But I'm not alone for this particular episode because I rarely am.

And a man that just recently learned what atomic dog is.
You may know him as fun, don't go, but his mom and even done for it.

Whatever we do one of these things, it is to review something and this particular episode is no exception.
We are here today to review a film from veteran director last house drum.
It is called a dog's purpose.
But we start this whole thing.
Yes, sir.

This is gonna be money well spent.
Just gonna say it up front.
This is basically the story of the, I guess you could call it the spirit of a dog.
If it had nine lives.
Right.
The dog is voiced by Josh Gad, who everybody knows if you listen to the show.
I'm a huge fan.
And the dog's first real life is of as a dog named Bailey.
And so no, there's not one for just real past.
That's what I'm saying is first real long life comes from Bailey.
And Bailey is raised by a family from a rescue.
And really, I guess I really don't, for people that haven't seen the trailer.
Because this trailer kind of gives you a feel.
It's based on a book, a very popular book.
That's one of a, there's two books in this series.
The book is actually called a dog's purpose guide for humans.
I believe it's the full guide book.
And this book was written.
I just meant, we'll just lost it by, oh, I just lost it.
Okay.
We'll just, we'll check that out.
But it was a very popular book.
Of course, because the popular books are made into movies.
Peggy Lypton also ended this film, a huge fan of the book is based by W Bruce Cameron.
It was the original author.
Okay.
And if you really pay attention, you kind of know where the film is going.
And that's kind of, I mean, it goes through Bailey's multiple lives.
Bailey passes away and then comes back.
Not always as a boy dog.
Different, different, different breed.
Every time.
Yeah.
And how this dog's essence affects the lives of multiple people over a span of probably 40,
50 years.
Some of them.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Starting in the late 50s, early 60s, moving forward.
At one point, Bailey becomes a female German shepherd who's a police dog in Chicago.
Okay, nine unit.
At one point, she becomes a little, kind of like it.
I'll come right near so like something like that for a college student named Maya.
I mean, there's some really great performances in this all over there.
The cop that she works with is John Ortiz plays Carlos.
And it's kind of, it's got a certain kismit quality to it.
I will say that.
Also, the, the first major storyline comes from Ethan, who in his teenage years is paid by
KJ.
And the day that we record this, Apple will be appearing as Archie in the brand new series Riverdale,
that debut on the CW.
Okay.
So he's going to his star is going to be really, really, really bright and really, really fast.
I know this movie's been mired in its own controversy and that's fine.
Yeah, we're not going to get into it.
People know it's going on.
But I really, really, really enjoyed this film.
I really enjoyed this film.
I'm just going to say it.
Like, I knew going into this.
I was probably, I was, I might be forced to give up my mancard.
I knew it was possible.
So I was fully prepared.
Did I get weepy?
Absolutely.
Because, you know, I'm one of those people that I just, I love animals.
Yeah.
You know, the two fur balls that run around here that let me live here, which is great.
And by the way, it's kind of interesting that two flister,
how do the battle cat is actually stars in this film again.
It's not this first movie.
He's, he's huge.
He's, he's worldwide.
I'm going, yep.
There's two flister.
There's 100.
He's a worldwide flister.
He's my boy.
Because I saw that one cat.
Now one, I thought, yep, there's two flister things.
And dad is so perfect in this role.
He's, he's dead aren't.
Like his voice fits the character of this dog.
No matter what iteration the dog is.
Yeah, even if it's a female dog, he's still fit.
And he captures the curiosity of the dog really well.
He really does a great job in this role.
That I know, I said, right on IMDB, that originally they were pursuing Bradley Cooper.
And I don't know that Bradley Cooper wouldn't have been able to play this nearly as well.
Well, you just like remember, we did a monkey kingdom.
I said how Tina Fey made that role as a narrator.
She narrated it.
Yeah, versus a 60 year old man.
Say thing here.
Hello, son.
Exactly.
I mean, imagine being one's mom.
That's my Morgan Freeman.
I'm pretty kind of proud of my Morgan Freeman.
I'm going to be honest with you.
Yeah, I mean, he plays a part.
You can imagine like the T. Swizzle or even me try to do this.
It would not work.
God made it happen.
Yeah, he was perfect.
He was great in this.
And I was a huge fan.
And my heart broke every time that that Bailey had to move on.
You know, it's just.
This movie is right at about an hour, 40.
And I think the length is perfect.
Exactly.
The watch scale.
45 minutes.
No, 40.
And that might be a record close to it.
The first time I looked at my watch because the story just grabs a hold of you.
And doesn't want to let go.
And it works so well.

