Year of our Lord 2020 and my 17th wedding anniversary. That is a true story. Season 11, episode 11. 544 times this face and or this voice has welcomed you to the Clubhouse podcast live every Sunday night at 7 Eastern, 4 Pacific from Everything okay over there? >> Yeah, we're good. >> From Vocal Studios in North Dallas, Texas, welcome. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the of the Clubhouse podcast and this may be the first time I've ever worn a t-shirt with Bam Bam on it on the show. Shows you how hard it is to find Bam Bam merch anymore.

Let's go around the day. Sitting next to me is the official fact checker of Sooner or Gator Productions and a man who, yes, has his jersey tucked in. You may know him as IG Boonu, but his mama named him Don Ford. I'm going to call him Don Ford. Hey, Ann. >> Hey, congratulations on the anniversary. >> Thank you, brother. >> Hey, >> my marriage is old enough to see a radar movie by itself now. >> Oh, it's 17. >> That's what I just >> Yeah, that's my Okay. So, did you take the night off? >> We celebrated yesterday.

>> Oh, okay. I didn't know. Well, >> got got a little went picked up some Abuos and had dinner with my wife at the house and she got me a lofah that has Kevin on it >> and I have a new body pillow that's one of those weirdly shaped. It's like a big long C. So, I'm trying to figure out how to make that work. And so, it it's it's a great body pillow. I'm just I'm I'm learning the different configurations. >> But, no, it's been a great weekend. >> But, uh what are you wearing? 2X. You're talking about shirts.

2X. >> This is a single X, brother. >> Oh, really? Okay. All right. Appreciate the uh the thought of my weight there, Don. >> I didn't know. >> Is that a 2X or a 3X? No, Don, it's a single X. >> I didn't know. >> Rounding out the Deis is my co-host and a man who has probably the best Ohio shirt he has worn yet as the bet continues. He is Alex. Hey, brother. >> It is the shotgun formation for Baker Mayfield, but we're going to continue this bit until I die. >> And joining us out in the hallway, got to introduce him real quick because he has got a bunch of fires that he's got to put out this evening.

He is the host of Big 12 Talk and a man that couldn't be happier about Texas losing in quadruple overtime yesterday. He is Jay Gillespie. Hey man. >> Hey man. How's it going? >> So is that one of those games? Is U Texas one of those games like you you root for Oklahoma or do you just want like a zero zero tie? >> Yeah, kind of just a tie >> cuz I that's what I want when Florida State plays Miami. I'm like I don't want a winner. I don't want either one of them to win. >> But here's the other thing with it because he has Okay.

Because he has TCU. >> They beat Texas. Texas losing to another team that doesn't quite put them by the transitive property higher up. >> Nothing counts this year. >> Nothing counts in 2020. And I have teams that are deep in the playoffs. >> They can't tie. >> Actually, they do count now. They've all they've all backed up on that. >> I can't Nothing counts this year. I love that the Lightning won the cup. I love that the Stars were in the Stanley Cup final. I love that my Braves could go to the World Series and I might be there, but nothing counts.

>> And what about the NBA? >> Garbage. My Heat are still playing. They're playing tonight. They're staying alive, which I'm very excited about. But let's get right into it and talk NASCAR because today we had the Bank of America Roal 400 >> and the winner got an ATM machine. >> Okay, let me tell you something, Don. >> Yeah. >> To say words like ATM machine or PIN number. >> Yeah, >> you're being redundant. >> Okay. >> Because the M in ATM stands for machine. So, they're either at the ATM and they're entering their PIN because the N in PIN stands for number.

You see how that works? >> Machine. >> That's right. You just said automatic telling machine. >> I I took it cuz >> it's like the machine of a machine stands for like macho automatic. >> This might be a new record for off the rails. >> Who needs a board? >> He's an adult, ladies and gentlemen. >> Theoretically. Theoretically. >> Yeah. Physically I'm 40 years. >> Let's go to your top 10 finisher, shall we? >> Middle 12. >> Coming in 10th, starting in 11th in the number 14 Ford is Clint Bower, the Archer.

Starting in 28th and winding up in ninth place, one of my favorite NASCAR names in the number 41 Ford, Cole Kuster. Was this race his last stand? We'll find out. You're welcome. I've been there many times. The other archer, Alex Bowman in Junior's old car, starts in fifth, winds up in eighth, staying in seventh place, starting in seventh in the 19 Toyota as Martin Trux Jr. The poet, William Byron, starts in 13th, winds up in sixth in the number 24 Chevrolet. The stone Ryan Blay starts in 24th, winds up in fifth and the number 12 Ford Kurt Bush who he and his brother were an answer on Jeopardy on Thursday because it was athletes whose names are used in other industries.

>> Okay. >> And I was like and I even said who are what is B? And my wife just looked at me and I'm like thanks for watching the show honey. Starts in 10th, winds up in fourth. The bronze medal goes to the number 20 Toyota starting in 14th, Eric Jones. Silver medal starting in eighth. Running up in second in the number 2240 is Joey Leano. And winning the race starting in second place in the number nine Chevrolet is Chase Elliot, attorney at law. Let's go to where we're at from a standing standpoint.

Right now, we are still in the final eight. Joey Logano is currently a point behind Bowman. Bowman then is 10 back on Trux. Trux is nine back on Kzalowski. Kzalowski three back on Elliot. Elliot is 24 back on Harvick. Harvick is way behind right now. Leading is the Denny Moons over my Hamlin. Let's go to where we are at next week. Next week we are at the Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. I have actually stayed at a hotel that's right next to that. That is a beautiful facility and there's a lot of stuff to do right around there.

There's like a movie theater which may or may not be open. We'll talk about that later. Uh but there's like a lot of restaurants and shopping and stuff that's right around that freeway. But I'll tell you the first the first time I went there it was in the summertime. >> Oh boy. >> It was 123 degrees right outside that track. >> Oh god. because all the heat coming off the track. >> I see. >> Yeah, it was Oh, it was bad. >> And that's usually these venues are out in the middle of nowhere intentionally sometimes.

So, having like all that stuff around it, it's kind of cool cuz you go to Texas Motor Speedway, where's the nearest? >> They just built a Bies right there. There's a bunch of stuff around it now. When they first built it, but there's a ton of stuff out there now. Uh, and it will also be the Hollywood Casino 400 on your NBC proper next week at 2:30 Eastern if you are paying attention to such things. All right, let's see. >> Before we leave NASCAR, we do have a couple of interesting stories. >> Next year, you will only have one archer >> as Clint Boyer is retiring to go into broadcasting.

>> Oh, really? And beyond that, Alex Bowman is now your number 48 car driver, replacing Jimmy Johnson. >> That's right. Is Jimmy Johnson going to open wheel racing? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> Major League B Major League Baseball playoffs are underway. Your A LCS's are set to go. Tampa Bay will play Houston. Houston, Houston, who is, as Chick McGee said, the only team that's ever cheated in baseball history. >> I love Chick McGee. He's one of my leaders. That first pitch is in 27 minutes right now.

>> And then also on the NLCS, Misty's beloved Dodgers will be taking on my beloved Braves. >> There's if it happens there. Oh. >> Uhhuh. >> I hope that's a day game. >> Why? >> Because the day it same day is Bound for Glory. >> I would think that we can watch Impact later. >> I agree. I'm just saying we may not be able to watch that live because of the show. >> I would be I would be disappointed in you if you chose Bone for Glory. >> The only way the only way that happens is if we don't go >> that happens.

Uh but the World Series is going to be right here in Arber. >> Yes, it is in the big barn. >> There is a possibility I could be going to the World Series. >> Very. >> I have been once. It is a lot of fun. I was at the Subway Series twice. >> Every time the camera switches back to me, I got food stuck up in my gum and I'm trying to get out of >> That's all I always look over and realize that I look like I just came out of a wind tunnel testing for like gerbles or something. >> It's like a rodent on my head.

>> Wow, that went a long way. >> You hurt yourself with that stretch, Grandpa. >> So, they're not >> I don't know, Geyser. How are you? >> I'm not the one that doesn't admit it. >> So, what day are you looking for in the NLCS? >> It's not going to be the CS. >> We've already established the timing. It's the 24th. >> Allegedly, the 24th if it happens, but friend of the show, Rachel Wimberly, is working on she has told me to keep that day open. So, we will see how that all works out. Uh, NBA Finals game six underway tonight.

I would like to say the following to all the press. After game one, like, yeah, we got our butts kicked in game one. All the talk of a sweep and the Heat doesn't HAVE A CHANCE. SUCK ON THAT. ACTUALLY, to borrow one of your phrases, I believe Jimmy Butler is Kanyeing that series. It's like, yes, he is. I'm gonna let you finish, >> but I'm gonna have the last word. >> A team that nobody expected to go this far, much less this deep into this series. >> But again, it's it's the weirdness that is 2020.

