In his 702 on the East Coast, it is 402 on the West Coast.
It is the 31st of July in the year of our Lord 2016.
Season 7, Episode 3, sequentially 353 times.
This voice has welcomed you to the Clubhouse Podcast Live every Sunday night.
We don't care how you listen, whether you're listening to us right now live around the world
as the kids like to say, whether you're checking us out on the U-stream archive, or maybe
you're just subscribing on iTunes.
Welcome.
My name is Rob.
I am the executive producer of the Clubhouse Podcast and got a little sun this weekend.
As yesterday, I was officiating a wonderful wedding for Charlotte's dad and his brand
new wife.
Had a great time.
Some congratulations to Craig and Joanne.
I could say that on my show because this is my show.
But I'm not only only one here.
Joining me across the desk is my co-host as he tends to do each and every week.
The man who's, I don't know, can I have a quiet week?
I don't know.
Oh, what going on this week?
Very quiet there on the home front.
He is Chad.
Welcome, sir.
It's been really late back.
Sometimes you need that as the seventh month of the year is coming to an end.
And it's still just stupid hot.
Also joining us today is a man who lets somebody right on his car a couple of nights
ago.
But there was a specific purpose and we're kind of okay with that.
He has Dave Scott.
Welcome, sir.
Thank you.
Nice job on that the other night.
Yeah, I know.
I got so lucky with that.
Did you see that, Chad?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Care to explain.
Ernie Winston Hudson signed my, uh, my echo.
It's pretty neat.
It was a Ghost Busters night out there at in Frisco.
You know, could have brought his friends, but, you know, apparently his fingers got broken
that day.
I didn't want to call anybody.
But that's okay.
I saw the uni.
He's also pretty cool too.
Yeah.
I didn't know if I could get extra tickets or anything.
Oh, that's okay.
I'm just doing great.
I literally got crap because I got asked for my family to come.
Really?
Yeah.
But you know, they're like, no, no families.
We're not a family of staff.
Exactly.
But you know, I have, I have a very large echo of version tribute.
Yes, you do.
And impressive one.
I had Ernie sign it.
That's one big Twinkie.
Yeah.
It says on there.
So.
Seems like it's got a great time.
Yes.
The young ones were with you.
It was such a good time.
I did not see El Capiton.
El Capiton was, uh, was working that night.
So she couldn't cut.
She couldn't.
Learning the value of adulthood and working over getting to do fun things.
Uh, corrections for a last week.
Last week was just a hot mess.
So can we just chalk it up to that?
It's something we'd rather even not even.
It was a hot mess show.
It was a hot mess in the studio because with that many people in here was about nine
billion degrees.
What if you want it?
If you want to count the mistakes just start from the getting.
Go to the end.
You'll run out of fingers real quick.
Yeah.
I think before we get to the predictions.
And we're going to talk about prediction updates.
Here just a little bit wild.
A little bit wild.
I think so.
I think that's what you said.
Sorry.
A little stupid.
All right.
Well, NASCAR is kind of an interesting animal this week.
Uh, we are in the Poconos for the.
Poconos.
No, the Poconos in New York.
I'm sorry.
We're not in the Poconos.
We're actually at the Brickyard this week for the.
Poconos.
You shut your mouth.
For the this week's race was the crown royal presents the combat wounded coalition 400 at the Brickyard.
But it didn't happen.
Okay.
It got rained out.
So they're going to actually run the race tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. Eastern.
So if you're at the house at 11 a.m. Eastern tomorrow and you tune into your.
NBCSN affiliate where you are or you can watch it on the NBC Sports app as well.
It will be available to you.
But since we haven't done standing in a while.
Let's go ahead and do your driver standing at this point in the season because.
You realize we're only about six or seven weeks from the chase sir.
That.
We're getting close.
Why is my.
Oh, because I'm not pushing the right button.
There we go.
All right.
So top 18 go to the chase.
Odd man out right now.
They call in the stone Ryan Blaney.
He drops to to 19 Trevor Bane also drops to but he's an 18.
A Dale earn heart junior stays in 17th but man he's holding on by a thread.
Because he is only one point behind Casey Kane who jumped to to 16 and he's only three points ahead of Trevor Bane.
So junior's got to start doing some racing.
You saw that he he's actually not racing right now.
He's had some concussion syndrome.
Oh, issues and did you see who's racing in his place.
Jeff Gordon is driving Dale Ryan hard junior.
That's right.
So that's right.
16th Casey Kane has we mentioned jumping to jumping four spots into the 15th Kyle Larson.
He sounds like one half of like a buddy cop show in the 80s.
Larson and Davis.
Okay.
Okay.
Jamie.
Jamie.
Can we let out.
I know.
Believe me.
I need to first time.
The last Jamie Murray stays in 14th Ryan.
Hello.
Newman.
Switches places with Austin Dylan the new sheriff in town.
13 and 12 respectively.
It's the first through the NASCAR race.
He does this all the time.
Oh, Russ says it still says off air.
Let me try this.
It's so funny.
It's still funny.
Russ that we fix it.
Can you hear us now?
Real me.
Damn.
It actually nice car is real.
You can't really stage NASCAR sir.
Russ says we are having some problems on air.
Are we on air now?
Russ can you hear us?
I think he should be able to.
But we'll give him a minute.
Oh.
Technology.
Let's see.
Where were we?
Yes.
In 11th place to stay.
11 through seven are right where they were before.
Chase Elliott.
What a great name for a NASCAR driver.
He is in 11th.
Denny Hamlin.
You're going nowhere with these.
I don't care.
I'm going to.
I'm going to.
I'm going to keep doing it until it works.
Keep chopping out.
You're going to.
That's right.
Eventually sir.
It's like just every just lays out on me for NASCAR.
My jokes are just going flat tonight.
And I'm typing that into the description of tonight.
Matt Ken's at the ninth.
Six times six times six times six times six times six times six times six times
Spring Cup champion Jimmy Johnson is in eighth.
Russ says he can hear us now.
That's great.
I'm going back online again.
Martin true.
That's junior in seventh.
Carl back flip Edwards drops to to six.
So Kyle Boosh.
And Joey Lagano both jump a slot a piece to five and four.
Kirk Boosh in third.
All three of your top one stay the same.
Brad Kezalowski and Kevin Harvik.
He is 24 points in front of Kezalowski for the top spot in the chase.
If it started today.
Next week.
We are embracing on Sunday at two thirty eastern.
The oh actually I'm going to hold it.
It is Watkins Glen is where we're going to be Chad.
Do you see who's carrying this race next week?
No.
USA.
Really?
Is USA ever carried NASCAR?
Like ever in the history of ever?
I thought like Fox had a lock on NASCAR.
No this is it.
We're NBC the rest of the way in pretty much.
But we're NBCSN.
Yeah we're NBC the whole rest of the way in.
To either NBC or NBCSN.
But you know I mean USA is part of that universal family.
But I don't think USA is ever carried a race before.
Hmm.
This will be the cheese it 355 at the Glen.
Moving on.
You guys are not helping me.
I just want you.
I want all of you to know this.
None of you are helping me today.
It's now.
I feel so bad for Russ because he's missed out on all of these wonderful NASCAR games.
Russ is with me.
Okay.
Russ is with me.
People are no help.
I was invited to the show as well.
Be there a sand that both of you can go pound outside.
And believe me there is in my backyard right now.
Let us move on to some TV talk.
We are your one stop shop for all things pop culture.
Congratulations to the rock and rob corgery in the cast of ballers.
They have already gotten the green light for season three sir.
Good.
So that's got that going for them.
Also.
Have you checked out anything from the AMC show turn.
The American Revolution drama.
I saw the bumper sport when they were promoting it.
But I have yet to.
It is going to get a four season but it will also be the final season.
Apparently they're running out of story and they like the four seasons is fine.
Because it's really what we want to tell.
I'm never catching a little bit of it when I was watching walking dead.
I'm like, I don't like that.
Jill's want to make sure that her username is showing up in the chat room.
It is.
Okay.
So you're good.
So how much have you heard about this buckaroo barns I think?
Only when I read last week.
Whenever they.
Whenever Kevin brought it up.
So Kevin Smith has been asked.
Buy the fine folks.
Who's who owns that property now?
Is that paramount?
Where's that universal?
I don't even know who put it at her rich.
Today the tree.
I want to say it was like a Ryan originally.
But whoever's owned it they called him in.
Because Kevin's a big buckaroo barns I fan.
Not like roadhouse.
Completely crazy.
But they they want him to do a buckaroo barns I series.
And it is.
Oh, Russ says it's going to be on USA because NBC and NBC S.N. are going to be doing the Olympics.
Okay.
That makes sense.
Well played Russ.
Well played sir.
So Amazon's going to pick up buckaroo barns I think.
And he's actually reached out to Quentin Tarantino to come direct an episode.
Because he says he said quite a few different conversations with Quentin about their
mutual admiration for buckaroo barns.
Now I did say that he's either has he reached out or is he considering reaching out
to well or he's reached out publicly.
Because he said it on fat man on Batman or one of the podcast last week that he wants
as many of the original cast involved playing the original roles or just kind of involved
in somebody's own farm where however he can get him.
I just hope it's not a lot of 2016 Ghostbusters where he just puts him in the background
and you barely see that there.
And this week coming up is when he will start pitching to the networks for the mall rat
that's 10 episode half hour series.
Good.
But hook up by Crook he's going to get a mall rat sequel out there somehow.
Somewhere.
Somewhere.
Well he's got almost all the principles agreed to do it.
So he gave out on mall rats too.
He's going to pretend to a series instead of a film.
He said instead of just telling a two hour movie he can now tell a five hour story
where he can go into things like kids of the original cast and things like that.
So I'm sure it's going to wound up just like hit somebody.
I'm going to watch it.
Yeah, but is it ever going to see the light of day?
It's Kevin.
You got a 50 50 shot.
He was as long as he shows up in Denton, Texas in about six weeks.
I don't care.
He's he's.
Thank you.
By that.
He's about as bad as my is my leader.
Now when it comes to I'm going to do this and then it never happens.
Good.
You're rolling the doves.
Just saying.
Uh, there's so much I could have added to that.
But I'm going to leave it alone because I've not been nice lately.
It lately.
He said.
If you're a fan of supernatural get ready for season 12 coming up.
Apparently their looser for works is way through different vessels of people.
That vessel this year will be played by one Rick Springfield.
Oh dear God.
Why not?
I know Ron is going to be watching that then.
But I'm telling you, when I didn't even realize it was him in season two, true detective
until somebody told me.
Really?
When you see him in season two, true detective, you're just like, whoa.
Did not see that coming.
Same like I read somewhere that the show run for supernatural said.
They're they're not out of ideas.
They're not they're not looking to end the show at any time soon.
Why would you?
Well, I'm just there are so many shows that it like once they've hit 10 seasons.
A lot of a lot of you know.
Higher ups feel like they may have run their course.
Well, plus the fact of that shows got heck of a following to it.
Yes, really.
I didn't realize how many people I know that watch that show.
It just comes up in conversation.
You watch that show.
I don't really watch that show.
Well, Buffy and Angel were kind of the same way.
And they put bullets in those shows relatively quickly.
But Buffy, Buffy had a built-in audience going in though because you had the film
beforehand.
Yeah, but it didn't even resemble the film.
It was based on outside of cast character names.
Yeah.
I didn't watch either one of those shows because it wasn't 12 when they came out.
And I feel like we, from what people have told me, we really missed out on something.
Really?
Because I saw the film.
I thought the film was ridiculous.
I liked the film.
I thought the film was.
I enjoyed the film.
It was, it was passable.
