It really is eight o'clock on the east coast and five o'clock on the west coast.
It is the 24th of October in the year of our Lord, 2024.
Season 15 episode 16, 685 times you have been welcome to the clubhouse podcast or one
stop shop for all things sports entertainment, pop culture and pro wrestling, because that's
what we do.
Everything almost back to abnormal.
Welcome.
My name is Rob.
I'm the executive producer of the clubhouse podcast.
And I am still catching up on stuff, but had a great time in Vegas, the wedding for
Courtney Colton was absolutely beautiful.
Shout out to everybody that helped out everywhere, as part of this ceremony, everybody at
the facility at the golf course there, had a great time, but man, even for a guy that
doesn't party, Vegas will take a lot out of you, trust, but I still had a good time.
But I'm not alone, Chibuya.
Over there is my co-host and a man who is now officially a professional podcaster.
Hey, man, see, I was actually thinking of a different way of like, when is the last
time, if ever, that we've had one of us coming back from Vegas and it's not me, not since
you've been on the show, because I haven't been to Vegas since it's one year.
18, maybe?
Oh, it's all, yeah, it was on the show recently, or before that, but I don't know that we
did anything other than have a week off while you were covered, because in Vegas drains
you.
And again, I don't party.
I don't drink.
I was in bed at the Airbnb by like 930 every night.
No issues.
I got off that plane.
First of all, what is up with landing at 830 on a Saturday night and love feel
being a ghost town?
I'm not kidding.
We left out a love field at 605 AM on a Wednesday, and it looked exactly the same way
it looked when we landed at 835 in the evening on a Saturday.
Everything was closed.
Fly out before people wake up, land before people finish parting.
I'm just like, bro, and I did go to the water burger on the strip, but I do
call shenanigans, because it's closed from 3 to 9 AM, which is prime to keto time.
Well, that it's not a water burger if it's not open 24, 7.
I don't care.
Just saying, but they are building 14 more out there and they'll get there.
Yeah.
So shot.
And it was water burger quality.
It wasn't like strip food, a version there of, and they were, they were also
partnered up with something called Paris, which is like a New York style.
Something.
I know Paris.
Why do I know Paris?
And they had a, they had lobster dip for the bargain based in price of $38.
But if you do go out to the strip, it is located right in the water, but they were on
the same menu.
Like one half of the menu is Paris, and the other half was water burger.
Yeah, it's right in front of the RES, and I'm eating at this place, and don't remember
it.
It opened this year, and you've been out there this year.
So.
Yeah, well, I don't know what I'm saying is, I'm wondering if it's an extension of the same
Paris that we have in the Metroplex.
Could be.
Could be.
But we had, again, we had a great time.
Of course, didn't get to see the fountains, because they were building the grandstance
for the fountains.
So, which is right in front of the Bologna.
We did see the remnants of the tropical.
It did grab a lot of things.
They saw how the street signs up for the tropical, which was weird.
Well, I don't know that they're going to be changing the names other than it's now
tropical and a boulevard.
They'll change it period.
Oh, I'm talking about the kind or the casino.
The street right street.
What I'm saying is what you'll probably have is that a wind up going to like the neon
museum or other places of its ilk rather than just being torn down.
Fair enough.
But there were two of them.
So I thought at least one of them would be gone.
But you know, still don't like the streets snipers, don't like them at all.
Please do not refer to it as that in Vegas.
Oh, no.
I would not out in public.
But that's how I refer.
Because it's kind of like at the mall, like all of them, the perfume snipers, the same
basic.
No, I understand.
I understand.
I'm just saying because of things that have happened recently in that city don't just the
harassers might be more accurate.
I'll read disconnected.
No, we're here.
Just starting to show things, Heidi.
Well, we're going to power through it.
We're going to get to the good stuff.
We do want to start with some sad news in the world of sports with the passing of
Fernando Valazuela at 63.
I was watching PTI today and Will Bond was saying that they were covering he and
somebody else were covering the Olympics in LA in 84 and their editor got mad because
they took a side trip because they wanted to see Fernando Valazuela pitch and because one
does absolutely.
So, but yeah, I mean, Fernando Mania, that was, but that was kind of a little bit before
your time.
Like you would have known him as in later years.
But the height of Fernando Mania was just 1981.
Yeah.
But I was lucky enough to have seen him pitch.
Obviously, not during that time, but early on.
As we know with you and I from South Florida, I did get to see him in
Viro at Dodger Town, so it was a thing.
And I remember multiple people I know of that live in California talking about when it was
a Fernando day, be ready because there was going to be some Tejano.
There was going to be tacos for the tailgating and everything was a Fiesta and I was like,
that sounds awesome.
Let's do that.
As I was waiting for you to join the, the, the link here, I found somebody had
posted a Tejano version of a culture personality in it.
And maybe someone who was really honest with me now, was it by easy band by chance
because they have great great work.
I don't know, but I did not enjoy it.
Okay.
Well, if you're not going to enjoy things of itself, and do not partake, but I am a big fan of
Easy band who take a lot of pop songs turn them in your Tejano.
I don't know.
And I know it was well, I don't know if it was the more accurate, but it's really good.
I don't know who it was.
I just saw a thing.
I'm more covering why I said easy band rather than just leave it hanging.
In the, why is this a thing story of the week?
Two members of this year's SEC Legends class
will be Vince Young and Bradley Cooper.
Okay, what's your opinion on this?
Because I understand it from both sides, but
if I had to sum up my opinions in one word?
No!
That would be it.
Now, how, what are your thoughts on the people who are like?
It's not their fault that they just weren't in the SEC at that time.
No!
I agree with you, but I understand the argument.
I just think it's a bad one.
No, big 12 Legends?
Absolutely.
We'll not debate it.
I've actually sat down with Vince Young.
I did a Q&A with him at Greater Austin Comic-Con two years ago.
You spoke very highly of him.
And he was very funny.
He was very funny.
He was very engaging.
I was here for it.
But you never played in the SEC.
Would you play it as many games in the SEC as they have?
Now, would you be adverse to them doing a...
No, we don't, I don't believe it's a physical
Hall of Fame or building.
But would you be amenable if they, like,
not so much asterisk bit, but said current SEC teams
with Legends of their past kind of thing, like making her or if I though divide?
No!
Okay.
I just, it doesn't make any sense to me at all.
And I think it diminishes people from Texas now and from Oklahoma now.
That's an interesting point because they earned it because they're in the SEC.
It's that simple.
As much as I want it to be a thing, I wouldn't put somebody from Notre Dame
and the Big Ten Hall of Fame or Big Ten Legends or ACC Legends.
You didn't, you, you got a lot of rivals there,
but you didn't play in the conference.
You were not a member.
That is correct.
Yeah.
And again, I think highly of both of them.
Agreed.
But this makes no sense.
Zero zelts, not a nil.
I think it was purely them trying to,
I'm trying to think of the word because it's not an olive branch because there's not
fighting in this regard, but I think it's more trying to,
my favorite way of looking at this is the SEC trying to throw a bone to Texas and OU and going,
yeah, fince on one of them in national title.
What are you going to get back to?
I look very looking.
I've ever watched, by the way.
I was not happy about the result, but yeah, it was an amazing game.
Yeah, again, I'm a, B.T.
You know that.
Anybody know that?
Exactly.
But good football is good football is good football.
And that is like,
Jen and I knew that game was going to come down to the wire to the point where we left sports
city after the third quarter so we could be at home for the end of it for multiple reasons.
One to watch it, two to not deal with the fallout because that place was going to be nuts out.
Yeah.
Well, it was going to be anywhere with that.
Well, that's why we were at home.
Yeah.
Some scores from this past weekend.
Fortest State loses again to Duke.
Yeah.
