The following is a sooner or .ates production.
Noise! Noise! Noise!
GOODaming!
Joe, stop.
Are you ready for the jam?
I said are you ready for the jam?
Yo G.
Kicking.
Dural Anna's please!
It is Saturday nights.
It is 8.04 on the West Coast and is 504 on the West Coast.
It is the 27th of October in the year of our Lord 2012.
It is season 3, episode 15 of the Clubhouse.
We are live on the air with you each and every Saturday night.
We welcome you individually, no matter how you're listening, whether you're listening live
right here on U-Stream or if you're listening on your portable device, hopefully sometime
soon, or if you're listening on an archive.
We don't care how you're listening, we just appreciate you doing so.
My name is Rob and I'm the guy with all the buttons and the keyboards and the mice and
the laptops and the screens, joining me across the desk as he does each and every week.
We almost didn't have a show tonight, but some things got rearranged so that we could.
But he's here with me as he is each and every week.
He is Chad.
I didn't realize we almost didn't have a show tonight.
It was going to depend on, I might have had to be out of town, but I decided it was easier
if I didn't.
Oh, okay.
This is news to me.
In the mystery third chair this week, a young man who has not been with us in many, many
moons, he is a weary traveler having spent some time in a state that public enemy did
a song about Arizona, when I get to Arizona, no, by the time I get to Arizona, he is
friend of the show.
He is a mystery wrapped in an enigma, he's a code by a riddle.
He's a good man.
He is a strange man.
Some call him a chromagnon man.
He is Andrew.
And if you were counting on me to save the show, you failed.
You came up craps.
It is the weekend before Halloween, so if you plan on going out there and doing the
voodoo that you do so well this evening, we just want you to be safe.
It is a two-show weekend.
Yes, it is.
Because we have tonight's show and then tomorrow night's Fox and Hound for WWE Hell in the
Sal, which we're going to talk about here in just a little while.
We always start with corrections.
We don't have any corrections as much as we have a follow-up.
Okay.
We were, as you, if you've, if you listen to last week's show, you know, you know the
story of Boca de Pepper, Don's in the room.
Welcome, sir.
A little, Mr. Ford.
We did a story last week on the show, a local story about our local mall, town-east
mall, getting a Boca de Pepeau.
A follow-up to that, the Justin Timberlake of the show, Charlotte sent me a text on, I
believe it's Tuesday, saying now town-east mall also has Valley Parking.
I just want to know how that's going to work on Black Friday because you know the mall's
going to be like, we need every parking spot we can get.
So you better be parking your Valley cars at town-east Ford across the freeway.
They're going to have one of those six flags cards that picks you up from a mile away
and drives you back.
Rodney, careful, did it.
It's about going to Walt Disney World with the family.
We're going to leave it on the tram.
Where are you parked?
Oh, just take us home.
Okay.
So we will keep you abreast on the town-east saga as it continues to unfold.
Those boys invest and boaties are going to be getting some serious tips.
Yeah, and most of them we don't rig the car.
I'm just saying, yeah, I'm not saying money tips.
I'm saying, yeah, I think I think those guys don't give too much gas in my die on you.
Here's your vest, here's your bow tie, here's a protective seat.
Cover for most of the cars you're going to have to park.
Here's a sign I capsule.
Yeah, Don, we are going to talk about that later.
Don puts in the chat room about my beloved gators, but we are going to go a little bit deeper
into that later.
Six turnovers today.
Just ridiculous.
Tough deal.
We've had four up until today.
So let's start with a little bit of an ass car.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. returns this weekend after his two weeks out with the concussion.
Doctors have cleared him to race tomorrow.
It's good news.
I was talking to former co-host of the show Cody.
He and I had a good phone conversation, so you're sure you're there before.
By the way, they do have a due date for the baby.
It is Black Friday.
And I said to him, I was like, dude, we had the baby the day before bedlam because he's
a big Oklahoma fan.
And he went, yeah, there's going to be bedlam in Plano the day before bedlam.
Is someone going to sell like his car?
Is someone going to drive him there to the hospital or is he just going to be in the zone?
But what I was getting to is Cody and I were talking a little bit of an ass car the other
day.
And he said that he honestly sees the day of afternoon racing coming to an end.
He thinks that NASCAR is going to go to a full night schedule.
Really?
He predicts within the next two, two, three years.
Because it's your in prime time, you can garner the ratings.
NASCAR is really trying to get itself ready and rolling.
I don't think it matters what time of the day they do it really.
Their fans are going to watch them whenever they're on.
Yeah.
Just saying.
I don't know college football.
It's kind of tough to go up against.
I just say, I don't think it matters to them.
I wouldn't think it would anyway.
I think the night races are cool though.
Just the way all the cars look under the lights and stuff, it just kind of adds a little
bit of excitement to it in my first.
It just gives the fans more time to drink.
Ballad point.
Last week, we had the Hollywood Casino 400.
Here are your top 10 finishers in 10th place in the number 24 Dupont Chevrolet, Jeff Gordon.
It's like it's the drive-to-end hunger he's over.
That's what it's been for the last two months for him.
Number nine in the number 48 Low Chevrolet, five times, five times, five times, five times,
spring cup champion, Jimmy Johnson, in 8th place in the number two Dodge Miller lights.
Brad, because last game, getting better at that.
Seven place in the National Guard Diet Mountain Dude number 88 Chevrolet, normally driven
by Dale Hornhardt Jr. driven by Reagan Smith.
In sixth place, number 15 Toyota sponsored by three-hour energy benefiting Avon Foundation
for Women.
Clint Boer.
In fifth place in the number 14 Chevrolet sponsored by both Office Depot and Mobile One, you know
we like to call him smoke Tony Stewart, fourth place in the number five Chevrolet sponsored
by Farmers Insurance Bomb, but I'm bump bump bump, Casey Kane.
The bronze medal this past week in the Bernard's certain, okay, I have to give you, this
is two different words, sponsored by Menards and by certain Teed, I don't know what that
is.
And it's just what it says on my screen, Paul Menard, number 27, the silver medal in
the number 56 Toyota sponsored by Napa Auto Parts, Martin Truex Jr. and winning the Hollywood
Casino 400 last Sunday in the number 17 Ford sponsored by Zest, because you're not fully
clean until you're Zest fully clean.
I don't know anybody that even uses Zest since 1987, but that's just me, Matt Kenseth wins
that race.
Your current standings, because we are smack dab in the middle of the Chase 4, the championship,
12th place right now and holding steady.
He is, let's see, Jr. is in 12th place, but he's only 122 points out.
That is, and I don't think it's insurmountable for him to at least get into his six or seven.
I don't think he can win the dog, I think, because you only got three races left, three
or four.
11th place, dropping five slots this week to number 11 is Greg Bipple.
Kevin Harvick holds steady at 10, Matt Kenseth up to to 9, Jeff Gordon up 1 to 8.
In seventh place, also bumping up, 6th place, Martin Truex Jr. also moves up.
Your top five stay the same.
This place, Casey Kane, is 30 points out.
Clint Borrier is 25 points out.
Denny Hamlin's 20 points out, and five time, five time, five time, five time, five time,
sprint cup champion, Jimmy Johnson currently, is seven points behind your chase leader with
I believe four races to go, Brad keselowski.
So good on him.
Your next race is tomorrow.
We are at Martin'sville.
It is a .526 mile oval track with a 12 degree bank.
It is the Tom's fast relief 500.
Every time I say something, I just want to go, it is just me, I don't know.
Tomorrow at 1 o'clock Eastern on whatever you watch, the Esponon, by the way, your tested
work, sir.
Awesome.
Just on the chat room.
Remember, if you are listening to us, make sure you are a registered user.
We have a live chat room.
You can give us instant feedback, ask us questions.
We can't guarantee that we'll answer them correctly, but you will get an answer.
You will be recognized as such.
Is there anybody else in the room that is talking?
Currently, we have six people in the room.
It is what I am seeing.
The only thing I am seeing is mine.
Those things, we have a couple of guests.
I don't know why it counts me.
It should not count me, but it does sometimes.
Because you matter, sir.
You are the fearless leader.
I just need a moment.
That is where we are going next tomorrow at 1 o'clock Eastern time.
If you have the clicker ability to go back and forth between football and NASCAR, there
is that.
And I think most people at this day and age probably too.
You are listening to the clubhouse.
We are live every Saturday night at 8 o'clock on the East Coast, 5 o'clock on the West Coast.
Join us tomorrow in 24 hours.
The pay-per-view is on.
Tomorrow night, we will do our one hour pre-show that we have been doing for over a year
and a half at Fox and Hound in Richardson, Texas.
Just west of Central Expressway on Campbell Road, go about a block and a half.
You're going to see the McDonald's Fox and Hound is right behind it.
Big bucks gets you in the door for WWE Hell in a Cell.
Card shaping up a little bit, but you'll know something we're going to talk about later
and we're going to talk about it tomorrow too.
No YouTube match because they're doing something different.
But there are still a YouTube presence, but it is not what it has been the last few
hours.
We'll make you go.
We're going to go.
There I am.
Make sure that you like our Facebook page.
Look up the clubhouse podcast on Facebook.
Follow the show on Twitter.
My Twitter handle is at ClubhouseShow.
My personal Twitter handle is yes to that Rob Irvin that is spelled the R-V-I-N.
I am at Chad N-P-G-6-9 and I am at King of Bowling.
Yes he is.
Charlie Parker on Pinterest, of course Don being the official fact checker of the clubhouse.
On January 4th, 2011, it was announced that Proctor and Gamble had sold the brand to
higher-age brands a lot in Latin America on sales.
Now in this song, you just zest was sold.
So that's what Don does.
Don does our follow-ups for us.
What is he talking about?
Proctor and Gamble sold the zest brand to something called higher-up.
Oh, so we're back on.
I wanted to pause this because I wanted to wait until everybody was in the room and
had their headphones on because I want to remind everybody for those of you that may
be listening for the first time or don't catch this when we talk about this.
I have, I mean, I literally, when I say I'm the guy with all the buttons and everything,
I literally have one, two, three, four, five, currently six computer screens in front
of me that helped me do this show and that was one of them coming back to light.
Part of the show is I am the only one that knows the playlist of the music that plays
in the background.
And this next one I'm actually kind of proud of, but everybody in the studio has a copy
of the run sheet so they know what we're about to talk about.
I don't surprise them because they have to be able to prepare a little bit.
And my, my thanks for this one.
We are your one-stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
So let's do a little bit of TV talk right about now.
Okay.
Okay.
I waited long enough and now the time has come.
Oscar, what are you doing?
I'm just going to wait till the song kicks in.
I'm just going to wait till the song kicks in.
You're beautiful audience.
I'm here all week.
Try the feel.
Don't forget to take the riches.
How do you bathe or take a shower?
Because you obviously walk on water and I don't see how it just bounces off.
You cannot deny the genius right here.
I'm not.
That's what I'm saying.
You cannot.
You had to dig into your frickin'-
I really didn't actually have this idea as I was coming in here.
Now you, now everybody can be out on the joke.
Because the first story we're going to talk about is earlier this week on the Dr. Drew
show, we featured Honey Boo Boo, who now is the official reason that the rest of the
world hates us.
Apparently, Dr. Drew was asking her questions she didn't want to answer so she was fainting
like she was asleep.
Have you seen this?
I haven't seen the clip.
I don't need to because I've seen clips of her and her mother, which Joel McCale on
the soup says she looks like a thumb.
Consulting to a thumb.
It's terrible.
Which one?
Honey Boo Boo or her mom?
Oh God.
Well, man.
I saw her on somebody else's show and all she was going, no, no, no, no, no.
Like, they're trying to have a conversation with her mom and all she's doing is running
her app.
This girl, can we change the name of the learning channel, please?
To the lowest comment denominator.
The LCD network.
Yeah.
Not the TLC.
The TLCD.
There you go.
Very well played, sir.
I just, I hate this girl.
I hate her.
I hate her.
I have a mission that I hate her.
I don't want to say I hate her personally because I have nothing against her personally.
I hate the concept of her.
Like the fact that we would take this, first of all, it's a spin-off from a show that
I absolutely despise, called toddlers in tears, exactly, as if that wasn't bad enough.
Oh, no.
I don't want them to pile it more on there.
Now, Chris Jenner wants to manage the family.
Chris Jenner.
What?
So let's take the Kardashians and the Honey Boo Boo family and combine them into an unholy
alliance that if we're not careful, could take over America.
No, it's going to split the fabric of the universe as what it's going to do.
Yeah.
If you don't want to have to film the Infinity Gauntlet, because we're going to see it in
real life.
But am I going to come back?
Or is this the re-invent?
If you did, when you see this, I'm sure McCale is going to show it at some point.
I'm surprised.
It'll probably be on this, because I think it happened after they aired it.
She was going crazy.
She was going crazy.
I think I'll watch this week's episodes.
It's got to be on there.
It's got to be on there.
But she goes completely over the top of there.
I want to reach to the screen and slap the stupid off of this girl, but there ain't that
much time in the world.
I'm waiting for the day where somebody comes out publicly and says, we don't want you
on this show.
We don't want you on this universe.
Wait until that day happens, because they've been doing the talk show circuit for the
last two weeks.
Oh, God.
Like, first of all, does this show need any more publicity?
No.
But if you're getting ratings, how will they ever take her off?
As Don says, apparently, they did a South Park episode making fun of it, which I'm okay
with that, because that's like shooting fish in a barrel.
People say, oh, leave her alone.
That girl is screaming out to be made fun of.
But you know who needs to sponsor that show?
Look at the pepper.
Let's move on.
Congratulations to the Showtime Emmy-Darling homeland getting renewed for season three.
We talked about that show on this show last week on how the country of Lebanon is suing
Showtime because it is portraying Lebanon as a place that is violent and has terrorists.
How dare they?
How dare they?
Let me paraphrase Dennis Leary.
This sets a legal president.
Does that mean I can sue James Taylor for making me into a wussy in the 70s?
Your honor between him and John Denver.
I was climbing a mountain and eating granola.
Put on some Tesla and get your man cut back.
What was it that Dennis Miller said?
We're not saying the whole country is bad.
But it's the rotten 12 million apples that ruined it for the good five.
Wow.
Is it that much out of whack?
Wow.
We are in deep trouble.
