Oh yeah, it is 701 on the east coast, it is 401 on the west coast, it is the 8th
of July and the year of our Lord 2018. Season 8, episode 44, 447 times this voice has welcomed
you to the clubhouse podcast, whether you're listening live on you stream, at least for the
next three episodes, or if you're listening on our archive, for maybe 30 days after that,
we don't even know. Or if you subscribe in your favorite podcast app, we don't care how you listen,
we're just glad you're here. Welcome. My name is Rob. I am the executive producer of the clubhouse
podcast and I'm a year older than I was the last time we did this thing. We'll talk about that here
in a minute. I am not alone as I rarely am for this show. It's only happened once sitting across
from me in the co-host chair is my co-host and a man who always has big trouble when he's in
little China. He is Chad. Welcome, sir. Well played, sir. Very well played. That's how I roll.
Sitting next to him is the lady of the house and she's feeling pretty lucky, or she's telling
somebody else they're feeling pretty lucky. I can't decide. She is General. Welcome, friend.
Hello, everyone, and it's that you're lucky because I'm here. Oh, well, write that down.
That's that that's what the shirt saying. Running out the days is the newest member of the cast,
and a man that believes that new day Funko rocks. He is Alex. Welcome, sir. But they do. They do. They do
on many levels. Don is on vacation. He's out on assignment this week in Pittsburgh. He and
Faith are up there having a great time. Got a little buffet in yesterday. They've already been to
promenny brothers. He has not told me if Faith was able to finish the sandwich yet, but we all know
their food is excellent, absolutely excellent. I agree with you. All right, so
again, thank you for everybody that came out last week for Ragnarok 2018. Raise a little bit of
money for who needs sleep. We're going to talk about that tonight as well. Had a great time
out there at CiderK. Thanks to everybody out of CiderK for having us. Alex brought home some
Cider himself. We'd like them to fix the parking issues out there. A little bit. Multiple.
Still had a great time. I got to play Hogan's Alley, which I haven't paid about 25 years.
Boy, Dave got through the gun through the screen. I forgot how much I hate it this game.
And I did get to play Iron Maiden pinball. That's because he had such an easy time beating me at
Joe's. And they had Houdini, which made me happy. And they also had a total nuclear annihilation,
which I'm also a big fan of. That was a lot of fun. But not as much fun as Killer Queen.
Yeah, that was a lot of fun. If you have a group of 10 people, do yourself a favor,
go down to the CiderK and play Killer Queen. And they have a tournament for it every Monday night.
Thank you. Okay, I was looking for it. We got to look into that. I'm in. I'm in as well.
Because apparently I still have too much freedom.
All right, some corrections or updates from our last episode. We talked about Fran Drescher.
She was married to a man named Shiva Ayadurai, who was the known as the inventor of email,
but they separated in 2016. And apparently that that marriage was never really fully official.
Oh, really? Yeah. But before that, she was married to Peter Mark Jacobson, who was the co-creator of the
Nanny for 21 years. And then that's when she had the spin-off. Yeah, the show that was there. Yeah.
The Royals won the World Series in 2015. So three years ago, not two. And we talked about
the AMC Stub's A-Lis. It is only one user at a time. No split tickets. Correct.
That's kind of what I figured. And they are asking for three months up front on that. But
friend of the show Marcus Blake, he has an account and he says it's going very swimmingly.
So I may have to look into that at some points.
All right, so let's start as we always do with NASCAR. Talk NASCAR this weekend, next weekend,
both running on Saturday. So yesterday was... Why don't they ever put the name of the race
on the race page? I have to look it up. Yesterday was the Coke Zero Sugar 400. You should not have
had to look that up. I am endorsing this race. I am endorsing this race. It was a Daytona.
I guess the Coca-Cola at 400 is just now the Coke Zero because maybe the cars are lighter? I don't
know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
As he says, enjoying it. Thank you, Chad, for being our sounds. I'm going on this side of the table.
Drinking a diet. Oh, I should have probably done that, huh?
Come on! You're welcome. All right, so your top 10 finishers from yesterday's race
in 10th place in the 88 Chevrolet, Alex Bowman, hitting the Bullseye. He started in second,
but he wanted to have in 10th. Nah, maybe not so much. Starting in 10th, winding up in 9th,
he's the new sheriff in town on the number three Chevrolet, Austin Dillon, Ryan Hadoon, Newman,
started in 7th place, winds up in 8th and the number 32, Chevrolet. Starting in 31st and winding
up in 7th. It's Benadetto. Benadetto. Benadetto. What the hell? I don't know if he's related to Tony or not.
Come to me a day. If you come to me a day. Wait, do you want me to get you a cotton ball? No,
number 6th place in the number 13 Chevrolet starting in 19th, winding up in 6th, country sensation,
Ty Dillon. Starting in 25th place, winding up in 5th, number 37, Chevrolet. Chris Bucher.
Bucher. Who are all these people that are all of a sudden in NASCAR? Did I miss something?
I guess so. I'm not recognizing any of these jokers there. Let's see, and starting out in 28th
and winding up, what do we have like huge wrecks yesterday? At least people like starting in 940th
and finishing in 3rd. What is going on? Starting in 25th and winding up in 5th, we got Bucher there.
Starting in 28th, winding up in 4th and the number 95 Chevrolet, Casey Kane? We know that name,
at least. Finally, we'll recognize. In the bronze medal position, starting in 24th, winding
up in 3rd and number 47, Chevrolet, AJ Almond Dinger. I feel like we need to change his reference.
Maybe he hits a lot of home runs. He sounds like a candy bar to me.
Starting in 13th and winding up in 2nd, in the number 78 Toyota Martin Truex Jr. and winning the race,
starting in 29th and winning race, getting 5 playoff points in the number 20 Toyota. Eric Jones.
You want a fun one with that? Look at how many laps he led. I've already clicked out of there.
Okay, he led only the last lap. When he counts. Exactly, you win at the end.
Let's see, in your point standings right now, if the point off starting today, your odd man out would
be one Paul Menard. He has 371 points out of first place. And he is 36 points behind Ricky
Stenhouse Jr. I feel like he should have a chain of restaurants. No, come on down to Ricky Stenhouse
barbeque. Something had to fill the void for Kenny Rogers Roasters. I'm seeing more of a thirst
in Howell, the third. Excuse me, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Yeah, that's what I heard.
Actually, I think of it when we were if he had a kid. Excuse me, I introduce you to Ricky Stenhouse
the third. Little Ricky. Oh god, that's another mistake. Let's see. So Stenhouse Jr. is 19 points behind
Alex Bowman. Bowman is 18 points back on Chase Elliott, attorney in law. Is that it? Or is he
the new sheriff in town? Austin Dylan's a new sheriff in town, yeah. My reference is you think I
would know. Elliott is four points behind this week's winner, Eric Jones. Jones is 13 points back
on seven times seven times seven times seven times seven times seven times seven times champ Jimmy
Johnson. Not that Jimmy Johnson. Johnson is 35 points back on the man. We call the stone Ryan Blaney
Blaney is seven points back on Eric Almerola. He is not on a roll. Almerola is 35 points back on
Denny Hamlin. Moons over is what they call him. He is six points back on Kyle Larson, your other
attorney at law. Larson is 22 points back on Kurt who is 18 points back on Clint Boehler. Boehler
is two points back on Brad Keselowski. Peselowski is 22 points back on Joey. He is 11 points back on
Truex Jr. Truex is 63 points back on Harvick. Harvick is now, well, you think that's bad. Harvick
is 57 points back on Kyle. But it's like, dude, just get to the dance because the points reset
once you get to the playoffs. And for those you play in the home game, we're like two months
from the playoffs. It's weird. I think we could just start it. Yeah, right. So again, we're racing
on Saturday this week at Kentucky Speedway with the Quaker State 400 presented by Walmart.
I did not know there was a connection there, Mr. Obvious. It seemed inevitable. So,
and that will be at 7.30 p.m. Eastern on NBCSN. Then the Bixen. I don't know. I guess
nothing. Is that how that goes? Exactly how that goes. All right, kids. I feel like we've done
our two diligence. All right. Good night, everybody. No, we're not lazy tonight because this is our
season eight finale. You believe that, sir? No. This just show is about to turn eight years old this
week. Not only do we turn eight years old this week, we will hit our 400th. I tune, I'm sorry,
iTunes exclusive this week before we get to next week is next week's extreme rules. And this
is a nine season premiere. So we're, can we finally take the training wheels off this bike?
They'll never be. You met the guy that runs this show. Just being optimistic. No.
No. Okay. Okay. Sorry. All right. Let's give it a TV talk. So tonight is the premiere of Sharp
Objects on HBO with the Amy Adams and an All Star cast and based on a book by the same author
of Gone Girl. If I'm not mistaken. And every episode of this limited series will end with a PSA
urging people that feel that they might have mental health issues to seek help.
Wow. Because that plays a role in this series. So I like the social awareness here.
But they're pretty much telling you up front. Not exactly going to be a lighthearted show. Have you
seen the trailer? No. To your god. No, I haven't. If you're in too good of a mood, this will fix that.
Oh, I'm just saying. I think I'll be again by the author of Gone Girl. Yeah, yeah, that's kind of sum it up.
If you're not in too good of a mood, you may want to table this for another time.
Maybe binge that down the road a little bit.
I don't know that it's one that needs binging. I mean, with PSA, you may need to take a few days
between episodes on this one. And John Oliver off for the next couple of weeks.
Yeah. Alex, sorry. I was just looking at part of the potential spoilers. So if you want to
give a countdown on that one, I think you got to give me a better see where I'm going here.
Believe me, I'm shocked by what I just read. Spoiler in.
Three, two, one.
Good. Playing on the mental health aspect, every title for each episode are words that a character
has carved into her skin. Yeah, all right. So the light hearted going. No!
But mental health is a real issue and please seek help if you think you do.
Absolutely. I agree with you fully and wholeheartedly. And they were on one of the talk shows on
her in Patricia Clarkson, the place where mother and we're on one of the big talk shows on
Friday and they were saying that, you know, this is a very dark subject matter and so they had to
kind of go and have a little happy hour afterwards some days just to kind of get things back to normal.
So this is going to be some pretty heavy stuff to be prepared for that.
And it's also a test run for HBO's eight episode format that they've started to tinker with
Game of Thrones. Okay, with that. Totally okay with that. And I did. I had caught up on Westworld
and friend of the show Brad Zable, I think put it best. I am enjoying what I'm watching, although
I have no idea what's going on right now. No interest. I've punched out. I mean, this is the way
this season ended and they had a not just a post-credit scene, a full-blown post-credit scene
in the season finale. The 90-minute season finale, let me also say. I was like, oh.
Okay. Yeah, I'm out. That's disappointing too, because I was really dig in the first
season. I mean, I'm enjoying it. Don't get me wrong. I'm just very, very confused right now.
So I don't need that in my life. Did you hear about this great,
brillante thing? Apparently they came down about a month ago. I just heard about today.
No. And a fat man on Batman. Warner Bros. Television paying him for $100 million to stick
around and develop television. He's. Well, according to Bernardin, that's what they're paying him.
That's not like the budgets for his shows. That's what they're paying. That's his salary?
Good work. Not for a year probably, but overall multi-visit. That's the worth of his contract.
Yeah. Okay. Oh, Lee still. That's insane. Speaking of Kevin Smith and things he's related to,
AMC has cancelled comic book men. Oh, really? Yeah, 96 episodes. Shoot. So. But he's got
another one he's going into. Well, we'll see. He's got a lot of things that he's got in the
pipe and sometimes they hit and sometimes they don't. Well, there's one that's been being pushed.
That's. Of a store. With a particular product, you can buy in specific states, but you cannot buy it.
Oh, yeah. No, I know that they've shot the they've shot the pilot for that. Yeah.
They allegedly got picked up by who? I don't exactly know all the top of my head,
but I will take a look. That doesn't sound like AMC fair. No, I want to say I am as on or maybe
IFC. I don't know why that might have been. So this. So this last season of the this season of
comic book men as it's the final. Yep. Yep. Has it had his season finale? Oh, absolutely.
Like two months ago. Okay. So it's the season finale was them getting their themselves.
The comic book men being immortalized by Funko as they open their brick and mortar store in
Washington. Okay. Great looking store. Another reason for me to go to Washington.
Good way to go out. I guess. Yep. Let's see Netflix has announced season two of Castlevania will
debut in October. Has anybody watched that? I have not. Sorry. Could you repeat that?
I was the Castlevania animated series on that. I have not watched that. What I've heard. Good
thing. Season two coming in October. Also TNT has renewed claws for season three. We had one of
the stars on this on this show recently. And animal kingdom is going to get season four.