But I didn't think it was TV series worthy.
And then people tell me, dude, the series is nothing like the film.
And it's more your style than the film will ever dream of being.
So I feel like I've kind of owed it to myself to go back and watch it.
I just never had my wife loves it.
My wife is a huge fan.
The MST3K reboot now has a home.
It will be on the Netflix.
Perfect home for it.
So get ready for it, kid.
That's coming.
Netflix is doing so much right.
They're killing it right now.
Speaking of Netflix, we do have a debut for their Gilmore Girls Revival.
It will drop on November the 25th.
So you'll have a chance on Thanksgiving weekend to binge that.
If you are a fan of the Gilmore Girls.
Never watched that.
I put that in the same league as Charmed.
I actually had to watch that regularly at the on the treadmill at the gym.
I can't stop staring at Rose.
Dude, we're not going to judge you.
We know that you purposely positioned yourself
and certain treadmill's just to watch it.
Well, Rose McGowan pretty much walks around without a brawl.
The entire show.
So it's really interesting.
Either do I.
Get it.
I rendered him speechless.
Because he threw up at his mouth a little bit when you said.
See, that's a phrase I don't understand.
Where else are you going to throw up?
Because it's going to come through your mouth regardless.
But he literally hit the floor is what I'm saying.
But you're still throw up your mouth.
He's not.
Yeah, he respects your electronic equipment, sir.
You should thank him for that.
I'm like him.
He has a point.
Amazon has also picked up the star series The Last Tycoon.
Who's in that?
Wasn't that the one?
Because Kelsey Grammar isn't that the one?
No, that was the boss.
Oh, that was boss, wasn't it?
Because somebody else had a hold of this series.
And now Amazon's going to get a hold of it.
Speaking, we talked about cameos just a minute ago.
It's on interesting series of tweets from the iced tea today.
As they are busy filming the new season of SVU.
Your current vice president will be appearing on S.
Saw that.
Yeah, yes.
In the second episode, they'll go air on September 28.
And apparently he gave iced tea.
They have these special coins.
That has the vice presidential seal and Biden's name.
He's really sharp looking.
If you look him up.
And he said that Biden knew more about him in his career than he may have real life.
He used to buy new more iced tea as a.
Binds gangster.
If he's if he walked up to the ice.
I started quote six in the point.
I don't know.
I don't know.
No, no, no, no, no.
I knew a lot about his career.
Wow.
He held up.
But if you check out his Twitter feed.
He's got him up there.
It's a really nice looking coin.
He walked up to the iced tea with a vinyl copy of Ryan Pays.
It's a coin focused right in between Coco's boobs.
No.
No.
It's pretty much worth it.
Because those aren't even hers.
Well, they're hers now.
Yes.
Possession is to nine tons a lot.
Russ says something about Katie's the goal.
It's going to be guessing on the big bang theory.
Yes.
She's going to be the mom.
Yeah.
Who's mom?
Your mom.
Yeah.
I can't remember.
I don't know the characters because they don't want to show.
I want to say was the girl that was in that film that we saw about the gymnast.
We also have a debut for HBO's Westworld.
I thought it was October.
October 2nd.
Yes.
The official date.
There's been some issues on this set, but they still think they're going to have everything
ready.
You seem to trailer yet.
I still haven't seen the trailer.
Y'all need to watch it either day.
It's basically a theme park where you can go and live in the old west and then things go horribly wrong.
It's based on a film from the 70's that you'll Brenner.
It's really nice.
Based on a book written by the guy that wrote the book that made the film.
That your hat represents.
Oh.
So you're going to witch Jurassic World is your HBO premiere this week.
Yeah.
Basically when ever cried and was doing Jurassic Park.
It's been on HBO for at least a month.
But that's the 730 slot.
It's been on there.
So maybe it's whatever's our own.
No, the peanuts movies on.
Oh, maybe that's the debut of this week.
Yeah.
Because usually that 770 slot.
It said Jurassic World.
I mean, it's for sure.
Okay.
Right and 770 wrote Jurassic Park.
It was basically a spiritual sequel west world.
Hmm.
So I think he'll be into it pretty big.
So big news tomorrow.
As we know tomorrow is August the first tomorrow is also the 35th anniversary of the debut of MTV.
Yes, it is.
So tomorrow.
VH1 Classic rebrands.
It will now be MTV Classic.
And it will focus on all of their programming in the 90's and early 2000's before
everything stopped being music videos.
They're going to be the tomorrow at noon Eastern.
They will be airing the very first hour ever of episodes.
I mean, of MTV.
So basically we're going to get video killed the radio star and Mark Goodman's intro.
Yep.
And then they're going to be doing a one hour documentary called the TRL decade.
Followed by a huge probably at least five hour marathon of unplugged.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And they're going to be like tomorrow morning.
They're doing a five hour block of nothing but 90's videos.
Then I can do that.
So you're going to get all of their programming.
Probably maybe a little sandblast and see Kevin James before anybody knew who he was.
Hopefully a whole lot of beef isn't butt head for a new generation.
So I'm going to be interested to see how this bit works.
There is going to be some DVRs that are going to be over capacity.
I've got that TRL thing an hour one set for me.
Both of those programs are set now.
Isn't an amazing that MTV only lasted like 15 years tops with music videos.
I think you might be generous there.
I mean, when it was.
I would say I mean, the real world was wasn't my first year of college.
That would have been fall of 91 spray of 92.
So yeah, I mean, before they abandoned the whole bit probably 15, 16 years.
But does this, is this really MTV classic shouldn't this be MTV classic too?
Shouldn't the first decade be MTV classic in the second decade?
Remember how old we are?
I'm just saying that 90's are classic.
I'm just, it's the 35th anniversary.
You can't put the first half on one channel.
I'm able.
Logic.
It just seems a little stupid to me.
I mean, I'm glad that they're doing it, but I don't think they're going far enough back.
Speaking of VH1,
VH1 working with the Ice Cube.
Okay.
By the way, Katie's going to play Penny's mom.
Or Ice Cube, the guy who doesn't know.
Oh no, wait for it.
For a brand new game show.
Oh no.
Hip hop squares.
Shut up.
I'm not kidding you.
Shut up.
This is a thing.
Shut your fist.
Filthy.
This is a thing.
We get to play where all the white people at.
Properly.
Do we know who's going to be in the squares?
Or do we do?
It is still under development.
It is supposed to be fast tracked once they get it up and running.
Is he hosting it?
All we know is that he's producing.
I screwed up the line.
It was where all the white women at.
And I was just going to let it go.
Also, a rest of the development season five is just about a done deal.
But after that.
After that fourth season was rough.
I never got to it.
It's in my queue.
So I was watching something online about disappointing season.
It was like a list of people say.
Disappointing.
Yeah.
Okay.
Because what in the whole just of this thing being out.
How dysfunctional the blue family is.
And that's a whole bit.
Okay.
And apparently in this season, they all just tell their separate stories.
They're rarely together as a family.
So I said it just that the chemistry wasn't there.
So I thought we'd do something new starting this week.
Oh.
Okay.
Kind of a recycling of another segment of this show that more applies here.
We talk about movies on DVD and blue right.
So I thought starting this week.
We'd also add a segment right here where we talk about TV.
That's going to be on DVD and blue right this week.
That makes complete sense.
That happens.
So for instance, season three of the black list.
We'll hit this Tuesday.
Is your wife fan of that?
She's a huge fan of that.
Okay.
That's what I thought.
The Nick season two.
I didn't know that was still a thing.
What's the Nick?
It's a show on Showtime about surgery and doctors in the turn of the century.
Oh.
And how they used to use heroin as a pain killer.
And then what they do at the apparently the end of each episode.
They show you the facts behind the story that they're telling.
Look up.
Look up how doctors used to get women past migraines.
Don't even want to.
I'm not going there.
Yeah.
They made a showtime.
Why I'm spot season one because that is getting a season two with the with the
Oh.
Oh.
The blind spot.
Did you see that?
No.
From the four movies.
Jamie Alexander.
And that the one where she wakes up in Times Square.
I forgot the tattoo.
Yeah.
Okay.
Season one of stars is movie or series based on the movie.
The girlfriend experience.
Which I had no desire to see the film.
Don't really want to see this.
They got her back, right?
No.
It's somebody else playing the role.
I thought it was Sasha.
I thought they got Sasha great in reprise.
I thought it was somebody else.
Maybe it's about somebody different.
Maybe she.
It was like destined.
But I don't think she's actually the main character.
Okay.
And the complete series of cashmere mafia.
If you've been waiting for that.
It'll be available.
It was a show.
I think it was on NBC.
Cashmere.
What?
It was a thing.
It was a thing.
Is it what I think it is?
It's not about friends.
No.
Is this on the logo network?
No.
It was on NBC.
Is this like a mafia run by women?
No.
It was kind of.
They were trying to model it after sex in the city.
Oh, God.
One of those kind of things.
Kill me now.
Okay.
Guys.
No, isn't it?
It's all guys.

All right.
Charlotte Parker is on Pinterest.
And Jules Womig is not only in the green room, but she's in the chat room as well as we're
going live.
Right now, let's get into POI.
POI stands for a person of interest.
It is a segment we do on this show.
Where we take a person or an entity or in this case in experience.
And we debate their greatness or lack of their.
This was when we were going to do if we had time to
two weeks ago while we were at the Asian Film Festival.
But if you heard that show, we didn't have a lot of time to breathe because Dom was
bringing that's a lot of great guests, how to great show out there.
So I think we go ahead and do it tonight.
As you know, the first couple of weeks of July, we took the couple of weeks off because
I was out of town.
I drove back to my hometown, right outside of Fort Lauderdale, for my 25 year high school
reunion.
Took about a week down there afterwards and just kind of hung out with my nephew and got
to see some friends from back in the day.
And got to re-acquaint myself with some new friends and it was really, really a really
good time.
But really when I want to talk about when we talk about POI tonight, I drove this thing.
We were just talking about this.
Jules and I were just talking about something to drive in.
For those of you that don't know, we are centered out of Dallas, Texas.
So if go get yourself a map, look at Dallas, look at Fort Lauderdale.
It's about a 19-hour drive.
It's about 12, 1300 miles.
First of all, let me just preface to this thing.
I love to drive.
Usually if we go anywhere, I pile everybody into silver who has a brand new windshield
by the way, because it's when she'll get cracked this past week.
I just love to drive.
I'm a big fan of it.
I turn on the radio.
You know, I did to drive by myself, which I don't mind doing either, because when you're
doing a drive that long, you kind of get to be on your own time schedule.
You know, I stop when I have to be.
That was.
I stop when I'm hungry.
I was an XMS serious heavy player.
I was at more podcasting and I bought it this time around.
On the way down there, it was more heavy podcasting.
On the way back, it was more heavy, XM, because I was caught up on everything.
Okay.
I did it.
I broke it into two days, both ways.
I actually made it all the way to Cocoa Beach on the first on the way down there,
which was only about two or three hours from my hometown.
Coming back, I made it to Schreepport, Louisiana, which again was two or three hours from here.
But I'm finding, as I'm getting older, it's still fun to do.
It's just a little bit more taxing.
Is it, is it tougher on you physically?
Or is it just physically for sure the back, the hands get a little numb?
And I wouldn't even go that far.
It's, it takes me longer to read just on at the end of a road trip.
Especially a road trip like that.
If we're going to Austin or Houston three to five hours, that's not that big of deal.
Right.
So it's a big impression.
I'm not kidding you when I say, well, I got back on a Saturday.
I took the following Monday off to the end of my vacation.
So I'd have two or full days to decompress, which I learned after our honeymoon, because we went to work the next day.
