Welcome.
My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the Clubhouse podcast.
And in less than 60 days, we will be 16 years after the wedding.
My marriage is almost open up to drive.
It is time for another home show.
I should have done that with the farm, and it would have been better.
Let's just go around the room.
In the co-host chair is Lady of the House.
And again, the most important person of this episode.
She is the only one that's seen in the movie.
She is General.
Welcome Friend.
Hello, everyone. Glad you're back with us.
out the day as is the official fact checker of sooner gator productions and a man whose
marriage is teething right now they just passed the two mark you know is a boonoo but his
mom and even don't ford on the calm down for it hey brother I haven't probably teed since
I've been to I didn't say you were teething I said you're nervous yeah but the last thing
I have for teet was yeah that's kind of the way that works you know what they say that
six months is that honeymoon period I haven't seen that period end it's good yeah it's a good
thing yeah give it to the fantastic fate for whatever we do one of these it is to review something this
is no different for the number just look in the description because we're recording this way ahead
of time Bart fruindlich directs a an American-ish version of a foreign film called after the wedding
for what starts this whole thing yes sir we got to think Josh and our best friends
all right they're I'm telling you there's going to come a day they're going to use not not
that version but they're going to use it they're going to have it done correctly all right with people
like Rob that can sing as opposed to Don and I so general you saw this the in div description says
a manager of an orphanage in Colcata travels to New York to meet a benefactor Michelle Williams
Julian Moore Billy crewed up will chase Abby Quinn it's a lot of people in this thing oh yes all right
so this is one of those films that it is beautifully filmed well acted it's just not my genre
but I still enjoyed it talk about what um there's so this is a remake of a Danish film and from what
I've heard I need to go check out the Danish version as well um Danishes but this is it's one of those
stories that you get to a point and it's like okay one of two things or one of three things is going
to happen okay they went there with it and now we're going to go here with it and it is a
life study um do you when you say go there and go here jeez do you feel like it was more scatter shot
the way the story was told it's it's kind of like a encyclopedia brown where you can pick which
direction it goes I love encyclopedia brown and you you know it's going to go one of like two ways
or one of three ways and they're like okay they picked that option okay so it's kind of you know
the interchangeable storyboard thing it's stories we've heard before but like I said it's beautifully
shot it's well acted um it's just one of those storylines that I don't necessarily enjoy watching
do you I mean this thing is almost a solid two hours do you feel like it was drawn out or was it
just no it was did the story just not catch you um it was well paced okay again it's just it's
one of those things that there's parts to the story that I just don't enjoy that in my movies
I can't I can't go deeper into it because I don't want to spoil um but it's you know it's a
story we've heard with some nice twist to it like the scenes in Calcutta and um some of the scenes
in New York and everything hmm did you I mean there's some power hitters in this thing like I said
well act did they did they keep it was that enough did you at least keep you engaged or for the
most part it was okay I did check my watch a couple times but I'm not sure if that was it wasn't
the pace of the movie I think it was just more gauging of okay how much longer am I here um because
I have issues um okay what's for but it it's really something I mean other people really really
enjoyed it some people didn't um I know one other reviewer got up went took a phone call came
back like 15 minutes later so at where you at that point we're going okay it's it's not just me
yeah yeah okay and it's like I said it's it's it's this type of story but beautifully beautifully
shot well acted there's one scene between Julian Moore and Billy Crude up that's just it's powerhouse
I mean it's it's an award-worthy scene okay I guess I guess where my disconnect is coming in it's
so it's more the story than it's the performance correct right you know has everything to do with
the storyline itself not the screenwriting not the acting not the shooting it's just the storyline
itself that isn't my cup of tea okay fair enough did it feel longer than it should have
uh there were bits that could have been cut out okay now you said one person walked out but do
you think a lot of people me guess it should not cup of tea when I understand that but do you think
there'll be people out there that maybe it would be their cup of tea and I yeah definitely there
are people that are gonna love this I would love to see it nominated for some awards it's definitely
that quality of a movie okay and what would you really change like in the storyline not being
spoke you know being spoiler free well how do you think you could if you were the director what you
would have changed to enhance it to maybe make it more something more to your liking probably it
was such a major plot point I couldn't have changed it okay all right that's a question I had on it
all right yeah anything else you want to talk about anyone's go straight to the final analysis
I think we can get straight to the final analysis all right wow that was this could be one of the
quickest ones we've ever done the way we do the final analysis on the show we're not going to give
you thumbs up thumbs down letter grades numbers horrible bands anything like that we're gonna ask
the general up to two questions question number one is would she see this film again if the answers
know them were done here but the answers yes from the best of the best of the worst of the best
here's how it goes full price in a theater down to twilight showing down to an afternoon showing
down to early morning down to second one at the dollar theater down to obtaining a physical copy
down to streaming down to cable general would you see after the wedding again so I got to play
the twist on this one there is an audience this is for that will thoroughly enjoy it me I wouldn't
see it again so you know but if somebody was going to go see it how would you recommend they do so
I I would recommend a twilight
all right fair enough so right there on the cusp on the other side all right it is I'm going
I was gonna say and I'm sure the acting of it saved it from being worse than it was to me because
it's just that storyline I don't like okay it is Bart fruindleaks after the wedding for when
this whole thing yes we got think Josh and our best friends there was almost there was almost
harmony there almost no there really wasn't we love our vendors they let us see movies and stuff