Trying to identify the song.
This is John Stone.
It's called security.
It's the best act to come up with.
I thought it was her.
That's a good look girl.
Apparently November 3rd next Saturday.
If you are near our nation's capital and want to support PBS, you can be part of the million
Muppet March.
I would kill to be a part of this.
But when I first heard about this, it was of course on the greatness of Bob and Tom.
My favorite part was I think it was Bob.
Good boy and going.
How could they march?
They don't have no day.
Maybe it's a hover party.
I can't wait to see the because they've got a fantastic YouTube channel that you and I have.
Oh yes.
Can you imagine?
You know animals just going to go nuts.
He's going to rip someone a new one on that channel.
Every time I think of animals, I still think of that last Christmas special they did where Scooter was typing on the laptop.
Animal just walks in and just crushes the laptop on the floor.
It just looks at the camera and goes.
He walks away.
So great.
I love how he was in anger management in the movie.
You can't say drumsticks.
Don't say drumsticks.
Could have done without his anger management.
And in news that restores my faith in humanity.
Dan Cook had a sitcom.
First of all, you're going to go.
Dan Cook had a sitcom.
There's a reason we're getting there.
He did.
It was called next caller.
They had filmed four episodes and during the filming of the fourth episode, the network showed up and went.
Now we're done.
We're not going to air any of these.
Everybody pack it up and go home.
I think do you think this had anything to do with all that negative backlash about those comments he made after the award shooting?
But the network's official reasoning is they did not like the writing and the direction the show was taking from a comedic aspect.
That's what they said.
We can't say.
I know we think you're a d-bag because you made a joke about a horrific massacre.
I never have to do that.
And you know it's bad when they're not even going to air the episodes you did feel good.
This is going to wind up.
I think there should be a network.
Just for, I'm not necessarily for this because I don't like Dan Cook.
But just for shows like this.
Like shows that only lasted four or five episodes.
That you can just like take a week and we're going to show the five episodes of this show that made it.
I think that would be awesome.
The failed television network.
Yes, I'm in.
That's a license to print money, sir.
I mean, I'd like to see the Wonder Woman pilot if nothing else.
No, I don't want to see that.
I mean, just to see it, was it really that?
It has to.
I remember everything.
I remember everything.
I remember everything.
But didn't, but they didn't actually film it.
Did they?
Yes.
Did they really film it?
Yeah.
It's just one of those things that they just wanted.
Real quick, the NHL has canceled all games in November, thus negating their 82.
Game season.
Moving on.
Because I have vowed to not do that.
That's how you do that.
I have vowed to not give any time to the NHL in this show.
By the way, Mark just chimed in on my.
Martin.
Martin.
Martin has showed up.
He said, I'm listening.
And you guys are awesome.
Thank you, Martin.
It is an honor to have you with us tonight, sir.
That tickled me to death.
I was like, hey.
It is time for us to do a little MMA and boxing news.
We find out this week.
Ronda Rousey now getting closer to joining the UFC.
Dana may start be starting to see the light and the revenue that the women's division does.
That's a no-brainer to me.
He has been a violently opposed to it for years.
He's crazy.
That's one of the things I cannot be on board with him on because he needs this kind of a freaking push.
And right now, I mean, I haven't watched last night's episode of Ultimate Fighter.
My guitarist Kenny and I were talking earlier today.
By the way, if you're near Greenville, Texas tomorrow morning.
Grace Descending doing a little praise and worship.
At a church out there, you can go to GraceDescending.com for the details on that.
But this year's Ultimate Fighter, the D-bag factor is very, very high.
Like, there's a lot of guys that are the textbook definition of a bully on that show this year.
Not shocking.
What I just saw on the SPN News makes me happy.
We're going to talk about that later, too.
Oh, by the way, Don did tell you that he's going to get you the Honey Boo Boo DVD for Christmas.
I will slap him in his face.
In the face!
I'll slap him with a cold fish.
Stay the heck away from me with that.
You have a Viacone Dio.
It's a very important.
Oh, this is a Viacone Dio.
This one, bring it down.
Former co-host of the show, Cody Hawkins texted me with this.
And I was very, very upset.
I am a big boxing fan.
Have been since I was a kid.
Don't get to watch enough boxing anymore.
But we lost a legend in the world of boxing this week.
Two days ago, a manual steward.
Born July 7th, 1944, passed away on Thursday.
He was an HBO commentator.
Most people know him for training.
Lennox Lewis, Vladimir Klitschko, Thomas Hurns.
He did some work at one point.
I believe with...
Why can't I see him?
And I can't name him.
Per warrior.
Per warrior?
Yeah.
If you wait.
No.
Who'd you say?
Got to get here.
No.
Has most of any year.
Oh, Holyfield.
He also did a lot.
He did a lot of work in charity work in Detroit.
He was born in the bottom Creek, West Virginia.
By the age of 12, he moved to Detroit with his mother.
That's where he really began to fall in love with boxing.
He had an amateur boxing career there.
He had a compiled a record as an amateur of 94 and 3.
God.
Winning the 1963 Golden Gloves tournament in the Bantamway division.
He and his half-brother James Stewart, 1975, worked with the Cronk gym, which he would be
with for the rest of his life.
James Stewart.
He is the name that you associate with the Cronk gym.
And this is a gym that is not known for being a slouch.
I mean, this is, again, Thomas Hearns was there, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran.
Not a lot of people you got to go, who?
Yeah.
It is, if you know the name, a manual, Stewart.
And no, that's not the kid that played Webster.
I've actually heard more than one person actually say that.
But I can see how people can make that mistake.
I've judged somebody for that.
But this was a guy, especially if you watch any fights on HBO.
This was a guy talking about knowing the sweet science.
And this guy knows the sport back in front.
Viacundias to you are deepest to his family and friends.
And what else do you say about that?
Not much you can say.
He was the sweet science teacher, you know?
We're going to go ahead and move on right now.
And we're going to have a little bit of baseball talk.
Yeah, I texted you about this one.
Like, when I found out, I don't know if you ever got it.
Never did.
Never did.
Never did.
Never in my phone.
I'm glad it happened though.
The Miami Marlins, speaking of Viacundias, as they fire after one season, Aussie DN,
after what could be construed as a rough year?
You think.
Just a lot.
I blame it on the name change.
I like the Miami Marlins.
You blame it on the name change.
Yes, it's my team.
I can do what I want.
He's a terrible manager.
That's all there is to it.
I just don't know that Miami was the place for him.
No.
He doesn't know how to communicate with his players.
But I agree to that.
Or the media or anybody else for that.
I mean, he's just, he's just a little bit too.
He's a couple of tacos short of a combo plate.
I just, I just think there were some assumptions perhaps made about him being Hispanic.
When he's, he's been in his way when, and when you have a very large Cuban population,
things don't always jive.
The Castro thing, of course, didn't help knew.
But he's also like, he's very brash.
And I really don't make any excuses because you know, if you hire Aussie Ian, you know what you're getting into.
Yeah, you wrote a dice.
This isn't, you know, you're not going to go, we didn't know he was going to be controversial.
And obviously you don't own a television or a radio.
Exactly.
Before the season started, it was that way.
Yeah, you had to know it was coming.
But he'll find work somewhere because they'll be somebody that needs a manager.
Oh, yeah.
I think if you're Cleveland, you scored a huge coup.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's a huge coup for them.
The World Series is on game three is going on.
Right.
John, of course, checked in correcting the Emmanuel Lewis, not sort of thing.
Yeah, but a lot of people are making that mistake.
It was not the same person.
Yeah.
The World Series is on.
And neither John nor I have a horse in this race.
I thought the Cardinals might have done it.
Yeah, nobody in this room does.
How did the Cardinals just lay down?
Because of who they had to play.
I mean, I've been saying this for like five years.
Great pitching.
Always wins.
And that's why the Rangers will always be crappy.
Game three is on.
It is currently after, well, we only gone through one inning.
It is scoreless.
Right now, of course, the Detroit Tigers are up against it.
But they are back home for the next three games.
And it is apparently really chilly and comisy right now.
Yeah.
A lot of people were saying, you know, game one, Detroit throws out Verlander.
I don't see how they lost that game because it was eight to three.
Yeah.
And I think Verlander, I think maybe Verlander bought into his own hype a little bit going into this game.
Because when the, I don't know if you saw, did you see the footage when the pitching coach came out to talk to him?
No.
I can read lips.
Uh-huh.
And when the pitching coach got to the mound, he looked at the pitching coach and he goes, what are you doing out here?
Are you serious?
Oh, yeah.
Uh-huh.
First of all, he's your coach dumb butt.
Yeah, exactly.
Secondly, he's going to do what he wants because I don't know.
He's your coach.
Yeah.
And then that very next pitch he throws gets jacked into the middle of next week.
Beautiful.
He was probably thinking, oh, kid up, kid up, then it's going to dump me now.
I'm just saying.
Is that who he's with?
Yep.
That's who Verlander's with.
And when Zedos, was that Roman or is it?
I've heard that Rose Rose was strong.
Oh, okay.
But not the knob.
Sorry, not very Zed actually started that game, which, yeah.
Where was he?
I don't know.
Oh, I don't know.
170 yards.
Yeah.
But when the hippie kid is coming out of the bullpen, that's a bad day.
How do you say it?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Church.
And I mean, why does his name escape me?
Oh, it lints to come.
It's him.
It's come.
And came out of there throwing heat.
I mean, this kid was throwing pictures and I'm just like, didn't he?
Did that ever leave his hand?
Could be because he's already in the catcher's glove.
What's going on here?
Didn't have like five strikeouts out of six.
Yeah.
I mean, it was ridiculous.
Yeah.
A lot of people were wondering if the layoff was going to hurt Detroit.
A lot of people were wondering if only having one day off was going to hurt San Francisco.
San Francisco was already at home.
Yeah.
Exactly.
It's one of those things of how do we, you know, baseball is such a weird sport.
It is.
Where it's the most stat driven sport of the four majors.
But really, the stats don't matter.
No.
I don't care what a team's record is on odd Thursdays of even months with the temperatures between
40 and 50 degrees.
Yeah.
It doesn't matter.
That's right.
You know, everything resets.
It's all about if you're hot or not, really.
And that's the thing about this deal.
It's, I mean, you, just look, it's not alone that really just kind of blows me away.
Detroit only won six less games in San Francisco in the regular season.
It's crazy.
So it's not like there's a huge gap where you can go, okay, well this could happen because of this.
John says, you know, Cardinals can't win every year.
He's a good sports fan.
He truly is.
And when you need to back on the show soon, sir, so you need to let me know when you're available.
And the light, he says the layout for him like it did in 2006.
Yeah.
It's such a crap shoot.
Because some teams need that time to heal, but some teams don't want to stop.
So for some reason, I think it's just easier for, it's easier for one pitcher to be on than it is for nine guys to be on every night.
And I will tell you this.
This is a heck of a night for sports.
Yeah.
Your batteries and your remote better be charged because you're going to be clicking.
Was it some Richard Jenny wants to do?
You're going to have the attention span of a new.
All right.
Of a natch.
Because there's a lot sports wise going on tonight.
So I'm assuming by the time we go on the air next week, this will be over.
Yeah, exactly.
I hope so.
I think vocal songs are going to give up a run.
There's just something about.
November baseball.
That just doesn't sit with me.
I don't know why.
I remember the first time I heard of the ink was in the Yankees and the Losers.
We're welcome to go on past midnight and they said, welcome to November baseball.
And I was like, no, I don't want to be welcome to November baseball.
It doesn't make sense.
October.
That's what October is.
Yeah.
Well, that in like Texas, it's uncharacteristic.
Oh, I'm characteristically cold here.
I love this weather.
So do I.
I love this weather.
It has to be cold for playoff baseball to matter.
That's just to me.
To me and the cold really tells me it's football season.
If nothing else.
That's what the cold is for me.
Trent Richardson, please get better.
I need you.
Good time.
My family.
Let us move on and do a little POI.
POI stands for person of interest.
It is a segment we do on this show where we take a person or an entity and we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
The pendulum swings to you, sir.
I hate it when he does this to me.
You've known for a week.
This is not new information.
Lame.
I know.
MP3.
That's a decoder, sir.
That's what we use an audacity to record the show.
I mean, have you come up with anything?
Is there something that's maybe caught your mind while we've been talking that maybe it sparked anything?
The only thing that keeps nagging at me and I kind of wanted to tie it in a wrestling talk.
I wouldn't expect any POI to come up this soon.
You have a runchute, sir.
I know.
I was like, well, crud.
What should you do with the show and Bill Cosby, boys?
You're the other generation.
You're the other generation.
You're the other generation.
But you're the one who will win food.
The thing that has been really itching my backside for the last several months, really.
Scratch it is, you know, is this whole Linda campaigning for office thing and how badly it is hurting our product.
Yeah.
It's killing it.
Killing it.
Why can people not disassociate the two?
I don't understand that.
Because it's cannon fodder for her opponents to just take her to task because they look at what this woman was involved in.
Like it matters what they do now.
It doesn't really matter to them because all they're going to do is go into the bat catalog and, you know,
draw out clips of a sable barking like a dog for Vince and, you know, it doesn't matter what they're doing now.
It's what they did that they can't change.
To me, the damage has already been done.
I don't think you can go back now.
No.
Even if she loses and decides to never run again, I don't think it's going to matter.
You're never going to have the attitude era back.
No.
The fact that they put the attitude era into WWE 13 shocks me.
Yeah, me too.
And they're losing so much money.
Like she's already spent 50 million on the campaign.
Oh yeah.
Their stock has tumbled to an alt record all time low.
Raw keeps taking a bath in the ratings week after week after week.
I'll say lowest ratings ever.
No, wait.
No, this week's lowest ratings ever.
Oh, I know this week's lowest ratings.
Let's see.
Let's see.
The other problem you face is when his wins have been said is best.
When his backs against the wall.
But when there's no competition.
When he has competition.
When he has competition.
Is TNA really competing with him, right?
No.
No.
No.
I will tell you.
Are they even trying to compete though?
On the whole, they're not competing.
There are individual storylines that I think are better on TNA.
Yes.
Yeah.
Their tag team division is always better when it exists.
It doesn't exist right now.
Their knockouts division beats the divas division by a long shot.
And Velvet Skye back in the go-sheet.
