Keep it going.
Tear it.
Feel it.
Send it.
Yes.
Un nóngideleot's
Beats!
Wait!
How you!?
I know what you are then.
Yes, I have been waiting for you.
Not really, not really.
Step
Go to school.
It is 703 on the East Coast.
It is 403 on the West Coast.
It is the second of November in the year of our Lord 2014.
It is season 5 episode 14, numerically, number 273.
The clubhouse is live and on the air from the studio for the first time in like 7 weeks.
We welcome each and every one of you no matter how you listen, whether you're live right
now on you stream, whether you listen on our archive, or whether you subscribe on iTunes,
we don't care how you listen, we're just glad you should do.
My name is Robin, oh, it feels so good to be in this chair again.
No disrespect to anybody that we've been with in the last few weeks, but sometimes
it just got to come home.
Whether it's for just a week or not, let's go around the room, first of all joining me
to my left, is a man that's seriously for a while in the air cut, but it looks like
it's starting to blend in a little bit better now, he is chat, yes, I'm finally growing
into the air again.
Well, it got a little, yeah, who's serious there for like a few minutes.
It gets kind of wierry, but it's starting to blend again in a brush a little before I
mean.
But I was like, no, there's one person in this conversation that still has a
hair line, and it ain't me.
So I can't say there's not a little bit of jealousy there, but there is that also joining
us tonight is the official fact checker of this show, and a man who's a little jittery
for what's going to happen here in about a hour and a half.
You may know him as fond on go, he is the official fact checker of this show, but his
moment even don't for him and I'm going to call him, don't for the welcome back sir.
You are a great friend that subscribed to iTunes and that recent iTunes exclusive we did
for the Nicole Kidman movie.
There's just something coming back to mind about being in this studio here, it's been
a long time.
No, it's just something familiar, it's just, it's good to be back in this studio again.
We want to thank Kelly Kitchens for having us out for Dallas video fest 27 incredible
time.
We want to thank the people responsible at the undisclosed location for hosting Hellman
a sell last week, we want to thank everybody for being patient with us, we had to take
a couple of weeks off for some personal things to be taken care of, but everything's back
to abnormal now.
It's good to be back in this chair for a few weeks, as I know gentlemen, you feel the same
thing about the chairs you are currently sitting in on those chairs are probably not as
comfortable as my chair, but I have all the screens.
So there's a reason for that.
Let us start as we often do with corrections short show last week, so there wasn't a lot
out there.
I want to thank everybody that came and hung out with us for how long to sell last weekend.
We're going to talk more probably, and that is much about the paper views we did last
week.
We'll talk a little bit about that in wrestling talk.
Hope you enjoyed the paper view, and if you don't have the network, we're going to
talk a little bit later in wrestling talk.
Now might be a good time, but we'll talk about that here in just a little while.
We start with NASCAR.
There are only two races left after tonight.
Of course, it is Texas weekend part two, the AAA Texas 500 currently going on at Texas
Motor Speedway.
Right now we're under yellow green checker or green, I'm sorry, green white checker.
And after tonight you're only only got one more race, and we limit the field to four.
And I'm telling you, a lot of great feedback from people that have been watching the
sport about how the the chase has been going.
People have been very, very, very impressed with the way that this thing is gone.
And you really can't debate it because it seems to be working.
You know what I mean?
Let me get you the chase standings here.
I can get this thing done right currently you have eight drivers left in the chase.
They are Joey Logano Kevin Harvik Ryan newman, Denny Hamlin Matt Kenseth Carl Edwards
Jeff Gordon and Chad's favorite driver, Brad Khezelowski.
Currently leading the race right now, that would be one Jeff Gordon.
Naturally.
So if he ends up winning this race, he's guaranteed himself a spot in the championship
round, which will be at home, stead in two weeks.
I like the way they're doing this and Gordon looks like he's losing ground.
Oh, he's been running to the wall.
So Gordon, not going to win this race.
As we are watching it live on our brand new wireless AT&T uverse box here in the studio.
So if they're lovely and talented, Mrs. Irvine fires up their microwave, we don't lose
what we're watching.
So people for the chase, Brad Khezelowski right now, your highest right driver in second
Jimmy Johnson and first Kyle Bush in third, Harvik in fourth, who is also in the chase,
Mick Murray fifth, Dale Learnhard Jr. who lost out in the last round six.
Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin, both in the chase at seven and eight, Kyle Larson, Tony Stewart
who you like to call.
Smoke.
Joey Logano also in the chase in 11, Greg Biffle 12, Vickers 13, Almonddinger 14, Martin
Trux Jr. 15.
With the loss that giant hello newman in 19th place right now, we don't know where Jeff
Gordon has fallen back to, this could be detrimental to him in the chase.
Only one more race after today, it is next Sunday at 3 o'clock Eastern live on your
espn, from the Phoenix International Raceway, oddly enough in Phoenix, Arizona.
Be quick in loans, race for heroes 500, and that's it, brother, because I love the way
they're doing this because whoever gets to the chase after next week.
It's not a point thing, we reset the points.
So highest finisher of those, the last four cars in the race wins the chase.
So it's not where these.
You can finish 34th and still win the chase.
It's still competitive down the last week, good.
Still not a perfect system far from it, but it's closer than college football and I'll
take it.
Yeah, but you like college football a lot more than you like.
Yeah, but I don't like the college football system.
That's my thing with college football.
We're closer now with the playoff, which we're going to talk about more when we get into
college football talk.
It's still an imperfect system, but it's closer.
And sometimes down the road, I mean, we have more time, maybe I'll give you my solution
for it.
We've done it on the show before, but it was many, many years ago.
And if it happens, I will be calling a lawyer, that's all I'm saying.
Do you have it written down somewhere?
Are you going to, it's been recorded on this show?
Yeah, it's something, it's on our types.
And I believe I did a blog on it once somewhere.
I don't know.
You are listening to the clubhouse podcast.
We are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment.
Let's see if we can remember how to do this thing and do it in the right order and do
a little sports.
I'm not sports.
Talk, we just did sports talk.
Let's go to entertainment, do a little TV talk.
Just hearing from friend of the show Steven Zimmerman, who's being very complimented
to the race currently going on at Texas Motor Speedway.
And I'll tell you what, just from a little bit, I've been able to watch because I'm
in a little and down DVR all day.
I'll cut up on fourth and loud now.
What's that?
The kiss arena football, which now has been canceled by AMC, but apparently I read
today they're already filming season two, so they're hoping they can find another home
for the show.
I'm sure they can.
Honestly, despite the network on Wednesday nights, we're going to talk about that a
little bit.
Wow.
That is on the agenda as well, sir.
That clicks really starting to get more into the original programming game, and in
doing so has green lit a richy rich series.
Oh, I liked the animated series in the 80s, but it was a different time.
Yeah, but is this going to be animated?
They haven't said because all I can think of is the Macauley Colby.
Yeah, that's all I can envision.
But they have some good stuff, house cards and oranges and new black.
I've seen all those episodes.
They got some good stuff on there.
They've got some more stuff now, too.
Yeah.
Remember, they also had that deal with Steven van Zan, where he played the mafia hitman that
goes on the run.
Okay.
Yeah, I didn't get that.
That was our first one.
Yeah.
Hamlot Grove was like right after.
Hamlot Grove was in that as well.
But I think of rich rich, I always think about, remember, in the animated series, he
had that inflatable mansion?
Yes.
And I always thought, how the heck does that work?
The ultimate bounce house.
And he had the dog that had the dollar sign around his neck, too.
It was good for it's time.
I don't think if I go back and watch it now, I don't know that it holds up.
Yeah.
I don't think.
I'm not sure.
I'm not sure.
Yeah.
I'm not so sure that I did hold up back then, like Casper and Windy would
hold up today either.
And that's from the same, and that movie was the same one.
Casper would hold it in Christine or Reaching.
It was an awful, but it's nothing I would watch over and over again, either.
It's a fair point.
Because again, Hollywood is running out of ideas.
Jerry Brookheimer is working with Paramount for developing American Jigalo as a television
series.
Isn't there already one in Showtime at a reality show called Jigalo's?
Because they showed all the time on the soup.
There was.
I think it's still out there.
I think I saw it recently on the soup.
Looks like Jimmy Johnson wins the race, not that Jimmy Johnson at TMS.
So we'll have more results for you later.
I'm going to go back to our other.
I can change channels in the studio now.
No one man should have that much control.
But I just don't know, do we need American Jigalo as a television series?
No.
No, but the housewives and all the other stuff that will fit perfectly.
But it's not a reality show.
But housewives is not an ABC.
They got expert housewives, but we were talking about it.
That's what I did, then he got this.
I have a scan on everything.
But they need some replace it.
That's my be it.
For scandal.
They are.
I don't know that ABC would pick it up.
I would see this as more.
Is it going to be broadcast or is it going to be cable?
It just says it's a television series.
I'm assuming broadcast.
The only way this thing would work is it was on.
If it was on one of the premium networks.
This would have to be something on stars or show time or HBO.
It would have to be.
Still not watching.
No.
But if anyone was going to take it even remotely seriously.
So an interesting story I read this past week from your particular arena.
Even though you haven't caught up in the last couple of seasons.
First of all, we want to talk about American horror story, free show.
Neil Patrick Harris, who originally wanted to be on the first season, but couldn't get in.
He's going to do a guest spot on this current season.
What was that?
Well, actually.
Okay.
Because his life mate is out on the show.
Really?
Yeah.
So they're going to be out together.
They did their family Halloween picture where Neil Patrick Harris was the ridler.
And his life mate was the Joker and the two little kids were Batman and Catwoman
Tuesday.
But he'll be on that show and an interesting interview with the creator of the show.
He says if you go back and watch the whole thing.
All threes have been three or four seasons.
Four is the fourth one.
This is the fourth one.
They're all connected.
Oh, yeah.
And he says there's little Easter eggs in each one that shows you how every one of the shows is connected.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So I thought that was kind of neat.
Even though they take place in different points in history.
But it's kind of cool.
Congratulations to Kaylee Kuhoko from the big bang theory and formerly of 188 rules to date
My teenage daughter.
She has gotten her Hollywood star on the walk of fame.
I like what she did with it too.
Somebody had 20 grand.
I'm sorry.
What did she do?