>> And for somebody like Jimmy Butler, who has not exactly had the best of reputations with it, all of his teammates are like, "No, this is the guy you want leading you right now." So, kudos to him maturing, becoming a better player. Let's go Heat. >> And you know what? It's not over yet. It's not over. >> It's not over. It's game six. >> I mean, if they win, then it's it's a one game playoff. One and done. I mean, >> I And that's part of the reason I would love to see Miami win. No, besides the fact I'm a Heat fan, I would love to see them win because I would love to see this go seven.

>> Game sevens are the best thing in all of sports. >> I agree. But that's part of the reason why March Madness might be the best thing in all of sports, even though it bases itself around basketball, because every game is a game seven. That's part of the reason why we love the football playoffs. Every game is technically a game seven. Actually, that's football across the board. Exactly. >> Yeah. >> See, I I like >> it's when games matter. >> I like when your finals are game sevens. I just don't like it when your opening rounds are g are seven game series.

>> That's what I >> I don't even like a five game series. Three at the most. >> Lucky. >> That's what I've kind of loved about this baseball playoff since they expanded it. I know we're kind of backtracking a little bit, but did you notice anything about the different series? Your opening round, best of three. Your next round best of five, your LCS and your World Series best of seven. I like that. Let's go. I like that. I'm on board with that. I'm on board with that. >> Let's get into the NFL Thursday night.

Tom Brady can't count. >> One, two, >> cost me a game as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose to the now. >> No, one loss I >> one loss Chicago Bears 20 to9 today. Hey, but let's be honest. I, you know, I know of him and the cheat gate and all the deflate gate and all that and there's >> hold on a second. Uh, Don, you're not coming through clearly. I don't know where you're going. >> He's talking about Tom Brady currently, but I don't know where he's going. >> Cuz there was a lot of like half words. >> I know what he said.

I don't know where he's going. >> Yeah, because there's, you know, they say he's the greatest of all time. I'll debate that. But the thing is is that even if he knew what is knew was fourth down, doesn't mean he would have got fourth down. Would he have played the play different? You never know. But that doesn't guarantee he would got the first down after that play. Even if he knew his >> No, he played it as if it was third down. That's why he threw it away, thinking he had another way down. He threw it way down.

>> Right. But what I'm saying is >> he threw it into tight coverage trying to draw a flag versus trying to make the play, >> right? Not realizing that if he didn't make the play, he wasn't going to get another chance. >> Yeah. Yeah. And to be fair, uh I forget who the broadcaster or the because they always have a former player doing color commentary was really great about Look, this is not a shot at Tom Brady. This is something that commonly gets missed more than people realize. It's just usually not at the end of the game because oftentimes when you're running the hurry up and you have to spike the ball because you don't have a timeout, it's easy to forget that that was a down, especially if it wasn't just the prior one.

>> And there's many times you're watching at home and you think it's third down but it's only second or whatever. Vice versa. I've got screwed up watching the game before. I admit it. >> Yeah, but you ain't getting paid to do it. >> I know, but still, you're human. Carolina over Atlanta this today to the surprise of no one. 23-6. The Chiefs could not get to they they just >> That was a fun game. >> Yeah, but they still lose to the Las Vegas Raiders 40 to32 because >> I'm sorry. I'm going to need you to say that better.

>> I'm c Can I finish? >> No, you can't. >> Cuz I was about to say because it's fall and the autumn wind is a radar. >> That's not what I was going for. >> I don't like that with Las Vegas. >> You don't have a choice. >> It's not your call. Arizona beats up on the Jets because the Jets. >> The Jets make me feel better about myself. The Jets have I have the same number of wins as the Jets do currently. >> Do the song. What's it >> It's not I It worked last week. >> Okay. >> And they had to play with our backup quarterback.

So, it was kind of what you saw. So, I don't know why this made me giggle so bad, but as I was going through our fantasy league today, I clicked on just the scores because I was out of pocket and didn't know what the scores were. >> And when I looked at the scores for Rams Washington on Yahoo, it actually says the words football team. And it just it just brings me joy >> as the Rams beat up on them by almost three touchdowns. >> But we have great news coming out of that game. For the first time in two years, a man who might have lost his leg due to injury.

Alex Smith got into the game, >> unfortunately, because Kyle Allen got hurt and we wish the best for him. But how great of a good feelood story is it for Alex Smith to be back on a football team? >> Absolutely. There's a whole documentary out there that's amazing. >> Uh, and his family was in the stands. >> Cincinnati gets three scored three more points today than I did as they lose by 24 to Baltimore. Houston, Houston, Houston over doubles Jacksonville 30-4. And we have a final in San Francisco.

Sit down, kids, because you may not believe it. Miami beats the 49ers 43-7 like they owed him money. That should not have happened. And I love how Fitz Magic, you could never tell if he's winning or losing coming off of a field. Looks the exact same. Just cool as can be. Uh we also have currently going on right now uh New York now leading Dallas. Dak Prescott carded off the field with an injury. He's done. Um >> Andy Dalton, it's your time. And for Dak Prescott, we really wish he heals well. >> Uh you never wish something like that.

I don't care who who you play or who your rival is. >> Not at all. >> Uh oh, that was bad. And then uh tonight we have Minnesota at Seattle. Uh, Alex, the your overunder is 54 and a half and Seattle giving six and a half. >> Uh, hammer the over. All right. Hammer hammer the over. I Seattle covers. >> I would definitely take Seattle minus 6 and a half for sure. >> I would take Seattle undoubtedly, but I expect there to be a lot of scoring. Minnesota is starting to figure out what they're doing on offense.

Uh, Seattle, which I just completely stunned me. They're averaging giving up more than 400 passing yards a game in Seattle >> and they're still undefeated. >> But what I'm saying is is that Legion of Boom is not a thing anymore. Especially when you look at it, they're even though he's new to the team, their spiritual leader or the heart of that back end of the defense. Now, Jamal Adams also out with injury. So, you have Minnesota that is either gonna have to run against Bobby Wagner in a front seven that's still good or they're gonna have to be throwing and trying to run up the score to catch up with Russell Wilson and # let Russ cook and his multitude of weapons he's been using so far in his I'm going to win the MVP as long as Aaron Rogers doesn't season.

It's I I I got nothing else. I'm actually kind of more interested in seeing where uh this leads to. It works out well. One of my futures bets that I got good odds on is actually Seattle winning that division. And between San Francisco losing, the Rams playing well here and there, but man, the fact that they could only beat the Giants by eight. I mean, losing to the >> Do you really think Seattle could win all this? >> Oh, well, let me put it this way. I think Seattle is always in the thick of it.

>> No, no, no, no. To clarify, that's the division. That's the division. I 100% think Seattle can beat every team in that division at least once and twice in some cases. I think they'll beat the Rams twice. I think they'll beat San Francisco twice, especially with how San Francisco's been looking lately. They may split with Arizona because Arizona always gets >> a lot of the tiebreers. So, you think you'll win? >> No, no, also understand right now, Don, you talk about the NFC. >> Yeah. >> Seattle has more wins than the entire NFC East combined right now.

And on top of it, you look at it and I I loved this factoid was if the Cowboys beat the Giants, which they absolutely should, they'll have two wins, be one game under 500 and the clear front runner in the standings. It's insane. >> They they could lose. They got their backup. >> We'll see. >> But I have You're up a field goal right now. There's 846 left in the fourth quarter. >> Yeah, that's the title. >> Tomorrow night, we have two games. >> The other way, sir. I'm seeing New York Giants 34, Dallas 31, Dallas second and two at Dallas 48.

>> You just said the Cowboys were up. >> No, I said you're up a field goal right now. >> Okay. You you being you got to stop using pronouns. That didn't make sense. >> Uh so tomorrow night, two games because there's a lot of math involved in the NFL this year. >> No, there's not. >> Yes, there is. >> There's only one game tomorrow. >> The Denver >> Oh, Buffalo Tennessee has been moved. That's right. 10:13. It's been >> the the second game for Monday was Denver New England and that one has been wiped.

>> Right. But I have two games left on the schedule. I don't I'm just confirming it's not Monday. Right. We have one game tomorrow night as the Chargers will be at the Saints. >> New Orleans given seven over under 49 a half. >> I am still taking New Orleans at seven. >> I'm not going to disagree with you. >> When it hits seven and a half, I'll question it. >> And plus the guy I'm playing has the Chargers in at the defense. So, let's go New Orleans. And uh then um Tuesday night at 6 o'clock central time, Buffalo, the undefeated Buff I can't I can't say those words.

>> The team up there is undefeated. They are playing with the most wins in the state of New York. >> The undefeated Buffalo Bills. >> They're well the only team that actually plays in New York. >> That's exactly right. >> They are the against the undefeated Tennessee Titans, which may or may not happen at this point because we've had more positive. >> I heard that got Didn't that get delayed now? We're not delayed. Tuesday was the delay, right? Tuesday was the delay. Tennessee has not had any new positive tests on the team >> that we're aware of yet.

