So, updates from corrections from last week.
There is a Sausa tequila and a tequila suarez, but I don't think suarez tequila is actually
a thing, because I tried to Google it and couldn't find anything.
Every NBA team that did not make the playoffs goes into the draft lottery.

So it's every team.
The worst team gets 11 of the 66 ping pong balls, and then it only applies to the first
three picks.
Right.
That's how that works.
The pre-show tonight is actually two hours, but USA is only carrying the second hour.
That's why we're on so early, because we're trying to get as much of tonight's show done,
so that we can try to watch the pre-show as much as we can.
This is a new policy we're instituting that Doc and I had a big conversation about.
We want to get the pre-show done so we can watch the pre-show, and we're not having to
figure out what's going on in the other room.
Oh, you selfish fans wanting us to be on here right now.
Sheesh.
But now how things are going to work from money in the bank forward as logistics we're
still trying to figure out because next week, why this is a bittersweet episode is this
is the last time for the foreseeable future.
The professional wrestling will be linked to the clubhouse podcast starting next week with
the fallout of WrestleMania.

it kicks off next Sunday.

We already have a title for the first episode regardless of what happens.
And it will be a theme in how we're going to name the episodes at least for the first few.

So let's get into it.
The week that was in our sport, I want to start with last Sunday night.
I got a text from Chad on Monday morning, and he asked me if I'd seen the John Oliver
last week tonight with John Oliver, and I hadn't because last Sunday we were doing our
show and then I got home and I got to get up to 5 in the morning now, so it's a little
bit different.
But he said Vince is going to go crazy, and I was like, oh dear, what did John Oliver
do?
So I got home.
I ended up watching it Tuesday evening, because I had no, I did, I watched it Monday night
because I was actually home to watch Raw.
So for those of you that don't know, John Oliver has a show on HBO, it's called Last Week
Tonight with John Oliver, and he always has, he has a mini segment, and then he has his
main topic, and sometimes he has a tertiary segment, but not all the time.
The main segment on last week's show, which of course was auspiciously timed, was about
the WWE.
And so I was kind of prepared going in that I figured that's what that was, given what
Chad had texted me.
And I watched it, and people have been asking me my thoughts on it, and I said, well you
know, I'm going to hold off until Sunday night, because we'll talk about it on the show,
as anybody not seen it, that's in the studio.
Everybody else has seen this, okay.
So here's my thing, to the uninitiated of the business, I could understand how this
would be a, a revelation to people.
But if you have a rudimentary knowledge of the business, nothing in that episode was
shocking at all.
And I love John Oliver, I have watched every episode of that show, I am a huge fan.
I did not lose any respect for him, because I didn't, I mean, I felt like some of it was
a little, a little much.
But again, this is a guy that I don't think is well initiated into the business, because
if he had been, he'd be like, we don't even need to do this.
The other thing I noticed about that one though is, because I am with you on the John
Oliver bandwagon, we'll call it, none of his footage seemed to pull from anybody else
involved in the company, and he's usually trying to be at least on both sides while having
an angle.
Well, the newest footage he had was WrestleMania 32, and all that was, no, that was way
earlier than that.
No, I'm talking about the footage of Shane jumping off the cage.
That was the most recent footage he had.
So you're already three years behind.
But what did he say on there that was not true, not one thing, everything he said was
true, everything.
But what about it was shocking, to some people who don't know the business, it's shocking.
As I said, in my thing is, I guarantee you, the WWE will ban those signs.
They see one John Oliver thing, they're going to take those signs.
They're known for that.
I have not read any reports all week of any John Oliver signs at any of the shows.
Because the other argument is you're at WrestleMania, which is the show filled with wrestling fans
because you don't spend that much if you're not.
So at the same time, nobody in that crowd is going to be surprised by the report.
Now the other aspect is Miz had a really good counterpoint when he went on a local news
broadcast, talking about that is true in a lot of aspects that he said.
But the modern medical system that they have in place with doctors that has been called
into question does have a lot of regular performers covered with insurance.
But a lot of them don't get it still in their independent contractors who can't go
out.
But here's my thing.
Here's my thing.
I'll say it's got better, it has got better than from stay with me, stay with me.
Using the term independent contractor, I think is misleading.
Because if I am an independent contractor, this means I work for you and I have the
option to work for you and I have the option to work for you.
They are not independent contractors.
They are contractors because their contract states they work for WWE.
So to call them independent contractors, I think is misleading.
But that's the status that they use under the codes.
But they sign it.
They know what they sign.
I know.
Now you've got these guys that will do work for ROH and they'll do work for these other
things, but those companies have agreements with each other.
If they were true independent contractors, they could work for whoever they want, but
they would only charge that company for the work they do for them.
But they're using that independent contractor status to hire them, but won't let them
be independent contractors and that's the point he's trying to make.
