coast it is Cinco de Mayo in the year of our Lord 2000 in 19 season one
episode four four times this voice but this week not this face welcomes you to
the cheap podcast so glad to have you with us if you subscribe to the clubhouse
podcast and you're saying yourself wait a minute this doesn't sound like the
show I normally listen to that's because we're hooking you up this week this
week we're gonna give you a special special preview of what the cheap
podcast is all about you may have heard it talked about but now we're gonna give
you the chance to experience it if you haven't yet it's a great show it's not
just because I produce it this is the show that is the spinoff of the clubhouse
podcast where we're gonna talk pro wrestling and pro wrestling only welcome my
name is Rob by the executive producer of the cheap podcast we got a lot of
ground to cover this week kids we are at the home studio this week because
there's some moving and shaking going on over at vocal and they were unavailable
to us this week but we should be back very very soon we love vocal if you're

other side of the home studio and a man who has a new appreciation for
chicken wings and I'm so happy for him he is Alex welcome sir well I wouldn't
call it a new appreciation as much as a return to appreciate I believe your
words at lunch today were new appreciation but okay I may have said new
appreciation but it's not like I never had them before does it try something new
today oh no I I had been off the chicken wings for a long time just based on
getting burnt out on them the return has been glorious yes a very good one
today if I'm not mistaken shout out above is 33 if you want to sponsor the

that one those didn't look very very red though they were they're okay fair enough
good Buffalo soft so because I had it on my mac and cheese very true that is
very flavorful but with it being single to my oh are we gonna have to throw a

that well I am the same hideous Calisto so I'm gonna go with it it's sad that we
don't have the visual today because the joy on Rob's face while shouting
lucha is entertainment her I miss that I miss that it's it's joy it's it's a
good thing I miss the lucha dragons yeah and now it's just sad and let's get
into the week that was in our sports we are headed back to Saudi and about
a month or we're not but the company is we knew Undertaker was going to be a
part of it because he just signed the new deal we find out also Lesnar is
allegedly going to be part of it but somebody's gonna somebody's gonna cut a
check especially the disaster that it was the last time they were out there with
him and added to the bill no pun intended one bill Goldberg however we also have
to point out do you know why they all suddenly cut a check for Bill Goldberg I do
not allegedly he was meeting with a certain NFL family whose name rhymes with
Han that might be in a town that rhymes with Haxonville yes okay fair enough so
apparently the panic ensued and a check cut cut
vids you know vids can say he's not concerned all he wants when you're putting
you're putting Bill Goldberg on the card yeah and I like Bill don't get
wrong big fan of Goldberg always have been but this is not a guy that needs
this this is a guy this guy enough irons on a fire that he doesn't have to do
this I to be perfectly honest I was always one of the getting oldberg crew on
there but I also understand he's a recognizable name oh no I'm not going for the
rim shot on that oh you're getting it oh you're getting it but at the same time
everyone of his matches was the same every one of his matches 173 and oh
174 all the exact same
doc and I will be watching a lot of the professional fighters league now for a while
they have a new cage announcer is now involved I'm assuming because I
doesn't she live in Vegas now I don't know I think that's what she was saying on
her podcast and that's I mean that's good for her because I'm sure they do their
events in Vegas and she doesn't have to travel yeah so shout out to William Garcia
and your June paper view into coma Washington now stomping grounds are we
gonna have a round or stomping ground I think it's ground we're gonna have to
look at are we gonna have some step teams come out I was gonna say this stop is
stomping to be there to you know I'll be great that would actually be really
cool have an extreme rules match with the crew from stop well we have to also
understand that extreme rules I mean I'm in regular rules can I have the
checkbook please I'm in on this I am fully endorsing this I I I'm okay with
them doing an opening after that just get off my TV it's nothing you get off
my lawn dude how no no that's how weird would that be they don't talk about at
all of a sudden here's the crew from stomping they do 10 minutes and then there's
nothing mentioned of it again yeah or even better they just every time graves
tries to go on one of his diatribe Michael Cole just leads them out behind him it's
the they're the Conway 20 of WWE ladies and gentlemen or even even if we