>> Uh at this point, it was an actual uh office assistant kind of deal. >> And we have one more game to talk about. >> We have another game to talk about as Dons's Pittsburgh Steelers, for the first time since 1979, start the season 4-0 as they beat up on the Philadelphia Eagles 38-29. Rothlessberger from so what I watched in this game today did not look bad. He was making good decisions. Uh uh JT oh Watt why did I just have that? >> TJ Watt >> TJ Watt was on McAfee on Friday and he was saying >> get ready because in practice he's zipping the ball.

He's back to where he was. And the reason I held that game until last Don Yeah. >> was because this is a big week. >> Your birthday is the day after tomorrow. >> Yeah. It's coming up in two days. Alex's birthday is next Sunday. He's going to be on he's going to be on assignment next week. >> Okay. >> So, what I thought we would do is go ahead and celebrate your birthday right now. >> Alex doesn't like the the public recognition, but he'll get his he'll we're still going to do it during Hell in the South.

Don't make >> Oh, yeah. >> So, I thought I'd come down with something >> is uh you're going to come down to the studio is what's going to happen. >> Well, this is up. >> Um it's kind of over. >> Yeah. >> So, I thought I'd give you give you your uh give you your gift for your birthday. Let's go ahead and start. I want you to read the labeling. And now Alex doesn't know what's going on right now. Not at all. >> So I want you to read the envelope on the outside cuz they won't you won't be able to see it on camera.

They can't just in case. Okay. But he didn't believe you. >> Don Fact Cheeer Fon Dongo Igbonu. He who sometimes gets websites right. >> Sometimes www. >> Oh, but pro wrestling. >> There's a CARD IN THERE. I WANT TO TRY. WWW.PRO pro wrestling.com/thechepodcast at my Twitter atbunu Igba. >> That's the end of the show, Don. >> I got it right. >> But that's the end of the >> Well, it it's actually Popcast. It sounded like you said Pubcast. That's a different That's a different show we're working on. >> Okay.

All right. Hi. Paper Covers rock. There's two bears. Okay. They kind of see that. Okay. By a tent and backfire. That reminds me of Montana. That's the same animal of Montana is the black is the grizzly bear. I get first dibs on the campers. >> That's one bear talking to the other. >> Yeah. No. Hi. >> Because he he beat him out. >> Yeah. I get first dibs on the campers. Don, happy birthday to an unbearably awesome brother. Hope you can use yours. Fit for some cool stuff for the pit boss. Okay. Thank you.

>> So, go ahead. Your your your gift is in the bag there. There's a couple of them. >> Okay. >> Can I just say I'm glad there's not a children's book involved in this. >> I love this. This is awesome. That's a grizzly bear. I remember when we actually voted between the elk and the grizzly. >> Don, it's only a 90-minute show. >> Oh. Oh. Ooh. Ooh. Omaha stakes. Omaha stakes. >> Omaha or steaks. >> It actually says happy birthday onto it if I'm not mistaken. And with that, they got you got you a little special on some bacon wrapped fillets, too.

>> Oh, wow. Okay. >> Flaming too just Oh, wow. So, um, we're going to have to figure the pit boss because unfortunately it might looks like it might be Wrestlemania till the next NXT on a Sunday. >> No, that's fun. This is for you and Faith. Okay. >> This is for you and Faith to enjoy. >> I don't know if the amount is on there or not, but we can talk about that off air. >> Okay. But thank you so much. >> Yeah, I don't think the amount's on there. Is it? >> Uh, I can look on the back. No, >> probably.

Okay. Remind me after we get off the air and I'll tell you. >> No, but thank you, though. >> You're very welcome. Happy birthday, brother. >> I can't wait to have you guys over. Actually, have you over, too? Mostly I've been there. >> Yeah. >> But yeah, I think what the next Saturday? >> No, it'll probably be the weekend of >> Survivor Series. >> Survivor Series. Yeah, when it's on a Saturday, >> Wrestlemania. Yeah, >> it's always with the major. So, there you go. >> All right. Thank you so much.

>> All right. So, let's talk about next week in the NFL, week six, Thursday night. >> Nope. >> Not going to happen. So, let's just move to Sunday, your early games. Houston at Tennessee. We don't have any lines up on these games. Well, that's cuz we have Tennessee still yet to come. They won't post, >> but none of the games have lines yet. Um, actually, a couple of There are some. Yes, some do. >> Uh, Cincinnati will be at Indianapolis. I know that Philip Rivers is underperforming as my backup quarterback today, but they're going to hammer Cincinnati.

This is not a good team. >> I am taking Cincinnati at this line. >> Wow. What's the line? >> 10 and a half. That's double digits. >> Yeah, I can understand. >> It's hard to cover double digits in the NFL. And especially because I think the Bengals just ran into a buzzsaw with Baltimore today. I think Baltimore's far better than they showed last week against Kansas City. And nothing about Indiana scares me to the point. This looks this this screams back door cover to me. >> Uh Atlanta will be at Minnesota.

These teams are already combined one and seven. >> Yeah, Minnesota's going to win that. >> Uh Washington football team will be at your Giants. Another another game where the teams are combined one and seven. And you've got you don't have the one, although you might have it before too much longer. I'm just I don't have enough faith in either one of these teams. >> I >> I would stay away from this game like a >> No, no. There is something I'd be very intrigued to see when they set the line. What's the total?

And can I bet the under? Can I bet that the cheerleaders will score more points? That's what I want to know. >> Baltimore will be at Philadelphia. I would be hammering Baltimore. I don't care if it's up 20. >> Philly is not good. >> Philly looked a lot better than they have lately. And at seven and a half, that's that's one of those ones where they're trying to entice you to pick Baltimore. That's because that half a point. They're thinking like this is another one of those back door covers. Philadelphia actually looked good against Pittsburgh today.

Uh they kept it relatively close other than a late score by Pittsburgh to open it up, but this is one where they're expecting Baltimore to get up early and then take their foot off the gas and see Philadelphia catch up within a touchdown. >> Cleveland at Pittsburgh. >> Oh, well, you know, Pittsburgh's overrated, so >> they're 4-0. But Cleveland's three- one, so >> Oh, yeah. But, you know, I got I got the Brown shirt on. I might have to go with the Browns, you know, adopt the loser men. >> Baker Mayfield's got some of my that that Baker Mayfield's house is just I love those commercials.

>> I hate the the covering of furniture, but every one of them, every other one makes me get >> a book club one. No, there's one reason why I hate the book club one. It's the fact >> book clubs. >> No, it's because they use the same line that they use every time. It's a fake book club about the inner allegory BS. >> But that makes it hilarious. >> That's what makes it terrible. Chicago will be at Bank of America Stadium to play the Carolina Panthers. Carolina's not playing consistent enough for me, but but Chicago is really starting to play some ball here.

>> Carolina has been lights out for two weeks now. >> I'm still not >> But they've been playing bad teams. >> Detroit will be at the Jaguars. >> That's That's going to be interesting. >> The Cure for Insomnia game of the week. >> I bet Detroit comes out House of Fire in that one just because they have a by-week. They Wait, Detroit had a planned by week to prepare for this game. Uh Miami will be at Denver maybe. >> Right now I'm showing that they are going to be playing the Jets in the shuffle. >> Okay.

Uh Jets scheduled for the Chargers. I think that might be an easier game to watch. Packers will be at Tampa Bay. My starting quarterback a Aon Rogers with the HSO of the week when he people were talking about he's on a down year on Pat McAfee show and he said my down year's like most people's career years. I love this version of a Aon Rogers. the the IDGAF, if you will. >> Oh, he's so great. >> Idgaff Rogers. >> And I'm so vindicated by drafting him. Rams will be at the 49ers as your night game next week.

Thoughts there? I I wonder about the shuffle around here and with the fact that you now have the second game in a row where CJ Bethard is coming in for the second half. Uh, this team has not looked good. Like ever since Solomon Thomas and Nick Bosa were out for the year, it looks like the entire team is just the chicken running around with its head cut off. No idea what to do. And the Rams have selectively looked really good. >> Monday Night Football next week, Arizona at Dallas. >> Uh we have two games for Monday night next week.

>> That's all I have right now for that. >> Okay, so right now I believe the Thursday night game is shifted to early Monday and that is the Chiefs at Buffalo. >> Okay. Uh to which I bet the Chiefs come out very angry against an undefeated team. >> Updates right now. Uh Colts down six and we have a tie down the street. >> Yes, we do. >> Dallas first and 10 on their own 35. >> Well, that's the kickoff, >> right? I'm just saying that's where they're at. And Andy Dalton passed for a seven yards. >> So, you got that going for you.

Oh, >> yeah. They're giving up. They just got the field goal and tied in the field. So, they're getting a kickoff to the Giants. >> Okay. Yeah, I just saw that. It's going to be hilarious. >> And uh and Cleveland just kicked a field goal as well. >> So, all right, let's get into some TV talk. >> Uh let's just go to your to the fantasy updates. Um I am projected to win maybe. Uh we're going to have to see how Tim does tomorrow night. Alex currently projected to win as well >> because somebody touched the thermostat down south.

