This is a veritable land, much like another Marvel film we reviewed earlier.
This is a veritable land mine of spoilers.
I'm doing everything I can to avoid because I don't want to ruin anything for you.
And that means I need you to think very, very carefully before you say every sentence.

If you think you shouldn't don't, that's a good idea.
I like to plan.
I mean, I read literally almost word for word from IMDB.
And Chad said something before we started this episode, and I think we should echo it
to the Empire.
Don't go to Wikipedia.
If you don't want spoilers because apparently they spoil the entire film.
And it is.
Wikipedia does.
And it's on point.
I mean, I didn't notice anything that was incorrect about their plot summary.
So geez, I mean, I'm going to see it, hopefully this weekend, but yes, the sooner you see
it, the better.
It will depend on my sister's plans this weekend, because it's supposed to be made as if
we may be going to see Gene Boss.
I mean, we gave the basic plot.
That's all you need to know.
And it's just a continuation of that same style of movie.

Why are people saying that only old people still say the www?
What's going on there?
I don't know.
I think it's part of the bit.
You don't have to have it, but if you want to have it, I don't see anything wrong with it.
We've been doing it for so long this way.
I'm not ever talking about changing now.
Someone said he liked the first one a little bit better.
Can I explain why?
But being spoiler free.
Carefully.
This one is basically a continuation of that style of the first one.
Right.
Well, as you should expect it to be, because it's its own entity.
And the thing is going into the first one, I knew nothing.
Let's see in this film, which is in a way, the superhero movie version of South Park
where they insult everybody, it's against the norm.
We break all the rules and not knowing that about the first film, leaving it.
I loved it because it was such a fresh, breath of fresh air.
This one still does the same stuff, but I don't get that initial, oh my god, they're breaking
every rule here, you're expecting it in this one.
I'm hearing you.
So that's why I like the first one a little bit better.
I didn't see anything I hated worse than the first film or anything I love more than
the first film.
I mean, I love them just as much, but I have to give it because the original was the first
one which broke all the molds and surprised a lot of people like me.
So let me, let me, let me, let me ask you a question then.
Because what I'm hearing is that perhaps you didn't know a lot about the character going
on.
Just from the Logan movie, do you think that if you had known more about the character
itself, your opinion would have changed it before you saw the first one?
I don't know because I know this what his character was if I knew he was a smart mouth who
didn't sold everybody and the film was going to break the molds like South Park, maybe
possibly.
I'm actually kind of shocked you didn't because it's not like this thing crept up on
everybody.
I didn't know.
I'm in a vacuum.
Like I said, I don't have the great people walked in the movie going, oh my god, they're
breaking like the credit scenes in the first film.
It's like, I'm already, I'm already hooked in love that.
I will say this one thing I did enjoy when it comes to the acting and acting is just as
good as the first one.
Right.
Is the cab driver played by Sony or S.O.N.I.
I don't know.
Yeah.
Um, it's like this name is dope in there.
It sounds like it.
It sounds like a wrap.
How they evolved his character more, I really enjoyed that.
He's in more scenes as long as spoiler free.
But his character has expand his character, expand his character, which I think really
get, which I really enjoyed on that.
But there's nothing I really didn't hate and I thought it was just more of the same,
but it wasn't rehash.
It's new insulting.
So is it maybe because some of that shock and awe had already worn off for you?
Okay.
Let's go to the other side of that coin.
Chad, who liked me knew a lot about this character going in.
What were your feelings?
I like the fact that with a sequel, you always get, it's the new car smell hasn't quite
worn off yet.
And you don't have to get bogged down in the minutia of telling the origin story all over
again.
You just go right into it.
So you've already got character development well underway.
And you can see how they've grown between the last time we saw them and the time we're
seeing them now.
And then you introduce these new players into the mix and you see how well everybody gels.
Now giving what Don just said, from what I understand, that's why the original director left
the production was because he wanted to go in a slightly different direction and Ryan
have in the poll that he did said, no, this works to what works, especially with that
character.
Because we were gambling.
We bet the farm on the first one.
And can I say even the IMDB page has a bit of a spoiler?

