All right, we'll just start. I have no idea what just happened.
All I did was unmute my mic. Okay, so Alex, I need you to look at something for me real
quick. In the upper left corner of your screen, do you see a resolution indicator?
Alex? Hello? Don, you have me, right? Yeah, I could hear you. I think we just lost
Alex. Okay, are we even going right now? No, we're going. I have, I have you. I just think
I'm on an extreme delay. So in the upper left corner of your screen, do you see something
that indicates the resolution of the video? Wow, we are waiting. Alex, it's gone. It's
awesome. Hey, for him to come back. Your podcast is very important to us. And the next
available live feed will be with you shortly. Maybe you get your money's worth with this
show. We need to be playing the girl from Epinima or something. I don't know what's going
on. Oh, no, no, I got, I got. Don can't believe it. Don't be a freedom. Shana me. All right, it's
good song. Yeah, no, did you, but do you know the origin of that song? No, actually, no,
do you? In the 70s, there was a women's tennis league. Okay. And the Philadelphia team
was called the Philadelphia freedom. It was headed by Billie Jean King and like three other
people and that song for them. Oh, wow. Okay. That's true story. Cool beans. Let's go
ahead and throw and hope Alex joins us soon. I thought I had it. It is 802 on the East Coast.
It is 502 on the West Coast. It is the 19th of June in the year of our Lord 2025 season 15
episode 49 718 times you have been welcome to the clubhouse podcast. I'm going to text them and
find out what's going on. Riveting. I just, oh, there he is. Okay. I think he's coming back now.
One to beam up. Energize. I hate. And you said, oh, here he is. Because I literally had the
intelligent thought of, I'm not going to add myself to the stage until I hear what they're talking
about so I can come in seamlessly and then wet fart. You're acting like this is a professionally
run show, sir. It's supposed to be. Damn it. The question I was asking before we lost you.
Is there something in the upper left corner of your screen that indicates resolution?
There was. What is it? What did it say? Did it say 1080p or 720p? 720. Okay. I'm downgrading the video
this week because we have that just to see what it does. So we've already proven maybe the theory
might be the best. But we waited for you. I think it's actually just my equipment being garbage.
Great with audio. It's the everything else that sucks. Let us get into it. But before we do,
which means we're not going to get into it. The next two weeks, we are going to be on at a special
time. Next week, we will be on at six o'clock Eastern. The following week will be on at five
thirty Eastern because we will be live from riders field for the next two Thursdays. Broadcasting
live for the Refresco Rough Riders next week at seven oh five. They will be taking on the Tulsa
drillers. We will be live on the air at five o'clock Central, so six o'clock Eastern. We're not
going to be doing wrestling for the next couple of weeks because we focus on sports and pop culture
for those shows. Come on out. It's Thursday Thursday. You'll be able to get a ticket to the game.
And if you're over 21, you can get to the Lazy River, which will be adults only for a very low
price. And if you go to riders baseball dot com slash specials, use the code. Let's ride twenty five.
Again, that's all one word. Let's L E T S R I D E twenty five at riders baseball dot com slash
specials. You're going to get a great price or a great ticket and a great time. We'll be there.
We're going to hang out a little for the game. I got one more jersey. I got to get that. I got
all three. And if you've been following us on social media, that personalization is. Yeah.
Had had spit go down. It is routing at the river every Thursday night. So you will have two dollar
deals on court on beer and numerous twisted tea deals because they are a primary sponsor.
Tasty. And they have the big inflatable share out there. T
So come out. Yes, they do. All right, let's dive right in.
We have big NBA news that came down yesterday. And I texted Alex from the doctor's office and he
was like, I'm sorry, what? The Los Angeles Lakers have been sold to Mark Walter singular,
not the proprietary of Dallas comic show. You'll find out why here in a second. He also does
own the Dodgers, but he has bought the Lakers done for $10 billion. In the 1970s,
Genie Buses dad, the great Dr. Jerry bus, bought the team for around $87 million. So your ROI
on that's pretty good. It's pretty good. She will still be the governor, whatever. That's
62.7. Yeah. I heard 87 today. Sorry. She will still be the governor, but I don't know what that
means. 62.7 was the baseline when everything was paid off with interest. It was 87.
There we go. Game six of the finals is tonight. Indiana is hanging in there, brother.
I really thought this thing would be over. I'm still holding on because I got to I've
written with OKC this long. I've got to finish this out. We'll see if they finish it out tonight.
And I don't know if Alex heard what I said as soon as he logged in the first time.
Because I got one word for you people.
Chaps. What the heck happened to my thing?
Hey, I'm in the wrong place. If you would have done the normal entrance, I was going to say,
congratulations to you. We've got you, Alex. We have you.
So that's that's two now. Two in a row, back to back. Florida now.
I have no idea. Ever to have two back to back Stanley Cup champions in the same state,
the first being your state of Philadelphia now.
So some, but I think might one of my favorite stories. So far has been Alexander Baarkov.
Have you heard the story Don?
No, yes, or you know,
Zatif—
Captain Bawarkov. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Every one.
No, no, no.
Uh, so for those of you that don't glove,
For those of you that don't know, and whenever you get the cup, every player gets to have it
for a day.
So Alexander Barkhoff went door to door in a neighborhood, ringing people's doorbells
and asking them if he can come in so they can drink coffee with the Stanley Cup.
It's even better than that.
No, no, no.
It's even better than that.
Bob's day was because he was the captain.
He got first round.
So all of the team celebrations you saw were together.
His day, he wound up celebrating until five in the morning, went home and realized, I
love my neighbors.
I want my neighbors to have a chance at this joy and went door to door in his own neighborhood
so that his neighbors, who he loves, could get a drink of coffee out of the Stanley Cup
if they wanted.
And I'm like, how do you love that?
Did you see the other video from him?
Hold on.
Let me fix this point.
Like the rangers from a few years ago who decided not to the oops, who was that one?
We don't know for sure.
Okay.
That's on that.
That's happened.
That's happened to numerous times.
Yeah.
Almost everything was busted the cup at some point.
That's why there's two.
Yes.
There's two.
Yeah.
They have one that's on the display and the other that goes to the play.
Yeah.
There's more than one cup.
Well, I thought there's only one.
No, no, no.
Oh, yeah.
No, no, no, no.
There's only one that drew up, yeah.
But they don't give them that because hockey play.
Okay.
Right.
So the one that they raised when they win it on the ice that they presented to the team,
if you still have the other part of the barcov story, are you with me?
I have you, but I wasn't done with my part of it.
I just came back.
We have you, but I haven't finished my part of it.
So while we're waiting for Alex to get caught up, there are multiple people that are posting
their ring doorbell videos of him coming to their coffee.
Yeah.
Yeah.
This is a great story.
I think we've lost Alex again.
There he is.
Now he's back.
I don't know.
I don't know.
So the other part, and I really hope this is coming through before you even got to that.
Barcov had a celebration for all of the employees in the arena, popcorn vendors and everybody
at like one 30 in the morning, and he brought the cup out for them.
Yeah.
And so it's just them in the arena and attitude like you were captain.
Yeah.
He was acting like the place and lifting it over his head and stating down the ice.
There is video of that too.
And it's fantastic.
So congratulations to my beloved Panthers.