>> So, but you're good with that though. >> I'll take it anyway I can at this point. >> Wind's a win, brother. Television talk. Let's get into it. Disney Plus announced, we talked about Soul uh last weekend. >> Mhm. I'm very intrigued by this. >> It will debut on Disney Plus on Christmas Day. >> Did they say if it's going to be by the premiere like they did with Mulan? >> They have not said for sure. I got the feeling it wouldn't be because it's Christmas Day. >> I could see Disney doing it either direction.

>> Uh you McGregor has all sold about. >> This is the latest Pixar film. It's about a musician who basically he dies and has to get his soul back to real life. Okay. Is it animated or real life? >> Yes, it's it's very Inside Out. >> Okay. All right. Looks great. Same company. Yeah. >> Looks great. And you McGregor has said the Obi-Wan series will start filming in March. >> I >> I'm too excited for this. >> HBO Max News. Uh Cartoon Network is gonna have a series and I don't know how I feel about it.

Go on. It's called Bat Wheels. I'm uh >> Your main character is the Batmobile. So, this is like cars in Gotham City. >> See, and I was thinking it might have been kit style. >> Mm- >> Okay. >> I don't know how I feel about this. >> It cuz I mean it's going to be many it's going to be set for for the young ones. Yeah. >> So, >> uh >> intriguing. >> They have green lit a Green Lantern series, >> but uh >> and it's going to it's going to encompass multiple Green Lanterns, >> right? But who their main focus is?

>> Guy Gardner. >> Guy Gardner will be involved. >> Right. But what I'm saying is which iteration of the Green Lantern is going to be the primary focus to start. >> The article I read did not say >> uh it's Oh, wow. I'm on the spot. I'm >> Hallel Jordan. Kyle Rener. Hallel Jordan's the original. >> Wait, no, not Hal Jordan. The one after >> Kyle Rener, John John Stewart Henry. >> John Stewart. >> John Stewart. John Yeah, John Stewart. >> The African-American lantern. >> Yes, that's the one. who should still be played by Comet in the live action movie in my opinion >> which they are allegedly talking to a Michael B.

Jordan about possibly jumping to >> on board. >> Yes. Michael B. Jordan could do no wrong. >> Haven't do a movie reading the phone book. I'll be in the I'll be the first one to buy a ticket. >> Mhm. >> And Thursday, get ready Thursday night for the live I don't know if it's live, but it's at least going to be on the premiere of the West Wing reunion where they're taking one of their best episodes and doing it as a stage production. >> I saw this. This looks fantastic. the trailer just I was giddy.

>> Yeah, I know you're the biggest West Wing fan I know. >> Uh there's one bigger and it sh and they share my home >> that that I know of. >> My wife is just as big if not bigger. She just went through the whole series again. >> Oh wow. Okay. >> And it's it's it's an amazing series. I love it. I can't We have made We have a date night planned for Thursday to watch this. Unfortunately, I'm probably going to have to hook my laptop up to the big screen because the Roku after I dismantled the Apple TV, forgot that Roku doesn't have HBO Max.

>> So, I have it on the AT&T box in the back bedroom, but she has a Roku and then we have Roku in the living room. So, >> and we'll talk more about that here in just a little while. NBC last night. I have not watched SNL yet, but apparently the planned musical guest Morgan Wallen was cancelled by NBC after video surfaced of him at a party without a mask. >> Smart. >> So, they pulled the ejection seat on him and Jack White was your musical guest last night who at one point did an Eddie Van Halen tribute.

We're going to talk about that here in a minute. >> I saw the first little bit of it and it was pretty good. It was the u >> It started off with the vice president. I haven't watched it yet. So, those >> Yeah, it was good. >> Uh Netflix has canled Glow for season 4 even though they've already filmed the first episode and Taia Valkyrie was actually supposed to be on it this year. >> Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about that. I've enjoyed the first three seasons very much. >> So, I have to binge them all at some point, but they have renewed Jurassic Park Crustaceious for year for season two.

>> I don't know how I feel about that. I've watched the trailer multiple times with wanting to turn it on and just see what it's all about. I just I don't know. I can't get into Well, and and in a very bold move from Netflix, they have said they plan on releasing six animated films per year. >> That is very bold, >> but you can do that when you don't do anything in house. When you outsource everything, you could do one every week if you wanted to, but it's >> so footing the bill, so to speak. Uh >> because they've been doing a lot of that with they've become big players like with the con film festival where you wind up with selling rights and details like that.

Netflix has gotten to the point where they're just like, "Oh, you have a cool idea. How much money do you need? >> Yep. Uh, we've been talking lately about the new Star Trek series that'll be on Nickelodeon called Star Trek Prodigy. >> Kate Mulgru. I I found out that the the the empastasis is on the second salable. She will be returning as Captain Janeway for it. >> Oh, okay. >> Her character from Star Trek Voyager will be turned. I I saw right before we went on air that something else is being done with uh James A, was it not James Avery?

No, who played him? played uh Captain Cisco on Deep Space 9. He was get he's going to be featured in the series as well. And Deep Space 9 is my favorite Star Trek series. I'm a big fan of Deep Space 9. >> Uh that would Benjamin Cisco. >> Yes. J is its Avery Brooks. James Avery Brooks. That's that's where I get it always screwed up. James Avery Avery Brooks. >> Um >> Shudder, the the horror network. >> Yes. Yes, they have acquired a documentary about The Exorcist called Leap of Faith that's going to be airing very, very soon.

I'm actually interested in that because number one, I like documentaries. Number two, one of the documentaries that I'm very keep wanting to watch and I keep getting away from me. It's called Room 222. It's about the making of The Shining. >> Oh, interesting. >> And yeah, and I keep forgetting to watch it. It's I got to put it in my queue again. >> Is it 222 or 223? I thought it was Was it 23? >> Maybe it's 223. Whatever the Just look up documentary about uh The Shining. This one's about the >> 237.

That's right. Uh, this one is about the making of The Exorcist. It's called Leap of Faith. And I'm I like I said, I don't like horror movies, but I've seen that movie, and I would like to see the documentary about it. >> Uh, because I've heard there's a lot of wheels off stories. TV. >> Don't think about who they're directing. >> Yeah. TV on DVD and Blu-ray this week. Uh, the complete series of Parks and Wreck. >> Oh, very nice. >> Available this week. >> I'm a big fan of that show. And interestingly enough, I'm the rarity that saw that one before The Office.

See, that was my problem is like the first episode I was like, "This is just The Office." And I never watched another episode. >> And that's the problem is is because that's what it started out as was getting people hooked because it was another version of The Office, but really caught itself in the second season to go on. >> Oh, yeah. I loved it. But my my favorite story about that was that Chris Pratt was only supposed to be on like one or two episodes for the arc and everybody liked him so much they just made him a permanent character.

>> But yeah, it was actually two room 237. >> 237. >> Yeah. for correction. >> In rough news this week, we lost two very big musical icons. One being Johnny Nash, who you may not know the name, but if you've ever heard the song I can see clearly now. He originally did it. He had quite a string of hits, but that was the biggest one. And then losing Eddie Van Halen. Now, first of all, Eddie Van Halen was 65, which older than I thought he was. when when in retrospect it makes sense, but there are certain rock stars that you see at a certain point and that's how old they are for the rest of ever.

Eddie Van Halen in the early Van Hagar era is about where he stopped aging for me. >> He hit the plateau basically. >> There isn't a word like he's not an icon. He's not a legend. Like he's bigger than all of that. The EVH guitar is one of the most recognizable guitars in the world. Also known as the Frankenstein. >> Uh I know this is a little bit of a crossover with the other show, but >> did you see the post from Chris Jericho? >> I did not. >> About So he had EVH on his arm this this week on the show, >> but he was putting up a post of you may have seen me wear this gear more than anything else.

It was literally that guitar in the Frankenstein >> in trunk form. and he's like, "I wore this more than any other gear at the opening of the 2000s." And he had bunch a bunch of pictures to go along with it, talking about how Eddie Van Halen was one of the reasons he wanted to get into music, which I thought was amazing. Van Halen, whether it's Eddie or his brother Alex who played drums, or his son Wolf Gang, who played bass when Michael Anthony left, that's when I saw them. The only time I ever got to see them live was right at the tour where they were back with Dave and they played here at the American Airlines Center.

>> I was there was the one that was rescheduled, right? >> No, this one was the the first time. >> Okay. I saw this first time they came through >> and it was a uh I want to say it was one of Marley's kids opened up for him for them and I just remember being in the stands and being 13 years old again and just like 1984 is one of those albums that resonates. It holds up. Drop Dead Legs, Panama Jump, just that whole album, Hot for Teacher. >> Even before that, I mean, >> well, I'm just saying like that album always sticks out for me.