There is someone in it that I didn't know was in it.
If you look at the IMDB page, this listed directly below the Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

Just looking at cast members.
Yeah.

Again, this is just one of those episodes that we have to be very, very, very, very careful.
So not only are we navigating a minefield in this kind of an episode, we're also navigating
a minefield with each other, too, which then multiplies that difficulty and they
feel a little bit of the stress.

I'm sorry if this thing sounds a bit stupid, but we're really trying really hard.
So let's go to the middle of the road with the general, but we're your thoughts.

I said I would have a hard time picking between the two to have a favorite.

We're really, really enjoyed it.
From moment one, it takes you for a ride.
And I so enjoyed the first one that I'm already bought the soundtracks for this one.
I'm ready to pre-order the Blu-ray TVT.

You know, it's, I've already said I want to go see it again and often.

Well, it's in the theater.
I want more money to this film because I want more.
Let me put it to you this way.
As soon as we left, we went straight to Best Buy and bought the 4K Blu-ray.
That's the first one.

To say you can get about this one yet.

I'd already watched the first one.
Yeah, I didn't have it.
I thought all that.

And that was a good thing.
I watched the first one.
Had a refresher.
It was a week or two ago.
And that was good to have that in my head before going into this.

You don't have to know.

You don't have to have seen the first one.
But the first one's so good.
Why wouldn't you watch it again anyway?

because I saw you right after this screening,
because you and I went to another screen.

and is it after the entire credits scene,
or is it in the middle?

Usually how a lot of times when they do sequels,
the sequels are bomb a lot of times.
And you look at the film history,
not every time, but there's been that.
This is not that.
I was, I still loved it.
How about Rowan?
Because when they first announced him,
you're like, really?
And then I saw him with the haircut,
and I was like, okay, I can kind of go there.
He's still, and maybe it's because of the exaggeration
of comics.
He's still not beefy enough as my cable.
I think he's bigger than who the original director
wanted to use.
Did you not get my audition tape?

The guy that played the head coach in Friday night
lights the TV series.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, no.
That's why Ryan, that was one of the creative differences
that Ryan had with the original director.
I got it back in the hood on that.
What happened is I intercepted your audition tape
and put mine in there in the mail, so.
Well, apparently that didn't work for you, either.
And you had mentioned the other film.
He was part of recently.
It's different enough that you don't see crossover.
I don't know that I don't know that I'll be able to do that
because it's going to be in my head.
Oh, well, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't.

