We're really lost from the train wheels.
It could not be more excited to review the movie we're about to review.
As a kid, huge fan of the Rocky and Bull Winkle show.
And this weekend marks the updated version of a segment of that show.
As the animated Mr. Peabody Insurement hits theaters, nationwide, maybe worldwide.
I don't know.
I'm not that well-versed in the world.
If you don't know who Mr. Peabody Insurement are, number one, you may be a communist.
I just want to say that.
But we'll go ahead and explain it.
Mr. Peabody is a dog.
He's a very highly intelligent dog.
Okay, Senator McCarthy.
Who adopts a young boy.
He's raising.
And it is recognized that he is a dog and the boy is a boy.
And Mr. Peabody is genius.
But it's so many things.
And one of the things that he builds is the thing called the Wayback, which is a time machine.
And this is how he teaches Sherman about history.
And it was great when it was on the Rocky of Bull Winkle show because it taught you about history.
So Sherman has his first day of school.
And runs into for lack of a better term, a bully.
Classmate.
Classmate.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Who basically bullies him in the cafeteria and Sherman bites her.
So in order to smooth this over, Mr. Peabody invites her family over for dinner.
Tell Sherman, you must talk to her, but do not tell her about the wayback.
Well, I think we all know what's going to happen there.
And the insanity that ensues, where now Mr. Peabody and Sherman must go through history.
And get Penny.
And then get back, which is a bigger thing.
Right, which is more of the Avengers coming back than it is going to get her.
Let's go through the cast.
Mr. Peabody is played by modern family's type of rel.
Max Charles plays Sherman.
You've got aerial winter also from modern family plays Penny.
Steven Tobolowski, who is one of the great character actors of our time.
He plays the principal of the school, Allison Jenny Dennis Hayesbear.
Steven Colbert Leslie Mann.
Colbert was Penny's dad.
Okay, that was Colbert.
I'm okay.
And one of the questions, who played Marie and Chondette?
Marie and Chondette was a lady by the name of Lori Fraser.
Only pull her up for you.
Because right now I'm in the middle of pulling up Max Charles.
And my computer is wanting to be very, very soon today.
But while I'm pulling that up, let's just start.
We can't talk about, we can talk about the look of the film, I guess.
Max Charles, the kid who plays Sherman was in the amazing Spider-Man.
And also three studios.
Three studios movie.
He was on the ABC failed bit the neighbors.
Which somehow was so on television, I think.
I don't know why.
Still young.
He did episode of a result in Isles.
He's done some voice work.
No, done a lot.
I was actually done some family guy.
Yeah.
He was Peter Parker and H4 in the amazing Spider-Man.
Yeah.
What did you think of the look of the film?
This was a CGI film that came from an animated series.
And that's always kind of a dicey proposition.
When you do that, because it's no secret that I am not a fan of Star Wars The Clone Wars,
because I don't think that style of animation translates well when to CGI.
I'll see this.
The animation.
I was very, very happy with it.
Tell you why.
Okay.
I'm glad it wasn't one of those real life movies when they put up
a CGI character's inner, like the Rocky Bowencom movie with real people and stuff like that.
I'm glad that it was just animated.
Because that's how I remembered it.
You know what I'm saying?
There's a lot of movies that came out lately.
We're at the same thing where it's, you know, they take these cartoons like Scooby-Doo
or they put the dog in with the people.
Right.
Yeah.
The list goes on and on.
I'm glad they did because I remembered it's the cartoon.
And that's why I wanted it.
And I thought that the cartoon, the look and the scenery and everything,
the whole cartoon itself was very well drawn so forth, very, very good.
I was very impressed with that.
I enjoyed the CGI as well.
I thought it was that style translated.
I thought very well.
Credit goes to the director of this.
Rob Minkoff.
You know him from directing.
He did an episode of leverage.
He did the forbidden kingdom, the haunted mansion.
Thanks to our little films.
I think I was, I wasn't good.
I was going to bury the lead a little bit on that.