Like, we were at the rehearsal dinner, which again, I, and I'm saying this now, I hate pacific time.
Not a fan.
Not a fan.
I know you have tried to convince me of certain things about pacific time.
I'm out.
I'm out.
I don't like that around the horn comes on at two o'clock in the afternoon.
That's the end of my day, not after lunch.
I feel like we have a step away from get PTI off my lawn.
I just, it, it, I'm not a fan.
And then I want to call my wife because I'm like, oh, it's dinner time.
No, it's 11 o'clock where she is.
You know, by the time I'm ready to watch my late night news.
Oh, no, it's tomorrow in the central time, Joe.
But yeah, we were just filled.
Phil was like, I was going back and forth.
And my Phil was like, I just don't want updates.
I don't.
Number one, Oregon puts 35 on Purdue's Gooseg.
Number 11, BYU beats Oklahoma State by three Clemson wins big by 17 over Virginia.
Number 21, Ms. Zoo, who, who would they beat Auburn by four?
But I'm going to keep a blind eye on that game Saturday because they're playing an
Alabama team.
That is, this is like, I don't know that I've ever said these words.
Alabama is Maker Break on Saturday.
Oh, a thousand, I, you know what, there's a genuine argument that last Saturday
might have been Maker Break for them.
They have to round.
Well, my favorite one that was pointed out to me today is what kind of a world are we
living in right now?
Where Duke beat Florida State in football.
And Indiana is ranked higher than Alabama in football.
Which was my next game to cover because they peed a much less over Nebraska.
Yeah, go back 15 years and go, yeah, Indiana is going to beat them in 20 24,
56 to 7.
Every Nebraska fan you know will ban you from the state.
I mean, you've got, and plus you've got Army and Navy both ranked for the first time since
what, like, the 40s?
I want to say they said something like 76 or something like that.
But yeah, uh, Badger Badger Badger wins by 20 Army.
Again, number 23, they beat East Carolina by 17 Miami beats Louisville in a game where it sucks to have
the under 52 to 45.
They've got Florida State this week, which, which might be idle.
I just man, this game feels weird to me.
Well, you know, I have the long that Miami's been trash.
Well, but you know, I always want that game to end in a 0 0 tie and I'm fine with it.
But something tells me that that game is going to surprise a lot of people,
especially if Michael Irvin doesn't make it because he has been grimace for
University of Miami to that that he has been in the most of the court of ways.
Yes, South Carolina beats Oklahoma 35 to 9.
Number 20 Illinois, by the way, ranked in week seven beats Michigan by too touched.
I get go back three years and say Michigan in 2024, Illinois is going to beat you by
to the back of them. Yeah. Number 12, Notre Dame 31 to 13 over Georgia track.
What do you have the game of footage on right now?
Of, are you talking about Thursday night? Yes. I am watching it with prime vision over here.
Okay. So just so anybody knows exactly where the time is.
They're interviewing Kyrin Williams in front of the field boxes, which is one of the coolest things for
so-fi. And Illinois, is literally just eating chicken wings and waving to the camera from behind Kyrin Williams.
I'm here for it. I love her so much. And I love chicken wings.
Yeah. Let's see here. Notre Dame this weekend will be playing Navy in MetLife.
That'll be a fun one. And speaking of Illinois, did you see those helmets?
Oh, the red-grange uniforms? Oh, with the leather head helmets.
But you know why that was, right? And that finished. So it, I mean, those things looked real.
I had a moment. I, okay. I know this is stupid, but it's a product of the era.
I genuinely had a moment where I thought that they were all wearing guardian caps because of how
they were done. But that just speaks the volumes to the artistic creativity to those helmets.
Those looked incredible. But the red-grange uniforms were sick.
And I, I was just like, I feel like George Clooney and John Krasinski should have done the coin toss.
They had to make more money with that failure of a movie to do that. But still. But remember,
that was also pro football, not college. You find me three podcasts that reference that movie this week.
You ain't going to find two. Look, it's us in the last list. That's it.
Again, number 24 Navy over Charlotte, 51 to 17 NC State beats Cal by a point.
We do it all the way from it. How badly do you want that last game of the season to be two undefeated?
When you get the army, absolutely. All police let that be undefeated.
And plus that would put both of them in the playoff and I'm on board. Because you know,
I'm always on board with the service academies. It would put them in the playoff. But the crazy
thing about that is I believe they're not eligible for the buys. And yeah, they're not part of the
power five. And that's fine. But get in. No, but what I'm saying is is let's prepare for
Dom's return and that being the next complaint. We do want to send. I don't know if you saw this
earlier today. This broke a couple of hours ago. South Florida's men's basketball coach passed away
earlier today at the age of 63. I believe they said we want to send our best out to the balls.
But they also beat UAV last week. So this team, I think it's going to take a lot for them to,
I mean, they'll be bowl eligible. This is 64. No, it was 43. 43. Oh, good. It was during a
procedure. Oh, wow. I'm so sorry. It was during a medical procedure where there was an issue
and he did not recover. Oh, hurts my heart. Because that was what we had when I was there.
Was basketball. Because we didn't have football yet. Let's see. Old Dominion beats Texas State.
Number seven, Tennessee over Alabama. We talked about that earlier. Did you see?
Did you see what they've done at Vanderbilt? Which time today? Oh, today. No, please,
please inform me. Because don't they have Texas this week? That is a good question. I'll check the
you keep going. They have put a net up in front of the other team's student section. I do believe.
Okay. I don't know why. I guess because Texas threw all that garbage on the field.
That is a fair point. They did not like that call. So let's see here. But again, you don't
ever leave it in the hands and reps. Something. Number eight LSU over Arkansas by two by actually 24 points.
A and M gets a 10 point win over Mississippi State. Arkansas State beats Southern Miss.
Number 16 Kansas State, 45 18 over West Virginia. Iowa State by three over UCF always go with that.
Florida starts out a little rough. But then opens up in the second half beats Kentucky 48 to 20.
We really think we might be bowl eligible. But I do believe the cocktail party is this weekend.
Well, confirming it is Texas at Vanderbilt this week. And I think they're leaving it up for another
gambling of the season two for something that wouldn't surprise me. It's actually based on how
unruly colleges are not a bad decision. ESPN are you encouraging them to throw stuff against the
screen if there is a screen. No. Never on the things being thrown out of the field. I'm not saying
whether or not you're on board, but we're talking about intoxicated hormonal
grown children. There's not change my opinion. I'm not asking your opinion. I'm saying is there the
possibility. I thought you had said are you on board with? Oh, God. I'd never ask that. Okay.
No, I said is it encouraging them to throw things because there's a screen now.
If I'm, if I'm the first two rows of that section, I'm bringing a pile and out. Yeah.
It's going to be like a Gallagher show.
Which meant to. ESPN takes over Austin for the weekend. How that work out for you?
Georgia comes to town. I'm in doubles up on you.
Yeah. Number 22 SMU this late in the season. They beat Stanford by 30 Air Force
losers by 8 to Colorado State. TCU in 13 to 7 over Utah.
Into the NFL. We know that Brandon I is now. Go ahead.
The cocktail parties next week. Florida. I believe is idle.
Let's still take. I don't. But that's that's so weird because that game is always like the
last weekend in October. Well, now it's the first weekend in November. Well, our art is Jacksonville at home
are the Jaguars at home. I will check because if that's the case that would probably be
why, because after two weeks in London, I wouldn't put them as the away team. Yep, they're at home.
Yeah. So, yeah, you have to push that game back because that's because I believe they
because that stadium does not recover. TAA bank now, right? To my knowledge. Yes. Yeah.
We know that Brandon I youk is going to be out for the season with ACL surgery.
And well, he actually, if I'm not mistaken, it was his ACL and MCL that tour,
which is pretty damning when you have two of them.