Okay, you gotta look at Avengers where he's all CGI
the whole time, you don't.
But you see him in it.
I mean, I totally saw Josh Brolin in that performance.
Totally.
You'll be all right.
I'm sure I'll be fine.
It's still a full CGI thing versus this is half CGI
or three quarter CGI.
He captures, I mean, but he, you know,
no country format.
This guy is a great actor.
Josh Brolin's a great actor.
Yeah, it does not disappoint.
Well, I mean, not a fan of his stepmother, but, you know,
you, what's a stepmother?
Brobor Strison.
Oh, okay.
You, and she got killed by who?
Rubbered to me, the Rubbered to me.
There's your South Park tie.
That was next to Barber Strison.
But still, she had a black heart.
You, you see, I can't help but go to,
in my head, always go to his portrayal
of a younger Tommy Lee Jones in Men in Black 3
to see just how far.
Yeah, that's fair.
Just how far you can go.
And cable to most people, you know,
is a character that they really aren't that familiar with.
Okay.
I mean, you and me notwithstanding.
Fair enough.
A lot of people know Deadpool,
but not everybody knows cable unless they're really into Deadpool.
Okay.
I didn't, but the point he, he really captures
the essence of cable.
He really does.
I like the fleshing out of the character.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, you know, if, if anything,
you kind of get an origin story of cable.
But, you know, obviously, you've got to establish who he is
and why he's doing what he's doing.
But he seems very comfortable taking that role.
Okay.
And on this one, if you didn't see the first,
you could still see this one and get through fine.
Don't you think?
I'd be shocked if anybody saw this and didn't see the first one.
Yeah.
But it's not required viewing.
Although it's recommended viewing,
but it's not required.
No, it's, it stands on it.
Yeah, it really does stand.
It stands on two red feet.
Any downside to it?
Gosh, that it's not, it's too short, maybe?
It's really.
I'm just two hours isn't enough for me.
I love this character.
I love it.
I love what Ryan Reynolds does with it.
He inhabits Deadpool better than just about any actor
and habits their role as a comic book character
outside of maybe RDJ.
And yeah, and I wouldn't call it a downside,
but this one just like the first one is not for all ages.
No, no, I mean, that's an nature of the character.
Right, but we need to make sure and reiterate,
because apparently there were some people that missed the memo
because there were kids at the screening.
This is not for fans.
Well, we'll see, I've had people asking me,
is this safe to take my kids at my boss?
Is this safe to take my eight year old of this?
No, not even a little bit.
It's rated R for a reason.
And it's a very, very, so hard arm.
Yeah, it's a very hard R.
I mean, it's just as bloody and brutal as,
as the first one.
Did you say what?
No.
No, that's a different actor.
I'm sorry, I apologize.
But, Ryan Reynolds as the ambassador of all things
Deadpool just needs to keep being that,
the ambassador of all things Deadpool.
And I love all the things he's doing, like,
Korean TV unicorn singing.
And didn't he do some kind of an ad with David Beckham?
Yeah, I saw recently.
Yeah, there was something with Beckham.
He did a music video.
Well, I was so into him.
Missing on him.
Missing on him.
And to create this thing on him.
He hijacked Cole Bear last night.
Nice.

It's worth seeking out.

All right, do we need the final analysis on the show?
We're not going to give you thumbs up, thumbs down.
We're not going to give you letter grades, numbers,
Chimichongas, because they're for me.

I knew it was going to be Chimichongas.
Because Chimichongas are awesome.

We're going to ask these kids up to two questions.
Question number one is, would they see this film again?
If the answers know them were done here.
But if the answer is yes, then the follow-up question
is how far are they willing to go to see it?
I think one person has already expressed her opinion.
From the best of the best of the worst of the best,
here is the order, full price at a theater,
down to a twilight showing, down to a matinee,
down to early morning on a weekend,
down to second run at the dollars theater,
down to actually leaving your house
and getting it from red box, down to Netflix, down to cable.
And since she's already answered the question,
we'll start with her.
General, you would see this again.
But let me ask you this.
Would you pay an upcharge for IMAX or Dolby Atmos?
I'm sorry, Dolby Cinema.
I would for at least one of the multiple times
I planned to see it again.

When you're watching a movie,
are you serious right now?

When you're watching a movie as a member of the audience,
because you know, you just said there's four walls
in this room.
You never see the front wall
because that's where the camera is, right?
That's considered the fourth wall,
but to the actors in the movie, to them, that's a wall.
So when an actor identifies that they're in a movie
or on a TV show, kind of like Zach Morris
didn't save by the bell,
that's called breaking the fourth wall.
Okay.
Because they know it's a bit.
They know that there's no wall really there.
Okay, when they're talking directly to the audience,
remember it's called breaking the fourth wall.
See, other people that are going to work on the show.
And you know what?
You can learn stuff on this show.
Sometimes they ain't the right lessons,
but you can learn stuff from this show.
And there in mind, Don, he did that in the comic.
Yeah, that was the bit that's the thing.
They made your part of what makes that character unique.

So, would you see this again?
Oh, yeah.

I don't know about the IMAX stuff and all that.

if they do this in 3D, if it help,

I'm proud of myself on being spoiler free
as much as I was in this movie.