I like a lot of people don't like Diver Down because the number of covers. I think Diver Down's a great album. >> Pretty Woman with the >> their version of O Pretty Woman and Eruption, which was actually used in the Minions movie, >> which I loved. >> Yeah. If you ever want to get my mother on a tangent, just talk to her about Jump. I love that song. >> My favorite by them, Running with the Devil. >> Great song. >> Just that. Oh, that whole that that is a great song. >> One of the great things was is that when I was in college in Montana going to Montana State, yes, we actually have a university up there in a building with, you know, electricity and water.

Um, they came to Montana and played at the in Billings, Montana, the Metro, which is like the equivalent of Reunion Arena. You could say it's the only one in the whole state, but it's about that size of reunion. >> And uh they did a camp out where people camped out on tickets. This is before the internet and ticket master and right >> we camped out and I was like third in line and I had front row seats and all that. And um just to actually see them that was with the Sammy Hagar and all that stuff.

Um and that was with the o oh you ate one too and how do I know it's love? Love that song. all that. I mean, but Win is an amazing track, >> but then seeing them, >> you know, seeing I hope I wish his original. I know Wolf Gang, I understand Wolf Gang and all that, but I would have loved seeing them with Michael Anthony on that tour. >> He's just attached to Sammy at the H. >> You know, and I but I mean I wish but still seeing three of the four with Wolf Gang was acceptable to hear him do Running with the Devil, hear him jump.

And I know they had their beefs and I know Eddie and Dave had their beefs and some may have been more more of one side than the other, but still I mean like for instance 1984 Eddie Van Halen fought for that song 1984 to be on the album. Dave didn't want it >> because it was an instrumental because Dave wasn't on. >> But it's a great intro to it is I agree with you. >> Yeah. I mean so they can have their beefs and all that and then they reunited and then they you know the thing with Beck and all that and they had their beef again then and all this.

I mean, it's such a hot mess. But still, the guys, what they said, the king. They called him the king. >> I And I'm not going to debate it. >> Yeah. >> He changed the way people played guitar. He changed the way the guitarists were seen from a from an endorsement standpoint. He changed the game for classic rock. And I love that Sirius XM has a channel dedicated to them right now because they should. >> And I also just realized why my mother's attachment to that album. Why is that? >> Came out on my father's birthday.

>> Oh, >> it was his birthday present. The first birthday he had as a father. >> Oh, Masletov. >> Yeah. >> By the way, the the jacket has been laundered. It is hanging up waiting for the cold season. >> What jacket? There's no sleeves. >> Yeah, technically. Uh Billy Joe Armstrong, I don't know if you guys have known about this, but since the pandemic has happened, he's been doing a YouTube series called No Fun Mondays, where he's doing cover songs every Monday on YouTube. And there's been some great covers.

He is actually going to release them as a 14 song album on November 27th and it's just him and there's some guests in there too. But some of the covers Yeah, I'm looking forward to this. I will be getting a copy of this. >> Very intrigued. >> Music new releases and places you get music new releases this week. Uh Juicy Jay is back with The Hustle Continues. I didn't realize it ended. Good to know that. And the Struts are back with Strange Days. Those are the only two albums that I found. Uh, looks like the Giants did not pull out a win.

>> Thanks for the spoiler. >> Oh, how was I ahead of you? >> video. >> I figured you'd be ahead of me. >> That's okay. I'm used to you spoiling things. >> Oh, really? >> No, I'm kidding. That's That's his job. >> Some movie talk real quick. Uh, just know that any movie any movie you're looking for is going to get pushed back a year. I'm not talking about release date shuffling. I am a little angry though because last week on this show when we were doing the show remotely, I made it a point to talk about the No Time To Die podcast series.

It was going to be a six-part series with interviews with all of the stars. Literally, as we're talking about that story, a new episode drops in my phone, and I'm like, "This is great." AND THEN I FIND OUT IT'S BECAUSE THEY DELAYED IT. Would you like a a more fun story? >> Sure. >> You asked me to go look up a trailer yesterday. >> Yes, I did. >> I made everyone else in my house sit down, told them nothing about it, and I said, "I just want your reaction for Sabin Films and I played the trailer and just watched brains melt." >> For those you don't know what he's talking about, there's a new Mel Gibson movie coming out called Fat Man.

>> I wish we could play it right now. >> Don, have you heard of this film? >> No. So, let me explain this to you. >> Wait, wait, don't try to explain it. We got to have them. >> That's like that podcast Fat Man in the >> It is not about No, it is nothing like Fat Man Beyond, >> which just celebrated their 300th episode, by the way. So, might as well talk to those boys. >> All I'm going to tell you, Don, Mel Gibson. >> Okay. >> Walton Gogggins. >> That's a good >> Shane from The Wire. >> Okay. >> Not The Wire, the The Shield.

>> The Shield. Yeah, Shane. That's a good place to stop. >> Okay. Yeah. I mean, >> that's all I'm gonna tell you. When we when we get off air, >> I want you to watch this trailer. >> I will pull it up on the iPad for you. >> I don't even want you to leave before you watch it because I want to watch your reactions to it. >> As do I. >> Those of you watching at home or wherever you are when the show is over, don't do it now. Stay with us. When the show is over, just go to YouTube and look up the trailer for Fat Man with Mel Gibson.

>> Why don't we just play it now? Watch my reaction live on the show. >> Because we don't have a way for the people to show it because Jay's working on some other things. >> I understand. But I mean, back. >> But what I'm saying is them not being able to see what you're seeing, that is not riveting television or radio, my friend. >> All right. >> We can watch it later. >> Okay. Now you have me intrigued. >> Oh, you should be. >> Uh, Doctor Strange will be in Spider-Man 3. >> Found that out the other day.

Yep. Doc Benedict Cumber Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will be in Spider-Man 3, whatever it's being called. >> And we are getting a sequel to one of my wife's favorite films. >> Go on. >> Across the Universe is getting a sequel. Have you Have you Do you not know what this is? >> No, I don't. >> This was done Oh, geez. 15 years agoish. Uh, directed by Julie Tamour, who directed The Lion King musical and the failed Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. This is a musical set in the late 60s, and it's all Beatles music.

Evan Rachel Wood is in this. Uh, >> I've lost the names of >> Bono has a song in this. Uh Jim Sturisimuro Anderson, Dana Fuches, >> Dana Fuches is amazing in this film. >> TV Carpio, >> that's one you're gonna That's one you're gonna have to come over. We can watch together on the home theater system cuz they do their own singing in the film and it's all Beatles songs. Bono does a song on the soundtrack with the Secret Machines. >> Apparently, he's in the movie >> very briefly. >> Yeah. But it's it's a really interesting story about love and loss and loss of innocence and coming of age in the time of the Vietnam War.

>> The fact that Jim Sturgis' name in the movie is Jude has me a little suspicious. >> They all have characters. I'm noticing that. >> Yeah, >> that Prudence is a character. So, they do dear Prudence when they're and she's locked herself in the bathroom and they're trying to get her out of there. >> It is It is amazing. My wife, I took her, we saw it theatrically and she loved it because my wife loves the Beatles and we own the mega version of the soundtrack and why don't we do it in the road. Oh, Dana Fuches is amazing in this film and I don't think she's done much since but she is she alone is worth this film and Evan Ra Evan Rachel Wood is also great in this movie.

This was before, of course, before Westworld, but other after other stuff she's done. >> It's nominated for a Golden Globe and an Oscar. >> As she should have been. >> No, no, no. The movie was >> as it should have been. >> Yeah. Uh, costume design. >> Oh, it should have been nominated for more than that. >> Uh, that was the only Oscar it was nominated. Golden Globe was best motion picture for a musical or comedy. >> And it and it should have been because it's wonderful. All right, I'm going to pull this uh I did not have uh because our only movie theat we actually have a theatrical release to talk about this week.

>> Oh, really? >> It's called The Trial of the Chicago 7, which I want to say was done as a documentary that you saw recently, Don. Uh seven people trial stemming from various charges surrounding the uprising at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois. Directed and written by one Aaron Sorcin. So, a let's go. Eddie Redm is in this. Sasha Baron Cohen plays Abby Hoffman in this. Let's see. Are there any Mark Riyance, you know, I'm a huge fan of Joseph Gordon Levit is in this. Frank Langella is in this.

I'm already in. Don't need to know anything else. I'm good. Runs two hours and nine minutes is actually going to get a theatrical release this week. DVD and Blu-ray new releases and places. You get DVD and Blu-ray new releases this week. Happy Happy Joy Joy. The Ren and Stimpy story. It's a documentary will be available this week. Yeah, I've been wanting to see this. I saw the trailer. It's very intriguing. Uh Claudine gets the criterion collection treatment and it's time this week. Batman Death in the Family, the interactive film.