Um, and in the craziest news of the week, DeAndrey Hopkins is now a chief.
See this statistic that ESPN put up about why this is such a thing for Kansas City.
I don't know that I did. Since the start of the 2022 season,
beefs receivers have had more drops than all but one other team.
And in his career, DeAndrey Hopkins has the second best patch rate without a drop or without
drops. Number one, Larry Fitzgerald. Number two, not far behind at 1.6% of drops.
DeAndrey Hopkins. Well, I've been saying since preseason here to champs to somebody
tells you otherwise. And this does not go in a backwards direction.
Last Thursday night, Denver was giving three to New Orleans. They didn't need them because they
win by 23. Jacksonville in their second game in a row in London. Double up on New England.
Jacksonville was giving them seven. We all thought that was a little funky but they covered.
We all was you and me. What am I doing now?
And I can actually speak at my normal tone this week because I was like, I was down here a lot because
people were still sleeping. Now I get that. Seattle was getting three from Atlanta. Didn't need them.
Who did not help me? But I still went. I had a lot of confidence in Atlanta that was misplaced.
Tennessee drops an extra two to 24 points to Buffalo. Buffalo was giving them nine and a half.
Wins the rock and roll game now because no. That's what they call it. I don't care what they call it. They're idiots.
The Cincinnati was giving three and have didn't need them because they win by seven.
Green Bay was giving three. We all thought that was kind of weird but I believe both of us.
I keep thinking there was three of us. It's okay to say both. It's still accurate. Both of us. But
both of us did say Green Bay minus three. I would take that but they win by two.
Miami. That was a weird game.
Indie was giving three. Didn't need it because they win by six. Detroit, Minnesota. What a game.
So much more than the watch. I was not watching right now. I was all red zone all day.
First time it's season. I was in my recliner at noon and I didn't click it off until the last
game was done or totally told me that I couldn't watch it in New York because there's only one
game left. Is that always been a thing? Yes, it has. I guess I just haven't paid that much attention
because I'm like, well, interestingly enough, we haven't had as many, how do I put this?
We haven't had as many thin late afternoon blocks in prior years because we didn't have double
headers on Monday. We didn't have extra games on Fridays or Thursdays. So we would always have
four or more games but never too many more. So there was always another game going at the same time
and football games tend to go at roughly the same pace. Some of them go longer because of over time.
But for the most part, clocked games tend to have the same pacing. Now what you had with this one was
you had two of them starting in the traditional 405 Eastern and one starting at 425 Eastern.
So you wound up with both of those games eliminating before we're used to the block and
Barclay. First of all, respect to what he said after the game.
Did you see his post game interview? No, I did not but what I was going to wait for was
did you see what happened on the sidelines during that game? I was watching Red Zone so they were
bouncing around. No, no, no, this came out after. Okay. So go ahead with the interview and then we'll
circle back. He was nothing but class. He always has been what I'm just saying. What it's on that
level, we have to give that level of respect because he was like not a revenge game. We just came
to win. I got to see my friends. There's no hard feelings. I loved seeing mild teammates and you know,
I wish them nothing but the best. So shout out to Barclay for that. Yeah. And I maintain the other
part of it is any quote unquote Giants fan that is mad at Barclay. You're an idiot.
Have you seen the commercial with the whole family wearing giant jerseys and the daughter
comes in with a Barclay Philly jersey? Yeah, I saw that when it was really nice. Not the player.
And I mean, he just went between him and Derek Henry. Good. Yeah, hard.
But they do win. We need to three go ahead. So the thing that happened was after the last
starters drive we'll call it. Say quantity sitting on the bench. He's just normally sitting
there waiting Seriani comes over and sits next to him. And literally says like you're 13 yards away
from your career high. And I really want to get that for you against these guys. Yeah, Barclay was like,
I did see this. Yes, go ahead. Yeah, and Barclay was like, no, I'm good. Let the backup seat.
And I was like, that's the kind of teammate you want on every body to eat. And I'm like, you know what,
like, he may not play for my team anymore, but I don't dislike him. It may not eat up anything
into his check, but it might help help enhance somebody else's check, too. Absolutely numbers.
Let's see Vegas goes to so-fi and loses by five. And they wouldn't have covered because LA was
given them seven commanders. Did you get my text earlier today, by the way?
I may have seen it, but go on. So Chicago on the by last week.
Inside the NFL, they do Ocho Cinco's picks. Ocho's predictions or chads,
chads, predictions or something. And they got to this week's game, which is Chicago playing football
club. Put a pin in it. We'll get to it in a minute. But they beat Carolina by almost six touchdowns.
Let's see how their starter after the first drive and Marcus Marriota. Dear god. You know what?
I really want to say in this regard. Number one, that's how bad one of these teams is. Number two,
that's how good of an offensive mind, Cliff Kingsbury has always been. His problem was when he had
a whole team to work with. Yeah. Well, and what I mean, I've said this before. Marriota is a
serviceable backup. He's not a guy that I'm going to put out there as a starter, but he's a serviceable
backup. And with that already informative practice, protect him. Let's go. You want my hot take?
Always. I would, I would kill to have Marriota on the Giants at this point.
Kansas City beat San Francisco by two, and they were getting two and a half, which was weird.
Pittsburgh over the jets out there at Are you sure stadium by 22 Baltimore over Tampa Bay
and other games? Baltimore beats Tampa Bay by 10 in a crazy game. And then Arizona, the
charges by a safety because it is time for charges to start charging, charging. Right now with
eight 35 left in the first quarter minutes soda is up by a touchdown. They scored quickly.
They marched on that field in like four plays. Yeah. So I've got Cooper Cup in the game.
I have faith tonight. I don't know if that's going to be a prize act. If it was Pooka,
Nicole is already back. Yeah, seeing him in the pregame was great. And he had rear four
catches and he's going right now. And by the way, Minnesota giving two and a half in that.
It wouldn't be enough. Give me Minnesota coming up Sunday morning. We're back to noon.
No more. We got about two more weeks until another game. And that'll be in Germany.
Oh, God, that I almost feel bad for Germany, but I won't. Philadelphia goes to Cincinnati,
Cincinnati's giving them two and a half. Are you insane?
Cincinnati's on the rise. And Philly hasn't looked like Philly yet other than Blake the Giants.
Give me Philly plus the two and a half, bro. I kind of, I kind of feel like I'm taking
Cincinnati. They look like the better team right now. The other team in Ohio,
Baltimore goes to Cleveland 37 and a half. Or do you score in a half,
you're overunder? Baltimore's minus eight and a half. It ain't enough. Eight is not enough. See,
that's about 70's. It's a common reference. You're welcome, America. Let me also clarify why
Cleveland has been my team to bet against lately. Other than the one game that they somehow won,
they have been beaten by double digits in every game.
Tennessee goes to Ford Field. You want to, you want to guess the line on this?
Tennessee, who just traded their number one receiver or pseudo number one receiver.
Going to Detroit. I'm going to say 10 and a half. Add one. 11 and a half. Detroit is giving them
11 and a half and it ain't going to be enough. See, my gut reaction is to take Detroit just
because there's such a better team. But this is one of those spreads that scares me because it's
like it's so clearly Detroit. Yeah, and they might be playing their backups and heading hooker by
the third quarter and you wind up with a Tennessee back door cover against the third string.
I honestly don't see MCDC doing that unless they're up 30 because, no, I get you, but that's what I'm
saying. So they may be up 30 and then give up a couple of touchdowns.
Like MCDC would do that. And if they scored, he'd put everybody right back in because he's MCDC.
That's also fair. Arizona goes to Joe Robby, the return of to a tongue of Iloa, who I am,
not starting in fantasy this week. I mean, I confirmed yet.
Okay, I'm going to practice. I'm going to practice and he is going to play is what I had heard earlier.
