're looking at a lockout you don't want to pay somebody for seven
weeks exactly you know but by the same token I don't know the Jason Garrett who's now your new
head coach I don't know that he gets a fair shade especially and and just like you said before
it's not a matter of if it's a matter of win this lockout happens exactly it and it's
going to be one of those deals with with a coach you know look at you know you had Tom Landry
from 1960 to 1988 250 wins 162 losses and then we've had what during that time six coaches since
I am you've you've had seven Jimmy Johnson from 89 to 93 Barry Switzer from 94 to 97
Chan Galey from 98 to 99 remember that bit hello hello Georgia Tech right now he's
with Buffalo Buffalo now he's back in the league Dave Campo from 2002 listen 15 wins 33 losses and
he's now secondary coach and could be your defensive coordinator Bill Parcels from 0306 34 and 30
and then Wade Phillips 34 and 22 second winning percent highest winning percentage

with the playoffs both years yeah and Jason Garrett will see I don't think you're the guy I don't
think the only thing to me that you're auditioning for is a quarterback coach job or an offensive
coordinator job somewhere else in the league that's something this guy's ahead coach well I believe
if something something happens at the 11th hour and they do to get this thing worked out I think
they should give him a full season give the guy a fair shake that's all I'm saying that's all I'm
saying get the guy a fair should be could be it's gonna be one of them things with Jason Garrett is
you're you know now we all know that Marcus Spears is out four to six weeks with a calf that came
down right before we went on Tony Romo out brother that was for the season miles Austin he's got a
substance on his hand that keeps him from dropping the ball the only bright spot on this team is
Des Bryant which we weren't even sure about him and training and I don't know if I've seen a team
on a nationally televised game where you knew a lot of people were watching up until halftime
I've never seen a team quit and Dallas flat out mailed it in from about five stops watching
after the first three minutes three minutes before halftime till zero zero zero fourth on the clock
into the game that team laid down and that team absolutely quit on national television quit
and hey so bad LeBron James I did hear about this but I was out of the point at halftime going
you know what I can't even watch my cowboys right now they're so bad and Tio of course took his
pot shots on Twitter as well oh yeah I it's just play to finish yeah play to right now it's
getting season let's get to let's get to January two and then just be done it be done with it good
with that I'm gonna tell you right now cowboy fan um likely candidates one thing about
them too right now and I want to echo this and I hope there's a thousand people listening right now
which I don't there's not but hey they never know yeah bill cower is not coming to coach the
cowboys I heard a name through that on sports center a couple of hours don't say John Fox that
they threw that John Fox is no way and I agree with you I'm out I'm out on him John Fox is bad I think
you're look I don't know that that grudens coming here either no good thing about gruden which I
think he fits is he's an offensive-minded coach and this is an offensive-minded team um you know
you got the Rooney rule I'd like to see him bring in Danny Greene I liked Danny Greene
oh I wasn't even coaching in that uh UFL right now when the cowboys call you answer the phone or
the demons of coordinator at Minnesota's another one but I think he replaces children will get to
that in a second quick side note before we go further Derek was having problem with the chat room

what now he likes that um gruden would be good I think grudens way too young to be in that booth

to relinquish control he told you in the press conference it wasn't going to happen so don't

but in my opinion will a guy that's willing to take the hits he's always seemed to me to be
very arrogant yeah and I and I I would love to see him come in there one thing Minnesota hasn't
done with the exception of Jared Allen they just don't have tended not to spend very much money
in free agency and that's something that I kind of wish they would would do a little bit more
because I think it's a great team they've got great fans they need a new stadium that that
metro dome is old as my foosla yeah and it needs to be them they have the Roman games there

allegedly solicited for 180,000 Auburn 200,000 well I'm gonna fancy double A is investigating his
parents financials have been pulled or their smoke there's fire or their smoke there's fire
you told me you were going to be monitoring the situation all week and I have what is the latest
sir well you know you you know I'm going to start from the beginning with this cat we know we know
that his past backed up Tim Tebow at Florida in those seven oh seven stole a laptop now some
things have come out to where it looks like he was forging his name on somebody else's homework
or paper they're not they don't really say and then got caught in that then went on the internet
and bought him a paper now does that really have bearing on what's going on right now I think
it's a character I think it shows a bit of character I think I think every single bit of this
district if you're Auburn do you now have to audit all of his schoolwork just to be able to say I
think um and what's what how I think there's a something there's some uh there's something in the
works there is Auburn's very defensive about this situation I think we were watching right before
we went over there we were watching the press conference with Chiswick um and I can say I can
speak on this a little bit different than some I followed his recruiting very very closely

