We kind of have to start this week's show on a bit of a down note.
Just got word about an hour ago of the passing of the great John Feinstein at the age of 69.
If you do not know who he is, he is an author.
He wrote the book season on the brink.
That was made into a movie by ESPN.
He also wrote a long walk spoiled.
He was a big, big sports guy.
He actually interned this summer before Wilbond did at the Washington Post.
Wow.
Talked about it on PTI today.
Wherever they they both interned at the same place.
I'm not sure I'm sure it was the Washington Post because that's where Wilbond was forever.
He was also a very frequent guest on the Bob and Tom show.
And a big Washington football club fan he and chick talked about it quite a bit.
So kids books that were sports oriented.
He was very prolific as a sports writer and a sports author.
It was apparently it was very sudden.
We want to send our best to his family and friends at this time.
Just an absolute legend.
That one kind of hit me hard because I love listening to way he and chick would go back and forth on Bob and Tom and him talking about.
The books he's written and all the things.
But as Alex said earlier selection Sunday is this weekend.

this. No, I don't want to meet her. Who do you think will be starting quarterback for the
Steelers for the majority of the year next season or this upcoming season for this upcoming season?
Yeah. The majority of the games for part two. And pick it apparently has gone to Cleveland too.
So you got to figure out who your quarterback is before you can even answer that question.
No, honestly, I think it's going to be Russell Wilson. You think so? Okay.
I think you'll have Russell Wilson because familiarity and the fact that Pittsburgh has a
tradition of not losing their guys when they're in-outs. Yeah. And plus as much as we say it,
the Steelers have a really smart ownership group and always have. I don't see them falling into
the Aaron Rogers trap of what all comes with signing him. And the other fun part with that one
was after the DK Metcalf trade and extension. Ben Rathosberger posted a video with him in his
old helmet on going, hey, y'all need me. Yeah. So Don, you get that, you get that quarterback
piece in place. Y'all can make some noise this season. My favorite though, my favorite of the memes,

been a free agent in his career. He's always had an extension. Even when he was traded to the Jets,

Let's get into NBA standings. The Philadelphia 76ers. God, love you. You're at 22 wins right now.
And you're tied with Brooklyn at 24 and a half back. But they're only a half in their own arena.
The bottom three of this division are all at least 24 games back because Toronto's a half game ahead
of Brooklyn and Philadelphia. And they're 19 and a half back of the nicks. This is the funniest part
about the NBA's draft lottery. You could be in the Eastern Conference and having ostensibly
terrible record, but you wind up at the playoffs and out of the lottery. And New York now four and a
half back of Boston. Cleveland has now clinched the division. They're on a 15 game heater.
15. That's that's what a 20% of the season. So like that. Pretty close to it. Yeah. Yeah. The
math checks out. It's close. You know who's not the polls. The polls. Because they're 28 games
back. They're nine and a half back of the Detroit Pistons. Detroit and Indiana are tied with
Milwaukee. All three of them tied and all three of them 18 and a half back at Cleveland.
Because Cleveland doesn't ever want to lose again. They're pulling a shoresy season two.
They're set in the tone. They're never losing again. Or is it a game? And the Southeast
Division. Shout out. Shout out. Washington Wizards. You've broken double ditched. She got 13 wins.
Put your their point differentials almost 13 in the NBA. They are two and a half back of Charlotte
Hornets. Now 13 back of Miami. Miami's lost five in a row. So they're only a half game back of
Orlando. But the magic is now two back on Atlanta, who's one four in a row. But it is the
Hawks. So look at that history and the playoffs. Yeah. In the Pacific Division of the Western
Conference, the Phoenix Johnson is now crying somewhere just on their 11 and a half back. They're
four back on Sacramento. Sacramento's two back on the Clippers. Clippers. Now a game and a half
back on Golden State because they've won five in a row. But Golden State's four back on the Lakers.
But the Lakers have dropped two. But they won eight in a row before that. So Southwest Division.
Fly. Pettigan has 18 wins. They're 24 back. They're 10 back of the spur. San Antonio now four and a half
back of Dallas. Dallas is now eight and a half back of Houston Houston. Houston. Both the rockets
and Memphis are on four game heaters. But Memphis maintains a one game lead. And in the Northwest
division, Oklahoma City has clinched a playoff spot. But they have not clinched the division yet.
Utah's up to 15 wins. God love you. If it's a 39 back, they are 12 and a half back on Portland.
Trailblazers now 10 back on Minnesota. Minnesota's on a six game heater. They are four and a half
back on Denver. And then Nougat's are now 12 back on OKC. Let's look at your playoff pictures at
this point. Before we get too far into that, did you see the Zion Williams in headline?
He's in it. I have no choice but to look at it anymore. Well, he has now gotten to 5,000 points in
one of the fewest amount of games played. And seeing the people celebrate about like, yeah,
you got to 5,000 points. I don't know, like 203 games. And then somebody chiming in and going,
you realize it took him six years to get that. I was going to make the joke, but he's been in
the league for 17 years. So yeah, but that's what I mean. He's he made it to 203 wins or,
excuse me, 203 games this year is six. Do the math. Oh, that one. Yours needs above the red line right
now. The playoffs are today in the Eastern Conference from six to first. Detroit, Indiana,
Milwaukee, New York, NYX, Boston, and of course, we mentioned Cleveland.
It did do the play and would be, and I disagree with this. All four of these teams at the
at the play and right now are below 500. In Chicago, Miami, Orlando, and Atlanta.
Teams that are close, you could say Toronto and Brooklyn at this point and Philly.
But if you had to put odds on them catching any of those spots, what would you say?
Toronto and Brooklyn, I'll three of them have a good shot.
They're all within five games in Chicago.
In the Western Conference, Golden State Houston, Lakers, Denver, Memphis, Oklahoma City.
Now, in contrast, only one of the games for the only one of the teams qualify, I would qualify
for the play in is below 500. It's the Mavericks and they're only a game below.
They'll get further. Give it time. Mavericks Sacramento, Clippers, and Minnesota.
People in striking distance, I would say Phoenix has a decent shot because they're only
two and a half back of Dallas, San Antonio's two games behind them, Port Winds, a half game behind
them, but New Orleans and Utah, no, hard pass. Let us go into the NHL. Did you see what happened
last night? No. Congratulations with a Seattle Kraken. They set a record.