No interest in that show. They were showing it to Jim the other day. I was like, yeah, I got
nothing. I was actually on an episode of Queen of the South for the first season. Really?
Yeah. I almost got hit by a car not knowing they were shooting something. Not a joke. I was picking
up the brother-in-law downtown and happened to be looking at my phone. Heard something awkward
after they made me move my car and wound up one of the pass or buy during a chasing that went
down through downtown. Have you seen the episode? No. It's a point of the South. I haven't watched it.
Oh, it's curious if you actually saw it. I've seen you just screen grab a bath for the social media.
Yeah. If I was really that desperate for it. Apparently HBO is doing a follow-up series to the new
Pope with the Jude Laws going to be called the Young Pope. John Malkovich joining the cast.
I thought that's what it was called. It was called the Young Pope. But the new one's called the new
Pope. Oh, it's called the new Pope. Oh, yeah. New Pope is the follow-up to the Young Pope.
I'm trying to backwards. You're right. Sure. Brad Dorif is going to voice Chucky in the new
Child's Play TV series, but not in the film reboot. Really? That's what I read.
Because I need a Chucky TV series in my life. Nevermind.
So, okay, go back to the Kevin Smith thing. You are correct. They shot it as a TV movie that's
30 minutes, but they're going to test run it to see if they want to do more. Okay, so it's fair enough.
Good, good. Let's see. Oh, I know that sound. USA with a brand new series debuting on September
4th, because what else do we need a series version of? Then the purge. No. Yeah. No.
And you know, they did the TV movie of Psych last year. There is a sequel in development,
but it's on hold right now. It has a pretty strong following. I mean, I've seen a couple of episodes,
but I thought Juan Chena was in the movie if I'm not mistaken. Charlotte was. Oh, was she? Yeah. Okay.
I think she was actually the leading antagonist. Really? Yeah, if I'm not mistaken on that one.
TV on DVD and Blu-ray this week, seasons one and two of the exorcists, because there will not be a
season three. Seasons one and two also of Rosewood. I don't know if that one got picked back up or not.
Season three of the Magicians, which I've heard is very, very good. I think it's on sci-fi thing. Yeah.
Season four and the last season of the last man on earth, because why did it go for season?
I never could. And your WWE release this year is the shield justice for all.
I believe Metallica has something to say to them. No, that's and justice for all.
Oh, just the man. Justice for all. So you guys know the Clubhouse podcast live every Sunday night,
seven Eastern four Pacific. It is our season eight finale. We're going to talk all about that
later in the show. Join us next week at six Eastern three Pacific, because now all the paper
views are an hour earlier, if you remember, because they're all four hours, because they're core branded.
We will be getting you ready for extreme rules. Oh boy. They putting extreme in quotation.
I think well, there is only one with that stipulation right now. And it's the raw women's title,
isn't it? Correct. Oh, which we're going to have to have a discussion before we get to that point
about what constitutes a shenanigans. Okay, fair enough. We can do that. I just want to be prepared
for LA's diatribe. Are you ever are we ever really prepared for that? As much as we can be, but not no.
I don't know that it's prepared so much as aware that it's going to happen. Yes, just
that is an actual way to put it. Let's put another point for general on the board.
Let's see. We may be on the road week after this one. I don't know for sure. We have to find out
for sure if we will be covering that festival or not. We need to get some closure on that.
Okay. So let's get into POI. POI stands for person of interest. It is a segment that we do on
this show where we take a person or an entity and we debate their greatness or lack thereof.
And I've got a good one for you this week. It's very timely as the kids like to say.
Because something has happened recently that I'm just going to go ahead and say it.
It's blown out of proportion. Okay. And this would be the demise of Toys of Russ.
Now I say this without bias. Many of you know I worked at a Toys of Russ in college for about a
year and a half. I have worked in the lowest level of retail hell. I met many good friends there.
There are some of us are still my friends to this day. For those of you that gained Toys of Russ
from year for years shame on you. Because we knew what you were doing. Did I not turn the TV
down a lot far enough? Maybe not. I'll take care. Take care of that for me please. It's the Xbox
remote. Yeah. So I thought you were going to throw in the fact that the first time you and I
may have met was at that Toys of Russ. It's very possible. Very possible. But my whole point is
is is all the pomp and circumstance surrounding this thing. Is it really really worth it?
Or are we just completely just like I get that this is a piece of our of our childhood and what not.
But is this something that's this big of a dog on deal? I don't know that it's that big of a deal.
But I appreciate that it's a let's take away from some of the other things that are all over
social media right now. That's fair. So I do appreciate it that it's a little more of an innocent
and a saying a goodbye to something that meant something because I can remember being on the waiting
list for a cabbage patch kid and getting the phone call and I mean and it was this whole big thing.
Anyway, I still remember that. So there's good memories of it and the commercials and I mean
the jingle runs in my head all the time. But it's just it's a nice from what's really happening in
the world to have something somewhat you could say sweet. I like the last day where you had
the picture of Jeffrey walking out of the last Toys of Russ and he had the little bag in his hand
and whatnot. Well, suitcase at the airport. Yeah. But first of all, doesn't Amazon own their
online presence anyway? I don't know. They did at one point. I know there has been talk of some
investors of sorts that is looking to apparently revitalize the brand once it's been put to rest.
Kind of like they're doing with circuit city in certain months. Yes. I think they're going to do try
to do something similar towards the rest. It's it's gone the way we knew it. But I think it's going
to come back in another format. I'm not sure how. But I just don't know. I don't know that I care
enough about this. Like it sucks that it's happening. But it's kind of the way of the world right
now. Well, okay, then let me pose this question to you. Did you share this outlook when what happened
with Sound Warehouse and Blockbuster Video happened? Blockbuster. You working to level? Yeah, I worked
at Blockbuster 2. I managed to blockbuster video for a couple of years part time.
It's an interesting question because I kind of feel like that's an Apple's and Orange's situation
because online presence wasn't then as much as it is now. I mean, it was well on its way. True.
But certain entities mean certain things to certain people. For me, Blockbuster is a different
ballgame because to me, there's to this day, there is not a viable alternative to a video store.
There just isn't. True. And I'll give you a couple of prime examples. One, the Equalizer 2 comes
out next week. I would like to go back and watch the Equalizer because I've never seen it.
Can't get it on Netflix. Can't get it on Hulu. So I'm going to have to rent it from Amazon.
And you've done a red box search and nobody around. I haven't even tried to do a red box search.
They probably wouldn't have it at this point anyway. They might. They might. Probably not, but they might.
But I like the fact that I had what? At least four blockbusters within the shooting distance of this
studio. One of them is going to have it. Yeah, it's a greater than zero chance of one of them
was going to have it. With Toys or Russ, it's kind of different because I love the fact that I could
walk up and down the aisles of a blockbuster video. And I can go, you know what? I haven't seen
it in a while. Let's do this. With Toys or Russ, it's Toys. Know what I'm looking for pretty much.
Now, can I say that I have benefited from the closures of these stores? I absolutely have.
But how these companies have not been able to see the writing on the wall.
But blockbuster just got took by Red Box. Yeah. By the time they.
Netflix with the mail-in and. But Red Box was the big nail in the coffin because
of the proximity because Netflix was still in its infancy at that point.
It depends on where you live because even now there's still not Red Box's necessarily like close to
me. There's still a couple of miles. I mean, you couldn't just rock to one. But this was before
Netflix was the monster that it is now. But I'm just saying more areas had the access to the
Netflix mail-in than had access to the Red Box. So just kind of dependent on where you live.
But I think it was the combination of the two that. I mean, they did try. But by the time blockbuster
went to that business model, it was too late to get to have been done. Yeah. They take a swing
at the at the Red Box model because I've ever seen them at Tom Thun's and stuff. Didn't they
have the option to buy both companies and then disregarded it and it wound up biting them?
I've heard that rumor. I've actually heard that rumor that they've been they were approached by
both Netflix and Red Box of like, hey, here's our idea. They're like, no, we don't need that. They're like,
okay, we'll be seeing you later. And then they they had the deal with
a dish network because remember, they were doing the movie for dish network for about a minute and a
half. And that feels spectacularly. But I still think that there's a market for that. And the
reason I say that is there's a couple of Alamo draft houses that can help prove that theory.
This is true. One in Raleigh, one coming in Frisco. But with Toys R Us, I mean, the day of the
brick and mortar shopping, I mean, we're not there, but I can see it from here. I mean, you saw
the Best Buy announcement this week. No. As of September 1st, no longer selling CDs. Oh, yes.
Yes, I did. They will sell vinyl, but they're not selling CDs. That was this month. I thought
it wasn't July 1. Yeah. So, I mean, and if you go to a Best Buy now, it's just basically a mall.
It's all vendor space. So that that day is coming to a close. Right. And it was July 1st. Yeah,
so it was last Monday. Yeah. And I'm not saying I'm not saying I'm going to miss that,
but because I can't remember the last time I bought a CD outside of my ironically. Well,
well, you know what? Yes, I can. And it was at a Best Buy. It was purple rain deluxe last
last year. It's been a year. Yeah. The only CD I've bought in the last three years was the
joke one I bought for him last year. And that was the soundtrack to the room, which I just,
I actually, I had it in my hand the other day. Where'd you get it from? Amazon. And there you go.
But again, like the day of the brick and mortar sores coming to an end. Yeah, but for some
more of an nostalgia thing with Toys or Russ, I really think that's what it's all about. But Toys
or Russ, by the end, it wasn't what it was. No, I will agree with you there. It became more of a
warehouse type environment. Back when they first opened Toys or Russ, it was like kind of like the
Al's toy barn, you know, aesthetic. Well, there's the general has our hand on when you're younger.
Because Don is not here. He's on vacation. I take it upon myself to appreciate that. I am not
taking over for him. Netflix made an offer to Blockbuster in 2000, but Blockbuster declined
about Netflix taking over Blockbuster's mailing service. But that's the only thing I'm finding.
Nothing on Redbox. Nothing on Redbox. But even in 2000, it was so it was such an
infancy. Part of the argument for why Blockbuster isn't taking the offer or one of the arguments
showing up is would you really go to your board and say you're laying off a proof of 84,000 people
losing their jobs and systematically closing 9,400 locations. That's a good point. To me,
there's still a place for the brick and mortar video store. Well, in that regards what
you're opinion on the movie trading company. I love the movie trading company. I still think
they need to adjust some of their pricing. Define. I would like to own yoga hosers, but I'm not
going to pay 18 bucks for it used. Yeah. Supply in demand. That much for yoga hosers, you think?
Oh, I'm just thinking that they only have one copy and they know that there is a... No, there's
like five of them. Okay, I don't know this. They want 25 new. Wow, really? That is truth, sir.
Good Lord. I mean, they now granted. They may be looking at me and saying,
You can't handle the truth, but to me, like I've always thought it would be an interesting thing to do
where if you had some kind of a brick and mortar store where I could go and I could,
you know, hey, look, even if you had like copies of the box art and I could go up to a counter
and scan it and have it emailed to me through a server so that when I got home,
it was ready for me to stream. Okay, because I still don't like the whole, I've
I've got it in a screen and I'm going through. I like that whole thing. I think there's another
huge glaring omission here. Okay. You're a far more social person than the average person.
And this day, the average person doesn't want to deal with going into public,
let alone interacting with them. But there's also something about the whole
having the packaging, being able to read the synopsis. Yes, you can flip back and forth.
You want something tangible? You want something tangible, but you can also be in there with
whoever you're going to be watching the movie with that night. Or maybe you both reach for the same,
you know, it's the meet cute of you, reach for the same cover at the same time. I mean,
that's only if they're on Tinder. That's not a swipe situation, sir. I called it a meet cute,
not an end. You know, you reach for the same movie and you wind up
you know, no, you know, maybe that's why I'm single is because blockbuster doesn't exist anymore.
She said that. Well, nobody else in this room. Oh, I say it about, yeah, I'll throw myself out there.
So I just, I guess in the answer to your question, I was more emotionally invested in the
loss of blockbuster than I am in the loss of toys arrest. I can't get that out of my head. Now,
sleepless in the wrong context. You don't know. You don't know. I thought this, that's really a
provoking. I like that. But yeah, yeah, I think that's the case here. I mean, because me personally,
I'm going to miss toys arrest. I really am. I didn't go to it as often as I probably should have.