Okay, so what what the official reporting right now has been, he is at practice with a
ants to play and he doesn't want to confirm to yet. Doesn't want to wear the Guardian cap in
that concerns. Kid, just wear the damn cap. I agree. 100%. But they're giving Arizona four and a half.
Well, I think that's put in too much stock into a, especially since Arizona has actually looked
a lot better on defense than I was expecting them to do. They are coming together. John Ganon
is doing work with that squad. But are we still in the new and set?
Yes, because this is that classic West Coast team goes to East Coast playing in the early set.
That's got to play some wrinkle into it. And I'm going to wait before.
But I think Miami is going to be a little bit rusty getting things back after, you know, a month plus of
calling it mediocrity might be giving it too much credit.
So I think Arizona keeps it close. I think Miami still wins, but I think Arizona keeps it close enough to
cover. Jets go to Gillette Stadium in the battle for the basement. Jets are giving New England seven.
We have lived to see this day. And all I can think is who does, who does Aaron Rogers blame or take
credit from when they win by three? I mean, I would take New York minus the seven, but it'll
win. It might push. Honestly, I'm leaning New England on this one, but that's because Drake
May has looked way better than I expected him to. We're not hearing anything about it because they're
losing. But I want to say that the the factoid that came out was that Drake May is the first rookie
to start or to have every one of his first five starts, be over 200 yards and two passing touchdown.
Something like that. Okay. Atlanta goes to Raymond James Stadium.
Atlanta's giving them two and a half.
I am tempted to take Atlanta because Tampa Bay has had some key injuries.
And this is a difficult game and it's not that far away. I feel bad about that one with Godwin
being out for the year and extensive and Evans looking like he's going to miss over a month.
This is the the other hard part you have with this one is if Tampa who has looked good
even against the the Ravens even though that game wasn't as close as it should have been.
The problem you have here is this is one of those look ahead games. The box after Atlanta,
which like you said, divisional game, then they have the chiefs, then they have the Niners.
This is going to be a rough stretch and I feel like it actually is going to work the other way here.
Because I'm with you. I'm kind of leaning on Atlanta, but Tampa Bay even losing Godwin and Evans.
Yes, Sterling Shepherd, Jalen McMillan, Tray Palmer. They are not going to fully replace them,
but they are good players. And I feel like Tampa Bay might take on Baker Mayfield's
gutsiness and come out swinging at home as underdogs and knowing that they got to get this one
because the next two weeks are gonna be rough. So give me Tampa. Green Bay goes to TIA,
stadium. Green Bay's giving them four. Jackson, they'll have not been great. They'll cover that
and then some. I don't know. Are you saying green Bay will cover it in the green? Yeah, green,
but I give me green. Okay, four. Okay, yeah, it's not clear what you meant because I genuinely
thought you might have been that Jacksonville, it like those lines are backwards or something,
but no, I agree with you. Green Bay is looking like a contender. Houston, Houston, Houston,
hosts the cults. Houston's giving them five. I don't think it's enough. I don't either.
Because I saw it. Somebody finally described Anthony Richardson in the perfect way and I can't
stop giggling at it. Anthony Richardson is the Daniel Jones of Cam Newton's. I saw that earlier
today myself. I just died. I almost peed myself laughing when I saw that. It's the perfect
description because he is a beast as a runner, but the only thing he can do is chuck a ball further
than anybody else on the planet, but don't bet on accuracy. We have five games in the late set this week.
Thank you. Starting with the New Orleans Saints going to so-fi stadium
because it's time for the chargers to charger, but they're giving New Orleans a touchdown.
Give me New Orleans plus seven. I'm just, I'm about that point.
See, my problem is this is a super volatile game because I'm actually taking the chargers
unless Derek Carg is cleared. I don't care about anyone else, but Derek Carg makes that offense go
better than it does. New Orleans looks like world beaters for two weeks and have done nothing
sense, but after I remember, at least three of those weeks was with Spencer Rattler and with all
due respect, Zimmerman, you don't look right about that boy. And they just gave Alvin Camaro the
bag. You kind of have to. He's your only guy. Yeah. No, I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm just saying
it's a bad news. But seeing the highlights of this is why you pay Camaro even at the
advanced age was really cool. Did you see the Alvin Camaro so good? He doesn't even have to try
montage. No. So it's a lot of then some of them are with Drew Breeze, most of them really.
Some of them are with Derek Carg, even with Jason Hill throwing, but it's like dump offs to Alvin
Camaro where he makes one super athletic move to make a guy miss. And then it's him just like
jogging down the sidelines while he lets his offensive line catch up and get in front of him.
And then boom, he makes a cut and he's gone. It's like Alvin Camaro is so much smarter of a football
player than he gets credit for. It's not only easy. Now he's smart. I want to say I had him on
fantasy a couple of years ago. So I have him in all but one league this year. Buffalo goes to Seattle
and is giving the Seahawks three. I think Seattle starting to turn the corner.
I don't I don't know that I trust this. I would say give me Seattle plus the three.
See this one this one worries me just because of injury concerns. I want to take
Buffalo complete gut reaction. Amari Cooper fit into that system better than I expected that quickly.
Even though Amari Cooper has been great everywhere he's gone even in Cleveland when he had
competent quarterback play. The big concern I have with this one is Seattle being down
lineman. DK Metcalf may not be playing. I'm gonna stick to Buffalo because I don't expect Seattle
to be healthy enough to cover the three. Carolina goes to the mile high city.
They're getting 10. It ain't enough. I apologize. Could you repeat that? I just watched
I can't take a nose diet. Denver hosting Carolina and giving him 10. 10. 10.
That's a big number for a team whose offense isn't good. But their defense is really good.
All I just realized something and you've also got Andy Dalton not starting.
Where that is family or okay. There was a motorcycle, a motor vehicle accident that handled his thumb.
But this is what I was like that you went a very different direction that I was anticipating.
This game opened at either six and a half or seven and a half. The switch to price young has
everybody throwing every dollar they have at Denver. So I almost feel bad about the 10 because
price young's not good. KC goes to a place that we know. Where?
I could say that because I was there and there was a wind and it was during autumn and it was
very pleasant. KC's given him 9.5. It ain't enough. This ain't the week.
This ain't the week. They pop the champagne in my area. It's not just like, you know what?
This is the exact kind of game that it would be though. This is the exact kind of game
where Patrick Mahomes terrible play this season comes back to bite them because it's a stretch
where they're like, oh, we can kind of take our foot off the gas because we're playing the
raiders and then we're getting the chargers at home. Then we're playing Cleveland and we get used in
it home and it's just going to be, oh, I apologize. I'm looking at the wrong raiders match up.
So they get to bucks next week and then the chiefs. So they are going to have two games back to
back against decent teams and then they get the bills. Okay. So this is one of those look at
games. What's this spread again? KC minus 9.5. You want my crazy thing? You can take Vegas?
I think I'm going to take this is one of the moment it hits double digits. I take Vegas because
I think more of Gardner mentioned you. I think Kansas City might take your foot off the gas
and this is going to be a backdoor cover. So yeah, give me, give me, give me Vegas.
And shout out to Gordon Ramsay's fish and chips. Shout out to Gordon Ramsay's every restaurant.
It's that we do what he's doing. We ate there. Yeah. I've eaten it a few different ones in Vegas.
It's a pretty regular thing because when you start off going, I know he talks about beef
Wellington. I know that's what he knows for and then you go to his restaurant and eat the beef
Wellington. It is as somebody might say a religious experience. I'm here for it. So it is delightful.
And shout out to the brunch buffet at the MGM grant and the dinner buffet at the rampart. There you go.
Apparently the only non-strict casino that still has a buffet apparently. So I'm here.
