for posterity sake. It is seven o'clock on the east coast. It is four o'clock on the west coast. It is the fifth of August in the year of our Lord two thousand in eighteen.
Season nine, episode three. And I'm saving a number here for just a minute because today is a milestone day on multiple fronts.
The clubhouse podcast is on the air. We're so excited. It sounds a little noises because we've actually left the studio.
Although some people would say no, it's pretty much that noisy when you're in the studio, but that's a whole different story for a whole other time.
Whether make sure that you're subscribing on your favorite podcast app because that's how you're hearing us right now. Welcome. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the clubhouse podcast.
And I feel it's like a Sunday dinner at the Walton's right now. We're so kind of crammed over here. We're live from Cider Kate in the Bishop's District of Dallas.
You can say we're returning to the scene of the crime. We were just here like a month ago for Ragnarok 2018, but we're back because it is who needs cake 2018.
I need sugar free cake. I'm just saying so let's go around the table across from me to my right is my co-host and a man that could not be more excited for the news.
Sanford and son album. He is shot. I told you you'd get that and nobody else would. That was so not fair. I'm not telling that story. You can find me later and ask me sitting between us because we're sitting on like a picnic table if you will here at Cider Kate.
For those of you who don't know what Cider Kate is, it's a wonderful wonderful place where you can come and pay ten bucks and play about a bazillion video games from pawn to like the latest stuff.
And my latest stuff like Doc and I in pre-show, Doc sitting right between us here. We actually were playing some Iron Maiden pinball, which is one of my favorite things on God's green earth right now. Doc, how are you?
I know my leapses. This is going to be a very strange show. Let's just keep going around counterclockwise. Sitting across from chat is the official fact checker of the show.
And a man who told me he was bringing his wife with him and then he didn't. You may know him is fond on go but his mom and even Don Ford. I'm going to call him Don Ford. What are you doing?
That's your boy. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Sitting next to him is one of my favorite people on the planet. My sister is here. I'm assuming she's just a conscientious observer.
But she and I are going to go see Top Gun tomorrow night in a movie theater. Oh, I got to turn him off. I got to turn the mic on. There you go. It's on me.
Oh, let's turn that one down just a little bit. Don, Don, you may not have to angle the speakers out a little bit because we're beaten back.
I enjoy watching your wife getting trashed over their chat. Getting trashes and drinking or getting trashes and getting your butt handed to her to game.
So is your wife struggling? I don't know. Oh, there she is. Okay.
See next time is the see next to Charlotte is the newest member of the cast and a man who informed us earlier than he for the first time all weekend before he left the house to come here. He put on pants and we're glad that it happened then.
Alex is here. Well, one could argue that I'm still not wearing pants. We were in shorts. So technically that is correct. But I am between two cute girls. So you got that going for you and rounding out the day is is the lady of the house.
And oddly enough, she's sitting in the same room with the house at the dead and we're not just talking about the rest of the people at this table.
Jen Rome is here. Hello, friend. Hello, everyone. There's a lot of people looking. It's going what? God's name. It's going on over there. Again, we are celebrating who needs cake. We guys.
Blinders run here somewhere. This was her brain child. There she is. Blinda Wong. Friend of the show and fellow member of the cast for who needs sleep, which is hence the name who needs cake.
This is also going to be a fundraiser for who needs sleep coming up Labor Day weekend. Make sure that you go to who needs sleep.org. Donate now. You can donate. Then we've got some awesome stuff going on. Grace D's going to be there. We're going to do an hour of our show there.
If you remember last year. We were kind of. I don't know a third of the way through the telephone when we did our show for an hour. It was Saturday night.
We were about a third of the way in because it was the end of the first day. Not this time, my friend. This time, our show is going to be during our 34.
Okay. And if I do what I did last year and stay up for the entire thing, it's going to get really interesting. And that is four weeks from today, kids.
We're four weekends away from who needs sleep. We got a whole. We have so much cool stuff. Devon Pike's running around here somewhere. He is the rainchild of that.
SKVs here. I saw I think I saw. Wait, I need to give an update. Jewels on it has switched hands on the ski ball so that she can hold her side or at the same time. This is skill ladies and gentlemen. That is that is weird here for this. That's her plan. That's tapped. All right. So.
From two weeks ago, again, we didn't have a show last week, but we want to thank everybody that came out to the curtain club in deep elm to see great, steeper form. We had a great time. So much fun.
Stay by the channel. We might be back there in about a month. There are rumors swirling. I'll have more information for you later this week. But listening back to the show from two weeks ago, no, nothing. We were clean. Chad, do you have anything that we need to update? Don? No, we're good. I've got nothing. Okay.
I didn't work. Let's try to get there. We go. All right. So let's get into this thing. I work. I'm kind of working on the fly tonight because there's no Wi-Fi available here at Citercade. So I'm having to do a lot of work from my phone. So you'll have to bear with me.
Because we always start with a little bit of NASCAR. Why would we do anything differently?
Looks like Chase Elliott holds off the big three for his first monster energy series when at Watkins Glen. So you got that going for you. Let's get into some standings really quick.
If the playoffs started today, which we can't say that much longer because the playoffs are coming next month, if I believe, I don't know.
Your odd man out right now would be Paul Bernard and yes, his family does own the chain of hardware stores in 16th place.
Rick Easton House Jr. Because remember, you always have to have a junior in NASCAR. It's like federal law.
He is a bunch of points behind Alex Bowman, who was really great during the Hunger Games. Bowman is 40 points behind seven times seven times seven times seven times seven times seven times seven times seven times
Anthony and Jimmy Johnson, not that Jimmy Johnson. And he is nine points behind Eric Jones.
Jones is 30 points behind Eric Almarola. Almarola is 17 points back on Chase Elliott.
Elliott, attorney at law. Chase Elliott is 20 points behind the man they call the stone Ryan Blaney, at least we do.
Stone is 21 points behind Danny Moons over my hamlin. And he is 10 points behind Kyle Larson, the new sheriff in town.
Larson is 10 points back on Brad Keselowski. Keselowski is 21 points back on Joey.
I don't know. Lugano, 12 points back on Boer. Boer, your two points back on Kurt Bush. Bush is a hundred and five eight points behind Martin Truex Jr.
And still leading your points standings by a bunch is Kyle Bush. So both of the Bush brothers in quick correction.
So let's see where we are going next as I'm scrolling and I'm scrolling. I'm into June. I'm into July.
All right. So today, oh, by the way, Chad, we forgot to tell you what today's race was.
It was the go bowling at the Glen. Now you want to make NASCAR interesting.
Oh, good. Get bowling balls involved. See now you have my attention. I've got it. I'm good. I'm here.
So next next Sunday, the consumers energy 400. Would I put that with NASCAR? Because don't they burn a lot of fuel?
Yeah, they do. Consumers energy.
I'm sorry. I'm not a match. The board goes back. That'll be next week at 12 30 Eastern on your local NBC SN affiliate.
I think NBC's got all the races from here on in some way shape or form. Don't they restart this coin still in a playoff.
We're going to play offsets. Yes, but does but they restart it, but they don't at the same time.
The person in the first gets a little bit of advantage and you go there in. Then we go in that weird math again.
Which we talked about multiple. Yeah, you have to carry the three divide by pie. I don't know what's going on there.
That's another thing. NASCAR and math. One of these things.
Now that that's the board goes back. All right, can we just do some stuff we actually know about. Yeah, talk TV for a minute.
In some interesting news this week, Alan Aldo, do you see this? Yes, I did. Revealing that he is suffering from Parkinson's disease.
Really? He revealed that this week. And he's he's actually joined social media now. So he's going to be chronicling his journey through this.
Did you hear how he just made this discovery? I did not sir. He was actually promoting his new podcast.
And he was doing media tours, doing media appearances, making television appearances. And he was watching them back.
And he kept noticing in all of these clips that his left thumb was twitching.
And he didn't realize it really. He just it was just happening, you know, completely on its own.
And he's like, I think I probably need to go get that looked at. And that's how we found out that he had Parkinson's disease.
And what could be that one of the stranger stories of the week, as we know, Disney finally got Comcast to stop holding their beer and have gotten the deal done to buy 20th Century Fox and everything.
Now Fox is saying they want to keep the Simpsons. All right. Something tells me Disney's going to go tell them to go pound sand.
I think so, because, but see, here's the sticky thing with that. If Disney does end up with the Simpsons, because Fox is going to keep their local television stations, right?
What happens to the universal thing? Well, the same thing that happened with the Marvel stuff.
Well, I mean, they had to move it out, but some of it stayed because it wasn't Disney property. Like the Hulk is not a Disney property.
So Universal got to keep that. That's a universal property. But the question becomes now.
Does Disney make them shut down the Simpsons there? Or do they say, yeah, I'll just pack it up and bring it on over here. We'll find a place.
Yeah, maybe so. But they're saying they want to keep the Simpsons and I just I don't see it happening.
No, there's going to be a Godfather deal on that one where they get to keep the Simpsons, but they're paying them X number of dollars or every ticket or every day.
Yeah. But given the way that shows gone the last four or five seasons, if your Fox are kind of like Viacone deals only because that show has not been good the last few years, but people still watch it.
I do. I mean, I'm not saying I don't still watch it. I'm just kind of like.
Is this such as is this is this a stick in the much? I got the approved thing that people are complaining about.
It's just not what it used to be. Right. Remember. Oh, absolutely.
Now, the big question. Who owns what now use a 20-foot century Fox is going to be owned.
Well, it's still the deal's not done. It's what Devin's here about 18 more months on that. So by the time it's all said and done.
Disney will get the movie studios of 20th Century Fox. Correct. Okay. They will get.
They're not getting FS one or FS two, but they're getting their regional sports networks. They're not getting Fox News.
Thank God. They're not getting the local TV stations. The main thing is most of the movie properties and a ton of the television properties, but they're not getting the television network.
That makes any sense. That's with me on that done. This is an audio medium. So where does FX and FX X fall?
They will go into the Disney poll. Yikes. So this will be interesting, getting the nature of FX and FX X.
Because we're going to be got a couple of FX stories to talk about in TV talk as well. We're getting to that here in a minute.
Just tell the mouse not to mess up my archer fix. I don't think they will.
But here's a thing we've been talking about the upcoming 13th season of it's always sunny in Philadelphia.
And as we were getting into it, the question was becoming is at the time the Mick was still a thing.
But that's now since been canceled. So so D is freed up. But Dennis's show on NBC AP bio has been picked up. Fox has said that Dennis Reynolds will be in season 13 if it's always sunny.
And they will be addressing the Super Bowl victory on the show. It's going to debut September the 5th.
Devon was shaking his head when I said season 13. I'm right there with you brother.
I complain about supernatural having gone for 47 seasons. And sunny just like sneaks up on you. It's like it does.
How have those bastards been able to keep that thing going this long? And you know, Chad can't stand that show.
And I understand his point of view. These people are just horrible people to each other, but they all deserve it.
Everything that is something that they deserve. I mean, for me, it's the same thing with signed face or curb.
I can maybe watch one episode. It is not bingeable.
No, definitely not.
And I refuse to look at that show like I look at like reality shows of my my pageant kid murdered my dog or whatever.
And look at them and say, you know, I feel better about my life when I watch this because I feel bad about humanity in general when I watch shows like a sunny.
Even though it is massively, massively funny and amazingly talented people, I can't watch more than 23 minutes of it.
It's kind of like the league. The league was the same way. I love the league.
How dare you.
I know I love the league, but like I said, I couldn't binge the league.
So the league did provide one of the greatest comedic moments in recent history after the Seattle Super Bowl in the season premiere when Marshal Lynch was on it.
And there's like one beer left.
He's like, just let me run to. No, I'll throw it.
I'll just throw it.
Brent Spiner joining the cast of Supergirl this year. He's going to play the vice president of these Americas on Earth too.
I can see that. That's a good bit.
We got two different Star Trek alumni stories this week.
Yes, I'm waiting for that next one. It's coming.
We do that. We have all but confirmed your villain for season three of Daredevil will be bullseye.
Thank God.
And he will be played by a Wilson Bethel.
Why do I know that name?
Chad's probably going to look at it for me right now.
If you enjoyed Hulu's version of Marvel's Run of Ways, season two has been set for this winter.
I've heard very good things. I have not had a chance to watch it as of yet.
And Chad, the story Chad was waiting for.
And I don't know how I feel about this.
John Luke Picard is returning to television.
On a new Star Trek series that again will be on CBS All Access. Go Pound Sam.
That'll get people to sign up.
Not me. I'm not saying you.
I don't care.
I'm not paying for CBS.
Come over to my house. I do.
Now, this is interesting, by the way. This Wilson Bethel.
Yes, sir.
He's already been on the cast of Daredevil as an FBI agent.
Two seats, both seasons.
So are they going to maybe translate his character into maybe so?
Maybe he's been a mole this whole time or something? I don't know.
But yeah, we are in an arcade.
So why would I miss the opportunity to say this to CBS All Access?
Good Lord, just saying.
And what could be the strangest story this week?
Did you hear the Fargo announcement?
Yes.
The new season of Fargo season four coming up is going to take place in 1950.
And it's going to be about two, and it's not going to be in Fargo.
It's going to be in St. Louis, Missouri.