When Alex and I went in there, when Alex, I went into the one right here by the house,
but three weeks ago, yeah, something like that. That was the first time I'd darken the door
of a Toys Or Us in two or three years. I went to the one over there off of 75 in North West,
probably four or five times since I've moved over in that place. But I guess for me, it's because
what I would go to a Toys Or Us for, you know, I'm a big board game fan. Yes, that selection
has narrowed greatly, you know, or action figures that I don't collect as much anymore. I mean,
Amazon, it just, the stuff that they're going to sell, my first reaction is going to be
what's this go for? It was like, I bought something the other day. And as I was going to the,
before I let's go to the store to buy the thing, I was like, you know what, let me see what
Amazon has it for. And luckily, it was actually a little bit more expensive on Amazon. So it wasn't
that big of a deal for me to go to the brick and mortar store to get it. But I just don't have
the emotional investment that most people do in this thing. And at one point, I thought it was
because of the way I felt working there. I think that's got to be of it. But I just like, when we
went into that Toys Or Us when they were going through the closing stuff the other day,
I was just like, it is immeasurable how little I care about what's going on right now. But the
thing that the thing that keeps coming back to me is that, you know, knowing that my daughter is of
the age that she's at where she got taken down those aisles multiple times as a kid. And now she's
old enough to have a kid of her own. And the thought that my grandchild, potential grandchild,
is going to grow up possibly, you know, to say, before you put the word potential, I was like,
is there something you need to tell me? No, I'm just saying, but there is theoretical
I can possibly grow up in a world where Toys Or Us doesn't exist anymore. And it's just weird to me.
It's just off-putting. And that's so different. Because like I said, my only experience for Toys Or Us
was my cabbage patch kid. We didn't go to Toys Or Us. That wasn't something. We made regular pilgrimages
to Toys Or Us living for board games. That's not something we did. I mean, and even when
and I'm saying we like me and Rob. Yeah, you know, that was just something that we did.
Right, I'm just saying, but it wasn't it wasn't something in my world or my realm that we did.
Going to a Toys Or wasn't something we did. Fair enough, yeah. Even when the competitor was
in the mall, we just didn't go into the Toys stores unless we had to go buy a birthday gift for
some of it. God, we did just a kill time. And it was always, I mean, we always went to Tarjay.
Yeah, and the big one for me was being at a different age. It's like going to Toys Or Us meant
something good happened for my parents or it happened for my grandparents. And we had that extra
income where we could go somewhere where I'd be able to pick something up. Yeah. So there was
that emotional attachment to actually going like every time I see a giraffe, I immediately think
something good's happening. You start home in the theme. I'm just that's just going to happen.
And I just it just kind of seems like one of those innocence lost moments.
I get I don't know. And again, I don't know why I feel this way. I don't. I think I would fear
you'd be the complete. I just don't. I'm just kind of I've been asked you about that for a while.
And I feel like we should have a moment of silence for Toys Or Us now that it's gone.
And you're just there it is. Yeah, you just got it. It was just it was just it was just
accident with a smirk. Yeah. Well, in the hard part with any brick and mortar at this point. And
I can honestly say Ben guilty of it before is going in somewhere going, hey, I'm interested in
this product. Let me pull out the Amazon app, scan the barcode, double check and be like, oh,
well, I do that. Well, I do that also to look at reviews too. Like what are the reviews on Amazon
for this item? Because God forbid, you can actually find somebody that works there to give you an
opinion of wrong button. Yeah, that's that's that's me driving away. But, you know, I but much
less can you trust what that person says about the product? And you know, that that goes for any
review. And unfortunately, being the anti social person that I am on some level, I'm sitting there
thinking, who is time to write a review on Amazon? Do I trust this person? Yeah. And here's
another thing that I was looking for a certain button. You know, I go back to my days at Toys Or Us
and they please have your attention. The store will be closing in five minutes. You know, you're
getting close to a generation that doesn't know what that is either. Yeah, you know, I mean,
they know this. Goodbye. That's like, that's what they get. You know, I don't know, go with
Walmart being the city that never sleeps. It's just it's just sad that like this doesn't
it just I don't know. This just isn't affecting me like it's affecting their system. That really
shocks me. I really figured the child at heart that I know so well that that lurks within you.
I figured you'd be kind of lurks within me. It pays rent. Exactly my point. That's why I'm really
shocked to hear you have this have this have this outlook on it. Could it also be that you've already
somewhat said a goodbye from having worked there and no longer working and seen the writing on the
wall years ago? I think that's probably what it is. Like I've known this day is coming. And so it's
just kind of like wow, it's fine. Okay. It's kind of like the family member who you know has an
illness that is going to be the end of it. You just kind of have watched it. You know,
go through all the phases of and you've already been through the grief. But it doesn't make it
suck any less when it finally happens. To me, that's what it's so painful. We also kind of
exercise to that demon the last time walking in going, well, this is done. Yeah. And we had a
long talk going up and down like what's the left talking about board games and different things
like that. So I think we already eulogized it ourselves. That's fair. All right. Good talk.
Let's get into some major league baseball mood as we move on. There's just no way to transition
out of that well. Major league baseball stands get ready for America's favorite game show kids.
In the American league east, the Baltimore Orioles 37 games out of first place. 37.
There's 17 games back on Toronto right now. By the way, Baltimore's lost six in a row. They're
one in nine in their last 10. Toronto is four games back on Tampa Bay. The Razer went 14 games
back on the Yankees. The Yankees are two back on Boston. So right now, that's a two horse race.
And also our games next week. It is the middle. So I think it's actually two weeks out.
Okay. I will double check on that. I actually looked at it yesterday. I think it's actually next
week. Like I think there's no, no, it's like the 18th or seven. That's the next week. They did
the selection today, I think. That's it. It says the eighth. So sorry, I forgot it was Sunday and
there was a whole week ago. In the AL Central, the Kansas City Royals still suck. 25 and 64. They're
24 and a half games back. So if they double their win total, they'll be a half game back.
They are four and a half back on the white socks. The white socks are nine back on Detroit.
Game and a half back on Minnesota. And they're nine and a half back on Cleveland July 17th.
Okay. So next week, next Tuesday, in the AL West, your Rangers.
Still 11 games below 500. They're 20 and a half back. They're just
then they're four and a half back on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles,
County, California, American, North America, Earth, Milky Way universe.
Law is five back on Oakland. Oakland is six and a half back on Seattle. Seattle's three and a
half back on Houston. That's the Bob and Tom Joke. You're welcome. Okay. In the National League West,
the San Diego Padres. They are 15 games below 512 and a half back. Only team in the major leagues.
They can have somebody hit three home runs and they still lose by 15. It's well, I thought that
was the Rangers. No, that was the Padres yesterday. Fair enough. They're eight back on San Francisco.
San Francisco's a half back game back on Colorado. Colorado's three back on Misty's beloved Dodgers.
And the Dodgers are a game back on the Arizona Diamond backs.
In the NL Central, the Cincinnati Reds still sucked their 15 back. They've lost two in a row.
They are two and a half back on Don's beloved Pittsburgh pirates. The pirates are five and a half back on St. Louis.
St. Louis, five and a half back on the Cubs. The Cubs are a game and a half back on Millowaw K.
And in the only division that matters, the NL East. Boy, the Marlins are still bad.
But at least we're five and five in our last 10. And we're consistent. We're 19 and 26 at home.
We're 18 and 29 in the road. We're very consistent. We're consistently bad. But we're consistent.
And we are a game back on Meet the Metz. Greek the Metz. I hate you Fred Wolf on.
You're going to have T-Bubble for too much longer. Don't worry about it.
The Metz are eight and a half back on the Nattinals. Atlanta and Philly now tied for first.
But Philly's got the tie break.
So as we approach the halfway mark, and by the way, my braves 50 and 39,
28 games to go with them. We're a winner.
All right. Hey, there's something sticking out of my back, Jen. Would you mind grabbing it?
You funded it. You can't call it a stat in the back if you funded it.
Fowl. I got some salt. I can give you for it.
It's on a roll today. Wow. That just happened.
All right. I'll be over here licking my wounds in the pride.
Is everybody ready for America's favorite game show?
No. What is the run differential for the Kansas City Royals?
Reminding you that two and a half years ago, they were World Series champions.
Chad, what is the run differential for the Kansas City Royals?
Negative 162. 162 says Chad.
General. Negative 185.
185 says General. And I love my family.
I will recuse myself because I actually came across a tweet that had that number in it.
So it would not be fair for me to say.
Okay. So you're saying $1. No, no, no.
I'm saying that I know the number of fights.
You're just bidding $1. Well, I know who won.
And I feel very unfortunate for one person on the show.
So the Kansas City Royals, as I said earlier, 25 and 64.
They have a 281 win percentage.
They're 24 and a half games back.
They're 11 and 35 at home. They're 14 and 29 in the road.
They've lost nine in a row.
They were one in nine in their last 10.
Closest without going over is Gen Rome.
Now, if Alex had played the game, not knowing what he knows,
as he tends to outbid the Gen Rome by one run, he would have nailed it.
To be fair, I've only done that like five times.
The Kansas City Royals are an negative 186.
Oh, I don't mind.
One differential.
She went 180, I was like, she's fixing to nail this.
She went five and I was like, oh, you know what?
One off, still count.
I know. You're the closest without going over.
Interestingly enough, I would have not won if I had even just cheated and said the number
that I saw earlier today.
Really?
Because apparently that number includes the game today.
Yes, I just refreshed before we start this.
Right, because the tweet that I saw was 183.
Oh, so you felt bad thinking she'd gone over.
Exactly.
You're going, you're too, I think she was over by two.
Wow, and instead she said,
winning.
So I am today.
Today, I am winning.
Today, you are in Puego.
Wow, this is my second time this year to have a day of winning.
You want your shot glass full of tigers, but nicely done.
Nicely done.
All right, so let's, we only have one music headline this week.
And it's the end of an era.
Let me get to the music segment here.
Something we just discussed about this one.
No, okay.
This is something that probably was lost on people of yours in Myse ilk,
but maybe those kids with the clothes and the hair,
probably more affected by this.
This past weekend, something was in town,
and it will be the last time it will ever be in Dallas ever,
because once it's over this summer,
it will be no more.
So say goodbye to the van's work tour.
Really?
It is to be done.
To be fair, I thought that was done 10 years ago.
Oh, man, I know kids that go to it every year.
Well, no, no, no.
Somebody said that to me on Friday,
and I was like, wait, that's still a thing.
Yeah, it was shocked, too.
Just there you say it now.
And the weird thing is the guy that founded it,
there are rumors that he's going to turn it into a cruise.
Oh, boy.
What is with everybody putting things on boats now,
I think?
Who wants to be the janitor on that cruise?
No, no, no, no, no.
If you can get him at the edge, it's not as bad.
No, no, no!
There's no, oh, god.
That's what the waves are for.
You imagine having a boat that smells like a locker room all the time.
So basically a boat?
Yes.
Okay.
Yes, it's called that.
Remember, I've never gone on a cruise.
I can't, I don't have I, but I can't.
I think we have someone who's been on a military ship.
Yes, we call that the United States Navy.
Oh, dear.
Oh, there's no follow-up to that.
I got nothing.
I thought there was a follow-up to that.
That's your headline for this week.
And we've got your musical acts.
We're announced for the state for our Texas.
Ludacrisp will be playing this year.
Casting crowns playing this year.
Austin Mahon playing.
He's big with the kids with the clothes in the hair.
Seven straighter.
Yep, seven straighter.
Who's the kid that freaks me out in the country?
I don't know.
We ran through the list and I only knew about one of them.
I can't think of his name.
Wow, bowling for suit playing the Vance 4 tour.
Okay.
Aren't they always?
They've done it before.
I would never have played.
Ever since 1985 came out?
Chevrolet main stage.
Ludacrisp on October 13th.
Aaron Watson will be playing OU Texas Weekend.
And Austin Mahon will also playing that weekend.
Casting crowns is said earlier.
Seven straighter we talked about.
Michael Salgado will be playing the Tejano Weekend.
Hunter Hayes.
That's the kid that freaks me out.
Why does he creep you out?
Have you ever watched him perform?
No, really?
That's a band.
Yes!
Yes!
Okay, we need to hear this.
Yes!
What is it?
That's a band playing at the Vance 4 tour.
If you've ever heard me use the Bofa joke,
you know what comes next?
That's the name of a band.
Mikey's favorite artist.
You should take a picture of that and send it to him.
I say this is who's playing the Vance 4 tour.
All right, music new releases in places you get
music new releases this week.
Cowboy junkies is back.
We've got an album called All That Reckoning.
A new album from Jim Gaffigan this week called Noble Ape.
Um, another new album and you are not getting rolled by.
Never gonna give you her.
Rick Astley, a new album this week called Beautiful Life.
He's released the first video.
I saw a chick like that.