>> I still don't know how I feel about that. >> I'm interested. >> Like anything interactive makes me concerned. >> That's because of the way they did the original story. >> Well, no, no, I'm talking about anything period. I know. I know why it is interactive and I and I if that's the only part that's interactive, I can kind of get on board. Uh for those that don't know, do you want to cover that? >> Basically, this is the story of uh Jason Todd's Robin getting killed in the 80s. Basically, what happened is they got to a certain point in the story and this is before the internet.

So, they gave people a choice of 900 numbers, which were numbers you paid for to call, >> whether you whether he lived or died. The the story that DC says is that was a very close race. I have heard from people inside the industry that said it wasn't that close because nobody liked Jason Todd, but I've read a review of it already and I don't understand how somebody could have reviewed it already and I don't think it's real. >> You think it's somebody just waxing poetic? >> I Well, I think it's somebody who wants you to believe they've seen it.

Unfortunately, >> it's got some spoil it's got some spoilers in it because of what Jason Todd and the way that whole thing ends. And apparently, you can actually pick either way. There's actually three choices that from the screenshot that's on the back of the Blu-ray that I saw on Amazon. So, I'll check it out. I don't know. I don't know if that's the only choose your own adventure thing you can do, but >> you know, it's got like six shorts on it, too. One of them they're doing a Sergeant Rock on there.

>> The three choices. Do you want me to provide those? >> Yeah, go ahead. >> Okay, so your three choices are Robin cheats death, Robin dies, >> or Robin lives, >> right? >> Or Batman saves Robin, >> right? >> Some tech talk. Apparently, I'm yodeling now again. Regal, Cinnol, and not William Regal, Regal Cinemas. Cinnow World and Alamo Draft House have suspended business. >> At least Alamo definitely in DFW. I don't know outside the That's unfortunate though. >> They still have some in Austin, but >> Well, they're all over the country.

>> Well, yeah, but I mean, but for instance, they they were keeping two open in the DFW area. The uh >> Richard Lake. >> Yeah. And now they're having to close the DFW ones now, too. Yeah. Yeah. >> AMC and Cinemark still standing firm. >> All All indications post it's going to be another year. I'll tell you what, when we get to that time when the world gets healed enough, I don't know if I can't say that I wouldn't be at the theater every day. >> I can't say I I It's weird because our end of year show >> we're not going to have >> is going to be the most different we've ever done because >> it will be an anomaly.

Did we have any stage Did we do one stage show this year, Don? >> Possibly. I can't even remember. I have to look. I can't think. I mean, March was the last time >> we might have had one and the only the last movie I saw in the theater was Bloodshot. >> Yeah, >> there's there is a screening this week, but I can't make it >> and I'm I've still went it's no offense until I get into the immunity. >> I respect it. No, I fully respect. >> I I cosign that. >> There's no no disrespect taken, sir. But that's why I'm saying once we get back to the point of healed, not just a pack that it is open and normal because I will be reserving myself in the same realm.

>> Yeah. >> Once I get to the point where you could tell me I'm going to go to the theater and my chances of getting anything or catching anything is less than 5%, maybe less than 1%. >> I will tell you what's weird over past few the past probably four or five years especially in the life of this show. It's midocctober. Can we just basically round it up a little bit? >> Sure. >> Yeah. >> By now, I've at least gotten two or three screeners in the mail >> for year end. >> Yeah. >> I haven't got a one yet.

And I know my address has been updated because North Texas Film Critic has already asked for that, which I have supplied them. >> Well, I haven't got anything. >> That's what I'm saying. Normally, we we've at least gotten two or three. Last year, we got them early. Well, yeah, >> because last year I remember because I moved in November and I was getting stuff at the house before we moved and then kept having to go back because they wouldn't correct my address. >> Oh, I remember. >> Got porch pirated at least twice.

>> Yeah, usually it happens after my birthday usually, but yeah, >> it's very strange. I don't know how it's going to work this year. My hope is that we can get something to review, but a lot of the stuff they've been sending us, it's been so close to release date that we don't have enough time because most of us have day jobs, we don't have time to watch screener links and stuff like that to be able to get the reviews done and get them posted properly. So hopefully we can at least get some form of normal because it's it's again I love doing our end of year show.

>> Yeah. And this year, I mean, what what have we maybe seen a handful of movies? >> I mean, just stuff we've seen on TV at home. >> Like My Spy, Bloodshot. I saw Bad Boys for Life, but it wasn't a screening. I saw Birds of Prey, but it wasn't a screening. I saw Charlie's Angels, but it wasn't a screening. >> I want to say that's the list. >> Yeah. Um >> I think Charlie's Angels was a year before, wasn't it? No, that was this year because I used my A-list for it, which I still haven't renewed yet.

>> I want to say I don't think I've done a single viewing of something new other than At Home. >> Let me see. >> I mean, my list may be five movies deep at this point. >> I've seen something on stage this year. Yeah. American Mariachi, Little Women, Once on This Island. >> Okay. >> That's what we've seen on stage in 2020. >> The mariachi you didn't even see live. Remember it was >> correct. It was It was wonderful. I loved it. It was my favorite of three. Okay. So this year, here's the 2022 film list from bottom to the top.

Number nine, I've only seen nine films this year that were new. Wendy, which the only reason it's ninth is because it's just not I was I enjoyed it, just not as special. Uh Blow the Man Down, which is very dark. Uh Birds of Prey, Bad Boys for Life, Bloodshot, My Spy, Burden was came in at three, Beasty Boy Story came in at two, and I still believe that's the list >> of your list. I've only seen two of those. and I still believe is that the Jeremy Camp story. >> Yeah. >> I mean, it's just it's so weird and I I want so badly to go back to the movie theater.

I'm just not ready. And there hasn't really been anything that they've shown that I've been like, "Oh, I need to see that in a theater." Like, we had a great time at Ragnarok showing Flash Gordon at a drive-in. And I have very much enjoyed going down and seeing uh Coming to America at the drive-in, even though it was in the middle of a monsoon. But there's just nothing right now. And I can't trust release dates. That's why we don't talk about them because they're going to keep getting moved. >> Yeah.

Like Tenant's still in there. How long would in real the for >> I don't know how long he's going to let that movie play cuz I feel like if you haven't seen Tenant by now, >> I haven't. >> But what else are they going to show? There's literally nothing else. >> Especially from a premium format standpoint. >> Yeah. How am I going to pay I don't want to pay 20 bucks to see Tenant. I'm sorry. I've been getting invited to a lot of screenings of, hey, come back to the theater, check out this thing you saw 10 years ago.

And it's like, don't get me wrong, great movies and great choices, but >> I mean, I wouldn't mind going to the theater to see Empire, but I can get it in really good resolution on Disney Plus right now, >> and I don't have to worry about anybody talking during it, >> and I'm not worried about my environment. And like, I appreciate what AMC is showing how much they're doing, but somebody brought up a really good point the other day. If I can't rely on a 16-year-old kid to properly clean a theater before this, how am I supposed to rely on them now?

>> He's walking through with a backpack with a sprayer on it. >> Yeah. >> You know, think about that. We've had now, if I'm not mistaken, come and gone of what was supposed to be the new Ghostbusters movie too. >> Black Widow, No Time To Die. >> Yeah, Tim is still in there. Still playing. >> It's got to be cuz ain't nothing else going on. Ain't nothing else going on unless it's a retro film >> like the amount The Angelica, The Last Shift, Tenant, Yellow Rose, The Exorcist Extended Cut. >> No, thank you.

>> Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. >> Actually, I think I know what my number one so far this movie in a limited list >> and Cuckoo I mean Coco >> the gentleman. >> I have not seen that. >> Oh, that's going to be on I'm DVRing this weekend. >> Oh, is that >> is that your is that the HBO premiere coming up or something like that? Oh, well, The Cats was the premiere yesterday. >> I taped it, but >> Oh, that's why HDTGM HDTGM was doing a live show with >> Hold on a second. I want you to listen to what he just said.

I DVRd it, but I'm >> No, no, you said I taped it. >> I I heard him say DVR. >> Taped I taped it. I said I I taped it. I cussed out call taping. >> I'd like to ask you a question, Don. Yeah. >> Why? >> I curiosity to see do it for the kids to make for the >> Okay, that one you don't even get to say you're doing it for THE KIDS BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO. TRYING TO GET MY WORST OF THE YEAR. >> NO, THERE IS NO WAY. >> HEY, HEY, I NEED SOMETHING FOR my worst of the year. >> Why do you think I watched song to Song when I bought it for you?

So I could have my worst of the year. >> I did watch Artemis. >> I haven't watched that yet cuz it went straight to Disney. >> I watched Song to Song after you did the review on DVD so I could have it for my worst of the year. >> Why did you? >> Because I was getting worse of the year films by the end of the year, >> man. I had to buy for you anyways because it's the gift is the tradition. >> Don, let me explain something to you. >> You don't have to do that. >> I did it for the kids. You choose.

