Whatever we do one of these, it is to review something, and this is not even an exception
that I can't even talk right now.
J-Trander Saker, it's time to talk super troopers too.

The Broken Lizard Crew is back baby.
When you believe it's been 17 years since super troopers, yes, a film that I absolutely
love.
And I have to throw out there.
I never saw the first one.
I need to see the first one.
Yes, you do.
But I mean I knew there's stuff from Beer Fest, so.
Well that Beer Fest came well after this, super troopers is their first big film.
Yeah, Beer Fest was a good 5 years.
I'm familiar with the humor and I knew what I was getting into.
I thought you're a club dread, the slamming salmon.
This is the same troop of guys, they're called Broken Lizard, and they go off and do their
own things.
J-Trander Saker has actually directed a bunch of episodes of the Goldbergs.

That he is trusted with so many series.
He's a great director.
He's amazing.
So the boys are back together again after losing their jobs as cops due to an unfortunate
incident.

That's all I'm saying.
And they're working construction together with, of course, Farva as the twerp.
And so-
They're obsessed with one tool in particular.
And they're old captain, played by Bryant Caps, Captain O'Hake, and calls them and says,
OK, let's go fishing up in Canada this weekend.
So they all get together, they go up to Canada, and what they find out is they're actually
not going up there to fish.
They're actually going up there to perhaps get their jobs back.
And the way that's going to work is, apparently, according to some tree that's been in error,
there's a piece of Canada that's supposed to belong to America.
So they're going to be handling the transition from the Canadian-mounted police to American
police.
And that's kind of as far as I'm willing to go.
But let me tell you who else is in this.
And there's a couple I'm going to leave out of here just to avoid a couple of spoilers.
But Bruce McCulloch from Kids in the Hall has a cameo in this.
Linda Carter is in this.
Rob Lowe is in this.
Tyler LeBean is in this.
Will Sassos is in this.
Emmanuel Shriekie is in this.
How you doing?
I mean, there's so much great in this film.
And I got to say, there's three or four other people that don't even get a name because
I don't want to spoil it.
There's a bother up there.
They stumble upon a case they end up working.
The only way I can put this, and I thought about this as I was, as we were leaving the
theater, could this be Catty Shack for a new generation?
No, because the second one was good.
Well, I'm just saying in general, I think it's the second Cat Shack was terrible.
But I got the same feeling watching both of these films that I got watching Catty
Shack.
I think it's a similar vein of humor, and I think that may be why.
Like I said, I never saw the first one, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I was not lost.
I got the jokes.
Well, the ones I could hear.
Well, you're going to get more of the jokes.
This is one of those films that you can see without having seen the first one.
But then when you go back and watch the first one, you're like, oh, that's what that
was.
Right.
And when I get to watch it again without someone laughing in my ear, because the audience
got into this.
Oh, absolutely.
And then there were points where one person's laugh got other people.
And so there were sometimes you miss things because everybody was enjoying it so much.
I mean, it's very rare that I watch a movie, and I want to watch it again immediately
after.
I genuinely wanted to tell them to roll the tape back and let's do this again.
My rib cage hurt from laughing by the end of this.
And I'll give you one best example.
And this is being spoiler free.
But if you watch the first one, the leader called up really, that's because that is addressed
in this.
Yeah.
Oh, you left early and you shouldn't have.
Oh, really?
They even have three.
There's not only a couple of, they explain the celebrity incident.
Yeah.
I saw that.
Okay.
There's also a blooper reel in the credit.
We saw some of that.
And there's an extra scene after the credits.
Okay.
I'm this with Farva.
And all I'm willing to say, Kevin Heffernin, like, this is a guy that he gets the bit and
he just rolls with it.
Is he related to me?

I was not editing that out because I sort of got, they had people writers listen to our
show.

Yeah.
Oh.
And I really liked the first one so much that I was really kind of worried going into this
because they decided they were going to do a didn't Indiegogo raise the money in less
than 24 hours.

And as was Dave was also a contributor.
Dave Scott from the show, this movie delivers, if you're not a fan of potty humor, just
stay away.
Actually, because you're not going to enjoy this film.
If you love stupid, mindless humor, and understand this, it is an equal opportunity offender.
There is something in this film to offend everybody.
There is full-frontal nudity.
There is just toilet humor.
And there is an image that will be emblazoned in your brain for days and I'm not going to
say what it is.
And on the full-frontal, let's be fair and say it's both genders, both genders.
All genders.
All genders.
And one of the things that Don and I are going to differ on because I've read his review
because I edited it.
Because you say that while rolling your eyes.
It's Roblo.
Roblo did not enjoy Roblo's performance in it.
What?
No, I did not say that.
What did my review say?
The accent did not work on him.
I love him as an actor.
But that's the portrayal of the role.
That's the accent.
That's like saying, I like the burger.
I just didn't like everything on it.
It's the same thing.
But anytime there's an accent.
Let him talk.
Go ahead.

You brought up.
Let me explain myself.

I love him as an actor.
Parks and Rec.
And he does some good comedy in this.
But him trying the accent did not work.
And it got annoying to me on that role.
It's my opinion.

But I also think that Roblo has a really great grip on this character.
He does have a good bite.