Auburn kind of came on a dark horse he's almost pretty much everything but in a Mississippi
Bulldog Jersey and then all of a sudden Auburn kind of comes out of the darkness and signs him
New Year's Eve evening really yes I didn't know he was like I said you've been following this story sir um

another darling and fell in love with him as I oh he's so changed he's done a 180

wreaks something's going on I tell you what I would if I'm Auburn I would rather I think I'd
rather not win it than to win it and go through the USC embarrassment four years from now and
let me let me that was going to be my next question was could this end up being a Reggie Bush
situation where you don't have resolution for four years now is this his last year of
eligibility no he's got two years now that's what they're saying so it's oh seven he played oh
eight he redshirted oh nine he played junior college what a junior college national championship
so yeah this well that would give him this would be his third year yes so he's only got one more
year valid exactly and but now he's saying that he's going pro there's been some people saying that
he's gonna see where he lands in the draft he's gonna go pro I hope it's not true because Auburn
had another thing with Bo Jackson if there's an Auburn people have a little trouble in the mid-night
there's Auburn Auburn people listening the name Pat die brings a bell a lot of people

and it's one of those things that I really don't I and I don't want to point fingers but where

country is on a witch hunt for the University of Auburn and I so defensive again I just honestly
believe we're not gonna have resolution on this until three or four years down there's not
anybody in this country that roots for a college football team that hasn't had a run in like
this Florida's had it Texas had it Auburn's having it had it Oklahoma's had it several times
USC Miami we could be here Tennessee we'd be here all night long it happens sometimes these
slime ball agents get a hold of these kids and it's not Cam Newton I don't think Cam Newton's
the problem at all I think these guys get these kids and you start throwing out dollar signs to
a guy and I think you jumped all over it my opinion I think now you know tell you one thing I
always brings up a red light to me when I hear a parent I think it's I think it's daddy
well his daddy's a preacher yeah yeah I'm just church yeah when I hear those things
college recruit dad church pastor now there's a lot of things going on there's too many too many
too many cooks in the soup in my opinion yeah I mean and what if it is true like I said I don't

stripping Auburn of the 2010 national title him of the husband and here 25 scholarships you're
banned from bowls for five years and then here we go again yeah I mean I spend too many

back to the efficiency of the investigation yeah now I'll I'll follow Paul Feinbaum on Twitter I
listen to his show he is out of the Birmingham out there yeah that there's no such thing as

SI the guy who wrote the article on sports illustrated was on his show today about Cam Newton
and I believe everybody in the state of Alabama and of course Paul Feinbaum and a lot of people
they believe where there's smoke there's fire some things going on and don't point it urban
Meyer let's get that out of your mind here I think if you are a Mississippi state fan and it was
all about screwing Auburn why wouldn't you bring it out the week before you play them why do you
wait when they they're already this closed baby playing for a national title to all of a sudden

