A Couple of HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS

It is eight o'clock on the east coast. It is five o'clock on the west coast. It is
the 28th of December in the year of our Lord, 2023. Talk about making it under the
wire. I can make French fries. I just acknowledge you stop this. Let's get
through the intro so we can get all the players involved. We told you guys
yesterday we would be on the air tonight with two count them two huge
announcements. Welcome. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the Clubhouse podcast.
And I am going to need to put on sweatpants tonight. I think it's a little chilly here in the
Metroplex today. That way from me is my co-host. And I still don't know what shirt he's wearing
so I can't comment on it. He is Alex. Well, we don't want to comment on it just yet. It will
be revealed soon enough. And at the bottom of your screen, we have a very special guest that's
part of this, our first announcement. We are so excited to have him with. He also kind of
is working as a spoiler just a little bit. Rich, how are you, brother?
Yeah, I guess I swore on my stuff there, but I just say, you know, it's 73 and sunny.
That ex-girl Frisco. Let's just dive right in to the first announcement. I got to share my
screen because I have visual aids because that's how I roll. Look at that snazzy thing right there.
And now it's been one of two has to deal with the royal rumble. It is coming up
January 27th at 7 p.m. Central, which you're probably sitting there and you're saying,
Rob, I already know that. If I'm a fan of professional wrestling, I have it circled on my
calendar. It's a major. Well, we know that. And it is my favorite major, so they know that.
But here's what you don't know. We're bringing back the watch party.
Many, many years ago, a little show called The Clubhouse with Rob and Cody started doing shows
before the pay-per-views at another place in another city. But now, get there early on the 27th
kids at the all brandy spanking new ex-girl Frisco will be hosting the royal rumble watch party
for the clubhouse podcast and the empire. This is huge. Rich and Alex and I met a couple of days
ago to get most of the logistics worked out. It's an amazing facility. If you've been to the one
in Rockwall, you ain't seen nothing yet. I would venture to say a public space comparison. Rich,
could you say safely or at about quadruple the size you were at Rockwall? It is more than double
the size and it's the largest indoor golfing simulator facility in the world. Look at that. Whoa.
In the world. Hold on. Do we have a mic drop gift on that? That is a no. I might like that game on
Plunge, so the battery starts. Why do we have this humongous space for this role of rumble? What I'm
super excited about. So we had a huge conversation. We were over there helping them test out everything
to make sure it worked and it actually made my golf game looks like some semblance of a golf game.
So what we love like and I've said this to anybody that will listen. X golf is
light years past every other kind of indoor golf you can do. You can play just about any course
on the planet. We played a little bit of Pebble Beach and a par three. You know, I still hung
almost a hundred, but had an absolutely fantastic time for those of you that are like, Rob,
I don't play golf. That's okay. We have our own area set up right across from two of their
golf bays and we're going to talk about all of that here just a minute. But you got to see the
first thing, Rob, where is it? That's okay. I have a slide that explains it. 5977 Preston Road,
retail building one. There's your map just north of Lebanon on the west side of Preston. So if
you're going up Preston and you're passing them all, you're only going to go, but maybe a mile
and a half farther than the mall, would you say Alex? About that. I think Rich might be able to
speak better to it. Yeah, when you're going north, as soon as you pass fooders, we're on the left
in like one more mile. And it's a great area. Brand new plaza over there. Get there, you'll
get there early. Go to the philosophy factory for breakfast. Ain't nothing wrong with that because
Alex and I are both big fans of that place too. You can't miss it. Once you see it from the road,
it's literally on the corner of the entire plaza. It is higher corner on either side.
And as soon as you see the sign, it is like a beacon, a moth to a flame that draw me, drew me in
every time I see it. There's going to be golf involved. Like let's say you maybe need to stretch
yourself a little bit. You all you have to do basically is turn around. And there's the golf
base right there and they're huge. You could get, you could easily put five or six people per bay.
And just, you know, I just, you want to see what's going on the rumble? You turn around.
It's your turn. You turn around. It's that simple. It's a gorgeous area.
Now we're going to have the rumble on 18 big screen TVs. So you're going to be surrounded by
the rumble on 18 screen TVs. We got seating for, I don't know, we hold like 214 people for our
capacity. We've got a 33 foot bar with 12 beers on tap, wings, french fries, anything,
your name. And we got tons of stuff going on. There's no well drinks. I mean, this is a,
it's a really nice bar, a barrel age old fashion where you smoke the old bass for like 20 seconds.
