My name is Robin. It's been a very mellow weekend. I went to a media venue yesterday and after I got back from there, I didn't leave the house for the rest of the day.

Sometimes you got to have that. Joining me across the desk as he tends to do. He's a man who likes his chicken wings with actual sauce on them.

He is Jack. Weird segue, but okay. I got to face I got to see something.

That's what you got to understand. 99 times out of 100, I don't plan it until I'm sitting in the chair. It's just true.

And since we didn't get to hang out yesterday, there was nothing I could reference. I couldn't reference any funny that your wife may or may not have said. Because we don't have three years of that to fall back on.

Yeah, but I like it when it's current. Okay. To his left is a man returning the show after many, many moons that we have not seen in a while.

I don't know. He's a man who's going to have some things to talk about here in just a little wire. He is barbed wire.

Not going to do it again. There you are. We've got to get this wiring right.

I'm just saying. And to his left, he is the official fact checker of his shows. Maybe the first time you've heard in this weekend, but it isn't the first time he's been in the studio this weekend.

It was so fun. And like I said, I didn't realize how bad the meltdown was until I listened back to it. I was like, wow, I really did kind of lose my mind there for a minute.

Kansas City. There you go, well done. You don't remember when I told you I went to Kansas here on a business trip in my hotel.

It was right next to the NASCAR track and it was in the dead of summer. And so all the heat off the track was making it like 123, like my rental car at one point said 128 on the deal. But it is right there.

On the outskirts of Kansas City, beautiful area that it's in. There's a great wolf lodge, like right next to it. And a lot of great shopping right around there too.

Great racing at that track. Has everybody found the video game? Because I found two of them.

Yeah, two of them. Which one was it? Test drive off road wide open and hot wheels turbo racing.

And I think that's what we were playing. No, it was the first one. Because it wasn't a hot wheels game.

It was just a generic racing four by fours across stuff. But the name of your race next Sunday at one o'clock eastern is the Hollywood casino 400. I'm assuming this is a first because this doesn't sound familiar to me.

Maybe for Hollywood. That's what I'm saying. It's a Hollywood casino sponsored race.

It will be on your ESPN affiliate next Sunday at one o'clock eastern time. So if you're here in the central time zone that would be noon, which would give you plenty of time to watch the race and then get to Fox and Hound. Because we have a major announcement coming up here in just a minute.

We may go ahead and do it here momentarily. We're actually going to be out of the studio for the next two weeks running. We don't know the second one.

October 9. Starts the 26th annual DFW video fest. It's a film festival.

A lot of it will be taking place at the Alamo draft house cinema and some other the Texas theater doing some stuff as well. We will be broadcasting live from video fest. So for the first time in a long, long time, we'll be on the road two weeks in a row because next week we'll be at Fox and Hound for WWE battleground.

So we went to a media event yesterday at the Alamo and got it got the okay lockdown. We don't have a date lockdown yet. You never know.

It's going to be the great Kelly Kitchens friend of the show. Has a green lit this thing for us. We thank you Kelly for giving us this opportunity.

And she and I will be in touch probably or maybe you one of the two of us will be in contact this week. And we're going to get that thing locked down. And we're going to give you more information on that in the coming days because Don and I did go to the media event and some great films are going to be screened at this thing.

Yeah. Look at that. And then there's going to be a couple shows that the Texas theater went at the McKinney theater also.

Fair play, sir. Well, let's get this in TV talk. In an interview this week with the Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Serrando.

Serrando. So my clothes do you think I'm close on that? I don't know.

He says there will be more arrested development coming. Whether it's going to be another season of episodes or a movie, there is more coming. I have not watched the latest season yet just because I got a lot going on.

Within my summaries, thank you. I just haven't had a chance to look at yet. Also, I don't know about you guys, but I've been getting inundated with emails from red box about how they're doing their new streaming feature.

No. Yeah, they're doing their new streaming thing. You pay them a sort of amount of money every month and you can stream movies.

I have heard that their technology has not caught up to Netflix yet. Wow. So I'm going to be interested to see.