And that was the best.
Oh dear God.
It has been two weeks since I've been back.
I'm just now to the point where things are back to abnormal.
Wow.
I don't know what it is.
I don't know if it was just, I had such a good time that I didn't want it to end.
Because I even said when I wrapped up, because those of you that follow me on social media,
I documented the crap out of this trip.
Yeah.
I warned everybody before hand.
For about two weeks, my social media is going to be flooded.
So be prepared.
That was like what?
We in trouble.
Six to eight Instagram posts a day on an average if you're lucky.
I was, I was taking pictures of everything.
You may not be posting everything, but you posted quite a bit.
Yeah, there was, there was some stuff I didn't post.
Just because, I don't know, they might be in a director's cut somewhere down the road.
But there were some things that I took pictures of, and I was like,
maybe not.
And not in like a PG to R kind of away, but just in kind of a, this is a little bit too
inside, and I don't think a lot of people would know about it.
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
You know what I'm saying?
But like mentally, I was incredibly taxed.
Like it just, it was, I don't know it was weird.
I still loved the trip.
I had a great time on the trip.
And you know, I had to tell people, I probably speed it a little bit faster
through Tallahassee just so I could get through that town.
So I didn't have to be anywhere near Florida State longer than I had to be.
But it was a really good trip.
But I don't know if it's the kind of thing I could do every year.
Because I still want to go, I would love to be able to go home for a few days every year
and see everybody, but I don't know that I could drive it.
I don't know.
That's the reason why I don't call.
You're from Jersey.
That's put it out there.
That's a much longer drive too.
Well, I fly.
I don't, I don't ever drive.
And that's a three or four hour flight.
Yeah.
It's like a five.
It's, well, it used to be five.
Now it's down to like four.
Okay.
But when I go up there, it's like nobody wants to go to anybody's house
to do like a big meetup.
I get the enjoyment of driving to each and every family member's house
after flying 2,000 miles to go see them.
I have to go to each and every one of their houses to go visit with them.
And if you don't go visit them, they get ticked to each.
But see that's the way in a timely manner as well.
Yeah.
I figured that out this time around.
Because this was the first trip I've ever taken.
Where I took, because I stayed with a friend of mine who was my youth director
when I was a kid.
His son is my nephew.
He's the first person to ever call me Uncle Rob.
And we were born 20 years and one day apart.
So it's the first time since he turned one
that we got to spend our birthdays together.
And it was really awesome.
I bought him the Holy Grail because he'd never seen it.
You know.
But this was the first trip I've ever taken.
Where I was like, because usually I try to plan things out.
I want to see this person.
I want to go do this.
And then things tend to fall through.
And you guys know that part of my OCD kicks in.
Where I always have a plan.
And if the plan doesn't come through, it tends to annoy me a bit.
So this time what I did was I said,
I have to go to my reunion Friday and Saturday.
And that Saturday was my birthday.
I'm spending the day with my nephew on his birthday.
From that point forward,
you'll want to hang out,
college a boy,
and we'll put something together.
I'm not making plans that far ahead this time.
And it worked.
I had no stress.
I got there.
There were certain people I didn't get to see,
which kind of bummed me out.
But I put it out there.
You only knew we joked.
Exactly.
Yes, at least come to me.
And some of me come.
And there were some people that reached out to me
that were just amazing to spend time with.
Actually, everybody was.
I mean, there wasn't a timer.
I was like, oh, I got to do that.
Everybody I hang out with had a great time.
You know,
and it was great to be able to say,
Hey, man.
I'm on your schedule.
Well, hang out as long as you want to hang out.
When you got to go, just tell me and we're good.
And it all worked out.
I wish it was that easy for me when I was,
when I would come home and visit from the Navy,
because I always hit every roadblock.
Like what you were talking about,
the thing you tried to avoid.
I'm just like, I can't clone myself and be everywhere.
I'm with you.
I'm like, y'all come to me.
But that was why, and that was why I took the 10 days, too,
because I gave everybody time.
So that nobody was just like,
you're only going to be here for a couple of days.
You're here for a week and a half.
So we've got time people.
Just, you know,
I had a lunch with a friend of mine who has been my big sister since we were 11.
And I went to her work.
And then we went and had lunch.
That don't bother me, none.
Because I like to drive.
And plus what else am I doing?
You know, I'm on vacation.
So if I got to drive 20 minutes,
who cares?
But you're not getting any time to decompress and kind of enjoy.
But nobody really, but I really did.
You know, there was a morning where my nephew was taking some summer school classes.
So he was doing his assignments.
And I said great.
And it was actually turned out to be a day that I went and had breakfast with one of my cousins,
who I don't ever get to see who just happens to live down there.
She's in the Coast Guard.
Let's up Jennifer.
I love you.
I had breakfast with her and her daughter.
And I was like, you know what I'm going to do?
Since I'm going back anyway,
I'm going to go see the old hood because I'm down that way.
I'm out from when I was little.
And I'm going to go walk around the mall that's down here,
but I like so much.
And I was able to make all that time.
So I was able to geographically do it.
I was like, warm down here.
Why don't I just do this?
And I did.
And it just made the road trip that much more fun.
Now, of course, the wear and tear of what's on your vehicle.
So different.
But there's just something about just getting in the car and going.
Because I don't give me wrong.
I love the fly.
But flying has gotten to be such a beating.
Like when I used to have to go to Oklahoma City for a job,
I used to have about 10 years to go.
It took me less time to get in the car and drive to Oklahoma City
to the training center that it would have taken me to get to the airport,
get through security, get on a plane, get off the plane,
and take a taxi to the train.
I was there quicker by driving.
God.
Well, it's Oklahoma.
And I mean, we're not talking about like Florida.
Right.
No.
But what I'm saying is that's just the beating that flying has become.
Yeah.
And think, I mean, you know, I saved by just driving my car.
Exactly.
I don't have to run a car when I get there.
Exactly.
I don't have to, you know, you're beholden to no one.
Exactly.
Plus the fact of, you know, I've got to get to the airport two hours
or we just to make sure that, you know,
and God bless the people that work for TSA.
I'm a huge fan of the work those people do.
And the things that they have to go through every day.
I don't like you.
I respect you, but I don't like me.
Absolutely.
So just in case security's backed up, and then you have to deal with the idiots on the plane
that don't have that flying experience.
Or you get stuck sitting in front of the kid who's going to kick your chair for three
and a half hours.
It's just so much more relaxing.
I get, I get to do what I want to do.
How I want to do it.
I feel like I'm going to snap.
I'm going to snap.
How great it is.
It is more fun when you have people with you.
Yeah.
But for me, it's, I'm good either way.
I really wish the lovely and talented Mrs. Irwin could have been with me for this trip.
But, you know, when you do payroll or July 4th weekend,
you know, really get a lot of time off work.
I don't remember what my kids do.
You can go with me on vacation.
I just want my wife that's it.
And, you know, there's no other opinions on where we should go.
But also your kids are now at the age two that it's okay that if you go without them.
Yeah.
You know, it's hard.
You try to make the case for the man.
He just digs.
Fuck.
I did four trips, four trips to Disney.
Okay.
Four trips with them to Disney in eight years.
You should take one with just with the two of you.
That's, again, that's where we went on our honeymoon.
And you can get a guy that's, that strictly tells you the stuff that you,
that the, that the awesome stuff you can do when you don't have kids with you.
I'm kind of holding out for the Star Wars land.
Yeah.
But just remember that you're going to have to balance time there.
Maybe if you go before, you'll have easier time getting to spend more time there when it's built.
I'm just saying.
You're not just a universal trip.
And then I can all have for Star Wars.
But, I mean, is there anything else that we want to talk about as we talk about these road trips?
I had an amazing time.
I want to thank the Empire.
Your turn.
Fantastic.
I just want to thank the Empire for being patient with us while we took two weeks off,
which is, you know, kind of irregular for us.
I don't know that we've ever taken more than two weeks off on the show ever.
But it was amazing.
It was one of the best occasions I've ever taken.
And I even said in my, my wrap up post.
You know that feeling like when you go to summer camp and you're coming home from summer camp and
your heart's just heavy because you just want to live in that fairy tale forever.
That's how I felt.
That's about how I felt the last time I was a Disney World.
Yeah.
I mean, it was just, it was so much fun.
And I want to thank everybody.
I wish I could have seen more people, but I get people have lives and jobs and things like that.
And it doesn't mean I love you any less.
It just means we got to do it the next time I come home.
And hopefully it won't be five years away for the 30.
But it was just, it was amazing.
And if you don't like road trip and you ain't doing it right, Tom's in.
All right, gentlemen.
Let us move on and talk a little major league baseball.
And we're already there musically, apparently.
All righty.
It is, it is almost August.
And the Rangers are still holding on.
God bless you, sir.
Let's go to your standings.
American League East.
Tampa Bay.
But they've got this whole thing jacked up.
I don't like the way they do this.
That's what I'm looking for.
I was in the wrong link.
Okay.
That makes it easier.
Because we can't do some of the, some of the stats if I don't have the right screen on.
That's what you, but to pull up a rough writer stands there.
Well, no, actually, I went to the, we did the rough writer's game on Friday night.
I have a minor league baseball.
Arnie Hudson.
Such a fan.
It's hilarious.
So, like, I was there the entire night from, from 430 till 1030.
I caught not to one second of the game.
Well, you were, you were doing things.
I was, yeah, I was dressed as a ghostbuster and walk around.
And, you know, taking pictures.
No, you are a ghostbuster, sir.
Don't say yourself short.
It was a little rough when I had to go around to the bar and get me a beer.
Because I had so many people.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was like, it's mellot time.
Oh God.
No.
That took a second.
I caught it.
I caught it.
All right.
Let's go straight to your stand.
He's American League East.
The Tampa Bay Rays are terrible.
Yeah, the tools.
They are 19 games below 500.
They're 16 and a half back.
The Yankees.
You believe the Yankees are just barely at 552 and 52 right now.
Wow.
Which means we have less than 60 games to go.
They are seven back of the leaders.
But they are five and a half back on the Boston Red Sox.
Boston is a game behind Toronto.
Toronto right now only a half game back on Baltimore.
But Tampa Bay, even the last place they've won for in a row,
the Yankees have lost for in a row.
How's that?
American League Central.
The Minnesota Twins suck.
There are 24 games below 500.
They are 21 games back in the division.
They are nine games back on the Kansas City Royals who just got swept by your Texas Rangers.
They've lost four in a row now.
Unfortunately, they started that sweep after I went after.
I went to the event.
They got there.
They're a game and a half back on the White Sox.
The White Sox are six back on Detroit Detroit.
Now four and a half back on Cleveland.
But Detroit's eight and two women ate on a six game win streak in their last 10.
So.
In the AL West, the only division that matters the Chad.
We have a tie for last place in the AL West between the Oakland A's and.
La.
The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Los Angeles County, California,
American North America, Earth Milky Way.
They are both 47 and 58.
By the way, the LA, the Angels run differential is a one.
Right now.
Oh God.
So they are six and a half games back on Seattle.
Seattle was two back on Houston.
So who does that even first place in the AL West?
I don't know.
The one name you haven't named yet.
The year first place, Texas Rangers.
They are six games up on Houston right now, by the way.
Could not have picked a better night to go to that game.
Seven and three in their last 10.
The Rangers are trying to dispel the myth.
Get rid of the curse of the post.
All start game.
In the National League West, Arizona.
18 games below 500 or 17 and a half back there.
Two two games behind San Diego.
San Diego is six and a half back on the Rockies.
The Rockies are six and a half back on the Dodgers.