>> No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. >> I chose. >> There are certain things we do for the kids. >> You buying me crappy movies that I have already seen on DVD, that's not for the kids. That is for your own weird, sick, twisted edification that nobody understands. >> It's tradition. But >> I will guarantee you this. >> Yeah. >> If you tell Faith >> Yeah. >> that you are going to watch the remake movie of Cats with her. Okay. >> And she does not know what she is getting into. >> Okay. Well, she won't.

>> You are going to be sleeping on my couch afterwards because you put her through that steaming turd. >> Not even the spare bedroom. I won't. >> No, she will kick you off the property. >> She'll put me outside by the pit boss. >> She might make you sleep in the driveway >> or by the pit boss. Outside. >> No, she won't even give you the pit boss. She's gonna take the pit boss and put it in the garage so you can't even get to it. >> Okay. I'M I'M DEBATING. >> YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED, SIR, that if you put her through that movie, >> Yeah.

>> there will be ramifications. And Faith, I want you to hear me. >> I want you to listen to me right now. I have warned your husband. If you are watching this show, before he gets to you, do not let him make you watch cats. It unless he's showing you cat videos on YouTube. The human if it's cats and Taylor Swift and Dame Judy Dench and other people that I don't even names. I don't even want to put on this. >> Ian Mckel, >> if it happens, go ahead and tell him to pack a bag now. But Tuesday is my birthday.

I can make her watch MY >> NO, YOU CANNOT. >> I don't even get the birthday thing. >> No. >> Oh, no. >> Okay. All right. >> I would like to put an overunder when he does watch this movie. I'm going to set that over under. And I don't even know how long that piece of crap is. The overunder is 25 minutes of how much I could watch. >> Correct. >> Actually, I'm going to I I want to take this bet. I bet he likes it. >> There's no way. There is no way. I have more faith in Don Ford than that. >> Okay, here's the thing.

>> I know people who watched it and enjoyed it and I question their sanity, but I bet he likes it. >> There's no way. >> I'll give you this. I will watch it and I'll give you this. Hold on. Let me check. Um, I'll give you what I call in my cousin, my best friend. Okay. >> Because in in Colorado, Jason Ford, a Steeler Promise, he will tell you, I've he's a Steeler fan. I've never >> You will not You will not say you like this film just for the sake of the film. You will give your honest opinion. >> I will watch into that.

And if I like it, I will give it up to Alex. If I hate it and it's it's steaming turd, I'll let you know. And I can give a still I'll do my reviewership on it. I will be like, >> "How long does it take him to realize I just want to make him do this so he watches it?" Who's going to get to the 30 minute mark and he's going to go, "Uh, honey, where are the CS? Cuz I'm going to need one." >> I I'll I'll what? I'll I'll let the fantastic faith forward know your warning. And I'll see if she wants to be daring and sit in with me.

>> I would like to do my impersonation of Faith throughout this entire film. >> Sorry, hun. Sorry. >> That's going to be her for an hour and 50 minutes. >> And it's just going to be the response of no papa for you. >> Yeah. Yeah. No, >> you you will lose your puff puff daddy status if you make her watch this film. I am telling you, I watched the trailer and said, "What in the name of all things good and holy is this nightmare fuel?" Now, Fat Man completely different. Don't Google that. >> Oh, Don, promise me you're not googling Fat Man because I want your unbiased.

No, I'm I'm trying to get on. >> And you wasted DVR space on that. >> I had it. It was there. Hold on. Cats actually 20%. So there's people that actually like cats. >> I'M AWARE THAT IN FIVE, DON. >> NO, I'M LOOKING AT ROTTEN TOMATOES RIGHT NOW. >> 20% IS ONE IN FIVE. >> I KNOW. >> MATH. SORRY. >> Out of 318 critics. >> That means what? 60 of them. >> Yeah. >> How many of them are worth their weight and salt? How many of them are like shows movie reviews.com? >> No, no, no. Forget that. We're not digging that because people could say the same about us.

MY QUESTION I AGREE. >> MY QUESTION, how many of them are sober? >> I don't Richard Brody from the New York the movie cats is, forgive the critical jargon, pretty good. >> The Atlantic, David Sims. Whether you think the Imagery is beautiful or nightmarish, this is a film that imagery on imagery. >> This is This is a film that demands to be looked at. >> LOOKED AT >> USA TODAY. >> THAT'S NOT EVEN A REVIEW. >> DAVID OLIVER from USA Today. The movie is outlandish and sexual and confusing, but that doesn't make it A BAD MOVIE.

>> YES, IT DOES. >> IN FACT, I'M GOING TO CALL IT >> THAT IS THE VERY DEFINITION. >> IN FACT, I'M going to call it a good movie. To be fair, he did find major outlets. USA Today, The Atlantic, The New Yorker. I'm sorry. >> And none of them were actually positive reviews. It was >> Well, I can't say I didn't like it. That's what all of those actually said. Morning Herald. >> None of them. Sunday Morning Herald. WHERE IS THAT? OMAHA. >> SYDNEY. >> IS THAT PADUKA KENTUCKY? >> HOW DARE YOU BISMER? WELL, WHILE IT'S far from being perfect or even perfect.

>> OKAY, STOP RIGHT THERE. NOTHING AFTER THAT. NOTHING AFTER THAT HAS CREDIBILITY. NOTHING. And I own cats and I not the movie actual. I have two cats in my life. >> It doesn't warrant abuse that has been heaped upon it. At the very least, it deserves a chance. >> It deserves A CHANCE. >> THAT'S NOT A POSITIVE REVIEW. >> It deserves a chance. >> That you know what THAT TRANSLATES TO? THAT TRANSLATES to I want you to be tortured like I was tortured for an hour AND 50 MINUTES. THAT'S what that means.

>> I can't wait for your review. >> Are you insane? >> And I'll give a fair review. >> Okay. Uh, from the mayor. >> Stop. Stop. Dead horse. Dead horse. Dead horse. >> Yeah. Lots of dead horse. Stop scrolling. Dead horse. >> If you have the choice of watching that movie or as the great Richard Jenny once said, giving birth to a porcupine on fire, TAKE THE SECOND OPTION. IT'S LESS PAINFUL. >> I think I take Cats Over the Porcupine on fire. But >> you know, Don said it has 20% on Rotten Tomatoes, right?

>> Yes. >> The film is flat. >> Let's compare that. >> BUT IT'S IS there a Rotten Tomatoes on Porcupine on Fire? >> No, I'm an IMDb. >> Its wrongness is wor It wrongness is never less than mesmerizing. user reviews and 233 critic reviews. Its popularity has dropped 645 on okay 2.8 out of 10 from 36,881 rankings on on IMDb. So, for the record, there are 7 thou roughly 7,000 audience reviews of cats on Rotten Tomatoes. 53%. I got to give this last one. A deranged freak Fantasia worth falling into for a couple hours just to say you did.

That is to say, it's Cats. Signed, Tommy Wizo. >> You like big movie about cats. We have lots of movies of cats. Oh, that's another movie that got pushed back, isn't it? Big Shark. >> Oh, >> Big Shark. >> Baby Shark. >> I just I >> I don't even know what to say that he DVR this movie. >> Don't worry, I took away the microphone. >> Didn't decide not didn't want to do it on HBO Max. Didn't think about maybe I'll STREAM IT ON NETFLIX. HE went out of his way to record this movie on his DVR. But you have to remember he doesn't have the ability for HBO Max or anything because he just keeps asking us for our password and we're not giving it to him.

>> He has that one he has. >> I have that one. >> That one has that one he has. But it's not >> I just want I just want your Disney X uh no your Disney password. >> Name. >> Nope. Nope. Nope. >> For as cheap as it is, you can get it yourself. And you know what? You know that money you like to spend on terrible stuff for us for Christmas? >> Yeah. >> Put it towards Disney. >> There you go, man. Gary's point. Uh Mortal Kombat 11. Did you see the new download pack? >> The picture thing I got you. I mean, come on.

I don't remember picture. >> Do you see the download packet they they're getting ready to release? >> I know. I saw it, but it's eluding me right now. >> Molina will be a new playable character. >> Mhm. >> Rain will be a new playable character. >> Mhm. >> And there's one more. >> That's the one I remember seeing. >> Hit your first blood. >> Yep. >> Hit your first blood. >> Rambo will be available as a playable character for Mortal Kombat 11. >> I'm a port over from TJ Striker. >> Who cares? Awesome.

So, if you are a customer of AT&T TV now, I would like to tell you a story. >> Oh, here we go. >> Uhoh. >> Let me get >> Let me get comfortable. >> Grandpa rock story time. >> Not good. >> I have been a customer >> of AT&T TV now for about two and a half years. >> Day one. >> Not day one. Oh, >> no. Because I know people that were doing beta testing for it. >> Well, I don't consider that. That's negative. It was Mother's Day two years ago because it was the same day that I bought my laptop >> because I did it all the same day.