They're just a dedicated, calling them independent contractors is wrong.
They are contractors, they're not independent contractors.
You're mixing the tax code rules with the job title.
Right, right.
And that's why that part of it to me has always been misleading.
If I'm an independent contractor, I can do work for whoever I want for as long as I
want and I can work for multiple people at one time.
They're not independent contractors.
They are contractors.
Regardless of that, Vince has enough money to offer a health insurance to everybody.
But how do you get rich by not spending money?
They know what they sign up for.
It's not like Vince goes, oh yeah, by the way, they know what they signed up for.
They know how the business works.
None of these people are coming to WWE, not knowing anything.
And a lot of them are actually assisted in finding insurance if it's not provided through
the company.
My brother was a pro athlete for many, many years, played professional golf.
He did.
And while he had to sign, he was under agreement for all these tournaments that he was
in.
He still had to find his own insurance, had to do everything on his own, travel expenses.
He had to front from money, which is the nature of being a contractor.
Right.
But he agreed.
He knew he knew the deal.
He was involved with the PGA and he knew what he was getting into beforehand.
Not granted.
It's not like they're getting concussions in the PGA, but still, it was all signed out
and written out.
And that's what was going on with that.
It's also part of the reason why these athletes get paid, what they get paid, is because
of some of these expenses.
In some cases, yes, because in some cases, they actually have things like travel and accommodations
no negotiated into that contract.
Correct.
It's something that can be negotiated.
Correct.
I mean, depending on the performance.
I mean, the worst they can do is say, no, we won't accept those terms if you want
to work for us.
These are the terms you have to follow, but everything's negotiable.
But they know going in, they need to budget for those things if they have the right people
in their corner, talking in their ear.
L.A.
Which I feel is the main reason why you see certain superstars get that type of treatment
versus others.
And the only way you can keep that maintained is by keeping that independent contract.
I just, I don't want to call it irresponsible journalism.
But I think they could have done a little bit more research because you're showing the
footage of Austin, hitting McMahon with the, with the, with the, with the bedpan, the,
the footage of rock hitting Vince with the garbage can lead.
Like talk about the business now.
The footage of him being interviewed by Arming Catan, that was 2010.
Right.
And that was even before the Bob Costas thing, which was at least newer than that.
That, that is where I was, I was a bit disappointed with the way that was reported.
Because there's so much things that you can talk about in the business.
And WWE even said, well, come on down to WrestleMania.
We'll give you the grand tour.
We have nothing to hide.
Yeah, I, I feel like there should have at least been a segment where they at least admit
they tried to talk to somebody, but WWE said, you know what?
If you want to come in and see how everything is, then we'll work with you.
There was a time that yes, the business was sliny and things of that nature.
But you can't, you can't be like, oh, all these wrestlers are dying.
Well, it's because the 80s was a completely different time in the business.
And the way you treated the business was different.
Ask Flair.
Copain's one hell of a drug.
Yes sir.
The medical industry itself, let alone, I mean, let's agree, agree.
But look at what's cured now versus didn't even, yeah.
And there's a point though, his big point is, you can give health insurance to all the people that work in Stanford at the home office.
Why not give it to all the people that work out?
Because they are WWE employees.
I don't think you can do it, but even by law, he doesn't have to.
You can, you have enough money.
But again, Don, how do you become rich?
You become rich by not paying money.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, he is using the right word.
He's saying he can, they won't, they won't.
Yeah, and that's the point he's trying to make, and that's why he got the clover piece, which I think he deserved.
And you talk about Miss saying, hello, he had a good life and all that.
He's the one, two, five, ten percenters.
You get a lot of people like you there, even today, in the use of the exciting guys who hadn't been on TV in months.
But, no, no, no, no, no, no.
What I said is, it's not true that if this business is still today,
you do what he's been allowed to do, but it makes you right.
Everybody be cool.
He's a, he's a, you were lying, he just had he didn't agree with you.
Right, and it is with citing guys that haven't been on TV, guys like, I mean,
Linsei Dorado, who is bottom 1% of the company, still getting coverage.
But yeah, you're right, that's, absolutely, absolutely right on the point.
Absolutely he could, but if he doesn't have to buy law then we can't fault him for not doing it
It's that's a moral issue versus a legal issue. I'm not saying I agree with it
But Vince is not doing anything outside the lodge in Rome yet at the same time these people that sign these contracts
They know the terms absolutely they know going in this is not being offered to them
It never has been it probably never will be so they have the choice to go into this industry or not go in this industry
so
You know if they've got a problem with it then they can take action. I just I wish they had done a little bit more digging
But they probably threw this together because it was the week before WrestleMania and nobody would be watching it tonight
And the next week's Game of Thrones so all bets are off. You're right. He's done better pieces where he's much more prepared and things were done