But he did direct the Lion King as well.
Kudos to him and the DreamWorks animation people who did a great job on this film.
Now let's talk about the voice casting.
We've said it on our normal show, which is Sunday nights at 70's from Fort Pacific.
One of my favorite videos shows the Bob and Tom Show.
Tom Griswald was not on board with Tyborrell as Mr. Peabody.
I thought he did a great job.
You know, listening back to the original, you're not going to capture that original Mr. Peabody voice,
but I thought Tyborrell did a very good contemporary version of it.
Let me kind of put this into a little track.
I remember rocking bowl with gold and I remember Mr. Peabody.
And always one of my favorite segments.
My thing was that cartoon in a back of my mind has been sitting in a back of my mind
and that long forgotten place.
This movie just opened that door.
And I was very impressed with the Mr. Peabody.
You know, I really forgot about this whole cartoon until-
Really?
Yeah.
I have always touted the right track.
I remember Mr. Peabody.
I remember it was great.
I remember watching as a kid.
You know, as a little kid watching it and stuff like that.
But I totally kind of forgot about it until this real movie just researched it for me.
You know, so I thought the voice acting on all the people,
the rematch on it, the Leonardo da Vinci.
No, I don't want to go too deep into that part of it.
Because there are some great surprises that happen during the film.
Yeah, because then the trailers, you see Leonardo and stuff in the movie.
But I'm not getting really in the characters away.
That's not on the trailers.
But I'll see.
I thought, especially those two characters I was really happy with a ton of the voices.
I thought the voice quality voice acting and the voice everything was incredible on it.
The way back, the Leonardo da Vinci played by the great Stanley Tucci.
Lake Bell, who actually does a movie about voice voice over acting that she directed.
She plays Mona Lisa.
And we all, that's all.
Yeah, I'm not going to go any deeper because there's some great cameos in this.
But there is one person that I want to talk about that we have to talk about.
Playing Agamemnon is the great.
The amazing Patrick Warburton.
You put Patrick Warburton in anything?
No offense, Agamemnon.
Agamemnon.
Agamemnon.
You know who Patrick Warburton is?
Yeah, but Agamemnon character who is Agamemnon.
In the Trojan horse.
Okay, okay.
How do you not know that voice?
I didn't know that voice.
I didn't know that voice.
I didn't know the character's name.
I remember the guy in the Trojan horse.
I didn't know that as an Agamemnon.
It was his name.
He was incredible.
I've said it before.
And I'm corning this now.
And if anyone steals this, I said it first.
Patrick Warburton is the bacon of animation.
Because he makes it better.
And it just character was so funny.
You could do anything, but laugh every time.
That is.
And 90% of it is that voice.
You know, it's that voice.
Smil my victory.
You know, nobody else can deliver that line with the humor that Patrick Warburton does.
Yeah.
When I found out he was in this movie, I'm like, I don't care.
I'm in.
And he did disappoint.
His character was on the funniest.
I was so happy with his performance in this.
A lot of great cameos, especially the last 20 minutes don't go to the bathroom.
This movie is barely an hour and a half long.
So you can make it through.
Yeah.
Totally.
Now the plot of the film.
I was worried a little bit about.
I was a little bit worried about can we stretch this premise to an hour and a half.
Because it's only a seven minute cartoon at a time.
Yeah.
And what I was afraid of is it was just going to turn to a bunch of episodes of Mr.
Peabody and Sherman.
And they do like a little mini one in the beginning.
It's just a kind of set up.
This is what this is.
So you understand.
Like you see the pictures of them with JFKM.
Yeah.
And you know.
I thought the story was told very well.
The pacing was great.
You know, I looked out on my watch and we were halfway through.
It held my attention.
And we got to see it in the 3D, which I enjoyed.
I did.
And if you get to go to the AMC theater near you and you get the Mr. Peabody and Sherman 3D glasses do so.
If there's any left.
Yeah.
By the way, thanks to our friends at Ally.