In Eastern Conference Atlantic Division, the Sabres are still terrible. They are 27 points out of
first place and they are 12 points behind Boston. Boston and Detroit are tied at 69, 68, but they're
a point behind the Montreal Canadian. Don, now you can do it. Thank you.
The Canadians are now four points back on Ottawa. Senators now five back on my lightning,
lightning, three back on Toronto, but my panthers have retaken the lead. They're up by two points.
In where now we going? We're done. Yeah, Metropolitan Division. Guess who's still in the seller?
Is it the, I forgot. It would be your panthers. No, my panthers. But you're not alone.

on Minnesota. Wild three back on Colorado. Colorado's five back on the stars. But the stars are now
eight back on Winnipeg, who is just gonna be crazy. In the Pacific Division, San Jose,
put a pin in it. Seattle currently is 23 points out of first place. They are three points behind
Anaheim. Anaheim, the ducks now eight back on Vancouver who is tied with Calgary. They are both
six points back on the Kings. LA only a point back on Edmonton in Vegas now has a five point
lead in that particular division. And let's take a look at your wild card scenarios at this point
in the Eastern Conference. Your top three Tampa Bay, Toronto, Florida, Metropolitan, New Jersey,
Carolina, Washington. Right now, Columbus and Ottawa would be your wild card.
But I would say within here's everybody that I will tell you is within five points right now of
Columbus. You ready? Montreal Rangers Detroit, Boston are all within five points.
So don't set that bad boy in stone yet. In the Western Conference, central would be Colorado
Dallas, Winnipeg. Pacific would be Kings, Oilers, Vegas. Your wild cards right now are Calgary
in Minnesota. The own, the teams that are within five points of Calgary,
Vancouver, St. Louis, Utah. And Anaheim's not too far behind, but I wouldn't, I wouldn't
anticipate them making a move. All right, let us play North America's favorite game show.

