and a man who will globe-tried if you let him but not on a basketball court. You may know him
is fun, don't go but his mom and even don't ford I'm gonna call him don't ford welcome.

about it later. Running out the day it says the lady of the house and if you're gonna have a villain
it's gonna be her because of the t-shirt she's wearing. She is general welcome friend.
Hello everyone. Whatever we do one of these things and this is number 404 by the way
this one's a palindrome. Look at that. What is that? It's 404 it's the same thing frontwards
and backwards. That's called a palindrome like race car or taco cat or wow. Yes wow for
Anna and Anna. Easy on that. We are here to talk mission impossible fallout.
First of all maybe yes sir. Got to pick Ashley and everybody at 11ston for the invite. Thank
you guys so much. We love our vendors. They let us come see movies and stuff before they come
out so we can tell you guys about them and give you our honest thoughts. So a couple of interesting
things as we talk about this. First and foremost before the screening of this film I had not seen
the last two and I rode solo on this one and it's been forever since I saw the first three. I
own the first one on laser disk. You only have an interesting backstory on the one before the one
before this one. Isn't that the one that goes protocol that broke the nuclear tuner?
That's part of reason I hadn't seen. Since you mentioned it. I had to. So I rented ghost protocol
once. We are on the living room. We were ready to watch this movie. We were very excited
and in the very beginning there's a jailbreak scene and at one point Tom Cruise punches a guy
and when he does there's this flash that happens and everything goes dark and I was like okay that
was either the coolest special effect ever or something has gone horribly wrong. It blew up my
receiver. Go Tom Cruise. So yeah so he could take credit for that. So I went out. I went to a local
establishment shout out movie trading company. If you want to sponsor the show we'd love to have you
and I got all five films in a blu-ray box for 20 bucks and this was on a Saturday morning.
That's not bad at all. I know because I was going to buy him separately. It was going to cost me
more and it was also those buy two get one free weekends. Oh my god I'm just going to get all
in the box. Let's do this thing. I think they do that pretty much every weekend. They do it right
around every column. So that's like four dollars of blu-ray. That's cheap. Wow that man. That's
math. You did math. So I've decided. It's on my right. I've got very few plans today. Another
palan drumway. Yeah exactly. I only had one thing on my agenda once I bought the blu-rays and I
said I'm watching them all today. Come hell or high water. I am getting through all five of these
movies. How did you power through it? I finished at like 1130 because remember the first one was
only an hour 50. Really? They get longer as you get into the series. Now I had forgotten
how forgettable to us. That was John Woolwood. Yeah. Three. A lot of people liked three. Is that the
one that Brad Bird did? Correct. No that was JJ. JJ did three. Brad Bird did goes for fourth one.
And that was JJ's first feature film. Seriously? Yes. He had been due because Tom Cruise saw
Alias and was like I want him to direct the movie. Would you like to do a feature film for the
first time? Here's $150 million. A lot of people like three but I think a lot of people like three
because they so much didn't like two. I can't even remember the premise of two. Who's the bad guy
too? Oh do great Scott. Okay. The original Wolverine. Right. And the Kung Fu motorcycle fight.
Okay. I have the soundtrack for that. But I liked three. Philip Seymour Hoffman choose scenery
like very few humans ever in the history of Hollywood. Okay. Yeah. And I liked Ghost Protocol.
I didn't love Ghost Protocol but it's still better than two. Is that the one with the sandstorm
and the giant skyscraper in Dubai or Mumbai wherever they can? Yes. Okay. Yes.
But I loved Rogue Nation. Rogue Nation was amazing. And at first I was like is it because I'm
watching this in its 10 o'clock at night and I really want to go to bed. But I really, the more I
married it, I'm like I really, really liked this movie more than I had to. That's the one with the
record store. No, that was. Oh yes. That was Rogue Nation. And the air because that introduced
the syndicate. Yeah. And the airplane stunt that almost killed him. Yes. And see, I think that's
the only one I've seen is Rogue Nation. I like it. And I've done it. Chris. Now, remember we've
named different directors for every film. Brian Dupalma did the first one. John Wu did two. J.J. Abrams
did three. Brad Bird who the guy that directed the Incredibles did four and the Incredibles was what
got him that movie. Christopher McQuarrie did five who is also doing fallout the one we're here
to talk about. So for the first time ever in the franchise, they've used the same director twice
much less back to back. Okay. But coming off of Rogue Nation, I was like, okay, let's do this.
I'm in. I'm down. Now, this is the, again, the longest of the series because each one has been longer
than the one before it. This runs 224. Wow. You say that. It doesn't feel it. I'm not even
close. Nice. This movie moves because here's what happens. This is also the first time in the
history of the franchise that you've carried a villain over. Oh, okay. I didn't realize that
because it was the exact one time again. It's 224. Okay. Watch cage. 35 minutes. Okay.