She wanted the aster if there was any provisos that she had.
And she said, could you please make sure it's as close to John Ridders as humanly.
Nice.
And they are also newly wedged.
So congrats to her for joining the institution.
Not digging the hair though.
The short hair is not working.
Yeah.
It does not work for sure.
Short hair works for some girls.
But it just does not work.
And I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Not into that show.
My wife absolutely adores that show.
And my wife has said publicly if she wasn't married to me, then she probably wouldn't get half the references on that show.
But I was just like,
Hmm.
I guess maybe because it's a lot of the stuff that I got made fun of as a kid for.
I just don't really want to relive that maybe.
I don't know.
But if there's that.
We've got television cancellations and extensions news.
CBS speaking of the big bank theories network.
Guys, given full season orders to NCIS New Orleans.
That's one show.
Not to stalker, Madam Secretary and Scorpion.
Scorpion apparently performing very, very well for them.
I just getting word from Steven Zimmerman.
Huge fight and brawl in the TMS pit lane.
He's watching on TV.
Brad keselowski got jaw jacked by Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvey.
Wow.
He's going on there and pit row.
But Scorpion apparently is the their best performer of the new season.
And I've been meaning to catch at least one episode of that.
Because I like quite a few people invite you.
I do, but the storyline does nothing for me.
I do kind of like stalker.
I've been watching that one.
Do you enjoy that one?
It's not bad.
It's not criminal minds, but it's not too bad.
They have also given a pilot to a series based on the movie limitless.
I believe that was Bradley Cooper or was it him or Liam Neeson.
Where he takes the drug and he knows everything.
That's Bradley Cooper.
Okay.
I think that was what limitless was.
Don's going to look at a forest right now.
On his iPhone 6.
I have my iPhone 6 plus.
We'll talk about these a little bit in tech talk.
Now that I finally got it.
So.
Yeah.
Bradley Cooper on that.
Bradley Cooper.
Okay.
With the help of mysterious pill that enables a user to access 100% of his brain abilities.
Didn't just have a movie on that with.
Lucy.
Yeah.
Lucy was more of a that was forced into her.
We're in this.
He has to take it repeatedly.
Or he loses the ability.
Now it's from 2011.
Bad news for some NBC fans and one of them being my wife.
Bad judge has been canceled by NBC, but they're going to kind of let them burn off the rest of the episodes as well as the show A to Z.
That jet was mildly interested in.
I think maybe.
You know, isn't that kind of the same bit as Brooklyn love story that they're doing on ABC?
Well, and I think they got to it first.
And it seemed like there's another show on NBC that's fairly similar to it on a different night.
They they like kind of like doubt on the same broth.
I mean, that's never a good idea.
Also speaking of things and programming.
It is November sweeps.
However, don't expect a lot out of your normal shows on Tuesday night because it is election day.
Oh, dear Lord.
So you're going to have a lot of election coverage going on.
I still have something set on my DVR.
I don't know if they'll actually record or not.
So like one of the ads just popped up in our stream on you stream.
Wendy Davis's campaign ad.
Stop.
TNT has given a pilot to a show called Agent X.
And my first thought was, oh, another Marvel show.
No.
No such luck.
First of all, Sharon Stone.
She is playing the first female vice president.
And one of her delegation is apparently a super secret agent guy who will be played by Jeff Heffner.
And the guy he reports to will be played by Gerald McRainey.
So a major dad slash half of Simon and Simon is back.
Oh, she's going to do the female.
Like kind of what Gina Davis did.
I don't know.
She was actually the president.
She was the president.
You might be thinking of the TV.
I think that madam secretary thing.
No, no.
I was thinking of the presidential role.
Which I have heard from which I have heard good things about.
I know people that are watching that madam secretary that are quite enjoying it.
Even though I hear she's an absolutely pill to work with.
Or at least she was.
Maybe she's finally changed her ways a little bit.
MTV, as we talked about a couple of months ago,
they're going to be doing a 10 episode series based on the stream films.
That now has been given a premier date of October of next year.
We went better on MTV on MTV.
It's going to be a 10 episode series.
They're going to have something that's on MTV.
That doesn't concern 16 year old girls.
Or is not a music video.
That is correct.
But yes.
So that's going to happen.
I didn't see the last screen movie.
I don't think I've seen one since three.
I don't know if I saw four or not.
Was it four the last one or five?
I was four.
Yeah.
Because the A look was in like in the shape of that.
Okay.
Four.
I don't know if it's all three.
I might have seen three.
I thought we saw three together.
Did we?
Four, 2011.
Screen four.
Okay.
I wasn't awful.
Let it go.
Craig Ferguson's last week on the late late show starts two weeks from tomorrow.
And just as we talked about recently, I don't know if we talked about on the show
or not.
I thought we did.
How the food fighters did an entire week of shows as they were the house band.
By the way, watch finally watch the first episode of Sonic Highways.
That's the HBO series they did.
Amazing.
Oh, I'm sure.
The first episode is all about Chicago.
And the Chicago punk scene.
And the Chicago blues scene.
It is absolutely phenomenal.
It sounds great.
I heard about the one about New Orleans.
Don't talk to me about this.
I haven't watched it.
I heard that's going to be through the rough.
Oh, I imagine that New Orleans.
And they because they've been recording songs in all these different cities.
That's why it's called Sonic Highways.
The song they recorded in Chicago is ridiculously great.
Is this out?
Sorry.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But if there was something from nothing, or I believe it is amazing.
And they were watching to DC, there was the most, about a week ago.
Yeah, that was the second episode.
And I haven't watched that yet either.
And I still contend that their drummer looks like a very young edge.
But.
Two weeks from tomorrow, Craig Ferguson starts his last week on the late late show.
His house band for his last week of shows on CBS.
Metallica.
Really?
Yes.
Ferguson's going out in style, baby.
That's all I'm saying.
It hurts me every time I think about that.
But isn't he going to CBS?
Has that been determined?
That's he wanted to go.
I think he wanted to follow Coney.
I think that's what got floated out there.
But I don't know if it deals been signed.
But that's for the last of our entire week starting November the 17th.
What on earth is this?
This is one of those string tribute.
This is out.
I puck a Lyptica with playing Metallica on four cellos, which I think is awesome.
Yeah, I would change the story of why I bought this CD.
Oh, I thought this is one of the ones I gave.
No, no.
I bought this.
I got tons.
I was DJing at a bar.
That's bar that I met my lovely wife in.
And there was this guy that could look.
Pleasure.
Metallica.
And what do I do?
I'm DJing.
There's not a whole lot of room.
So I went out and bought this.
Like, you want your Metallica?
Here you go.
It went over very well.
Did it?
Everybody was like, see?
Gonna mess with that dude.
I figured they started flowing things.
Yeah, everybody thought it was hilarious.
Also, Woody Harrelson will be hosting SNL with Kendrick Lamar on November 15th.
As we of course prepare for the Hunger Games,
Mocking J. Part 1, which we will be talking about in movie talk.
Something has happened with that film.
That is going to blow your mind.
Really? That's all I'm saying.
You mean the Part 1 coming up? Part 1.
Yes.
See, something that I learned last week is the art of the package.
Of how I can package something, and we'll talk about it later.
I'm really getting good at that.
Don't we take any 20 years?
But still.
We believe in the Empire on Pins and Needles.
That's right.

Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest,
Which I had lunch with her yesterday.
We had a fabulous time.
It's that girl.
We went to walk around Firewheel for a little while.
And then went by the AT&T store.
And,
You enjoyed.
Got her to go to the first time.
She quite enjoyed the most experience.
And Jules Walmix and she's not here.
She's probably at the house I'm assuming.
Indeed.
Let us get into one of my favorite things to talk about.
Because all is right in the world.
I've got to believe it is, sir.
It is week nine in the NFL.
We are officially halfway through the season.
And I'm very upset about this.
But that's the God football every game counts.
We don't play 162 games.
We pay 16.
It's all I'm saying.
Thursday night New Orleans goes to Carolina and says,
Here's 28 to 10.
Chomp on that.
Earlier today, in my Tampa Bay,
Buck and ears lose a heartbreaker to Cleveland,
22 to 17.
Six of Tampa Bay's losses this year have been by six points or less.
Ouch.
And they're not very good.
That's my thing.
And they're in a tough division this year.
Arizona.
What happened to your Dallas Cowboys today, sir?
You had the lead.
And I'm saying, I don't want to hear people complain.
Oh, with Tony Romo.
Explain to you something.
Brandon Wheaton is a serviceable quarterback.
Brandon Wheaton didn't score 28 points for Arizona.
Arizona score 28 points on your defense.
Yeah.
Offence puts up points defense wins championships.
They just never seem to have an answer for anything.
But about Tony Romo.
There's a reason why Arizona has record they have.
They're there.
They're there.
It's their first.
But six of the 71 start in like 10 years or something.
Yeah.
They're a good team.
Best time they had their records.
Well, when they went to the Super Bowl.
But let's let's talk about the only game that matters today.
Tonight's son life stadium.
As my dolphins pitch their first shot out in what eight years.
As they opened a can on the San Diego Chargers.
37 nine.
And of course, friend of the show, Brad Creole, friend of the show.
Steven Zimmerman and I are going.
What is going on down to Miami today?
Stay in competitive.
Sure we lose ugly games.
But we win ugly games too.
Since a nanny over Jacksonville.
I bet the odds on that were about nine billion to one in Vegas.
33, 23.
The jet's lose again to a very strong Kansas city team.
24 to 10.
The Washington football club who by the way were being protested outside of the stadium in Minnesota
by people wanting them to change the name today.
The Washington football club loses by a field goal.
29, 26.
Philadelphia Eagles over the Houston Texan's 31 to 21 in a tough game.
Where Nick Folls breaks his clavicle.
That's just hard to say and not feel horrible.
The St. Louis Rams 13 to 10 over San Francisco today.
San Francisco, what is going on with that team?
You're in the Super Bowl last year, sir, or year before.
Yeah, it was two years ago because it was Denver.
Yeah, that's a blackout.
We're going on Denver getting relaxed by New England.
43 to 21 right now and Oakland.
Seattle started to play again.
They're up 30 to 17 with about four minutes to go.
The Denver New England game still has almost nine minutes to go.
It was snowing like a themed up there this morning.