go back to the old school stop if some of the wrestlers would actually do a
stop routine I know there are some female fans that would enjoy it if it was
done right that isn't that is on core magic we have a distinct problem with
that though because your number one pick for that would be Biggie who probably
won't be able to stop at that point yeah he's not ready yet as Kevin Owens
to demonstrate for us on Smackdown live yeah Biggie was not the image I was
thinking of he could stop with the best of them but he was not the image for
the female fans I was thinking of speaking of giving me the book in the
checkbook for a year raw hits an all-time non holiday low this week now we have
to say non holiday because back in the day if it was a holiday week and they
gave the the personalities the week off like let this past year they just
pre-taped because the holidays run Monday but they wouldn't even do a show
sometimes it would be like a recap show sometimes just a talking head show it
would basically be main event don't over right pretty much but yeah it wasn't a
good show I'm not gonna lie I mean I got notes but it ain't much I got a few but
it's mostly why am I watching us more superstar shake of thought as the good
brothers now on raw I it's Rogers deciding that they're just gonna own the tag
team division now I think that's what they're going with I I genuinely think
that they're doing two things move all the tag teams over because those
matches tend to last longer and fill more time and number two get the people
who can talk best on raw to fill more time by speaking so it's smack down
are you gonna focus that on 205 live I guess I mean you're just you have
central Alexander on raw and then buddy Murphy on Smackdown so that's not even
pushing it yeah and what what happened to us keeping couples together who did we
split buddy Murphy and Alexa Bliss well but they're not married the just was
if they're if you're married Zalina Vega and Andrade thank you very much are
not a couple oh that's her and Alster Black correct who is also on Smackdown
Charlotte and Andrade right who are now on the same one big but they're not
married but that comes with a flare perspective well you can't move on
drony without Zalina nobody to understand what he's saying we'll talk about
that in a minute yes we will and congratulations to Naomi this past week she was
inducted into the boys and girls club Hall of Fame which I think is a big that's a
big deal oh it absolutely is she is one of their success stories so she is
absolutely one of the children who has grown up and made something coming out
of a certain areas mm-hmm so congratulations her I mean seeing the pictures from
that event like she could not have been happier and I could be happier for
yeah so let's talk raw opening shot of raw Sasha Banks signed the crowd yeah
that was strange interesting did you see the picture that Bailey put up this
week of the original look for the the coins on the tag belts it was the
Bailey face okay with with the ponytail and the Sasha Banks glasses I thought
that was the no they had their individuals on each side oh okay it wasn't the
combined Boston hug connection okay I did see that because they did do that on
a shirt yes and then that was originally what was supposed to be the coins on
the belts that would have been such a better move and she put that on Instagram
and Sasha commented can I come over yeah and and Bailey was like you're
welcome anytime yeah I love you Sasha Banks but let's let's get you
head right especially with the iconic being booed out of the building but I
think that's great that feeds them in my opinion yeah but the problem is is
there's a difference between people like I really don't want to watch this or
I hate this and people are they I don't want to watch this I think they're
hating because everybody hates um now there's also that for you I love the
Usos I'm with you I'm a big fan of the Usos also on that why are we trying to
turn their intro into our truth I have that exact same note of Usos doing the
archery this made me angry this anger to me and you know you would not like me
when I'm angry yeah yeah yeah and then they lead into what they led into with
the revival but we're gonna get to that in a minute of lastly now referring to
himself in the third person which means we know now that he's trying to do that
but he hasn't been speaking it was bad like I need Leo rush to get his head
right because let me explain come a couple of things to Leo rush I respect Leo
rush I remember watching him on the what's that tournament they do top
prospect I remember watching him in the top prospect or a man R.O.H. whatever's
going on there it is not for me to say I am not on the inside I couldn't tell
you but where there's smoke there's fire so Leo rush get your head right well
and there's two sides and get your head right with whomever you need to get it
right with right because do I believe that that you deserve money for merch