How funny would it be if he claimed it as a new one
and everything was just-
Just the-
Every song we're just writing the middle of it.
Not even a remix is just the same song.
Rodney Crowell releases Acoustic Classics this week.
A band called Slightly Stupid S-T-O-O-P-I-D
releases every day life, every day people, and every day spelling.
Uh, the J-Hawks are back with back roads and abandoned motels.
And does the name Tom Bailey mean anything to you, sir?
Should it?
Former singer for the Thompson Twins has a solo record this week.
Oh, yeah, I think called Science Fiction.
He's coming with B-52s.
Yeah, and uh, shoot.
I can't remember the other-
Oh, Culture Club.
Culture, yeah.
Yeah, can't wait not to see that.
I saw them on a retro tour about 20 years ago
with minute work, the fix, and a couple of other acts.
Culture Club was not very good.
I can't imagine it's gotten any better.
Oh, this piece of thing, uh, uh, because that-
Weird way we got here.
This week, the return of Lip Sync Battle.
Oh, really?
Mm-hmm.
Oh, good.
And the other thing I-
Triggered that was because he was the quote-on-quote guest DJ
for the- the episode that it was a salute to Spice Girls.
And it was the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
They're like, cut it up, boy, George!
And he just, like, took a record and went,
icky, icky, icky, icky, icky.
Like, that was the whole bit.
Oh, boy.
But he's not even DJ-ing.
And yeah, he is a very good DJ from what I've been told.
But that was just so badly done.
That was just a paycheck.
Yeah.
We actually got through that without him saying
that the DJ booth has a sacred place.
It is a sacred place.
There we go.
I blame you.
I'm just-
Yeah, Alex, that one's on you.
All right, I'll take it.
Let's get to In Memorium.
We've got one to talk about this week,
but right, this week we've got quality over quantity kids.
I don't know if that's-
We might want to clarify what we mean by that.
No, but I mean, like, this is a big name.
This is a major name, yes.
This is a major name.
Because this is the only one we have this week,
but we have a big one this week.
Steve Ditko died at the age of 90 this week.
He may not be a name that you recognize off the bat,
but you do know the name Stanley.
This was one of his partners.
Creed, just a couple of people, you know.
Spider-Man, Dr. Strange.
But it's-
He actually drew for Atlas Comics,
which is the forerunner of Marvel.
He was born in Jontown, Pennsylvania.
The son of a first generation,
Americans of Slovak descent.
His dad was a talented master carpenter at a steel mill.
His mother was a homemaker.
He is the second eldest child of his family.
He's a number two of four.
This guy, I mean, if you just look up some of his artwork,
I mean, you'd be like, oh, that dude, yeah.
Anything that you wanted to bring to the table
as far as he was concerned, Chad?
Well, I mean,
the man is a co-creator of icons, and you know,
I don't know if I could add anything to that.
I mean,
his body of work kind of speaks for itself.
Spider-Man alone.
I mean, I know that Stanley gets the lion's share of the credit, but, you know,
Stanley worked with a lot of great people,
and this was just another shining example of that.
And he also did some work for DC Comics as well.
He did Action Comics work.
Beware the creeper, hawk in the dove.
Manbat.
The cancelled comic cavalcade.
Adventure Comics.
He worked for Charlton Comics Warren Publishing.
He did some independent work ace comics.
Renegade Press did a little bit of work for Dark Horse in 1993.
What did he retire, does it say?
Oh, let me look.
In that I'll throw in.
They did a documentary at BBC about him that had basically a who's who
of comic book people speaking about him.
I think that was about 10 years ago.
The last thing that they're showing his work here was in 2008.
Wow.
He released the Avenging Mind, a 32-page essay publication featuring several pages of new artwork.
Good night.
That's, I mean, think about it.
Said in 2012 of his self-published efforts, quote,
I do those because that's all they'll let me do.
I mean, for people of a certain age,
I mean, his Wikipedia page, they show a picture of
Dormammu attacking eternity
from a Dr. Strange panel.
Like, it's iconic.
So as Geeks,
you know, does that page have anything on the BBC documentary, though?
I don't see anything here.
But what I distinctly remember about that was it was everybody from Stanley
down through Mark Miller and a lot of people.
He actually, he found his interest in comics accelerated by Batman's introduction
in 1940 and by Will Eisner's The Spirit.
Oh.
In junior high, he was part of a group of students who crafted wooden models of German airplanes
to aid civilian World War II aircraft spotters.
How about that?
I'm trying to look up the name of this documentary that
and listed in the Army in October 26, 1945 and he had
did military service in post-war Germany where he drew comics for an Army newspaper.
It's called In Search of Steve Ditko.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, I was thinking it's searching for it, but yeah.
But do they have any details on when that was and what it covered?
Uh, it was first shown on Sunday, the 16th of September in 2007.
Okay, so about 10 years ago.
So our deepest to his family and friends,
Steve Ditko, it's 90.
Heck of a run.
Thank you for everything you've given us.
As a, as a favorite show of ours, we'll say, huge bucket of win.
All right, let's combine our loves for pop culture and sports
and talk a little pro wrestling.
We are the kingdoms.
The greatest group in Ring of Honor history.
And you, my friends, you are checking out the Clubhouse podcast.
Fight the conspiracy and be one of us.
All right, let's talk wrestling for a minute.
Interesting headline this week, WWE talking about bringing back, again,
Saturday Night's Made event.
But there's, but there's more.
On both NBC and Fox.
Really?
Because in the Fox deal going down next year,
you pay a billion dollars.
You should get some out of this.
Well, I wonder if they're going to angle that as the,
if they appear on one show, they won't be on another.
So if there's somebody who's on the raw roster doing the Saturday night,
it'll only appear on NBC.
That's what I'm thinking.
Whereas if they're on the Smackdown roster, that's the Fox contingent.
That makes sense.
Last night was UFC 226.
Yes, sir.
Daniel Kormier successfully defending his heavyweight title.
No, he won the heavyweight title with a return.
Oh, he won, okay.
He was the light heavyweight champion.
Oh, okay.
Ran his mouth a little bit.
Lesnar got into the octagon and shoved him.
Hard.
Lesnar had a sharp looking suit on, though.
That was a really good notice.
Did you notice it was the photo negative of Dana White?
No, it's not.
They had the exact same suit on, but in the colors reverse.
And apparently he is going to fight Daniel Kormier,
but it won't be until January because at the earliest.
Lesnar still has to serve out the rest of his
alleged doping suspension.
No, it's not alleged.
You saw how I said it, sir.
I'm just saying.
Yeah, trying to keep us out of trouble.
But Dana White started the paperwork on getting him reinstated last week.
And apparently Kormier has said that he's willing to promote the fight on WWE programming,
so you know, Vince is giddy as a school girl.
Yeah, he's salivating.
But if you watch the video on that, it was a full
wrestling promo style in the octagon ring.
Fair warning.
Some adult language.
Yeah, and by some, I mean a lot.
Not helping.
Ruby Riott's MCL Sprayn into House Show last week
and going to be out for a few weeks.
That's why you didn't see her on Raw Monday night.
And Bray Wyatt was in a car accident with multiple injuries,
but it's already back in action at a house show.
He was cited for reckless driving.
Yeah, apparently there was a house show that he was supposed to be at that night.
Was after the like that caused the Ruby Riott injury,
because so much it was the house show was so bad,
they had to rebook a bunch of stuff on the fly.
So and now we're hearing rumors that Elias is now sponsored by Fender.
What he is perpetrating those rumors, but they're not denying it.
You know what? Why not? I'm on board with this.
Absolutely. I am on board with this.
That man does good work.
As long as he doesn't have to say too many S's.
Mike Trout and Bryce Harper announced heading up the All-Star teams.
Unsurprising.
Let's see. And apparently some real life heat with Nia Jackson Alexa Bliss.
Seriously?
I saw that the other day, but I can't remember what it was.
Apparently Nia has deleted her on all social media
and any comments that are being made negatively towards Alexa.
She is liking.
I feel like she's trying to keep herself over on that one.
I hope that's the case.
Because I think next Sunday we get Nia transition out of that picture
and she's trying to fight it.
I really hope not.
All right, Raw Notes.
Totally forgot that at one point, Axel was your intercontinental champion.
He was?
That's what they said.
I thought he had it two times.
I'll have to fact check that one.
And when are we going to get a real angle for the authors of pain?
Like this is just old.
It's just old.
I even get that as a staple.
And that I still like the idea that I saw that was the fantasy booking of
have Roman go away and come back with the empire of pain.
And then you just have your heel stable.
I'm born with that, right?
That Finn Balor Baron Corbin segment was awkward.
It got more awkward on social media.
I'm sure Charlotte loved it since there was some booty shots.
She does love her something, Valor.
We actually saw it like that.
It's like, oh yeah, we saw a guy actually at dinner last night that had the
Balor club for everyone's shirt and she was very, very happy with that.
I'm very happy with that whole ordeal.
And can I just, I'm no fascinista.
But Braun Strowman needs to buy better tank tops.
This whole, maybe a size too small and too low cut.
It's a little uncomfortable for me.
Well, it's funny that you do the fascinista when there's news about
Fan Dango that just came out.
I heard I read that this morning.
We're going to get to that.
You know what?
Props for the people that measured that portapoddie just so they can make
sure it got through the door.
Because as he started dragging that portapoddie, I'm like, that's not,
that's, there's no way that's good.
Oh, look at that.
It went right through the door.
Wow, okay.
So that the update on Curtis Axle, it was a one-time intercontinental champion
and a one-time tag team champion with David Otonga.
Yes, I do remember that because that was the nexus thing.
But I'm not mistaken.
I believe it was.
And of course, my DVR, come on direct TV now.
Give me the ability to add extra time to my recordings.
It did cut off the ending, but the next day,
WWE put up the segment on their Facebook page.
So I did get to see the whole thing.
And I don't care who you are.
If you put me in a portapoddie and dump me off a stage,
even if it's only a foot off the ground, it's still gross.
It's always gross.
Even if it's a newly built, no one has ever used a portapoddie, it's still gross.
I still love the reporting on the real victim and all of this is Kevin Owens.
And just a little bit of wrestling logic.
When you put two ramps side by side on the side of a stage,
something very large is getting dragged up in.
I'm just saying.
They telegraphed that a bit, did they?
Oh, wow, I'm shocked.
You know, they got sent in by Morse code.
When he dragged the portapoddie, it was like it had its own
pleats.
The whole ropes that he just pulled up from underneath the portapoddie.
I'm like, that doesn't happen.
Look at these ropes that just happened to be here.
You know what?
I will go ahead and take the high road on that and say,
I have never seen the underside of a portapoddie.
Maybe they exist.
You haven't seen enough Johnny Knoxville steevo stunts.
That's a fair point.
I have, but I have a tendency to look away at the right time.
And speaking of Johnny's.
I'm just gonna say this.
Uh-oh.
Last night, Charlotte and I had dinner at the Twisted Root.
And you know, at the Twisted Root, they give you a car.
It has a celebrity because they don't call your name.
I got Johnny Carson.
And the kid behind the corner was like,
is this okay?
I'm sure that that wouldn't be wonderful.
Thank you very much.
He had no idea where his horse you did.
And I'm like, that was a dead-on Johnny Carson.
I don't care what you say.
And see, I think my favorite is I went at Valentine's one time
and I actually got Juliet.
Nice.
Although the best one I ever heard somebody got Lady Gaga
and when the order came up, the girl on the mic said,
how does Lady Gaga like her burgers?
Raw, raw, raw, raw, raw.
Like I said, I have to see what she did there.
See what she did.
I will say the Twisted Root and Richardson does that a lot.
They're really good.
Oh yeah.
And that's where I was.
And at Valentine's, it was all like, it was all couples.
It was Romeo and Juliet.
It was.
Oh, so they had a theme for these.
Yeah, on the flip side of impressions,
I will never forget when we walked in there
and somebody was stewie-griffin.
And the guy announced his in character.
Yeah, nailed it.
We're like, wow, this guy's good.
Anyway.
All right, some other headlines.
Impact has brought back the knockouts tag titles.
Not sure it's going to save that company,
but there was an interesting little tidbit
that actually caught my attention this week.
OG LAX is back in the house.
Homicide in Hernandez wiped out this new version of LAX.
And don't they look monstrous next to them?
God, I mean, Hernandez is already the size of a Buick.
But my point being is that you see the size difference
being so dramatic within there.
Juice Robinson is your new IWGP U.S. champion.
And I really want to know if Josh Barnett was legit or in story
when he was the G1 pay-per-view.
JR got shoved to the ground by mistake in a weird spot.
It's a domino effect.