Misty's beloved Dodgers are now two and a half back on San from Cisco.
Look at something real quick.
Oh, that's going to be a thing, isn't it?
Poop.
In the National League Central, the Cincinnati Reds.
22 games below 500.
They're 21 games back there.
Six games back behind Milo Wacke.
But Milo Wacke is seven and three in their last 10.
They're on a four game win streak.
But they're still five games behind Don's beloved Pittsburgh Pirates.
Who are three behind John's beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals now seven back on the Cubs.
And in the only division that matters the National League East.
Atlanta.
Harry Potter.
I saw a shirt this week that had the Atlanta Braves logo for the last word of the shirt.
And it said this team makes me drink.
31 games below 500 right now.
We are 37 and 68.
Sir.
We are 24 games back at the division.
But they're the only division of matters.
There's their 10 games behind the Phillies right now.
The Phillies now eight and a half back on the Metz.
The Metz are two and a half back on them.
At least my marlins are trying to play ball because they're only four back on the
Cubs.
Which leads us to America's favorite game show.
Oh no.
What is the run differential for the Atlanta Braves.
Now let me say this up front.
The Braves have actually tied Cincinnati for the worst run differential in the league.
So at least we're not in the basement alone.
Let me I'll actually I'm going to hold off because I need to look.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right, Chad.
What's the run differential for the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Braves?
Oh.
170.
Dave.
2.
Okay.
Don's not here.
We're going to give Rush just a minute if he wants to put a prediction in.
Let me just go ahead and start giving you the stats.
171.
Okay.
Fair enough.
This is not the price is right.
The Atlanta Braves have a win percentage of 352 right now.
We have won five more games on the road than we have at home.
Oh God.
The number of teams who have a better record at Turner Field than we do is growing by the day.
That's pathetic.
We are 16 and 38 on the road.
We are 21 and 30.
I'm sorry.
16 and 38 at home.
21 and 30 on the road.
We're on a one game win streak.
Rush says minus 120.
We're 4 and 6 in our last 10.
Let me say that the closest team to us besides Cincinnati in this category is 34 runs ahead of us.
The Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves had a run differential.
Chad, you were way aggressive.
No.
Okay.
Minus 138.
Okay.
Right now.
So Rush was the closest without going over it.
Okay.
It just seems to get uglier and uglier every time you do this.
So let's say let's end this thing but on a high note if we can.
They did it honestly the 2017 all-star game will be July 11th.
And it will be at Marlon's Park.
Okay.
And the logo looks pretty sharp.
They did unveil that this week as well.
All right.
Let's do some music talk.
VMA nominations are out.
I still don't understand why they have this.
If you don't play videos, I might have to do a piece of quartz.
Taylor Swingler?
Not in the top 2.
And it's it's it's Tate Off Switler.
Oh, Tate Off Switler.
I'm sorry.
I thought she got snobed actually.
She's not in the top 2 because in second place,
Adele has eight nominations and the Beyonce has 11.
Why does Beyonce have 11?
Lemon R Day.
Mm-hmm.
Was a huge thing for her.
I got nothing.
Speaking of things that we actually do kind of relate to.
Pink Floyd, you see this announcement this week.
Mm-hmm.
On November 11th,
they will be releasing Pink Floyd the early years 1965 and 1972.
A 27 disc,
130 track box set of early materials and rare songs.
Yes.
I did see this.
That's going to be cheap.
Yeah.
I got that on me.
I got that on me.
Not much from an amusement.
Not much.
Although I did enjoy if you watched last week tonight with John Oliver this week.
The last topic he talked about was campaigns using songs illegally when they do their appearances.
Seems to be a trend.
Did you see this, Chad?
Oh, I saw the ending of it.
Oh, yeah.
We had a he got like heart,
Cheryl Crow,
usher,
Michael Bolton,
Josh Grobin,
the dude from a magic drag.
Yeah, that's the one I could identify.
John Melon can't.
I could remember if he was in my magic dragons or kings of Leon.
Imagine if I looked it up.
And they all did a song about stop using our songs.
It was funny.
And they said,
Now, well, even give you a song.
You can use it.
It was just a cat walking on an organ.
Ha ha ha ha.
And it said free song of it.
Free song.
Oh, it was brilliant.
That is one of the best shows on television right now.
And I'm sure they are kicking themselves for being gone for three weeks because everything
that's happened in the last month.
But did you also see the clip of John Stewart on the Colbert show?
Oh, my gosh.
He's very one-sided.
I can't let's know.
It's interesting.
Just look it up.
All right.
I posted it.
It's, it's a while back.
But I posted it.
Music new releases of this week in places you get new music new releases.
Angie Stone is back.
If you remember her.
Had a great song back of that.
I wish I didn't miss you so much.
I'm a big fan of her.
She did it with Prince at one point.
I'm sure she did.
I want to say it was giving my sunshine.
Didn't all the women do it with Prince at one point.
I saw him do it.
I saw him do it.
Oh.
It's called covered in soul.
Blackfoot.
If you remember there.
There are a band from way back in the day.
That at one time, Gracie did it.
What did it cover there?
It's called train train.
They're really going to bring it out.
I'm called Southern Native.
Dinosaurs Jr is back.
I don't know if you saw the video that the lead singer of Dinosaurs Jr did about it.
A month or two ago.
Vans has created a shoe.
That is actually a wallop headl.
This is true.
And one model actually has a guitar plugin where you can plug your guitar into the shoe.
And the guy from Dinosaurs Jr is doing the video where they're demoing it.
They're new albums called give a glimpse of what you're not.
Also, there is a Nick Fradiani.
Hold on.
I put this on there for a reason.
I cannot tell you currently what that reason is because I wrote this a long time ago.
A long time ago.
It's like Tuesday.
Let's see.
Nick Fradiani.
Where is it?
If you've been drinking all weekend, that is a long time ago.
He was a season 4 American Idol winner.
He's 14.
I'm sorry.
He's in 14.
I never heard of the guy.
And skillet spray new album release.
They actually had one of the themes for the paper view last week.
So congratulations to the kids from skillet.
This one who hasn't done a paper view thing.
Hey, I'm, I'm only, whatever they use a Christian band.
I'm always going to, to give props for that.
One quick in memoriam this week.
This was one of those.
When I got the alert from Yahoo.
It was one of those bits where you really had to avoid the obvious joke.
Because you just felt dirty if you did.
If you didn't avoid it.
Hold on.
Let me get my big bad out.
You're a del heris.
Does this need anything to you?
You're a del heris.
Born in Los Angeles, California.
Raised in a Catholic Caribbean family.
Went to an all-girls boarding school.
Got married at 19.
She gave birth to a daughter to divorce at age 21.
She, uh, she and her partner opened a theatrical production company in Seattle.
Did a autobiographical play called for women only.
She also voiced the character, Auntie Pulei in the 2002 game grand theft auto by city.
What was this?
You would know her is Ms. Clea.
Oh, yes.
Oh, yes.
Ms. Clea.
Yeah, I posted this.
That's what her name was.
I was dancing a lot around it as far as I could.
Rust said that what we know is that new CD comes out.
But she didn't see that.
She could request.
Yeah.
There's that just.
But you know what we mentioned it because it was in a pop culture reference that people
of our generation like you say Ms. Cleo.
You knew who she was.
You knew who she was.
You remember the whole fake phone call craze were like, I want to say,
you remember that for a particular soundboard for the longest time.
It was her laugh.
We'll never get out of here.
Yeah.
Yes.
That particular one.
I want to say Stern did it all the time.
He would either do the Schwarzenegger.
Who is that?
And what does he do?
He would either do that one or he would do the Ms. Cleo call.
And I think she probably got more notoriety.
Way after the fact because of that fake phone call.
She ever got us as a court of quotes.
But she actually passed away with colon cancer this past week.
53.
That's younger.
That's young.
Yeah.
Didn't used to be.
I remember a time where we were.
And that's old.
Did we address?
Now that I'm a decade behind it.
I'm like.
Did we address Danny Green last week?
I don't think we did because we were doing WWE.
Yeah.
But we do want to acknowledge the passing of Dennis Green.
And it was weird because when I think of Danny Green,
I always think Minnesota.
Even though his most famous speech came with Arizona.
They are who we thought they were.
I watched that game.
That game was insanity.
It was a Monday night game against Chicago.
They were at home and they were up big in Chicago beat them.
But I always I always associate him with the Vikings.
And somebody pointed out a stat to me that he's the only coach that has ever gone to the playoffs six times with six different quarterbacks.
He had some sort of scoring achievement.
I saw it on Wikipedia when I pulled up his Wikipedia page.
I'm like, who would have thought this guy?
I mean, taking nothing away from the guy.
A great man.
It was a great man.
It was a pretty astounding achievement and it's been really downplayed.
And I want to say he ended his career like coaching ball in California for like,
like a semi-protein that he basically had to sue to get paid.
Which really sad.
I was a big fan of him.
I liked the guy.
He was he was he was a placer.
He was a powder cake.
Yes, he was.
As is the one crown crown.
And so they are who we thought that.
And who used that in there in there.
I was like, but he did.
No, no, no.
We also like we would also be remiss if we didn't mention Gary Marshall too.
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
I think great director producer.
Gary Marshall.
He did some of the great comedies of our time.
League of their own.
Well, well, his that was more or less.
That was Penny the director of that, right?
But he was in it.
He was in it.
Yeah.
But he didn't penny did a lot of things together.
Big.
I know he was associated with big.
But yeah, that was that was that was a blow.
That was a killer blow.
It's not going to be easier sir.
No, it's not.
Don't forget your next paper view show.
We are three weeks away from Summerslam.
Which may or may not be an early start time.
We have not gotten confirmation or denial of that yet.
So be prepared if we have to go on in that or early.
Because they want to.
Look at ours.
All right.
But let's talk.
Let's talk a little pro wrestling here.
If we may.
Let's get you paper view point of dates.
Because we've been doing predictions for years.
But we decided this year.
We were going to track them.
There are five people involved in this contest.
Bringing up the rear right now is Andrew with 11 points.
You get one point for each correct prediction.
And it's July.
But he's also missed the last two paper views shows too.
So that would hurt him.
Chad, you are in fourth place with 23 points.
So you got a little breathing room between you and Andrew.
You missed money in the bank.
How did I miss it?
It was father's day.
You were occupied.
Oh, okay.
Okay.
But you were six and three at battleground.
Not a bad performance there sir.
Okay.
Right.
The middle of the pack is L.A.
You are two points behind him.
He also missed money in the bank because it was father's day.
He was five and four.
He's catching up.
Awesome.
I am in second place with 29 points.
I got to tell you.
If you're headed to Vegas on my predictions,
you're not going to afford the playing tickback.
I was two and seven.
Go!
Really was it that all?
Yeah.
Don is winning this thing huge right now.
Remember, I have 29 points.
He has 46.
He was seven and two last Sunday.
He had a good prediction battleground show.
So that's where we're at right now.
We're just over the halfway point.
But remember, starting in September, we're going to have two paper views a month.
So it doesn't mean that Don's not catchable because we have more opportunity to gain more points.
Yes.
So this thing is far from over kids.
Speaking of the paper views on the network,
there was a big call this week for their quarter two financials.
The network is averaging 1.52 million subscribers right now.
So what was their average?
But we just hit a million earlier this year.
Well, I'm just curious.
What was their average?
Pretty WWE network peak.
That might be a stat that's worth looking in.
I have to find out I don't have that on me.
Like I'm wondering how much they were getting.
Paper view wise.
Paper view book sales or whatever.
Before they switched to network.
Primarily now.
It was announced this week.
You're very first.
You're very first.