Let's see. Okay, so let's talk about this. Chicago going to Washington, Chicago is giving them three.
I'm just going to lay out and let you say the other thing. So Ocho Sinko Predicto.
So he said or's Ocho Predicto. I think it's what it is. He's there. They get to this game.
And it wasn't the right music. But music hits an outlock Seth Rollins, who was from Iowa.
So in Iowa, you're either a chiefs fan or your bear's fan. Because those are the directions. Correct.
He comes out and says, Chicago wins 80 to nothing.
I said, God bless you Seth Rollins. Have you seen his bit that has been a thing for longer than he's been with the company?
I saw what he did at the game where he jumped the thing in the security escort in the back of it.
Well, he got thrown over the railing at that one. It was as scripted throwing over the railing,
but he was thrown over the railing and ejected. But no, you can always tell what happens with
the bear's game by watching Seth Rollins' social media will call it because it's not just
ex-formally Twitter. Because if the bear's win, he only tweets, I love football. If the bear's
lose, he only tweets, I hate football. Love that man. I love that man. It's just, it's
priceless every time. Sunday night, we never went to the picks on that, though.
Oh, I said Chicago's giving him three. I don't know how I feel about that because
football clubs kind of on a roll. You know what, I was surprised at how efficient
Mario to look. I would still take Chicago just because that defense is really good. And that
offense is starting to click as well. Plus, I believe they're coming off of a buy. So they
have the extra prep time. Give me, give me football club. Give me, give me the bears. Sunday night
football, a classic rivalry. As the Dallas Cowboys go to Levi Stadium. San Francisco is giving
four. Not anymore. Because those that think that this is going to be a thing,
I'm going to tell you that this is not going to be close. San Francisco is going to have a
get-right game and they are going to woodshed the Cowboys. And I am not alone in that thought
process because I will not name names, but I do know of somebody who dropped a six-figure bet
on the line. You're told that thought. Drop a six-figure bet on the Niners in Vegas
yesterday. And that line went to five and a half instantly. Good mercy.
Monday night football. The Giants go to unsure stadium.
Pittsburgh's giving you six. It's not enough. Pittsburgh, after the initial
rust from rust early on, he looked exactly like the guy we thought he would be because
I mean, even it being said on air, the moon ball, long ball that Russell Wilson throws,
works perfectly with a guy who can win jump balls. And what you had was in Seattle, that was
DK Metcap. In Denver, it didn't happen because while Portland Sutton is a big guy,
he was not winning the 50-50 balls, but George Pickens does. So I like that. And the number one
corner for the Giants, the on-tay banks, I really hope starts looking better because if you have
looked into his pro football focus scoring, which is another group that analyzes everything,
there have been 81 cornerbacks who have taken multiple wide receiver one snaps. He is ranked
80 and it's not particularly close to him not being bad. So it might be a career day for George Pickens.
It might be a career day for Russell Wilson. And a Giants, the Giants are bad. And Daniel Jones got
benched and it didn't look better or worse. It looked the same. Vote of confidence for the owner
for the coach and the GM for this year and next year. I almost had something that rhymes with
Duck. I'm just saying. I almost said something that rhymes with Duck. And this talk about people
being like, oh, the Giants are just a quarterback away. We should trade for Stafford.
Please, please give me add, give me directions to this fantasy land you live in.
Don't get a wrong. We need a quarterback more than anything else. But it ain't just that.
And it's going to be the Steelers. It's the Steelers by double digits.
All right. Let's get into television talk and stuff we watch this week. Television edition.
I have watched the first episode I'm on episode behind of Trivial Pursuit with Love Our Burton.
Nice. How do you like it? It's very simple. But is that a bad thing?
I need to give it a couple more episodes because there's just not much to the game itself.
Which is kind of an issue for me. May I give you a weird comparison just to kind of get E talked
maybe eight to ten months ago about the brilliance simplicity of the game shows a floor.
Now, is it a simplicity like that? Or is it more like they took this game you love and
dumbed it down as simple as possible? More the latter because I like I wasn't intrigued by the
floor that went up a sort of watch. And then with Trivial Pursuit, they actually played two games.
I don't know if I don't run to get a shot at 20 grand. Nice. I don't.
Adult swim news. Rick and more. I'm sorry. Did you have anything you want to talk about for this week?
I wanted to give you your flowers on air. For what? How or have I got news for you? You have been
championing. You have been the champion for this show. And I started watching it this week.
And Sir, you have, I'd say you hit it on the money, but this is a brings truck level hit.
It is brilliant and you did not oversell it. An episode five is some of the funniest.
I almost said something that rhymes with spit. The funniest stuff I have seen on TV in a long time
and yes, I'm including Shorsey and Lettercanny. Shoutout Amber Ruffin, Michael Ian Black,
Roy Wood Jr. Absolutely. Shoutout to the 1980s Ninja Turtle Promotions team.
And shoutout, Ninja Delta. Ask me again why I think Roy Wood Jr. should have gotten the daily
show job. I don't have to ask. I know now. Needed for your approval. Adult swim has renewed
Rick and more to for two more seasons. So you got that going for you. Apple TV yesterday announced
Go ahead. Just to clarify, I believe they still have three more seasons on the current deal.
They have added two more. Okay. So if I'm more seasons of Rick and Morty,
yeah, maybe announce yesterday that season two of Severance will kick off on January 17.
I need to see this. I do too, but I thought they had done season two. I thought we were going to see
them three. So I forgot it. Apple does not do a great job advertising. They rely entirely on
word of mouth, which is how you get Ted Lasso being a surprise. And then shrinking a surprise,
it's slow horses surprise. It's like they're marketing teams sucks. Or then it's not
no budget. Even AEW is like we have to change the way we do. CBS has already renewed their
Matwalk reboot for season two. Okay. And season two of Ellsbeth, which is a new series.
They haven't. They've announced a couple of their guest stars for season two, Laurie Metcalf and Eric McCormack.
It'll be honest. That's solid wins. Yeah. And flick fullet is now not the name.
It is now Chick fullet play. I don't care about any of that. They have announced their first
original series. We'll be called Legends of Evergreen Hills. Started Kirk Cameron. It's an animated series.
Where Sam and her friends are the protectors of quote kindness sparks. Unquote.
So you got that going for you. Man Disney plus announces that Daredevil board again will kick off on
March 4th. I'm so mad at having to wait longer for that. I am please get me
to there. Please get me to there because I cannot wait. NBC and Peacock announcing that you'll be
able to stream twisters on November 15th. Very much enjoyed that film. Netflix has renewed
Virgin River for season seven. Very popular for them. Never watched an episode.
Prime video this week announcing that Mike Flanagan, who is very big as a horror director, is
developing carry as a series for them. Interesting. It's been made into a musical.
Yeah. But I can see how it would play as a TV series as well. Let me let me
rephrase. I don't know about a TV series as much as a mini series. Probably going to be a limited.
I'm sure. Yeah. Oh, they have renewed the legend of Vox Machina for season four.
Very popular. I know a number of people that love that. And they are doing a limited series
as a remake of Cruel Intensions that will start November 21st. I don't know how that's going to
play though. That is one of the best musicals I've ever seen. You deaths that for many, maybe new
in your town ever has the Cruel Intensions musical just go because it's a Duke Buck musical.
It's all 90s music and it's fantastic. It's all of the era of the movie release.
It's the whole decade. But what I'm saying is it wasn't the movie in the 90s or at the
tail end. Yes. Okay. Which is also just it's a actual American version of interest liaison.
That is true. TNT has announced that they're going to have they had the first episode this week.
But starting next week, Thursdays at seven Easter and they're going to have a sports magazine show
called Above the Fold that is hosted by Jamal Hill. So she makes her with her in the television.
I thought she was great in around the horn. I very much enjoyed her. Never enjoyed her.