that's got your catchphrase on it I absolutely do but by the same token it is
not your place to cause waves right now right because there's a reason you
ain't wrestling there's a reason that you're somebody's sidekick there's also a
reason you ain't on TV exactly so whatever this is because again I like the guy
he's a great heel oh yeah let's get this figured out let's get this worked out
so we can get this thing back to abnormal because I feel like this is one of
those classic there's three sides to the story oh absolutely there's the
companies and there's somewhere yeah it's just a truth um and we still have
Dominic involved with Ray I'm telling you no good can come from this especially
if you're feuding with Joe but there's a real problem with this just why do
you know one big problem that I have why does Dominic look like the illegitimate
son of sergeant slaughter I haven't looked into it that deeply oh no no you
look at it he's got a chin that goes for about a country mile and I feel like we
need to put an over under on the number of times they're going to do the
handslap bro hug thing in one episode and isn't it
traditional the father's supposed to pick up the son but he's so much bigger he
just cradled him Dominic is a horse I mean that's a big kid but it's a big kid
I mean but not he's like a big kid he's a well-built kid right and I think
there will come a day that he'll be good in this business but we ain't even
close yet right but the other aspect is he's already like a foot and a half
taller than his dad yeah but my fur balls are a foot and a half taller than his
dad that's also fair remember you have you must be this tall the
wrestle card angle but he is about the right size to be sergeant slaughter's
kid that's fair so let's talk about the revival segment now first but I don't
want to talk about the backstage segment because that's
that's 1987 coming back again
but why was it that we do we bring out Hawkins and Rider we bring out the
revival we go to break and then we do the make a wish thing and then we go
back to the ring that was uncomfortable that was a totally wrong order to do
that absolutely like they should have done would done all of that before they
brought them out because you just broke the whole momentum of the match you were
fixing a half it was it was a great segment yeah I enjoyed watching that but it
just broke the entire momentum of that segment right you get geared up for the
match and then all of a sudden it's oh we're not there unless there was a set
time within the that it had to happen I can't think of why they would I know that
I just say yeah I think somebody screwed the pooch on the run down is what
happened oh we forgot to do this we have to do is do it right now no it's after
the match was weird slowest Rey Mysterio pin ever oh god it took him a full 15
seconds to get that pin I didn't time it and I may be exaggerating but for him to
get Joe into a point where he could get the pin
yeah I mean granted I wasn't fully involved in that match anyway but any
involvement I had was done but at the same time it's
almost comedic how much Joe sells when anything goes wrong god bless Joe
and AJ in the contract signing which I guess now he's heel
ish he says the universal championship was the reason he came to raw I have a
question didn't that decision get made for him
isn't that with the superstar shakeups all about that's the point but they're
selling it like it's a choice in different ways yeah but it what it's not
supposed to be it's like a draft the only thing I could think that could be good
with this thing we're playing for the browns is the only reason I came to the
browns you didn't make that choice yeah god bless you Baker may feel but I'm
telling himself and still a fan that he did the riders up at the derby so yeah but
at the same time the only way this works is you get the club back together
let them run heel and have Seth Rollins be the foil for that
that's the only way this works well I mean Roman says he's he's going to be
on a roll tomorrow night yeah apparently a desperate attempt to try and boost
ratings even though the company saying he's not oh I think that's I think they're
just fueling the fire of Roman it's your new stone cold
because it worked with Becky somehow it's because Becky's great and I like
I like Roman but the problem that we're having
is Roman and the monster push yes and to me it doesn't matter if I like you I like
you that's why I've never had a problem with Cena right because yes does he get
a monster push every nanosecond he's on television
absolutely but that's not my decision to make I'm not going to boo a guy just
because the company's going to put them on or put it put itself on somebody's
back I'm gonna boo a guy because I don't like him yeah but they're trying to
shoehorn this stone cold angle that works so well
multiple times for them and it's basically going back to the Roman versus the