So that might have something to do with why that game is going as slowly as it is.
A lot of people getting snow up in the north this weekend.
And I would say something it's chilly here and I'm good with it.
I'm happy with it.
Beautiful day yesterday walking around the girls ain't digging too much, but I'm loving it.
Well, they're just going to have to deal tonight.
Don's beloved Pittsburgh Steelers hope hosting the Division rival Baltimore Ravens.
It's going to be cold up there too, brother.
I know, and we're ready.
And me and Ashley have some kind of pride that we haven't figured it out.
Oh, really? She's the Baltimore fan.
That's why she was going to be slack on the snow.
The friend of ours Ashley from allied integrated marketing.
Some of our best friends in the whole wide world.
And tomorrow night, indie is at the Giants.
Indie after a fairly poor performance last week.
I think they're going to be hungry and the Giants just aren't good.
The turbo.
I mean, let me look.
I need to look in the NFC right now and see what's going on.
Miami.
The Giants are still two games better than Washington though, so there's that.
And I haven't really gotten to watch any football today, but I have been keeping up online.
If you look at the scores in the NFC North, I mean, I've seen North and Steelers.
It's a free for all.
I mean, before this this week started, first and last was like a game and a half apart.
So I mean, it's very competitive now.
And in this game, we'll be big tonight.
Oh, maybe for my computer to catch up to be here.
Next week, the Thursday night game is coming week.
Cleveland, it's Cincinnati.
I'll be watching other things.
Next Sunday, your noon games.
Miami Dolphins will be at the Detroit Lions.
We're indoors, so we're okay.
I still don't know why they didn't go back outside.
When Miami comes to town, if they got to play outside, I'm nervous.
Atlanta will be at Tampa Bay in a division game Dallas at Jacksonville.
That's a noon game, sir.
I'll be in central one o'clock Eastern.
And that will be in London.
Oh God.
The third game in Jolly Old London this year.
Hey, my dolphins won there.
One big.
Kansas City will be at Buffalo San Francisco at New Orleans.
Pittsburgh at the Jets.
So you'll probably win again.
Tennessee will be at Baltimore.
Well, take it.
And your late games Denver at Oakland, that'll be boring.
St. Louis and Arizona, that could go either way.
The Giants are at Seattle.
And Lord knows Seattle's not a guaranteed victory anymore.
No.
Chicago at Green Bay is your night game next week.
That'll be fun to watch.
And where is that game?
In the frozen tundra of the Lambo fee.
And your Monday night game next week.
Oh dear.
Carolina at Philly.
Huh.
It's wrong.
That's a tough day.
That's a tough day.
That's like he want to be shot or stabbed.
That is a tough day.
When Raw's a better option than Monday night football.
Dear God.
I'm not saying it's a better option.
It's just an option.
But there's Gotham.
There's Gotham.
I'm about four episodes behind.
Really?
Well, can I remember do the last two weeks?
I've had stuff going on every week.
Well, but just said you were literally down your DVR.
I thought maybe I'm going on the, I'm trying to get rid of the old stuff first.
Like, you know, fourth and loud's already done.
So I could get that off there.
Sonic Highway.
And I've watched a couple other things today.
So because there's something happening tomorrow.
I thought I was really wanting to ask you about.
But I guess I really can't ask you about it.
No, you cannot.
I'm thought where he is right now.
I'm there on my DVR, but not Galcaton.
You're always into the clubhouse podcast.
Let's get right now into something we haven't done in a very long time.
It's something I like to call POI.
Since we're person of interest, it is a segment we do on this show.
Where we take a person or an entity.
And we debate their greatness or lack there of the pendulum swings back to the chat.
Right across the desk.
Go.
Well, it's, it kind of ties into what we were just discussing with football talk.
I know that it's got to be irritating.
I know that it's got to be irritating more than just me.
I know it's irritating you too, because you yourself bought it up Rob.
Of the lack of coverage on networks.
Oh, boy.
For, for the, for the, for the NFL.
I mean, the ticked off that they've switched all of the Thursday night games to the NFL network.
Because they're not all.
They're not.
They're not.
CBS carries them.
It's CBS in the NFL network.
Yeah.
They carry them.
Yeah.
They were running.
They're like, they're the exclusive home now for the, if you watch a game on a non CBS channel,
then it advertises the NFL.
Oh, does it.
Okay.
Well, that was one of the things I was getting kind of put out.
They're all on CBS too.
That was one of the things.
But it still irritates me that, like, for instance, locally after the cowboy game,
we had some street skating competition come on for the afternoon slide.
I'm like, what?
Why?
No, no, not could get street skating, but that's not why I watch football.
You know, Fox on Sunday afternoon.
It's not to watch skateboard competitions.
It's to watch football there.
Yeah.
The reporting happens all year round.
Any on any given Sunday.
It's like, lives from skinny.
Did he?
You can see this pretty much where it was to.
It was it jerks.
Yeah.
Here's my thing.
And I hate to be old man Rob.
But I'm going to be old man Rob here for a minute.
When I was a kid.
Now, granted, I was on East Coast time.
So it was one o'clock in four o'clock, right?
But both you had, you had NBC and you had.
CBS.
Both of them had a double header every Sunday.
So you were guaranteed four games.
Because Sunday night football wasn't a thing.
The only prime time you had when we were kids was Monday night football.
And that was an institution.
What?
That great power.
To sell.
Don Meredith.
And so you had four games to pick from every week.
And of course, it was regional.
So I always got to see my dolphins.
And when I lived in Tampa, I always got to see my book in years.
And then Fox got involved in the game.
But when Fox got involved with the game, that's when NBC kind of backed out.
But you still had double headers.
And then we went to this.
Well, one network gets the double header one week.
And then the other network gets the double header the next week.
This week neither one of them got the double header.
And that's a crime in Dallas because when a cowboys are playing,
they can't have a compete on the other network.
That's not true.
I thought it was.
True.
It happens every week.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
That happens every week.
My bad.
I thought that didn't happen.
No.
The law state.
There is a law because we talked about this because the cowboys played on Monday night last week.
Since Monday night football is on ESPN.
There's an FCC law that states if your local team is on cable.
And it's not blacked out.
You have to show it on a local channel too.
So while you have the game on ESPN Monday night, it was also on our local ABC affiliate.
That's the way they're used to be because the cowboys were on our CBS affiliate.
They were there.
But since the ESPN has it, they're on the Disney bones, owns both them and ABC.
So the local ABC affiliate.
Well, I thought there was no double header today.
No, no, no, no, no.
And then every week you wouldn't have a double header.
Unless they're playing in prime time.
And you have double headers every week.
But this week neither network had one.
And it's horrible.
And I was just like, really, this is what we're doing.
And when I looked at my program, I'm like, you've got to be absolutely kidding me.
And I don't understand what we're doing here.
I also don't understand what's going on in the TV at our studio right now.
They're doing an entire commercial with the BSPN in Star Wars with Michelle Beatle.
Who's about to have a lightsaber battle with Vader.
She just wrote up the elevator with Chewbacca.
Oh, you know, they've all Disney's got it all now.
Exactly.
I know I figured as much.
But I'm kind of like foaming at the mouth over here.
In Max Keller.
I wish we had the captions.
Oh, well, Chamberlain is Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Really?
That's not well, Chamberlain.
Let's cream a dojo bar.
I'm sorry.
I can only imagine the dialogue on this thing.
You kind of signaled it over to me because R2 was doing a hologram projection.
And on all I know is that there was something helping sure our only hope.
Wheels.
Gone.
Anyway.
Back to where we were.
Football.
Football.
Okay.
I just don't understand why we have to.
We have to do it this way.
If they broke, don't fix it.
Oh, that's right because this is the what they're doing is the sports nation.
Gears and and and cheers for October.
And they did a Star Wars thing.
Wow.
But I just why do we have to change the way it's programmed.
That's about that's my being.
I was wrong with two double hand.
And I don't know if it's because of the Sunday ticket.
But if you're not a direct TV subscriber, you can't get it anyway.
And I've always said that the NFL was mixing out on a huge money opportunity.
Because I'm not going to pay.
300 bucks a year for the Sunday ticket.
If I just want to watch my dolphins.
Right.
But if you're the NFL, and that kind of, we're going to spin this into a different thing.
But it's the same thing.
Why wouldn't you go, okay, if you want the full NFL Sunday ticket.
It's going to cost 300 bucks a year.
However, Rob.
We know you're a dolphins fan.
Pay us 100 bucks a year and you'll get every dolphin game.
Oh, but wait a minute.
I'm also a bucks fan too.
Okay.
Pay us another 50 bucks and you'll have both of them.
Every Sunday.
Hmm.
That is a license to print a money serve.
Yeah.
Now, and what do they lose their deal?
Thought it was this year.
I'm about to say that they get it.
They're not building any year.
They better get some some gears turning.
And you know what?
If they do that, I'm not even going to sue because I'm going to be happy.
So NFL, listen up.
That's how you do this.
You'll be amazed on how much more money you will make.
And this is killing me here.
It's like, it's like a non-stop star wars episode.
And you guys see what they're doing.
So how long we need it?
This probably real cheap for them to get the royalties.
Speaking of cheap and royalties.
We'll need to talk about that and movie talk to you.
Okay.
Oh boy.
Anything else you want to add on this?
I want more of a ball.
Yeah.
It's just this is irritating to me.
Yeah, man.
So let's talk more football than gentlemen.
But ball sees a dead guy.
But I want to OD on it.
Then let's talk.
Let's talk some footballs.
We get in the college.
Louisville.
Louisville.
You couldn't get the job done for me.
Thursday night, they go up 21 to nothing on Florida State in the first half.
Yeah.
Had them up against the ropes.
And your final Florida State 4231.
You know what?
Congratulations, Florida State fans.
You're not having a stellar year.
But you're playing well enough.
But you know what?
My gators one yesterday.
What about the cocktail party yesterday?
The world's largest cocktail party in Jacksonville, Florida.
As Florida beats Georgia 38 to 20.
Oh, and did I mention Georgia's ranked 11.
Wow.
We will take that win, sir.
Got a text from Charlotte's boyfriend Cody.
Congratulations on the win.
I said, thank you.
He said, does this save much champs job?
And I said, well, I don't know that it saves it.
But it does give him a stay of execution.