So last night was the Hall of Fame and the G1 supercard
It was a lot holy mackerel. We had a lot going on
Hall of Fame was a little bit different this year. There was no podium on the stage the podium was in the ring

Because what better way to try to attack a superstar than a vent or the entire roster surrounds the ring
Apparently first person to get a hold of the guy was Travis Brown Ronda Rousey's husband and if he is and he is a large man
He is a trained and this guy will apparently I'm not even gonna use his name because he doesn't deserve it
He is a she's training in MMA right now, but he had Travis Brown
Yeah, Travis Brown took him to the wood shed. They pulled him off
Harry Smith who was the son of Davey boy got a hold of him
Worked him over a little bit. They got Harry off and then Dawson came in and broke his nose dash
And then security came and hauled him away and there was he was still scuffling and fighting the one that came over and this is what I saw in the video
That was really cool. Remember how I said brawn was flexing walking away. Yeah, brawn parted the roster with his hands
Grabbed the guy and said you're gonna need to calm down right now or I'm gonna let them have you
And that's when they all exited and apparently this guy has spreads a lot of hate to the company on Twitter
He tags Triple H and Vince and a lot of things and
I'm glad nobody was hurt the new day actually came in and was basically keeping they were playing defense basically
They had Maddie and and Brett protected
Because they were right behind the ring. Yes, like the the new day couldn't have been closer if you try to make them closer
I'm glad everybody's okay. I hope this guy gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

Also last night the G1 super card. We had some chaos there too in a four-way tag title for the ROH tag team championships
Enzo and cast decided they were gonna get involved hop the hop the fence and
Started beating down the briskos and then cult cabana and bullie Ray came down from the back and beat the hell out of them
ROH is not recognizing that this is a work
I hope if it's not what I point out they tried to go to town on the briskos
There's great video of mark brisco tossing Enzo like a rag doll before bully ray gets to him
So that thing was not an angle of them and doing nothing that we're aware of no the only thing they said on the broadcast was well
Some people decided to start something, but they're not employed anywhere. So that's not what we're gonna talk about. We're moving right along
