You may know him as fondongo, but his mom and even Don Porto, I'm going to call him

Whatever we do, one of these, it is to review something.
This is no different.
Tom McGrath, pretty much, has had his hand on anything Madagascar related.
He directs the brand new film from DreamWorks Animation, it is called The Boss Baby.
All right, for we start this thing.
Yes, you're seeing a voice ready?
I do.
We got things Josh and everybody.
And I live in a great marketing.
Thanks for the invite.
We're some of our favorite people in the world.
They're best friends.
Oh, good to us.
They're best friends for a reason.
They're better to us than they do.
And they have to be.
We love to appreciate that.
So this is an animated film.
We run down a voice cast for you.
Lisa Cudro, Toby McGuire, Steve Ushemi, Jimmy Kimmel,
Alec Baldwin.
That's what you need to know.
It's based on a picture book written illustrated
by Marla Frey Z.
Here's what you need to know.
Let's hear it.
So there's this kid.
His name is Tim.
And Tim's got a great life.
Yeah.
He's got his parents.
They sing to him every night.
He's they encourages overactive imagination.
Life is good.
It's Danny.
And then he finds out that he's getting a baby brother.
Ooh.
And normally, this would be a beautiful thing.
But kids have to adjust to these things.
Everyone's like, yeah, when you're only a child,
and you got somebody new.
But this is no ordinary baby.
Uh-uh.
This baby voiced by the great Alec Baldwin.
Yep.
Is part of a program.
Since he was not deemed family material,
he went into baby corp management.
More of the business oriented.
So he comes to this family.
Almost like undercover, I guess you could say.
Yeah.
On a mission.
And that mission is to stop puppy corp.
From releasing their new puppy that is going to take
all of the remaining love that babies have away from them.
Because it's a percentage.
Right.
In their percentage is getting low.
This is all true.
I'm not making any of this up.
This all happened.
Yeah, it's a thing.
On the screen.
This is, this is one of those movies that go into it.
I was, I was not ready.
I'd seen the trailers.
And I was like, oh, maybe like,
song to song, not ready.
Or just like, is this going to be, is this going to work?
That was my whole thing.
Is this going to work?
You're worried.
The bars are a little worried.
The bars are a little low.
It was early on a Saturday morning.
I am so glad I was wrong.
I really, really enjoyed this movie.
And the only way I can describe this film.
And this is going to sound negative, but it's not.
It's silly, yeah.
And it's supposed to be silly.
And so it works.
Yeah, I'll give you that.
Alec Baldwin always great.
But as the baby, he makes a part.
He really, really does.
And there's other layers to this story.
Yeah.
That really is better if you see them on the screen.
You know, I fucking find ironic that, you know,
outball him gets the part of the business man.
You know what this is.
Now, because of his other role, we could say,
you know, it's kind of ironic, you know.
But, you know, if you were somewhere
you could take a seat of this lemon.
Yeah, I'm not going to the other ones.
Now, oh, we'll leave it at that.

I put on there.
Baldwin makes the part.
He really does.
He does.
He really, I can't think of anybody who, after here in Baldwin,
he makes the part of the lead.
I can't think of anybody who could do a better job for this role.
Then Baldwin.
There's a scene where the parents think they're having a playday
with all the kids, where he's actually having a business meeting.
What's it like?
They show a little bit of it in the trailer.
Yeah.
But it's absolutely genius.
And there's even stuff in there.
There's, of course stuff that's going to entertain the kids.
But there's also nice little in jokes for the parents as well.
And they've showed this in some of the, the advertisements for this,
where the big baby grabs a cookie.
He says, no, cookies are for closers, which is a direct quote,
kind of sort of, well, not direct.
But it's a paraphrase of a quote of his from Glenn Gary Glenn Ross.
Coffee's for closers.
And it's, it's not a adult humor, which I think is really cool.
Yes.
It's humor for adults, but not adult humor.
Now, the look was good.
I mean, it wasn't raging book of life and credible mind-blowing,
but still the look was good.
It's dream works.
Yeah, come on with the film.
Well, it's not, it wasn't horrible.
I thought it'd compliment the film well.
Now, I agree with it.
It's the voicing.
There's, there's one thing I want to bring up on the voicing.
I thought it was Josh Gad.
If you put, I put in my written video again at WDW.
You thought who was Josh Gad?
No, if you come and read, WDW, but that's called us.
Podcast.com again.
Sure, absolutely.
OK.
Now, here's the issue.
I kind of put on there that I thought the lead,
where McGuire doesn't air reading.
I thought that was Josh Gad.
Really?
Yes, I'm OK.
I really thought that was Josh Gad
until I looked on, oh, it was McGuire.
And from you, that's a compliment.
Yes, when you get lost in the, who's doing the voice that,
for you, that's a compliment.