I was someone Alex touched the film that I've a very good friend of the show Rob Lance who
I worked with at the bar that I met my beautiful wife at.
We called him our little ball of hate.
He's also he's also known as Captain Connuck and I do have a caricature of him around
in here somewhere because we went to six lags and they did him as Captain Connuck and
they did me as Admiral America.
And he used to tell me about French Canadians because French Canadians want they want to
be their Quebec wants to be its own country.
Oh, yeah.
And so he would always tell me about the way French Canadians talk like listen my listen
guy their guy you have the other day I was looking for my boots and there they were
gone.
Oh, wait a minute.
Got it.
They're guy.
I got to go and double park two times twice outside there.
And sasso nails it sasso abs all three of those guys that played the the Mounties.
You've got Will sasso.
You've got Tyler LeBean.
I'm sorry.
And you got Hazemakarth.
And Tyler LeBean actually got it for me out of those Mounties more than sasso just
for explaining the moose.
Got it.
I got it.
That and they go into this whole bit about Danny Davido which I think is.
What are you doing?
Don't make sure I'm not going to get shocked.
Oh, no, that's come down.
You don't you'll know when that happens.
They actually show that in the trailers.
That's not a spoiler.
And when that was coming, I was ready.
I was like, I'm so ready.
I didn't know, I didn't see that.
Yeah, that's the very end of the trailer.
I never saw the trailer.
Yeah, because the pranks on Farva do continue.
Glorious.
I mean, this movie hits it on every level.
My, I said I had the gripe with Rob Loaf.
That's basically my only gripe.
Right.
You said I love your review.
You what made me happy is the fantastic
Faith Ford laughed hard.
Did she realize she, not knowing anything about the first one,
not knowing anything, but anything going in.
And she rolled on this, she loved it.
And the only thing that makes her happy, I'm happy.
I just realized something else about the one sheet.
What are they all standing on?
Yeah.
What?
Look at the one sheet, because it's a potential spoiler.
So don't say it.
Well, look what they're standing on.
You can say it because it's also, it's the poster.
Right.
When you, after you see the film, you'll appreciate the one sheet
on a whole different level.
Let's just put it that way.
And I was going to say, as you mentioned, of course,
the fabulous and amazing Linda Carter.
Yeah, she plays the governor.
And that was the moment, because she like comes on.
I know who it is.
I react to it.
And Alex and Dave are kind of going, okay, what is Jen up to?
Oh, no, I knew exactly what you were up to.
I felt the pitter-patter on the back of my seat.
But then it clicked that it was Linda Carter
and you realized why?
Oh, no, I already knew it was Linda Carter.
It was the motion that was out there.
And she looked fantastic.
She looks amazing.
And it's just everything about this movie works.
You know, she is everything too.
Yeah, and so I have to go back and check it,
because it's just got Linda Carter in it.
I got to see it.
She's not just like in the first one.
She's probably in only about what, five, 10 minutes.
At the most.
Yeah, just like, no, it's still.
She just does that statement.
She's in the front more than the first one.
But I do now want to go back and watch the first one again,
because I'm going to say it, this one
might be funnier than the first one.
Rare.
And I talked about that, my friend.
You did indeed.
Usually the sequels are kind of, that they waited a long time.
And you think there'll be a third?
They left it a little open.
They did leave it a little bit out.
They did leave it a little bit out.
I would be afraid of a third one, because this one was so good.
I was trying to find a Japanese flight today to bring in.
Nope.
Not at all.

Not working.
Doesn't deserve a reaction.

It deserves a shot at far away.
I thought it'd been funny.

It frightens me that you're embracing this.
Yeah, that is really uncomfortable.
Although I guess that's one of those where it's like,
if you take the insult and make it yours, is it an insult?
I'm telling you, this hits on every level.
Yeah, it does.
I loved it.
I really did.
It's, I don't know the last time I've laughed that much in a film.
And not being by myself.
There were a lot of people that we know in the first
core that were there that were laughing just as loud as we were.
And what was interesting is it didn't matter what demographic
people were part of, everybody was laughing.
It was great.
There was somebody down the road, like two or three
over from you that I've never seen react to anything
before.
And I thought they were going to fall out of their chair.
I pictured your chair.
I keep the IMDV page up.
Yeah.
Because I have a slideshow if you watch it on the app.
And they just, again, showed the picture of Farva at the press
conference.
And it's just with the microphone in his hand.
It's trying to pull him away from it.
Yeah.
It just makes me so laugh.
It works on so many levels.
And one of the things that I did include in my review,
and don't know if you've gotten to that yet,
was the fact that there is just enough similarity
to the first one that you can feel a continuation.
But it's an entirely original.
Yes.
It's its own thing.
But I do have a question, and I couldn't pin it down.
Did they ever say how much time had passed in the realm
of the movie?
No, they did not.
Because I was wondering if they were saying it was a legit
17 years, or if it was just time to pass.
And they just showed the picture of Farva with the big pants.
That's never happened on the phone.
I'm sorry.
Everything works.
Everybody saw the pants, but how many people
caught that the shirt was tight?
Oh, no.
But what the shirt was untucked into.
Oh, I guess I missed that little part.
I want you to just pull this up so you can see it.
Hold on.

I don't want the trailer.
I don't want that trailer.

We love this film on so many levels.

It made my wife happy.
And like you're saying, all demographics,
my wife from Nigeria has been here a year
and guess what, she was rolling.
I mean, she knew nothing about the first one.
All right, then let's get to the final analysis.
The way we do the final analysis on the show,
we're not going to give you thumbs up, thumbs down.
We're not going to give you a letter, grades,
and numbers, anything like that.
Here's what we're going to do.

Question number one is, would we see this film again?
And the answer's no, we're done here.