But the biggest thing is if you're not a golfer, even if you've ever just done top golf,
you don't have to have the right shoes on. You can come in cowboy boots or high heels or whatever,
and or your sneakers. It doesn't matter show whatever you want. You can put, you can do a driving
kind. I think we're doing a driving contest. Am I allowed to admit that I've done it barefoot?
This ain't the bowling alley kids. That's all I'm saying. This ain't the bowling alley.
It's as you are. Well, and we're not actually just letting a bowling out of that you're comfortable
in. You don't have to have your own clubs. Just like you don't have to have your own ball. We got
rental clubs. You just come on in. You don't ever have had to play before. If you've played
a club fight and hit the ball into a clown's mouth, I mean, that would be a little help.
I think we're going to have some t-shirts for the rumble that you win the fighting or shipping
contest that you're going to end up getting that. And there's a whole bunch of, I mean,
we talk about so many fun things that are going to happen here. So, but the space is big enough.
We're also going to have cornhole going on. So we have a few other things that we're doing.
It's not just golf. It's good times. So I'm excited with the test out the acoustics
on all these TVs and the sound sounded real good when we were in there last week. So
and our our area is so soundproofed. We're going to have our system out there. We're not going
to be disturbing anybody else and our area is going to be roped off. So you're already going to be
rolling VIP when you get there. Nice. Mike says he's not a golfer and he had fun when he went
with Alex. Look at that. Oh, yeah. Hey, Mike. How's it going? Mike's good to see you, brother.
We're hoping you come out and see us because we got so much. There's TVs with other stuff going on,
too. There is a ton of stuff going on. We will be doing the show live as the pre show. Now,
you see it on the room again. The rumbler tumbler will be back. If you've never been with us for
the rumble, you want to be there for the rumbler tumbler. Now you say, Rob, it also says,
picks on the screen, my friend. And Rich has not seen this year. I'm a little excited.
We don't do anything halfway on this show.
This is our championship. No, right here, brother. I can't even get the whole thing on the camera.
And this is solid metal. This is this is the 10 pounds of gold right here, baby.
So we will be doing match by match picks as we've done before, but we're going to change it up
a little bit. This will not be a cumulative contest this time. You will be able to pick the winners
of each match. If you have the best record at the end of the night, we will take your picture with
the belt. We will plaster it all over social media. So you guys will have your 15 minutes.
We're going to be there. Their pre-show starts at six. We're going to start at five
with the with the cheat podcast, of course, because that's the wrestling show.
We will prepare you for everything you need. We've got a couple of small logistical things that
we need to work out that we will have locked down for you before you know it. So you'll have
everything you need. Plenty of parking. There's a ton of parking in this place.
I have so much going on. This is probably going to be one of the biggest events we've ever started.
And just think to yourself, well Rob, there's other stuff too. Yeah, we know.
Stay by the channel. That's all I'm saying. We are so thankful that we have somebody like Rich
who's like, you know what? Let's do this thing. And it's not that hard for my house. So I'm already
winning. I don't feel the damage. I'm going to tell you, I want to do this. Am I allowed to do this?
Rich, I'm sure you're the final say on what happens at X. I'm just going to throw that out there.
I don't know. This just sounds like so much fun because you have the tumbler, right?
The tumbler will be there. If you've never seen the rumbler, we just named it like a half an hour ago.
If you've never seen the rumbler tumbler before, it is one of the coolest things that we do
because you never know who's going to win. We do it the way WWE used to do it in K-Fave Kids.
That's all I'm saying. You want to be there for this. Get there early.
We're going to be there probably mid afternoon because we're going to bring the full setup so
we can do the podcast. We'll be broadcasting live on. Probably we'll be doing it through the
through the podcast channel on Facebook, on Twitch. And the Sean's here. Hi, Sean.
Sean, you better be there. That's all I'm saying. I don't get to see Sean. I used to live in
Mosquitos right down the freeway. And now I'm not. So I don't get to see Sean as much as I used to.
So I just thought of something that might be a fun idea. Bring it. Every single thing somebody does
when they participate in this event. So if they do any of the putty or the chipping or the long drives,
then I think they should get like a couple of drawing tickets. And then if they do,
if they were a food item or any cocktail or a beer or a nice tea, anything they spend money on,
I want to make sure I give them a ticket. And in that ticket, we're going to do a drawing.