which boys got. Well, Don, you want to lead us off? I want to go first because the only thing is that
we got another thing of the pit got caught up on that and it's been kind of busy of us with
this weekend and stuff, so the last season finale is coming up, but basically we're caught up
on the last shows we talked about, but I'm still happy with the pit and the hunting party on NBC
about the people. They escaped zero killer second thing. That one does look really interesting.
Yeah. Don, how strongly would you recommend it? The first episodes are good. Now they're kind of
going up for each certain killer on each episode that's escaped. It's still recommended.
You know, I'd say he don't do it. It's good. I like the idea in the premise, so.
Yeah, they were advertising that pretty thoroughly with peacock, so I wonder if there's some kind of
a watch along with that one. Yeah. Rob, do you have anything? I am still one episode behind on
John Oliver, so we've got to watch this week's episode. SNL this past week was the Lady Gagah
doing, doing double duty. I thought she did a good job and anyway, they did, they're doing a
rerun this week, but they haven't said when the next new episode is. It's the next Saturday after.
Oh, I didn't see a thing. So it's basically just a two week. I don't know. I'll have to look,
but I didn't see anything. Alex. Yeah, mine. Mine was a continuation. The invincible. I believe it's
the season finale dropped this morning as well as the next episode of Reacher. I've really been
enjoying both of those. Reacher continues to be awesome, and I'm not saying that just for my
own biased, but hearing Alan Richardson talking about how it's okay to get beat up in a show,
you don't have to always look tough, taking an obvious shot at certain other fast and furious co-stars.
But, or other people that may have played that role. Oh, it was specific. It was specifically
directed apparently. But man, every time I don't think invincible could get even better, it is
some of the best TV available right now. And I'm shocked. I would say that about a superhero animated
show, but the way that they ground it, the way that Robert Kirkman writes it as well as some of
the other writers involved writing it for TV, the way they can take this two-dimensional
world universe galaxy, however you want to describe it, and give it a real heart and emotion behind
it is staggering every single episode. All right. And the prime videos do a lot of business right now,
those Reacher numbers are through the roof as they should be. CBS has canceled SWAT again
after eight seasons, but there's apparently a ground swelling for season nine. They have renewed
the neighborhood for season eight, but it will be their final season. I did see that. They've
already started crafting the story and they're thankful they're going to get to close it out.
Did you see who's joining the cast of FBI propper? I did not see this. So there's a character called
Esobel, ISO BEL, played by the amazing Alana de la Garza. Okay. Her husband has been cast
by one of my personal favorite actors and who was in a series that I am still waiting for on
at least DVD, if not blue, right, or even to stream. I can't find it because there's there's
issues with the music. Tom Kavanaugh. Oh, I mean, the cast. Big. It's weird because Tom Kavanaugh
seems to keep for a long time there. He keeps winding up on shows that are really good, but for one
reason or another they don't continue on. Well, one another one of my favorite shows and it comes
I have one big one story about Tom Kavanaugh of I was doing a panel with Mike Star who was on Ed
with him. And I was like, tell me I love I said Ed's one of my wife and I watched every episode
together. That was a point of viewing for us. He goes, let me tell you a story about that.
He goes back then because there was you didn't have camera phones and stuff.
For continuity with with sets and costumes, they would take Polaroid to us.
Kavanaugh would have to photo bomb every one of them.
That's a little surprise, Pete. And I have proof. See me after the panel. And I'm like,
he texts me a picture, which I have in my phone, of him at Stucky Ball. And as they're taking
the picture of him, you see Kavanaugh like leaping into the picture. And I'm like, I love that man.
So yeah, it was a panel with him and Robert Costanza Junior, which was a great those two and
those two are best friends. And that's that was a great panel. That's one I wish I had recorded
and I don't. But I feel like they're around that same time frame. He kept winding up with shows like
Love Monkey and things like that that were good. They were good, but they never made it past like
two seasons. It was weird. Well, did I tell you what I discovered about the star of that show?
Teddy Geiger. Go on. No longer Teddy Geiger.
Has decided to change their gender identity.
I found that out about six months ago.
Because I have that album that came that was recorded for that show because my wife was also
a big fan of that show. And it's a really good album. Very underrated.

They know that they knew that one was on the fence. They were going to depend

docket on their decision there. Hallmark channel has renewed mistletoe murders for season two.

NBC peacock has announced that season two of poker face will kick off on May 8.
I may need to catch up on that because this kind of looks like it might be right at my alley.
What's the point of that basically? It's Natasha Leon and she's she's like a person who
just winds up being a detective. It's not like there's not like threads going through the whole
thing. It's a like a murder of every episode kind of a thing. Okay. So she think hyper intelligent
person who can pick up on clues and read people, but a lot of incredibly talented people are
involved in it. So I've watched two episodes and multiple times with both episodes had me going,
wait, that that person's here. There in that. I think I have to go back to it so that I don't
have that shock. I think it's kind of this generation's murder. She wrote from like lots of
guests regard. That's a good point. That's a good poll. Netflix has renewed Megan Duchess of Sussexes
series with love Megan for season two. They have also renewed Tyler Perry's Beauty and Black for
season two and the perfect couple for season two. And then what could be the oddest Netflix
news of the week? Well, maybe because we'll talk about something else that's even crazier later.
They're remaking Kujo. You did that Kujo once before. This is going to be like the second remake.
Hence remake. I mean, the second remake. They already remake. Oh, I didn't know they already
remade Kujo. I want to say they did a they did the it thing. They did a TV movie with it at one
point. And then they did a they had a true film. So the Stephen King evil dog book Kujo getting a
remake from Netflix. Real quick going back to that Robin Hood. The Eleanor of Aquitaine. Oh,
that sounds very classy. But did you see who's playing the sheriff? I think I did it one point.
That's Sean Bean. Oh, well, I'll make it through season one. Well, that's the real question is when
does Sean Bean die? Paramount Plus from the obvious institute has renewed Landman for season two.
Based on everything I've heard. And Prime Video has said that the summer I turned pretty will end
with season three. And we have a friend of the show joining season two of the terminal list.

and they're like, oh, black. It's like a flat black. It's a night back. It's pure. And then the logo
shows up and it's like this big on the screen. And they're like, is it going to get close out?
And they talk for like five minutes before it loops. And the commentary had me crying. Because like
I said, all three of them in character the whole time. And it's just, gosh, it's brilliant. I love
that movie so much. Movie new releases in places you get movie new releases this week. Don saw
black bag the latest from Steven Soderberg. I am intrigued. I want to see this film. I do as
well. But don't go. Yeah. Oh, I want to I wanted I wanted the bare basic first of the thumbs up

going into the movie. So if you can go into it cold. Because there were certain moments that would be