I'd like to see what lineup is, but I don't want to pay for it. Netflix has a bunch of stuff I want to watch. Mine, mine, mine, mine seems pretty full, but I'm a big fan of documentaries.

And if you're a big fan of documentaries, you, you've got plenty to watch. Well, there's some movies in there that I haven't seen that I need to see. Talk right into that microphone, sir.

I watched all of WWE and I was done. Let's see, that's what I love about Netflix though, because I've got to see a punk documentary sitting in my instinct here right now that I've heard it is probably one of the best ones they've done. Really?

Yes. But you'd have to do the match disc separately, but I'm more worried about the documentaries and I'm worried about the matches. Most of the matches, I've seen it some more.

And probably know how they're going to end in most cases. If you're a fan of American dad, get ready. Later this season, Kim Kardashian will be a special voice guest, voicing a furry alien who gets together with Roger.

Is that the alien on the show? Yeah, that's Roger. The one that sounds like, uh, and I love the show, but why?

Oh, no. Sound like Jim J. Bullock or, no, who is it?

No, there's usually a match game as he sounds like. The show probably be doing the voiceovers like Graceland when they move in. So, now that's true.

I want to live in a universe with no Kardashians. I'm just saying. This past week, if you're a member of geek culture, we finally arrived at the season premiere of Marvel's Agents of Shield.

Our chatting now, I the only ones in the room that watched it. Barbara, did you see it? No, don't.

Did you watch it? I watched it. I saw it.

I've watched it twice. Here's my thing. First of all, congratulations to them.

The highest TV drama debut in four years. It buried in CIS. And I mean buried it.

I think it has potential. I'm not ready to get my crazy pants dancing yet. I'm not there.

But I kind of like where it's going. I mean, I trust Jos we don't get me wrong. But I'm going to see where this thing goes.

I'm interested. Derek and I talked quite a bit about it on texting as it was going on. We both have some interesting theories.

Chad, I mean, you watched it twice. Obviously, you enjoyed it very much. Very much.

Or you fell asleep the first time I had to replay it. Not at all. Okay, good.

Good. Barbara, are you going to watch it? Do you have any intentions in doing it?

No, not really. Don't much thing. Overall, I thought it was great.

And I thought it was a little too family-ish style versus the. It's ABC. It's going to be.

I know. That's what I did. It was followed by the Goldbergs, which I also have in my DVR, but have not watched Chad said he was not enjoyed very much.

I'm going to give it another episode. I just, like I told you, they made the fatal flaw of making pretty much every character on their unlikable. Well, it's got Jeff Garland from what I've heard on all accounts.

He's a bit of a, uh, back of the D in real life. So. Uh-huh.

And the, the, the, the chick playing his wife. That doesn't happen in real life. Okay.

I haven't seen it. I couldn't tell you. Oh, you thought about who you all came with.

Yeah. That's a good looking girl to just say it. Yeah.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of Boardwalk Empire that has been renewed for season five. I am two episodes behind. I'll be three episodes behind tonight because I just know I'm going to get caught but I do love that show.

I think this, this season starting off a little bit differently. Speaking of Boardwalk Empire, we want to, I want to say personally. And then I'm going to speak for everybody in the room and if they don't think so then they're wrong.

Congratulations to Bobby Kenna Valley who wins the Emmy for his appearance on Boardwalk Empire. Normally, you would just say Mazel top. But do you know why I point out Bobby Kenna Valley?

Get room in your pocket and put it back in. The great actor Martin Freeman is joining FX version of Fargo. Yes, the Hobbit is moving to into the north.

He's gone from a British accent to, oh, yeah. He will be playing Lester Nigard, who is similar to William H. Macy's character in the film.

And if you haven't seen Fargo, see it once. It's good to watch one. Good movie.

Yeah, I wouldn't watch it more than once, especially if you're given what's happens close to the end. Yeah, but big Oscar published for it. Well, yeah, because it was, it was the Oscar darling that year.

Francis and Thomas, great in that film. We're going to skip one and come back. Bob's burgers.

Also gets renewed for season five. How? That show is going to have the fifth season.