the brass tax and start throwing Auburn of the bus I just don't think it's that easy I think it
was a situation where you might have some spoiled grapes with a team that thought they had him
Auburn jumps in last minute I don't know if they paid him I'm not saying that I just think
something they did acquire him yeah I just think something happened and I'm not gonna I'm not
trying to sit here and false and this that and the other but then Cam Newton says certain things
that it's kind of weird I came to Auburn to win a national title
okay is that where you anywhere any buddy please you go anywhere for that there's just certain
things that he says I feel bad for Gene Chizek that's the guy I feel bad in all this all this
for and I just there's too much defensive about it the the cam the Auburn organ is especially like
you can't speak for players only once talking about it but you look at Gene Chizek we saw him the AD
um the the present university they're all very very very very defensive about this deal
and I just think it was me I'd roll off my back go play that was gonna be my thing is just come
out and say we don't believe this has happened we're just gonna go and play football and let the
NCAA have its investigation and just go just go because there's not much else you can do but
this right to me this is a major story because you've got a kid that kind of rose from ashes here
was set in the world on fire in college football and all of a sudden it is now where he might have
it might have been a broad what do you hear me talk about if you're not the lead dog the view
is always the same exactly and not this actually inspired my list tonight hey we'll talk about
coming up later this is a sad situation I hope it's not true because all it does is give college
athletics another black eye so I hope it's not true I don't have a dog in the fight when it comes
to either no team in the SEC have no dog in the fight you know but I hope it's not true but I
think I think where there's smoke there's fire with this kid something went on and it may not
come out for five years but I hope it comes out in the next five days then like I said going to
win a national title that is so embarrassing if getting stripped of the national title ask
ask some cats out there Los Angeles yeah USC's had it done it's just a bad bad situation then you
stripping up the highest men which I don't think you'll win I think this hours that because the
word integrity is on that trophy integrity the dude's been caught cheating three times yeah
so Lonnie making an excellent point yeah at this time decision you can't and you know what and
that's exactly what they're doing is they're just getting ready for the next team I think now with
your Auburn you've said your piece you've come out you've addressed it yeah let the NCAA handle
they're part of it that's true you know I mean I'm with you I hope it's not true yeah maybe because
you want to you want to believe it that that I guess on the certain level you want to believe in
the sanctity of the game exactly we know there's a dark side and we're not saying there's not yeah
but I just I hope it's not yeah because I think it gives the game a blackout yeah and you know my
opinion now for sure speed and let's go ahead and from there we'll go into our BCS rankings of the
week did you go first last time or did I I did so I have to go first yes I gave you a number 11
this week and we're going backwards yes okay number 11 I've gotten Michigan State I they're
they're almost there but I just don't see them as a team yeah the BCS also had Michigan State
at 11 and I know there's gonna be some I had Nebraska I still don't think they're topped in
I do but not by much my number 10 this is I know actually no my number 10 this week is the
University of Iowa I think they're a team that's that's teetering on this deal but they're just
not quite there no my number in the BCS is number 10 was Oklahoma State my number 10 is Ohio
I think I'm just not sold I think this is a this is a team that everybody's kind of forgotten about
and they've only lost one ball game I just and that's kind of the deal everybody's kind of
forgetting about those guys and I think I'm I'm gonna go I'm not gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna
save it for lock of the week um that gets real wacky if you haven't heard Robert Clay running
out for Wisconsin out Saturday oh yeah this is when the Wisconsin thing gets real nutty
there too I think but people forgot about Ohio State I still think they're a quality football team
in my mind my number nine is Nebraska I think that they're holding on barely to a to a single
digit ranking yes but they are holding on to it yeah boy and it sits by the skin of their teeth my
the BCS is number nine was Ohio State we just for mentioning them my number nine and I never
thought I'd ever say this the best team in the big 12 Oklahoma State Cowboys I've actually got
them a little bit higher than them that they're a very good solid football team haven't seen on
play anybody the time I saw them play anybody they got their butts what by 20 points so I still
need to see them when I need to see them win Saturday in Austin I need to see what you have at
this point and I definitely need to see them win another time yeah that'll be three weeks three
games now two weeks Saturday at home I'm out to my own team torn Oklahoma State's good football team
number eight I have the University of Alabama yeah Alabama although the meltdown continues Alabama
still there I didn't have them in my top 11 this week I don't know man that to me at time Saturday
that like an uninspired football team number eight the BCS was Nebraska my number eight is a team
that we've kind of hey another team that's been forgotten about with one loss Michigan State
that's why I just I'm not prepared to give them out you have a three way you have a three way
tie in the big 10 right now between Wisconsin Michigan State and Ohio State you go ahead your next
number seven okay I've got the Oklahoma State Cowboys yeah they're good football today are coming
on strong and it again it's their conference to lose yep it's their deal to lose if they're it's
their bed to tinkle in and fall back in it number seven in the BCS was the Wisconsin I think
Robert better I think Robert Clay not playing changes the dynamic of that football team a whole lot
him not playing and Lonnie had them winning that cup and our number seven I've got Boise State
I've just not it's not playing anybody
number six Louisiana State University I have them what a convincing win for them on Saturday
yeah this is a team that unless Auburn has something to say about it yeah win the SEC West yeah
yeah I mean LSU is a good solid football team that was number six the BCS had Stanford I actually