Smackdown paper view will be backlash.
They're bringing backlash back.
They're bringing backlash.
No, they're not.
Speaking of backlash,
John Cena not being advertised for it.
Really?
They're not saying why.
But his American grit show, which I know you watched.
Did you enjoy that?
It was good.
Did you watch it?
It's getting season two.
It's like a reality show where they have four.
Four people from the special forces create a team that basically have to run a gauntlet.
And if they don't make it, whoever they act.
Somebody is going to give up.
They have to like ring the bell like they do.
It's seal training camp.
I think every guy Jane.
It's yeah.
Right.
That's a bull that will seal training camp.
I've got a lizard.
But you had four four people representing Navy.
Now they're not all people from the Navy.
But it's a Navy guy coaching them.
It's a Navy seal coaching them.
You got somebody from airborne, green berets in the Marine Corps.
And they, I mean, they put them through.
That's awesome.
They put them through HE double hockey sticks.
It's really good.
I really liked it.
I didn't think I would.
Last month I've been doing nothing but ghostbuster stuff.
Oh, no.
This was like a couple of months ago.
I wasn't going to win it when it aired.
It's something about it.
But I didn't, I didn't get to see it.
Like, for me, I see trailers for stuff.
And I was like, oh, yeah, I want to watch that.
And then that's the last that ever.
Up years.
Yeah.
It was like a Thursday night show on Fox at Rand for like like eight episodes.
I think.
Russ is saying TLC is going to be here.
I thought it was going to be Houston.
But I'm not seeing like the TLC Wikipedia page is not saying anything at this point.
Let me look and see if I can find it.
I wouldn't mind going to one of those events.
We've been to a preview.
We really, we have.
We had a great time.
Oh, I see.
Like my cousin, he has ass burgers.
And the only thing he can focus on is wrestling.
Okay. So I used to when when I lived up in Jersey.
I would pay to take him to events all the time.
We would go to at least three or four matches a year.
They're not listening past.
And I'd have to watch every paper view with them.
They're not.
They've taken TLC off the Wikipedia page.
So maybe they did change it.
I know SmackDown is going to be live here at the end of August.
Apparently WWC not disciplining rock,
But if not disciplining Brock Lesnar,
They're saying that UFC did their deal and they're not going to worry about it.
Yeah, it's is like a great line.
And if you have an FYE near?
You are no if you do out there in our wing to the general middle.
We're going to talk about that here in the moment, by the way,
Boudiotons will be on sale at your local FDIE.
The actual cereal.
It will be 12.99 per box at FYE, but you for 25.99 you can get a combo that includes a t-shirt
And you can also get a month shop. I'll have to get to get that for what's his name L.A.
L.A.
L.A. is a big fan of the new day. He probably already has them on order if I know L.A.
So well enough. I love L.A. He's good people.
Let's see.
Congratulations to Lana and Rusev. They got married on Friday.
Finally.
What a dress.
And that's all I have to say about that.
They got married on the beach.
Both of Bella's and her and Natty all had pictures up on Instagram.
How much of the dress was on her?
Speaking of the one Shayna, we just were a month ago. He's going to be co-hosting the teen choice awards
tonight with Victoria Justice. They may have taped it the other night, but there's Fox is showing it
tonight.
All right. Let's talk raw, shall we? Because I actually watched it. I didn't delete it by mistake.
So have you? What? What? What? This new belt? Really?
The WWE Universal Champion? Is this Memphis? What is this? We've done this before.
It was just called something else. Why can't we have one champion that defends on both shows?
And then that show would have bragging rights because they have the champion.
Give me the checkbook in a book for a year.
Wrestling. Stupid wrestling logic.
And the Ajax had her debut on Raw. And I want to thank WWE for not making Alicia Fox job to her with
somebody else. But that's always going to be doing with her anymore. The new day segment.
Could quote unquote Sunnyboy. Been more of an audience plant. Oh, yeah. You think.
Sell it a little bit, dude. It was terrible.
See the whole picture. That's only half the picture.
Yeah, there's a better picture. I'm just saying.
And I want to say something to Corey Graves. I know he's new to Raw. And did you notice that they've
moved the announced table back to the stage again? Yeah. I kind of liked the way they're
doing where they're actually standing up when they're doing the shots at the table. I kind of like
that. It's different. And I'm okay with it. That means it'll probably change it. Yeah, it's true.
But I want to tell Corey Graves this heel announcer bit. It doesn't stop. It doesn't suit him. No.
He spends half the time just like making fun of Byron Sachs and like first of all, who doesn't.
Secondly, and I like Byron Sachs. And I need to leave that mail alone. But secondly, it's just
called a match. Call the match, dude. It's almost need to do. It's like Corey Graves. I'm a fan.
It's so it's so unnecessary to where they feel like they they constantly have to go there.
You have to have somebody that's rooting for the bad guy.
Okay, I want to say about this ruse of wedding thing. They look like they walked out onto a
beach with three other people and one guy married them and then they walked back. That's pretty
much what happened. I spent three thousand dollars of my heart and my this guy makes millions.
She's happy. Your wife is happy. That's what matters. I'm sure she's happy. Exactly.
You don't know that could have caused me. And do you know what? I also want to send props again.
These women's matches are getting more and more time because these women are really good at what they
do and I'm glad that the WWE is recognizing that that division is getting better and better.
And do you have a new women's champ? Uh-huh. What? What? First of all, what a great match.
And they're not going out there as naked as they used to. It depends on how you look at it.
They're still kind of scannily clad, but it's not as overt. My question of the week.
It's not the lingerie football league. When was the last time? And I don't know if you,
if I can even recall an example that during a women's match, you heard a holy S chant break out.
Probably lead in trash. I don't even know if it happened at all. I mean, this was a great match.
Gratch of the year came up. Ending to that match. Yes. We're Sasha gets the bank statement.
And they've already said the rematch will be a summer slam. It's going to happen. I had mad
respect for those women after that. And I was like, I was looking at Jill's going, can you believe
what we just saw? And in that main event, I liked how Roman was playing the heel without being the heel.
Yeah. See, people come down on Roman a lot. But what they don't understand is I just don't think we've
seen the full potential of Roman Reigns yet. I just don't. There's something that for lack of a
better term, I think they're purposely holding back when it comes to Roman Reigns. There's something
about him that they're saying, don't do it yet. Just hold on. Don't do it yet. They're taking
the rock approach. It's kind of like how long it took us to see the Stiles clash when AJ came in.
It's one of those things. And I'm giving creative the benefit of the doubt here, which may be
dangerous. But I really hope you're right on that. Because I'm seeing these little glimpses of things that I'm going.
All right. I see what you did there. If you say what you did there. If you play this the right way,
you're going to put this guy over in ways that you never agreed to get over. It is well documented on
this show. How much I overanalyze everything, WWE. But I really think there's something coming.
That's kind of what we do. That's what we do. People are backing on Roman so much that I'm like,
I'm telling you, he's going to do something and you're going to go holy crap. And then you're
going to look back and you're going to go, they've been brewing this all along. So don't, don't
discount Roman just yet. It's all I'm saying. Congratulations to Edge. He is now officially a series
regular on the Vikings show. So I've got Lee. He's man's getting some work. Not as a wrestler. Thank
God because that way it spares his neck. But he's getting a lot of work. Shelton Benjamin, if there's
going to smack down live, that blew my mind. But there's also somebody else who we've heard is
signed and can be interested to see where he goes. We talking about it. We talked about it last week,
one Montel, Vantavius Porter. Okay. But they have an announced it. So it's unofficially official or
officially unofficial or wherever you want to work. It's unofficially unofficially unofficially.
Wow. That's, and apparently we, you, you mentioned this earlier last week with Randy Orton
mentoring, alluding to the Brock Lesnar situation during the paper view. He did not go off
scripts. Yeah. Yeah. That I was like, they okay. Somebody wrote that. This week, Bobby Roode and
Hideo Atami will both debut for NXT. So be ready for that. The main event for NXT back to
Brooklyn, which will be the night before SummerSlam is going to be Samoa Joe versus Shinsuke Nakamura.
That's going to be a match sir. We might have to schedule and get together to watch that live.
Okay. Because Shinsuke is he is the Japanese Terry Funk. That's the only way I can describe them.
And you put that in a ring with Samoa Joe. Stuff's going to explode. That's all I'm saying.
That's going to be an amazing match. Because I watched him in ring of honor and this dude can go.
Speaking of ring of honor, interesting ending to ring of honor this week. Six man tag Jayleetho
in the briskos versus the bullet club. Bullet club wins. They hold down Jayleetho and Adam
Cole shaved Jayleetho's head. Good. You think about that? Think about how long he's had that
hairdo. Go back to black with cheese mo. And then he's they shaved him bald. So it's like a little
bit of smack down. Have we turned Jayleetho into waller? Well, he did on smack down. We'll do these
really bad jokes. It's like, dude, you're better than this. He's been doing that for a while, though.
I don't know if he really is better than that. I think that's who he is now. It's it's
I've lost track of how many times. Either we've been watching it here or I've been watching
what jewels I might really do. Just stop. And either you or Russ or jewels or somebody
may have to go look at shop and see if the Viperville t-shirts are up because if they're not they
will be any day. Viperville? Because he mentioned it again on Ms. TV. I love it. I love it when Randy
plays Happy Heal. It just works for me. Is he healing though? I mean, happy face. I'm okay.
It's like when he's just having fun, you can tell with Randy when he's just having fun.
Did you watch? Did you watch Macdown? Yeah. Ziggler in that super kick.
Dude. God. Honestly, there were points in SmackDown. Like this is better than raw
last time. It was a good show. Okay. So it wasn't just me. And just as a note to Raw,
if you noticed with SmackDown, SmackDown was live and still knows how to end on time.
They still cut it at 9 o'clock central. And they did do that picture and picture thing again,
though. And they haven't done it since. And I was like, that is one of the, they probably got
their butt shoot for it. Because I think who whoever was it. Don't want to talk about the
advertiser. He may be right. I disagree with that. Well, because I don't, I don't,
I don't get the logic there. Because what you're doing is you're forcing people to sit through
the commercials because you're putting the picture and picture in. But it makes business sense to me.
But again, but they're paying for ad space that it's probably they think exclusively theirs.
Well, technically it is because they're, they got the big part of the screen. Yeah,
but actually the little part of the screen. The way they look at it. I'm just saying just
playing Devils advocate. They probably look at it the same way as look. We didn't pay to be a banner ad
while your show keeps going. We paid to be full. Just or, you know, when you pay full price for
ad time, you probably expect to go what I'm saying. You can pay all that time. But if I got nothing
else going on, I'm fast forwarding your time. But I'm saying, I'm not disagreeing with you.
I'm just saying that's how they're going to harm you. You actually did me to pay at least a
little bit of attention or at least listen to your commercial if you did that. Yeah, absolutely. I agree
with you. But I just don't know. You know, I'm the king of fast forward. Yes, you are. Yes, you are.
I will watch live events in delay just so I don't have to watch the commercials. Yeah. I
literally have nothing to add to this conversation. When it's shut up. Well, that's good because
Dave, you can wake back up now because this movie talk time. Yay. Okay. You don't have to
shut up anymore. All right. Let's go to our friends at Box Office Mojo for weekend numbers
dropping out of a top 10 this week. The infiltrator drops from 10 to 16. What is that? I don't even know
that's the movie that was with Brian Kranston that Don reviewed recently. Oh, oh, okay. Okay.
817 thousand dollars three weeks 14.4 million dollars. Also dropping from 8 to 13 this week.