There's a reason he's the captain and shout out to Cosm.
We were out there Saturday night watching, watching game five, holy cow.
That's when you think you experienced Cosm.
They asked you to hold their beer.
It's all I'm saying.
You've got to check this place out on the planet here next of.
Let's get into MLB standings.
In the A L East, the Baltimore area are 11 and a half back with 31 wins.
They are six and a half games back.
A Boston Boston is two back on Toronto.
Toronto is a game back on Tampa Bay.
The rays after the Yankees go on a six game skid.
The rays are a game out of first place in the A L East.
Now they won last night, but in the A L Central, Chicago white socks, they're 24 and a half
back.
That's awesome.
They are 13 and a half back of Kansas City, the royals are a half game back on Minnesota.
Minnesota half game back on the Guardians and Cleveland is now 10 back on Detroit who
is still setting the lead on fire with 48 wins.
In the A L West athletics, they are currently 14 games out.
They are six and a half back on Texas.
The Rangers now, they are a half game back on law.
I need more.
Over.
Law.
That's a little better.
Wrong one.
Let's just do that instead.
Okay.
Changed out some hardware in here, still getting used to where everything is.
Law is a game and a half back on Seattle Seattle now, five and a half back on Houston, Houston,
Houston, Houston.
Speaking of Houston, this weekend is comic, Paloza got a lot of friends that are down
there.
Go hang out if you're in Houston.
See Craig Price, see my boy Kenley working over there, see my friend Valerie working
over there.
I never know who you can see it, comic, Paloza, so go check that out in the N L West.
Put a pin in it.
The Arizona diamond back, they are two and a half back of San Diego, the Padres are
two back on San Francisco and the Giants now four back on the Dodgers, but the Dodgers
are on a five game heater and they got show hay back in the N L Central.
Don your pirates don't have to worst record Nellie, but you're still on the base.
Still the in the governor and our thing, though, aren't we in our division?
I don't have you, Don.
Yeah, hear me.
I cannot hear you in any way, shape or form currently.
I can hear you.
Can you, like I can hear Don, Don can hear me.
I hear a lot of you guys.
Oh, I know why.
Let's try that.
Try me now.
Okay.
Hit the road.
I hit the road right now.
Are we the worst in our division?
Yes, you're 16 and a half back.
You are 10 back on Cincinnati, the Reds are a half game back on St. Louis Cardinals, a
half game back on Nillowok, and the Brewers are five and a half back on the Cubs.
And in the only division that matters, the N L East, the Marlins are still terrible.
It's 29 wins and they are 15 games back.
We're only a half game back on the Nattinals.
The Nattinals also broke a huge skid last night.
They are two and a half back on the Braves.
The Braves are now 10 back on Philly, but we've won two in a row, but part of that's because
we played Colorado.
Philly is now a game back on the Metz.
Your Metz are on a five game skid, sir.
Yup.
All right, boys.
Let's play North America's favorite game show.
Wait, did you, Don, did you see the thing with Paul Schien's the other day?
No.
So he gets really into a pitch, throws it a hundred and two and comes off the mound
with almost a Sammy Sosa skip and the umpire almost runs him and the manager goes ballistic.
Oh, really?
Schien's was confused because he took the ball, turned around and started getting yelled
at and just didn't know what was happening, manager goes to manage, but there's a great
video cut of this manager goes off on the umpire for yelling at Schien's who just lost
his balance skipped, maybe got a little ahead of himself, whatever, but it didn't justify
getting yelled at.
Schien's get a gets a big smirk on his face like, oh, the manager has my back, hundred
three down the pipe for the game.
Did you see, I think it's this kid from uh, Milawoke, I think with the Brewers, who's
like, uh, the no hitter on his first, oh, no, and was throwing consistently triple digits
and then I'm going to get off the mound and screened his ankle and still came back and
finished it out.
Yeah.
You did not see this.
I need to get this kid's name.
I mean, he was hurly.
Well, did you, did you see the thing for a gauge wood, I want to say for Arkansas in
the college world series?
Yeah, there you go.
But did you see what what he'd hit?
I don't think so.
Is the opening game of the college world series for them?
He threw a no hitter with 19 strikeouts.
Good Lord.
Yeah.
It's like, yeah, they didn't quite make it, but that kid had himself a day.
All right, gentlemen, let's play North America's favorite game show.
That is the run differential for the Colorado Rockies.
Of course.
Don 50 to 50, who 50, who feel like, uh, I'm going to go old school prices right because
I think that's way too high.
I'm going to say minus one just for the, just for the win.
Oh, wait a minute.
Now I turn that one too far down.
That's not even right one.
Let's try this one.
There we go.
So what's that about us being a professional organization?
You're the one that said we had to be.
I said, I never said that.
I said we were supposed to be a lot of things, but I ain't a millionaire either.
The Colorado Rockies are 17 and 58 right now, boys.
They are, that is a 227 win percentage.
They are currently 29 games back in the division.
They have not hit double digit wins at home yet.
They are 7 and 27 at home.
They're 10 and 31 on the road.
They're five and five in their last 10.
And for the first time this season, the Colorado Rockies have gained ground on the run before
and jump.
It is currently sitting at minus one 95.
I was only off by a hundred and ninety four.
No, you're off by a hundred and ninety six because you said negative one.
That's the other way around.
If you didn't play it safe, what would you, what would you have been it?
Obviously I was thinking around 200.
I would have been over.
I definitely would have been over because there's no way I would have thought that they
did well because the one thing I was thinking about was I don't know how many wins the Rockies
have.
But when Rob says it, the math is 54 now for those that don't know 54 was once discussed
as a relegation level on 162 game season.
It did not go far because Americans don't relegate, although they should because they
agree the jets.
But at that same time, 54 wins is exactly half as many wins as you have losses on the
season.
So they're way behind that.
This is fantastic to watch.
It just is.
You know what I have to keep saying the same thing every time we talk about the Rockies
though, those fans, unironically, are still showing up.
They're still cheering the team.
They're still having a good time for Denver.
Denver is among the pantheon of best sports cities in the country right now.
And it's undeniable.
Well, let's go ahead and keep it moving, gentlemen, and get into television and got better.
I still can't get over that stuff.
We watched this week.
Lovation.
One of the shows that I normally watch, we're going to talk about here in a minute and
I'm an episode behind that I'm way behind on John Oliver.
But we have a new episode of Rexham tonight, so yeah, I've caught up on Rexham.
It is still amazing.
It is.
And you know what the funniest part about this is for me on that one.
And I don't know.
Are you watching Welcome to Rexham as well?
Of course, yeah.
I'm up to date, yeah.
But and it's all I'll ask you guys, is it kind of almost feel like cheating when they
win an Emmy because the town and the team just exists and it's so heartfelt and so genuine.
They don't have to write anything.
That's the beauty of it.
It's so incredible.
If you're not watching Welcome to Rexham, what are you doing?
Valueing your life choices.
It makes me wonder where that equivalent would be and it dawned on me.
We've kind of already had it in a way because Rexham was ostensibly a very minor league
team in the EFL.
The equivalence, the bananas.
Yeah.
So when I wanted to bring up on, we know somebody who's son now works for the bananas.
What about the friend of the show, Tonya from Ally?
Oh, okay, her son Fisher now works for the bananas.