have Wisconsin at six I mean they're good football team you beat Iowa you beat Ohio State
the same year you're good football team I just I think something's fixing to happen with that
football team I just feel it they're they're horribly coached too my number five is Stanford okay we
agree on that one that number five is all Stanford to me luck looks the best quarterback and I'm
not I'm quarterback dropbacks read the field throw the here quarterback not multi-fast I'm not
taking hutt hutt hutt let me run behind the center let me be one-dimensional not saying that luck
looks a great best quarterback in the country BCS had LSU at five kind of thought they'd be a
little bit higher in the in the national pole given who given who's above them though number four
nine number four is your Boise State Mustang yeah that is the BCS had also had them I just I
until and I I honestly unless my top three all lose a game that is where Boise State will stay
for the next month because until next year when they upgrade that conference and they get to
beat get to play somebody like somebody you know I top two then I'll I'll give you a little bit
higher to that ceiling number I number four I had LSU I think you beat Alabama you you walked out
and you're I know it was a close game but they walked out and punched Alabama right in the face yeah
and I'll always got a rank of team higher than that number three number three we've been talking
about him for ten minutes yeah the aforementioned University of Auburn we Auburn University I'm
so we agree we agree on that just I I and you know I had had the the great fortunate opportunity to
have lunch with Lonnie Hart today and we talked about this and my thing with Auburn is if you beat
Alabama two weeks from Saturday I'll give it to you yeah and I think I just I'm not completely sold
yet I'm getting there I'm a lot closer than I was a month ago but I'm not there yet my deal with
Auburn and I also have them at three the BCS had TCU my deal with Auburn is it's tough for me to buy
a one-dimensional offense that's been my deal with them for a while defensively they struggle
if they don't want any part of Oregon I see and that was where I when I had them at two that was
that's my criteria when I have my top two yeah if it's that close my question I have to ask
myself is that these teams teams played right now who do I think I'd win that's one thing with Oregon
is I with Auburn I mean and usually that's the difference it chisic defensive minded coach
on history of Auburn is great defense I think their defense could be exposed and I think that
might be a game of can Oregon Square every time they have the ball yes can Auburn I don't know
um number two Texas Christian University um that's also the after what they did on Saturday the
BC I can't deny it the BCS had Auburn I have Oregon really so you and I have a reverse one
in two is what you're telling me yes I had to put TCU at one I've got Oregon at one I still think
Oregon I know that that that's I think TCU right now as far as a schedule with some teams that
they beat I think it matches up better and I want to ask you this because this is something that
I had in my notes let's just say actually I'm gonna say this for who showed up and who did because
I actually have notes on this I've got Oregon at number one I just again I looked at these two
teams if they play each other who do I think would win I think Oregon would win me out now
this is so up in the air and I'm so you know me I want BCS chaos I want chaos in the system
because I want the system to go away not that it ever will it's kind of like Jerry Jones ever
not being the GM of the cowboy but that that's my rankings you've got your rankings we move on
to who showed up we start this week who showed up we just talked about him a minute ago
the Oklahoma State Cowboys so much for bail 55 to 28 over bailer who was ranked number 22
that was that was a weird deal for me because I don't know and I think we all got Kool-Aid with
with bailer but they could get the wheels back on this Saturday and they could they could do a
lot of things all bailer's gonna be a fun team to watch the rest the way out I don't know if they
don't I don't know if they know how to finish a game in my opinion let me drop some numbers on you
Brandon weed in 34 to 42 for 435 yards three touchdowns you know what they're total offense what's
that 725 yards they'll make you look dumb out still water whoo for sure they were two for three on
fourth down they kept the penalties low five penalties for 30 yards you know it's time they
punted no telling yeah one punt 59 yards the average 10.1 on the past 7.4 for rush good that's a
good balance in the offense next up my number two team TCU after a 47 to seven shellackey
of number six Utah that was weird Andy Dalton 21 of 36 for 335 yards and three touchdowns
they held number six in the country held none the less than 200 yards total offense yeah
it happened they forced four turnovers they were 10 for 15 on third down their average per
pass play 14.1 yards that's unheard of I got to give props to this next team that they did not
beat a ranked team but they did beat a team that I likened to the University of South Florida as a
team on the rise the naval academy yeah beating East Carolina 76 to 35 somebody left their defense
at home wow Ricky dobs their quarterback he was only six of eight for 70 75 yards but he did have
17 rushes for a hundred yards and a touchdown yeah 500 and 96 total yards of offense but they
gave up five 67 so they only put they also only punted once they were they forced four fumbles
recovered all of them yeah one penalty two yards how do you is it was that half the distance to the
goal yeah maybe off sides and it's first thing go on the four Oregon 53 to 16 whenever they got
off to a slow start and then all of a sudden things started kind of clicking and let me take some
man you know you go and you beat up on Stanford they were ranked they beat up on Stanford at the
time was number 14 in the country then you go to you go then you go to L.A. and you beat up on
the USC that still USC you know all these quality wins that I see from from Oregon I mean they're
top ten teams I've watched I've watched Oregon quite a bit this year they've got several quality
wins they've still got Oregon State another tough game hey that'll be an excellent game to watch I
mean yeah they've undressed it air zone yes let's we're good football team let's run the numbers
real quick and then I have a question for you Darren Thomas 24 of 33 for 243 yards and a touchdown
12 rushes for 89 yards and two more yeah they had 31 first downs yeah they're they gave up and
they only gave up two of 16 on third down but they've got to get their penalties out of control
when you hit the century market penalties like they did 10 penalties for a hundred and seven yards