Yeah.
So, getting back involved.
I mean, are they really competing ratings-wise?
No.
Oh, Don said, in fact, it was Trish Barking like a dog, not Sable.
Was it?
Okay.
Well, Trish had the painted on bikini.
The hand pin.
No.
That was Sable.
Oh, that gummit.
What?
I guess I just think.
Trish did the making out with Vince right in the middle of the camera.
That's right.
That's right.
I'm getting...
I'm getting...
David Dementia.
Anyway.
They interchange every six months.
Yeah.
I know.
But this product has taken such a huge hit because of this.
What I saw, how much their stock had dropped.
Wow.
Don says $48 million on this campaign so far and $50 million on the last one,
which was what, two years ago?
Mm-hmm.
Wow.
So, almost $100 million for a hurdle.
Almost to be there.
Yeah.
And their stock value has dropped half a billion.
Yeah.
Half a billion.
Think about that.
Was it trading at eight something now?
That's...
I'll...
Whenever I saw that report.
Pay 15.
For sure.
Is it worth it?
Vince?
Is it worth it?
No.
Linda?
Is it worth it?
I heard the other day that Radio Shack stock, which I actually owned from my incredible
universe days, is it like $3 a share rate?
Man, when I saw the...
When it split twice when I worked for Incredible Universe, it was almost 50 a share.
When I saw what Apple stock was worth after the announcements this week.
Or did it hit suit?
615 a share.
So, it's doubled in the last six months then.
Yeah.
Because it was just 300.
Yeah.
Not only a year ago.
It's...
I was like, oh my god.
It's currently 604.
But it's almost like 96.
Because it wasn't 700, right?
If you've got that much Apple stock, it's 100 bucks a share going to matter to you.
Not really.
Yeah, not really.
But...
Yeah.
But Vince, if she even remotely starts talking about running again...
And in the last five polls, Don says, Linda, she's losing by an average of four to five points.
If she starts talking again, have her committed.
But yeah.
But you know what's going to happen.
Like I say, what's going to happen?
Hmm.
She's now set a precedent.
She's made it to the final vote this time.
She didn't make it to the final vote last time.
She didn't give us five.
Oh, dear god.
Yeah.
So now we've got to step closer.
So I think I can get it on the next one.
Well, then...
And Vince has done so much to her...
That...
Like, full landering and things of it.
It's...
He's never going to tell her.
No.
Well, so we can expect two more years of...
Crapie.
W-W-E-P-O-X.
Yeah.
Now we're going to the G-rated era.
The three-man band.
Do I need to say anything else?
Yeah.
Yeah.
The fact that we're turning Drew McIntyre into Sean Walton.
Yeah.
Something really has to give, because...
They are...
They are all but euthanizing this product.
Yeah.
And putting all of us to sleep along with this...
Oh, it's funny you should say youth.
Euthanizing.
Maybe that's who Linda should go after.
The youth vote?
Yeah.
There's none.
No one knows who she is.
Don says also, one of the things that hurt her...
When they found out that the MacManzo taxes from 2005 to 2010...
They owe $4 million in back taxes to the state of Connecticut...
And are settling at paying $500,000 a year plus interest.
Why do they have to settle?
I don't think they just fork it over.
They pay it out.
It doesn't have that on him.
Yeah.
It doesn't carry $5 million in cash on him at all times.
Isn't his suit like worth $1 million or something?
Well, he's got to have that extra arm room...
So we can swing him back and forth when he wants.
That's right, yeah.
No chance.
But in this, in this political bid, it ain't going to happen.
It's not going to help your career.
You don't need this feather in your cap.
What you need to do is focus on the family business that was really, really successful...
And hugely popular throughout the entire decade of the 90s.
But she might want to be successful outside of that though.
Like, you know, just using furl...
In somewhere on a beach.
Shane is sifting a bi-tie and going.
Not my problem.
If she wants to do that, then she needs to completely divorce herself,
literally and figuratively, from Vince.
Yeah.
Let's move on to do a one-quick NBA story,
because NBA opening day!
Yay!
Just coming week!
Yay!
David Stern announces his retirement
for February 1st of 2014.
I mean, I've heard of given notice, but...
Are you serious?
I'm going to give you a 16-month notice of when I leave.
Well, you know why, though.
It's 30 years to the day.
But, say, here's a link.
Okay, I get the poetic part of it.
It's 30 years to the day, all through the day,
to the day that you took the job.
But you're still retiring in the middle of the season.
Yeah, that's stupid.
San Francisco up to nothing.
They have scored.
I think Kobe's losing his mind.
I really do.
Yeah.
Some of this stuff he's been throwing out lately.
I called A-Rod to give him a pep talk.
What?
Why?
Isn't he sitting at home?
I called him and said, man, you're A-Rod.
Yeah, that's the problem.
Yeah, exactly.
And he picks up his golden platinum and crusted phone to answer the call.
Yeah.
And says to an Australian bikini model.
Hey, baby, who's on the phone?
As he reaches over and kisses his pygmy giraffe.
Yeah.
Opulence.
I has it.
I miss that commercial.
I love that guy's laugh was creepy.
But I wanted that giraffe so bad.
Let's move on and do a little NFL talk.
Carolinas says via Condeos.
To which general manager because in Carolina, that's the problem.
Yeah.
Is it.
Is it.
And it's can't Newton losing his mind.
Yeah.
Like, I don't know that he's used to losing.
I think he is.
He doesn't know how to handle it.
And I'm just like, dude, it's okay to lose every once again.
You are playing in Carolina.
It's okay.
Are they known for their strong defense, though?
He plays offense.
That was just saying that their defense.
That was a weird bit for me.
Great, great move by the NFL tomorrow during the Dolphins Jets game to help with breast cancer awareness.
The reps are going to be having pink flags instead of the yellow ones.
Just this one game.
Just one game.
There's a lot of significance of.
Because the kid that wrote David's turned the letter to ask about it.
He's from the Miami area and his mother's breast cancer survivor.
That's cool.
Why do you write David's turn?
I mean.
Tagley boo.
Tagley boo.
Okay.
Tagley boo is hearing the.
The.
Yeah.
Yeah, that thing.
I got the bounty game.
I still want to.
But there's also some interesting trash talk going on with this game.
Rex Ryan comes out last week and says next week we're going to put a little hot sauce on.
I'm like, why don't you put a W on a board?
And then, you know, because they were talking about they're going after Reggie Bush.
Well, one of their players gets injured in practice and Reggie Bush calls it karma.
Well, then Rex Ryan gets all up in arms about him.
He needs to apologize.
My.
My.
Give me a sandwich.
My.
And he threw his brother under the bus locally.
I'm just like, really?
Do you hear about that?
You are a.
No, I didn't.
Whenever.
What's his name?
Rob.
Ryan.
No, no, no.
The cowboy that we lost this week to the toe injury.
Sean.
Beyond Sanders.
No.
I'm going to surf toe.
Nine two.
Apparently he had this.
He's got something similar.
But he's out for the season.
It's our best defensive player.
I can't think of his name.
I had a car.
No, it's Sean something.
Ross Burbot.
Okay.
Sean Lee.
Anyway, yes.
Anyway, what?
Rex called his brother.
Rob.
Rob.
And not me.
He's.
I'm never going to finish this damn story.
He said that he was crying.
He said.
He said.
He said he was so upset about losing him that he was actually crying.
And of course, Rex gets in front of television cameras and tells everybody this.
Yeah.
So it makes Rob Ryan look like a total.
Softie.
I was like, that ain't right.
Why would you put your brother out there like that?
He said, I'm not a softie.
I'm pudgy.
Fluffy.
He has to get the heat off him.
Rex does anyway.
Just so wrong.
I was like, man, why would you do that to your brother?
Trade deadline is this Tuesday rumors of Tibo on the trade block are out there.
Miami got on the phone.
Get on the phone.
What do they do?
It was, that's right.
It was in Rivas got hurt.
Thank you, John.
That bush made the karma comment.
Oh, okay.
Because Rivas Island is closed.
Yeah.
That is a big blow to him, but it's still funny because it's happening to Rex Ryan.
We're actually going to talk about the jets here in just a moment.
What we talk about going over.
And we're looking back at week seven.
My god.
Yeah.
Amazing.
Tennessee with a one point win over Buffalo.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, 27 of 35, 225 yards, three touchdowns in a pick.
How'd that huge contract work out for you?
Indie over Cleveland by four in a game that you could have slept through and probably been in just as entertained.
Houston wins again.
Absolutely decimating Baltimore.
I watched most of this game.
This was not pretty.
Ah, yeah.
I watched it and it was 43 to 13.
I mean, they look awesome, defense.
Baltimore did.
Well, I mean, you lost two of your best players.
Yeah.
Well, it sucks his back, isn't he?
He says they brought him back.
He's early, but you lost right.
Lewis, you lost somebody else too.
Green Bay, over St. Louis, 30 to 20.
Aaron Rogers, 30 of 37, 342 yards and three touchdowns.
My beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose again to New Orleans on a game that ended in controversy.
And I want this looked at and I want the rule changed.
What's that?
I didn't see it.
Touchdown scores at the end should have been to win.
Yeah.
But a defender pushed the receiver, pushed him out of bounds.
Which then, because they even said, well, he pushed him out of bounds,
but if he gets his footing, he's not that ineligible.
Right.
They ruled it ineligible.
If you're forced out of bounds, you should not be ruled ineligible.
That's just my feeling.
I thought that's how that's how it is on kickoffs.
It's not for gunners.
It's not apparently to try to win a game.
They ruled them as an ineligible receiver.
And this guy caught the ball with nobody around.
I mean, he was, when we go back and watch, he's pushed out of bounds.
By, oh, I'm sorry.
Who was it?
New Orleans, cheaters.
Yeah.
Put Rick's right on the last two.
I would put them under such a microscope.
I can't believe they don't.
I wish all the New Orleans.
Oh, now, but see, now New Orleans, New Orleans ownership
is asking Paul Tagliaboo to recuse himself
from the role that he's been put in by Cadal.
You know what?
If you had that solid of evidence that you think you will be exonerated,
why are you fighting?
That's all I'm saying.
Exactly.
If I got nothing to hide, I got nothing to worry about.
I say it every day.
Yeah.
Literally.
If you got nothing to hide and you got nothing to worry about,
it shouldn't matter who's adjudicating it.
Because if you can prove in the court of public opinion,
you can say, look, here's the proof that we didn't do this.
Signed affidavits are coming from both ways.
So what are you going to do?
Which is going to do, brother?
You know what I mean?
Yes.
Your Dallas Cowboys squeak one out against the Caroline of Panthers.
Which, Romo and Newton probably write about the same kind
of a deal except Newton had to pick.
Minnesota over Arizona, 2114.
Not much.
Adrian Peters and 23 Russians for 153 yards in a touchdown.
And same.
Still getting done.
The Giants over Washington 27 to 23, Robert Griffin III,
20 of 2858 yards, two touchdowns in a pick.
I watched, I saw a story this week where some journalist
was going to some ranking system that said luck was having,
was doing a better performance overall than RG3.
I was like, so it's because he's not getting,
are we, are we really running the ball?
Are we using golf rules or the lower score wins?
Because RG3 is carrying that team right now.
Oakland over Jacksonville and overtime in the battle
of who cares?
Exactly.
Carson Palmer 26 of 46, 298 yards of touchdown in a pick.
I just saw that.
You must be on David's page.
No, I've had this alone for like two months now.
New England over the Jets had also a game that went into overtime
that Chad and I watched together.
Yes.
In a game that got kind of crazy.
The Jets looking like they were going to pull ahead of this thing
and then New England being New England this,
who they were.
Brady 26 of 42, 259 and two touchdowns.
All right, Brady.
In the Sunday night game, Pittsburgh wins over Cincinnati
in a game that can only be ascribed as fast forwardable.
Heath Miller, six receptions, 53 yards in a touchdown.
The Monday night game.
Chicago over, Detroit at home, 13 to 7.
Stafford 28 of 46, 261 yards.
Detroit did not score until the fourth quarter late.
He's looking bad this year.
Chicago owned this game up from the get go.
I think every team in the NFL has just said,
this is what you're going to do to stop Calvin Johnson.
He just can't get open, man.
I'm just waiting for somebody when they play them
to nickname their cornerback Optimus Prime.
That's all I'm waiting for.
And nobody's done this yet.
Let's see.
I don't think they would understand that.
If somebody goes off Megatron, somebody gets it.
I'm saying like here, the radio announcers.
I don't think they would be.
And your Thursday night game, I beloved Tampa Bay Buccaneers
all over Minnesota.
36 to 17, Josh Freeman, 19 to 36, 262 and three touchdowns.
Percy Harvin had a touchdown.
Yeah.
Oh, and a fantasy football tip here.
Ryan Fitzpatrick has got me more points than Tom Brady
for four out of the seven weeks this year.
Wow.
And I'd like to...
What the hell, let's just do this.
Chad and I were having lunch in a local establishment today.
And...
How can I say this?
Before one starts discussing what one thinks one sees on television,
one must inspect the context clues on the screen.
Oh.
It was what?
See, two o'clock in the afternoon.
Yeah.
Right before the Gator Game started.
And at this new, they've remodeled the...
That's the Wendy's by our house.
Beautiful.
Has couches and a TV.
Yeah, he just said Wendy's and beautiful in the same sex.
It looks great.
I mean, they're actually, instead of giving you a number,
they ask for your name and they call your name out
when you order for them.
They have two of the Coca-Cola freestyle machines.
Great.
Artisan bake goods.
Yeah, they have cupcakes and cinnamon rolls and brownies and...
Great.
I mean, we're talking bakery stuff.
It doesn't look like they churn it out of a...
But the TV.
That's above the fake fireplace.
They have a fake fireplace in there too.
It's awesome.
Is showing the Cowboys playing the Giants.
Okay.
Now.
Today.
Being observant, because I am.
I'm fairly observant.
Saturday.
I notice that the NBC logo is on the screen.
And I also notice that the NFL network logo is on the screen.
So, my interpretation is this game is not live.
Right.
Plus it's Saturday.
Yeah.
I took a clock in the afternoon.
And the lights are on.
You hope.
So you know we're already in prime time.
And the last time I checked, it was sunny outside.
And they were in Cowboys Stadium.