He has to win out to save his job.
And I hate to say that.
But this love affair he's got with Jeff Driscoll has to stop.
Get somebody else in there.
Because I don't really believe that Driscoll's the answer.
Duke barely escapes Pittsburgh in double overtime.
Number 24, 51, 48 over an unranked team.
Oklahoma taking Iowa State to the Woodshed 59 to 14.
East Carolina, number 23 upset by Temple 20 to 10.
Nebraska, number 15, 35, 14 over Purdue.
TCU after hanging almost 90 last weekend.
Ridiculous.
Barely escapes number 20 West Virginia, number 7 wins by a point 31 to 30.
However, bailer at their homecoming yesterday.
Kansas.
Thanks for stopping by.
Here's 60 to 14 for you.
Auburn Ole Miss, which was the game everybody was watching because they are three and four
going into yesterday.
By the way, your first playoff numbers were up.
Three of the four teams by the way.
SEC teams.
I want you one game yesterday.
I want you Air Force versus Army.
Auburn beats Miss Ole Miss 35 to 31.
So we have to see that those rankings come out on Tuesdays.
And they do it in prime time on ESPN.
So let's see that works.
Arkansas loses the number one Mississippi State 17 to 10.
So right now you're rankings going into this weekend.
Mississippi State Florida State Auburn Ole Miss would have been your top four.
If the playoff started yet, uh, sprite it.
So who won between?
I mean, if you have it in front of you.
Who?
Uh, between, uh, Navy and Notre Dame.
Um, I do.
We'll talk about it here in just a moment.
Okay.
Stanford gets shown the door by Oregon 45 to 16.
Kansas State over Oklahoma State 48 14.
Ohio State wins big against the Alinaa 55 to 14.
Notre Dame number 10 beats Navy by 10.
49 to 39.
Notre Dame not not a loss that you could like not hang your head on.
Notre Dame is a very good team.
Oh, they're playing a lot.
They've got it.
It's got a freshman that likes to take selfies at, uh,
at, uh, Nick's games with adult film stars.
He's 19.
She's 44.
But I'm just saying.
UCLA number 22 beats number 12 Arizona and a big upset 17 to 7.
And Arizona State number 14 over number 17 Utah 19 to 16 boys.
We're about a month away.
So make sure, remember, we got to do our picks.
Coming up for bowl games.
I'll do.
I'll do all the homework.
You guys just have to pick the winners.
Okay.
Oh, I thought last year was supposed to pick the losers.
And that's why I won.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
We are not living in bizarre world.
I got cooperative last year.
I won last year.
Didn't know, or did I tie for win?
I tied to, I don't know.
We tied.
Didn't win.
That was, we tied.
That was the first time I ever won.
So I was feeling good about my stuff.
Quick fact check.
Sure.
I was supposed to be one network getting one game.
And the other network getting two double headers.
And each network gets eight double headers during the season guaranteed.
Next year.
No, that was current.
That's the current as per what could be.
No, it didn't happen today.
I know.
Other 17 weeks though.
So yeah.
But there's been a week every week.
There's still supposed to be a double header.
Before we get out of college football.
Did you see A&M's helmets yesterday?
No.
Look them up.
Okay.
They did throw back helmets that have leather straps on them.
Looking like the old style 30s football helmets.
But they were still helmets.
Very cool.
Okay.
We need for Chad to look it up.
Just look up.
No, Texas A&M throw back helmets.
2014.
And you can play along at home as well.
Go to your computer.
Go, because you know, Google's a thing.
This is my high school fights on even though it's Florida states.
Um.
Do you find it yet?
Not yet.
So in the meantime, I will sing the right version of this song.
C-O-C-O-N-U-T.
C-R-E-E-K.
Coconut Creek.
Coconut Creek.
Coconut Creek.
Okay.
You're welcome internet.
That was painful.
That's what we did.
Oh, wow.
Oh, those not good.
Look at that.
That's impressive.
Those are not impressive.
They play in those yesterday.
Have you seen him yet, Don?
I'm looking right now.
That's pretty tight.
Oh, God.
The cleats, too.
Yeah.
Is that not impressive?
Wow.
God.
Lee.
All right, General, let's move on and do a little bit of music talk.
And Chad, I know you're going to be very upset about this.
But Nicki Minaj is new album The Pink Print has been pushed back to December 15th.
Damn it.
Oh, that is a cool album.
Is that a cool album?
Yeah.
Very impressive.
I'm crushed.
And Nicki Minaj, do album push back.
So, you know, Minaj fans.
You're just going to have to listen to the 19 different versions of her last album.
She put out.
Oh, Lord.
I'm going to show you now.
The Grammys also going to be doing a Christmas show.
This year called a very Grammy Christmas.
Huh.
Starring the Ferrell Williams.
Maroon five in the Ariana Grande.
Still don't get the bit.
Well, they just bring Julian from the WWE back.
Like she did that, you know, Christmas eye to an album.
She'd probably do a better job than that's us people on her.
It's very possible.
Also.
Very confused.
No, no, no, no, no.
Why would, why would stick?
Why have the Grammys doing a Christmas tree?
Because they don't have enough money, I guess.
Taylor Swift is going to be headlining New Year's Rock and Eve this year.
When did we have a headliner for New Year's Rock and Eve?
I didn't think we did.
She's headlining or they just announced it.
No, it was announced.
She is headlining it.
Oh, God.
Does that mean she plays like right after midnight or right before midnight?
She calls her shots.
Because I'm going to say something.
The local coverage here is getting worse every year.
I'm watching that again.
I am not watching it.
What did he and why?
You know, they broadcast it all over the state.
I saw an ad for it.
We were in Houston for Christmas last year.
For those of you that are not local.
We're sorry.
Yeah.
I mean, it's nice that they tried to do something.
But the coverage is awful.
Yeah.
It's just awful.
And last year the bands they put work.
I call my guitar players.
I do that.
We could play this.
They could call us right now when we could go down there and light this thing.
I'm just him and I acoustic better than some of the bands that were out there.
10 years after he grows up.
We play in a year and 15 years.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
You.
He was up.
People will be playing here in 15 years.
You.
You.
He's not going to the city.
So you leave him out of this city.
Yes.
Also interesting.
You know what we're going to go.
Coming up November 25th.
You're going to get to disc Deluxe Additions of two very seminal albums from this band right here.
public enemies fear of a black planet and it takes a nature of millions to hold us back
are getting two disc special edition treatments right before Thanksgiving rock and roll
all the famous sir I'm in on this and if you know anything about the history of hip
hop this is one of the biggest groups in hip hop history absolutely and for them to be
getting and you know they're not real big on people you know doing special treatments to their
stuff for them to do this is a huge deal the first disc will be the albums remastered the
second disc will be things like live cuts and b-sides so and then it would could be the
strangest headline of the week Bob Dylan next year going to do a album of Sinatra covers
so if you need something to help you sleep what what are we doing i didn't my way
that just did that
if you want to hear what Sinatra sounds like with an open head wound
if you want to hear what Sinatra would sound like today besides going i'm not dead let me out of here
this is what you're looking forward to wow no i'm just like just no i almost want to hear it
just from the curiosity factor i get you in my skin i got the way on a string no
this is a great song though this actually was on the soprano soundtrack it was a very good year
new releases this week and i'm so happy that i don't have this artist to play for you
betmiddler releases it's the girls okay good for her i can't i don't like her and i can't really
tell you why i'm just not a fan of the betmiddler never have been also of the new album this week
a kid that the kids in the clothes in the hair like calvian heris releases motion
and this next artist i have some stuff but i don't want to play it
new year releases story tone this week or it's or maybe it's not stereo it's because it's mono tone
bigger don't get it bigger okay bigger whip Dylan or kneel young kneel young really i'll
take Dylan over kneel young any day because i know that Dylan can write the next bill skyline album
is amazing like i dig that anything kneel young it's it's scrolls mating at a cage is what it is
everything sounds like i'm singing like comment it's just like godman or it's good for his
nephew robin i don't even insult either one of them that way also a brand new album from these guys
which i'm actually excited about really dooby brothers baby are they all still kicking
they're still touring without Michael McDonald's of course but they're still touring okay within
that will never happen sir i'm out i still like to do bro's though i'm called southbound
and i had to put this last one here just because i like the name of this band
mariachi el Bronx why three i just like i don't know i just i just think of a of a mariachi band in the
Bronx what are you looking at i was at the oh the Tony Romantic yeah he takes me with that
yikes you are listening to the clubhouse we are your one stop shopper all things sports and entertainment
we're gonna do some quick baseball talk because the season's over but man is it over
two words Madison bungarner do you realize his lifetime eRA in the world series is a point
two five tell me this was like what what year was this for him this was his second world series
because the john said now yeah i mean isn't a contract year for him is what i'm asking that i don't
but this is that this is the giants third world championship in five years they want it in 10
they want it in 12 and they want it in 14 and seven games in an amazing series congratulations
to the fans of the Kansas City Royals you guys played your butts off because really the only
game that was close was game seven yeah what an amazing series by both of these teams congratulations
to the giants fans classy fans on both sides of they actually drown out a Randy Orton promo
one night on wrong Kansas City but what an amazing series one of the most exciting baseball
playoffs in recent memory for sure overall great year great season yeah and bum gardener's got
his whole life ahead of him i will give comic to the Rangers and the the Cardinals because like
they the the Rangers were one out of way in game six from one and the thing then that shot that
brought it out i mean that one game seven also the Rangers didn't get into the playoffs sir no i'm
talking about a couple years ago and you made the world series yeah the world series can sing
Lewis remember how games six were went out of way and then boom they hit them we'll see you tomorrow
night and so I mean yeah but later there had been some great great world series lately but this year
was yeah for a particularly good congratulations to everybody I'm involved in that what a great world
and how classy Casey was after the fact you have to give it to them too Chevy should have probably
rethought their spokes and we have technology and stuff that poor guy was so nervous they gave him
a car that truck yeah it's been recalled are you serious because matters of bum gardener gets of course
gets the MVP the truck they gave him had his safety recall that is unfortunate here's your
car oh by the way we got to recall it oh no probably said I thought that one through
where to go Chevy hey I drive a Chevy well I mean tell me that didn't give it to him after I've
been recalled no I mean they just found out they gave it to him they found out oh this is one
it's been recalled oh that is unfortunate funny don't get me wrong but unfortunate yeah don't
drive off the field I just think you bite right into the dugout
oh I can't even talk right now I guess that's funny you know so much Chevy's gonna get the
can over this oh yeah let us now go to a fairly new segment we do on this show called in
memoriam we really only have one to talk about this week Wayne static founder of a band called
static X passed away yesterday cause of death has not yet been released he was with the band