The only TV on TV on Blue Ray this week is the classic complete series a man called Shenandoah.
Yes. Yes. But we are both aware of it. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And now let's go
to stuff we watch this week. Movie industry. The only movie I saw, we're going to talk about new releases.
And I have been TV intensive. I have been recapping what we do in the shadows leading into the
final season. So I have not seen any movies. We've only got a couple of announcements this week.
We have we talked a couple of weeks ago about Glenn Powell being in the remake of the running man.
Josh Brolin is going to be the bad guy. I don't know. I don't know how I feel about that.
Now, when you say he's going to be the bad guy, are you referring to the Richard Dawson bad guy or
you referring to the ingest event sure? It just as he will be the villains. So I'm assuming it's the
game show host. Have you seen the movie that he has out that just came out recently? Now on Prime
video, I have not. Okay. I'm going to give you the Google and I want your honest reaction to this.
I need you to look up the movie brothers. And it has and I'm I'm trying to not spoil anything.
But the fact that this movie came out with so little discussion is blowing my mind because the
cast is absolutely stellar. I've actually I have the trailer for this. Yes, it looks so ridiculous.
But I need to see this movie. And Disney is doing a Prince Charming movie and there are conflicting
reports of either in talks or has accepted is one Chris Hemsworth. That's not surprising.
My hope is that they take the same avenue that with this that they took with enchanted.
Okay. Yeah. But the movie releases venom the last dance that they're protecting a six.
I can't even say it in the laugh. 65 million is your expectation. Lower your expectation.
As we discussed on the phone. First one, I very much enjoyed the second one. Very much disappointed.
I have no concept of what to do with this one. However, even though it is called the last
dance, there is now rumblings that it will not be the last appearance for venom. But it may be the last
venom solo movie. The first one. The second one. Will I see the third one? And probably.
Probably. But it ain't making 65 million this weekend. No, I have a question for you.
That is no longer spoiler because it's been confirmed. The character of null.
How familiar are you? Not very. Okay. Then I have no follow up. I was going to say I don't know anything
but it looks just with the images we've had. It looks an awful lot like Henry Cavalry is the witcher of
Gerald. Movie called your monster this week with Melissa Burrera. After her life falls.
Art. I'm sorry. I love her. Okay. After her life falls apart. Soft spoken actress Laura Franco finds
her voice again when she meets a terrifying yet wildly charming monster living in her closet.
A romantic comedy horror film about falling in love with your inner rage.
She seems to be a beauty. He seems to be a beast. Moving on. We also have Death Whisperer 2. This is a
foreign film because there are apparently a lot of unanswered questions from Death Whisperer.
I'm sorry. Did you realize who's playing the monster in this? I didn't recognize the name.
So I did not recognize it either and I started looking at it. Tommy, do we? We have just recently
seen in Saturday night. Ah. Very nice. And he was playing is it O'Donahue?
Michael O'Donahue. Yes. That was a brilliant performance he was dead on. That's who's playing
the monster in that. Death Whisperer 2 in a world shrouded by darkness a relentless force
seeks retribution undeterred by boundaries or morality.
There's a lot going on in nothing clear. We also have, I believe this is a documentary.
Yeah, this is a documentary called a new kind of wilderness. In the Norwegian wilderness,
a family seeks a wild free existence with a tragic turn of events, shatters their isolation,
compelling them to adapt to the demands of contemporary society. This may not be a documentary.
It may just be a narrative. But there's no cast listening. Well, there is a writer, so it is a narrative.
We also have magpie this week. Daisy Ridley is in this. A couple find their lives turned upside down
when their daughter is cast alongside a controversial major star. Sir. Yeah, we have a big
Cooper Cup update. Push down Cooper Cup. Let's go. Nice. Also this week. A movie I have seen.
My review for it currently is up at www.theclubhousepodcast.com. That's our website.
It is called Conclave. It looks amazing. Oh my god, dude.
I can't, I haven't had a chance to talk to you about this. No. You have said exactly one sentence
and I'm not going to steal that from you. When I was walking into the theater Tuesday night,
cat came with me and they had one of those big stand up cardboard things that were they take
on a review and they put the review on the thing. Underneath it was a quote from Collider.
And that quote was one of the best films of the year. And I was like, let's tap the break.
Yeah. I mean, I'm a fan of a lot of people involved in this thing because you have got a
little lighter says that like every third week they look at. You've got rave finds. You've got John
Lythgal. You got the dude. And you got Isabella. I'm sorry. Another big win.
And this is if you know what Conclave is, that's exactly what this is. The Pope passes away
and what Conclave is is they bring in a bunch all the cardinals that they can. No more than 120.
I think is the cap. It's I believe it's the full college of cardinals, but you have to be the
official members. Right. And and rave finds plays the dean. That's literally as title.
Not I'm not being fissured. And so they take a vote for who the new pope is going to be. But if they
don't, if one person does not get two thirds of the votes, they burn the votes and they start over
and they show they black smoke out from the Vatican if they don't have a pope and then a white
if they do. That's all I can say about this film. It's based on a book from 2017.
I even said in my review like, even if I tried to describe this, it almost spoils things.
If I tried to compare it to a genre or a writer or a director, it would give you spoilers.
Now, if you want them, I'll tell you off air. Well, I was I was going to ask a question. I've been
thinking of this because you told me about what a mind field this is. So I've been specifically
trying to figure this out. Would you put conclave in its own category or does it feel like something
that goes along with like the Da Vinci code or angels and demons? I can't answer that question
because if I do, I just you have to go in as cold as humanly possible and you'll understand
when you see it. You'll understand when you see it. This movie is brilliant on every level.
The score is minimalist and this is the guy that directed the Netflix all quiet on the western
front. Oh, okay. And the guy that did the score did the score for that, too. He also did the score
for another one of my favorite movies from a few years back, Lion. This movie is brilliant.
Was that the Jeff Betel Lion? Yes. Yes. A great movie. To the point where multiple times
during this film, both Kat and I had emotional reactions on multiple levels. It is an hour
fifty. That's a good time frame. That is a solid. It's shot gorgeously. This is the second
week in a row that I have said of a film that it could be Oscar bait, but it isn't. It's so
naturally will fit into the award category. It doesn't feel like anybody's fishing for awards
in this film as well as we live in time. Both of these films are wonderful. Do not be surprised
if at least one of these two winds up on my top 10 list by the end of the year. I'm sorry,
one of these two. This one and we live in time and yeah, I have not heard you glow about a movie
like you have about con clay in a little while. Like you and I had a lot of fun with Deadpool
and Wolverine. This one feels more critic and enjoyment. I was I was blown away
on every lap. Nice. Movies on DVD and Blu-ray this week. The thicket. This is the
western that was done by Peter Dinklage that James Hadfield was in. Okay. DD which showed at the
Asian film festival this year. This is a coming of age story. Long legs. It's the steel book
treatment this week. By the way, long legs is going to be shown on 35 millimeter at the Texas
theater this weekend too as well as their new as well as the Neon's new film adore a Nora
that's getting another release. I believe one of these timelines pretty woman. It's hitting
prime video soon as well. Okay. The collector's edition of the horror classic from 1990 shocker
about a serial killer that's killed in the electric chair and comes back. Yes. There's a limited
collector's edition of World War Z. Very interesting if you look at bullets and block
busters a couple of weeks ago. They did a video on what that film was supposed to be as well as
the plans for the sequel. I still think that there's a chance that they come back to this for a sequel
at some point. You mentioned what we do in the shadows earlier. The movie is getting a 10th anniversary
special edition. I don't know. It correct me if I'm wrong. I can only think of two examples.
MASH and what we do in the shadows where the TV show might genuinely be better than the movie.
I would agree on MASH. I've only watched one episode of what we do in the shadows, which I enjoyed.