So now I don't know why you're calling it Fargo.
But it's going to be about two warring crime families.
One is Italian American, the other being African American.
The head of the African American crime family.
Are you ready?
How about a top?
You don't have to be all TV.
Chris Rock.
Are you kidding me?
That could be the world's worst Chris Rock impersonation in the history of I didn't know what it was.
I've heard where Heki were dead.
I thought it was dead on.
It was terrible, but I've heard worse.
So it takes place in St. Louis, but it's called Fargo.
I'm sorry, Kansas City.
I'm sorry, Kansas City.
Yep.
I'm sure there'll be some St. Louis in there.
In 1950.
Why don't they call it like the untouchables or stuff?
Because that would have been the 30s.
That also would have been a different city.
And it wouldn't have been Chris Rock, I'm sure.
It's called ModStorm.
AMC has renewed fear of the walking dead and better call Saul both for season five.
I understand half of this announcement.
I don't...
And I was just about to say, I don't know anybody that's watching fear.
I know it.
You bailed Halfway through season one, didn't you?
I bail Halfway through season two.
My wife made it through season one.
She was done.
I got through season two and thought this is garbage.
I was rooting for the boat to sink.
So you just said...
No!
No!
No!
Okay, just making sure.
American Horror Story has been renewed for season 10 on the FX.
I believe there's talks about this being the last season.
And the Jessica Lang is coming back.
And the season nine is going to be a crossover season.
We talked about that a couple of weeks ago.
Yes, we did.
Between Kevin and Murder House, if I remember correctly.
Let's see.
In another story of a franchise that will not die.
And you guys know I'm a huge fan of this franchise.
And this should really give me happy feelings.
And it does it.
Got them?
No.
No.
Got them is going to die a very slow death this season.
Okay.
And Don and I are huge fans of this franchise.
And when they went and did live another day.
I was like, you know what?
I enjoyed it.
It was fun.
And then they did legacy.
No.
And that was terrible.
No.
24 will not die.
No.
Because now, not only is Fox developing a prequel series that will be a Jack Bauer origin story.
Oh, that's not all you're getting, sir.
They're developing a legal.
A legal thriller with the same concept.
Now, can you say thriller with a straight face at that point?
We all know nothing in the legal system happens in a day.
I can vouch for that.
You work in it.
I do work in it.
Why don't they just put Justin Bieber's Jack Jr.
Okay.
Don't give them ideas.
You take that back.
You take that back.
Can we take his microphone away?
If I didn't value this stuff, I would throw something at you right now just for that.
They ended it like they should have stopped.
I agree.
No.
You're not hearing me to bet you I agree with you 100% in the southern land and all them are back.
Well, there has been talks about keep forgetting involved.
Well, and you know, we've had Chloe on the show.
And Gwen.
Yep.
That's right.
Going more showers.
I guess on the show as well.
I'm just saying.
When it happens, don't be surprised because I told you.
Well, like the new flat liners that came out now.
I didn't like the original.
I thought the original flat liners was hot guard.
But now he made his appearance to kind of pass a torch.
Oh, was he in it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
He plays the dean of the medical thing.
You see him.
Yeah.
The dean of the medical.
School.
That's a technical term, sir.
That's what I said.
Dean of the medical school.
No thought.
Now it's not like Donald's.
That's your boy.
So this is your every minute.
I was talking to the love of Untalented Mrs. Irvin last night
because she was.
She was a fan of timers.
Uh-huh.
And NBC went.
Man, that's a much.
Well, now NBC is saying they're going to bring timeless back.
But it's only going to be for a two hour movie finale to wrap everything up.
Apparently, that's the bit.
I wish Sean was here to hear that.
She loves Timeless as well.
Well, she probably subscribes on her favorite podcast app
and she'll be able to hear it herself.
That's when she's in the car with me.
Unlike, unlike maybe asking someone what they thought of a movie
knowing there was a special edition out there.
I'm just saying.
That would be Alex.
Alex did that.
I had not seen the movie yet.
I have a quote by opinion and you had the episode in your phone at the time.
I don't listen to the episodes until after I watch.
Don't ask my opinion if you ever see the movie.
I was asking on behalf of Sean.
And Sean said the same thing to you.
She took my side.
No, she wanted to pile on.
There's a difference.
Let's get out of this ditch.
Yes, please.
In other news, I'm not sure how I feel about.
Because remakes and reboots and movies now becoming TV series.
Chad, if I say the name Austin Abrams from the Walking Dead.
Is that the kid?
No, that's Chandler Riggs.
Chandler Riggs.
No, Ron Chandler.
Sorry.
That was for Charlotte.
He will be starring in a Hulu series.
Wait for it.
Based on less than zero.
Oh, Lord.
Because.
The 80s movie less than zero.
Yes.
The feel good movie of the decade.
Less than.
But you know what?
Less than zero did give us the the bangles version of H.E.
Shade of Winter, which I'm a huge fan of.
It also gave us going back to Cali.
Yes, you are correct, sir.
One of the strangest rhyme schemes in hip hop at that time.
Oh, no, Austin Abrams was in paper towns.
Okay.
But who lose order to pilot?
I just don't.
Don't we have enough things depressing us right now?
I mean, is it just going to be a straight up remake?
I mean, have they have they really it's going to be a series.
But I'm just saying how they're going to.
Is it supposed to be the same people?
I mean, I would assume.
Don't assume.
Although they were did the original give us Jamie Gertz.
How are you doing?
I thought she did the lost boys before that.
But she was I'm saying she was in less.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was it was Jamie Gertz, Robert Downey Jr.
And.
Donna Blanknow.
Ultron.
Come on.
James Spader.
James Spader.
Thank you.
God.
You're welcome, America.
Almost said David Spader.
I do that all the freaking time with those guys.
David Spader.
James Spader.
I now refer you to your intro at this point, even though that was not on you.
You know, let's go ahead and tell that story real quick.
So yesterday, Chad and I are having lunch with with his cousin Mikey,
whom we all love.
And they were playing.
We were going to see your daughter, my goddaughter at work.
Uh-huh.
Very so proud of her.
Love my goddaughter.
And they were playing a song.
And I was like, I don't even know who this is.
And Mikey goes, it's Sanford and you son.
And I looked at him and I go, did you mean Mumford and Sons?
And he looked at me like, oh yeah.
Not to say.
And we laugh.
Totally.
We laugh for about 45 minutes.
Did he yell get off my lawn immediately?
Yeah.
You know, he probably should have.
Um, HBO has ordered a series based on the Time Traveler's wife with Stephen Muffet.
Oh, okay.
So he's-
That guy's money for them.
Yeah, he's gone from-
Captain Trublood.
He's gone from, uh, from Doctor Who To This apparently.
And in other news of, we don't need this Apple now deciding they're going to start making original content.
They want to turn time bandits into a series.
Oh.
Why not?
Not sure how I feel about this.
I don't.
If Gilliam's not involved, I really don't see how I can be legit.
And wrapping up our TV segment tonight.
How much reboot are remakes that we have in TV alone tonight?
Because Warner Brothers wants to reboot Alpha.
Oh, God.
That's a thing.
That does not need to happen.
I fully agree with you on that.
It's never a fan of that show.
I blame the happy time murders.
Hey, that's coming up about three weeks.
It was next week, isn't it?
Isn't happy time murders next week?
Uh, Doc has a question.
Apparently it's not going to be a reboot.
It's going to be a continuation of the story because it's what happens when Alpha escapes Area 51.
And now he's out.
Now the world's all brand new to him.
So it's going to be a continuation.
Still not selling me.
And I looked up the less than zero series that all the characters have the same names.
Oh, happy time murders at 25.
Okay.
I'll just look that up for us.
Done.
Succession ends tonight on HBO.
That was really good.
You know what?
That's going to be one.
I'm going to binge the whole thing because I've been very, very interested in that.
And ballers comes back next week.
Was that a one and done thing?
No, they're getting season two.
Oh, they are.
They are getting season two.
And ballers is going to be an LA instead of Miami.
Yes.
And with what's his name?
The main guy they're dealing with this year.
Get him to the Greek.
Did Katie Perry for like a minute and a half?
Russell Brand.
They were married.
Russell Brand.
He's their main guy this year.
As a what?
He's the client they're going to.
So apparently they're going to branch out into entertainment.
That's what they're getting.
That's what I'm saying.
As a yes.
Oh, okay.
I was as a soccer player.
I've seen the trailer.
It looks good.
It's ballers.
You know, I'm going to watch.
I actually haven't.
I took the general approach on this one.
I'm not watching the trailer.
I'm going to watch the show.
I was watching something else in the trailer was there.
So I was like, I'll just watch this now.
Ballers is good.
I enjoy ballers very much.
I don't want to spend racing my eyebrows.
I hate to say it.
Who is America?
Oh, the Sasha Baron Cohen foul.
Oh, yeah.
I'm out.
I'm out.
It raises eyebrows.
I've said it before on this show.
And I will say it again.
The only good thing from Sasha Baron Cohen is the following.
I like to move it.
Move it.
That's it.
I'll give him.
And coming for you, Ricky Booby.
I'll give him that one.
By the way, I, the one thing I was, I was burying at the beginning of the show.
But I forgot to say, this is episode 450.
We reach another milestone today, kids.
I feel so old.
You are old.
Hey, thanks.
TV on DVD and Blu-ray this week.
Get shorty season one, the Hulu series, which season two getting ready to drop.
I believe tomorrow on the Hulu.
I didn't even know that was a thing.
Oh, yeah.
Talk about it on the show.
Let's see.
The good doctor season one.
My wife very much enjoyed this show.
Couldn't get into it.
I tried.
Outside of superhero shows.
I'm not taking on any new shows until more drop-off.
Documentary now.
Seasons one and two.
If you don't know what this is, this is Fred Armisen and some of his friends doing remakes of documentaries.
And I've heard it's brilliant.
Doc is, Doc is fully supporting.
Wait.
Is this the one that got inspired by drunk history?
No, no, no.
This came before drunk history.
Oh, did it?
Yes.
Okay.
They remake documentaries.
Yes.
Yeah.
If you want to see, it's a series on F.C.
Do you remember the talking heads, films stop making sense?
Yeah.
They recreate that.
It is hilarious.
They do the whole thing.
And they play it straight.
If I'm not mistaken.
Yes, they do.
They play it completely straight.
Yeah.
So seasons one and two available this week on DVD and Blu-ray.
Season two of Riverdale.
This break was for you by technical things.
Furthering that I am the smartest man alive.
Okay, as I figured out the ending to season two, way before season two even started.
I called it.
They tried to, they tried to red herring me and I wasn't going away.
I was sticking to my guns and I was right.
Season two of six.
Not of six seasons, the show six.
Oh, about to say.
Wait, what?
Rick and Morty, season three.
You know what?
Let's talk about Rick and Morty for a minute.
So I finally watched a couple of episodes of Rick and Morty.
It, in my defense, it was just what was on TV and it was the worst episode.
I don't care.
With music.
Rick and Morty.
Great show ever.
Every episode is amazing.
I watched two episodes and I got a bag of nothing.
I was not high, Doc.
No.
I thought that was just adventure time.
It's kind of the same show.
And major laser.
It's an awesome show.
Everybody must watch.
No, no, no, no.
Not going to do it.
Not going to do it.
And I made it worse.
You know what was right after those two episodes of Rick and Morty?
Ed and Eddie.
No.
The first family guy episode with Consuela.
And just the defeat in Alex's eye.
Oh, this is just making it worse because this episode is so awesome.
This is where Old Man Rob comes in.
And he's like, I don't get these new jokes.
It's all these kids.
It's terrible.
Let's see.
Happy endings, the complete series.
That was with the...
No, that was a show on...
No, just a look on Charlottesville.
It was a sitcom on ABC that the girl that played Jack Bauer's daughter was in.
Alicia Cuffberg?
Yes.
And Casey Wilson from Saturday Night Live was on it as well.
My wife was watching it on Hulu.
It was kind of funny.
You just...
You didn't see the look that Charlotte gave whenever you said the name of it?
Oh no, I totally did.
I totally did.
My sister's sitting right in front of me.
I feel like I can't see her.
Her brow got all furrowed and everything.
The complete series of Masters of Sex, which tells me that series is over and not a moment too soon.
I thought you were a fan of that show.
I was.
The last season was terrible.
Oh really?
And...
Get ready to feel old, kids.
The 25th anniversary complete series set of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers hits the blue right of DVD this week.
25 years ago, that show began the torture of my soul.
I never watched an episode.
I used to have to sneak that because my mom wouldn't let me watch it.
She thought it was too violent.
But I used to like go over to my friend's house to watch it.
Great to show of all time.
There is a big thing why to thank the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
And his name is Brian Cranston.
Well, here's the thing.
When you realize how much younger Charlotte is in the rest of the crew.
In the rest of you?
Well, you're the exception to the rule because you're like seven.
I know, I'm adorable.
And it just...
It just...
Get off my lawn.
Alright, so let's get into POI.
You are listening to the Clubhouse podcast.
We are live today at Cidercade.
I love this place.
They have Iron Maiden Pitball.
That's all you need in your life.
They have Batman 66 Pinball.
Now, we need to get the WrestleMania machine fixed.
That's my thing.
Is that still there?
Yeah.
It's still not working.