Very cool.
Don, I wanted to put that.
The last dark side of the ring, the Mojave to his song, yeah, that was one of the best.
That was a really great episode of television.
Yeah.
And that guy who he's Italian from from Syracuse Syracuse.
I actually worked for you, Nikita Kola, wait, wait, wait, Rob, Rob, Rob, he's quoting
the show.
He's not, he's not taking the issue.
He's a, during the interview, one of the big points was Jim Coronet who was making the
point of trying to protect Mark Gopani or Copani.
I don't remember if it's Koharcho, I'm having a moment now.
But anyways, but the idea of protecting him knowing how incendiary it would be on top
of the fact that you are making him a character that he isn't actually.
And they touched on a lot of that within the episode.
I would say for his, Don, yeah, correct me if I'm wrong.
As much as we have long spoke positively about dark side of the ring, this is an award-winning
episode on.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If there is isolated episodes for an awards for in a documentary series, this should
be nominated because it was incredibly well done, incredibly well laid out, especially
from the cultural aspect to how wrestling applies.
And it's, and I, I've talked to you about this numerous times, both of you, how Mr.
Kirstetter in my geography or my, yeah, my geography, my geography class in high school
would base entire things around old WWF programming because they were always on the pulse of what
current events were.
And they did something very similar in this episode with the whole 9-11 to the London
bombings to Muhammad Hussain.
And I just thought it was brilliant.
He played with it and he was supposed to get the belt until and all this.
But the guy is, you know, he goes, I wouldn't change it.
I would go back and do it again, but, you know, because that was his career, was his dream.
But then on the other hand, the guy is a, a cop with school teacher, principal, after
hitting rock bottom, though, that's, that's the real narrative here is how I have respect
for the guy.
Yeah.
Well, I, I think Cornette put it the best, if I may, on this one where he said he's the
only guy I've ever seen who did a phenomenal job, a phenomenal job getting over and doing
exactly what he was told who got fired for it.
Yeah.
Because he liked the character or not.
The guy did exactly what he was asked that he did a phenomenal job, exactly.
Exactly.
Acting.
All right.
Do you have anything to add, Rob?
No, I don't watch dark side of the ring.
So no, no, no, I meant for TV.
I already, I already covered my.
Okay.
My earlier one I was talking about, we're going to talk about something later and I'm behind
on John Oliver and I'm caught up on rex.
That's right.
The something later.
Yeah.
Ken Jennings news this week, as you know, he is the current host of Jeopardy.
He's going to be appearing this summer on celebrity who wants to be a millionaire and
for losing their minds.
Why?
He's a chipper.
Because it's Ken Jennings.
I mean, why would they lose his money for cherry?
Let's have no money for charity.
Ken Jennings, I think they're taking issue thinking he's getting the money.
No, there's saying that like he's cheating on the franchise is what they're saying.
Yeah.
There's a word that rhymes with duck followed by off like this.
Apple TV has announced that season two of Yo Gabba Gabba land exclamation point is now
set to debut January the 30th for into the show DJ Lance rock.
Shout out to him.
Big fan.
And he's one of the nicest people on the planet.
And shout out, even though he's not in this version, shout out to my dude Josh Valley who
was in the original Yo Gabba Gabba, who's a very, very wonderful person.
What are we talking about about Austin earlier?
I talked about a show that I'm watching on one episode behind.
I don't know how I feel about this next headline.
Okay.
There will be season six of Lego masters, but it will be without will our net.
Your new host for Lego masters next season will be one Nick Cannon.
Oh, okay.
See, I was thinking more along the lines that you were like, I don't know how I feel about
will our net be not being there.
And I was going to throw it to you to say, who would you like to see not realizing it had
already been announced?
Yeah.
And now I see why you have that moment of, but you know what, child support is not cheap.
Yeah.
Uh, FX has announced that Ryan Murphy's American love story will debut in February based
on R.F.K.
Jr.
who will be played by Paul Kelly.
I'm sorry, JFK Jr.
Okay.
And Carolyn Bassett played by Sarah pigeon Naomi Watts will be playing Jackie.
But apparently the family was not consulted on any level about this I read today.
I mean, it's FX.
Don't they do it in reverse?
They put their project together and then get approval.
I mean, it's kind of what the model has been because you never know if they're desperate
for American crime story or if they're like, this is going to make me look bad like
Clip.
It's like, I loved Clip.
I did too.
But you get what I mean of sometimes people don't want to sign off on things that make
them look like they are HBO max announcing that the director of materialists.
Where's my button?
Being song is developing a series called damage that will be set in the world of esports.
So you got that going for you, which is nice.
Interesting.
Netflix has how they do it or if they use anything real.
Netflix has renewed Tom Segura's bad thoughts for season two.
And they're looking to reboot land of the lost.
I love you.
Will Ferrell stay away from it.
Because will Ferrell won't let a series or not the movie, but the original series from
a little Ferrell.
But his character's name in Jay and Silent Bob strike back and from that because he's
Marshall Will and Holly.
And those are the three.
Marshall Will and Holly are the main characters from in the world too.
But we have more.
I will say bad thoughts did make me laugh.
But it's also Tom Segura's darkest material put into visual effect.
So go in knowing full well that you will get offended by something at some point.
That's kind of the purpose.
And we also released received a press release earlier this week about something we've talked
about before, but now is closer to reality.
If you are in Philly at the King of Prussia mall or you are here in the Dallas, Fort Worth
area for the Dallas, Galleria, get ready for netflix house.
It opens later this year in gentlemen.
I do have a visual for you because that's how I roll.
Because we want the empire to see this too.
So let me do this and share.
This is the basic map of what it's going to look like.
This is as large as I could get it for you.
Let me read you the exact press release we received this week.
You've invited us into your home for almost two decades.
And later this year we'll be able to return the favor will be netflix by welcoming you
into ours.
Netflix House will unveil its first two locations at the previously mentioned Philadelphia
King of Prussia mall and Dallas at the Galleria Dallas in late 2025.
Spanning more than 100,000 square feet netflix house is a permanent year round home for
fans that bring some of our most popular shows in netflix to life, including Wednesday,
one piece, stranger things and a knives out franchise through first of their kind immersive story driven experiences.
And in 2027 netflix house will be expanding with a third location in the heart of the Las Vegas strip at boulevard Las Vegas.
Netflix is getting real thoughts gentlemen.
Well, we had a great time at netflix bites.
So if that any indication, this is going to be dope.
A little strange kind of what I was going to add, great fine meals for a while.
It was kind of cool, but you know, to go and see the store and everything.
If they do write, might be interesting, might be able to work out.
I have been doing a little bit of research here.
There's also going to be some kind of a story mode that will work through all of it
and mercilessly if you would choose to participate.
Interesting, which I'm very interested in.
Likewise, and they'll be food and there'll be merchandise and the whole thing.
So get ready later this year.
We may have to reach out and find to see if we can get maybe.
Maybe I'll sneak peek.
I'll sneak peek right there.
I'll sneak peek.
We might know somebody who knows somebody, just saying.
Yeah, I think I know exactly somebody who we should recommend of that one.
So let's see paramount plus has announced that NCIS Tony and Ziva debut September 4th.
My wife was oddly intrigued by this.
I didn't realize she's still cared about that franchise, but I guess she does.