And that was shocking to me when we hit 35 minutes. Okay. So it's not the longest one we've ever done,
but to look down and go, we're 35 minutes in. I was like, here we go. So we've established in
Rogue Nation about the syndicate. It's kind of their version of specter. Okay. Pretty much because
we're getting to a point where these films are starting to mirror the bond style of globe hopping
and big bad guy that always seems to get away and things like that. All your regular players are
back. You now have ring rings ring rings and Tom Cruise are the only two people to appear in every film.
Simon pegs back. He's been in every one since three. I think I believe. That sounds right.
And then you also have returning Rebecca Ferguson, who was in the last one. Okay. Let me just say
Christopher McCory knows how to shoot a movie because reading the trivia on this, she was pregnant
during production. And the way they were able to use body doubles and the way they were to shoot
here. If I didn't tell you she was pregnant, I could bet you money that you wouldn't know.
Where the DP was on this one if they use the same one. So what's happened now is at the spoiler
alert for the end of Rogue Nation, but if you haven't watched it by now, you have no intention to.
They capture the main guy from the syndicate. Sean Harris plays Solomon Lane. Isn't that a great
villain name? You must capture Solomon Lane. He was the guy that showed up in the record store.
Yes. Okay. So he's been he's still captured, but his and it's odd that it's kind of cool they
named him this. His followers who are now being called the acolytes are trying to get their hands
on three pieces of plutonium so that they can make three nuclear weapons that they're going
because they believe that in order for there to be peace, there has to be great sufferings to
pull the world together and things of that nature. So when Ethan Hunt are hero, who I really believe
he's got to just open up his own agency because he's spent now six movies not getting trusted by his boss.
Now I even said that when I was watching the marathon. At what point does your boss trust you? I mean,
come on. I mean, seriously. So and by the way, Alec Baldwin's back for this one as well.
Because again, spoiler for the end of Rogue Nation, he's now the secretary of the IMF,
the impossible missions force. He's also dealing with the director of the CIA played by the great
Angela Bassett and her number one guy who now after after Ethan Hunt's team fails to get the plutonium
from the acolytes. She says my guy is coming with you to make sure that this mission doesn't fail
and he's played by Henry Cal. Okay. And yes, this is the movie with the mustache and I'm not going
into it because I didn't notice it. So I really didn't. And I think it's because I knew it was
there so I didn't have to look for it injustice league. So it didn't bother me. You know what I mean?
Okay, some peg was in three forward. Three forward. Okay, good. So now what you have is you have
Ethan Hunt's team and this tag along guy chasing the acolytes around the globe trying to stop this
nuclear weapon forming from happening. So it's now well established how much I loved Rogue Nation.
Did you haven't seen it? I would highly recommend it. I've seen it. I've really dug it. Yeah, I dug it a lot.
Did I like this one better? I did not. But it could be one in one eight. It's awful dog on close.
I don't know what it is that didn't make me like this one as much as I liked
Rogue Nation because this is a very very good film. Is it like a skyfall
specter conundrum for you? No, because I like both of those films. Yeah, I enjoy both of those films.
It may have been that the last one was so different from the others that you
fell in love with it and this one and this one carries a little bit of that
ever so it's not new. That's what I mean. But I really, I mean, but it's a great
movie. It's gonna make a ton of money this weekend once the word gets out, but I
really, really enjoyed this and I will tell you, we've seen a lot of movies
lately that are carrying runtimes. Yeah. Telling you, this one doesn't feel it.
Well, he needs it because it does follow the bond formula of opening,
seeing thing going into opening credits and they do the thing with the with the
fuse and everything else. Right now, right now, as we record this, which is the
night before release or technically the night of release because people will go
to seven o'clock screenings on Thursday night, 98% of rotten tomatoes. Wow. And I
can't say it's not earned. I'm telling you, this movie is so much fun because
sometimes, and I've said this a billion times on this show, sometimes you just
want to watch stuff explode. This movie will take care of that for you.
Cars fast things. Yes. And that's all of that is here. The way the plot unfolds now,
there is a twist in it that you kind of see coming. I don't want to say you see
it coming, but if you are somebody of the ilk that studies the genre like we do,
you'll see it at about a 40 minute mark. Okay. You'll see something and go, okay,
I know where this is going now, but the good news is it doesn't ruin the ride.
Like once I went, okay, that's what that's going to be. I still loved watching this movie.
Did you see how many theaters this thing is opening in? I have not, sir. 4,386. And it's
going to make a billion dollars. It's the largest opening of the franchise in history. And it's
earned it. It deserves it. This movie is a lot of fun. Of course, the stunt work is going to be
stellar because it's Tom Cruise who injured himself like three times filming this. Now,
this is number six. Correct. How would you rank this? Oh, this six number two or three or four.