Right. But what I'm saying is, can you think of any others that wound up going from movie to TV
where the TV show even met the movie, let alone exceeded it? Not off the top of my head.
Because it's such a strange niche where the TV show always seems to come up short. But these two
those, oh, I'm going to be sad when what we do in the shadows ends.
Let's see here. We have the 20th anniversary edition of Sean of the Dead, which they actually
did release in theaters. A 25th anniversary collector's edition of American Pie.
And Arrow video does a limited edition of the original trick our treat. I heard about this.
No. You got that going for you. And now this.
In this time for the cheap pop cast, you're one stop shop for the world of professional wrestling.
Down for glory is this Saturday. And if you are not a subscriber to TNA plus, you can get it for the
rest of the year with bound for glory for $35. I am actually booked on Saturday night. So I will just
read the, and they make me pay for it because I'm already a subscriber. Yeah. So speaking of TNA,
Christy Hemie is back with them now. She's now their head of marketing. I saw that. I was very intrigued
by that concept, especially since she has always been very fashion forward, interest,
merchandise and different aspects in multiple companies and areas that she has worked with. So this is an
interesting poll. Rumors of survivor series of actually let's go back a little bit. I got lost. I
apologize. From TNA, Jvedal has been granted his release. Okay. And I've been saving this since last week.
Who edits reality of wrestling? Sir, I think you're making a huge assumption about them
actually editing versus throwing a slap together. They literally hard cut in an out of commercials.
There's no transition. Last weeks, not this, this rose recent episode, but the one before it,
the intro happened twice. Is this how we find out that bookers dealer is doing this?
Oh, and did you see what the latest, their latest big show was called? No.
Call for us. Yeah. God bless you all, Michael's career took about 4,121 trips,
3,672 stakes ordered zero veggies consumed. Lowest total on the 139 crew. That's the best
of that man. Oh, yeah. I'm still watching because there's some good talented people on that thing.
Very true. I mean, and Booker did come out and say that his next big goal is getting Zilla to
WWE quickly. So WWE, as we heard earlier this week, I don't like we need to spend too much
time on it, but Samantha Irvin is officially no longer with the company. She is pursuing a music career.
She is very talented. Yes. He loves being her pictures from singing the National Anthem at her
first NFL game ever, at where was the stadium? If you're doing the rumors now, I heard earlier
today that Survivor Series could start at 530 Eastern. It is being advertised in Vancouver as
two 30 local time. Interesting. And I haven't noticed about it coming up later. Did you see the
pictures of Isla Dawn from the Venanda last dance premiere? That was debunked. That's not her.
That's not. It looks just like her. It does look very similar to her, but that is a
cosplayer named Gloria. Who that dress was amazing. That was very cool. That saw it like three
different places. I'm like, okay. And she even came out herself and said, sorry guys, I wish this
was me in the dress, but it's not. All right. Shout out to Gloria then because that was cool.
Smack now on this past week. Is this the right brand for Motor City Machine Guns?
I feel that that had divisions kind of crowded. Well, I think what we're going to have in that
circumstance is you're going to have Smackdown become the more wrestling intensive brand. So I
feel like this is a precursor of things to come where you have and I need you to hold on to yourself.
Because you and I are both excited about this concept. Motor City Machine Guns versus DIY.
Motor City Machine Guns back again against Gorilla's a destiny. And I feel like team such as
not necessarily pretty deadly, but like street profits are going to wind up moving to raw,
becoming a bit edgy or with their already telling the dark turn, basically. Could you please stop
chewing my foot? But I think what you're going to wind up having is a lot of these. Let's say
smaller, agile, technical teams being the earmark of the Smackdown brand. Because you're looking at
it with like Cody being a wrestler's wrestler as champion. You're looking at your US title being
LA night, who I believe is going to wind up on raw, not long after the Netflix deal just because
him working in the gray has always been its best version. And I will never not laugh at the idea
every time I hear somebody talk about shoes or jackets every time. And I thank you for pointing
that out to me again. But at that same time, you have the people that are going to know how to work.
Let's say with a color, I think they're going to wind up going more towards raw where you're going
to have more wrestling intensive on Smackdown, which is why I think the bloodline is another,
I think we're going to have a huge talent shift when Netflix comes around, but I think that's just
going to be more, we need more people on raw if there's not going to be really full commercial
breaks and things of its ilk. So I think motorcytomy machine guns on Smackdown for that reason
is the right call. Speaking of LA night, when he said, you'll get Smack back to factory settings
that made me giggle. Oh, that was a great line. The lines that, and I'm going to say it in this way,
the lines that Sean Ricker comes up with are, yeah, it's chef's kiss. Had a thought of how
we bring Heyman back. Go on. 2.0 keeps beating down OG. Keep speeding them down. Keep
speeding them down. They foolishly accept the invitation of 2.0 for war games. Heyman comes back with
OGs because he is the mastermind of war games. That's how you bring them back. Okay. See,
I was thinking that he would become the mediator. May I speed run the booking for the rest of this?
Go. You have OG bloodline versus rogue bloodline. I kind of dig them using that name because
it's so close to Rouge. No, but you have that where rogue bloodline winds up losing after the
already fantasy booking that we have done with you returning J possibly Sammy involvement. Then you
have it come out where the rock picks out solo. Heyman comes back when they're saying when
solo is trying to get back in the good graces of Roman and Paul is the mediator to bring the full
bloodline back together to face off against the my via bloodline who has returned with the line
of we don't need that little brother anymore because I have a bigger one with me. That's how you
bring in Hickaleo. Okay. And that's how you balance the size. On Raw Monday night that's tsunami
on the announced table is one of the best table breaks I have ever seen in my entire life. I don't
know how they rigged it but that was awesome. As much as I keep saying I hate basic splashes from
guys like the Usos. Whenever somebody like Bronson Reed does it I just stop complaining because it
looks like you're dying underneath the floor and that near side panel just going flying. I was like
that was awesome. I rewound it. The mental image I had was like the playing card that you're squeezing
Lilian. We have Lilian. Yes. We have been confirmed. Yes. She is back and as much as I hate to
see Samantha Irvin go because I love her. I love Lilian so I'm good. That is a that is an even exchange
and I'm happy. You know what? I am sad to see Samantha Irvin go. Even though I am one of the people
who initially was like I don't get it. You know what? I was not right. I didn't say she was bad
but I didn't get it. I get it now. That is going to be a big loss and I loved Lilian Garcia
and I'm sure she's going to do a phenomenal job but I almost worry if this is going to be one of
those things where it's like you can't really recapture the magic kind of thing. She stumbled a
little bit in her first one but she's just got to get a group back. She'll be fine. Oh you let
she'll be fine. Well that's two things. That means two things. You know I don't like the word
fine either. But again that means two things. I loved the angle on that dragon lead dive
because it may instead of them looking like they're going to catch him it looks like he went through
both of them one behind the other and you know I don't really like that spot but I thought it
well this is one of those ones like we have talked about what's the big difference between
WWE and AEW right now because both companies have talent. Both companies are telling stories
but there's something about that production value and when age brought in people who know
camera angles who know cinema will call it and how to shoot different things and different angles
that's what makes AEW look worse now because WWE is doing new and exciting things and they're
doing them amazingly. And I'm still getting used to the whole executive producer thing at the end
of the show. I'm okay with it but the font that they use makes me giggle a little bit like wait was
that's a sitcom. Yeah I want to say something else about word games. Okay I want to second men's
war games match. Okay why it's final testament. Let's oh I thought we might have been setting that up
but here's my other problem with that. I don't know that we're setting up another war games with
them. I think we're setting up a traditional survivor series match with them. I want them in the cage.