How? Did I miss a meeting? I watch like two episodes.

I mean, I think I know like two or three people that watch this show, but it's been on for four years. Unreal. It doesn't seem like it's been that long.

Russ was asking about the voice. I don't watch the voice. And I think I think my wife's kind of given.

No, my wife was watching it, but I don't know if she saw that particular performance for breathe. And Chad's now boycotting all things singing competition oriented. Yeah, I'm done.

So what do you think about this next story, sir, as we get into our final TV story of the show? Because I'm waiting for the music to start. Because it's a dancer.

Don't know what the one that we skipped or yeah, the only skip that we're going about to you right now. Can they do that? Well, let's talk about it.

NBC is now developing. If you remember the movie Constantine with piano Reeves, which comes from a DC Vertigo comic, they are adapting this for television. I mean, they're they've done Hannibal.

They're doing Dracula. Why not? FX is or Fox is doing Sleepy Hollow.

Which I have no interest in. And I love Orlando Jones. I have no interest in this.

But this looks up your Alibar boy. This Sleepy Hollow. Yeah, watching the trailers and before it came on, and when it came on, I just yeah, I know the story.

There's not a lot of new this season that I really care about. Like Marvel agents, if she would of course end because of what it is. I've got I've got the Michael Jake box on my BBR.

I haven't. I don't even care about that one. I haven't got to see it yet.

Don't you want to say something? Yeah, it's not the first Sleepy Hollow. What'd you think?

It was a bad. That's kind of interesting. I have to have to all watch.

But oh, the one I'm looking for too is American Horror Story 3. Have you seen the commercial stuff? Angela Bassett was on the Arsenio Hall show.

But you know, that's you and Chad more than me. I'm kind of interested in the costume team. I like that.

Yeah. I want to see who they're put in the first. I need to see a cast.

They haven't said what it's going to premiere, but they are going to do it. So there is that. You know what I'm missing.

So I think I'm going to fix it real quick. Well, while you're fixing it, I'll say Kathy Bait. She has that look on the commercials as she did in Missouri.

Kathy Baits is just greatness anyway. I mean, that's beyond this. It's hard to believe that that movie was 23 years ago.

Because I remember that was my senior year in high school when that when that movie came out. And I remember it because, oh, I got this wrong. That's kind of go there.

1990 the year I graduated. Yeah. That was it was during during high school football season.

I senior year. I just I remember I worked the theater. I saw that Steven King was just killing it.

That was a but upset me about that movie though was two huge concepts from the book or even in the movie. Yeah. And that kind of had and they changed the ending.

And that really kind of hacked which which was Queen of the two in the bees was not in the film. Okay. The deputy that looks in the window, that whole scene was in the movie.

Okay. And they changed the ending. Okay.

Because I read the book. I never saw the book. I will say the second one.

Some of there's a scene in the book where a sheriff comes by and sees him. He sees yeah. And she runs him over with the right arm on motor.

Oh, really? Okay. And I'll tell you about the ending off here because I want to give away the last book.

But it's a great book. And especially when you realize he wrote that book while he was in the hospital for surgery, just makes it creepier. Oh, Chad.

It is a section we do on this show where we take a person or an entity and we debate their greatness or lack of their of. The pendulum swings back to Chad this week. Have you come up with something, sir?

Because I know it's something that can be an interesting debate in the room. All right. We'll go ahead and bring it up.

This weekend, baby. I'm going on the 19th. And for those of you that do know, um, we lost our beloved mascot on the last day of the fair last year.

And my wife was there right after it happened with her friends. Our beloved mascot big text burst into flames. How beautiful.

Welcome to the state fair of Texas. That's pretty much how he sounds now, too. But, uh, you guys, I don't know.

Yeah. But they, uh, they rebooted big text. They rolled out big text at this point.

What is it? 4.0? How am I?

I don't know. This is over the second one. I've ever known.

Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I mean, he's he's gone through several revisions. Well, I mean, he considered that he first got to start as a Santa Claus.

Um, yeah, but the one that burned down was the original framework and everything. Yeah. So was this.