from its inception until they built until they called it a day in 2013 um the main thing I remember
they had their own comic book there for a while very funny really the kids at the close in the
hair yes he was born in Mesquigan Michigan grew up in Shelby Michigan before moving to Chicago
and then California he was three years old when he received his first toy guitar
and age seven his parents got him a real guitar to learn from and he won a talent contest a year
later while playing skip to maloo had his first band at the age of 12 and after he moved to Chicago
he created a band called blue dream in 1987 he if you you've seen this guy he's got a really long
beard and really tall hair if you haven't looked him up I mean y'all y'all say oh that guy static X
he's actually on the cover of their 2009 release called of static was the last album of
their original lineup a lot of people really came especially people that I know in Facebook I've
come out and and been very very sad about this very well loved in the industry he was an atheist
and a very and a vegetarian he'd married an adult film actress in 2008 and they lived in Joshua
California there's 48 years old it's around about very odd trees
wait static you will be this sir we are your one stop shop for all things sports and entertainment
let's combine the two and talk a little pro wrestling show me Roman Reigns
not going to be back in the ring until December or January but is expected to pick up
his where his few with Seth Rollins left off he did an interview on Raw this week live air quotes
via satellite um didn't really tell us much we didn't know but that's the time frame
now let's give you some network numbers oops they lost 255 55000 subscribers in the third quarter
yeah but that also includes international that's not just domestic however they gained 286000 subscribers
so they're at a plus 33000 but I got an email on Thursday they are no longer requiring the six
month commitment for the 999 a month so you can go month to month and they announced on Smackdown
Friday night that if you're a new subscriber in the month of November you get the month of November for free
okay so you'll get survivor series for free not a bad deal not a bad deal at all
those of us that have been here since day one yeah brother but yeah till they have a right
to put it on through my Wi-Fi on my blue ray and stuff I'm not going to do it it's coming
when they do that you have a you have a you have a you have a Samsung I do have a Samsung still can't
what there's some there's one blue ray player mom that you can do it with but I think it's one of the
newer ones though in that's thing they put everything on this company into this network and it's not
doing great what they they have to have a million of great I have dug it man I know it's a great idea
I bought a Roku for I understand and a lot of people have and it's a good network but
when even after that 999 thing for the last three months they only gain a plus 30 some thousand people
and they need a million of break even it's gonna happen dude I've got faith in this network
we're getting more and more content I just started watching and that's why we get it started
watching the Monday night wars great series I'm not saying anything bad about the network it's just
that the numbers are getting killed there after everything they're doing and it's in that's why
some of the people were gone out of the company and the companies that are still carrying the
paper views are still staying afloat they're getting a decent buy rate yeah so it's not like anybody's
losing in this thing it get my 10 bucks every month yeah and they've got the new series rival
reasons which I'm I'm excited to start watching so but that's why when the numbers came out the
tightest thing I just think them having live programming I don't know how to be watching live everything
I watch is only an archive yeah you know I would love to start watching NXT when I have time
yeah it's probably great thing and don't get me wrong it's just that they need a million to break
even you watch everything except everything archive except the paper view right
the rumble will be in filly the weekend before the Super Bowl it is sold out
wow we announced this morning the rumble is sold out
so it's gonna be a strong 2015 start for WWE I'm just waiting for 2016
because that's when they're gonna get a lot of my money and both have you noticed kind of
doubtelling back to the two NFL talk I lost track today how many times I heard the warrior theme
played and stings theme played over the P.A. it's really I swear at the cowboy again and at the
at the Denver New England game really yeah I heard stings theme played at the Denver New England game
I heard the warrior theme at the cowboy game smiling very big right now I look I just remember
looking over Jill's going and a rob would be paying his pants right all right boys let's talk raw
JBL oh no his name is not Neil the grassy Tyson
his name is Neil the grass Tyson and you will respect one of the top notch scientists on the planet
the grassy is a Canadian television show there was there are very few times where I want
Michael called a punch somebody that was one of them that man is to be highly respected no his name
I'm not a fan of JBL on the mic I'm just not I just don't like him as a heel announcer
that's the Michael Cole Michael Cole is getting better he really is originally Michael Cole was
a victim of of the of the situation he's in yeah I still hate him and we had a mark Henry heel turn
everybody there's a 20th time do I need to see a Frenchy mark Henry program again I really thought
they would just go ahead and put the tag belts on them and let them dominate for a while
but I'll tell you what dog on if he didn't world strongest land Frenchy three times give it to him on that
it's a big man and we had a return bow Dallas puts out an open challenge and this happens
Ryberg what I thought he was going that's what I thought too but he's back and he's back face
doing the saving he started off with what comes in squash as somebody works and if it works
if it works why are we you know the crowd was into it they were doing the deal
so tribe axles done right back so we can only pray but he's been off TV for a minute too
wow that's really shocking yeah I was shocked by that too I was like are you
I thought he got his walk in papers and everything I thought he quit
I guess he walked away with the option of leaving the door up and for him to do it come back
because he's back but you know God knows we needed him I don't know what we're doing with him but that's the deal
and I am now on general principle since Helen Ascel I will be fast forwarding every segment with
the bells and tell the singles over really because I hate these indentured servant
yeah angles they very very much make me uncomfortable especially after at Helen Ascel after she
won that match and she had this movie yeah she had Brie make this movie and then dumped it all over
and said that's yours make me another one they didn't notice that Brie ended up leaving her phone in that
car just saying I didn't even think about that but yeah you're right I just I'm done with this angle
I guess Steven's listening and he says Rusev versus Rye back in a hardcore shoots and ladders
I love that kid I just I can't I can't take this bell as angle or of course I still think it
leads up to when I quit match at summer slam I mean survivor series remember I said that three weeks ago
yeah Brie Bergen no no Bella versus Bella I quit match I still think that's going to happen because that'll be
right at the 30 days now probably make Rye Berk beat yeah I think that's what it's going we're going to talk
about that here in a minute too but I great I enjoyed the paper of you something I thought it was a very strong
ending there was a reason that Rollins and Ambrose were the main event that that tumble they took
off the middle of the cell was ridiculous it was badly timed it was a tough spot but the fact that
they did the spot was the important thing really I enjoyed the paper view I don't know if it was I
would call it high quality but I enjoyed it we've sat through worse yeah that is true oh that's
curingles music he has sororish than a show when I found out he assigned a part-time deal with TNA
he is moving to Los Angeles and wants to take his stab at Hollywood really because he's so great on
programming. Be better than TNA. Well, what is this? You ain't setting the bar real high.
In fact, I'm reading is expected to stay at spike but for considerably less money.
And are we going to talk about that one thing we talked about? We talked about that last
video. Yeah, I mean with six weeks of recaptures. Well, but you know what you, but you know what that
does for me two hours on a sit-through exactly. But like, oh recapture to lead.
But impact this week. Do we have to talk about it? Yes, we do. Not a bad show.
Oh, yeah, the ending, but that's about it. Now they have, not chat. I don't know if you know this,
but they have a new club you can be a part of. Oh, no. And I know, I'm not kidding you when I say this.
This is literally happened. They're called the TNA Listers. That happened. That happened on my television.
I wish they could hear me squinting after you said that. God, you can be a TNA Lister.
TN sign up for exclusive emails about things coming up by impact that everybody else knew about
five weeks ago. I wish we could swear on this show. That happened, sir. And so I guess now,
Bram is going to be the hardcore legend killer. Is that what we're going with this?
And I love Tommy Dreamer. But man, he was moving almost. Yeah, when it's day nine. Yeah, yeah.
This is the sound of people losing their will to live. And if you really didn't know
how far impact has fallen. Oh, we knew we have a new push. Oh, God, for this guy.
Who is it? What is it sound like? Reverse the notes. Shark boy is back. Shark boy
is working in angle. Or now he's just like fat and lazy shark. Yeah. Who's still doing his stone
cold Steve Austin impersonation, by the way. And all he does is he 20s. No, those were hot dogs.
Oh, okay. Well, the one we was the 20s or something. And a guy said, can we get the old shark boy back?
Oh, shield you. Oh, yeah. This is what we're doing. And I like shark boy. Don't get me wrong. I like shark boy.
But do we need to give him a push in the expected ratings with this to a shark cage.
And so we're also now doing this angle. Because remember, I told you they're turning cowboy
James storm into Bray Wyatt. He's already recruited to answer and Sonata. So now they're trying to work
at angle where they're recruiting Davie Richards, which I'm going. Okay. So let's take
probably the best tag team in the business right now. And split them up. Let's do that. Yes.
Because that is going to help the company. Are you kidding me? That's like breaking up the shield when
they did. They call it one. Your tag division is bad enough as it is where you're having a tag
team tournament where guys are just picking partners. If you're going to do that, do you
delete the lottery? At least that was in our team. But in the WWE defense that did kind of
ended up working out for them in the long run. No, you shouldn't have broke up the shield. The shield.
Yeah, I eventually, yes, but I think they should have waited longer to do. No, no, no.
Yeah, I'm just saying, but in the long run, I like whether I can imagine the shield still being
together now. You'd have to be doing an angle where it's the shield versus the authority.
And almost a NWO type thing, which is without those kind of numbers.
And you have a new world champion. And his name is Bobby Roode.
So lastly, drop the strap this week. And a very good match. He's very entertaining match. I
very much enjoyed that. There's actually about four weeks ago, but yeah, but still it was a
person we got to see. Yeah, you know, it was a good match. I really, really enjoyed that match.
But of course, you know, today has said, we know he probably has a rematch really today
because we don't know how that works. All right. Let's move on and have some SmackDown headlines.
We're really only one SmackDown headline. Apparently Daniel Bryan needs another arm surgery.
Oh, no. So his time table return is truly unknown right now. Nobody knows. Not even him.
That's a shame. It's he's got to do something. There's rumors that he might want to retire.