authority 2.0 assuming it's not 3.0 depending on your angle
but there's also speaking of angle go ahead I'm sorry
yeah but there's also this aspect of you're asking fans not to boo but
at the same time they booed hard enough or cheered hard enough
that they got co-feed about okay there's aspects where they get loud enough
that it goes and there's a thing I want to touch on going back to the
lashley segment real quick okay how many times does Shane O'Mac have to come
out and be a void of talent and people chanting CM Punk louder than anything
else gets chanted before they realize this is a bad idea
we get it by taking shots with the best in the world with your least talented
performer I wouldn't say he's the least talented I would I wouldn't say he's a
top of this who's worse than Shane right now
worse than Shane right now of the man I mean you're you're gonna put me on the
spot but there are but there are guys that are definitely not
that don't have if nothing else the selling talent that Shane has
I don't think he has the selling talent he just basically old man turtles
he shimmies he shakes and he falls off stuff that's it
he doesn't know how to throw a working punch he doesn't throw a working kick well
the only thing he's done well is when Andrade told him how to do a back elbow
and that's as close as you get everything else is garbage from the man
he could he could cut up he used to be able to cut a promo he sells now only his gimmick
is the fact that he can't say anything he sells I've kind of issues with Shane O'
oh he's terrible I don't have a problem but speaking of angles Kurt angle new five-year deal
with the company says he undertaker isn't it but he says that he would rather he
wants to be backstage producing and working with any talent which I'm totally okay with
he's Kurt angle cough son
Kurt angle can do whatever he wants I'm good with it that man gets a pass with me for life
I just don't ever want to hear broken freaking neck again

let's see here Jeff Hardy now out for up to nine months he underwent successful surgery this weekend
did they ever confirm what ligament it was I think I saw knee what's a knee but which part
of the ligament I don't know the eye is a specific as I've seen all right uh Charlotte Flair
get ready in three actually yeah three weeks she will be driving the pace car for the
Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Charlotte at Charlotte in the Queen City
that's got to be fun man oh yeah I want I'm gonna put out the universe I want to drive the
pace car at a race I don't care if it's like the the uh I don't care if it's you know the
racing school bus is like we mentioned last week I want to get it's the Pinewood Derby I want to
drive the pace car oh that'll be amazing this at box cars that's right I'm in let's see Daniel
Bryan has been medically clear to return to the ring yes he has so there was a lot of
scareiness to that he's another one every time he's in the ring yeah I fear for Daniel Bryan
yeah but it's so great let's get on a Smackdown live apparently colds on this show now

Michael Cole we I've said this on the show before I respect you I I after the McAfee story I will
never talk badly about you again except at WrestleMania but you did apologize to that so I'm
gonna let that one slide I did like the way uh Seth put it at the end of raw though yeah that was
the house that you built yeah that's Michael Cole that's not Tom Phillips let's see where are we
in the notes here uh for those you're keeping track the beat team is now heel are they though they
were doing the bidding Shane McMahon that makes you heal and uh some somehow the shave your shave
his back chant survived an entire day but if you watched after Andrade came out and he cut his promo
they really shouldn't have that camera on Orton because Orton as he was turning around and I
because I can read lips yeah Orton as he was turning on what did he just say yeah easy Randall

can bring a technical part to it that they've needed at that table for a long time and before you
feel bad for Percy Watson he does work 205 live and they're talking about expanding his repertoire
there good to essentially educate him on being a bigger color commentator I'm not a huge Percy
Watson fan but I believe in what he's capable of yes absolutely uh let's see Killian Dane
now that Sanity is no more he's actually going back to do America NXT with his tag team partner
now going to NXT UK right Alexander Wolf but he's going back to America NXT because he's an American
he's not American though I don't know uh there will be an NXT takeover but they've moved it
up to June 1st right and there's rumors that it's going to be I believe they said Indiana
uh but they they call McAfee that's kind of what I'm thinking they're going baby but at the same time
there's no confirmation of where it's going to be at this point speaking of baby yes
just keep an eye on our on our video shows in the next few weeks yes
told him saying also NXT is going to be in town June 22nd because I've got more weekends