And your favorites. Well, two is my least favorite. I would rank
three. I would rank three above that, then ghost protocol, then one, then rogue nation.
I mean, this is, I'm telling you, this is really close to rogue nation. I would put this at my
second favorite. Okay. And that's the weird thing about this franchise. Just because I put
three at number five, that's still a great movie. Yeah. It's just not as good as before.
About me with the sauce. Yeah. It's like how they're consistently good. They're consistently
fun. But this movie is, yeah, I hate to use the cliche roller coaster ride. But it's a roller coaster
ride that even though you know exactly how long the ride is and what's going to happen, you still
enjoy it. I enjoyed watching this movie. And again, the fight sequences are great.
The action sequences are on point. The character developments there. There's threads that have run
through three or four movies now that run through this one. You know, and again, you put Ving
Rames in just about anything. I'm going to watch it. So you caught one of the great sagas. Another
paladram. Saga's not a paladram. Saga's if you've. Yeah. This is our bit. But you know what?
He learned a new word today. Cat. Cat is not a paladram. Taco cat is a paladram. So I would say,
like this movie is going to make a bazillion dollars and it's more than earned it.
What's your downfall biggest downfall? That's film. You really want to know? Yeah. You
want to know how deep into the forest I went on this? Yeah. Remember the first trailer had the
Imagine Dragon song called friction that had that kind of samples the theme. Not in the film.
That kind of made me a little angry because I love that song wound up downloading it from
two different versions of the album didn't even know it. Because I was because even in three or two,
which I had the soundtrack of the limb biscuit things in the end credits. No, sir. That happens
more and more. I'm not just songs, but lines inspired by no. Yeah. Like this was in the original
trailer and it fits so well. Nothing. Not a dog on thing. Well, you're you're really looking for
here. It's just played if that's how far you have been. That's how far in the forest. I had to go
to find something wrong. That's why I that's how much I loved this film. That's really a good
sign. And the crowd that I saw it with was into it. And we were making it happen. And I did see
the Dolby Atmos logo on it. Dolby cinema. So you get to see a film in that form. Oh, brother,
you're denying yourself. I just. In general came it's when we saw solo in it. Oh, yeah. It's amazing.
It's an amazing experience what I wanted to see. It was and when I went out too quick, but I went
a lottery one day. I'll go see another movie in it. You can have it in your house now.
Yeah, again, lottery ticket already. It's actually the technology is not that expensive. It's just
the installation because you have to put four speakers in your ceiling. God.
Man, I know. Do I want to do that? Yes. Of course you do that very much. Well, they're lovely and
talented. Mrs. Irvin be okay with that. No, no, she will not. That's even better because then you
just make the people down the street wet the bed. I think my I think my living room is about as
big as the room that we're in. Even better. Contain that sound, man. All right, so we're going to
get the final analysis. Yeah, the way we do the final analysis on this show is we're not going to
give you a thumbs up thumbs down. We're not going to give you letter grades numbers. We're not going
to give you like explosions or anything like that. Okay, maybe just one. Here's what's going to
happen up to two questions. Question number one is would I see this film again? If the answers
know that we're done here, but if the answer is yes, the follow up question is going to be how far
am I willing to go to see it? From the best of the best of the worst of the best, here is the
spectrum full price at the theater down to a twilight showing down to a matinee, down to early
morning on a weekend, down to second one at the dollar theater, down to going out of my house to
get it from red box, down to streaming on Netflix, down to cable. Rob, yes, are acquiring minds?
I know they do. Would you see this film again? Abs of freaking loopley. Okay, what level are you
going to recommend the same? Let's see it again. I would give this top tier Dolby Cinema premium
format tickets. Wow. Because I'm telling you to see this in Dolby Cinema with the way Dolby
Cinema is set up, you probably are going to have to go to the bathroom in the middle of it,
because of all the subwoofers. But this movie is so much fun. And with the rumors that I'm
hearing, Jeremy Renner not in this one, his commitments to the MCU kept him from doing this film,
but there have been rumors for the last two films that his character actually was for the last
film because he just debuted in that one. That his character is going to be the one to pick up the
mantle when Tom Cruise decides he doesn't want to be Ethan Hunt anymore. Wow, really? I can see that.
And I'm on board with it. Basically did anymore. I know this is number six of these. Tell it
announced it probably one day. I mean, this movie is going to make a ton of money. Okay. It's a
foolproof plan. But it is mission impossible fallout for this whole thing. Yes, sir. We all think
Ashley and everybody loves to play and buy it. Thank you guys so much for letting me come out and