So even the time difference doesn't exist at this point.
Right.
Unless they were playing in one day.
Which is happening this weekend, right?
Yes.
And I'm having to listen to the two men next to us.
Who obviously couldn't get a table at Boca de Pepper.
Cowboys are playing in the middle of day on a Saturday.
I just couldn't understand what that balance was.
I couldn't help myself.
I was like, guys, no, this is the tape-like game.
I thought it was one for the season opener, but then I realized they were in Dallas.
So it couldn't have been.
Right.
And like two minutes later on the screen.
Classic game.
Last year.
You weak 16.
Or weak 17.
You could almost hear the banjo's warming up.
Oh.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
So let's talk about your slate of games for tomorrow.
We got no legs, Lieutenant Dan.
Did you walk out?
I don't want the back.
The Washington Redskins at the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If you're a cowboy fan, you're praying for a 0-0 tie.
Seattle at Detroit.
This game could either be great or it could be absolutely horrible.
Yeah.
Depends on which of those teams are.
Carolina at Chicago.
Good luck with all that Cam Newton.
The Atlanta Falcons are at Philly tomorrow.
Atlanta, the only undefeated team left.
I think Atlanta's going to win that one too.
I got a root for Philly.
I need the champagne to pop in Miami.
New England is at St. Louis.
That will be a slaughter.
It might be 140 to two.
Jeff Fisher's got that team kind of turned around a little bit.
No.
But not that much though.
It's not agree with you.
Yes.
I hope so.
Indy is at Tennessee.
Indianapolis, you have to win this game.
You have to.
San Diego at Cleveland tomorrow.
Snooze Fest.
The aforementioned my beloved Miami Dolphins are at the New York.
I said the kid that they're at the Jets.
So the kid lives in New York.
Yeah.
I'll take that.
Oh.
Don says, you know, great thing.
But he doesn't have any free Wendy's coupons.
Only Chick-fil-A.
So we have to.
And oh, and Don, I think that the sailors are going to actually kill RG3.
I don't see him walking out the field on his own.
Jacksonville at Green Bay.
If that line is less than 40 points, take it.
Soon to be the Oklahoma City Jaguars.
Oakland at Kansas City tomorrow.
Division game, but really.
Don't say it.
Yeah.
Giants at Dallas.
That is going to be the late game on your local Fox affiliate.
New Orleans at Denver is your Sunday night game.
It's going to be like 38 to 14.
Denver.
I want to pay the throw for 9,000 yards.
I don't see how I can't.
The defense is terrible.
And your Monday night game San Francisco at Arizona.
Who?
San Francisco at Arizona.
Yay.
I'm telling you Monday night football has been getting the shaft for about six or seven years now.
The Monday night lineup has been just in general just bad.
Is that how long ESPN is doing it now?
Like do they think those are big games?
They've had Monday night football.
Look at that up for four or five years at least.
It's been at least that long.
And San Francisco is probably going to have like 15 sacks.
Because I don't think Cobbs back up is skeleton.
Skeletor.
Skeletor.
Skeletor.
We'll go with that.
Skeletor.
No.
It was on ABC through 2005.
So it's been seven years.
Wow.
Yeah, let that sink in.
I blame ESPN for it.
I think they're so arrogant.
This game is going to be awesome.
Here's my thing with ESPN.
I thought their Sunday night coverage when they had Sunday night was better.
Then their Monday night.
Now NBC does a great presentation.
So I'm not upset about NBC getting Sunday night football.
I just wish that ESPN would do Sunday and NBC would do Monday.
It should be network.
It should be.
But with NBC though, that's a weeknight for them.
They want those.
They want those.
Prime time drama ratings.
No, I mean.
Yeah.
But I'm sure they'd find a way around it.
Move it to Sunday.
Yeah.
There's that.
But that's going to do it for NFL talk.
Remember where your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Make sure you visit our website.
www.theclubhousepodcast.com.
You can listen to our show live there.
Find out where we're going to be and when we're going to be there.
Let's talk a little bit of music.
Shall we?
So I heard I hear the story last week.
About the Snoopy Lion dog thing.
Whatever he's calling himself this week.
And we all know that the classic Snoopy dog track drop it like it's hot.
Which I don't have a clean version of as far as playing this.
But we find out this week that Snoopy dog dog has gotten himself a corporate sponsor.
And when you realize who the corporate sponsor is on a certain level, it kind of makes sense.
But he has chosen to redo one of his classic hits to accommodate this sponsor.
And I'm going to play this.
I know this is not in my iPod.
I'm getting this from YouTube.
So we're going to play this right here for you.
Just play you a little bit of this.
That's I wish you could see this.
He's now taking the product out of a Halliburton briefcase and placed it in a microwave.
Here it comes.
And the product has now grown arms and legs and it's dancing in the microwave.
Oh.
And there's video vixens in this.
And there's graffiti.
Okay.
Okay.
So I'm just going to stop it there because it's going to continue to stutter like this.
For those of you that haven't figured this out, it is now pocket like it's hot.
Because now Snoopy dog is now being sponsored by hot pockets.
Snoopy lion.
I'm sorry.
Yes, that's once again me bashing my head on the microphone.
And there's somebody else in the video with him wrapping with him.
I don't know who this guy is.
But there are chicks in the video with hot pockets.
Are you serious?
I'm not kidding you.
Are they really happy wearing this?
They're they're they're acting like they're going to eat the hot pocket.
Which we know they're like how quickly can I get this away from me?
Right.
Hi, you'll be calling in sick today.
If you've never heard Jim Gaffigan's bit about hot pockets, it's one of the funniest things ever.
But this happened.
God.
At least he didn't try to remake one of his reggae songs for him.
I wish they would.
Because those songs suck already.
We don't need to make a good song and make it suck.
Pocket like it's high.
Really?
It's really a thing.
Oh.
God.
That's so terrible.
You'll do anything for money.
Anything.
Oh, pocketism.
By the way, I'm kind of shoe honing something in here.
Have you heard anything about this thing on the Sundance channel called Iconoclasts?
Yeah, they've done it before.
It's a series.
The one they're doing this week.
The Seth MacFarlane and Nora Jones.
I did hear something about that.
Intrigued on this.
Well, they actually made fun of it once on Sam and I live when it was Charles Barclay and Bajork.
Okay, that's funny.
That's good.
It was Keenan Thompson playing Barclay and it was Kristen Wheat playing Bajork.
He called it like Bajork or something.
I got on the stand with you saying, you crazy.
Funny, funny things.
So, if you've got nothing else that you want Thanksgiving day, head on over to the independent film channel.
As they are going to be showing a marathon of the R-Kelly trapped in the closet bit because he is releasing 20 more chapters the day after.
Why?
Why?
And I've heard the quote-on-quote trailer for this.
First of all, you know what?
He's doing it because he doesn't have to write anything because there's no rhyme scheme and there's no rhythm scheme.
And there's really no melody.
Here's all I can hear.
And they pick up the phone.
And the way he's picking up the phone.
And somebody else picks up the phone.
That was the whole thing.
When did this debacle begin?
No one.
Oh, you're going to be looked at up.
Hold on.
I mean, we, he passed relevance in their, you know, the exit for relevance was about, oh, 300,000 miles ago for this torque.
The first chapter was in 2005.
Oh, oh, really?
Oh, yes.
That's still too long.
Yes.
Let it go.
Who the hell cares?
Yeah.
We've already been 23 chapters and they're only like two to three minutes apiece.
Somebody just needs to take him out behind the building and beat his butt.
It is not 1994.
You will never, ever duplicate the greatness of 12 play again, ever.
I believe he can fail.
There's no belief.
It's a proof.
This is stupid.
This is so stupid.
It was dumb back then.
When I first heard about this, I'm like, and this is it.
Well, and he released, I think it was chapters 11 through 15.
He actually did on the video musical warts one year.
And I was just, and then he did a DVD of it.
Why does anybody give this guy the time?
It was in 2005.
It was one new chapter that he lip synced at the 2005 video musical warts.
The DVD came out shortly after that.
And then in 2007, he released more.
But here's what I want to know.
Why is I have see getting mixed up with it?
No kid.
Because even MTV, BET and V2 wants it.
Please.
We're sorry.
We're sorry.
We have, we have anything better to show.
And thanks given.
We've got a, we've got a rerun of 16 and pregnant.
We'll be right back.
Speaking of people, I'd like to beat to death.
So it's announced this week as well that Courtney Love is going to be working on a musical for Broadway in the vein of
Not necessarily American idiot, but more in the vein of Mama Mia, where she's going to take Nirvana songs
and use them to tell the story of her and Kurtz relationship.
Is Nirvana going to get mad about someone else using their music after this?
She owns it.
I'm pretty sure.
Oh, okay.
If anybody's going to get mad, it's going to be no but chilling because he's someone that can't seem to get a career off the ground.
Dave Grohl's like, let me list you all the other bands I've done.
Yeah.
So I'm, I'm financially, I'm solid.
Yeah.
We're good.
This might be kind of interesting if it's like like an across the universe type thing maybe, but I just don't.
This doesn't make it to first intermission.
But I've got such a disdain for her as do most people that have followed this incredibly tragic saga.
She just repulses people.
Nobody is going to want to go out and get me and see to it that Courtney Love gets a dime in a related news Broadway has closed.
They decided to work on the sequel to the Spider-Man Broadway.
All you see are a bunch of Mr. Pepperman jackets walking away.
What?
Hello, my baby.
Hello, my honey.
Hello, my ragtime girl.
Wow.
This, this is just, I read this and I went.
Am I on the onion?
Did I, did I go to the wrong website?
It's really a thing.
I just don't see it happening.
So, um...
I'd say wonder if anybody knows the answer to this next question.
Does anybody know who is sponsoring this upcoming Rolling Stones pay-per-view?
It's going to be called...
That lost my face.
One more shot.
It's from the Prudential Center on December the 15th.
Yes, indeed.
You know who's reproducing this?
Yeah!
Oh my god.
You haven't seen this?
No.
They promoted the fool out of it during RAW either last week or the week before.
I've not seen it in two weeks.
Well, that would be why you haven't heard.
WWE will be producing this pay-per-view.
Don't know how this happened.
But it's, this is a thing.
This is going to happen.
Thank you for this one.
Yeah.
And you know what?
Even the Guns and Roses cover wasn't bad.
I always think of the interview of the vampire winner here.
And they keep expanding this tour.
So, this tour is going to be pretty big.
Wow.
I just always wonder...
With bands like this, how do you pick a set list?
You got plenty to choose from.
I mean, you've got 50 years worth of music to choose from.
Yeah.
How do you pick a set list?
And make it fresh?
Make it worth charging a hundred bucks a ticket for?
That was a lot.
That's why I'm a jacker.
It's not very good.
So, Prince does a concert in England somewhere.
And a couple different things happen from it.
One of them is...
Kristen Stewart and Robert Patterson are seeing this thing together.
Oh.
So, there's that.
And Mick Foster from Foster the People.
He gets kicked out for using his phone.
Apparently, Prince now has a bit at his concert.
I guess he'd only have this for the smaller venues.
Because it was only for like a hundred people.
You can't use your phone.
Don't want to take pictures.
First of all.
And this has been one of my issues with this security
where I go to these screens for movies.
Please don't use your phone.
I'm like, let me explain something to you.
Yeah.
How good a quality.
Am I really going to get of your movie on my phone?
Right.
Well.
Well, of the movie, no.
But he performed at Kimmel.
Performed on Kimmel Live this week.
But it wasn't too bad.
But shut up.
He did like a five six song set.
And it only aired like one and a half songs of it.
Like he did that new song, Rock and Roll love affair,
which is meh.
But he did the dance electric,
which is a song he gave to Andre Simone back in the 85
that is amazing.
I've never heard him do it on a stage.
But of course, that's what they played during the end credits.
We got like a minute and a half.
And he pointed to go.
No.
But he went into like a, like he did take me with you,
Raspberry, Beret, Cream.
He did the time.
The time's cool.
And he worked in.
He stopped to get enough.
And when I told my daughter that her head exploded.
But none of that made the air.
But on YouTube,
someone that got into this gig,
this outdoor concert filmed it on their phone.
And it was taken down within a day.
So that's why he's like that.
I'd have been like, everybody steal this in post-its ear.
He can't catch all of us.
I mean, if he doesn't,
you know, even if he doesn't.
But if the fans don't get to see it,
where's the issue?
That's what I was saying.
I'm like, if only a certain amount of people
that were lucky enough to live there and get in the door.
Because I don't, again, only holds like a couple of hundred people.
What is the harm?
What is the harm? Seriously?
He's never known for not making anything back.
He's not making anything off of it.
I'm sure.
Probably why.
Because the brief amount of time I got to watch it,
I was pretty impressed with the set.
As we talked about last week,
the Justin Timberlake Marries, the Jessica Beale in Italy.
Have you heard this story, though, that came from this?
Went around LA
and filmed homeless people
giving them best wishes on their wedding.
The video goes viral.
Timberlake has to come out and make an apology.
First of all, why?
Because you didn't do this.
Because he's a stand-up guy
and was done in his name.
And then people were circulating rumors that they showed this video
at the wedding.
Did they?
No!
He said, what?
No!
Sit inside you.
Wow, that's way inside.
That's what she said.
Can't we just leave Timberlake alone?
The kids got a fairly good moral compass.
I have nothing but good things to say about him.
You don't hear stories of him getting stupid with stuff.
They asked him what he did about his friend
and he goes like,
he said that.
He said that.
He said that.
The story is not in Timberlake's website.
How do you not like that guy?
He is such a likable, likable kid.
The history of SNL that can literally walk in
and Saturday at 8 o'clock and milk
and put him on for something.
By the way, last week,
SNL Bruno Mars Host and Musical Guest
great episode.
Tom Hanks was there.
Is that why it was great?
It was good.
They did a sketch where it was at Pandora Internet Radio.
And they were having a problem
where vocal tracks were going out on different channels.
And Bruno Mars was like an intern
that was doing impersonations
of all these other singers.
Like he did Michael Jackson.
He did Steven Tyler.
The first one he did was Billy Joe Armstrong for cream days.
And he was thinking the words.
And he did some of his new music.
The first song I really didn't dig
real much.
The second song I thought was really good.
Don't really agree with some of the things he talks about
this song.