I don't know if that's a good idea. I am at a disc rate. I mean, my god. How much how much can he have
in the tank at this point? Yeah. Let's true. Let's talk some back down. He says, you know,
I was like, bring him a stereo. Always heard now. Well, we were talking. Please. Well, we're actually
officially talking. So I just backed out headlines. So your main event, Cesaro versus Dean Ambrose,
Friday night, remember what's Friday night? And what can called a trick or street fight? You see where they did
there? The street fight on Halloween. And there were candlesticks painted like candy corn.
I'm not kidding you. I wish you were. And we had a diva's costume battle royal for your number one
contender ship. And this new guy, whoever he is, had to explain every costume as the divas came out.
And there were like 15 divas. Now granted, it led the show. But I know what a zombie nurse looks like.
I know what a cat looks like. I know what a cave girl looks like. They don't, you don't
explain that to me. And if you don't know, just find an adult. Find a grownup. Even if you are one,
find one. I don't need to be spoon-fed. And I notes a mark Henry. Because he came out to attack
Frenchy. And a Frenchy came out to attack him during Miss TV. He tried to get away by jumping
over there. And I said, notes a mark Henry. The only way you clear that barricade is if you
start when Frenchy is still at the entryway from the back. I put St. Cara's trampoline in front of
it. Oh, that's still my break. You need to, you need to jump it on his own. You need a full trampoline
like kids have in their backyard, I think. Even that, you need one of those real and forced jobs.
And so trampoline. Bruce, Bruce, comes out. And he fights Kali. How confused with that crowd of
Venif Kali is the one to beat Bruce. Oh, what? Do you be the book? I would have booked that
just just for the pure shock value of it. Because he's a hometown guy. He wasn't used to know.
Yep, travel hard. And here's a quick fact for you. If you go to Lannas,
IMDB page, her real name is CJ Perry. Okay. If you go to her IMDB page, if you go to her pictures,
there is a picture of her standing in a meadow holding an American flag over herself. You may want
to take that one down. Just, I'm just going to put it out there. People listening when raw is
coming to your town. That would be a nice, if you're sitting in the front row camera, camera side.
Oh, have that on a sign. Oh, yes. With the clubhouse.clubhousepodcast.com, right underneath
Rick, Rick, if you're listening. Oh, man. Don May have had a stroke of genius on this show,
market. Because I'm telling you, it's on there on her. I'm going to talk to Rick.
They're going to seem next at MPX. I will tell him, go to her IMDB page and say, this is Lannas.
I'm telling you, she's standing in the field. And she's got her hands up holding an American flag,
right behind herself. I just have him do that with a big question mark next to it. And just
tell him to put the clubhousepodcast, right? Yeah, because that would be seen in MPX a lot.
You know, he was at the deal up the street last night at the Mesquite convention.
Yeah, they had a big event. Yeah, they had MPX last night. No, that. Yeah, that was an MPX thing.
I know. I know. Well, a lot of the people in the X-word. But 10 bucks versus 100. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not going to make you. Gentlemen, let's go back to the other
side of things and talk a little bit a little bit. I sound like I'm from Nandana.
I know you were going to say that of movie talk. We start with box office numbers.
We haven't done box office numbers in a really well, because we haven't been here. Well,
plus the fact that the places we were, I was trying to multitask and that did not work out
well for us. And plus one, you know, two shows ago, it was a Friday night, so we couldn't do box
office numbers. True. Dropping out of the top 10 this week, Dracula untold. Actually,
no, it doesn't scratch that. The best of me drops from 8 to 11. I have heard horrible
things about this movie. I bleak candidate for worst film of the year. I don't know. I don't know.
$2.7 million for a three week total of 21.9 million on a $26 million budget.
I think that's the only thing that drops out of the top 10 this week.
Yeah. Movie day viewing in 14 places, the Nicole Kedman film before I go to sleep,
debuting with $2.025 million. If you want to know what we thought of it,
you probably want to subscribe on iTunes. In 10th place, dropping from 9 to 10 is Dracula untold,
just under $3 million for a four week total of $52.9 million on a $70 million budget.
I've talked to a few people that have seen this that have gone in 9th place. Up from 10 to
9 is the Robert Downey Jr. Robert Duvall film The Judge. $3.4 million for a four week total of $39.6
million on a $50 million budget. Not a bad deal there. No. Eight place dropping from seven.
And the movie I didn't know was being made until about a week before I got released.
Alexander and the terrible horrible, no good, very bad day. $6.5 million for a four week total of
$53.6 million on a $28 million budget. Most of that probably went to Correll. Probably.
Dropping from six to seven this week, Saint Vincent. You want to know what we thought of that film.
You really want to subscribe on iTunes. $7.8 million for a four week total of just about 19 and a half,
but I don't have a budget on that. In six place, dropping from a silver metal to six places,
the new Kiana Reeves vehicle John Wick, which I have heard very, very good things about. That's hard.
And John said he enjoyed it very much. It's brutal. But it's one of those basic revenge
flicks, but it was bad. I enjoyed it. I really did. Makes $81 million for a two week total of $27.6
million. I don't have a budget on that either. The book of life, staying at fifth place,
$8.3 million for a three week total of $40.5 million on a $50 million budget. You want to
know what I think? Subscribe on iTunes. And produce locally. Yeah. So support, support Dallas film,
please. Staying in fourth place this week, gone girl. Another $8.8 million for a five week total
of $136.6 million on a $61 million budget. Rushing it. I did like that one. I didn't see the
Another movie that Don enjoyed Fury stays at the bronze medal this week, $9.1 million for a three week
total of $60.4 million on a $60 million budget. That might make my top 10 this year.
Dropping from the gold medal to the silver medal this week, weasya 10.9 million for a two week total of
$34.0 million on a $35 million budget. And when I say winning the weekend, it won the weekend
by $9,000. Wow. That's your distance between one and two this weekend. And almost the same amount
of theaters this week. The new Jake Joe and Hall vehicle night crawler. You want to know what we
thought about it? Subscribe on iTunes. $10.909 million. It literally wins by $9,000 for the weekend.
And I think one word of mouth of that one gets out. It probably even kicked up your mouth. Well,
there's a lot of good word of mouth now because a debut to fantastic fest in September in Austin
to some very, very good reviews. All right. I'm very excited right now because we're good at
talking about the Marvel event. Oh, yeah. Uh, we didn't run tomatoes. A percent. No. So Marvel has
their big event this past week because after Warner Bros. announces all of their movies through 2020,
Marvel had to counter. It owed it to the counter. Captain America 3 when they first started,
they called it Serpent Society. Everybody was like, oh, and then they announced it again at the end
they went, no, really. It's Civil War. Oh, no! May 6th, 2016 for Cap 3.
And that's okay because we've got to have Age of Ultron, which by the way, if you have not seen the trailer,
dear Lord. And that's what I said. I bet they got that song real cheap.
I think you have to watch that one yet. It's all my DVR. I don't want to know. Don't say anything.
Dr. Strange November 4th, 2016 played by the great Benedict Cumberbatch. Oh, I'm so another star
trek crossover. I'm in. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Although I thought Jared Lotto was an interesting
choice. I thought he would have done a great job. I thought that would have worked out pretty well.
Or, DEP. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 may 5th of 2017. Very excited about that as well. Same forecast,
by the way, did you see the trailer they showed during the Marvel event?
For something we're going to talk about here in a minute. I guess not. Oh, dear baby Jesus,
you've got to see this thing after the show. On Guardians of the Galaxy, I'll run. All for
everybody's in. Okay. Four Ragnarok, which Devon Pike and Clay Harrison of myself are claiming
gimmick infringement. July 28th, 2017. So there will be an entire month of Ragnarok.
Black Panther November 3rd, 2017. It is finally happening, starring the great Chadwick
Boseman. This kid is getting great roles. Oh my god. You've Jackie Robinson,
James Brown, and now to Challa. Have you seen the costume design? No, it's pretty faithful.
It looks awesome. And then, what we're going to bury the lead on this. Carole Danvers,
Captain Marvel. July 6, 2018. No casting has been announced, but we're all pretty sure it's
going to be Katie Stack-off. There's no other way to go with this. In humans, they're doing an
inhuman's movie. That kind of November 2nd, 2018. And then everybody lost their cool.
And I might even describe the trailer to you. I want you to watch it and it's cell phone footage.
So you're going to have to see it. But you're going to get the gist of it.
Avengers Infinity War parts 1 and 2. They're splitting it up. May of 2018 and may of 2019.
Wait until you see what they did. I lost my cool and so did that entire room.
Oh, you have to see it for the show. You have to.
And Fox, it will be doing a gambit movie with Channing Tatum. They are moving forward on that.
I'm okay with this. Channing Tatum. Okay. He's from New Orleans. And he's one of those guys that
I kind of have a man crush on the dude. Because everything I've seen, he's just the coolest
dude ever. I still think they should just stick with the shoot. The guy that was in justified.
The Walton Goggins? Now, I don't know. All the fans? Yeah. Really, yeah. That's how I always see
his gambit. Gal Gadot has pulled out of the remake of Ben Hurr for her Wonder Woman Commitments.
They weren't remaking Ben Hurr. I guess. Thought I read yesterday. I'm on board.
Seth Rogan. Oh, by the way, the Wonder Woman movies probably going to be set in the 20s
is what I'm hearing. So they're going to weigh back into the 20s. She's basically in a mortal. It's
not going to matter. Seth Rogan is going to play Steve Wozniak and Aaron Sorkin's Steve Jobs
biopic. How is her judgmental? I see a trailer saying Sorkin. And then movie and movie news
that makes Chad very, very happy. Paul Rubens was on the tonight's show Wednesday.
There will be a P.O.E. movie coming. It's going to film in February. It will be produced by
Judd Apatow. Director will be announced this week. Who's doing the tonight's show now?
He's like, is it Spielberg? He's like, no, it's not Spielberg. If I can't, from the video, the video
fest we saw that above and beyond us, I'll part of that above. It's really Air Force and how
was only like four people. One of those four people was P.O.E. Herman's dad. Really? Yes. And he was
on that documentary in a very subdued thing with his mother. And saying he just had to go and
help Israel. And he was one of four Air Force pilots that stopped the invasion. Not aware of that.
Yeah. And I was watching a movie going wild. But what are you worrying about over there, sir?