And at the end, they went $100 gift card for X golf, which is good for a golf or food or beverages.
You can spend it all on beer if you want it or do a date night or play around a couple of rounds
of golf. But how does that sound for an idea? Yeah. That's working. So it's January 27th. It's a Saturday
night. So you don't have to worry about just like rushing out to get there. You got all day to get
there. So I want to do the quick rundown. We've talked about having shirts for doing content,
raffle tickets, gift cards, the ability to win at multiple things. Maybe we're going to have shirts
and stock as well. So I don't see why you wouldn't come out. Even if you just want a free swag.
The box of swag will make an appearance. If you've never seen it, it's in my garage right now.
We're probably going to add more stuff to it because I know Don's got at least two crates weight.
So this is insanity. Mike says that's why he has that day roped off.
You're smart man Mike. I am so excited for this. With all these big screen TVs that are out there
in the sound system that's going and having the tumbler, the rumored tumbler and being able to
contemplate the fantasy football for this thing. Like I have something to pay attention to in a
root for on top of just having a good time. I'm pretty excited for this. And that belt is just
now you get to hold the belt. So next year or do you just we're going to take pictures because
you can't have anybody leave with the belt because the belt may never come back. But we actually
have two different belts. We have one for each podcast too because we do you other things with
the clubhouse itself. But you'll have your picture taken. You'll be immortalized forever.
We'll plaster you all over the social media. And like I said, you stay by the channel because
you never know where we might show up again. Well, and there's the other aspect rich wants to get
involved. Maybe the people at ex golf get involved and somebody wins. Maybe one or both of the belts
becomes a decor for the next show. And you're going to hear my feelings. And we're going to hear
my feelings at all. We have a hanger and official one. Yes, we do. Because I can't get to that
because I got to take like three other things out from on the other side of my laptop to show
I think. Well, and nobody's seen this yet. But this place is humongous. So to have a place of
honor in the wall for you guys up there with the belt and to be able to do this like every quarter
to have this big big podcast to interview this thing. Oh, man, I want to. Can we cosplay?
I think I get what a percent of this. Yeah, I'm telling you, brother, the the possibilities here
are endless. And if you thought that was it, remember that said announcement one.
We got another one coming. So a lot of a lot of going out. But I want to make sure to reiterate
how grateful I am for Rich Paul, Jason, everybody at X call. Yes. Yes. And Don's on vacation right
now, which is why he's not here. But he's very excited as well. They get back. I think this coming
weekend. So we'll fill Don in once he gets back because they're they're they're in a different
country. And now enjoying the holidays as they deserve to. So so I've gotten a lot of questions
in the last month of. Worst show. A couple of things have been going on. Number one,
a lot of things have been going on. I've been out of town. Alex has been out of town. The holidays
trying to get everything wrapped up. You may have noticed the pattern in the last two appearances
by this show. That is by design. I mean, oh, I gotta go to my other screen. Hold on.
Announcement two. You remember when there were like two shows and they would be like,
there'd be like a 30 minute break in between them. So if you watched both shows in the same night,
you were committing like three hours of your time on a Sunday. When GM shrunk and compacted,
I remember that commercial because in that commercial, they said, there was a time when seven
brands made sense. There was a time when two shows made sense. This is not that time.
But what's getting sacrificed? Not a dog on thing. We are going, we're, we're
under twinning this thing and bull tronning it back to its original source. Kids.
We're going back to one show. However, the show will have two distinct pieces to it.
But wait, there's more. The boys will be back very, very soon, even sooner than the rumble.
Beginning January 11th and you're standing yourself. Wait a minute, Rob. I'm looking at my calendar.
January 11th is about a Sunday. You ain't got to tell me it's part of my OCD.
One show at eight o'clock Eastern on Thursday nights. We are moving the show to Thursday nights.
So you don't have to worry about, oh, is my team playing on Sunday night football?
You're not even going to worry about their playing on Thursday night football because tonight's
the finale. And it is what I'm landing with a wimp. But we're going to take the contents of both
shows and we're going to put them together. Our one at eight p.m. Eastern will be the clubhouse
where we will cover sports. We will cover TV. I put an asterisk next to music.
We are not going to make cover everything every week. If there's something worth talking about,
you might say, there's a game tonight. It's the last one. You're okay.