I just caught the sponsor
set your boy through
out for the Rolling Stones tour.
Oh, Gerrit Hall and Life Alert.
Well played, John.
Taylor Swift announces this week
that she will be doing
another stadium tour
to support her brand new album red.
She will play Calvoy Stadium again.
This will be the second time she's played there
after May the 25th.
After breaking things off with
what's his name with Connor Kennedy?
Allegedly.
She's still building a house right next door.
These are allegations.
She's not admitted to it.
I don't know.
I looked that up on IMD because it seemed like
they just made it a thing.
I read the word allegations.
New albums this week.
We had an album from a
from a band called Black
Country Communion.
Chad, what do you know about this band?
Nothing.
Should I?
You might.
Let me get the particular.
You are frightening me.
This is kind of a super group.
You have
keyboardist Derek.
I can't even say his name.
Shenian.
Basist and vocalist Glenn Hughes.
drummer Jason Bonham.
Wow.
And your guitar player?
Wait for it.
Don says Timberlake was a jerk to him
when he worked for seasons.
So there you go.
Just a sensor not mine.
Well, yeah, because
well, if I just said that
that wasn't the word he used,
but there you go.
Still nothing?
Love this song.
Sounds like audio slave.
Nope.
Look at this song play all day.
Young man by the name of Joe Bonamassa.
Oh, good lord.
Yeah, we listened to this on the way home from work a couple of months ago.
I love this guy.
And he can play, brother.
Yeah.
He was actually a part of that rock and roll of him induction this year.
He remember who was at ZZ Top inducted,
but when they did their song,
he played with them.
This guy's intense.
Yeah, Joe Bonamassa is a bad man dude.
He's like this generation Satri.
And this is the black country comedian.
This is their third album.
Yeah, you heard me say that right.
He is this generation Satriani.
He is a mad man.
Check out his stuff.
It's really good.
This is probably one of my favorite songs.
I thought you were going to throw me like a Nick Jonas in the association kind of curve ballers.
No, no, no, no.
Celo Green releases his new album,
Celo's Magic Moment,
which will be his Christmas album on being told.
The first thing goes with them up.
The video last week.
His career is over.
He's already got a Christmas album out.
One that your daughter knows very well.
Yeah, releases new horizons.
We have a new album from Neil Young.
And crazy horrors.
I'm sorry. Maybe I don't roll the doobies.
I don't get Neil Young.
I never have gotten Neil Young.
I've always skipped over it.
Never heard a song.
I was always like, when did Neil Diamond get so old?
Yeah.
You think he has the audacity to call himself Neil Young?
Ben called Thrice,
and the kids in the hair like release a live album called anthology.
Toby Keith releases Hope on the Rocks,
which I'm sure is an alcohol reference.
Toby Keith?
No.
This guy.
Did you see this special on last night?
I did not.
Neither did I.
I'll win.
Son on the guy and keep going.
That was something you were going to give us some insight.
Yeah, I mean.
No, nothing.
Rod Stewart releases his Christmas album,
Merry Christmas Bird.
His age is given up.
His last four albums have been all covers.
Exactly. And you know why?
Because he can.
He's 947 years old.
Just had a new kid last year.
How many American songbooks can you put out?
Especially when you're, oh, I don't know,
not American.
Exactly.
That's always bugged me.
It's terrible.
The guy's on the hard line.
We're talking about this.
He's just done.
His career is over with.
But you know what?
You can't argue that.
But he's one of those guys who continue to sell out of Venus.
Rod Stewart sings the hits of Rod Stewart.
And it would still go platinum.
Wow, he sounds just like Rod Stewart.
And the voice of Rod Stewart.
They're so close to the originals.
In the voice of Bill Cosby.
Yeah, why not?
Comedy.
I'm long to say.
If you want my party, then you think of sex.
Come on.
You can let me know.
That's not like much of my hair.
It's not like Randy Savage.
And then the next room.
And after a long taco mess.
That sounds like.
Oh, yeah.
I'm just trying to shoot the wheels off.
I'm just trying to shoot the wheels off.
We need no help, sir.
That does a great job on its own.
We have self-removing wheels.
Let's go on campus.
Talk to a little college football.
LSU.
And the Honey Badger.
Badger, badger, badger, badger.
This actually broke as I was talking to Cody
on the phone the other day.
We're talking to funny goes.
Oh, Honey Badger got busted for pot.
What?
Tyron Matthew, Carnell Hatcher,
Derek Bryant and Jordan Jefferson
are arrested Thursday
because they've found no, here's the deal.
Jordan Jefferson.
Also a standout player there.
Another quarterback or something?
You know, if you're going to have 10 bags of quote.
No, he's a dime bag.
If you're going to have 10 bags of quote.
High grade marijuana.
A grinder and a scale.
And you're already in trouble from last year
and you're trying to make a comeback.
Mr. Matthew.
Don't put it in your apartment.
Give yourself some form of plausible
teniability.
And besides, when the cop show up at your house
at three o'clock in the morning.
Yeah.
It's not a social call.
It's not by mistake.
For one reason only.
You better pray that that McNeese state offer
is still standing.
Because you've got nothing now.
You're a walk on anywhere at best
and your chances in the NFL are shot.
Yeah.
It's so stupid.
They had to know they were there.
They had to be arrogant.
Like, oh, I'm never going to get caught.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, of course.
Congratulations to Duke.
First book.
They are now bull eligible for the first time since 1994.
Go Duke.
And that is in football.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Have you seen this USC story?
No, I haven't.
Apparently, in last week's game.
Their players are changing jerseys.
Like, changing numbers.
At halftime.
What? Why?
And Lane Kiffin comes out and says.
Everything we're doing is within rules, man.
We're going to be all right.
There is a NCAA code of ethics.
You know what the very first role in the code of ethics is?
You can't change numbers.
During a game.
Wow.
That's it.
Like, every time I see the words Lane and Kiffin
in the same sentence in the news,
it just does nothing but get worse.
Like, this guy is a human train wreck.
How does he still keep getting jobs?
I blows my mind out.
Because USC is going.
You know with all the trouble we're in.
It can't get any worse.
That's pretty sad.
You know, well, USC,
they're probably the most arrogant of all.
I mean, they're never going to lose any recruits ever.
Period.
Normally, this is the point we give you BCS standings.
But everything's been so wheels off today.
Let's just go straight to the scoreboard.
Yeah.
Army loses the ball state today.
30 to 22.
Let's see.
Pit with a big win over Temple.
North Western gets back on their winning ways
and beats Iowa, but they won't be ranked.
Mizzou wins again.
Wow.
Mizzou wins again.
As they beat Kentucky, 33 to 10.
Shenanigans.
South Carolina beats Tennessee 38 to 35.
But more importantly,
did you see the play today?
Marcus Latimore goes down as he's going down a defender
from Tennessee's helmet.
Basically goes straight through his shin
and breaks it in.
Oh.
It's ugly.
It's nasty.
He could be done, done.
Like, done, done.
Like, this is not good.
Texas squeaks one out over Kansas on the road 21 to 17.
Bye-bye, Mac Brown.
No, they're going to keep him for 20-53.
Please get rid of him.
He could shuffle this mortal coil
and he'll be out there.
His figure of him will be on the sideline again.
He'll get paid for it.
Ole Miss over Arkansas 30 to 27.
North Carolina.
Just blasts NC State 43 to 35.
I had a buddy when I was watching that game
and the announcers kept calling both teams North Carolina.
That was good.
Oregon with a big win that today 70 to 14 over Colorado.
Wow.
That strength of schedule is killing them.
They're a great team but strength of schedule is killing you.
Yeah.
Utah State over UT San Antonio 48 to 17 today.
SMU with a big win over Memphis 44 to 13.
North Texas State loses the middle Tennessee State
so there's that.
Number 15 Rutgers goes down to Kent State 35 to 23.
Miami of Ohio beats 24 ranked Ohio.
23 to 20 so there's two ranked teams that have gone down today.
State beats 25th ranked Wisconsin.
16 to 13 and overtime.
Badger badger badger badger badger going down.
Florida State over Duke.
48 to 7 so there's that.
Arizona over USC 3936.
There are three top 10 teams that have lost today.
So far.
Number 21 Boise State wins over Wyoming.
45 to 14 Navy beats East Carolina 56 to 28.
We'll get back to the border war here in just a minute.
Oklahoma State over TCU today.
Number three Kansas State beats the tar out of number 14.
Texas Tech 55 to 24.
Texas going to go back to the drawing board.
But again you lost to the number three team in the country.
So there's no shame in that.
Houston over UTEP today by 10.
FAU beats Troy by a touchdown.
Number 17 Stanford over Washington State 24 to 17.
Game's going on right now.
Western Kentucky over Florida International.
That just just ended 14 to 6.
South Alabama down 7 to Ula, Ula, Ula, Ula.
I'm sorry, Ula, Ula, Ula.
At the end of three.
Vanderbilt blanking UMass 28 nothing in the third quarter.
Also in the third quarter.
Hawaii on the road is winning.
Wow.
Colorado State.
Wow.
My beloved South Florida Bulls are.
You're up 23 to three at the half.
Right now you're down 24.
23 with 610 in the third.
Tilling me small.
Baylor now seven points behind Iowa State in the third quarter.
A&M is killing.
Oh my God.
Auburn right now.
Four minutes, four and a half minutes left in the third quarter.
It is 56 to 14.
Texas A&M.
Can you believe that?
Auburn's not that great though.
Auburn's struggling.
Bad.
Why are you...
I just don't think Gene Chisholk should be on the Odyssey.
But Cody told me there's also rumors of them reopening the Cam Newton investigation.
Oh boy.
Really?
At the half.
San Diego State is up 14 to six on UNLV.
Marshall getting trounced by UCF in the second quarter.
20 to three.
You Louisiana Tech in New Mexico State.
La Tech up seven.
Nothing at the half.
Number six.
Michigan is only...
It's trailing Nebraska by a point right before the half.
Notre Dame Oklahoma.
The marquee game of the day.
Besides the one we're about to talk about.
Ten three.
Notre Dame.
Two minutes left in the first half.
Not surprised.
Alabama.
14.
Nothing at Mississippi State.
At the end of the first quarter.
Later tonight.
Cal will be at Utah.
And number seven Oregon State.
We'll be at Washington.
Those will be later tonight.
Other ranked teams on Thursday.
Clemson Beats Wake Forest.
42 to 13.
Now let's talk about the world's largest cocktail party.
My beloved 40 Gators can't score touchdown today.
Six turnovers.
Man.
It's more than they've had up to this point combined.
That's...
Six turnovers.
You should not even be playing the game.
Um...
Just walk off the field.
You can't even beat a high school ball.
The problem.
And I've said this on this show multiple times.
The problem for it in his hat is they're playing not only second half ball,
but they're playing fourth quarter ball.
You cannot do that forever.
It's going to bite you sooner or later.
Yeah.
Unfortunately, our schedule from now until Thanksgiving weekend is fairly, fairly, fairly week.
But the good news is...
George is the number ten team in the country.
Really?
So losing that game...
I think we can stay top ten, but not by much.
Yeah.
We may switch places with him.
But, I mean, the rest of the way forward to end, we've got Mizzou at home next week.
Then we've got Ula-la at home.
And then we've got Jacksonville stayed at home, and then we have to go to four to state.
Four to state fans, let's not get stupid with it.
Yeah.
Okay, I mean, we're in the season.
We always...
That's always the last game every year.
It's always the last game.
Okay.
Because that's rival.
You're good.
You're not as good as you think you are.
You know, just don't let him off the hook.
Exactly.
And we're going to your house.
We're going to dope Campbell Stadium.
Yeah.
On the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
And at this rate, we could both go into that game with one loss.
Yeah.
Now Florida could have clinched the East today by winning...
If we don't want that game, we would have clinched the East.
So now it's one of those deals...
And we can we hold on.
Because again, I don't want any part of Alabama.
I don't.
Yeah.
Oh.
It might be in...
The fact that they're at Mississippi State and they're your ESPN prime time game.
Yeah.
Really.
Yeah.
Best team in the country.
Yeah.
But it'll be interesting to see how that works out.
Steamroll, that's all it is.
Auburn just scored.
Oh, really?
56-21.
Hey, okay.
So there are almost halfway there.
Oklahoma score, but there's a penalty.
So it's coming back.
Good.
A lot of good college football today.
I want Notre Dame to go undefeated.
They deserve it.
I was talking to Charlotte.
She and her Cody were going to try to go to the game today.
Yeah.
But I texted her.
I said, you guys are road tripping and she goes, you have $438
with a little bit out of our press range.
Yeah.
And then Cody Hawkins texted me and he said, a pair of tickets for this game went...
went online for four grand.
There's a guy at work.
He was going to go.
He was going to sell me his ticket.
He goes, man, I can't give you anything under a grand.
It's like...
And I'm not going to give you anything less than $5.
Exactly.
Yeah.
I'll give you $650.
Let us combine the fact.

Let's combine sports and entertainment as we talk a little pro wrestling.
Find out that the Miz has his next movie role after the Marine Homefront.
It will be called Christmas Bounty.
And it will be on ABC Family.
He'll be a former bounty hunter,
a turned teacher trying to leave his life behind.
But he has to return home at Christmas for one last bounty to benefit his family.
So, did we take Triple H's last two movies and put a Christmas tree in it?
And this is what this is?
Sounds like it.
How is this the happy Christmas story?
It just sounds like it's got suck written all over it.
Why are they still producing movies?
Why are it's WWE Studios still?
Yeah, how about focusing on making your wrestling watchable?
Because if we can't make movies watchable, what the love of God!
You know what's sad?
You know what's sad is I haven't watched the Orden movie and any other scene of movie or...
I haven't even seen the Big Show movie.
No, I don't care.
Or any of Triple H's movies is terrible.
I sat through Nucklehead because it was on Netflix.
I didn't even do that.
There's not even a listing for it on IMTV.
Oh, Christmas back.
Another shiny turn.
Good night.
Why did...
I just want to cry.
This is what we're booking, sir.
This is what we're doing.
It's like they try to find as much wrong that they can do and do that repeatedly.
And ignore what they could be doing right and just keep making the same mistakes.
It's the definition of insanity.
And yes, Don, I was aware.
It's the first time Florida has not scored a touchdown in the game since 1988.