But I mean, I do have one request.
Aliens Pinball.
Oh, that aliens that we saw.
That Texas Pinball Fest was amazing.
But I played last time we were here.
I played Hogan's Alley,
which I haven't played since the NES.
They've got the Die Hard Arcade game.
And by the way, Die Hard will play a role coming up later in the show.
So be ready for that.
Alright.
They've got the Batman Driving game,
which I love, love, love here.
Have you ever been able to link that?
Is that game like?
I've never played a versus version of it.
I've always just played about myself.
But they've got, I mean, they've got all kinds of Pinball here.
Old school games, new school games.
You have Gyrus.
You have my attention.
You know, Gyrus is one of my favorite games of all time.
Yes.
And I still think Doc cheated the Iron Maiden Pinball.
Doc has a question.
Uh-oh.
Doc has a question.
Um, on your last Iron Maiden Pinball adventure.
You cheated.
What was the point difference between you and I scores?
You cheated.
You cheated.
You cheated.
We got two extra balls before I got to play one.
He played a full game.
That sounds like a whole ball.
You have not answered the question, sir.
What was the point differential?
Way more than it should have been.
I believe it was 100 million.
Oh, is that all right?
It was 100 million is the answer.
Yeah, he beat me by 100 million points.
And here I was going to say the range goes from...
I got to play my first game of joust
that you old heads kept talking about.
Oh, you didn't play joust until we...
I had never played joust until we were here for Ragnarok.
joust can be very frustrating.
You think?
Oh, yeah.
Especially when the terror attack shows up.
Oh, do you watch frustrating Donkey Kong 2?
You ever tried that one?
Oh, yeah.
Not Jr. 2.
I know the difference, Doc.
Ooh, that was tough.
I do know the difference.
That frustrating thing.
Reading is fundamental.
See spot right.
Oh, and they also have...
From the pinball standpoint,
they have a total nuclear annihilation,
which is a lot of fun to play as well.
It's a very busy table when I think it's going...
We do our new shows every Sunday nights,
so make sure you subscribe on your favorite podcast app.
Please like us, link to your rate us,
review us because we need all the help we can get every day.
And we're going to be part of who needs sleep,
which is going to be awesome.
Get ready for that Labor Day weekend.
So much fun.
You'll be able to be part of the studio audience,
if you like to come hang out with us.
There's going to be awesome stuff to bid on.
Make sure you go to who needs sleep.org.
Check out, click on auctions.
Devon, is that what we're doing?
Devon.
Devon.
He's not listening.
Devon!
Who needs sleep?
Are they clicking on auctions?
Is that what we're doing to get it up and running?
I want to make sure we've got that right.
I'm sorry, Senator.
Could you repeat the question?
Yes, I can.
For the auctions slot, it's who needs sleep.org,
and are they clicking auctions?
Is that what it is?
Yes, auctions.
So the nav tab at the top right of every page,
all the auctions that we have currently live,
a lot of the raffle items are there as well.
And make sure you mark a week from Wednesday,
August 15th.
I don't know if I told you about this.
August 15th, because Doc works over in that section at town too.
Alamo at Los Kalinas,
seven o'clock.
We are doing a screening that's going to benefit
who needs sleep of army of darkness.
That's seven o'clock.
The first Campbell documentary.
With his boob stick.
You try telling me that movie didn't happen.
I will neither confirm or deny any of it.
I'll confirm.
I'll confirm.
I'll confirm.
I'll confirm all of it.
And all the money is going to go to who needs sleep.
It's a great organization,
and not just because Devon and I are very, very active in it.
We're benefiting two and Gen Rome as well.
I almost got something thrown at me.
Let's face the half of the people inside arcade right now
are on the board of directors.
That is true.
Cancer support communities, North Texas,
Cook Children's Fort Worth.
We don't keep any of it.
We give it all to them.
Devon did a great Facebook Live this week
that I reposted on my page.
It's going to tell you a lot of the stuff that we're going to be doing.
Getting ready to see some friends that we don't get to see very often.
It's one of the great things about who needs sleep.
And we were just talking earlier that this show will be during our 34.
So if I ironman it again,
that shows going to be really interesting.
Can I give you a clubhouse exclusive, by the way?
Please do, sir.
Confirmed this about an hour ago.
So you've got the parking lot.
What we're doing in the broadcast is the old CBS radio studios.
Right next to the CW-33 building.
Correct.
Right where 183 and 35 split off at Mockingbird.
So you've got a parking lot there.
Since we're selling tickets, we'll have people parked there to come in.
They'll be over the course of the day.
But even if you don't get tickets,
you should still come out,
because one of the ways you can get banged for your buck donation,
Dave Hendrickson is a local movie car builder.
He's been featured on Chop Garage,
and I think there's like two or three other reality shows where you've seen his stuff.
He has a screen accurate Mach 5
and just completed.
And he sent me the photos.
I'll show them to you in a second.
Rick and Morty's trash can spaceship.
Street legal, by the way.
Two-seater.
So come out for a donation.
You can get your photo with both of the vehicles.
And I'm going to put some gear pressure on Dave McDonough
to bring out the Ecto and the Dress Park Chief as well.
Absolutely.
It's going to be a hell of a lot of fun.
And there's going to be something really for every...
If you have any kind of a fan...
If you're a sports fan, movie fan,
rock music, live music in general, live comedy,
there's something for every...
Three words, 36 hours.
Three words, cosplay dance party.
That's all you need to know.
Two more words, Tiki Bar.
Tiki Bar.
Tiki Bar.
Grab a Tiki Bar.
And it'll be in the middle of the night.
Which has even been better.
That one to four block went from the,
oh my God, why are we still doing this to these?
That is the must-see piece of the entertainment puzzle.
I'm just saying.
And remember, your donation, we are a 501c3.
Your donations will be tax deductible
and we're getting into Q4,
so people are going to want to get those tax deductions.
When I say we're on the year 36 hours live,
we're on the air 36 hours live.
We're not...
I hate to say the words we're not in delay,
but we're not in delay.
So you're going to see stuff as it happens.
It'll feel like we're in delay around hour 30.
In some cases, hour 20.
But you're going to see,
there's going to be some great panels that we're going to have as well.
It's going to be...
We had so much fun over the Christmas holidays doing it.
And we're going to do it again,
Labor Day Weekend, September 1st and 2nd.
And some of the stuff that Devon revealed in his Facebook Live
the other day, you want to check out.
Because if you're a fan of, oh, I don't want to...
I don't know, the greatest rock band of my generation.
You might want to bid on something that symbolizes them,
being you too.
So, I mean, we've got some really, really cool stuff coming.
You want to be a part of this Labor Day Weekend.
That's part of the reason we're here tonight
because we're celebrating Who Needs Cake
because it's blowing this birthday.
And she wanted to have us come out and do our show to help promote
because we're accepting donations tonight.
We're going to have goodie bags for people,
whether you go to the screening,
or we're going to have a studio audience
where you can pay some money and come watch this insanity
as it happens because you'll be able to see things
that the people watching at home won't be able to see.
And not only be able to watch it,
but any of the guests that come in,
you can get your photos taken with them.
Yes, sir.
Autographs, whatnot.
And we're also going to have a limited number of posters
of the key art for Who Needs Cake 2018
done by the Great Matthew Warlock.
And every guest that comes through
is going to autograph like a batch of posters.
So, if you buy a ticket,
you'll have a crack in a few of those, too.
And that's going to tie us right into
our person of interest segment.
And Devon, if you want to hang out and talk,
you're more than welcome to.
Because person of interest is a segment
we do on the show each and every week,
where we take a person or an entity,
and we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
Now, I don't want to debate my experience
of who was at said Dale this week.
But right now, I just want to talk about it anyway,
but I want to talk about the venue here in the Dallas-Worth area,
called the Irving Music Factory.
This place, brand new, just opened just about a year ago.
It was a year ago, Labor Day Weekend.
If I remember correctly, that they did their first events there.
This is an entire complex.
That's right by where Doc and I work
in the Las Kalinas area.
Right next to the Irving Convention Center.
I went to my first show there two weeks ago.
It was for the live counting crow show.
Live, amazing counting crow's not so much.
But, everything that you want
an outdoor venue to be this place is.
Am I the only one on the days here that's been there?
No, I've been there.
It's the Alamo.
I'm talking about two of the music factories itself though.
No, I'm inside, but as you see,
you've been to the Alamo Draft House there.
There's a number of restaurants.
There might be clubs we don't know.
That's weird.
Because of the whole Big Meat Dallas.
All the stuff is still there.
It looks like they're just close for a couple of days.
They didn't clear anything out.
It's very strange.
They've got like a promenade area that's got stages on it,
which I thought was neat because there was a band playing
as we were going into the concert that was still playing
when we left the concert.
Charlotte, who did you see there?
Oh, was this the need to breathe incident?
Okay.
But, that's still a great song.
I don't care and you know it.
That's, but...
But you should have said,
Rob is having to grow really going to be there.
And I'd be like, it's not his show.
It's the need to breathe, yeah.
It was advertised as a gab in the show.
Yes, it was.
But I could have told you that.
Because I...
Did they verge old it?
Did they verge old it?
Oh!
General Mioke, just stretch it.
She also has, by the way,
General does have the coolest shirt on the day.
It's kind of, by the way.
There's all these things to Alex.
That's right.
Ron is here.
Hey, Ron.
So, Irving Music Factory,
it's kind of neat because you can really play
your entire evening the way they've designed this thing.
I am a huge fan of this venue because
we can talk about outdoor amplifiers.
Everybody has them across the country.
In Texas.
And people...
I was in Ohio all week.
And people were like, oh, we're sorry about the weather.
I said, let me tell you something.
You can rain all you want.
My car said 118 in Dallas the other day.
I will take 85.
So, in a town like this where it's hot, hot, hot, hot, hot,
hot in the summer,
outdoor venues can be a bit of a beating.
Yes.
Anybody want to debate me on that?
No, they can be downright undesirable.
And this is actually an indoor outdoor venue.
Vinnie, have you been over there yet?
To the Irving Music Factory?
Ugh.
So, most places that are outdoor amplifiers,
when you go in, literally everything's outside.
You're outside the entire time.
Not at the Irving Music Factory.
The way they're doing this, you go inside to have your...
to go with your security.
All of the con courses, whether you're buying merch,
getting drinks, going to the bathroom,
it's all inside.
You don't hit outside until you get to the venue itself.
And even thusly, it's only the lawn.
They can use this thing year round,
because if it's in the wintertime,
they've got these huge garage doors,
that they just close,
and you could do it as an indoor venue.
They've even got another set of doors
that comes down in front of the back section.
So, if you only wanted to do like 4,000 seats,
you could get it to that and probably get the venue cheaper.
Now, the other thing about the Irving Music Factory,
the floor, the seats are not stationary.
All of the seats on the floor are folding chairs.
So, when you're going through, of course,
because they want to advertise,
have your event here, blah, blah, blah.
One of the things they show is how they've cleared...
they did a deal where they cleared out all the seats on the floor
and set up tables on the floor for like a huge banquet.
I can't imagine the bill on that.
Probably a couple of 300 bucks.
But, everything about this venue is amazing.
Doc, have you been out there yet?
Have you seen a show there?
Because Doc and I are both musicians,
and so we're very, very picky about the things that we do.
There's only one right by hand about that whole area.
What's that? The parking?
Yeah.
The parking is a bit rough,
but they're still working on that.
They're building more parking garages.
At its maximum, I think it holds a...
I want to say right at 10,000.
So, it's not a huge venue.
But, the tech is on point.
The tech is amazing there.
They did a great job on it.
And they're still working on some things.
But again, this is a place that you can take an entire evening.
Because there's restaurants down there,
like the Alamo Drafthouse.
They have a theater at that Alamo Drafthouse that holds 30 people.
How great would that be?
Now, we're just going to watch a movie,
take a bunch of people,
and we're just going to rent the theater out.
30 people.
Family movie.
Absolutely.
They've got...
I've heard rumors of other restaurants that are going...
There's a sushi place down there.
I know for sure.
I've heard rumors of a twisted route going on over there.
I can neither confirm nor deny that yet.
But it's a great, great facility.
Now, Sharro, do you want to talk about outside of use of what happened to you there?
Any thoughts of the place itself?
Apart from what ended up happening?
Apart from the false advertisement?
Correct.
I think the venue is amazing.
I loved it.
I thought it was...
For what?
I mean, of course, it had just opened.
We seriously saw probably two weeks after it opened,
so the venue is really nice.
You can literally watch the concert from the bar.
Yeah, there's bars on both sides that are both inside and outside.
Yes.
And they have little tables you can reserve too by those bars.
Yes, it can.
At this show, you didn't have to reserve them.
They were just open and free to sit at.
The lawn is pretty shaded for the most part.
And there's bars and stuff up on the upside of the lawn too.
Yes.
So it's not like you have to walk all the way across the joint to get what you need.
No.
Which is nice.
What?
I thought it was amazing.
I'm going back on the 15th.
For who?
Ben Shapiro.
Ah, you're a fan.
Love him.
Second favorite, you man.
Do we obligatory have to say who the first one is?
Would be Jesus.
Jesus.
Come on, man.
Get with the program.
But I highly recommend this place.
I may be going October 7th.