that are filling the summer is coming back for revenge it really is and uh you know we've got
we've got that coming up we've got the G1 supercard coming up we've got Raw coming up this summer
Ragnarok which I've had an idea for that I'm still flushing out that I'm very excited if we
actually can pull this off I did just realize something though that's everything in a span of
like three to four weeks yeah oh wow but I've also got Grace D playing at the profit bar June 14th
I've got hoodie and bear naked ladies the next night you know it's it's going to be a nutso
if you survive this summer I'll be surprised make it the big of through my birthday we can
I think we'll be okay at least because then my birthday week also is Stranger Things Season 3
I got to figure that out too because we got to have Robin Maddie's weekend of fun right so
some NXT notes where are we going with I'm just going to call them di donovan die jack because I
die jack a cova vitch and Stein I don't do this donovan die jack I'm leaving it there I'm not
doing it I mean at least he had a match that was longer than 20 seconds it's a good match but the
whole feast your eyes thing he's been doing that for all it's a little weird still a little weird for
me um kind of gutsy parodying the national anthem that was Stranger on its own level I'm
there going whoa I felt like they could have done that better just from a delivery standpoint but
that kid's a monster he's the dream absolutely and that crowd was singing but here's the other
part though if you remember the iconic photo of everybody saluting some kids pants that was him
that was him at a wrestling tournament he was the one in the stars and stars and bars or stars
wearing the angle pants wearing the angle pants yet the auto mix oh dear uh I do love how the
undisputed era leaves the WWE hologram stickers on their shirts I don't know why that's so funny
to me but I thought the way they did that that set where it looked like they were just like in the
back of a semi right that was kind of cool yes it was it looks neat it works these are the same
guys who have had to cut promos like that for how many years on the Indies but let me ask you this
though okay the way that promo unfolded uh-huh are we gonna have fish and Roddy and a tag team
are we breaking up red dragon we better not because we already had Roddy and O'Reilly
and I want red dragon but I have this funny feeling like it's a different member that gets
booted than you had predicted it's the where they're I'm intrigued with where they're going with
these guys well what I'm saying is is think about this if nothing else they have been
borrowing I'm saying that gently from other companies for things like that what was your big
American break for bullet club baby and Cody no because baby and they didn't cross over you had
so baby and Omega you had Marty Skirl betraying baby to then quote unquote kill him
okay and become the pseudo third person with the bucks I'm gonna go with that I'm calling it
right now I'm going against your grain and saying Adam Cole's getting kicked out of undisputed
era oh I don't know about that I know it's not gonna work that well for them but they're gonna
do it I just want them to get that I would like to see them get rid of Roddy and I'll tell you
who I just I think deserves the push to feud with them is the forgotten sons I do think that but
those guys are just floundering in a mid card that they have not earned let's let's put a pin in
that because there is some stories coming out of the NXT tapings this past Wednesday which I don't
want to know I know you don't want to know but I'm saying you'll get your answer soon enough okay
so kushita had his first NXT match this week underwhelming first of all that was a bad match for him
yes it was I expected better because they faced off before there will never be a day that seeing
Chris hero doesn't just it's jarring because I know who that man used to be well you know what he
needs to be is he needs to be the dude at this point I almost said I almost threw out spoiler out there
yeah no he needs to just walk around with a white Russian going well that's just your opinion dude
that rug pulls the whole room together does that carry a rug and a white Russian to the ring
like I like Chris hero I cash us oh no I can't again it's oh no no no to me although there are
comparisons there but that's a bad whale joke yes it is that was just a bad choice because like
oh no can wrestle yeah the dude can wrestle that match would have been great 10 years ago
absolutely because I like to cheat boy his trumps are a lot simpler now aren't they a little bit
geez Louise but like kushita did everything he couldn't that match absolutely and I could have
dealt less back to the future references more or no I love you but let's tap the break just a
little bit that's also kushita's bit I understand that but for Nigel to say he had 1.21 gigawatts