And movies. If there's like, if there's no big music headlines, we're not going to talk music.
We're trimming things down a little bit. So it's a little bit more digestible.
It's a little bit more efficient. And we believe, and Alex correct me if I'm wrong, we believe
we'll make the show even more entertaining than it already is. Absolutely. No filler,
no moss, no fuss, straight to the good stuff and only the good stuff.
Our and we'll have a little bit of tech if there's anything to talk about. Our two is the
cheap pop cast. We are still going to delineate the two, but it will only be one fee.
So, but you'll be able to get to it from both. Excuse me. The advantage to us going to Thursday
nights from a clubhouse standpoint. A lot of people have been asking about our remotely
reviewed shows. We can do that now as part of the clubhouse because being on Thursday nights,
90% of the movies that we review will release the next day. Now, from a wrestling standpoint,
it's a little wonky. And we're going to ask for a little bit of grace from you guys as we try
to get the wheels on because being on Thursday nights, we're going into Smackdown versus Sunday's
going into Raw. So, we're going to try to figure out how that's going to take us a little while
to get the wheels on that. We have been working on a plan. We just have to get there. We're also
going to restructure that second hour. That second hour is going to be blocked by promotion.
So, where has before we were doing by day, by broadcast day? Now, we're actually doing by
production. So, promotion. So, one whole block will be Raw NXT Smackdown or probably Smackdown
Raw NXT. Another block will be concentrated on rampage collision dynamite. Now, if there's any
time left over, if there's stuff we need to talk about, whether it's New Japan, whether it's
impact about to beat TMA, which they need to change the hard to kill the Genesis, but that's a
different discussion for a different time. Whether it's Ring of Honor, whatever it is,
we will allow some time for those. So, there's going to be no real, for lack of a better term
obligation for us. Now, we'll still check out, we'll be watching all the content and if it's worth
talking about, we'll talk about it, Alex. And we're always available on our social media. So,
even if you don't have us on the show talking about what you want to hear, you can always hit us
up on Facebook, Instagram, X formerly known as Twitter. So, we are still going to be engaged with
the entire audience. We may not talk about it on the show just because of time constraints or
making sure there's time for other things, but we will always be available through the interwebs
to anybody that has questions. Well, and that's another advantage we have too. I just realized
that you guys can hear me okay, right? Yes, sir. Yeah, I just realized I'm not using my converter.
This is weird. I'm using one less piece of equipment and it's working fine.
Go figure. You're probably, do I sound as normal as I do, or do I sound a little bit more
hollow, Alex? Just slightly more hollow. I think you're getting me the microphone through the
laptop and not the board. That's why. Maybe. But it's working and that's what matters. Absolutely.
At least I hope it matters. Yeah, but people are, yeah, people are actually responding to stuff.
So we're getting something. I don't know what's going on anymore.
But we're really excited about where the show's going. And we're also very excited to have
you guys along for the ride. It also gives us more of an opportunity to engage with you guys on
social media because like Alex said, if there's some of that happens and we need to talk about it,
we can talk about it on social media. You also never know when we're going to show up on
streaming or you don't know, sometimes we don't know. But we've been sitting on this for a while
and I'm glad we finally get to talk about it. For the Royal Rumble, later this evening,
I will be setting up an event page from the Cheap Popcast for the Royal Rumble watching party.
We will make sure that we will strengthen this signal. Once you see it on there, please RSVP
that you're going to be there. We have a number in our head, but we're not telling you.
There's a couple of small, logistical things that we have to work out still. But I'm telling you,
this is going to be some of the coolest stuff we've done in a very long time. We've done where we
had the pre-show and the deconstruction. We're not saying those are going away. We just might
have to do them a little bit differently. We've had it where we've done the whole thing live.
This is the first time in a very, very long time that we've been able to number one do it from
not from an undisclosed location. Two, we get to see everybody and we miss you guys so much.
If you remember the way things were back in the day when we would do the pre-shows for the
pay-per-views, it is some of the most fun. If you've never been to an event with us,
this is a great jumping-on point for you because they are so much fun.
You never know the Alex and I may just take a trip over to Exkolf and do a Facebook Live so you
guys can see the place as soon as Rich is ready to show it out because we've been there. It's
fantastic. The food is great. We eat every time we go in there.