So a prime video has is teaming up with Dallas Jenkins, the man behind the chosen.
They are currently doing House of David.
Well, they're going to team up with Dallas Jenkins for Joseph of Egypt.
I mean, to a prime video near you.
And stars has ordered a an underground boxing drama produced by Fitty Cent called right land.
So you got that going for you because you couldn't get the rights to death jam fight for New York.
Hey, that game was dope when it came out.
Well, that's why I knew the reference would land.
Sir, I want to remember that game.
You were alone TV on DVD and Blu-ray this week Ruby volume one.
That's our WBY, which I was corrected on last summer.
One piece season 14 voyage five, the complete series of Nashville, which my wife very much enjoyed.
And the complete series in a steelbook for Sonic Prime, because there were two series at the time.
Interesting.
Just one quick thing on the on the music front, the Grammys and color me about 50 years to
laid on this.
Grammys are introducing a new category next year for best album cover.
What's our there a year now about a hundred and six.
You know what?
Why has that not been in a ward before that's what I'm saying.
You know, I'm just I'm really, you know, I've never thought about it.
Look, it's not one of those that I felt like should always have been a Grammy per say.
Because Grammy is based off of gramophone, which is purely auditory.
So I can kind of understand not having something that is a visual medium like that.
But maybe an Emmy should have been in there for some kind of art award for albums.
I know I want an Oscar for best one.
You know what we have other news in that vein, don't we?
Was it?
I don't know.
Do we will follow it there?
Yeah.
Oh, I was just making sure before anything else was said this weekend.
There are depending on where you are in the state of Texas.
There are two huge film festivals going on locally.
It is the 10th annual Pegasus film festival celebrating the next generation of filmmakers.
64 films from students in the Dallas Fort Worth area, along with films from young people around the world.
Wow, we'll be screened this again.
This is Friday through Sunday here in the Dallas area.
It's the 10th annual.
So this is the 10th time they've done that.
Go support some great young filmmakers.
The future of this industry.
Go check that out.
But if you are in Waco this weekend, it is the Waco independent film festival.
The Waco.
This is actually next month.
I apologize in theater July 17 through the 20th at an encore July 20 through the 26th.
Nice.
It's Julia Barnett's family favorite.
A Christmas and new hope is your opening night presentation.
And then the ego death of Queen Cecilia is set for closing night.
So that'll be next month.
Thought it was I saw 20 if I thought that was.
Well, we do have a lot that goes on during the summer with the movies kicking up and all of the festivals and all the things going on in the Metroplex.
So it's pretty easy to have that kind of a situation.
Now let's get into stuff.
We watch this weekend movie scenes.
I watch two movies that we're going to talk about them in a little while.
I watch two movies when we're going to talk about them in a little while.
I watch three movies and we're going to talk about two of them in a little while.
Two of them.
Yeah.
Next week we'll talk about the other one.
The correct.
I'm smart.
You're big headline from the week after decades of teasing us.
It is finally happening.
Space balls, the sequel is coming our way.
I know I am the wet blanket right now.
But until this actually happens, I have my guard so far up.
I mean, yeah, I get it.
We had that moment when they announced Top Gun Maverick and we went, are we sure?
And then they announced other projects that would be much later on and then space balls.
And I just, I want it to be true, but I feel like I can't let it close enough to hurt me.
It's the cast to be.
I will get there, Don.
I've got.
I've got.
Don hold on.
I know what's on your run sheet.
So that is also.
There's a reason for that.
Also, first of all.
If it.
And I heard.
I can't take credit there for this.
I heard this elsewhere.
But if it's not called the Schwartz Awakens, I have a problem.
But you know, it's got to be space balls.
The sequel.
You know that, right?
Originally it was supposed to be called space balls, the quest for more money.
I remember.
Well, that was the joke in the move.
Right.
So.
Mel Brooks is returning to play yogurt at 98.
Moranis is coming out of retirement to play dark helmet.
Oh, there's one of these notes that I'm waiting for Rob Don's response.
Daphne Zuniga is in.
How you doing?
He was the.
She was the princess.
Yes.
Princess.
Okay.
Josh dad is in.
And I was listening to fat man the other day.
And JC God love him.
Says if he's going to play the son of barf.
He's got his name has to be Ralph.
And I was like, you know what?
Higher that kid right now.
Higher him.
Honestly, I was thinking he was going to be little helmet.
But you know, that makes sense too.
And.
Bill Pullman is returning the one.
His son Lewis will be in the film as well.
That's who you want in the Kylo Renroll.
But did you see that there is a name?
I have not.
I cannot remember what it is.
But.
Because the bill Pullman is loan star.
He's like starburst or something ridiculous.
Like the most insulting name you could think of include star.
But Mel Brooks.
That could just be a placeholder.
I just had one and I lost it.
That coming.
Hold on.
I'm not a star dust.
Let him be star dust.
Action.
You back with us.
I think so.
OK, good.
Maybe something interesting to the other two people on the show
that are not me.
Bloomhouse now owns the soft franchise for steak formerly held by
twisted pictures.
So it's just them and Lionsgate now.
Yeah, it's a 50 50 sharing.
I am.
I am actually pretty on board with this because Bloomhouse is
in connection with one James one who created saw with Lee
Wannell in the first place.
We have your people that will be receiving honorary Oscars
at the governor's awards on November 16.
It'll be Tom Cruise, Dolly Parton, Debbie Allen and
Thomas.
Those are your honorary Oscars this year.
So you that one of those is the note I was teasing before.
Because did you notice what the deal is with crews?
I did not.
Because they're they're saying it like it's his tireless
efforts for the theatrical experience so on and so forth.
However, if you look a little bit closer.
Tom Cruise is your original initial recipient for the stunt
award.
What?
But you know what happens when that happens.
I don't know which way we're going with this, but there's
Germany just got awesome.
That is true.
But I thought that was a cool touch because when we talked
about it before with the whole stunts category, we were
mentioning about how Ryan Gosling with the fall guy doing
so much.
Tom Cruise always having spoken highly of the stunt work while
he was doing the stunt work.
He was doing the stunt work himself.
Even if Danny Trejo thinks it's dumb.
But at that same time, Cruz is the one who has tried to
exemplify better than anybody else.
The levels that go into this.
And I have a shout out for a friend of the show challenge.
Luke Hawks, you're on the clock.
You better believe he is.
Uh, Max will be streaming.
I would give it to Jackie Chan first before.
I'm doing all my stunts.
Yeah.
No, I was the one who.
From the 80s says I did them all, you know, right?
Don, but I want you to think of something called
a recency bias.
Also on your TV.
Although Jackie Chan still has a lot of relevance.
In this particular arena, Tom Cruise is your current eight guy.
Plus your aspect with Jackie Chan with who he is that we respect.
He would want to defer it to the team rather than receive it himself.
So I get that.
There's a chance they might have asked Jackie Chan to be involved as well.
And he just declined.
He's got some stuff on criterion that I want.
Tomorrow, a Minecraft movie will be streaming on Max.
Yes, it will be taken a couple hours this weekend out for that.
Same with my wife and her family, especially because my niece has seen it.
She really liked it.
And I got her the Minecraft hat from the writers.
Matthew McConaughey is reteaming with true detective writer Nick Polp.