Mike and Dave need wedding dates. 1.5 million four weeks 44 million 33 million dollar budget. Wow,
that had that had no shelf life at all. Dropping from 9 to 11, Hillary's America, the secret
history, the Democratic Party, which does have an honourser. It is the lowest rated rotting
to made a movie in the summer. 5%. Wow. Wow. I saw one review that actually said,
unless it's auto racing does a split screen. So it works for them. I saw a review that said this
movie makes propaganda films get a bad thing. Wow. It made $2.4 million in three weeks. It's made
8.7 million dollars. It's just got to be more than it's about $2 million to make. It probably
did. Oh, and Viperville, T-shirts, not existing yet. Okay. Not yet. Give it a couple of hits.
Dropping from 7 to 10 this week, the legend of Tarsan $2.4 million dollars.
Which we talked to Fred of the show Steven Zimmerman. He says this movie is really, really good. I
haven't seen it. It's on my list. It's really good. Five weeks, $121.9 million dollars, $180 million
budget, sir. It looks a little too CG-heavy. Finding Dory drops from 6 to 9. This thing is still
in the top 10. It's impressive. Another $4.2 million, seven weeks, $469 million dollars.
Unbelievable. Think it's going to be okay? I'm nerve-dabulous in eighth place. I'm kind of intrigued
by this film. Dabulous in eighth place though. Yikes. I don't think, I mean, it was only a little over
20, 500 theaters. But it made $9 million for a total since Wednesday because it was a Wednesday
release. It's made 15.1. And I'm actually, I would have screened it, but we were seeing something
else that night called the killing joke. So you'll see my review of that later this week,
because I want to get the blue ray on Tuesday, and I really want to actually dissect the blue
ray. So my review of that will come later this week. Ghostbusters drops from five to seven,
$9.8 million. Three weeks, $106.2 million, $144 million budget. It is going to crawl across
the finish line. But it will be there. Let me see what it's doing worldwide for you. It's made
52.1 foreign. So total of $158.3. Yikes. I wish I could must rent the desire. I really like this film.
I enjoyed this film. I've seen it three times and I want to say it a fourth. And for a guy that
didn't rebuild a car, I like this film because people can say that Dave might have a little bit
of a bias. It's taken from a guy who doesn't have a bias. I enjoyed this film. The trailers were
terrible for the movie. And it sold each character in a weird way. And it just didn't,
those didn't work. When you see the film, it's completely different. All I'm saying is you try
eating just one of these beautiful crutchy little parabolas. Ice Age collision course drops from
four to six. I didn't mean it. No, no, this is, this is when you need this because. So that's
a line from the film. No, no, no, I'm just saying I'm just saying. Ice Age collision course
dropped from four to six this week, $10.5 million. Two weeks, 42.1 million. With a budget wasn't
this sir. I was probably somewhere between 125 and 150. 105. Foreign. Well, they're going to be okay.
It's made 211.7 million foreign. I really don't want this thing. Quarter of a billion worldwide.
You're getting another one. Light's out. Drops from three to five this week. I will not be seeing
this film. This thing looks creepy. Uh 10.8 million dollars. Two weeks, 42.9 million dollars.
What was the budget was? 25. Take away 20. Really? $4.9 million dollars. That's a budget.
That's, that's good work. Secret life of patch drops from the silver medal to fourth place. I want
to see this film. So do I. Uh, it is, uh, 18.2 million dollars. Four weeks just over $2
hundred and ninety six million dollars domestic budget of 75 million. Wow. Wow. They're,
they're really bringing these CG films in under a relatively, uh, an overseas. It hasn't
hit a hundred million yet. That's shocking. So it's made most of its money here, which is actually
a good thing when you make most of your money domestic. Was it a simultaneous release or did it just
open overseas? Um, I don't know that. Bad moms, they've used in third place. There's a Don has his
review up both at the website. And if you subscribe on iTunes, it is the bronze medal this week.
23.4 million dollars, 20 million dollar budget. I have not talked to anybody that did not like this
film. It looks bad moms, really. Yes. It looks painfully. See, I heard, I heard my head
don't go on stupid mom film. No, he might have said that, but he, he don't, he really enjoyed it.
He said, they, they, he was in a theater with about 400 local moms that they had done with the
the promotion company. The mayor of Southwood was, yeah, including the mayor. And he said,
everybody had a great time. Um, I went to the wrong place. And don't walk out of there without a date.
I will neither confer north and I that. Trying to pull up the rotten tomatoes,
bad mom, 64% on rotten tomatoes. So, I think I ruined Chad. I'm just leaving it alone.
Dropping from gold to silver this week, start track beyond 24 million this week. Two weeks,
105.2. Your budget here was 185. Sounds about right. What was that? Start chart beyond. I enjoyed this
film. I'm just going to say it. My, my reviews up at the website. Uh, it's 54.8 overseas.
I really enjoyed this film. And winning the weekend with $60 million, making half of its budget
back opening weekend. Jason Moore. You said it was such a enthusiasm. I saw it last night.
My review will go up later this week. I don't think you even need to review it. It's a point.
I will tell you if you hack my computer. You will probably find the folder that it's in,
just as easily as they found the black ops folder and I'm both a realism. Not at strong point.
And I do. I'm a big fan of them at David. You know this. That's not his fault.
I can't wait to see him in the stupid board movie. The other board movie they're going to come
out with him. Was it the wall? Oh, the great wall? Oh, it's about the building the great wall. And now
I'm of course apparently the Asian, oh yeah, American contingents. Now I'm calling it a white
watch film and I'm like, they're saying they're saying that Damon, we didn't need your help. I'm like,
come on. Guys, I love a peat. But it was weird to me as how they actually put that, the trailer
for that on-born Jason Born. I'm like, isn't that kind of bad form? You don't, you want people to
focus on him in this movie you don't want to see him in another role going into it. It's kind of weird for me.
Russ says that chips is officially coming to theaters in 2017. Back Shepard chips. Chip.
Pontan John. Jim.
Oh god. Don't even. So now we're saying that the young Han Solo might be a trilogy.
I'm good with that and we also got verification this week. He will not be in Rogue One. That's fine
There were some rumors. I'm totally okay with this this outside of Vader. This needs to be separate
Yeah, I agree with that.
On solid doesn't even need to cross pass with it at that point in a story of the black series figures
They exclusive from San Diego Comic Con are going for re-dikings. Oh, I'm sure they are what were the exclusives this year
Uh, though the one was
Um, and I forget her name, but the girl in that's lead for Rogue One
That that she's her action figure came out and Obi-Wan with the hologram princess lay I came out
Oh, really and
And another color and this Obi-Wan need a hologram prince
hologram prince. Oh, okay, I don't like that reverse it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll be fine
Yeah, thank you very much. Uh, and those fed those two figures looked amazing and it's I can't even imagine
It's a battle get a mom line
Max Landis is writing a peppy lip you film
That guy's busy
He is busy
They're they're I am you a project that he's not involved. I am strangely intrigued
Fuck this. Well, he's got a really good sense of humor
Don't know where he gets that from early on and my wife said mine's dating career
We actually were theming ourselves on the peppy lip you the cat thing because our very first Christmas ornament when you see our very first Christmas on the tree
It is peppy lip you in the cat. Well, that explains a lot about hunter and
No, it doesn't they're both males. I'm just saying the cat thing
No, that would be more of the salt and pepper shakers my mom got us that is Batman and cat woman
That makes more sense from that
But I'm a damn fellow other you I enjoy peppy lip you. I do too. I just think he's purged
I
More of a stalker. Yeah, yeah, but he just he's just wouldn't roofy away from a criminal
If you remember Kiersey Clemens from dope. She was the the druggy girl that paid in the street. Yes
She will be playing Iris West in the film version of the flash
Okay, I can see that but
I think it's kind of weird that they're continuing that
Version of the character, but okay. I've voiced my opinions about DC separating
their universes more than once
James Guns says there will be no infinity stones and guardians of the galaxy volume two
Interesting
And that's the other
Marvel universe announcement this weekend that's really got me the most intrigued though the infinity war thing
Yeah, they just named the first one in the end of the second one. It's not gonna be a little bit
Well, basically they're they're kind of given the impression that they're gonna be able to tell this whole story in one film
No, it's still gonna be two films. I haven't released a name of the second film yet
If it's the infinity crusade, you might see me have a meltdown
In a good way or bad in a bad way real this needs to be the infinity gauntlet just leave it alone
Because this is the story of the infinity gauntlet the infinity war is the second story
I don't I'm already having the meltdown now and I have to stop because I now hold here to deal with this
They're too actually
I mean do you okay
Okay, let's look at it from this perspective
If they give if they start giving Thanos more screen time
Before infinity war starts
Do you think maybe they could do with Thanos quest and they just have I think they should do it as an animated feature because you could do the Thanos quest animated
Yeah, but they I'm I'm thinking if they're gonna if they're wanting to tell this story properly
They're gonna want to do it all cinematically
I would love to see a Thanos quest movie. I just don't know
I
Don't know that they can pull that off. Why not if they can pull off a doctor strange it's a black Panther and an antman film
They could do a Thanos film too
Because people know about as much about all three of them we haven't seen the black Panther film or the
Doctor strange film yet. No, but I'm just saying they're doing one on these characters that two a lot of people are
I'm not saying to us as fans or what but a lot of a lot of casual fans as lesser characters
They got a much about just got an interesting tidbit in the chat room
Would you be more in on Pepe La Pew if it was voiced by someone who is expressed interest in doing so named Mike Myers
No, I
Because I think the subject is terrible. It's just I mean I'm still in Pepe La Pew was like a five minute cartoon
In a half an hour show. I got it. I got it. I got it. I know you get for this
genre now. Yes
Exactly, we didn't even plan I know we didn't I just think the first friends person
I thought look don't get your art depot do get genre no because this would be so far outside of what he normally
Make it so much creepier. Yes
I can hear it in my I was like oh my god
That's it's got to happen you got to get genre. I know to do this. I think that would be genius
Because it would be so out of left feel. I'm like really and then the moment they drop that first show
I'm like oh my god. This is so great
It'd be about as weird as the first time we heard Antonio Banderis is character come out of puts in boots his mouth
Yeah, that's a fair point but I just the fact that we actually let's scary
Who else are you gonna get who else mainstream? I don't know what that was creepy
We should have buddies. That's just what we did
We all know that Disney is remaking the Nutcracker
We're doing as a feature with with the Misty Copeland. We have our lead
Mackenzie Foie will be playing the lead
She is a little girl from interstellar
Oh, I never made it all the way through that
It's actually gonna be called the Nutcracker in the four realms
Which makes it sound like something out of Narnia
I'm trying to think of what I've seen might know her from
She was a redness redness me in
Twilight saga breaking Dawn parts one you know dark and well, I didn't see that yeah
She was in oh she was in the English version of that Ernest and Celestine that animated feature from last year
She played Celestine
So nope still didn't see she was also in the conjuring
She doesn't know and surprisingly I haven't seen any of those. She is she'll use it
That's your lead
Light's out. We talked about that just a moment ago. Obviously getting a sequel
Light's still out. Yeah
Candles out now checking the power in news that I'm not sure how to deal with if I still out the power
So from the why are we rebooting this department? It is a film you and I have talked about on many occasions
That I did not enjoy although I always enjoy the female lead in this film Disney is rebooting the rocketeer
Here's how it's gonna go. Oh, yeah, yeah, I read a little bit about this. I don't know if you could click this disappeared
Bruce Campbell's here. It takes place in the cold war so we're going forward a little bit. Okay, and
The new rocket tier who goes looking for him will be an African-American female
So they're gonna there so they're going the current Marvel Iron Man route which I still I why can't we just create new heroes?