Absolutely. Now, go ahead, Ops. What I wanted to clarify in that scope is not only is this a great
jumping-on point just for this event, but because I have... Exkolf might literally be my favorite
place on the planet and yes, I'm even counting Disney. I cannot speak highly enough. You know
my love for Disney, but I cannot speak highly enough for Exkolf and its experience and you know what,
maybe someday I will tell this story about how it completely shut down a plan I had in the best
of ways, but I want to make sure that even if people understand maybe they can't make it to the rumble,
we want to see everybody that we can there, but Exkolf is still going to be a great place to go
regardless of the event and who knows. Maybe in the future we'll have other events that may not
be wrestling related. We're going to tell this. We're going to tell that story about how you had a
400 yard drive, but only 150 yards is in the air. People are going to be interested to see how that
happened. Doesn't matter how far it flies, as far as it matters where it stops. Well, there's also,
you know, when you beat the guy that works on the simulators over and over every day and there's
that, but I wasn't going to brag. And if you go to Exkolf's Facebook, you can see a quick commercial
that Alex did for them. Absolutely. I saw it. It's there. I'm new to the social media world and
actually doing nice things. Like, I need to learn what you're doing here. Like popping stuff
on the screen. I did the slideshow. Your new shoes show going together. I'm like, all right,
I can ask Rob how to do that stuff. I'm happy to help brother. Whatever you need from us,
we're here for it. As far as I'm concerned, you and we are teammates, we're all on the same team.
We're in this thing together. So January 20th, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
So they speak to me and things together. I'm dying. He said, what's on Alex's shirt,
and then he says, saving it for later. So I'm just dying. That's the only reason I'm hanging around.
Oh, you missed it. Oh, I stood up. Hold on. Two years ago, was it? No, was it last year?
Oh, the Royal Rumble was it was in San Antonio last year.
Alex, Alex and Sean was there really. Yeah, Alex and Sean were there for the rumble last year.
So this is going to be so much fun. You don't want to miss it. January 27th,

happens that they missed out on. Absolutely. I'm just thinking because if I had to miss this event,
I would, I would, I would be hated, but I would love to be able to see it. And it gives me one more
thing to root for. And it might not mean you could do it if they make a comment they get a drawing
ticket. Or we could do a separate online rumble barrel thing where the people online get
aside. And then the winner of that gets $100 gift card. I love how all-in-rich is right now.
This is, I'm over the moon right now. And I had a couple more thoughts Alex and I,
Alex and I were going to have to talk about separately because I don't know if I can pull it off,
but I'm going to try real hard. You can do it. I know you can do it. January 11th,

here. You don't have to go out of golf. But we have people in the PGA that play on this
internaments in other countries around the world. Are we allowed to say names that showed up?
Oh, I get it. Harry Hakes was just a rock wall. But it's nonstop. People there in the PGA used
to be in the PGA. All come into the X-Call Rock Wall. And I don't know if we got celebrities that
come into Rock Wall all the time just to come in and play on the simulators. It's because it's
actually a real golf. You're not just in a hitting bay, but it can be a hitting bay if you want.
You can do a scramble. You can bring your friend from work, it doesn't play very often. And you
can't do that on the golf course, but you can do it on the simulator. You can have groups of
10 people and you're all golfing together instead of being separated. You can do it for a date
night. You can bring in your kid. You can do a scramble. You can do tournaments. You can just do
the driving range. There's no limits to all the things that you can do here. And there's an
oddity. So I have to bend over and grab the balls. So this and I can have a drink or a bite to eat.
And obviously I need a little less to eat, but there's tons of it. There's just something
is for everyone, including being able to play like a pro. And we have a golf academy that's
going to be open. And we're probably off. I get to get with Jason. I just thought of another one.
Uh oh, here we go. I think we need to have this is all recorded. So you're going to be half
more. I know. I'm going to be in right now. So a free golf lesson from Jason. We're going to
I don't know what they have to do to win it, but we're going to get that in the mix. We're going to
get that in the mix. So, but um, so we're going to have an entire golf academy. Um,
Jacob golf academy is going to be here at ex golf frisco exclusively at ex golf and with
in their eight locations we're going to have. So, um, it's pretty it's pretty awesome to have
all the technology working with you and cameras and everything. So, um, but just just come on in,

the 27th, I happen to know for a fact that a producer of one of our favorite movies a few years ago
