Glenn Fry.

He deserves a minute.

But Glenn Fry, one of the founding members of the Eagles,
I was a huge fan, Chad.
I don't think anybody in the room was not a fan of this man
between his work with the Eagles and his solo work.
It was blood.

We'll be missed.
But we argued, you know, that's a great segue,
because we are going to do a little bit of an in memorial.
This is a guy who, not a lot of people knew who he was,
unless you were kind of old school.
Iron Mike Sharp,
born October 28th, 1949, passed away this past week.
Comes from a family legacy of wrestling.
His father and uncle were a very successful tag team in the 50s.
Group in California, but moved with his mother back to Canada
as a teenager, doubled in boxing and weightlifting
before he chose to be a wrestler.
He was a two-time NWA Canadian tag team champion.
One of the pacific coast heavyweight titles.
Because you gotta remember, back in the day,
especially when the territories were around,
there were about nine hundred and fifty belts.
And some of the strangest belt names you'll ever hear in your life.
But it was kind of the bit.
He was always one of these guys that you would see
on like WWE superstars, what they called them a jobner
to the stars.
He was a guy that, you know, he wasn't gonna win,
but he always came out and he put on a good show
and he really what they called shined up.
Whoever he was wrestling to make them look really, really good.
He's actually referenced in a bunch of different books
by people like the dynamite kid, Holgen, Montsoon.
Also, they said he was a bit, oh, he had a touch of OCD to him,
which as a wrestler is a very strange thing to have.
It's a very tough thing to deal with.
As far as job or salary goes,
I mean, those got paid as well.
Those guys made pretty good money
because it was just your job to go out there
and make somebody look good.
He actually appeared on Piper's Pit in 1984
for the opposition for Ivan Putzky's 1987 comeback match.
I mean, this was a guy that if you are,
if you are a historian, you know who this guy is.
He actually even tagged with Hogan during a tour of Japan
in early days.
He was like a product.
He kept on losing and losing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
His last televised match June 6th, 1995
and a losing tag team effort against the smoking guns.
But he also opened up his own school
and did a lot of training through the years too.
Very well known.
Iron Mike Sharp, you will be in this sir.
And we want to make sure that we give you
your props on this particular show.
Now that we've talked about that,
we have to talk about what has to be
the biggest news of the week
and news that probably LA and I were probably screaming
like little girls when this happened.
And a lot of very interesting things
surrounding this situation, AJ Styles
and at least one member of the Bullet Club, maybe two,
now members of the WWE roster.
Awesome, so, so, as if TNA isn't good enough.
I thought shooting themselves in the foot.
They come out and they threaten legal action
because they say they had a deal signed with TNA
that it was good, but it worked.
Right, not officially.
There are no lawyers present.
And so, somebody says to him,
hey, you may want to shut up
because when you're saying you were in negotiations with them,
they were still under contract to New Japan.
So technically, they couldn't talk to you anyway.
So that's called tampering.
So you might want to just back off on that a little bit.
The rumor is, it is, the rumors are three year deal.
I haven't heard anything solid on that.
Correct, but they're also saying the deal they gave AJ
was, as we watched the godfather yesterday,
was one he could not refuse.
Apparently, as much as they undercut him last go round,
they made up for it this time.
There's this, this creates control this contract.
What about Anderson?

I don't know what there was.

the deal kind of like how they do it with Brock Lesnar,
they got to be willing to throw a strap on this guy
and at a major level and fast.

about this deal that they had prior,
is they kind of want to derail HAB in the rubble tonight.
That was another rumor.
Well, they, but they wanted to put him in a six month program too.
They ran that set up.
Also, we want to say congratulations to Monday night Raw.
This past Monday was their eighth anniversary
of Raw debuting in HD.
Um, okay.

I think it's going to take some time for Moro to kind of work into this.

And we were talking last week that I kind of feel like King is too old to be a heel announcer.
And he's not even on the broadcast tonight.

The King has to be healed with this new announcer.

And all that says is believe that.
The problem that you're going to have with Bray Wyatt is champion.
A year ago, I would have put the belt on him.
The Wyatt family has lost so much steam in the last six months.
Because I keep wrestling the freaking deadly.

He can carry a show period.
Roman Reigns cannot.
I think they do that too nice in a row.
If they do that, I hope they prove me wrong.

Is it just me or is his armor starting to look like those puffy stickers from the 80s?

This is the 29th Royal Rumble match.
Here's how it works.

This is a 30 man over the top rope battle royal.
For the last few years, the winner of the Rumble becomes the number one contender going into WrestleMania.
Tonight, that is different.
Tonight, Roman Reigns defends his WWE World Heavyweight title against 29 other men.
This is not a gauntlet match, which some could see it that way.
This is a 30 man over the top rope battle royal and what that means to eliminate someone you must throw them over the top rope.
Both of their feet must hit the floor.
Roman Reigns has been picked number one.
One thing we know about the Rumble is that the Rumble always has surprised entrance.
As we saw what was that three years ago when Jericho showed up and blew the wheels off of the entire building at Fox and Hound.
We also want to say hello to our friends at Fox and Hound and Richardson.
We hope you guys are doing well.
Hopefully we get to be back with them soon.
They've got some remodels they're getting ready to do and that's kind of one of the things they're waiting on.