I understand you want them in the cage but that might be something to build towards later
or maybe hell in the cell. Do I do a four on four hell in the cell which you've never done before?
Or an extremist rules hell in the cell? Hand new intercontinental champion. Moving on.
That's what I believe I was told that I was wrong that this was happening.
If I'm going to give flowers I want some in return. I'll take the L. I did I do that. I was disappointed.
But I still maintain the one thing I took out of that. I can't wait to see Braunbreaker and Jacob
thought to. Yeah the havoc is this Sunday night. You and I will need to talk about that off air
and Delta is now Zarya and to our friends in Orlando we apologize that you did not see it
because apparently that C W feed cut because they ran like a minute over and it cut right at the top of the
hour and people at the company are not happy about it. Oh I can understand that but we talked about that
with C W and having that art gap because of the news. Yeah. A W news shout out to Tony niece. He and his wife
have welcomed twin boys into the world, Bryce and Benjamin. Congratulations.
Dynamite you know it's been a minute since I heard a wrap it up champ. You know I think that was
the first real one I had but did you notice the little subtle real thing that happened after that?
I just let your turn around did the I have the microphone and he's paid for as much TV times
I want which was very old school heel and I loved it and then Don Callis having to give him the
credit of patting him on the back and going that was great kid and new ring of honor champion moving on.
I have a terrible question and I know I'm putting it into the ethos and I apologize. Are we going
to wind up pushing Jericho to win about lose about win about lose about until he can get to 17
before Sina because what are we doing? I just because there was a lot of it. There's exactly
one way to make this succeed and the problem is is we're going in different directions with it
because the best person to work with Jericho of recent ilk in this situation was hook
and if we're going to get to the point where it's hook challenging him for the ROH title instead of hook
continuing to go after the AEW title and making hook the face of ROH and doing a whole new reset
with the young talent. I can get behind that so I am speaking that into existence if anybody's listening
and we know you are. Go ahead. Yeah and keep keep saving in a way from this thing like that bit of
would you like to talk about what you texted me last night? Oh, you know, caps.
Spoiler alert. It's been 24. Yeah, so at that same time it's something very special to those of
us that have friends in the industry for those of us who have met people who had a dream and
distinctly remembering talking with sunny golden and Kevin Koa getting on the cruise, getting off
the Jericho cruise when Robin I went and I remember Kevin saying I'm currently training. I'm
trying to get in at Hammerstone's gym and I'm just working really hard and I just told him like
dude, you have a look. Go for it. I don't take any credit whatsoever. That man has been busting
his butt and he was on dynamite in Salt Lake City. One of our boys got on TV again.
But before you say the next part, okay, you should just read the text as they came about
60 seconds apart. Do you want me to go through the full deal or do you want to reenact our exchange?
Just read the exchange. Okay, so I'm going to move the photo away because all caps was
our duties on dynamite. You ask which one? No, I just read the free market marks. I was not
trying to make you sound like that. For me, I was like, Koa isn't a match in Utah, obviously referencing
dynamite. You came back with that is outstanding and immediately after my I went, oh, put a pin in it.
Because and he apparently got well received backstage, but our guy Koa took the black mess and
was immediately a cold. And you know what, he stuck to it. I am proud of him and the exact message
and I'm going to clarify because I did not, I could not let dynamite end. I was too excited.
I just had to say, hey, I'm so proud of you for getting on dynamite brother. It's another step
up for you. Maybe just replied, thank you. I appreciate you guys. So, you know, keep working hard at
whatever you want to do. A couple of ring of honor notes from last week. Nick Wayne was in a
single match and the lower third just said Nick Wayne with his mother. I'm like, she has a name.
Yeah, but remember, they're plugging her as mother Wayne or at least put that on the screen.
That does no justice for either one of them. But at the same time, isn't that kind of the bit we're
doing right now is here's Christian and the other one. And commander is now your new number one
contender for the TV title. Don't care. So we're going to beat him to Brian Cage. Well, we're
going to see him get thrown around at least. Also, anything else you want to talk about this week.
So there was one thing that came up on social media that had me cackling. I don't know why
I found it so funny. And I believe I sent it to you. Did you see the even page wrap video for Halloween?
I have seen that. God bless you Ethan page. I like it. I enjoyed it. You can pages living his best life right
now. You know what that dude has been so underappreciated for so long. I'm so happy to see him getting
his flowers. And he's one of the best heels on television right now. Oh, absolutely. He can do no
wrong in my book. And that, you know, I hate that Booker T gets so into it because I love that
theme music too. Yeah, he's doing a great job on every doubt out Ethan page. Yep. Can't say the
other thing he likes us to say after that because we don't say certain words. That's correct.
Anything else? No, I think we're good to roll. All right, there's a QR code over there.
Clicking knowledge. All right. That was speaking of which. I was at the, I was at table one at the
wedding, so I said, if not, just you know, you should have said we the ones.
Somebody did put a put a put a put a put a give up for me, which was nice.
But click the QR code, find out all about our stuff. Remember, be a page around right here at
sunset lounge. We're so glad. I've talked to a handful of people this week that said we're already
in. We're loving all the shows because that five bucks a month. You get all the shows. That is true.
It should be in groups. You get beer at 30 clock with our friends. Absolutely fantastic.
There's a lot more shows coming and go check out the round tables that we did at Smoky Rose a couple
of weeks ago. I, I'm still real in of how much fun we had that night. It was a gorgeous night.
Everybody was fantastic. There's that we've got some stuff cooking that I'm extremely excited about.
But be, get on the ground floor to this thing, man. Yeah, just to clarify, it is
beer 30 sports a clock on everything. But yet, now good people all around. It was so much fun
pertence. Because our obligatory burnt ends every show now. But no, it's a lot of fun. We got a lot
of stuff. Irons in the fire, if you will, getting ready to do some branding.
Very excited about what it's been going. Yeah, shout out to Rachel. She took a picture in her hat.
Put on that. So it's just a lot of fun. Can't wait to see where we grow.
It's y'all get in because we got some stuff coming true. We're hitting the hill on the ride,
get ready for the dudes. And our, our social media is here on the screen for you as well. Don should
be back next week. He is it Boonu on X Twitter. He's going to have some stories to tell. I'm sure
because he's had a great detail. It's about how great the trip was over looking forward to hearing
from him. A lot of stuff happened in bro. Big things, pop little things dropping. Shout out MVP.
I'm so happy he's on my TV. I kind of want Ricochet to join that group. I think Kevin Shelton
mentioned would be awesome. I agree. But now we're getting all just to go back real quick. We're
getting now conflicting reports where their Bobby Lashley is signed or not. I heard a word. Now
if he's not. Remember it's AEW. We try to do the misinformation rather than the disinformation.
And full gear coming up in about four weeks keep your ears to the ground for that. We're trying
to put some things together for that as well. We're going to be back next week. I know it's Halloween,
but we're going to do a show because we do it for the kids. But then we wouldn't be.
That doesn't work in that reference, doesn't really. I'll take this one. But if you want something
fun to do on Saturday, we do have an early set for the UFC fights. Join our friends at pouring
takes at Maple Landing and Dash. There's going to be doing that so much along. It's going to be a
lot of fun. They're great people too. And I will be celebrating the birthday of friend of the show
Sean Danis on Saturday night. Nice. So I think Darrell said he's going to be there with his wife.
So I'm very excited about that as well. We'll see you next week, 80's during five
Pacific through the clubhouse podcast. You're one stop shop for all things sports entertainment
pop culture and pro wrestling. I got to go back and do the other thing here. I'm on. So until next time
for Alex for Don. Oh yeah, by T shirts.
It's over there. So somewhere next time for Alex for Don for the Empire. I'm Rob, clubhouse
is closed. Brittany Palmer getting that artwork ramped up. Check out her artwork. It's pretty dope.