I'm fully aware of that.
But, you know, it's ABC Family.
Could show they do that whole...
25 days of Christmas where they have a different Christmas movie every night and they do the whole.
They have at least one or two new ones that they premiere.
We do live in a world, sir.
Called a Christmas story, too.
I wanted to go there and I was like, no, I'm trying to...
I'm trying not to acknowledge the existence of that film because it shouldn't exist.
Let's talk about RAW.
Or Slal.
Cold Slal.
So, Kofi...
When we talked about Kofi winning the IC title last week and then Kofi's doing his match while Miz is at ringside.
And they were in Egypt just before that.
And Miz claimed to speak Arabic, which means he probably learned how to ask where the restroom was.
And so, by that logic that he was saying...
So with Miz speaking Arabic, that makes him a better intercontinental champ.
I was very confused.
Representing the continent of intercontinental.
USF just rejected what he thinks.
He's the Incontinent Champion.
I was very confused by that.
And why can't anybody say the name of this paper if you're right?
It's Hell in A cell.
It's not Hell in THE cell.
Even Vince said it wrong.
And Cena said it wrong.
That shows you how much they're into it.
Sounds to me like the talent isn't into their own...
Hell in A cell.
At least Vince is consistent and being inconsistent.
Then of course the big news from Rahman tonight was AJ having to resign as General Manager of RAW.
Because she is fraternizing with talent.
But to take her place as the managing supervisor is Vicki Guerrero.
Who were led to believe is having some form of relationship in the storyline with Dolph Ziegler.
Yeah and because Vince never fraternized with the talent.
At least not today.
Only on Monday.
But I am starting to wonder...
I'm starting to wonder if we're going to use Hayman to finally turn her face.
Vicki?
Vicki?
Because if you watch the exchange between her and...
The exchange between her and Hayman.
I'm just saying it really made her look face.
Face? No.
Power struggle? Yes.
I don't see it being a face turn because nobody would ever look at her as a face.
Because nobody wants to look at her face.
I also find it interesting because I was listening to Ryback's scene or like washing Ryback's entrance.
I find it very apropos that the first thing he says right before his pyro is he says wake up.
Because usually by that point Rawls put me to sleep anyway.
So I found that very apropos.
Nice word. He's anti-ambien.
Thank you very much. You're the intern continental host.
I want that in writing.
I want the intercontinental host belt.
Yes.
Give me the pen.
And because...
Because creative is nothing short of genius, we have the newly tagged game.
Yeah.
Which really didn't happen.
But my note when I heard that they were about to do this, my note was...
Remind me again why 3-hour Rawls are a good idea.
Can't because they're not.
Wasn't that pretty much the kind of the start of the death of WCW?
Pretty much.
Yeah.
It's just 3 hours.
We're not going to learn from our mistakes.
We're just going to continuously repeat them.
Well you want to give you 60 more minutes on your DVR.
That's what we want.
It has Dodson.
There's only one hell in the cell match in the paper view.
What about Edge and Vicki?
But that was before.
They're talking currently.
Did you say hell and diesel?
Is that what you just said?
You did a point to say hell in a cell.
Okay, I'm just making sure.
Yes.
Thanks dad.
Don't need you checking on me.
I'm a grown man.
Are you 40?
I'm a man. I'm 43.
He said that I didn't, by the way.
I'm just being honest.
You can count.
We like your personality.
Yes, thank you.
On this whole because as we find out later in the show,
the person that AJ was allegedly having,
fraternizing with was she named Cena.
He said it was a business dinner.
Here's my prediction.
She's going to be the one that named him in the meeting.
Because she's crazy.
And she's going to start stalking Cena.
She's going to be the Mickey James to John Cena's Trish Stratus.
Well, creative is very creative.
And if it happens, I want to check.
I don't know.
Don saying Vicky originally was a face. It was so long ago, I don't even remember that.
She just came in as the grieving widow.
Yeah.
Oh yeah, that whole death hole.
Yeah.
Um, all I can think of, all I'll think he's bugging me with, you know,
Heyman being the ventriloquist and punk being the ventriloquist dummy,
that at some point, Lesnar is going to come back.
They're saying the rumors are tomorrow.
The rumors are he's going to be the one that costs a ride back the title.
So what happens when he pulls him back in time?
He pulls him back into the Lesnar fold.
And punk doesn't have his mouthpiece like he needs one.
I think it's going to start a stable.
No.
I think it does.
Not Mr. Give Me Respect.
No.
He ain't going to share power with anybody.
He's going to be.
Heyman's going to be the manager.
Punk's going to be the mouthpiece.
Lesnar's going to be the muscle.
That'll last about one paper view.
Get through the rumble.
Then the power struggle between them would start.
Get through the rumble.
So maybe so, I don't know.
Because one of them is full time the other one.
Because I figured if anything, if AJ is going to bring down anybody,
he's going to be punk.
And I heard a lot of people talk about the announce table on Monday night.
And I always give credit where credit is due.
With both announcers both being JR and Michael Cole just announcing the match,
there was no stick.
Nobody worked face.
Nobody worked.
Heal.
I liked it.
I've always liked it.
It was a breath of fresh air for me.
Because there's less entertainment.
That's more wrestling.
Because even on Smackdown JPL, it just seems so forced.
Yeah.
And I'm just not a fan of it.
And that's why I was always such a fan of it.
It wasn't like they represented anyone in particular,
but any time that that Savage and McMahon were involved.
I was laughing.
To me, the only really good heel announcer
there ever has been is Bobby Hannon.
Yeah.
And no one will ever be that good.
But just go there.
And that's one thing I can say about TNA with impact.
Announce the match.
Yeah.
Don't try to be a heel.
Don't try to be a baby face.
Just announce the match.
Yeah.
Let's let the talent in the ring handle that.
Did we do an article about Shivani this week?
Uh-uh.
Yeah.
Apparently, whenever WCW got bought, his wife begged him to just get out.
Really?
Yes, please.
Just get out of it.
Just get out of it.
Just do something else with your life.
You've done this long enough.
Don't do this anymore.
Needless to do her vibes.
Is that why I went to baseball or football?
Wherever it was.
I don't know what he was doing.
Last I knew he was doing AM radio for the Braves.
Okay.
He just went to whatever made him happy.
I guess he found his happy place.
But I also think his wife probably knew that Vince was going to make his life a living hell.
Yeah.
Like he makes everybody's.
No, because of what he did.
Like he left Vince pretty high and dry.
On plus making the whole that'll put butts in seats.
But see, I still don't blame him for that.
That line had to have been fed to him.
Yeah.
Not necessarily.
So I see an interview with him where he says otherwise, I'm staying with it.
And did I miss Cena asking AJ out?
I don't remember it happening.
But then again, I'm normally tuning out during those seconds.
And Don, I'm going to almost rely on you for this.
I don't remember a time where he asked her out.
This whole business dinner thing.
I don't remember this ever happening.
When were they saying that it happened?
I want to say they said it was like a month ago.
So I haven't missed an episode of Raw in years.
Yeah, but how quickly do you normally fast forward through this junk?
I don't.
Every, the only thing I fast forward is the commercials.
Or unless it's a recap, like a quarter of a Smackdown was last night.
Yeah.
Unless it's a recap, I don't fast forward.
But I watch every frame.
But you do get distracted a lot.
Well, you got distracted while we were watching Smackdown earlier.
Smackdown suck.
Well, so does Raw.
But it's a lot easier to look at AJ than it is.
And even ankle development, I will pay attention.
I mean, even a crappy two hour Raw is still easier to get through than a plotting three hour.
I mean, a crappy two hour Smackdown is easier to get through than a three hour plotting Raw.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Two hour impacts easier to get through.
Just saying it.
See, Don's talking about Jesse as a heel announcer.
But I just, I loved it whenever Jesse and he and got into it.
He didn't seem to save AJ for like, Kane or someone trying to attack her a couple of months back.
And is that what they're referring to is kind of the start of it.
I don't know.
I can't remember.
It's, it seemed like I remember this happening, but I could just couldn't give you.
Don says right now, Shivani mostly works for the University of Georgia.
Oh, two different stories.
Let's talk impact.
So we know that impact will be live through the end of the year.
Which, okay, I can roll with you on that.
I think come first of the year.
They are taking a huge, huge gamble because they will start the year doing some shows in England,
which I don't have a problem with that.
You know, because they also like that from London.
But here's the problem.
They are taping not only taping impact in London or in England.
I think it's in Birmingham.
It's worth knowing they're taping a month's worth of impact while they're there.
How can you?
How?
Why?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Tom, what are you listening to?
Don't just said listening.
He said he's listening to the, to the bulldogs.
He does radio for the bulldogs.
And it says, listen.
Wow.
I guess it's Shivani.
He's so much Shivani.
Founds!
I just think them doing a month's worth of impact at one time is a horrible idea.
Your ratings are going to be in the toilet because everybody's going to know everything about your show.
In one day.
Yeah, exactly.
And nobody's going to know.
And I'll still watch this because I don't feel like going through all that.
But...
Oh, John saying there was no announcement to the dinner that he even remembers.
So I don't even know.
I'm very confused by that whole storyline.
And this is why you don't do shows in front of a small audience because no one knows what you're talking about.
But I just...
I think this thing for England is a bad idea.
I think any momentum that they're going to build is going to get crushed.
Because again, are you going to ruin a pay-per-view?
If you're going to do an entire month's worth of impact in a day or two,
what are you going to do about your pay-per-view that month?
Yeah.
Are you just going to basically ruin anything that you put into your pay-per-view?
And wouldn't it be bigger to have one impact a week and then for an entire month,
just have everyone in Birmingham just flood all over you and go crazy about your product?
I don't know.
What is this playing?
It's Christopher Daniels theme.
Oh, okay.
It really gets to him in just a moment.
I didn't recognize it.
So I guess Jeff Hardy was going to carry both belts for a while.
Which is kind of weird.
And then James, as they're doing this deal, we're hoeing against the four guys
and he's going to pick one of them to face Hardy at the end of the show.
As Hardy walks out, I guess there's some inner dialogue they played.
And he said, James Storm's great.
But he drinks too much.
Pot.
Kettle.
I'm your conscience.
I'd be like, can I take that line out of the script, please?
Because I mean, granted, we can smell our own.
Don't get me wrong.
It's like that was a little awkward for me.
And now, I don't know if you guys are the only one that watched Impact in the room.
Of course.
They're doing a different announce team for each hour.
What?
It's Borash and some guy that did Hogan's celebrity wrestling in the first hour.
And then it's Tane and Taz in the second hour.
It's Taz so unbearable they can only use him for one hour.
Because this works so well for Nitro.
Because remember, Nitro had a different announce team for every hour.
I forgot about that.
That's right.
Wow.
Oh my god.
Yeah.
Is that all TNA is just a re-loving damn thing?
That's true.
Just very, very sad.
And I'd determined that Matt Morgan is a burlier version of Jim from the office.
Yes.
Because they both look like Muppets to me.
Just saying it.
They've got that same nose structure.
I don't know what it is.
I was reading what Don was going to think.
I said you had a question for him and he said listening.
Oh.
What was it called?
Oh, he was no.
He typed that we would already moved on because he's on the delay.
Yeah.
It's like a 10 second delay from when we talk to when they hear you have to predict what we're going to say.
Yeah.
Come on.
You are my psychic friend.
Daniels though in his promo.
Funny thing he's ever said because he referred to he was talking about how.
Chavo and Hernandez are just.
They're just generic characters.
They should be called Dosteriotivicos.
He almost made Andrews.
But that is Dr. Pepper.
I'm like, okay.
That is the funniest thing Christopher Daniels has ever said.
Ever.
Yeah.
It was trapped.
I don't know.
Who were those clowns that were in that were in WWE that would come to the ring riding on the back of rotting lawnmowers and.
That was Chavo and Eddie.
Oh, that was Chavo and Eddie.
Yes.
Okay.
They were riding the one-deer tractors.
Was it Chavo and Eddie?
I don't think it was Chavo and Eddie.
It wasn't Chavo and Eddie.
It was somebody else.
Yeah, it was somebody else.
Don's going to have to tell us who that was.
But they were riding the one-deer tractors.
I forgot all about that.
Oh, my God.
There's your Dosteriotivicos there.
And then as Hogan announces that Angles going to be the one to take on Jeff Hardy.
He calls Angles a cyborg.
Sorry, Mike.
I knew that chick was a man.
It was very, yeah.
Sometimes I wonder if Hogan even knows what Hogan's saying.
I don't think so.
He's going to say brother a lot.
I bet it takes him like half an hour to type like one tweet.
If it's really him.
Yeah.
But I will say this when they had the main event because it was for the world title.
Don says the TNA locations.
January 23rd in Glasgow.
January 24th in Nottingham.
January 25th in Manchester.
January 26th in Wimbledon.
That's all around my wife's neck of the woods too.
But when they had the main event, they actually had spotlights on both of the guys in their corners as they were ensuring.
I thought that was kind of neat.
Sometimes it's a little things.
Let us move on and do a little bit of movie talk.
I'm sorry, a little bit of Smackdown because December 6th.
Smackdown is going to do Super Smackdown live on sci-fi.
But they're going to be in Birmingham.
England.
Eh?
So, I guess what we're doing.
Allegedly for the Tuesday show, they're going to tape it, but it's only going to be on like a two or three hour tape delay.
But when Smackdown normally airs at seven o'clock Eastern time, it's one in the morning in England.
So...
I'm sorry, I just went cross that.
Very confused by this, but they're going to do it.
That's almost stupid.
The only thing I have to say about Smackdown is I like how Damien Sandel holds the mic like it's a brandy snifter.
That's the only thing I can say about Smackdown because Smackdown is terrible.
Until you 25% of the show was raw recaps.
It is so easy to fall asleep watching Smackdown.
Easy to fall asleep watching raw.
I don't want raw.
It's in the past two weeks.
That's why it's digital no-dos.
Let's go to Movie Talk.
We start as we always do with box office numbers.
Remember, we don't give you last week's box office numbers because those are old.
We give you last night's box office numbers.
Dropping out of the top 10.
Fun size, chasing Mavericks and the perks of being a wallflower.
Chasing Mavericks already?
Yep.
Gosh.
Didn't come out last week.
Yes.
No, it came out last night.