Pizzolato.
To be my former.
I'm sorry.
You said what now?
To play Mike Hammer.
You added this just to mess with me.
Didn't you?
No, I'm excited about this.
I'm a huge fan.
Good.
Because Stacy Keach was the man back in the day.
And I want this.
Not the same.
Not the same.
Hi to the Kakuza family.
Pixar is set their next big product.
It's going to be called Gato with two teas from the director of Luca and Rico Casarosa.
It's going to be set in Venice.
And of course, it's going to be about a cat.
There are some production designs out there right now.
Or casting for Hunger Games.
Sunrise on the reaping because they can't stop winning.
Billy Porter is going to play Magno Stift.
Okay, new character.
And Glenn Close is playing sickle.
Oh, hey, close up.
I'm in on.
I'm in on that.
You know, Billy Porter is awesome too.
The Long Walk, which is the Steven King adaptation that's coming out this fall,
Did you see who's handling the score for that? We got an email earlier this week on this. I did not see this.
Jeremiah Frates from the Luminiers is doing the score. Oh, interesting. I am intrigued.
I'll be curious to see how that comes out. And boys, we're getting Harold and Kumar for
because of course we are with CalPen and John Cho and who are gonna play their kids to take over
the franchise. I am telling you my favorite line and it still comes from the first one.
When they're given Neil Patrick Harris grief and he's like, look,
you know, I still your stuff. It was a
move. I'm buying a breakfast. I loved it. That and when he's like, I'm gonna go in there and I'm
gonna get my on. Tom Reese Harris from the gentleman. He is your clay face for the clay face.
And apparently he auditioned and both James Gunn and Matt Rees were like, that's the guy.
Those two guys say that's the guy. You're the guy. And when you think about it coming from two
totally different perspectives. Yeah. And announced today something is now back on the table.
James Bobin who directed the Muppets and Muppets most wanted. Okay.
He is now in talks to direct four Netflix with Ryan Reynolds producing an adaptation of Dragon's
layer. Wow. No longer Reynolds starring. He is no longer attached to star, but he is producing.
And they have not said whether this will be live action or animation. I think there's still a 50-50 shot
that he winds up starring in some format, especially if it winds up going animated.
But you know what? I'm not gonna bat an eye at Ryan Reynolds being in more projects.
And I have had a Q&A with a lot of the people that worked on that game including Don
Duluth. You can see it on my YouTube channel. And it was awesome.
Movie new releases in places you get movie new releases. Let's go to the stuff we had we haven't
covered first. A very highly anticipated documentary. It theaters this weekend about Marley
Matlin. It's called Not Alone anymore. I am a huge fan of her. Likewise.
I've been for decades and I really want to check this out. We also have Harley Flanagan
wired for chaos. From a tumultuous Bronx upbringing. This movie Chronicles Harley Flanagan's
rise to punk startup at 13 featuring New York City footage and interviews with icons like
Flea and Ice T depicting his transformative journey. So very cool. We have 28. We also have
Elio this week. I've been waiting on this movie for over a year. So this seems to be coming out
of nowhere. It feels like they're they lowered the marketing budget compared to normal projects coming
out of this development. So it probably blew it all when it was supposed to release last year.
That's awesome. That is a very, very point. We also have 28 years later and two very interesting
perspectives to this film currently at www.theclubhousepodcast.com. That's our website. One of them is not me.
You know, I the best way I could give it a brief and say if you want to know more, go check out our
reviews. But the line I couldn't shake was there's so many different things going on in this
movie in a blender that it should have been a mini series or a limited run TV series. What about you,
Don? I like the premise, but all that art house stuff that the these weird scenes that they put
into represent other scenes in the first section has the thousand corpses. You know, that's not
that's not a bad poll. That is a very fair assessment. The graphic this I understand to a part and
the other thing is that, but maybe it overdid a little bit, but I like the premise where now it
is 28 years later. It's a totally different thing. It is completely in chaos and everything.
Now they have adapted to dealing with it and how they're able to deal with it. Yeah. So I like
the premise overall, but just a little too weird too long. I think they really should be calling
this a part one though, because it definitely when you realize that this is only the setup,
it makes it make a lot more sense why everything is so scatter shot feeling. And of course,
they got another one coming that's already filmed. Yep, they filmed it back to back. The next one
is called 28 years later, the bone. Yeah, but I did like the scenery was beautiful. It was it really
was gorgeous. Beautiful. And
bright hard has arrived. I'm just gonna go ahead and lay back. Do we have to?
Rebel Wilson Action Hero question mark.
Alex has a question. Oh, I didn't want to interrupt your flow. I was going to have a question
for Amber. Feel free. All right, Don, which one was worse 28 years later or bright hard?
But this way, bright hard. Maze runner promise.
See, you call it the Maze runner promise, because I still disagree with you on that one.
It is, but I'm only clarifying my statement on it. I'm not saying he has to change it in any
way shape or form. I respect that it is. I'm merely saying that I don't like it because I disagree
with it, but I get it. So you're saying it is a. I'm talking about Maze runner part three,
but I always call. Oh, no, no, I know which one you were, I know which one you're referring to.
But thank you for clarifying for the audience. But what I'm saying is you're saying this is going
to be on the metal stand. Turkey in reverse. Yeah, my turkey here. Okay. Yeah. And we have,
so basically what I, the reason why I want to stop us down real quick is so we officially
of our six metal stand options at the top and the bottom. Don has allegedly sealed two of them.
No, I'm seeing it. It has a very good shot of truth. Okay. Okay. So you're not saying it's guaranteed
the way you said that right now it's currently in there. Okay. Because there's another movie you said
is definitively at the top this year. Yeah. And I'm going to leave that alone because they should
go find your reviews to see which ones it is at www.clubhousepodcast.com. That's our website.
But you've now established. You are like this top is established. This bottom
mostly established. Is that correct? Rob, we've done hundreds, hundreds,
probably thousands, hundreds of reviews that you've edited.
I'd say that's definitive about the audience. Very rarely. When faith in half the people are
staring dead, Pam. Okay. I was trying to make sure you weren't looking for the words.
No. When you see people like this and like this. Oh my god. So what were they
gave free booze before the film? What was what was that movie with Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson?
Oh, the hustle. No. The hustle. Okay. Is it worse than the hustle? No. No. Okay. I would wait.
Is it done? Is this recency bias? No, because I was okay. Does the hustle is one of the worst
movies I've ever seen? I know in this. I was the heart of one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
It had also involved a moment in the history of this show that I will never forget.
Oh my god. That was that screening. Yep.
I did not mean to make you relive the drunk lady who are you really pressed?
Are you sure you're pressed? And I was like, yeah, I was like, can I write for your magazine?
Sure. Whatever. And then you don't remember my response after that.
And she just fell down on the floor. No, you don't remember my response to that?
I'm really trying to block this out. I just went to Princeton.
You want to write for a magazine? My name is Princeton. Let's just say it's not my least favorite movie
of the year. No, Rob, you didn't really say much about it about the film for last night.
You see a lot of looks. He's even more than it. And I like him a lot. I like Stephen Dorf.
I like Divine Joy Randolph a lot. I love Divine Joy Randolph.
I enjoy Anna Camp's work. I can't remember who that is.