Got a free Apple TV with it, which I am giving away to a dear friend because he needs it. I enjoyed it at first. I liked that I didn't have to worry about having a set top box. There were some channels missing. I haven't had the CW in two and a half years, but I'm not worried about it because the Berlantiverse, I'm so far behind, it doesn't matter. And their app only goes back four weeks and Riverdale's gone off the deep end. But I noticed earlier this year that number one, they never rolled out the bigger DVR, so I only had 20 hours worth of DVR space.

>> The one that had been promised time and time again. >> Correct. >> I also noticed some issues with Apple TV. where if I was trying to watch something on delay because I like to do that so I can skip commercials >> it would just out of nowhere go from wherever I was it would start spinning its wheels and then it would go to live and when you're trying to watch stuff like Smackdown that's very anti counterproductive >> I also noticed that on my remote the 15-second skip stopped working on everything >> so I was a little confused So, I went to my local AT&T store and wonderful people.

By the way, Main Street 121 in Lewisville/The Colony. Shout out to that AT&T store. They were amazing. Great customer service. I don't like the fact that, and it wasn't their fault. We've been paying for data for over two years on two tablets that we've never used. And you can't do that at the store. You have to call customer retention to have that taken off. Now, talking to customer retention, they were able to do that quickly. However, you can't get it canceled and prorated. You just have it to the end of your billing cycle now.

So, be aware of that. >> Yeah. >> So, I go to the AT&T store and we're talking about things. I'm like, "Hey, man. Can I talk to you about my AT&T TV now?" And the guy looks at me and he goes, "You still have that?" >> Yeah. I was like, "Really?" He's like, "Yeah, I got it on my phone, but let me get somebody to help you here." So, he brings over, I guess, his supervisor, team leader, whatever. And she's like, "Yeah, we don't support that anymore. So, if you have AT&T TV now, understand it ain't going to get any better.

So, all the bugs that you're seeing, especially on Apple TV, they're not going to change. What you need to do is you have to switch to what used to be Universe and is now just called AT&T TV. There's it's not the same. There's AT&T TV now and there's AT&T TV. So, we have switched to AT&T TV. With that, you get one set top box, which is just basically a a glorified Roku. Problem with that is I can't get Hulu. It's telling me that Hulu is not compatible with that version. It's Android TV is what it is, >> but I have HBO Max, even though it's technically a chcast.

>> Gain loss, >> but I don't now have HBO Max in the living room because I have a Roku in the living room cuz I took the Apple TV out. >> Mhm. So, Thursday night, I'm either going to have to run it off my laptop to the TV or we just watch it in the back bedroom because my wife has a Roku in the other bedroom, too. >> Weird question. >> Mhm. >> Does it work on Fire Stick? >> I'm assuming >> because those are usually pretty cheap and you could just for HBO Max. >> I'm not worried about all that because I only have two inputs on that TV and the other one goes to the Blu-ray player.

>> Okay. And that's an older Blu-ray player so it doesn't have downloadable apps. It just has whatever it comes with. Yeah, it has it has its basics >> because it has its b it's Sony basics that I don't think exist anymore, but it's got Netflix on it, so I got that. But Netflix is on the on the Android TV, too. >> Yeah, >> I like it. There's a little bit of a learning curve to it. I like that I have the Google Assistant in the remote that I can just do like the the Apple one does. >> But I I mean I'm I'm paying a little bit more a month, but I'm also I'm also got their what they call the premiere package.

So now I've got HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Epics, where before it you have to order all of those all a cart and it would have cost me probably another 30 bucks a month on top of what I'm paying now. So it's not a bad deal. I like it. I don't have to have set top boxes either because it's because it is literally an app and you can have three consecutive streams versus the two that were on AT&T TV now. But if I wanted to pay a little bit more, it would have been five, but I don't need five consecutive streams, >> right?

So, I was able to watch, like I said earlier, I was able to watch Smackdown on the TV in the back bedroom and then stream the football pregame on my laptop, which I'm glad it was muted because I love Clarissa Thompson, but who she's got with her on the Fox Pre pregame, it's a tough deal. It's like Dave Wanat, Tony Gonzalez, Mike Vic, and one other person, and I can't remember who it was. I never watch it. >> But I was like, "What is I hope this is the pre pregame because there's no way they replaced, you know, Jimmy wasn't there, >> right?" >> But Jimmy, they went cut to Jimmy wherever he was, and he's got a picture of the Dolphins GM on to his right and Jay-Z to his left and like one of these kids is doing his own thing.

But I like it. Uh, it's got 500 hours of DVR space. >> That's always a bonus. >> So, I got that going for me. But it'll only carry stuff for 90 days, >> which I'm wondering if that's a setting or something that the >> It's not. >> Okay. >> It's standard in there. >> It's a purge >> because I've dug through it. >> Yeah. >> I just don't know how long I can keep how many episodes because one of my problems with AT&T TV now was if I had like more than five episodes of Jeopardy, they just drop off. >> That was one I know you could change, but you had to go into your account.

>> I couldn't find it. Yeah, I I found it on the actual AT&T app >> that would adjust it. >> Maybe it's on the app. I'll have to look that up and see. >> Yeah. >> Uh any other >> My AT&T. >> Anything that we're missing that we need to talk about this week? >> No, I don't think we have anything very big, especially with tech talk or anything along those lines. Uh quick note for anybody that's about to tune in to Sunday Night Football after uh we wrap up here. Fair warning, don't adjust your TV sets.

The Seahawks are wearing their neon yellow. Oh, they're wearing they're wearing the the World League jerseys that the Orlando Storm used to wear. Uh, looks like update. Uh, Dak has a fractured right ankle. >> Oh, it's also dislocated. Guaranteed. >> They're saying Cowboys announced Dak Prescott suffered a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle and will undergo surgery tonight. >> No, right ankle was what his foot was at. >> Ankle, I'm sorry. But he will undergo surgery tonight. >> Uh, again, happy early birthday, Don.

Hope you have a great great birthday. Happy absolute early birthday to Alex because he will be out on assignment next week because I will never argue with anything that Shawn has planned for Alex because I know better and I enjoy breathing. Uh because she would strangle me if if I tried to take you away from her. >> That's fair. And I still don't know what it is. So, we're going to find out. >> It's going to be a great surprise. If I know anything about Sean, she does know how to plan things for you.

Well, I think she's setting me up for disappointment with today where I made the she made the joke of like, "Well, what do you want?" And I was like, "I don't know. I'm kind of hitting the age where I'm like, "Pick a bill." So, she looked and found literally the cheapest bill that I have and was like, "Yeah, I paid that. >> I paid your Disney Plus for this month." >> No, that's prepaid. No, she found the card, the the credit card she had me signed up for and paid the $25 or whatever it was. So, it's like just one of those follow-ups of just >> Okay.

>> But but the fact that she asked >> IF SHE'S WATCHING, SHE'S MAD. >> IT JUST CAME IN. >> By the way, the Fantastic F, you talk about bad gifts. The Fantastic Forge already got you a Christmas gift already. >> Okay. How far can I kick it? >> Uh, I don't know. I >> But Sean knows how much I love her and the fact that she's got stuff planned for you is I'm I'm excited to hear because she hasn't told me. So, I don't know. So, I'm looking forward to what see what she's got planned for you next. Thank you for the definitely >> and um >> for the gift that me and a fantastic for >> like I said I'll tell you how much it is off air >> but I also want to before we leave tonight in all seriousness all seriousness aside >> well no probably all kidding aside joking aside yeah u and this is real this is not a bit Alex actually saved my sanity last week >> I'm sorry what >> last week was was last week it wasn't n't a bad week.

It was just a long week for me. There was a lot going on. Um, I got to do a lot of really cool stuff that I've been looking forward to doing, but it was the execution of it was it was a big project and I want to make sure you understand, dude, that you really helped me through that. Uh, otherwise I would have lost my mind about halfway through. >> Yeah. You me and sanity don't usually go together well. >> But I didn't say you had it. I said you helped me keep it. >> Exactly. But but seriously, dude, like you really did a lot for me this week and you do normally do a lot for me, but I wanted to make sure you understood that this week specifically, like you really really helped me game keep my perspective on everything that was going on and just kind of helped me get to the finish line.

Uh, I really really had a great time this past week on the projects that we've been working on. Good >> and to see everything come to fruition and the way it did. Uh, that that we were able to get everything done in a timely manner. Uh, my support staff at work has been amazing. my upline and my peers have really helped me out getting me through this project. And uh I just wanted to acknowledge them all publicly because without that level of support, there's no way that it would have come and gone the way it did.

And I'm sure Sean was very annoyed with me at me talking to you for multiple times on end. And I want to apologize to her because I did take you away from probably stuff she had planned for you a couple of different times. But, uh, just thanks, man. Like, I you have no idea how much I appreciate you. And I know I say that all the time, but it it is true. >> It's it's a two-way street. >> So, all right, let's do the plugs and get out of here.
