I mean, here's everything he doubled down that he got right.
Remy Malek, Marcella Ali, Regina King into the spider verse, Roma for best.
Cinematography, Black Panther for costume design, Alfonso Cuaron for director, Bohenian Rhapsody for film editing, Roma for foreign language, vice for makeup, shallow for best picture of the song.
I think everybody picked that except Don deviated on his should win.

And actually her mom was there and from what it sounded like it's the first time her mom's ever made it to one of her Vegas performances.
So yeah.
But did they say it was a good show?
Oh, yeah.
And then this I think they didn't even get to sit together.
Is that why they enjoyed it so much?
I'm thinking that may have had a little to do with that.
But then again, it wasn't me.

But there was never a point where I had to tell her to stop
and take a breath or whatever.
We just, she just got it done.
And it came out really, really well.

I was good the whole time.

I had a great time, David, some DJ, and I did some DJing.
I almost killed my DJ deck as I spilled my soda all over the table.

Just had such an amazing, such a great time.
And I said last night in my Facebook live, the most encouraging thing to me
about yesterday was we had a handful of people that came in,
that didn't know who we were.
They came in because they saw it on Godfather Inc's social media and
website and came in and wanted to support the cause.
And that was awesome.
We had 20 people come get tattoos yesterday.
On top of that, we had a bunch of people give us cash donations as well.
I'm holding on to the total until we know for sure.
I think I know what it is, but I don't want to oversell it.
For those of you that came by and got a tattoo,
and we'll sign up for the raffle.
We will be identifying those winners later this week.
We got some amazing things we're raffling off.
Even one of the artists there donated some stuff.
Very cool.
We got Rachel brought some bobble heads.
We got some signed CDs by a local band.
We got a couple of nice looking paintings.
A friend of the show, Brent Peoples brought me a couple of
Harley Quinn's that he did that are individually numbered.
Oh, I miss.
So it's like I also gave me excuse to see my little brother on Friday night,
which is awesome.
We had such an amazing time.
I'm ready to do it again next year.
So we might be back there soon.
Sooner than next year.
That was going to be my next day.
We have a board meeting this Saturday.
But I don't want to put anything out there until we have our board meeting on Saturday.
Which is fair.

A couple of interesting ideas came up yesterday.
Just understand that the big show is the weekend of December 14th to the 13th and 14th.
But we're going to be doing a lot of stuff between now and then.
Because we want we want who need sleep to be fresh in your mind when you're thinking about charity.
So we're going to have our name out there a lot more this year.
Just an incredible time.
The weather didn't didn't dampen anybody's spirits.
Granted, we had to bring everything inside.
It's not a very big place, but we made it work.
And it sounds like there was a very well-earned title on the wall.

We were having a good time.

You know, it wasn't packed, but there was just a steady flow of people.
And that exceeded my expectations, which was awesome.

Rewind the clock okay to about what we say three and a half weeks ago. It's been longer
I thought I think that was mid-February okay. Yeah, it was I think it was February 10th or it's but at the same time. It's

Point this part out missing an event because there's a lot of fans that want to go
Totally okay with totally on board with that. I have zero problem. I wanted this to succeed

What we're talking about is back in the day when you wanted to go to a concert

You lined up outside the box office because the internet wasn't a thing kids
There was a time when there was no internet
So an example with this would be when I was in college my freshman year of college
I was at the University of South Florida and the guy that lives next door to me in the dorm
Guy been named Maddie Landine who is still a friend of mine on Facebook to this day big fan of that guy
He was a huge YouTube fan huge YouTube fan
Well, the zoo TV tour which was from octane baby kicked off in Lakeland, which was about an hour and a half
South East of Tampa, but it's a nice drive from there
And it was just weird that the Lakeland Civic Center was the kickoff for a you to tour that is a valid point
So the day before the tickets went on sale it was Valentine's Day actually I
My girlfriend at the time told me I could not stay there with him the entire day because it was Valentine's Day
And I was thankful because she bought us tickets for Wayne's World
Wayne's World opened on Valentine's Day in 1992
That's right. I said it. I remember that. Oh, I was nice
So I spent most of the day day there because she was in class all day. I didn't have Friday classes
So we got up in the morning and we went out there
We sat in line. It was this great communal experience. We were you know
Play it throw in the football around not in tuxedos
You're welcome internet and just having a great time
But you stood in line and when the tickets went on sale you got to the box office and you bought your tickets and
That was where best available came what is the best available when you get there now
Back then you had ticket brokers is what they're called. That's not yeah, that's it make that up as we call them
Who would pay people to stand in line and buy as many tickets as they possibly could and
Then resell them at a higher rate and the good tickets
Mm-hmm, and even sometimes they were the the higher seats and you were paying for what other people were paying for floor seats
Like right the markup was insane
But it was kind of an accepted evil
Because it was also a smaller
focal point of it. There was harder to catch. Yeah
Well, then the internet comes along at post pearl jam going to war with ticket master
Who would have known that they would be the voice or reason?
Nope, you're welcome
So in the internet age what we have now is we have these ticket brokers that have now gone online
And they have created this thing they call they're called bots and what bots do is they're automated
Programs that get in before the public can somehow we're not crying a lot of times there's theory
Well, no, a lot of time about gotta be showed about a month ago
There's a lot of times that there is a pre-sale for larger events where you have to they try to weed it out
When in fact it winds up working in the opposite effects a lot of times because you sign up for the pre-sale because it usually requires you to
Click something that says I am not a robot or something along those lines, but it's just clicking
So at the same time is they try to weed out or make sure that
Quote unquote real fans are signed up for the pre-sale to then purchase tickets and get first dibs versus somebody who just stumbles across it
now one of the original ideas for this was
wanting to make sure you had real fans up close to the stage
One of the earlier adopters of this was Billy Joel where he was like I want people that are gonna be singing along
I want people that are gonna be into the concert if we're recording this
I want them front row so it looks like everybody's into it whether or not they are
We don't want people to just have enough money to sit there and just wind up, you know