Are you going for the...
I've got to.
I'm telling you, you will be a man.
And you know how much I love the starplex.
You know how much I love seeing shows at the starplex.
This is next level.
This is next level for that type of atmosphere.
And I'll tell you what, as hot as it was,
they had the huge fans.
Beautiful breeze.
The tickets filled out.
Shout out to Phil Mar.
We were 16 rows from the stage.
And I don't think I sweated at all.
Really.
And I had a really nice air circulation going on in there.
They're picking a really good time to do that print symphonic thing.
That's right in the middle of October.
I'm telling you, Charlotte.
What I liked is that even if you go get a drink,
you can still see the stage from the bar.
That's good.
Yeah.
You're still visible to you.
Unlike at the starplex, dokex, dosekies, jacks,
or whatever the heck you want to call it.
The starplex.
It will always be the starplex.
I will not call it anything else.
But at the starplex, you go to the concession stand,
whatever, and you can no longer see the show.
Whatever.
At the Irving factory, you get to see the show from the bar.
Yeah, it's brilliant.
And the big screens are great.
Especially if you're down on the floor,
it doesn't distract you like the other places
that you would go to.
It's an amazing place.
Any other questions anybody has before we move on?
You've convinced me.
I think I was unsure about the venue,
but now let's get into MLB Talk.
And I don't know that we can do
America's favorite game show this week,
because I don't have it.
If you would like, I can take that for you.
Let me see if I can get to it,
because I just went to...
See if I can get to it.
You guys know I don't have my...
Does that mean I win by default?
No!
I need to retain the reigning champion title for another week.
No, because I'm going to pull it up here,
standings.
I'm going to do something to see if I can get it from Yahoo.
If I go to the deal.
The Yahoo mobile app won't give it to me.
So we'll have to push it off a week.
MLB standings.
Where are we going?
Oh.
We have a ski ball down.
Okay.
In the American League East,
the Baltimore Orioles are still terrible.
44 games back.
Did you find it?
Do I have...
Oh, I do have run differentials.
Perfect.
Holy mackerel.
Oh, you even got it right.
Whoa, daddy.
Okay, please don't refer to me like that.
I'm not calling you that.
I'm just saying in general.
Baltimore is 18 games back on Toronto.
Toronto's 4 back on Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay is 14 and a half back on the Yankees.
Charlotte's beloved Boston Red Sox are eight and a half games
up in the division right now.
Are you a Boston fan?
I didn't know that.
This is no information to me.
In the AL Central.
Get ready, kids.
Because America's favorite game show will feature
the Kansas City Royals this week.
No cheating.
Kansas City Royals.
They're terrible.
They're 27 and a half.
They're 27 and a half back.
They're seven back on the White Sox.
The White Sox are five and a half back on Day 12,
who is six back on Minnesota.
Minnesota now nine back on the Indians.
Don't start playing major league yet.
It's August.
They can still choke it.
And in the ALS, your Texas Rangers, sir.
I know.
I know.
22 games back in the division.
They're 49 and 64.
So, you know, you're only 15 games below 500.
It's so depressing.
They are six games back on law.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim,
Los Angeles County, California,
America, North America, Earth Milky Way.
Law is 10 and a half back on Seattle.
Seattle is a game and a half back on Oakland.
Oakland now four back on Houston, Houston, Houston.
In the National League West.
The San Diego Padres.
They're 18 and a half back.
They're 13 and a half back on San Francisco.
San Francisco is three back on Colorado.
The Dodgers and Arizona tied for the lead in that division.
Right now.
So, Misty is very, very happy.
And now central.
The Cincinnati Reds are 15 and a half back.
They're eight back on Don's beloved Pittsburgh Pirates.
You boys never start winning some games.
All right.
Yeah, right.
You don't care.
It's almost football season.
No, no, no.
They're a game back on St. Louis.
St. Louis is five and a half back on Millowaw K.
And the Cubs had a one game lead in that division.
Locked up in that tight.
I always had a Pirates game about two, three weeks ago.
And I got the commentators.
So, yes, I care about the pirates.
And yes, they always choke after the break.
Okay.
Win football fires up.
Which one do you care about more?
I'd have to do the Steelers.
Thank you.
But.
Thus proving my point.
But.
But don't say.
Done.
That's enough but out of you.
I got me.
And then the only division that matters.
The NLE's.
My Miami Marlins are terrible.
They're 18 back there.
They're a game back on your Met's though.
The Met's.
The Met's are 11 back on the Nattinals.
Four and a half back on my beloved Braves.
And my beloved Braves now.
Like, game and a half back on the Philadelphia Phillies.
And by the way, we are at 60 wins.
So the magic number now 18.
And I forgot the sheet.
Oh, you forgot it, didn't you?
All right.
So is everybody ready to play America's favorite game?
I need to get your phone went dark.
America's favorite game show.
And I don't want to reach out and hit the echo again.
What is the run differential for the Kansas City Royals?
General, we will start with you.
Now you're going first.
Negative 202.
Negative 202.
Alex.
I'm going to try and hit the high on this one and go 228.
228.
Charlotte.
197.
197.
Don.
240.
240.
Chad.
222.
222.
Doc.
$1.
$9.
$9.
$9.
Over 100 million points.
I will say to all of you, but one person.
All of you went over, but one person.
The one differential for the Kansas City Royals
is minus 200.
Even Charlotte wins by being closest without going over.
Why not for me again?
Because I want you guys to see the difference
in Major League Baseball right now.
Would you like me to read it out?
Who has the best run differential right now?
Houston.
Houston, Houston, Houston.
Remember, minus 200 for the Royals.
Houston.
Plus 199.
That's not a 400 win swing from worse to first.
And we are in August.
So we're in the dog days, kids.
All right, let us keep moving some music headlines.
Netflix will be releasing a new Quincy Jones documentary
next month.
Is this something you're interested in?
Is it going into how crazy he's gone for the past six months?
I'm hoping.
That's what's going to make him worth watching.
All right, we're unveiling a new segment this week.
Doc, if you'll hit the FX button right there.
And there goes the magic.
Rob's favorite story of the week.
You will not find a story better than this one this week.
But in order for us to go through this story,
we need to go back to last fall to the American Music Awards.
You know how I feel about award shows.
If it ain't the Oscars, if it ain't the Tonys,
if it ain't the Grammys, if it ain't the Emmys,
and I'll give you the Golden Globes.
I'm out.
Because I feel like Country Music has like 19 awards shows a month.
Yeah.
I feel like with Country Music, it's like the WWE Invasion Angle.
If you don't have an award, there's something wrong with you.
But I want to talk about the American Music Awards.
Because for those of you that never watched the American Music Awards,
this was something Dick Clark started decades ago.
And they do it a lot like they do the Billboard Music Awards.
Where if you win an award,
they just give you all of the other awards you've won in the same night at one time.
So you're not coming up multiple times.
You don't have to do one speech.
It saves on time.
It makes sense.
Right?
Everybody with me so far.
I feel like something like that started with Sinatra going,
I ain't walking up more than once.
So Lil Wayne won five awards at the American Music Awards.
I'm sorry, who?
Lil Wayne.
And you know what Tom Griswald says.
If you're a Lil Wayne, I'm not coming to see it.
Don't care if it's Lil Jesus.
But did he?
It was discovered this week that Lil Wayne accepted five awards that night.
Okay.
He won one.
The other four.
Want to Kanye?
We're supposed to go to a little big town.
Not the same.
Oh my God.
And apparently he still has all five of them that is out.
This is the greatest story on the internet this week.
Charlotte has her hand up.
I went to a little Wayne concert at once.
That's why I went.
Did you demand a refund?
He was so messed up that they just played a track of his music the whole time.
Like he couldn't stand up.
He couldn't talk.
He just like was laying there mumbling stuff and they just played his music on a track.
That's pathetic.
Were you just looking at the stage like?
Okay.
I can't claim myself as a fan.
But right above it, the theme song that he did with Drake for Ballers is one of the best things.
Oh, that's a great theme song.
I'm not going to lie to you.
I do enjoy that very much.
I didn't know that was them.
Oh yeah.
That's Lil Wayne featuring Drake.
Two people I could care less about.
How do you mix those two up?
Well, they both start with L.I.
Alphabetically.
He will just round up.
This is my favorite screen of the week.
I read this.
I had to read the story like four times.
I'm like, did I read that right?
Thank God.
Lisa Lowe wouldn't have for anything.
They would have screwed that up too.
Can somebody tell me who Lil Big Town is?
They're a country band.
So please tell me Lil Wayne accepted country music awards.
He didn't know.
They're like, you won these other four.
But my point is getting handed.
He has them.
He originally has them at his house.
I got nothing to follow this.
Somewhere there's four country artists going.
We have a question.
Can we please get a picture of Lil Wayne in some cowboy boots with the awards?
Right.
I will start checking that.
I even had to take the story to my wife and go, am I reading this correctly?
And she's like, yep, that's a thing.
Music, new releases this week.
Chad, our childhood is coming back to Honest.
Doc will know this as well.
A brand new album from Enough's Enough.
Oh my God.
This week.
Do we want to put it over under on how many original members of the band are in it right now?
One.
And it's called Diamond Boy.
Please.
Il Divo is back this week.
Not Divo.
Il Divo.
The Italian guys.
With Timeless.
Jason Morass with a new album this week.
Called No.K.N.O.W.
Nicki Minaj this week.
With Queen.
And Shooter Jennings.
With the very creative title.
Shooter.
Shooter.
I would say that our long national nightmare is over, but it's almost over.
We did have NFL this weekend.
I did not watch the Hall of Fame last night.
I couldn't ring myself to it.
Did you watch it?
I got halfway through and thought, okay, I'm going to try because I had ulterior motives.
But they were unfounded.
How long did Ray Lewis's speech go?
Do we know?
Because he said he wouldn't go longer than 30 minutes.
And Chris Carter told him his house is mine.
I do not know.
Fair enough.
But I believe the line after that was, you know, all you have to do is have Ray Lewis show up at something and he'll go at least 32.
And Chicago did not cover the spread and if you're betting on preseason football, make God have mercy on yourself.
It was two and a half.
It was one and a half and they lost by one.
Oh, they were giving one.
No, they were getting.
Oh, they were getting?
Yes.
So it was a half a point and you know, betting consultant here.
Yeah.
And if you're betting on preseason football, make God have mercy on your soul.
I started asking the other side.
God just told me to go away.
We don't want to do too much with in memoriam this week because we're not in the studio because we're live at Cider Cade.
Which we love this place.
We want to keep the thing moving.
But two big wrestling deaths this week.
Nikolai Volkov and Brian Christopher's son of Jerry Lawler.
Did you happen to see the post from Kevin Lawler regarding the coffin?
No.
Do we want to go into that right now?
I don't know.
It's one of those things.
It's like I shared a great story that I found with you about Brian Christopher.
Returning money for a show that did not succeed.
Which is, you know, nobody else does that.
You got to give the guy a second.
Grand master sex a, which was on the coffin.
Was it?
Yeah.
It was a stealer striped down the middle.
Stealer's emblem at the head.
There you go.
And then in stealer's font, Grand master sex a.
That's amazing.
That's how it's called.
S-E-X-A-Y.
Well, let's get into wrestling talk then, shall we?
No raw headlines this week.
So let's get right into raw.
My first note.
Boo Roman, all you want, Miami.
He's fixing to be your champion.
And boy, how far down the rabbit hole did Brock have to go for then to start chanting
we want Roman at the end?
You know what?
It worked.
It got exactly what they wanted.
And talking about listener being a two sports champion.
Isn't he already a two sports champion?
I believe the word.
I believe the word that Heyman was looking for was concurrent.
Because he has belts in two sports.
Yes.
So.
And from a storytelling standpoint, I'm just going to say it.
Baron Corbin could be one of the most underrated superstars in the roster.
That match with Finn Balor.
I'm sure I was personally in favor of him.
Somebody asked me if that was a hill I wanted to die on at one point.
I'm taking it back.
That match was amazing.
And that dude told the story.
Question.
I'm not going to admit what I'm wrong.
Bobby Lashley get the title shot instead of Roman.
No.
Of how many I would rather watch paint dry than Bobby Lashley.
No, plain simple to agree.
Adam Brock's defenses as few as they are.
How many have always been against Roman?
All but three.
Roman's the guy right now.
Hey, Linda's here.
Hi, Linda.
Linda's not paying attention.
Don't be honest.
Linda's our secretary for who needs sleep.
It's kind of like the thing if you give a guy 200 chances and he can't win.
What's the point of giving it to him again?
Because I think they're telling the story of overcoming the odds.
That's wrestling logic.
I think they should put Bobby Lashley.
I'm just saying.
No.
No.
Lashley is champion.
You're going backwards in my opinion.
Oh, you're not what Brock?
I would rather hit no.
You can't go backwards with the same guy by moving that to him.
I feel that's a backwards.
I'm not going to say that.
I'm not going to say that.
I'm not going to say that.
I'm not, to him.
I feel that's a backwards move.
Especially because Lashley doesn't have a mouthpiece.
At least Lesnar has Hayman.
And if you didn't see that coming at the end of the episode you're Umora.
I missed the announcement May at last.
And I didn't watch Raw last week or the week before now, two weeks ago.