get that down but let me ask you this let's say for the sake of argument because I don't know
that this happens but let's say Auburn has a loss and your your national championship is TCU
Oregon one of two things happens that those ratings are either Colorado Boston the World Series
or it's the two headed dog principle I don't want to look but it's there and I can't look
away yeah I mean do you think that does ratings yeah um I think it does I think everybody I think
it looks like every time Boise State gets in a bowl game it does type some types of ratings just
because of it's David and Goliath and this country's fascinated with David and Goliath's
top stuff a lot of things TCU wins that game I'm of course I have the other way because this
is Oregon's my number one team in the country I Arkansas good 41 21 18 South Carolina good to see
them boys doing the SEC chaos continues yeah you know what what's what's crazy is that we're now
November the ninth isn't your SEC championship pretty much decided by this point not this year
I think it's gonna come down to the last week of the season they put up almost double South
Carolina's total offense 443 to 295 Ryan Mallet 21 of 30 for 303 yards in a touchdown
Nile Davis and my right on that as I see that is correct 22 rushes for 110 yards three touchdowns
Latamore he's good loving rushes for 30 yards yeah they contain actually I'm gonna jump one of
my things off here ahead for my microscope but you know what South Carolina you want to talk about
having the spotlight getting a little bit too bright on you that could be that's what happened that
with a freshman with a freshman tailback and with Spurrier Spurrier's won one big game in his
career South Carolina it was defeating Alabama at the time who was number one team in the country so
I'm not shocked by that score at all a big game going down there Saturday night Stanford 42 17
win over number 13 Arizona and they're good luck luck their coach very physical at the line of
scrimmage I mean that's just a great football team luck 23 of 32 for 293 yards and two touchdowns
they cleared 510 total offense exactly also 9 of 14 on third down no fumbles in this game and only
one pick also they only gave up seven of 16 on third down and stepfantaylor 19 rushes 82 yards
not this not this not this four touchdowns not a bad day for that young man now that a lot of
work and putting up a lot of points who didn't show up this week real quick first point Texas I'm
stopping the dog piling yeah because I'm feeling your pain yeah this is bad yeah and you know what's
bad is in being an Oklahoma fan it takes more than one year to rebuild it yeah and you know it
Texas fans I'm I'm just I'm get comfortable I'm just going to put it here and we're going to move
off yeah North Carolina state and see state 14 13 loss to Clemson they got out offense by Clemson
by 15 when you get me forced for fumble forced five fumbles Clemson's horrible they had an
average punt of 29 yards exactly you give up four sacks they had 63 yards on the ground
and see state what are you doing and the team that they beat last week Florida state or stand 99 yards
less low less offense this was their homecoming yeah now you've got a bunch of wheels going off
up there because ponders banged up seven of 14 on third down seven penalties 74 yards you're
going to rack those numbers up kids back to back losses the teams from North Carolina and
I'm starting to feel a little better now because now maybe my Florida gators have a chance
against these boys we're has three weeks ago I would say it was going to take us to which yet
of Alabama 24 to 21 loss to LSU yeah that was that was a that was a game um that was a weird game
but but if you're Auburn though because you're talking about the SEC West if you're Auburn
and LSU and and you lose a game you still have the tiebreaker because you beat them yeah
gave up gave up two for two on fourth down gave up three stacks and ingram but ingrams
till almost gets a hundred yards right yeah in a good day quietly quietly he's been a real quiet
this year a lot a whole lot about him this year we go to your boys yeah oh yeah okay home a 33
to 19 losses Texas but you you were concerned about this game going yeah I you had no illusions
about I had I had a we owe an mo this one um and uh Oklahoma just I'll be on sweet they're very
young team and Landry Jones you know I heard a guy talk about it at at on a radio station
Oklahoma City Monday morning we just need to take a look at reality and just go Landry Jones just
might not be the guy he's got to be the guy that follows the guy and he missed several plays
that were wide open plays and he flat either over through or under through the guy and the numbers
were decent yeah you only had 20 yards less total offense you were 11 to 20 very on third down
that scores a little deceiving you know we didn't score a point to the third quarter really yeah
it was seven you watched this whole guy it was 19 to excuse me 12 nothing at halftime so we
didn't score a point in the we scored a safety in the fourth quarter so yeah it's a rebuilding
thing and I'm fine I mean I'm not I didn't go into this year with crazy aspirations of a national
title but I'll tell you this they're a fun they're a fun team to watch and you know I I see some
people up in this top 10 that's not used to being there yeah the giants are down uh enjoy this
because the giants are not going to be down forever and the crazy world yeah in the giants I'm
speaking of I shouldn't have to say lastly zero twenty plus seventeen lost the Texas tech
well I talked about this game quite a bit of lunch today yeah gabbert you see his numbers
I you know well that came on the same time I glanced at it said up text filing one game
well for thirty for ninety five yeah at tech will do that in love at night they gave tech
four hundred eighty five yards they lost the air battle by over three to one
tech needs to win one more game we bow eligible they've got one more home game to do it they're not
going to do it Norman Oklahoma Saturday afternoon I will promise you that tech tech at home they're
a different ball team I just don't I don't it's like I wish you at home the same way we have a
struggle on the road tech just looks like on the road they can't do anything that doesn't surprise
me that doesn't surprise me Missouri lost that ball game you had a you had a headline that you
want to talk about west mile yeah LSU fan don't probably don't have any I'm listening at all um
y'all were kind of wanting to replace him or after the Tennessee game I still think his seats a
little one yeah I think this guys I don't I didn't like him when he coached another place
on the big twelve but I like him I think he's gutsy I think he has I think he has uh
so I like to eat or ask a certain part of his body that's made of steel did you see this bit