Yeah, guard railed a table to JR.
Takahashi may have been injured.
We're finding out he was injured last night.
He was injured.
They don't know the extent.
Hopefully he didn't break his neck,
but dragonly owes somebody an apology.
Yes.
WWE wants to buy Evolve.
Can't say I blame him.
Just for network content.
Which makes me wonder like, I don't think it's just for the library.
I think with a headline that I've got here in a minute,
I think that's the more purpose on this.
ROH?
I see what you're doing, ROH.
I'm on board with what you're doing, ROH.
I'm buying what you're selling.
But I'm going to tell you something.
Somebody's listening to this show.
How many times on this show have I said the words?
If you want attendance at your house shows,
stuff has to happen at your house shows.
All right.
Two title changes in the last three weeks at house shows.
One of them after a paper view.
Really?
Yes, sir, because when we went at the Gilly show,
we watched the TV title change hands as Punishment Martinez won that match.
The night after best in the world,
which I watched over Alex and I watched together.
Had a great time.
Do you have a new ROH World Champion?
The night after the paper view.
Yes, it was.
And his name is Jay Lethal.
Really?
Mm-hmm.
Interesting.
Was that a, was that a fatal four-way?
Yes, it was.
It was a four-way between Cody getting another shot,
Matt Taven, Jay Lethal,
and your former champion, Dalton Castle.
So not only if you're a member of Honor Club,
you can stream pretty much every live event because they're streaming them live now.
Mm-hmm.
I think they're ditching the TV route.
I think they're trying to skip ahead with Sinclair.
And Sinclair is just realizing that they're getting more buzz
and more money coming in from other avenues
than actually even putting it on their station.
And if you follow me on social media,
you have seen the achievement unlocked that I had this week.
In the same calendar year,
I have now appeared on both WWE and ROH television.
Winning, yes, I am.
I was behind you, so you couldn't see me.
If Rob wasn't right there, you would have seen me too.
I was sitting.
Although, Rob, I was burying a lead on this that I gave you for.
Oh, really?
Do you realize it's almost the one-year anniversary from when you said that?
Is it really?
It is.
It's one-year since AJ Styles won the US title at the Madison Square
Garden House show that people weren't expecting,
which was then followed by you going on about Nick House Show's matter.
You're welcome, sir.
Thank you very much.
I'm telling you, somebody's listening to this show.
There's several things I'd like to tell them then.
I mean, ROH is doing it right.
They just are.
Yes, yes.
And the fact that you go to a non-televised event,
quote-unquote, and you can still watch it.
I think it's brilliant.
I think it's absolutely brilliant.
And you're having titles change hands.
You're having ankle development.
You're having, that's what this should be.
They're stopping your house show's face fests
and give people a reason to pack the American Airlines Center on a Thursday night.
I just love that I got so excited when I figured that out
that I called you from work on my work phone.
Yeah, that's right.
Come at me.
That's right.
I didn't hear any of that.
They did.
W-W-E is set to offer contracts to Cody, Kenny Omega, and the Young Box
by the end of the year because their contracts are expiring.
I am hoping none of them take it.
Really?
But they are playing up.
They never know.
Right.
Because they are making ROH a viable alternative.
And that's the only reason I think that Vince is offering them contracts
because he's kind of crushed the competition.
And he sees them as competition, as he should.
And they're making a ton of money now that they don't have to share
between pro wrestling teas, between whatever else they have going on.
And they get to work the schedule they want to work because they do have young children.
Although Cody is now on break.
He's going to do some TV show, but he's not willing to talk about it.
I think he's going to do more arrow.
Because they went back to the production this week.
Well, the other aspect is he took a really tough spot in the match last night
getting power bombed from the inside of the ring to a table on the outside that didn't break.
Well, he's also said that he's got another project.
That's why he's abandoned the blonde hair that I did notice.
Let's see here.
Now, earlier I talked about
WWE wanting to buy a vault for network content.
Rumors are now circulating that as you said recently,
NXT may be going to Fox as part of that deal.
So if that happens, does Evolve take the NXT spot?
That's my theory.
That is a very sound theory, especially when what you look at it now.
I think there's two levels to that.
Okay, good.
I think Evolve winds up filling in with the network.
But I think Evolve also becomes part of NXT UK that keeps people from going to world of sport,
which is what has been started up with the Stu Bennett attached who Vince still hates on some level, I think.
I do know how to hold a grudge.
Do I need to say, oh yeah, to anybody?
No, no, no, we don't need to say anything about that.
Because that's a grudge he held for a long time.
That grudge, he still holds.
He's in the whole thing.
Yeah, but that wasn't until post mortem.
That's true.
He can hold a grudge with the actual person, but still make money on those shirts.
Great news for one of my favorite tag teams.
The two year losing streak for the Ascension is over.
Two year televised losing streak.
But still.
Yes.
Except it was on main event over, right when he's slated.
Was it on TV?
Was it on TV?
Oh, winds of wind.
And then Kurt Hawkins congratulating them was a bad move.
Well, and WWE's reaction was, now let's see if we can get Kurt Hawkins to win.
Fondango now out with a shoulder surgery for six months.
Labyrinth tears are a monster.
And what do we get to do with Prince Pretty?
Well, somebody else just signed a two year deal.
Get ready for more injuries.
Yeah, two year deal with WWE.
They are so desperate for that contingent, but they don't care about their time.
Couple of Smackdown live notes.
Did anybody else notice the absolute contrast of redness between Elworth's face
and the rest of his torso?
I was like, dude, you have to take the shirt off when you go to the tanning booth.
I'm just saying.
No, no, he's just standing over a friar at that point.
And if you stared at Carmella's trunks long enough on Tuesday, do you see a schooner?
To sailboat.
No, it just makes you creepy.
That's all it really does.
And I'm just not feeling this team hell no thing.
I'm just not feeling this.
I feel like this is filler.
I genuinely feel like this is filler.
This is literally the only way they can, you know what?
I'm going to call my shot early.
The only way they set it up with Miz getting involved to prevent
team hell no from winning the titles.
And then you have your Daniel Bryan and Miz thing going on.
While the bludgeon's deal with being mediocre somewhere else
when they should be better because they're talking about type 1 with the Usos in the new date.
And then you have, you know, mayor of Knox County,
Glenn Cain Jacobs going off on his horse.
Exactly.
And you see his, uh, Glenn's opponent now going after him for still being on WWE television?
Yeah, good luck with that one in Tennessee.
Well, I'm just like, well, first of all, does he currently hold an office that will require him to
do anything while he's campaigning?
I believe the answer there is no, no, no, not at all.
So I say this to her.
There's your term for grasping at something and, you know, you don't grab Cain's cape at this point.
Hey, I got a chuckle at a jet.
It's worth it for me.
That was nervous laughter.
Oh, don't you?
All right, let's get into movie talk.
Movie talk, dropping out of the top 10 this week.
Sanju, a Filipino import, I believe, drops from 8 to 12, 5.9 million dollars.
Solo, finally out of the top 10, drops from 9 to 14,
$982,000, 7 weeks, 211 million dollars.
Yeah, that's harsh.
Yeah.
Dropping from 7 to 10 this week, Deadpool 2 with $1.7 million, $8 weeks, $315 million, $110 million
budget.
And yet they still want to deny there's a three coming.
Yeah, let's not do that.
Jumping from 10 to 9 this week, won't you be my neighbor?
$2.6 million, $5 weeks, almost $13 million.
They're going to be okay.
And I'm so glad that if you haven't seen that movie, go see that movie.
I want to see it, but I want it to be at my house so I can cry in peace.
And it's episode which, Rob?
Let's see, that's going to be iTunes exclusive 388.
By the way, speaking of iTunes exclusives,
we're going to hide and spoil it, I don't care.
By the time season 9 begins, we will hit number 400.
Yes, for iTunes exclusives, I'm very, very excited about that.
So, we've got that going for us, which is, it's so nice.
All right, also, let's go back to the box office numbers.
Dropping from 6 to 8 this week is tag $3.1 million, $4 weeks, $48.3 million, $28 million
budget.
It's not out of the woods yet, but it's getting close.
Has anyone seen that?
I've talked to a handful of people.
I've had the couple of people say that they didn't dig it,
but most of the people I've talked to said that it was a lot of fun.
I still want to see it.
I do too.
I'm in there.
Oceans 8 drops from 5 to 7 this week.
$5.3 million, $5 weeks, $126.8 million, $70 million budget.
Also, not out of the woods yet, but they're getting close.
They're very close on that.
Uncle Drew drops from 4 to 6 this week.
$6.7 million, $2 weeks, almost $30 million.
There's a weird part of me that kind of wants to see this.
It's insane.
I'm thinking when it shows up on Netflix,
I just won't change the channel.
Right, close on.
The first purge debuts in fourth place.
$17.2 million, $1 week, $31.3 million, $13 million budget.
So you're going to get another one.
Remember, I remember what we said earlier.
USA is doing a series.
Good luck with all that.
I like every one of them I've seen.
Maybe it's the sadest trapped inside me,
but I can't decide if I want to see one or not.
I haven't seen any of them.
Dropping from the gold medals of the bronze medal this week
at $28.6 million is Jurassic World Fallon Kingdom.
Nice.
He's not alone.
$31.1 million, that was for the purge.
This is $170 million budget, $333.4 million.
$1.3 million.
Staying in the silver medal this week,
Incredibles 2 brings another $29 million,
$4.5 billion domestic.
They're going to be okay.
And debuting in the number one spot this weekend,
man on the wasp.
I don't know.
Do we celebrate a $76 million opening for this film?
No, because it breaks the streak.
Of $100 million opening?
Yes.
Wow.
Yeah, it's a holiday week.
I mean, iTunes exclusive $3.96.
I think they're at their own fault at this point.
By the way, iTunes exclusive $3.97, Whitney,
debuts in 11th place with $1.3 million.
Is their own fall house though?
Just over saturation?
No, they've spoiled their own surprise.
Yeah, allegedly an Alex brought this in my attention.
Marvel spoiled the extra scene in credits on social media.
They basically put it out there and said,
hey, make sure you stay for this,
because I'm not, you know what?
I'm not going to be as bad as them.
I'm not going to say anything else.
I'm just going to say they said,
hey, you've got to be there.
Yeah.
Are they, they said in the,
just in the TV spots,
the ending will blow you away or something like that?
No, they went further than that in their social game.
Did they?
Uh-huh.
Okay, you'll have to tell me off here.
And, uh,
I don't know how I feel about you.
She said, um,
totally forgot what I was going to say.
Fair enough.
What?
That was just, she's hinting at it.
Let's see, John Wick 3 now has a title.
It's going to be called Parabellum.
But the chapters worked so well.
I know.
But this Parabellum meaning preamble to war.
Oh, okay.
All right.
And,
see all the other ones have just been light skirmishes.
All right.
The next one, I say this
because continuity
Miles Teller,
who we're a fan of on this show.
We enjoy his final.
We're going to be playing Goose's son in Top Gun 2.
How many Ryan Gosling jokes are we going to have in this?
That wasn't me.
Wasn't me either.
So, it's been what?
32 years since Top Gun.
How old was his kid in?
He was like an infant.
He would be two or three.
Okay.
I think he would be a little bit older than Miles Teller is now.
He probably would have been in and out of the Navy by now.
Yeah.
Well, I mean,
well, what would you say?
Mid-30s would be Top Gun.
I mean, I think that could work.
Because I was like junior high high school.
Wait, wait, we're over it.
We're glossing over the fact that he has to be brought back in
because he had talent.
So, come back and join.
So, he's already in and out,
but he didn't give himself the pilot exactly.
So, we're making Maverick.
Rocky and Goose's kid is now Creed.
Yes, he's done.
You know, it's speaking of that.
Well, this isn't a fat man on Batman today.
And Kevin was freaking out about that last scene in the trailer.
I'm like, they've said that was a thing from the get go.
I didn't think that was any big secret.
So,
Jim Carrey is going to play Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic movie.
Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I guess that's supposed to be animated.
I would hope so.
I think it's half and half.
Yeah, which worries the crud out of me.
They're going to miss this up.
But they did such a good job of Super Mario Brothers.
You weak John Link was almost alone.
And Bob Hoskins, thank you very much.
The grand Dennis Hopper.
Thank you very much.
Dennis Hopper deserved it at that point.
Carrey Russell has joined episode nine.
Yeah, I saw that.
I'm just wondering what capacity.
I'm good with it.
I'm a big fan.
Are you ready for more information on your men and black reboot?
We're going overseas.
It's going to be taking place in London.
Okay, with Kumail Nanjiani and Rafe Spal.
See, I got to, I got to give Kumail a shot.