But the replay of Stephanie's announcement.
My god the chills.
Because now we're reading, those of you that don't know October 28th.
October 28th, your October pay-per-view will be WWE Evolution.
It will be the very first time in history of an all-women's pay-per-view.
It's Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK, plus the legends, a 50-women deep roster for this pay-per-view.
I want to go to there right now.
Now, the thinking of how they did that first money in the bank for the women,
do you think they'll have an L's worth at this thing too, and kind of screwball it like they did the first money in the bank?
You know, go ahead, you never know.
John, people listened to the show, so I really wish you hadn't even played at that scene.
That's fair, they said they're not.
We'll see, we've also realized that WWE is now hacking Alex in my text messages too.
Because Alex sent me fantasy booking, and it's happening, like two weeks later.
I'm just saying, WWE is now hacking my text.
And we'll get there when we get there, but we need to give evolution, it's time, because it is a major windfall.
I don't know if they're gonna get a pop from it because they're still the stigma on women's wrestling, but it is, I will say mostly good.
I hope it does gangbuster ratings.
No, so do I, I think it will, and I think it's a great idea.
But will they shoot themselves in the foot, like they've done on so many other things?
I have to put faith in this.
Not your wife, because I don't want her wrestling, because she's not trained.
But I have, on a certain level, I have to have faith in this, because there is so much at stake with this pay-per-view.
This is a bold move.
It's a great move.
I'm very much looking forward to this.
I will be glued to the set.
Unfortunately, I'm sure Michael Cole will be involved.
But, I am very much looking forward to this.
Stephanie Russell, do you think?
No, I think Stephanie will be at the table at most.
I believe Beth Phoenix is going to be at the table.
I'm on board.
I love Beth Phoenix.
But Lita and Trish are both going to be there in some capacity.
This is going to be amazing.
And with the rumors, and I guess they didn't verify this, but I thought they had the rumors of women's tag team titles,
one set of belts, which Chad and I were talking.
We've said for years, that's what you should do with those sets of belts.
One set of belts, you defend them on both shows.
And if that happens, I'm already telling you.
It's going to be Bailey Sasha, you're the first.
I will go against that.
I think you're going to wind up with the iconic's getting a push.
Well, let's cross that bridge if we get to it.
Because I thought that it had been announced, but I guess it hasn't.
No, no, no, we had that discussion.
You thought it had been announced.
It's been teased.
OK.
There's been some leaked photos.
I think they're holding that back today.
And I think that this paper goes to the next level too, because your finals of the May Young Classic will be during that paper.
And I think that what they should do is put every living Hall of Fame member that's a woman on this paper view.
They already have started setting that up for a section in the crowd.
Yeah, for like windy Richter and stuff like that, they should.
Wendy Richter has already turned them down.
Oh, she turned them down really.
And I know that.
She's still bitter.
Really?
Wow.
Medusa?
She's already in.
So I'm very much looking forward to this paper view.
I'm excited.
What happened with Richter?
No offense.
In a nutshell.
She's still holding a grudge from the whole mule thing.
You mean calling the battle world mule or whatever?
No, no, no, no, no.
She was the one who was the original.
Can I say the S job?
The screwdriver?
Yeah, she was the original screwdriver with mule under a hood.
And Vince McMahon had mule basically quick pin and run off with the belt because Richter was going to start going out on the road with the Federation's belt.
Really?
Across the boss?
That was about 40 years ago.
It's been close.
And, you know, we were talking about Lashley a minute ago.
If you're going to sing, can you at least know the words to the song?
Yeah.
What?
Lashley?
What a failed bit that was.
If Lashley didn't look like that, would we ever talk about him?
And I know we're never going to get real cops for these segments.
But if I'm Miami-Dade, I'm calling Vince and going.
This is what you've got to represent us, Vince, really, really.
We could have sent you a couple of guys off duty.
That was bad.
Actually, fun fact, they do use real cops.
However, the ones involved in the bit, the hands-on, are usually pointed.
Well, yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Really?
I mean, maybe one of them that Roman would have shoved.
The other two could have been real cops.
Let's see, where are we?
Is the Mr. Perfect Montage?
Chad, do you remember the Mr. Perfect Montage I used to show all the time?
How he would play all these different sports?
They were fans.
Oh, yes.
Yeah.
Why had I forgotten when he shoots the hockey goal, who he was hanging out with when he did
it?
Is it remember where he's from?
I mean, just so good.
Don't tell me it was Madonna.
It was Madonna.
It was Madonna by God.
Madonna with his mullets in all of its glory.
Oh, it is Soka.
Yes, sir.
I'm still taking him throwing the Hail Mary to himself.
The rainbow funny.
Yeah.
That is my favorite one, yes.
Let's see, where am I?
I'm just saying that the beat team could be my new favorites based on their commentary
on raw alone.
Dear God, that was audio-gold.
Well, think about how many years there are between them doing nothing else, trying to figure
out how to do it.
Did you hear any of this, Chad?
No.
It was on commentary because it was the revival against the leaders of worlds.
And the first thing they say to Axel is, have you been to bed yet?
He's like, I have not gone to bed yet.
We always knew that Bo Dallas had great charisma, but he is in the stratosphere with his
charisma right now.
It is nothing short of brilliant.
The beat stands for dreams, like, come on.
And I've never seen anybody say something that ridiculous, what has straight up a face
is that.
Oh wait.
Are you talking about you thinking you have a straight face saying ridiculous things?
And for Angle to call Lesnar the worst universal champion of all time, haven't there only been
like four of them?
Yeah.
Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Roman Erickson, Seth Rollins hasn't been a universal champion.
I thought he wanted.
No, no, no.
He had the WWE.
Okay, so Seth, I'm sorry, Finn, Lesnar, Reyne Owens, I'm just, I'm in an order, I'm just
name it.
Oh, okay.
Oh, that's four.
Owens Goldberg.
Oh, yeah.
Reyne's has not had it, so you have, you have Balor Owens of Lesnar and Goldberg.
So it's been four.
Yeah.
That's not set in the bar real high.
That's kind of argue that he's right.
And this show lasted longer than Balor's reigns.
Oh.
Nice.
So let's get into some other headlines.
Madison Reign now will be part of the May Young Classic.
I believe it says Ashley Reign.
Is that what they're using here?
I think there's something like that.
And I didn't know she's been married to Josh Matthews for the last three years.
You were incredibly bitter about that.
He way outkicked his coverage, it's all I'm saying.
Let's see, Alistair Black may not make takeover and this is upsetting me greatly because
Alex and I were talking this week and there were rumors circulating that after Summer
Slam there's going to be some more NXT movements and there was going, there they were planning
on a Alistair Black Randy Orton angle, which I was very interested in.
And cosine here, but they do fear that he tore his groin out and he did have surgery and
the minimum is three weeks.
So that's unfortunate.
And I like him.
I like him a lot.
And Chad, I think you would dig him.
I really do.
We were talking about that at lunch yesterday.
He's come a long way on the mic, too.
Agreed.
Don?
Nothing.
Oh, on the chance that you're going to say something.
But I will coast on for the NXT.
Champa is your best champion right now.
Not as good as that Twitter beef.
I saw this, but Adam Cole and Champa had a bit of an exchange on Twitter the other day
where they showed all the champions because they have three of the five belts.
And so the women's champion and the NXT champion, he just wrote the initials UE over
their faces for undisputed era.
And Champa just replied, stay in your lane, boy.
Somebody get LaVar ball on the phone.
That's how you do it.
Don't.
Don't, please.
No.
Kane is now the mayor of, what is it, Nox County, Tennessee?
Nox County, Tennessee.
You want the pre-web?
No, that's the big one.
He has one.
Oh, that's the big one.
Victory speech, they did play slow chemical, which I think is great.
It's fantastic.
If you watch, if you watch the video they did to basically advertise his victory speech,
they plugged in the music.
It's not in the background, it's awesome.
And this SF FS1 deals getting interesting because FS1 wants to be all in, no pun intended,
with WWE.
They're saying now they want to carry some of the pay per views.
They also want to do a midweek in studio show that's WWE centric.
So, they could be early ideas on that or when McMahon had his own talk show on Saturdays.
Yikes.
Well, this is not Tuesday night tightens, I think it will be fine.
But yeah, I mean, given how bad they got burnt by, by impact, this is impressive.
I think they're trying to stick it to impact with that.
No, we'll see.
But do they really have to?
I'm really on board with the idea of NXT on Fox 4th one.
So I would hope so, and you know what, NXT's on Hulu too.
Because when I was watching Smackdown, because I watched Smackdown without commercials
on Hulu, like as it was ending, it was said up next, NXT, and I was like, okay, look
at that.
Chad's got a picture of Kane with his vote for Glen Jacob.
And there's a tiny little flame.
Chad, you have something on the deal.
Yeah, there's a tiny little flicker of flame next to the end in his name.
We'll neither confirm nor deny that Doc just went up there just to vote and then came back.
Well, there was a good story about that, that he was basically glad handing and talking to people.
Somebody blew a tire and he stopped glad handing to help them change the tire and then went back.
That is the Glen Jacobs you're talking about, that won the election.
And not a dentist, which is, and his campaign target was together, we win.
Yeah.
I said, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Just a couple of Smackdown notes.
So basically we ended raw, the way we opened Smackdown live with a heel champion doing an
emotional plea that we all know would go sideways.
Let's see, I respect the Uso's, I like the Uso's, I enjoy the Uso's.
I'm waiting for that shoot, but here's the thing, you wouldn't have known if I hadn't told
you.
That is also true.
The set of sound like it was going to a very darned place.
They're pandering with their t-shirts just like Lesnar does.
We're still going there.
And there's the, they were in Tampa for Smackdown live and the t-shirts read Florida since
day one ish, because that's their bit, right, respect until I looked at them closer.
I'm trying not to curse here because it's a family chef.
They were garnet gold.
You're in Tampa, you're in Tampa, you're not in Tallahassee, you're in Tampa.
What's in Tampa, man?
University of South Florida, you go pound sand, that's my college, sir.
You leave my college alone, man.
You leave my college alone, man.
Win a championship sometimes soon.
We did.
So they're in Tampa and they had what?
You're not going to for a while.
Man, what color on it?
Florida State's colors.
Aren't they the same as the Buccaneers?
That would be, that would be too.
Somebody stop me because I'm about to kill him.
I'm about to kill him.
I'm about to commit murder in this place right now.
There's no gold in Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They have gold in the thing.
It is not garnet gold.
That is red and pewter.
I will kill you.
This is by far my favorite segment, so far.
I can't talk right now.
You have besmirched the name of my beloved Buccaneers.
I'm looking.
Garnet and gold would be the Washington football team, sir.
That's Garnet and gold.
See, there's gold right there.
Do you see gold?
But it's not Garnet and gold.
That's pewter, Don.
That's not Garnet and gold.
Don, would he be this passionate if he didn't know what he was talking about?
Why has gold color regarded gold?
I know what Garnet and gold are.
OK.
It's worth that.
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
It's just...
Fantastic.
Oh, make it out of gold.
I thought it was gold.
I didn't know it was pewter.
You're not helping yourself right now.
And by technical definition, their actual colors are orange and red.
Thank you.
Maybe that was their thinking.
I don't know.
Now, currently over here, googling a will to live, and we're failing miserably.
Faith?
Huh?
No!
No!
No!
Stop talking!
I will say, though, during the tag match on SmackDown Live, the new day did commentary
from their own table, and it was brilliant.
Biggie introduced himself as the master of the pecs, and then Kofi introduced himself
as awkward pecs.
Yeah, they had pantakes on them, and they did a little picture and picture.
That picture and picture should have been there the entire time, because it was brilliant.
And what exactly was the quote-on-quote dancing in Lama's intro?
That was incredibly awkward.
I think you just described Lana's intro normally as an incredible-
Yeah, but given who she was in the match with, I think you were probably a happy camp counselor, sir.
We don't have to go in.
Oh, well, she's not coming.
No!
Wow!
Yeah, it's Sean's not coming.
So I can get all about this.
Her and Zelina Vega.
Zelina Vega.
She doesn't listen to the show.
So I can say, hey, Zelina Vega, if you're listening, I will totally win my victory.
I'm talking over this, just so that way he doesn't get caught for that.
But we did, I did do some research, and Zelina Vega is five foot one, and was born during the winter break of my senior year in high school.
So...
I don't know if I was born yet.
But her headband looked like really cool mini-ears, which they were close out to Orlando that would have worked.
And I really dig the mist, the suit the Miz was wearing on Tuesdays.
There's no way I can pull that suit off, but I like the suit he was wearing.
It was a really awkward segment with him in Daniel Bryan.
Yeah, that didn't land how they wanted it to.
I don't think it landed.
Yeah, I think it's still sitting up there in the sky.
Well, they tried to save it with a separate video online posted, where the Miz just talked for himself.
Anything else anybody has any new news from resting that I missed this week?
No, for the love of God, let's get out of the segment before you have another conniption fit.
Oh, no, no, no, if we come back to football, that's the problem.
Oh, God, why?
That's the problem area.
Charlotte has a question.
I don't have a question, I just wanted to say I sport floor seats to the show in September, that's all.
That's my girl.
Wrong.
All right, I'm not allowed to think about September yet.
Let's, he's trying to go to the column of sell.