of power let's let's tap the break just a little bit I get where they're going with it and
oh no did not sell that hurricane rana as well at all no at all well he also outweighs him by
what 150 pounds I think you're being conservative I am moving on rich swan has signed a two-year deal
with impact is that because when they're homeless any money's good money while he was our
exhibition champion for a while he still looks homeless I'm not saying that he doesn't especially when
you sign a two-year dump and deal with a company that does a TV taping and filling that draws 200
to 250 fans yeah that's not that's real that's not an average that's an actual number like even
ROH would go but there's also the added benefit that that's where his wife is yeah whatever
the fact that somebody's married to him surprises so the global fight network is that what they
called that thing that they were on global force global force no that's not the the app what
that's not what the app was called yeah I thought it was global force no I think it was it was
something because global force was Jarrett's company oh look it up but it's now called impact plus
are you streaming service for seven ninety nine a month you can also pay seventy two dollars for a
year the global wrestling network is what it used to be I'm sorry I just I need a way to be able to
watch impact and not pay for it more than I'm already paying and I can't you know that's what I
don't like about fight TV fight TV will let me watch it but I have to be by my computer at six
p.m. on a Friday I got a life to lead Cha Cha yeah you should be happy I want to watch this show
at all and I think they've blown their entire budget just to get great Moota to do a special with them
and that dude can still go yes move it great Moot is great then a fan of that dude for 30 years
that was a great spot for the super card mm-hmm was that the best big ring entrance gear we saw
all that weekend there were some pretty good ones at that show I'm pretty sure Moota took top
them though and I'm talking about are always with their G1 super card recap episode oh Lord
Chris Jericho will be challenging Okata for the IWGP title next month a dominion
very interesting because they said they wouldn't do dealings with anybody from
AEW but but isn't that but technically isn't there a loophole there because Jericho's got the
sweetheart deal that they all have that okay but that just is new Japan was like we're not
even gonna entertain it well there's a little thing called the G1 29 climax that starts right here
in Dallas Texas oh that deserves better than a rim shot no would you know my sister's gonna hear
that she's gonna start getting one so I had to do something well that's why I had to anyways
but apparently the tickets are not selling as well as they had hoped initially so they did start
revealing wrestlers earlier than they ever have for a mid summer climax so what we have
is a situation where they may be starting to expand into well these guys move the needle maybe
we need to have them included in the climax I'm gonna do that every time I know that's why
I went for it third time's charm I need a shower and you said expand too so
Ta-da Hashi announces this week he's gonna be returning to the ring June 5th
all right that puts him a month ahead of the climax but that's um I'm not doing it again
but that's but isn't that isn't Dominion June 1st I believe it's that night is it June 5th
I'm gonna look it up that's a Wednesday yeah but it's Japan yeah that's fair remember they always
do their wrestle kingdoms on the first uh it's a Thursday yeah no it's not a Thursday it's always
on the 4th okay no matter what it is we have announced that over that best friends will be part
of the over the budget battle royale mm-hmm I can't wait for this show oh I'm so pumped
do we still mad that I'm not there but do we figure out is that Friday or Saturday or Sunday
uh that Saturday so Saturday okay so we'll have to grace these playing that way that day
but it'll be during the day okay so we'll be able to pack up on the next rowlet show yes that's
our show out in rowlet for the uh veterans outreach rowlet benefit very much which there may be
another band playing with us that day I'm in talks with our friends from wildfire collective
oh nice to play with us that day so well we're gonna find we're gonna lock that down this week
we'll do a couple let's do a couple of ROH notes and then I want to get back to uh something
uh before we move on yeah the show is actually June 9th so it's four days before
okay so that's a Sunday how do you do that it's one of the things I can do
because I know that who he's the 15th 14th which means the Sunday's the 15th which means
the Sunday before that would be the 8th ladies and gentlemen are host of the right man
oh the 9th yeah the 9th this would be a Tuesday because the 2nd would be a Sunday

the preferences and sin car can still work even though I'm calling him sin car and coach car