So I guess it didn't drop out the top 10.
It just never got there.
Wow.
Oh.
Number 10.
Making $1.4 million on Friday for a 29-day total of $48.7 million for pitch perfect.
Looks funny to me.
I'm sorry.
Number 9.
$1.6 million for a 15-day total of $26.7 million for the Kevin James vehicle.
Here comes the boom.
Number 8.
Making $1.7 million for an 8-day total of $16.
Just a little over $16 million for a movie Andrew has seen called Alex Cross.
We have to share with the kids what you thought of it.
It was good.
You could definitely tell that Tyler Perry had a lot to do with the movie.
At any point did he say hallelujah.
No.
There was not that.
It was well acted though.
But someone else could have.
How was Matthew Fox?
Oh, yeah.
I liked him.
He was good.
Oh, very believable.
He was the bad guy, right?
Yep, he sure was.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Awesome.
The barely recognizable Matthew Fox.
Number 7.
Making $1.75 million on Friday for a 15-day total of $36.2 million for sinister.
Is there much of that, Chad?
Sinister?
Not really.
Number 6.
Making $2.5 million.
$2.6 million on Friday for a 29-day total of $123.5 million for hotel Transylvania.
It still looks cute to me.
Don says that one deer lawnmowers were the mexico.
Super crazy psychosis.
Okay.
I didn't think it was.
Yeah, I didn't think it was any of those long gone by then.
Number 5.
Making another $2.57 million for a 22-day total of $112 million for taking two.
I didn't think it would break 100.
So I was all the bad word of Matthew's been getting.
Number 4.
Making $3.14 million for an 8-day total of $37.1 million.
Oddly enough, in fourth place for paranormal activity.
Wow.
And 5's been Greenlit.
Oh, my house.
5's been Greenlit.
And they're talking about doing a spin-off that will cater to the Latin audience.
True story.
Oh, the jokes that are waiting to be tough.
Stop it.
The bronze medal last night, opening last night with $3.5 million for Cloud Atlas.
I want to see you too.
Rotten Tomatoes refers to it as a beautiful mess.
Yeah, I know.
I read it.
The silver medal last night, also opening with $3.5 million.
Silent Hill Revelation 3D.
Never saw the first one.
It was hard to get through that first one.
And number 1, last night.
15 days.
It has made $52 million for a million of that last night to the Ben Affleck-directed Argo.
Wow.
Way to go, Ben.
Don says that they did rock from England live before they started 1 o'clock in the morning over there.
He says he remembers them doing the live from London past frost.
I just don't know if they can do that this time around.
I just don't take that one.
They may have said they were live.
I just...
No.
No way.
There's no way.
Everyone's gonna be sloshed.
So Disney has picked up the rights to a book I remember from my kid, from my childhood,
called Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day.
I have no recollection.
Really?
Oh, I love this book unless a kid.
I never read it.
Surprise.
Nobody's done it.
Surprise.
Did they ever do a movie for how to eat fried worms?
Um, yeah.
They did?
About three or four years ago.
Did they really?
I had no idea.
Because I know they did superl...
2006.
Really?
Wow.
Was it made for Disney or made for Nickelodeon or something?
No.
It was the actically released, sir.
I'll be darned.
I had no idea.
Yeah.
It was that good.
Let's see.
5.2 average rating from users.
Haley Kate Eisenberg.
Isn't Jesse Eisenberg's sister?
Huh.
Was in this.
Philip Bolden, Clint Howard was in this.
Tom Kavanaugh was in this.
So yeah.
Oh, A&M update there now.
Up 6321.
Nice.
It made 13 million dollars to box up.
Yikes.
Okay.
So there's that.
James Cameron has decided he will direct more movies besides Avatar.
As he will be directing a movie called the informational list.
After a second and third Avatar films are done.
Basically, this is kind of a girl with a dragon tattoo-ish.
Anybody's co-producing it with Favreau.
It's about a hacker that gets involved in investigating things that are bigger than they should be.
Okay.
We got, earlier this week, David Keckner was on the Bob and Tom show.
One of my personal favorites and said anchor man 2 will be beginning filming in late February.
They're hoping to get it out next year, but there's been no time table set.
They're waiting on the final draft of the script.
Oh.
Can't wait not to see.
I like that movie.
You leave it alone.
And because...
That was sarcasm.
We need to get some correct music for this next story.
Because we can't stop slaughtering my childhood.
And this isn't even the good one.
This is a shaken rate one.
The people that brought us out in the chipmunks and that will be bringing us Mr. Ed
are going to be reviving another 80s childhood show that I watched.
If you ever thought watching a cartoon that looks like Garfield after a bender.
You were not watching Garfield.
You were watching Heathcliff.
And we're bringing that to the silver screen.
Wow.
I just..
I don't even know what's that.
Beat it to death and no good dry.
Beat it to death and no good dry.
Oh, and if that wasn't bad enough.
Look at the next bullet point.
Get ready America for the son of Ernest.
It is coming to a theater near you.
And it's being produced by the same guy that produced the Ernest movies.
As we know the great Jim Barney passed away a few years ago.
years ago several years ago. And so now we're going to have son of Ernest because we need that.
Is he going to go know what a mean burn junior? Yeah yeah that's a look forward to. Oh I'm not
looking forward to but then I heard this story this week apparently recently we're right back
to where we started. So happy about this though. Apparently there has been a 15 minute documentary
about the making of the Empire Strikes Back that has surfaced that has never been seen by anybody
with interviews with the cast and crew on set during filming the whole nine. I don't know if we'll
see it but somebody has some of the footage out there and the reason that I know about this is
I listened to a podcast called Holly with Babylon and I'm going to let you guess whose clip interview
clip they showed. And it was and it was weird because it was Harrison Ford and for those
who don't know the hospital Hollywood Babylon Ralph Garmin does a brilliant impersonation of Harrison
Ford. But they interviewed him and they asked him what the movie was about and about two
I'm going to give you his answer and then I want your reaction.
Could you be any further off base? Yeah the good guys didn't win the Empire. That's what made
Empire great spoiler alert from 20 years ago but the bad guys won. No they didn't. I totally screwed
up the rent. The bad guys lost. The bad guys were winning at the end of the Empire
decisively. I mean it was Luke loses a hand. They're wise doesn't even know where they are.
Hand gets frozen and put into an ice cube tray. They have to abandon their base on hot.
Did you call it cold? What was that like? Yeah cold. Yeah.
But I if this thing shows up somewhere I want to see this because if I'm not mistaken there's not
a lot of behind the scenes footage available for Empire for some reason. Not a whole heck of a lot
but you know of course they're going to let this surface immediately after their six disc blue
ray additions are actually no more than that but they're allegedly this was just found in a box
in a warehouse somewhere. Yeah of course it was right next to the arc. X-Men first class the
sequel be called Days of Future Pass is not going to be directed by Matthew Vaughan. Kind of
disappointed with that. Yeah but the name it's first on the list. Come back home Brian Singer.
You tried another superhero franchise. It didn't really work out for you as we all knew it
wouldn't why you let Brett Ratner direct X-3 when he was supposed to direct Superman Returns
is flipping beyond me. I'm okay with Singer. I'm okay with he's proven he can handle X-Men properties.
I'm okay with him but oh is is that your yeah that's a lot more thing. That was brutal said
but I was so impressed with Matthew Vaughan's handling of X-Men. Oh yeah I mean I would like to
have him but if I can't I'll take Singer or just you know let me give you my fanboy angle and
let Kevin Smith do it but you know he's not going to do another movie after it hits somebody if
that ever gets made. I've got another name I'd love to throw out there that hasn't made a movie
in years. Me that I would love to see direct this film. Me? No. Okay. Richard Donner. I don't
do that. Who's that? What? What? Oh okay. Not just lethal weapon. Superman. All the lethal weapon films
and Superman. I'm too young for this. That's a good point. Arnold Schwarzenegger is announced
less than 48 hours ago. He will be reprising the role of Conan or Conan depending on where you're
from. Yeah. In the legend of Conan. It is currently in development. Dead. Is it a deadline?
The the website deadline has been the one. Is it the legend of Conan or King Conan? What I read
it was the legend of Conan. Okay. How long are we going to do this? Maybe I close my mind. And
Bond 24 has been set for the fall of 2014. They're and they're letting the guy that wrote Skyfall
write it. They put this much faith in Skyfall. He's going to write the next one and the only
people that know the plot. There's like four people and that's it. Have you read any early reviews
of Skyfall? I have not. I have. Let me go to Rotten Tomatoes. I read IGN's review. I have not
read it. Yes. Yeah. They said that we've got to figure out how we're going to pull this off.
The not only is this Daniel Craig's best bond film, but it's the best bond film that's been made
in the past 20 years. I was going to say let's be careful. That's what they said. That's
what IGN did. Better than Golden Eye. That's what they said. Whoa. And dude, personally,
and I don't know if I'm trading in sacrilegious territory here. I thought Casino Royale was
better than Golden Eye. And I love Golden Eye. No. No. No. I give you ballpark on that. I don't know.
Golden Eye is one of my favorite ones of all time. I think because Casino Royale with him being a new
bond was so unexpectedly good. But see, I had high expectations for Casino Royale going into it.
Yeah. Because I was when they announced him and I saw him, I'm like, yeah, I'm cool with this.
I had no shun. He swab. He's deboner. I just, you know, I just had no idea he was going to be that good
in that role. I think that just in a royal opening song. That was Chris Cornell. Chris Cornell.
It's called, you know, my name. Because the one after that was that Jack Whiteen, Alicia Keys.
Keys. Yeah. This one's going to be a doubt. Tina Turner wipes them off the floor.
Golden has probably one of the best themes ever. I will give you that.
Hold on. I remember you texted me that one time. Golden Eye and not the lasers. I was like, yeah.
What are you, are you, are you having your turrets? Wow. John, John said he did not like Golden Eye.
He thought Casino Royale was much better. I'm not willing to go there.
I really, really. I mean, but I mean, they, they're kind of like have the same syndrome. You know,
you're, you're, you're both bonds that have, that were new actors playing them after a really long
break. Like when did, when did 87 was, was that daylight? It was daylights. Then licensed to kill.
There was the other way around. Other way or it was living daylights and then licensed to kill.
Okay. So when did license to kill come out 90 89 or 90? Okay. I worked as a movie theater when it
came out. Right. I figured you did 90 or 91. So then we got Golden Eye and 95, right? Yeah.
95. And then how long was the break between
die another day in Casino Royale for a year? Hold on, I'll look it up. This is 2002 2006, right?
It was 2001. 2001 2002. I just remember being so completely disappointed with die another day.
Completely. I agree. It was pointless, stupid. It was comic book. Yeah. I'm almost there.
And then I remember Casino Royale just blowing my mind and quantum of solace.
License to kill was 89. Okay. Golden I 95 tomorrow never dies 97. The world is not enough 99.
Die another day 2002. Wow. And then Royale Royale was 2006. Quantum of solace 2008.
Well, they sure do space these things out now. We know why this one has taken so long.
Right. Because of the MGM debacle. Yeah. But new movies in your movie house this coming Friday.
Boy, I am in wreck it Ralph. I am John C. Riley Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrire and Jane Lynch is the latest
Disney animated film. Put it this way. If you are somebody who played video games in the 80s,
it's like you have to go see this. It's required. Yeah. To me, it looks like required viewing.
No, there will be moments. I'm sure I'll get goosebumps on top of goosebumps.
It's the reckoning. That's all there. Come on. You can play Pac-Man favorite. It would have fit.
Yeah, but that's a very different segment. That's true. The Denzel Washington,
Robert Semeckas directed Flight. By the way, no rating on Reckit Ralph yet in Rotten Tomato. What?
There's no rating yet. Can't wait for flight flight. 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. Basically, this is
did Denzel Washington crash a plane? Didn't he? Was he drunk? Was any? That's all I can tell you this one.
A film I am interested in though. Oh, yes. Russell Crowe, Lucy Lue, the Rizzo,
Cheng Li, and Batista. Is that the gold guy in that friggin trailer? Yeah. That Batista.
Batista. I didn't realize that demand with the Iron Fists directed by the Rizzo.
This looks so cool. Let's see. It's an hour and 35 minutes long. The director's cut of this is
five hours long. What? Apparently, no. That's if you watch the director's cut.
But they may release it. No, the hour 30. But Rizzo said the story itself takes
place over a hundred years. So this is just one piece of the story. So he said it. Comic-Con was here.
I'm in. I'm I'm I'm sold. Also, you have something called vamps. Another vampire flicker.
Yeah, but that's not the reason that I chose it to put on the list for this week. No reviews yet.
Grand Paul vampires. Goodie and Stacey are addicted to the nightlife.
Stupid banter ants go. They like to boogie. They like to disk.
Clubbing, hooking up and always looking for the next thrill.
All the while, keeping a big secret. They happen to be modern day vampires. But even with life times
of dating experience behind them, the duo realizes they still have a lot to learn about love. When
Stacey unexpectedly falls for the son of a vampire hunter, and goodie runs into the man of her dreams from decades earlier,
with their destinies at stake. The girls are faced with a difficult choice. Give up their
eternal youth for a chance at love or continue to live their uncomplicated, fabulously single lives forever.
This is like Romeo and Michelle's high school undead reunion. Dr. Van Helsing will be played by one Wallace
Sean. Oh, dear God. Okay. A Christian, a Christian writer. I don't know if it's that
writer. Play Stacey. Ciceroos will be played by Sigourney Weaver. We'll play Stacey's mom.
And she's going to go on. Yeah, that would be Rachel Hunter. And goodie.
Alicia Silverstone. Oh, God. Oh, yeah. That's why that's on the list because I wanted to put that
in style. Also coming out this Friday, not yet written on Rotten Tomato. Oh, by the way,
Bams not yet rated either. The Bay. Have you seen this trailer? I guess not. This is one of these
found footage films that takes place in the Northeast about a, what do you call those things?
Virus that they think it is and it turns out to be kind of a parasite kind of a deal. It's like
zombies, meat, outbreak, meats, Blair Witch Project, I guess you could say.
So the trailer of the trailer looks creepy. I will not be seeing it. DVD and Blu-ray new releases
this week in your local wherever you get movies from. A film that Chad will not see,
starring Will Ferro and Zach Gallifin at this called campaign. You got that right. Don saw it
said it had moments, but not that great. The criterion collection for this week releases Rose
Mary's baby. I am intrigued by the criterion collection here. Never been a fan of that movie.