Oh, no, no, no, I can't.
That's the same night as the Game of Thrones show.
Oh, yes.
What game of the throwing?
The Game of Thrones concert.
Game of Thrones concert.
We'll talk about it after.
That's finally coming here.
We'll talk about it after the year.
I'll say night is hell in the cell.
I know which one I'd rather go to.
I have a commitment to the show.
I'm just saying.
All right, let's get into box office numbers from our friends at box office mojo.
Dropping out of the top 10 this week, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom hot garbage.
Drops from 8 to 11 this week, seven weeks,
$405.6 million on $170 million budget.
They're going to be okay.
Let's see, skyscraper drops from 9 to 14.
This one's going to hurt.
Now granted, internationally, it's making a ton of money.
Oh, it's going to make more than it needs to.
$125 million dollar budget domestically.
$64.5.
No, no, I really want the
$125 million dollar budget.
Yeah, skyscraper has domestically made 64 and a half.
Now again, internationally, it's destroying.
I don't even know if they made the movie intending for it to be good domestically.
I don't think I did.
I want to argue as to English spoken in the movie versus Chinese.
It's up right into my culture, you're up to the side.
There you go.
In this movie, I really want to know the percentage
because they're really angling at the Asian market with this.
And the first purge drops from 10 to 15 this week,
five weeks, $67.8 million dollars, $13 million dollar budget.
I saw it.
Garbage.
It was an absolute garbage.
Did you see it?
Yes, I saw it.
It was terrible.
Spoiler alert.
It's on the bottom of my list.
So...
Stop giving people ideas with these stupid movies.
Who am I giving an idea?
The purge.
I didn't give anybody an idea for that.
That was a lie.
There was a lie.
There was a lie.
People who created the movies just stop giving people ideas.
It's going to happen.
It's fair.
Dropping from five to 10 this week.
Teen Titans go to the movies.
$4.9 million dollars, two weeks, $20.8 million dollars, $10 million dollar budget.
You mean it?
You mean it?
Yeah.
You give it to me?
I gave it to me.
You saw it.
Dropping from seven to nine this week.
Incredibles two, $5 million dollars, $8 weeks, $583 million dollars.
They're going to be okay.
I don't know.
I do not have the budget on that.
Let's see.
Darkest minds.
Dave used in eighth place this week.
I was kind of bummed I missed that screening.
I wanted to see that.
$5.8 million dollars.
And it's a $34 million budget.
Could go either way.
Ant man on the wasp drops from six to seven this week.
$6.2 million dollars, $5 weeks.
$195.5 million dollars.
Hey, Devin, did you hear the...
I don't think you hear me dead.
Did you hear the concept that Mark Bernardin floated about the MCU?
That he would pay $50 just to watch a two-hour version of Michael Peña doing what he does
and Ant man for the entire MCU story?
Co-sign.
I would never pay for that.
I'm totally in on that.
Let's see.
Hotel Transylvania 3 summer vacation drops from 4 to 6 this week.
$8.2 million dollars, $4 weeks, $137 million dollars, $80 million budget.
I very much enjoyed that film.
Not as much as I enjoyed the other two, but it was fun.
It's my least favorite of the three, but it's still fun.
Equalizer 2 drops from 5 to 3, $8.9 million dollars, drops from 5 to 3.
3 to 5.
Okay.
Strike that.
Reverse it.
Let's see.
Equalizer 2, $3 weeks, $79.9 million dollars, $62 million budget.
I very much enjoyed this film.
Still haven't seen the first one.
It's so different from the first one, and I think that's what I dug about it the most.
Actions exclusive, 402.
402, thank you, Don, because I don't have the arses feed in front of me.
Dropping from 2 to 4 because Don has not paid for it yet, and I blame him for the fall.
Mama Mia 2, here we go again.
$9.1 million dollars, $3 weeks, $91 million, $70 million.
You can't dance.
You haven't seen it yet.
No, no, no, no, no.
You have failed in your commitment to the Mama Mia franchise.
You've lost your credibility.
You have failed this franchise.
I will be in next week numbers.
Mama and I have a date scheduled for next weekend.
Thank you.
I was could've gone in at the Asian, but I was devastated.
I got a question.
Stop calling Mama Mia a franchise.
You know what's going to happen.
No, I don't.
It does not do, because you know me and people like me.
No, no, that's fine.
What are you going to do?
Are you going to get Cher's grandmother to be a part of the next one?
Cher is her own grandmother at this point.
Fight your tongue, sir.
Cher is a national treasure, and I will not have you disparaging her good name from our podcast.
How much of her is still Cher, and how much of it is plastic?
She is Robo Cher at this point.
The debuting in the bronze medal position, the spy who dumped me.
Was there even a screening for this?
No, no.
$12.4 million, $40 million budget on this.
38 of it went to Mila Kunis.
Disney's Christopher Robin debused in the silver medal position.
$25 million.
I don't have a budget on that.
I enjoyed it.
Nobody's going to beat Mission Impossible Fallout.
Another $35 million this week.
Two weeks, $124 million, $178 on the budget.
But I guarantee you, international is crushing.
Absolutely.
It's got the same method.
I enjoyed this project.
I choose Excessive 404.
Thank you, Don.
Hey, I want to say to Cher.
I saw unprinted dark web.
And the purge in the same day.
Real romantic time for me and that wife.
But I did love that unprinted.
Yeah.
That was, I wasn't back to your review after seeing it.
It's like, oh, now I know it's talking about it.
Okay, yeah.
I want to talk to you often about the ending, the alternate ending.
Yeah, I do want to know if you guys saw this.
I want to know if we saw the same one.
Yeah, I guess.
But it made you think.
Yes, it does.
Devon, Devon, we were talking about the multiple endings
for unprinted dark web a couple of weeks ago.
Are we right being under the impression that both endings
were sent with every print because of the digital
and it was random?
I missed the first part of that, sorry.
Unprinted dark web.
Yeah.
Two different endings.
Yes.
We're both, we're both ending ship with every print
because it's digital and it could pick one.
Yes.
Okay, so we were, we were right on that.
Yeah.
It was really interesting to see if Don and Chad
saw the same ending.
So it's like, it's clue all over again.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
That's pretty much it.
And I want more of that.
I do too.
I like it.
I think it's great.
I want to roll back.
The only person who saw Christopher Robin and I'm not sold on that
was Jen.
I want to hear more on whether or not that's worth it.
I talked to him.
He said you enjoyed it.
Yeah, yeah.
It is worth it.
It was quite enjoyable.
Do take some tissues.
Get real close on that because they're very good.
There you go.
There you go.
It's enjoyable.
It's not year to four children.
I mean, it's family friendly.
But it's not your lovable Winnie the Pooh animated.
It's live action.
It's real life.
It looks great.
They did a really good job with it.
And there's some things in it where there's some characters
that kind of remind you like some live humans that kind of
remind you of Eor and Kanga and Rue and Piglet.
You just kind of have to pay attention for some of the hidden
things in it.
Well, speaking of Christopher Rob, by the way,
the incredible Sue has now passed a billion worldwide.
But speaking of Christopher Rob and did you know it's not getting a
release in China?
Yes, I did.
Did you hear why?
Yes, I did.
If you watched last week tonight with John Oliver, he didn't
episode recently, which now has gotten his show banned in China.
Because their current leader, a lot of people are comparing
him to Winnie the Pooh.
Oh, that's right.
And half for a long time.
So because of that, Christopher Robyn is not getting a release in
China.
They banned it.
And now our show will now be banned in China.
Oh, how shallow of a person you have to be for that.
Call me bastard.
Charlotte Parker.
So is it Xi Jinping?
Is that what is that what we call him now?
I'm telling you, that episode of John Oliver was brilliant.
Because he said, I know you're going to bleep this out.
So here's what we're going to do.
And he had, what was it?
It was Gilbert Godfried was reading Trump tweets or something.
Yes, that's what it was.
It was brilliant.
I love that show so much.
Last week's was a little more serious.
Because it was sexual harassment in the workplace.
And he actually interviewed Anita Hill.
I finally watched it last week.
That was a really good episode, but kind of different for what he does.
I still want to see one clinker episode of last week tonight.
Because as long as it's in its fourth series at this point, I think.
I believe one season four, yes.
Yeah.
Show me one clunker.
No.
That writing team.
Everybody that works on that.
I mean, those are combined with his delivery.
Yes.
And it is the perfect execution and just a phenomenal writing team.
And they work for months on each episode vetting the information,
honing it to just like Razor's edge.
Good God HBO hitter.
And the people who get to do that show with him.
Did HBO come in with like a hammer offer on that crew
before they got something on Comedy Central?
I believe they came in with a huge offer to say,
look, dump everything you're doing at Comedy Central.
Come do your whatever you want here.
And HBO knows what they're doing.
And that's writing season five.
Okay.
And one of the segments this week.
Next on.
When they did the thing on Facebook.
And they did their fake Facebook commercial.
Did you see who the narrator was?
No.
That was Mill Titch.
Like the people they get to do that show.
Like it's insane.
And I just, I love that show so much.
And I'm looking forward to tonight's episode.
So.
Did you see this Andy Circus thing?
Yeah.
You and I were talking about him yesterday.
His locally film is not going to get a theatrical.
But he's though he's cool with it.
It's going straight to Netflix.
But there's something that came with it.
He hasn't even started on it yet.
But Netflix has already bought his adaptation of Animal Farm.
Wow.
And my favorite, it's my favorite headline of the week.
The headline for that story on IMDB was.
So you know that book you read in high school.
It's going to be a movie.
Yeah.
The book you hated reading in high school.
Get ready for it.
And he's going to do Animal Farm.
And Netflix has already said no.
We'll buy it.
We're in.
Charlotte loves Animal Farm.
We had to take a class called.
That's how long ago I was in high school.
It was called Americanism versus Communism.
So animal Communism is okay.
Charlotte is nodding her head.
The Charlotte is a carnivore.
That's why that's fair.
Let's see what else.
Rebecca Ferguson has joined the men in black reboot
with Tiffany Haddish and the M'sworth.
Tessa Thompson.
Oh, Tessa Thompson.
What?
Tiffany Haddish is doing that other movie,
the night's one movie.
Alexandra Dodario in serious talks to play
Huntress in Bird of Prey.
Alexandra Dodario.
How you doing?
Are you allowed to at that point?
Is there too much of an age discrepancy on that map?
Depends on what you're going to have.
And you're also going to have Vanessa Kirby is rumored
to play Black Canary.
So basically they're taking all of her friends
and putting it in there.
Let's see Antoine Fuqua wants Denzel
for the Scarface remake.
When does he not want Denzel?
When do we not, you know, Denzel?
Great.
Okay, great.
Don't need another Scarface remake.
Great director.
Great actor.
Uh-huh.
But.
Don't want another Scarface remake.
It's already been done once.
No.
No.
I mean, there was already the Scarface from like the 30s
and then I did this one.
Right.
But this one, but see, how do you,
how does he want Denzel given the way
they're supposed to do that film?
Because this is supposed to be about the Mexican
growing time.
Some things you just don't.
Cuban.
One of these kids is doing his own thing.
Going on.
Uh, let's see.
So people, one of the things that people have been
talking about lately is with Disney doing their own
streaming service,
are we going to lose the Star Wars movies
on other services?
The answer is no.
The Star Wars films are not going to make it
to the Disney streaming service until 2024
because of the current deals in place.
Because of the deal with Turner.
Correct.
I think that's got more to do with the new thing.
Correct.
So we know we're getting Venom here in a couple of months.
I saw the new trailer.
My jury is still out.
I'm on.
I'm on.
I'm way on.
But Sony wanted to keep the dream alive,
now developing a film based on Craven The Hunter.
I heard some fantasy bookings on that
where people are asking,
how much would it take Momoa to jump over for that?
Oh, wow.
I like the way they portrayed him in the Ultimate Universe
because he was basically the crocodile hunter
and they killed him in like one episode
or one issue.
I don't know that I need this in my life.
A Venom film?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Craven.
Either one of them.
Oh God, yeah, we need a Venom film.
We've needed one ever since.
No, it doesn't exist.
It doesn't exist.
Okay, yeah.
We'll talk about it.
I mean, you know I'm in on anything Tom Hardy.
You know I love Tom Hardy.
Did you see the,
I'm sure he's a him for Capone or notorious
or whatever they're calling it?
At this point, he is totally unrecognizable
and I'm sorry.
Because he's Tom Hardy.
No, no, no, no.
There's enough makeup on him
that you sit there and you go.
Tom Hardy might be playing the make.
I'm not sure.
I hope he is.
I genuinely want to see that.
But no, I'm totally in him.
I just don't know that the Venom film
is something that I want.
I...
I'll go.
Don't give me a wrong.
20 years.
Yeah, I've always been the anti-hero fan though.
Same here.
Yeah.
So we're the here at the table.
Earlier in the show,
I said to remember to put a pin in something
because we were going to come back to it later in the show.
Charlotte will let me.
Because we were talking about the fact
that here at Sidercade,
and we love this joint so much,
they have the diehard arcade game.
Are you ready for diehard year one?
No.
No.
It's coming.
And Bruce Willis is helping cast
the young Jamaican.
Charlotte has described that.
Do you declare shenanigans?
No, no, no.
That is saying no.