have Nebraska's overrated didn't Nebraska has Nebraska locked that down yet they're getting clubs
okay um they're not they're not as good as what uh people advertise the big 12's just just
not a good conference a lot of the big teams in the big 12 rebuilding um this news broke this
morning early Dan Hawkins no relation fired from the University of Colorado people saw this come
in last year 19 and 39 as the head coach of Colorado has not won a game outside of the state of
Colorado in his last 17 attempts yeah that's a to me that's a good coaching job I like that coaching
job there I think Colorado I think they can bring in some guys I think they could really get some
guys out of Texas and some other places that might be able to go to Colorado because it's in the
pack 10 if you are Colorado though do you have to get a big name guy no I think they can get a
coordinator I know there's some coordinators around some guys um I think you've got they're good I
think they're going to go defensive minded I think Brett and Venerables from Oklahoma is real high
on their list they wanted him before Hawkins and I think Oklahoma needs a new voice at that
because that parts that wouldn't bother me he's a guy that they wanted for a while I think they
want to go defense hello defensive minded there um speaking of that big 30 for 30 tonight my DVR

at home they are favored so they have to win by touchdown yeah Miami Florida Georgia Tech
always a dicey game conference can yeah conference game pretty much everybody's in
a Miami lost probably takes them out of the ACC championship game Miami minus three they are
favored by the rambling wreck of James and Nick Dwestern cotton tea yes I'm just
scattered shoot here the reason these games are not picked in any particular order wake forced
at North Carolina state since we'd like to do that uh the wolf pack can't read you right now baby
I don't know where you're going yeah one minute you're up one minute you're down um take them in
there uh take them in North Carolina state minus 19 oh good mercy well wake force isn't that good
there favored is it basketball Texas Tech at Oklahoma senior day you may not pick this
Oklahoma's last home game looking to bounce back from the loss at at a.m. um point spreads probably
a little low Oklahoma minus 15 and a half I think they win by more than that okay take that
to Vegas as for Vinnie at the seizures a.m. at those seven win Baylor Bears a.m. hey prove me wrong
that beat us in nine years you finally did it um need to see you two weeks in a row at Baylor
I hope Baylor hadn't milled it in with seven wins I don't think they they look like they crawl
underneath that turf it's still water Saturday afternoon a.m. minus three that game taking place
at Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco Kansas at Nebraska Nebraska minus 35 she's the only thing that makes
this game anyway is it Turner Gills return to Nebraska as the head coach of the Kansas J hogs south
Carolina at Florida I cannot pick this game Spurrier turns the gamesville with really honestly for
split list of play spoiler South Carolina I mean this is for the SEC's title yes oh so this
still means they said that on sports center winner winner clinches the east okay so this means
something Florida minus six and a half at the swamp that is a two fifteen kickoff there that's
no that's a six fifteen games this is it well I'm okay I'm that's a night game that's on ESPN
that's on the world bar leader see feeling saucy here you tap at Arkansas oh jeez
nothing more to say Arkansas is one of the most dynamic name offense is in college football
minus twenty eight and a half good lord um Patrinos another name I've heard floating around the
Cowboys job Utah at Notre Dame Utah minus five and a half Oklahoma State at Texas
I just to me UT this is your bowl game yeah nobody's giving you a snowball's chance in
Haiti's to win this ball game this is your bowl game um this shocks me this kind of when I saw
this line I went this this Vegas is drinking the same Kool-Aid I am Oklahoma State minus five and a half
not a very big favorite never have never played well in Austin K state at Mizzou Mizzou trying to
rebound from the loss from tech minus twelve and a half and lastly lastly because I know there'll
be some people wanting this north Texas at middle Tennessee State or the end this is a big deal
I'm sure I'm going to throw this out real quick the closing of Fouts field this is the last
home right now this is the last home game at North Texas Foutsfield Dickey Stadium it's it's got
but Foutsfield does close Friday night at the University of North Texas they will move over to
Mean Green Village next season yes North Texas I mean middle Tennessee State minus ten and a half
one more real quick rounded out with Southern Caled Arizona hey it's Southern Cal still Southern Cal
young team lot like Oklahoma last year and of course Texas this year Arizona minus four and a half
I think this is a game Mike Stoops has to have to keep his job there Arizona I went first last week
I've already got my pick what you got bailer plus three you'll take you'll take bailer bailer plus
three I'm gonna stay there give me Texas so you're taking Texas plus five and a half and Texas I
think Texas I this is their bowl game this is their bowl game um they're not gonna drop five straight
I don't think they'll lose five straight I think this is their bowl game I've been saying that
since Saturday when I saw this match up I was like you know Texas may come out and just
gut one out here because I think they're gonna play it like it's their bowl game
I have opinion my opinion all right so that's your lock of the week hey as we wrap up college