Men in black at anything.
Did you see Brad Bird kind of give him grief on Twitter the other day?
Because Kumail tweeted out that the Iron Giant is the greatest movie of all time.
Thanks to everybody else that participated.
Brad Bird was like, oh, that's great.
Just do me a favor.
Don't see Sys and Kane.
Don't see anything done by Hitchcock.
Idris Elba has joined the Fast and Furious Spinoff as the villain.
It's going to be called Hobbs and Shaw.
I think that's a working title right now.
Sounds like a law firm, but it's Idris Elba.
I mean, I can't totally be out on it because it's Idris Elba.
Interesting words from Margot Robbie this week.
Birds of prey are going to start shooting in January and they are shooting for an R rating.
Good.
As long as it's better than suicide squad.
And the Birds of prey TV series.
You know, I had a DVD that I never watched it.
Didn't really miss much.
Legendary pictures working on a live-action Gundam film.
Oh, dear God.
Really?
It's legendary pictures.
I mean, it's a big name, sir.
That's that's going to be, well, if it's handled correctly, it's going to be
massive.
Nope, no pun intended there.
Moving your releases in places you seem waiting for the Pacific Rim connection.
A background, yeah, a big background fam.
You haven't seen the new one, have you?
No, and I'm afraid too.
Don't.
Okay.
So,
that's unfortunate.
Moving your releases in places you get moving new releases this week.
The fact that we have not even heard high-nor-hair wind of a screening for
skyscraper is concerning.
Because that's this week, sir.
Now, a movie that we have screened
called Hotel Transylvania 3 Summer Vacation, which you'll get our review of very, very soon.
That's this week.
Also, a movie called Siberia.
Have you heard of this thing?
A very surface level.
Yeah, I want to see it.
I want to see it, because I've heard of it.
Subtitled.
Whoa.
You've leave that panel alone.
My Keanu Reeves is dead on.
Don't mess with my Keanu Reeves.
Whoa.
Dead, dead on.
Dead on.
I've worked on that for years.
When an American diamond trader's Russian partner goes missing, he journeys to
Siberia in search of him, but instead finds a love affair.
Molly Ringwald is in this.
No, it is Russia.
I think she's been on Riverdale.
She's trying to make a comeback.
I'm very upset because I think her work has gone too far.
Like, she's had a lot of work done.
Oh, I haven't seen her in years.
If you watch season one of Riverdale and season two, it's a parent.
It's a huge difference.
It's not quite the...
It was startling when I saw it.
It's not quite the Jennifer Gray had the nose job, but it's noticeable.
Yeah, it's pretty rough.
Just gonna say.
All right, DVD and Blue Ray new releases in places you get DVDs and Blue Ray new releases this week.
A quiet place?
No, thank you.
That was a great movie.
I'm sure it was wonderful, but not for me.
And they're doing a sequel, by the way.
Chapa Quiddick this week, which I actually do want to see.
Kevin was actually watching it this weekend.
He said he very much enjoyed it because he got it for my tune.
I heard good things about that.
Have you seen this thing for a movie called Two Eleven?
First of all, why am I in this movie?
Nicholas Cage.
You need work on that one.
Yeah.
I'm looking for other people in the answer to that is because they sent a script and a check.
Okay, so this came out.
Okay, first of all, release date was the 8th of June.
It's on Blue Ray this week.
Going for the record.
Let me give you the official IMDB description of this film.
Official.
Bank Heist movie in the vein of End of Watch meets Black Hawk Down.
That's the official description by IMDB in this film.
So that's where Don Ford actually is.
Wow.
I think I just killed Chad.
Wow.
But I am interested in this a movie called 24 by 36 is a movie about movie posters.
Oh, okay.
Interesting.
If I'm interested in that.
Two criterion collection releases this week.
Four in film called Dragon Inn.
And a little indie film you might know called Bull Durham.
Oh.
It's the criterion collection treat this week.
I thought they already had it.
I don't think Criterion's done it before.
I thought they had.
I'm very easily can be corrected.
One quick tech corner deal.
Your pre-order bonus WWE 2K 19 characters have been revealed.
Microsoft accidentally leaked one of them being Ronda Rousey.
The other one, I think if you play as this person,
it may put a virus on your system because it'll hurt something because it's Ray Mysterio.
No, it's like using a job back in Golden Eye.
He's too little.
You can't hit him.
Who throws his shoe?
Honestly.
See, that was better.
That's my, that's my, that's dead on.
See, I, that was better than the Nicholas Cage.
I don't know about dead on.
No, my Nicholas Cage is solid.
I didn't say it was dead on.
It was solid, completely different.
Solid as in Rigor Mordus.
Hey, hey, but that solid isn't it?
Is it Rigor Mordor?
Rigor Mord's solid.
You kind of did your own argument.
I'm, I'm glad you have self-esteem.
That's right.
Self-awareness we need to work on.
And I'm, I'm even happier that he has humility.
I am the rich little of my generation.
You leave me alone.
I'm doing the motion as I'm patting him on the head even though he can't reach from here.
So.
I'm just saying.
And he's typing up to his own
batard at this point.
That's right.
Yeah, it's amazing when you're the guy that can read, it gets to write the RSS feed.
That is also true.
All right, any tech corner stuff that I'm missing this week, sir?
Um, currently obsessed with Rocket League.
Yeah, that you are.
And I'm sure LA will be shocked to hear that next week.
Why would that be a shock?
Because we dog pilot every time they play a commercial on every WWE pay-per-view.
And since 1864.
And I was the same way until I played it for their, they're doing,
they're doing a free-to-play weekend on Xbox Live this weekend.
And I got instantly hooked.
And interestingly enough, I wanted to tee this one up for you, Chad.
The thing you texted me on Monday,
so we can come full circle from the Cider Cave to the tech talk about
the Switch game coming.
Yes.
There will be a Nintendo Switch home version of Killer Queen this week.
Switch!
Which makes me want to just...
What's more, you have a Switch.
He does, he does indeed.
It controls my garbage disposal, but sure.
Oh my god, I really hope you put that on there.
Oh, that would be amazing because then it actually there is a cause and effect relationship.
Exactly.
You need to take a photo and post it on social media.
No, he's taking video of the coming on as he throws the Switch.
All right, shall we get to the list?
Let's.
All right, it is our season finale for season 8.
It was eight years ago this week.
And we played that, if you listened earlier in the season,
we actually have an episode called Secret Origins,
where I played the pilot episode of this show.
And it was Cody and myself in this room on a Tuesday night
in a completely different configuration.
So, so different that we only had one microphone plugged in.
The other one we used was my wireless.
I mean, it was, it was a completely different setup back then.
And it was funny to go back and listen to that episode
because there were certain things that were talked about in that episode
that would end up coming true like two years later.
It's very, very strange.
But again, two years ago this week we decided to make a go of this thing.
And whenever we have a season finale,
and if you can believe this, sir,
we have now been on iTunes for almost five and a half years.
Wow, I went back and looked at the very first episode
that we have in our RSS feed.
And it was season three, episode 24.
And it was the title of it came from a line from Russ,
who said Lady Gaga looks like a young Carol Channing.
That sounds like our...
And that was January 6th, 2013.
It was the very first time that we were, we offered something on iTunes.
So think about that.
Five and a half years of worth of shows on iTunes, right?
And it's all out there right now.
I have never taken a show off of the RSS feed.
So...
Some of them probably should be, but...
That might be a general rule.
Just kidding me.
Just doing, just doing the universe of solid.
So every time we have a season finale,
we use our list to do our thank yous.
Because there's a lot of people, and a lot of people don't understand.
There's a lot that goes into producing a show like this.
This isn't something that we all just show up and we turn the mics on
and we start talking.
You know, there's a lot of work that goes into what we do,
whether it's me riding the run sheet and doing research,
or everybody else in the room just being up on things
so that they're able to talk about things.
So it doesn't turn into, yeah, Rob, next story.
Because believe me, that's happening too.
But number 10, we have to thank the people in our lives that allow us to do these things.
The lovely and talented Mrs. Irvin that gives up a corner of her home.
Multiple times a week because we have special editions to record and things of that nature.
Number...
And she's gracious to all of us.
Yes, she is.
Incredibly.
And she taunts us with her cooking.
Yeah, she's cooking right now.
She's cooking right now.
I can't smell anything.
I can.
Oh no, she had already finished and gone through.
I cut a peak at the plate and I'm hungry too.
I've got some leftover pluckers from the other day that I'm going to be having for dinner tonight.
Oh, about that knife in my back.
Yeah, I'm just saying.
Shout out to Richard and Sarah who I dinner with the other night.
Number nine is a guy named Don Ellison.
He's also known as Big Don.
Yes, sir.
We always have to think Don every year because
when we had this idea, Don is very big in the racing world.
He does a lot of coverage for races and he's still out there getting it done.
And he kind of helped us push the thing forward when we didn't know what the heck we were doing.
Don gave us some ideas that turned into bigger things.
He's also responsible for the very first remote show we ever did.
He had a huge booth at a racing expo and
he remembered how much crap we brought to that first remote.
Yes.
Dear God.
I mean, I brought full PCs to control.
Oh, yeah.
It was a bad idea.
We didn't have an IT guy with us and boy should we sure could he use it?
Yeah, it was a bit of a mess.
But we had a great time that day.
We did.
And Don helped us out, cute.
So we always want to shout out to Big Don every year.
Brother, we hope you're well.
And anything you need for much, you know, you can always shout out.
Number eight, Cody and Misty.
You know, they were, they were the other thirds of what got the ball moving.
Still friends to this day love them both very, very much.
Sometimes I wonder how we even got to live much less to you string much less to iTunes.
But, you know, I mean, go back.
Sometimes I go back and listen to those shows and I was like, wow.
Like, we really did just kind of swim for about the first year in a half of this bit.
Oh, I don't know if you would call this.
Swimming or just treading.
Wow, dog battling.
Number seven, and we don't talk about this as much as as we probably should.
But Fox and Hound and Richardson.
Yes.
We have to thank them.
February of 2012.
We did our very first.
Live WWE pre show for Elimination Chamber.
We call it that because that's what they wrote on their board.
And for what?
Four, almost four and a half years.
God, Lee.
No, probably three and a half.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because the night before the shield broke up was the last time we did a show there.
Right.
Was after payback.
Every month they were faithful to us, took care of us so well,
helped us pack all three rooms for WrestleMania more than once.
I will never forget that.
Just seeing the sea of people.
When we took them from 18 people at Elimination Chamber to people getting turned away at the door
for WrestleMania, some of my favorite memories of
friend of the show, Chris Coronado.
And we've lost, we're creeping up the anniversary of losing him.
Some of my favorite memories of him were from pay-per-views in that building.
The night that CM Punk won the title and he just collapsed and do a ball of emotion.
I know, full of horror.
I know, I miss you, double sea.
I miss you so much.
And that was not a bit.
We've had some great friends that are so friends to our to this day.
We were actually doing a pay-per-view the night it was announced that
Osama bin Laden had been killed.
That was right after the May pay-per-view we were in that building.
We haven't done it in so long, but we do, we are very, very thankful
that they gave us that platform.
And we had a lot of fun there.
We really do.
We really, really did.
Number six, Dallas Video Fest, the very first film festival we ever covered.
Bart always has his back.
Sometimes we don't know why.
But Bart Weiss is one of our favorite humans on God's Green Earth.
He saw something in us that I don't think we saw in ourselves
and said, yeah, we've never done that.
So why don't you just come do that?
So first podcast ever at Dallas Video Fest.
First podcast ever at the Dallas International Film Festival.
First podcast ever at the Garland Real Hour Film Festival.
We hit another one recently too.
We hit the USA Film Festival.
USA Film Festival.
But there's another one.
There's your Asian Film Festival.
But there's another one we did recently that were like,
no, we've never had, oh, it was at the Oakland Film Festival.
And when you think about that and you say yourself,
really, you guys were the first podcast ever at some of these places.
It shocks us too.
Because you would think that people would be jumping all over this.
And to my knowledge, most of these film festivals were still the only.
Yeah, that's a podcast that's ever done a live show
from some of these film festivals, which is mind blowing.
Because we have some very, very talented friends in this business
that a lot of them do pre-recorded stuff,
whether it's that nerd show, whether it's
ceiling film, whether it's red carpet crash,
no matter a big fanboy, no matter who it is,
that they do work too.
But were the only ones that seem to be able to do it live?
Which, I pride myself on that.
Yeah, as do I.
Not only do we do it, they keep asking us back.
So we're doing something right.
So, but if it wasn't for Dallas Video Fest,
I don't know that any of the rest of it happens.