I'm just saying the face lifts and overhauls that he's gone through. And the hats have changed. The face has changed.

Um, because like I'm going back in the 70s. He had like a really pointed nose and a, you know, really almost a sombrero looking ass. Yeah.

And it was mainly just like a maroon shirt and in blue jeans and in old school cowboy boots. Yeah. I'm going to let you talk for me because they didn't meet the microphones.

They're just continue talking. Okay. Second.

But, uh, they, they, they, they rolled out this new look for him that just does not look right at all. He's, uh, is it true that his eyes are even animatronic because I find that creepy. Well, they, they said that there are features that they've incorporated into the framework that they weren't able to get ready for the launch this year.

And even a launch itself, and even the launch this year didn't go well because they were going to reveal them on Friday. I actually open, you know, actual opening day. But the winds picked up so bad that the curtain that they had, that they had, that they had strung up around and blew off on Thursday.

Like, well, I guess that face makes. Can he Rogers plastic surgery look normal? He looks like Jerry Jones right after he went under the knife.

Uh, welcome to the state fair. Might as well. It might be big care.

It's and boots up to the knee. Yeah. Now, it seemed like I read something at some point where they said that they were rolling his jeans down.

But they were going to roll his Jeep because so many people said that looks ridiculous because they go up to his freaking knees. He looks like he's, and they're here. Yes.

I mean, his, his legs are huge. His, his upper torso is out of proportion. Does he look like Bubba, Bob ring?

He looks like the, yeah, he looks like the opposite of a Bobble head. He's a Bobble leg. It's like, you're a tall drink of water.

Actually, I am a lab mouse on stills. That's not a bad comparison. I'm serious.

We need really. We need to find a picture of, of, of, of, of the, of Google this. Like the brain.

But, but no, but no, but because the brain's head's always been massive. I'm going to look it up right now. He would actually better if his head was his figure.

He's heavier. He's heavier. And of course, he's fire resistance.

That's the headline. And it cost 500 grand to put this thing together. And he looks awful.

Well, do you see the, it looks like there's more detail. Is he in multiple outfits? No, no, he's, he's, he's had the, since Thursday, he's had that, that, that red white and blue shirt.

Okay, so I am looking at the right, because I see like three different shirts and pictures here. Well, because you're looking at several different iterations of him. But, the, the face that they've got on him just looks completely dead.

Well, look at the picture from him from 56. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah.

Yeah. He was like that up until the seven. Oh, that's the one that I grew up looking at.

But he's 50, real quick. 55 feet tall. Yeah.

55. Yeah. This is a little, I'm going to say, he's definitely more 10.

Yeah. I'm going to agree. A little creepy.

Yeah. A little creepy. Somebody says it looks like somebody's holding him up from behind.

That's, somebody's sticking to gun in his back. Yeah, because he's kind of a bow leg. It didn't mean he's got that look of shock on his face.

And God, the angle that I'm looking at him from right now. It kind of looks like he's got a little gangster when he's doing the heisman. Well, he's always done that.

But, and his arms fully move, right? Not yet. Not yet.

But don't they normally? No, no, no. Like, like, for years, nothing, but his, his chin moved.

That was it. Okay. I never looked that far.

But it's, that's like, oh, it's big text. Like, a few years ago, and Cowboys, these. And a few years ago, they had his, this hand that was up by his chest, not the one that's outstretched, but that would wave, would do like a parade wave.

But they said they're going to incorporate more features into him next year. I'm like, well, how about you get this one right? Make sure you see the diving show.

I've got the best seat in the house for Kelly Rowland next week. I thought, oh, yeah, that is next week. Yeah.

Was it Molly Ringwald this weekend? Did we miss Molly Ringwald? No, it was Molly this weekend.

I know for the next weekend, Friday night is Molly Ringwald Saturday night is Kelly Rowland. And then Sunday night is the Elvis impersonator known as Craig Parker, which is not sure I was dead because it's spelled differently. Let's say name them.

But his his clothes have been sponsored by Biggeys for years. Yeah, because you guys are the big uh, um, emblem three is going to be playing October 14. That's the band from uh, one of those singing.