now uh even though that match of the briskos was a bit of a mess I feel like I feel like
problem I feel like he really can still work I like both of those guys I thought they did a great
job I just think their style not brawler enough for the briskos because what I like about the briskos
is they can work multiple styles yes but I think they were trying to work a brawl style with
a lucha style it just didn't work for me I like both all four the guys in that in that match I'm
huge fans of absolutely especially since one of them provided a great moment on the cruise for you
hey no they both did I also I made a decision last night the next time Donna noise me by the way
Don out on assignment today but at the next time Don noisy I'm gonna threaten to change his ring
tone to cheeseburger steam music I will say I liked the physicality of that match some of the
not necessarily wrestling moves that took place but some of the others that shows the strength
and the training that goes into this sport both both those teams very very good yes and what was it 19
year old kid that was teaming with is that how it was they said he was really young but some
braia junior junior was really good very nice flare on that sir you're welcome and it only made
it the right name it definitely made it for the square dancing I was watching beforehand why were
you watching square dancing a stylist young and Jonathan Grisham there was a whole bunch area in
the middle where it was almost like they were you know I'm gonna give that I'm gonna give that to her
I'm gonna give her points for that I like that match the square dance match I do get great
we're turning just to know women in the ropes and get those they were doing the hip flip and it's
like they're square dancing or do we call him Bobby Roode I don't know Robert Roode I'm taller than
him I'm just saying Robert Roode with a ponytail can I taste how how demoralizing that was on a
certain level to realize I'm taller than silas young like I need I need the last real man
professional wrestling to be taller than me I do we've already established me out well we've
already established the last real man's gonna be shorter the last true man will be taller and I'm
taller than Jay leafles weird so let's talk about probably what I think might be the most
intriguing story that pertains to our to our sport this week okay as we know we are now two
weeks into the Fox Disney merger being official and we're gonna talk about this on both shows tonight
oh yes because this is major but part of the deal was Disney could not hold on to the Fox sports
regional sports networks because it was because it would have been a monopoly when you put ESPN
date to it now they get FS one yes but they don't get the regional networks correct
all 31 of them are getting why did I think there was more than that the 31 was the number I read
are getting bought for 10.6 billion dollars with a B with a B by Sinclair Broadcasting now why
that pertains to this particular show is because Sinclair Broadcasting is also the company that owns ROH
and distributes ROH here locally on channel 47 or 52 depending on the day what that does for me
personally as a subscriber to direct TV now which I can't watch ROH except if it's on the app and
I'm a week behind right I now have the opportunity to maybe watch ROH when I'm supposed to watch it
because with my package with direct TV now I get Fox Sports Southwest actually that would apply to
pretty much anybody listening to this well but some of them it's a sports package some of
me it's standard to put my point is everybody has that greater access than a Sinclair Broadcasting
channel so I am very intrigued by this yes if it works out how we hope yeah I mean that we got
a pump the brakes just a little got to put something on there they've been doing it for years as
you have to ask what licensing does that come with right because I mean granted the mergers
already gone through and we were we were when you and I were having lunch at Bubba's 33 today free
plug sponsored the show they we were watching Fox Sports Southwest we were watching the Ranger game
we were watching multiple Fox Sports not just Fox Sports Southwest specifically right but what I'm
saying is is there were multiple Fox Sports and what I'm saying is is that there are more options
in various locations which would expand essentially your market ability I mean it's a billion dollar
company but why would you not want to expand as far as you can I agree general many thoughts from you
on this I you know I'm still the root cute girl so I just have my few small apps so a whole lot
of this is hard for me to access I'd rather there be one place I could subscribe to where I could
get my impact my new Japan my NXT my RAW my ROH versus having to have a whole bunch of different
ones to subscribe to does Fox Sports have an app I know I know Fox Sports in general I don't know
that it does streaming I would be curious to look into that for next week just to see if there's