She's a person to get my blade. She played with Rebel Wilson in the Pitch Perfect movies.
Still never seen. He was the blonde girl that wasn't Britney Snow.
And the other girl that's in it, she was in heart eyes earlier this year.
And there's people in it. And the city of Savannah, Georgia's in it.
And Paris, Paris, not Paris, Texas. No.
And I got a sash in a free drink. I mean, no good.
If they had said soda, I'd have been there. Simon West directed it.
And I definitely had to change the selection next to his name that you put, Don.
Now you put a oblivion. That man directed Conair. Now,
do you disagree about what I said about? Oh my God.
I'm sorry. Go ahead. Don't say it again.
Do you disagree about what I put about the audience in that?
No, I don't. Yeah. Is it spoiler though? Because I kind of want to know.
No, he was, well, he was just saying earlier, but the way people were reacting.
And you said, oh, okay. Yeah. No, I don't agree. Disagree at all.
There's other things I'll tell you boys off air that I did notice.
Yeah. But yeah. But I will say this.
If you are going to have a girl's night out movie, and I said this in my review,
this is not your worst option, although you would probably be better off with bridesmaids.
Yeah. But if you drag a date to this thing, which I'll do in my review,
understand you don't get to pick the next one.
And you guys know how much I hate to give a film a bad review.
Yeah. That's true. I have a little light voice here.
They want to run on the street. Yeah.
Movies on DVD and Blu-ray this coming week. A Minecraft movie does release,
and you can get a steelbook with it as well. The monkey that kind of came and went
based on Stephen King. King things. The animated film sneaks that snuck itself right past
all of us about sneakers. The the new snow white 2025, which I believe is already available on
Disney Plus as well. I think so. A lethal weapon director's cut. Interesting, which I have all
four of them in a pack, but I may get this one too, because I've heard the director's cuts really
awesome. Nice. The 40th anniversary edition of St. Elmo's Fire. I appreciate
the writer of that film, but he still doesn't get a pass because he directed that in forever,
that in a wrap. That was Sean Walker. I know. The steelbook for the original. I know what you
did last summer with the reboot coming soon. It's almost like they were marketing for it.
The Nicholas Cage long legs gets a steelbook this week. Yes, don't know what is on Disney Plus.
Okay. Thank you, Don. The first Mithregan gets a steelbook this week as we prepare for that sequel.
And moving from earlier this year, Novakaine is getting a steelbook this week.
Novakaine was a lot more fun than it had to be. Yes.
Arrow video is releasing dark city. I feel like I need to go back and revisit this because the
first time I saw it when it came out in the 90s, because this was Alex Price's follow-up to the
Crow. Yeah. And I did not like this film on any level. But I feel like I need to go back maybe to
revisit it now that it's been about 30 years. And maybe see if I was just so the Crow was just so
amazing that there's nothing was going to live up to it. Honestly, I feel like this one got passed
maybe because I watched it too young. And Jennifer Connelly, how you doing? I always Jennifer Connelly
They're also doing the invisible swordsman this week. And Criterion Collection does Sorcerer.
And I wasn't going to say this, but I am now. Guess what is getting remastered in 4k.
Criterion released in September. And I may have to be a day one purchase. Go on.
What is a movie that's going to be re-released in theaters weekend after next that you and I need
to find a way to go watch that you haven't seen. The sequel is coming out right around the time
that the re-release happens. You've got an avoid. You need to move. The sequel is going to go to 11.
You need to move. Oh, great. Yeah. Say it. Please. It's a spinal tap. Yes, thank you. Spinal tap.
Criterion is getting remastered. And there's going to be three commentary tracks in it. One with the
guys in character and one without and one with the filmmakers. You lie in commentary tracks so much.
I am so excited. And the cover is them doing like the Bohemian rap city pose. I am so excited about this.
And I want I've heard rumors that there might be an IMAX release in that.
Well, you know what you that really needs to happen is we need to get that release
and then get a theater at Alamo. Well, but if they release it in IMAX on July 4th weekend,
we're going to do it that way too. That's also true. Let's see. We also want to talk about the official
the official sponsor here at Sunset Lounge DFW. What if you could free yourself of pain,
anxiety, and sleepless nights? I'm on board with that because I deal with all three. I'm old.
I'm old, Greg. But what if you could do it naturally because he's that's the thing.
We have like right now what's happening right now for another half an hour. YDC is there.
Groups, Shippy and Shippy or Shippy and Shippy. They're there. Shippy's probably not there.
Because Shippy's got stuff going on. But they're not alone.

groups are up to over there. And to clarify for the next half hour at CBD House of Healing,
it is Mike Reiner, Victor from Al-Maxico and Shipping in Groups.
Oh, so Shipping is there. Well, it's listed as Shipping in Groups. Fair enough. But now this.
The Cheap Popcast is the second half of this show where we talk to you about all the goings-on
in-professional wrestling. And there was a lot going on in our sport this past week.
First of all, congratulations to Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes. They have a child on the way.
So Mazel talked to the facts. And we look forward to hearing about Little Terry when they get here.
Oh, NWA 77 has been announced. The August 16th at the Paramount in Huntington, New York.
So get ready for that. They also have now a deal with the Roku channel.
They will be streaming on the Roku channel. So get ready for that. So you don't have to watch
it on Twitter. Yeah. And you have new and first CMLL Mexican Nationals Trio's Champions.
In El Cobarde, Ejo de Stuca Junior and Felino Junior.
I just found out that they were the first. Okay. So Mazel talked to those kids. Yeah.
In TNA News, Jason Hatch from The Good Hands has re-upped with them.
How does he? Is that some really good stuff going on lately?
They now have a free version of the TNA app that you can use. It will get you a selection
of classic and current VOD compact and you will a content and you will get impact.
You are. I just like the way you said selection. It broke me for some reason.
You're welcome. I live to serve. And
you'll get the impact tomorrow night. Yeah. Don. What's wrong with your people?
Tomorrow night impact will be live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
You're going to have a very special guest in the kind in the broadcast booth,
which you'll be able to watch on. Oh, you'll be able to watch on TNA Plus. I'm watching it.
This is what you're teasing me about. Mark Madden is going to be. Mark Madden is going to be
in the comment at the commentary table tomorrow night. Mark Madden.
You don't remember that guy from when back in the WCW days?
They always can't make sure you know he's from Pittsburgh the way he talks.
Oh, okay. Is this the thing that you're teasing me about the other night, Alex?
You said you're going to save some for wrestling talks. Should we tell Don now or spoil it?
Remember? No, this isn't it. No, this isn't it. Okay. I literally was so confused.
And that'll be tomorrow night at the UPMC event center in Pittsburgh.
UPMC checking in. So I want to pay for TNA Plus. There you go. And my my quarterly did renew.
So that seasonal thing didn't run out. So I am going to get slammed in the grocery,
but I'll be driving. So I have to watch it on delay. WWE news.
Did you see your latest WrestleMania tidbit? No. When you go to book your hotel kids in Vegas for
next year, bring yo check book because the NAB convention, which is the National Association
of Broadcasters is the same weekend. You may as well stay in Reno and drive down. You'll save money.
Unless you own a condo there. Yeah. Well, not everybody does, sir. Yeah.