Go to the letters.
Go to the letters.
But wasn't that the year we watched the Rolling Stones thing, too?
Yes.
That was really neat, except for...
There were some hippies that might have done it a whole lot that night.
A witness on that one.
And that was in early in the days of the Alamo.
Because that's where we watched that movie that night.
And as a side note, we thank the Alamo Grafthouse
for letting us do some cool stuff we've done with them.
We've actually done the show there before as part of Video Fest.
This is true.
They just opened their newest location in Denton and it's amazing.
It's a really, really great location if you're up in that area.
If you're near anywhere where there's an Alamo Grafthouse, you just need to go.
It's the place to see them.
I mean, I've got the one at Los Colinas, which is really great because it's a more
business industrial.
So, you know, you don't want to sit in that traffic in these 100-degree days.
Go see a movie and then drive home.
And maybe an event we'll be talking about coming up there for too much longer.
Yeah, that too.
Maybe.
We'll talk later.
Okay.
Number five.
Some very, very new friends of the show, the Schubert's.
Yes.
I love them.
Speaking of the Garland real life.
Some of our favorite people in the entire world are Mr. Schubert and his
loving, talented mother, who at the, it was the USA Film Festival two years ago,
if I remember correctly.
Was it the USA?
Yeah, because, no, Asians in July would have been at USA.
Okay.
Oh, yeah, you're right.
And we were doing our show right next to, because she was working in the box office,
which was upstairs at the Angelica.
And by the way, shout out to the Angelica.
We love them so much.
They're so good to us.
Every time we do a show there, our second home is here.
Yes.
Adam is one of another one of our favorite humans.
Just every time we're there.
Yeah.
And so Mrs. Schubert was working the box office for USA Film Festival.
And she and Don struck up a conversation.
And the next thing we know, we're industry judges at a high school Film Festival.
I still have the badge I can prove.
Yep.
As do I.
Looking forward to having some of his students help us out with who need sleep.
Yes.
Which is going to be amazing.
That's going to be amazing.
I'm very excited about that.
And just such quality humans, they really are generally passionate.
And they really care about what they do.
And they're amazing people in a time where
it's hard to help keep arts programs in high schools of float.
They're doing it gang busters in an area that's not the best economic area.
If you have some money to burn and want to support a cause,
you can support who need sleep.
We would appreciate that.
But look into some of these arts schools at these high schools.
We have to keep arts alive in the schools.
It's what got me through school.
You know, it's what made it's what made high school bearable.
And people like the shoebirds with the passion that they bring.
You know, I'm looking forward to doing more cool stuff with them in the future
because I'm just such a fan of both of them.
Number four, he is the Charlie to our angels sometimes.
Devon Pike.
When we first started the show, we'd been doing the show probably about six months.
I got a call from a friend of mine named Chance Monsterman.
And Chance and his band, that karma will also be part of who need sleep.
Grace to send things going to be part of who need sleep.
This debacle is going to do an hour who need sleep.
Wow.
Did you watch last year?
Are we going to have the same setup with them?
Yes, to my knowledge.
Well, potentially.
Yes, there's some things we'll talk about off air.
I'll try to tone down the sexy.
But I got a call from Chance and he said,
have you never met Devon?
And I was like, not that I'm aware of.
And he goes, this needs to happen.
So we set up a meeting at the Olive Garden at Greenville and LBJ.
I'll always remember because it was right by where I worked at the time.
And Chance wasn't even there.
So I had to take a guess at who Devon was when I woke up.
So you had a blind date.
Pretty much.
Misty was with me.
I think Cody was with me as well.
Which is how Devon meets most people.
Pretty much.
And we both realized that we had been separated at birth.
And it has, he's really helped give us some exposure that we've needed.
We've been able to help him out with projects he's working on.
He's the reason that who need sleep exists.
He's the reason I'm here.
Yeah, he's the reason that I met the Gen Rome, you know.
And he's the reason that I am now El Hefe.
For those of you that do not know,
the Who Need Sleep Foundation is officially a 501-C3 charity.
We are a nonprofit and I am the president.
And I am the secretary.
I'm not just a client.
I'm also the president.
And Jen is our secretary.
Devon is our executive director.
The Donna is our vice president.
Linda is accountant.
We love Linda to death.
So he's helped us in a lot of different.
He helped us at our first dip, even though I almost strangled him that night.
Yeah, he made you push through.
Yeah.
And he's still to this day, it's like, yeah, I know, I remember two.
But don't regret it, though.
Not at all.
I mean, he's one of another one of our favorite humans.
He gives us opportunities that we wouldn't have otherwise.
You know, the shindigs that we've gotten to be a part of have been...
Wait, are you sure that's a good idea?
It's expanded our network.
Again, the shindigs how I met you and how we know D and everybody else.
I have to add that by the point we get to shindig,
Jen has usually sleep deprived at that point.
So while it is fun and wonderful and I wouldn't trade it for the world,
I'm usually sleep deprived.
Just wait till Labor Day weekend because I have a title to defend.
My.
Well, you can have that title.
I'm not trying to take your title from you.
I am always Bruce Wayne, except that weekend,
I will be Tony Stark because I am the Iron Man.
Number three, we say it every time we do a festival,
and I don't think I'll never feel like we say it enough.
There are two people in the history of this show that
there's no way on God's green earth this show is what it is without them.
One of them we miss very, very much.
It kind of chokes me up every time we talk about him because
when we lost him, we were on the air at the time.
And it's a really tough episode to go listen back to knowing what's happening.
Gary Murray.
Yes.
His legacy lives on number one through Don.
Absolutely.
Because I don't know if you know, but Don is taking a piece of framed poster art
and he is giving it to Hooney's sleep to be auctioned off.
That came from Gary.
Gary was one of those guys.
There were days that I just wanted to hug him and there were days I just want to strangle.
But that's who Gary was very, very passionate about film and everything that it entails.
You know, he was the one that came to us and was like, why are you not on press lists?
They're like, uh, because we don't know what it takes to get on press.
And he was the catalyst.
And he said, here's the key.
Let me walk to the end of the day.
Almost five years ago, sir.
Wow.
Actually, let me go back and look as it might be more than that.
Let's see.
iTunes exclusive.
Man of Steel was 2013.
So it would have been August of 2013 when we did our first press.
And then remember, Don would have done that first.
Because he went to something called, I was called the last song or the last melody or something.
Before we would go to the grandmaster.
Right.
Um, he's one Kelly Kitchens is the other.
Yes.
Love the Kelly Kitchens.
If you have any ill feelings for Kelly Kitchens, you are a communist because it is
physically impossible not to love this woman.
It's just not possible.
You're not a communist or a spawn of Satan.
I mean, Kelly is one of the most, you love Kelly Kitchens.
You stop it.
Oh, no, I love Kelly Kitchens, but the other parts.
Kelly is one of the most giving individuals I've ever met in my life.
Oh, my life's better for knowing her.
She, she has given us so many.
She's the one that worked with Bart to get us.
She, she was the brain child that said,
there's this thing called Dallas Video Fest.
Why don't you guys come do the show when we were like, okay, all right.
Which then led to everything else.
Kelly has given us such amazing opportunities to talk to filmmakers,
to talk to actors, to talk to producers,
to talk to all these different kinds of people that we wouldn't have had access to otherwise.
And the fact that every time we see her and her awesome husband marked it,
they're just arms are open.
What else can we do?
Hats are being worn.
They're, they're, they're, they're happy to see you.
They're happy.
I mean, that, the Kelly laugh.
There is something, there's nothing in the world like it.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, I was having a bad day the other day.
She actually reached out and I debated calling her just to hear her laugh.
She has a laugh.
I would put the Kelly kitchen's laugh up against the laugh of a newborn any day.
It doesn't, it doesn't, it doesn't, it doesn't.
I wanted her to ring tone on my phone.
It doesn't just feel like a room.
It can fill up an air crash.
Yeah.
She's just, she's such an amazing person.
And if you need any PR, we know great PR people.
You know, her and Brad are two of the cool,
any of our vendors to your God.
That's, that's a tie for number three.
Number two, this never gets old.
We've done this now four hundred and forty seven times.
Add to that three hundred and I'll, I'm just going to call it four hundred.
We have done this almost nine hundred times.
But it never gets old when I talk about the people in this room.
We joke about the one time I had to do this by myself.
And I've had people tell me, oh, it was a great show.
That was a disaster.
Scared me half to death for an hour and forty five minutes.
And it's not even our worst episode was better than that.
God.
It's, it is virtually impossible to do a show.
Number one that doesn't have commercial breaks.
Number two for two solid hours.
We've had episodes of this show go three and a half.
That's hard to imagine.
When I listen to Bob and Tom, it's done without commercials after like two twenty.
Good door.
That's that's so you think about the fact that we do the equivalent of a four
hour radio show straight.
And I argue that we do it well.
I, you know what?
I think we, we have a good time.
And, and I think that comes through.
When people listen back to the show, they say, you know what?
You guys really do sound like you're having fun.
You know, no matter how much we're dragging, but when we come into this room,
by the time it's over, I don't know that there's ever been a time where I've said,
I wish I hadn't done that.
Our energy level is always back up at the, up at the full level.
I mean, we've had times where we've literally come off of doing other things into this studio.
By the skin of our teeth to get started on time, and it still works.
You know, and, and again, people don't understand the amount of work that goes into this.
We don't just turn on microphones and here we go.
We've tried that. It doesn't work.
Go back, go back and listen to the first five episodes of this show.
You'll find out very easily.
Well, let's drop that tagline.
If you listen, if you listen, you know, this is two hours of your life.
We hope you don't want back.
That was our original tagline.
You know, whether it's, and, and we don't, we talk about this a little bit,
but I also don't think we say this enough about the work that Don Ford puts in.
That dude, when we're, if, if we don't have him, when we're on location, this show sucks.
Yeah.
For real. I mean, there's no other way to put it.
We've got nobody to talk to except each other.
Right.
And that's not why we're there.
And people watching, but that dude, I mean, if you ever want to watch work happen,
don't pay attention to us at a road.
Watch that dude.
Oh, yeah, he hustles.
He looks like a bee pollen in a field of flowers.
There's times when, I'm just looking at him.
I do, I need you to slow down.
Yeah, and there's times where he and I all butt heads or we'll make jokes at each other's expense,
but nobody else can do what he does.
Nobody can.
No, and, and nobody.
And I'm glad that we had the Gen Rome because there's going to come a day where Don's
not going to be able to be there.
And she's got that backup working.
You know, she's, she's prepared.
She spent time with him.
So I, this, having that happen has been such a release for me because in the back of my mind,
I know there's going to be a day where we've got a film festival and Don's like,
I'm out of town and I don't have to have an anxiety attack because I know that there's
somebody there that can back that up.
And I may have to pull the Alex in and the two of us can accomplish what Don does.
And that's fine, whatever works, you know, there's no way I could do it on my own.
Having Alex to be part of the crew kind of gave, it gave us a really new fresh perspective
that we'd been needing for a while because it was just the same old, same old for a minute.
You, sir, have brought kind of a new life into this thing that has made it even more fun for us
because, you know, it's, I just got something in both my eyes.
It helps because to have that fresh blood in here, even for pay-per-views.
Because we have, you know, we have a group of people that make it for the pay-per-views
and we love having them.
But when we have new people come in that bring new perspectives,
it adds a whole different deal to this thing.
There are layers to it.
You know, Jen Roan calling me before the Oscars last year and saying,
Hey, I want to come do the thing and I said,
we'll bring your butt over to the house.
You actually said those words.
I probably did.
You're a Renaissance man, you know.
I know. I do what I can.
Yeah, I had said something one time about wanting to be on the show and then like three days later,
he's calling me going, hey, come over.
Yeah, I mean, people don't understand what I say, come do the show.
I'm not like talking about a lip service.
Just come hang out, man, because it makes it so much more fun.
You know, when you've survived the show that shall not be named with someone,
there's a bond to that group of people
that will never be broken because we survived the New Year's Eve weekend.
Oh, yeah.
Make no mistake.
And that that story will probably never be fully gone into on this show
because there might be certain things that statute of limitations isn't a bond yet.
But the Donna and D and I are bonded for life, man.
You know, and I was just the muscle for three days, but that's sinking.
But
Yeah, I had to walk around and talk to people.
It robs behind me being intimidating.
There were certain people that all I did was look at them.
And I'm so glad he did because I felt so much safer.
But kicker extraordinaire that he is.
What I need to be, I'll put the crane on somebody.
So you're, don't stop.
So your who Chuck Norris has nightmares, right?
No, Chuck Norris is such as that.
And then we get to you, sir.