the and what's sad about that at the time of his death he probably never remembered managing baseball
anyway and that's the sad part with that with that disease our best to his family yeah and
God rest his family always always a big deal in the Hall of Famer does well we're going to talk

it's tough when it's there's only one Hawaii 50 and it's doing very well something I wanted to
show you have to have entertainment weekly has a Hawaii 50 bingo card and that you can just play

this thing is doing gangbuster ratings it is getting gangbuster reviews from a community
that is very very finicky the walking dead is based on a graphic as a comic book series

already been renewed let's talk about our new shows you just mentioned Hawaii five I was doing great
numbers that's a great little show I kind of thought this would be a weird deal but it's actually

had a low start up with cancel blue blood how's that working it's okay uh I don't know that

had TV camera guys production guys you had because the way it was said it was Brett wanted to
run in in the purpose behind this was Brett Hart had already signed a contract with WCW that was
the thing Vince did not want his title on TV like we don't want another a luncha blaze Madusa
which is drop the women's title in the trash can yeah I'm nitro debut so that's part of where
this came from but Vince did not want his belt on Turner television so we they kind of did a deal
where they just said you know what here's what we're going to do we're going to tell Brett there's
going to be one ending when really behind the scenes there's another Brett thought there was
going to be a heart foundation run in DQ I'll forfeit the belts on Raw and you can put an
tournament all Vince said no we're going to humiliate you in one of your big cities you're a big star
in Sean Michaels puts a sharpshooter on him Earl Hepner says and Vince say ring the bell
and the lugi around the world the Brett screwed Brett that's why Sean and Michaels is still booed a
lot where he goes especially in Canada there's a great you can probably YouTube this then that night
on Raw Vince JR the infamous I didn't screw Brett Brett screwed Brett so that I couldn't I just
couldn't put anything on the same stage when you talk about wrestling history in my opinion the
game changed absolutely the game absolutely you don't want to play ball we'll make you play ball

have stayed yeah Brett's WCW run was horrible read both of their books and get the whole scoop on

right now right now as we're speaking then the pendulum has swung to you as we go to this week's list
yes it'll do a good music for this yes it is my week and as I said earlier in the night if