What do you think? Yeah. That's one of the great things about the video fest. This story
or something else is on the run sheet. The Infinity War. Oh, you have to have it with audio.
You have to have because you have to hear that room explode. God almighty. And you have to hear the
sound that goes all the way through. It's ridiculously amazing. And now we get to hear this song.
They haven't heard this song in a long time. We are three or four weeks away from the Hunger
Games mocking Jay part one. Tickets went on sale Wednesday or Thursday, whichever it was.
It is the highest selling tickets for first day ticket sales of the year beating out
divergent. It doubled that of when catching fire went on sale. And on the day it went on sale
80% of fan dango's money that day was made from tickets for mocking Jay part one. God.
And these trailers they've been showing the final trailers finally out. But these trailers have
been amazing. The one where they actually send her back home. So she can see what the capitals
done to her district. Oh, I'm like, oh, it's about to get real. So and I did talk to Charlotte
a bit about it yesterday. And she still content. She knows where they're going to stop it. And if
they do, she's going to be really, really mad. And then news, I didn't see coming. Disney
is remaking something wicked this way comes. Really? That movie freaked me out. Is that
kid too? That movie? I don't know. But that movie freaked me out as a kid.
I can only imagine what modern day special effects would do to me. Yeah, no kidding.
I mean, that movie freaked me out. Well, you know, yardeted which mountain all that. That's
what the rock. You know, but race, race in which mountain wasn't that bad. I had to remove
myself from the original, because I loved them so much. Both escaped from and returned to
just giving my condor man and black hole in my X and I'll be in a condor. I mean, no, leave
the black hole alone. And I'll say, well, you talk about this. That's not hold up. That's why
these be rebate. That ending. That's why it needs to be rebate. Movie new releases in places you see
movie new releases in this week. Oh, just say it. Don't say Rob, can you change it to
a stealer game? Because I can do that because I have a remote in the studio now. Did
not on you? You got time. Take three and a half hours of your life if you choose to do so and
see the new Christopher Nolan movie coming out this weekend called Interstellar. Interstate
love song. You're welcome. What? Because you know, with the only way to go in spaces,
it does. You got to take a shirt off. Why you're driving a car? Talk about a job. I'm going to tell you
I'm going to be in space. I'm a shirt off in zero gravity. It's going to make my picture of a job. It's
basically a lot of what you might have paid me to do it. I'm driving that car and talking about driving
also from Disney Big Hero 6 another Marvel property. Oh, it is. That's a marvelous. I had no idea
that it is. The kids really want to see that. It's making it like all of all want to see that. I'm on the
fence here. Also a documentary called 21 years about Richard Linklatter. It's fancy. If you don't
know who he is, he's if no other reason, he's the guy that inspired Kevin Smith to be a filmmaker
with his film Slacker. Also this year did a movie called Boyhood, which I finally saw you saw
that. How would you think of it? You were talking about how there's another movie that came
up earlier in this conversation that's trying to be your favorite movie the year. That movie
didn't have to try it. It is my favorite. Really all by a long shot. Megan isn't love with that movie.
Love it. Did you that you catch? We'll talk up here. We'll see if we're going to have caught something in the end.
That's I caught in about two other people caught and we don't know if you did it on purpose or not.
Also out this week a movie called Elsa and Fred Shirley McLean and Christopher Plummer.
The story of two people who at the end of the road discover that it's never too late to love and
make dreams come true. It's not Charlie McLean, so you know I'm already on the fence.
But it's also got Marcia Gay Harden who you know I'm a big fan of Scott Backella, Chris Knoth,
George Seagull, James Brolin, Erica Alexander, Wendell Pierce from the Wire.
So you know that's not a pretty good cast to it. Also a movie that was featured at Dallas video
fest 27 called Actress that Don very much enjoyed. It's about a lady who used to be on the wire
left, aside of that she was going to go and be just a normal housewife and lead a normal life and
the acting bugs start to bite her again. In her eat if they're getting a lover or hate her.
Yep. You said that in your review. Yeah. And a movie I saw a poster for that I'm a little
interested in. It's called Pelican Dreams.
Exactly.
Let me get you a it's a wayward California Pelican following from her arrest on the
Golden Gate Bridge and it's like it's kind of a march of the penguins kind of thing but
it's a Pelican. Oh okay. It's not about the New Orleans basketball team and they're got
off a logo and basketball. Blu-ray and DVD new releases this week. The Hobbit, the desolation
of the extended edition. Also Maleficent. Haven't you seen that? Uh huh. You enjoyed it
very much. Very much. I liked a lot more than I thought I would. Plains fire and rescue.
The Rock's version of Hercules? Hercules. What's an awful?
But I also heard it wasn't great. Well it better than clash with the Titans but then again
a very funny movie that I saw the trailer for called Land Ho. It's basically the story of
to elderly gentlemen that basically go on a trip through their former brothers in law and they just
go on a road trip through Iceland together and they're like retiree age. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I saw
the trailer for that. Uh the one I love which stars Mark do do plus from the league and Elizabeth
Moss who was on the west wing struggling with a marriage on the brink of falling apart a couple
escapes for a weekend in pursuit of their better selves only to discover an unusual dilemma that awaits
them. So it's the feel good movie of the year. Ted Dancens also in this. Marley Matlins in this.
You know you're on my huge fan of her. Mary Steenburgian. Probably tough to get here with her
when she already have Ted Dancens. Um Charlie McDowell. I've heard yeah. Thanks about it.
And WWE the attitude era volume two. So there's that. Let's do tech talk, shall we?
Apple will be folding beats music into iTunes from the
absolutely captain obvious department to these surprise of no one.
It's this we're talking Apple. Don has his iPhone 6 right here. I have my iPhone 6. What's
that means you're so fuller. Because that way since we have both to compare I want you
to see the difference in the tune. Dear God that is the difference between the iPhone 6
and the iPhone 6. Of course this is an audio medium but you're looking at there's a difference in
screen size of about eight tenths of an inch. Um but you I could fit Danc's entire phone with its
case into my case. For its 4.7 inch diagonal for the iPhone 6 5.5 for the i6 plus.
What have you discovered so far with your phone? Are you enjoying it?
Better than I had the four. I had a four app. Yeah until my I'm a contract was up and I
would it. And I like this lot better. The internet's a lot faster. The bigger screen does make a
difference. And you notice you're on the LTE network now and on the 4G network. Yeah exactly.
The picture quality and everything. And the thing is to the members of the empire out there.
Let's say you buy the new iPhone 6 or one of what it does. You can go these Apple stores and they
will actually do like special classes on like the iPads, the iPhone's. And that's the one thing
that you can say about Apple's. They can bring it down right now. And I actually did that the
day after about the iPhone 6. And it's about our longing. You want to ask stuff that this thing
can do for you. Which is really cool. So I enjoyed. I'm glad I have it. I'll keep it for a long
time. Just like I did my four. I really I've got the 6 plus and I'm really really digging it.
I will say this. It's freaking huge. No that would just be a little too big. I mean well I
look at the size. I couldn't get that but it got not a B2 bag. I would decide this perfect for mine.
I texted in front of the show Phil. And I said I really honestly in my heart of hearts believe
I could beat someone to death with this. I really do it. It's it's just but it'll probably
bend on you. It's it's it's it's just no well Ben. See here's the thing about that. And what
I know I know it's the guy that did that. He really had to bend it. Well there were some people
to put in a back pocket and sat on it without a case. And that's where it started from. Why would
you do that with any phone? Well they're any. Yeah but like you're putting your phone where
your butt is. And that's going to go in your face. Yeah you're there's no case on it you know you're
a special kind of knuckle. Of course I got the outer case on mine. Spade 50 bucks but well worth it.
I got what's called the ballistic case which is about 30 and I like it. Well I like mine. Mine's
real thin and so it has the cover over the screen. So you want to add that special layer and you
can still take it all the way out and not have that screen. But you know it's three parts on the
outer. But they're always greatness in a cases. Outers the best in my opinion. Also so we would
both recommend the phones. It's all right. I mean I really dig it. I haven't had a chance to mess
with Apple Pay yet but I do have that too scared. I was able to put more music in this phone.
So I'll be able to just bring this phone to the gym instead of my iPod which I think is great.
I still can't get my I don't know why and I have to look at maybe look at my owner's manual
for my car but my car won't play it. They'll do like the Bluetooth for my phone but it won't
do my music. Which I think is kind of weird. That's odd. So there is that. Yeah mine's like
them I have no problem with the Bluetooth and mine either so. And when was it made really
official that they were killing the iPod classic? They haven't killed it. They're just not
selling them any new. Yeah they just I mean it because I got mine replaced. They said that they
their reason was they can't get the parts for it anymore. Really I mean I had mine replaced last
month. So okay cool I can turn this up okay. And there was a panel at New York Comic Con
for Lego Batman 3. You get to play in space. Was it kind of fun?
And another one of my man crushes Stephen ML will be playing Green Arrow in the game.
And they asked him. He was a surprise guest at the part of the place went nuts and it was great
as apparently some guy in the audience yelled you have failed this panel. It's like thought was hilarious
and they asked him you know it was like I knew the I knew the tone of the game when I did my
first voice over and if you haven't watched Arrow every episode starts with him saying my name
is Oliver Queen and blah blah blah. Well his voice over for this one was my name is Oliver Queen
and I wear really tight pants. Really really really tight pants. And they're doing an entire
Arrow DLC pack for it. And ML goes I'll pay for it just for Lego Diggle. Very very excited. I said
on Twitter that Lego Batman 3 is really making me consider upgrading my gaming system really bad
and within 10 minutes Lego Batman 3 responded to it. I didn't even tag a minute. And in their
response was because I'm Batman and it's the only reason you need. Like I haven't even seen game footage
and Kevin Smith plays himself in the game. Oh you haven't seen game footage? I've only seen the picture
of Kevin in it. Jim Lee plays himself in it and there's a couple of the other artists that are playing
themselves in it that have powers. And Kevin said that his power was the ability to make a movie that
makes money. But he needs to grow that beard back real fast. Do you see the picture of him in
Quill Wheaton? No. Because apparently Quill Wheaton has grown a beard. And so Kevin like tried to
pencil one in for the picture. All right gentlemen the street lights on unless you have anything
else you want to talk about. Wow go for it brother. Because I've been sitting on this list for
a month. Every show ends with a list and tonight is no exception. The pendulum swings back to me.