I agree.
I don't need this.
I don't need this.
No.
No.
No.
I agree.
I mean, really, it died two films ago.
Who has Reginald Bell-Johnson's?
You know what?
I'm giving you this.
Nicely played, sir.
Nicely played.
Boy, you got Devon Hunter
of the sports collar.
I just diehard year one.
I can't get Batman year one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm gonna get diehard year one.
The first part is, you know they know it's gonna be bad
when the first article that comes out is,
who's gonna be the young Holly Jenaro?
And it's like, Yikes.
Somewhere just in long was going,
can I get that taken off my resume, please?
There's a lot of people.
Kevin Smith, can I turn on the Sunshine,
the spotless mind myself on that entire chapter?
All right.
So, movies coming out in places you see new releases this week.
A movie that Don has already seen.
He had to go, he went to go stretch his legs a little bit.
Dog days.
And he speaks very highly of it.
His review will come later this week.
That comes out on Wednesday.
We just talked about the Meg.
I'm totally on that.
I should, the only thing that will make this movie worth it for me
is if somebody looks at that shark and just says,
shut up Meg.
That's all I want.
It's an interesting tidbit on that.
The Chinese production company on it
is the same people that did skyscraper.
So, I'm waiting for that language barrier.
Devon, can't do it this week
because I'm gonna be out of town for the weekend.
But the following weekend,
can you think of any better film
to take a gaggle of people and see it the drive in theater?
You know what, that's fair point.
I will accept that as point.
I thought you were gonna say the big show.
Well, the big show is good.
I don't know if they're gonna screen it there
because it might not be set for big format.
I think it is.
You've got it.
Yeah.
It's called the Meg.
I do like the Iran.
I do like the Jaws parody one sheet
that's got the dog swimming in the mix up underneath.
That looks funny.
I've been waiting on this movie forever
because I read the book when it first got published.
Years ago.
The whole of the book, big shark eats people
and they have fun with it.
And Jason Statham.
And believe it, there are at least three other books in the series.
I'm not even gonna call him by his real name.
And White Truth.
I can't think of Jason Statham anymore without,
okay, here's your YouTube assignment.
I want you kids to search for Jason Statham 90s music videos
because for...
But before he was...
Chance already typing.
Before there was the action stuff,
one of them is the shaman.
It's one of their lesser hits.
No, it's one of their lesser hits.
But it's a black and white clip.
And Jason Statham in just like glittery bronze goodness
with like almost a speedo, like a silver speedo,
just like grinding away at the entire...
He's in two or three music videos
and all of them are absolute freaking gold.
Well, no.
If you want another one to go with that,
look up his Japanese commercials.
They are highlights.
That's why they're gonna be on the same time.
It would be great for him to be on the same time.
The ratio was the other video.
That's right.
It's like a weird kind of a red square kind of thing
and he's dancing on a building
and...
Oh, Jason Statham.
Who's movie career is based on
beginning to high in front of guy...
Have you ever heard Callie Indo talk about
how he learned to do his Jason Statham impersonation?
No, it was Kevin Pollock.
He said the thing about to do Jason Statham.
You remember six words.
Do you know what...
Seven words.
What I mean.
And then you just have to have a British accent
and talk very softly and...
I'm gonna rip your head off.
And I'm gonna feed it to you the other end.
That's it.
That's all you need.
That's how he learned to do Jason Statham.
Also this week's Slender Man.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Out.
Snuck up on you, and it's one of the most haunting trailers I've seen in a long time
And it's got Josh from the last week, are you talking about dark as mine?
Dark as mine.
Sorry, yes.
I'm making sure it's from where we go.
Yeah, because that is two different flicks, yeah.
But yeah, dark as mine, I bummed that I missed the screening because I really want to see it looks great.
I wanted to actually do well because it's from everything I've heard it's some really daring filmmaking.
So for a young adult flick, that's, you know, it's pretty dark.
Yeah, especially as we're getting ready for new mutants next year.
Oh, yeah.
And when you look at what's going on with immigration and separating kids from their families,
they locked this thing months before the administration starts doing that stuff.
So you're watching it now going, my God, could this have been any more timely?
Also, we're going to have a prayer before dawn this week.
I heard very good things about this.
The true story of an English boxer incarcerated in one of Thailand's most notorious prisons
as he fights in Muay Thai tournaments to earn his freedom.
It's a fascinating story.
I heard it's great.
Also, Summer of 84.
This is a very strange looking film about a bunch of kids who suspect their cop neighbor
of being a serial killer.
It looked, the trailer looks fascinating, but out.
Also, Madeline's Madeline, which sounds very meta.
Are you talking about Madeline's mandolin?
I know, I thought it was called Madeline's Madeline.
I really don't know.
I'm guessing.
See, now you're making me, yeah, it's Madeline's Madeline.
Okay.
I wrote the run sheet.
I know.
I'm guessing.
A theater director's latest project takes on a life of its own when her young star
takes her performance too seriously.
And a movie called State Kitchen.
This looks really interesting.
Is this a documentary?
Oh, no, it's a drama.
A teenage skateboarder makes friends with a bunch of other skateboarding girls in New York City.
It looks really interesting.
Yeah, I'm in for that one.
I want to say we talked to the filmmakers of this at one point at one of the film festivals that we were.
Is you sounding familiar?
DVD and Blu-ray New Releases in places you get a DVD and Blu-ray New Releases this week.
A life of the party with the Melissa McCarthy.
I very much enjoyed this film.
More than I probably should have.
I really, really enjoyed this film.
On Chessel Beach did not.
Hot garbage.
I still remember the way you said I hate describing movies like this.
But it is very British.
Incredibly British.
Also the writer, which the gentleman I both very much enjoyed if I remember correctly.
Yes.
This is one of those films that blurs the line between narrative and documentary.
Excellent, excellent, excellent, excellent film.
A movie called Revenge with a bunch of...
That looks twist.
It'd ever take your mistress on an annual guy's getaway, especially one devoted to hunting.
Yeah, that don't work out well for them.
Yeah.
As Rob would say, so it's a feel-good movie.
And a movie that Don could not have hated more.
You get an N-rated director's cut this week of breaking in with the Gabrielle Union.
Don couldn't...
Like the venom Don's spewed at that film could not have been any more toxic if it tried.
But you're getting the unrated director's cut, so that'll make it worse.
Also DC animated's new version of the death of Superman this week.
Not Superman versus Doomsday.
Odd?
The limited edition of the changeling.
Oh, okay.
Prairie Bee.
And the 30th anniversary edition with a playset for The Land Before Time.
Oh, God.
30th anniversary, sir.
Yeah, I think it's a box set of every single film in the series.
Real fast changeling, wasn't that the Angelina Jolie?
No, this is like in the early 80s.
Okay, I thought you were talking about that one.
That was changeling, with the Angelina Jolie or whatever.
That was taking lives.
And I will say I know it's not out yet, but I had mentioned in my review I would be pre-ordering after it.
Yeah, order's been placed.
So when it does come out.
Do they give you a release date on it yet?
They probably did, but I kind of wasn't paying attention to that.
I was pie, pie, pie.
I love that movie so much.
So I will be owning that one.
Alright, one quick item for Tech Corner.
And I'm very, very, very torn.
Did you guys know I'm not big on buying video games?
Because I'm not good at them anymore.
Even though I like being here at Cidercade because they have games I can actually play.
Because they have like House of the Dead 2 over their time crisis gun games I can do classic video games.
August, oh, upgrade August 28th.
Does it have three weeks to wait?
Yay.
But every year when WWE does their new video game.
There's always a superstar that has a limited edition version you can buy.
Last year was the one China.
They did an undertaker version a couple of years ago.
This year is the woo version.
Let me tell you what's in this thing.
Doc, pay attention.
Don, don, don, have you heard about this?
The Ric Flair Special Edition of WWE 2K19.
No.
Listen very carefully.
You get the game, of course.
You get Exclusible, Exclusible.
Exclusive playable versions of Piper, Dusty and Ricky Steamboat.
You get playable Savage in his WrestleMania 8 gear and 2002 undertaker.
You're going to get Starcade 83 as a playable arena.
You're going to get also playable Flair in his WrestleMania 24 robe.
And Charlotte in her WrestleMania 32 robe.
Which is made of pieces of Flair's 24 robe.
Yeah, the Starcade 83.
Was that the one with the scaffold match?
No, I believe that was Flair Dusty and the Cage.
If you play the super card game that they have,
you'll get a limited edition cards for AJ Styles and an AJ-themed card back
as well as ones for Flair and Charlotte, but no card back for Charlotte, just Flair.
You're going to get a fanatics limited edition commemorative plaque featuring a fabric piece
from either Ric's pink robe or his purple robe.
I don't know why.
You're going to get an exclusive Flair Funko Pop figurine.
Which is totally adorable.
And you're going to get, this is the one that's killing me.
This is the one that killed me.
Flair for the gold, yeah.
Starcade 83, Flair for the gold.
An individually numbered replica WWE Hall of Fame ring.
Wow.
How much is this thing going to cost?
120.
You know, I'm kind of in on it.
So for those of us that are on the podcast, watch the wrestling,
maybe we can all chip together and buy Rob our Christmas gift.
Like, that's the seller for me.
The Hall of Fame ring is the seller for me.
And it's probably going to be made of plastic, but I don't care.
It's a Hall of Fame ring.
And the interesting thing for that is the ring doesn't do it as much for me,
as everything else.
I was in it, Savage is old.
Yeah, the Savage is WrestleMania eight.
The Korean, the crap.
Yeah, cup of coffee.
Boy, if they had that promo in there, I would lose my mind.
I'm so winded.
Yeah.
Okay, I normally give you crap.
That was pretty good.
That dude's promos were nothing short of brilliant.
Please fight over it.
Looking for the bunch of man.
Yeah.
I just.
I am looking at a picture of this thing.
Oh, yeah.
Let me, let me, let me.
No, no.
Can you get it close up on the ring?
Because I want to see the ring.
But here's the real one.
The Funko pop is the one that I really want to see with the Funko pop looks like to.
The Funko pop has big gold on them.
Oh, you're going to love it.
Look at it.
Look at the Funko pop.
Oh, I can't come in.
It went away.
Oh, it's old school Flarey's got the shades on.
Yes.
I don't know.
Do you recognize the outfit?
I can't see it well enough.
I can't see it.
It's the Alligators.
There it is.
Can't hold these Alligators down.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Literally, I hate doing a f***ing work.
It was a piece of shit.
It was EXJAMISE for the three-piece.
Oh, it wasn't in the slow motion.
Look.
Look.
Look.
Let me see.
Look.
Look.
Look at this.
Look.
Look.
Okay.
Now, it's time to peel out thegga.
which worse would it be if there were select ones,
collector's editions that did have it open.
But you gotta be careful in the fun copop.
You have to show Charlotte that.
Charlotte, what you missed, we were talking about
they're doing a Ric Flair exclusive edition
for WWE 2K19.
You have to see the fun cop that comes with it,
and you get a replica Hall of Famering.
But wait until you see the Flair fun cop,
it's nothing short of genius.
All right, we're running out of show,
so let's go to the list.
We end every episode of the show,
by the way you are, we'll see you to the Clubhouse podcast,
make sure you subscribe with us.
On your favorite podcast app, check us out everywhere.
We are everywhere.
Every show we end with a list
and this episode is no different.
Our 450th episode, and we still can't figure out
how to do this.
So I just got off the road, as I said earlier,
I was right outside of Columbus this past week.
Next week I'll be going to our Las Vegas office.
And I thought what I'd do for this week,
because before we've done my travel tips.
But I wanna switch it up a little bit,
and I wanna do my top 10 travel tips
for when you get to your destination.
Well, you gotta take your shoes off,
and then you gotta throw stuff you gotta do.
Make fists with your toes.
Number 10, make sure your GPS is updated,
as soon as you get off the plane.
Because a lot of times your GPS will only have loaded
the area that you're in normally.
So your maps have to update for the city you're going to.
And sometimes it can take a little while,
especially if your rental car is in a garage.
So do that when you're in the terminal,
and you have a strong signal.
Number nine, only rent a car if you're really confident.
There are certain cities I will not rent a car in.
I won't rent a car in New York City.
I won't rent a car in Boston.
Doc knows what I'm talking about,
because his lady is from that area.
He got the tee.
But like, when I go to Vegas, I'll rent a car.
Pro tip for Vegas, don't turn left like the GPS tells you,
take two rights, and it'll take you straight to the strip.
I'm not going to strip this time.
I've been there done that.
But your bigger cities, if I ever have to go to Chicago,
I probably wouldn't rent a car.
Just because I would rather uber it everywhere
and not deal with the madness.
Number eight, commit to as little time
in the hotel as possible.
That's a lot of mistakes that people make.
I've traveled, and yes, the hotel should just be
for where you sleep and take a shower and change clothes.
And store your stuff.
Yeah, and store your stuff, the clock.
Go out there and do stuff, you know?
Number seven, don't let weather deter you
from finding stuff to do.
Mikey was in Baltimore recently,
and he said it right in the whole time.
I don't care, I'm gonna go find stuff to do.
There's stuff you can do inside.
If only the inner harbor.
Yeah, well, he said they didn't get to come there.
Yeah, I love the inner harbor.