You know, there's been a couple of films in a past that have tried to do that thing where they make.
Each multiple stories where they kind of have some kind of common thing that make them in a week from each other.
You know, whether it be crash or something like that.
This one, they did the same thing, but it worked.
It really worked on this story.
And they cut they are into some way integrated.
So I want to say because I want to spoil anything.
Right.
But my other big thing, which I want to bring up is the acting.
It's not just Gad.
My shout-up for this role goes to the dogs.
But it comes to the dogs.
Absolutely.
These dogs made the film.
It's like they were actually human beings being able to play a part.
Even if they were humans, they played the part so well.
But these are dogs.
I was so impressed by the acting of the dogs.
Absolutely.
Totally agree with you there.
You know, like the political thing, whatever the, you know, whatever.
I think the risk reward of.
Yeah, but yeah, but I mean, this really gives you appreciation for dogs.
Because all these lives that these dogs have, some of them aren't PGK.
You know, the effect that these dogs have on people's lives.
Yes.
I mean, it's not just a study of the dog, but to people around there.
It's a lot of study.
But you know, there's like that one where that one owner.
You know what I'm talking about, you know.
The one close to the end.
Yeah.
You know, with the, yeah, real, real animal lover.
You could say that on that.
You're the, I mean, that will give you appreciation.
But there is a payoff to that.
Yes, there is.
There is.
There is.
But it's still kind of, you know, gives you appreciation.
Two dogs and how they're always there for you.
And why do they think that way?
I just, there's nothing about this movie that I didn't absolutely love.
And I thought it was a wonderfully shot wonderfully acted by everybody involved.
And you felt the, the, a genuine emotional connection amongst each set of, of cast and the animals they worked with.
It, it just, it's one of those films that I got weepy.
But when we left the theater, I felt like my emotions had been purged.
And I mean, that in a good way.
Yes.
I was able to get my emotions out.
And I just felt.
Calm.
I guess is the word I could use.
I felt a sense of calm that I haven't felt coming out of a movie in a long time.
Beautifully done.
I, and, you know, used to kind of use this term.
But this film does not touch you emotionally.
There's something wrong with you or you are communist.
It's one of those two.
I'm right there with you.
I'm right there with you.
I was kind of thinking on this.
This film would be perfect for so many different types.
You know, it's a, this film was not made for us.
This film would be perfect for a family film.
This film would be perfect for the kids' night out.
And also that first movie date with a girl.
You know what?
I can't debate you on this.
I cannot debate you on this.
And, or even a date night film.
But oh, if this was a first date film, watch out.
Guys, if you're listening, you got that first date coming up.
Or it's not, or it's going to be a movie.
Take them to this film.
You will take me for it.
You will take me for it.
Trust me.
But let's also be honest.
The lady's going to be hip too.
You want to figure it out.
She's just saying, oh, we're going to see this movie.
Okay.
I see what you got going on.
But when it's over, she won't mind because she'll love it.
It's a great, great movie.
And whether you're in animal lover or not,
there's something in this film for everybody.
Literally.
I mean, unless you have no soul.
Yeah.
I mean, and then that case, this might grow one for you.
Yeah.
I'm just saying.
I literally cannot think of anything wrong with this film.
And it's PG.
Yes.
So good for the whole family.
Yeah.
I mean, because there are some scenes that kind of, you know,
I understand the PG at all.
But, you know, I mean, even the little kids, the kids will love seeing the dogs.
Even though they won't understand the story.
I mean, I can't imagine what's cuter than a puppy.
Yeah.
I mean, even that was, I can't even think of any cursing.
Was there any cursing in that film?
Or I think it was more the, some of the more mature situation.
Yes.
But I don't remember any either.
Do I?
So I mean, there might be a word here and there, but nothing that stuck out for me.
Take the kids.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Anything else we want to cover for we do the final analysis?