And shout out to that logo. Love that. Absolutely. I do dig. I like how it also balances
last year's or this year's was like all the neon, all of the bright. And then to their next year's
looks is more like the gritty street art style that Vegas has become known for in a lot of
different areas. I like the. Let me I'm going to pull up and we can share it because I really want
people to see this. Okay. Don't have you seen the logo yet? Oh, I think I did the new
the biggest one there with it. I think I saw it on the other night. This is what it looks like.
I probably did see it. For remember, I got a glimpse of it. I just I love how it I how much of it
was real when I was talking about getting me off the roof of this thing. I really like this logo.
It's very. It's very. It really does. It's very Vegas. And you know, it even looks like there's
construction going on. So that's so terrible, but you're right.
This is the point of getting the Bellagio found looks like construction. Not to spoil anything
from a movie we're going to talk about next week. But are you sure? We did go see F1 the movie.
Yes. And they do have the Vegas race. Was I the only one just waiting to go? Are we going to
show practicing? That's going to be a bad idea. Although this past year, it wouldn't very well.
No, I my selfishness started looking going. Am I in this movie?
You're you're talking about how they got another convention going on at the same time.
You know, I mean, yeah. Can you still book right now like the Bellagio this far out for Mania?
Yes, I yeah, I would say get it done because yeah, let me let me put it in this context for you,
Don. Yeah. And it's a little thing that I like to call Vegas.
You can get anything you want. You just got to know where to ask. You may not be able to book
online right now, but you can get in there somewhere. I know a guy who knows a guy who knows
the guy. Yeah, that might be the guy. Congratulations to Los Garzas.
They are your new Treplay outtacting champions.
It's Los Garzas. I close Garza sounds weird, but it's right, but it's not. It is.
Smackdown probably the best John Cena promo in a long time last Friday.
That was basically mapped out the entire year. I was like, you know what? That was a good promo.
Yeah. I can't. He just that was a master class for people at them.
It will be his last show. They've announced it because I know they got the count down.
The theory is it will be in December at a new plea called ruthless aggression that will be
expected to take place in Boston. Yeah, against Dwayne. Yeah.
So when do you think he loses the title or just I think it might be Somerslam?
You think Somerslam? It's Somerslam with the latest. I still I'm going to hold on to my theory.
Yeah. That punk wins at night at champions and Seth caches in.
But that's just me. Yeah. Let's see here. And a great finish to that women's fatal forway match.
With Alexa getting the pin a second before Albatab. Yeah. That was fantastic.
Very well. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. And before we get too far away from it,
do you have a note regarding Shotsie and Charlotte later on? I do not. What's up?
So we we oftentimes have talked about when people are less than well-behaved. Maybe they are
second generation and tend to be a bit more entitled. I wanted to highlight because we want to give
flowers when they're due. Shotsie talking with Chris Van Bleet went into depth about how
the first person to reach out see what she needed. See if she needed help with anything.
If she needed anything and she wanted to make sure that everybody knew that Charlotte
Flair was there to have her back and always had that. Oh, okay. Because there's always been a lot
of negative reports about Charlotte. I want to make sure that we clarified that this was a very
positive and speaks to the person that might just be known as Ashley at that point.
And and by the way, this is Fanatic Weekend. Yep.
We're going to the show Valerie is working that show and she sent pictures back.
Very cool. Let's talk about raw. Let's keep what's talking about raw.
What we all knew is coming is coming. Saturday's main event.
This is the reason Jay dropped the title because it will be Gunther Goldberg.
I cannot say what Charlotte texted me, but she's absolutely right.
But I also really dig Gunther's reply on social media. Did you see this done?
Well, Rob go for it. He said, yeah, I got time for a three-minute match.
It basically was Goldberg. I got time. I got three minutes.
Yeah.
And it's like I get it. I appreciate that there is a lot of people who are excited to see Goldberg.
But I also want to clarify, don't tell me I'm supposed to be excited to see Goldberg.
I didn't like the dude before. I understood. I appreciate it. Honestly,
the person who made me see it best was our host, Rob Irvin, who clarified I can't be
mad at Goldberg. He was doing his job, which I could say I don't like watching Goldberg.
But I'm a big fan of Bill Goldberg.
Yeah, I got no problems with Bill. It's just do not job Gunther.
Don't do it. I don't care if this is his retirement match.
I will tell you right now, if they job Gunther straight up to Goldberg,
I will quit watching. I will stop watching your product all together.
The only way I'm okay with it.
Jay pulls the schmaws.
Bill wins the title.
Gives the title up on Raw to a tournament or a new champion is crowned December slam.
That's the only way I'm okay with it.
I will clarify that's that's within acceptable range because of the schmaws of it.
That's why I said if he loses clean, I will I will have a my own personal riot.
But if he if he beats him in under a minute, like he did Brock Lesnar,
you I will.
I can't address that when you stay without swearing.
That happens just because there is a talent level difference between Lesnar and Gunther.
I think Gunther has a lot more in his arsenal.
I think Gunther would be able to carry Goldberg better.
I agree. And Liv is actually injured with a dislocated shoulder.
Unfortunately, we do have conflicting reports on how severe though.
Yeah, because I was like, it didn't look that bad.
I as somebody who's had that happen, I saw the telltale signs and I could tell you,
it wasn't a good one. I in my very amateurish experience, I think it's going to be on the
higher scale because it looked like because there's two ways you separate your shoulder.
There's either the impact pushing it down in towards the chest.
That tends to be an easier one to heal from because the ligaments aren't impacted.
However, with her harm extended and the push, what you can see is the ripple effect right across
right across here on the outside where you can see the ligaments being affected by the
dislocation. And that's the real problem that you're running into depending on how severe if any.
And I hope there's none, even though I am the live hater of this show.
I hope there is no ligament damage, but the more ligament damage she has, the longer it's going
to be recovering from surgery. The fact that they've already announced that it's going to take
surgery tells me that there is definitive tearing. It's just a matter of how bad and how clean
they can make that suture to fix the shoulder ligament.
Nothing really big from NXT this week.
It's NXT. They go in waves.
We'll have to see who the consiglieri is to the family.
I think we all have our own theories, but they might be right back there.
AEW John Silver got engaged.
I was surprised. I thought they were already married with as long as they've been together.
I love the x-tweet of John Silver, Johnny Hunger from the Dark Order.
Okay, okay, okay, and the tweet of the old escape room proposal.
Yeah. Love you, John Silver.
Don, this is what we were teasing the other night.
Here it comes.
Oh, speaking of this, before we continue to call Inter's, I got to do this.
Not the best shirt of his, not even the best shirt of this week.
It's the father's day gift from the fantastic.
Nothing wrong with knowledge.
But did you see the one they released this week?
No, yeah, you're going to need to go look that one.
We're going to need to look that one up because I can't.
MJF shirt?
Yes.
It was specific for last night.
Yes, that's all I will say.
So last week, we talked about a couple of former WWE wrestlers that we're going to be.
Don't look it up now, Don.
No, he's paying attention.
Damn, last week, we talked about a couple of WWE wrestlers that we're going to be part
of American Gladiators with the Miz.
Remember this?
No, you have a visual.
It's going to be Boogs and Jesse Godders.
Yeah.
Mr. Pecacular.
Yes.
We have two more people that are our wrestlers that will be a part of this thing.
Camille.