Yes, which I was really, I thought that'd be very, very cool.
Now, there is one complaint I have, though.
What's that?
It's good for the family.
It's good for the kids.
It's good for the adults.
I like storyline and all that,
but my worry is for the younger kids.
Let's say five to ten.
OK.
The plot can get real complicated.
Two complicated for a five to ten year old.
See, and I know there's the fun things for the kids,
and they can enjoy the thing and all that stuff.
But for the young, oh, allow me to disagree.
Yes.
I don't find this plot any more complex than like a toy story.
I just don't.
I thought there's going to be certain things that
may go over some of the younger kids' heads,
but I don't think that would take away
from their enjoyment of it.
And I see that point, but my little,
if I have a complaint, if five year old, let's say a ten year old, 11 year old,
is trying to watch this and understand the plot,
if I get a little complicated.
I think you might be going a little too high on that.
I think maybe, I think the limit would maybe be six or seven.
Yeah, but that's why I'm really worried.
If I have one complaint, that would be it.
But beyond that, I really found everything else enjoyable,
and that my bar was a little too.
And it's succeeded in my bar in this film.
I loved, this runs about 97 minutes,
a little over an hour and a half.
I loved how they would go back and forth between
what the kids saw going on and what the adult saw going on,
like there's a chasing in the backyard where it looks like,
it looks like Tim's being dragged by the baby in this little car,
and then cut to the parents watching, and they're just like,
mmm, oh, yeah, just, just that difference in perspective,
I really enjoyed the parents are watching,
oh, the kids are playing outside.
They ain't playing, no, they're playing.
There's something going on, and it's just wonderful,
and it's just, I really had a good time watching this film.
It's funny, it's got a real good story about family,
and the ties that bind us as the kids like to say.
It's really, really a good family film.
As we're getting ready for the summer movie season,
where it's going to be stuff's going to explode.
It's good to have films like this that can get a good quality family film
that families can go together.
Totally, and I agree with you on that, but yeah, my bar was low.
My bar was low as well, and it far exceeded it.
Yes, it did, it did, and Bob, I just can't see enough.
The voicing was good by the entire cast, I think they fit well,
but Bob would made that.
He's always great, and finally, you know, in these last seven or eight years,
where he's really embraced comedy, it's taken his career to me to a whole different level.
It's really as a second act to his career, because he's so good in comedy,
and he really shows his comedic job done some real serious roles in the past.
Oh, absolutely, some incredibly serious roles, but he could do this comedy a bit now.
Oh, it's, that's an L proved to that, you know, and then 30 rock, and he's just,
he's embracing it, and he's owning it, and he's,
like, there's a current SNL role.
No, he does that perfectly.
Yeah, yeah, we don't want to get it.
And he's having a lot of fun with it.
Oh, yeah, and you could tell he's having fun.
And people are enjoying it.
Yeah, yeah.
And people will enjoy this film, regardless of what you believe.
This is a good family film, and it's a film that all family should go to.
I don't see anything that any parts of the film that,
why I think a parent's would be worried about.
I agree with you, I agree with you.
Exactly.
So just my one minor complaint, where Mike, you know,
for maybe a, you know, seven year old like you're saying,
but beyond that, I enjoyed it.
I was surprised.
Anything else you want to say for, we put some,
put some ratings on this thing?
Nah.
All right, let's get to the final analysis.
The way we do the final analysis on this show,
we're not going to give you thumbs-up thumbs-down.
We're not going to give you like three passifiers or whatever.
Our audience whom we affectionately have referred to as the empire,
because we love them.
They want us to go deeper.
We're going to go deeper.
Here's how this works.
We're going to ask up to two questions.
Question number one is, would you see this film again?
If the answer's no, then we're done here.
But if the answer's yes, then gauging your interest in the film.
The spectrum goes from top to bottom, full price at the theater.
Twilight, Matt and A, early morning, second run at the dollar theater,
Red Box, Netflix, cable.
Don, would you see this film again?
Yes, I would.
If are you willing to go?
I would. I'm putting it as a Matt and A for the family,
or maybe even a Twilight.
I'd agree with you there.
I think I'm Matt and A is a really good way to go see this film
that everybody can really enjoy it.
You know, you don't have to commit a whole day.
You can go in the middle of the day and then go do some other stuff,
and then have dinner and go home and chill out.
It's a great film.
I mean, if you want to pay full price, I'm not going to stop you.
Yeah, but it's, it's a really good,
Matt and A to take the kids to on a Saturday.
Maybe it's raining and your outside options are limited,
but you want to get out of the house.
This would be a great film to go see.
Go dinner after and maybe go home.
Play the board game at night with the family.
Hey, you know what?
You owe me a big fan of the board game.
Yes, you know this to be true.