Because you know I didn't like the rock tier to begin with. I've I've always kind of been a fan of the rock
It's it's it's stupidly fun. It's just like I may I may have to revisit it
But I just remember seeing in the theater going why am I here? I don't think your opinion is going to change
Well, if you didn't like it then I don't think it that's the kind of film that age as well
I think that was just kind of cool that they're trying to create a superhero out of thin air
They're trying to create a mythology and the thing is that you can still remember that movie
Today, you know, it's it wasn't forgettable. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, kind of like like well had Jennifer Connelly
I'm not going for it. Okay. What do you have fond memories of Dave
Rocketeer or Warren Badey's Dick Tracy
You Rob obviously you're not a fan of the rocketeer, but were you as bullets or blade
Upper socket lower socket. I got a knife. It's going on one of them. I know there were both really terrible films
But they're they're they're still memorable. You know, I still watch there are things about them that stick with you exactly
Good way and in a bad way, you know on either side of it. And as we know they are remaking jumanji
Again, I'm Nick Jonas in talks to join the cast
Really not that great the first time
No, and the thought always going to get to know where you can just buy your own acting gig
It's
Radio show
You think they're there's going to be a movie thing for for people like Rebecca Black doing Friday
You're going to have yeah
Arch music factor. They're going to do an arc movie factory now
Yikes
Yeah, I think yeah, I think that already exists is called a silent
It's a spell here hints hints are short NATO saga. It's called Fox movie company
Oh
Movie new releases and places you see movie releases this week suicide squad where five days away
I'm still not completely sold
That freaks me out that you still feel that way that on you do I'm not going to use the words it'll wind
But we're in the ballpark. I will say I do not like Will Smith being in it, but and I still I still contend until somebody can prove me wrong
It was in his contract to say that
We're just like some kind of suicide squad
Let's go save the world although I'm very very interested in
Have you seen the first single from the soundtrack?
The polyphonic spree covering Nirvana's lithium
Real me yeah, I I'm scared to click the link to hear it, but that's one of the things
Also this week nine lives that
Looks can somebody call Kevin Spacey and go excuse me sir your Kevin Spacey have you seen this? Thank you
This looks awful a shaggy cat can we just call the shaggy cat?
This looks so that why would you open that opposite so it's not really
Seriously why would you even think that was a good idea?
My movie's gonna get buried. This looks terrible. It's in Assassin's Creed opening opposite rogue one
Surely not
Not the same didn't surely not it's within days. I think like I thought Assassin's Creed was slated for no
Vemper. I think it's gonna have like a two-week lead time. I thought rogue one was no other
I thought one is December. Yeah, I'll please don't tell me they're that crazy 21st of December for Assassin's Creed
So after rogue because rogue is opening early December, right? That made a week before
Yeah, they made one already think that just saying the little prince is finally getting released
It may be a different version, but it's getting a theatrical release finally this week after
Universal pulled the plug a week before release
I know there's a version on Netflix. I thought I saw something about it. Yeah, it's a it's a it's a children's book by
Antoine de Zupri and that Antoine de Zupri. Yeah, the Antoine de Zupri and
Oh, that Antoine de Zupri. It was a really
Very highly regarded anime like a clay animated feature that they did in the early days of HBO when HBO did a lot of kids programming
That's how I kind of got attached to it. It was like right around the padding to an era
I'm going to prepare anything was kind of a thing on public television front
It was kind of like okay if public if PBS has got this we're going to do this and
It's it was kind of one of those things that always conjures up really fond memories of the early 80s for me and in the frail rock era
Because they usually would play right around frail rock
Also a movie called Little Men this week a pair of best friends have their bond tested by their parents battle over a dress shop police
Jennifer Ely Alfred Molina great canier clear fully are all in this together boy
Does that sounds painful that sounds like a great guy flick to go drink some beers and watch
DVD and blue right new releases in places you get DVD and blue right new releases this week can you
That looks kind of heard that was this will be a rental a die will go rent this this week if I get yeah
I get some time. I'm gonna have to rent that as well. Oh, I also have to remember
Yes, so what do I have to return big threat that Greek wedding to so
Which I thought was hilarious? Are they gonna give you your man card back when you drop it off?
That's your boy. I'm just asking. I'm just curious. I'm just everyone's from all you have to rent a romantic movie for the lady
So in between
rewatching of the shield
You know because I saw the trailer for that thing. I'm like this doesn't even look like it's gonna be fun
I'm not afraid to say I enjoyed the first one. It's the second one. The funny the first one look funny
This thing look painful. It's great. Is it? It's really good also the
Mother's Day movie that came out earlier this year available this week because that series of like Valentine's
The lobster
This was that weird movie about the people who when they turned 25 they turned to animals but sky escapes and he goes to this other place
How did it cast if I remember correctly?
You've trailed off there sir
If we try to explain it we'd be running over time
The bronze
It's DVD and blue ray this week
Yeah, and that her character that there's is gonna be playing
If we're Katie sigals playing her mother. No, no that penny is
the other girl
uh my um biolic no
Know the original girl from that show now. You're gonna make me look okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah
That makes sense that she's playing it. Okay. Uh the bronze let's just don't watch this one with the kids
It hits the R rating and about the first 30 seconds for language
Melissa Rouch plays a former Olympian who has an accident can't really be in Jim just anymore and
Well, it's funny, but boy you've got to have a certain sense of humor. She hates the world sounds right up my alley
It really is right up here. Yeah, you're enjoyed very much. Yeah, she has a personality. I think with a peel-out
I rise which is kind of like four rooms and I hope and and just one
apartment building a bunch of different Tom Hiddleston's in this friend of the show Jim Bregel saw it and he went
Man, I bet
Laser team four losers are thrust into the position of saving the world when they stumble upon a UFO crash site
It becomes genetically equipped to the battle suit on board each one of them. You has a different piece of the suit
I saw this trailer coming here to go becoming a series on YouTube red. Okay. That's what I thought it it's very it looks very funny
It looks like
Okay imagine greatest American hero, but each one of them got a piece of the outfit
Oh yeah, it looks like really fun. It looks like four drinking buddies. It just kind of stumbled across this and they each one of them get some kind of power
I'm still questioning what's YouTube red?
It's a new series of YouTube where they're doing they're like giving create YouTube creators like people that are like
Big into YouTube. They're giving them series that they can put on YouTube
And there's a bunch of them. Yeah, there's a one we just call a YouTube
No, because this is more focused on web series more than it is just videos
They're giving them the creators their own realm basically to play with
Meet the blacks which friends of the show the movie brothers absolutely hated
Speaking of which one of the congratulations to Kevin he got through season one of the yarius today
So he's well on his way we're proud of the boy. He's a way ahead of me. I just still haven't never watched
Such a great show. I know I have to be careful when it runs mentioned stuff like that around here because I always feel like he's gonna throw a piece of
Equipment at me confirmation the HBO series the HBO movie about the confirmation of Clarence Thomas
It's DVD and Blue Ray this week
Viral which I know is right up your alley
Have you not seen this is it?
Have you not? No nothing. I got nothing
That Clarence Thomas guy. He's innocent a touchdown girls
Following the outbreak of a virus that wipes out the majority of the human population a young woman documents her family's new life and quarantine
Try to protect her infected sister. Yeah, wiping out the human race
But it's it's that whole horror thing. Well, I mean if if a virus has turned them in the zombies or just is it just is it just killing them?
Is it like Ebola run a muck there is somebody in this and I want to talk about this guy for just a minute
The rapper machine gun Kelly who does stuff with WWE everyone's in again. I want to give him some credit
His real name is Colson Baker
He is on rotis and he does a tremendous job on that show really I love I
Rotis has sucked me back in. I was teetering after the second episode. It's been great ever since
So I got that going for me. I really feel like I need to invest in this show
I mean tonight is the preacher finale by the way another show of it. I
I want more I want one and then like my DVR stops recording it for some reason
I think a child is to blame for the fair enough
Also this week Porter Reekens in Paris
See this moving remember you were to your touting this is this movie is so much it's first of all
How did they get there Louis Guzman by a plane Louis Guzman and I Paris Texas Periscence is one of my favorite actors
But he's one of those guys that's never gotten the chance to really carry a project
He's always been just a character actor that's kind of pushed into the background is great in this movie
Basically him and I said Edgar Garcia the guy that's in it with him
There are two New York cops who get sent over to Paris because their specialty is
They they bust like counterfeit rings like counterfeit bags and stuff and there's a
There's a designer who's basically been given a ransom like one of her brand new bags is going to be flooded with counterfeits
And they don't pay money and
So they have to go over there and and bust the ring. It is Edgar Garcia
It's got a really good cash Rosario Dawson's in this Rosie Perez is in this
It's really it's really funny
It's a lot better than it has to be so go check this out. It'll be available this week as well
Also Batman the killing joke. We're gonna talk about that later this week and Carter high
Kitsets DVD released this week the story of the football team that's basically the other side of Friday night lights
Oh, okay, okay, Dallas Carter
So if you've read the book of Friday night lights, and you know how that whole thing works out
I'm kind of intrigued by this and we actually interviewed one of the stars
Two years ago at the video fest and we were at the Alamo Draft House
Anything come out of other than the obvious because I know we really need to get a chance to talk about it
Last week because we were wrestling intensive anything coming out of Comic Con that really freaked you out because I figured it now
Probably is just
Justice League and Wonder Woman have not watched the con trailer yet love the one sheet, though. That's a you
Oh, you have a watch the con trailer yet remember I'm not a big con guy that
Come on, she had a body baby do they actually they filmed a con right in the same locations as Jurassic Park so you can tell you could tell
the way that they've got his
In proportion to the humans is the biggest con is over. Ben. I think he's like
twice as big as he was in Peter Jackson. Oh, yeah, I mean that one sheet looked awesome like like people look like a great
Yeah, there's that one shot of them in the trailer where they've got him from the back and then the final shot
week just peeks up over the edge of the cliff and you're like oh my god
It's like you'd like this guy is barely I think Hiddleston is the guy that's on the cliff's edge and he looks like he's barely bigger than his eye
Hiddleston's a great choice for me and in plus you've got you've got gray and
Easy from straight out of Compton in this thing
I'm I'm jacked beyond belief. I just I hope they don't screw it up
But yes, one or one and look phenomenal. So I hear you can talk to fish
That I mean did anybody know that was coming? I'm keeping us the the footage the justly push no
Yeah, yeah, can I keep this?
A lot of friends and the marvel netflix lineup. Oh, yeah, holy god
I missed that one
Which you missed you missed three. I really I the one I like the most was the one they showed the least I love the different
And you know I'm not a big Nirvana fan, but the way they used come as you are and that that was awesome
That that rose the hairs up on the back of my neck. You got to see this
Damn and I'm really interested in Luke Cage
No, the direction they're taking with it. I'm really really interested in this and I love the I love the music
They're playing in that trailer. Yeah, it's just marvels just killing it
Have you watched Jessica Jones yet? I have not neither one of y'all. No, okay before you even think about diving in a Luke Cage before
Yeah, no, I've got to watch their novel season to you know that. I don't I didn't think he knew that
Yeah, have you watched their double season to yet?
I'm about halfway through two okay
Because I did notice that they they gave the slightest ever so slightest teaser of the punishers stand alone
Yes, so because that is happening again. It wasn't then it wasn't then it wasn't know what is it right?