Marketing for letting us see this much less in 3D.
Yeah.

Great group of people that take care of us.
Uh, I was, I want to see this about this.
And I'll be honest.
Is that kind of what we do?

I have been kind of really burned out.
There's no secret to people that know me that I'm entitled to this remake.
And all these cartoons being remade for movie because writers can't think of stuff for movies.
Indeed.
I was very kind of skipped.
I was very skipped about this movie.
You were.
You were a little bit of a sour push going into this thing.
And I was just like, is this going to be another Scooby-Doo or under dog?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
And I'll be honest with you.
I, when I left this thing, I was so surprised.
I will sit this movie has it is good for the whole family, the whole family.
Absolutely.
Talk after the movie.
Absolutely.
There's a lot of good humor for the kids.
It's good.
It's a good family film.
You can take the kids with no problems.
But there's some real humor there for the adults, not saying like, you know, dirty.
There's humor that there's references that adults would get that aren't adult reference.
But still it will make any adult laugh including me.
I saw everybody laughing during this movie and a lot of most of them were adults.
And adults could go to this with the kids and adults will have a good time.
It's not like they're going to have to take their kids to the Jones Brothers movie.
Exactly.
Exactly.
They'll be entertained in a lot of comedy which I think a live adults will find funny.
Great voice casting, great direction, visually beautiful.
And I, any downsides of the film for you because for me there were no downsides.
I love this movie.
I really can't think of any.
Anyway, I think this, I always have my, you know, not counting no Disney cartoons Snow White.
Now that I make top five favorite cartoon movies.
Train your dragon.
Incredibles.
Shrek.
After seeing this, this possibly can be a move up and really.
Yeah.
Wow.
There won't be the number one.
I mean, I train your dragons probably my favorite cartoon movie.
I'm waiting.
I can't wait for part two coming out.

I cannot really find a fault for this movie.
The story from move very well.
It seemed kind of predictable at the beginning.
I'll say that.
Maybe seem a little predictable at the beginning.
But then it just took you with for a ride.

want to you want to know Rob would you see this movie again and if you would
see it again how would you see it because I'm I may want to see it the way you
saw it and if you tell me to wait for it on cable I might just do that because
because the Empire we had built a trust there so but I'm gonna pose the
question that you first heard would you see this film again yes
under the window cat is stalking so you would see it again I would see it again
as well but the question then becomes for a repeat viewing would you see
this in evening show would you pay full price would you go to matinee would you
check it out in second run would you wait for it to run from a red box because
we can do that from blockbuster anymore would you wait for it on cable or would
you just you know if I'm clicking on it's they all checking for stuff I think
100 would want to go and see the dog so 100 the wondercass not big on dogs I'll
say this because here's a walking in front of the desk yeah he's right in the
mind right now thank god I don't need to read anything okay for me to see it
again I would probably say I would not mind seeing it in a matinee setting but
I'll say this to the Empire if it's family night out this would be a top one
choice to take the whole family to even for a night showing you want to do a
Saturday afternoon with the family you want to do a Saturday night with the
family you have to be a movie to go take the whole family with I will say this
I enjoyed the 3D but I don't think 3D's mandatory for this no it didn't
have to but go see an evening show maybe do it somewhere like a at a studio
movie grill and have a meal with it make a night of it see it now see it often see
it again you'll make your life buy it on DVD when it comes out so you can
watch it any time you want there's also if you're a fan if you are true fan of
this pay very very close attention in the last 10 seconds before the credit's
happening that's all I'm telling you if you are true fan you'll get the
reference there's a little anything that made me go yes that was awesome
go see this movie it is so much fun it is not an hour and a half of your
life that you won't get back which is what we hope our normal show exists for
you that that's what we do this screen so that the you know the empire will know
whether they'll be wasting our time or not we have this for the empire absolutely
again I want to take your bait out like Josh some of our favorite people in the