I mean, this was and I've said it a billion times and I'll say it a billion more.
This was your brainchild more than it was anybody's.
You know, I've told this story before.
I had just retired from the DJ business for good.
And I've kept that promise.
I've done a couple of work things, but those don't count.
And I had all this equipment and you said you should, we should do a podcast.
And I said, what in God's name is a podcast.
And you introduced me to some podcast.
And as it's no doubt that I wear my sleeve the size of a fan of Kevin Smith that I am.
And I'm not a Kevin Smith fan without you.
So it kind of like was a,
and if you see Dave Scott's current profile picture,
that's us waiting outside to go see Kevin Smith.
That's true.
That night with our gangsta look.
And I heard a podcast and I was like, okay, we can do that.
But you weren't the original co-host, right?
It was a decision that I made and I will own for the rest of time.
I don't regret my decision because I think it gave us time to really find out what this show was.
And when Cody decided to move on,
you didn't hesitate.
You stepped in, you said, let's do this thing.
Can we make a couple of changes so that I don't sit here twiddling my thumbs for an hour and a half?
Which we did because I had to play to your strengths as well.
You stepped in and here we went.
And before we knew it,
Fox and Hound kept moving.
The Empire kept growing and it meant that the show survived.
You know, again, I don't know how much longer this show would have gone had I had to do it by myself.
Because people can hear me talk whenever they want to hear me talk.
But to hear me talk with other people,
like that's huge.
You know, we talked about how this show, the goal of this show,
was all the crap that we talked about sitting in my driveway on a Saturday night,
watching the world go by.
Why can't we just put that on a wax?
And I think I think we're still chasing that element of it,
but it's as close as it can be at this point because when we talk in the driveway,
it's not structured.
Right.
I mean, we have to have structure or otherwise we're now an hour 19, but
well, the day we stop chasing is the day we stop enjoying the chase.
Absolutely.
And this is why we tell people, you know,
we need you guys to help us grow this thing.
Because we don't have an advertising.
We don't have a budget, much less an advertising budget.
You know, and we're not, if this ever became a revenue stream, fine,
but that's not the goal.
The goal is we want to entertain as many people as we possibly can,
including ourselves.
Yeah, sometimes it's, you know, and there are times where,
you know, when you spend enough time with people,
yeah, there's going to be differences of opinions and sometimes that can get heated.
But I think what people see when they listen to this thing is
at the end of it all, we are still a family.
You know, it's that whole, I can pick on my sister, but you can't pick on my sister.
You know, because in-
Because Tim's fighting words.
Exactly.
And I think that we all, when things get weird, we all take it and stride.
And, you know, Alex shot the wheels off earlier saying something about Don,
but Don would, Don would just laugh that off because he understands the value he brings.
We understand.
Absolutely, Don.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
There are podcasts all over the world.
No doubt in my mind.
I mean, bajillions about this point.
I can't even imagine the numbers iTunes is carrying at this point.
And that's just the people on our iTunes.
There's a ton that aren't even on iTunes because people use that as a revenue stream.
You can't do that through iTunes.
But I think what sets this apart is the fact that we come through as
number one is people that kind of know a couple of things about a couple of things.
We don't try to lord that over people.
No.
And yeah, we're wrong sometimes more often than we're right.
But, but we own it when we are, we have fun doing it.
And
personally, I have no problem doing this until I shuffle this mortal coil.
You know, it's, and then probably another couple weeks.
Yeah, you know, I'll get to heaven and go to go, no, we've got a studio.
We need you to go.
We need to turn it in.
Yeah.
It's okay.
We've got, we've got, we've got an overnight we need to fill.
Um, but the opportunities that that this show has given
is a debt that I'll never be able to repay in any way, shape or form.
It gives much more than it takes.
The show just has given back to us in ways I never dreamed it would.
And as long as number one is you guys,
if people don't listen to this show, then there's no use to doing that.
I don't care if it's 50 people.
I mean, I estimate we probably have about a thousand listeners.
Total.
I would love for that to be a million.
Don't get me wrong.
But I know that each and every person that listens to this show is a fan of this show.
And it says a lot.
And when, when I talk to people and they're like, that thing you did, what were you thinking?
Or that thing that you guys talked about, that was hilarious.
Or I'll get random texts for people that are in the middle of listening to this show.
And I'll be like, what do you, oh, you're listening to this show, you know?
Or we'll have one of those situations where we had it at AMC.
That's one of your favorite stories.
One of my favorite stories to tell is long story short,
somebody recognized my voice because we were having a heated discussion after a movie.
It's like, oh, that's you.
That to me, and when I teach communication skills in my day job,
I say to me, that's one of the biggest compliments I can be given.
Because what that means is I'm the same guy on air that I am when I'm not.
You know, because really, to be effective as a communicator,
you can be the same person now when there's a microphone out of my face.
Does the language get saltier?
Sometimes.
But I'm still the same dude.
Whether I'm sitting in this chair or I'm on a stage or I'm standing at a podium
or I'm sitting at my desk, I'm still the same dude.
But again, without the Empire, we have nothing.
I'm grateful for the Empire.
The support that the Empire gives us is more than we ever deserve.
More than I ever deserve.
You know, you guys are just, you make this fun.
For two hours of my life a week,
I truly get to have fun.
And
here's looking to the next eight.
At least.
At least.
Because you realize in two years, we hit a decade, a decade of this show.
And you think about that potentially.
Because this year, this season alone, if you add all the shows together,
by the time our iTunes exclusives hit this week,
142 episodes this year.
This year, 142.
So you think about that?
Round it up to 150.
That's 300 more episodes in the next two years.
That's going to put us into quadruple digits, sir.
From an idea to this sweat box of a studio in July.
It's just a conversation we were having in that living room.
And eventually, we're going to get that other series up and running.
We keep threatening to do this, this commentary series that never works out.
We're going to do it.
We've been threatening that probably since this one started.
And I want you guys, and we're going to talk about this.
And I know we're running along.
Actually, we're really not running that long, but still.
I'm going to start pimping the crap out of this.
So get used to it now.
September 1st, lock it in.
8 a.m. September 1st until 8 p.m. September 2nd.
Who needs sleep?
And not just because I have a title in this thing.
This is because this is a thing I believe in.
I got to spend 36 hours last December with some of my favorite people on God's green
earth and help raise money to benefit charities.
For a fantastic reason.
For two, cancer support communities in North Texas,
cooked children's hospital in Fort Worth.
Come September 1st, we're going to be on the air for 36 hours on the internet,
live around the world.
And we talked yesterday.
We have establishments that are going to be showing the telephone in their
establishments while we're on the air live.
That is cool.
That was my idea.
But can we say any of the establishments?
Not yet, but I do have the notes that show that it was Rob's idea.
Now we find out Jen's the secretary just to verify.
And again, not just because Jen and I have titles in this thing,
because that doesn't matter to us.
We have the titles because we believe in it.
We want to raise $25,000 by Labor Day.
That's the goal.
And if you're listening to the show and you have something you'd like to donate.
Absolutely.
Or do an in-kind or even if you just want to give money.
Keep following the Clubhouse podcast.
Go to whoneedsleap.org right now.
Or you can donate right now.
Or there's links on our pages on Facebook and such to take you to places where you can donate.
Or reach out to Rob or myself.
That's right.
If you want to give something for auction item.
Or fully taxed deductible.
Again, I said it earlier, we are 501c3.
We are official, homie.
We don't have any restaurants or anything that sport us or sponsor this show.
But we do mention a lot of you, so you want a way to give back.
How much a boy?
Give us a gift card.
Yeah, even if it's a gift card because we've talked about it in our meeting just yesterday as a matter of fact.
Even if you give us a gift card, we're going to combine that with other things and make a big bundle out of stuff.
And everybody wins.
Yeah.
I have a friend.
I'm not going to say his name just yet until I have this in hand.
You have a friend?
Oh my gosh.
Who does work for a certain company?
And I mean does real work for a certain company out of Orlando, Florida,
who is sending me one of his prints that he has done for said company,
that he is going to sign and I'll show it to you after the show.
Okay.
Because all I did was send him a PM and he was like, yo, I'm in.
And he's going to talk to some of his artist friends.
Oh god.
We're going to have, again, we're going to have comedy.
We're going to have music.
We're going to have podcasts.
We're going to have interviews, game shows.
I mean, this thing is going to be bigger than it was last year.
We're going to have Rob sleep deprived after 36 hours.
Oh, absolutely.
I've already gotten the okay from the sensational show.
I don't need to be your Igor.
Let's do it.
I mean, this is something and it's fun for us, but there's a purpose behind it.
I'm toying with doing an entire episode just talking about this as we lead up to it.
We've got events that we're planning to lead up to it.
You don't have to wait until Labor Day weekend to donate.
We're getting this thing moving right now.
I had to chomp it a bit for three weeks because I couldn't talk about being asked to be the president
until the dog on press release went out.
But it's out there now, brother.
And I'm going to put it on the sleeve.
I'm going to get me a polo shirt.
And I've been told I can put LHFA on the sleeve.
I'm going to do that.
I personally think we should just have bomber jackets made of the clubhouse podcast,
and that should be a patch on the sleeve.
You can go to Zazzle right now and get a football jersey.
Among other things.
That's right.
I mean, I am shut out, Danana.
That's right.
Shut up, Danana.
Danana, our fabulous fashion model.
I am looking forward to Labor Day weekend so much.
I want to go to there now.
So please, get onto who needsleaf.org, find us on social media.
Whether it's, I know the Twitter feeds out there.
I know the Facebook page.
I don't know that we have Instagram.
Do we have Instagram yet?
I don't know if Rachel has that going or not.
Rachel is our social media gods.
Shut up to Rachel Wimpley.
Big fan of her.
She is amazing at what she does.
And you know what she did for my birthday?
She donated the charity in my name for my birthday.
Nice.
That's how awesome she is.
And she went.
Unlike me who had other things I was dealing with.
She was, she was that side arcade.
And I got a very nice car from where she says
that she made a donation to the charity in my name.
And I am very, very thankful for that.
You can do that too.
Maybe there's somebody that you want to donate to
in their name because of they've impacted your life.
I mean, this is a big deal.
These are real lives that we're looking to change.
Just be a part of it, man.
Because you're going to hear people talking about it.
I'm going to tell you now because some stuff that we've got planned,
you're going to hear people talking about it.
And you don't want to be them like,
oh, I miss that.
No, you want to be a part of it live.
Especially when it gets into the middle of the night
and things get really weird.
We've got some awesome people involved in this.
And I cannot wait until Labor Day weekend.
Anything else you guys want to say before we get out of here?
Yes, I had one thing I wanted to mention about the World Cup
and the behavior of some of the teams and how classy.
And it was two different teams.
I know it was Japan.
And what did we say the other team was?
Senegal.
Senegal.
They would clean up, their fans would clean up after themselves
and others when leaving the stadium, winter lose.
And the teams cleaned up after themselves as well.
And then when Japan lost, unfortunately,
they cleaned up the locker room to the point
that it didn't seem like anybody had been there.
And they left a thank you note that was written in Russian
for Russia saying, thanks for having us.
We appreciate just the level of class and dignity
and respect that they showed as athletes was just,
it was impressive.
It's a great example of put good into the world.
Mm-hmm.
Especially during some of the craziest,
probably the craziest World Cup we've seen in many, many years.
And it didn't.
And hasn't it been fun?
And it didn't cost them anything to do it
and look at how wonderful they've...
I mean, it's good sportsmanship.
It's the perfect example of this is good sportsmanship.
I'm glad that sportsmanship is winning over gamesmanship
because I know some people try to use that as an excuse
to do some really underhanded things.
Mm-hmm.
It's not to see sportsmanship taking for a center stage.
Not going to take a dig at Neymar.
I'm not going to take a dig at Neymar.
I'm not going to wait that he's taking a dig at Neymar.
Well, you're not rolling across the floor,
so I think we're good.
Or anywhere.
Some of those memes were all there he is.
You know what?
It's been a long time since I've enjoyed Limp Biscuit,
but that was one of the best ones.
That's a roll-ed.
I've seen a roll-ed in a roll-ed in a roll-ed in a roll-ed in a roll-ed in a roll-ed in a roll-ed.
Oh, it would...
I'll have to show it to you, Alphair.
I would expect that or hit let the bodies at the floor.
You know what?
I'll have to give a shout out to Aaron Bresick
that works on my team that showed me that one.
That was really good.
He's been the correspondent for taking shots at Neymar
in the Brazilian team for the last two weeks.
All right, let's do the plugs and get out of here.
This is the last day of my vacation.
I'm going to work tomorrow.
Yeah, same here.