But everything that they showed both on the DC on the Marvel side was just a hair raising
I'm sure pretty much alone with this, but but I'm was not a huge fan like the like their double pretty much almost lost me when they brought in the Punisher
I'm not there yet, so I don't know. I wasn't a fan of the Punisher
I'm representing Punisher. Oh, I see. I can't just just FYI
So did they
You're probably the thing about himself, so probably no
No, he must have me confused with somebody else
Probably the best on screen representation of the Punisher I've ever seen
Because there's been some really bad points. Yeah, I mean, what was the one who played him in the the war zone film?
That was terrible. I like that was the best one that they died like war zone. I like Thomas Jane
See to me it was you're too far away Stevenson. Yeah, yeah, yeah, to me that version of the Punisher is more like what he is in the comics
But burn fall
Crushed it absolutely crushed it because they they show his internal struggle better than they've ever represented on screen
I mean, I really liked it. He's basically just a guy who's witnessed the ultimate horror in his life and is the worst candidate for PTSD you've ever seen
And it feeds into his anger. So let's let's move into tecton because we're getting we're running a little bit behind you
Okay, okay, I did see I was at a
Microsoft store last weekend and I did see an Xbox one on display the slim
I'm sorry the Xbox one ass I apologize. Yes, it is definitely 40% smaller
I mean, it's tiny yeah whenever they were when they revealed that thing at E3 when they basically had the shell of the original and they pulled it up
And it was like good Lord 40% of the size of an Xbox one Wow, and it's white all pure white and you can design your own controllers
And they should some of those and oh, yeah, they had their VR on display too. Yeah, you can design your controllers and monogram
Whatever you want to have monogrammed on the controller laser etched onto the controller
More about a light run in 89 99. Yeah, you can spend a hundred bucks in a controller to try real hard. Oh, thank you
Actually, you really don't have to try that hard to spend another dollar. I'll just buy a regular controller and buy stickers
Any other tech talk stuff for me to get to the list. Oh, I'm sure that there's probably tons of stuff that we could attend
The NX
Have you seen this thing that they're they're saying it is going to be you're grumbling
It is a home based console that you can take anywhere as a portable console
So it can't decide if it wants to be a 3DS sequel or a Wii U sequel. I will believe it. What is it?
They all have a touchable and detachable controllers to
Put on the portable the I don't know. I will say we're only about four months away from the Nintendo retro console
That you'll be able to buy it for $60 or I'm that's what I was talking and Sega has already said there will be a Genesis version of it
It's been out for a while. They're the read the retooling it though. Well, they better do some serious retooling because I think the best they can do is
Composite cables like on this Nintendo
Many many people it's HDMI out. I'm hoping that they've got somewhere where you can download new titles into it
Yes, make it up great. Oh, yeah, I want to be able to download more titles. Yeah. I don't want to have just
They did kind of blow their load with the 30 titles because they're they're putting like their hottest titles
Into the Nintendo this is true, but a lot of those a lot of those titles had sequels. I do have one other item that I can only confirm because I've been confirming the second hand
Pepsi has now released their version of the free style
It has been seen in the wild and they placed up on the north side called voodoo barbecue right up by stone briar center
Interesting, it is about the size of the ones that
Heft's burgers has so it's a small or it's not the big ones. I hear the movie theaters
Well, that maybe just the one you saw though. They made it. I didn't know this is no friend of the show film. I saw this
He says it's out there. It exists
Did you get what it was called?
No
So I'm gonna have to go check it out. It's not my party. I need to do a little bit of a suction station
What
Pepsi sucks he has to say that he's morally is contractually obligated to say that. Why?
Oh, no, no, you know we're talking to not saying yeah, that's what I'm saying
Like you're kind of trading in in in in these waters there sir. I'll be taking a sip of my mountain
Do a fine Pepsi product. Oh, I run it clean up so why I don't add this to my resume
Right effect let me refill it with this one Rob. Okay, so let's go ahead and get to the list. Okay. Well, he goes this tree light is on
Well, he could only context monster book show ends with a list in his chads turn. Okay as we all know
besides daddy's hungry not not only do we have
Suicide squad kicking off this Friday, but we have the opening ceremonies of this year's summer
Did you get to see the thing or NBC?
tried to get the the IOC to make the team USA close to the end
So they would have more people
But watch it because this is in the native tongue of the land. It is a status unity though
So they'll be in the ease oh really yeah and real went
Or the IOC went no
That's jacked up
But anyway, it's there there has been this thing has been plagued
Oh absolutely probably ever since they won the bid back 10 years ago
that
This has been a disaster in the making and
It's gonna be really interesting to see how this unfold. I mean think about what what everyone went through in in so chief of the winter Olympics a couple years back when you had a civil war raging
Yards away from where people were competing and they were having to ship in the snow because they didn't get a
Exactly, I mean they're gonna wish that that was all they had to deal with here because I've got a list of things where
Brazil is just simply not ready for this thing
For starters, and this is a no particular order, but the economy is in the absolute worst position
It's been in in Brazil in about a century
They're facing like a according to what I saw a six billion dollar deficit. Oh, I'm sure
That's just for starters
That's not the first area where they've had financial difficulties in everything
I think about the next one the cutters going through well yeah dying making the stadiums well
They've had they've had similar problems here
You've got the environmental issues
Oh god you ain't lying
Let's just have sewage in the streets. Can we do that?
That don't it'll be fine the they where they're whether having the sailing rowing and the swimming for triathlon
Competitions is completely polluted raw sewage
Super back to swimming and raw sewage. I mean they liked they've actually defined this as super
Backteria that you can catch in this thing and oh yeah
Did I mention the human remains it keep washing up on the beach right by where they're playing these volleyball
Yeah, I think like a foot washed up on the on the beach by the volleyball court
Whenever I'm surfing I hate you when I run over a body
Just the visual Dave surfing I know I'm trying to get that out of my right one point done allegedly the housing crisis
Oh, yeah the Australians seems I even stay in the video no no no no. I'm not talking temporary
I'm talking for the Brazilian residents the the native oh yeah between 2009 and 2015
77,000 people have been evicted from their homes
There's a village that has been completely destroyed
Pretty much to just to build roads to Olympic park
Then have just they've been completely uprooted from where they where they've built homes
They're they're gone five days from opening ceremony's people. Oh, oh tip of the iceberg here then you have the
I guess to put it bluntly the police brutality issue in Brazil to wear
In December of 2015 the UN accused the Brazilian police force of systematic
Murder just to clean the streets up and the fact that people are getting off the plans of the airports and it's saying
Right with signs that say welcome to hell and the police force is saying we can't guarantee your safety
Yeah, oh, if any of the locals try to organize any kind of a peaceful protest
The they've criminalized any form of protest over there. So you'll get thrown in jail just for protest
Then we get to the absolute chaos that this that this police isn't politically
Yeah, yes, and you've had the president her chief of staff and the vice president
all under criminal investigation for corruption
conspiracy
misappropriation and misuse of funds and in the case of
I guess it's Michelle Tamer the vice president. I don't know. He's been accused of murder
No, you're three top ranking political officials are all under criminal investigation. I can't wait to book my travel
Yeah, I'm going I got it. I got a little hint for you. Don't
Then you have the security concerns as well. You had a tourist that was killed while fleeing a robber in February
You had arm bandits on motorcycles holding up drivers and stand still traffic last month
Just highway robbery literally and
That New Zealand athlete Jason Lee that said he was abducted and forced a gun to remove money from his ATM
That's just three examples off the top. So they got that going for them good times
Then we go to what you brought up with the the the temporary living accommodations
Where yes Australia refused to move into the Olympic village due to
Unsafe living additions like block toilets, leaky pipes and exposed wiring. I call that Thursday
Then you have the transportation issues
They had a three billion dollar subway line. They've yet to finish this thing
Even with 1,000 workers laboring nonstop around the clock to get it done with no time
To test it properly even if they've finished it today
They're not going to be able to test this thing in different run nine five days safety checks on well maybe we can get you right out there
Easy, there we go, but this is
This is going to take in trains. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Easy killer. This was going to connect
Eponema Beach with the Olympic park and the village. It was going to make it all connected within like a 15-minute ride
It's not even done
Then we have the Zika virus
That's all over the place down. Yeah, apart
Numerous high profile athletes have dropped out
Due to concerns golf alone and what I want to say was just as a Jason Day Jason Day who said he's also not going to play in the PGA tournament that weekend out of fairness
We get Roya McRoy backed out the Jason backed out hope solo as well the Steph Curry
Not even making the trip because of the concurrent concerns of all these already beaten teams by 50 and I even counting them and last but certainly not least
The doping issues
You watch
Russian athletes we learn nothing from hockey for I guess not they've been outed for doping so they may be completely barred from competing altogether
Kenya might be barred due to non-compliance with an anti-doping agency investigation
Which could include a band this this whole scandal could include a band of athletes from 12 different countries and six different sports and
To top it all off the only Brazilian test lab
Has been shut down where number one so they can't even run test local among four of those countries. I didn't make it in but we're a number one
So so you're saying that I have a chance at the Olympics
Then so you're saying there's a and and the saddest thing about this is like you've got these kids that were probably
You know training to compete in the triathlon for years and they're one because the window of opportunity to compete in the Olympics for an athlete is very small
You very rarely see them come back and compete
multi-back
Well, I mean like you know Michael Phelps is a rare I mean you think about the fact of
There's I think Carmelo Anthony maybe is the only athlete to metal in four Olympics
And who is that the women's beach volleyball team that comes back? Oh, you're a misty-manor tray
Yeah, I always wanted to call a trainer tray
Yeah, but and they've been playing forever. Yeah, and I thought that that London was their last one
But I saw them competing in in qualifiers a couple of weeks ago, so apparently they're not done
Jill's long during that one when you were talking about the police you want me to go
Why it you
But it's it's really sad that that you know, it's normally a one-and-done thing
It's a one-shot deal for these young ass more often than not you're absolutely right and
They may completely miss their opportunity because the the the the local government has been so corrupt
I mean
That's where a lot of that money that I think has disappeared is gone into the pockets of this corrupt president vice president
And I'm telling you the IOC is gonna get FIFA
I'm like, you know now it's going to happen. Yeah, because I mean, I've heard they are an absolutely night mayor to work with
They're they're horrible horribly disorganized and there's a lot of things and I and they're gonna get FIFA after this thing
Yeah, because people are gonna start looking back and going
You gave this to who and then you're going to give it to who or is it's it's cut or the world cup
Cutters are gonna work up South Korea is getting it next and
But it's out the nose well, I don't know cuz apparently when they did it back in 88 it didn't really go that
So what'd it be terrible to actually have like a backup plan for Olympics? I mean, we can't they have like a backup stadium to go to or something
They've never had deal with it and one aren't Batman Mr. Potatoe had does not agree
I mean, it's
We thought that you know the the boycott of the Moscow Olympics was
76 was it 76 or 80 was 76
Because it wasn't during it was it was not 80 because 80 would have been during the election
Okay, yeah, that's right
Didn't I have like 11 years to get the crap together for this? Yeah, oh, they had a better part of a decade
I mean, you know, they once they put in the bit they've got about a decade to get ready and it's like they are scrambling to even look like they're trying to clean up the mess
But in a lot of cases they're like well, we don't have the fun sitting born. I'm like what you did
You know, it seemed like I read someplace else that let me correct something
76 also would have been during the election
But it wasn't the one Carter needed Carter needed 80 that yeah, yeah, I think they are all
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll call it the summer a little bit when they separate it to winter Olympics there in the offiers
But just the fallout from this thing Jules pulled up an article the other day about about countries that are still
Like financially recovering from hosting the Olympics and this is gonna be probably one of the biggest examples of one
It's gonna take a long time to bounce back from this opening ceremonies five days away good luck with all that
All right show you the plugs. Let's do it. All right