I love it.
Number six, and this is something that the moderate
taught me when I was very, very young
because she traveled a lot.
Whenever, especially if you move to a new city,
drive on a different street every day.
Drive on a street that you haven't been on every day,
especially in the age of GPS, you can't get lost.
Well, I know some people I can't even with GPS,
but that's fair.
It's not as easy if it used to be.
Right, because that way, when I was in Ohio,
I was like, you know what, I wonder where this road goes.
And if I got lost, I just get on Apple Maps
and take me right back to where I was going.
Number five, find something to bring back
so you can start a collection of something.
I know people that like, I collect shot glasses
from every state, I collect this, I collect that.
Something that's going to help you remember
that specific trip.
I know somebody that bought one of those big posters
that you put all the state magnets on, you know,
something different.
Number four, don't go nuts at the grocery store.
Know how long you're going to be somewhere
and just get enough.
For instance, if you follow us on Instagram
at the Clubhouse podcast, all three words in that order,
you saw this past week, when I was in Ohio,
I found Melo Yellow Zero in the store.
I'm very excited about this.
Did I buy a 12 pack on Monday night?
Yes, I did.
Did I leave Thursday afternoon?
Yes, I did.
Did I consume all 12 of them before I went to the airport?
Yes, I did.
Did you find out how I can get a ship to you?
So, what chain was it?
It was Kruger.
Kruger.
Here's the problem.
I thought to myself, I can't get it in Dallas.
I can't find it in Dallas.
I'll go to Amazon and do it that way.
I saw a contraire moan frair,
a 12 pack of Melo Yellow Zero on Amazon is $24 freaking dollars.
But did you talk to Kruger?
Talk to your lover?
They said it's a regional thing.
I went to Kruger's website, not even available.
And which company is it that makes it...
Pepsi?
I'd say...
It's a Coke product, I apologize.
I'd reach out.
I'd reach out to the corporate and say,
hey, look, I want this product because...
HBO, help a brother out.
I'm diabetic, help a brother out.
And I think your regular Melo Yellow,
it would kill me, but I could get it.
Right, and we don't want you dead.
We want you alive.
And then they'll get like free airtime on our show
because we'd love them to sponsor and send it to you.
Show me.
But you're crazy.
But you didn't know that it's going to get you through,
so that way you're not having,
especially because I like to stay in places
like the residents in.
So I can have a fridge and I can have an ice maker and stuff.
So that you're not having to throw
a bunch of stuff out when you leave.
Portion it out.
Again, energy drinks get me through.
Might give me a half a gallon of milk
because I like to have milk every day.
Do the thing.
I'm a little bit different on that one.
When I travel to a place, I like to make sure
I have budgeted to eat out at places
that I've never gone to.
You get ahead of me, you get ahead of the list.
I have to.
Number three, no, as you're, if you're going to rent a car
and Doc will attest to this,
if you're going to rent a car as you're leaving the airport,
mark where the closest gas station is
so that you can refuel.
One of the worst things you can have happen to you
is you're like, oh, I'll just go closer to the airport
and there's not a gas station you can find.
Now, if you're close enough, just get it as you're getting closer.
But always map out where the gas stations are
because that way you don't get screwed
and have to pay $19 a gallon when they refuel the car.
Number two, put the important stuff on social media.
I don't need to see a picture every block.
Now, if there's something significant
like friend of the show Rachel Wimberly,
she just went up to Cooperstown
for the Hall of Fame induction
and she saw a lot of cool stuff in New York.
I loved watching everything she did
because every picture she had had meetings.
She held the door for Rod Caru.
He had a conversation with her.
She was there for the parade.
She's amazing.
She's amazing.
She went to some museums.
I like that stuff, but it's like, here's a tree.
I don't need to see that.
Show me the cool stuff.
If it's fall leaves, one photo is kind of cool,
especially in Texas, because we get like 24 hours
and then they're on the ground.
And they don't do the pretty colors.
Thank God I have a pool anymore.
If it's just a tree with green leaves,
we've got that everywhere.
Show me the cool stuff.
And number one, Alex mentioned this.
Only eat at places you can't get at home.
Like don't go to somewhere and then stop at Taco Bell.
Come on, man.
There are places all over this wonderful nation
and around this wonderful planet that we live on
that you can find that even though they may be chainplaces,
where chainplaces can't get here.
Yeah.
People come to Texas, you have to go to Waterburger.
That's the thing.
If I go to Florida, I'll go to Pramini Brothers.
Yeah, if you go to the right place in Florida.
Well, you've got to be in my hometown.
I'd run it past the two of you first.
Or if you go to Pittsburgh, then you would definitely
go to Pramini because they're big up there.
If I go to Pittsburgh, I will still go to Pramini Brothers
because Pramini Brothers in Pittsburgh
is a little bit different than it is in Florida.
You know, I people know that when I go to places,
like when I go to Ohio, people know
we're going to go to melt all in there
because melt is amazing.
And like when I get to go overseas,
a few times I'm going, I hit McDonald's once
just to see the difference because it is different.
But I wasn't there every year.
Just did it once.
Because you can't open your mind to things.
Like when Doc goes to Toronto, there's place,
I've got, because that's where Doc goes for work a lot.
There's places that he knows he has to go to
because he's in Toronto.
Poutine.
Yeah, I want some Poutine.
I want, I want.
It's our Poutine and melt.
They call it hangover fries, but it's Poutine.
You know, I want to go because I want to go
where all the pretty Canadians are.
They're a boot everywhere.
I know.
They're a boot in a boot.
Anything you guys want to add to the list tonight?
There's a lot of tips and tricks you can find online,
for example, like my biggest one with Vegas
is I actually don't rent a car,
but I always stay somewhere close to the monorail.
Yes, because you can get a week pass on the monorail
for far less than you'd pay for any taxi or anything like that.
And be prepared to walk just a little bit.
It's good for you.
Cucked the boat shoes.
And I was going to say check the mass transit
because like New York's got a good system.
Boston has one of the most amazing mass transit systems.
But that mass transit is a test of my claustrophobia too.
Well, okay, there's a little bit of that too,
but if you can find out because you can get,
a lot of places will have a week-long pass,
but do check how it expires
because when I went to Boston,
it's from the minute you buy it that many days later.
It's not the end of the day, it's the end of the day.
Well, and Alps is talking about Vegas,
the difference between the Vegas,
I like the monorail idea,
but that's if I'm staying on the strip.
That's the thing.
We're on the outskirts.
So I've got to run a car.
But what I'm saying is you look up the tips and tricks,
see where you're at, see where that works.
Because when I stay on the strip, I would say at the Hilton,
which was right there on the monorail.
So I didn't run a car because I could be on the strip
in 10 minutes on the monorail.
The funny part is as we stay at the Pilton Paradise,
which is on the opposite end of the monorail,
away from the strip.
So we can get out easily,
but it will take you anywhere you want
along the strip as well.
Doc, Doc's idea won't hit.
Yeah, yeah.
If you're going to bring cash,
bring denominations of 10s instead of 20s.
It's a lot easier to spend with 10s.
You're less, much less likely to get ripped off
because if you get ripped off, it'll be half as much.
Because normally people give a 20 and get ripped off.
This way you give a 10,
you're more likely to keep half your money.
And but it's just easier just to walk in
to a place and spend a 10 than it is a 20.
Especially in Vegas for the $2 and $5 tables,
people will plop down to 20, you just plop down to 10.
You're gambling with half as much.
I will neither confirm nor deny that there is a sheet
that I sign and I don't bring cash.
Yeah, it's easier for if you take taxis,
denominations of 10s, it's just it's perfect.
Perfect one for domination.
Well, I would say if you're going to a city
like Vegas, you pay on gambling,
leave 50 bucks in your glove box
so you have gas money when you get home.
That's my outfit.
Shall I add anything for you?
But no, you've been around the world.
And you, you, you.
It's bit, but it's been so long.
I mean, the rules of the game
have changed since I've been overseas.
That's fair.
It's been, it's been two decades since I've been overseas.
Now, the other part would,
would be that we didn't touch on,
make sure to check the weather forecast.
Yes.
They're not always right,
but you don't want to be walking around in Texas
in only jeans.
No.
And, and hooded sweatshirts.
Yes.
Although I did see something called the hero hoodie
that was really interesting we could talk about off air.
It's essentially a really comfortable hoodie
that folds into its own backpack.
Yes, I did see that.
Well, one will save us.
Not gonna stand in our way.
And on that note.
Yeah.
We want to thank Cider Cage for having us out tonight.
We had so much fun.
Maybe some video games you don't know.
We want to thank Belinda and having us out
for Who Needs Cake.
Happy birthday, my friend.
We're so excited.
Don's got something to say.
What makes the announcement for about two weeks?
Well, I'm gonna do that here in just a minute.
What was it?
I'm gonna do that here in just a minute.
Okay.
Remember, be part of Who Needs Sleep.
Go to WhoNeedsleep.org,
get book market now because Labor Day weekend,
we're gonna be part of that conversation.
36 hours straight.
We're gonna be streaming on the night.
Bands, comedians, panels.
We're gonna do an hour of this show.
Grace Descending's gonna play.
Bad Karma's coming back this year.
So we get to see chance in the boys.
We're gonna have multiple studios working at the same time.
If you want to volunteer, we'd love to have you.
If you have a business that wants to give,
please let us know.
It is tax deductible.
If you work for a food establishment,
we're looking for food establishments
that will feed 30 volunteers.
Because last year we had some amazing food.
We got some coming this year,
but we don't have every meal covered.
So please let us know because we're gonna have a good time.
It's glass.
And I'm taking, I might take that Tuesday off,
not just Labor Day, just because I gotta sleep.
Oh, and allow me to take the opportunity
to thank all my lovely friends.
Yeah, a lot of people come out to see this thing, man.
And to come out to help my wife celebrate her birthday.
That's right.
We forgot to say that.
We'll strive.
She was a birthday too.
Is she, where is she?
She's right over there.
She's right behind Jen.
Right here.
Oh, okay.
Chad's driving.
So that's important.
Jules Walmick, ski ball with one hand
and beer in another, making sure it happens.
That's America.
Cause that's how the Brits do it.
So happy birthday to you, my friend.
Yeah.
So here's the next three weeks of the show, okay?
Next week, we are back in studio
doing our abnormal thing.
The following Saturday, August the 18th,
we're going to a new location
that we've never worked with before.
We're very excited.
Dallas Anime Fest is not this coming weekend,
but the following weekend.
We're gonna be doing our show live there
from two to four on Saturday, August the 18th.
I'm gonna get that right.
Don is nodding his head, yes.
And that's also summer slam weekend.
So we're gonna do Anime Fest from two to four on Saturday.
Then we'll all come back to the house
so we can watch NXT take over on Saturday night.
Then Sunday will be on the air, August the 18th,
two weeks from tonight.
We will be on two hours early.
We'll be on at five Eastern, two Pacific,
because it's a major, which means it's gonna start
at six PM Eastern and or five PM Eastern,
and it's gonna be a five hour pay-per-view.
I think he had it right.
So we know, that means we're gonna be on the air three.
Because it's a four Eastern, one Pacific,
because the majors are five hour pay-per-views.
So that's gonna be six PM as a start time for the major,
which would be five PM here,
which means we're on the air four.
I've already warned my wife.
It's gonna be a long day.
She was gonna be, she's like, they're doing what?
Like, no, that's what that's the pit now.
Sorry, it's one more after this, too.
So yeah, so I'm preparing her well enough ahead of time.
And then the week after that, we'll be back to abnormal.
And then the week after that, we'll be on it
at a different time because, well, actually,
we'll be on a little hour early,
because it'll be hour 34.
So that'll be six PM Eastern, three PM Pacific
on September the second.
Per-spithic?
Yes.
And I'll probably sound like this at that point, too.
If you are, I think it's good.
I am defending my title.
I am defending my title.
I am the Iron Man.
Unfortunately, I cannot challenge this year.
And I am being told that I will have somebody
to help me this year.
Do I hear that right in our last meeting?
That I'm being giving a personal assistant
who's in most of their job will be,
if I don't have a Coke Zero in my hand,
make sure I have a Coke Zero in my hand,
or a Diet Mountain Dew.
It'll probably be more than one person handling that,
but there will be someone filming this.
We also need to discuss how many costume changes
will need to be involved.
I meant to bring a suitcase with me.
Because I'm thinking about a different shirt every hour.
I haven't decided yet.
I'm not doing every hour, but I have gotten
some shirts in recently for this weekend,
because sarcasm is my, yeah.
All I'm saying is three words, cosplay dance party.
That's the thing I'm really looking forward to.
That's what I'll be a slate.
But that's when the Tiki Bar I'll be up and running, too.
And then we're actually going to bring,
because we have a local Tiki Bar here in Dallas.
They're going to be there,
and they're going to be doing some of their specialty drinks
on Aaron, and we're going to have a camera on them
showing how they make them.
It's going to be awesome.
I cannot wait for this.
You guys are going to want to join us, Labor Day Weekend,
8 a.m. September 1st until 8 p.m. September 2nd.
Again, we want to thank everybody
as cider, Kate, for having us out.
They could not have been more accommodating
to make sure we had a place to plug everything in.
Happy birthday, jewels, happy birthday, Belinda.