a possibility that you have ROH for their record keeping Fox Sports and what are they going to
rename it that's what I'm interested that's it will it be Sinclair Sports Southwest that sounds way
to pompous SPS w which sounds like a really high protection from the sun
rim shot I'm here to myself I'll come a lot since I've burned so easily in the sun I liked it
I think that's I mean that's all I've got this week not very slow week in our sport but a
little lot going on well we're in that low of the post super shows of the beginning of April and
into May and we're through the fallout we're starting to get to the ramp up of what's coming next
because you look at it the next major shows with all due respect to money in the bank and it's
boring card are you I'm sorry no seriously could anybody be more like underwhelmed by the participants
in the ladder matches for the contract I could not care less like I feel like they're obvious
at this point and and see I branched out and watched some other things I hadn't seen before I did
World's Collide and X to UK and I found some new wrestlers that I want to know more about
like who the UK does great work I really liked Piper she's the next to UK and she was in both
she was in both worlds collide and then the next to UK and I really liked her and then I also
um guide last name of riddle he's got riddle bro bro bro he did really well and then at the end of
that one it was a strong versus bait or versus bait and that thing that was really impressive the
two of them at the end my problem with worlds collide is there taking too long to air it yes
because that that tapes WrestleMania week yes but they're just now releasing it which is the
problem for me I would have for somebody like you who's still learning the sport and then trying
to get as that the kids like to say get on my level I wish I wish you could have seen that more
timely yes okay it's not something I blame you for not your fault but this is the problem we have
with the network is the first world collide they did the weekend of the rumble and they didn't
air it until almost whatever that's almost fast like a weekend oh wow yeah it was crazy yeah
and see that's another reason why I'd like there to be a wrestling channel that the problem is
that they'd have to work together and it's never gonna happen but if we're putting you know
utopia is out there why can't I put my utopia out there no you can fantasy book it in the problem
that it's just the problem is we'd all love to see that but that's what they're also trying to
what the original plan for all elite allegedly was which was getting new Japan ROH uh
major league wrestling all these companies working together under one banner which I think they still
can and I realize you may have to have you know one or two subscriptions but that beats having
to have five or six just to get wrestling I have a stupid question which is my problem in general
there is no stupid question if you ask the question did you get to see Matt Riddle's entrance for a
match bro yeah again I don't know what it is about it but the I was not in my head kick the
slide kick just tickles me every time I see it he I just I truly enjoyed that um but he was the
guy on the indies for a while before he signed with uh with the company there were there were two
girls in the world's collide that I didn't care for there somehow related Vanessa and Alyssa
Aliyah oh yeah they're attacking yeah they're attacking actually yeah I'm well they're
associated yes that high squeal girly pitch of frustration does not belong in wrestling
why not just like there's no crying in baseball that I'm a pretty pretty princess and I didn't
get what I wanted so I'm going to do the high pitch for your that's a heel bit though yeah I mean
you look at Alexa's doing the same kind of thing you have the iconics now have belts doing
the same kind of thing it's worked definitely the career I understand I understand doing the
princess fit of not getting their way it's the four-year-old squeal that goes with it that just
but it's worked multiple times for the company you may not like it but it's worked yeah so at the
same time you have to pivot it on the same level of this annoys me but at some point that's kind
of what they're going for yeah and it maybe it's just the women's divisions equipment of I got
till five yeah it's it's the heel thing yeah and and maybe it's I've just seen it in like bars
and F when one girl doesn't like what another girl says or looks at her man and it's just
so you're saying it's a realistic moment though well it's a kind of like the Bianca Blair
Mia Yim moment I'm gonna say this but we're not gonna take it any further okay it's a fake
realistic moment well kind of like the Bianca Blair yeah so you what the interesting thing with that
is so you have Keith Lee and Montez Ford on opposite ends of that as well fair enough and they're
supposed to be working together all right we're gonna take a quick break before we get on to