Basically a code to be in a waiting room to be called on to get the tickets. Mm-hmm
30 minutes of waiting toward the tickets to become available in line
With the range selected of on the floor
To anywhere up through the first bowl
And I was told there were no tickets
six minutes in
And you know what the funny part is
They supposedly held tickets back for the regular sale allegedly allegedly
I was in that one in three minutes
No tickets available in the upper deck

But guess what I found oh I know what you found yeah, uh you were messaging me. I was living
Oh, I was so livid because I and I I will say this and I want to reiterate over and over again
If there's that many fans that were willing to jump on it
I'm totally okay missing the event
The problem is you in some cases there was yes in some cases there but you have
dozens of tickets
Being marked up ridiculous levels on multiple sites and even people on social media going hey
I had no interest but I was able to get in because opportunity and now they're charging
The biggest markup and I honestly I should have just tried to shoot for ringside first and worked backwards
Instead of leaving that wide of a gap for it to work on
And those tickets at least right now there is one set of them going for well
They're not going anywhere because
Thankfully people aren't paying it
$5,700 for $200 tickets
Oh my gravy. Okay, so then I pivoted and it was telling Rob
You know what maybe I'll get into a VIP package or something
It'll be like 200 bucks a piece or something like that
The seats will be further back but you have your own entrance or whatever
Those are now available for about 3,300
And it's one and the problem exists
That people will still pay for it. That's the problem here
That's what I'm but what I'm worried about is that they won't
I'm more worried that people won't pay that but there's the pro of

Scared and say just absolutely gouging people

You price them to wear one ticket covers you for everything exactly and the funny part is they were better worked up from all in

Getting to go to a concert and when you're a true fan
Versus I have to take out a second mortgage on my house
Because I'm a true fan. There's a huge difference
And these ticket brokers aren't helping it any because part of the reason the prices are growing up
It's because the artists are hoping well maybe then the ticket brokers can't jack it up enough
Or they're also if the ticket broker can make 50 on my tickets
Why don't I just charge 50 in the first place that that's what people are willing to pay
And it's a vicious cycle that has no end in sight
And the other hard part you have is with the
bands artists companies however you want to look at it
Do they really care on the financial side
Because you're looking at it and it's like for them
It's a sell out. It's a success. It's a great story
But the problem is is then you get to the event and your venues have full yeah
And you're going to move people down and wrote and just
Sheet off. It's H-E-E-T off sections of your arena
And you know nxt when they came to town in november is another prime example
Yep, we were gonna try to get tickets because egg nxt was playing at gillies
And we know how much we enjoy that venue in the way it's set up and it's nxt
tickets went on sale

And again this perpetuates the problem

But they happen weekly they've always happened weekly other than very very select situations

This problem where the venues have been half empty and it looks terrible for business
But WWE still making a good amount of money now one of the problems that WCW had way back in the day was they lost money every time they went out on tour

Well, how would WWE be making money yet? They're filling less of an arena that WCW was in times
So at the same time you're wondering are these brokers the ones buying these half empty seats? Absolutely

Now you have a situation where they could easily argue

Yep, and that way you don't see and you're fine

Because I've been to more than one event at the American Airlines Center for WWE where we were on camera side
And you could you know you could throw a rock across a section and not hit a soul
Because they made sure that the side that the cameras were pointing out were full to make it look more full

Because the problem is is for the and I understand this from the talent aspect in order for them to solve anything on it
They would have to say I don't care as much about selling out a venue

But I think the only way that there's going to be a solution to this is if not the venue

Don't get any money unless there's as the Southwest Airlines motto is buts and seats or

But they'll put a stop to the ticket broker
They'll find a way to put it to stop to the ticket brokers if they're not going to make money