Who used to be the guard for Mercedes-Monae?
Camille Brickhouse, former NWA women's champion.
And Wardlow.
Really?
Wardlow is a Gladiator.
Currently, the report is that Boogin Hagen,
Wardlow, I will believe it's Kayleigh Latimer,
and all the other signed to-be Gladiators are currently awaiting their names to begin
filming.
Well, they've actually- they have started filming us of today in Paris.
Right, but what I'm saying is, is at the time of reporting, they were still waiting
on their names, because they literally hadn't even gotten that.
Apparently, they were finding out when they went into production.
The Beast Martos has had a heck of a week.
Yeah, he has.
He's- he has to hold his law exam.
What did Don just ask?
I heard rumors.
Oh, okay.
He passed his law exam.
He's going to be a lawyer.
Congratulations.
He's me that guy.
And-
It apparently is now dating Mercedes-Monae.
Who announced- who announced the multiple things
with, I can't wait to sue Oliol.
But I love- I love how Boogin Hagen announced it with,
I am now officially an attorney.
I am still learning to speak, but if you want to make sure your wife doesn't take half
your stuff, I can help.
Rawr.
Okay, tell me you've been divorced before I see that out saying it.
Grand Slam Mexico was a thing.
Did you see the very interesting piece of trivia that comes out of Grand Slam Mexico?
That would depend on which piece of trivia you're referring to.
As of last night, FTR is the only tag team to have
wrestled at Arena Mexico, MSG, Wembley, and the Tokyo Don.
That doesn't feel right.
It's a fact, Jack.
That doesn't feel like a fact.
That can't be right.
I thought you were referring to the mort- the other mortos news.
The first time he wrestled there at 14 years.
Apparently, when he had left CMLL the first time it was not a clean break.
So Tony Khan took it upon himself to ask permission
directly by flying down, which kudos.
And as much as people want to crap on Tony Khan, the dude cares.
I'm never going to take that away.
But so they were more than happy to have it.
But mortos had not wrestled at Arena Mexico in 14 years.
And I thought that was a really cool touch.
But I'm going to let you know, you got the other.
I dig the entrance.
I really enjoyed that.
I did.
I could see why they wouldn't use it more often though,
because of the risk of falling down the stairs.
What I was worried about is that it was going to look too much like worlds collide.
But it had its own flavor to it.
Which I like the stairway that had the video wall in it.
It was cool, a very short aisle, which was nice.
And I know that they did say this, but I did look up at 4 million pesos
as the equivalent of about $210,000.
That's still a lot.
Yeah, good money.
And also might be the answer to how much hologram gets paid for a year.
Yeah.
Or Sadie's May wins.
It was a good match.
I'm not taking issue with it.
It's, it's, this is why I couldn't even control is a bad idea.
But it did give us one of the best Tony Storm vignettes of all time.
That was really well done.
And her new shirt's really cool too.
Got AEW just released.
But her Carmen Sandiego showing up is broke.
And they couldn't say it's just called there's a woman in red.
I'm like, we know what that is.
Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
Who's the, who's the band?
I almost swore.
You, you got to say it.
I almost swore.
Rockapella.
That's what it was.
And Alex texted me this earlier today.
And when he texted me, I was like, I'm so glad you said this because now I know I'm not alone.
What are we do?
Like the crowd loved it and the crowd did the whole singing thing.
So I'm not complaining.
But if you're going to be a wrestler and you're going to come out to a theme,
it shouldn't remind me of the Jeff Jarrett.
You've seen the rest now see the song.
Like it was just like I was expecting him to come out with roses
and the crowd.
What is happening?
Memero means I'm dying.
And it is like a love ballad that is.
These were all then.
But but but here's the thing.
They were all over it singing at full volume.
There was all there were old men crying that's hitting every note.
And Mystico is running around this age like prime edge as if metal linguist is playing.
But it's just people singing this ballad about dying for you.
And he's acting like it's a rock concert.
It's so strange.
But I couldn't look away.
It was like a car crash.
That just maybe think of something that's completely a non-sec order.
But I'm going to say it anyway.
Okay.
Have you seen the concert line up for the State Fair of Texas?
I've only seen one person on that list.
One word, Metalachi.
That is not the word I saw.
But yes, I am the State Fair this year.
Paul Wall is playing the State Fair.
Metalachi is the only one that I saw that's like, you know what?
I'd like to see that.
I am curious myself.
I watched Ring of Honor.
It was 38 minutes before the show.
Yeah.
Nothing was missed.
Although they did have a women's pure wrestling match.
And Deanna Paraso did a fantastic job.
She's got to be it, right?
I would think.
For the pure division, she's it because she is your best technical wrestler.
You might be your best women's technical wrestler on a planet.
Anything else you boys want to talk about?
I think it's been a great week.
We rocked it.
We're going to have some really great episodes coming up over the next couple of
weeks in Frisco at the ballpark.
Come hang out because we're not just going to do the show.
We're going to be there for at least some of the game.
Oh, Sean's back.
I can hang out longer.
You may see the chapter in the bull.
Well, in the week after July 3rd,
also the day after my birthday,
I believe we're going to get fireworks that night.
That is fireworks night.
Yes.
And there are special tickets for July 1st,
2nd and 3rd that will include access to the games, hot dogs and those fireworks.
Shout out to everybody at Comic-Polusa this year.
Houston have a great show.
I've been having some great meetings on a couple of shows that I've got coming up.
So I'm very excited about that.
Hopefully we'll have Craig on to talk about retro expo here in a couple of weeks.
I got to talk to him.
He doesn't know I want him on the show yet.
But shout out to everybody here at Sunset Lounge DFW.
And actually just continuing to kill the game.
She just sent us another animated picture today of the three of us
that could be the most flattering drawing of me that's ever been produced.
I'm just saying.
Alex, you got that look on your face.
I
something popped into my head and I if you're all right with it,
I kind of want the hammer whenever we're wrapping up.
Oh, please, go ahead.
No, no, I mean like the clothes clothes.
Well, if you're good with that,
I was about to start the plugs.
Please go.
So I don't know why it popped into my head.
And I was just thinking about this.
And Don mentioned that fantastic shirt he got from Fantastic Faith Board.
And I was thinking about Father's Day.
And independent of just the difficulties that it is.
Realizing that I got to be part of two sides of a coin
where I was very hurt
and almost very much hurt somebody else just based around Father's Day.
Fortunately, I took my time and bit my tongue.
I can't say anything for the person that hurt me.
But one of the things I want to ask people
is to with everything going on a lot of the craziness,
we are seeing it in the news.
We just don't want to talk about it.
But I want you to take an extra minute
when you're going to say something
if you have some emotion.
I want you to just think about what you're going to say.
How it can affect people.
I'm not saying that you're not allowed to say things.
You're allowed to say whatever you want.
But they're allowed to reply.
And it's okay if you just take an extra second and say,
you know what, I don't have to say this.
I don't have to say anything that is,
even if it's defending myself, just, you know what,
you're right.
I want things to be peaceful.
I don't have to be right all the time.
So think about what you're going to say.
Think about how you say to people,
even if you care about them and you think
they'll understand.
Take an extra second because there's a lot of mess
going around right now.
Agreed.
100%.

And she said, welcome to 38.
And I went,
yeah.