Dawn? I don't see any. I'll show in the big deal from the Steelers to retire in the Jersey
Jesuit. Oh really? That means a green? Wow. We are exactly one year away to the month from
Bond 24. And we do know that the Baptista will be a villain in it. Very intrigued by that.
So I sat down and I thought to myself, I love that banner right there. Thanks,
me and Joe. I'm very nice. You know he doesn't have that jersey. I don't know where I went. I know
they have no idea. I thought I was in this facility. They've lost it. They don't know where it's at.
So I wanted to list my 10 favorite Bond themes. Oh, this is going to be good.
Number 10. Really? Yes, I love this song. And the only artist to be in the movie they did the
theme song for. Have a role in the film. You probably had it in a contract. But she was only in
for like that long. So it was okay by me. Die another day. Not a great movie. But I love this theme song.
Like in a lot more for what if that guy come out of 10. Yeah, but it kind of fits with the style of the song
though. We're right here. It's just funky. I got that snake toe jam on the awesome other punk.
Number nine. Number nine. Number nine.
And one of the the theme songs that wasn't the title of the film.
Carly Simon. Nobody does it better from a spy who love me. Although she does say the spy who
loved me in this. Yeah, she does. But she never says it like it's not the title of the song,
which was kind of a rarity because that's the way it normally worked except for Dr. No, didn't
because Dr. No didn't have the ham-fisted vocal of Charlie Bassin in it. Well, neither did
a scene at Royale or quantum of solace. I'm talking about like of the old ones.
Oh, because once you reboot your reboot, and that's okay. And I'm not a big Carly Simon fan,
but I like this song. Oh, this is the instrumental version you gave me. He gave me the actual one.
Oh, well, this is the theme that that CD did for me many, many years ago of all the bond themes.
Oh, the one from uh, uh, octopult thing is not is not mentioned either, obviously.
You could have just said I was just in the film. You couldn't have taken it.
They are. Well, better safe and sorry. Number eight. And again, you gave me one theme, but you didn't
give me the other one from this film. And again, not a bad, oh, not a bad bond film. I enjoyed
license to kill glass of this thing. This is great. It had all the grandeur of bond, but really a lot
of other people recognize if you ask me to over this. And I think the compilations that I've found
don't have if you asked me too long. That's right. Yeah, because that played over the end credits.
And that was the big song before selling Dion did it. I love this song. Oh, my gosh. And again,
even though it was a Timothy Dalton bond film, I liked license to kill. I had a bad film. I used to have
them the one sheet for it in my bedroom in high school. I didn't ever show you that picture of my the
entire wall behind my bed in high school was all movie posters. And this was one of them.
I had godfather three major league. Willow, uh, down subset, Baltimore, just score.
Number seven. Make sure his bike is off from the horrible film. Good theme song.
And I do have a little bit of an unhealthy crush in this artist.
Tomorrow never dies, Cheryl Crow.
Because it was a little bit different, but not different enough to not be good. You know what I mean? Yeah,
but a terrible film. And just her vocal on this style just kind of gives it a little bit of
a section of this toy and all of a sudden. It's not like a torch singer. And the openings, the credit
sequence in this, I just I love the way they do those credit sequences. It's just awesome. They really
ended up, especially once Sean Connery took the hat off. I think like when we were the hat,
it was weird for me. I felt like I was going to be watching the Avengers and I don't mean the
Marvel Comics the Avengers. Number six. And an artist that you have a bit of an unhealthy crush on.
I like this group a lot. I don't know. I thought she had a bit of a crush in the show. We
made it. Particularly. I just I think she was great in the Sarah Conner. Yeah, I think she's cool as heck.
Garbage doing the world is not enough. Not a great bond film, but a great theme. It was
better than dying another day. I didn't like to twist in the middle. So if you're more so
how you doing, but you're broken here. But I just love how the bond themes can work a theme,
but complete be completely great songs on their own. Uh-huh. Where you know like you can hear a song
and go that's a theme from a bond film. But it's still great as it's own song. It's a good pop song.
Number five. And the only artist to appear performing the theme song in a bond film in the opening
credits. Love this. Oh, Sheena Easton. How are you doing? Can I tell you though? You know how
people have things songs in their lives and this is going to be, you're going to look at me and go
how the heck, what is that? But you know how you have songs and you screw up the lyrics when you're
kid. Uh-huh. When she says maybe I'm an open book. And I can't remember. I was what? Nine, eight,
eight or nine. Okay. For some reason, I think maybe I'm a lonely goat and I don't know why.
True story. You can, and my mom will verify that. Because she was in the car,
she just looked at me like that's like why she said she's like, well, you don't get the ways of the
world yet. So we're cool. But she was the only artist to actually perform the themes on in the opening credits.
It's a true story. And I'm not afraid to admit it. You sir. I'm a man. Something to do with Daniel Bryan.
I'm a man. I'm 41. You certainly need a lot of hell. Number four. Yeah, I know.
I'm talking to him. Not you. And there's a, there's the gobo-esque band that does a great version of this
where it starts out like this and it's just like triple up. Man, you're with a new joke. Awesome.
Durand Durand of you to a kill. Average bond movie. I don't know if we needed Grace Jones.
This was hit. This was Roger Moore's last. This was the last one Roger Moore did because it came
right before a living daylights because remember, aha, did the living daylights. Which I was not a fan of.
But I love this theme. I don't like Grace Jones in that film though, but back to this. She was
better in Conan's Destroyer. Which I ain't saying. That's true. But a great song. Yes. And
but again, I like this theme because it's just a little bit bond. But it's a whole lot
1985. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean? It's that it was that perfect blend of what bond was doing.
I think they were evolving the character. What they were doing at the time. I really loved how they
kind of made it more. Made it less bond more 1985, but it still works.
Number three and the only bonds theme song I don't have. And I could have sworn I had this thing.
But I have a different different different places. And I can't find it.
And if you don't like this bond theme, I will reach you this microphone and choke you.
Because I believe this one, the Oscar for Best Song did it not. I know it won the Golden Globe. I'm pretty sure.
You said you said you didn't have this. I don't know. I thought I did. And I don't.
You played it when I got unveiled. But I think I played it from YouTube. Like I'm doing right now.
Well, I can fix that. I need the, I don't know why. Boy, sing it down.
That woman's voice can stop her room. She can stop time.
Skyfall when I first heard this theme, I was like, she and Paul Epworth nailed it.
Nailed it.
Because if you think about the two that came before it, the Cornell thing was okay. I love it. It was it.
It was a little too hard edged for me. She won the Academy. Okay. The Jack Black Alicia
Key thing was a debacle. Jack Black or Jack. Jack same difference. They're both colors.
Actually, they're both the absence of color. Um, but then this thing hit.
And the movie was great enough. But this kind of ushered in the expectation of how good this
movie was going to be. Because it was such a long time. It was like what four or five months
that before the film came out that they released the song. Well, and it we've been waiting so long
for this sequel. Because of all the MGM hoop. Yes. And I'm ready for bond 24. Oh, God. Yeah.
I was ready for bond 24 when we walked out of this one. What are you talking about?
But Adele nailed it. The performance is dead on. And I think they only did like three takes of it
or something. Like they just went, no, that's it. That's just there's no way it gets any better than
that performance. And she's not doing the next one. There were rumors that she was good to do the
next one. But she's like, you know what, I can't. How where do you go from there? Like,
why would you even try to even meet that? And they haven't announced who's doing it yet.
And then he's not to my knowledge. Thank you. If anybody's capable of of
long as it's not a very on a grondae, I don't care. God. So that's skyfall is that number three
on my 10 favorite bond themes. Let us now go to number two. The right version, not the
Gunson roses version.
Paul McCartney. Do you count this Paul McCartney and wings were just Paul McCartney?
I thought it was because I think my parents had the 45 and I thought it was Paul McCartney and wings.
And a great opening, a credit sequence that went with this, too. Just genius.
Freaking me out as a kid, though. Apparently he was in concert. Tom Griswell, the Bob and Tom
show went and saw him. Of course, because Tom Griswell, their drummer does a drum solo with
drumsticks that are mini Louisville sluggers. Are you serious? Yeah, he said it's amazing.
Paul McCartney and wings. Okay. Thank you, Don. That's why we have him. And my number one
favorite bond theme ever for multiple reasons. Number one, this was the first bond with Pierce
Brosnan. Number two, I got to see it with my mom and a theater, which was a tradition we had since
I was a kid. We always watched James Bond movies together. Number three, it's probably one of
the best bond films ever. And who co-wrote this with her? Surprisingly,
Bono and Lea. You better believe it. And I think they had a hand in jerk in the video, too.
Yeah, Tina Turner, golden eye. This really encapsures to me everything James Bond is.
It's just got that grittiness to it. It's got that darkness to it. It's got that drive.
It is my favorite bond theme ever. And it's got this repeating motif of the horn stain.
Yeah, the bond theme that just drives it. Any mentions from you, boys?
Surprisingly, none of the bassy ones came off because of her hand fist. Go finger. No.
You give that woman way too much grief. She did a great job at the Oscars. Yes, she did. I will give credit
where credit's new. But that just that opening just full throttle angle. Surely can we bring
that level down a little bit in the control room? A little bit, please. Oh, the diamond is off.
All right.
So I was like, she's calling somebody for dinner. I was like, oh, it's not on. It's like,
SOMETHING. I was about to suck. It's like SOMETHING. It's like SOMETHING. It's like SOMETHING. It's like,
SOMETHING does James Bond. Oh, I got a thing. We lost three wheels. The last one has a one,
lug nut in right now. Don any, any mentions from you, some of your favorites? I'd like to let it. I
I think if I had a list of probably pretty really will close to this. Chad,
I'm a big fan of the Cornell thing for, you know, my name. I just, I love that. But I'm a Cornell
Mark. No, but I like, I like Chris Cornell too. I just for me, and you talk about an opening credit
sequence. That was a great opening credit sequence. It'll get me wrong. But to me, that wasn't a
great bond thing. It's a great theme. It's not a great bond theme. And you know, I'm very critical
when it comes to all things James Bond. As I'm right there, I'm right there with you and you and