Because they do such weird, oh Julie, Julie likes Julie's listing too. Hi, Julie. She says nice
to know at least she's getting work. Rose for people that talk out of the corner of their mouth,
they're very, very difficult to come by. But criterion, they always pick these weird,
strange, foreign film zombies ever heard of. But for them to pick a fairly mainstream film for
a change is kind of nice. Well, how many does Michael Bay have in the criterion collection now?
The rock, Armageddon, they did not do bad boys. I guess that's it. I don't know why they did Pearl Harbor.
Safety not guaranteed. This is the this is the movie. You're very welcome.
Oh, I was wondering how long that was going to take him.
Safety not guaranteed. This is a story about the guy who claims that he's traveled through time
and he's going to do it again. And this girl's a reporter and she wants to do a report on him.
And then she thinks he really is being followed. Looks like a cute little film. I like to check
that one out. Fans of Metal Lockelips season four will be out this coming Tuesday.
I thought safety not guaranteed was the one about the the time traveler that
was yeah, what was it? Like an impending nuclear apocalypse. I thought that was the one that's
deep girl is for the friend for the end of the world. Okay, okay. That we talked about on this show
last time. I know you were here because we did the show. I was here with you.
Uh, Christmas story too. Terrible.
Moving on. I actually may rent this just to see how bad this is. Like why?
This might, I'm going to nominate this as the first film for the side project.
Movies and movies that make you want to punch yourself in the temple. Yeah.
Ruby sparks. Don't just keep going on the TV Tuesday. Keep going. You guys all know the joke
by now. Kung Fu Panda holiday.
Because there's also one for the penguins from Madagascar that comes out this week too.
So there's that. The Brock Lesnar here comes the pain from WWE films. Don't care about that one.
Don't care about the one that's coming out the week after next tune into the show next Saturday
to find out what I'm talking about because probably the best WWE DVD of the year releases November
the 6th. Chad and I were looking at it today on Amazon and I drooled. This probably will have to
be a purchase. That's all I'm saying. Just saying. Oh, and there may be a viewing that Saturday.
I'm just saying to two disc blue ray if that tells you. I mean, I mean, have you seen the cover of it?
No. It's pretty awesome. We'll show you. It's real plain. It's just got the logo on it.
Really? Oh, yeah, looks awesome.
And the complete series of Chuck and love that show. How much is that going to go for?
It wasn't very expensive, I remember. Like $8 if you have Netflix.
A month. Yeah, exactly. But yeah, what are the best series finalities I've ever watched?
Nothing will ever be as good as Battlestar Galactica, but that Chuck finale was really good.
Like I got I got a little bit of a man, man choked up moments at the end of that because they really
excuse me. They handled that well.
I'm about to get choked up again. No, I just
It's the diet mountain dude. I'm not belching.
Let's do a little bit of tech corner.
This week Apple announces the shipping of the iPad Mini. Two weeks ago, they sold their 100
millionth iPad. God almighty. If you are looking for a version of the iPad Mini that
doesn't have a cellular chip in it, you can have that on November the second, which is in 13 days.
But if you want one with a cellular chip in it, you're going to have to wait a couple of extra weeks.
Don says safety not guarantee was not very good.
The average price for the iPad Mini goes from $3.29 to $6.59. I'd rather have an iPad.
I'm going to be honest. I'd rather have an iPad.
You're going to drop that kind of change on it than you are.
Right?
Found a little bit of geek news this week and the new Superman, so Clark is going to quit the daily planet.
What?
And he's going to work for their version of the Huffington Post.
He's apparently had enough of the daily planet and their shenanigans.
Can we stop just whizzing all over my childhood?
No, no. So you may as well not even ask.
They're just going to keep screwing things up.
Windows 8 releases yesterday?
Didn't the Windows tablet get released?
I believe so.
I mean, I've seen the prices on a lot of these Windows 8 packages not very expensive.
But the Surface tablet, didn't it? Like $6.49 or something?
Something like that.
I mean, it's comparable to the iPad.
Plus, they finally released that smart glass app for Xbox where you basically turn your
handheld device into a second screen.
I see what you did there calling it smart glass.
I didn't call it that.
They call it that.
I'm just saying.
I don't know.
Microsoft's going all in, huh?
I think they got something going on.
Well, it's the way it's going.
And the app itself will be available on iOS platforms.
Yeah.
Totally.
My thing is with the Windows 8, I'm still too committed to all the apps I have on my iPhone.
I put too much money into it.
Yeah.
And G4 has officially announced that
Attack of the Show at XPlay will be gone before January 1st,
because as we know, G4 is going away.
Because we need another men's style channel on cable.
And both Attack of the Show and XPlay lost their teeth this year anyway.
I mean, with Cessler Dawn.
Cessler walked away from XPlay and
Anna Pereira walked away from Attack of the Show about a year after Olivia Munn did.
So yeah, no one really saw point to continuing this thing.
So, let's go to the list.
There will be points of contention.
Oh, I'm sure.
We end each show with a list.
Chad has the list this week.
Explain to the people your list, sir.
Something that you and I have always been very, very fond of.
And this day still am.
Yeah.
And something that my father always kind of gets a big kick out of
is the, you know, we've grown up in this digital age.
We've grown up in the, in the, in the video game generation for many, many years.
Now it's, it's been such a big thing for us ever since we were, you know, we lads.
We still play them to this day.
But every now and then you want to get a little nostalgic and bust out of board game.
And there are some great ones out there.
There are some bad ones.
There are.
And I was kind of torn on this list.
There are some that I wanted to put on here,
but they're really probably aren't considered board games per se.
They're more card-based.
And one of them in particular, I really wanted to put on this list,
but I know he can't stand it.
It's your list, sir.
Yeah, but again, it really didn't count as a board game.
I'm not saying I'm not going to throw anything at you, but it's your list.
It technically it is.
I would give you.
You would think so?
I would give you that.
Well, I may as well replace some of these on my list right now,
but I really can't do that, but I'll amend it later.
But for the time being, this is what I came up with.
Number 10 was mouse trap.
Because it was always so much fun to put that thing in.
Point of contention.
Why?
It took too long to set up.
To me, that's what made it interesting.
No, it didn't.
I was like, no.
So let me bring out a mouse trap, and I'm like,
I'm not going to play this game for like an hour.
But I love things with gadgets in it,
and I just love the whole Rube Goldberg device type thing,
that that thing was all based around.
Number nine is something I read just fairly recently got exposed to,
and it was only because I played a video game of it first.
And I know how much you love.
Sorry.
Oh, sorry.
But my dad actually has the board game to sorry sliders.
Not the same.
And I know it's not the same.
That's why it's called sorry sliders.
But it's like taking sorry pieces and then just playing shuffleboard with them.
And it's all that is.
But it's it's right up my dad's alley because he's a real cut throw player.
He'll drive you insane trying to play in with anything.
But I was surprised at how much I like that game,
and how the board can constantly change.
Like you can just flip a couple of tiles over on the board.
And it's a completely different game.
The way it scored, the way it's played.
Everything about it just changes.
Would you just flip over a couple of the pieces?
I thought it was really neat the way it's configured.
Number eight, off-fellow.
What?
A minute to learn a lifetime.
Yes, sir.
You don't remember this thing?
It was not a fan.
A green playing field and you had
the pieces were black on one side and white on the other.
And you just you might have heard some people refer to it as reverse eye.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
That's all that's okay, yeah.
So I got that for birthday present like when I was 11.
And just fell in love with the thing.
And I wish I knew where it was.
I wouldn't mind having that game again.
Yeah, because it's a real quick game to play.
And like they say, it's really easy to learn,
but you'll take the rest of your life trying to figure out
how the all the ins announced of it.
Number seven, a lot and a lot of these are so based around
the stuff that my dad and I play together.
Stratigo out.
Not a big fan.
I loved Stratigo and he would always drive me crazy
because he would always I would always hit the bombs.
And I would he would always take out my spy, you know,
you know, it just make me powerless.
But you know, just I don't know something about play.
I can only play it with him.
You know, and I've got like a Lord of the Rings
Stratigo, a Star Wars Stratigo.
But I can't find anybody to play it with.
Yes, I just got a sits there.
Number six, life.
Only if I'm in the mood because that game takes a while.
I'm not a fan of games that take a while.
But I mean, if you're there's no football on the Sunday afternoon
and it's raining outside and you don't feel like firing up the TV.
This is a really good way to spend an afternoon.
I like the game.
I'm just like spinning the wheel every day.
I have a family version.
Oh, well, I've got a Star Wars version of that.
It's called the Jedi's Pad.
I own it.
Roddy.
Number five, like dare anybody to
give me a contingent on this is battleship.
I'm not as much as fan of a battleship as I used to be.
When I was a kid, I loved battleship.
Nowadays,
electronic battleship more so.
Because you didn't have to work that hard.
It just, I can take it a little bit.
Although that's just like the song just said.
Although that got awful movie,
really kind of put a taint on it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Number four, I know that you're not a real big fan of this game,
but I love Monopoly.
Yeah.
Love Monopoly.
Again, if it takes longer than an hour to play.
You have to play the quick version,
where you disperse everything,
like you can do it that way.
You can shuffle the cards and hand out properties.
I love pretty much any version.
I mean, I know I may try to make this about more games.
Not a fan.
I've got so many digital versions of this game.
I think there's some cool versions of Monopoly.
Like, you got me the Batman version of Monopoly.
I think I've got the Looney Tunes version.
Which, I mean, I'm cool collecting those.
But don't never get played.
I just not a fan.
Like, I recently saw Spider-Man version.
I wouldn't mind having them in Nintendo version.
That would be a trip.
Now they make it with like a debit card.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
I want the bond version of that too.
Yeah, that's another one version.
Number three,
you and I have played so many versions of this game.
I know where you're going.
And they're all so great.
We were going to play it actually earlier today,
but we went with something else kind of similar.
It was trivial pursuit.
See, that's a game that can take longer than an hour to play that I'm cool with.
Because it moves.
It's sticking moves, sticking moves, sticking moves.
Yeah.
Well, but not a lot of strategy to it.
Answer questions.
It's sticking move for you,
because you get the deadgum control of the puck
and that's almost forever before you relinquish it.
Don't hate.
Congratulations.
That's why you like it so much.
Don't hate.
One good thing Canada did for us.
Number two, another game that
Rob and I have played several different versions of it.
We love every version that we've ever played.
Is seen it.
See, it's a good game.
It's been a lot of fun.
How many different versions have seen it?
Do you think you have like six or seven or seven probably?
And there's there's ones that I don't have.
Like I don't have the Simpsons version.
I don't have the Star Trek version.
I don't know if I think I've got the I think I've got the 80s version.
I know I've got that one.
I know I've got the bond version.
Oh man, I didn't realize there was a bond version.
I didn't know where that was.
But for me, number one always has been always will be.
Clue, I love it.
It takes too long to play.
I just know how no one is in.
The fact that the game is there are subtle little nuances about
that make it unique every stinking time you play.
Monopoly tends to be a little formulaic.
A lot of these games do.
But Clue, you never know what's going to happen.
As you started your list,
I wrote down nine off the top of my head.
You hit one of them.
Bring it on.
I mean, I was like.
That's the only one that I mean,
and these aren't necessarily my favorites,
but these are ones that I love.
Yeah.
Sorry was the only one you hit.
And it wasn't even sorry.
It was sorry.
Slipershot.
But the original version, sorry, I love.
Hearts, which is a combination of a board game and a card game.
Yopsy.
I'm counting that.
Candyland.
Oh yeah.
Never got it to even though Adam Sandler's doing a movie of it.
Shoots and ladders.
I love Shoots.
Never got to do it.
Always great.
Concentration.
Yeah.
You're playing it.
A game.
I don't know if you guys know it.
Oh, Don's taken off.
Good to see you, sir.
Thanks for coming by.
Pente.
Does anybody know what this is?
No.
Pente.
You get colored stones.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
And you have to either get five in a row.
Or you have to capture five pairs of your opponent stones
by putting two on the outside of two of theirs.
Yes.
I remember that really well.
Trouble.
Buh-buh.
Chess.
Never played it.
Love Chess.
Don't know how.
And there's another one.
I can't remember the name of it.
I don't want to say it's called perfection.
Where you push the board down and you turn the time.
Yes.
You try to put all the pieces in before it pops up.
Before it pops up.
Perfection.
They had superfection.
I like that.
It was good.
That's a good list, though, sir.
Well, I was going to put Uno on there.
But I was trying to avoid the whole card game thing.
But of course,
there's probably my favorite game of all time
to play at a table is Pitt.
And he hates it.
I've never heard of it.
Oh, my God.
I would rather be beaten to death with a blunt object.
You are basically one round of Pitt.
You are basically trading commodities, stocks.
And you put a bell in the middle of the table.
So you've got the bull and the bear market,
you know, our wild cards.
You've got wheat, corn, oats, barley,
rye, that kind of thing.
You're basically making beer with this stuff.
So is this Oregon trail?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
But like, you're trying to get a hand of like nine of a kind,
basically.
So everybody's going, two, two, two, three, two.
I mean, they're just constantly trying to bluff
getting rid of your crap to get somebody else's goods.
Yeah.
So you can get 9 or 10.
Everybody's yelling at one time.
It is, it is a hot, there's a bear card and a bull card.
And if you have either one of those, you get extra,
I've heard some of the funniest exploits come out
of my cousin, Mikey's mouth playing this game.
When he gets stuck with the bearer of the bull, you hear ding?
God, send it, get it, get it, get it.
He turns into Yosemite Sam at the end of the day.
It is so funny.
Sounds like a terrible game.
They would break, they would, they would,
somebody would walk in with the boxes as pit on it.
And I'd be like, you know what?
Even if my car's not here, I've got to go.
Yeah.
I don't know.
It just, it just absolutely beats me to a blimmie.
I will, you got to be there for a family gathering of, of mine
that just goes down.
No, you don't.
You really do.
At least, I would rather play Scategorius instead.
Scategorius goods, screw pulls good.
Yeah.
Just avoid loaded questions like the bull.
I will never play that game again as long as I live.
Oh, God.