athlete kind of a fall from grace potential potential so I did a top 10 list of top 10 sports
athlete athletes fall from grace and there's a couple of these I might have some points
to contention a number 10 if you're familiar with Carl Lewis world fastest man type stuff you remember
the name bin Johnson indeed sir bin Johnson was from Canada beat the fastest man in the world at that
time yeah steroids 1988 that breaks right before the games if I'm not mistaken he's pulled from
team Canada's track team and Carl Lewis dominates never recovered never recovered from that bin Johnson
never recovered I think he's actually has he done anything if you heard his name anywhere I've
heard his name here and there but nothing of any note number nine this one's real close to me
I can remember where I was when this broke I remember where I was as well nobody knew the details
at that time but we found out yeah we found out pretty soon what the details were
crisp and wall unbelievable yeah crisp and walls a guy that if you talk to any wrestler in the
world and one of the biggest guys in the game who do you guys you respect crisp and wall was the
third or fourth guy they mentioned of course but yeah crisp and wall the locker room loved
one of the greatest technical wrestlers I think I've ever walked a planet yeah talent loved him
people just love the guy and when everything came out with him and his wife and his kid and
not saying it wasn't something he put in his body that made him I'm not going to go get that
deep with I'm not going to do that but that's a bad deal number eight dot good young phenom could not
escape it young phenom reminds me a lot of what we've seen with this straw spurg just a kid that
came on the scene and struck everybody all on fire cocaine could got with the meds got on cocaine
and was never the same actually had to do a no hitter with the Yankees late in his career and got
a ring there so he rebounded his old teammate Darryl strawberry another man yeah drugs cocaine he
was a guy that came on the scene and he couldn't keep the ball in the yard he was a he was one of
these Gdisk this is a Hall of Fame guy cocaine and he actually redeemed himself with the Yankees and
one three world titles with the Yankees one team New York team screws you up the other one saves you
I'm with on both case karma this one here Marion Jones this is one of my points of contention
balko another drug case another steroid deal stripped of all of her gold medals and actually did time
you have the floor sir what's she doing now uh did a 30 on 30 she has a very promising career
in the WNDA yeah and I believe want a title I saw that but it's so she's she's she's on her way back
she's on her way back I mean on her way back but as she has now got her stand there the fall didn't
didn't bottom out yeah there was a there was a lot of people that she was kind of they you know that
was their leader um p-ros this guy didn't want to put this on here I like Pete I'm not saying he
broke the law but yay it's in the rule books in the rule books you can't do it yep
one of those deals you know um greatest hitter to ever step in the box
well debated my opinion um decent manager and just couldn't just too much too much stuff too
much darkness I've actually there's a real quick real story real quick there's actually a museum
down the road in Cooperstown it's a p-ros museum and some things in there if they if somebody
was doing a museum in my name take out the signed betting slips from Churchill Downs can we take
out the autograph chips from Caesars this guy can we really get that stuff out of there he is so

oh and this is a guy here this was my almost number one Roger Clemens
to me Clemens is arrogance yeah arrogance that's all that is when you ask your wife to stick

he was just magic got his rings went on I think he played too long could be could be I think the
Houston bit didn't make any sound thought he was done uh local I mean a Texas guy I just think
he's one of those unforgivable athletes number two hope this guy can curve it around yeah I
was surprised you put him this high on the whole this guy can curve around but right now Tiger Woods
in a toilet yeah like him hoping curbing around I don't have anything against the guy but right
now as far as morally what people think of you marketability you are not marketable right now
if you know if it's not radio active yeah if it's not EA sports can't touch him and that and
the sales that have been in it yeah and number one that can't be can't be it may not every past
O.J. Simpson yep I agree with you there and you know what he's out hey he it took it took him
breaking in a hotel room in Vegas to finally go and go to jail yeah karma got him karma got him
karma got him in that Cam Newton story influenced this whole entire list wow I thought it was a good
list very good list sir I'm very impressed by that yeah some great names on there and some great
stories a couple of them the endings may not have been written yet and we and we'll keep it
I hope not I'd love to see I'd love to see Tiger curbing around and win another masters or win
some big tournaments and of course one of them no longer with us so he can't rewrite his story true
true but yeah while these guys I'd love to see you know maybe bonds go yeah I did it you know
something yeah I don't think he ever well you know I don't think he ever well I think he's just
that arrogant yeah but that's the list sir the balls back in your court for me next week and the
